2024.05.14 09:28 VolarRecords That WW2 UFO Footage is possibly narrated by David Grusch?

Not my text, resposting:

Props to for pointing this out!
And for this post.
Listen to the audio starting from :20 seconds up until :50 seconds on that clip that has been making the rounds. Grusch has a very particular inflection and pauses with “ahhh”, during that timeframe he does that about 3 times. He has a particular speech pattern that would be hard to disguise even with modulation.
Now listen to his opening statements here at the start from :10 to :35 he does the exact same type of inflections as in the distorted audio! Listen to them back to back, once you recognize the vocal patterns in his voice, the modulation does not hide that it is him. Why/how would RegicideAnon have a video that Grusch narrated???
Edit: this is the WW2 Archive Footage I am referring to
Edit2: pointed out his T’s also sound the same. In the opening statements at 1:08 you can hear how he ends “Current” and it ends very similarly to how he ends “It” and “Compensate” at :35 in the archived footage.
Edit3: Do Up/Downvotes affect post visibility? I only ask since from when I posted this almost an hour ago it has sat at 0, which is kinda strange that it’s being downvoted so heavily?
EDIT4: Okay so this one is a little weird, and very tinfoil-y I admit, but I feel I should point this out: Here is David Grusch’s resume
Note that during the timeframe this video was released, and around the time that MH370 occurred, David was:
July 2014 – December 2016, Adjunct Professor, School of Security and Global Studies, American Public University System (APUS)
• Undergraduate school professor developing technical coursework and program plans. Expertly instructed courses in the Intelligence Studies track, to include open source/social media analysis, signals and imagery analysis, and research methods.
December 2013 – March 2016, Chief, Intelligence Integration Division, Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), Reston, VA (USAF Active Duty)
• Lead military intelligence officer for the SSDP Director, a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) advising the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DEPSECDEF), Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence (PDDNI), and National Security Council (NSC). Coordinated sensitive Multi-INT collection activities and modeling/simulation to support national space security objectives and advanced NSG programs. SSDP intelligence lead for the standup of the National Space Defense Center (NSDC).
It’s possible that during his time at the university he was analyzing and restoring WW2 archival footage? In order to verify this we’d have to find someone that knew him around that time frame to confirm or deny that he spoke of this previously.
The second thing that stood out to me was “Coordinated sensitive Multi-INT collection activities and modeling/simulation to support national space security objectives and advanced NSG programs.” I know with the recent MH370 video going around people are saying that if it WAS a hoax it would need to be created with someone with military access and very very expensive and sophisticated equipment. Possible the same equipment used to model and simulate space security objectives and NSG programs? Maybe this was a recreation of an event that the government didn’t see but was told was a possibility?
Edit5: I know many are asking how we know the voiceover wasn’t added recently, unfortunately the link to the video on RegicideAnon’s page on web archive doesn’t work, however another link to the same video was found that was posted to Facebook on September of 2015, that includes the voiceover:
https://www.facebook.com/ufovni/videos/ww2-archive-footage-of-flying-sauce510648672443495/
Thanks to for translating the description on the video:
“The following video was confiscated from the Kodiak Historical Military Museum on September 7th 1993 (the voiceover in the video actually said November 7th 1993). Originally a collection of gradings were donated with no date record or source of recording. In the video a UFO can be seen flying low on an island, alongside the planes as it approaches the runway. The location and date of filming are unknown.”
Interestingly the info about the museum and the collections is not mentioned in the clip at all, suggesting this is either a clip of a longer video or that the poster “Paranormal” somehow got more info with the clip.
Final Edit: I know that some people are in the process of actually examining the audio with professional programs so hopefully soon we’ll have concrete evidence if the voices match, however I want to leave you all and anyone else that stumbles upon the thread with this last bit; check out the following two sections and judge for yourself if this “but” sound exactly the same.

2024.05.14 07:55 NovaCynical Did I just get lucky and what am I in for? (New IT Technician Job)

So I'll start off by saying I have made consistently poor decisions the entire time I have been in college. I started off in IT, then switched to Computer Science, and finally (after wasting 3 semesters at this point) landed on Game Programming as my college major...big mistake, but it was a dream job and still is, but its a very unrealistic dream. I've only more recently become interested in finding an IT job and after a year of applying to hundreds of jobs, only getting 7 interviews, and only once (last week) being offered a job, I happily accepted the position, without negotiating pay, just because I was shocked to even get offered the position so quickly. The job title is "IT Technician", but during the interview, I was told that the position covers on-site installations/repairs/replacements for security and POS systems, as well as a 24/7 help desk, and on top of that, they program all of the software used in the POS systems that they install. Lastly, they also maintain all servers and networks for their clients...
So, I will say again that my college major is game programming and I have never once had a class that covered anything outside of video games. Any programming language I learned, I only learned the basics of it before being thrown into the next language. So I would not say I am confident in my programming abilities if they think I am able to program on day 1 or even month 1. I have 4 years of customer service experience so that is the only thing I would say I'd be good at without a lot of training. But considering that I still have a year of college left to get my Bachelor's, no certifications, no past IT experience, and no portfolio, I honestly have no idea how I got offered this job when there were over 100 other applicants on Indeed (according to Indeed).
I'm just so confused as to how I got this job, what they were even looking for in their candidates, what skills they think I have, and more importantly, what I'm in for. I will also add that the interviewer said that there would be a second "technical" interview if they decided to continue with me, which I never had because they just offered me the job 4 days later. Its a salary position (45k) that is significantly more than what I make working in retail(14$/hr), but looking online for salary information, I see people making anywhere from 30-55k just to be a help desk technician. Assuming the guy that interviewed me was being dead serious, I would be working with hardware, software, help desk, and even networking? That seems like 4 job positions combined into a low-ball salary.
I am not complaining, I feel very blessed with this opportunity and I will put in 100% and then some, but my question is...did I just get lucky being picked? Is 45k reasonable for all of that, assuming I am actually going to be involved with all of it? If not, is it at least worth the experience I'll have on my resume later? Should I expect to work 8-5 five days a week like the job description states, or should I expect to be working 50+ hours a week just because I'm salary? I am willing to accept lower pay, mainly because I understand that I have 0 experience, no degree, not certs, and the fact that I would (hopefully) be learning a lot. However, I don't want the be completely taken advantage of, so what do you guys think?
Sorry for the length by the way, but thank you to those who took the time to read, and thanks again for any responses I may get.

2024.05.14 03:05 sour___apple Has anyone else been forced to take this test for a job interview

Has anyone else been forced to take this test for a job interview
Description of the test:
“The Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment requires choosing words that describe you out of two identical checklists containing 86 adjectives.
In the first list, you are instructed to choose adjectives that you believe describe the way you are expected to behave by others.
In the second list, you are asked to choose adjectives that you believe describe you.”
Is this so they can find out if you’re autstic or not? 😅 I had no idea how to answer it and also for SURE need to mask during an interview so I let the mask take fully over 🎭

2024.05.14 01:23 MunSapMawWhiRang Chinese sa OLJ????

Hi po. I’m a VA and I also take on the task of recruiting and hiring talents for different job openings where I’m currently employed.
We’re using OnlineJobsPh to source candidates.
Kahapon may nagapply sa isang job opening namin na Product Sourcing Specialist. He’s Chinese and based sa resume nya he graduated sa Chinese univs and sa cover letter nya he said he’s from China. Ang weird kasi as far as I recall, sa Discord server lang namin at OLJ ako nagpost ng job description. Afaik OLJ is for Filipinos lang diba kasi they would require you to verify your identity using IDs that are issued in the Philippines. And chineck ko rin, they only allow Filipino citizens to use the site and register as a worker.
He confirmed that he saw the job posting sa OLJ but when I tried searching for his name and his email, walang match. Idk if napaparanoid lang ako pero alarming ba to? Lalo na sa recent issues ngayon.
Any similar cases?

2024.05.13 23:03 Ok-Concern2790 Switch careers, need help with job descriptions

Hi!
I’m currently a barista and I’ve been working as one for a few cafes over the last 6 years. My basic duties were pretty much the same at each place. Take order, be nice, make drink. Well, I’m in school for advanced manufacturing or engineering technology as my school calls it. I just started but I’ve been ready to leave food and bev for a while. I found a job listing as a machine operator that does not require experience, however I do not know what the heck I should put for my job descriptions to show that I’m a good candidate. I looked at machine operator example resumes and those descriptions are all pretty technical.
Any advice on how to translate my skills for a different industry?

2024.05.13 22:48 AdAppropriate7838 EE software and tools

I'm gonna be starting 3rd year EE and I read about a few tools that will end up being helpful next year and in general. I'll write down the tools and what I'm going to be using them for so please let me know how to learn them and potentially get a certification for them (to be able to put on my resume).
  1. WinCupl - Designing Digital PLDs I have 0 experience with it)
  2. MultiSim & UltiBoard - Designing Analog Circuits & PCBs (this line is straight from a course syllabus, to my understanding they're different tools used closely together at times but again, I have 0 experience with both)
  3. SolidWorks - Designing & Modelling Mechanical Parts & Assemblies (Again, line straight from a course syllabus, I have very very minimal, basically 0 experience).
  4. Matlab & Simulink - For a course about controls & systems. The course description is " Continuous time system analysis by Laplace transforms; system modelling by transfer function and state space methods; feedback, stability and sensitivity; control design; frequency domain analysis. ". I have basic beginner's experience with MATLAB, but nothing related to Controls & Systems.
Any help is appreciated, thank you!

2024.05.13 21:19 ahawk_one Paradrome Cube

I was reading the lore pages of older seasonal artifacts for fun, and the Seasonal Artifact from Season of the Splicer had an interesting segment that I hadn't noticed before. But before we get to that, a quick note about the word Paradrome. My google searches only came up with the Oxford English Dictionary website. It is the only one that claimed to have a definition, which is unfortunately blocked by a subscription wall.
However, if we look up the root words Para and Drom separately, we get a good image of what it means.
Para, for those that don't know, is a prefix that indicates being close to or next to something else.
Drom, is probably a little less familiar but it comes from the Greek Dromos, which is a word for avenue or walkway, or entrance, or other related concepts.
Paradromic, is an adjective that means running side by side or in paralel. The impression I get is that it would be more likely to refer to two roads or entryways, rather than two people running in parallel, but I suppose either is probably a correct usage.
So the Paradrome Cube then is going to have something to do with things operating or running in parallel. While I think there are multiple layers, an obvious one that you will see below is that when looking at this thing, Mithrax sees two visions. The artistic implication being they visions are parallel to eachother.
On to the lore! The text on the cube is as follows:
PARADROME CUBE - SEASONAL ARTIFACT FOR SEASON 14, SEASON OF THE SPLICER
A CUBE OF LIVING CODE CLAIMED FROM THE VEX DOMAIN.
Mithrax sat on a carpet in his meager quarters, held the Paradrome Cube in his hand, and concentrated.
Hours passed before Eido, concerned, sat beside him. She touched his arm.
"What do you see?" she whispered.
He saw the Endless Night split open. He saw fluid falling like white rain on the City. Massive Minotaurs rising from the shallow seas. He saw the gunfire of the Guardians in the Tower, but it did not reflect on the rippling liquid, and he dismissed the vision.
A hundred more illusions took its place, then a thousand, then a thousand lifetimes' worth:
-a shape frozen inside a crystal prison a towering figure in white recognition flooding bloodshot eyes a city of voices speaking at once shadow taking form the realization they had always been watched tears on metal-
A choice, and its consequences.
"Lies," he answered plainly.
There is a lot of symbolism here, but the thing that I wanted to bring to our attention is the phrase "a towering figure in white". Season of the Splicer is the midpoint in the year following Beyond Light. WQ hasn't released yet, so no one has even imagined the Witness as an antagonist yet, and when we first get this artifact no one will have guessed that Savathun is posing as Osiris. Yet here we have a direct foreshadowing of the Witness coming, and of the Vex's knowledge of it, as this cube came out of their general network. And crucially this is NOT the Sol Divisive. This is something he pulled out of their network that we use to splice into it later as we hunt for Vex Minds and ultimately for Queria.
For fun, here is a short list of possible literal definitions. But there may be symbolic or figurative definitions as well:
First Vision - Seems to mostly be an account of the Vex plan to assault the City with overwhelming force.
Second Vision -
A shape frozen inside a crystal prison - The most obvious option is Eramis being frozen back on Europa, but I think this is more likely a way that this cube of Vex is conceptualizing the Witness's "final shape" because...
A towering figure in white - clearly fits the description of the Witness. It is a towering figure, and it is pasty
Recognition flooding bloodshot eyes - I'm less sure of this, but I do know that Vex eyes are red, and that The Gate Lord's Eye seasonal artifact references bleeding as part of it's internal structure. So my thought here is that this is the Vex recognizing the Witness in some capacity.
A city of voices speaking at once - Witness's plurality of form. It is a multitude of beings crammed together into a single body. A multitude of voices speaking as one, with one voice.
Shadow taking form - I think this is probably referring to the Witness's plans starting to move again. Things are in motion, and the Pyramids are here, and the Witness is coming for the Traveler.
The realization they had always been watched - The Witness has been watching us, watching the Vex, watching everything. Witnessing the universe.
Tears on metal - I don't know if this is tears as in crying tears, or if this is tears as in tearing fabric. And either way, I don't know what this is referencing.
So to me, this "vision" he sees is a version of what the Vex in this cube think will happen. What is going to happen in the future. And it is a direct foreshadowing of the Witness itself as a villain, as well as it's ultimate plans for the universe. Later, during the Vow of the Disciple Raid, Guardians will discover a prophecy wall inside Rhulk's Pyramid that describes everything the Witness does in Lightfall perfectly.
Just a nice piece of continuity I noticed. Thanks for reading!

2024.05.13 20:33 howareutrue Lied about 1 thing on my resume but everything else was true.

This is technically my second but kind of my first interview. (I had a previous job but the interview wasn’t really question-based, they just asked me to follow what they did to see if I could do tasks properly, so I don’t really consider it an interview). At that previous job, I wasn’t asked about references or anything on my resume so I thought that I wouldn’t have to worry about lying about one little thing.
Anyways, I went in for an interview yesterday and it went pretty well up until the employer asked for references and I realized that he would obviously call to verify if the things on my resume were true. Everything from the job description to education level to the skills listed are all true but I lied about the duration of my previous job (by like 2 months).
On a scale of 1-10 how screwed am I?

2024.05.13 18:39 inisen Problems getting job interviews, even as a senior UX designer?

Hello fellow UX designers
I’m wondering if anyone else has had problems recently finding a new UX related job, even as a senior UX designer ?
Background: I’m currently working full-time in house position, but been actively applying for jobs within Europe (both mid to senior level positions, mostly through LinkedIn) the last 6+ months because I needed a change. But have noticed that I haven’t gotten any positive responses at all, not even an initial interview. I’ve “only” gotten a relevant bachelor’s degree but on the other hand have 8+ of experience in a wide variety of domains.
I’ve have previously never really had a problem getting interviews (and even multiple job offers), but now it’s like dead silent. This is 2-3 years ago…
I’m usually applying with - a simple one-pager resume PDF - a cover letter (usually half a page written to focus on what the job desription is looking for) - a portfolio (which I fear could be the culprit to why I get no interview as it’s nothing fancy since my work as a UX designer has been very “non-visual” focusing more on progress, research and wireframes rather than high end prototypes. So it’s mostly some simple reconstruction of some wireframes with a description of the process + results
I’ve desperately been looking for areas I could improve but feel a bit struck
…Is my approach is outdated?
…have I missed some important trends or are people are using other methods nowdays?
…is the UX demand seriously on its way down? Too much competition?
…Do I need to upgrade my skills?
…or am I simply not presenting myself well enough with my portfolio?
So, I’m wondering if anyone else has or have had the same experience?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

2024.05.13 15:16 Rogue1_76 Rant About Third Party Recruites

Why can't they just sending me the job description before I talk to them. Do they think they are these magical sales people that can convince me to apply to a job?

As someone who has been navigating the job market for a while, I've found that tailoring a resume to specific job postings can be quite the challenge. I recently created a tool called ResumeGo, an AI-powered resume parser and tailor, and thought it might be beneficial to discuss its potential impact.
ResumeGo uses artificial intelligence to analyze and optimize resumes, ensuring they align perfectly with job descriptions. This seems especially useful for those of us looking to ensure our skills and experiences are highlighted in the most relevant way. The AI examines detailed job requirements and tailors your resume to showcase your qualifications that are most pertinent to the position. Feel free to try it. resumego

2024.05.13 13:29 daeandhyun OEC - direct hire but through agency

Hi! I tried to read some posts here regarding the direct-hire but through an agency process but cant find anything regarding docs needed.
The company already hired an agency that will help but it seems that this company might not be aware of the docs needed to obtain my OEC?
For those who have gone through the agency process in the past few months, could you please tell me if these documents are correct:
  1. Updated Resume - with detailed job description in MS word format
  2. Passport copy full brown cover page
  3. Passport (colored full biographic page) - with your signature on page 3
  4. College Diploma
  5. PSA Birth Certificate
  6. NBI Clearance
  7. TB Test Certificate (Korea needs this)
  8. POEA/DMW Eregistration form
  9. PEOS Certificate
  10. visa copy
  11. TOR
  12. covid vaccination ID (seriously?!?!??! kailangan pa to??)
Nakakabaliw naman na mas madami pa docs na needed pag agency samantalang direct hire di na need ng TOR, diploma, etc?
Sorry this is a question/rant but I hope someone can help me. Thank you!

2024.05.13 12:51 Babe_My_Name_Is_Hung Resume Screening Chatbot using RAG Fusion

Hi everyone!
I recently finished a small side project for my graduating thesis, which is about experimenting with RAG-based frameworks in improving resume screening.
What my project does:
The project for the thesis is a GPT-4 Chatbot with RAG Fusion retrieval. Given a job description as input, the system retrieves the most relevant candidate profiles to perform follow-up tasks such as analysis, summarization, and decision-making, which can assist the screening process better.
The revolving idea is that the similarity-based retrieval process can effectively narrow the initial large pool of applicants down to the most relevant resumes. However, this simple similarity ranking should not be used to evaluate a candidate's actual ability. Therefore, the top resumes are used to augment the GPT-4 Chatbot so it can be conditioned on these profiles and perform further downstream tasks.
Target audience:
The repo contains the link to my paper and the notebooks that were used to design the prototype program and conduct some experiments. For the newcomers to RAG/RAG Fusion, or people who are just interested in building a RAG-based chatbots, this can be especially helpful. Feel free to check them out too!
Comparison:
I'm not sure if there's any similar project out there, but the program is sort of designed to move the resume screening process away from existing keyword-based methods. It's much more versatile in use cases and also more effective in handling resumes.
The project is very far from being perfect. Because of that, I share this with the hope to receive suggestions and feedback from you. If you have time, please give the project a visit here: GitHub
