2024.05.14 20:40 Ambitious_Weekend924 Harley rider looking to switch

So i’ve never been on an Indian, only cruisers I’ve been on are Harley’s. First bike was an ‘03 Sportster 1200, current bike is an ‘05 dyna low rider. Indians have been catching my eye as of late, especially the Sport Chief and the Chief Bobber. Love the looks, and on paper the performance out of both bikes seem extremely promising. If y’all had some arguments for me to make the switch to Indian from Harley what would they be?

2024.05.14 18:03 ReportsStack Hair Restoration Market Size, Industry Trends & Growth Analysis from 2024 to 2030

The global hair restoration market is anticipated to exhibit a noteworthy compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 15% from 2021 to 2027, having been valued at USD 4.3 billion in 2020. One of the primary drivers of this growth is the rising prevalence of androgenetic alopecia worldwide. Additionally, the increasing consumption of tobacco and alcohol is projected to further propel market expansion. According to the most recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 14% of adults aged 18 and above reported smoking cigarettes in 2019.

Market Trends:
Technological Advancements: Over the years, there has been a remarkable evolution in the field of hair restoration technologies. Innovations such as robotic hair transplantation systems, which offer precision and efficiency in graft extraction and implantation, have revolutionized surgical procedures. Stem cell therapy and PRP treatments have also gained prominence for their potential to stimulate hair growth and improve overall hair health.
Increasing Demand for Non-Invasive Procedures: As people seek less invasive alternatives to traditional surgical methods, non-invasive procedures like PRP therapy and LLLT have become increasingly popular. These treatments offer advantages such as minimal downtime, reduced discomfort, and lower risk of complications, making them appealing options for individuals looking to address hair loss without undergoing surgery.
Rising Popularity of Hair Transplants: Hair transplant procedures have seen a surge in demand worldwide. This growth can be attributed to advancements in transplant techniques, such as follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation (FUT), which result in more natural-looking outcomes. Moreover, the increasing societal acceptance of aesthetic procedures has encouraged more people to consider hair transplants as a viable solution for hair loss.
Expanding Target Demographics: While hair restoration was traditionally associated with older individuals, there's a notable shift as younger demographics, including millennials, become increasingly interested in preventative treatments and cosmetic enhancements. Factors such as heightened social media presence and a desire for aesthetic improvement drive this trend, with younger individuals seeking to maintain or enhance their hair density at an earlier age.
Growing Awareness and Acceptance: With greater awareness about the available treatment options and a reduced stigma surrounding hair loss, more individuals are seeking professional help for their hair restoration concerns. This shift in attitude reflects a broader societal acceptance of cosmetic interventions to address aesthetic issues, contributing to the overall growth of the market.
Market Opportunities:
The hair restoration market presents several compelling opportunities for growth and innovation. With technological advancements driving the development of more effective and minimally invasive procedures, there is a significant opportunity to meet the growing demand for non-surgical solutions. Additionally, expanding target demographics, including younger individuals seeking preventative treatments and cosmetic enhancements, open avenues for market expansion. The rising acceptance of hair restoration treatments, fueled by increased awareness and reduced stigma surrounding hair loss, further contributes to market growth potential. Moreover, emerging markets offer untapped opportunities, driven by factors such as rising disposable incomes, improving healthcare infrastructure, and evolving beauty standards.

2024.05.14 02:40 mercuryhg17 2021 Xsr700 vs xsr900 for heavier rider?

Hey yall, I'm trying to decide between the two bikes but can't make up my mind. The 2021 xsr700 has 500 miles and is ~$8000. The 2021 xsr900 has 2100 miles, and they're asking ~$9000. I haven't negotiated with either sellers, so I no idea if they'll come down at all.
I am 25, 280 lbs, and I used to ride an sv650 thorough high school. Grew up riding dirt bikes for fun and, while I know it's no where near the same, bicycles have been a major part in my life so I'm pretty aware of what my body is doing and how to move it.
My reasoning for questioning these two bikes is that I don't want to get bored of the xsr700, and I'm not sure if my weight will make it ride less than ideal or negate some power. I feel that if I rode the xsr900 in rain mode for a while, I could work my way up to full power without getting bored. Honestly, most of my riding will either be freeway and exploring city and back roads. I don't really have many canyons or twisty roads in my area to race around on.
What say you all? Is the xsr700 power and ride sufficient for my weight? What other benefits are there? Maybe cheaper insurance?
Edit: I'd also like to add that I have a nagging part of my brain that says it might be fun to go the bobbecruiser route. If that's the path I go down, I'd like a indian Scout Bobber, but there are zero for sale in my area, and I'm not a huge fan of the price tag attached. Does anyone have any experience with a 2014 yamaha bolt r-spec? I know these 3 bikes are all pretty 6 any advice would be appreciated. I can get the bolt for $5k but fear the lack of power even more than the xsr700 (obviously).

2024.05.13 22:37 mceiah77 Where to buy replacement rear brake pad pin for 2020 touring?

I have a 2020 Street Glide Special with about 38,000 miles on it. I’ve been doing my own brakes for the last few years using EBC brake pads. I love the pads and they’re about half the cost of the OEM pads from Harley, but they don’t come with pins or clips. I’ve been reusing mine, but they’re starting to look pretty worn. For those of you who do your own brakes - do you buy OEM from Harley every couple of times? I see the brake pad pins for sale for the front calipers by Drag Specialities, but I can’t find any for the rear. From what I’m reading, the rear pin is slightly longer than the fronts. Thanks for your help!

First Harley
This bike has been my dad’s for over 10 years now. I always assumed that he would keep it forever but last week he mentioned that it was going up for sale. Well, what kind of a son would I be if I didn’t try to keep it in the family?! 2010 Road Glide with Screamin Eagle dual exhaust system, cams, enforcer wheels, and a Screamin Eagle race tuner. Yesterday was my first day riding a Harley and I get it now. It’s a great bike. How’d I do?

Boomer Karen being a Karen on Nextdoor
I get email notices for popular posts on Next Door. I saw the start of the first post and I knew I had to look.
Boomer Karen peaked my interest, so I clicked on her name and found a years worth of Karen and choosy beggar moments. My favorite was the second screenshot of what she felt it should cost and why her husband became irate.

2024.05.11 04:34 Obvious-Science6471 Advice for first Harley

I'm shopping around for a new bike as my previous bike bit the dust and wasn't worth fixing(2000 750cc bobber). I decided if I'm going to get a newer bike, I'll do it right and get something that won't shit out on me within a year.
So my question is, what would you all recommend for first time bike from Harley?

2024.05.10 16:15 MrWhiteLabCoat DC Post-Crisis Complete Omni Reading Order

Hello Everyone!
About a month ago I put together a fairly comprehensive reading list for DC post-crisis Omnis (Along with a few great pre-crisis runs). I know there is a ton of crossover in some of these volumes but my goal was to make something where someone can read an entire omni from front to back before moving onto the next one without too many spoilers. I'm now including some absolutes and deluxe editions of runs that are considered "essential" to the DC universe such as Year One and Superman by Byrne. I got some great feedback and have been adding and modifying based off that feedback and my own reading. I figured I would post this every so often as new omnis are released, new members join the group and well, just because. So, what do you all think of the list? What would you add? 2024.05.10 01:36 ChocolateCoveredCorn Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro vs Drop + Dan Clark Audio Aeon Closed X (DCA Closed X)

[ US ] $300 - $400
Hi I'm new to all this audiophile stuff (Audiophilia?), my first "good" headphones were my Linsoul Simgot EM6L's that I loved dearly but broke in less than a year. I'm looking to move on to something better!
I was originally looking at the HiFiMan Edition XS because their on-site clearance sale put them right in my price bracket whether I wanted to go with new or refurbished. Unfortunately I didn't know quite what "sound leakage" actually meant, and how much there would be! So I've moved away from those, now I'm looking at exclusively closed back headphones; leakage from those should be okay, I'm usually in my room alone with my door closed so my family shouldn't hear it.
Now I'm trying to decide on either the (Title.) Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro's or the Drop + DCA Aeon Closed X's. I can find the latter at a pretty good price (And in really good condition.) on ebay, so If I buy those I'll probably be getting them used. I'd probably do the same for the former so this distinction was pointless but I am too lazy to go back and revise a fucking Reddit post. I just need help deciding which one. Or If there is another model that I do not know about that would suit me even better, having that brought to me awareness would be amazing!
I listen to a lot of folk punk music that could be recorded on the microphone of an old Nokia phone, but I also listen to Rock, Pop, and Indie (Specific, I know!) like: Ayesha Erotica, HIM, Mitski, My Chemical Romance, SOPHIE, Penelope Scott, Doechii, Megan Thee Stallion, Lana Del Rey, and more recently Ethel Cain (REALLY liking her!). Other artists I don't listen to as much: FKA Twigs, Brooke Candy, Tinashe, Big Thief, Kreayshawn, and Slayyyter. And the folk punk if you're interested: Pat the Bunny and all his bands (obligatory), Days N Daze, Local News Legend, Harley Poe, Stick and Poke, Apes of the State, Kimya Dawson, and Mischief Brew.
I also play a lot of videogames (I should say; "I play videogames a lot.", my pool of games is not very large.), I'm having a lot of fun with League of Legends right now and I just broke up with Valorant and Overwatch, but knowing how I am I'll probably relapse very soon! Because of those, imaging (I think that's what it's called, hearing where footsteps come from, etc.) is important enough to mention. And then of course whatever is currently popular that I play with friends.
For gear, I'm currently still using my EM6L's just plugged into my shitty MSI gaming monitor. I did get a pretty good deal on a Schiit stack on ebay, it's the both the newest Modi and Magni for $200 and they're both arriving this weekend (excited!).
So overall, I'm just trying to decide on either the DT 1770 Pro's or the Drop DCA Closed X's. If you have another suggestion, and you want to send me down another rabbit hole then fuck you I hate this hobby but please do it anyway as I do value your input and am very interested.
Thank you for any advice or input you may have to offer, u/ChocolateCoveredCorn out! :3c

Just started riding, got a Suzuki Savage to learn to ride on
Hey all. I'm new to this. I did a MSA course at Harley and went out and bought a $1k Suzuki. I put new tires on it gave it a tune up and oil change and will swap the seat this week. I bought new shocks for it but the bushing holes are too small so I need to return them and buy and more. It's a bobber but I may add a reader fender and saddle bags. I like riding so far. I haven't gone on interstate yet but have put a good amount of miles on it. I haven't got my "M" endorsement yet because my DMV is trying to screw me out of $625 saying I didn't have insurance on one vehicle 4 years ago. So I'm putting that off for now. The only issue I have with the bike is it backfires a lot. I need to make some adjustments in the carb. I'll probably upgrade to a bigger Cruiser after I get really comfortable. I practice low speed turns nearly everyday in the local abandoned mall parking lot.

Pearce Joza, Tanzyn Crawford, Lake Bell & Randall Park To Star In Miles Levin Directorial Debut ‘Under The Lights’
Production studio Vanishing Angle has announced the production of the ensemble drama Under The Lights, directed by Miles Levin in his directorial debut. Based on an award-winning script by Levin, the film is produced by Vanishing Angle’s Natalie Metzger, and is executive produced by Levin, Matt Miller and Carlos Quesada. UTA is handling world sales.
The all-star cast includes Pearce Joza (Disney’s ZOMBIES franchise, Mech X-4), Tanzyn Crawford (Servant, Tiny Beautiful Things), Lake Bell (Bless This Mess, Harley Quinn, In A World…), Randall Park (Wandavision, Always Be My Maybe), Marin Hinkle (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Jumanji: The Next Level), Mary Holland (Senior Year, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates), and Kevin Carroll (Till, Snowfall, The Leftovers), with Nick Offerman (The Last of Us, Civil War, Parks and Recreation) in a supporting role.
In the film, Sam (Joza) is a boy with epilepsy, so desperate to feel like a “normal” kid, he goes to prom knowing that the lights will make him have a seizure. The story is drawn from director Miles Levin’s real-life experiences with epilepsy.
The script won the Fan Favorite Award in Tribeca’s Untold Stories program, the Grand Prize of Screencraft’s Film Fund, and landed in the top 1% of the Nicholl Fellowship finalists. The original short film the script is based on generated a worldwide movement with international fan art to end stigma around epilepsy.
“It’s humbling to make a project and see it explode into a movement that is meaningful for so many,” said director Miles Levin.
“It’s an honor to produce Miles’ directorial debut with such an incredible story and amazing cast. We’ve all been inspired by him,” said producer Natalie Metzger.
Miles Levin is a writedirector whose work has played numerous festivals including winning Best Short at the Savannah Film Festival, Directorial Discovery Award at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, and Best Humanitarian Short at Sedona Film Festival. Miles is also a prominent public speaker and patient advocate about epilepsy.
Vanishing Angle’s current projects include the Sony Classics title It Ain’t Over, now playing on Netflix, 2024 SXSW title Cold Wallet and Tribeca title The Secret Art of Human Flight which will have a theatrical release through Level 33 Entertainment this July.
Pearce Joza is repped by LBI Entertainment and CESD Talent Agency, Tanzyn Crawford is repped by Buchwald, Karli Doumanis at Zero Gravity Management and MCSM in Australia, Lake Bell is repped by UTA, Entertainment 360 and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, Randall Park is repped by UTA and Artists First, Marin Hinkle is repped by Innovative Artists and Framework Entertainment, Kevin Carroll is repped by Innovative Artists and Susanna Griffith Talent, Mary Holland is repped by CAA, Atlas Artists and Ziffren Brittenham, with Nick Offerman repped by UTA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime LeVine Sample & Klein.

Only one seller of this type of slotted cavity cover with a slot for re-stringing and two slots for making claw screw adjusments. Some guitars like Schecter and Harley Benton come with a cover like this but I haven't been able to find this style for sale.
This one seller is on multiple sites but only sells it in black and, of all things, silver, and not white.

2024.05.06 05:20 Background-Pipe5691 Guys I’m torn.. E91 owner planning to swap but options are plentiful!

So I started going over the list of repairs all of my beams need and I honestly when i wrote it down on paper realized my F30 N55 m sport is a complete step in the wrong direction. My E91 was my first beam and honestly it handles the best and I will own it til I die. That being said the sale of the f30 plus my Harley will leave me with ab 15-20k.
Supercharged N52 mated to an 8zf with an adapter plate and tcu plus m3 body (minus rear arches) plus paint is sitting right about at 20k.
A E90 335xi N55 donor car is like 10-15k with a 6 speed auto but will come with about the power I’m trying to make though. Prob could replace rod bearings, timing chain and failure gaskets for under 20k total.
I love the N55 in my F30 but the steering feel is dead hence why I see no reason to progress into a fun daily and will be focusing my attention on the Wagon instead. They do make a drifting F30 E90 hydraulic steering rack kit but it’s a couple grand and not designed to daily. But I won’t get the 8 speed swap for a long time and I am nervous ab a used n55 whereas n52s are dirt cheap and very robust especially for my power goal of around 350awhp. What would you guys do? I already have my interior setup how I want it and have an E36 to daily and time so I am really got the time and money to send the wagon project. I’ve considered an LS and 335D swaps but AWD is a must I absolutely love it.

High KM 2014 Electra Glide Limited
Looking for an opinion from the Harley Gurus. Up here in the Frozen North (Canada) I’ve managed find this beauty and am wondering if the price seems fair. It has 90,000 Miles, (144,000km), is apparently in immaculate shape, and I can get her for $7300 USD (10,000 CAD).
Any opinions on these bikes or this sale in general would be greatly appreciated. I don’t have much experience with bikes newer than 2007 so this is foreign to me. Lol. Thanks fellas.

2024.05.05 01:28 Drvyd Struggling to choose a first bike (cruiser)

Hey everybody,
Basically, as the title says, I’m having a difficult time choosing my first bike. I love the style of the Honda rebel 500 or 1100, Harley Davidson iron 883 and Indian scout bobber.
However, I sat down on a rebel and was extremely disappointed in comfort. Was watching some reviews on the Indian scout bobber and the said the same. One of the sales reps advised against the iron 883 in terms of unreliability. So I’m feeling a bit lost.
I would say about 50% of the time would be Street city riding and 50% of the time would be highway cruising 150+ miles one way.
I sat down on a Kawasaki 800 drifter and fell in love with the comfort. It was the most comfortable bike I ever sat on. the suspension, felt like air, suspension floor panel foot rests for myself and my passenger. It was truly just next level comfort that I didn’t even know existed on a motorcycle , with that said I’m not a fan of the styling it the classic Indian style wasn’t my taste. I do like Indian hence the Indian scout bobber, but I don’t particularly like the style of that 800 drifter.
So I defer to you guys and hopes that y’all can help me find some sort of in between in terms of styling and comfort. I’m not kidding when I completely shifted gears from the rebel 500 to that Kawasaki 800 drifter because of how comfortable it would’ve been.
I’m in the $5000 price range so I’m gonna buy used. I really appreciate any input that you guys would have.
Thank you so much and happy riding.

2024.05.04 05:12 Ok-Debt1784 Importing Personal Vehicle from Canada to the US - New Requirements

Im having a rough time finding out how to get some letters required for importing my personal vehicles from Canada to the US.
I have a 2021 Ford truck and a 2008 Harley. I have letters of compliance for both, bill of sale, all the government documents filled in, but the last piece of the puzzle are the following: regional value content, labour value content and steel and aluminum purchasing requirements letters.
These letters are described as being required on the cbp.gov trade website under free entry. As both vehicles are more than 3 years old the letters are required under the USMCA (United States Mexico Canada agreement) Eligibility U.S Goods Returned. Without them I’m required to pay duty AND use an importer. Both I’m trying to avoid to keep costs down.
The manufacturer of the vehicles told me they don’t provide those documents (only the compliance letter) I’ve searched online and can’t find any information on them.
Does anyone know how to obtain these letters? Is this actually just a really big joke to make me go insane? It seems like a racket either way, I have everything else that’s required and they are personal vehicles and I have my green card!
Thanks I’m advance, I appreciate the time.
