(Picture 2) These combo kits claim that the third tool is free. (Picture 3) However you can find the combo kit without any extra tool for $199, which is the sale price of this exact kit during the holiday sale last year. (Picture 4) Looking at the price of the kit with the "free" tool, you'll notice that it's more than $199. (Back to Picture 2) However, if you look at the price of the "free" tool as a standalone item, it's the exact same as the difference in price between the three tool combo with the "free" tool and $199. (Picture 5) (Then Picture 2 again) My conclusion is therefore that the PBLCK01K kit will be part of Ryobi Days, priced at $199 and including a free tool, and that this deal has been uploaded and made live, but the sale pricing has not yet been implemented. So far I've found the one handed HP reciprocating saw, two handed HP reciprocating saw, a 2 Ah standard battery, the orbital sander, and a LINK kit as the included free tool. I'm sure there are more options if anyone cares to look. Been a Windows and Android guy my entire life, and I always liked how they worked because they were so universal. I play games and do stuff the Mac was always criticized for being terrible at, so it never crossed my mind much before to try it out UNTIL-
Earlier in the year, the iBug bit me and I got extremely obsessed with Apple products. I was always watching keynotes where Steve would wax on about how good their products were, slowly tricking my brain into wanting shiny new thing. It got to the point where I set up a CRT on my desk and converted my desktop's HDMI output into composite so I could use infinitemac dot com the way it was originally experienced. I needed a Mac FAST!
My friend had an older 2017 13-inch non-TB 128 GB MacBook Pro lying around and gave it to me as a present (She's extremely nice for doing that, I thanked her profusely) so I could have a new Mac by the end of my school year. It arrives just after class and I instantly notice how thin and sleek it looks, already interesting. I turn it on and notice how incredible the display panel looked, the MacOS interface that I'd gotten used to, and soaking in how it all worked within such a tiny space. It was so small, in fact, that it beat out my already miniscule school laptop in size and performance (some HP ProBook). I also noticed how quiet it was, comparing to my monster gaming laptop and how the fans spun up doing literally anything. Just overall, I was floored, especially when trying the external display out (with a dongle, of course) and seeing it could be a suitable desktop if I needed a backup.
I even love things about this machine that most people seem to hate, like the butterfly keyboard. I can't speak for other people and if theirs had broken keys or something, but I genuinely enjoy the feel of something like this and now prefer it to my ProBook's average laptop keyboard. The trackpad took a bit to get used to, but still now I'm shocked that the click I'm feeling is just haptics. That's some damn magic right there, playing with the force click checkbox and seeing it in real time change the depth to which an unmoving piece of glass moves lol.
While I'm 95% satisfied with my machine and love everything I can do with it, my only gripes are in the few limitations I really feel. Not a bad spot to have your only problem be wanting more of your same great thing, but the storage, ram, and battery are all obvious upgrades if I had the knowhow. Maybe it'll even push me to get a used M1 or 2 in the future with the various upgrades you'd find on there, who knows. Regardless, this Mac is gonna be my daily general driver outside my phone and I'm so pleased with everything it brings. I totally get the Apple thing now haha

Hello all! I currently use a 2017 HP Omen 17. The cpu is an i7 7700HQ 2.8GHz. The Gpu is an amd Radeon RX 580 series. I've been using it for 7 years now and It's really struggling to run games that came out years ago. Of course, I don't expect to run the newest COD or anything. But it used to be able to run games great at 60fps, like overwatch for example. Now in order to run games like Fortnite and Overwatch, I need to decrease render res, and all graphic settings in order to make the game even run at 30 or 60fps. My drivers are all updated, and I've recently opened the laptop with a screwdriver set to manually clean the dust out of the fan. What should I do to make my laptop run better? If you have any questions please let me know.

After moving my pc to another room i have some issues with screen resolution. It's surprising because i didn't change anything. I'm just using longer cables but the monitors are connected to the exact same inputs. I have 2 monitors and initially both wouldn't list the correct resolution in Windows display settings. Issue with main monitor resolved by installing latest driver for my nvidia gforce 1060 graphics interface. 2nd monitor remains an issue, it should be 1680x1080 but the available resolutions only go up to 1280x1024. Both monitors were listed as generic pnp in device manager (and i think they were listed as the correct model name before i moved my pc). For the second monitor (HP w2007v), driver support stopped after windows 8 apparently. I tried installing the Win7 driver (assuming this might be best compatible), and now the monitor is listed under its correct name but the resolution issue remains. Also noteworthy is that there is a yellow exclamation mark in device manager next to a 'PCI simple communications controller' and i doubt this error was there before. I looked up the dev and device numbers and it corresponds to C600/X79 series chipset MEI Controller #1 . How can simply displacing my pc cause these issues? Hope someone can help, i tried many things already... PS I'm on Windows OS Build 19045.4291 - Asus P9X79 mobo

I'm looking for my first MC/scooter and I've found 2 specific ones and I can't decide, hopefully you can point me in the right direction.
Option 1: A Sym GTS 250 from 2007 with 30.000 km on it. Comes with helmet box attached, no cosmetic errors and only one owner. Has been maintenanced regularly.
Option 2: A Keeway Silverblade 250 (I believe it's called Benelli zaffaran aswell) 2015 with 4100km only. Also helmet box attached and no scratches. It says it has a "Dr Pulley Variator" whatever that means.
I know how to do oil change, basic maintenance, I know ly way around some tools and generally have always been fixing my own 50cc scooters when I was younger. I would love to do as much maintenance and service myself as possible.
I do not know the differences between these other than there is a few hp advantage to the Sym, but I think it weighs alot more?
I'm 183cm/ 110kg, and I would drive Countryroads/City/Highway about 60/30/10% of the time.
It's meant as a daily driver to and from work (under 10km), but I would like to be able to carry someone on the back once in a while.
I think I remembered it all.

- Reinstalling Windows 10 via USB
- Memtest 86 passed twice, and used the microsoft memory test
- Reinstalling GPU drivers with DDU
- Installing new chipset drivers
- Replacing peripherals to see if it was one of my USB devices

EDIT: Welp, after 2 days of searching and minutes after posting this, I found the issue. The new 64-bit update caused an issue where the game tries to boot at a refresh rate of 48hz, which my monitor doesn't support. Adding -freq 165 to my games launch options has fixed it!

My father bought me a Lenovo Ideapad L3 in mid 2021. It had an Intel Core i5 10th gen CPU, integrated Intel UHD GPU, 8 GB of RAM, 1080p display and a 512 GB SSD.
It was very fast and remained fast for the time I’ve used it, however, it broke down very quickly, first by corrupting its SSD after only 2 years of use, the screen collecting micro scratches along where the keyboard border is, certain keys not working after only 2 years, even after a replacement, and not charging despite the charging connection working, which was also not fixed after a charging diode replacement (it was here that I learned that my laptop could ONLY use the battery and was never designed to switch to only using the charger as a backup power source!)
Currently getting the charging port replaced AGAIN to buy me some time to look for a new laptop.
I’ve never looked for nor bought my own laptop on my own before, so I’m wondering if I could please be given guidance on how and where to look for a replacement with these specs in mind:
And where do I look? In first hand stores, second hand stores, online shopping? I’m in South Africa, if that matters.
So far, the first hand stores I’ve been to only have devices that support 11, and when I asked them if they can still be downgraded to 10 with full driver support, they told me that it’s not a guarantee and that I’d have to look up each specific model online to find out.

- Has protection against keyboard scratches building up on the screen
- Still supports Windows 10 (I don’t care that 10 loses support next year; the LTSC editions will still have updates until 2032, it still has 70% market share, and is still better than 11. If this narrows my options, so be it)

It's weird but let me explain what I mean.
I have a HP printescanner which has wireless capabilities. I've used it in windows and there, I had to download a crappy windows application (not normal ones, those that you have to download from the store) and it wasn't good at all. Then I switched to Linux in my own laptop and it just works! Just ctrl+P to print and the printer is there waiting to print. Just open the scanner app pre-installed in pop os and it already knows about the scanner and is ready to scan. I can't believe how simple it was! Granted, I may have installed a driver or something for it but I'm not gonna get into it because that's a whole other story.
So technically I can't use the same "driver" for windows, I know that, those are in almost all cases OS specific. What I want is to know how Linux uses these printers, and can I replicate this behavior on other windows machines? I think what I really want is to know how Linux actually does this, so at least I can search for alternatives for windows. Right now, I can only paste the title of this post in google xd

I have an hp elitebook 845 g8 notebook pc, it has an issue with the camera. When I open it it takes around 10 to 15 seconds before it shows the preview, but if I click on recording or capture image before the preview shows it gives an error, when I wait it works fine for image but no recording is happening when clicked on it. I went to the repair shop and the guy there did delete windows and reinstall it and the camera worked fine, but as soon as all hp updates that were need are finished the camera went back to the same issue, i reinstalled its drivers but nothing. I hope you can help me.

Hi, I have second monitor in my workplace since last monday. The old one is connected via HDMI-DisplayPort cable to adapter DP-miniDP. New one is connected via DP-DP cable to adapter DP-miniDP. Adapters are due to GPU outputs, it's Nvidia Quadro P620 which have 4 miniDP ports.
Problem is second monitor not working, Windows doesn't detect it. I tried to change outputs, cables etc etc, but only one solution was deleting all monitors and GPU's and use DDU, then reinstalling new drivers. Problem is, that doesn't work everytime.
If somehow both are working (without any problems), if it will turn off automatically (via Windows settings) or I manually turn off second monitor, it will never display again. Then I have to reinstall drivers again. ONLY HDMI monitor is working all time.

I currently run proxmox with Plex (~2-3 simultaneous streams, 1 internal, 2 external to my network), with the standard arr apps. I also run home assistant with frigate running 7-8 cameras.
Going forward though I want to run a NAS through OMV, and run Windows for a specific photo backup software only available for Windows. I also need Windows as a daily driver for light to moderate Photoshop and After Effects use. Would be great if I can play games at 1080p low/medium settings (Hell Divers 2 possible?). I'd eventually replace my daily driver use with a more capable custom build in 2-3 years.
My budget is ~$250 but I'm wondering if all of this is even possible on used hardware in my price range, or if I should considering upping my budget just a little bit and/or splitting my use across two devices - a daily driver for Photoshop etc and another device for Plex, HaSS and the arr apps.
I'm a bit confused on the best path so your help is appreciated. Thanks.

I just recently bought myself a HP Victus 16 s-0475ng gaming laptop. I am using it with original hardware, except a 4TB Samsung SSD. But, my laptop obviously got shipped with a faulty GPU, and even after sending it in and getting returned after a repair, it is not fixed. They just replaced the supposedly faulty SSD I sent it in with, and shipped it back to me with a new one. The laptop originally showed graphical artifacts, ingame as well as out of games, especially often when connected via HDMI to an external TV - that issue strangely stopped happening. But bluescreens happened too, when the external TV was connected and the event log entries point to the GPU as source („Resetting TDR“, source: nvlddmkm). Basically the GPU driver giving up and having to reset, as far as I understand. And THAT issue persists and makes the laptop unusable to me.
So, now I am in the process of returning the laptop to the seller, but am unsure if I want to replace it - or buy a different model altogether. My experience with HP support was.. awful. They told me that because I bought the laptop a month AND TWO DAYS AGO, they’re not able to just send me a brand new Victus as replacement, EVEN THOUGH they didn’t even go through the usual 1st level Support troubleshooting steps with me, but just accepted my description + video and recognized that it was a hardware issue. Still, no full replacement possible. If I didn’t try and troubleshoot the issue myself first (worked IT Support for ~10yrs), and reported the problem below that imaginary „1 month mark“, they would’ve just replaced my model - which is frustrating to say the least.
Now, on to my laptop needs:
Budget: 1-1.5k€
Country: Austria
Screen Size: at least 16“
Display: At least 120Hz, good brightness, 2K resolution preferred
Thermals: umm.. good ones? It shouldn’t burn my lap when I’m using it to play.. Binding of Isaac for example.
Fan Sound: The lower, the better. In idle/„non gaming mode“, while only using MS Office apps for work, I shouldn’t hear a fan basically. While gaming noticeable Fan Sound is to be expected within that price range, in my opinion?
Build Quality: Very important. I want the laptop to last at least 3-4 years without issues. Maybe do a battery replacement, SSD or RAM upgrade if possible, but besides that it should generally last that long without build quality issues.
Audio Quality: Not an audiophile. Decent speaker quality is good enough, I should be able to watch a show or movie with them as well as game without issues. Don’t expect Hi-Fi Sound within that price range.
Camera: OK camera. Good enough to use for standard virtual work conferencing.
Weight: Can be a bit on the heaviebulkier side. Laptop will not be transported around beyond my home that much. It will mostly stay at home and getting moved around there.
Main purpose of Laptop: Gaming & Media Center, „MS Office“ type of work
Most demanding games: Diablo 4, Cyberpunk 2077. should be able to run current games with at least 60 FPS.
Battery life: A bit better than the Victus would be appreciated. Since the laptop is not getting moved around that much, it’s not the highest priority though. The Victus, on battery while gaming, lasted only around 30-60 minutes max. 2 hours would be better (obviously).
Other notes: Laptop doesn’t have to look like a Gaming Laptop, but keyboard lighting is a must for use in dark lit rooms. And yes, I know, the Victus doesn’t have that - but it was on sale, so I accepted that.

If I didn’t try and troubleshoot the issue myself first (worked IT Support for ~10yrs), and reported the problem below that imaginary „1 month mark“, they would’ve just replaced my model - which is frustrating to say the least.
Now, on to my laptop needs:
Budget: 1-1.5k€
Country: Austria
Screen Size: at least 16“
Display: At least 120Hz, good brightness, 2K resolution preferred
Thermals: umm.. good ones? It shouldn’t burn my lap when I’m using it to play.. Binding of Isaac for example.
Fan Sound: The lower, the better. In idle/„non gaming mode“, while only using MS Office apps for work, I shouldn’t hear a fan basically. While gaming noticeable Fan Sound is to be expected within that price range, in my opinion?
Build Quality: Very important. I want the laptop to last at least 3-4 years without issues. Maybe do a battery replacement, SSD or RAM upgrade if possible, but besides that it should generally last that long without build quality issues.
Audio Quality: Not an audiophile. Decent speaker quality is good enough, I should be able to watch a show or movie with them as well as game without issues. Don’t expect Hi-Fi Sound within that price range.
Camera: OK camera. Good enough to use for standard virtual work conferencing.
Weight: Can be a bit on the heaviebulkier side. Laptop will not be transported around beyond my home that much. It will mostly stay at home and getting moved around there.
Main purpose of Laptop: Gaming & Media Center, „MS Office“ type of work
Most demanding games: Diablo 4, Cyberpunk 2077. should be able to run current games with at least 60 FPS.
Battery life: A bit better than the Victus would be appreciated. Since the laptop is not getting moved around that much, it’s not the highest priority though. The Victus, on battery while gaming, lasted only around 30-60 minutes max. 2 hours would be better (obviously).
Other notes: Laptop doesn’t have to look like a Gaming Laptop, but keyboard lighting is a must for use in dark lit rooms. And yes, I know, the Victus doesn’t have that - but it was on sale, so I accepted that.
