Pharmacy work requires its own special laws and regulations and with it comes so many wonderful problems. How many times do you find yourself saying any of these: - Your insurance sets the price - That is your medical card, not your prescription card - Your prescription is expired ... Yes even though you still have refills If so this is the place to be!

2024.05.14 22:39 DrippyTess LiDAR and NFC issues

Firstly, I would like to give you a little backstory. I got an iPhone 13 Pro Max for repair. Firstly, it has a 3cm long "yellow burn" on the upper left side of the screen, because the phone got heat there for a short time, but everything works fine on it. The front speaker was working, but I had to replace it because it was deformated. The LiDAR sensor was not working, it does not give an error when I tested it with software, but the sensor output was nothing, it did not scan anything. So I decided to buy a programmable one to replace it. An other repairer used to replace the rear camera in the phone, so I decided to buy a Tag-On Flex to programme it as well. Also, the customer wanted me to replace the back glass, the flash, the wireless charging coil and the bluetooth antenna. I replaced them and I put the parts back together, but there are some remained issues.
The first problem is with the Camera module. I did everything, the programming process went well, but the LiDAR is still not working, it has the exact same issue. I tried to programme it again, and I also checked the coneectivity a lot of time, but I couldn't solve it yet. Also the Camera Message does not dissappear, but I guess it is because of the LiDAR sensor failure.
The second problem is that the Apple Pay does not work, after the repair, I can't scan a card or pay with it either(back then it was working).
All the feautes working fine execpt these ones. The flash, the wireless chaging and the bluetooth is working properly, also the camera is functioning as expected, but I can see the difference in focus time and precision.
What would solve these problems? Do you have any solutions? Also, is there any way to make the "yellow burn" dissapper or make it less visible? I tried to put a privacy screen protector on it, but it does not make much effect.
Thanks for your help!

2024.05.14 22:38 SolarDragon4114 Need help activating new phone

I just bought a new tracfone and want to activate it. At the website I clicked activate and told it give me a new number. Then I put in the zip code as requested. Then I put in the serial number on the red card and it shows the green check mark as if it is an accepted number. But when I hit continue to I don't go any further than the screen that I entered the serial number on. It acts like it needs an 18 digit serial code when the phone only came with a 15 digit serial code. I am totally confused on what to do next. I have no way of calling anyone

2024.05.14 22:38 Reasonable-Drink-172 Good explanation to what happenned in the lastgame and how it relativizes perception of individual performance

So this is a very good breakdown, however incomplete from the offensive point I think, on what went on in the last game. I had mentionned in the matchthread that there was something not working tactically, but that I was having difficulties putting my finger on it. This is it. Our press and gameplan was not working.
And a special attention to APO and Kaan's performance : this is why especially their performance seemed to not be enough, or Kaan being out of position. I think too often fans are prone to look at individual performance in a vacuum, based on *perception*, rather than being put in the context of the tactical gameplan. Kaan and APO were being asked by Okan to get out of position, coordinate with each other to redistribute their manmarking and zone defending each time and try to close down on the opponent player in the center having the role of link up. And then having to cover back a very great deal of space. Not only those are not the areas of strenght of APO and Kaan, but was especially very demanding of two players who are in their best form physically due to recent and ongoing injury.
And Okan did indeed not change his gameplan on the second despite the gameplan not working (in part because of Kaan's and APO's profiles not being adapted to the tactic he played). You could also look at it this way : his tactical gameplan might have been the right one, but he did not have the best profile as CB and RB to pull it off, yet still tried (and kept on trying). There is although one thing which I also, as in the video, have no explanation, whatsoever : it's why he didn't use Davinson instead. His profile would have been perfect for what he was asking of APO. I heard the theory of the yellow card, both Nelsson and Davinson being on the limit, or them not having played together, which is a totally valid concern, but after that first half, imo playing Davinson would have seemed more attractive from a risk reward perspective.
By the way, a lot of fans also did this about Demirbay's performance a few weeks ago against Alanya (I think?) saying that he was like a "ghost" on the field. But sometimes that's not related to Demirbay himself, the individual, but rather the way the opponent decides to play (for example overloading that space and especially targetting him to not allow him to link up the play).
PS. We really need a Kohn type (pacey and athletic) RB, ideally with better defense. Well, basically another Sacha...bring back SachašŸ˜†

2024.05.14 22:37 HRJafael Bike Month event in Greenfield looks at favorite cycling spots, room for improvement

https://archive.is/FHxDY
In celebration of Bay State Bike Month and in anticipation of a new Franklin County Regional Bike Plan, the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) welcomed cyclists to the John W. Olver Transit Center on Tuesday.
With refreshments, giveaways and informational displays, cyclists were able to share their thoughts on biking throughout Franklin County, which will be taken into consideration when the agency releases its Franklin County Regional Bike Plan in October. The previous iteration of the plan was released in 2009.
ā€œWeā€™re looking comprehensively at the region on how we can make it better for cycling and weā€™re looking for public input on things that would be helpful,ā€ said FRCOG Transportation Program Manager Beth Giannini, noting the plan looks at everything from infrastructure to cycling initiatives.
Transportation Planner Jack Carolan added that FRCOG is ā€œexploring the barriers to cycling.ā€
The agency also shared a look into some of the data it received in its cycling survey, which recently closed after receiving hundreds of responses. In the survey excerpts, 48.8% of respondents said the biggest issue preventing them from biking more often is they are ā€œuncomfortable biking in the streets with cars.ā€ Other barriers noted by respondents included inclement weather, lack of time to bike and other, general safety concerns.
The Canalside Rail Trail in Turners Falls was by far the most popular bikeway in the county, with more than 60% of respondents indicating they use it. The River Road loop from Deerfield to Sunderland and the Deerfield Upper-Lower roads loop served as the second and third most popular routes. Nearly all survey respondents said they bike for health or recreational purposes.
ā€œPeople are looking for ways to be healthier and not drive their cars so much,ā€ Giannini added.
While the survey is closed, the public is invited to provide more cycling feedback to FRCOG ahead of the anticipated October release of the Franklin County Regional Bike Plan.
Using the interactive map, folks can highlight specific areas where they have experienced issues or where they would like to see improvements. Areas with a high number of comments include Turners Falls Road in Greenfield, where people are asking for FRCOG to look at how to make the connector between Greenfield and Turners Falls safer, and downtown Greenfield, where people are requesting bike lanes to make the city more bicycle-friendly. Other areas with notes include South Deerfield and near the Sunderland Bridge.
Tuesdayā€™s breakfast served as one of many events celebrating Bay State Bike Month, which is designated by MassBike, a Boston-based nonprofit advocating ā€œstatewide for policies that encourage and support community wellness, equity and inclusion, enable sustainable growth, drive economic vitality and tackle climate change.ā€
Other Bike Month events in the Pioneer Valley include a community bike breakfast at Pulaski Park in Northampton on Wednesday morning, followed by a community ride at Pulaski Park on Thursday, May 16, at 6 p.m. and then a Bike Commuter Happy Hour at The Barb & Olive in Northampton on Friday, May 17, at 6 p.m. Friday also serves as Bike to Work Day.

2024.05.14 22:36 Some-Possibility2084 Friend of many, many years has dementia. I just canā€™t be available as much as they want.

I feel horrible. Long time friend told me a couple months ago they have dementia. They are on other side of country, visiting not an option. This was devastating news.
Previous to this, any phone conversation with them would last hours. It was hard to get them off. Now, itā€™s impossible. I feel like such an AH. I feel so selfish when their situation just blows.
First, they want to schedule regular times to talk. I just donā€™t have the luxury of that. I have a family. I take care of an aging parent who moved in with us. Work full time. Life pulls me in every direction. And my brother is going through an incredibly complicated situation that is also taking up any free time Iā€™d have.
They called again today now from a blocked number. I was at the store picking up socks and last minute items for the kids. It was my break from work. I said I would try and call them back. I asked if they were ā€œok.ā€ Like maybe something more emergent happened.
I get they are not ā€œok.ā€ But I was trying to assess if it is status quo stuff or true crisis right now stuff.
I havenā€™t had a chance to call them back. Had to bring one of my kids their cleats they forgot at home for practice. Then had a meeting. The problem is Iā€™ve tried setting hard stops for talking to them. ā€œOk, Iā€™ve got a meeting at 3pm.ā€ Itā€™s pointless. Then itā€™s ā€œcall me back after. We can eat dinner on the phone.ā€
Iā€™m so overwhelmed with life as it is. I donā€™t have 5 minutes to myself which is why I post then ghost off for hours or days. I feel horrible. I know our time is limited before they donā€™t know me at all. They are incredibly important to me. I canā€™t find a realistic solution. I tried to do the scheduling thing but just isnā€™t working that way for me right now. The demands of work, household. So having to break those ā€œdates.ā€ Is worse. Theyā€™ve now called 5 times since the call at the store. Answering ā€œI would love to talk to you, but I have a meetingā€ has no value.
I had a stomach bug a few weeks ago. And texted and said I was violently ill from both ends. Couldnā€™t talk. They said ā€œIā€™ll talk to you from the bathroom.ā€ Bro, Iā€™m hurling. I just want to die in a puddle.
I feel like the biggest piece of shit. This person is looking at the end of their life. I could have called them back in the time I took to write this. However, it wouldnā€™t have been enough. And Iā€™m resuming my work after I hit send.
Can people help me navigate this? I care about them. Iā€™m devastated someone so amazing is going through this. I know if I donā€™t make time now there is no do-over. Iā€™m just so overtaxed. I canā€™t be in 10 places at once. Iā€™m trying to set boundaries but it feels impossible. Clearly, I need Reddits help.

2024.05.14 22:36 PunkAssBitch2000 Is a medical marijuana card worth it?

For the past year or so, Iā€™ve been using CBD, CBN, Delta 8 and Delta 9 (and other cannabinoids) products for my myriad of health conditions. I had talked to my doctor and therapist before hand to make sure it was safe and stuff and it was. Itā€™s been immensely helpful. Only some of the conditions I use it for would be covered under Ohioā€™s qualifying conditions. I am diagnosed with IBS, a couple chronic pain conditions, brain injury, PTSD, and fibromyalgia, all of which qualify in Ohio, but I also use THC for conditions that do not qualify in Ohio, such as insomnia and other sleep disorders, autism, sensory processing disorder, gastroparesis, anxiety.
Basically, Iā€™m curious if getting a card is worth it or not, or if I should just keep doing what Iā€™m doing. Just trying to figure out if itā€™s worth the effort and what the benefits might be. Like with a card, would I have access to specific strains that would be more helpful for my autism and occasional aggressive behaviors or specific strains to help with sleep that wouldnā€™t be recreationally available? Does a medical card change the price at all, like with sales tax? I am not a smoker as my lungs already suck, so I only consume edibles and tinctures, but would like to get into making my own edibles too. THC and other cannabinoids have already been life changing for me, as Iā€™ve been able to replace some of my medications with cannabinoids (with doctorā€™s assistance) so I know it works.
Also, I would qualify for ā€œindigent statusā€ in Ohio so I think the card fee is significantly discounted. And, since I am unable to work due to my disabilities, being a card holder would not impact job opportunities for me. Iā€™m also thinking of just going to a medical dispo with my caregiver and asking them these questions too, but thought Iā€™d ask here as well. Tyia!!

2024.05.14 22:36 RepresentativeFact94 Dual Monitor Optimization

So I searched on google, and I can't seem to figure out how to make guitar pro use both monitors. It's 2024, I'd wager that 2 monitors is a low number nowadays for PC enthusiasts. I'm sure it works with super wide screens, so why not two?
I could have 2 more sheets preloaded if I can figure out how to either get a separate instance to run, or just have the one instance extend to both monitors, and cut my number of scrolls in half, which makes practicing a lot more fluid, but I can't seem to figure it out.
It feels like I'm wasting a ton of screen space :(
Any advice?

2024.05.14 22:34 insignificant_potato Ex lost his mind when I broke up with him, gave away and destroyed a lot of my things and harassed my employees and friends trying to find me for days

Okay this is in Oklahoma and a lot happened but to summarize basically I've been with this man-child for 3 years almost, I ended up breaking it off after work on Monday (mainly) because of all the issues he has but just blatantly refuses to fix. Immediately after having the discussion he flipped out, throwing things across the room and screaming at me to leave. I stayed at a friend's house that night with nothing but my bag and the clothes I had worn to work. The next day I wake up to a phone call from him where he told me not to bother going back to the apartment because he already let his mom go through all of my things. He said he told her I wanted to fight her (never said that) so she's now determined to kick my ass, and that all of her gang-banger friends now have the addresses of all my family and friends to hurt them as well (this man never remembered my phone number, no way in hell he knows anyone's address lmao but still). I have a witness to this conversation. I also was informed by one of my employees that he had come with his mother to my workplace looking for me, apparently he had been swerving through the parking lot and was acting aggressive and intoxicated. We called law enforcement out and my friend and I went back to the apartment to find it completely destroyed, multiple holes in the walls, and a lot of my furniture was torn apart across the floor, as well several paintings and art pieces that held quite a bit of sentimental value to me. I also found that my medication, makeup, some art supplies, and my medical marijuana paraphernalia has all been taken. His cat was standing on the balcony, I don't know how long she had been outside for. He was not home at the time thankfully, and we had cops standing by while I grabbed some of my things and cared for the animals. Several hours later I was at a friend's apartment on the other side of the complex after submitting the Emergency Protective order petition, id parked far down the road just in case he drove by and surprise surprise he did, I remember hearing the familiar sound of his truck before his mom knocked on the door, I was thrown in a closet to hide and dial 911 while my friend stood at the door talking to them, and thankfully he got them to leave before the police arrived. I can't imagine what might have happened if I didn't move my car down the street. I stayed with a different friend that night for my own safety. The next day went by relatively uneventful until later in the night, we got the EPO and I immediately went and made a bunch of copies before returning to my friend's house on the other side of the complex. I had been in contact with his dad who was using the tracker on his phone to keep me updated on his location, and at this point he had returned to his adoptive parents house in Oklahoma City. At around 20:45 on Wednesday we decided to head back to my apartment to take care of the animals and we found the residence occupied by a couple that none of us recognized. We quickly ran back to my friend's place and called 911, Police came out and removed them from the premesis, and they came out with bags and bags of mine and his things. The woman seemed very confused and had a baby with her, she said that my ex had given her all of it, and that I could take any of my belongings. We went through all the bags and I found several small things of mine, she claims that she was told to stay there and watch over the apartment and to pack his things for him, we got him on the phone (through his dad, I have not spoken to him at all since Tuesday morning when he called me) and he told the officers they weren't supposed to be there and that his key was stolen, and he still sounded heavily intoxicated. Finally everyone left and we went inside to find that everything had been pretty well cleaned up, but the vast majority of my belongings were missing. Adding now my PC, monitor and keyboard, a sewing machine and many yards of fabrics and notions, a cake decorating kit, a small TV and fire stick, a sweing kit from my great-great-grandmother, and a diamond necklace my mother had gotten me for my 16th birthday to the list of missing things. My jewelry box was cleaned out, anything that seemed valuable is now gone, his dad swears up and down they're going to get it all back to me but I don't think that's going to happen. We also found a bread knife with a white-powder on one side of it sitting in the living room, we suspect it to be meth or cocaine (more than likely meth, taking his mother's history and his behavior into account) but when I tried to have it tested the officer told me to just throw it out because it would just be a waste of time. That was the last big event, the last few days have been comparatively quiet aside from getting the PO amended so I can leave the apartment, and his dad texting me, begging me to drop the PO (I won't) I really want to press charges, the court Hearing for the protective order is on the 23rd and I want to be prepared for it, and I have a police report that was approved on Sunday that I have no clue what to do with.
TLDR: Crazy ex gets drunk after breakup, harasses and threatens my entire support system, destroys a bunch of my things and gives away all my valuables to his mothers meth-addicted buddies, and now is hiding behind his dad's hoping I'll drop the protective order.
Do I need an attorney? If so how do I get one? I don't have money right now as I'm trying to get a new place to live, do I still have options? I have a paper trail and witnesses to everything, what is the next step I need to take? Can I press charges for things that happened before we broke up (SA/DV??)? His parents have money and I'm afraid they won't make this an easy fight, but this man has spent his entire adult life having everything handed to him, and walking all over everyone around him. I spent 3 years trying to "fix" him and I want to make sure that after this he won't go off and hurt another girl the same way he did me. Any help is appreciated!

What To Know Before Going Into A Store And Buying A GPS Device

When buying a real time GPS tracker, there are several things you should look for to ensure you get the right product for your needs. Here are some factors to consider:
  • Real-time tracking: The GPS tracker should provide real-time location information so you can monitor the vehicle, loved ones, or pets in real-time.
  • Mobile applications: Look for a real time tracking device that comes with a mobile application, so you can easily track the location from your smartphone or tablet.
  • Web portal: A web portal will allow you to track the location from any computer with internet access.
  • Battery life: Look for a GPS tracker with long battery life, ideally around a month so that you don't have to keep recharging it.
  • Panic button: A panic button can be helpful in an emergency situation, such as a carjacking or medical emergency, so that you can alert authorities to your location.
  • Speed alerts: Speed alerts can help you monitor driving habits and receive notifications if the vehicle exceeds a certain speed limit.
  • Fleet management: If you need to track multiple vehicles, fleet management capabilities can be very useful.
  • Mini portable: If you need to track something small, like a pet or personal item, a mini portable GPS tracker would be a good option.
  • Teen drivers: If you're purchasing a real time GPS tracking device for a teenage driver, consider a system with speed alerts to help monitor their driving habits.
  • Mini GPS: If you need a small GPS tracker, consider a mini GPS device that can be easily attached to a pet collar, personal item, or vehicle.

  2. Safety Awareness: more families are informed and now understand how GPS vehicle tracking systems can help improve the driving conduct of teenagers and seniors.
  3. Cheating Spouse: people who suspect a spouse might be unfaithful and want to utilize GPS technology to uncover the truth.

This is because most retail outlets choose not to hold stock and offer surveillance devices, forcing consumers to seek out spy shops that specialize in sleuth gear. The only problem is that spy shops are simply not commonly found in most small and mid-sized cities and can sometimes not exist in larger metropolitan regions. Although finding a reputable GPS dealer can be challenging, the World Wide Web makes the process much easier.

Online GPS Tracker Purchase - Why eBay & Amazon Aren't Your Best Places To Buy

When it comes to purchasing a GPS tracker, eBay or Amazon may not be the best place to start. While they might offer good pricing and many choices when it comes to GPS tracking devices, post-sales support matters. Many real time GPS trackers sold on eBay or Amazon are poorly manufactured, refurbished, and often come from untrustworthy resellers. That means the real time GPS tracking device you buy there might not work. Not to mention, the GPS device could have hidden costs like monthly subscription fees. To avoid getting ripped off, it's best to conduct an online search for reputable suppliers.
Here are some tips on how to find a reputable supplier:
  • Conduct an online search on YouTube for "magnetic GPS trackers" or "GPS trackers for cheating spouses".
  • Choose a top organic link and check the company's corporate or e-commerce website to ensure they are a reputable business.
  • Look for a valid company email address, working phone number, and professional website to ensure good customer support and quality products.
  • Spend some time researching before investing in a GPS tracker, especially if the product is more than $100.
  • Look at review sites such as GPSTrackerReviews.net
  • Go for a reputable and established company that can provide technical support, sales assistance, and a substantial warranty of the product (one year).
  • Avoid websites with too many advertisements, poor structure, and an overall unprofessional-looking website.
  • Reputable companies such as Tracking System Direct offer free shipping on all GPS hardware

GPS Tracker For Car Walmart In Store

Can I go into Walmart and buy a GPS tracker for car? The answer is maybe, but many retail stores do not offer the best price when it comes to hidden GPS trackers for cars. Why take the risk of going in-store to Walmart with no guarantee a vehicle tracking device will be available, let alone a wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to GPS trackers? Then don't forget if you need technical support a Walmart employee won't be able to provide the same level of quality customer care as a specialty spy store such as Tracking System Direct could. This is the reason consumers or businesses should avoid purchasing GPS trackers for cars in Walmart in-store, and instead choose a store that specializes in GPS tracking technology.

2024.05.14 22:33 SheSwedish Trade show questions for first time "Rising Star"

Hello! I have been accepted into a HUGE trade show as a newcomer who has been in business for under 3 years (me, under one year). I have everything ready to go (manufacturing, marketing, finances, etc.). I need some help...!!
Questions:
  1. I don't have a website yet. The marketing firm I'm working with is working on the website. Is that okay?
  2. Should I take a credit card machine from Stripe with me? Is there anything wrong with writing everything down on paper and then following up AFTER the show (maybe 2 weeks after) with retrieving payment for orders?
  3. I do NOT want to accept any terms: do you think that is okay? Could I even just be there I have never done this by myself before (I have in fashion/clothing)... from what I hear this is very different and the last time I was at a trade show was 2015.
  4. How many pieces do you think I should offer wholesale? I was thinking 3. (I am taking 20 pieces to show.) Should I do consignment?
THANK YOU!!! ANY help or advice would be wonderful. I'm so excited. This has been YEARS in the making and I'm excited to take all of my people with me!!! (Bench jewelers, torch workers, setters, financiers, friends, meeeee!!!!!).

2024.05.14 22:32 pink-donutss Recovery IS POSSIBLE ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Hey yā€™all ! I am 21 and 3 years ago I experienced my first DPDR symptom. I was sitting in my living room and suddenly I started dissociating and all these questions came up in my head. Why am I here? What is the reason? And so so many more.
I spend days desperately googling to find an answer that would reassure me enough to be calm again. When I did the calmness would last 20 minutes before another question came up and I started feeling zoned out again.
For months I would barely leave my house. I was crying 4-5 times a day and wanted to end it all. I was in SO much stress that my brain couldnā€™t function anymore. I could think talk or act straight. I felt so dumb and unworthy.
Therapy didnā€™t work because I chose the wrong therapist and I gave up.
Nobody understood me in my family or friends. The only time I felt like I belonged somewhere was when I visited this sub. I was here every day searching for other people that went through the same. Making posts about how miserable and lonely I felt.
I made a decision. I needed to try. Even though I was scared to face my triggers I decided that I rather be triggered that having to live like this for the rest of my life.
I started taking walks on sunny days and going out as much as possible. It was SO hard. Everytime I went out with friends I would come home crying from how much pressured and anxious I felt. But it GOT BETTER. After 2-3 months of pushing myself I finally started to like leaving my house. Brain fog started to go away and I could think more clearly for the first time in 1 year.
It took me about 2 years to stop thinking about it almost completely. Now I can go days without it. Sometimes I catch myself thinking existential thoughts and dissociating but I have learn breathwork and can snap myself out of it.
My number one tip is: DONā€™T BE AFRAID OF IT.
It feeds from your fear. If you donā€™t feed it it canā€™t exist. Get out of your comfort zone and start living your triggers. Do it scared. Do it shaking in fear. But at least DO IT.
I am no special. If I did it you can do too.ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

2024.05.14 22:32 Crayuz Suggestions for a Turkic constructed script

I am currently designing a script that can be used to transcribe every Turkic language accurately in a way that clearly connects them with ancient Turkic people and each other. Runic, arabic, and latin are in my opinion either too imprecise or foreign for this purpose, so I am interested in making my own script. However, I would like some additional input from you on what kind of script would be more ideal for this purpose.
I have a few ideas in mind. Firstly, I would like to not distinguish voiced and voiceless characters except through diacritics or other markers, similar to Japanese and Korean. That way, there will be a clear visual similarity between these letters regardless of whether it has voiced or devoiced over time and between languages. Voicing doesn't seem to affect the meaning of most native Turkic words except at the end, so this should simplify the script a bit. I would also like to base the shape of the letters on something that would hold significance in ancient Turkic life, such as horses, yurts, dogs, wolves, numbers, and the sky. I am interested in making a dual script system where there are curved and angular scripts used for different purposes, similar to japanese kana. However, that's about where my ideas for this script end.
I have a few questions on what kind of script would you prefer.
Would you want it to be an alphabet, abjad, syllabary, or abugida? Alphabets would be the safe option. Abjads are not quite suited for Turkic languages, however, as seen in Arabic. I am interested in experimenting with syllabaries and abugidas, but Turkic syllable structures and the abundance of vowels may make this very complicated. Or we could compromise and go for something similar to Korean Hangul, which is essentially an alphabet compressed into syllable blocks. This type of script is compatible with Turkic, although unique.
What would the shape of the letters be? Should they be angular and sharp, like they're carved on stone? Or round and curvy, like they're written on ink? Perhaps both?
Should each vowel have its own symbol or should they be grouped into pairs based on frontness/rounding? If grouped, should they be distinguished with diacritics or just by context?
Same with the consonants. Should they all have their own symbols? Should they be distinguished on voicing? Frontedness? This would be akin to the Orkhon script, where consonants are doubled into front and back pairs. In that script, letters like k and q are paired, along with g and ğ. Establishing a clear relationship between similar sounding letters in languages where these sounds do have a relationship would indeed be an advantage, but I'm not sure what I should differentiate them on.
How many scripts should be part of this system? I am interested in making a secondary script to pair with it, which could work like the uppercase-lowercase system in Greek-derived scripts like Latin and Cyrillic, or like the hiragana-katakana system of Japanese kana, however it is not necessary. Still, the pairing of angular and round versions of the same letters in a way that connotes additional information and tone strikes a chord in my brain.
What should the shape of the letters be? Should they be based on the shape of the mouth, things that would be present in daily life, nearby scripts, or completely random? Anything else? This is something really crucial, so I'd like to know your thoughts on this one as much as possible
Should I add letters for sounds that are rare or aren't used in Turkic languages outside of loan words? I'm talking letters like w, zh, ts, dz, th, dh, and f, which only appear natively in a few Turkic languages. Perhaps I could add additional letters as part of an Altaic DLC.
If you have any other suggestions for this supposed script, please let me know.

2024.05.14 22:31 Rude-Insurance1483 I [31M] caught my girlfriend [30F] texting some other guy on instagram, non-flirt. What should I do next?

Some general context: We've been together for 7 months, however we've been really good friends for over 8 years, we've always kind of loved each other - and we recently reconnected (last year) and hit it off, and instantly fell in love and everything felt like it was meant to be. We love each other a lot and there have been no major issues so far in our relationship.
However I knew she cheated and met with other guys during her past relationships so I had some trust issues with her.
TLDR: GF randomly mentioned a guy kept sending her DMs - turns out they were talking for months, albeit non-flirtatious. She apologized and begged me to forgive her but I feel my trust has been broken.
The story: This happened three days ago while we were getting ready to play a co-op game. That's when she randomly tells me "This guy keeps sending me DMs on instagram". I was a bit taken aback, but not really concerned and asked if she replied in any sort of way - and if not, to just reply and tell him to hit the bricks. For a bit of context, she's a musician and very good looking so she gets a lot of attention and sometimes guys send her DMs - this happened before once or twice with her just not replying, so this wasn't a major concern for me initially.
However, after my question she then fell silent and didn't verbally reply, so I persited and asked again if she replied to him or not so far. She mentioned she did and then fell silent. So I continued and asked "Then why does he still message you?". I noticed she behaved strangely and was at a loss for words and I started asking her more questions. She flusterred again and again and then I asked her if I could take a look at what the guy was saying.
She immediately panicked, trying to evade the topic, saying things like "Why should I show you my DMs, I never asked for yours", "I'm not showing you" and was visibly frustrated and trying to pushback. After a short heated conversation I asked one last time to see their conversation.
She then opened the DMs, and reluctantly handed over the phone. I then noticed a very long thread of conversation between them, dating back to last year, where the guy is asking her how are the holidays, what's she doing, and ...her replying back. The last question he asked was "So when are you coming to [CITY]? :)" which was the city she lived before, years back, and her reply "Not too soon [laugh emoji]".
Now this was not what I expected when she said "This person keeps texting me" - which was far from the truth, this in fact being an entire mutual conversation.
She then told me this person is a mutual aquaintance from her old city's group of friends, and that she's never phyisically met the guy, but knew who his name and who he was - and that's why she accepted his follow, replied and continued the conversation. She mentioned he first wrote to her before we were together and she continued the conversation out of wanting to be polite.
The texts didn't seem to include anything flirtatious from her side, apart from a hug emoji during one of her messages thanking him for the holiday greetings. However, she was replying and engaging with a person that was clearly interested in her, who she's never met and was clearly interested to know how her days went and what she's up to.
Regardless of the non-flirtatious convo, I felt betrayed and furious. She always had an issue with us keeping secrets and being loyal to each other, including being jealous of random aquantinces in my life... so this felt like a huge slap in the face and her being a major hypocrite.
We had a major fight afterwards with me telling her to go home, and that we should separate for the time being while I think things through.
Since then she apologized profusely and begged me to reconsider, including saying that she'll be 100% open to me from now on, she'll block the guy and even said she'll give me her phone pass and show me anything at any point I wish. She keeps mentioning how I'm the love of her life and the most important person she ever met, and that she cannot live without me, that she's envisioned marriage and kids with me, etc. She's called me crying a number of times and said she can't live without me and she knows that it was wrong to reply to him and talk to him but that she meant no harm and had no interest in him.
Unfortunately she also said: A) That she didn't know that the guy was interested in her (Which I think is a huge lie) B) That she hid the conversation from me because I would be mad people are sending her DMs (Which again is a dumb reason, since this happened before, she didn't reply and I was okay with it).
I asked her to be honest with me, and tell me the reasons why she did this. She said it wasn't out of a desire for attention, or an unmentioned frustration with our relationship. She just did it out of being polite.
However, IMO you don't just ask someone about their day and reply with questions when you're just "being polite".
Anyway. I'm really torn apart on what to do moving forward.
ATM I've told her I don't think things will work, and she is devastated.
I feel that she broke my trust and moving forward I'll be walking on eggshells, in a constant high-alert state. She gaslighted me and told me lies to cover up her tracks. She hid the fact that she was talking to this guy, she partially hid the fact that she was responding, and then she lied about not knowing what this guy wanted.
I also know that she loves me a ton and is really sorry for what she did.
Help me make sense of this and know what I should be doing. Thanks!

2024.05.14 22:31 SecretlySchizoX Chances of getting through security with temp replacement ID from the DMV?

I already understand that it would be accepted with an expired ID, but my friend lost his ID and it was his first and only one. So he doesnā€™t have an expired ID and it wonā€™t be here in time for EDC. In an email from the company, they said other IDs like a work ID, credit card with a name, etc would help but not GUARANTEE entry, and itā€™s up to the discretion of security. He lost his entire wallet which means no ID, no physical credit card etc. He has a picture of his original ID but other than that, itā€™s just his work ID.
Is security really that strict where as they wouldnā€™t allow entry? What are the chances?

2024.05.14 22:31 redmadog Paypal is so low

So I had paypal account while living in other country. Canā€™t move that account once relocated so I opened a new one. That old account is not accesible anymore since my old phone number from that other country isnā€™t working anymore.
So one day one of my friends transferred funds by mistake to my old account I canā€™t access anymore. Straight away he realised his mistake and opened a dispute. I called paypal as well but anyways paypal decided this case in their favor and left these funds in a locked account. And paypal refuse to allow me to log in and refund as I donā€™t have my old phone number anymore. So they just stole these funds in a bright daylight.

2024.05.14 22:31 Chaos_incarnate_9 Unexpected pregnancy

So I'm a travel nurse on assignment in Colorado. While here I met this guy 2 months ago. We've seen each other a few times, have adventures, but we aren't dating. I recently found out I'm pregnant. I live across the country full time. I'm only here until the end of the summer. I'm not sure how involved he wants to be yet, but right now I'm planning for the worst. I really like Colorado and was in the process of maybe moving here before this happened, however all my family is in South Carolina. Cost of living is higher in Colorado but so is pay. Baby daddy is in Colorado. I know I can afford the baby without help. My only concern is childcare since I work night shift 3 12 hour shifts a week. If I go back home I know I have people who can help and I don't have that here, but the healthcare and childcare assistance in Colorado is better. I'd like the babys father to be involved and I would hate to be across the country and him lose out on so many experiences. The logical thing says to go home, but my heart loves Colorado. Most of my friends and family assume I'm moving out here anyway because of how I talk about it. I guess I'm just a little overwhelmed right now. Anyone have any advice or input? So far this pregnancy has been tough and I'm only 5 weeks in. I throw up 4-5 times a day, I'm dizzy, I had diarrhea so bad my butthole was bleeding and I'm just full of anxiety. If I had a supportive partner that I was in a relationship with I think things would be easier. Part of me doesn't want to go home because my mom is a caregiver to my grandmother who's slowly dying and I don't want to add to her stress levels. I guess I need to run the financial numbers and see what's going to make the most sense. Typing this out actually helped...

2024.05.14 22:30 ENickiAz Itā€™s official, my dad is a Boomer.

He is, generationally, a Boomer. Heā€™s had Boomer tendencies, but he retired last year, and the tendencies are becoming full-blown. Itā€™s hard to watch.
He worked for the same company for 45+ years. Weekends, overtime. His life was eat, sleep, work, church. That is about it. Finally retired due to medical reasons. Has always been conservative leaning, gun-toting, religious, and is a Trump supporter. Iā€™m more liberal-leaning, but pretty moderate. We have differing opinions on politics, social responsibility, religion, etc. I live across the country from my parents and we avoid the touchy subjects, so have been able to get along pretty well.
Covid happened (before he retired, but this was the start of it), and he became a staunch anti (Covid) vaxxer - all other vaccinations are ok, though. I can almost get it - it was developed quickly, experimental status. Blah blah. Iā€™m a scientist, I was good with them, know how mRNA works, etc. Didnā€™t matter what I told him. But whatever. To each their own. His decision. Just donā€™t tell me what I should do. After COVID vaccines were made widely available to everyone, he sent me a 60 minute video from BitChute of some crazy ā€œdoctorsā€ talking about how dangerous the COVID vaccines are. Tried to convince me to not get them. Got mad when I poked holes in the video, source of info, etc. He sent me some off his rocker comments about the China-virus, Chinese killing female babies, and something about Bill Gates being behind it. It was literally a 6 line text message paragraph, and there was so much to unpack. We bickered, and then dropped it. He once said to me ā€œI donā€™t understand your leftist liberal leanings - we didnā€™t raise you that wayā€. Like, wut? Ffs, I have a good career, healthy marriage, am a productive member of society. I am not an addict or in jail. There are worse things than being a little left leaning, me thinks.
Anyway, now that he has been retired, he does not know what to do with himself. He is on his phone CONSTANTLY. God knows what tin-foil hat wearing, extremist bs he is reading and buying into. He and my mom recently came to visit. While they were here, my mom came to me and was like ā€œyour dad is on the phone getting scammed and he wonā€™t listen to meā€. Heā€™s on speaker, and Iā€™m listening in. He has his credit card out. Heā€™s talking about a password, security code, etc. I tell him to hang up. He does, and goes on to say why he thinks itā€™s legitimate. I tell him to call the company office he works with locally for his account and to ask them about it. Sure enough, itā€™s a scam. He then tries to save face and say he was planning to call and check. Bullshit. He said in the moment he thought it was legit! There were so many red flags. He wonā€™t go to the ā€œhow to detect a scamā€ seminar at the senior center because he doesnā€™t think he needs it.
He and my mom go home, and next thing I know, heā€™s texting me asking how many COVID vaccines my toddler has had and that he is concerned for her and us because he has been reading ā€œstudiesā€ that link cancer with the third COVID shot. I lose it. Ask him where he is getting his info and to send me the studies. He doesnā€™t. He drops the issue, but not before my husband saw steam coming out of my ears. He is also one of those who pushed ā€œcollege college collegeā€ on me and my sister. God knows what crazy shit he is reading online, but now he has also bought into the ā€œeducational system indoctrinating leftist idealsā€ stuff, probably because his kids have a different worldview than he does. Like, dude. You pushed it on us. Now you are mad we have a different perspective?
Thereā€™s more. But here we are. deep breath
