Baby Bumpers November 2019
2019.02.17 21:06 nottaclevername Baby Bumpers November 2019
A place for all November 2019 parents! October and December fence sitters welcome! This is the November branch of the Baby Bumps community.
2024.05.15 15:11 Longjumping-Tap-1675 Apartment leasing situation
I moved in December and signed a leasing agreement with Meridia ‘Luxury’ apartments.
Ever since there has been a number of things that have made this decision regretful.
I am paying $2.2 monthly for a 1 bedroom in Linden, NJ.
Here are my concerns:
There’s constant mold in the sink, toilet and shower. It’s an everyday situation.
I didn’t have parking in my building for the first three months of my lease and still had to pay the $100 parking fee to park in another building across the street.
Then when I did get assigned to the parking lot in my building (spots opened up after people got evicted as I was told), the parking spaces are so tight my car has gotten hit multiple times. I have video footage, and photos of everything.
The laundry room is covered with ‘not working’ signs from other tenants. You put your clothes to dry and come back to check, the dryer is not working. As well as other machines that just take your credit. One time the laundry room was filled with these paper signs and were removed for an open house weekend.
There’s window drafts in the apartment. In the winter you could feel the cold drafts and this required to put the heater up high to keep the apartment warm.
When I first moved in I took photos of scratches on the floor from previous owners and noted down on a sign off sheet of any damages to the apartment that was required. I also noted that half of the outlets weren’t working. None of this was addressed as well.
Last, the lack of management or security in the buildings. There are always people hanging out in the lobby late at night and it reeks with the smell of weed. Tenants let their dogs pee in the lobby and don’t clean it up.
It is noticeable that several people have been through the same based on recent Google reviews. As well there are always people moving in and out.
I spoke with the leasing office managers and they just gave bs excuses to all of these problems.
For the parking situation I was told to: File a police report. To park across the street again in another building and still pay the $100.
For the mold: to put work orders for maintenance.
For the window drafts: that there is no proof and to put a work order.
For the laundry room: How much did I lose in credit and if I called to get a refund.
For the weed stench and dog pee odestains, that they will send out another email addressing this.
Leasing agreement asks for 60 days notice + two months rent.
I asked to negotiate based on the given conditions of living. I was willing to leave mid month and give one months rent.
I know the agreement has its rules. But this wasn’t what I signed up for nor were these problems part of any agreement.
They asked for another opportunity to address these situations but I don’t think will actually resolve anything because I am not the first to complain.
I have records of everything and what I’m looking for is any possible guidance of how I can go forward with this situation without having to pay the additional two months rent they are asking for to terminate the lease.

2024.05.15 15:09 Fragrant_Tutor8631 My Ozemra review: Ozemra vs PhenQ vs Serolean - comparison of ozempic effects mimicking natural supplements & alternatives
Alright so If you're on the hunt for a natural alternative to Ozempic for weight management, Ozemra offers an interesting option. From my perspective, it's got a strong focus on boosting metabolism and controlling appetite (especially with its glucomannan and chromium), which are key for shedding pounds.
But while it sounds promising, its effectiveness can vary depending on individual factors like your diet, lifestyle, and how your body specifically reacts to its ingredients.
Overall, I’d rate it at 3.5 /5, with
PhenQ beating it at 4/5, as better Ozempic alternative.
This post discusses all such potential Ozempic alternatives.
One issue is glucomannan is
only at 200 mg in Ozemra, with more potent glucomannan based weight loss supplements use it in much higher quantities. Glucomannan like Berberine, is a potent appetite suppressant,
Here I've listed out more glucomannan supps. worth checking out.
I have also compared Ozemra comprehensive with PhenQ and Serolean in my review.
However, none of these supplements – PhenQ, Ozemra, Serolean contain Berberine, which is recently most talked about ingredient as natural Ozempic alternative.
While PhenQ mimics berberine with the use of a strong Nopal cactus fiber, Ozemra does it with glucomannan.
If you’re sepcifically looking for best berberine for weight loss, I’d recommend a
supplement by Dr. Sam Robbins - Blood Sugar Optimizer. I recommend
reading this article on Berberine supplements.
Comparing Ozemra with Serolean and PhenQ, here's the lowdown: if you're someone who struggles mainly with emotional eating, binge-eating and stress-related cravings, Serolean might be more up your alley and suit you more.
It targets weight loss not just by suppressing hunger but also by improving your mood and reducing stress, increasing “serotonin levels” which can be a game-changer if these are your main stumbling blocks.
On the other hand, PhenQ could be a good fit if you're looking for an all-in-one weight loss supplement that targets weight loss from multiple angles. It not only helps with fat burning and appetite suppression like Nature’s Ozempic but also includes ingredients that help prevent fat production and improve mood and energy levels. This makes PhenQ a comprehensive solution, which might appeal to you if you want multiple benefits in one go.
In essence, Ozemra is a solid choice if you're primarily looking for a metabolic boost and appetite control without too many extras.
However, if your weight loss journey involves tackling mood fluctuations or if you need a more aggressive approach against fat accumulation, then PhenQ or Serolean might serve you better.
Intro
If you're diving into the overwhelming world of weight loss supplements, you might have stumbled upon Ozemra. This product is buzzing in forums and among fitness enthusiasts as a natural alternative to some of the heavier prescription options out there, like Ozempic.
In this post, I’ll break down everything about Ozemra—from what it is, how it claims to work, to the critical take on whether it's as good as it sounds or just another bottle on the crowded shelf.
As someone always on the lookout for effective and safe ways to manage weight, I was intrigued but skeptical. I'll walk you through my unfiltered thoughts on Ozemra and its fat-burning stages, plus a deep dive into its ingredients.
What is Ozemra? Ozemra pitches itself as a revolutionary, non-prescription aid for weight loss, prominently highlighting its natural composition. If you are like me, wary of side effects and long ingredient lists that sound like a chemistry exam, Ozemra’s approach might initially catch your eye. It boasts a formula packed with components like glucomannan, green tea extract, and other natural ingredients known for their health benefits.
However, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Each ingredient in Ozemra is supposed to support weight loss through different mechanisms. For example, glucomannan is a dietary fiber that helps you feel full longer, potentially cutting down your calorie intake. Green tea extract is celebrated for its metabolism-boosting and antioxidant properties.
While these ingredients are impressive on paper, the real question is about their concentration and synergy in the product. Just having them listed isn't enough; they need to be in effective doses to truly work, which many supplements often skimp on to cut costs.
How Ozemra Works: The 4-Stage Fat Burning System If you're curious about how exactly Ozemra claims to tackle weight loss, they’ve laid out a 4-stage system, each targeting a different aspect of weight management. Here’s a rundown from a user perspective:
- Stage 1: Appetite Suppression - The journey starts with controlling your hunger. This is where the glucomannan comes into play. It absorbs water and expands in your stomach, theoretically helping you eat less. From my experience, while it does help a bit, don’t expect miracles. You’ll still need to control your eating habits actively.
- Stage 2: Metabolism Ignition - Next up, Ozemra claims to fire up your metabolism, helping you burn more calories at rest. Ingredients like green tea extract are supposed to boost this process. However, if you are someone who already struggles with caffeine sensitivity, the added natural stimulants might feel overwhelming rather than energizing.
- Stage 3: Lipolysis Trigger - This phase focuses on breaking down fat. Here, substances like L-carnitine come into the mix, which in theory helps transport fats into cells to be burned for energy. People may notice a slight uptick in how they feel during workouts, possibly due to this, but it won't be the drastic fat loss promised.
- Stage 4: Optimized Energy Utilization - Finally, Ozemra aims to ensure the energy from the fat being burned is efficiently used. It’s supposed to help you feel more energetic and less sluggish, even on a calorie deficit. While there's a mild boost, it's comparable to any decent B-vitamin complex.
Each stage of this system sounds great on paper, but in practice, the effects are more subtle than you might hope. If you’re looking for a dramatic change, Ozemra’s gradual improvements might feel underwhelming.
Plus, consistency is key; these pills alone won’t work wonders without proper diet and exercise.
How I evaluate Ozemra?
Blood Sugar Regulation: 3/5 If you are looking for a natural supplement to help manage your blood sugar levels, Ozemra has some notable ingredients. The combination of chromium picolinate and chromium nicotinate glycinate in Ozemra is impressive, as chromium is known to enhance insulin sensitivity, which can stabilize blood sugar levels. However, I would say it doesn’t fully mimic the comprehensive glucose management effects of Ozempic. It provides a moderate benefit, suitable for mild cases or as a supplementary measure alongside a balanced diet.
Appetite Modulation: 3.5/5 When it comes to suppressing appetite, Ozemra is pretty promising. Ingredients like glucomannan and the dietary fiber from ingredients like cayenne pepper can help fill you up and decrease overall appetite. This mimics one of Ozempic's benefits, making it a decent natural alternative if you're looking to curb those hunger pangs effectively.
Metabolic Enhancement: 3/5 Ozemra includes ingredients like L-Carnitine and a significant amount of caffeine from the Phenterex Caffeine Anhydrous Complex, which can stimulate your metabolism. These ingredients are effective for boosting metabolic rate to some extent, but the effect may not be as significant as Ozempic’s indirect influence on metabolism through glucose management. Therefore, if enhancing metabolism is your main goal, Ozemra provides moderate support.
Energy Optimization: 4/5 If boosting your energy levels is crucial for your weight loss journey, Ozemra could be a beneficial supplement. The high levels of Vitamin B12 and the stimulating effects of caffeine anhydrous contribute significantly to energy optimization, helping increase physical activity and vitality. This aspect of Ozemra is quite effective, making it a good natural alternative to support energy levels, though with a more temporary effect compared to the sustained energy regulation one might see with Ozempic.
Weight Management Support: 3.5/5 When you're looking for a supplement that supports sustainable weight loss, Ozemra seems quite capable. The presence of L-Carnitine helps with fat metabolism, essentially aiding the body in burning fat for energy, and cayenne pepper can enhance fat oxidation. These ingredients, combined with the appetite-suppressing effects, make Ozemra a solid choice for those aiming to manage their weight naturally. However, it may not be as powerful as Ozempic, which has a more direct effect on weight loss through its influence on insulin.

2024.05.15 15:06 Hopeful1121 Does this count as clinical experience?
This might be a dumb question but I applied to this job to be a Behavioral Technican and this is the job description:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Plan and prepare meals
- Follow behavioral programs
- Assist with physical therapy exercises
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
Im asking this because I've seen mixed reviews on whether a Behavioral Technican counts as clinical experience and I kinda wanted to know if in this case it counts or if this is more of caregiver role?

Freshco (price matcher)
- Bacon (Schneider's) - $3.99 375g pack -- Good price for brandname bacon. Sale also extends to some of their wieners and bologna.
- Frozen burgers (Compliments) - $9.99 1.13kg box (8-pack) -- This stretches us down into a $3/lb mark for beef. Which is pretty good all things considered, but know it's a processed meat. Read the ingredients: beef, water, bread crumb, soya flour, and salt and seasoning. You're paying for recovered meat mixed with bread crumb and flour. And the nutritional info on the pack reads 73% daily value of sat-fat in one 142g burger. A 152g fresh patty lands you at 60%. Know your food!

Giant Tiger (*note the VIP prices; sales begin today) (price matcher)

- Canned tomatoes (Primo) - $3.00 for 2 796ml cans -- Good price for nice tomatoes. Funny enough, in this week's flyer, they advertise the Great Value (housebrand) tomatoes for 1.77 being 50c, but if you buy two Primo cans they work out to 50c less than the Great Value (confused yet? Lol)
- Fireworks - various -- LOL I just wanted to mention they got fireworks and firecrackers hahaha
- Produce Price Rating: Generally on the low side.
Green Fresh Supermarket (Vanier) (check
https://greenfreshottawa20.wixsite.com/greenfreshottawa)
- Produce Price Rating: Usually very competitive, catering to Asian cuisine. Warning: their newest sales start on Fridays - so this is a late advertising of their sales.
IGA (price matcher)
- Hotdog wieners (Lafleur) - $5.00 for 2 packs 375-450g -- More hot dog prices for our analysis. I'm noting these to get a sense of what the heck is going on with these….
- Lobster (cooked or live) - $7.75 per lb -- Scene Member Price. 9.75/lb regular. Awesome deal!
- Tomahawk steak - $13.99 per lb -- That's pretty good for a fancy steak cut. I like thick cut steak because you can get that and crust without overcooking the meat. Pro tip: always salt and set your steak uncovered to dry in the fridge. That's what gets you a top-notch crust!
- Veal loin rack - $13.99 per lb -- This is more interesting than a value proposition. Expect a decent-sized rack to run you a pretty penny, but it should cook nicely. Remember to let it rest after it reaches the desired internal temp. Be patient!
- Whole chicken (fresh) - $1.99 per lb -- Great price!!
- Eggs (Nutri, Burnbrae) - $5.79 18-pack -- Not a ground-breaker price. Maybe it's just nice see some price stability in egg prices.
- Corn - $4.00 for 10 ears -- Excellent deal at 40c an ear!
- Cherries - $4.99 per lb -- Awesome!!! Cherries can easily reach into the $8-9/lb range.
- Bologna (Lesters) - $5.49 675g chub -- This is a good price for a chub. It's not fancy deli, but it beats the prices by 2-3x or more given you're paying 81c/100g.
- Deli - Cooked ham (Olymel) - $1.99 per 100g -- Speaking of deli prices, consider this unholy monolith slab of ham versus that slice-it-yourself bologna. This "hamalgum sibling" is 2.5x the price of the bologna by Lesters… Just saying…
- Produce Price Rating: Medium
Independent - Pork back rib - $3.99 per lb -- Meh price for pork rib… $3/lb is good, but $4/lb doesn't seem worth it when it's largely bone anyway! I'd rather buy the duck they have for $4/lb….
- Atlantic salmon - $9.99 per lb -- Average price for pink fish.
- Beef striploin steaks (AA) - $7.88 per lb -- Good enough price for steaks, but FoodLand had AAA grade for the same price.
- Duck (fresh, grade A) - $3.99 per lb -- Good rate for duck.
- Asparagus - $2.99 per lb -- Meh rate. There's better.
- Strawberries - $2.49 454g shell -- Good price for strawberries.
- Butter (Lactantia) - $5.99 454g bar -- Sigh… I wish butter would come down in price…
- Produce Price Rating: fairly high with few exceptions
Loblaws - Pork back rib - $3.99 per lb -- Meh price for pork rib… $3/lb is good, but $4/lb doesn't seem worth it when it's largely bone anyway! I'd rather buy the duck they have for $4/lb….
- Atlantic salmon - $9.99 per lb -- Average price for pink fish.
- Beef striploin steaks (AA) - $8.88 per lb -- Ben là là! Same AA steak, $1/lb more…
- Beef boneless blade roast (AA) - $8.99 per lb -- Ok price for beef… It's kind of meh… Consider visiting local butchers to see what they have going on.
- Duck (fresh, grade A) - $3.99 per lb -- Good rate for duck.
- Sweet potatoes - $3.99 5lb bag -- Great price for sweet potatoes
- Mini-cucumbers - $1.99 6-pack -- "Save $2". Ya, we know Loblaws. I've been saving $2 on these packs for months now at other stores.
- Blueberries - $1.99 full pint -- Great price for blueberries!
- Mango - $0.99 each -- Fair price for mango considering I've seen Loblaws charge much more for them. Also, I expect we'll see some nice sub-$1 deals in the future.
- Butter (Lactantia) - $5.99 454g bar -- More $6 butter.
- Produce Price Rating: fairly high with few exceptions
Provigo - Pork chops - $2.49 per lb -- Good price for pork chops.
- Chicken breast and thighs (boneless skinless) - $4.99 per lb -- Good price chicken.
- Atlantic salmon - $8.99 per lb -- Good price for pink fish.
- Corn - $5.00 4-pack -- What?! How can we have these disparities… Maxi has theirs for 33c an ear. That's $1.30 versus $5 for 4 ears… Insane difference in price…
- Watermelon (9lb average) - $3.88 each -- Nice price for watermelon.
- Mango - $0.99 each -- That $1 deal again. "Save $2". Meaning regular price was $3. Insanity.
- Deli - Mock chicken (Gaspésien) - $1.29 per 100g -- Good price for deli, but it's mock chicken. I would refer back to the IGA deal on Lesters bologna. Buy whole chubs, slice it yourself, and save.
- Produce Price Rating: fairly high with few exceptions
Maxi (price matcher)
- Ground beef (medum) - $8.88 1.1kg -- About 2.5lb of beef, which clocks this in at about 3.50/lb. That's pretty good!
- Corn - $0.33 per ear -- Awesome price for corn! It's crazy. Provigo had their 4-packs for $5. Which
- Mini-cucumbers - $0.88 6-pack -- Very nice! A regular "good deal" is $2.
- Coleslaw kit (Florette) - $1.88 340g kit -- Great deal for a salad kit.
- Potatoes (Imperfect) - $4.88 15lb bag -- Excellent!!
- Mini-carrots - $4.88 2lb bag -- This is a good deal given a 2/3lb bag can be $2-3.
- Watermelon - $2.88 each -- Nice price for watermelon, but no weight advertised.
- Kiwis - $4.88 600g pack -- Pretty good. Can be as low as $4, but this is a fair price.
- Apples (Cortland, Empire) - $5.88 4lb bag -- Ok price for what should be over-winter apples. Mind the bruising.
- Fancy cheese deal - $18.00 for 3 -- Check the flyer and in-store for more details.
- Sriracha (Flying Goose) - $3.88 730ml bottle -- Nice! It's a different brand, but the price is right. I wonder what the difference is.
- Silk plant bev - $6.88 for 2 1.75-1.89L jugs -- Good deal.
- White vinegar - $2.88 for 2 4L jugs -- This might be good to get in advance of some pickling plans.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally medium low pricing! This store can post some impressive deals at times.
Metro - Pork back rib - $2.99 per lb -- Good price for pork rib. It's that magical $3/lb mark. It's hard to find rib for less. And, I wouldn't pay over $3/lb.
- Beef top sirloin steak or roast (AAA) - $6.88 per lb -- Great price for AAA grade beef! They also have "platinum angus medallions" for 8.88/lb.
- Fresh sausage - $4.99 per lb -- Great price for fresh sausage. You can spend $1/lb more and get organic stuff by Dubreton.
- Cucumber - $0.77 each -- Awesome!!!
- Cauliflower - $2.99 each -- Decent. Not amazing, but decent given a head can go for $4-5 easily.
- Portabella mushrooms (Belle Grove) - $6.99 4-pack -- Hmm, I'll have to keep an eye out for prices on portabellas. This doesn't seem that bad off the hop. I know sometimes you can get 4-6 packs for about $4-5, though. But, you have to hunt around town for deals like that.
- Blueberries - $1.99 full pint -- Great price for blueberries!
- Cherries - $5.99 per lb -- Nice! Fair sale price for cherries!
- Watermelon (15lb average) - $9.99 each -- Trying to make sense of these watermelon prices. This isn't as good as some other deals. But considering on the same page they advertise 1.49/lb for sliced watermelon, it suggests this watermelon could cost you up to $22.
- Butter (Selection) - $4.88 454g bar -- $5 butter.
- Produce Price Rating: High. Kinda like Sobeys. You can see a 50% average mark-up compared to a lot of other stores. It's nice produce, but it costs you.
No Frills (price matcher)
- Beef burgers (No Name) - $9.99 1.36kg 12-pack -- Just more frozen burger musing. Basically much like the Compliments ones we saw earlier, but 113g each, but with more sugars and funny ingredients, and the same amount of sat-fat! (And they skip mentioning that 75%-ish daily value number for the sat-fat). Like, what the heck are "onion extract" and "corn syrup solids". Do they squeeze the onion and throw away the rind? And isn't solid syrup just solid sugar? lol....
- T-bone/Wing steak - $6.99 per lb -- This might seem like a good deal, but it's ungraded beef. Why pay this price when metro has AAA-grade steaks for a smidge less?
- Picnic pork shoulder - $2.44 per lb -- Excellent price! These are AWESOME for smoking and braising for pulled pork!
- Ground chicken or turkey - $8.00 870g pack -- Not bad. Works out to about $4.20/lb or so.
- Ground beef (lean) - $6.00 450g tube -- Really a meh price for "tube meat".
- Steelhead trout fillet - $9.99 per lb -- Standard pricing for pink fish.

- Green beans - $2.99 per lb -- Same with the green beans, I expect a bit better.
- Cucumber - $0.99 each -- Good price for cucumber.
- Mini-cucumber - $3.99 11-pack -- Fair price on the 11-pack. Meanwhile, Maxi has the 6-pack for 88c… Sigh…
- Watermelon (9lb average) - $2.99 each -- Good price for melon.
- Ataulfo mangoes - $5.64 5lb case -- This should work out to about 8 or so mangoes. Good deal.
- Pineapple - $2.99 each -- Good price for pineapple.
- Brick cheese (Armstrong) - $5.49 400g bar -- Hmm, ya, seeing some 50c to $1 upward pressure on cheese pricing a little everywhere….
- Earth's Own plant bev - $3.79 1.74-1.89L jug -- Good price. Regular floats well into the $5-ish ranges.
- Dry pasta (Italpasta) - $1.25 750g packs -- Good price for dry pasta. Stock up a little. Maybe there's a potluck pasta salad in your future.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally quite low, selectively amazing for some items.
Produce Depot (usually a little late on the flyer)
https://producedepot.ca/ - Ground beef (lean) - $4.99 per lb -- Fair rate for ground beef. Considering No Frills is selling 450g tube meat for $6, I'd buy this in a heartbeat. It's just not stock-up pricing.
- Beef New York striploin steak - $12.99 per lb -- I wish they'd mention the grade, but if it looks nice, it could make for a nice BBQ item.
- Whole atlantic salmon (fresh) - $6.99 per lb -- Now, it's not filet and deboned, but it's a heckin' deal for salmon.
- Wild-caught squid - $8.99 per lb -- Perhaps there's calamari in your future?

- Red seedless grapes - $1.99 per lb -- Fantastic price for grapes! Often $4/lb.
- Peaches - $2.49 per lb -- These are from the USA. It could be a they come out a little tough. Leave them on the counter to ripen, but eat them fast after that!
- Cheese counter - Landana smoked cheese - $2.39 per 100g -- I'm partial to smoked cheese. This could make for a nice fancy burger topping.
- Deli - Genoa salami (Mastro) - $2.59 per 100g -- This isn't fantastic pricing, but fair. A 600g chub can clock in at $10-12 or so, this deli counter pricing is fairly competitive.
- Produce Price Rating: Medium-low with very competitive specials on a shortened flyer. The small flyer is nice because it doesn't uselessly feature $6 heads of cauliflower and extremely high-price items that are either a confusion on the consumer, or an insult on the injury of not being able to afford supreme quality items.
Real Canadian Superstore (price matcher)
- Beef rib-steak (ungraded) - $7.88 per lb -- More ungraded beef at graded prices.
- Pork tenderloin - $3.49 per lb -- Fair price for tenderloin.
- Duck (frozen, grade A) - $3.99 per lb -- Fairly regular price for duck.

- Pineapple - $3.00 each -- Good price for pineapple.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally medium-low pricing, selectively amazing for some items.
Sobeys - Chicken thighs (boneless skinless) - $5.99 per lb -- Fair price for boneless chicken. There's better out there, however.
- Beef striploin steaks (AA) - $8.77 per lb -- Scene Member Price.
- Beef sirloin tip roast or marinating steaks (AAA) - $8.99 per lb -- Hmm, striploin AA versus sirloin tip AAA… Might be a toss up. Sirloin is leaner and has less marbling. But AAA might lend to a tenderness. This may be give and take, here…
- Lobster (live) - $10.99 per lb -- Scene Member Price.
- Pork chops - $3.49 per lb -- Not a great price, really, but it may be your option if you're stuck with Sobey's this week. Ad mentions it includes roasts.
- Picnic pork shoulder - $3.49 per lb -- We saw No Frills offereing this at 2.44/lb. A $1/lb more isn't great, admittedly. But, it's an option.
- Asparagus - $2.44 per lb -- Good price!
- Green beans - $2.67 per lb -- Good price!
- Bok choy - $0.99 per lb -- Amazing price. I don't get how other places charge $2/lb+ for choy, and then you have Sobeys of all stores swooping in to corner that side of the market.
- Asian pears - $0.99 per lb -- Awesome price!
- Brick cheese (Cracker Barrel) - $5.77 400g bar -- More of this elevated cheese pricing… Hmm….

- Corn - $1.88 for 5 ears -- Awesome price!! Under 40c an ear!
- Broccoli - $1.33 per crown -- Very good price for broc, especially if the crowns are nice. A good crown can easily range over $2.
- Radishes - $0.99 per bunch -- Nice! A good addition to salads or veg trays.
- Green onions - $0.99 per bunch -- Fair price for green onion. It's hard to find it under $1.
- Mini-carrots - $0.99 340g bag -- Nice!
- Mini-cucumbers - $1.99 6-pack -- Fair going-rate now for mini cuce. A very welcome change from charging $4 for these packs.
- Mini-potatoes - $1.99 3lb bag -- Good price for mini potatoes. There's still better value in regular size potatoes most of the time. But, sometimes, these sales can negate that value proposition. Plus, these are nice a thousands ways to Sunday. They cook very quickly, and are great oven-roasted, steamed, and BBQ'ed with other veg.
- Apples (Empire, Spartan) - $3.99 3lb bag -- Fair price for apples these days, it seems. I think we'll be hard-pressed to find certain varieties for under $1/lb for a while.

- Brick cheese (Black Diamond, Ptit Quebec) - $4.87 400g bar -- Nice to see we still ahve sub-$5 cheese options this week.
- Fancy cheese deal - $18.00 for 3 -- Apparently includes 20 different varieties.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally low, but can creep into medium for some items. But, there's always something decent available!
T&T Supermarket https://www.tntsupermarket.com - Produce Price Rating: Usually very competitive, catering to Asian cuisine. Warning: their newest sales start on Fridays - so this is a late advertising of their sales.
Walmart - Ground beef (lean) - $3.97 per lb -- Excellent rate on ground beef! Make your own burgers!!!!
- Chicken or Pork kabobs (Marcangelo) - $7.87 480-640g 8-packs -- It's basically $1 a kabob. That ain't bad for a ready-to-cook item. But, note that this translates essentially into 8/lb at worst, or 5.50/lb at best. There are WAY better deals on pork and chicken around.
- Asparagus - $2.97 per lb -- Fair price for asparagus.
- Corn - $0.32 per ear -- Best price on corn this week!

- Strawberries - $1.84 454g shell -- Awesome price!!!
- Pineapple - $3.97 each -- Not bad. I like to see $3, and less shouldn't be taken for granted. Remember, it takes 2 years to grow a pineapple. One bad fungal disease and we should see these shoot up to $6-8 a piece. Treasure well-priced pineapple!
- Brick cheese (Armstrong) - $4.94 400g bar -- Another $5 brick cheese sale.
- Produce Price Rating: A little all over the place. Some really good prices between a lot of average pricing.
Costco (Note that these are the online/shipped prices - reduce each item by $3 for in-store pricing)

- Toilet Paper (Cashmere) - $24.99 40-roll pack -- 2-ply; 250 sheets (on sale)
- Dish soap (Dawn Platinum) - $18.99 2.66L -- Food Basics often has this jug for $10!
- Laundry detergent (Purex) - $24.99 9.24L -- 250 loads

- Countertop green bin liners - $21.99 125-pack -- Amazon has Glad Compostable green bin liners 100-packs for $18, sometimes less if on sale
- Produce Price Rating: I need to do a proper check to be sure, but I find it's pretty average. There's an illusion of getting a good deal because of the bulk. Just be careful.
Jean Coutu (new sales start Fridays)
- Produce Price Rating: I have to start checking these just in case...
Shoppers Drug Mart (new sales start Fridays)
- Produce Price Rating: Sometimes they have cheap butter, eggs, and milk on weekends.

JUPITER, Fla., May 14, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dyadic International, Inc. (“Dyadic”, “we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: DYAI), a biotechnology company focused on the efficient large-scale manufacture of proteins for use in human and animal vaccines and therapeutics, as well as non-pharmaceutical applications including food, nutrition, and wellness, today announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2024 and highlighted recent Company progress.
“We continue to execute our business strategy to focus on near-term pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical applications for our proprietary and patented C1 and Dapibus™ protein production platforms and pipeline products,” said Mr. Mark Emalfarb, President and CEO of Dyadic. “One of our key highlights was the successful completion of a Phase 1 clinical trial that met its primary endpoint of safety and reactogenicity affirming the safety of proteins produced by Dyadic's C1 platform in humans. We believe this milestone not only establishes the safety of our platform but also provides a solid foundation for C1 technology’s future applications in human and animal vaccines and therapeutics. With the H5N1 ('Bird Flu') virus outbreaks in poultry and U.S. dairy cows, along with one recent human case, we are seeing an increasing interest in our H5N1 'Bird Flu' ferritin nanoparticle human vaccine candidate, developed with ViroVax. Additional animal studies indicate that the vaccine candidate has the potential to generate high neutralizing antibodies for use in cattle. Our Q1 2024 achievements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to enhancing our microbial platforms for diverse applications, and our dedication to improving health for humans and animals, while tackling the challenges of sustainable food production.”
Mr. Emalfarb continued, “As we progress into the second quarter, our Company continues to focus on enhancing the Dapibus™ platform, designed specifically for non- pharmaceutical uses in industries such as food, nutrition, health, and other bioproducts. To accomplish this goal, we have honed our business development strategy, focusing on key areas where our technologies can deliver the greatest impact with shorter commercialization timelines. Our strategy includes simultaneously targeting multiple offtakes for a single product in several corresponding business segments and seeking out new opportunities that are in line with our strategy.”
Joe Hazelton, Dyadic’s Chief Operating Officer, elaborated, “In addition to operational advancements, we also strengthened our financial position with the issuance of $6.0 million in convertible notes, which will be used to accelerate and exploit our strategic objective of near-term revenue generating products and commercialization opportunities for pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical applications. We believe that product opportunities such as recombinant human albumin and alpha-lactalbumin provide Dyadic with multiple monetization opportunities as a licensed product or cell line in pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and food applications. We are confident that our strong position, both financially and scientifically, will enable us to implement our business plans with improved capabilities and resources. We are enthusiastic about our future prospects and remain committed to providing value to our customers and stakeholders.”

~Human Health Sector~
DYAI-100 Phase 1 Clinical Trial DYAI-100, a C1-SARS-CoV-2 recombinant protein RBD vaccine candidate, is the first C1-expressed protein tested in humans. The Phase 1 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was designed as a first-in-human trial to assess the clinical safety and antibody response of DYAI-100, produced using the C1 platform and administered as a booster vaccine at two single dose levels in healthy volunteers. Following regulatory clearance from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), the trial was initiated in 1Q 2023, with the last patient visit occurring in 3Q 2023. On November 29, 2023, the Company announced the top-line safety results, indicating that the study has met its primary endpoint that both the low and high dose levels of the vaccine are safe and well tolerated among participants. Additionally, the vaccine has been shown to induce immune responses at both dose levels, suggesting its potential efficacy in generating protective immunity against the target virus. The study has been finalized, and the final Clinical Study Report has been issued, demonstrating that the DYAI-100 vaccine met its primary endpoint of safety and reactogenicity.
- In April 2024, Dyadic and its development partner ViroVax reported pre-clinical animal testing on a ferritin nanoparticle H5N1 bird flu recombinant protein human vaccine candidate that demonstrated a strong immune response in rabbits. The potential vaccine combines Dyadic’s C1 single step ferritin nanoparticle H5N1 antigen production with a novel adjuvant from ViroVax. Additional animal studies are being carried out that preliminarily show that this H5N1 bird flu vaccine has the potential to be used in humans.
- Successfully expressed H1N1 influenza antigen in the fully funded research collaboration with the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center (“VIC”) at Massachusetts General Hospital to express vaccine antigens for influenza A and other infectious diseases, as part of a US $5.88 million award from the Department of Defense (“DoD”).
- On March 25, 2024, the Company entered a funded research collaboration with a top ten pharmaceutical company to develop a vaccine antigen and a monoclonal antibody produced from the C1 technology.
- In March 2024, a manuscript of preclinical studies on C1-produced monoclonal antibody in non-human primates and hamsters was published in the prestigious peer-reviewed journal Nature Communications. A non-human primate challenge study completed dosing of a C1-produced COVID-19 monoclonal antibody (mAb) that had previously demonstrated broad neutralization and protection against Omicron (BA.1 and BA.2) and the other earlier variants of concern in hamsters. Preliminary results obtained from the challenge study with the SARS-CoV-2 Delta virus on non-human primates demonstrated potential high protection. This was the first time a C1-produced monoclonal antibody was used in a non-human primate study validating the safety and efficacy of a C1 produced antibody for infectious diseases.
- On February 28, 2024, the Company’s Dutch subsidiary, Dyadic Nederland BV, entered into a strategic partnership agreement and collaboration with Rabian BV (“Rabian”), a Dutch innovative SME founded by experienced entrepreneurs and vaccine scientists. The decrease reflected the winding down of activities related to the Company’s Phase 1 clinical trial of DYAI-100 COVID-19 vaccine candidate and a decrease in the amount of ongoing internal research projects.
G&A Expenses: General and administrative expenses for the three months ended March 31, 2024, increased by 20.9% to approximately $1,789,000 compared to $1,480,000 for the same period a year ago. The increase reflected increases in business development and investor relations expenses of approximately $138,000, audit fees of $99,000, management incentives of $59,000, and other increases of $59,000, offset by decreases in insurance expenses of $29,000 and legal expenses of $17,000.
Loss from Operations: Loss from operations for the three months ended March 31, 2024, slightly increased to $2,126,000, compared to $2,050,000 for the same period a year ago.
Net Loss: Net loss for the three months ended March 31, 2024, was $2,010,000 or $(0.07) per share compared to $956,000 or $(0.03) per share for the same period a year ago. The increase in net loss was derived from the sale of the Company’s equity interest in Alphazyme LLC for $989,000 in 2023.

2024.05.15 14:35 Zehnpae Darksiders 3 - (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly)
Darksiders 3 is a hack and slash adventure game developed by Gunfire Games. Released in 2018, Darksiders 3 asks the question, "How much more obvious do we have to make it that the developer has an underground BDSM kink?"
We play as Fury, one of the more reasonable members of the Riders of the Apocalypse who have been charged with fixing the ever growing screw up that was the supposed end of the world.
Gameplay is a mix between a hack and slash brawler and souls-lite. Enemies are numerous and swarming but also kill you in two hits if you don't time your dodges just right. Some metroidvania elements exist with backtracking to open up secrets/new areas as you gain new attacks.
The Good
One thing I do loves is when series games acknowledge and call out mistakes they made in the past. In my review of Darksiders 2 I griped about how every single quest comes in 3's. It's always get 3 this, find 3 that, kill 3 this. Early on in DS3 you come across a chamber where you have to gather 3 swords and the protagonist mutters, "It's always 3 isn't it? I hate it when the Creators take shortcuts." I felt seen.
Level design is great. Every area flows into the next and then back again, which I enjoy. I love when games feel like a connected world. Given the variety of environments this is a rather impressive feat. DS3 also features that timeless graphic style popularized by World of Warcraft so even 20 years from now the game will hold up visually.
The Bad
It tries to be a souls-like, hack and slash, metroidvania hybrid and falls a bit short on all accounts. Enemies have fast instant lunge attacks, auto-hit tracking and come in packs of 4+ but you fight like you're in dark souls with narrow dodge windows and animation locking. It's the first game in a long time where I had to set my controller down because I was getting sick of the games bullshit.
You'll pass numerous locations you need items you get later to access, but there's no mapping feature to keep track of this. Remembering the 40+ blocked off locations you passed can be a bit rough so your options are either to backtrack the entire game, use a 100% spoiler guide or just not bother with it.
The Ugly
The controls take awhile to get used to and you can't change them. For some ungodly reason dodge is R1 instead of the B button. Swapping combat forms in battle has a delay and feels very unnatural. Whip swinging often decides to just not work. Trying to select and use a buff item in combat is an exercise in futility.
To compound on that, one nitpicky issue I did have is also many puzzles/levels require you to be in a specific 'stance' or elemental form. Switching between them has a bit of an input delay so if you hit the wrong one you tend to huff as you wait to switch again. If you swap to the wrong form or are doing a puzzle which requires frequent swapping it gets a bit obnoxious.
Final Thoughts
The level layouts are fun and the boss fights are cool. It's when the game tries to marry hack and slash with souls-like that it starts to crack. There's a fine line between difficult and stupid and too often the game leans into stupid territory. As obnoxious as it is, the rest of the game is redeeming enough to make it tolerable. The story is pretty rad, especially if you're a fan of the apocalypse.
Interesting Game Facts
There, of course, is a nude mod. However, far more interesting are the model replacer mods. Eventually I got curious enough to try them out. It's a lot harder to take the end of the world as seriously when you're playing as Fiona from Adventure Time.
Thank you for reading! I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with Darksiders 3!

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Oxford, United Kindgom--(Newsfile Corp. - May 15, 2024) - Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc (NASDAQ: ADAP), a company redefining the treatment of solid tumor cancers with cell therapy, today reports financial results and business updates for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024. The Company will host a live webcast at 8:00 a.m. EDT (1:00 p.m. BST) today. Adrian Rawcliffe, Adaptimmune's Chief Executive Officer: "Support from the sarcoma community continues to highlight the high unmet medical need for new therapies for synovial sarcoma and we are making great progress preparing for the commercial launch of afami-cel on approval. Behind afami-cel, we plan to launch lete-cel for synovial sarcoma and MRCLS in 2026 with projected peak US sales of $400 million for our sarcoma franchise." Sarcoma Franchise with afami-cel and lete-cel - U.S. FDA accepted the BLA for afami-cel for the treatment of advanced synovial sarcoma with priority review and a PDUFA date of August 4th, 2024
- The BLA mid-cycle review meeting was held with FDA in April
- FDA GCP Bioresearch Monitoring Program (BIMO) inspections have been conducted at Adaptimmune and at selected clinical sites that participated in the pivotal SPEARHEAD-1 trial

- 100% of the customer facing commercial and medical affairs teams is now in place
- Company launched www.Tcrtcell.com: an unbranded website aimed at educating healthcare providers about TCR T-cell therapy in solid tumors, including synovial sarcoma, and the role of biomarkers and testing to determine future treatments
- The second product in Adaptimmune's sarcoma franchise, lete-cel, is being investigated in the pivotal IGNYTE-ESO trial (NCT03967223), which at a planned interim analysis exhibited response in 18/45 of patients (ORR 40%). The primary efficacy endpoint requires 16/60 patients have responses, so this trial has met its primary endpoint for efficacy. The full pivotal analyses are anticipated in late 2024.
- Lete-cel will enable Adaptimmune to expand its addressable synovial sarcoma patient population by targeting the NY-ESO cancer antigen, in addition to MAGE-A4 targeted by afami-cel, as well as treating Myxoid Round Cell Liposarcoma (MRCLS) patients.
- Sarcoma franchise of afami-cel and lete-cel leverages same development and commercial footprint with US peak year sales projected to be up to $400 million

- Data from the planned interim analysis of the pivotal IGNYTE-ESO trial with lete-cel to be presented by Dr. Sandra P. D'Angelo, M.D., Sarcoma Medical Oncology, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in an oral presentation at ASCO entitled "Lete-cel in patients with synovial sarcoma or myxoid/round cell liposarcoma: Planned interim analysis of the pivotal IGNYTE-ESO trial" during the Developmental Therapeutics-Immunotherapy session in Hall D2 on June 3, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. CDT

2024.05.15 14:07 ImANobodyWhoAreYou Larry on twatter - reminding us that the DD has always been right 💎🙌
| “A great learning exercise is to review all of the original diligence done prior to making an investment, years after making the investment. Word-by-word, line-by-line, number-by-number. What happens with the benefit of hindsight is certain numbers, certain words, certain observations from the original diligence jump off the page. What might have been innocuous points that blended into a sea of diligence at the time of the investment now elevate themselves into being the key elements that disproportionately drove the entire trajectory or outcome of the investment. And it is with the clarity of that lens that when now doing due diligence on a new investment - you just know that certain aspects of this diligence will pop years later as the core drivers of the outcome. The key is to discern which items will be those disproportionate levers in advance. Therefore, the best way to train one’s mind to see those levers in advance is to go through the process of reviewing past diligence, word-by-word, line-by-line, number-by-number, to see them in prior investments to train one’s eye for future investments.” submitted by ImANobodyWhoAreYou to Superstonk [link] [comments] |
2024.05.15 14:03 Zealousideal-Gur2791 Week 2 Done - 3.2 kg / 7.05 lbs Down
| Week 2 done and lost 1.6 kg, a total of 3.2 kg in 2 weeks. 3rd injection done today as well. - Nausea: none
- Heartburn: none
- Headache: none
- Vomiting: none
- Diarrhoea: none
- Constipation: yes
- Hypothermia: none
- Injection site reactions: none
The second week was slower as expected despite me averaging 1,185 kcal every day and exercising at least 5x a week. I'm ok with this because I feel like I can sustain this longer-term as the cravings and food noise as most have also commented on has gone for me as well. I feel like I can live my life without food having to constantly occupy my mind on a day-to-day basis. Thoughts like what do i eat? / Where can i eat? / I want to eat x food / when can i eat? / i'll cook this x food on x / i really want x food / etc... - ALL GONE and there is peace in my head and most importantly in my tummy. It never growled once since I have been on MJ- which is very comforting. Even scents don't entice me to eat anymore, .e.g whenever I smell a whiff of fried chicken or pastry on the high street - it really has zero effect on me, as in neutral. I don't have to fight the thought of not eating it - the thought just does not exist. It feels like I can happily sit next to all sorts of junkie but hearty foods I like and be content with them being just next to me and not in my mouth and not have to fight them or condemn then or hate them. Absolute game changer. Another win is I injected for the first time today without having to review the instructions again 😅. Will see if I can get the (elusive?) 5th dose. Will need to get extra needles from Amazon for this though. Week 3 here we go! I started creating my own weight loss chart now as well to keep me motivated. The dotted blue line is just a linear projection but I expect this to fluctuate over time. submitted by Zealousideal-Gur2791 to mounjarouk [link] [comments] |
2024.05.15 14:00 aSeKsiMeEmaW Narc brother gaslighting elderly dad to convince him to hate me by isolation and lies to gain full future inheritance. Sad to see karma of toxic parents come full circle :/
I’m realizing my brother is narcissist and despite my mom being a malignant one I didn’t piece it together my brother is one until his abuse against my dad has escalated to medical. Everything toxic and bad he does to my dad he lies or reframes it to me doing it to my dad not him. He says I stole money that was paid to a home health nurse after my dad’s stroke. Despite receipts and my dad choosing the nurse himself at the time my dad will side with my bro because he’s scary, sneaky and manipulative.
My dad tried to gift me a small amount of money for my health care for him at one point my bro has reframed it as attempted theft. Despite me never asking for this money or even accepting when my dad told me take the money.
My brother is now POA and gets my dad’s full social security of nearly $4k a month. He removed me from having viewing access of the account 6 months ago so I don’t know what he does with the $4k on but there is no food in the fridge and my brother leaves my dad home all day and doesn’t hire any outside care. Earlier this week I showed up unannounced with spaghetti to try and reason with my dad and let him know I’m here to help. My used two hands to shovel it down he was so hungry . There was no food there, the kitchen is infested with flies and rotting food, and my brother didn’t come home until 5. There was nothing there for him to eat. I brought water flavor additives my dad had asked for last time I saw him in DEC and I sent my bro Amazon links to buy it for him in Dec. he never did.. my dad hates water and has a hard time drinking it without flavor,
I vaccumed his little area full of dog hair changed his pee stained sheets. My dad was happy and Grateful we did arm and leg exercises took his blood pressure and added it to his health apps the last update was in August when he still lived with me my brother hasn’t taken his BP once
My brother comes home i hoped we could talk to set up scheduled help and care for my dad from myself or someone else. My brother starts yelling My dad asked for peace. Sadly, Due to decades of my moms abuse and training he thinks im the reason my brother rages and yells and my bro won’t communicate with me is my fault. So when ever tension is high we all revert to our exodus family roles, where I’m the scapegoat and can’t hold my ground and bro goes AH-Ha see she’s manipulating US by crying :/
This lash time my bro said he hates me and can’t give peace. I now see he’s hurting my dad to hurt me. He said my dad’s care is fine and im not needed and my dad can never leave the house to visit me and im not welcome there. My dad asked for 2 weeks every other month to visit me and his lawyer will be in touch since my brother said he will need paperwork like a custody agreement to allow him out. Insides him to put it in writing that we will be sorting out future visits my bro refused and started cursing and I felt triggered and left. My dad said he was going to talk to the lawyer the next day and call me. He hasn’t called. I can’t call because my brother claims I call to harass my dad when i call. I get it my dad gets confused and frustrated so I can’t ask follow up questions without trigging his frustration on these events.
My brother who hasnt talked to me since he added himself to my dads back account in Jan said he will file a restraining order and call the cops on me if I ever come again and my dad’s lawyer is ready to file it, he even said remember it’s the lawyer YOU said my dad needed. It’s some smiley lawyer my bro found who goes along with my bro. I’ve called a few times but the lawyer is sleazy and old with one foot out the door
. I’ve been my dad’s biggest supporter. My brother withholds info and creates confusion between me and my dad ever since he went to live at his house because I couldn’t afford to keep my dad here since my bro was gate keeping all his money at the time.l despite my dad begging for his money. My bro mad asking for money so stressful and down the wire time and time again it broke me in addition to the full time care and I had a mental breakdown and he was temp sent to my bros but my bro has convinced my dad I kicked him out! I was literally on the verge of unaliving myself due to my brothers financial and emotional abuse and lack of sleeping for 6 months of around the clock beside care for our dad who could not walk or eat on his own, and he holds that over my head. My bro said I made my choices to get in that position, I dug my hole, and I am just manipulative
To make this stuff believable and hard to follow for an old man, I can barley keep up
. My dad’s doctor called APS when my brother stopped filling his meds and my dad got afib. The doctor called me after not being able to get ahold of my dad or bro for a tele health appointment I had been seeing issues on my dad’s Apple Watch for 2 months and told her about it she connected it instantly to the meds.
My brother before even filling the meds changed medical Poa to himself (my dad does whatever anyone says) then my brother told him to get a new pcp because me and the doctor lied and he’s been getting his meds and I gave him the afib from stress by calling him and upsetting him
My dad is now isolated from me and his doctor his only 2 other trusted longtime care takers. My dad has no one else in his life and my brother can start over with no set of backup eyes on his subpar care
He’s killing my dad. My dad’s lawyer doesn’t care since my bro is POA when I call my dad’s lawyer he just tells my bro the concerns I’ve raised who escalates his mental abuse on me and my dad.
My dad refused help from social worker who called APS the report says my dad downplayed the meds l my brother neglected that they’re were filled elsewhere. My brother said it was miscommunications with the doctor because of me getting involved, when I was only called because my brother didn’t answer or return the doctors calls. Even after he filled the meds it was the wrong dosage I could see from my dads heart rate and I texted and called my brother I had to call the doctor to call my dad to convince him to change the dosages. Because When I called my dad my brother said I was lying and everything was fine . .
brother is killing my dad if my dad dies first my mom will leave everything to my brother and he knows it and he will get away with it
There is nothing I can do. I’ve spoken to a ton of lawyers who offer not ways to help besides forcing my dad in to a guardianship and my brother will fight that and kill my dad with stress.
I feel sad and helpless but my dad never protected me from my mom and Bros abuse growing up. Had he done so and left her wouldn’t be in this mess. it’s sad and sick to watch a toxic family’s end cycle that’s all

2024.05.15 13:38 iSpywmyfkingeyes M1 MBA or MBP 13 in 2024?
I’m about to get an used m1 macbook but considering between the air and the pro 13. I’ve been watching bunch of reviews and comparisons but can’t decide which is better for my budget and usage. I mainly use adobe illustrator, photoshop, capture one pro or lightroom, 10 to 15 web browsing tabs for research. So most of the time i run both adobe apps or photo editing app at the same time and a few tabs for my work. I aslo work on google docs and sheets. I also plan to run parallels or crossover for some windows apps and features. So I’m wondering if the MBA would throttling when running multiple tasks for it has no fan at all. If the throttling is not a big problem and the MBA still running smoothly with those tabs, should I go for it? And since the MBP is $100 more than the MBA at a same specs, is this worth spending more for the MBP?

2024.05.15 13:13 BoysenberryIll1396 Could staph be causing all of this? Pics in comments
Please tell me if this could be staph. I can’t get into the doctors until next week.
22F, no meds but take omega 3s, iron, vit D & magnesium.
So, for context. I work as a home support carer showering elderly and cleaning their homes. I always wear PPE and sanitise when I get back in the car. Please keep in mind prior to starting my elderly care work I didn’t have any skin issues/allergies anything of the sort. I change my sheets & pillowcases frequently, I eat well and don’t have dairy. I exercise, sleep 8 hours and drink water. I can’t figure this out. Also note, I wasn’t able to be registered with the GP until April 2024 - small town & they were full.
September 2023: picked up a new client who is covered in spots, she says they aren’t itchy but she pics them. They are all over her body.
September 2023: started getting random skin issues, lump behind ear (image 2), lump on lip (image 5&6), eczema symptoms on hand & eyelids
November 2023: went to urgent care to see if they could tell me where my problems were coming from. No luck. They swabbed my lips for MRSA and it came back negative.
From Dec-Feb my problems pretty much cleared up (except for the self diagnosed eczema)
March 2024: (image 3&4) got two spots on my right bum cheek - hurt so bad I couldn’t sit properly and it felt so hard around the area. The red and hard area was the size of a bread plate. It also got weird straight lines like outward dents I was doing warm compresses during this time and it went away on its own.
April 2024: finally was registered for the GP - got blood tests done, they were clear. Not sure if that’s relevant. I did have low iron but have since been taking supplements and I put that down to not eating a lot of red meat.
Late April 2024: got what I thought was an ingrown hair, hurt to lift my arm for a few days. Again, did warm compress and it went away on its own.
Fast forward to May 2024: on the 10th, I got a tender red spot near my belly button - thought it was an itchy bite. It hasn’t gotten bigger but it’s still red and slightly tender if I touch it.
However, on the 11th I noticed this spot on my left hip, which is the 1st image. It’s getting bigger, it’s tender to touch and it’s hard. Image 1.
My questions:
Could it be staph causing all of these issues? Can these ‘staph’ boils just flare up anywhere even though my client has never touched my bum or hip? Is the best thing for me to do, to stop looking after this particular client ASAP? If my lips were swabbed for MRSA in Nov 23 and it was negative - does that mean I didn’t have it or just that my lips didn’t have it? I suppose I’m asking if they have to swab the area where the infection is.
I will see the doctor as soon as they have a space open for me.
Appreciate any and all feedback! Pics of some of the issues I’ve mentioned are above.

What Is CRM Software?
CRM software is a tool for managing sales pipelines and customer relationships. It helps businesses track interactions with leads and customers, moving them through stages of the sales process. CRM systems provide visual pipelines, stage-specific actions, and features like reporting dashboards, workflow automation, and document management. The right CRM depends on your business’s specific sales process and needs.
How do I choose a CRM for my business?
To choose a CRM for your business, start by assessing your specific needs. Then, find CRM software that offers the features you require. Consider the pricing, customer service, and ease of use to determine its overall value for the cost.
Are there free CRMs available?
Yes, many CRMs offer a free tier, but these are often basic and may lack the necessary features. However, they are useful for testing the product and evaluating its user interface.
The best CRM software, such as Pipedrive and HubSpot, integrates seamlessly with existing systems, offers robust features for managing customer relationships, and provides insightful analytics to drive sales and marketing strategies. Choosing the right CRM can significantly enhance customer engagement and streamline business operations.

2024.05.15 12:45 jocelberries New Shop - Please Critique!
I would love to get some feedback on my Etsy shop:
https://jocelberries.etsy.com - I sell unique handmade toddler clothing. I started sewing for my daughter because she had some weird niche toddler obsessions (pigeons and beetles), and I was able to find fabric that was perfectly on theme, and make her some clothes. She was delighted by the clothes with all of her favorite things and I was getting a lot of complements on her unique outfits. I figured there must be other parents out there that want to give their weird kid some weird clothing!
- I’m hoping this will be a great way for me to exercise my creative outlet while also earning some extra money to put towards my child’s education. All profit will go straight to education savings for her (something I try to highlight in the About Me).
- I started building it up in April and really opened it up to the public via social media in May. I updated all my pictures with ones that use a nice clean white background (thank you old bed sheet) and am steadily adding listings as I sew them up on weekends. Since it’s been about a month, I’m looking for some feedback to expand my reach so I can find my niche. I’m only getting a handful of visits a day, even with Ads ($1 a day).
- My ultimate goal is to make 3-5 sales a month by this time next year.
Thank you so much!!

2024.05.15 12:37 TheDon2805 Is the time for filling OMR sheet personal details included in the 45 mins to attempt the paper?
We got our English paper at 3 01 PM and started filling everything (application no., roll no, test booklet no., mother's name, father's name, signature etc.) and had to darken a shit ton of circles. And the invigilator also came with the attendance sheet and asked us to write the booklet code. This easily took 10 minutes of the paper and we had roughly 35 mins to solve(probably lesser, but this is a rough estimate). No one in the entire hall was able to complete the paper confidently. Most attempted 30-32 questions and those who touched 38-40 just fluked a lot of them. Has this happened everywhere? Just confirming

2024.05.15 12:33 BoysenberryIll1396 Please tell me if this is staph. I can’t get into the doctors until next week.
September 2023: started getting random skin issues, lump behind ear, lump on lip, eczema symptoms on hand & eyelids November 2023: went to urgent care to see if they could tell me where my problems were coming from. No luck. They swabbed my lips for MRSA and it came back negative. From Dec-Feb my problems pretty much cleared up (except for the self diagnosed eczema) March 2024: (see pics) got two spots on my right bum cheek - hurt so bad I couldn’t sit properly and it felt so hard around the area. My questions: Could it be staph causing all of these issues? Can these ‘staph’ boils just flare up anywhere even though my client has never touched my bum or hip? Is the best thing for me to do, to stop looking after this particular client ASAP? If my lips were swabbed for MRSA in Nov 23 and it was negative - does that mean I didn’t have it or just that my lips didn’t have it? I suppose I’m asking if they have to swab the area where the infection is. I will see the doctor as soon as they have a space open for me. Appreciate any and all feedback! Pics of some of the issues I’ve mentioned are above. submitted by BoysenberryIll1396 to Staphacne [link] [comments] |
