Hello! I have never used Reddit before, and I wasn't quite sure what to title this post, or what subreddit to put it in.
I have a half sister, and recently it has been bothering me that I do not know anything about her at all. She in is pictures from when I was little, playing with me and my brother, however I do not remember her much but from photos she often played with us. If I had to guess, she was a teenager or in her 20s when I was a toddleyoung child (and now I am in my late teens). My parents have zero contact with her due to an unfortunate situation in which she had stolen from them and other members of my family (I think she was a little bit troubled growing up with a strange environment on her mother's side - she is my Dad's daughter - and it resulted in her doing bad things. I don't think I can fully blame her for much that happened for them to fall out as there are probably two sides to every story, but I know it was very upsetting for my Dad and apparently she was quite nasty to him). Additionally, I know that after everything happened my Dad tried to contact her / keep in contact with her which resulted in very little, and that her mother often tried to manipulate her against him or would not make her aware of his reaching out.
This is honestly all I know of the situation and it troubles me deeply that I know so little. I haven't asked my parents much about it as I know it upsets them (mainly my Dad, I truly cannot remember a time he has every mentioned her name) and that I haven't really cared at all about the fact I have a sister until the past couple of years. It didn't really hit me until around 2021/2022 that I should have a sister and I don't due to things that happened when I was too little to understand, now all I have of her are old photos and the knowledge that we would play hide and seek a lot.
I decided to search from her online a bit after I turned 18, sparked by a boy I knew who's own Dad reached out to tell him on his 18th birthday that he actually had a half brother which made me wonder for some reason why my sister has never reached out to me. When I turned 18 I felt a little as if someone owed it to me, as if she should message me since I'm an adult now. I found her Facebook and Instagram, but she was private on both / had no posts. I only knew it was definitely her as the accounts had the same profile picture and a few of my family members also followed her Instagram account. It shocked me seeing her face, I thought she was beautiful and looked nothing like me (except maybe the eyes) and it felt like there was this whole person that I deserved to know, apart from some photographs, that is now a grown woman. It hit me quite hard after that, like I finally understood she was a real person.
For some clarification, some of my Dad's side of the family are still in contact with her (I am assuming). I didn't know this until I was maybe 15, and my parents didn't exactly know it either. I don't think my Dad was upset his family were in contact and seeing her, more that he was not involved in the process (his family isn't the nicest/it's a weird situation that is too much too unpack here). It happened when we were at a cousin's birthday party and suddenly my parents were extremely uncomfortable, and after an hour or two we got my brother (who was it the other room) and left. Turns out, my Dad's side of the family had invited her to this party without telling him, and she was there in the other room. Sat next to my brother and my Nan, whilst my brother was completely unaware. He had no idea who she was, and none of our family had decided to tell him? That is a specific part I cannot get over.
Anyways. I've just found her LinkedIn profile, and I am honestly desperate to know anything about her as there isn't anything online at all other than her name and a few photos (most of which from the 2010's). The whole situation just upsets me deeply. Why hasn't she reached out at all? I get why she would have reserves, maybe she doesn't want to, but it still hurts me that I have zero connection with her, know nothing about her but her name, because I should have a sister!!! It also makes me angry, because she is a grown woman now and was so much older than me at the time and why would she not want to make me aware of her, and I now constantly find myself dwelling on if she even thinks about me at all.
I know I should ask my parents (probably my Mum) about the whole thing, maybe explain my upset about it, however I am currently at University and I feel like it is more of a face to face conversation. I also do not get to see my Dad's side of the family much at all, and I would really never go to one of them about it as it would feel like a betrayal to my parents instead of just asking them. There is also the fear at the back of my mind that I will somehow run into members of my Dad's side of the family and that they are with her, and I will be totally unprepared for it.
I don't know. I don't want to reach out myself. I don't even know if I am posting this in the right place. Just a bit of a vent (my friends vaguely know I have a half sister but I've never gotten into it much and don't want to drop the conversation on them), as well as asking for some advice or if anyone has ever had a similar situation. Back in 2010 I was selling my house, and at the same time my aunt moved from California to my state, she couldn’t keep a job so I offered for her to live with me in the house I was renting. I was only going to be here for a few years but it was a good location, she was helping with rent and my daughter so we stayed longer. I am renting from a friend, so it was helping her while it was helping me. My friend recently moved to Texas, and decided she might be interested in selling. Makes sense, she’s not in this state anymore. She sent over a realtor to check it out to see the listing price they could go for. When I talked to my friend about the update and if they were going to put it on the market, she mentioned that the house looks great except for my aunts room. The realtor told her that she might need to gut the whole thing because the smell alone. I never go in there and she keeps it shut, I knew she was messy but I didn’t realize the extent of it. I went in there today just out of curiosity and it honestly looked like an episode of hoarders. The smell was like nothing I’ve ever smelt!!!! Like old people old powder old food and trash and old armpit and crotch. I took some pictures because I knew no one in my family would believe me (or maybe they would) But I also was told from my friend/landlord that my aunt told her she was moving o I’m August but hasn’t told me and wasn’t going to, that she didn’t want my family to know. Let me also mention when I let her move with me, I gave her the master room so that she wouldn’t have to share a bathroom with my daughter. Last June I was in a car accident that almost killed Me. I was in icu rehab etc and gone from the house for almost a year, and still paid my bills. I didn’t want her to worry about my part. This accident has changed my life, I can’t drive or work since I’ve been out of hospital because my vision is messed up on left side, and doctor won’t let me drive. It’s been a nightmare to say the least. My question is, as a Christian I’m torn, do I mention that I know her plans, do I cut her off completely, do I just not say anything and let her dog her own grave.
And my next things is, please pray!!!!!! It’s a lot for me having to find a new home with no income just a couple months of returning home. I know God cares for us and even more than the birds who are taken care of. So I’m asking prayer for peace that surpasses all understanding, for doors to open up, for clarity on how to deal her. How to honor the landlord, and how to honor God above all in all this chaos!!!!!!!!

I was with my first love for 3 and a bit years, we met in late 2010 before we broke up 10 years ago in early 2014. We were young and in our early 20s back then, things just fizzled out.
I've always thought about her but eventually we went our separate ways, she got in to a relationship with another guy after me for a few years but eventually he ended up cheating on her, this was around 2017.
After her breakup in 2017 I confessed my feelings for her but we didn't go anywhere with it as she was still healing so I told her I need to cut her off at the point because I told her I was struggling to be just friends with her, to which she said that she was heartbroken that's it come to us parting ways. But we wished each other well and went our separate ways. I was really at my lowest at that point but have come a really long way since in terms of having a successful career and have improved a lot financially and mentally.
At the start of 2019, she did add me on social media but she didn't say anything to me so a few days later I ended up deleting her because I realised I still wasn't over her, I regretted deleting her afterwards.
At the end of 2019 I heard that she was engaged, she ended up getting married but then I heard she got divorced around a year and a half ago. A few monthds ago I found out that the reason for her divorce was because her husband cheated on her and was abusive towards her. They got divorced around early 2022.
As for me I did get in to another relationship with someone else but I was also cheated on so I have been single for a few years now, I have been evolving in my career and proud of how far I've come and have recently started a new chapter in my career. I considered getting in touch with her a few months ago but I noticed that she had cut off a lot of people from her social media so I wasnt too sure how she'd react to me adding her, I thought she'd reject me seen as she's cutting off a lot of people.
So around 3 months ago I took the plunge seen as I had nothing to lose and sent her a request on instagram, and she has accepted and also followed me back. She's been viewing my stories and a month ago I posted a life quote on my story which she liked, I haven't spoke to her yet. I posted a few pictures of myself which she hasn't liked but A few weeks ago I posted a quote on my story that said 'be the reason for someone's pain to turn into a smile', she liked that quote and also another one that I posted last week. It was my birthday a few days ago and she liked a birthday story that I posted on instagram. I'm limiting the amount of posts that I like of hers because I don't want to seem too forward.
I'm assuming she is single but not entirely sure. I added her 3 months ago but she deleted me, I was confused because she only liked one of my stories few days prior. I would have liked to see if there was future for us but don't think she's interested now, i have messaged her saying 'Hi, hope your well. I probably should have said something a long time ago but I didn't, my fault. I've been praying for you, today I realise I've been deleted anyways I hope your keeping happy and healthy'. She replied saying 'Hey I'm good thanks hope you are too, that is kind of you, I didn't expect this kind of message'.
I didn't really know what to say back to her, I still don't understand why she deleted me even though days before she was showing an interest in my stories before and now she's deleted me. I have just replied saying 'that's good. Sorry for catching you off guard with it, I wanted to reach out to you earlier. I'm glad your doing well though' and now she has replied back saying 'can I ask why?' I replied back saying 'It's been on my mind for a while to get back in touch with you, I didn't add you for no reason. But we don't need to if it's not something your comfortable with'. She has now sent a long message as follows: 'You don’t make me feel uncomfortable. I have thought about you over the years and wished you well.
I removed you because you have my ex and his family on your instagram and I removed everyone who has any contact with them. You will have heard that I was married there for a short period of time but it was hell and now I’m out of it I don’t want them knowing anything about my life, so I removed everyone who has any link with them. I didn’t realise till that day that you did. It was nothing to do with you personally.' .
Im not actually friends with her ex husband as he is just someone that lives nearby to me and we have never spoken so I have now replied with this: 'I'm sorry that you had to go through that, I hope your okay and I pray god brings you ease. I wouldn't exactly say I have anything to do with them personally though, only thing I know about them is that they're from my area too. It makes sense now and it's understandable why you did that.'
She has replied back again saying 'I'm great, God is the best of planners and it was the best thing for me. Even so, I removed everyone who had us both so sorry about that' and to which I have replied 'That's fair enough, I'm glad to hear your doing well though and that your at peace now. That's what matters most'. She had now asked 'how have you been, what's new with you?' I have just replied saying 'I'm not too bad thanks, life's changed a lot since we last spoke so there's quite a lot that's new lol'. That was few nights ago, and after that we were speaking generally about the holiday that I'm currently on and what to do as she has been here before too and she also asked how long I'm there for, it was in general a short and civilised conversation.
She ended the conversation 6 nights ago by liking my last message, I don't know if she plans to message me again as she did take a few hours to reply between each message, What are the chances that she'll message me even if we don't follow each other on instagram anymore. I am slightly anxious that she won't message me after this due to her deleting me because her ex is on my Instagram. Was thinking of just giving her space for a few more days, then deleting her ex and requesting her back in around a weeks time.

My sister had a lockbox with a key that was Disney fairies themed. It was pink or purple, tulip shaped, and had a green handle that looked like a vine. There are no pictures of it online as far as I can tell, maybe I’m just searching the wrong thing though? The closest thing I could find was this eBay listing for a Silvermist jewelry box and playset thing. It’s very close in shape but nothing else. The one my sister had was not a playset, and played a sound when it was opened. It had a key to open it, and was probably from around 2006-2010.

2003 Tacoma TRD Off-Road w/ 267k miles Rebuild
I’ve been thinking of doing a much needed rebuild on my (pictured) 2003 Tacoma TRD Off-Road with 267K on the ODO, but not sure whether a Tacoma with this kind of mileage is worth the resto. I’ve loved this truck since I picked it up in 2010, but it has been sitting for a few years and only getting around town here or there in the warmer months. I’d love to see my truck as a daily driver and something to enjoy campsites and trails again.
Before I do anything, I’d like to get the thing looked at to make sure the chassis isn’t rusted out and it is safe to drive. If all is clear, would this truck be worth the time and money to rebuild and drive for another 200K?
Curious to know what everyone has done and in what order with their high mileage 3.4 V6 TRDs to keep them going well into the higher mileage. Any and all advice would be deeply appreciated.

Update from a while back.
A while back I posted about a 2010 dodge I had brought in to me. It came in for head gasket replacement and customer with the boss backing backing them even after what was found, to just do a motor swap. After two cycles of purple power degreaser for around 12 hours each time and being hit with a pressure washer both times this is how the heads came out. Not perfect but a sight better than there were. Pictures include before and after. I still am not happy about this job but I just work here.

I'm looking for this one game possibly made in the 90's for education of elementary level science. The only thing I can remember is the rom icon being the picture of a talking test tube guy with a lab coat and glasses with bubbles popping where the hole of the test tube is smiling
Each version is slightly different in the color theme as I remember one for animals being green, another version would be teal etc.
The character in question I will mention again is a talking and walking test tube with glasses with the fluid colored green and a white lab coat who is occasionally occupied with a helping hand corresponding to the topic of the version you're playing
I'm from the USA, so if anyone remembers this on their school's PC at the time around the mid to late 90's or through out the 2000's and early 2010's, this may give a jog in the memories of remembering the game

Hey Everyone,
I am looking for a Diary I (think) purchased in 2007/2008 at a scholastic bookfair (Australia). I had the diary from 2007/ 2008 to 2010. The Diary was A5, blue, white (and potentially light pink). It had a puppy or a kitten sitting in fluffy clouds on the cover. Small butterflies may have been on it (as one of the pictures shows). The art style of the cover was watercolours/ realistic - similar to the images I included. The diary had a small silver lock and key on its side. It was fairly thick, I want to say over 100 pages. The inside of the diary was not plain white. It was lined paper with light blue edges around the corners. I am haunted by the fact that I remember it so vividly but cant find it. Help me out, Reddit!
I have searched for scholastic archived catalogues so far. Unfortunately, there are barely any archived scholastic catalogues online.

As an American who has been to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland has a quaintness to it that no other park seems to have. This is purely based on YouTube videos and pictures and is on my bucket list of parks to do. I understand the history and the perceived betrayal from the Hong Kong government that Disney did when Shanghai was announced. However, from 2010 until last year it seemed they were getting expansion after expansion. I think no other park received as many expansions as Hong Kong, seven rides/lands with half a dozen shows, a new hotel, and a new castle, in addition to a variety of special events.
That is where my question comes in. With all the new expansion over the past nearly 15 years, do you think HK will continue to get expansions, improvements, or new additions regularly? Or, because of the massive amount of expansion it has been given, the next decade won’t see anything else happen?
I think we won’t see anything new until 2027-2028 at the earliest. But the company will put in something new every three to four years. I think the Avengers E-ticket gets announced next at D-23 2026, for a 2028 opening.

Maryse accepts and we get a brief feud for a couple weeks where Maryse does everything in her power for Tiffany to not be 100% come Elimination Chamber, while Tiffany shows resilience during the road to her biggest match of her career.*
\ (SMACKDOWN) Mickie James kicks-off SmackDown as the new WWE Women's Champion, holding that title up in the air with pride & joy! Mickie begins talking about all her struggles and everything she had to go through just to get to this moment, Lay-Cool interrupt Mickie's moment and they demand for Mickie to hand them back the title since she didn't win it fair and square, but James isn't having none of that, she challenges one member of Lay-Cool to a championship match at Elimination Chamber, Lay-Cool finally decides that it should be Layla who gets the opportunity since Michelle lost the last time. Layla is able to pin Mickie during a tag match leading up to E.C building momentum towards it.*

Later on the night, Kelly & Eve Torres defeat Alicia & Jillian Hall in a tag team match while Maryse is on commentary shamming her future opponent! Maryse retains her title over Kelly Kelly on RAW, but she is informed that a battle royal will take place where the winner faces her at WrestleMania 26 for the Divas Championship! A returning Melina returns from injury and wins the battle royal!*
\ (SMACKDOWN) Mickie James is still WWE Women's Champion after a hard-fought battle with Layla! She embraces her victory on SmackDown alongside Maria, but quickly Lay Cool step in and interrupt James' moment. Michelle demands a rematch for the title at WrestleMania, she defeats Mickie in a tag team match and gets herself a title match at the biggest stage of them all, however after the match Beth Phoenix defeats attacks all four women on the ring and makes a statement. She defeats Maria the following week and talks to Teddy Long about being in the title picture at WrestleMania! Teddy grants Beth a match against Michelle, and if she defeats Michelle she will be added to the match! Michelle talks to Mickie backstage and tells her as much as she despises her, she doesn't want Beth in the mix, so she asks Mickie to help her. Beth still is able to defeat Michelle and inserts herself in the title match at Mania.*

We get a six-women tag team match where Tiffany, Kelly & Rosa defeat Beth & Lay Cool after Tiffany pins Michelle. Layla is able to retain the title after finally pinning Beth with Michelle's help. Following week, Kelly Kelly & Tiffany battle Lay Cool in a tag team match, Kelly finally pins the champion and is granted a championship match for MITB.*

Gail retains over Eve in fashion and cements her legacy, Natalya however wants to show Gail what a good beatdown is, she wins a #1 contenders match on RAW and earns herself an opportunity at Summer Slam competing for the Divas Championship.*
\ (SMACKDOWN) Layla brags during the show about her being the most flawless champion, her & Michelle get matching belts as well to complement one another and start bullying Tiffany & Kelly even more, until Tiffany snaps at both of them and attacks them backstage until Kelly also joins in and a full-on brawl occurs. Tiffany & Kelly talk to Teddy about this situation, and they want Lay Cool at Summer Slam! A tag match is made official for Summer Slam, but not just a regular tag match a NO DQ tag team match.*

If the Marvel Cinematic Universe started in the 1990s...I still think the slate of films would be the exact same but different distribution studios would probably be used for certain films and how I would have seen it happening starting from:

Shows like Loki, The Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision, What If, Ms Marvel, She Hulk, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion and Hawkeye would have most likely all been TV miniseries on actual TV like on CBS or ABC or on 20th Century Fox TV
