I just watched the last episode and I'm crying like a baby. This show means so much to me, it's realistic, highly relatable and always teaches me something, gives me strength to move on!
I've found myself relating to all the characters from time to time, especially with Carrie.. Sadly I had a "Big" in my life too, only platonic but still messed up.
I totally understand how it feels to move in a foreign country for love but then to only realize how lonely it actually is, when your partner is older than you , always busy with no time for you, already went through "marriage" and parenthood.. I was just a single gal, younger and in need for love and attention, for fairytale cheesy romance..
Big sacrifices can be heavy on the soul, and i cried happy tears with how her story ended in the series even tho Big is a big baby...for me though, they are just meant for each other. Human relationships are never perfect anyway.
So yea, I LOVE sex and the city, these 4 gals have a special place in my heart.

I'm 15,000 hours deep on dayz, a lot of that on official on console, moved to PC about a year ago, proper fan boy but I struggled to find a server on PC that really gives me that dayz buzz without the cheaters of official. You know, the thing we all fell in love with dayz for, the adrenaline, that knowledge that when you're playing a server with 1 other guy on it and you're still bricking it at Tisy while you find that one magazine you need.
I wanted a server that gave me that buzz, that kept me guessing, wasn't easy, didn't give me all the guns, the food, the armour on a plate and most importantly had the longevity. Vanilla for me is just too plain now, there's nothing to do on a quiet server when its too easy to get geared.
But, I think I have found the ONE. The best Vanilla+ server I've found is DAT (Day After Tomorrow) - it's not too old so the pop is still low but for anyone who is a proper dayz fan boy but wants a little extra, it's quality, the pop doesn't matter when there is always something to keep your attention, to find, to avoid, to shoot.
I've played loads on places like spaggies, zero, basically vanilla, northmens etc etc but none of them hit that mark - either because they're too vanilla and theres no longevity, or they have things like markers, traders, easy food, too many guns, too many types of clothing, ammo, armour or in game maps that make life too easy for the autorunners or just have skyscraper bases and stuff that is just too un-dayz, for me anyway.
The best parts about DAT is the AI, the grind, the underground proper secret squirrel bases and the tiered loot system that doesn't give you everything on a plate, literally took 5 days of solid looting to find the materials to build my tier 1 base, quality stuff and I still have not seen at least 50% of the guns, armour and attachments I know exist - somewhere.
The bad points are the pop being 2/3 during the weekdays, 5/6 in evenings and 8/10 at the weekends, and there are probably a few too many POI's but other than that, it is honestly the best Vanilla plus server I have ever played, it keeps you guessing, gives you things to go 'wow' at all the time and isn't easy to get the best stuff. I'm probably 100 hours in now, in a squad of 3 and haven't seen so many items, still find stuff we didn't know existed and still amazed by the AI, the work that's gone in and the way the admins actually listen to feedback and implement.
Hoping the pop will grow, but honestly even with a few people on, the random AI encounters and the fact the EVERYONE has to keep on their toes looting to grow means interaction is never far away.
FYI, I play the server but not affiliated in any way. Just want more people to know and play on a server that is trying to fill the big void between boring vanilla and the current batch of "vanilla+" servers that just lose that Dayz feel we all fell in love with.

I'm going nuts with this OneDrive story. Since my Uni offers 2TB on Onedrive, I wanted to upload all my family photos on Onedrive. Apparently I need a business version of Onedrive. The one I find everywhere doesn't work on my older Mac (Big Sur). Can someone help me? On my Windows PC I've had a reeeeally hard time installing Onedrive on my external SSD, keep geeting error after error. The browser version sucks ass. thanks!

I’ve been playing this game nonstop since the start of the beta and something is worrying me a lot. I am LOVING the game, but i dont really see how it can survive without a wipe system. Let me start by saying that me and my buddies have 1k+ hours each on tarkov, and the other day we were talking about how many QoL this game has over tarkov etc, and suddenly someone said ‘yes, but it has no wipe system’. It naturally came as a shock to us since we all know for a fact that if it wasnt for the wipe system, tarkov would’ve died a long time ago.
I think the great things about this type of game are the adrenaline rush and dopamine that we get from being afraid to die and lose everything, finding crazy and/or rare loot, etc. Once we are filthy rich and have all the gear we want/need the game becomes boring!
Yes i understand the mobile version is around for 1.5 years without a wipe, but that is an entirely different market, with entirely different needs and wishes. The PC community is REALLY not like the mobile (i hope they realize that). We have a LOT of great games to choose and i dont think we’ll stick to something that got ‘boring’.
It is a very well known fact that tarkov loses more and more active players the further into the wipe it goes, and when it wipes, most ppl AND new ppl are back online. That’s not my opinion, it’s a fact. So.. how Will this game survive without a wipe system? I really cant think of how and i am hoping that they move away from the no wipe system of the Mobile version.

I’ve worked abroad pre marriage/kids. This will be my first time bringing my husband (trailing spouse) and 2 small kids to SE Asia. Going to Kuala Lumpur. We are very excited- but also aware it’s not going to be an easy adjustment in the beginning.
Older kid is 4 years old, second kid is 10 months. Baby will be fine, mostly worried about my toddler. Any advice?
For starters, I know it’s not ideal to keep moving. In the past I usually stay at a school for 2-3 years. I would like to stay longer so we can make this new place a home.

With the new ChatGPT update, real-time results are free for everyone. This makes it act much more like a search engine, at least for certain queries. Of course there are no links provided, unless you ask…
I’ve been using it a good amount to search for things like local services or product recommendations, and it basically just pulls in all the biggest most well-known companies.
I foresee this being a big issue if some AI engine or chatbot overtakes traditional search. Don’t get me wrong, it is difficult to get visibility on traditional search as well as a non “giant” but not impossible, but these LLMs will make it extremely difficult for any small or new business to get recommended in the results if it ever takes over.
I think people will still use traditional search for things like local services for the foreseeable future as people want to see reviews images maps etc, but I’m just brainstorming the potential dangers of search via LLMs.

The last couple of months my nearly 2yo has become more and more fussy over his food. I did BLW, always offered a big variety of healthy, home cooked and non-processed food, didn’t hold back on the flavours, and until recently he would pretty blindly shove anything into his mouth and finish his plate.
He has slowly started rejecting most foods and now only eats bread, eggs (only scrambled), potatoes, broccoli, peas (hit and miss), pasta, hummus, fruit (most, so that’s a positive), snacks (breadsticks, baby crisps, crackers) and soup. He won’t eat any meat, he used to love chicken and fish.
He doesn’t have tantrums about it, he just leaves what he doesn’t want and asks for more of what he does want. If I don’t give him more he just says he’s done and gets up.
I’m really trying not to make any stress out of meal times, but I’m worried about him going hungry/eating the same food all the time, and also wasting good food (I’m skint, I hate putting food in the bin) Is this a phase? Do I just keep offering the other foods knowing he’s not going to eat it? I really don’t want to start hiding veggies/meat by blending into sauce etc Any advice much appreciated

we are planning our first 3 week trip to Japan in November. My first plan included lots of stops (2 nights each) between Tokyo and Kyushu but now i realize that this might be a bit "too much". We travel by train and i don´t want to be to much in a rush by not having enough time to enjoy each city and the surrounding.
I think about skipping Nagasaki, Kagoshima or Hiroshima completely from our plan and - instead - stay longer in other places. What are your thoughts and recommendations for these cities?
Our other stops are planned for:

• Karatsu: 2 nights (Karatsu Kunchi Festival)
• Kurokawa Onsen (2 nights)
• Takachiho Gorge (1 night)
• The rest of the days we want to spend in Kyoto/Osaka/Tokyo area.

Hi all. I've been trying to lose weight for a period of time now, I was doing pretty good with going to the gym and eating healthy but lately I've been slacking a bit so I've been seeing the pounds go back up. I finally that I honestly don't have a big appetite and I could easily eat a maximum of 1200 calories a day. My fiance and I get five meals a week from HelloFresh, so I have been going to the gym every morning, coming home and drinking a protein shake and then having the hello fresh meal for dinner. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with calories deficit dieting? Thank you.

A long time friend of mine seems to have a big crush on me and I really don’t feel the same way. He asked me out a while ago and I declined, but said I’d like to hangout as friends. I’ve kinda sensed that he likes me for almost 2 years now but have NEVER entertained it. I’m starting to rethink whether I’ve been unconsciously leading him on? I turned down his last few requests to hangout because it just seems like we still have different ideas as to what our relationship/dynamic is exactly.
About a week ago, he asked if we could hangout before he travels for the summer. It was less of a question and more of a statement; “I wanna see you before I travel, let’s do something”. I said sure since I had already canceled plans a couple times prior & also felt slightly pressured to say yes due to the way he asked. But now I’m seriously reconsidering it. We planned to meet at the end of this month but he’s followed up on our plans at LEAST 3 times since he first asked. He seems really eager to see me and his hangout ideas are all date-adjacent, for lack of a better word.
I want to cancel, but I don’t want to give a shitty excuse. I really want to straight up tell him how I feel, but I’m not sure how to go about it without offending him. I would’ve thought he’d read the room by now but I guess not.

Before we start, we have to exclude genetics and eating disorders. Some people are just born big/skinny bc their family is. Some people have real diagnoses which prevent them from gaining/losing weight. Lets exclude "time" for the sake of the argument bc they will hurt/benefit both sides. Losing weight no time to exercise/cook the food. Gaining weight no time to find/cook the food and no time to be stagnant to burn less calories.
This discussion is only talking self-discipline, motivation and free will.
That being said, losing weight. Exercising/ working out and just simply "moving" is free. We move all the time, just do it more. Volume eating is a good start. You can still enjoy a majority of your foods, just eat less of it and eat more "low-caloric" foods. I dont understand how its more difficult to lose weight when you are at a caloric deficit and burning calories. It take less energy to eat less.
Gaining weight is more difficult bc it takes more energy to eat. You have to find "high caloric" foods. Not all high-caloric foods are built the same. We all know fast-food chain restaurants are unhealthy so those aren't an option. Im talking about the high-caloric "healthy" foods which are more expensive than unhealthy foods. Also being in a caloric surplus while burning less energy is difficult bc we have to move, go to work, we are always moving/burning calories.
In addition, i live in the US. Standard American Diet (SAD). We are surrounded by unhealthy fast food which comes down to self- discipline. I understand its convenient but doesnt make it healthy.
In summary, losing weight is easier bc it takes less money to eat less and its free to move. Gaining weight is difficult bc it more money to buy more food and moving less makes you unproductive.

My partner and I have been living and working in New Zealand for the past 6ish months on temporary visas. While the boomers here aren’t quite as lead poisoned and aggressive as those in the states, they find their own ways of being awful.
While being here my partner has been shocked by the number of older women who will point out her outbreaks of eczema. Mostly they’re customers of the cafe she works at but they will give unsolicited treatment advice, tell her how pretty she’d look if she’d clear it up, etc. I was appalled when she told me this.
The other night, I witnessed one such encounter. We were on a trip to a small coastal town to get out of the city and decided to go grab some ciders and then get take out for dinner. We picked up a six pack and then went to a takeout place. We placed our order and paid while one of us was holding the ciders. The boomer woman behind the counter, who I assume is the owner, asked us if those were apple ciders. I expected normal small talk about beverages, but takes a hard turn when she says something to the effect of “that’s probably what’s causing all that on your face, it’s the acidity.” It caught us both off guard, luckily my partner spoke before I could and tried to passively end the conversation.
Since we’d already paid we then just awkwardly sat and waited for our food. The woman came back a couple of times saying “sorry to have been the bearer of bad news” as if she had done us some favor. The lack of self awareness was incredible. A big part of me wanted to put her in her place, but I couldn’t bring myself to disrespect a service worker. A negative review will have to do.
