I recently rented a garage to a neighbor. It is in a communal area and I live in (own) one of the flats next to it. He sent an angry message listing problems with it and saying there's no way anyone will pay for it and returned the keys.
Recently I found the door left open with the lock and door undamaged. I closed it, thinking I might have accidentally left it unlocked, but came back to it open the next day.
I replaced the lock and it continued to happen, but only when this guy's van is here. I have checked that it's locked, watched him go out to his van, and found the lock opened again. He has even seemingly drilled a bolt into the door so it is stuck shut, but opened the lock again.
I think I might know the answer already, but is there anything I can do? I don't see an obvious place to put a camera, and it would need to be in other people's parking spaces, so likely picked up.

I upgraded from an iPhone XR to an iPhone 12 about a week ago. I transferred the watch to my new phone and have it unpaired from the old. I seem to be receiving Health data to my new phone now, but Autosleep and StressWatch are no longer recording any data at all. These were my favorite features. Does anyone have some advice? I believe my watch is an XR gen 3.

Do you ever have childhood nightmares or dreams? As for me, at a very young age, I always got nightmares whenever we watched something scary or even just a mention of ghosts. Where I grew up in the Philippines, there was this fantasy show that we watched as kids. Thinking about it now, it's kind of creepy. Whether it was about fairies or friendly ghosts, I still got creeped out and had nightmares about it. There was this nightmare of mine that traumatized me as a kid. You don't really remember your dreams until you're eating breakfast and it suddenly hits you that you had a nightmare before waking up. It's about this island. Imagine the town/island where the Teletubbies are. That one, but imagine it with brown grass instead of green, complete darkness instead of the baby sun, and instead of open space, it's filled with creepy trees. All I remember is running towards that forest and something chasing me. I couldn't look back and kept running. I could feel the trees snitching on my location until I stumbled over a big root of a massive tree.
There's a scratch on my knee and I can feel it sting. With my petite body and out-of-breath lungs, all I did was stare at my bleeding knees. I wasn't crying, but I know I was scared. *Dum...dum...dum.* I could hear it, not in my ears but in my heart. It seems like my heart is synchronizing to the vibration. I still don't know what's out there, but I know I should be running away from it. I saw a silhouette walking towards me slowly. It's big, but not giant big. I close my eyes and then suddenly I am awake, lying down straight like a person in a coffin.
I never talked to anyone about my nightmares. It's normal to have nightmares, but the people around me are saying that it's not normal for a kid to sleep straight like a dead body. I never really took it seriously. I kept having weird nightmares of running in a dark place again. I still don't know who's chasing me. When you are a kid, you have very vivid memories of what your childhood was like. Mine is filled with nightmares. I did still enjoy my childhood and yet still able to be a 'normal' kid. I had plenty of friends, played in the street, and did such fun things. I still feel like something is missing and I tend to mix up memories with dreams. When you are a kid, you have such wild imaginations that you think it is real, but once you turn into an adult, you think that it's impossible for that to happen in the real world. That is just one of the nightmares that stuck in my head and that something I still dream about.
I remember having this dream, or perhaps something happened? Until now, it still confuses me, but here's how it goes. I was playing with my cousins and some of our friends. It was in the middle of the night, maybe 8 or 9 PM? I know it was dark, with streetlights shining through the street. Living in the busiest city in the Philippines, you would still see a bunch of people outside. We were playing hide and seek. I was thankful that I was not 'it' this time. As the seeker counted to 10, we all spread around and found a place to hide.
I decided to hide behind a motorized tricycle, as we simply call them tricycles (just Google what it looks like). One of my friends came with me, but I told her to go away as I didn’t want to get found. She ran off and found another place to hide. I was chuckling, and I could still hear people around me talking and laughing, but in my mind, I just didn’t want to get caught.
I didn’t hide far away from where the seeker was; I could still hear him counting 'and… 10.' Suddenly, everything went quiet. I was quiet too, as I didn’t want him to find me first. I crouched back behind the motorized tricycle, and I could hear him walking far away from me. I sighed with relief. I heard that he found someone far away, as I heard one of my cousins scream in excitement because the seeker found her.
I chuckled.
I didn’t hear any footsteps, but I could see a shadow coming towards me as the tricycle was parked just below a lamppost. I slowly moved around to avoid being found, circling slowly and getting into the rhythm of the shadow. Now, there was a gap inside the motorcycle where I could see the other side. I slowly looked through the gap and, to my surprise, saw a figure looking at me. I got startled, but I didn’t scream. I stood up right away, and to my surprise, I was back there again, on that island.
The tricycle that was in front of me became a tree. Not just a tree, but a tree with massive roots that made me stumble in my previous dream. I was confused. Even now, as I think of it, I know it’s not a dream, but it's getting weirder. My first thought was 'Where are my friends?' The figure I saw earlier was gone. I got out from behind that tree and searched around the forest for an exit. As I was running, I could hear mumbling sounds. I was a kid, and my brain was controlling this stuff, so I went and followed the sounds. One sound seemed familiar—it was my friend's voice—but it seemed like something was stuck in her mouth; it was echoing through the forest.
As the sounds became clearer, my eyes couldn’t believe what I saw. My friends and cousins were tied to the trees, their mouths covered with tape. In my mind, I had to get out of there because I was scared as hell, but at the same time, I wanted to help them. I ran to my cousin first, and as I was going near her, a figure appeared behind her tree. It had eight hands like a spider, but it was brown and shaped like a cockroach. It had a face like a human—technically an image of a human in a cockroach-spider-looking costume. His or her face had makeup that blended with what it was wearing, and it was smiling towards me; I could see its yellow teeth.
"We've looked everywhere for you," it said while slowly coming towards me.
I couldn’t speak or move. I was so scared. I wanted to cry, but I couldn't.
"Now we can start the game," it said in the friendliest way possible. "I won't hurt you or your friends. I just want to play," it added.
Being raised to be nice to everyone, I nodded. I still wasn't speaking.
"Can I get a hug?" it requested.
I nodded again.
It hugged me, and I could feel all of its legs on my body. The thing I thought was its costume? It was actually connected to it. It was warm, and I just closed my eyes. I touched one of its legs, and it felt sticky. Suddenly, I woke up and saw my grandma's husband staring at me, telling me to wake up as it's time for school, and then he left. I saw my left palm was kind of sticky, sweat, I guess.
That's all I can remember from that time. I went to school and lived the rest of the day as a "normal" kid, still thinking about that nightmare. Some of my dreams are not all nightmares; they are happy dreams too. But what's stuck with me is that every time I have a nightmare, it's basically a continuation of the other, but it only happens once I completely forget about it.
Later that same year, I dreamt about it again, but differently. I had already made friends with this creature. It seems that I completely accepted it, and I was not scared of it anymore, but I was not happy either. There was something about it that still seemed odd to me, but I was just not reacting to any of it. We would play tag, hide and seek, and other games. As I noticed the place getting darker and darker, I also noticed that a few of my friends who were in my dreams were getting fewer and fewer until it was just us. It still kept its attitude, lively and happy to play with me. I asked it, "Aren't you sad?" It just kept smiling for a good 5 seconds and slowly frowned, answering, "Why would I? You are all I need as a friend." Then it started jumping around like those mascots you see in kids' TV shows. I remained the same, not happy, not sad, but I went with its flow.
I also noticed that before I woke up, it hugged me, like saying goodbye and at the same time inviting me to see each other again. There was something about its hug too. I could feel the warmth of its eight legs covering my whole body and its breath around my neck. In my dreams, I kept touching at least one of its legs. It seemed that it became a habit, and I could feel it sticky. I woke up again in a straight laying-down position, and my hands were drying, but I could feel the wetness. Then my grandma's new husband was ready to take me to school again.
When I was 9, my mom decided that my siblings, my dad, and I would move to my mom’s side for 3 years before leaving the Philippines. It was my dad's side where I kept having nightmares. I don’t get those nightmares anymore. Sometimes I miss them, and sometimes I wonder if they miss me too. I stopped looking for them. I feel like they went away when I started going to church with my strictly Catholic grandmother. We had to wake up at 6 am to prepare for church, and every day for those 3 years, we had to pray at 7 pm for an hour. We knelt in front of the saints' statues, and my belief in God strengthened. I forgot about the nightmares. I lived like a normal child, had a great childhood, had a bunch of friends, and grew up to be a decent girl. My mom announced that we were all leaving for Canada, and I just remember being so excited about it.
I was 11 years old when I and my friends were playing outside my house. I know I was still a kid then, even if my grandma keeps telling me to stop playing as I am already a grown woman (culture things). Our neighbour's are like aunts and uncles to us; I play with their kids sometimes who're the same age as me. We are all close to each other, even the adults. They treat us as their own since my mom grew up with them as well. One of my neighbors, whom I called “Tito” (uncle in Tagalog), called me and asked me when we were leaving for the Philippines. I told him soon, and he told me how I looked like my mom. I told him how much I miss my mom and how I cannot wait to see her again. He gave me a hug, and then my world stopped. This hug looks familiar. I can feel his breathing around my neck and the warmth of his hug. His hands are playing on my back, slowly stroking it. I swallowed and told him that I had to go since my grandma was probably looking for me. He let go and smiled at me. I just felt tears running through my eyes, and everything came back.
I was SA when I was a kid. I was SA by my step grandfather at my dad’s side. I feel like throwing up, and I can feel everything crawling toward me. I remember the first time he did it. When my mom left, he started touching me. As a kid, I treated him as a monster and just created these scenarios in my head. Even my childhood friends saw it, but since we were kids at the time, what would they know? It was inside the motorized trycicle where he was touching all over, but he said that we were just playing hide and seek and that he found me. It was then that I was so ashamed to play with my friends, as I remember one of my cousins stopping coming over because he started touching her too. The place is my dark place. Now I remember everything. I was so mad and angry. I remember that I would wake up in those positions after he touched me and felt my whole body. And remember the sticky thing in my hands? Yeah, it was his semen that he wiped away before I got to sleep, which is why whenever I am about to wake up, he is almost always there.
Now that I am in my 20s, I have tried to move on, yet the trauma still lingers within me. That monster died a few years ago, and his last words to me were, “Do you still remember me?”. I never had a chance to confront him. I opened up about my experience to a couple of my friends and gave advice to those who have experienced it too. I help those friends of mine who are still experiencing it and assist them in getting out of that situation. My only regret is that I was too afraid. I used to blame myself, but not anymore. None of it is my fault; I was just a child. I was not strong enough to keep my peace, still thinking that it is all a dream for the sake of my peace of mind. I wanted to apologize to the kid in me for not protecting her during those times, but I will never let that happen again to anyone that I know of. I now live in Canada, working in an office and happily thinking that my monster’s body is burning in hell. Thank you for reading. Please always watch out for whoever is watching your kids, your younger siblings, as you never know even the very person you trust can do massive damage to your loved ones.

I’m going to try and keep this short. When I was in secondary school (high school) I had a frenemy, who basically forced her friendship onto me from the ages 12-14 until she decided to bully me until I left around 17.
She was a ‘thicker’ (overweight) brunette white girl, who over compensated with a loud fake bubbly personality due to being facially challenged. I’ve always been very reserved, academically-focused so the opposite of her. She expected me to become some sort of cheerleader for her, and in turn made my life hell when I didn’t.
She only dated black men, or perhaps they were the only men that have her attention. The very last interaction I had with her, was when she laughed about me being taken on a cinema date with a guy I was seeing at the time. Perhaps she was used to getting wined and dined by trappers that had dirt under their fingernails and weed breath idk 🤷🏽‍♀️.
I saw her by her a local high street in my home town, while I was visiting a friend. She recognised me instantly. All I can say that life has not been good to her. Pushing a double pram with two mixed sons, and another two lugging behind her. She was also carrying a lot of bags, cellulite jiggling in her very see through leggings and her top that was 2x too small for her didn’t hide her poorly done tramp stamp. She became a statistic, single mother to multiple different absent fathers & unemployed.
I gave her the biggest smile as she looked everywhere but in my direction. One thing about them tables, they’re gonna turn baby ☝🏾.

I've read a lot of these posts, but I've never made one before, I'm sorry for formatting. Names changed for anonymity.
I (21f) and my mom (50f) have a weird relationship, as do my sisters (26f) and (19f). This post is mainly about me, Sis (19f), and Mom.
A little background: I love my mom, but she's a little crazy. A hardcore Christian who thinks the rapture is near, that yoga opens you to demons, and a bunch of outlandish things. She also has a hard time taking accountability. Most of her apologizes are not real apologies and lack accountability. I.E 'I'm sorry you felt that way... I was young and thought I knew everything too... I'm sorry you think I'm a terrible mother...etc' None of us have ever called her a bad mom, she raised all of us alone and wasn't around a lot because she was working two jobs. I recognize that struggle, I appreciate it everyday because I am who I am because of it, but it doesn't give her a free pass to act the way she does.
Now onto the main issue: Mom enjoys 21+ drinks a little more than most people do, but I don't know if I'd classify her as an alcoholic. She's not getting drunk EVERY day, but it's enough that we've (me and Sis) have noticed an uptick in the number of drinks and the amount of days that she drinks. Sis, doesn't live at home anymore, but I do now since school is out for the summer. When my older sister, we'll call her L, was visiting the weekend before last, Mom got drunk at home. We went out to dinner the following night and she got drunk again. And again the next night. When Mom drinks, she gets loud, doesn't know what personal space is, and doesn't really have a filter, and I know that happens with most people. But this is like turned up to a hundred for Mom.
All three of us (me, Sis, and L) were annoyed, but L ignored it, I tried to keep Mom calm, and Sis was more vocal. When dinner ended we went back to Sis's house and played with the cats, but I'm allergic and hadn't take any allergy medicine, so we had to leave shortly after getting some group pics. When me and L got back to Mom's, we had to pour her into bed, which is normally a job left to me. Convince Mom to not sleep in her jeans, get her water with ice, and make sure the fan is on in her room so she can sleep well. Mom also likes to get up and then lay back down a couple times until she's finally out. L and I went to bed after going through old family pictures and keepsakes.
After L left back for her home in a different state the Monday morning after "the drunk weekend", so it was just me and Mom in the house. Well Monday night mom went to her friend's house and I was home just watching TV when she came in at around 10:00 pm. I came down to the kitchen, where she was unloading the dishwasher and asked her how her night was. She was slurring her words a little bit, so I figured she was just a little tired cause drunk driving was not my first assumption. It should've been.
The conversation as follows: Me: "Are you drunk?!" Mom: "Duh." Me: "Please tell me you're joking." Mom: "No, but I waited until I wasn't REALLY drunk."
We then got into a screaming match, mostly me yelling at her and I did call her stupid, which I feel a little guilty about. Not enough to feel THAT bad though. After I'd said my piece, I went up to my room and locked the door because I know Mom's MO from previous fights. You think it's done, but five minutes later she'll open the door and start arguing again. Which is exactly what she tried to do. She told me to unlock the door but I refused, so she yelled through the door. She tried to make herself into the victim and said she knows that we all (me and sisters) hate her, think that she's a disappointment, and so on and so forth. (I took a video in case she tried to come in.)
When I tried to talk to her through the door, I didn't get an answer and went to her room to find her lying down in the dark. I reiterated that what she did was stupid, that she could've killed someone or even herself. I told her that if she ever did it again, I'd call the police myself. Then I asked her why she didn't call me. She said she didn't want her friend to be right, that she was gonna need me to pick her up. I got even more angry and texted my sisters. I didn't send them the video, but I did send it to my best friend.
That's where I might've messed up. I know Sis, she holds grudges worse than any of us. But I was so angry and felt like they had the right to know.
Well, Mother's Day rolled around, L FaceTimed Mom, I was home, so I gave her the gift I'd gotten her. Sis never contacted Mom and I guessed the drunk driving incident had something to do with it. Mom kept contacting Sis even after I told her not to, because Sis is also the type that needs to cool down before she comes around. I felt guilty because I knew that what I told them was probably what caused this whole mess.
This morning, my mom came into my room sobbing and woke me up by yelling "You told Sis! That's why she isn't talking to me!"
I said I was sorry, that I didn't mean to cause trouble, but they had the right to know. She was close to hyperventilating, so I told her to sit down and breathe. I looked at the messages and Mom has been texting and calling Sis for three days straight multiple times a day. Which is what I told her NOT to do. Nowhere in the messages did Sis say she she was no longer speaking to Mom, all she said is she is changing her number and she will call her when shes ready. I wont be giving Sis's new number to Mom, nor will I be defending Mom's actions to her. But I feel like a major AH because if I hadn't texted my sisters, everything would be fine.
I don't know what to do or how to fix this, and I can't be the reason Mom loses contact with Sis. That guilt will eat me alive. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you

I would love any advice from parents who have been in a similar boat to us (I work part time but till now my mom has watched my 2.5 year old daughter while I work. I stay at nana's while I work remotely, so am always available for cuddling or nursing. Recently, mom expressed she was getting overwhelmed, so we found a part time daycare.)
My daughter started attending daycare a couple weeks ago (she goes twice a week from 8-12:30 both days). She started out confident and excited about the playground and kids--she didn't even want to hug me goodbye the first day! But now going into week 3, she seems to really be missing me/home.
We chatted with the teacher yesterday and she mentioned our daughter is good at expressing how she's feeling ("ready for mommy") and asking for a hug because she's sad--and that this is happening about every 30 minutes! This morning as we were getting her ready to go, she started to cry heavily about not wanting to go to school, and as we buckled her into her carseat, she was sobbing so hard that she threw up her breakfast all over her shirt/seat. At this point, I was tearing up too, and I just took her out and said we'd stay home together.
I am wondering if anyone has tips for easing this separation? Thank you in advance!

I will be asked to speak for two minutes on the (M)IOTC.
This is what I plan on answering with, can anyone spot if I’ve missed anything?
The Modular Initial Officer Training Course is 24 weeks long. It takes place at RAF Cranwell and is undertaken by all Officer candidates before going on to their respective specialist training or trade. The course is split in to 4 6 week modules.
Weeks 1-6 The first module adjusts candidates from civilian to military life, and teaches the ‘basic skills’. These include foot drill, military disciple, weapons training, first aid, and the core values of the RAF. Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence. This section teaches candidates how to soldier.
Weeks 7-12 Here candidates are taught development of leadership skills and techniques. Mix of classroom work and exercises to test the leadership skills we are trying to develop. Candidates undertake Exercise Eagles Edge, sees cadets lead a team through a set of team based field scenarios based in a fictitious airfield, conducting reconnaissance missions, support host nato forces and respons to conventional threats. This Tests command and leadership abilities learned through training.
Weeks 13-18 This broadly continues the work of 7-12 but more organisational that team based. The Exercise Commanders Edge involves being in a control centre and tests cadets ability to react to large amounts of incoming information.
Weeks 19-24 Consolidation module, where everything is brought together. The first four weeks include three lots of week long exercises, followed by a final week of academic assessments in Air and Space Power and General Service Knowledge for Officers. The final two weeks of this module is called the Transition and Graduation Phase. There may be some last minute interventions with the aim of supporting new officers in their next appointments.
Finally there is the Graduation Parade, which friends and family come to watch. That evening there is the graduation ball, and at midnight the ceremony that marks the transition to Officer takes place.

Hey there, so a little over a year ago or more, my friends, let's call them Jennifer (25F) and stevie (30F) started dating secretly without me knowing. Now for some context, Stevie already has a boyfriend, let's call him Joe (30M) that have been dating for a very long time, at least over 10 years or more and also live together. Me and Jennifer are irl friends and we are online friends with stevie and Joe.
For the first couple of years of knowing each other, I have noticed here and there that Jennifer has been quite flirty with stevie on calls and was always pretty close with her. Stevie has known for a while that jennifer has had a crush on her and wanted to date her but has a boyfriend already so didn't want to date until she left Joe.
One day, stevie told me whilst on a call alone that Jennifer was thinking about pretending to "date" an old friend of ours, well call him Tom (27M) whom she has dated before but left him as she realised she doesn't like men romantically) for money stability as she didn't have a job at the time and was just gonna date him for his money.

I will always be the one reaching out to them, they'd be playing games without me a lot more and calling eachother instead of the group chat. Like we'd play games together and talk to each other a lot. Don't get me wrong, I understand that they'll probably just want to hang out together by themselves and that's completely fine, it's just so strange that we even went a whole week without talking until I reached out to them.

Just wanted to post some highlights and stats from the recent conference regarding GLP-1 meds etc. This is general information - most supported by current clinical trials. I cannot verify any of the information as I am not the author. I went to a conference and found a lot of interesting stats so I jotted them down: These include Q & A pages for Dr's to give out to potential patients of zepbound etc. answering potential questions.
Note: Some of these are based on different versions of the meds because it wasn't a conference focused soley on Zepbound. But it gives overall information.
· Usually cause muscle loss with all current meds.
· Eli Lilly and Novo are both trying to figure out oral versions of the medications.
· There is currently a class action lawsuit by roughly 60 ppl regarding GI complications as a result of the medications. (Philadelphia)

Zepbound D/C Weight regain study:
473 women, 197 men. Mean age 48 years. Over 70 medical centers in 4 countries
335 received Zepbound, 335 Placebo - Primary outcome is that the mean percent change in weight from weeks 36 to 88.
At week 36 weight reduction was 20.9%
Findings:
At 88 weeks Zepbound loss – 89.5% of participants with Zebound at 88 weeks maintained at least 80% of the weight loss compared with 16.6% placebo.

๏ No, as there is a current shortage of these drugs. The FDA allows to compound equivalent medications in cases of storage.(* Not legal advice, see a professional if legal opinion is needed).

When you first start Ozempic, you’ll inject a low dose for the first 4 weeks to help your body get used to the medication. This dose isn’t meant to have a significant effect on your blood glucose (sugar) levels. But some people may start to see some improvements during this time. ๏ It takes about 4 to 5 weeks to reach a steady level of Ozempic in your system. Full effects may not be seen until at least 8 weeks of treatment. If after 2-3 months your A1C isn’t at the target, your provider may increase the dose

What can I expect after I stop taking GLP‐1/GIP RA ? ๏

Most people will regain some or all weight they lost. However, cardiovascular benefits are more durable. ๏

Should I stop Ozempic and other long‐acting GLP‐1/GIP RA before surgery? ๏

Specifically for Ozempic the recommendation is to stop at least 1 week prior to a planned surgery.

๏ How long should I wait after the last dose if I am trying to conceive?

๏ If you want to become pregnant, you may need to stop taking Ozempic at least 2 months before trying to conceive so it is fully excreted. ๏

Can I flush Ozempic or other long‐acting GLP‐1/GIP RA from my body?

๏ No. And if side-effects are affecting you, you cannot remove these medications by “detox”, laxatives or hydration. ๏

Do GLP‐1/GIP RA cause termination of pregnancy or birth defects? ๏

These drugs have NOT been studied extensively during pregnancy in humans, so the potential risks aren’t fully known. But animal studies have shown a higher risk of pregnancy loss and birth defects with some of the GLP-1 drugs. ๏

Do GLP‐1/GIP RA cause depression and/or psychosis? ๏

While prescrbing information for some of these drugs mentions such side effects, they are rare and causal connection has not been established. Warnings about suicidal ideation are included in prescribing information for Saxenda and Wegovy. ๏


Can GLP‐1/GIP RA interfere with oral contrceptives? ๏

Prescribing information for Mounjaro warns that it may reduce the efficacy of oral hormonal contraceptives. Advise patients using oral hormonal contraceptives to switch to a non-oral contraceptive method, or add a barrier method of contraception for 4 weeks after initiation and for 4 weeks after each dose escalation with MOUNJARO. No such warning is provided for Ozempic/Wegovy and Saxenda ๏

I (17F) decided that I would move across the state to live with my mother. A little background story is I used to live with my dad, stepmum, boyfriend and my two brothers. My boyfriend came to live with us about 3 months ago because my parents said he should as he had gotten kicked out of an abusive household. Last year I quit CrossFit after doing it for about four years. I love working out with that amount of dedication and intensity but it got to be too hard on my body. I’m certainly not a professional athlete, I just workout and go to the gym recreationally. I’d say for the average person that I’m definitely fit, but I’m not a professional athlete. In CrossFit I’ve always favored bodyweight movements and I would say I’m very spatially aware of my body and how to move effectively in it. I learn new movements quickly and efficiently. In the last two years I’ve made leaps and bounds with my fitness and am proud to say I’m sitting at 150 pounds and 20 pbf as a 26YF. I feel pretty proud of that for someone who isn’t training at a professional level. As a kid and tween I was on the swim team, then I joined a local rowing team, and in college I discovered CrossFit.
Flash forward to now and I’m feeling a little disillusioned with CrossFit and those types of high intensity/HIIT workouts. Still love weightlifting. Don’t get me wrong, I feel like I can push through pretty much any kind of pain 😂the sports I’ve done have taught me how to not quit. BUT…I need a goal!! Finally, enter the triathlon idea…
I love imagining having something to work towards! And something my friends & family can come watch and support me through. That being said, it’s been a long time since I’ve swam and I’ve never trained for something like this before. Any pointers?? My main concerns are as follows:

1. Nutrition Any diehard nutrition fanatics out there? My biggest physical transformation came when I was eating 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight. I lost about 12 pounds and 10 pbf. I was weighing and charting every meal and tracking my macros. Good for learning but ultimately not sustainable for me. Too triggering on the food front. So now I try to just be mindful about my protein intake and make sure I’m eating enough carbs. Should I be eating more/less protein or carbs when gearing towards more aerobic exercises?
   
2. Body composition This one is a little silly and purely my ego talking. Basically, I love the way my body currently looks and I’m proud to know that people KNOW I workout just by looking at me. It makes me feel like a badass and it’s one of the few things I’m proud of when it comes to my physical appearance. Obviously I won’t lose fitness if I’m training as a triathlete, but I am nervous I’ll lose muscle mass. Words of encouragement? 😂
   
3. Finally: Just wanting to get some feedback on overall experiences either as a triathlete or people who’ve done triathlons before. Do you feel like you have a good workout/life balance? What are your favorite types of movements/activities that you think have been directly improved because of your triathlete fitness?

Men of reddit, is this a common occurrence? Do you forget your spouse's birthday? Do you forget mother's day? My last birthday, I was reduced to tears because he yelled at me for being upset over being forgotten (no verbal happy birthday, card, plans, cake, let alone a gift), citing he was too busy working to remember, and the house doesn't pay for itself.
After communicating to my husband for three years in a row about how hurtful it is to be forgotten about on these two occasions, in comes 2024 and what happens? The same thing every year - nothing! So then I write a message again about how it's hurtful and I'm met with silence this time...
No response, no "I'm sorry, I should have done better especially after what happened last year." Literally complete ignorance, almost to the point of him being angry at me for bringing it up.
I went in search of similar stories to ease the woes and found a few stories, but also many others that did not match my experiences. So here is my question and I'm sorry it probably sounds awful, but is this lack of remembering a male thing or is it a shitty husband thing?

First off, a huge thank you to this sub — I've been lurking here for a while and found it so helpful to read about other people's experiences.
Basically, I had a very close ufwBPD who I've had issues with for the past few years. I kept telling myself the problem was me, that I was simply a bad communicator. But through talking to my other friends, and watching this friend have similarly explosive conflicts with her other friends, coworkers, and every romantic interest, I learned the issue was definitely her, not me. One of my friends even said her behavior resembled BPD, which is how I ended up here.
Aside from the conflicts we'd have, I also realized she was kind of a crap friend: she didn't show much interest in my life, but demanded a lot of my time helping her navigate various dramas. I emotionally invested so much in this relationship, but in the end felt like I was just a name in a Rolodex of people she'd text in case of emergency (which was every day).
I had quietly set some boundaries (I stopped texting first or initiating calls, and I turned down going on multiple trips), but she still contacted me all the time. I felt stuck and partly stayed around because I felt bad for this friend. But the final straw was when I gently raised a concern and she (within seconds) initiated a breakup over text. It made me feel so worthless and angry, but I calmly agreed that it was a good idea and blocked her everywhere (thanks to the advice of this group!) I've felt so much more focused and happy since and regret not doing it sooner.
Since then, she's contacted people within my circle and continually emailed me (it goes to spam and I just checked the other day). None of it makes sense — she's cycled from blaming me for forcing her to break up with me to now acting like I broke up with her.
So, my question: I know the general advice is to go NC and that's where I'm leaning, but part of me also feels like she doesn't really get this is permanent because it's very unexpected from me — I was a much bigger pushover until now. It makes me feel like she won't stop bugging me or that things will escalate when I least expect them to. Do you think I should write a short but direct email explaining that it's really over, or just continue doing what I'm doing? Any advice is appreciated!

13. Anything else you notice: so far everything's okay. Just the #6 stick? very very slightly leaning to the right?
