 | I have a FO I made out of malabrigo mecha yarn that I now want to frog and make into something new. The thing is…. The yarn is single ply, and I’m worried that frogging it will make it into a kind of fluffy felted disaster! Anyone have experience with this? 2024.05.14 02:40 LeucineZoo Why does the “back” of tapestry crochet tend to have cleaner colour-change edges than the front?
I’m attempting my first tapestry crochet pattern and have read through many posts on this topic so far, and I see a lot of people mentioning that the back tends to look cleaner than the front. Do we know why this is the case? When stitches are made consistently in turned work (ie working your sc or hdc or what have you the same way regardless of which side of the work is facing you) shouldn’t the two sides be identical/have the same amount of stitch tilt? Would love to hear from people with more tapestry crochet experience!

 | Finally completed this snuggly cardigan. I messed up on the sleeves because I forgot to increase closer to the armhole join but that's a lesson learned for next time. It took me a couple of weeks, with breaks in-between, to finish but despite the mistakes, I'm happy with the end result, and, it fits me! The button band is crocheted as I did the one before. I'm debating adding some wooden buttons but I'm not in any rush to put them on, if you guys have an opinion I'd be happy to hear them. 😁☺️😁 submitted by Particular-Ad-6663 to knitting [link] [comments] King Cole Indulge Chunky Yarn. 7mm needles for the ribbing, 10mm needles stockinette stitch and the band I used a 7mm crochet hook. No pattern. I just worked out how big I wanted and made 1 x back panel, 2 x matching front panels, 2 x sleeves and crocheted the button band. |

2024.05.14 00:54 Stefanie1983 This is frustrating... a rant
Working on my first bigger project, Sigoni Macaroni's infinity scarf on YouTube. As a beginner, I still work quite slowly, so these 15 inches of scarf took quite a long time. But they looked shit. Dropped stitches somewhere, tried to add them, started using stitch markers at the ends and still the number of stitches kept varying (like 34 on the even rows, 36 on the odd rows when it was supposed to be 35. How is that even possible?) Everything looked highly irregular and not like I would want to wear it in the end so I frogged the whole. Damn. Thing. Started over with 30 stitches and stitch markers every 10 stitches. If I keep losing stitches I guess I'm too stupid to crochet anything bigger than a bookmark. Yeah, I'm really frustrated right now. Thank you for reading. Rant over!
