I live in North Carolina in the US. I’m F(23) for reference. Until recently I had only been out of the country to like the Caribbean and Canada where my grandma lives. I just went on a 2 week vacation with my family. We went to Iceland, Paris, and London. Iceland and London were probably my favorite places.
I just got back 3 days ago and I’m not sure if there is a word for feeling homesick for a place I’ve never lived. I feel like I got my heart broken and I feel homesick. I desperately want to go back to all 3 places and just live there. Walking everywhere, exploring, experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, learning about a life outside of mine: it was blissful. I feel almost miserable being back home, I feel as if I’m not really home. Even though I’ve lived in NC basically my whole life and everyone and everything I know is here. I just feel after that 2 week trip, I’m not meant to be here. I feel like I’m meant to be somewhere else, like Europe or at least a beautiful state like Oregon. It’s a weird feeling to me, feeling heartbroken over leaving a place I’ve never lived. Now I’m conflicted about what I’m meant to do and where I’m meant to be.
Anyone else feel like this ever?

I went into a raid with 4 other mates on Customs, I was AFK when we loaded in taking a dump and they all ran off. They engaged a solo Giga Chad and all got annihilated, I finally came back and they were pissed they lost the 4v1 so I called them all back in, they took about 5 minutes to sort out kits and for the map to load and spawn back in. By the time they loaded in I’d died to the solo Giga Chad, one of them ran off and called me back in then they all went off to fight the Giga Chad again, rinse and repeat, they died, I loaded back in and called them in yet again, they finally loaded in with 40 seconds to go on the raid timer and we all ended up MIA, each losing at least 3 Kits worth of gear.

Hi! I've been a One Piece fan for over a decade, and I love the conversations regarding the Earth in this story potentially not being correctly orientated. This obviously isn't a complete theory that has originated from many before me, but I can provide some scientific rationale for the conversation that may help.
Throughout the One Piece story, there's been a lot of evidence to suggest that the One Piece world has been rotated 90 degrees so that the magnetic north doesn't align with the true north (ex. Jaya birds, map orientations, whale migratory patterns, etc.). Lots of evidence for that has been laid out before, so I'm not going to get into all of that here. But I DID want to talk about what would happen if the Earth rotated back 90 degrees, making the Grand Line run North to South and the Red Line along the equator.
Our own Earth isn't perfectly spherical- the rotation of the Earth causes a centrifugal force, causing the planet to bulge out along the equator where the rotation is the fastest (called the equatorial bulge). As a result, along the equator, the relative sea level is higher in this area. If the One Piece planet has been rotated 90 degrees, that would mean that the sea is artificially higher along the Grand Line (where the are now a bunch of small islands where people live) compared to the rest of the 'true ocean', and is potentially covering space in the Grand Line that was once an exposed continent that people lived on. This would explain both why there are ruins of towns on the sea floor, and why the Grand Line ocean area is so turbulent.
If the Earth had been rotated, the entire ocean circulation would have been suddenly disrupted, and the water passing over this newly-covered Grand Line would be a lot shallower than the real ocean depths around it, denoted by the Calm Belt edge. This water would be very turbulent, and explain some of the extremely rough seas in the Grand Line. The best analogy to this is water circulation patterns formed by white waters (and used in white water rafting). The water then running into this comparatively higher piece of continental crust along its sides wouldn't have anywhere to go, and not generate currents or even potentially large wind patterns (think of Backwaters in rivers).
The sudden rotation of the planet would also explain the variations in weather patterns and magnetic fields of the different exposed islands along the Grand Line. After being rotated so suddenly, their magnetic fields would be completely out of sync with the planet, as well as with the larger thermohaline circulation patterns (deep ocean currents that are huge drivers for temperature and salt circulation patterns). With the disruption of these currents, continental areas (now islands) that may have once received colder, deeper circulation waters are now getting warmer ones, and vice versa. Combined with magnetic anomalies, this could be the cause of the crazy weather patterns seen on many of the islands visited, and why the special Log Pose compasses are needed for navigation.
If the Earth was rotated back 90 degrees, this would have huge implications for reconnecting the world and the four Blues. To start, the theorized connecting continent along the Grand Line would be exposed as the equatorial bulge was relocated, and the many islands along it would be reconnected together. There also wouldn't be the deadly and harsh waters of the Grand Line and the Calm Belts separating people, allowing them to come together (one step closer to the 'All Blue' goal). This would also allow many of the Straw Hat crew to fulfill their own dreams.
At the same time, this theory alone doesn't explain why the Red Line exists. However, just by looking at it, it's clear that the Red Line is not natural to the world around it and has been raised from the ocean floor (cliff-like edges, lack of natural life, etc.). This act alone would have caused a huge displacement of water and tsunamis, and ultimately may have been the cause of a prior flood, or the first 'cleansing'. However, the Red Line's existence may make better sense in the broader picture of the world nobles and Gorosei.
This also all then begs the natural questions of why, how, and by whom.
I think the 'whom' side of this is the easiest to speculate on and kind of answers the other two questions. Imu. All of the other Gorosei are shown to be other planetary Gods that have immense power yet have chosen to make Imu their ruler. None of them seen like they would want to give up such a ruling power that they could control themselves so easily UNLESS Imu already had the same planetary power, but for Earth. If Imu had such a powerful Earth-controlling power, he most likely was the individual responsible for either raising the Red Line or rotating the Earth 90 degrees.
The Red-Line-raising and the Earth-rotating actions could be theorized in either order, with Oda potentially rationalizing it either way. The raising of the Red Line to encompass the Tree of Eve, blocking sunlight and thus hope to the now disconnected masses could have caused enough turmoil to rotate the Earth, but an easier explanation is the opposite order of events. Imu could have rotated the Earth 90 degrees to flood the major Grand Line continent and kill the masses in a first-strike flood, then followed by the raising of the Red Line. This would have enclosed the Tree of Eve, given his loyal "Celestials" a place to live, given the Gorosei a place to live away from prying eyes, and broken up the ocean into four distinct Blues. This tactical move would have separated the people and made them easier to control (for what is power if you have no one to rule over). However unclear, it is easily concluded that the Red Line needs to be destroyed to free the Tree of Eve and connect the people of the world.
By rotating back the Earth 90 degrees and destroying the Red Line (post-Imu defeat), Luffy could fulfill many of his own dreams and those of his crew.
However, most importantly, this theory could potentially be rationalized by Oda to a broad audience in a limited number of panels, which would go something as follows: 1) Imu is the Earth God, and can control the tectonics of the planet. 2) During the time of Joyboy, Joyboy or someone affiliated got too close to finding out the truth of the Gorosei so a great world cleansing was initiated. 3) To prevent this from happening again, Imu rotated the Earth and raised the Red Line, separating the people and killing many more. 4) Raising the Red Line gave the Gorosei somewhere to live away from the people, which they also extended to the Celestials. 5) The Celestials were just people or a kingdom that sided with the Gorosei during this fight and were thus granted a place to live in the "Holy Land of Mariejoa". 6) To reconnect the people, Imu/some power must be forced to reorient the Earth. 7) The Red Line must be destroyed.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter, and see what people think (either in favor-of or against)!

Hi friends. It’s taken me a while to even want to sit down and write this post. I guess I just want to get other people’s take on the things I’ve experienced in my life. I keep asking myself: am I an experiencer? Are my memories accurate? What does it all mean?
Within the past couple years, I’ve become fascinated with the UFO phenomenon, devouring everything I can about it. Hearing so many stories about anomalous experiences has made me start recalling some of my own. Experiences that I didn’t necessarily forget, I just kind of put them in the back of my head because I had no idea what to do with them. I was brought up agnostic at best. I was always “open” but my first reaction has always been to immediately find a prosaic explanation. Now that I’ve been listening to others’ experiences, I’ve been taking a closer look at some of my own.
I’ve had six or so “anomalous” experiences that I can recall. I guess I’ll start with the three incidents that remain in my memory the strongest. These aren’t necessarily “UFO” encounters though.
When I was 17 or 18, my friend and I were playing with a ouiga board (I know, I know) and we began “talking” with an entity. I definitely was not moving the curser, and I truly don’t think she was either. She was just as shocked as I was. As the conversation progressed, the curser began moving faster and faster. At one point I asked a question along these lines “you seem to be getting stronger, can you use all your energy to move the curser as fast as you can?” With that, it shot out from under our fingers, OFF of the board. We both just kind of looked at each other astonished. I remember my friend pointing to her arm and her arm hair was standing straight up. We were so freaked out we put the ouiga board away and went back to normal life.
(I just saw this same friend and asked her if she remembered it and she replied something along the lines of “OHHH YES”. As if it made a lasting impression.)
When I was 20 and first dating my now-husband, he was staying in a camper one summer on his family’s land. I would go there at night and hang out with him (I was IN LOVE). As far as I remember we weren’t impaired. At the very most we had had a couple twisted teas, but I don’t remember feeling drunk, or even tipsy. Just drunk on love.
I kept seeing a “flash” in the form of a ball (or orb?) in the woods. I thought it was just my eyes being weird until it happened RIGHT next to his head. My husband ducked-and-swerved and said something along the lines of “WTF WAS THAT?” That’s when I knew I wasn’t imagining things. This “light” wasn’t coming from any source. It wasn’t beaming from anywhere, we were in the woods of Maine with no houses in direct view. It was a random “flash” of light that seemed to be its own entity. We saw it several More times throughout the night, including in the woods again. We decided to go in the camper not long after because we were freaked out. After that, we saw it “flash” again in the door window and in the skylight as if it was trying to get our attention. To this day, we still talk about it but have no idea what it was.
Okay, last one I’ll talk about in this post.
When I was 22 and finishing up my Bachelor’s degree, I would sometimes stay at my mom’s because she lived closer to my college. One day I showed up at her house after classes with the intention of spending the night. I walked in, brought my stuff up to my room, and went back downstairs. I was completely alone except for my mom’s two cats, one of which I saw sleeping on the bed upstairs. The other cat was downstairs in the living room. This cat was staring off into a part of the room so intensely, and even though I wasn’t super into paranormal stuff then, I remember thinking: “it’s like she can see ghosts”.
Not long after, Poki (the spooky cat) nonchalantly jumped up on top of the fridge (using the counter first). I remember seeing her just chilling up there, loaf-style, when I turned my back and looked out the window in the opposite direction. The following events happened extremely fast and I’ll try my best to do a play-by-play. First, I heard a loud CRASH behind me, and in a split second I turned toward the kitchen. First, I saw Poki casually stretching on top of the fridge, and then slowly jump down onto the counter, and then the floor. I remember this DISTINCTLY. Her casualness, and the fact that she jumped down AFTER the crash.
I looked at the counter, and several dishes had crashed onto the floor, including a coffee mug, which shattered. I looked to the sink, which was to the right of where the coffee mug was (and relatively large), and the dish soap, scrub brush, and other odds and ends were laying in the sink. These items were all at varying degrees of depth on the counter top, within a two-foot span. It was as if someone took their arm and swiped the items off the counter top.
I was confused and terrified (and somehow felt it was my fault, which I still don’t understand) and quickly cleaned up what I could, gathered my things, and left. I didn’t care if I had to drive over an hour to get to school the next day. On the way home I told myself it was Poki, because it was the only possible prosaic explanation. But I knew logically it wasn’t her. She was chilling on top of the fridge seconds before. Then I saw her casually jump down AFTER the crash, as if she has been disturbed from her sleep. Not to mention, she couldn’t have swiped ALL those items off the counter in one swoop.
Anyways. I’m so sorry this is so long. It feels nice to get these experiences out there. I welcome any and all perspectives - especially from others who’ve had similar experiences!

Not long after, Poki (the spooky cat) nonchalantly jumped up on top of the fridge (using the counter first). I remember seeing her just chilling up there, loaf-style, when I turned my back and looked out the window in the opposite direction. The following events happened extremely fast and I’ll try my best to do a play-by-play. First, I heard a loud CRASH behind me, and in a split second I turned toward the kitchen. First, I saw Poki casually stretching on top of the fridge, and then slowly jump down onto the counter, and then the floor. I remember this DISTINCTLY. Her casualness, and the fact that she jumped down AFTER the crash.
I looked at the counter, and several dishes had crashed onto the floor, including a coffee mug, which shattered. I looked to the sink, which was to the right of where the coffee mug was (and relatively large), and the dish soap, scrub brush, and other odds and ends were laying in the sink. These items were all at varying degrees of depth on the counter top, within a two-foot span. It was as if someone took their arm and swiped the items off the counter top.
I was confused and terrified (and somehow felt it was my fault, which I still don’t understand) and quickly cleaned up what I could, gathered my things, and left. I didn’t care if I had to drive over an hour to get to school the next day. On the way home I told myself it was Poki, because it was the only possible prosaic explanation. But I knew logically it wasn’t her. She was chilling on top of the fridge seconds before. Then I saw her casually jump down AFTER the crash, as if she has been disturbed from her sleep. Not to mention, she couldn’t have swiped ALL those items off the counter in one swoop.

Hi friends. It’s taken me a while to even want to sit down and write this post. I guess I just want to get other people’s take on the things I’ve experienced in my life. I keep asking myself: am I an experiencer? Are my memories accurate? What does it all mean?
Within the past couple years, I’ve become fascinated with the UFO phenomenon, devouring everything I can about it. Hearing so many stories about anomalous experiences has made me start recalling some of my own. Experiences that I didn’t necessarily forget, I just kind of put them in the back of my head because I had no idea what to do with them. I was brought up agnostic at best. I was always “open” but my first reaction has always been to immediately find a prosaic explanation. Now that I’ve been listening to others’ experiences, I’ve been taking a closer look at some of my own.
I’ve had six or so “anomalous” experiences that I can recall. I guess I’ll start with the three incidents that remain in my memory the strongest.

I looked at the counter, and several dishes had crashed onto the floor, including a coffee mug, which shattered. I looked to the sink, which was to the right of where the coffee mug was (and relatively large), and the dish soap, scrub brush, and other odds and ends were laying in the sink. These items were all at varying degrees of depth on the counter top, within a two-foot span. It was as if someone took their arm and swiped the items off the counter top.
I was confused and terrified (and somehow felt it was my fault, which I still don’t understand) and quickly cleaned up what I could, gathered my things, and left. - When I was 17 or 18, my friend and I were playing with a ouiga board (I know, I know) and we began “talking” with an entity. I definitely was not moving the curser, and I truly don’t think she was either. She was just as shocked as I was. As the conversation progressed, the curser began moving faster and faster. At one point I asked a question along these lines “you seem to be getting stronger, can you use all your energy to move the curser as fast as you can?” With that, it shot out from under our fingers, OFF of the board. We both just kind of looked at each other astonished. I remember my friend pointing to her arm and her arm hair was standing straight up. We were so freaked out we put the ouiga board away and went back to normal life.
- When I was 20 and first dating my now-husband, he was staying in a camper one summer on his family’s land. I would go there at night and hang out with him (I was IN LOVE). As far as I remember we weren’t impaired. At the very most we had had a couple twisted teas, but I don’t remember feeling drunk, or even tipsy. Just drunk on love.

Hey all (using a throwaway)- reaching out to see if anyone can help with this. Like clockwork every spring some older woman (not a neighbor afaik) takes cuttings of the flowers and digs up bulbs in front of our house in the grassy patch near the street.
It was funny at first because she would drive by almost daily to “case” our house lol but wouldn’t stop if she saw us outside. Our neighbors also confirmed they see her dig bulbs and take cuttings.
Up until this year we haven’t landscaped the front, but we’re starting to do so now and we don’t want her to feel like she can keep helping herself with cuttings or digging up bulbs.
I guess my question is, does anyone know if our property line extends to the street or is it further back? I checked the parcel viewer map and I don’t know how accurate it is because it looks like the line is 20ft back off the street.
I don’t want to be a dick to her, but I would like her to stop. I just don’t know if I can even ask her to stop if our property line doesn’t extend to the street.
Any advice appreciated!

As they slowly took off their tartan shackles, they placed yellow tape over the broken pieces. ________________________________________________ Level of Concern ARGThe level of concern ARG was a long, arduous, and extremely complicated online scavenger hunt that was put on by the band in July of 2020. It was designed to last over a week, but we figured it out in 12 hours. It started with a cryptic livestream on youtube that just showed a room of analog tvs that would play a distorted clip of Level of Concern on repeat, occasionally interjected by jarring audio bits. On the tv screens, various gifs and images would cycle through and occasionally a complex code would show up on screen, leading to various webpages and puzzles. There were a total of 20 codes that needed to be entered on usb.twentyonepilots.com. Once code 20 was entered, the first 500 people needed to enter their address, and they received a USB drive in the mail. This usb contained various cryptic files, demos, and goofy images from early in the Vessel era, including a video from Tyler thanking the fans for playing the game and figuring out the codes. Behind him, an analog tv flashes the phrase “Clancy is dead” in code, as can be seen hereClancy Is Dead (FULL WITH AUDIO) You can watch the recap of how the codes were found for yourself here. ________________________________________________ Christmas Saves the YearWatch "Christmas Saves the Year" hereOn the cover of "Christmas saves the Year", there is a tiny present behind Josh that has the nametag "Clancy" and it says "Sai is Propaganda" alluding to their upcoming album "Scaled and Icy" ________________________________________________ The Live Experience Control RoomAfter dmaorg.info was terminated, the site was hiding a few images teasing the new era.70's style Scaled and Icy promo posters After the release of “Shy Away”, live.twentyonepilots.com was made available to the public, and we were introduced to our icy yellow-eyed friend, Trash the Dragon. The site led to a control room where you could explore dozens of easter eggs, purchase merchandise, and wait for incoming song premieres leading up to the release of their 6th album “Scaled and Icy” - which happens to be an anagram for “clancy is dead”. It was also here that Dema held their first ever live performance, an event designed to entertain(indoctrinate) the citizens of Dema, and Clancy was the star. However, he was repeatedly referred to as Tyler during the show. ________________________________________________ Choker Music VideoWatch "Choker" hereThe Choker music video was a very interesting, seemingly light hearted and silly addition to this saga. It started off in a similar manner to the “Chlorine” music video (which is explained further down). This time, it’s set in a normal area of Columbus, Ohio, and filled with various alleyways (which we could later explore in the Roblox live event…i wont get into that here). Tyler, wearing an orange beanie, walked nervously into a toy store and was met with its employees Josh and Jim (josh’s dog). He got to the counter, and really wanted the blue dragon in the case, but Josh just started drumming. Tyler tried to get his attention, but Josh was locked in and slamming away. Tyler, now frustrated, turned back and explored the shop a little more and was startled by a sudden blue flash. Something to note, when he turned around the first time, Josh was in the same position he was in when Tyler walked in and the drums were nowhere to be found. He turned back around and went back to the counter, and Jim had turned into a little toy with a blue bandana. Josh tenderly picked up the little dragon from before and set it on the counter in front of Tyler. He heavily pondered it for a moment, before deciding to yoink it right in front of Josh and dip. Tyler didn’t realize shoplifting was against the rules. Josh chased him down with a massive gun. He caught up with Tyler and shot a giant net at him, knocking him over and encapsulating him, and Josh dragged him back to the shop. Once they reached the front, Josh opened his mouth and just absolutely smited Tyler, turning him into a bobblehead on the shelf next to Jim and the nearly liberated Trash toy. ________________________________________________ The Livestream ExperienceThe show started off as a 70’s style morning show called “Good Day Dema” with its eccentric hosts Dan Lisden and Sally Sacarver. It opened with Tyler (Clancy) sitting on the couch in between the two bishops looking positively miserable, and the bishops scornfully mocking him and insulting Josh.Dan Lisden (left), Tyler (middle), Sally Sacarver (right) Then they transitioned into Choker, a single from Scaled and Icy. The show was a concert filled with various mashups and interesting cutoffs, always being stopped or changed during a song or lyrics about rebellion or personal power. Occasionally, the bishop hosts would come back in little infomercial segments to promote Scaled and Icy, though curiously looking more and more beat up and…for lack of better phrasing they were decaying. The bishops had seized these two people and were living vicariously through their bodies while they slowly rotted during the performance to give off the impression of manufactured joy. Dan Lisden with blooddrippuing down his shirt during the 2nd informercial break, then actively decaying during the last break Sally Sacarver looking a little worse for wear (no pun intended)-second infomercial break, then actively cementing herself into my nightmares- Last infomercial break In the middle of the performance, just before “Lane Boy”, the bishops came on screen with half of their faces painted black reciting the “Stay Low” poem. The last verse of “Redecorate” was put into the end of “Lane Boy”, and was cut off by “Chlorine”. After a solemn moment during Heathens/Trees, Josh returned as the Torchbearer and they performed some songs off of Trench, burning car on stage included. After this segment concluded with heavydirtysoul, the bishops came back for their final infomercial dripping blood and threatening the audience, and then played it off like nothing happened. The performance carried on, eventually getting to Car Radio where alarms started to blare, and chaos erupted in the studio. “Never Take It” was last on the setlist, performed in a street filled with burning cars and running people. After the song ended, Tyler slowly and begrudgingly trudged back to the first set with the bishops-who were somehow looking completely normal, and finished the end of Choker, and then everyone stood up and clapped. ________________________________________________ Saturday Music VideoWatch "Saturday" hereOn 7/8/21, the next Annual Assemblage of the Glorified was set to take place. Because of the smashing success of the livestream, the bishops decided to hold a party on a submarine and have Clancy and Josh be the main performers. They sent bishop imposters (bishposters?) to control the ship and make sure everything was going smoothly. Everything did not go smoothly. A massive dragon (trash) attacked the ship, nearly drowning everyone, but 21 people are shown to have survived overall (the other 19 pilots?) _________________________________________________ The Outside Music Video/WeaponWatch "The Outside" hereOn 3/18/22, the Outside music video was uploaded after a few days of updates on dmaorg. It began with a visual of Trash, the 9 bishops, and Keons in the center holding a pair of antlers, having been caught controlling Trash and betraying the other Bishops. Then they just start stabbing. Julius Caesar style. not a fun way to go, i won’t lie. The yellow glow in Keons’ eyes dimmed, and so too did the life in Trash as he sank to the ocean floor. Clancy (Tyler??) washed up on the frozen island of Voldsøy, covered in snow. Josh/The Torchbearer came up and picked Clancy up by his collar and they walked off, eventually finding a break in the foliage. They discovered a cliff face with a cave opening, and a little guy welcoming them in. it’s Ned!! They walked through the narrow cave passages, spitting some fire bars on the way, eventually arriving at a rotation you couldn’t have dreamed up better. A bunch of Neds, all hanging out by the fire. The Ned that welcomed them in started to leave through a side cave, but Clancy and the Torchbearer followed. They met Ned on the beach, who broke his antlers to give to Clancy. He posted a schematic for a ritual to harness the power of psychokinesis. w-eap-ø-n The bottom reads: seize available vessel at Voldsoy eastern cove intercept bishops. _____________________________ glorious gone = available vessel ________________________________ bishops control the available vessel! intercept and seize _________________________________ they will make you a weapon _________________________________The top letters unscramble to say “seize keons” The Neds began performing the motions, and Clancy followed- somehow taking control of Keons’ body. He was an available vessel after all! After emoting in front of the bishops, he destroyed one of the towering lights in front of him. Keons’ body fell to the ground, and Clancy regained control of his own body. He later wrote about the experience in the most recent letter update on dmaorg. After Clancy regained control of his body, he’s seen with the Torchbearer waiting for a signal. On the other side of the Strait, dozens of banditos return the signal, cutting to a blue flaming city behind them On 3/18/2022 Clancy uploaded the most recent **digital*\* letter to the site What is this thing? This device? This gift? Some sort of neurological connection or expansion. Psychokinetic weapon? This is absurd. Why was this given to me? Why am I the only one that can wield it? Was this the reason that I survived? My mind is racing as I wait here on the rocks -- staring off into the darkness. Waiting for our torches to be mirrored - the signal he told me to wait for. It feels oddly familiar. Not the spikes in my hand, but the power it harnesses, I've felt it before. Is this also the source of those rumors I heard in the dark corners of the city? Legends and stories that I assumed were myth, inspired by children's nightmares -- tales of what the bishops would use the bodies for. Those "honorable" citizens who acheived The Glorious Gone -- referred to as available vessels. It all begins to make sense. The episodes I would have: the blood red vision, my dreams of flying, the out of body account of the rider in the river, the decaying hosts of the television show, the robed figures that commanded the doomed ship... Had we all been "seized" by the bishops using this same technique? Is this where their power comes from? Are they immortal, or just feeding off the next body, giving their hosts a brief second-life? I am in my original life, why am I available to this control? This whole time I thought I was battling my inner self. Was I actually under assault for something else? someONE else? This small eerie island has made me a weapon. We both believe that we can use it to change the momentum of this war. Now, we must return to the mainland where they should be there to recieve is. We will destroy and rebuild. Though it's been years since he last spoke with them, I hope they have not lost faith in The Torchbearers plan. The best running theory is that the red tape signifies bishop control. He LOVES penguins so I thought letting him feed and swim with penguins would be amazing. I would like to make a whole trip of it so about 3 to 4 days but I'm a little nervous that it's not going to be a bunch of fun things to do there. Were both 22 years old and he does like museums but I was hoping for more activity options. Does anyone have any suggestions on if Kansas is worth visiting or ideas on what else to do?

I’ve been a manager for quick service restaurants for about six years now, and it has made me so, so jaded and angry.
When I was a kid I dreamed of a job that would help people around me. I wanted to be an ER nurse, or a paramedic, or maybe a teacher—something that I could do that would make the world better, that would allow me to interact with the public and help them. Not anymore.
I hate the general public. I’ve dealt with so many angry, ignorant, and downright violent people over the years that I have no faith left in the people around me. Why would I want to enter a nursing field when I’m already being screamed at by ten people a day because their food wasn’t perfectly crafted by the hands of God himself? I can’t imagine how much worse it is when people have their actual health on the line, or their child’s education.
People are angry, they’re ignorant, choosy, picky, nosy, arrogant—they see service workers as the lowest class, the lowest rung of society, but demand that we perform 24/7 for them. “I know I just spent the last five minutes berating you, but you really should smile more, y’know?” I don’t want to smile when I’m interacting with you because I don’t like you. I don’t like my customers because I’m so guarded, I’m so tired and worn down by them.
Their ignorance is my problem. Their card isn’t working? My fault. They forgot to tell me something they wanted? My fault. They needed a bag but didn’t ask for one? My fault. They wanted no ice, but didn’t say anything? My fault.
They’re so miserable and upset with their own lives that they have to find someone to let it out at, and it will always be the service worker. Johnny and Kim are fighting at home, so they’re going to come to the mall and scream at my 16 year old employee for not getting their food to them fast enough. Little Timmy is acting out at home so moms gonna bring him to the mall, and when Little Timmy is still acting out at the mall moms gonna take her frustrations out on me by screaming at me because her online pickup order is two minutes late. Henry doesn’t get enough attention from his family, so he’s gonna come to the mall and pick an argument with my cashier because my cashier won’t give him something for free. Granny’s frustrated with the state of the world and the fact that she isn’t dead yet, so she’s gonna come and complain to me for fifteen minutes about how annoying it is that we don’t take checks.
I’m so, so tired. I want a job where I don’t interact with anyone.
I can’t force myself to put on the customer service persona anymore. I’m straightforward because I just want them to go away. I don’t engage in conversation with the ones who are actually kind because I’m so beaten down by everyone else that it just doesn’t happen, I don’t have the energy anymore.

I’ve used several sources over a decade plus, and my maternal ancestry just doesn’t line up with what I’d expect on my maternal side. I’m confident it’s not NPEs (especially by mothers); I think, but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this, that my family has essentially been bred out of existence for purposes of DNA ancestry. I’m a woman, only child; my mother was an only child; her mother was an only child; HER mother was an only child after her four brothers all died in infancy; so I have to back to GG grandmother to find ANY surviving siblings (only one sister, and that line has all but died out as well). Any blood relatives my grandmother and great grandmother knew or knew of in Europe vanished during WWII, so there’s no gene pool to compare to there, either. (And yes me, Mom, grandma, great grandma all look alike).
I have a zillion very distant relatives in 23andMe, none closer than 4th cousin on my maternal line. My reported maternal ancestry has been all over the map as the reporting has evolved over the years. So - if for a made-up example 23andMe is saying I’m predominantly Danish but I know I should be predominantly Greek - is this any sort of known phenomenon for the few people who have become genetic silos?

So the events of Nikke are unfolding in the southwest U.S./Texas I think. back during 1st anniversary there were posts wondering where Nikke took place with posts about Legendary Commander's uniform/attire, etc etc.
I'm slow catching up in the campaign, but unless there's a reveal in Ch.28-30 about where we're located, in Ch. 27 which is Red Hood's home town, I think its safe to say the story is taking place in the U.S..,at least if we hold onto doubt, our best guess is it is the U.S.
(at the same time, there are many things in the game, like stage battle scenery that would contradict the following and I'm sure there's many more things as well. I'm gonna have some fun looking into this anyways being bored. Lastly, enjoy Nikke how you want to interpret it, this post is not here to replace YOUR imagination or preference. I'm slow catching up in the campaign, but unless there's a reveal in Ch.28-30 about where we're located, in Ch. 27 which is Red Hood's home town, I think its safe to say the story is taking place in the U.S..,at least if we hold onto doubt, our best guess is it is the U.S.
(at the same time, there are many things in the game, like stage battle scenery that would contradict the following and I'm sure there's many more things as well. I'm gonna have some fun looking into this anyways being bored. Lastly, enjoy Nikke how you want to interpret it, this post is not here to replace YOUR imagination or preference. Its just a bit of fun speculating).

Speed Limit sign mimics U.S. posted speed limit sign & in English. the buildings and the farm windmills are stereotypical.
Many countries put their telephone lines underground. The U.S. however is littered with them above ground like this telephone pole & a french fry ad for what appears to be $1 - we Americans love our fries. english lettering.

Newman's Castle - Tourist destination in Bellville, TX. Closest castle I could find resembling the place Crown & Chime call home. It has a body of water (moat) that resembles an island. The towers look like the ones in the game(not pointy like Disney lmao). This one matches the description given by Crown the most from among castle pictures I could find and vs the in game art.

Newman's Castle, 1 hr outside Houston.
The Ark might be located near the metroplex (DFW, TX) or San Antonio, TX (Houston/Austin is too close), but its anyone's guess.
Pioneer squad shared it would take 1 week by foot to deliver Marian to Crown & Chime.
That's about 20 miles a day with breaks walking (140 miles a week) & Nikkes can cover more, but they did stop and sleep. Being they are Nikkes they probably covered more ground and
- DFW, TX is about 230 miles north of Newman's Castle. (8.1 mil metro pop.)
- San Antonio is about 160 miles west of Newman's Castle. (2.7 mil metro pop.)
The Pilgrims commute by foot, so it is safe to say the locale is within the U.S.. Snow White walking among snowy mountains in the PV(installation update screen) could be the Sandia Mountains or the Rocky Mountains which also could fit, however, is much further away by foot.

Oswald operates a vehicle, driver-side being left. that rules out England & Japan among others more than likely. important thing to note, South Korea uses mostly left-side steering wheel vehicles like the U.S.
Red Hood's mixtape includes 3 country songs she likes. This sound is unmistakably American & is country music.
