So I literally wasted 19,99€ + 19,99€ + 29,99€ + 29,99€ = total of 99,96€ in the past two days.
I realized that my new HP deskjet 2710e only prints something like 70 color A4 pages with all those ink cartridges even with the lowest quality print setting. >:(
I learned that you can refill cartridges with ink refill sets and wanted to ask is these something I must know before refilling the ink cartridges and put them back on, so the printer still will accept the refilled ink cartridges. Anything to software to disable, remove ect? The actual refilling I think I already get.
Printer game has some of the worst asshole designs out there. Thanks for your help!

2024.05.14 22:06 XMRNeighbor Printer driver only for x86. Is there an alternative?
I just set up my new RPi Zero 2w that I intended to use as CUPS print server with my old Canon iP4200 Printer. The printer didn't work out of the box (Even though I though there were no driver issues w/ linux). Than I found this driver (https://www.openprinting.org/printeCanon/Canon-PIXMA-iP4200) but couldn't install it since it is apparently designed for x86. Is there anything I can do? God I hate printers,

 | When I shut down my computer overnight and reboot it this happens to my monitor, it slowly lessens until the point it’s working normally again, but sometimes takes 10-15 minutes, any reason why this would be the case? It’s almost as if the monitor has to “warm up” that’s the only way I can describe it as illogical as it is. I got this for free off my brother so I’m not concerned about sending it back for repair or anything like that just curious what could be causing it. I’ve checked wires etc they’re all good. 2024.05.14 22:02 Necessary-Tea-8867 Bambu Cloud Service Down?
I didn't see anything on the support page, but I can't seem to send print jobs to my X1 or P1S. I've restarted both and have downloaded the latest version of Bambu Studio.
I seem to be getting error code -3060. The jobs going to the printer take forever and then eventually timeout part of the way there.
If the Cloud Service is down, it would be helpful to get some sort of notification from Bambu on this.

Clarinha has been buried at Maruípe Municipal Cemetery today, May 14th, at 1:45 PM. Her funeral was attended by hospital staff who took care of her. Coronel Jorge Potratz, the doctor who watched over her during these last 24 years stated "It is a great relief to close this chapter, allow her spirit to rest properly. The cycle is closing, but her story remains open." He placed a white rose in her hands before the casket was closed.
She'll have a tombstone with her picture, the name "Clarinha" and a bible verse that still has not been choosen.
My write-up on the case:
Okay, so it's my first write-up here. I had always wondered why Jane/John doe cases were so famous in English speaking countries, while here in Brazil lots of unindentified people pass away everyday and no one bats an eye. We don't even have a name like "Jane doe" for those people, I think.
Well, there's a notorious case of an unindentified woman who passed away recently that caught my attention. On June 12th, 2000, a woman who had been hit by a car was brought to São Lucas State Hospital in Vitória, Espírito Santo state. It was lovers' day in Brazil (our version of Valentine's) and she was a white woman who didn't have any form of identification on her. I wish I could find more details on the incident, but I can't. She was rescued by an ambulance and was uncouncious when she got to the hospital, and spent the next 24 years that way.
It was noted she had a c-section scar, which meant she had had at least one child, but no one ever came to look for her. They tried to identify her so she could receive some sort of pension, but they weren't able to. On the next year, she was transfered to the Military Police Hospital and has been there ever since, under the care of Dr. Jorge Potratz, and has been named Clarinha by hospital staff. Dr. Jorge had been taking care of her as if she's his own daughter, paying for personal care items for her with his own money. Besides that, Brazil's Unified Health System allowed her to be hospitlized for the past 24 years without anyone having to pay for her healthcare. She didn't need any kind of life support besides a feed tube due to problems in swallowing caused by the accident. A doctor noted that in the scale for comas, which goes up to 15, she's around 7 or 8.
On 2016, TV show Fantástico did a segment about her, which brought the attention to the case. Several missing people families came from all over the country to check on her, but it was no success. A woman from Minas Gerais state thought she could be her missing sister. Her sister left the town of Ipanema on 1999 stating she was going to sell clothes. She left all her documents and 2 kids behind. It wasn't her.
They tried to take her fingerprints, but since her hands remained closed as a result of the accident, her fingertips got all roughed up and they were unable to get a clear print. Norma, a nurse who took care of her, said she called the name of a missing person who was thought to be her and Clarinha opened her eyes for a moment, the article doesn't specifies but I think it was proven it wasn't her.
Clarinha passed away on March 14th, 2024 after sufferig bronchoaspiration (no idea of what it is). They think she was around 40 or 50 years old. The police compared her DNA and figerprints to 12 missing people cases and found no match. Dr. Jorge Potratz took care of all the legal requirements for her to not be buried as an unindentified person.

Personal comments I have regarding the case:
- They did collect her DNA and probably still have it. Yeah, genetic geneology could help solve the case, but it's not that common here in Brazil due to being extremely expensive.
- She was buried, which means her body can still be exumed if needed.
- She was not on life support, the only medical care she needed was being fed through a feeding tube, which was probably how she ended up dying. "Turning off life support" would mean letting her slowly starve to death.
- In one of the G1 articles I posted down here, there's a picture of her with her eyes open. They're brown.
- Yeah, she could be foreign, as well as she could be Brazilian. There's the human trafficking theory going around and I wanted to note that this kind of thing happens a lot in Brazil, people are trafficked from one state to another, she could very well be one of those cases, although I think someone would have said something at this point. I
- "Imagine the cost of keeping her alive for that long!!!!" Free healthcare, don't worry about that. Really.
- Maybe some international attention would help solving this, that's why I'm making this update post.

I'm going to try to keep this short, but also give enough information for analysis and advice. Feb. 20, 2024 I underwent the All-on-4 procedure for my top arch. I'm a 29-year-old female battling with chronic illness my entire life. That, paired with other factors, has caused massive tooth decay in my mouth starting very early. I have some fears regarding dental work related to a bad experience having my wisdom teeth & "12 y/o molars" being removed at 15. But I got over it and sought the treatment. Open and willing to do whatever was needed to get my smile back and be able to eat normally. I've lost over 30 pounds in the last year, and I'm basically malnourished at this point.
I went to an implant clinic local to me and financed a 20k loan for just my top arch. Thats all I can afford right now. This whole experience has been SO traumatic for me.
From being fully awake through the whole process, after I was promised that between the night before meds and morning anxiety medication along with nitrous that I would be totally out. The meds were never called into the pharmacy. I was told me they would only be available the night before for pick up. When they weren't found at any pharmacy in town , I called and their office was closed already. Nobody answered the after-hours line. So I just had to show up at 7am for my procedure without having taken them. I let them know and they told me that the nitrous should still knock me out. Which i believed to be true, past dental work with it would have me knocked out!
But I sobbed and cried and prayed for almost 6 hours while they extracted 14 teeth, it wasn't quick or easy at all, then they placed my implants. 5 of them.
All of my care has been from different providers at the same office. The dentist who I was told would be taking care of my entire process did my numbing shots then left. Someone I didn't know took over. I've never seen her in the office since that day. This has happened almost every follow up.
My pain for the first month was truly unbearable. I work 45 hours a week and they promised me I would be totally fine to work. I wasn't. I did still work without missing a single day, but that was by the grace and strength of God. Also, the demand of my huge loan payment monthly. The gum pain, nerve pain, constant intense throbbing finally subsided less than a month ago. I still get a lot of throbbing at my implant sites, but I continue to hope it's just the osseointegration that I'm feeling.

They refused to do any scans, check my stitches that never dissolved, I had to nicely demand the remove them after about a month in half because they were all untied and hanging out of my temp but also lodged underneath it.

It even feels completely unbalanced in my mouth and moves and makes loud clicking noises. I've timed the amount of time I am cleaning and water flossing in a single day and it typically is about an hour total. Yet my mouth tastes terrible all the time. I can feel food lodged between that I'm not able to get out. I've told the dentist this every single time and I'm ignored.
I have so many questions and concerns regarding this whole experience, but most importantly is this:
Next week I start getting fitted for my permanent teeth. I feel so insecure in my knowledge of how this is supposed to look, fit, and feel. I dont know how to properly advocate for myself and care. I always trust the experts. I'm not a dentist, they are. But I dont trust mine. He has mislead me on many things, gets angry if I say i don't want or like something. For example my current and only temp just simply doesn't fit. It looks ridiculous. I'm not the only person wo has expressed this. My entire family has said the same things. But he refused to even discuss a differnt temp that I have had to wear for months. I explained it not even the aesthetic that I can't deal with its the fit and feel. He was clearly annoyed and told me he's not making another. Mind you he prints these in office with a 3d printer. When I had something almost pertruding through my gums in the front of an implant site he wouldn't do a scan. They finally agreed to do it at my next appointment, only because it's time anyway since this would be my first scheduled "pre op" appointment. If I hadn't been there by request weekly the first two months this would've been the only time I was seen or checked in this whole process.
My screws have fallen out and been replaced. Each time this happened I asked if they would please just check underneath for trapped food and I was told No every time. With no explanation. If anyone at all could give me ANY info or advice I would be so grateful. I can elaborate more on anything needed I just don't want to ramble and complain. I just wanted my smile back and the ability to eat. Im down to 94 pounds. Eating is barely possible. They didn't tell me anything about my diet restrictions until after the implants were in. I totally get why it would be soft foods only, but I don't understand why they wouldn't tell me things like this at my consult. It's one of the many things that I feel was ignored and left out when discussing this treatment option for me.
One final thing. While adjusting my bite one day he was filing down the implants in the back. I must note that my bottom teeth aren't in great condition but I'm taking great care of them until I can afford to have them done as well. Without any warning the dentist started filing down MY natural bottom teeth. Not just a little, noticeably even to the eye. I made many noises and waved my hands trying to get him to stop. He continued until I got loud and was pulling my head away. He removed he his hands from my mouth clearly annoyed with me. I asked "are you filing my bottom teeth?!?!' His response- "they're bad anyway". He knows that i can't afford to fix them right now. We discussed this many times. Needless to say, I left in a complete panic attack. Why was that necessary?? Or even an option to him. I now understand dental work and standards are different all over the world. I had zero issues with the ethnicity of who provided my care. But after further research I've seen many things about dental work in India and how brutal it can be. I'm truly don't mean this in a bad way. It's just what I've read in my many hours of research on the topic.

I know they announced Powerboost 3.0 in November last year, but I'm honestly getting a little impatient at this point. I've had this printer since the first batch of Kickstarter ones arrived and I love it, but watching every other fast printer get ridiculously better quality than what is currently possible on the M5 is making me want to abandon this thing. I don't really want to as I appreciate it's robust frame and ease of maintenance, but I also want to print things quickly and have them actually work. Does anyone have any info on when this feature might become available? As far as I can see there isn't any news on it since November last year.
Currently if printing near 300 mm/s the ringing is so bad that you can basically say goodbye to any tolerances you put into your design. Planned on having a smooth hole to insert a pin and allow smooth rotation? Nope. It's ruined by ringing. The P1P is a direct competitor to this printer and it doesn't have the same issues as input shaping actually works on that machine. If they can't figure out input shaping, or Powerboost as they don't actually use input shaping they just use a generic algorithm, themselves then they should at least let me do it with some sensors and a secondary board or something. This is really my biggest problem with the printer and the only thing that is making me consider selling it and moving to Bambu. Or using it to build a voron as its replacement and then sell it.

When this game first came out, I played it without any problems. System specs:
Ryzen 2700X CPU
16gig's DDR4 3200 MHZ Ripjaw RAM
Game installed on an M.2 drive.
650 wat Corsair PSU
MSI X 470 Gaming Plus MB
Initially Zotac 1660 Graphics card with no problems
Currently RTX 3060 12 gig version video card.
Pretext: When I had the 1660 no problems at all. I bought a new power supply when I upgraded to the RTX 3060. I went through and deleted all of the shader cache from the previous GPU, all of the temp Nvidia files and did a fresh install. There is no leftover code from the 1660 that could be causing the problem. My graphics drivers are current. I've tried using DX12 instead of Vulcan. I've also verified the integrity of the fame files.
The problem: The first day playing with the 3060 everything was fine. I did get an instant crash to desktop which caused some concern. I opened up Precision X to monitor my hardware. The target temp for the GPU is 83 degrees. I was running hot in a few spots. 85 to 87 degrees. Then I had a display failure. Both displays lost signal and I couldn't power down the PC. Holding in the power button did nothing. My only option was to hit the kill switch on the PSU. I reboot, everything is fine. I look at the event viewer in windows. No errors or failures other than windows being shutdown unexpectedly.
I turn down some of the graphics options from ultra to high. IIRC it was reflections and shadows. Now the GPU is running cooler. 75 to 77 C. I still get a few CTD's here and there but I've also played for like 6 hours straight and then the display failure happens again. No overheating is taking place.
I used Precision X to fine tune the turbo clocking for my card. It lowered the high end clocking by about 20 MHZ.
Before anyone suggests the cables. It's not the cables. This is ONLY happening on RDR2. No other game, or any situation at all causes my screen to crash. Even if I were to bump a cable, wriggling it would cause the connection to re-establish. It would not cause the PC to stop accepting commands from the power button. This is a driver display crash. Also, I've read a few other posts here and there with people having the exact same problem. Only RDR2 causes this for them, and only flipping the kill switch on the PSU will work to shut down the PC.
There is something specific about RDR2 which is causing the graphics driver to flat out fail. I don't understand the cause. I get a constant 60 FPS. The card is not running hot (aside from day one) And doesn't fail in any other situation at all. The power supply isn't failing. It's a month old and has more than enough power for my system. This can't be a graphics card hardware problem because the card isn't failing in any other application. Something about RDR2 (a setting or driver issue I suspect) has to be responsible for this.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, has anyone found a fix?

Ryzen 2700X CPU
16gig's DDR4 3200 MHZ Ripjaw RAM
Game installed on an M.2 drive.
650 wat Corsair PSU
MSI X 470 Gaming Plus MB
Initially Zotac 1660 Graphics card with no problems
Currently RTX 3060 12 gig version video card.
Pretext: When I had the 1660 no problems at all. I bought a new power supply when I upgraded to the RTX 3060. I went through and deleted all of the shader cache from the previous GPU, all of the temp Nvidia files and did a fresh install. There is no leftover code from the 1660 that could be causing the problem. My graphics drivers are current. I've tried using DX12 instead of Vulcan. I've also verified the integrity of the fame files.

 | This is an ender 5 I had a clog in the extruder so I took it apart to clean it then I realized that I did something to mess up the leveling so I took a thin piece of paper and have been trying to level it for the last 5 hours. I just spent 18 minutes trying to level it everything was time so I went to do a test print and it's not level now. I'm going to try to keep this short, but also give enough information for analysis and advice. Feb. 20, 2024 I underwent the All-on-4 procedure for my top arch. I'm a 29-year-old female battling with chronic illness my entire life. That, paired with other factors, has caused massive tooth decay in my mouth starting very early. I have some fears regarding dental work related to a bad experience having my wisdom teeth & "12 y/o molars" being removed at 15. But I got over it and sought the treatment. Open and willing to do whatever was needed to get my smile back and be able to eat normally. I've lost over 30 pounds in the last year, and I'm basically malnourished at this point.
I went to an implant clinic local to me and financed a 20k loan for just my top arch. Thats all I can afford right now. This whole experience has been SO traumatic for me.
From being fully awake through the whole process, after I was promised that between the night before meds and morning anxiety medication along with nitrous that I would be totally out. The meds were never called into the pharmacy. I was told me they would only be available the night before for pick up. When they weren't found at any pharmacy in town , I called and their office was closed already. Nobody answered the after-hours line. So I just had to show up at 7am for my procedure without having taken them. I let them know and they told me that the nitrous should still knock me out. Which i believed to be true, past dental work with it would have me knocked out!
But I sobbed and cried and prayed for almost 6 hours while they extracted 14 teeth, it wasn't quick or easy at all, then they placed my implants. 5 of them.
All of my care has been from different providers at the same office. The dentist who I was told would be taking care of my entire process did my numbing shots then left. Someone I didn't know took over. I've never seen her in the office since that day. This has happened almost every follow up.
My pain for the first month was truly unbearable. I work 45 hours a week and they promised me I would be totally fine to work. I wasn't. I did still work without missing a single day, but that was by the grace and strength of God. Also, the demand of my huge loan payment monthy. The gum pain, nerve pain, constant intense throbbing finally subsided less than a month ago. I still get a lot of throbbing at my implant sites, but I continue to hope it's just the osseointegration that I'm feeling.
I went in weekly describing my pain and concerns and was ignored and told 'its normal". They refused to do any scans, check my stitches that never dissolved, I had to nicely demand the remove them after about a month in half because they were all untied and hanging out of my temp but also lodged underneath it.
I have almost ZERO ability to clean in between the acrylic temp and my gums. One side has space the other is smashed into my gums. Totally uneven. It even feels completely unbalanced in my mouth and moves and makes loud clicking noises. I've timed the amount of time I am cleaning and water flossing in a single day and it typically is about an hour total. Yet my mouth tastes terrible all the time. I can feel food lodged between that I'm not able to get out. I've told the dentist this every single time and I'm ignored.
I have so many questions and concerns regarding this whole experience, but most importantly is this:
Next week I start gettting fitted for my permanent teeth. I feel so insecure in my knowledge of how this is supposed to look, fit, and feel. I dont know how to properly advocate for myself and care. I always trust the experts. I'm not a dentist, they are. But I dont trust mine. He has mislead me on many things, gets angry if I say i don't want or like something. For example my current and only temp just simply doesn't fit. It looks ridiculous. I'm not the only person wo has expressed this. My entire family has said the same things. But he refused to even discuss a differnt temp that I have had to wear for months. I explained it not even the aesthetic that I can't deal with its the fit and feel. He was clearly annoyed and told me he's not making another. Mind you he prints these in office with a 3d printer. When I had something almost pertruding through my gums in the front of an implant site he wouldn't do a scan. They finally agreed to do it at my next appointment, only because it's time anyway since this would be my first scheduled "pre op" appointment. If I hadn't been there by request weekly the first two months this would've been the only time I was seen or checked in this whole process.
My screws have fallen out and been replaced. Each time this happened I asked if they would please just check underneath for trapped food and I was told No every time. With no explanation. Is this normal?!!? I truly don't know. But it doesn't feel normal or right. I paid 20k for this. I feel like I've been scammed in way.
If anyone at all could give me ANY info or advice I would be so grateful. I can elaborate more on anything needed I just don't want to ramble and complain. I just wanted my smile back and the ability to eat. Im down to 94 pounds. Eating is barely possible. They didn't tell me anything about my diet restrictions until after the implants were in. I totally get why it would be soft foods only, but I don't understand why they wouldn't tell me things like this at my consult. It's one of the many things that I feel was ignored and left out when discussing this treatment option for me.
One final thing. While adjusting my bite one day he was filing down the implants in the back. I must note that my bottom teeth aren't in great condition but I'm taking great care of them until I can afford to have them done as well. Without any warning the dentist starting filling down MY natural bottom teeth. Not just a little, noticiably even to they eye. I made many noises and waved my hands trying to get him to stop. He continued until I got loud and was pulling my head away. He removed he his hands from my mouth clearly annoyed with me. I asked "are you filing my bottom teeth?!?!' His response- "they're bad anyway". He knows that i can't afford to fix them right now. We discussed this many times. Needless to say, I left in a complete panic attack. Why was that necessary?? Or even an option to him. I now understand dental work and standards are different all over the world. I had zero issues with the ethnicity of who provided my care. But after further research I've seen many things about dental work in India and how brutal it can be. I'm truly don't mean this in a bad way. It's just what I've read in my many hours of research on the topic.
Dentists, assistants, anyone with knowledge or experience. PLEASE any info would be so helpful to me.
Please and thank you again. Sorry for the long post. This truly is the abridged version of this story sadly. I'm just read for this to be over. But I just need the results to be worth the 20k and the trauma.

I received my A1 a few days ago and love it! I just downloaded bambulabs studio on a laptop that I have with me at work because I wanted to be able to start prints while I'm away. However even when logged in to my account on bambulabs studio it cannot find my printer. It has the option to bind with pin code, but I cannot find the pin code anywhere when looking through the options on the printer itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all! Not sure if this is the right sub, but would love to get some help.
We create small labels to stick onto our products to identify SKU/name of product (clothing).
These labels are typically 10cm in length and 3cm in width.
At the moment, we're using a thermal label to print them onto an a5 page, and then we cut them one by one to get them into the right dimensions (laborious).
We firstly write the SKU/product name into Excel, paste the sheet into Canva, and print it using the thermal printer.
When we do print, we print 200 SKUs at a time.
I'd love to improve our process so we can easily print 200 SKUs at once using some sort of software and thermal printer set up.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Okay, my dad is texting me asking these questions from work so I may not be the most informed: he is unable to print because print preview does not pop up. The printer is attached and he is able to click the print button. When he does, it states “cannot print unless an item is selected. Select an item, and try to print again”. The area that is grayed out and not allowing him to click is the one that says “Print Options”. He is able to print from his laptop but not desktop. Any idea on why this happened?

So I've got a Mars 4 9k since last november and used it a dozen times or so. Never experienced problems untill today...
Somewhere between 80% and finish of my print today the printer threw an error saying the USB drive was disconnected and printing was stopped. I could only push a "Confirm" button. I cleaned the build plate and prepared for another try.
I checked the USB-drive, which was the original one that came with the printer, and no errors were detected. I tried the same print again using another USB-drive just to be safe. This time it didn't even get past the base to attach the supports on and threw the same error as before.
The machine is already using the latest firmware, FEP is intact, no visual signs of damage to USB or any other visible parts...
Does anybody have any experience with this?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Where can I change the setting for how the "first line" or "purge line" is located? Somehow when I recently rooted my K1 to include full klipper and have been using Creality Print 5.0, the purge line moved to smaller line right in front of the print instead of a longer line on the left hand side of the print bed.
I like the former option way better, it's easier to clean the printer without having to take the magnetic sheet of the printer, but I can't figure out how it is doing that.
Some of the gcodes I have uploaded purge on the left, and some in front of the print which is preferred, but I'm just not sure what is controlling that setting. Is this something in the printer settings or in the slicer settings?

I have an anycubic kobra Neo. I’ve been told that this printer is problematic and many of my print issues are just cuz it’s a crappy printer. Will upgrading to a nicer printer really make this hobby that much easier and fulfilling?
