Hi- first time posting here, please let me know if you need more info or details.
I am currently on my third major repair for the AC on my 2013 Subaru Impreza wagon in a year and am hoping someone can help me out. I'm not saying my mechanic is sketchy or trying to trick me but I feel completely out of my depth. I mainly would like to validate my paying so much money or advice if there is a more extreme action that might save me money down the road. I understand ACs are very expensive to repair and fully plan to pay the costs- AC is a luxury but with my commute, it's one I'm not willing to give up at this point. Are there other possible future issues I might run into with what little information I've provided?
May 2023 - I purchased the car in March of 2023, the car had been sitting for a while but was running and operating well. Took the car into get the AC repaired after it stopped working two months after purchase.
Note from mechanic (copied and pasted): Compressor high pressure side fitting leaks. remove fitting and found oring worn out . I replaced seal and performed vacuum system test (passed) I recharge with .450grams and check for more leaks but no others found. Verify fan operation and vents temp output, now is blowing 55-60 degrees.
Cost of the repair: $470
May 2024- The AC stopped working again after working well for a year-
Note from mechanic: Expansion valve is leaking. Replacement will be needed. A/c service required to replace expansion valve High pressure line o-ring is also leaking. Replacement needed. Advised replacing the low pressure o-ring as well since it's likely just as old. This is the initial repair - other leaks may come up, but we need to be able to seal this hole first.
Cost of the repair: $855
Worked for a day but then stopped, took it back and this is the current finding:
Note from mechanic: A/C service was completed last week, with replacement of the expansion valve. Recovered 0lbs from A/C system. Found multiple leaks from lower side of condenser. This is not surprising, as it is very common to have to replace one leak to be able to find any other leaks. We picked the lowest hanging fruit previously, now we are moving up to the next more visible items.
Cost to replace the condenser: $500
Background: I also own a 03 Camry- the AC went out on that car a couple of years ago. We replaced the compressor which failed within two years and was repaired by the mechanic last year under the part warranty. I don't think this is relevant but thought I would include it.

TL:DR Is there a CUDA utility that let's one conveniently manage multiple versions from say a command line? This would also include cudnn also.
I'm relatively new to CUDA driver management and am looking for the best practice recommendation for managing CUDA versions (e.g. 10.1, 11.1, etc) because I worked with a lot of research conda environments which were created over the past years. The complication is that the versions of torch will vary in reflection of whatever GPU and driver were current at the time.
Because some of these conda environments are quite valuable in what they do from a research point of view it's not easy to "just use the latest torch" as requirements for the environment will lock you in to a number of packages (sometimes a lot) at specific versions - so, for example, numpy needs to be an older version f
So a basic questions is there a CUDA utility that let's one conveniently manage multiple versions from say a command line? I'm very UNIX savvy and currently have an AWS EC2 instance with cuda 12.1 and it's working fine but I now have a conda environment from a research paper that requires 11.1. I did in fact try to run the environment and test code but it bombed.
Im also savvy about gcc and recompiling things, setting CPATHS, LD_LIBRARY_PATHs etc so that's not a problem but would be nice if there was some tool that helped with this.
I was able to get Theano to work on the EC2 instance which took quite a trick, hacking on the YAML environment file. I know - why use Theano? Because we are trying to reproduce a published result using another researcher's environment from several years ago. Anyway, thanks for input

Hi Morgan, Longtime listener, first time writing in. My best friend and I are having trouble figuring out the right thing to do in this situation and wanted to get an outside perspective. Buckle up because this is a LONG one because theres a lot of backstory that’s necessary.
Would we be the assholes if we didn’t attend our childhood best friends wedding?
There is a lot of context in this storyline so I’ll try to give a lot of detail. We start in January of 2023, my best friend, Greta(26F) and I(26F) get in contact with one of our childhood best friends, Laura (26F), and plan a visit to catch up on the past 10ish years that we’ve been apart. Laura moved away from our hometown when we were 15. Now Greta and I live about 2 hours from where Laura moved to when we were young, so we reached out and invited her and her fiancé Logan(26M) up to stay with us and hang out.
They come visit, we have such a great time, her fiancé was pretty quiet and distant the whole time, but the 3 of us together were big talkers so I just chalked it up to him not being able to get a word in and they left. In March they came back to visit again and announced to us that they were moving a few states away. We were really sad, but happy for them since they were getting to move somewhere that they’d wanted to be for a while. They were going to elope together after a few months but Logan had a university study abroad for a month in Japan so they were going to wait until after.
So, he leaves for Japan in May, and while he is away a girl reaches out to Laura from the college that Logan attends. This girl tells Laura that her friend had been getting really close with Logan, uncomfortably so and she wanted to give Laura a heads up that she thought they were romantically involved. Greta and I were worried but Laura brushed it off and said it was probably nothing, so Greta and I dropped it because we didn’t feel close enough to Laura to tell her we felt like she should look into it more.
Flash forward 2 weeks into Logan’s study abroad, he calls Laura at 5AM to let her know that he doesn’t think he wants to get married anymore. She’s distraught but has to go into work that morning and calls us after to let us know. We support her, you know he fucking sucks for doing that not only over the phone but right before she went into work, real shady. Greta and I are very worried about Laura because Laura really wants to make it work, but we still don’t say anything because we just want to be there for her.
He gets back and agrees to go to couples counseling, they do couples counseling for 2 weeks, during this time he repairs her car. Replaces a tire, breaks, oil change, the works, he’s been working with cars for a long time, so this was no biggie. Well after that two weeks, Laura comes home to all of Logan’s stuff packed and he tells her it’s over and he’s moving back home. He leaves. She’s devastated. She paid for his college, he has had no job for the past 2 years while getting his degree, so she had been financially supporting them both. She paid for his trip to Japan, he put her in 20K of credit card debt, and more in personal loans, etc. Then in couples therapy told her he wasn’t attracted to her because she made money and he didn’t (so weird).
So immediately Greta and I are like, “Girl, we had a bad feeling, we wanted to tell you but didn’t want to upset you, we’re just glad you’re finally out of that mess”. She tells us that next time we should come to her and be honest with her, we apologize and agree. Then one day Laura calls us to tell us that she almost got into a really bad car accident. She lives in a mountainous area and her breaks went out on her when she was driving on the interstate on a hill, she managed to pull of into a grass median and slow the car down.
She gets the car towed to a mechanic that night and heads to work the next morning. Mechanic calls her midday. He asks he who worked on her car last, she said “My ex” and he said “Is he still in your life?” she said no. And he said “Good, Because I’ve never seen anything like this in my 20 years as a mechanic.” Her brake fluid hadn’t been connected so all the break fluid drained out. Her brake pads weren’t fastened/screwed in to the wheels, the were just placed in there. And he back tire bolts were stripped so hard that he said he tire probably would’ve come off had she kept driving.
Later that week, Logan asks to talk to her, she agrees only to get closure on the situation. Well he calls and begs her to get back together, she says no absolutely not. Then he asks” How’s the car?” She said, “Well I almost died last week”, he immediately jumped to the defensive “Well, that had nothing to do with me, I didn’t do anything” a very guilty response, so we were all convinced he tried to kill her. She filed a police report on him and started moving on. This is in July.
Now we move into part two of this debacle. My partner and I go up to visit her in September and she’s doing well on her own, she’s having fun, dating around, putting herself first, in therapy, just doing really well, were happy for her. She hasn’t really made any friends which is making her lonely but we were telling her to get involved in clubs and meet people, etc.
We leave our trip which was really fun and head back home. 2 weeks later, Laura says she’s met this really great guy, its almost October at this point, she’s gone on multiple dates with him and really likes him, were happy for her, still a bit concerned, but if she’s happy we’re happy. So Laura, Greta, and I plan a girls trip to come up and visit Laura for a long weekend. Laura wants us to vet this new guy, make sure he’s a good dude. She tells us she really values our input and so Greta and I are so excited to go on this trip with an open mind. November rolls around, one month before our trip and Laura announces that the new guy, we’ll call him Will (29M) has moved in with her, bringing his dog with him. Greta and I are a bit shocked but we didn’t say anything bc we’ve both done stuff like that before and Laura was struggling to keep up with rent on her own (she was still in the house that her ex fiancé left her in) so we knew she could use a roommate.
December is finally here and Greta and I hop on a plane and Will and Laura pick us up from the airport, first impression in the car was fine, he seemed nice, he drove us back to their place and we walk into the house. I come face to face with a completely different living room than I saw in September, all of Laura’s art and stuff are moved out of the living room replaced with the following: a giant poster of Elon Musk smoking a joint, a poster model of a rocket, a poster of Jesus riding a dinosaur with a machine gun. And a bookshelf full of Will’s books and Lego sets on display. Alarm bells are going off in my head and Greta’s at this point. We have a little conversation and because it’s late, we go to bed. We sleep in a room that outside of the house in the backyard, it has full heating so its basically just like a bedroom with a deadbolt. I double lock the dead bolts and we go to bed.
At 3am I’m woken up by Greta shaking me in a panic, asking me if I remembered to double deadbolt the door, I told her I did and that were okay and we both went back to sleep. When we woke up the next day, and she told me she had a weird feeling that he was gonna come in our room in the night. I agreed, and told her that was why I double dead bolted the door.
We go through our girls trip which ended up not being a girls trip at all, Will was by our side the entire time. Laura and he talked about looking at ENGAGEMENT RINGS, they bought a ring sizer, she was picking out her faves. He never let us have girl time except for one hour trip we took downtown to window shop. He would come sit in Greta and my room when we were talking with Laura, he would watch movies with us, he went everywhere with us. Not only that but in the middle of conversations, he would pull out his guitar and just start playing in the middle of us talking, or when we sat down to watch a movie. There is one bathroom in the house, and the main house part is very small about 650 square feet, my friend Greta has bathroom anxiety, she doesn’t like to poop in public places so she asked Laura and I if we would grab Will and the dog, and just go for a quick walk around the block while she used the bathroom. It was no biggie, so we got ready and went on a walk, we got 20 feet out the door and Will starts griping about how he doesn’t want to be outside and that Greta is a selfish pooper, and continues to complain the entire time were outside. We don’t even go for a walk, we stop at the corner of the street and just stand there because he doesn’t want to go any further.
At this point I’m annoyed with this guy, he just seems really controlling. To add to it, he didn’t want to go for a hike in the mountains, so Laura didn’t want to go so we ended up spending the entire weekend inside their house basically, even though we were in a beautiful area, and hiking is a group favorite, because he didn’t want to go. We didn’t. Also this is a personal anger of mine but I bought a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts (they were $18, which is crazy) and he ate EIGHT OF THEM. it pissed me off so bad, I had to hide the box that night just so I had 1 donut left over in the morning. Anyway onto the big finale.
Our last night there we finished up watching a movie and the events that unfold all happen within 3 minutes, keep that in mind. Laura had taken an edible so she was pretty out of it, like laying on top of the dog, whispering, just all around sounding really tired. Will says hes gonna take her to bed and Greta and I say were gonna get ready for bed in the bathroom. Bedroom and bathroom are five steps fro each other. I brush my teeth and use the bathroom while Greta is brushing hers and then I walk out of the bathroom and tell Greta that I’m grabbing my stuff to head over to our outside bedroom. I grab my bag from the kitchen counter, which is right next to their bedroom door. The bedroom door is open so I say goodnight to both of them and tell Greta I’ll see her in a sec, she’s just finishing up. Maybe 45 seconds pass and I’m waiting in our bedroom when I get 3 texts from Greta “OH MY GOD” “HELP” “HOLY SHIT”, Greta comes running out of the house, slamming the back door, and I run up to her.
She tells me that they were loudly having sex in their bedroom with the door open, mind you the bathroom is 5 steps from the bedroom. the kitchen counter is right next to the bedroom and Greta had to walk over to it to grab her stuff.
We are freaked the fuck out at this point not only was it super disrespectful but Greta was super affected by it, which who wouldn’t be it was disturbing. Because mere moments before Laura went to bed she was so high. And I smoke regularly so I know what it looks like when someone is super high and I hadn’t gotten that high in a long time. She was very out of it. So this really bothered us both.
The next day, were ready to go home, we get to the airport where they drop us off and once the two of us are in the airport we both look at each other and both just say “that was horrible”, we both felt like the entire trip we had a bad feeling about him and didn’t want to ruin the vibes of the trip so we just didn’t say anything about it. So were sitting in the terminal writing down a list of all the red flags, all the instances where he gave us a bad feeling. And overall just as a person he gave us a really bad feeling. Just gross, nasty, icky feeling. Not sure how to describe it well but I just knew something was off and Greta said she felt the same.
Laura had asked us to give our opinion on what we thought of him so we drafted up a letter to her, with key moments and points that we felt were big signs that he may not be a good guy. It includes everything we went over in this story, I didn’t want to supply to much of our opinion on the situation but I know that my bias comes out in this story a bit.
We wrote to her, and she responded to us with basically “I appreciate your concern, I will take your opinions into consideration” Its worth it to note that they were talking about getting engaged in March of 2024 (It is Early December 2023 at this point) and in our letter we told her that she should give their relationship more time, and get to know him better before they get engaged.
Our relationship with her after that became very one sided, Greta and I tried our best to keep messaging her but she really never responded so we kind of gave up. End of January we get a text from her, a picture of her and him she has an engagement ring on, “We’re engaged!” Greta and I respond with a Congrats! and a heart emoji, we’re super concerned but we have genuinely said all we can in that letter a little over a month before, so It didn’t feel right to say it again.
March she posts her “I said yes to the dress post” with Wills mom and his two sisters. She still doesn’t have any friends up where she lives so it makes sense for her to bring his family along. She didn’t message us about it, which is fair because we hadn’t been talking. We just thought they were getting eloped, because Greta has always said she wanted something small since she isn’t super close with her family (they’re not great).
So we left it there until last week I received an invitation in the mail to their wedding. Its this September on a Monday night.
Greta and I would have to pay around $500 each in order to even go to the wedding, calculating in airfare, shared rental car, shared hotel room, and that doesn’t even include, food, gas, wedding gift, etc. The two of us are not well of financially, we both live paycheck to paycheck so it would be really hard for us to go in general not to mention that the wedding is on a Monday night, so I have to take off extra days of work that I really don’t have. Hi everyone, last year I had a transvaginal ultrasound due to heavy and extremely painful periods and pelvic pain. The visit with this obgyn was terrible to say the least, and I got no answers with the ultrasound. Yesterday I decided to post the results on an endometriosis group I’m in, and multiple people were commenting telling me it isn’t normal and that I should get a second opinion, which I’m planning on doing now but I was wondering if anybody could possibly help me. I’ve tried googling and even asking my mom who’s a nurse but I can’t get any answers. My doctor never did a follow up or anything with me, she said the Hyperechoic area is just a normal ovarian cyst. If that’s what it is, that’s fine but I really need it all to be explained to me as if I’m a child, lol
Here are my results: The uterus measures 7.1 x 4.1 x 4.9 cm. The endometrial lining is 1.2 cm. Free fluid is seen in the cul de sac. The right ovary and left ovaries are not visualized.
1). Uterus appears unremarkable. 2). Free fluid was visualized within the posterior cul de sac. 3). Within the right adnexa is a Hyperechoic area with some internal vascularity measuring 2.2 x 0.9 x 1.6 4). Free fluid is visualized within the left adnexa.

My fellow gamers, for too long has our community suffered the indignation of an intolerable culture that has denigrated, besmirched, exploited, and has outright demonized our culture of unique individuals with a genuine love of a hobby that they see as profitable and progressive. Through the guise and protection of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity) & ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) they have used our influence in the entertainment industry to push their narratives and agendas that have stigmatized our culture with numerous anti-consumer practices that they call “being progressive”. But the truth of the matter is they were never really looking to be a part of our community, they simply wanted to use our community as a tool of activism and propaganda in the entertainment industry as it was extremely profitable, and they wanted inclusion in that division. Ever since GamerGate & Female Frequency, we have had to endure the incursion of forced ideologies, xenophobic behaviors and inferior overpriced products that have never been in our best interest and have been flat out disgraceful towards foreign media.
Before Gaming had become a major source of entertainment, we were often categorized as anti-social or societies rejects where because we found more enjoyment in playing fictional characters and not spending as much time out and about, we never fully assimilated in society (which is a good thing if you ask me). From 1998 to 2007, at the height of innovation, creativity and production, Gaming had reached a golden age in which it had revolutionized society. Hollywood Execs who had ruined the movie industry turned their attention to video games as a source of income since video games had outperformed movies in terms of profit. No one was concerned about gaming, much less diversity or inclusivity until it became profitable. This makes people like SBI look extremely disingenuous as they were not interested in gamers as a community with its own culture. They simply wanted to use it as another weapon in identity politics.
Microtransactions; the hidden enemy to gamer progress and inducer to mental laziness of our community. Microtransactions have been around for a long time; however, it has never been more potent and apparent than in recent years. It has aided in the dismantling and segregation of players on the ideology of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and has created another sub-culture of gamers who have no real drive to be better outside of how much money they put into the game. This has degraded our culture as well as we have become “fat” off transactional gaming but at the same time we have been “starved” of purposeful gaming where our achievements were our sustenance. I am not saying that microtransactions are bad, but when they are exploitative and predatorial like they have been and don’t give gamers room to grow, we become lethargic and unwilling to improve ourselves as gamers. Oversaturated microtransactional games are one of the many reasons why we have become complacent and unwilling to fight against the exploitative tactics used by big brand game companies such EA, Ubisoft, ActivisionBlizzard, NaughtyDog and so many other western business model companies. Western style games were not like this in the past, they had much more depth and actual effort put into them with the gamer in mind. This has not been the case for over a decade and our connection to western developers has been whittled down to just being transactional. That is one of the reasons why you see so many remasters and remakes in today’s gamer community. They have lost their willingness to improve as developers of games and simply accept corporate/share holder rules.
Game journalists also do not have any real integrity or purpose outside of being funded for their involvement in promoting IPG (Identity Political Games) in a positive light to the public whether it’s positively received or not. They are not interested in what we have to say, they all support the same agenda and that is why they are a dying breed. Within the next couple of years, they will be out of the job and more than likely they will not be able to stay in the industry giving how they have responded to past articles that have clearly been scripted on the premise of diversity and racism. Not only that, but most of them are also extremely hostile to the community as they stereotype and defame the individuals that are a part of the community they are supposed to serve. We have been mentally liberated from their lies and coercive tactics as we tend to laugh at their obvious attempt at virtue signaling while hiding their misdoings so that they can play the victim.
My gamer brothers & sisters, I would not suggest the following action that we must take now without good cause. I have weighed our options and the best option for us now is this…...CULTURAL SECESSION. Naturally this is a form of segregation where they would more than likely claim they are being segregated by the dominant culture of the gaming community but that is incorrect. For years now we have been the ones who are often marginalized and ostracized for the smaller portion of our community. And when we aren’t, we’re exploited for more funds so that these companies can stay in business only to subject us to low quality products that coincide with the “WOKE Agenda” that are often huge expenses to these big brands i.e. AAA/AAAA games that will eventually flop for its obvious forced diversity and bug infested product which will undoubtedly piss off the consumer to the point of wanting a refund. Losing copious amounts of capital and stock in the process, not to mention their reputation is permanently marred.
We must separate on every cultural level in terms of entertainment and ideology. We must reject everything from the west that promotes toxic western beliefs, practices, and exclusion from other cultures (i.e. Southeastern Countries such as Japan and Korea). Japan & Korea have been the targets of unjust discrimination from Western Developers, Western Journalists, Western Localizers (The Wokelizers) and Western Society Prejudice regarding their sense of aesthetics as Westerners hate the aesthetic sense of these countries. The reason why they resort to such base tactics isn’t just because it weaponizes the ideal female form but it’s also because they have deep-seated insecurities about their own looks so when they see attractive female characters, they use terms such as “unrealistic” or “hypersexualized” to establish the moral high ground. But the truth is, they want to feel superior to that which is ideal, so they insult and dehumanize this figure that portrays natural female beauty because they see it as an insult to their own social superiority in what they believe is a hierarchy of them being at the top of all other women. Because of this and so many contributing factors, their movies flop harder than the Fat Chocobo landing on a group of enemies and their games seismically fail just as much if not more. We must sever our connection to Western Developers, Publishers, and ALL Western-Centric Entertainment for they seek to mentally enslave us to their Xenophobic ideology.

• Societal Terrorism: This is another form of ideology weaponization that they use in order to make companies “toe-the-line” with their agenda. • Double-standard Enforcement: By labeling something as “unrealistic” or “hypersexualized”, they can claim this is morally wrong if it promotes traditional dynamics between men and women. Heterosexual relationships are condemned while at the same time Same-sex relationships are praised. Additionally, heterosexual relationships with main white male characters turn antagonistic and spotlight stealing. • Dehumanization/Demonization: This is something that most military branches use in order to remove conscious inhibitions such as mass slaughter is wrong or categorization. By enforcing ideologies to denounce humanity in certain targets, it deactivates your conscience by saying this is not human therefore its ethically okay to treat this target without compassion and deny the fact it has sentience. We gamers fall under this category for journalists, developers, companies and society at large. • Deflection/Projection: This is basic psychology 101. By redirecting the conversation away from their mistakes and back on to the opposing view to avert blame and justify their innocence they can avoid criticism. However; deflection is a CONSCIOUS decision, meaning they have no real argument to justify their incompetence. If you can consciously process the situation, you have self-agency which means you don’t have a legitimate excuse. Projection is something else entirely. Most times, Projection doesn’t work on conscious decisions rather it is automatically deployed when feeling threatened, anxious or both. These traits are so nefarious and unconscionable that I have a hard time believing that anyone could harbor them. However, given the social, political, and economic climate that we are in, those in power who use their influence on controlling society most definitely possess these insidious traits. Hello, I am trying to make my document library able to have multiple files under each line in the list. I am not sure if I am even in the right area. I am trying to make a page where people can add entries into the page and attach multiple files that are needed to complete the task. I also cannot create a line unless I drop a pdf in there and then it makes the new Line. I apologize if I sound stupid. I have never worked with this before. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I received a letter from Nelnet saying something about a possible overpayment on my account and I need to verify my address. I have multiple questions.

1. I’m on the SAVE plan and have never made a payment on any of my loans. Though some of them are being forgiven due to fraud on my university’s part. Does this have to do with that? That’s the only thing I can think of because I haven’t made a payment so there’s no other way an over payment could have been made. I’m just confused as to why the government would over pay and give the refund to me.
   
2. I verified my address was correct on my account but when I called the provided number to verify with the automated system my account couldn’t be found. Am I good since my information is correct on account profile?
   
3. Tax implications: Are there any taxes implications on the forgiven loans? Also if by some miracle I do get a refund due to some overpayment by the forgiveness are there taxes implications? Also would I be able to keep the refund if it comes from the forgiveness?

okay so, i started to apply for disability a little over a year ago, i got denied, which i knew was going to happen, but was still surprised since they had to have multiple letters to even cover all the shit they had to look through to deny. at that a point i was homeless and living in shelters + my car. I submitted my appeal in JAN, it is now MAY, and there still doing the medical review for my appeal. I moved out of homelessness and into a transitional living program for youth, which supplies my housing in a apartment building owned by the org, but that program ends this summer when i reach the age limit. Ive tried working, even if i do get hired with my accommodations, which has only happened twice in the 4 years ive been trying, i end up getting fired beacuse i cant make it to work, since im hospitalized at least once a month for weeks at a time. ive tried vocational rehab, i cant get into housing for disability because im not on SSI yet, and they require you to have it already. I have no friends to live with, and no family to rely on, im drowning in medical debt and im barely making it by in the current program im in. I have rhuem, pulm, cardiology, vascular, immu, ENT, lipedema specialists, genetic doctors, im in lymphedema therapy and physical therapy, YET IM STILL FUCKING WAITING FOR SSI???!? what am i supposed to do when my program is up?? rot away and wither?? my case worker has no clue and is out here searching for housing which requires ssi, but im not on it and i dont have hope that i will be anytime soon. zero idea what im supposed to be doing right now....

TLDR: Retailer claimed tracked parcel wasn't received. Klarna (method of payment) have sided with retailer. Outside of Courier's 30 day claim window due to retailer taking so long to confirm wasn't received.
Hi, all bit of a situation:
I ordered 8 pairs of trainers from a retailer, paid via Klarna. I sent 7 pairs back via Parcelforce on the 5th April (Retailer advise that returns are the responsibility of the customer).
The Tracked 48 hour return was booked online, and I paid extra to cover the full £1200 value of the parcel. I dropped the parcel off at a local Post Office, and I can't remember if I was provided proof of postage. I have a tracking number.
The online tracking showed parcel being signed for on 9th April (Lets call this Day 1)
Retailer are notoriously bad at customer service. Email is the sole method of contact. On Day 22 I emailed the retailer if they had managed to process my return yet. Told me to wait 14 working days from date of delivery. At this point 14 working days had just passed.
On day 26 I followed up as it had been way over 14 working days. I was provided with the same generic response.
On Day 34 there was multiple back and forth emails, spilling into day 35. Today, on Day 35, after providing tracking information (again) + the name on signature to the retailer, they say the parcel was not received at the warehouse (there is nobody with that name at their workplace)
Klarna automatically raised a 'dispute' because I reported a return through their app, thereby delaying payment, which the retailer haven't confirmed. I have provided Klarna with Parcelforce Invoice, tracking number, screenshots of the tracking page (everything except proof of postage - which is implied surely otherwise the parcel wouldn't have traveled through their system). They have sided with the retailer and claim the matter is final.
As it's now day 35, I am over the 30 day compensation claim window listed in the Parcelforce T&Cs. I have opened a claim but not sure if they will consider it.
Please may I have advice? What can I do if Parcelforce refuse to consider the claim?

It's as the title says. I've been playing Skyrim for ages, and I have multiple saves separated by profiles in MO2. On all of them, I have FSMP and its requirements, it works perfectly, etc. Artesian Cloaks is fully functional on all saves and profiles, except for one. On all saves, FSMP is fully functional as well.
However I recently decided to get Legacy for the first time, I installed all the associated patches for it, loaded the game, and played. All FSMP mods work perfectly and beautifully on this profile and its saves, except for Artesian Cloaks. Everything else is fine, just not this mod.
I have run LOOT several times over, FNIS, I've changed my load order manually to move various patches around, and none of it works. Artesian Cloaks just outright does not seem to work with Legacy installed.
I've also tried to reinstall FSMP and all requirements, all cloaks, XP32, Artesian Cloaks, all patches, and so on, multiple times now. Still, Artesian Cloaks only works on saves that don't use Legacy, and it does not work on the one with Legacy.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, did you find a fix? If you found a fix, what was it?

My new playgroup is okay with proxies, except for one guy. Every time we mention proxies, he just doesn't respond.
An example: Me: "Your Dino deck and Voja Deck are gonna need doubles of your lands, why don't you just proxy them?" Him: No Response
Personally, I proxy cards that I already own, have owned, want custom art, or plan on buying. I own one of each fetchland, but proxy them for all of my decks. My other friend does similar, he proxies a deck, then works towards getting the cards.
We just feel kind of bad, because he's not playing optimal decks and has spent the most out of all of us on the game. Heck, the 4th guy in our playgroup doesn't even own a deck, he just uses one of ours, which usually has proxies in it.
We really only play games with each other, sometimes another friend joins or a stranger if we don't have four, but for the most part, we all proxy cards but him.
I'm probably the one most concerned about how much he spends on the game too, that's another different issue akin to a gambling problem in my opinion, and I think if he was more open to proxying cards, he wouldn't spend as much money on the game.
We're going to be building a cat deck for one of our friends for his birthday, all custom art of his cat, so obviously we're going to be proxying the cards for that.
I might just get some proxies for his Voja deck for him and see if he uses them. He swapped his Cyclonic Rift for my proxied one for my birthday, so he's using a proxied card and maybe just forgets or isn't running it anymore?
If we were playing in tournaments or FNMs, I can obviously see the issue here, but it's just us four.
Bottom line: What would you do in this situation? He's probably a little upset that he's spent so much money on the game and that we're playing more optimal decks than him. But if everyone is okay but him with using proxied cards, I don't understand why he continues to spend so much money on the game, especially if he already owns a card, I don't see why he needs to own multiples.

Fiona Sinnott was a 19 year old Irish woman who vanished after a night out in County Wexford on February 8th 1998. At the time of her disappearance, Fiona was a single mother to an 11 month old daughter, Emma.
The night of Sunday 8th started off normally and Fiona spent it socialising with her friends at Butler's Pub in Broadway, County Wexford which also happened to be close to her home. Her friends Nora, Joan and Martina all described Fiona as being in good spirts that night but did state that she kept complaining of a bad pain in her arm. Her friends and Garda later considered that this could have been related to a past relationship she had broken off. Fiona had suffered immense physical abuse at the hands of a former boyfriend and had hospitalised herself after being violently attacked on numerous occasions. Her injuries had included bruises to her face, bites to her legs, being beaten about the head and back and even a fractured jaw. She had confided in close friends details about these attacks but never filed any complaints against the perpetrator. Despite this pain in her arm, however, Fiona seemed to be in good form and enjoyed a good night out with her friends. At one point, she called her brother Séamus and asked him to come down to the pub but he declined as he was tired after a long day at work. He later stated that he wondered if something had happened to Fiona while at the pub and had she contacted him as a way of seeking help. Either way, this was the last contact Fiona had with her family. At around midnight, Fiona decided to return home as the pain in her arm was causing her great discomfort. She supposedly asked her ex-boyfriend, a man by the name of Seán Carroll, if he could walk her home. Carroll was the father of Fiona's child and although their relationship had ended, they allegedly remained on good terms. He had been drinking alone at the premises and willingly agreed to walk her back to her home, which wasn't far from the pub. They left together shortly after midnight.
Fiona wasn't reported missing until February 18th, 9 days after she was last seen leaving the pub. Her family hadn't reported her missing sooner as she reportedly had a habit of traversing the country to visit people and would sometimes be without contact for several days at a time. However, after 9 days of silence, her family knew something was terribly wrong, especially as she hadn't contacted Sean's family, with whom she had a childcare arrangement, to collect her daughter. Her father, Pat, then filed a missing persons report. Seán was the first to be interviewed as he was the last person to see Fiona. He told Gardaí that he and Fiona had walked back to her home slowly as her pain was causing her immense discomfort. Upon entering her property, he offered her coffee but she declined and went immediately to bed. He slept on the sofa that night while she went to sleep in the upstairs bedroom. He awoke at 9am and went into Fiona's room where he woke her up and she had told him that she would be visiting the doctors in Bridgetown to see about her arm. Seán gave her some money and then left the house as his mother had arrived to collect him. She drove him home to Coddstown, two miles west of Broadway. He stated that when he left, Fiona was awake and sitting up in bed.
When Garda began to investigate Fiona's house in the hopes of finding clues, they were met with an unusual sight. According to a Gardaí officer, "Her house was immaculately cleaned, almost spotless. This was unusual for Fiona, especially as she had been suffering from arm pain before she disappeared. Her family told us that she was not house proud and she would have always had some mess lying around. Because of this, we don't believe Fiona tidied the house. We searched everywhere for clues but found nothing- everything had been painstakingly cleaned". Fiona's landlord also stated that because of her young daughter, anytime he went to visit the house it "always had bits and bobs scattered around". Fiona's neighbour's reported that in the days after her disappearance, numerous black bin bags appeared outside of her house. However, these had vanished by the time she was reported missing. Several weeks after her disappearance, a local farmer came forward to Garda and stated that while he had been tending to his cattle, he stumbled upon numerous bin bags dumped on his property and that when he opened them, he found numerous letters and documents addressed to Fiona Sinnott. Regretfully, he was unaware of her disappearance at the time and had burnt the bags as he believed it to be the result of fly tipping, something that was a big problem then.
As of today, 26 years later, no trace of Fiona has ever been found. However, in 2005 her case was upgraded to a murder enquiry. Shockingly, when her family attempted to erect a memorial plaque in 2008 close to the pub where she was last seen, it was destroyed the night before being unveiled and a second plaque was also destroyed a few months later. However, a third plaque remains to this day down by the harbour. Despite these setbacks, her family have not given up hope of finding her and bringing her home. They have stated that they know exactly who killed her but that the perpetrator now resides in mainland Europe. Garda have also stated they have a person of interest but, as the family stated, they no longer live in Ireland. According to Fiona's family in their most recent Facebook update, she was "terrified" of Seán after their turbulent relationship and would never have asked him to walk her home. They believe he followed her out of the pub without being asked, contrary to the original version of events. He also reportedly told her landlord multiple times that she was in London just after her disappearance, which was quickly disproven. In addition, a woman's scream was heard at around 12:30am in the Kisha Cross area, roughly halfway back to Fiona's home. Finally, Seán had told Fiona's family that he had slept on the sofa, which is odd as she had a spare bedroom that he could have used. He also claimed that he slept on the chaise lounge which makes no sense as it was only 3 feet long. Although this information is telling, no convictions have been made and Fiona's remains have never been found. Until this happens, her family will not receive the peace and closure they deserve and their nightmare only continues.

'Missing' by Barry Cummins

Last year I rented a property through a leasing agency in my area that I had heard could be a little sketchy. I typically would not have even entertained working with them but I was in a crunch and this location would keep my children from disrupting their lives during a difficult period. This all does not matter much, except that because I knew they were a little sketchy I tried to be absolutely the best tenant possible. Paying rent early, dealing with any issues on my own as per the lease agreement, etc.
I was shocked when I received by disposition letter and was flagged for $2340 worth of repairs and issues.
The sketchy part of this is, my lease was up March 31, 2024. The asked for notice of whether I would renew on December 12, 2023, I already knew I would not be renewing. January 10th they sent an electronic move out inspection to be completed by me within 5 days of receiving it. I completed it to the best of my ability with anything that needed to be fixed, the majority were items I listed on my move in inspection that were not repaired. Over the next three months they scheduled multiple people to come over and fix these areas, it was incredibly annoying that I had to work so many people around my schedule when they could have just repaired once I was out.
I was never notified, or given a copy of the move out inspection which should have occurred within 72 hours of my key handoff. I had a list of cleaning tasks they required, with the vendos they approved for use, which cost about $800 to complete in order to have a better chance of getting a deposit back. I completed all of these items, and provided receipts.
I reached out over the next 30 days to inquire about my deposit or disposition as I heard from them DAILY during my last 2 weeks with constant reminders on my tasks to complete and when to handover keys, but heard NOTHING the second they had keys. I was told they had 45 days as per the lease to provide any documentation regarding my deposit.
On the 43rd day of their timeline they release the Disposition Letter with no receipts, no details on when this work was done.

How is this possible they can charge all of this? They state they found wipes and assessed a plumbing lease violation. I've never used wipes, don't even buy them because they wreck plumbing. The drains and toilet were functional when I moved out, but how the heck do you prove that with pictures? They bill for a new storm door when the door I was given was old and not fully functional and I noted it in my move in assessment. The reinspection and scheduling fees being lumped and not listed as to when they were assessed seems unfair, per their lease agreement these fees would be $75 per occurrence. I'm just absolutely shocked, appalled, irritated.
I moved to a home near this property, literally a block away. They had a new tenant in within 10 days of me being moved out.

I applied to rent a few places in the Gatineau. Quebec seems to love application fees for rentals! I did not experience this in my previous rental search experiences in Ontario.
4 of 5 Gatineau places I applied for asked for an application fee. 3 of these 4 indicated what would happen with this fee upon refusal or approval. 1 of 4 has been completely unprofessional.
2 places approved me and said they would put that fee towards the first month rent. The one I ended up going with did just that.
1 place refused me & refunded the application fee.
Before seeing this company's 1.2/5 stars on Google reviews, I applied with them, they are a self-proclaimed "leader in Property Management in Outaouais" who's company reeks of young entrepreneur with money investing in real estate and doing the bare minimum as a property management company. Again, I realized this after the fact and after sending the requested $65 application fee.
By this point, I was numb to application fees and Gatineau rentals, it was just a part of the process.
They did not indicate at any point this wasn't refundable (or else, I would not have applied with them).
Pertaining to this application fee, their email said:
"Please note there is a 65$ fee per application, after signing the application, please proceed with the interac e transfer to this email address (email address redacted), using password (this password). Once approved, we will prepare the lease for electronic signature, and you will be sent the Docusign link directly from our property management platform."
That's all the written information in any correspondence from them pertaining to their required application fee.
I applied on April 19th, did not receive any decision email, request for further information or even a confirmation of receipt. After approval from another landlord with a similar property, I sent follow up emails for my application fee back. Left voicemails. Nothing was returned to me, not the money or a response.
Today, I decided to send another email indicating these are my last attempts before I go through my bank's fraud department. Decided to call multiple times and try all the options on their phone lines. After multiple calls to the resident response line that goes directly to a cellphone and not a voicemail, the leasing manager finally decided to call me back to say "Your application was refused. We do not refund the application fee if you are refused." and he refused to budge on this, justifying it with "if we don't approve the application, we don't have a viewing and we don't refund the fee" which explains why he didn't get back to me for the viewing I requested but apparently they also don't tell you if you are refused either. Incredible.
Is what they did right and I'm out $65 or not? I will still go through my bank to see if I can get this returned based on the paper trail and zero response back from them and zero indication that this was non-refundable. Feels fraudulent. Additionally, if this is in contravention of any Quebec laws or policies, I would like to report them to the appropriate tribunal because they probably get away with this and make bank off people who don't know better.
Please advise accordingly, I have lots of time on my hands and I'm petty if you're messing with my money. If they've operated legitimately and its just bad customer service, I'll move on and take the L.
