We’ve been together for 3 years and all of those years I thought na sya yung perfect guy for me. He understands me so well, He is a family oriented guy, Goal driven, and Treated me the way I wanted me to be treated as a girlfriend.
But, nung 3rd year namin, and naging second year college student sya, it became rocky. Sobrang daming problema and I felt na nag babago sya and hindi na nya nabibigay yung love na hinahanap ko (or maybe tinetake for granted ko yung ginagawa nya). Pero tuwing may problema kami, we always choose to conquer those together. Naging motto na nga namin yung “malalagpasan natin to basta magkasama tayo”. And that’s what made me fall inlove for him every single day. Dahil lagi nya akong pinipili.
Last last week, nagkaroon kami ng small problem dahil I wanted to have a quick date with him kaso that time ay hell week nya since finals was approaching na. Then, hindi namin napag-usapan until nag pile up na sunod-sunod and suddenly burst out ng emotions and nakapag-bitaw ng masasakit na salita. I requested for space, and so he is.
After one week, nag-usap kami again but I gave him a “cold” response kasi nasaktan ako sa mga sinabi nya. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, I’ll understand him and will listen to him, pero parang naging mapride pa rin ako despite his efforts na mag update sakin kung anong nagyari sa araw nya.
Then, nag-usap kami kagabi. Sobrang wrong move na ang dami ko pang sinabi sakanya about sa mga naramdaman ko na nasabi ko naman na before. Dapat pala una pa lang nung usap namin, I initiated na mag-ayos na kami at pinaramdam na mali kong hindi sya pansinin during exam week nya.
Habang sinasabi ko sakanyang napapagod na ako, habang puro sarili ko iniisip ko, he was hurting. Nauubos sya. Sabi nya, “Pagod, ubos at sira na talaga ako at parsng di ko na mababalik yung ako na nakilala mo” . Then, requested for a breakup. Sobra akong nanlumo at nagulat. Siguro dahil iniisip kong ako pa rin ang pipiliin nya at never nya ako iiwan ng ganun. Hindi ko gustong maghiwalay kami pero tinake for granted ko sya :(( pinakiusapan ko sya, nag beg ako, sabi ko willing ako mag compromise pero ayaw nya na talaga. Yung sentences nya? Puro na past tense. “Minahal kita” “the relationship we had” “pinahalagahan kita”. Sobrang sakit marinig sa taong gusto kong makasama forever.
Now, while contemplating narealize ko lahat ng mali ko all throughout the relationship and tangina. Hindi ko talaga sya kaya mawala. This time I’ll make sure na hindi nya na ulit mararamdaman yun. I’ll give him everything na binigay nya sakin noon (effort, patience, understanding, time, pagmamahal).
I wanted to ask for a second chance pero bibigyan ko muna sya ulit ng space para mag-isip. Next month, pupunta sya ng Canada and natatakot akong masasanay syang wala ako.
Sobra ko syang mahal na tangina bakit hindi ko naparamdama sakanya noon.
Should I talk to him face-to-face about this before sya umalis ng bansa o pag-uwi nya na lang from Canada? Pls. I want to be better for us. Hindi ko kayang mawala yung taong to t_t.

Napatanong lang po ako kung okay po ba na undergrad ang BS Pharma for Biomedical Engineering?
Nagdadalawang isip na po kasi ako kung gusto ko ang Pharmacy maging career ko, pero yun na po kasi nung course na kukunin ko for college and it can be useful to have a degree in a field na sure pong meron akong makukuhang trabaho (in my case at least po).
Pero ngayon po na open up ako sa mga courses na parang mas interested po ako (I know, kung kailan talaga mag gagraduate at nakaapply na sa schools haha). That is Biomedical Engineering.
I'm thinking of finishing BS Pharma then taking a Masters in Biomedical Engineering. Possible ba po yun?
And also po, ano po ang job opportunities na pwede ko makuha it ever makatapos po ako ng Biomedical Engineering. Nag research po ako ngayon ng mga possible jobs and may kaunting knowledge na po ako tungkol sa career path na yun po pero gusto ko pa rin matanong sanyo kasi baka may mga things na pwede Ko pa po ma take into consideration.

The medical gaslighting is just unreal.
I had a "cardiac injury" over the weekend (have to go for more tests for real diagnosis). My fatigue had been better that past week, so I challenged myself to go up the stairs without pausing (stupid - but every once in a while I get fed up and try to be normal). I got really winded, lightheaded, so I laid down. Then, it was like a switch. My heart started beating really fast and really hard and I could barely breathe. I went downstairs and put cold water on my face, vagal maneuvers, laid down flat - it didn't stop, so I called 911. By the time they arrived, the pounding changed to a cramping feeling in my chest/throat. My EKG came back baseline for me (I have an irregular EKG due to a heart defect as a baby). The paramedic was incredibly kind and I initially resisted going to the hospital but he encouraged me to go in for testing. Grateful to him.
Anyway, long story short, they drew a troponin and it was elevated (not heart attack levels, but still elevated), so they had to do another draw 3 hours later to look for a change. After my assigned nurse went over what happened (and AFTER the first T result came back, so she saw that it was elevated) and she asked me to describe my pain. I said it felt like pressure or a cramp starting in my chest and extending into my throat/jaw. She said, with wide eyes like she just cracked a case: "I wonder if it's heartburn."
I said (politely), "it's not heartburn. I have had heartburn in the past and it's really not heartburn." She said okay and moved on.
I went to my follow up with my primary today and she asked how my heartburn pain was amidst all this. I said "what heartburn?" Apparently the nurse wrote "heartburn symptoms" and "discomfort from possible indigestion." Luckily my primary believed me when I said it was never heartburn and ordered more cardiac testing.
Unbelievable. These careless people determine our futures. It makes me wonder how many other careless notes in my chart are floating around, keeping me from the care/testing I need and have needed.

I'm working on an itinerary for a long roadtrip from northeast WY to MD (a cross-3/4th country trip) in mid-June. Currently, I'm looking to go through the states in this order: WY > SD > MN > WI >IL > IN > OH > PA/WV > VA/MD. I'm thinking about getting the National Park pass so that I can go to many of the attractions along this trip. Other interests include breweries and good eats!

19m - I’m so pissed off that I’m expected to know what I want to do and what to study to determine what I’m going to do for my entire life

Chapter 3

• 1:「I take it this means House Hyarms will be the only one of the Four Great Houses in attendance?」 / 「“四大”から当主が出席するのはそちらの家だけになりそうだな？」

The localization has Jusis word this an absolute. "当主" should refer to the actual head of the house. Jusis could've said: [I take it this means House Hyarms will be the only one of the Four Great Houses in with it's head attendance?]

• 2:「Every bit as tasty as the pancakes Tilly and I had earlier.」 / 「この前アーちゃんと食べたパンケーキに負けてないかなぁ。」

The phrasing choice of "earlier" in the localization makes this reference to a moment in Chapter 1, pretty much two months ago, strange. It feels like way too much like a direct translation of "この前," without the context. Millium could've said: [Every bit as tasty as the pancakes Tilly and I had (anything that'd make more sense) before/in Leeves/a couple months ago.]

• 3:「I figured Nidhoggr would be good, but the other guys are no slouches themselves.」 / 「“竜”も“連中”も悪くない。」

Random moment in the localization where refering to the jaeger corp in question as just "the dragons"/"竜" is omitted. There were no issues in any other instance. Shirley could've said: [I figured the dragons would be good, but the other guys are no slouches themselves.]

• 4:「The dragon lost its head, and as for the other group, well...」 / 「“竜”は頭が変わり、“彼ら”の方といえば──」

The original has it as "changed"/"変わり," not outright lost. Gareth could've said: [The dragon changed its head, and as for the other group, well...]

• 5:「We've got two of the strongest jaeger corps--the dragons and these jaegers in purple--battling it out...」 / 「──最強の猟兵団２つに“竜”たち、そして紫の一団……」

The localization phrases this in a different way than it should. It's denoted that "the dragons and these jaegers in purple" are emphasized as the "two strongest jager corps"; however, the original is listing the four in the scene. Sara could've said: [We've got two of the strongest jaeger corps--Zephyr and the Red Constelation--the dragons and these jaegers in purple, battling it out.]

• 6:「What's this big conference thing about?」 / 「『領邦会議』って何なの？」

The localization changes the clear question about the actual term she read about, just to make it sillier. Besides the fact that it even chooses to swap "council" for "conference." Juna could've said: [What's this Provincial Council thing about?]

• 7:「One time, some bandits captured me and held me in a stone prison...」 / 「とある小国では、山賊に捕まり一週間も岩牢へぶち込まれた事があったのお……」

The localization omits the time held captive, "one week"/"一週間." Old Man Rod could've said: [One time, some bandits captured me and held me in a stone prison for a whole week...]

• 8:「Speaking of which, was the Azure Knight ever retrieved?」 / 「そういえば《蒼の騎神》は軍に回収されたのよね？」

「I heard that they sealed it up so that the Noble Alliance wouldn't get their hands on it.」 / 「貴族勢力に使われないよう厳重に封印したって聞いたけど……」
Very weird way to phrase this line by the localization. Especially considering that it is also said "they sealed it" in the next line. The original already mentions the "military"/"軍." Celine could've said: [Speaking of which, was/wasn't the Azure Knight ever retrieved by the military?]

• 9:「Mastering this form is more difficult than any other. I do not know if you are even capable of such a feat, yet...」 / 「その極みは他の型よりも遠く、おぬしが“理”に至れるかは分からぬが……」

The localization lumps the meaning of reaching the "pinnacle" or "heights"/"極み" and "enlightenment"/"理" to be the same thing as "mastering"/"奥伝" the 7th form. That's simply wrong. Yun Ka-Fai's letter could've said: [Reaching the pinnacle of this form is more difficult than any other. I do not know if you are even capable of attaining "enlightenment", yet...]

• 10:「Not to mention, I can't imagine you'd need a third. Not at this point in your relationship, anyway♡.」 / 「それにせっかくの２人きりの機会……水を差すのは野暮というものですし♡」

The localization adds what I assume is meant to be a "threesome" joke. Sharon could've said: [Not to mention, I can't imagine you'd like me to intrude on your private time♡]

• 11:「My school and the cathedral are in the same district, in case you were wondering.」 / 「何しろ、女学院と大聖堂は同じサンクト地区にありますしね。」

The localization saw fit to omit the specifications of the district. Elise could've said: [My school/St. Astraia/the Girl's School and the cathedral are both in the Sankt District, in case you were wondering.]

• 12:「(Yes, I have. When I was accompanying the inspection team in Crossbell, I did some studying there.)」 / 「（ええ、ですがクロスベルの視察団に同行するのにあたって一通り勉強しましたから。）」

Actually, it's completely wrong. When questioned, by Rean, that she's never been to Armorica Village before, she's not supposed to have "studied in the village." Elise should've said: [Yes, I haven't. However, when I was accompanying the inspection team in Crossbell, I did some studying/read all *about it.]

• 13:「We have the Goddess of the Sky, but they worship something else.」 / 「彼らは空の女神と同じくらい大切にしているものがあるんだ。」

「What is it that the Nord people worship?」 / 「ノルドの民が、空の女神と同じくらい大切にしているものは？」
There isn't supposed to be a comparison that reads as if the Nord people worship "something else" instead of Aidios. Rean could've said: [They also have the Goddess of the Sky, but they worship something else equally.]

• 14:「He knows a lot about cooking, and he tells me all about the academy. Teehee, he's so helpful.」 / 「お料理も詳しいし、学院の事情なんかも教えてくださるの。ふふ、助かっているわ。」

「With such an amazing faculty member, Thors must really be an excellent school.」 / 「あんなに優秀な職員さんが いるなんて、トールズってやっぱり名門校なのねぇ。」
「Hahaha...(That doesn't quite seem like Celestin, but...)」 / 「ははは……（セレスタンさんはちょっと特別な気もするが……）」
The localization got this one completely wrong. How is describing Celestin as "knowledgeable about cooking" and "helpful" not like him? That response makes no sense. First, the second line should read more generalizing the compliments to the whole staff; Cattleya could've said: [With such an amazing faculty member/members Thors must really be an excellent school.] Second, the meaning is that "Celestin is a unique case among the faculty" (in regards to being so amazing.) Rean could've said: [Hahaha... (That doesn't quite seem like anyone but Celestin...)]

• 15:「Huh...? (Wait, is someone outside...?)」 / 「ふむ……（そういえば部屋の外に……）」

The localization also got this one wrong. The Japanese don't come across as completely unaware. The assumption of this scene is that to Wayne is standing outside the training hall. Rean could've said: [Huh...? (Wait, the one outside would be...)]

• 16:「She also said she apprenticed under a female martial artist and traveled around Erebonia...」 / 「外国人の女性武術家に弟子入りして、半年も帝国を放浪していたなんて話も聞きましたが……」

The localization omits the time spent traveling, "半年." Rean could've said: [She also said she apprenticed under a female martial artist and traveled around Erebonia for six months...]

• 17:「Yeah, thanks to this pendant Emma made me.」 / 「ああ……エマの魔力が込められこのペンダントの力を借りてだが。」

The localization simplifies the explanation. Rean could've said: [Yeah, thanks to this pendant Emma imbued with her magic.)

• 18:「A monster? Wait, that's a cryptid!」 / 「魔獣──いや、魔物のたぐいか！？」

「What a nightmarish beast that cryptid was...」 / 「はぁ、まさかあんな恐ろしい魔物がいるなんて……」
The localization mistranslated "fiend"/"魔物" for "cryptid"/"幻獣." Kurt could've said: [A monster? Wait that's some kind of fiend!] Musse could've said: [What a nightmarish beast that fiend was...]

• 19:「After paying a visit to Professor Schmidt, Rean walked George to the station, where his train back to Roer was waiting.」 / 「シュミット博士に一言挨拶を済ませた後、北東のルーレに向かうジョルジュを駅まで見送ることにしたのだった。」

The localization removes the direction of the city. The narration could've said: [After paying a visit to Professor Schmidt, Rean walked George to the station, where his train back to Roer, in the northeast, was waiting.]

• 20:「I considered making a last stand there, but news of the Northern War reached me.」 / 「１年は抵抗してやろうと思ったがそこへ《北方戦役》の話が降ってきた。」

The localization removes the remark about the duration of the last stand. Aurelia could've said: [I considered making a last stand there for a year, but news of the Northern War reached me.]

• 21:「You'll be just fine, Towa. Now let's get this show on the road!」 / 「フフ、ハーシェル先輩ならきっと大丈夫ですよ。一緒に頑張りましょう！」

The localization changes, addressing Towa by her surname. Munk could've said: [You'll be just fine, Herschel. Now let's get this show on the road!]

• 22:「Not to mention, as the student council president, you were highly regarded by many of your fellow students.」 / 「もとより、士官学院の生徒会長として貴族・平民を問わず多くの学院生たちから高い信頼を受け──」

The localization omits taking social classes into account. Munk could've said: [Not to mention, as the student council president, you were highly regarded by many of your fellow students--nobles and commoners alike.]

• 23:「Heehee. No elegant young maiden can resist the call of beautiful lace.」 / 「ふふっ、淑女の嗜みと言えばやはりマリアージュ・クロスははずせないでしょうね。」

The localization omits the mention of the brand. Musse could've said: [Heehee. No elegant young maiden can resist the call of Mariage Cross beautiful lace/Mariage Cross' beautiful lace.]

• 24:「Nothing draws a man's eye like a bit of lace...in just the right spot.」 / 「姫様から色々とプレゼントされたと聞きましたけど？」

The localization completely changes, from specifically teasing Elise to just be more of a general tease. Musse could've said: [I've heard that the princess has gifted you many such lace.]

• 25:「Although, I was shocked when she tried to pay for it with gunpowder.」 / 「手持ちがないからって報酬を弾薬で払おうとした時は驚いたけどね。」

The localization chooses to translate the general term for "ammunition"/"弾薬" to be specifically gunpowder. Marcus could've said: [Although, I was shocked when she tried to pay for it with ammunition/ammo/(maybe) *bullets".]

• 26:「How about assorted Eastern sweets?」 / 「なら……『羊羹の詰め合わせ』はどうだ？」

The localization randomly chooses to translate "yokan"/"羊羹" as just generic "eastern sweets", after having no problem doing it correctly in all other instances. Rean could've said: [How about some assorted yokan?]

• 27:「Well, we've basically just been making whatever we want at the Cooking Club.」 / 「ま、具体的には料理研究会と女子の有志でメニュー追加ですね。」

The localization phrases the arrangement weirdly. Juna could've said: [Well, we've (Elise, Musse and Juna) basically just decided on the menu together with the Cooking Club.]

• 28:「The elder? Is she the one Emma and Vita call their grandmother?」 / 「“長”──エマが“お祖母ちゃん”、クロチルダさんが“婆様”と呼ぶ人だよな？」

「I'm also worried about the 'true story' that Vita mentioned.」 / 「クロチルダさんが言っていた“真なる物語”というのもあったな。」
Again, it's made to use "Vita" instead of "Clotilde." I've already explained in previous posts how these changes can affect the dynamics of characters negatively. Rean could've said: [I'm also worried about the 'true story' that Clotilde mentioned.]

• 29:「From that day, Emma began training and studying as hard as she could with one goal...」 / 「『あやつの事は忘れよ』という“長”の言葉にも納得せず、その日からひたすらに修行と勉学に励んでいったわ。」

The localization removes what Roselia told Emma. Celine could've said: [From the day the Elder said 'forget all about heVita', Emma began training and studying as hard as she could with one goal...)

• 30:「That's the golden Spiegel the principal mentioned!」 / 「分校長が使っていた黄金のシュピーゲル……！」

The localization swaps "used" or "piloted"/"使っていた" for "mentioned." Rean could've said: [That's the golden Spiegel the principal used!]

• 31:「And so, Aurelia finished training the members of Class VIII...」 / 「──こうしてオーレリアはⅧ組メンバーにも（優しく）稽古を付け……」

The localization omits the joke. The narration could've said: [And so, Aurelia finished (gently) training the members of Class VIII...]

• 32:「Do they really need to have the conference during the Summer Festival...?」 / 「……夏至祭の時期……領邦会議もあるんですよね……」

The localization chose to phrase this as there's supposed to be reservation against these events being held at the same time. That wasn't particularly present originally. Tatiana could've said: [The Summer Festival is going to be held at the same time as Pronvicial Council...]; or: [I hear that the Provincial Council will be held together with the Summer Festival...]

• 33:「From what I heard, Olivier liked to play his lute under it.」 / 「ちなみに、その大橋の下で オリビエさんがリュートの弾き語りを披露したことがあるらしいんです。」

The localization puts this as if it's a 'known regular hobby'. Tita could've said: [From what I heard, Olivier played his lute under it *once.]

• 34:「It reminds me of the fleet. I feel like I'm home.」 / 「まるで船団に戻って来た みたいというか……これだけで里心がついちまうよ。」

「I hope our boss is doing well.」 / 「それにしても──女将さん、元気だといいんだが。」
The localization creates an awkward confusion for these lines. What would be expected is that "boss" would be the fleet's boss, but it's actually talking about the owner of the sailor bar, Miranda, by using "owner" or "landlady"/"女将さん." Leonora could've said: [I hope Miranda/the owner is doing well.]

• 35「Well, thanks to my mom's job, I know all about the nightlife in Raquel. Lemme know if you need any recommendations.」 / 「ま、お袋の職場だったのもあるし、夜のラクウェルなら任せろや。」

「I think it'll be an eye-opening experience for everyone, yeah?」 / 「坊ちゃんやらジャジャ馬にだっていい社会勉強になるんじゃねえか？」
「Though I might consider doing something after we're done with the field exercises.」 / 「せめて演習が終わった最終日なら引率込みで考えなくもないが。」
「Huh...? Well, aren't you a stingy one?」 / 「ハァ……？チッ、ケチくせえ野郎だな。」
The point of the line doesn't really come across that well in the localization. It sounds like the punchline to responding to Ash's proposal to allow Class VII to go out in the nightlife of Raquel is that "I'll consider doing that by myself." That couldn't be more wrong. Rena could've said: [Though I might consider chaperoning you guys after we're done with the field exercises.]

• 36:「The former Duke Cayenne is still under arrest and no replacement has been named.」 / 「現カイエン公は逮捕されたままで地方統括者は不在ですよね。」

Literally mistranslates "current"/"現." Altina could've said: [The current Duke Cayenne is still under arrest and no replacement has been named.]

• 37:「Hmph, you talk a lot for a doll. Must have a really long string in the back.」 / 「ハッ、よく喋る人形だぜ。」

Ash's line originally ends at the first clause.

• 38:「I hear there are some snipers who chose the Hector... but I suppose it all comes down to feeling.」 / 「正規軍の中にはヘクトルを選ぶ狙撃手もいるそうですが……まあ、要は相性ですね。」

The localization omits tthe fact that the snipers are from the army. Maya could've said: [I hear there are some snipers in the Imperial Army who chose the Hector... but I suppose it all comes down to feeling.]

• 41:「During the war, the Imperial Army was at a loss after multiple failed attempts to infiltrate.」 / 「当時、帝国正規軍も攻めあぐねて頭を抱えたそうです。」

Much the same, the second line is supposed to be talking about that single past event. The localization translated this line very wrongly. The situation being "shifted" isn't the Northern War. Rean could've said: [To resolve that situation (Aurelia's barricade in Juno), the deal to set out for the Northern War was struck.]

The localization omits the mention of the Main Battle Tanks. Ash could've said: [I don't see any Main Battle Tanks/MBTs/Achtzenhs or Goliath Soldats. Do you?]

By virtue of omitting information, the localization causes this line to have the wrong information. In the first line. Wallace could've said: [But over the past half a month/two weeks, we've not seen activity from the multiple jaeger corps which, until then, had been moving suspiciously in the Empire starting six months ago.] Consequentially, it's the lack of movement so close to the Provincial Council that makes them wary. The third line straight up mistranslated "half a month"/"半月." Wallace could've said: [Over the past half a month/two weeks, there haven't been any confirmed reports of jaeger corps activity within the Empire.]

• 47:「Ordis has been holding the Imperial Provincial Council since yesterday. Immediately after that's done is the Summer Festival.」 / 「オルディスは明日より領邦会議、そして《夏至祭》という状況です。」

The localization outright mistranslates "tomorrow"/"明日." The Provincial Army Soldier could've said: [Ordis will hold the Imperial Provincial Council starting tomorrow. Immediately after that's done is the Summer Festival.]

• 49:「Looking at this view, I can see why Ordis is so famous.」 / 「さすがは《紺碧の海都》と称えられるだけはある街だな。」

「The Port City, Ordis.」 / 「《紺碧の海都》オルディスへ。」
The localization refuses to establish a term for this other name that Rean and Musse call Ordis. Given some uses of the Japanese term, it could be "Saphirl Port City"; given the name of a food item in the city, perhaps "Aquamarine Port City"; even if not the same kanji, maybe "Azure Port City." As long as it's not entirely omitted from the game.

• 50:「Yeah, but once we're done sightseein', we've got a monster to kill.」 / 「そんで一通り回ったら南の浜辺で手配された魔獣をブチ倒すわけか。」

The localization omits mentioning the location of the monster. Ash could've said: [Yeah, but once we're done sightseein', we've got a monster to kill on the beach to the south/southern beach/beach south of the city.]

• 51:「I hope Luna isn't too bored.」 / 「はっはっは、ルナたちが退屈していなければいいのだが。」

The localization singles out Luna. Lord Quinn could've said: [I hope Luna and Eclair aren't too bored.]

The localization messes up the timeframe a little. The Provincial Army Soldier could've said: [You're in luck. With the Summer Festival happening soon, the town is really buzzing with activity.]

Just like in Chapter 2, a maid is made to call her "master"/"lord" her husband by virtue of the fact that the Japanese term can be used for both. Pamela could've said: [My Master/Lord doesn't like things that come from the capital.]

• 54:「In addition to the taverns, there's an orbment store, and a glass workshop that is popular with the duke households.」 / 「宿酒場の他に、導力器なども扱う、公爵家御用達の硝子工房などもあります。」

It's not meant to be "households "in plural; the context here is that the glass workshop is used by the Cayenne estate. Musse could've said: [In addition to the taverns, there's an orbment store, and a glass workshop that is popular with the duke household/Cayenne/duke's estate*.]

• 55:「Guess what! My big brother is coming back tomorrow!」 /「あのね！ 今日兄ちゃんが帰ってくるんだ～っ！」

「My big brother is coming back tomorrow!」 / 「今日は兄ちゃんが帰ってくるんだよ！」
Straight up mistranslating "today"/"今日" in the localization. Luka could've said: [Guess what! My big brother is coming back today!]; And: [My big brother is coming back today!]

• 56:「Gramps is the ultimate craftsman. He even received the Golden Emblem.」 / 「じいちゃんは陛下から《黄綬勲章》を賜った最高の職人ですからね。」

The localization omits the line also havimg mention of the fact that the emperor is the award giver. Luther could've said: [Gramps is the ultimate craftsman. He even received the Golden Emblem from His Majesty himself.]

• 57:「Though, all I do nowadays is drink here!」 / 「ま、今はこの店くらいにしか卸しておらんがなぁ！」

「We get all our seafood from Rossel.」 / 「ちなみに魚介はそこのロッセルさんが卸してくれるんだ。」
The localization got this line wrong. It's not about drinking a lot, even the owner of the inn says the same, "卸して." Just as mentioned in the second line, by the tavern owner, Edmond. Old Man Rossel should've said: [Though, all I do nowadays is sell my catches here!]

• 57:「I need to make sure it doesn't compromise the beauty of this.」 / 「《輝き号》の魅力を損ねないよう、極力目立たないようにしたいけど……」

The localization chose to have the guy who's emamored with his new boat, and gave it it's own name, ultimately call it a "this." The Cheerful Man could've said: [I need to make sure it doesn't compromise Radiance's beauty.]

• 58:「I had to rid myself of some of the merchant ships my grandfather passed down to me! Aside from that little head start, I'm a self-made man!」 / 「祖父の代からの商船すらただ同然で手放すことになるなど……！」

The original isn't really about being or not being "self-made." Lord Beckford could've said: [I had to rid myself of some of the merchant ships my grandfather passed down to me as if they were worthless!]

• 59:「I mean, will all four of the Great Houses even participate? This truly is mindboggling.」 / 「そもそも四大の足並みすら揃うかどうか。……やれやれ、悩ませてくれる。」

The localization makes up the logic that the count would somehow still be in doubt of the participation of Great Houses with one day to go. Count Florald should've said: [I mean, will all four of the Great Houses' thoughts even be in alignment? This truly is mindboggling.]

• 60:「So this is a jade shell...It'd make for quite the accessory.」 / 「これがヒスイ貝か……確かに飾りに相応しいな。」

The whole point of the quest is to make "decorations"/"飾り" for the Summer Festival, and the localization decides it should be "accessory." Kurt should've said: [So this is a jade shell...It'd make for quite the decorarion.]

• 61:「We've lost enough men for one day.」 / 「ここで戦力を減らす意味など皆無だからな。」

The original doesn't make it sound like the Purple Jaegers already lost men against Rean and Class VII. The Purple Jaeger should've said: [There's no point in us losing our forces here today.]

• 62:「It's vital that we confirm if there are jaeger corps roaming the area.」 / 「この地で猟兵団が動いているのを実際に捉えたのは大きいだろう。」

The localization mistranslated this line and also makes it sound silly. None of the characters put any doubt that there are jaegers around or that the Purple Jaegers are jaegers; needing to confirm that just comes across as awkward. Patrick should've said: [It would have been great if we had actually captured those jaegers roaming the area.]

• 62:「This is a travesty! Does Marquis Ballad truly intend to reform the government like this?!」 / 「……信じられるか！？バラッド侯はまだ政府の改革案を受け入れるつもりらしいぞ。」

The original is about "accepting the government's reform plan"/"政府の改革案を受け入れる. Lord Beckford should've said: [This is a travesty! Does Marquis Ballad truly intend to accept the reforms of the government like this?!]

• 63:「We'll both be in town while the council is underway.」 / 「毎年領邦会議の時期は二人とも同じ街にいるんです。」

The original is about the lovers being in Ordis "every year"/"毎年" during the Provincial Council. Hearhcliff could've said: [We both come to town every year while the council is underway.]

• 64:「The next Duke Cayenne is about to be decided.」 / 「そろそろ現カイエン公にも判決が出される頃だよなぁ。」

The localizations not only mistranslate "current"/"現" but also "sentenced"/"判決が出される." Reins should've said: [The current Duke Cayenne is about to be sentenced.]

• 65:「Our hotel offers a taxi service.」 / 「当ホテルではラクウェルヘの送迎サービスも行っております。」

「You can enjoy the night life without worrying about the time.」 / 「鉄道のお時間を気にせず歓楽街を楽しむ事ができますよ。」
The first localized line gives the wrong idea. That would cause the second line to likely be interpreted as "Ordis' night life" when it's actually about in "Raquel"/"ラクウェル". Receptionis Harold should've said: [Our hotel offers a taxi service jto and from Raquel*.]

• 66:「Juna, see you later.」 / 「ユウナちゃんたち、お疲れ様ー。」

The localization singles out Juna, when it's her and Class VII. Louise could've said: [Juna and everyone/Everyone/Class VII, see you later.]

• 67:「Haha. Well, the three girls were so cute that I nearly--ahem, excuse me.」 / 「フフ、女の子たち３人が可愛すぎて思わず鼻血が──おっと、失敬。」

The localization leaves to the imagination, for better or for worse to some, that she got a "nosebleed"/"鼻血." Angelica could've said: [Haha. Well, the three girls were so cute that I got a nosebleed--ahem, excuse me.]

I have my debut novel coming out with a small press next year.
I’m also planning on pitching my adult dark fantasy / romance book in #PitDark on Twitter on May 23, in hopes of getting an agent for it. I might also query it after that. (I’m not quite done editing it yet w my beta reader, so I don’t see it as 100% polished yet)
The editor of the small press, who’s been very supportive so far and seems really enthusiastic about the book I’m publishing with them next year, has also just expressed interest in seeing the fantasy book (as I’d tweeted about it). The press hasn’t really pubbed much fantasy but he says he wants to publish something in a similar genre and that he “would be happy to take a look unless you are thinking agent/big 5.”
Well I didn’t wanna be like “No, I reject you just in case an agent can come my way with a better deal with the big 5.” It seemed mean and ungrateful. Even though a big 5 deal, with a five- or six-figure advance, would be preferable to a three-figure advance (such as the one I got from the small press for my debut novel).
But I’ve also heard that a lot of Big 5 houses are quite cold and don’t give their authors much responsiveness or attention unless you’re in their Top 10 for that season. That coldness isn’t something I’ve experienced from the small press….
Anyway, I sent my small press editor the manuscript of my fantasy book, does that mean I shouldn’t participate in #PitDark? Would the editor feel betrayed if I did? What do I do in such a situation?
I mean. It would TRULY SUCK if i rejected the small press and then tried to find an agent for the manuscript and couldn’t get one, or if I did find an agent but it died on sub. (That happened to me twice in the past with two other books, including the one that’s coming out next year from the small press)
….And then I’d be completely sunk, with no options to trad publish this manuscript. And I really really love it!!! And I love the small press too. I think they consistently put out really good books and have been moving up in the world in the past few years. It’s just …. I don’t want to miss out on a big 5 deal if I could get one, you know? :/
I’m also just not sure how marketable my book is for the big 5. It might have some qualities that would turn off the big houses (not fitting squarely into YA or adult, for example) but which the small press might be okay with…
I’ve also heard it’s ROUGH in the query trenches right now. My book isn’t super original and is basically “assassin falls in love with the magician she’s been sent to kill,” and I’m thinking that, just as with my pathetically failed memoir, I’ll get nothing but 100 CNRs and form rejections.

I (27f) tried to break up with my (32m) boy friend of 5 years about 7 months ago and explained I felt that neither of us were growing in this relationship anymore and that we’ve been stagnant from the start, we talk big dreams always but never take a step towards it. I on the other hand have been trying to move out of our place for the last 2 years and he keeps quitting jobs and being jobless for a month or two at a time leaving me to all of our expenses and draining my bank every time. 7 months ago I also was a little more fixated on how we never do anything together we spend little to no time together we do not have normal conversations it’s almost like we’re room mates to be honest, and the chores are heavy on my shoulders most the time. I told him I can’t trust that he will change and he said word for word “that’s fair”. Now I did fuck up by having sex with him shortly after,,, we talked again and I was pretty upset but strong on wanting to leave, he begged me not to and ya know the works so I stayed. 7 months later he’s done nothing to make me want to stay here, if anything he’s gotten worse. A few weeks ago he cried to me and said he feels my not wanting him around and to just tell him if that’s the case but this all revolved around the fact that I didn’t want to have sex with him that night, he’s truly only nice to me when he thinks he’s going to get lucky that night which doesn’t make me feel great, guess what I’m saying here is I do not know how to about this the second time around, I’m more confident and less sad this time around but I feel I’ll come off more cold this time, which I don’t want to do I still love him and I have no resentment towards him but I don’t think this relationship is healthy and happy for me anymore (mind you I have been his only serious relationship) which to me makes it harder as I know he will resentment for this oh and we live together which I’ve never broken up with someone I LIVE with and I do not know how to do this, like would it be fucked for me to state the way I feel and that I want to break up and just start packing. I know this may sound cynical coming from my end but there’s been a lot over the years that has factored into now but I’ve looked past all of it as I love him but I can’t keep being his mommy I’m wasting my literal twenties with him holding his hand and literally supporting him

I friend requested her on instagram later that day and messaged her a continuation of the joke. We haven’t messaged much but we have liked a few of each other’s posts here and there and we’ve seen each other a few more times for work between then and now, having some banter each time.
Recently (about a week ago) I was at an open house she was sitting and when I walked in we greeted each other and she went for a hug. Not one of those polite one arm hugs you give to an acquaintance or that aunt you don’t like, a full double arm wrap around hug. We chit chat and she does it again as I’m leaving. I see her again yesterday and she does the same thing. We’re chatting a bit and I think of a movie I wanted to recommend to her but couldn’t think of the name but said I would text it to her. A few hours later I go to text her and realize I don’t have her number. I message her on Instagram instead and say “this is the movie I was talking about earlier. I was gonna text you but apparently I don’t have your number.” She responsds “Ahhh, I’m gonna have to watch it!” And then “lol it’s (number) in case you ever need”. I respond “I’ll have to think of a reason… maybe some more movie recs” as a cheeky light flirt. I text her a quick message saying “hey, here’s my number”. The next morning she thumbs up reacts to the text and then 10 minutes later she “likes” the Instagram message from the night before with the standard heart reaction when you like something on instagram.
What I am confused about now is if my light flirting was received well. In my head the like reactions feel cold but I might just be reading way too into it.
I want to tread carefully with this, as no matter the outcome, we will have to see each other for work. Any advice and insight is greatly appreciated but please keep things positive.

I love this game, saw credits (twice) and all, but before I accepted it for what it was, I was duped a bit by how breathless reviews were about it.
I’m talking bout some ““Stop reading go play” is the first sentence” type of breathlessness. Then comparing it to Outer Wilds which…excuse you. That game left me hollow for three days after with its intent and storytelling.
It made me expect something similarly mind blowing when really, it’s vibes all the way down. Vibes, and whatever it is you choose to project. A comment on polygon called it more like Celeste meets Baba Is You, and I think that’s really true in all the best ways, cause Celeste is one of my favorite games ever and Baba also rules.
Anyone else like this? Felt a bit cold until you accepted Animal Well’s mysteries were of a different kind?

Hi everyone we live in PA with a month to month agreement. we have been living here for a year. The problem is my landlord and I do not have a contract signed. He kind of left it up to us to make the contract so we can go over it and we can both sign it. We are his first ever tenants. So he is very new to this. How can I go about making a contract? There are some areas in the house that need some fixing and he has kind of been dragging his feet with fixing it so I figured that if we wrote a contract out he will fix them right away. Also, we want a puppy soon and he said he wants two times the rent as a deposit since we have carpet. He mentioned that he will want a contract in case we won’t be getting the deposit back because the carpets got ruined by the puppy. Those are a few reasons why i want to write up a contract. I know it’s kind of backwards since the landlord is supposed to be writing the contract, but he’s leaving it up to us.

Hi there, I'm Dreamer.
Last year, I underwent a mental health treatment journey from September - February. I spent a month in a residential facility outside of Nashville for a month. After I was released, I spent a week and a half in a PHP in Chattanooga. It wasn't the right fit for me, so I drove myself to Knoxville, spent three and a half months in PHP, stepped down to IOP for two months and then graduated from the program.
I moved into a sober living program in East Knoxville in February and stayed there until March. My dad convinced me to come back to Nashville and stay with him and my step family for a while; hadn't seen my entire family in months and didn't exactly receive the warmest welcome... Needless to say, shit went sideways, was uninsured and couldn't get the meds I needed, my mental health tanked and I eventually started drinking/using THC to self-medicate.
Decided to say "Screw it, I'm trying this again" and I was in a recovery center in Kentucky for 18 days. Left there yesterday and now I'm back in Knoxville at my old PHP program. What happened sucks and I'm not the proudest of relapsing after having months of sobriety but I'm feeling optimistic and motivated... I just want to get back to feeling okay again, you know?
Tomorrow will mark 34 days sober, woo.
Anyway, now that I've probably scared everyone off... Where do I start?
I'm 26 years old, an Aquarius and an INFJ-T. I'm originally from Nashville, as you might have guessed. I'm very thicc but I lost a fair amount of weight during my first treatment stint and I'm trying to maintain it. I'm also 5'7" so I'm kinda tall-ish...? I'm also Black, but I like guys of all colors, so I don't discriminate.
My hobbies/interests: Writing, music, photography, TV/movies/YouTube, people watching, traveling and so much more that I can't think of. I started journaling again too (I stopped after I last got out of treatment) and it's like I never left.
I love animals (especially cats, dogs and snakes!) I have my own car (though it's currently back in Nashville and I probably won't get it until I go into IOP again) and most of my sanity haha.
Just an FYI, I do vape. I don't do it all day long but it's still a habit. I don't smoke cigs, though, because they're nasty and smelly. I want to quit vaping altogether but it is what it is right now. We all need our vices.
What am I looking for in a guy?

Hi there, I'm Dreamer.
Last year, I underwent a mental health treatment journey from September - February. I spent a month in a residential facility outside of Nashville for a month. After I was released, I spent a week and a half in a PHP in Chattanooga. It wasn't the right fit for me, so I drove myself to Knoxville, spent three and a half months in PHP, stepped down to IOP for two months and then graduated from the program.
I moved into a sober living program in East Knoxville in February and stayed there until March. My dad convinced me to come back to Nashville and stay with him and my step family for a while; hadn't seen my entire family in months and didn't exactly receive the warmest welcome... Needless to say, shit went sideways, was uninsured and couldn't get the meds I needed, my mental health tanked and I eventually started drinking/using THC to self-medicate.
Decided to say "Screw it, I'm trying this again" and I was in a recovery center in Kentucky for 18 days. Left there yesterday and now I'm back in Knoxville at my old PHP program. What happened sucks and I'm not the proudest of relapsing after having months of sobriety but I'm feeling optimistic and motivated... I just want to get back to feeling okay again, you know?
Tomorrow will mark 34 days sober, woo.
Anyway, now that I've probably scared everyone off... Where do I start?
I'm 26 years old, an Aquarius and an INFJ-T. I'm originally from Nashville, as you might have guessed. I'm very thicc but I lost a fair amount of weight during my first treatment stint and I'm trying to maintain it. I'm also 5'7" so I'm kinda tall-ish...? I'm also Black, but I like guys of all colors, so I don't discriminate.
My hobbies/interests: Writing, music, photography, TV/movies/YouTube, people watching, traveling and so much more that I can't think of. I started journaling again too (I stopped after I last got out of treatment) and it's like I never left.
I love animals (especially cats, dogs and snakes!) I have my own car (though it's currently back in Nashville and I probably won't get it until I go into IOP again) and most of my sanity haha.
Just an FYI, I do vape. I don't do it all day long but it's still a habit. I don't smoke cigs, though, because they're nasty and smelly. I want to quit vaping altogether but it is what it is right now. We all need our vices.
What am I looking for in a guy?

1. Someone the same height or taller than me (AKA 5'7"+)
2. Someone with nice hair (I've always been really attracted to men with medium to long hair because I love playing with it)
3. Someone with positive qualities such as kindness, honesty, affection, gentleness, emotional maturity, etc...

I believe long distance relationships CAN be successful if there is consistent face-to-face interaction. I'm not too keen on international connections unless, of course, you have the time and means to come and see me regularly
    1. Someone who has a car, so we can drive around and do stuff. I can be your very own passenger princess, complete with absolute bangers and lots of snacks!
    2. Someone who enjoys meaningful conversations. I hate small talk, one word answers or when someone ignores my input/thoughts. If you can't communicate or don't like to keep in touch throughout the day, please don't bother.

I want someone to hold hands with, run errands together, give random kisses and hugs, cuddle up on cold nights and rainy days, take drives and see where the road leads us... I want you to be my one and only. By the way, as far as intimacy goes, I need to take things really slow for personal reasons. So, I got Bells 1.5 months ago. I had really bad pain on both sides behind my ear and thought I'd sleep it off and went to bed. Over the next day it progressed and the left side of my face dropped. I got in to see the doctor that day. I was given an anti viral and heavy dose of steroids for 10 days. The first few weeks were brutal with a heavy amount of fatigue, malaise feeling, a bit dizziness/disorientation and issues with sound. Stiff neck muscle pain and cramping and regular symptoms. All I wanted to do is lay on the couch or bed. I had another bit of pain behind the ear a few days in. The doc said that I had a mild case but it didn't really feel super mild. I got slightly worse over the next couple days and I couldn't close my eye and all the other regular symptoms.
I had a return of facial symmetry at about 3 or 4 weeks. People can't tell when they see me unless I make expressions or talk. The dizziness has subsided and I can handle noise now. My eye waters way less but still does a little. I had a bad annoying mumble which has started to clear up to where I can talk on a phone call and people can't really tell unless I am making a lot of "P" sounds. My eye can close 100% sometimes but often it's at an annoying 80-90%. I can't smile or move my eyebrow at all. I do seem to get a cold sort of tingling in my upper lip area and around the corner of my mouth with a very subtle twitch in my cheek. I can't tell if I'm fabricating these feelings or not? Eating seems to be somewhat better and I can drink through a straw now almost normally and pucker well enough to almost make a lame whistle. I'm past the 21 days everyone seems to talk about... but I still can't move my brow or smile. Any thoughts on how you can tell the severity of the issue?

I used to be outgoing, funny, excitable, dynamic, interesting, loving, warm, generous. Now I’m none of those things, I feel like I’ve turned into a stone statue. I feel nothing. I am nothing.
I had a strong sense of self, and awareness that was consistent through my whole life. I had complex thoughts, plans and expectations for myself. I had goals, ambitions and self awareness. I had hobbies and enjoyed hiking, going to the beach, making travel plans.
I don’t know who or what I am anymore. I have none of those attributes. I don’t identify with that person anymore, my name doesn’t feel like mine, my age, where I’m from, what I do for work, what my hobbies are, where I’m going in life. It’s all erased. My mind is nothing but music 24/7 and thinking about this 24/7. I’ve lost the things that made me, me. Who am I now? a cold, anxious, obsessive, scared, numb, trapped person. I relate to none of those qualities of who I was anymore.
I can’t get out of my head. I feel trapped. I swear I have like the worst case of this, one that has me imprisoned. I see so many people say they’ve gone months without thinking of it, how?!! It’s literally made me a different person, a person who has no agency or control over their life. A person who doesn’t even recognize their reflection. A person who is afraid of their own thoughts and reality.
I can’t believe I live in this nightmare. It’s like one i can’t wait up from. Nothing has helped, I’m losing my mind. This is not anxiety, this is pure brain meltdown. My sense of self is gone. My sense of reality is gone. Not thinking about DPDR isn’t going to change that I’m emotionally numb to my core and I can’t even cry, scream, yell, get angry. I’m bottled up with no way out. In 2 years I haven’t felt myself for one second. I know very clearly how my life used to be, feel, experience. Everyone else is living their lives, they’re alive and they know who they are. This is the most cruel and inhumane thing that can happen to someone, and there’s no end in sight. My brain won’t even believe recovery stories. It negates everything I try to take in. How can I learn or grow when my mind is cut off, I can’t think rationally, I don’t believe or trust anything.
I can’t believe this is my life. I was the happiest I’d ever been before this. This is a prison, hell, a nightmare. Nothing makes sense to me anymore, not even the world around me. I don’t know what to do.
