Di post ini, aku mau cerita bedasarkan kisah nyata dari sebagian besar orang yang pernah ngobrol sama aku (plus dengan pengalamanku pas bersama mereka) dan mungkin ini bisa menggerakkan hati atau kita makin positif sih. Ada 2 cerita yang bakalan aku bahas, dan kalian bisa pilih aja mau cerita mana yang mau kalian baca. And ofc, i make it short to save everyone's time.
The story has 2 perspective : Gojek, dan Tukang parkir (niatnya mau ada tambahan 1 lagi, yaitu cerita tentang guruku.. maybe next time i guess.)
Let's start with Gojek.
Gojek Kejadian ini terjadi pasca tahun 2021-an (kalo ga salah). Ceritanya, Sahabat jauh dari solo pulang ke sentul dan aku main sama beliau sambil ngobrol bareng kondisi-nya disana. Kami bercengkrama sampai dengan jam 8 malam, dan aku memutuskan untuk pulang (karena nyokap udah nyariin). Aku akhirnya dianterin pulang dengan mobil nyokap sahabatku yang kebetulan lagi satu jalan dari AEON. tapi, aku denger kabar kata-nya bokap-nya temen tiba-tiba sakit dan Nyokap-nya perlu beli obat. Aku nawarin untuk nemenin beli obat + nunjukin apotik terdekat, tapi akhirnya aku cukup minta diberhentiin aja di Lampu merah dekat CCM. Karena aku takut-nya mengganggu juga + takut pulang kemaleman. Cukup ucapan semoga cepat sembuh, dan akhirnya pergi ke kantor polisi perempatan CCM buat pesan Gojek.
Jujur, aku kaget ketika yang dateng ketika pesen Gojek yang dateng adalah perempuan. Aku ga permasalahin kamu kerja jadi apa... tapi dengan kondisi malem seperti ini dan beliau berani narik Gojek? oh my. That's a daring move and deserve my respect. Tapi pas aku mau naik, beliau bilang.. ini baru pertama kali dia ambil pesanan malem-malem dan kebetulan aga capek (kalo ga salah inget). Aku tawarin untuk ngendarain motornya (it was a scoopy. its has good handling but slow as snail speed. but it has good fuel economy. hehe, maaf terlalu mendiskripsikan motornya).
Kami ngobrol di jalan dong... tanya-tanya abis ngapain dan ini itu. Sampai aku nanya ke beliau "Ibu kenapa mau kerja jadi Go-Jek?". Beliau dengan lumayan santai-nya bilang something along like "Karena ada-nya ini pada saat ini, dan saya harus membiayain kedua anak saya". Aku sambil mengucapkan maaf nanya kepada beliau "Maaf bu, saya kalo boleh nanya.. Suami ibu apakah tidak kerja?". Beliau bilang "Suami saya kabur". That bring a chill on my spine... karena ini ngobrol secara langsung. Beliau bela-belain Nganter barang sampai malam, dan bahkan nyoba nge-gojek. it's somewhat shows how mother figure should always be. She wants nothing but her kids to become succeed and didnt end up like her.
And today 2024, i share her story to here... it shows that maybe even at the very rock bottom, you cannot see down but only up. and you need to keep on going whatever your situation is.
okay, Mari kita langsung aja cerita kedua.
Tukang Parkir Mixue Miksu (ga boleh nyebut merek meskipun keliatan dikit, atleast its for the sake of the funni)
Nah, ini sebenarnya kejadian yag masih baru-baru banget. Cerita-nya ini abis ngampus.. Karena lagi kepengen makan eskrim, pergilah aku ke Miksu deket Sate Tegal Laka-laka yang ada di cibinong. Kebetulan disitu ada tukang parkir (yang kebetulan sering ketemuan dan dia ramah).. ngobrol lah aku sama beliau. He give me many wise words dan saran sebelum beranjak ke dunia yang bener-bener dewasa. it was all fun and game.
But then, i ask him... "Tapi pak, dengan pemikiran dan wawasan yang luas. Kenapa bapak jadi tukang parkir?" He said ketika beliau di pelabuhan tanjung priuk, dulunya dia kerja sebagai pengangkut barang dan disukai sama bos-nya karena etos kerja-nya yang tinggi (Sambil nunjukin kertas kerja-nya, dan dokumen penting lainnya ketika kerja di pelabuhan tanjung priuk. I was surprised how did he trust me to the point to show me this). He got paid handsomely, dan dia kerja dari pagi ke pagi. Sampai ketika orang dalam plays along dan kompetisi yang ga sehat mulai masuk. Dia suka disenggol dan begitu sebagai-nya... dan bahkan sudah berfikir kalo sebagai pengangkut barang udah bukan passion dia lagi (karena terkadang dia mesti berantem pas ngangkut barang di jalan entah sama pungli, dll).
Dan dimasa dimana dia udah kepala 5 atau 6 ini (kalo ga salah). Dia hanya ingin meninggal dengan tenang aja. Dia bilang sama aku "Keinginan muda dan tau pasti berbeda. Semakin kamu tua, kamu semakin belajar kalo dalam hidup itu ga semuanya bisa kamu dapatkan. tapi kamu ga boleh nyerah, dan harus tekun".
He's respectable person... even as tukang parkir. Maybe some people doesnt have a choice and ended up like him. Bahkan orang berjasa kayak beliau aja di-injek". like damn..... Hope he's having a good day

tuan rumah masih menghuni. aku dgn wife dtg bincang, bgtau yg rumah dia aku da beli so, dia pun setuju utk kosongkan rumah lepas 3bulan sambil support instalmen aku sepanjang 3 bulan tu. proses berjalan dgn aman je membuatkan aku bersemangat nak beli sebijik rumah lagi.
lelong taklah seindah didengar sbb, tunggakan api, air, indah water, cukai pintu suma kita kena tanggung. tapi syukur la sbb tak byk mana kecuali cukai pintu je 1800 tertunggak.

I’m a bit bored so I’m going to list and describe the different elective monarchies of the world today. I’ve chosen nations I consider elective monarchies and not those often considered as such. This list will only include sovereign monarchies and not sub-national monarchies.
Kingdom of Cambodia 🇰🇭 Cambodia’s head of state is the King of Cambodia. Unlike Cambodia’s neighbor, Thailand, the King of Cambodia is elected for life from the two royal houses of the kingdom: the House of Norodom and the House of Sisowath; both are eligible due to descent from King Ang Duong.
When a King dies, the Royal Council of the Throne will assembly and secretly elect the next monarch from the legitimate male members of the two houses. The past few monarchs, including the current, are from the House of Norodom which seems like it will be the primary house for a while. The council consists of the PM, and the presidents and vice presidents of the both houses of the legislature of Cambodia. It also includes the patriarchs (2 of them) from 2 monastic orders.
Independent State of Samoa🇼🇸 Samoa is often called a parliamentary republic since its government is very similar to parliamentary republics. The head of state is the O le Ao o le Malo (chief of the government) of Samoa, who is styled His/Her Highness. The O le Ao o le Malo is elected by the Fono, the Samoaon parliament, for terms of 5 years either a maximum of 2 terms. The constitution suggested that the O le Ao o le Malo be elected from 2 of the senior paramount chirfly dynasties from the nation (sometimes considered royal or noble dynasties). The positions was originally for life but is now for 2 5 year terms. But in 2021, the government said it is planning on making it for life again.
The O le Ao o le Malo is the ceremonial head and has no real power, similar to positions like the President of India. Cabinet, the Fono and the courts actually govern the nation. Still, since every officeholder has been from the two dynasties, making this an elective monarchy.
Malaysia 🇲🇾 By far the most famous elective monarchy is Malaysia. Malaysia’s elected head of state is the Yang-di Pertuan Agong, or paramount leader. The nation is a constitutional monarchy so the paramount leader has no real power and the cabinet and parliamentary actually govern the nation.
The paramount leader is NOT the ‘king of Malaysia.’ however, malaysia still has kings. of the 13 Malaysian states, 4 have ceremonial governors appointed by the paramount leader and 9 have hereditary monarchies. Of the 9, 7 have sultans, 1 has a Raja, and 1 has a Grand Ruler who is elected by local noblemen.
All of the subnational monarchs and the governors sit on the Council of Rulers. Only the monarchs on the council can actually make any decisions and elect the Yang-di Pertuan Agong from amongst themselves. By convention, the position has rotated for 5 year terms among the 9 monarchs.
Countries that have become monarchical/dynastic by convention
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea 🇰🇵 DPRK being a monarchy has come up recently in this sub. The state is officially a communist republic, naturally making its government messy. It has no president currently. Kim Jong-un holds three main officers: General Secretary of the Worker’s Party of Korea (making him highest politician as head of the dominant/only party), President of the State Affairs of the DPRK (making him the highest executive), and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army (making him the lead of the military).
While the constitution doesn’t say anything about dynastic succession to the leadership positions, it has become convention for the party to always choose men from the Mount Paektu Bloodline, which started with the first leader of the nation, Kim Il-sung. The party has always nominated the senior member of the bloodline for general secretary and the assembly has always elected the singular member who is the only candidate on the ballot.
United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 The UAE is a federation of 7 emirates in the Arabian Peninsula. The government is lead by the President, and the Vice President who is also Prime Minister. Both presidencies are elected by the Supreme Council, which they are members of for life or upon the deaths or resignations of the officeholders. The council is made up of the seven sheikhs/emirs of the 7 emirates of the UAE who come from 7 royal families, making the nation a federal monarchy.
The constitution doesnt specify any bloodline or individual for the presidencies, but by convention, the president is always the ruler of Abu Dhabi and the Vice President is always the ruler of Dubai, Effectively making the nation an elective monarchy by convention.

The Vatican City-State 🇻🇦
The Vatican is a tiny city state contained within the city of Rome, in Italy. the city is an ecclesiastical state, lead by the head of the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope. The official title is Supreme Pontiff and an additional title of authority that is held is Bishop of Rome. The Pope is elected for life by the Papal Conclave, which is the College of Cardinals, from a member of the church. I think the requirement is to be a bishop or a cardinal, though I forget. Since the Pope is also not a dynasty by law or convention, i don’t consider the position as a monarchy, and not even an elective monarchy.

Since January di na po kami okay ng mother ko. Only child lang po ako, present po both magulang ko and my mother was always there to support me sa mga school activities, big events, etc. Even got to provide me a debut. But she was never really present as I was growing up. Parati po siya nasa office of course to give me a comfortable life. I’m actually proud of how far my family has come, from a small bungalow house, both my parents managed to get well-paying jobs and upgraded our house to a three-story, and can afford a lot for me.
So a background of me, I(F) am now turning 20 in July. I run a Twitter account with a good amount of followers, (3k, nothing crazy) that mainly focuses on a hobby. The community is very big, but I am mostly mutuals or friends with online people who are LGBTQ+. I identify myself as a lesbian. Most of the friends I made there are also Filipinos and I’ve met up with them a few times. We don’t really do anything bad or unusual, we just geek about our hobby. Despite this, I have a balance of my irl and online friends. I have multiple circles before that made me happy, different kinds of people to hang out with.
A background of my mother(55). She’s very religious, unlike my father, but we never had time for church until this issue happened. I promise you, we never went to church even once a month, only during Holy Week. We also have a huge age gap, she was 36 when she had me. She’s very conservative and still old-schooled. So you can safely assume, she doesn’t want her only child and daughter to be a lesbian.
I will tell you, all my life, my mother was focused on me. She could always log into my Facebook account ever since I created it til I reached 18, because I remembered it vividly that she’d agreed to let me go when I reach 18. She could always read any conversation I had with friends, which was akward at times when guy friends would send inappropriate memes which is normal and not even harmful as long as it’s not directed towards me or any other girls.
Back going to the actual thing that happened that completely fucked up me and my mother’s relationship. I met and fell in love with someone, a girl, on Twitter who was also Filipino of course. Eventually we came to date and I had the stupid idea to ask her out to come over at our condo, with pure intetions at first. I asked my mother beforehand if it’s okay if someone came over but I lied and said it’s my classmates coming over. She allowed me naman. So my GF(20) came and at first we just hanged out and talked, we even took a picture together and I tweeted that out to flex about her to my friends and followers, enjoying each other’s company, but of course I couldn’t help myself but do something with her. I’m sure people will have the idea what it was. My GF got home safe and I went on with my day.
The next day, or night rather, my parents drove me back home to our province. My mother asked me to try on my new school uniform she ordered (kasi po may summer uniforms uni namin) and so I did. I changed clothes in her walk-in closet and when she walked in and saw me in just my underwear she saw the marks my GF left that I failed to hide (I actually hid them the night before with concealer but I forgot to do so the next day) So of course she got upset and asked who really did come to the condo.
Later on she reveals to me that she’s been stalking my Twitter account without me knowing. Even showed me the picture me and my GF took I tweeted out. I’ve never kept my Twitter hobby a secret from my parents, I just never told them my username. Of course I didn’t want them to see the things I posted about which were mostly just fictional lesbian characters from shows or games, inappropriate jokes, dark humor that most of my generation talks about. It was my own thing but my mother still had to become nosy about it.
After all that happened, I even came clean to make her check the condo’s logbook to even reveal my GF’s name and where she lived in PH, just because I was already scared of all the degrading and shit she told me. She never physicslly abused me, but this time, the verbal abuse really hurt me. My mother was always soft when she scolded me, hindi too far na mumurahin or bibigatan ng kamay, but this time she really was. She’s a mild helicopter parent in contrast to my dad.
I came out to her and she couldn’t accept it of course and she kept saying she was a failure as a mother. She probably raised such a nice girl, I only rebelled (even a lot as a young teenager) because my parents were strict with me. I never learned how to fight back against my bullies. I was never in any issues with anyone at school like most high schoolers have nowadays.
She threatened, “Sisirain ko ang pamilya ng sumira sa pamilya natin.” She threatened she’ll ask the NBI to track down my GF, ruin her and her family.
This is no exaggeration because my mother has lots of connections and is part of the higher-ups, a chairman of the board, from one of the Philippine’s top companies that is very well known. She boasts about getting away with running red lights because she threatens the PNP by calling the head from a city. She managed to get a security guard fired just by talking to the acting manager of SMX during that time from an Anime Convention I attended just because she wouldn’t let me in again because you had to start at the very end of the line if you left the venue. Her company and SMX have a great relationship. We manage to get into the VIP Boxes at MOA Arena for concerts because her company sells tickets to client companies.
She threatened to get my GF expelled, I begged that to not happen because she’s only also a student and I was the one who initiated what we did in bed. She threatened a lot of things and continued to berate me;
“Sana inipit nalang kita.”
“Sana hindi ka na nabuhay.”
“Napakababoy mo, baboy lang ang gumagawa sa ginagawa mo.”
“Ang bakla mas malinis pa sa tomboy.”
“Gagapang ka sa kahirapan.”
“O ano? Gusto mo lumayas? Pumunta ka dun sa pamilya ng tomboy na yun mararape ka ng tatay at mga kuya non!”
“KUNG PWEDE LANG IPARAPE KITA SA SAMPUNG LALAKI”
Those two bits are true. Those left me shocked. Hindi ko inaakala kaya yun sabihin ng nanay ko. Dun ako natakot sobra. And to give my GF’s parents credit, both of them are well-off people din with manners and my GF has no brothers.
Eventually, I had a support system and reasonable people that reassured me that my mother was bluffing about everything, she just knows how much I’m a coward against her. Even told me, “Magpasalamat nga siya di ka nagdrodroga o nagyoyosi.” I have no addiction or bisyo at all.
It was difficult to heal after almost 5 months now. She still keeps bringing it up whenever she’s frustrated with me. She’s not well educated with the LGBTQ+. Doesn’t know the differences between Gender Identity, Orientation and Preference. She uses that against me.
She believes just because I’m a lesbian I’ll be changing my look into a stereotypical masc “tomboy” from the PH. Oh did I mention, she managed to make the word “tomboy” sound like a slur to me.
She keeps saying “Babae ka! Babae ka!” And I don’t even deny it, I always reply back, “Oo nga babae ako pero gusto ko padin babae.”
Sa sobrang OA ng ermats ko and her multiple breakdowns she even mentioned that she’d offer to take me to Thailand so she could pay for a genital surgery and get me a penis. I never once thought of that, hello?
All in all, of course I admit that I was always at fault and I take responsibility for lying to my parents about bringing my GF to the condo. At this point, me and my GF are still together but we are not taking any chances meeting up even if we can and have the choice to do so because we are both scared of my mother tracking us down to anywhere.
You know what happened to me? Sa sobrang takot ko sa mother ko, I never hanged out with my uni friends ever again. I’m not even joking about it, kahit ano pong aya nila sakin na kumain dito or anywhere sasabihin ko nalang. “Sorry di ako pwede baka magalit nanaman nanay ko.”

Natapos lang uni class ko one time and pauwi na ko as in sasakay ng jeep tapos itetext ako ng ermats ko, “Sino kasama mo? Kasama mo nanaman yung tomboy na yun noh?” I just finished with my last period and both my parents know about my schedule. Sa tingin niyo makakatakas pa ako?
Ever since she knows about my sexual orientation she keeps bringing it up and using it against me. Di lang ako naligo once kasi hindi ako napawisan at sobrang lamig na sa kwarto ko kasi sa AC na BUONG ARAW nakabukas, sinabihan ba naman ako, “Kahit iba na gender preference mo kailangan mo padin maging malinis sa katawan naging dugyot ka na.”
Gusto niya kami makipag-ayos at nananahimik na ko sa sobrang takot ko sakaniya but she still becomes dramatic when she can’t cuddle me in bed (nasanay siya na co-sleeping kami), I only nod, shake my head or say “mmm” when she talks to me. Hindi ko naman siya iniignore and I sumusunod padin ako sa mga utos niya.
Ako Padin Ba Yung Gago dito? I’ll accept kahit parehas kaming gago.

Other than to relax, my main purpose is for us to have a memorable first trip together since all of our travels are overnight lang sa malapit like Laguna, Quezon, Tagaytay, etc..

Hi! Im 29(F) still living with my parents. To give you a background, Breadwinner ako sa family namin, ako din ang panganay. My sister will be going na sa Canada next month para dun na manirahan with her husband. ever since nag work ako, 50% of my salary goes to my mom para sa mga needs sa bahay. Naging maganda work ko nung nag Sales ako kasi may commission kaya nakakapagbigay din ako ng malaki sa mom ko. Napa semi renovate ko din ung bahay namin , napalagyan ng kisame, nakabili ng appliances etc. Napagbakasyon ko din sila sa Boracay at nakakakain sa masasarap sa resto. Nabibigay ko din mga gusto ng parents and sister ko. Kaso habang tumatagal mejo nalulungkot lang ako kasi feeling ko kahit maganda naman work ko parang hirap pa din kami. May times na meron may time na wala at hinfi ko alam kung bakit… Last Friday, nag uusap kami ng family ko at parang nag oopen ung mommy ko na kawawa daw sya kasi di na daw sya nakakaalis, nalaman din kasi nila na magbabakasyon ako sa Thailand with my workmates, goals ko din kasi makapag out of the country trip pero parang hindi sila masaya for me na nagagawa ko ung mga gusto ko with my own money. So ayun, mejo nainis na ako tas sabi ko sa kanya “ para ka namang napapabayaan” “maswerte ka naman compare sa ibang nanay” tapos after non, umalis na kami ng sister ko at thankfully my sister understands me kung ano nafefeel ko kasi parang di grateful and naappreciate ng parents ko ung ginagawa ko for the family, na parang kulang pa din.
And ayun, hindi na nila ako pinansin.. nag self-pity na din ako and even posted ung video ni Jen Barangan about being a breadwinner pero nakacustomize lang naman na sila lang viewers kasi hinfi ko namana shinishare kahit kanino yung ganitong feelings ko.. nakakalungkot lang sa part ko na parang ang sama sama ko kahit lahat naman binibigay ko para sa kanila. Wala naman silang naging problem sakin kahit nung nag aaral palang ako.. lahat ng luho ko is galing naman sa pera ko at hinfi ako nanghihingi sa kanila. Hindi ko na alam.. Goals ko pa din naman na mabigyan ng returement fund parents ko bago ako magsettle kasi ayokong may masabi sila sakin pero ang hirap na parang kulang lahat ng ginagawa ko..
