Man can't believe it was 18 years ago. I feel so old but somehow I am relieved how SEED Freedom fixed a lot of its mistakes made in Destiny. Now that I think about it here is how I wanted Destiny to end as compared to how it ended.
The fix would start at the end of Shin handing back Stella to Neo. Neo would be forced by Blue Cosmos to be put in the Destroy gundam and she would go on a rampage in Berlin.
But here Kira/Freedom would be forced to fight her but Shin/Impulse being there and pleading to not kill her, Kira being Kira would go all out to destroy the gundam but save the girl. But as he gets out of Freedom to grab her because they both know she would not be safe in BC of ZAFTs hand and as Shinn watches Durandals henchmens would show up and start a fight and Kira not proficient in a physical fight would get hit hard but last minute saved by Shinn who after being Stella executed by those man loses it and escapes with a wounded Kira in Freedom.
Kira is now out of commission, put in a long coma to recover and Shinn is made a deserter. Shinn joins AA crew because he wants to redeem himself and for what Durandal and Co did to Stella. With Kira out Shinn pilots Freedom without ZAFT knowledge but he has tell tale signs and Rey knowing him figures out that its Shinn in Freedom. So after 1 or 2 skirmishes where Shinn barely escapes because not only Freedom hard for him to master but it makes him realize how OP Kira is to manage piloting it flawlessly while him a very good pilot can barely hold it but he is getting used to it.
We then have a 3rd battle where Rey via Impulse triple changes the tactic they used vs Kira/Freedom defeats Shinn and Freedom is lost to save AA with Shinn almost dying. Meanwhile Athrun catches on that Freedom isn't piloted by Kira but Shinn and also discovers Durandal is the baddy. Durandal in recognition of Freedom's defeat gives DestinyF (the Destiny from SEED Freedom not the POS of SEED Destiny; lets call it DestinyF) to Athrun and Legend to Rey and promotes them further but Athrun has enough and escapes with DestinyF. Rey attempts stop him but since both a Nuke powered Athrun escapes. This causes headache for Durandal as none supposed to know they are nuke powered as well and Legend is equivalent in power to Providence.
Athrun escapes back to AA with Destiny. He finds Shinn and Kira. Kira is still out. Athrun decides he has to go to Terminal to Lacus and start fixing shit up. He leaves Destiny to Shinn and points out his flaws to be fixed so that Rey can't figure out that it's Shinn who will be piloting Destiny from now on and act like he is Athrun. Shinn trains hard like he nenver did before to become prolificent in DestinyF.
Meanwhile Durandal fearing that he must not let this golden opportunity to escape starts his Logos wars and on to Destiny project. He also activates the Black Knights his elite core (they would be same as in SEED Freedom just no mind control but having Newtype Flash) who are all Faith members and nearly unstoppable as a group. In short, anywhere they go they cannot be stopped. Mean while he puts Minerva on the hunt for DestinyF that he labels as a terrorist. Shinn starts protecting people but always narrowly escaping the Black Knights and also builds a solid rivalry vs Rey. They basically even themselves out. Oh and the reason Shinn can escape them is because his mirage colloroid allows him to go invisible like Blitz. In one of the fights he captures/rescues Neo and Mew returns to the story like in Destiny. He has to fight Luna, now on Impulse, a few instances and regrets keeping her in the dark.
Kira finally recovers and heads to space to save Lacus who is targeted by Black Knights. Here we have Athrun dealing with them in the Infinite Justice but they are too many for him so Kira launches in Strike Freedom and the appearance of the 2 new MS pushes Black Knights to retreat. Kira whoops ass of the ZAFT fleet following them like before takes Lacus with him and both he and Athrun head to Orb as the battle of Orb starts.
Eventually, we get to ZAFT versus Orb fight. AA reveals itself shocking Minerva to top it off with DestinyF on it and later joined by Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. The ZAFT fleet on earth gets their ass whooped and Jibril whom they claimed was in Orb actually shows up at Requiem. He was always there. He just used a double to toy with everyone while he prepared Requiem. Lacus showing up at Orb also messes up Durandal's plan and he is forced to reveal all his cards, including the Black Kights that even most ZAFT officers like Izack were unaware.
We now have the final battle. Here Kira and Athrun face and take out the Black Knights. Shinn finally ends Rey via his berserker DestinyF shillouette attack (midless kage bunshin ala Naruto?). Shinn also rescues Luna who on Impulse is used like a pawn by Rey to get upper hand. Akatsuki and Mu get their revenge on Blue Cosmos and Jibril.
Finally we have a confrontation between Lacus Kira Athrun and Durandal a live broadcast of their conversation that entire world gets to view where they uncover all the deceptions. Durandal asks them who is going to take over the throne and responsibilities of ruling the world to which each responds that they are the children of parents who put their burden on them Athrun via Patrick Zala, Lacus via Durandal (a former Clyne factionist who did not follow the ideals of her father, but that her father ignored) and Kira being the Ultimate Coordinator. They won't take power because they never wanted power. They wanted to live in peace and they will work towards that and that's their destiny. Of course Durandal will try a last minute suicidal move only to be shot by Talia who accepts their answer and accepts her own responsibility of letting Durandal's ambition get out of hand.
There is will be one last attempt and Genesis and Shinn will prevent it with DestinyF combining its power with Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice, Akatsuki, even Impulse. In the end the world treats them as heros they are with the truth and not the propagandas that been used since the beginning in their name. The conclusion being that ones Destiny is not determined but one has to take responsibilities for it. Lacus has to lead Plant, Kira has to lead ZAFT with Athrun, Cagali Orb and Mu the Earth Allaince. Shinn goes back to Orb with Luna to lead its military. They all retire from their positions in 5 years after putting structural organizations in place and get to live their lives as they choose.
Not as cheezy I know but I think this would be a better Destiny ending. You get Shinn still as the hero of the story. You get Kira, Athrun, Lacus etc all end their roles without overtaking the lead. You get good capable fights and good MS battles and finally a proper world peace.

We are looking to start advertising for wishlists around OctobeEarly November for our game we’re planning on Next Fest-ing and PAX-ing the following year in February and May.
One question we have is how much traction we’d have during the holiday advertising rush vs before Black Friday and after new years. We are probably going to experiment regardless but in the event that our capital is better spent during the off-season we’d like to know beforehand if it’s better to wait out the holidays. So my son (6) was at his Moms this past weekend. She has two other kids 8 and 10. So the step mom of the 8 and 10 sent a video to my gf (step mom) she been in his life since he was about 6-7 months old. Anyways the video was recorded on the 8 yrs old phone from her mom’s house. It shows the 10 yr old going up to my son and punching him in the head and they were having a sleep over with there cousins which the video shows them all in there underwear and showing off there butts being goofy. Mom is nowhere to be seen in the video.But my thing is my son has been having a hard time at school with being picked on and also being the one who is mean also. When he is with us we don’t see that kind of behavior but it also is just him here. I asked why he got in trouble at school he said that he thinks it maybe when his brother hits and chokes on him it causes him to act out at school. So the mom doesn’t know about the video as of yet I don’t think. I think it should definitely be brought up to her and even show her. I also have an older brother and I know growing up we always picked on each other. Is it just the sibling rivalry or should I definitely bring it up. I almost told him the next time your brother punches you in the head to stand up to him and return the favor but I don’t want to cause even more issues. When and if I bring it up to his mom I know my gf is going to want to be apart of the conversation but I feel like if we both talk to her it might feel as though it’s us vs her being ganged up on. In Dr K's recent video with Destiny he mentions at around 02:45:25 that India/China have their own set of Scientific Research Indices that are not available through Google Scholar and are harder for Western researchers to find. As their conversation is ending at this point, Dr K never specifies where to find this. Does anyone know which indices he is referring to?
I'm currently doing my PhD in the history of the medical profession during Britain's occupation of India. One of the main contentions of my research has been the allopathic vs ayurvedic/traditional healing dichotomy. I am unsure how much weight to give Ayurveda as it seems so nebulous to a Westerner. I think knowing where to look or at least having some kind of insider knowledge may help me understand alternative medicine's place in the modern world as well as its history.

I 29/f am a classic avoidant. I can forget to text people back for days. I have a lot of work and hobbies and the desire to communicate daily just isn’t there.
I see a lot of my friends waiting around for texts analyzing if the person will text them back. It kills me to tell them to wait a few days and that the person in the other line may just be busy.
I don’t ghost purposefully but if I have one good date, I don’t think anyone is entitled to my time. Others seem to find that awful. If it’s longer term I will always send a message like “respectfully, I need space” before I go dark but if I am not dating someone I don’t feel the need to explicitly explain.
Ive never been ghosted but I’ve felt things fade away and that’s ok w me. If we don’t have common ground or want to pursue the connection then why invest in it?
It leaves me to wonder is there ever even ground? Is it always the chaser and the chased eventually compromising? At what point is it ok to ghost ( one date, a passing conversation imo). What’s your line for heartless vs realistic? And why do so many people chase someone who just isn’t interested?

Findom is Femdom. It's practiced offline, in the real world, in relationships all over the world. If anyone did like five seconds of actual research into BDSM, they'd know this.

Back to Findom. Findom is under the umbrella of Femdom. It's been around thousands of years. Fake Dommes on TikTok grifting their shitty guides didn't invent it three years ago.
While I'm at it, whoever told you it's money for just existing is full of something brown and stinky. It's never been that. It never will be that. If you've received "money for nothing," consider that you're simply a product they silently consumed, like renting a movie. A pornographic movie specifically, because no one spends money without getting anything in return. Their return was using you as a masturbatory aid (even if not literally). Or in some cases, masochism or self destructive behavior. But they still used you. And I'm not saying that's wrong, but y'all need to understand the reality of it, that this is what you've signed up for. As so many of us have been saying, Findom is sex work, and you're a product on the porn market.
When Findom is practiced as part of a real life D/s relationship, that aspect isn't there. It's no different than any other relationship. There's give and take and love and chores and bills all that. D/s is a kinky layer on top of a vanilla foundation. It's not the same as online (and so, so much more rewarding).
Online can be rewarding as well when you find someone you get on well with. I have some great conversations with my subs. I have many subs that I'm simply just friends with. I have a great community of other Dommes. I made that happen by treating everyone equally. By being social and friendly. My Twitter has zero bait posters and zero drama. If that's all you're finding, it's 100% on you. Get a better people picker and stop following the people who tweet shallow, tired Findom cliches. There's no shortage of experiences Dommes with engaging, intelligent content.
One last thing... where did this notion that Reddit has better subs come from? They're the same men. Findom doesn't change from one platform to the other. Men aren't "better quality" one place vs another. There's not a single social platform that won't have entitled men, incels, and scammers. So bury that notion or you're just going to be disappointed. If anything, Reddit has more entitled men because it's chock full of free porn. Muskrat has made adult content harder to find on Twitter, whereas Reddit has all the curated, free porn by the millions, easily searched and found, with literally zero barrier to entry. I would bet my savings account that there's far more minors on Reddit also. Now personally, I file that under "not my circus, not my monkeys," but if you're uncomfortable with minors seeing your ass in their feed, then just keep in mind... they absolutely are. You can't advertise on any social platform without that being a reality.

Many of us watched the latest Careers tutorial and walked away a bit less than enthused given the lack of gameplay that was shown. I like the ambition of having absolutely no rabbitholes in the world and having each career be an open and active career but in order to do that, you need to have all the careers have some core gameplay to it that will make it interesting, otherwise, you just have rabbitholes we can see into and are taking up game performance.
Here are 5 ideas of what core features I think they should consider for careers. I say core features because I know they expect that the community will and should create mods that add more features to careers but I believe for all aspects of the game, there is core gameplay that the developers need to put in so we do not feel like we NEED mods to make an interesting and fun gaming experience.
Core Features for LBY Careers:

1. Inactive/non-controlled characters should be routinely pushed to your active character's job lot during your shift. We all saw how empty the tutorial worlds are and that really affects the ability to make even the most exciting job interesting if you are the only one around. The devs need to ensure that there are people around for you to interact with and should mark lots that have your active/controlled person there with a high attractiveness so inactives are more drawn to that lot. This does not mean that everyone in town should show up but it should be relative to the type of lot. For example, if you work at a library, it would be natural for there not to be a lot of people but definitely bookworms, loners, people that like peace and quiet should be pushed to that lot. Whereas if you work at a bar or a restaurant, it should attract a wide range of people and I would expect those places to busy at specific times.
2. Ability to set business traffic hours. Related to the above, for career lots, we should be able to set the hours when we want a high attractiveness for that lot. So for example, if you work at a cafe lot, you would probably set your high traffic hours around the morning (7am-10am) vs a restaurant or bar which would more likely be in the evening (7pm-10pm). This will allow for a good flow between you having to focus just on work tasks, helping customers and having downtime to goof off, socialize, take breaks, etc. making your days more interesting and allowing you to be more strategic with your time management.
3. Coworkers. This is a must. Once you assign your active chara to a career lot, the game should automatically assign 2-3 coworkers to the lot as well if there aren't already. Just like in real life, your interactions with your coworkers is what makes your job interesting or not. There should also be work-specific dialogue/conversations built in (which can be expanded with mods). As long as the relationship mechanics are there in the game and the AI is working as it should, just the existence of coworkers should make playing your career more dynamic.
4. Meaningful Tasks and Interactions that impact career progression. In the tutorial, we saw the tasks were just box-checking exercises (literally) that seemingly had no impact to your chara or their job. Tasks need to have an impact. If I don't do a task, there needs to be a reason why it affects my job performance. For example, for the grocery store job, shelves should get emptied as customers make purchases and only then should I need to restock them. If I don't restock them then customers will have nothing to purchase and my job performance should suffer from that. If there's a spill on the ground and I don't clean it up, someone could then slip and fall on it and sue the company and I could get fined for that or lose my job. We know you can shoplift in the store so there should bonuses for employees catching shoplifters which in itself is like a minigame. Also if you catch your coworker stealing from the register, you can report them to management which might get them demoted or fired but might get you promoted or give you a bonus. Tasks need to be there for a reason.
5. Think "jobs" vs. "careers" and treat them differently. Working at a grocery store or retail store is a job so it's very task-oriented but working as a lawyer or a marketing exec is a career so should be less about tasks and more about accomplishing long-term goals to advance your career. Rather than having one-off tasks for these types of jobs, tasks should be more long-term and complex, for example, building relationships or advancing yourself in certain skills. Also think about projects that can be given to our charas as tasks that operate as quests so it requires multiple steps and days to complete. And because it's quest based, it's customizable and easily moddable since there is a Quest Editor in the game.

These are my 5 but interested to hear what others think should be considered core career gameplay that needs to be in the game.

Please bear in mind that these thoughts really only apply to RetCa Starscythe units, I just can't really explain that in a title!
This is because I think the comparison might be a bit more complicated than most people seem to realise due to the fact Farsight can use 'The Arro'kon Protocol' on his unit every turn, for free. To save you looking it up in case you can't remember;
"Until the end of the [shooting] phase, each time a model in your [battlesuit] unit makes an attack that targets an enemy unit that contains 6 or more models, that attack has the [SUSTAINED HITS 1] ability. If that attack targets an enemy unit that contains 11 or more models, it has the [SUSTAINED HITS 2] ability instead."
Alright, cool. Weirdly, my first thought wasn't Starscythes but in fact Fireknives because they like firing into big, healthy units and they get rerolls so you're gonna hit a lot of shots pretty reliably. Seemed to make sense but after some pondering I decided that too much of the appeal of Fireknives is their 'mid-strength weapon' versatility. They can play a bit of the resource management efficiency game with the 30" range and rerolls but if the moment calls for it, you can zip up into Bonded Heroes range and lay down some slightly higher than expected damage. Or fire up the Starflare Ignition System and peace out to the backline to cause trouble. To me that sounds a lot more fun and probably actually better than fishing for 6s while Farsight spends his time popping his stratagem repeatedly, waving his sword around a bit and turn by turn, slowly losing his erection.
Ok but Farsight of course enjoys his time amongst the new frontlining Starscythes so the original point of this post was to think about whether a 235pt burst cannon unit pumping out 24 S6AP-2 sus2 +1 to wound, rerolling all the 1s can compare to what the commanders offer. I'll exclude drones because I have to because I'm not that smart.
Assuming S. Suits are helping I think you average about 27 hits and you're gonna be wounding anything up to T5 on 2s, rerolling the 1s. Ok. Seems pretty good to me. Asking kindly for a 10man+leader unit to take 25 AP-2 saves sounds like something I'd enjoy. Good chance they fail 16 and they don't like it. And it's still 15-16 wounds on a 6man T6 unit which at AP-2 will often mean 3 dead chunky 3W models and sometimes 4.
Ok now imagine a (260pts) Coldstar-led team zooming across the battlefield to get within 6", dropping a few mortals on a few heads on the way over. It's nice to think about. I'm just gonna go with flamers because I think the overwatch threat is substantial enough when you're up close to justify them so 9 flamers is gonna be 31ish hits with S5 AP-2. If you're rich enough in observer units to guide with S. Suits you might earn an extra 3 wounds here vs T3/4 but for me part of the appeal of the flamers is that you can put a marker drone on the Shas'vre/Commander and spot during the turns you're usually wishing you didn't have to engage all of your spotters in frantic, sacrificial move blocking.
So with the Coldstar it's roughly 20-23 wounds vs T3/4, 15-17 vs T5 at AP-2 and that's excluding the HOBC completely. Already pretty decent but we must also try to weigh this units high independence, overwatch threat, mobility, and ability to dish out mortal wounds (and no I haven't forgotten about the fabled Farsight tank shock but to be honest I don't have much of an idea about how good it is in actuality this edition so I just sort of feel unable to add this in to the equation. That's on me.).
The damage would be slightly less on an Enforcer but then of course you get to save points and you get his lovely durABILITY. And does it even matter that you can't zoom when you can use the tiny blade to get 3" inside of them? Does anyone else just picture a 3" inch knife when you think of 'The Shortened Blade' because of your inability to not think about the rules for a moment? Because I can't not picture a 3" inch blade and it irritates me because it looks pathetic in my mind's eye. Now is the time to speak up if you share my pain. But anyway the Enforcer just seems very delicious in this type of plan given that we have amazing access to the deep and important areas of the board. You know .. Could it just be that worsening incoming AP on a unit that really needs to be killed is just really fucking good when the nearby enemy infantry can't move a muscle without getting completely cooked? I really would implore anyone who doesn't think this codex is strong or fun to keep reading and stay curious.
If anyone has any insights or thoughts I'd sincerely like to hear them as I feel that a lot of this conversation thus far has come down to more guns is better. Something which is admittedly true for us most of the time. Hopefully no matter what you think you can see this is a pretty good example of nice internal balance. Perhaps Firesight can't match up to the Commanders on the top, top level of the game (but perhaps he can?!) but I think clearly his access to free Arro'kon Protocols make him a real punchy threat on top of what is already a cool looking, versatile-ish, 8W 2+/4++ utility leader.
To the one Shas'O that read the whole thing, thanks, but get back to work. Your boss has noted this is your third extended toilet break of the morning and he is on the brink of offering you unsolicited dietary advice.

Practically every day there's a new post on this sub leaning this way or that in the whole Ascended vs Spawn Astarion debate, so I know we're all pretty sick of reiterating that everyone can have their own opinions and interpretations. The amount of infighting, judgement, and angry downvoting for the simple fact that someone disagrees with you is ridiculous. We all enjoy this game. And most of us love Astarion.
With that being said, what frustrates me is when players don't exercise media literacy. It's one thing to recognize and understand that it's definitely not a healthy dynamic while still ascending Astarion. It's another entirely to dismiss it, romanticize it, and get defensive and start downvoting people like crazy when they bring it up.
You can recognize that Ascended Astarion is toxic while still romancing him. That's great! What isn't is being dismissive of fellow players trying to engage in meaningful conversation on the real-world relationship commentary that Larian put into the game. I love that they included something like this to spark conversation and show how imperfect relationships, particularly romantic and sexual ones, can be. It's important also to note, however, that you should never be insensitive to people who express discomfort with Ascended Astarion due to personal traumatic experiences. Everyone has their own experiences in life that you know nothing about. If you like darker romance, or favor Ascended fanfic, that's fine, but please exercise media literacy and respect the other side.
In short, ascend romanced Astarion if you'd like. Or don't. Either option is perfectly acceptable. Just remember to be kind to others, even when they don't share your viewpoint. At the end of the day, we're all playing this game to have fun.
Edit: On a post about how everyone should respect each other's opinions without the constant aggressive downvoting, an objective and openminded attempt at mediation is being downvoted and criticized. The irony is hilarious. My point about toxicity within this subgroup of the fandom is just being proved perfectly.

I have a 10, soon to be 11 year old, long haired chihuahua. She’s itty bitty. The smallest of my chihuahuas and the smallest I’ve ever seen. To start, she’s always been a bit odd - carries a sock around to calm her anxieties and excitement, full body happy wiggles nearly all the time, growls and grumbles and grunts at you when you talk to her. She’s simply silly. She’s all hair and four little toothpick legs.
Full of personality and can’t imagine a life without her little self in it. But I found out she has a stage 5 heart murmur and the vet put her on Lasix in hopes that it doesn’t progress. It’s very recent. Like two weeks recent with being on medication. I’ve been trying to give it time to show that it’s working…yet I’ve noticed her cough has become so much worse. Like a LOT worse. This is my first dog with a heart murmur. I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing or what I’m looking out for. I don’t know what to expect. The vet explained so much about her condition but I feel like I tapped out of the conversation and I felt overwhelmed the second I heard heart failure. I was offered Lasix to help her and I accepted immediately. Has anyone ever put their dog on Lasix? Does the cough always get worse before it gets better or should I most definitely call the vet and take her back in? She’s still eating and drinking and moving around being happy. Her cough just seems much more severe and persistent.

I went to a city council meeting tonight to help support a resolution to support local libraries amidst censorship laws, laws which are especially being made to target queer and POC books. It was a really beautiful experience and I was impressed that 70% of the speakers were above 50 and EVERYONE who spoke on the resolution was in support of it, even people who weren't there for it mentioned their support briefly before talking about what they were there for. This is in a city that is under 50,000 people and is the second biggest city in a two hour radius (the other one is only like 2,000 people more) so I expected at least one person there to be an asshole but there were none. It was great.
But why I am writing this is because I sat through the entire public comment sections out of respect for the speakers in the room and so I heard people talk on issues that I had no idea about. I always knew that human rights could never be a two sided issue, there is no way to be against human rights in any form that is valid or sensible because it is pure hatred (this is not to say there aren't plenty of people who are mislead and just need to have their lightbulb moment, just speaking generally here). This meeting helped me fully understand what a REAL "two sided" issue looks like. There were economics and building projects and other things that I could sit and understand why people were each concerned one way or another and it had logic and there was dignity in the conversations. I could understand how compromises could be logically formed from it. There IS room for hearing the other side of an issue out but seeing situations where it actually applies vs where it doesn't helped finally put to rest my anxiety of being ignorant for ignoring conservatives on human rights issues. I highly recommend watching sane humans of differing views speak if you're used to the internet extremes. It is very enlightening as a young person who has been surrounded by internet discourse all their life to see healthy debate. It gives me faith as well that most people are good even in extremely red states, people do care even if it doesn't effect them because injustice is injustice no matter how it is framed.
If nothing else, I encourage you no matter your age (there were high schoolers speaking at this meeting so there is no age requirement from my understanding) to get involved in your community policies. Your voice matters most on the local scale and it has effects that go up the chain to make the bigger things happen.

So, as far as I can tell, one of the edition changes was universalizing and harmonizing wealth and costs across all campaign worlds. Tech level appears to make some difference for more advanced versions of the same item (TL 5 frame backpack vs. TL 8 one). I think Ultra-Tech also uses some tech level upgrade costs as well. But basically, a canteen costs the same whether you're in 2024 or 1804 because the cost represents an abstract value detached from historical/real-world prices and inflation/deflation. Am I correct so far?
This works well enough so long as there is a listed 4th ed. GURPS Bucks price for any given equipment. But if you want to assign a GURPS $ value to something that's not in the books, that gets tricky.
I'm not going to address converting contemporary, real world prices into GURPS Bucks, since that is its own subject probably.
What I'm looking at right now is taking prices for items from 3rd ed. world books (particularly historical books, though the process should be the same for other settings) and converting them into GURPS $.
So, Old West 2nd edition for GURPS 3rd ed: There's a price list for goods that aren't in High-Tech 4th, or Low-tech 4th, or Basic Set. Stuff like a guitar, or breakfast at a diner. Some of these you can Google, and it seems like the Old West book got it right for the most part (25 American cents for breakfast in the 1870s). So we have good, reliable, balanced prices.
How I'm trying to approach conversion so far: I'm thinking take Old West standard wealth ($200) and compare it to standard TL 5 wealth from 4th ed. Basic Set ($5000) to come up with a price multipliedivisor (x25).
This seems to work with the price of breakfast. Basic Set says a breakfast should be 1% of cost of living. If we assume Social Status 0, that gives us $600 cost of living, or 6 GURPS Bucks for breakfast. The price of 25 cents from Old West conflicts with this. However, if we apply the divisor I got from the Standard Wealth comparison (/25), 6 GURPS Bucks becomes 24 Old West cents. Not bad, so far.
The same process seems to convert prices into each others' general ballparks or neighborhoods, whichever figure of speech you prefer. A TL 5 canteen from High-Tech costs 10 GURPS Bucks. Divided by 25, that gets us 40 Old West cents. Looking at the Old West book, that is pretty close to the listed price of 50 cents.
Sometimes the conversion is more off. Basic TL 5 boots from High-Tech are 80 GURPS Bucks. Divided by 25 that's $3.20. Old West book lists boots as $5.00. So it's almost correct, but not quite.
Is there a better way to go about doing this? I was thinking of basing the multipliedivisor off of Basic Set cost of living vs. world book cost of living instead.

I (22F), have a group of friends (M29, F30, F26). We all usually get along really well and I enjoy their company but recently one friend (F26), has been treating me in a way that I think, personally, is rather unfair.
A few months ago, we were out at dinner with about another three people. We went to an all you can eat buffet, and I made an off-handed joke to another friend (not part of this central group who was there), that I had eaten so much that it would be a weeks’ worth of food, and I’d have to work it off, and this friend (F26), just blew up.
She interrupted the conversation to tell me not to talk about weight around her. The entire table felt uncomfortable with her outburst, but I personally felt so humiliated because she put all this attention on me and then shut me down when I tried to either apologise or defend myself. It really hurt my feelings and I was close to tears, but I let it go because it was a difficult time for her then and I assumed she was just having a bad day.
But then, about a week ago, the four of us were all at her house and she was cooking for us (which is a very sweet thing she does sometimes). I helped her cut up a certain herb that the cuisine uses often but that I personally dislike as it tastes like soap (iykyk). We get onto the topic of people who like vs don’t like this herb as it’s pretty universally divisive, and I comment that I am unfortunately one of those people who thinks it tastes bad and has a bad smell (which this friend is aware of and knows). At this point the friend asks me not to talk about bad smells around her cooking even though I wasn’t commenting on it.
About 30 mins pass and M29 asks me about the conversation as he hadn’t been there when it went down. I began to reiterate that this herb tastes soapy to me, smells bad etc, and again, this friend just blew up. She raised her voice, scolded me, cut me off and told me to stop talking about ‘bad smells’ around her cooking, and when I tried to tell her it was just about this herb and in no way did I mean her cooking, she shut me down again and just like the restaurant the whole room went quiet. I went outside because this time I could not hold back my tears and eventually M29 came out to ask me how I was and to tell me that her actions also made them uncomfortable, and it was uncalled for. The rest of the night was soured, she never apologised, and I went home early.
At one point she said I couldn’t make a joke and I thought it was because she thought I was making fun of her race (she’s white), and I agreed to back down because I could see how it could be taken that way, but she then responded with saying that it’s not okay to say as I’m not ‘as white passing’ (I’m half white), which really stung because I don't see why that was any of her business how 'white' she thought I was.
These are just a few events amongst others but I couldn’t let it continue, so I texted her and respectfully let her know that how she treated me wasn’t ok, and that if she had an issue with something I said then she should bring it up to me in a more respectful way without bringing other people into it or in a public setting. I didn’t in any way say that I think she was wrong for feeling offended, but I just asked her to be more respectful about bringing up boundaries.
Well, she basically told me that as I had treated her badly that she thinks her actions were warranted, and that it being her house meant that it wasn’t ‘in public’. She then said I have been commenting on her body (which is hypocritical because she consistently tells me to eat more and I have never said anything like that to her), but that it’s okay because I haven’t ‘fully matured’ and that I’m ‘still learning’. She also said that my feelings of having to bite my tongue in the same way she has recently is ‘ not comparable’ because I have been ‘disrespecting’ her boundaries not to talk about these topics with her.
But, in my eyes, neither of these conversations were even with her. They were with other people, and it was about my own weight and a herb.
I told our other friends this (M29, F30), and while they agree that she is treating me unfairly and that she should be less sensitive, they say I’m in the wrong too as ‘a boundary is a boundary no matter how silly it may seem to you.’ But personally I don’t agree; I feel like these particular boundaries are just insecurity projection masking as boundaries, and I don’t think it’s fair that I’m being told that I can’t talk about what is universally seen as arbitrary things with people that aren’t even her.
It feels like she is taking things I say to be about her when they’re not. She’s taking my miscommunications as malice when it really is just cultural (I am from a different country). I feel like I should be able to have conversations adjacent to her with other people without her policing the topics because she assumes I’m insulting her in some way. I feel she is being controlling and condescending.
I value her a lot as a friend and I always try to be understanding but it feels recently like I am sacrificing my dignity to keep the peace and she hasn’t done any introspection whatsoever.
So can boundaries be unreasonable, or am I the asshole for not just taking her boundaries at face value?

[SPOILERS for dialogue Vs the final boss of HADES II]
I wish I remembered to take a screenshot of the interaction but I'm assuming time travel of some kind might be involved in the story now. Especially after some dialogue between Melinoë and Chronos where she says she's from a future of sorts.
Unless I'm reading into that conversation too much. Chronos does shut that idea down by stating how it's impossible to go back as time only moves forwards and since he is time, I'm inclined to believe him on that.
However, we know that Chronos' control/undertanding of time can be fallible through Magick as we learn an incantation that prevents him from resuming the game if you try to pause during his boss fight.
So with Melinoë being involved with Hecate and the witches of the crossroads, is it possible that Melinoë is indeed from the future?
I'm not fully sure of the strict timeline of events in the story. I believe it goes: Chronos escapes > Chronos takes over house of Hades > Hecate rescues infant Melinoë > Chronos begins war with Olympus > Grown up Melinoë is revealed to the Gods by Hermes > The start of the Game.
Even with that, we're not too sure of how long each of these individual events last. My main concern is how long the war between Chronos and the Gods of Olympus has lasted. After unlocking the surface and the City of Ephyra (which is just on the outskirts of the underworld/current domain of Chronos), I assumed Chronos' takeover has been a relatively recent event and based on dialogue with various Gods about going to Olympus, it doesn't seem like they've been locked in this conflict for a long lasting amount of time.
There's also details such as Melinoë being the only one who has aged considerably compared to her past self (family picture in her tent where she's an infant) but I guess this could be countered by most of the cast being divine, near ageless beings.
This leads me to believe that there's a possibility that when Hecate rescued Melinoë, they spent a long time training together, not getting involved with the ongoing battle for better or worse. Afterwards, through some witchcraft, Melinoë was sent back in time earlier during the battle where Chronos' forces are still relatively new and the Gods aren't exhausted by a prolonged conflict so they would have a greater advantage against the Titan of Time.
Just a theory though. There's other things that could go against it as well, such as the hints at Melinoë's past relationship with Icarus. Also, there might be additional dialogue that I've either missed or haven't seen yet. This is Hades after all, where there's just so many unique lines of dialogue. Hopefully, in future patches or when the full release of the game comes out, we'll know by then.
