This short story is just a sample/preview of the Naruto fan-fiction I am currently planning to create, therefore many aspects of the stories final product are subject to change in the official release.

Act One

Konohagakure, the Village Hidden in the Leaves, is currently undergoing an important development. Planting the seeds for a special child, a future hero, one who will save many lives. His name is Uzumaki Naruto.
“What’s wrong my dear boy?” An elderly man at the age of 81 questions tenderly, caring for the child that sits in his lap, silently weeping. His once spiky brown hair now greyed out and sporting a matching goatee. His tanned skin now lighter, signaling the near end of his life. His face is gaunter, his stature below average, his brown eyes wise and soft. He sports wrinkles and liver spots of old age.
“The villagers… I hate them.” The child, Naruto Uzumaki replies, burying his face deeper into the robes of Hiruzen Sarutobi. He is but 4 years old with spiky yellow-blonde hair, vibrant blue eyes, and lively tanned skin. He is shorter for his age with three distinct sets of whisker-like marks on his cheeks.
“And why is that?” The elder man’s inquiry is gentle as he brushes the child’s hair, stroking his head in a show of comfort.
The boy peers up, tears threatening to escape the corners of his eyes, emotion stained clearly on his face. “They’re mean to me! Always throwing things at me or saying nasty words! They treat me like a monster!” Anger and sadness were evident in his rant, postulating defeat. “I hate them!”
“Hm~” The Hokage noises offhandedly, brought into his own head for but a moment. “Do you want them to like you?” He asks casually, staring at the youngling dressed in a simple white tee, navy-blue shorts, and navy-blue sandals.
Naruto nearly responds instantaneously, his innocent face transforming into that of hatred, but just as quickly it simmers out, a pause in his reaction. “…I don’t know…”
“Then let me ask you a different question. Do you hate all of the villagers?” The Sandaime digs kindly.
Naruto thinks on this probe for a minute, stipulating the correct answer to such a heavy-handed question. Sadly, “I…I don’t know? I’m just really mad.”, is the best his adolescence can manage.
“Then, when you find your answer, make sure to tell me because I believe one day you will come to earn their respect and admiration. The people of the Leaf. I believe that one day, they will need your help and when that day comes, you will save them. That you will become a hero.” The sagely man lifts his weakened lips, pride lighting up his withered age.
“You really think so?” He sniffles, a shyness present around his frame, yet hope is just there on the horizon.
“Oh~, I know so! Do you know why?” The young Uzumaki shakes his head, gazing up at his surrogate grandfather for an explanation. “It’s because you are strong my boy, stronger than anyone knows, stronger than you would even think! You, Uzumaki Naruto, are special!”
As if his spirits were lifted; a blush formed on his whiskered cheeks, his blue eyes lit with love, and his precious smile grew more radiant than the sun. Even with the tears cascading down his face and snot threatening to escape his nostrils, the adoration Naruto Uzumaki gave solely to Hiruzen Sarutobi remained unaffected. It was this moment that laid the groundwork for the Hero of the Leaf.

Act Two

Four years later that had remained true. While he hadn’t made any friends in that time, that would all change on October 17, a week after his birthday. It had seemed that one of his wishes finally came true. The Hokage introduced him to a boy his age. Sasuke Uchiha, the sole survivor of the Uchiha Massacre that occurred October first. His skin pale, hair black with a blue tint, and obsidian eyes.
He was quiet, isolated, and a bit creepy at first. Mumbling stuff to himself frantically, hiding away whenever Naruto neared, and sneaking off to God knows where. Naruto heard about him before at school. Girls always fawning over him while guys dissed him. The Uzumaki can’t say that he hated or liked him since they never interacted. He was in one of the lower classes while the Uchiha was in the highest. The impression he had at the time was that they were the same in a sense.
It was that thought that drove him to follow the Hokage’s words, to try and help someone in need. When he wouldn’t come out of the guest room, Naruto left food by his door. When his room started to stink, Naruto cleaned it up when he was gone. When he started to scream in his sleep, Naruto woke him up, sat across from him silently as he shivered in fear. Two months later, on December twenty-fifth, Sasuke finally spoke.
He asked for a favor, a request to join him back home. Without a moment’s hesitation, the blue-eyed child agreed. Even though the Uchiha Compound terrified him with its ghostly emptiness, he trudged along with his roommate, helping him every step of the way. They had retrieved a lot of items: kunai, shuriken, money, bombs, and scrolls. By the time the next year rolled around, Sasuke began training like a madman, day in and day out. When he had troubles, he would have Naruto help him find a solution.
The two continued their lives this way for two years. Sasuke wasn’t just one of the best in the academy, he was one of the best in his generation. He reached the highest class with the highest marks, graduating from the academy early at the age of ten. He was passionate, driven. His only reprieve being at home in his shared apartment with the young Uzumaki.
Naruto for his part took a more relaxed approach, offering up his training and knowledge for the sake of his friend, his very first friend, his best friend. His brother. More than worrying about his own future as a ninja, he decided the right move was to help Sasuke achieve his. He could see the darkness in the Uchiha, feel the hatred radiating off of him, and wanted nothing more than the best for him. Sasuke’s haven was their home and he intended to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, Sasuke saw issue with this. Witnessing his only friend squander his potential. They got into an argument, one that escalated into a fight. Sasuke won, showed him just how weak he was. The Uchiha Patriarch was grateful for the kindness Naruto gave him, but that wasn’t what he needed any longer. Naruto was strong, frighteningly strong, Sasuke could tell. He got things that the Tokubetsu Genin didn’t, couldn’t. A strength different from his own.
The two were at odds for a few months. Ignoring each other in the halls of their own home, but their bond couldn’t be broken so easily. Naruto forgave his friend, even if he never said it, while Sasuke apologized, even if was in his own head. They came to a compromise, one where they would focus on Naruto’s training, their goal to have him graduate the academy in just a year, and they succeeded. At the age of eleven, Naruto was a Tokubetsu Genin alongside Sasuke, the two training and undergoing low-leveled missions under their temporary sensei, Shiranui Genma.
They developed further with the free year they had left. Faster hand signs, advanced jutsu, and more refined taijutsu. They were already approaching the bare minimum level of a Chunin. Feeling confident in earning a promotion, Sasuke took the opportunity to try for a position as a Chunin, sadly he failed the test but was granted the title of a Tokubetsu Chunin. Eventually, the rest of the academy graduated and Team Six was born.
Their new teammate is a girl both boys knew to varying degrees, Haruno Sakura. A fair-skinned girl with green eyes and pink hair. She was a fangirl of Sasuke back when he was in the academy, a girl Naruto rescued from some bullies when he was in her class. Their reunion was…interesting to say the least. Luckily, they received a promising mentor in Hatake Kakashi, a fair-skinned man with white hair, a black eye, and a unique choice of fashion as his ninja headband covered his left eye.
The boys were mostly confident about their squad, expecting to finally go on real missions, however a wrench was placed in their plans when their sensei stated otherwise. They were tasked with beating the Jonin and securing the two bells from his person. They fought valiantly, impressing their senior on more than one occasion, but it was their recently added comrade that secured them victory. She figured out the point of the test and all she needed was their trust. Sasuke was reluctant, but conceded once Naruto was able to convince him.
The three worked together in unison, charming the white-haired man that would be overseeing them from the present onward. They celebrated at a restaurant of Kakashi’s choice, Ichiraku Ramen. The moment all four sat down, talked with the staff, and consumed a filling bowl of ramen, they knew this would be their spot. Not only was the food nice but Naruto even received a warm welcome in the founder, Namekata Teuchi, and his only daughter, Namekata Ayame.
It was that day the two boys’ small family expanded. It was that day they knew things would turn out all right.

Chapter 11: Tenchi bridge Reconnaissance 5 months later. Naruto return to the village and sees his friends and realized that naruto have missed out the chunnin exams retake. Every one of naruto's friends have promoted into chunin, sasuke told naruto that maybe another time. Meanwhile at the sand village kankuro and gaara fight against the akatsuki. Kankuro was poison, gaara was kidnapped and kankuro urgently delivering the message to the leaf that gaara is in trouble. The sand village needed help. Elsewhere at the sound village the sound ninja deliver an urgent news that Gaara. The current kazekage of the sand village was captured by the akatsuki. Hinata heard the news report of what it happened. His tailed beast the 1 tail was stripped away and taken by the akatsuki. Kabuto was plan to meet up with sasori. Most of the kazekage rescue arc plays exactly the same. Sasori was killed but he is intended to meet up with orochimaru at tenchi bridge at the village hidden of the grass, he told sasuke and sakura about a meet up with orochimaru, which means that they have the chance to get and bringing back hinata. Deidara however, he escapes. Gaara died but he will later revived back to life by chiyo and with a helpnof naruto. Everything plays the same. After the rescuing the kazekage. They all return to the leaf for reports on the akatsuki. Sasori said he will meet up with orochimaru ar the tenchi bridge. Sasuke demanded to go there on a recon mission to rescue hinata. Tsunade agrees and accepts the mission but before dismissed, tsunade will contact a temporary jonin to go on an escorted recon mission is due to kakashi is absent because of his Overusing of his mangekyo sharingan and losing a lot of chakra. Sasuke nods. He goes home first. Sasuke also wants sakura to join on their Reconnaissance Mission to meet up orochimaru. Then when sasuke goes home and beg to ask his father, hiashi to take hanabi on her first mission to rescuing hinata uchiha, he would gladly to take her but hiashi is worried she would be in some serious danger. Hanabi is not afraid of danger, hiashi also said what about neji. He should join. Sasuke told his father to say no. Neji is tired and he needed rest. He fought hard to defend himself. Its sasuke's turn that need to protect and grew stronger. Hiashi would not make up his mind and he would agree to go along with hanabi. She would love to come, because a sister need a love and spend time with her big bro and his girlfriend. Since hanabi now a genin and a kunoichi. She love to join so she wants to have her 1st experience of being a prodigy kunoichi on a mission. Hiashi would agree but on one condition. Hiashi told sasuke that make sure keep his sister safe unharmed, after rescuing gaara. Sasuke and hanabi ready to go and sasuke calls out sakura and naruto to meet up at the hokage office. Tsunade told the 4 of them that they are going to the grass village at the tenchi bridge to meet up orochimaru. But before that. Tsunade introduced them to yamato. Yamato will be another jonin captain on the team and yamato will volunteer to replacing kakashi, temporarily to escort out of the village for a recon mission. Hanabi being the 1st timer as a genin on a mission, she apparently will join the party alongside sakura and akamaru. They all gather and ready to leave the village to save hinata from orochimaru. Everything is most likely stays the same except sai. Since sai is being written out of this, instead hanabi is replacing him so sai would not be involved nor he would let assassinating hinata because of danzo's doing. Team 7 went off to the tenchi bridge to meet up with orochimaru. Everything plays out the same like the original were naruto fights off against orochimaru, whil transform into his version 2 cloak 9 tails. He accidentally scratches sakura. He almost killed hanabi but akamaru protected her. Sasuke trying to fight naruto then yamato trying to seal him and then later hanabi and sakura heal naruto. Then later they trying to find hinata. They all meet up at orochimaru's lair. Hinata opens her eyes and activated her sharingan. Naruto talks to her that she needed to come home. She refuses. Hinata fights but she have gone so fast and got so much stronger. Then she uses lightning chakra and naruto was in his self conscious to talk to kurama. Kurama tells naruto to released kurama to take over naruto's body but then hinata shows up out of nowhere and stops naruto from taking over and then seals kurama to take over his body. Hinata defeated everyone but suddenly she is about tousedd her ultimate jutsu but orochimaru arrives and told hinata that its too soon to use it. Hinata agrees. Hinata, kabuto, karin, suigetsu and orochimaru escapes. The recon mission was a failure. But naruto wpuld not give up so easily. He would find the way to get hinata back. Sasuke and hanabi walk on the way home and they both nicely had a sibling conversation. Sasuke told did hanabi enjoys her first day on her first mission. Hanabi reply it was fun. She never felt so alive when she had her 1st ever experience to be on a mission with her brother and friends. Sadly she is upset that they could not get hinata back home. They tried their best. Meanwhile sakura runs behind them and interrupt their conversations. Everything is fin for both of them. They made it to the outside of the hyuga clan. Hanabi winks at her brother to ask sakura on a date. Sasuke embarrassed to speak. He told sakura that "sakura, would you like to go on a date. like just the 2 of us. We could go anywhere in the village and eat some bbq beef" sakura replies "i would love that, sure. You seem very honest" they both had a moment to stare. Suddenly akamaru bites sasuke on the rear and sasuke screams. Sakura laugh. Akamaru was grew jealous and overprotective of sakura. Sakura would love to go. So sasuke finally ask sakura to go on a bbq date. Sakura and akamaru left and sasuke walk back home to the compound while rubbing his rear after akamaru bite sasuke, neji told sasuke what happened. Neji said "why are you holding your butt" sasuke replied "you don't wanna know".
Chapter 12: Sasuke's Promotion A few weeks goes by. After the failure of rescuing Hinata Uchiha. due to which the akatsuki is a true threat. Sasuke Hyuga have tried his best to help naruto, yamato, hanabi, sakura and akamaru to bringing back hinata to the leaf. Tsunade inform all jonin to order them to find the akatsuki dead and want details. Elsewhere, danzo calls out one of the anbu member to join tsunade's ordering mission to find the akatsuki. and that includes Sai. Danzo order Sai to keep on low profile and orders sai that he is not involved on the anbu member and keep it a secret and trying to voluteer to join the mission. Tsunade have decided the announcement of naruto and his friends that Sasuke Hyuga. Due to his ordering duties and loyal assistance and training. He have now decided that Sasuke Hyuga is Promoted to Jonin. Sasuke now a Jonin. He decides that he will be in charge of taking Team 7. Naruto was excited and happy for his best pal now a jonin in his team. Then sasuke decided he would join Hanabi in the Team, Then Sakura now on team 7 as well alongside akamaru. Sakura told that the reason why she joins team 7 because she is the only one left on team kurenai, since shino and kiba are long gone. There is nothing left for kurenai. She decided to let sakura and akamaru go and gave permission to tsunade and kakashi to let sakura and akamaru on team 7. Kurenai have resign her duty for a while but she will always trained and advicing sakura to learn and practicing some genjutsu and all kinds of stuff she needed to learn. And sakura told sasuke, hanabi, naruto that Kurenai is Pregnant with Asuma's child. They all shock to hear. Sakura would love to join on team kakashi for just temporarily. Or perhaps will wait for the deliberation to permanently joins sakura on the team with akamaru, sakura promise that she would not replaced Hinata's Place. Sasuke holds her shoulder and said to her "as a jonin myself. You are welcome to be in our team, Sakura" Sakura smiles joyfully and then she thank sasuke and both are fallen down and then sakura kissed him multiple times. Naruto and hanabi smirk and they are about to laugh, and thrn naruto in his mind be like "hmph about time" while hanabi in her mind was like "I'm glad that Onii-chan[big brother] has the Girl that he wanted, as long as Onii-chan is happy. Im happy for them". And so Team 7 is now been reformed. Later all jonins and chunin squads. That includes, Ino, choji, Asuma, Shikamaru, sasuke, kotetsu and izumo are ready to hunt down the akatsuki. Sai in the background was also voluteer. Tsunade decide to split up and devided into 2 groups. Meanwhile hidan and kakuzu killed the 2 tails and deliver her body to their hideout and then they travel and hunt down the bounty who are they want to target. their target was one of the monks from the fire temple and then later they kill him and delivered the body to claim the bounty and then they rewarded. Suddenly hidan and kakuzu where ambushed by leaf ninja. Consist of shikamaru, kotetsu, izumo, sai and asuma. They fight, then they realized that hidan and kakuzu could never die. They all stabbed them but nothing hurts them to their terror. They all free and removing the weapons from their bodies after being stabbed. Hidan tried to sliced and deflect their attack, that is, Till hidan took one of asuma's blood and lick it, hidan transform his entire body resembles a grim reaper, then he is about stab himself on the leg and draw and forming circle and triagle on the inside, drawn with his own blood, he is about to self-ritual by stabbing himself to the heart like a living doll, whenever he stabbed himself, meaning whoever was hurt, one of them would be killed, hidan would be blessed by lord jashin. Shikamaru and asuma are frightening and they have to figure it out, how to get rid of the curse jutsu that hidan was formed. He was about to sacrifice and kill someone. Shikamaru tried to used the shadow stretching paralysis jutsu to hold up hidan, dragging him out of the circle. After that, hidan was out of the circle, then sai erase the circle. Meanwhile kotetsu and izumo was fighting kakuzu, then izumo stabbed his back and one of which is kakuzu's heart was destroyed. Kakuzu was angry and holds izumo by the neck and he is about to kill him and stole one of his hearts. Until Sasuke and his other team arrived and saves izumo from kakuzu's grasp. Everyone are fighting off but he is surrounded. He fled and return back to hidan. The fight has been around for 50 minutes until sai sliced hidan's head off. Asuma is about to get rid off his head until kakuzu arrived and save him and stitches his head back together. Sasuke and his other jonin squads arrived. The curse jutsu wears off. They all continue fighting. Asuma and thr others are tired. They mist need to take time until back up arrives. Kakuzu kill 2 of the leaf jonin and took one of their hearts. Then asuma did a fire style burning ash to exploded and create a smog in the area. They could not see them because of the smog. Then hidan tried to attack every leaf jonim surrounded him while the smog is too thicj to see. He have killed them all with his 3 bladed scythes and one of them survived, hidan sliced and caught one of their blood and lick it and forming a circle yet again. Who's blood did hidan lick it. Will never know. Asuma was scratched on his left side but cpuld not tell who scratch him. The smog has stopped. Asuma was injured and realized hidan turns himself into a living doll again. Then, hidan is about to stabbed himself in the heart to transfer his damage body into his and its too late, suddenly. Nothing happened. Asuma was shock till they turn their heads around and see Sai. He was cough and holding his chest, then blood comes out from his mouth. Sasuke witness it what the akatsuki have done. He activates his byakigan to attack hidan and then he did a 8 trigrams 128 palm strikes and finishes hidan by targeting the weak point and will paralyzes his body and then he sliced his head off again with his sword. Kakuzu runs away and escaped leaving hidan behind. Back up such choji and ino and a few other leaf jonin has arrived. Sasuke was tired and he passes out unconscious. Every half of other jonins including sai are dead. Half of them survived that includes Asuma and sasuke. Yeah in this AU. Asuma Survived but sai was the one who died because he is voluteer to join the mission with asuma and sasuke. Such a shame. Danzo doesn't mind that his fellow fallen comrade has perished by the akatsuki. Asuma was glad he is alive and made it home. kurenai was worried that she did not wanna abandoned her lover to be killed and end up being a single mother to take care of her daughter which later to be mirai later on. asuma did not wanna leave and abandoned his soon-to-be wife and child to left alone. Asuma remembered who scratch his left side. He Realized that it was sai who sliced his left side so he could take for the team. Sai sacrifice himself to save asume from danger. What matters, asuma is safe. He had plans to getting married to Kurenai. The inoshikacho are happy their mentor survived and so is sasuke. Later ibiki and inojin trying to interogate many rogue shinobis whom they collecting bodies to declaired a bounty including a beheaded hidan. He is alive but his body has been stored. He is now stuck and inojin trying to find answers on why the akatsuki are hunting down innocent shinobis and civilians including world leaders as bounties and why the akatsuki are capturing jinchuriki of the tailed beasts around other villages. Inojin have found out some few details on why they capturing tailed beasts. He found out that they are collecting them and used some sort of a weapon of killing the entire nations or worst. The Entire world. But there is nothing left to add. Hidan is now being imprisoned without his body and his weapon to help for eternity. Meanwhile sasuke awaken and he is glad that everyone is fine except half of them including sai. Asuma is alive and they must attend to the funeral to mourn some comeades who have died and respect for their honor for their sacrificed to help them. Danzo was disappointed that sai is gone but he has all other information about the akatsuki he needed and he will wait when the time comes out of his shadow. Days past Asuma and Kurenai are now officiall married at their Wedding, sasuke congratulate them. Sasuke was feeling sad and feel guilty for not saving sai. Asuma said "its alright sasuke, its not your fault. You tried your best yoy could as a shinobi and yoyr first time of being a jonin". Then enjoy the wedding party. Asuma told sasuke a question that who is going to be his lover for the next wedding. Sasuke replies "you remember Kurenai's last and only student. It was sakura" asuma surprise to hear from sasuke. Sasuke told asuma that "one day. Ones im in the legal age above 18. Will you be attending to my wedding someday" asuma replies "sure" then sasuke replied one last thing. "When your baby was born can i mentor your child one day" asuma replies "i would love that. I would hope that kurenai would give birth to a son or a daughter. Regardless. I will one letting my child to train with you, sasuke" sasuke is glad to hear him. Elsewhere the gedo statueis finishing absorbing the 2 tails, yugito died. Then pain told kakuzu what it happened to hidan. Hidan was captured and beheaded. All the information of the akatsuki are now on the leaf's hand and Pain is furious and that the leaf would found out about it. Later deidara and Tobi(obito) have captured the 3 tails and they all prepared another absorbing tailed beast in the gedo statue. Meanwhile, jiraiya returns to the leaf and inform tsunade that its rumored that the akatsuki is based on the Village hidden of the rain and he heard some few informatiom that the rain village is actually the leader of the akatsuki. jiraiya decides to go alone and sneak into the village to find answers there.
Chapter 13: Snake Sage Mode Training The Sun is setting down. All 151 sound village ninja are completely killed. Hinata is covered in blood on her face and she grind smirkingly like she is becoming the bad guy at this point.orochimaru witness her skills and training she is doing. Hinata has now manage to surpasses all of her killing spree but there's one task she need to be ready to seek revenge. Orochimaru told Hinata that she must gonto ryuchi cave to learn sage mode. Hinata listen and what does the sage mode do? Orochimaru said that "The user's perception abilities, reflexes, strength, speed, and stamina dramatically increase" its most likely temporary senjutsu increases the strength a d chakra power. Hinata was amazed and she is interested of learning such jutsu. She wpild love to learn that senjutsu. Suddenly orochimaru was coughing. Kabuto hold him. They both walk and kabuto puts orochimaru on his bed and then he left for some meds. 30 minutes hinata stabbed and striked orochimaru with her lightning chakra. Then she activates her curse mark form and then hinata said to orochimaru "i don't needed you. My training is complete. I can no longer needed you" orochimaru knew his day would come and orochimaru would plan to take over her body since she knew that he is getting weak and would pla to take over hinata's body and using her sharingan. So hinata slashed him but he dodged and transformed into his true snake form. The fight plays exactly the same like in canon where sasuke assassinating orochimaru before he wpuld take over his body. This result of hinata killing orochimaru for good. But a leftover of orochimaru still within hinata and the curse mark still remains on her neck and cpuld never remove or stable. So she goes out of the sound village and going to ryuchi cave, but before that hinata cast a genjutsu on kabuto to escape. Hinata manages to free suigetsu and recruiting any qualified sound ninjas. She recruited karin and jugo. Hinata have freed many victims whom have they harvesting on inhumane experimentations. Suigetsu, karin and jugo are now been assembled, hinata form their team called Hebi like in the original. They walk on their journey for days to find Ryuchi cave so she cpuld get stronger and learn senjutsu. They manage to find it. But hinata told the 3 of them to stay a bit. So she need to focus to go alone to train and seek the snake sage to learn sage mode. so hinata enters the cave, then she smells the aroma coming near by. Then Suddenly she met a woman who is floating and hinata was not ammusing to see a snake priestess welcoming hinata and then the snake priestess offers hinata to eat and enjoying to see the entertainment then a person comes out to see hinata, its a boy who is the same age as her, he would pleasuring her to its desire and served her food while wearing nothing but shirtless while wearing shorts, loincloth, a chain around his neck, and a scarf. The snake priestess tells hinata what she thinks of it. Hinata replies "everything seems nice and all... But everything is nothing but a Genjutsu, nice try" hinata knew this place was a genjutsu. Another word from hinata. "You knew that i was coming here, so i could enjoy some elaborate scheme that you fooled me. Just to bait me and trying to lure me here just to kill me. This is a test. if i lost this test, meaning i can't be worthy. Isn't it right?" hinata realized it and the snake priestess knew this is a test. Seems hinata was interested of any desire she likes, that's why hinata was not happy to enjoy the fun since its an illusion. Hinata said "this is only a test. You wanted to test me so i could not get through to the snake sage, if whoever failed. Anyone is not worthy to pass this 1st test. So I could perished" the snake priestess replied "clever. You seem you figure it out my tricks. You've passed. Now, lets go to the next part of the test, then you will meet the snake sage" hinata follows and turns around and witness that everything on that area that she enters is filled with disgusting and rotten food and human body parts that are been digested and completely deep composed just to served other snake people. Its like after a human victim being eaten by a snake and then throws up from its mouth like an anaconda swallowed a whole human body and throws up to feeding it to their children, then hinata saw the same guy who dressed up half-naked earlier who serving hinata with a treat and desire but he dresses up as a modest priest similar to the snake priestess. Hinata and the snake priest are close though she is being distance away from him due to which she assumes he would eat her. They arrived to a next test is to solving the puzzle. Meanwhile back to the leaf, naruto have finished and surpasses his training and learning the rasen shuriken, while sasuke struggle to learn rasengan, instead he decided to learn chidori like hinata did. Sasuke did manage to learn it much fast like in canon. Then sasuke have been doing 100 push ups for hours on end until his arms are in pain but he manages to relax and rest a bit and then. Then he and sakura learning together to learn mystic palm techniques and healing techniques and sasuke have mastered the strength of a hundred seal. The 3 have finished their training and hanabi was done playing with akamaru. Yamato and kakashi were tired of watching naruto to suffer to learn rasenshuriken. Word comes in that an anbu is rushing tobdelivering a message to tsunade that orochimaru was killed by hinata, and now she is going after her brother itachi. Tsunade calls out all unit that there is an urgent mission to attend to. Tsunade warned kakashi, yamato, naruto, sasuke, sakura and hanabi that hinata killed orochimaru and then tsunade says she is going after itachi. Everyone gathered to form a search party. consist of sasuke, naruto, sakura, akamaru, hanabi, yamato, kakashi, lee, ino, neji, tenten, choji and shikamaru. Then kakashi told the team must split into 3 groups. Kakashi with hanabi, akamaru, sakura and choji, yamato with shikamaru, lee and ino. Sasuke with naruto, neji and tenten. They split up separately to searching for hinata. Back at ryuchi cave. Hinata tried to solved all these puzzles to open up the sealed door. She have solved every puzzle pieces and there is one more. She tried everything but it doesn't fit. She was frustrated and stubborn to figure it out. She throw the single pice and it breaks into 2 pieces and suddenly she figure it out. She manages to fit the final puzzle and the door is open and hinata enters. Then the next part of the test is to facing her darkest fear.

Hello, so I read a Naruto fic the other day that I couldn't find anymore but it's funny because I have a whole fucking chapter but I couldn't find it, if you find it please let me know
In Hidden Village of Leaf, a lonely blonde child was lying on the bed. There was no one else living in their apartment, a place suitable for any family but too large for a child to live alone. It was the highest apartment and gave him a view of the village he felt conflicted about: it was beautiful, but he hated it.
"I don't understand," Naruto said to himself. "Why won't the old man tell me who they were?" Tears welled up in his blue eyes. "I just... I just want to know!"
"Pathetic."
He got up. "What!?" His eyes widened at the new claustrophobic, sewer-like environment. "How did I get here?" Turning his head, he found several tunnels, all flooded like the main route he was on.
" Come here."
"Who are you?" The voice resonated across all possibilities, so he simply walked down the nearest tunnel. It took him about half a minute to reach a gigantic open section of the flooded dungeon. "Hello?" Several steps forward let him see a giant cage with a paper saying 'Seal' covering it where someone would place a lock. "Wow!" A red slit-shaped eye appeared in the darkness. He froze when he realized you were looking at him.
"Finally you came." Bright white fangs lined up to form a smile. "My little crying ball and chain."
"Who...what are you?" He swayed and stepped forward to see orange-red fur made up of several tails. No more steps were needed for him to realize what it was. His mouth hung open in horror.
He laughed, shaking the strange cave they were in. "I missed seeing the miserable faces of the deadly mosquitoes right before I killed them. Are you going to get wet? Feel free, I'm not the one who will have to clean you up." above!"
"You are the Nine-Tailed Fox!"
"It's amazing that you discovered this on your own."
"Shut up!" He pointed a finger at him. "You killed my parents!"
"I kill a lot of human parents."
His fingers curled into fists before he screamed. "I hate you!"
Its claws banged against the cage to no avail. "That's exactly what I was thinking!" He growled. "You pathetic, weak, whining worm! Crying over dead weaklings you don't even know because they met to produce you, a living weakling." The thing's voice became mocking. "'Why does everyone hate me. I just want to be accepted. Nobody loves me.'" He rolled his eyes as Naruto began to cry. "Go ahead. Cry, like you always do. It's just the two of us, like always."
The boy sniffed. "What do you mean?" He looked around again. "Where are we!?"
"You haven't figured it out yet!?" He burst into laughter. "We're inside you."
"...No." He shook his head. "No no no no no!"
" Yes."
"No!" Naruto wiped away his tears. "Does that mean I'm you?"
He slammed against the invulnerable cage with his entire body. "Watch your mouth, you puny worm! As if I'd ever be a mucus-eating mortal runt! You should be grateful I'm talking to you!" He settled into his cage, growling. "And after all your crying about wanting to talk to someone other than the Third."
"Is that why they hate me?"
"Who could hate a whiny brat who makes a nuisance of himself for attention?"
Naruto gritted his teeth. "Just answer me!"
"Foolish humans like you are superstitious, irrational, and short-sighted. You fear and despise what you do not understand and those who are not like you. In the pursuit of things, your kind will hinder entire generations or waste them in nonsense. I have seen it happen centuries ago." He sneered. "Some of them may see you as I do, despite being a vessel and not my personality, the stupid worm. It may be that they find you as pathetic as I do. Or perhaps the lack of parents is enough to make one of you an outcast." ." He shrugged. "Human ignorance is as senseless as it is amusing."
That was the last thing he could take. He sat down and hugged his legs. A big part of him wanted everything to be a lie. He wanted to wake up in his bed without ever hearing that. This had to be a nightmare.
The Nine-Tails smiled, as mischievous and devious as it was sinister. "The Fourth Hokage, the one you admire so much, is the one who sealed me inside you the day you were born."
And he collapsed.
As irritating as it was for the tailed beast to talk to his jailer, he couldn't help but enjoy destroying his world. The closer he was to mental self-destruction, the closer the creature was to freedom. Just a firm tug on the seal and it would come off. In the meantime, he would enjoy tormenting the boy. Not that there was anything else to do.
It's been years since that day. He didn't tell anyone about it, but that didn't stop anyone from noticing that he was worse than before. The attitude he had caused him to go back a year and his grades didn't help either. Iruka, the Hokage, and even old Teuchi lectured him all the time about his behavior.
"Another year to fail the academy."
In the freezing cold of winter, Naruto's anger kept him warmer than his coat or scarf ever could.
Then he saw three guys around a girl calling her names.
"Insane!"
"Dolly!"
"What is wrong-"
He ran over and broke his nose with one punch, sending him sprawling in the snow and bleeding to dye some of the white red. "What's wrong with your face!" He looked at his now bruised knuckles. "It's bleeding like your mother's pussy!" There was no idea in his head what it actually meant: he just heard a man use that phrase once and the other guy got so angry you could see the veins in his head.
The two bullies were surprised and confused as Hinata remained crouched, her face reddened in her palms. "What's a 'pussy?'"
Naruto hit the next one and ducked under a punch from the other. He wasn't that good at taijutsu. It's just a year of training that gave him more experience than any rookie, let alone what was obviously lackey material. "It's you three, idiots!" He raised his knee between the latter's legs too quickly for him to deflect with his thigh. "And I think you're two in one now."
They got up and ran away, making him smile.
"Congratulations! You defeated three useless and untrained worms. Indeed, you are on the path to becoming a powerful shinobi."
He stiffened before shaking with rage.
"Are you… are you okay?" A low voice asked, snapping him out of there. Hinata flinched when he turned to look at her. "Y-you punched one of them really hard."
"You look like Neji," said Naruto. She also really looked like a doll. He frowned. "That idiot of your brother or something?" He raised an eyebrow as she shivered.
"C-cousin." Her pure white pupils looked at his hand. "CC-can I?" She pointed at him.
He shook his head. "It will heal." No matter how much he got hurt, he was always fine the next day or the day after that. His face contorted while hers turned red. "Are you sick or?"
"Please!?"
"...OK." Naruto tugged on his sleeve a little and took off his glove, letting the dark purple wrist breathe. "Just hurry up: I don't like freezing."
Nodding, Hinata fished a bandage out of one of her intern bags. She kept her fingers straight with her free hand and pointed to the wound with one of the fingers from the wrap. Naruto got them into position, and she began to wrap his fingers around his wrist. Your work was completed in a minute.
He wiggled his fingers and nodded with the same flexibility but lack of rigidity. "You're already practicing your medical fundamentals." He slipped the glove over his now bandaged hand. "Proactive, like Neji."
"You-you're good too."
"In truth." If he didn't tell the truth, he would have to hear the fox laugh at him. "I know Neji because I failed a year." He wanted to lie about the next part. "I was at the bottom of my class."
"Ah...but you learned something."
"It was not enough." He shook his head. "We need to go." Naruto started to run away. "If you see Neji again, tell him Naruto Uzumaki said to get that dick out of his ass!"
Hinata blushed and waved goodbye.
He could feel the interest of the beast within him "What is this?" He whispered to himself.
"Look at you, playing the hero."
There were many times he wanted to bang his head against the nearest hard object and many times he did.
About a year passed. The beginning of the second academic year saw the inclusion of someone who intrigued him. Of course, the feeling wasn't reciprocated, as if he cared. It was the beginning of taijutsu training.
"Fight me, you dark son of a bitch!"
The vein in Iruka's forehead burst. "Naruto!"
"Why do you bother, Iruka-sensei?" Shikamaru yawned from his place in the lineup. He never cared about the gym. In fact, he didn't care so much that he was almost considered as bad as Naruto, almost. Where they should have been, he was sitting.
The other students shared similar facial expressions. It wasn't like they minded swearing. He insulted everyone equally. And many of them laughed at the insults, although it was rarely against those directed at them.
He took a deep breath and sighed. There was no victory with his specific generation of students. Tierra del Fuego as a whole hadn't seen much open conflict in years: the previous generation was giving the current generation the easy life they didn't have at their age.
"Me and the son of a bitch doing this or what, you pretend idiot?"
"What's a si-" Iruka shook his head. The delinquent helped everyone's vocabulary every other day. "You know you have detention, right?" His imperturbable expression told him everything he needed. "To start."
Sasuke Uchiha began with a swerve and a hook, familiar with his opponent's preferences for taijutsu.
Naruto avoided the punch just barely, having it just graze his cheek, before lifting his elbow for the other boy's jaw. The way he fought was dangerous to himself as well as his opponent. As a rule, the academy didn't advocate for use of joints in attacks or grappling because of the damage they could do. Taijutsu specialists that worked with their knees and elbows more often than not retired before turning thirty due to arthritis. Grappling was best taught by professionals to full adults rather than children incapable of understanding that just because they do not feel pain in a lock doesn't mean it isn't working. The sheer damage throwing someone down on a hard surface caused as well was a blaring sign that it shouldn't be taught to inexperienced children.
Sasuke leaned back, careful to avoid any contact; shifted his balance on to one foot, and brought his other leg up to kick him in the side of his face or jaw, like he'd done several times before. Except his kick didn't make contact.
Grinning, Naruto grabbed the leg from opposite sides of the joint and kicked out the lone support. He felt happiness. And then he felt someone's hands on his shoulders and saw Iruka catch Sasuke.
"That is not academy-approved taijutsu," Mizuki, the man behind him said.
Sasuke shared the same dumbfounded and disappointed look as the rest of the academy students. It was the first time he was pressured by someone his own age, ever. The maneuver looked as slick as it was to pull off. A part of him was mad at Iruka when he set him down: he thought he could handle it.
Naruto's expression was blank. "I was winning," he said far more to himself than he did anyone else.
"Throws and ho–"
His fist drove into the chunin's stomach. "I was winning!" He blinked, set back into neutral position, and stood still at the realization of what he just did.
The entire training area fell silent as well.
Three kids were in the detention room. It was the usual suspects: Naruto, Shikamaru, and Choji. Only Shikamaru and Choji were really friends. Naruto was an acquaintance, and they were acquaintances to him. Being around them only made him feel more alone. He was face-down on a desk, Choji was snacking in his seat, and Shikamaru was laying down on what they were supposed to use for putting notes.
They had been like that for nearly an hour at that point and made barely more than some munching noises.
"I can't believe you punched, Iruka-sensei," Choji finally said.
Naruto groaned. "I was winning."
"Where did you even learn that?" Shikamaru asked. "Did you pick up taijutsu in the red light district?" They had ended up there together once. Naruto mentioned it as a source of his ever-growing list of insults, and Choji wanted to go because he passively mentioned eating some fried dumplings that were delicious there. Shikamaru went along because he was worried about Choji and didn't trust Naruto at the time. It was pretty fun until Iruka showed up.
"Thought it up on the spot. Why get kicked in the face when I can catch and trip?" Naruto grumbled. "Pussy shit academy rules."
"People don't normally heal from broken bones and cuts in days: we can't afford to get hurt like you can." It was something they all figured out. Sasuke had to beat him bloody sometimes. Naruto once accidentally threw a kunai meant for group throwing straight through his foot, and it was healed the next two days.
Choji munched. "Seriously, do you have some sort of kekkei genkai?"
"I was going to beat him."
"You're the only one who's gotten that close, I guess." Shikamaru shrugged. "You've been thinking about doing that for a while, haven't you?"
"...Yeah and it was great before it was ruined."
"Naruto, there is something wro–" Choji didn't understand his mistake until the blond boy was frozen with his fist several inches away from his face. Shikamaru's shadow was connected to his, stopping the textbook case of problem child from knocking his teeth out. "Uh?"
"He didn't mean it."
"Then why did he say it!?"
The Akimichi swallowed his potato chips. "Why did you punch Iruka-sensei?"
Naruto stopped struggling against the Nara family's special jutsu. "I really really wanted to beat the shit out of Sasuke for once."
"You want to every day." Shikamaru released him.
He sat back down as Nara resumed lounging. "I was so fucking close this time!"
Shikamaru patted his shoulder with the heel of his shoe, legitimately trying to comfort rather than insult. "We know. All of us do." He laughed. "Even Sasuke looked like he missed out on something. They're not going to let you try something like that again."
"I knooow."
The classroom door opened, and Iruka walked in. "Naruto." He called out. "Come with me."
He rose. "See you guys next time." Giving a goodbye wave, he walked down to the chunin. "Gotta go get lectured by Old Man Hokage and Iruka."
They waved back as the student and teacher walked out.
"Barbecue?" Akimichi said.
"Eh, feeling down for some fried dumplings."
"Right on." Choji opened the window and fit himself through. Shikamaru followed him out, leaving the detention classroom barren as it usually was.
Naruto and Iruka were walking outside but not to the Hokage Residence, which was awfully close to the academy. It was a trail both of them knew by different ways. Only one of them was doubtful the other was leading them to the safe place.
"Guess I really pissed you off this time, simping dumbass."
The teacher didn't acknowledge the insult or his words.
"You know, you can just beat the shit out of me and get it over with." A concerned glance made him raise a confused eyebrow. "What? I punched you, didn't I?"
"I'm wearing chain mesh. Granted, it still hurt." He looked ahead at a sign. "We're almost there."
Naruto looked at it and widened his eyes. "How did you know?"
"Know what?"
"Uh?" He shook his head.
Iruka went in and sat down. "Hey, Teuchi, one bowl of miso, please." He glanced back to see why the seat next to him was empty. "Naruto come in."
"Naruto is with you, Iruka?" Ayame asked. She looked over his shoulder and saw the orange-blue outfit the child usually wore. "Come on in!"
"Can you just beat the shit out of me instead?"
"Naruto!" Teuchi scolded.
Doing his best not to make eye-contact, the boy walked in and sat two seats away from his academy teacher. He planted his elbow on the counter, rested his hand on his cheek, and looked straight at the wall to his left.
"What's the matter?" Iruka asked.
"This is so fucking awkward."
"That's enough out of you, young man!" Teuchi said again, filling two bowls with their appropriate ingredients.
Ayame gave a small whine. "You used to be so sweet and innocent."
"So were you." Naruto looked at her, held out his hands, and started squeezing the air.
The teenage girl blushed before returning to her work. Her father was too busy preparing their meals to see the gesture. Iruka, however, was witness to the entire thing.
He looked at his flabbergasted teacher. "What?"
"...You were sweet and innocent?"
"I was a worthless crybaby," Naruto answered, spite in every word.
Teuchi sighed as he set down their filled bowls. "You were a normal kid." He handed Iruka his chopsticks and then Naruto. "Your favorite."
He broke them apart as he glanced at Iruka. "You're lucky I don't waste ramen, or I'd throw this at you."
"Why?" He broke apart his own.
"This entire situation." Naruto scowled. He dug his sticks in and began slurping. "An you stawp my fit wit Saske."
Ayame frowned. "Don't talk while you're eating."
"Stawp me den, ms its."
Iruka frowned while she shook her head. "Winning against him meant a lot to you, didn't it?" A tad bit of annoyance was in his mind as the lad kept slurping. "If he'd broken a limb, he wouldn't be able to practice for weeks."
Naruto stopped and swallowed. "Sounds a lot like that's not my problem."
"I thought you liked him." He started rolling up his own noodles.
"I like punching his stupid face...when I can punch his stupid face."
Iruka held them up and slurped them down. "There was one specific time you actually managed that."
"Sh-Shut up!" He returned to consuming his ramen with advanced speed, determined to get this moment over with as fast possible.
Teuchi shook his head. "You're going to burn your tongue." His daughter joined him in the disappointed head gestures.
"Dun caw!" Sizzling oodles, pork, and egg all swamped into Naruto's mouth, still hot. Then he swallowed. And then he realized it was all too much.
Iruka slapped him on the back, helping his fast-eaten food to go down. "You need to take better care of yourself."
"I can heal." The blond held out his scalded tongue and grabbed his burned throat. "Ugh."
"Dad told you so," Ayame chanted.
Rolling his eyes, he turned to his teacher. "So why did you bring me here? Are you some kind of maso pedo?"
"Where do you keep learning those words?!" Iruka gaped.
"Red-light district," Ayame answered, her eyes staring in disappointment at Naruto.
"They have these girls with weird black strips over them." He put a hand to his chin. "They actually don't like the guys who like them, but it seems like they make a lot." Naruto closed his eyes and smirked. "Exact opposite of the type of girls you visit there."
Ayame's disappointed stare turned to Iruka and increased several magnitudes in disappointment. Her father joined in. Naruto was still a child who didn't know any better. Iruka was an adult who needed to set an example.
"H-He's lying!" Iruka flinched. If there was one positive to the boy's attitude, it was that people tended to believe him. A man who called another a cunt to his face was not hiding behind the curtain of civility. It was their honest opinion with no filter. And, at least in this case, Naruto wasn't lying: the three usual suspects once ran into Iruka there being strung along by some street-walker in a red dress.
The looks increased further in judgment.
Sighing, the chunin shook his head. "I brought you here to apologize for ruining your big moment and to make it up to you."
"...I punched you, maso pedo."
"You felt cheated." Iruka's vein popped, though he kept a civil tone. "And you were. If you were facing Sasuke in a battle to the death, that could've easily been a finishing move: he did not expect it, he has little experience with grappling, and he was underestimating you. Except, you were training to become shinobi under academy guidelines. I'm sorry."
Naruto lifted the bowl to his lips and slurped what was left of his ramen. He got out of his seat before walking out of the stand. "Thanks."
"Uh." He watched him walk out of sight. "That's not really what you're supposed to say." Turning back to the father-daughter duo, he pulled out his coin pouch. "I'll pay for him."
The moment Naruto was certain he was out of sight and hearing range of anyone, he let the tears fall from his eyes for the first time in a long time.
"Aww, look who didn't get what he wanted."
He shook his head and wiped his nose as the tears kept coming.
"Then what are you crying over?"
"I'm...happy."
The beast offered no response. Intricacies of the mortal minds did not interest it whatsoever. A crying child was a crying child. It'd rib the lad for this weakness later where it can be maximized for torment.
It was the final year and the final day for Naruto's gaggle of trainees. They were all undertaking the academy's graduation exam. And, for once in the entire time they've known him, Naruto didn't say a single word, much less insulted nor belittled anyone. That fact disturbed everyone rather than soothed them.
They were lined up outside of the classroom for their final clone test. He excelled in taijutsu yet scored abysmally on the written ones. No on needed to excel on them to pass at all, however. It just looked good on paper.
Naruto was shaking, visibly and audibly. No one looked at him. There was no telling what his reaction would be. His behavior was far too abnormal.
"Naruto Uzumaki!" Mizuki called out.
He jumped and gasped at the same time before shambling to the class room entrance. Sasuke had his eyes closed, Shikamaru gave him a nod, Choji had a determined look on his face, Hinata looked far more concerned than usual, and everyone else was trying to avoid looking at him. None of them had an effect because he was too focused on what was coming next to even register their presence beyond physical obstacles to avoid bumping into.
Iruka nearly dropped his clipboard at the sight of his worst student looking like the lone survivor of a bandit attack. "Uh, stand before us, please." The child not saying anything still set him off. "Now perform the clone jutsu."
The fox began snickering.
Naruto's fingers slammed together so hard the impact could be heard in the hallway. He channeled his chakra to such a degree the wind swirled around him. A shaky breath left his lips before he did his best. The odd pop clones made when they formed told him it was done. He opened his eyes and inched them toward his left.
A faded, corpse-like version of himself laid on the floor.
The beast burst into thunderous, mocking laughter that filled the uneasy halls of his mind.
Mizuki and Iruka's discussion about the acceptability of the clone fell on deaf ears. He already knew the result. It was what he was dreading the entire time. Truly, it felt like the worst day in his entire life; he failed.
Glass shattering broke the two teacher's concentration.
They turned to see as their other students outside crowded the narrow entrance to peek for themselves. One of the windows was shattered in the shape of a person. Fragments of glass sat on the floor beneath it, coated red with blood. All the kids needed to see was the clone left behind to understand the why of it.
Mizuki turned to the nosy ones as Iruka stared at the shattered window. "Students, please wait for your name to be called."
"….Shouldn't someone get him?" Choji asked.
Shikamaru shook his head. "I've never seen Naruto do anything like this, but he'd probably mangle anyone who tried to stop him right now."
"S-Someone should check!" Hinata blinked and activated her byakugan. "He's…sitting on the swing outside the entrance, bleeding."
Kiba raised an eyebrow at that where everyone else understood.
"He'll be fine," Shino spoke, surprising much of them. "It's Naruto: he's survived worse."
Mizuki looked to a frozen Iruka. "I'll talk to him after, alright? You go log the records." He smiled as the man snapped out to nod.
The rest of the graduation testing continued without issue. Almost all of their class was left of and composed of clan kids, so they passed. Even the clanless Sakura came out with headband. Their parents had come to pick them up outside the front entrance, right in Naruto's line of sight.
Swinging slightly on the swing-set, there was glass shards in his whiskered face, two big shards in the sides of his chest, and one large lodged in the leg of the side of him that took the most impact. Not much shards were left on his jumpsuit itself, giving no other evidence of what happened. He received the usual looks of disdain, but he was too tired to rush over there and try to gouge them.
The ceaseless laughter of his tormentor did not pause once since his grand exit.
"Hey," Mizuki said, having been ignored in favor of what the lad could never have. "I know you failed the test but...what if I told you there was still a way you could pass?" He smiled as the kid's gaze focused on him. "Before your generation, there was this test only taken by the most daring or craziest of trainees. It was discontinued because people died failing it."
"Interesting."
"The test was to steal and learn something from the Scroll of Seals held in the Hokage library. Of course, you had to be the absolute pinnacle of what a shinobi could do to infiltrate the residence and take something as important as that from the strongest ninja in the village. Too many kids thought they measured up only to find out the hard way." Mizuki shook his head. "If you pull it off, I'll defend you and present you to the Hokage himself. If they don't accept it, I'll take the blame."
Naruto's face was stoic. "Sounds a lot like you're trying to get me killed, slimy fuck."
"Don't you want to pass?" Mizuki grinned. "Don't you want to be better than Sasuke?"
That was all he needed to say.
He took the shards out of his face, ripped out the ones in his chest, and pulled the one in his leg out. With one hand pressuring his biggest wound, he a bandage roll from his pouch. His body went taut as needed and relaxed when he was done wrapping his wounds.
"There's a cabin in the woods meant for scouts. If you've got what it takes, you'll find it. No one will look for you there."
"They would never kill you, but this one does mean you harm."
'I know.' He stood up from the swing-set and walked away from Mizuki without sparing him a glance. It didn't take a genius to tell the man was likely smiling maliciously behind him. Even if it was all nonsense, he wanted to prove he was better, and there was nothing wrong with him.
Naruto waited until the sun began to set, knowing orange blended best with the light then for him to make a getaway without notice. His plan was to transform into one of the guards or a rat. As far as he remembered, there was no vermin problem, so a rat was out of the question. He needed a face and a route to follow that wouldn't arouse suspicion.
A grin spread across his face when he remembered a jonin in glasses that had every reason to be in the residence. He put his fingers together and transformed into Ebisu, Konohamaru's equally annoying teacher. The brat and him had an odd relationship. Konohamaru tagged along with Old Sarutobi one day to his place, and he nearly brained the child when he called him an insane freak. He looked up to him after, having no one in his life that ever tried punishing him like that. Old Sarutobi was disappointed in them both and more annoyed when his grandson adopted Naruto's gadfly bluntness. Ebisu had given him an earful on several occasions because of it.
With his choice of disguise, he entered the Hokage residence. The man was respected enough not to be questioned, so he adopted a frustrated demeanor to dissuade anyone from approaching. He cut through the complex, following directional signs, until he reached the library, which had two men standing in front. "Out of my way! Lord Konohamaru requires more material to read!"
They made odd faces but opened the door for him.
He entered and dropped the attitude when he saw no one else inside. It was a pretty big room, even bigger than the Hokage's office. Shelves upon shelves of scroll were lined up in neat rows. If the Scroll of Seals wasn't on a giant display and giant itself, he'd have no idea where to look. "Old Man Hokage, you need to work on your security." He lifted the scroll into his arms and saw strange inscriptions on the stand itself begin to grow. "Ah, shit." With a spin on his heel, he ran towards the door, which was now glowing with the same inscriptions.
The two guards smashed it in with shuriken and kunai in hand. "Stop right there!"
He dispelled his transformation, letting a shuriken fly over his head while simultaneously blinding the two men. Naruto, knowing trying to get out the front door was suicide, did what came naturally: jumping out of the nearest window. He landed on the first tiled roof level and hopped over the fence with the scroll in his arms and a shit-eating grin on his face. Some citizens looked at his glassy, grinning self to make faces, but he couldn't care less on his path to the woods. Naruto Uzumaki wasn't some worthless forever trainee.
Hiruzen Sarutobi had his face in his hands. It wasn't every day that someone infiltrated the heart of the Hidden Leaf Village and ran out with their priceless and dangerous jutsu scroll. It turns out that certain someone would be Naruto Uzumaki, an ever-increasing pain in the ass. Iruka stood before him with several other chunin and a few jonin. "I just can't believe Naruto would do something like that! I know he's had his issues and doesn't seem to respect anything, but he would never act against anyone unless provoked!" "Citizens reported that he was walking around with a scroll that fits the description of the Scroll of Seals," said a chunin. "The guards outside the library reported that someone transformed into Ebisu caught him. They didn't see him jump out the window, but the citizens below confirmed it was Naruto." Choza Akimichi took a step towards Iruka. "I know he's your student, but I heard what he did earlier today; that kind of outburst is made by someone who is on edge. When cornered, no one is themselves." "Just because you're close friends with a Yamanaka doesn't make you a certified psychologist," Iruka said. "Violence, anger and destructive outbursts are how he deals with things. This robbery is crazy."
"My army of trained and experienced assassins, spies, and mercenaries was defeated by a thirteen-year-old orphan who intentionally distinguishes himself with non-stop crude insults, obscene language, the color orange, and violence wherever he is," Sarutobi said. His eyes looked at the crowd of ninjas with disappointment. "This entire scenario is crazy, but I believe that under the machinations of a traitor, Naruto Uzumaki was instructed to steal the Scroll of Seals and informed of its location." Crossing his hands, he took a deep breath. "You must bring Naruto Uzumaki to me for questioning, retrieve the scroll, and capture whoever is responsible for this incident."
They nodded and turned to leave, but froze when Hiruzen's presence alone seemed to choke the life out of them. "If Naruto Uzumaki dies by one of your hands, then help me, I'll kill you myself!" He relaxed. "You are now dismissed." The Hokage's office couldn't be vacated any quicker than that night. Sarutobi looked at one of the hanging portraits of the Hokage. "I wonder... If we ever meet again, will you forgive me? Will you forgive them all?" He sighed. “You sacrificed everything you could and they spit on what was left. How can I protect you when I have to protect them too?” He almost laughed. "That must have been how you felt before the end."
He offered no words. The man's image was as robust as he was in life. When you can't do anything, all that's left is to endure.
Contrary to popular belief, Naruto was not an idiot. He simply expressed his first thoughts before examining them properly. It was only when he doubled over that he acted stupid. Iruka noticed this. He was sure Shikamaru knew this too, but he never said so because it would only encourage this behavior, which is why he didn't do it. The places he frequented were out of the question. The red light district was a good candidate, but it was very populated. Naruto didn't like being around other people, but he didn't like places that made him feel trapped. All that was left were the forests.
And that's exactly where he found him, lying in the grass covered in dirt next to a rolled-up parchment by a Boy Scout hut.
He lifted his upper body off the ground and smiled. "Ah, Iruka-sensei!"
"Naruto!" He jumped from a tree branch and charged forward. "What are you... Did you just call me Iruka-sensei?"
He smiled. "My bad, simplistic idiot." He stood up. "I'm in a really good mood right now, so it just slipped out." He flinched when Iruka hit him on the head. "There!"
"You are the real Naruto." He blinked, looked at the Scroll of Seals, and refocused on the troublemaker. "What the hell were you thinking!"
"I was thinking about annoying everyone, rubbing it in everyone's faces that I'm the best shinobi of all time, and learning an amazing forbidden jutsu!"
Iruka looked at the young man before him. It was the happiest he had ever seen him. While it wasn't as unnerving as before, there was still a lot to absorb. "Who outlines it on the parchment?"
"Mizuki!" Naruto laughed. "He thought I would believe this story about people stealing, learning something and graduating. I told you all what a disgusting idiot he was. I just went through with it to see if I could make it!" He blinked. "...I probably should have played stupid, but I'm feeling pretty good right now." His expression died when he saw a giant shuriken heading towards Iruka. He fell and swept the feet of the teacher blinded by rage.
“Damn demon brat!”
Iruka rolled to his side and stood, hands reaching for a kunai in his bag. "Watch your tongue, Mizuki!" “Why hide it at this time?!” Mizuki grimaced and dodged a kunai, hiding behind a tree trunk. "Just look at him!" He sneered. "Naruto! You were born thirteen years ago! The day of the Nine-Tails' attack! The day Iruka's parents died!" Frowning, Naruto brushed off the dust. He already knew what the man was going to say. It was an old story to him, but he didn't know about Iruka's parents. l"It was you! The Fourth Hokage trapped the Nine-Tails in a human body! You are the Nine-Tailed Fox!" " Kill him!"
"No," he told them both.
Iruka moved to flank Mizuki. "Don't listen to him!"
"That's why everyone hates you!" He prepared a shuriken for his former teacher colleague. "You're a freak!"
Naruto ran to the other side, made a hand seal and piled the man with eight other duplicates of himself while he was focused on Iruka. "Shut up!" The eight Narutos held Mizuki's limbs, each held by two. "Stupid!" He stepped on the man's groin before straddling the man's unprotected chest. "Holy shit! I have fox ears and a tail!? I have fur!?"
Mizuki fought the clones, but didn't have the strength to free himself. "You have mustaches!" Her eyes looked at him like everyone else's.
And he took it personally.
Naruto jabbed his thumbs into Mizuki's eyes until blood gushed out. "Oh, shut up! I'm sick of this!" He came out of the ruined sockets and started crying from Mizuki's screams. "Every time! Every day! The same fucking look! The same words!" He broke his nose, sending a drop of blood hitting his whiskered cheek. "Do you worms have anything better to do with your goddamn meaningless lives!?"
"Naruto," Iruka shouted.
"I didn't do anything to you! Nothing! And you look at me like I'm a piece of shit!" He knocked out several of Mizuki's teeth. "Oh, I insulted you!? How dare I when you fucking spit in my direction!" His hook knocked his jaw off balance. “You can say and think whatever you want, but I can't!?

Iruka pulled him and held him even as he struggled against him. "I know!" The clones disappeared in puffs of smoke without Naruto around, Mizuki well beyond neutralized. "I know you do!" He started crying too.
"I just did!" Naruto stopped struggling. "...I just hate this fucking place."
"I know and I'm sorry." Iraku sat down with his student in his arms.
They could rest in that forest for a while, but the village was waiting. Both shared a responsibility. Over time, it was certain that someone would get tired of it.

I'm finally an anime woof. A friend convinced me to watch Naruto and Sasuke is currently my favorite character. There are so many tho but they'll help me keep up. I low key never noticed Megan said the title til a few days ago.
So other than obsessing over someone who doesn't exist I'm shopping for an upcoming vacation. I used to wear lots of shorts but my friends told me to get leggings and dresses to be more feminine. They ain't say it like that lmao but I trust them. I should be 30 pounds down by the trip so that's lit too. Speaking of weight I'm a fluffy brat. Black with a beautiful complexion.

Stay with me here, because I've been thinking about this for days now.
Okay, so without giving much away I'm a queer woman and I've been around the internet for a while. With queer media, I noticed that they tend to fall into a few categories: intentional queerness, queerness that can only exist in subtext, accidentally queer (no intentional attempts at queerness and maybe even attempts at the opposite, but OOPS ALL QUEERS), and queerbaiting. I'm not boiling down the myriad of queer media by the way, this is mostly for the sake of the argument that LO falls into none of these even though there is actual attempts at queer rep.
Which by the way, it should not be hard for LO is have actual queerness in its storyline. This is Greek myth, which has plenty of queer stories within it. Choose any God and he probably kissed a beautiful man at some point!! But LO doesn't do that, not really. Even when it has a queer couple on screen, literally kissing, it doesn't have any depth to it. And I'm aware that Rachel is bisexual but having a queer person writing a story doesn't actually mean it'll be queer itself, especially because LO relies solely on heteronormative tropes and gender roles to push its storyline at all. Every meaningful romantic relationship is between a man and a woman within LO and it doesn't leave room for anything else. We've talked about how most of LO's female relationships are based purely on competition and thus leave no room for anything positive--and rarely romantic or sexual. I'd say it's even worse between the the men of LO ironically because Rachel's writing is so toxically masculine, all the men the story can't have a close relationship unless they're related--and the majority of main male characters ARE. Now, yes, Greek myth, incest stopped no one but in LO, it does. Hades, Zeus, and Posideon are full-blooded brothers. Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, and Dionysus are all brothers as well. Thanatos is Hades' abused adopted son (and now so is Dio). Hermes is related to no one but it's heavily hinted at that he might be Zeus' son. Eros is the child of Ares, the step son of Hephaetus, and the grandson of Zeus. These men are related and they all have mostly negative relationships with each other, either over personal disagreements or something related to the potential love of a woman (Persephone usually). Even if they did have a positive interaction, LO's narrative will not allow for it to have any queer connotations because each of them are so focused on a heterosexual relationship with a woman that there's nothing there between anyone else. Men in LO don't see each other as fellow men, they see each other as enemies or mild annoyances.
Even Eros, who is canonically bisexual (at least if we go by the Canvas Days), could only exist as a gay best friend stereotype or a heterosexual man in an angsty relationship with Psyche. And I'm aware that this is contradictory and falls into 'you aren't allowed to be bi, you can only be gay or straight', but this is not me. This the story, the narrative, putting Eros' sexuality in a box. Eros' bisexuality is a non-factor in the story. He is either queer for Persephone's sake or heterosexual for Pysche. I can stress this enough.
Even Supernatural, a show that leaned into its heterosexual masculinity so hard that it sling shot back into being a gay love story and its creators treated this fact with either extreme contempt or as a way to grab high viewership, has better queer rep than LO and its' all because of how it treats its relationships.
Just like Eros' sexuality, Hestia and Athena's queerness is a non-factor. It did not exist until it had to for the sake of making the TGOEM into a hypocritical institution. Before this insistence, their actual relationship or individual queerness was not spoken of at all. Athena is clearly coded as butch but there's nothing to it besides a design. Neither of them show an attraction to each other or any other woman and why would they? What does their queerness matter to Persephone and Hades, who are coded as heterosexual and representative of the most strict gender roles possible within the story? They serve as backdrop, window dressing for the story, where everyone who sees them will have their eyes glaze over until the real main characters come back to move things alone with their "true love". And when their queerness comes out? Doesn't matter. It's, in fact, a problem because it shows they lied about their vows of chastities meant nothing. Rachel used her most obvious queer relationship to depict them as LIARS.
And there's Morpheus, a trans woman, whose transness is at best a unspoken up fact and at worse a transphobic caricature. Other people have summed up the many problems with Morpheus' depiction, especially early on, but I do just want to add that just like every other queer example in the story, Morpheus' gender is window dressing. Her actual queerness, her identity, her personality really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of...well anything. Not her development, not her story, not her existences, and certainly not the concern of any character. She's there to be a a prop for Hades and Persephone--a thing to point at and say LOOK, THERE'S A QUEER CHARACTER RIGHT THERE!! She is!! It's not all heterosexuality sex!! WE HAVE A QUEER!!!!!
Which is more insulting than if there had been nothing, right? I almost prefer it. At least than I wouldn't feel like queerness was just a big nothing burger in a story based on Greek Myth.
And on top of everything else, it doesn't even allow for much subtext to be read into by the fans. Oh, we try. I respect how much WE TRY. But everything queer in fan content is just us grabbing at the smallest straws and making a sad home out of it. Even with things like Persephone saying Minthe is gorgeous (a tiny thing that in any other story with have been ripe for some insane wlw content) feel hollow because it doesn't do anything but to compare the two women. Sasuke and Naruto had more to work with in their rivalry than Minthe and Persephone and who knows, it maybe because their relationship wasn’y ROOTED IN WHOSE BETTER FOR A WOMAN.
The more I think about this is the more angry I get but the fact is that if Rachel tomorrow came out and revealed that the majority of LO's cast was straight, I would not even bat an eye because yeah? Obviously. If she said they were all bisexual, I'd probably laugh because where? Prove it. SHOW ME ANY INSISTENCE OF BISEXUALITY IN THIS COMIC I DARE YOU.
All LO is nothing but its heterosexuality. Any other attempt at queerness is just a stick figure with a arrowed point at it that says 'gay'.
