Hi there! My husband and I will be taking our honeymoon in Ireland this June for 10 days. We have made a very loose itinerary, as we don't want to be too stuck to a plan in case we see anything or hear of anything that peak our interest.
I have combined our first 2 days there because all of it is in Dublin, we arrive at about noon, and after we get our rental car, get to the hotel, and all that jazz I don't know how much time we will have to do item specific things.
We are super active so the hiking won't be too much for us! Please give me all advice, ideas, and tips you may have to help make this an amazing time. Also, and recommendations on restaurants in the areas we will be would be great!
Day 1+2 Dublin- National Botanic Garde, Guinness Storehouse, Book of Kells/Trinity college, Kilmainham Gaol, Sunset at Howth Head(thinking this will be on day 1), check out interesting stores, and head to airbnb in Wicklow(end of day 2).
Day 3 Wicklow- Ballinastoe Woods, White Hill, Djouce Mountain, and Powerscourt waterfall.
Day 4 Wicklow- St. Kevin's Way Hike 16.1 miles and then head to Doolin.
Day 5 Doolin- Burren Perfumery, The Burren National Park, and Doolin Cave to see the Great Stalactite.
Day 6 Doolin- Hike from O’Connors pub to the cliffs and back. Head to Galway and check in then get dinner there.
Day 7 Galway- Hall of the Red Earl, Galway Cathedral, and Katie’s Cottage Museum & Claddagh Arts Workshop.
Day 8 Galway- Paddle Board- Rusheen Bay, check out Salthill, head back to Dublin.
Day 9 Dublin- St Stephen's Green, Little Museum of Dublin, and Shopping.
Day 10 Dublin- Go home.

I work in a public elementary school, large district but amazing SpEd department. There is a student who is SLI with intensive behaviors moving from one of our self contained K rooms to our building resource room next year, so the sending team is setting up a Google Meet during the last week so we can discuss and prepare for this student's needs. The sending psych emailed a group email to the building asking who our behavior specialists and social worker were.
Building principal responded that there was no need to include behavior staff (BIS) as principal will attend the meeting and can delegate the information. Then dictated the people who should be included from our building. These people were already on this email chain and are required members. The sending psych just didn't know who we have as SW and BIS and was asking for those names.
Principal did not notice that elementary sped coordinator was on the email. This is important.
I also replied all and added that I felt the BIS needed to be a part of the meeting so they could ask questions of the sending BIS. They're the first people called when someone is having a meltdown and their office is right next to the 1st grade rooms. Principal is all the way down the hall. I'm in the BIS office at least three times a day supporting my kid's language needs in there, and our BIS staff is amazing at implementing core boards and language strategies for my SLI kids. And they're good at their job so they should be included. I mention all of this in the email.
Principal responds that they value my opinion but as the district rep who will be at the meeting, they have the final say in who should attend and who shouldn't, and BIS time shouldn't be "wasted" in a virtual meeting.
Guess who responded next? YES! The elementary special ed coordinator. Coordinator stated that they would be assuming the role of district rep since both building principals had been invited to the meeting, and the more hands on deck we could have to help this kid prepare for a new school year, the better.
I needed that laugh today. The moral of the story? Always look at who is on the group email before you respond.

Hi y'all. I just got a job as a service coordinator for children with disabilities. I'll be working with a full caseload of children aged 0-21. All of the children have significant physical, developmental, and/or behavioral disabilities. My job is to help arrange the home- and community-based services needed for each child. We're talking things like respite care, specialized day cares and day camps, art therapy, music therapy, accessible home modifications, personal finance and life skills training, etc. As part of the job, I must visit each household once every six months to check on how the child is doing with their services and to see if any changes need to be made to their individual service plan.
I have a lot of experience working with children with disabilities in a school environment, but home visits are new to me. I would like to make sure that each family on my caseload feels that they are receiving the support they need. What are some things you think a service coordinator or other caseworker should (or shouldn't) do to provide the best possible customer service on a home visit? Do you have a favorite (or least favorite) caseworker who worked with your child? What was exceptional about them?

I currently have my personal laptop, work laptop, portable display, and steam deck in my large work backpack, I would like a bag that will fit under the airplane seat where I can keep my steam deck and my personal laptop (Framework 13), earbuds and other things I might want on the plane, instead of trying to pull it all out of my backpack/pockets as I'm getting on/off.
This backpack is too big to fit under the seat, and has to go in the overhead (it's rediculous... And awesome)
I would also like to use this for a day pack when we are on vacations/day trips into various cites
So far I've been looking at the Timnuk2 classic messenger small, but wanted to see what other bags would be a good option (and preferably a bit cheaper)

2024.05.15 01:48 _liok_ Is there an Artist-Friendly Source Control solution for just one person ?
I'm an art director experimenting a method to make an entire UE game in blender, using Usync addon, the 3d world but even blueprint coordinates. (so that's all 10x faster than in Unreal as blender is way more comfortable for moving and organizing things.) It seems to work amazingly, but Unreal is daunting, I made a couple blueprints by duplicating others (nearly nothing, just a light), and they were likely the reason why my project was constantly crahsing on startup the next day. Which felt like the end haha. As there's nearly nothing you can do. So before I manage to make a game I would probably have hundreds of such showstopper crashes where there's nothing to do seemingly as you can't even open the project to udnerstand what crashes. (and a huge amount of time is wasted waiting unreal to launch.) The only solution is usually to have a Source control to just nuke whatever changes you made the previous day, which likely made the project crash on startup. But as a solo artist with only 2 neurons for technical clicks, I'm not sure I could setup GIT for large file or solutions like perforce or else. Is there any extrelmy simple, dropbox-like way, to list, document, control the changes made to a Unreal folder, so that some can be reverted when the project starts crashing on startup ? Thanks a lot !

I'm in core lab at a large hospital in St. Louis. Everyday is the same. We're short staffed. The machines are down. The LIS is on the fritz. I'm just loading and unloading samples and making critical calls to nurses who hangup and make me redial. I'm bored of it. Micro is sent out. And blood bank sounds like a pointless stressfest. I feel like a robot most days. My husband said I'm starting to get snappy and I just seem unhappy. I hate how robotic the job is.

Hello guys, im running a airbnb in Spain and had great reviews so far. The appartement has a special tourist license and is only made for airbnb. So far only 5 star reviews and one 4 star review. I am a superhost, guests favorite and top 5%. Now I had a guest staying and leaving the following 2 star review: „The second room did not have a bed but a sofa extremely small. Power panel shuts down when using stove, washing machine and ac simultaneously. Stairs were dark until we discovered that green switches were also stair lights after we were told not to touch them by the host as they are rings by the neighbours“
1.st claim is just a lie. The second bed is a single bed that is made to a double bed which is 1.80cm (with two mattresses, slatted frame). Exactly as described in my listing (it is even bigger then the master bed) 2. power outages has nothing to do with my power panel, I live 2 mins away and when the guests texted me that the power went off I believe there was a power outage in the whole neighbourhood which is common in Spain as I explained to them. We have it a couple of times a year (nothing I can do! 3. i send every guest a message with a detailed explanation which switches are light switches + which are door bells so i guess they did not read my instructions
Also I can see in the review mail that they said that the location was inaccurate (which is just a blatantly lie, the location is a 100% accurate)
They told me they did not feel safe in the neighbourhood where I responded to them don’t worry I live next door and I chose this neighbourhood because it is way safer then the city center & never anything happened to me or my wife no matter which time of the day.
I called airbnb and they said there is no violation in their policy for the review which I don’t understand at all. How is it not defaming to say there is no bed but a sofa when there is a bad? I understand subjective criticism but this is just false. Same with the accurate location which is a 100% true and was checked by airbnb when I registered the liaising 6 months ago. It is really upsetting how less airbnb supports hosts. I told them that after my next guests who are staying in the appartement right now leave, I will send them pictures of the bed and detailed pictures of the location.
I did not text the guests yet regarding the bad review. I was always staying super friendly but gave them a medium review stating that they where better suited at a hotel as the whole communication was very slow, not friendly and responsive and just off from the beginning.
What can I do? I’m scared that especially the review with the bed now jeopardises hosting more then 2 people. Please help!

 | Come join us this Thursday as we return to The Channel Front! The old June 1941 mission has been completely rebuilt to recreate June 21st, 1941. That day the RAF flew two Circus missions attacking St. Omer and Desvres in the Pas de Calais. Heavy fighting that day resulted in six fighters and one bomber lost from the RAF formations in exchange for nine Bf109's destroyed. Come enjoy some classic Bf109E/F vs Spitfire/Hurricane dogfights over the beautiful Normandy map! Hey there...I need some advice about this. My boyfriend (35M) and I (30F) have been together for about 10 months. I started dating him a year after I got divorced from a very unfaithful man. Ex-husband cheated on me (online and physically) for the entire 7 years we'd been together (married for 2). Yes, I was stuck in a very unhealthy cycle with this man. I regret sticking it out past the first year and I've been in counseling since before the divorce. I know where I chose to ignore all the red flags by the time I found out he had cheated on me. I've been working hard to do what's right for me since. By the time we got divorced, I was so unattached, I really do believe I just stayed because it was what I knew for so long.
My counselor has been with me every step of the way during my dating journey after the divorce, and I'm brutally honest with her about everything because I don't want to make the same mistakes again. My nervous system is triggered by small things here and there still, and my boyfriend and I have been able to with through them and talk things out for the past 10 months. He knows my history and how badly I was hurt by my ex-husband (self- inflicted after the first time I caught him cheating with a girl from his hometown, I'll admit.)
My boyfriend, who has been nothing but warm, doting, patient, and consistent with me since the beginning, was also hurt pretty badly by his ex. He proposed and she took off with the expensive ring without telling him that she was leaving for good. She was in another relationship quickly after she dumped him over the phone a while later.
We agreed to be open about our cell phones, and we talked about all that a couple of months into the relationship. I'd never had a feeling in my gut that he was hiding something at all, and if I did have a question about something, he was quick to say that I could look through his phone if it made me feel more secure.
The other day, I reached for his phone to take a photo of us, and he grabbed it out of my hands, nervously saying that he'd just take the photo since I was laying down. My gut squirmed instantly. Then he told me I could look through his phone if I wanted to. So I did. I am always open with him about my phone, and he's always been open about his until this weird little interaction.
Initially, I saw he was just hiding some porn he was watching (I don't care about that, I watch a little porn sometimes, too. He gets embarrassed easily about that stuff, so I give him a hard time about it and joke with him. He is really shy when it comes to porn, but I like that about him. If anything, I've even mentioned we should watch it together just to see him blush.) So I didn't think too much of it.
Then, I saw in his Instagram messages that he had sent a few kissy face emojis along with a "Happy New Year!" to some lady. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and figured maybe it was just an old friend. He has a lot of older ranch friends from the area he's from, so I chalked it up to that. Turns out, she had lightly been putting it out there to him the week before my birthday, saying he checked off a bunch of things on her wishlist, but she wanted to know if he could ride horses. He didn't respond right away, but he did respond a few days later with a photo of him on horseback. This back and forth went on for about a month, where they'd take a few days to respond to each other, and it seemed pretty harmless, but still a little flirtatious, talking about riding horses and how they both like air planes. She was obviously flirting from the get go. He wouldn't respond initially, and she'd send another message to try and get his attention again.
She gave him her number, and he gave her his number on my birthday. We were together that day. So that stung quite a bit. He called her cute as hell at one point, and they sent each other a selfie of just their faces. They fell off from talking right after that, except for when she wished him a merry Christmas, happy new year, which he responded to once each (the new years one had the kissy emojis), and that was it. The weird thing is, she's an older lady than me, like in her 50s (nothing against older ladies here at all), and she's not attractive. She tried to reach out again one more time for Valentines Day, and he didn't respond. He continued to interact with liking her photos on instagram every once in a while. Most of the time she's on horseback or hiking somewhere. He likes everyone's photos, though, except for Instagram models because he knows that I don't feel respected when that happens, so I'm not sure what to think of it.
I took screenshots, and showed them to one of our mutual friends to get some perspective. She said that it seemed pretty harmless, but it still crosses a line. She said she'd be hurt, too, if her husband did that. She also said that she doesn't think my boyfriend would ever physically do anything with anyone like my ex did. She said I need to decide if I can forgive him or not, and work on building trust with each other if I did forgive him and if I felt like he was trustworthy after a while.
I confronted him, and he said he didn't remember it (even though he deleted the thread at that point). I told him he was hiding something, and I had pictures of it all. He told me he didn't want me to think that there was anything going on between him and this old lady, and it wasn't carrying on at all (which I believe). I told him what's hurts me more is that he tried to hide it and he wasn't upfront about it. He told me he was just bantering and it was more of a joking back and forth than anything. Needless to say my nervous system is shot from this whole thing. It's May now, and these messages happened back in September (besides Christmas and New Years). I didn't see anything else that rang any alarms in me, but I'm still hurt that he'd hide something dumb like that.
I've contemplated just leaving, and he knows that. My counselor has been with me every step of the way during my dating journey after the divorce, and I'm brutally honest with her about everything because I don't want to make the same mistakes again. My nervous system is triggered by small things here and there still, and my boyfriend and I have been able to with through them and talk things out for the past 10 months. He knows my history and how badly I was hurt by my ex-husband (self- inflicted after the first time I caught him cheating with a girl from his hometown, I'll admit.)
My boyfriend, who has been nothing but warm, doting, patient, and consistent with me since the beginning, was also hurt pretty badly by his ex. He proposed and she took off with the expensive ring without telling him that she was leaving for good. She was in another relationship quickly after she dumped him over the phone a while later.
We agreed to be open about our cell phones, and we talked about all that a couple of months into the relationship. I'd never had a feeling in my gut that he was hiding something at all, and if I did have a question about something, he was quick to say that I could look through his phone if it made me feel more secure.
The other day, I reached for his phone to take a photo of us, and he grabbed it out of my hands, nervously saying that he'd just take the photo since I was laying down. My gut squirmed instantly. Then he told me I could look through his phone if I wanted to. So I did. I am always open with him about my phone, and he's always been open about his until this weird little interaction.
Initially, I saw he was just hiding some porn he was watching (I don't care about that, I watch a little porn sometimes, too. He gets embarrassed easily about that stuff, so I give him a hard time about it and joke with him. He is really shy when it comes to porn, but I like that about him. If anything, I've even mentioned we should watch it together just to see him blush.) So I didn't think too much of it.
Then, I saw in his Instagram messages that he had sent a few kissy face emojis along with a "Happy New Year!" to some lady. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and figured maybe it was just an old friend. He has a lot of older ranch friends from the area he's from, so I chalked it up to that. Turns out, she had lightly been putting it out there to him the week before my birthday, saying he checked off a bunch of things on her wishlist, but she wanted to know if he could ride horses. He didn't respond right away, but he did respond a few days later with a photo of him on horseback. This back and forth went on for about a month, where they'd take a few days to respond to each other, and it seemed pretty harmless, but still a little flirtatious, talking about riding horses and how they both like air planes. She was obviously flirting from the get go. He wouldn't respond initially, and she'd send another message to try and get his attention again.
She gave him her number, and he gave her his number on my birthday. We were together that day. So that stung quite a bit. He called her cute as hell at one point, and they sent each other a selfie of just their faces. They fell off from talking right after that, except for when she wished him a merry Christmas, happy new year, which he responded to once each (the new years one had the kissy emojis), and that was it. The weird thing is, she's an older lady than me, like in her 50s (nothing against older ladies here at all), and she's not attractive. She tried to reach out again one more time for Valentines Day, and he didn't respond. He continued to interact with liking her photos on instagram every once in a while. Most of the time she's on horseback or hiking somewhere. He likes everyone's photos, though, except for Instagram models because he knows that I don't feel respected when that happens, so I'm not sure what to think of it.
I took screenshots, and showed them to one of our mutual friends to get some perspective. She said that it seemed pretty harmless, but it still crosses a line. She said she'd be hurt, too, if her husband did that. She also said that she doesn't think my boyfriend would ever physically do anything with anyone like my ex did. She said I need to decide if I can forgive him or not, and work on building trust with each other if I did forgive him and if I felt like he was trustworthy after a while.
I confronted him, and he said he didn't remember it (even though he deleted the thread at that point). I told him he was hiding something, and I had pictures of it all. He told me he didn't want me to think that there was anything going on between him and this old lady, and it wasn't carrying on at all (which I believe). I told him what's hurts me more is that he tried to hide it and he wasn't upfront about it. He told me he was just bantering and it was more of a joking back and forth than anything. Needless to say my nervous system is shot from this whole thing. It's May now, and these messages happened back in September (besides Christmas and New Years). I didn't see anything else that rang any alarms in me, but I'm still hurt that he'd hide something dumb like that.

I'm an off-service resident on Obstetrics. On weekend call its just me, a senior and two in-house attendings. Some days its so busy I have dinner between 1-3 AM. Our triage nurses lose their minds when it takes you more than 15 min to see a pt. My last call shift they got mad that I was seeing pts 30 min after I was called even though I told them I was dealing with a pt in SEPTIC SHOCK WITH INCREASING O2 REQUIREMENTS. Another time they were pissed I wasn't returning their pages while I was gowned up delivering a child. When I explained after their response "well we needed you here" ... the patient was there for nausea. Another time a pt was seizing and I was coordinating a plan with neuro. I lost it last shift when they called my senior to complain that I was "filling out plans without seeing pts" when in reality I was starting my notes by filling in the pmhx, US results, Rh etc... The nurse who complained about me apologized instantly when I showed her how I start my notes but this was after a full blown argument. She is 50+ and was seemingly amazed that we can use macros to start our notes. I then had a nurse then tell me that doing a quick chart review before seeing non-urgent pts was not necessary. Idk what to do anymore and would appreciate any advice. My attending and seniors are all otherwise happy with my performance lmao

My question is, how long should I wait before I text her and ask her how she’s doing and if she has had enough to think? I really liked her and my intentions were all good. Can someone please help me with this situation, I’m desperate! So I am a marketing specialist at a med spa. I get paid $23 an hour with no benefits and no PTO, I clock in and out. I come from corporate making 55k salary with all benefits and unlimited PTO. That job was extremely boring and I wanted to get into an industry I am passionate about so I took this opportunity. I also have my bachelors in marketing.
So there are 2 owners, one is a doctor. There is one front desk, on patient care coordinator, and 2 nurses. I have been there since January and I have revamped their entire website, worked on SEO and google ads, I have taken months worth of content and scheduled it out for months to post across multiple social platforms. I have planned and launched multiple promotions that have make 20k+, I have implemented a customized sales CRM to create automated follow up scheduling and I complete those follow ups and have trained staff in it. We have seen growth in revenue, bookings, and engagement. I am currently working on creating monthly memberships to build loyalty and have more consistent income.
I had a meeting with my boss today and she expressed concern about the instagram staying steady in terms of followers for the past 2 weeks. She asked if I have done research as to why that is and been up to date with trends in marketing. She asked me what are Instagram “threads” and why am I not utilizing them. She said that this whole time I have been putting out “fires” and installing things that they didn’t have before but were necessary. She expressed that I should be spending less time on the day-to-day and be working on business to business partnerships, working with influencers, planning extravagant events and have those planned for the following year as well, and pop ups on weekends to take them to the next level to open up other locations. She said that these are things I should be bringing to them on my own and not be told to do.
In my opinion, I feel like I am not being paid enough to be sales manager, web designer, social media manager, google ads specialist, influencer marketing manager, partnership marketing manager, event planner, and more. Is it realistic to expect one person to make all of these changes while doing everything else? I am genuinely asking. They scheduled a meeting with me to go over everything I have done and talk about my plan moving forward to take initiative and help them grow.
I don’t really want to bring up salary because I don’t want it to seem like that’s the reason I haven’t done all of these things, but I feel like it is a gradual process and a lot to expect out of one person with a lot of other responsibility that is often overlooked. I do genuinely like the job and I don’t want it to come off like I can’t do all those things, but it will take a lot of coordination from them and a lot of research. Sometimes I don’t even know where to start with huge events and business to business partnerships.
Can someone please let me know if you have any advice? I really appreciate it! I’m just stuck because I don’t have many marketing mentors in my life. I feel like typically in marketing you are a “specialist” in one or two paths of marketing, not doing everything for a business on your own.

Now that the rest of my life is becoming more routine and stable, it's becoming more obvious that my love life is wrecked and in dire need of serious attention. My initial call with him was a scary first step, but it was well worth it. It was like knowing that there a developing sickness within me, and I just now made my trip to the doctor for an evaluation.
I feel weird because I'm actually doing something that will also directly benefit someone else, the right guy coming into my life st the right time. I rightfully spend all or most of my time focused on myself and making sure that my life works best for me, that it's hitting me now that ~ one day ~ someone else will be here. TL;DR: Ideas to help a baby bunny feel secure and cope with any grief when moving from a long term foster home to a forever home?
Tomorrow, I’m officially adopting a 7 month old, but he won’t be coming home with me until Monday and will remain with his foster mother until then. This baby has been with his foster mother since he was 1 week old (as his pregnant mother was found abandoned and brought into the rescue).
He does not have a bondmate because both of his littermates died and the bonding sessions he’s been on since he was neutered 2 months ago haven’t been a great fit so far. I will find him a bondmate once he is settled into our home :).
My concern is how to help him adjust to no longer living with his foster mother. He is extremely bonded to her (lies on her chest and purrs), but she is unable to keep/ adopt him (as she is an incredible person saving the lives of so many medically complex rabbits and cats at once right now, and he had always been in the home as a foster baby).
She’s going to be sending home his favorite straw playhouse, and since she said it’s falling apart a little, I also ordered him a second copy of the first one so that I can set up both his old and new one side by side. I asked about having her sending something like a blanket that smells like her home with him, and she thought that was a good idea and would help him. I can also bring a blanket for him that smells like me and drop it off tomorrow.
We’ve coordinated around hay and pellets in terms of making sure any changes are gradual and that we work together to help him adjust or that I get the same types she is using now. I am using a very different litter than she is, but she says he has never peed outside the litter box and is very unlikely to have an issue with any type of rabbit—appropriate litter (she’s using pine pellets, I’m using Carefresh). I bought all the things she said are his favorite snacks (Science Selective Naturals Loops and Oxbow Simple Rewards in two specific flavors) and made a list of the greens/ herbs he likes best.
I let his foster Mom know she could come to visit sometimes if she wanted to, and she expressed interested in doing that once he’s settled in. In the meantime, I can send lots of photo and video updates. Can anyone think of anything else (other than a bondmate, which I can’t conjure up in the next few days, unfortunately), that might help make this transition a little easier for him? I’ll be with him for probably about 22-23 hours a day (as I work from home as a PhD student, and his X-Pen is directly next to my bed), and he’ll have free roam time with me probably about 14 hours per day (and the rest of the time in the 4x4x4 X-Pen in my bedroom).
