2024.06.07 20:54 Foreign_Operation472 Birthday Cake Replacement?

My son's birthday party is this weekend. Does anyone have a recommendation for a CSID friendly and dairy free birthday treat to replace a birthday cake for an elementary kid??
We're new to this and my son is pretty devastated by it, while admitting that he is feeling better on his restricted diet. His birthday party is this weekend and I'd love to have something special for him knowing that typical birthday cake is a no go.
Thank you!

2024.06.07 20:48 Foreign_Operation472 Meal and Grocery Help!

Hello! My son's GI put him on a CSID elimination diet based on his small intestine biopsy results. They also have him dairy free due to really low lactase levels, and he starts pancreatic enzyme supplement next week based on his stool test results.
He's in elementary school, and CSID and dairy elimination diets have been tough for him.
When you go to the grocery store, what do you stock up on? Do you have any good meal recommendations? Any snack recommendations?
Any ideas are helpful and so appreciated. Thank you!

2024.06.07 19:53 KingEdithonus Losing hope / running out of options

Hey guys. I'm a male going on 30 yrs old and have struggled with chronic fatigue for most of my life. The earliest I remember it starting was in elementary / middle school when I'd fall asleep during class / struggle severely to stay awake.
I've taken (and still take Adderall) for years and feel that it helps some but not always a lot. Days can differ drastically. Some days I have more energy than others. I also take Lexapro for anxiety / depression.
Along with the fatigue I'll have bad brain fog. Meaning sometimes it's hard for me to absorb or retain information, put thoughts into words as well as I want to, think deeply about a topic, etc.
I've tried taking different doses of Adderall, taking it multiple times throughout the day, taking the XR VS the regular. I've tried Concerta, Vyvanse, Strattera, Ritalin, and I can't ever tell a big difference between any of them.
I drink 2 energy drinks on average just to stay awake and function, which I hate doing for multiple reasons, and sometimes it doesn't even help as much as I need it too.
My basic vitals such as BMI, body fat %, cholesterol, blood sugar are all within optimal range.
I've seen an endocrinologist and have had CBC w/ differential, magnesium, comprehensive metabolic panel, total cortisol, ACTH, free thyroxine, TSH 3rd Gen, RBC sed rate, testosterone (free and total), FSH, LH, prolactin, urinalysis, another CMP, DHEA, ANA screen, TSH with reflex to free T4, rheumatoid factor, c-reactive protein, and vit D testing done. I've also had chest xrays, EKGs, and a sleep study done. The sleep study found moderate OSA that I'm currently treating. I was told every other test and scan has been normal.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I know it's hard as factors can differ with everyone, but I need to do something. I sleep 7 hours a night on average and sleep well, don't wake up a lot if at all.
Thank you

2024.06.07 18:34 ardentrushu Welcome to r/stormlightrpg

What is the Stormlight RPG?

A table-top role-playing game (TTRPG) created in partnership with Dragonsteel and Brotherwise Games. The newly announced Kickstarter will be available to back this August.

What is this subreddit for?

This subreddit will eventually be a place to discuss the game mechanics, find games, tell stories from your home games, discuss how it all ties into existing lore, etc.
But seeing as the information we have is limited and speculative at the moment, we're doing a "soft launch" of the sub to give you somewhere to share your hype and said speculation.

Why can't I make a post?

Until there's more to talk about, we're keeping the sub in restricted mode, which means only mods can post. But we plan to refresh the megathreads every so often throughout the summer to keep the conversation alive. If you have suggestions for a topic, feel free to share it in the comments below.

How does this sub relate to the other Sanderson/Cosmere subs?

Currently, this sub is being handled by a fraction of the larger mod team that takes care of stormlight_archive, cosmere, mistborn, and brandonsanderson. While some of our basic rules are the same (eg: rule 1, "Show respect to others"), you may notice some differences as well. Notably...

What about spoilers?

Because of the nature of a game subreddit being a whole different beast, we will have a very relaxed spoiler policy when it comes to content from the Stormlight Archive books. Because—unlike the books, where mechanics are plot reveals—mechanics are core information for a game. And we don't want to be policing every comment digging into the reasoning behind them.
We will remove intentional and irrelevant spoilers that don't add to a discussion, and may (on a case by case basis) restrict certain threads. But at the moment, you may consider most spoilers fair game.

So, what are you looking forward to?

Let us know in the comments!

2024.06.07 18:11 saumikn Why St. Louis should not build the Green Line

Why St. Louis should not build the Green Line
Note: This post was copy-pasted from my blog, but I’ve put the full text (minus images) here so it’s easier to engage with. I wrote this so it's more general about light rail, but this post was directly inspired by the St. Louis North-South Metrolink (i.e. Green Line), since I think it's a really bad use case for light rail and I want to advocate against its construction. Most of the examples I reference in the article come from St. Louis, when possible.
If you're not interested in the general bus/light rail debate and only care about the relevancy to St. Louis, I essentially want our city to create something like this 100 mile BRT network instead, which will cost about half the price of the 5.6 mile Green Line and be exponentially more useful to all St. Louis residents.

Introduction

Light rail (or LRT) is a type of transit which uses street-running, at-grade trains to transport passengers. It’s been seeing a growing surge of interest in American cities over the last few decades, and politicians across the country are proposing light rail as a solution to their cities’ transit challenges. The reason is that light rail is seen as a technology which can improve a city’s transportation network at a fraction of the cost of heavy rail (i.e. subways or elevated rail).
However, I strongly feel that we should not be pursuing the construction of new light rail (and the related mode of streetcars) systems in America. The simple reason for this is cost - new light rail lines cost anywhere between $100 million to $200 million per mile to construct. As an example, the proposed 5.6 mile St. Louis Green Line) is projected to cost $1.1 billion.
This high price tag isn’t inherently a bad thing. There have been many expensive projects over history which were well worth the cost. The problem with light rail specifically is that we get almost no value back from its construction. For transit riders, there are almost no benefits to a light rail line over a simple bus line, and in a lot of respects, light rail is even worse for riders. And for cities as a whole, light rail does lead to some improvements and increased development, but at a scale which is very out of line with its high cost.
Instead of light rail or streetcars, I propose that transit agencies invest heavily in a different mode of transit - “Light BRT”. If you haven’t heard of this term before, it’s because I invented it for the purposes of this article, as there is no single widespread term which characterizes this mode. I’m personally hoping that the phrase Light BRT catches on, as it’s a very convenient nomenclature to describe these existing transit lines and in a way which is easily distinguishable from the more traditional Gold-Standard or Heavy BRT.
So what is Light BRT? Essentially, Light BRT is a type of city bus which includes many infrastructure upgrades to increase the speed and reliability of the bus line. While not every light BRT line has all of these features, in general, light BRT lines are characterized by the following:
  • Wider stop spacing: Light BRT buses have stops every 1/4 to 1/2 miles, rather than the 1/8 to 1/4 mile stop spacing of regular city buses. This reduces the amount of time the bus spends at stops.
  • High frequency: Light BRT lines come frequently, ideally at least every 10 minutes. This reduces passenger waiting time.
  • Signal priority: Light BRT buses have technology which integrates with city traffic lights. This reduces the amount of time the bus is waiting at a red light.
  • Off-board fare collection: Instead of the bus operator collecting fares for each passenger, passengers pay at the station itself, and fares are validated using a proof-of-payment system. This reduces the amount of time the bus spends at stops.
  • Bus lanes: Light BRT may operate either entirely or partially in dedicated transit lanes. This increases bus travel speeds while in motion.
  • Larger buses: Light BRT takes advantage of larger buses with many doors, such as articulated or bi-articulated buses. This increases the capacity of the system and reduces the amount of time the bus spends at stops.
Each of these improvements leads to a much nicer transit experience for passengers, directly leading to faster trips and higher ridership. For example, in Minneapolis, the D Line launched in late 2022, where they implemented most of the above features on the existing #5 local bus. The D Line was a huge success, well beyond anyone’s expectations. In the first month alone, ridership on the D Line increased 50% when compared with the previous city bus. And by the end of the first year, ridership had nearly doubled! As of early 2024, the D Line has a ridership of over 13,000 daily riders, a number which is actually higher than many light rail systems, and this number is projected to hit 23,000 riders by 2030.
And the best part? This line was incredibly cheap. The 18 mile D Line cost about $75 million in total to construct, for an average cost of about $4 million per mile. Compared to light rail, which can cost $200 million per mile, light BRT is a steal. Or in other words, for the same cost it would take to build a 5 mile LRT line, we could build over 200 miles of light BRT, leading to a much better transit network for an entire city.
As a side note, I want to contrast Light BRT with the more traditional form of BRT (which I’ll denote as “Heavy BRT”) which features very prominently in the transit systems of many international cities like Istanbul, Jakarta, and Bogota. Heavy BRT is also growing in popularity in the US in cities like Albuquerque, Richmond, and Cleveland. It is characterized by a dedicated concrete guideway which separates the bus from car traffic, and often features center running operations. There is a wide range of intensity of BRT operations (hence the need for the BRT Standard rubric). But in general, heavy BRT can cost anywhere between $8 million to $50 million per mile to construct, with the lower end of this spectrum mostly resembling light BRT.
In the rest of this post, I hope to make a convincing argument on why we should stop building new light rail and streetcar lines, and instead transition to prioritizing light BRT. First, I will give a brief overview on the various forms of transit so that we have a common set of definitions to work off of. Next, I will provide an objective set of differences between light rail and light BRT, going over the benefits and drawbacks of each mode for both transit riders and non-riders. Finally, I will give my personal opinions on each of these differences, and why I believe that we should not pursue light rail in America.
In many of the examples and discussions, I will specifically reference the example of the proposed St. Louis Green Line LRT, since it’s one I’m more familiar with and I think it’s an example of an egregiously bad light rail line. But my comments are generally applicable to any new light rail or streetcar line in the US.

Overview of Transit Modes

In this section, I’ll give a brief overview of the various types of transit modes which are built with rail and buses.

Types of Rail

  • Heavy Rail: This is the highest capacity and most expensive transit mode, consisting of long train sets operating in an entirely grade-separated right-of-way. Examples include the New York Subway or the Chicago L.
  • Light Rail: This is a lower capacity mode and less expensive than heavy rail. LRT systems are mostly not grade-separated, but run alongside street corridors, usually operating in a dedicated lane outside mixed traffic. Examples of light rail are the Minneapolis Light Rail or the San Diego Trolley.
  • Heavy+Light Rail: As a side note, there are many LRT systems which are very close to heavy rail but are still considered light rail. In these systems, where the vast majority of the system is grade-separated and operates like heavy rail, but there are still a few at-grade crossings. Examples of this are the Seattle Link or the St. Louis MetroLink.
  • Streetcars: In America, the distinction between LRT and streetcars is very fuzzy, but in general, streetcars usually refer to at-grade trains which run in mixed traffic, and are essentially treated like a city bus on rails instead of tires. Examples of streetcars include the Portland Streetcar or the Kansas City Streetcar.

Types of Buses

  • "Heavy" BRT: Heavy BRT aims to replicate heavy or light rail with buses as much as possible, with dedicated concrete guideways separated from mixed traffic and rail-like stations. Examples of heavy BRT include the Albuquerque ART or the Cleveland HealthLine.
  • "Light" BRT: Light BRT can be thought of as an upgraded city bus, with features like transit signal priority, optimized stop spacing, and off-board fare collection. Examples of light BRT include the Minneapolis aBRT, the New York SBS, or the Seattle RapidRide.
  • City Buses: This is the standard mode bus which operates in every major city, operating in mixed traffic without any extra features to improve transit operations. It’s possible for buses to use special propulsion technology like electric engines with batteries, or elevated wires (i.e. trolleybuses).

Light Rail vs Light BRT

Next, I will go over the differences between light rail and light BRT. Because there are a lot of differences, I’m going to organize my thoughts into two sections. First, I will discuss the difference between modes in terms of the experiences that actual riders on the system will encounter. Second, I will discuss the difference between modes for everybody else - how it affects non-riders, government officials, citizens, etc. In both of these sections, I’ll describe what makes LRT better than light BRT, and vice versa, and I will do my best to make these sections as objective as possible.
Before I begin, I would like to acknowledge that many of these thoughts come from my reading on transit modes and systems around the country. In particular, Jarrett Walker’s post on Rail-Bus Differences was a very useful starting point for this post. Also, I'd like to acknowledge the discussions I’ve had with other transit enthusiasts for pointing out things I've missed (shout-out St. Louis Urbanists!)

Differences for Transit Riders

How Light Rail is better than Light BRT

  • Overall Capacity: This is the biggest, most-cited reason why light rail is better than light BRT. Most common LRT vehicles have a carrying capacity of 200 to 300 passengers per car and can be connected in sets of two or three cars. Assuming a maximum of 2 minute frequency, this gives us a potential capacity of 27k passengers per hour per direction (PPHPD). On the other hand, the largest bi-articulated buses can carry 300 passengers at most. With no ability to combine buses together, this means a maximum capacity of 9k PPHPD.
  • Bike/Wheelchair Capacity: On a related note, LRT can carry not only more passengers, but more large mobility aids like bikes, wheelchairs, or strollers. A single bus can only really hold 3 bikes on the front racks, while the interiors of LRT can be arranged to accommodate more bikes. The extra space on LRT also allows for more space for wheelchairs, strollers, scooters, and other types of mobility devices, or even just large items in general like suitcases or furniture.
  • Ride Smoothness: Because LRT is on metal rails, it is more smooth while accelerating, decelerating, and driving. This can be mitigated for buses by ensuring the street is well-paved and using bulb stations so that buses don't have to switch lanes every other block, but some intrinsic difference remains.

How Light Rail is equal to Light BRT

  • Speed: Overall, the speed of buses and trains on city streets are approximately the same. I've seen some claims that buses are slightly faster at accelerating/decelerating, but most of the speed differences are due to the infrastructure supporting the transit, not the vehicles themselves. If both modes have dedicated lanes, signal priority, equal stop spacing, and off-board fare collection, they will both be roughly the same speed.
  • System Legibility: For new riders who have never taken transit, learning how to take the train is generally easier to learn how to take the bus. However, with enough effort, transit operators can make buses just as legible. Well-designed maps can highlight BRT routes, and bright, continuous, red-painted lanes make it equally easy to understand the direction of a bus and a physical rail line.

How Light Rail is worse than Light BRT

  • Operating Costs: The data shows that LRT generally has higher operating costs than buses. According to analysis by Christopher MacKechnie in 2020, in America, buses have an hourly operating cost of $122, while LRT has an hourly operating cost of costs $233 per hour. What this means for riders is that transit operators can afford to run more buses than trains under a fixed operating budget. As an example, if an agency is planning to run an LRT with 15 minute frequency, they could afford to run a bus with 8 minute frequency for the same cost, providing a much more useful service.
  • Dealing with Obstacles: Because LRT is on rails, there is essentially no way for it to maneuver around obstacles or go in places where there is no rail. This is most obviously a problem if there is an accident or the rails are blocked by e.g. a parked car. But even more importantly, this is a long-term issue that can prevent full service. For example, the 2022 St. Louis floods damaged the light rail signal box at one station, causing all trains to be plagued with single-tracking and slow speeds for nearly two years! If this were a BRT, the bus could just pick an alternate road to go around without harming operations.
  • Fewer Transfers: Because LRT is limited to rails, it makes it much more difficult to extend a route once it’s created. This forces passengers from outside to the immediate vicinity of the rails to transfer from a bus. For example, in St. Louis, we currently have the #4 and #11 buses which go from the edge of the city to downtown. But when the Green Line is built, these passengers will mostly likely be forced to get off the bus and transfer to the new LRT, and then transfer again to get to downtown. On the other hand, in an open BRT system, buses can easily be extended to continue past the end of the line, reducing transfers for customers.
  • Ease of Expansion: On a related note, the high costs of construction can make it difficult to ever expand an LRT system in the future. In St. Louis, there have been plans floating to extend the Green Line north, to cover the rest of the #4 bus route. But just this week, a new report suggested that this extension might not be politically feasible. And there is essentially no discussion at all about a potential southern expansion to cover the rest of the #11’s route. On the other hand, light BRT coverage is much easier to expand, since the base road network already exists.

Differences for non-Transit Riders

How Light Rail is better than Light BRT

  • Energy Efficiency: Trains are more energy efficient than buses, because of the gains of efficiency by using rails. This difference is reduced to some degree if you consider the energy usage of a three-car light rail vs a single bus, but overall, trains are more efficient on a per-passenger basis. Unfortunately, I can’t actually find hard numbers on how much energy exactly is being saved.
  • Maintenance: Trains require less maintenance than buses, and an electric train car will last longer than an electric bus. Additionally, trains cause less damage to roads, so you don’t have to maintain the steel rails as often as you do with the concrete pavement.
  • Development: An investment of hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars into LRT signifies a huge commitment that a government has towards improving that corridor. As a result, new train lines tend to lead to more private development surrounding the stations than new bus lines. However, the magnitude of this effect is quite unclear. For instance, a report from the St. Louis Fed concluded, “The general consensus from the academic literature and the findings presented in this report is that light rail is not a catalyst for economic development, but rather light rail can help guide economic development.”
  • Rail Bias: Possibly as a result of the above intrinsic differences mentioned, because of differences in actual implementation, or some unknown psychological difference, people tend to prefer trains over an equally useful bus. This leads to both higher ridership, and more prestige for a region (e.g. “We’re not a real city until we have a few train lines”)

How Light Rail is worse than Light BRT

  • Construction Cost: This is the biggest reason that Light BRT is better than Light Rail. In America, Light Rail tends to cost $100M-200M per mile to construct (e.g. the proposed St. Louis Green Line will cost $196M per mile for the 5.6 mile route). On the other hand, Light BRT costs maybe $5M per mile (e.g. the recently built Minneapolis D Line cost $75M for an 18 mile route).

Conclusion

Finally, I will conclude this article with some of my opinions on the facts described above, going over each of the major differences between Light Rail and Light BRT.

Why LRT is not better than Light BRT

The biggest factor in favor of LRT, capacity, is not a relevant distinction for essentially any new project, as light BRT has enough capacity to operate most LRT routes. For example, the proposed Green Line LRT in St. Louis has a projected daily ridership of 5k. A hypothetical light BRT could carry nearly 9k passengers every hour, well above the needed capacity. I actually couldn’t find a single example of a light rail system in the entire United States which needs the capacity of light rail and couldn’t get by with buses. If somebody has a counterexample in the comments, I’d love to see it.
One thing to note is that the ongoing driver shortage might change this math. For example, one could imagine a corridor where an LRT with 15-minute frequency has enough capacity but a bus with 15-minute frequency doesn’t. My two comments about this is that (1) If the driver shortage is such a big deal that it’s limiting frequency, that should definitely be the priority for where to spend money, and (2) If you’re only running 15-minute headways, then this is not exactly a corridor that needs significant transit investment in the first place.
Another note is that buses generally have enough capacity for day to day operations, but occasional large events like sports games or concerts might overrun this capacity. I would suggest in these cases to run special express buses on these days to transport passengers, rather than overbuilding rail capacity for most of the year.
I ride my bike and take it onto transit often, so I understand the appeal of bringing your bike on board to a light rail. But in reality, if our goal is to help urban cyclists, we would be much better off actually building protected bike lanes for a fraction of the cost of light rail. Alternatively, if St. Louis had an effective bus network, I wouldn’t even need to take my bike onto trains; I could just use the bus system to make connections!
Every other factor for transit riders actually favors light BRT over light rail. The smoothness of trains is nice, and makes it easier to read or work or relax while on it. But if I had to decide between a smooth LRT with 15-minute frequency and a less smooth light BRT with 8-minute frequency, I would definitely prefer the light BRT. And then when you consider that LRT usually leads to additional transfers for riders (usually to buses anyways), this only makes light BRT more attractive.
In terms of non-transit factors, I agree that rail leads to more development than buses. But if development is really our goal, we have much more effective and targeted methods for actually inducing development. For example, we could subsidize private development through upzoning and tax abatements or even take the money to build public development directly.
The factor of permanence is easily overcome - you could simply take the $200 million per mile which would have been used to construct the LRT and put it in a trust which can legally only be spent on transit operations in this corridor. The consideration of maintenance and efficiency also goes away based on LRT cost, as the interest alone from saved construction costs could be used to pay for maintenance and green energy technology many times over.

What should we do instead of Light Rail?

I’ve spent this entire post talking about reasons we shouldn’t build light rail. So what should we do instead? The short answer: it depends entirely on your priorities and why you even want to build light rail in the first place. If you’re going to spend $1.1 billion on a light rail line (as St. Louis has proposed to do), here are some things you could do with it instead:
Transit: If your priority is to help transit riders, you would be much better off by building Light BRT instead, for 1/40th of the cost. (i.e. for every mile of LRT you build, you could afford to build 40 miles of Light BRT). The above image is an quick example of what a potential 100 mile Light BRT system could look like in St. Louis. It would cost $400 million to build, instead of the $1 billion, 5 mile Green Line. You could then take the remaining $600 million to place in a trust fund for guaranteeing high frequency service along all these routes for years to come.
If you consider federal matching as part of your calculation, it’s roughly the case that the FTA will cover 80% of the cost of new light rail projects, and 50% of the cost of bus projects. For St. Louis specifically, both the 5.6 mile Green Line and my proposed 100 mile light BRT network would both cost $200 million in local funding, with the federal government picking up the rest of the costs. I would definitely argue that the 100 mile BRT network provides a much higher value for $200 million than the 5 mile train line.
Long-Term Savings: If your goal is to reduce long term costs on street maintenance with LRT, you could instead take the $1 billion and put it in a fund to gain interest. The $40M you would get every year would be enough to quintuple current city street maintenance (we currently spend about $9M every year across the entire city).
Environmental Impact: I don’t have any numbers to back this up, but I imagine that the difference in emissions between an electric LRV and electric bus is not that high to begin with. On the other hand, you could just take the $1 billion and give a free 3kW solar system to every single household in the city, which would save many orders of magnitude more emissions.
Development: If your priority is to spur development, you should just take the $1 billion and use it to directly incentivize new construction. This could be done with tax abatements, paid-for without hurting school budgets. A very back-of-the-napkin estimate is that if $10 million is enough to cover this abatement, then $1.1 billion would be enough to pay for almost $16 billion in new development projects, 32,000 new housing units and 165,000 sqft of commercial space. For some context, in the last 10 years (2014-2023), St. Louis gained only gained 7,034 new housing units total. I haven’t seen any direct numbers as to how much development is expected from the Green Line, but I would expect this amount is far less than $16 billion, considering the state of the literature on LRT development referenced above. As a specific example, the Wellston station in St. Louis has been open for more than 20 years and still borders a huge undeveloped plot of grass.
Bus Network Externalities: Some may object to my previous two recommendations of using the money to build solar panels and create tax abatements, rather than building transit, since funding sources are often not transferable like this, and rail funding might only be usable for transit projects. In these cases, I would still suggest building a large 100 mile light BRT transit network instead of a 5 mile light rail line. While I don’t have numbers to support this, I would strongly expect that this 100 mile network would lead to more emission reductions and more economic development than the 5 mile LRT line.

Takeaway

In my opinion, when you consider all of the differences, there is really no reason why we should be building Light Rail or Streetcars anywhere in America. For transit riders, light BRT provides an arguably more useful service than LRT, at a fraction of the cost. For non transit-riders, LRT does have some positive effects, but in an incredibly cost-inefficient manner.
I’m sure this post has some very controversial opinions. If you disagree with me, and think I’m missing some broader point about LRT, feel free to let me know in the comments. I’m especially interested in actual case studies where the capacity of LRT was necessary over light BRT, or where LRT demonstrably led to increased development.

Types of Buses

How Light Rail is equal to Light BRT

How Light Rail is worse than Light BRT

Differences for non-Transit Riders

How Light Rail is better than Light BRT

How Light Rail is worse than Light BRT

2024.06.07 17:48 GremlinDumDum AITAH for being too tired to clean my room

Slight tw for mentions of kms (i'm better now)
I have a tiny desk, roughly about 2 feet long, which is not enough for all of my school stuff and other things for my hobbies, mainly writing and drawing. The desk is always a mess, there's papers everywhere, textbooks and notebooks are piled in a way that even a nudge would cause the whole desk to fall. My brother is a menace so sometimes he's barge in my room which is now my dad's room and take my stuff and break it apart while my dad would just lay there, watching him try to destroy them.
Last sunday (school days are from sunday to thursday here), my dad told me to clean my desk after I got home and keep all of the important stuff but I was way too tired and overstimulated to do it. Throughout the rest of the school week, I was in a bad burnout and didn't speak which is something I do when I'm overwhelmed.
I knew my dad cleaned my desk on tuesday, and when I checked, there was only an old bag and two mostly unused notebooks left. There were important notes and worksheets there which would greatly help me for my exams and give me extra support when studying, so I was upset that he threw them away but they weren't too important. I did get a mini-panic attack of sorts when I saw that all 32 of my notebooks and sketchbooks were gone but I thought that my dad wouldn't be as stupid to throw them away.
The week after that (this week) I was pushing myself at school and studying to my full capacity and barely had any free time and couldn't ask my dad about where he kept the notebooks because of the amount of school related things I had to do.
So today, I was really looking forward to just sit down and write the newest version of my book. As he was going for a business trip or something, I asked him where my notebooks were, and he sort of smiled and told me that they were gone. I didn't process it well so I repeated, asking where the books I wrote and drew in were. He said he threw them all away. All of them.
I immediately broke down. I started writing in 2019 to escape from burn out. I was inspired from one of my first ever true friend, and I made more friends who I named, drew, gave personalities to, gave hobbies and interests, gave backstories and goals and feelings, and an entire world full of plants, ecosystems, languages, infrastructure, cultures and an entire universe I spent 5 fucking years developing. I started seriously teaching myself how to drawing in 2022 because I wanted people to shut up about how I wasn't studying enough, but I still wanted to see my characters.
I don't know how long I had ugly-cried for but I haven't felt such pure sadness since when I was 12 and decided the day I'd die. My mom immediately realized something was wrong. She asked me which notebooks I was talking about and when she realized what I was talking about. My dad told her that he didn't know that they were important and that he'd given me months to take the important things aside even though he didn't. I don't understand why he would've thought they weren't important, because my mom had previously tried to stop him from throwing them away when they were moving to another place after they got married. The covers had stuff like "writerly antics", "sketch book #6", "misty and dez only" (not real named, just some cringe codenamed me and my best friend had for each other) and was clearly loved. My mom and I both thought that my dad would atleast realize that I'd keep a cringy ugly drawing of a catboy from 5 years ago for a reason but he just blindly threw them all away.
I feel... disgusting for a lack of better words. I wish i had cleaned my own desk. I wish I hadn't taken a break that day. I wish that he could've at least asked if i did set the important books aside. I know it wasnt intentional but I'd rather that my dad who makes fun of me for all of my interests read the entire first draft of my book or look into my anatomy studies of shirtless men rather than to throw them all out.
I only have a few digital drafts and one full book from 2022-2024 and a couple of pictures and one 36-paged sketchbook, so I didn't loose them all. Except I did. That was 5 years of work. I spent 5 fucking years on it. I decided to live for the sake of it. It was cringe, it was messy, it was rough and bad and the art was terrible. But my silly little world I made up when I was 10 is the only place I wasn't scared to express myself. It's the only part of my personality that I like. My best friend did say she has all of my drafts fromy digital drafts from 2020-2021 saved on her device but I'm not sure If i even want them anymore because I don't have the motivation to write or draw anymore. It just feel pointless that no matter how many nights i've stayed awake, no matter how many hours I've spent on youtube, google and various research websites to write my book and and teach myself how to draw, someone could just accidentally throw it all away to a dumpster so that the only proof of a single creative thought in my brain are just memories.
I feel like an asshole of a wannabe writeartist for waiting so long to see if those notebooks were still there. I should've just cleaned it up even though it's easier for my brain to handle the messy desk when I can just tell where everything is. I don't know how I'm gonna move on from this, it feels like a part of me died. I know the post is long but I'd at least like to know if AITA since it might be easier if I blame it on myself so that I can accept that I messed up.

2024.06.07 17:41 sambrowny778 Exchange Feedback?

Hey all -
I’m a fractional COO
Im working on a content piece, but struggling to make it perfect without feedback.
The lead magnet is a 20 minute presentation detailing how I built myself out of my small business with overseas talent. I got my hours down to one hour a week - a team meeting.
(This was when I founded a small brick and mortar which I’ve since sold).
The target are those who were like me - small biz owners working 60- 80 hour weeks and can’t find time to breathe.
Yes, this probably sounds like an internet marketing scam… but legitimately I did this and have proof.
I want to send this out to help others by showing what I did. My hope is eventually it will attract clients who need my services — but right now I just want to give value by helping others get free.
Would anyone be up for me to give you the presentation live, give you specific consulting on how to apply, and then give me feedback?
Greatful if so! And willing to answer any questions if curious but unsure how this would help you.
Thx!!

2024.06.07 17:37 InterestingMajor8800 What’s the hype all about?

Not so long ago i’ve acquired my first ever Thinkpad for school, a T14s AMD 2nd gen. One of the things i love most about it is it’s slim and light and feels well built. So far it’s been pretty solid and does what i need it to do and doesn’t have any problems with some light gaming. Coming from an old MSI GE70, the Thinkpad feels pretty dang fast too.
In the meantime time i’ve joined this subreddit with Thinkpad enthusiasts and i’ve noticed some ongoing trend/hype around old Thinkpads and Linux moreover old Thinkpads running Linux.
I’ve used Thinkpads before and long time ago. In elementary school we had school laptops which were Thinkpads. I can’t remember the exact model but i remember them being super heavy like a brick and thick. the lids had some kind of slide lock and there would always be keys missing.
I’ve never touched Linux but after seeing how it’s glorified in this sub i really want to try it.
However I can’t imagine getting so hyped or go out of my way to look for these brickpads, let alone buying them, heck i don’t think i would take them for free.
Now before i get any hate and bombarded with downvotes i would like to say that this is a genuine question and i would really like to understand why they are so popular.
I imagine it’s like the same way i’m with old cars? i love me some old JDM, USDM and euro cars whereas other people may look at them as old rust buckets and deathtraps, is this correct?

What are Provider & Best & Cheapest SmmPanels? Deep RoadMap from 15 Years Old Smm Panel Owner! ASK ME ANYTHİNG
https://preview.redd.it/u16sefqkv55d1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=02e1df91cc513ed66b9534bafc2fd5ffe2ef310c
Hello,
I am Dmytro Chumak from Ukraine. If I were to briefly describe myself, it would be most accurate to say that I have spent the last 10 years as both an SMM panel owner, user, and reseller. For 8 years, I managed my own SMM panel, and I might be the first person of Ukrainian origin to operate such a system. During those 8 years, I worked with the largest providers + I sold my own data services to today's largest panels when they had only 5,000-10,000 orders. In total, I made sales close to 10 million, earned substantial amounts of money, and, as an inevitable part of the SMM panel sector, got scammed by fraudulent panels. My friends include the owners of Justanotherpanel, Morethanpanel, Bulkfollows, and Smmraja, to whom I sold and from whom I bought services. I was the 5th SMM panel to start using the PerfectPanel system and have a long-standing friendship with Victor (the owner of PerfectPanel).
Now, why am I telling you all this? As you know, the SMM panel sector is a boundless abyss. Unlike when we started, there are now thousands of SMM panels, and unfortunately, 99% of them are scammers. In this tangled web of providers and resellers, I wanted to share all my experiences and the secrets of the SMM panel world (which nobody wants to share on the internet) with you, having spent 10 years in this sector and exited about 2 years ago.
My aim is to create a very clean roadmap for those who want to take their first step in this sector. I hope this article helps you (those with more questions can reach me via DM).
  • Is There a Single Main Provider Panel? If so Which Ones are They?
This is probably the most frequently asked question about the SMM panel world :) No, friends, there isn't a single main provider panel. Quite the opposite, there are providers just in their own field or social media niche. In short, you can never have all main provider services through a single panel. Another common misconception is that the main provider always offers the cheapest price and stable services. No, friends! Even if you find a main provider panel, there is a 70-80% chance that the services of these main providers are cheaper on today's largest SMM panels. So
LESSON 1- Do not focus on the find provider, focus on the advance support and hight completed rate panels :)
https://preview.redd.it/c1laavjew55d1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=0c0d84dbc5bdf3722240b895b663d9cd2a085085
  • How can We Understand If a Panel is a Main Provider or Not?
Very clearly! Main provider panels focus only on specific social media channels. The claim that a panel, claiming to be a main provider, provides different services for 4-5 platforms is completely false. Although I cannot vouch for any panel, the best example in the sector is Spotifypanel. They have a single focus: Spotify services, and after using the panel a bit, you can easily tell that 70-80% of the data is their own. The second method of understanding is through prices. You will never see a fractionated price on a main provider’s panel. You will not see a price like $10.123 on any main provider panel. This is a reseller price that includes their commission. Provider %99 use certain price value like $1 - $2.50
  • How Do Main Providers Offer These Services? What Kind of Bot System Do They Use?
Ten years ago, everything was so simple that I can even say without hesitation that I was the first person in the sector to have a Facebook follower service (even though I had no bot knowledge). With minimal automation and coding knowledge, you could create your own bot, and it would work stably. However, with the ever-growing digital world and social media platforms taking measures against bots, this job now requires deep coding knowledge.
Let me immediately say that if you think you can download a bot from GitHub or buy a social media bot sold on a forum and enter this sector as a provider, forget it. Social media platforms release updates almost every week. The key is not just to get or find a working bot, but to ensure that the bot you purchase is regularly updated every week. This means that at least one person on your team must have advanced coding knowledge.
If you ask what the most commonly used bot coding system is, the answer is "REQUEST". This is the system used by 95% of SMM panel providers worldwide (those with some coding knowledge will understand what I mean).
https://preview.redd.it/gkhdnselw55d1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=376474a1d9cf4c2d6bcffa6a889a9ad3edb41962
  • There are thousands of different SMM panel resellers and providers from India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Russia, and the USA. If We are Using an SMM Panel for the First Time, Should We Consider the Region of the Panel?
Both yes and no. First, you need to know that the backbone of this sector is formed by Indians and Bangladeshis. There are both very large providers and the biggest scammers among them. Generally, you can find cheap services in these countries, but the cheaper the prices, the lower the order completion rate and customer support (e.g., peakerr - Elitesmm).
Turkish panels rank 3th. They are middle-ground panels. They are neither as cheap as Indian panels nor as bad in support (e.g., Smmturk - Bestsmmprovider).
Russian and Ukrainian panels are more focused on the provider side. Their support is very poor, but their bots are as good as those of the Indians.
European and American panels: Although they entered the sector 3-4 years later than other regions, I can comfortably say that these countries’ panels are currently the best in terms of support and service quality (e.g., Morethanpanel - Fivebbc - Clousty).
  • I Want to Open an SMM Panel. Do You Think It is Still Worth Investing in This Business, or More Explicitly, Can I Make Money?
Both yes and no. If your business plan is to open a reseller panel and sell by adding a 25-30% profit margin to your provider prices, I would say don't start this business at all. It is almost impossible to gain volume or make a profit by doing reseller sales in a market dominated by giants like Justanotherpanel, Morethanpanel, and Bulkfollows. Unfortunately, those who opened smm panels this way between 2015-2019 all made a fortune, but in 2024 circumstances, this is nearly impossible.
So how can we make money as smm panel owner?
You need to specialize in a niche area. Your goal should not be to sell all services but to sell just one service. If it’s YouTube, you should be solely a YouTube panel. You need to find the biggest providers in the YouTube space and establish your SMM panel with excellent customer support.
You need to have your own bot :) This is the shortest and most direct way, friends. With a very basic TikTok follower bot, there is nothing stopping you from reaching daily sales of $3-5k within a month.
  • What are the Oldest SMM Panels and Which is the Largest in Terms of Sales volume?
Unfortunately, the first or oldest SMM panels are no longer active websites. The first SMM panels were likely established around 2013 when Instagram became popular, but they were not exactly like today's SMM panels. The foundations of today's SMM panels were laid around 2016, but we can safely say that sites like igfollowers.com, igrbooster.net, and youtubelikes.com were the ancestors of the first SMM panels.
Among the SMM panels still active today, morethanpanel.com ( former bestpanel ), Peakkerr, and smmfollows are easily the oldest.
In 2024, we can easily point to Justanotherpanel as the largest SMM panel in terms of sales volume.

  • For Those Wondering, "Hey, weren't you going to tell us the best SMM panel providers or the best SMM panels you've used?" This Section is For You :)
Yes, friends, I have tried to share my 10 years of experience in this article, but I know that ultimately everyone is curious about one thing: What are, in my opinion, the best SMM panels and SMM panel providers?
Unfortunately, most of the providers from 5-6 years ago are no longer selling today (I'm sure most have found much easier ways to make money like I did). To avoid misleading anyone or promoting any particular panel, I would like to share some panels that I know are providers for each social media platform at the beginner level (let me reiterate that no provider always delivers 100%, so keep this in mind when placing your orders).
IG PROVIDER: igvoe.com - postlikes.com - morethanpanel
Youtube Provider: tube-boost.com
TikTok Provider: morethanpanel.com
Spotify - Music Services: Spotifypanel.com
Reddit Provider: boostupsmm.com
Facebook Provider: fastsmm.io
Twitch Provider: morethanpanel.com - globalsmm.com
( psi: we almost know all provider on market but I don’t wanna brand this thread as some promotion address - above ones are the most stabil provider for long years that ı can easily reference )
Let me reiterate that these are the panels we have used for long years and I’m sure that they are providers, but never forget that working directly with providers is not always the best solution. It might even be more expensive than a reseller, or the reseller panel's support might make you happier than the provider's support. Because they have higher volumes, they have more leverage over the providers.
  • Finally, let’s address the last topic: What are the Best SMM Panels We Have Used So Far, or More Precisely, Which SMM Panels Would I Use if I Started from Scratch Today as resellers? (a mix of providers and resellers).
Actually, this should have been the first question smm panel user or owners need to ask. Unfortunately, everyone looks for providers and ends up getting scammed by the cheapest services. Our main goal should be to find panels that are as cheap as possible and have good support. Based on our 10 years of experience, the panels that have almost never given us any problems whenever we had idle services or used their services are:
    • Morethanpanel.com : Formerly Bestpanel Morethanpanel.com. A site that sells both its own bots (TikTok - Twitch - Spotify, as far as I know) and services with very low reseller margins. Nearly 25% of our services were connected to this panel until 4-5 months before we put our panel up for sale, and I can say their support speed is by far the best on the internet.
  • Smmraja.com: One of the oldest but one of the best. Prices are a bit higher than Morethanpanel, but the variety of services is almost five times more.
  • Fivebbc.com: If you want to sell guaranteed services despite the high cost and your customers are exclusive, this should be your go-to panel. Their service prices are quite high, but that’s exactly the niche they occupy—expensive but guaranteed services.
I’m sure there are cheaper panels from those ones but as I underline in this threads 3x times. Your main priority need to be find most stabil and good support smm panel.

  • For those Who Already Have an SMM Panel but Want to Know the Best Marketing Methods for SMM Panel :
Up to this point, I've talked to you as much as possible about how to find the right panels and providers, friends. But unfortunately, even if you are 100% successful in this matter, it doesn't matter at all unless you can drive traffic to your panel. So, the answer to how we will drive traffic to our panel lies in SMM panel marketing. Here are the most effective SMM panel marketing methods we have observed so far, friends:
  1. Of course, Blackhatworld: I can say openly that this is the first place a person entering the SMM panel world would visit. It's an incredible source of traffic. If you are opening an SMM panel for the first time, you definitely need to have a thread in the SMM panel section.
  2. SEO: Yes, it's the hardest but the most effective method that will bring you millions if you succeed. Because thousands of people still have their first SMM panel experience with Google searches like "smm panel" or "cheap smm panel."
  3. Google Ads: As you know, Google is quite problematic when it comes to advertising SMM panels. If you try to do this on your own, there is a 99% chance that your Google ads account will be banned. The best method is to work with an advertising manager who specializes in advertising in such sectors.
  4. SMM Listing Websites: If it's free, add your panel to all SMM panel listing sites on the internet without wasting any time.
  5. Quora - Reddit: I don't think Quora is as strong as it used to be, but Reddit is still a very powerful source for SMM panel marketing. Just be careful not to advertise your panel openly, or you'll get banned immediately.
  6. Discord Group: Especially effective for India and Pakistan. Either announce your panel in relevant Discord channels or advertise directly on your own server.
  7. Skype - Telegram Spam: Yes, most of you might be hearing this for the first time, but the SMM world, especially providers and big resellers, operates entirely through Skype and Telegram. There are hundreds of groups on Skype where SMM panel owners gather. Join these groups and promote your services.
So that’s all from me mates. Hope you find these threads useful and help you during your smm panel journey.
Please do not hesitate to ask your questions under this thread.
I know people keep on ask for provider panels :) except above one its not fair to write them publicly. But if you ask me via dm, if ı have nay know-how I can gladly reply your message.

2024.06.07 16:40 Sea-Selection-7012 Polish Foreign Policy

Poland should form a visa-free union with the UK [tech exporter and food importer], Norway [oil exporter, food importer], and Ukraine [tech importer, massive food exporter but no baltic port] and legislate its nuclear program to S.K. or Japan to build fast and safe nuclear power plants to make UK/US/SK/Jap heavy industry tech in PL and rebuild UA [40m new customers]
Let other EU states join an equal union vs a pay to play union... the EU votes as a share of funds paid in--it's pay to play and not democratic.
Seize all German and Russian assets as a mere fraction of reparations owed for the massive genocide of WWII [excluding the previous partitions]
With cheap, clean electricity from nuclear power plants, form domestic heavy industry for construction equipment, cars, trains, planes, aerospace, microprocessors, and medical devices.
Stop allowing German publishers and banks dictate Polish fiscal and education policy.
If Poland developed outside of German influence, remember, Germany can't eat VW's and will compete to pay for Polish and Ukrainian food at a much higher rate. The Netherlands imports eastern European grain to feed cows to make cheese and beef to sell to Germany.

2024.06.07 15:58 LucyFureeeal THE LEGAL SYSTEM fails when it comes to bringing justice to people who have had their inheritances and trusts stolen by relatives or trusteees

This is my first time writing about what I'm going thru as well as countless others THE advice from the legal community and everyone else has always been get a lawyer and take in my case my mother to court IT doesn't sound great in theory but even n practice it's a joke .TRUST LAW is one of the most complicated area of law and no one will do it pro bono ..free legal services aren't really equipped to handle what their is no easy simple remedy ... And the lawyers that could handle it ..( and I haven't found one who would do it on a contingency ) want a huge retainer WHICH ..when you' need a lawyer to help you get money That's not being distributed to you . THE REASON YOU NEED HIM IS YOUR MONEY IS BEING WITHHELD .. SO that's why most people never recover their inheritance and relatives and crooked trustees are very aware of the fact that the victim is not in a position to get help .. THEIR NEEDS TO BE A SIMPLE PROCESS AND SOME KND OF GOVERNMENT GROUP ..That deals efficiently and quickly with this type of abuse in my case my mother who will not quit trying to CONTROL every aspect of my life to my detriment Luckily the first time The money was being distributed by SS and they have the ability to do what is best for the person who's money it is in my caseSSDI which I applied for shortly after my divorce .MY mother was the one who insisted I apply and held a car over my head until I agreed ..However then she told me I not allowed to be my own representative payeee .Let me stop really quick And interject ..I have no guardianship , no conservatership , SHE has no power of attorney over me ..And my disability does not affect my capacity to be independent and take care of myself in any way ..And SSDI is not welfare but is early retirement based off your yrs of employment ..Long story short my money was so misappropriated and THE man so abusive with their agency that I was SO stressed out it was making my situation worse. And finally the right person became aware of it and I found out my mother had lied ..it was up to SS and they had Complete authority to make me my own payeee if They found I was capable ..I literally made an appt and after sitting with them for two half hour visits .in less than a month they Wrote the "non profit " and ordered them to give back any funds of mine in their possession and To pay me compensation for things they had clearly cost me and said It was in my best interest I manage my own money .. ....FAST FORWARD to right after I got my money back and I found this out in retrospect .se went and drew up a specia needs trust fund with her as the grantor with the help of the non profit agency and man SS had just removed .it was an unfounded trust she set up 7 years before my father died and I'm not sure It's legal but she alledegedly coerced hi months before he died into taking my half of the inheritance 350,000 .. My brother got his .,And mine was put into a special needs trust fund which was totally unfounded .. with herself as the grantor and trusteee and Trust protectors gave her A GREAT DEAL OF LEEWAY WITH MY MONEY but Their was no getting away from the things it laid out and how the money could benefit me .am a very frugal person and As a result she barely had to give me much more than an extra 500 a year up until 2020 at which time she insisted I move to a place twice as expensive and I would need a car as mine had just finally seen better days .. Everything that has snowballed since 2020 is because of her refusal to allow me to buy a car as promised .12000 was the agreed amount ..As a result of having no car which I'm absolutely allowed .. It was the middle of Covid ..I was unable to find a place I could afford in the city after my expensive lease and I was Forced to put my stuff in storage and after the third time sitting on the curb homeless my ex rescued me and let me live with him for nine months during which he charged me no rent t he was helping me get even more money to oerhaps even get a new car ..Used cars were at an all time high . FAST forward till 2022 and HE finally got fed up when she didn't keep her promise and Kicked me out .IT was still the pandemic...Rentvwas outrageous I finally rented a flex car Just to get around which I slept in quite between extended stays and airbnbs I could have bought 3 12000 cars in what not having a car cost me and had money left over and could have moved to outside the city where my rent was a fraction. I am 64 and should be reducing my monthly outlay by paying those things off so I have no car payment , no huge monthly rent payment get my dental and eye surgery behind me.INSTEAD MY MOTHER PUT THE SAME MAN SS removed in charge of my inheritance half 2022 and I'm now being told he will only pay me f or Uber receipts Which were totaling over a thousand a month and I can't even afford to go anywhere unless it's strictly a necessity .I Was fortunate to have had these lovely airbnb people take their place off airbnb lat year and rent it to me for a fraction of what hotels were costing me but then the Ubers just ate the difference up and more .. and my lease is up . I don't even have a way to get to where someone offered me a deal and unless I can drive in the city So in two months I will be worse off than I was 4 years ago As well as worse for wearnot to mention 50, 000 wasted on what not being allowed buy a car for 12000 4 years ago has cost me in added expenses lost opportunity'searn extra money AND THERES NO ONE THAT CAN FORCE MY MOTHER TO DO WHATS RIGHT BUT A COURT OF LAW WHICH HAS NO LAWYERS WILLNG TO HELP ME ...THIS HAPPENS TO PEOPLE EVERY DAY and some of them ar not capable of making known .But many like me have tried unsuccessfully for years to get someone to help us so making it known isn't really helping either Eileen

2024.06.07 15:57 Kotaro_277 Which monitor to buy?

Hello guys I'm on my quest for a new monitor and I thought about the Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED (32:9) or the G8 OLED (21:9). I can't decide which one to buy and thought you guys might help me.
I'd like to have a virtual dual monitor set up as in I have two separate screens to look at without needing to have two physical monitors.
I prefer the G9 for that reason but I don't really know how this works. Do I need to install software, do I need to plug in two display cables? Will I get the 240 hz refresh rate on both virtual displays or does it only give me a fraction of that?
I’d be more than happy to get some experiences from you. Also feel free to recommend some other Monitors. Only thing I’d like to have is 1440p at minimum 120 hz and OLED.

2024.06.07 15:04 ResearcherDeep8155 Where do you get your individual earnings estimates?

I'm aware of many free sources of consensus estimates (like this one), but this morning I read a 2019 paper that argued that consensus surprises are less robust predictors of earnings surprises than the fraction of estimates on the same side of the announcement. The authors of the study received their data from the Institutional Brokers Investment System, but that's behind a paywall and is historical data only, so it wouldn't be useful for applying this measure to the summer earnings announcements. Anyone have a source they like?

2024.06.07 13:21 AwareMushroom_0-0_ Co-sign on parents remortgage?

Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but wondering in anyone can clarify a few details for me. My parents have about 40k left on their mortgage, and probably 600k or more in equity since their original purchase in 2006. The house is in a major city and the property has enough land to either build a coach home, or a decent addition to the current home to act as a secondary dwelling.
The idea would be to remortgage the property for something like 250k in order to build the secondary living space and roll the remaining balance into the new mortgage. I would then take over the payments for the new mortgage to free my parents of monthly mortgage payments and also have a place to live for a fraction of the cost of buying something on my own. Im making about 75k a year and my dad is retired with a pension.
My question is, while I know the property and second mortgage would need to continue being in their name (since they’ll still own the property rit large), would I be able to co-sign on the refinanced mortgage with them? Would co-signing be of benefit or detriment to either party? My initial thought is co-signing would help ensure to my parents I’m good for payments (they know I am) but also possibly add some equity to my name, thus allowing banks to feel more confident in giving me better lending rates on LOC in the future, and also maybe allow me to add a life insurance policy on my end to protect my parents should something happen to me while the new mortgage remains.
Appreciate any insight on this you might have!

2024.06.07 13:12 Indentical Deep dive in to Smm Panel Industry's secret from 10 years old Smm Panel Owner. Best & cheapest smm panel? Oldest Smm Panels? First Smm Panel - Biggest Smm Panel - ASK ME ANYTHING

Hello,
I am Dmytro Chumak from Ukraine.
The second method of understanding is through prices. You will never see a fractionated price on a main provider’s panel. You will not see a price like $10.123 on any main provider panel. This is a reseller price that includes their commission. Provider %99 use certain price value like $1 - $2.50
Ten years ago, everything was so simple that I can even say without hesitation that I was the first person in the sector to have a Facebook follower service (even though I had no bot knowledge).
Both yes and no. If your business plan is to open a reseller panel and sell by adding a 25-30% profit margin to your provider prices, I would say don't start this business at all. 2024.06.07 12:25 ForwardStory Raft at Sea - 1

Thanks to u/SpacePaladin15 for the universe and allowing fanfics to flourish!
For context, as with most of my written work recently, this story is made as a character backstory for a TTRPG campaign, while also being intended as an enjoyable standalone story. I've decided to release this one episodically in contrast to the other two times I've done this, as I've had the beginning of this written for a while and it's been a hot minute since I've given myself the pleasure of releasing something a part at a time. (Whoops.)
If you want to see more of this type of thing, my two other character backstories I've written - "I am Irony" and "What You Are To Me" are both intertwined stories for my characters in a previous campaign, following the gritty tale of two broken people learning the hard way how to mend themselves through each other.
Also, for your reading pleasure, the character of this story is a Dossur pilot with a British accent. Why does he have a British accent? Because I thought it would be fun to voice while playing. That's it. Enjoy.

Deep breaths. That’s real air, right there. Take it all in.
Exiting my little pop-up of a home for the past few months, I gasped as deep a breath of fresh air as I could manage. Overdid it a bit, entering a little coughing fit. I hope it’s not an omen. My “neighbour” Lea, one of the technicians, hears my fit and approaches.
“Alright there, Bullet?”
I squeeze a last little wheeze out to reply. “Yes, ma’am. Right as rain.”
“Right. Keep those lungs in check, Bullet. It’s launch day.”
“Don’t I know it. I’ll wash it down with some tea soon enough.”
“Make it count. That washing’s going to have to last a while.”
“Hm.”
With a nod, I continued my morning as usual, spare some splurging at mess. It’s my last chance to be the cheeky bugger who wipes all the little groberry pie squares, after all. I mixed my tea a tad sweeter than I usually aim for, as a treat. Perhaps it’s a little pre-emptive to be celebrating, but it’ll be a long wait to celebrate otherwise. I polish my plate and discard it, before making my way towards the launch site.
I get some glances on the way there. I’m hardly taking a hero’s stride, but I suppose the project does hinge on me keeping my wits about me. Really, I’m just the meat to throw into this longshot. It’s weird to see admiration from all the eggheads who put this together. I make it to the launch site, right on time, and General Lantry is waiting for me..
“Here’s your real test, Bullet. Hot site, no help. It’s you and the stars up there. Given your track record, I trust that won’t be a problem?”
“Count on it, sir.”
“Good.”
I’ve been through the wringer on this enough times for it to be clockwork. I enter the locker room just beside the launch site, don my full equipment, and do a last check through all my gear and personals. I’ve been advised plenty of times not to skip out on anything I think I’ll want for even a moment up there, within reason. Even still, my options are limited by what endures usage through a liquid. I suppose most mementos will simply be for my use on arrival. I leave the locker room, then go right back in to check my gear again. It’s an odd quirk they taught me - if my mind registers the task fully done, it will be ready to start over again properly. I run through the full checklist on my gear a second time, and take pride in having missed nothing on the first go-around.
I walk out onto the launch pad, helmet under arm, bag in hand. It feels rather surreal for as often as I’ve made this brief walk. Just about everyone who isn’t in the control room made their way out for this moment. It’s hardly a crowd, due to the clandestine nature of this project, but it’s the biggest showing I’ve seen since I got here. A few shout brief phrases of encouragement.
“Give ‘em hell, Bullet!”
“See you on the other side!”
“Safe travels!”
I sign a salute as I approach my vessel, seeing it get one last good look-through by the technicians. “The Cartridge,” they call it. A cartridge for launching a bullet. It’s clever. It’s hard to call her a beaut, with as unassuming and mundane the stealth vessel is by-design, but I suppose I’ll have plenty of time to find things to admire about her in the stars. The technicians give the control room the greenlight, then there’s nothing left holding me back from getting on with it.
Lantry addresses me a final time from the edge of the pad. “That’s the all-clear, Bullet. Best of luck to you.”
“Thank you, sir.”
I don my helmet and enter the cockpit, feeling the familiar sensation of becoming half-submerged in the liquid ventilation. The Cartridge seals itself and I brace for the next segment. I’ve done it hundreds of times now, but you never quite get used to the feeling of liquid filling your lungs. Once it’s over, it’s not too hard to acclimate to, though. The last of the “air” leaves the vessel as the interface whirrs to life, and I hear the control room over my headset.
“All checks passed and prime. The pad is clear; you’re free to launch.”
With the pressure in my lungs, my words are barely understandable on their own, but an onboard algorithm translates my warbles to speech. It’s like an odd second language to me. “Roger.”
I pause for a moment. It’s hard to believe this is it, my last moment in contact with others for the foreseeable future. I would hate myself up there if I squandered it. I open the comms link one more time.
“Can I get a countdown?”
I hear the man on comms give a friendly chuckle. “Alright then, Bullet. Ten…”
I close the screen for outgoing comms and my hands find the controls.
“Nine… eight… seven…”
The countdown forces my nerves to take a backseat. I readjust in my chair, trying to relax myself.
“Six… five… four…”
My fingers hover over the inputs to launch. My hand tenses for a moment, but the resistance of the liquid surrounding me removes the risk of me messing up my timing.
“Three… two…”
I feel my heart beating out of my chest.
“One-”
I take a deep, mechanically assisted breath.
“-And, liftoff!”
Before I'd even registered I’d done it, I’d taken off, and was now barreling through the atmosphere of Mileau for the few seconds it’d last. I pull up my surroundings on the viewport and take it all in. I’ve been in orbit countless times and have done plenty of FTL drills, but the impact of this being the last one was catching up to me. I watched as the simulated view of Mileau behind me remained beautiful for a mere moment before becoming an imperceptible speck amidst a black expanse. Refocusing on the task at hand, I initiated my FTL flight to the edge of Venlil space.
I initiate my first mission log.

-----

[Attached below is a curated record of Operative Anlon’s mission logs of Project: Bullet. This list is incomplete, with Operative Anlon having made several logs daily.]

-----

“This is Operative Anlon as of the first day of Project: Bullet. I’ve just departed from Mileau and am now barreling through subspace to reach the jump-off point at the edge of Venlil space, before beginning conventional travel. Although stretching my time in subspace even a few seconds could save me possible days, my route has been allotted to be scraping the absolute edge of Arxur detection capabilities. Such precision requires that input of the journey to be automated, so my responsibilities for the time being are to sit tight and stay alive, I suppose. I’ve been instructed to use my mission logs like a pseudo-conversation partner, to keep a track on my mental state throughout the journey. I have much time to burn stimuli ahead, so I suppose I’ll save it for once I’ve exited subspace.”

-----

“I’ve just exited subspace, and am proceeding towards Wriss. Truth be told, it was disorienting. Usually FTL systems are designed to provide a comfortable system for dropping to a cruising speed, but with my current travel speed still being such a high fraction of light’s, the experience was ironically that of acceleration, even though I am travelling far slower than FTL. Looking around, this is now the third time I’ve ever seen such an overwhelming blue-shift to my environment. It’s rather beautiful, really. I’ve taken the liberty of doffing my helmet just before this entry. I won’t be changing course for the foreseeable future, and I’ve been instructed to make myself as comfortable as possible for longevity.”

-----

“Just got my first sleep of the journey in. I’ve done an extended stay in the Cartridge before as a part of my training, but it was still a bit jarring. A lack of gravity is one thing, but the encasement in liquid is a whole other beast. I’m feeling well-rested enough, though. It’s time for ‘breakfast’ I suppose. With my mouth occupied by liquid ventilation and witty commentary, I’m fed through a direct hookup to my veins. I suppose I can say, with scientifically peer-reviewed certainty, that I am having a balanced breakfast. [chuckle] This trip will be a hell of a diet. I’m already missing the pie squares.”

-----

“Well, I think I’ve had my share of the onboard entertainment for today, so I suppose I’ll stick to the eggheads’ advice and get to rambling. As it stands, I’m on my third day of travel, from what the clock’s telling me, at least. The clock is a bit fast to account for time dilation. Rather, it’s accurate, but to the outside world. The wording escapes me, but the gist is that to me, it looks fast. I’ve been getting some work done on the elastics to try to keep pace with it. I’m hoping if I wear myself out enough, I’ll sleep earlier and stay on schedule. Anywho, I use elastics because artificial gravity was deemed too encumbering of a system to implement into the pod, especially because this whole thing is rigged to completely cut power to all systems if I need to avoid detection. So, all my exercise is done with the elastics. There’s several loops around the walls of the small lounge they’ve allotted me to stretch when I’m not in the captain’s seat. Well, I’m not sure if it’d be a ‘lounge’ or a ‘living room.’ It’s the only other space on the vessel besides the captain’s seat, but it’s cosy enough, I suppose. My precious home away from home. Where was I? Right, the loops. There’s loops around the walls of the cube to allow me to hook the elastic bands any which way I please. Today I hooked them to the floor and did squats.”

-----

“Five and a half days in now. My sleep has continued to walk forward, despite my efforts, but I suppose the arbitrary day-night of an accelerated Mileau hardly matters to me up here. Supposedly it’ll affect how often my body thinks it needs to eat, but I’ve been assured there’s enough of that nourishment juice onboard that I’d have to be consuming it constantly throughout my journey to use it all up before arrival, and at that rate, I’d probably die from what all that would be doing to my body. A grim comfort, I suppose.”

-----

“Seven days. I feel a tad tired most of the time, and hungry. This juice will keep me alive for as long as I’ll let it, but it doesn’t fill my stomach. I guess I’m glad I splurged on food on my last day, while I could. In other news, I figured out how to jerry-rig myself a setup for sit-ups. Keeping my exercise diverse should help with both boredom and atrophy. After this log, I think I’ll try to set up some idiot’s definition of a treadmill. I’ll have an elastic keeping me a certain distance from a wall, and another holding me to a surface to simulate gravity. I’m hoping the friction of the ventilation in here doesn’t impede too much.”

-----

“You know, I’ve listened back on my old logs a lot. It’s nice to just… hear a voice I recognize, I suppose. The shows I’ve kept myself occupied are fine entertainment-wise, but there isn’t much in the way of Dossur representation. The time! Right, it’s been twelve days now, but I’ve slept eight times. Well, except for that one nap. I’m not sure. In any case, this morning is a morning for me. It’s nice. What was I… yes, I’ve been listening to my old logs, just to hear the voice of a Dossur. It’s a bit odd hearing so much of my own voice, but it’s also not my own voice. That algorithm is what makes it intelligible. As I listen to myself right now, it’s a warbled, muffled mess. I swear, I’ll touch down and start talking like how I sound now. [Unintelligible] I wonder what the algorithm will do with that. That was just me making noises.”

-----

“I thought I could make a game of seeing what the algorithm would interpret random noises as, but it just gives up. It’s really a missed opportunity, if you ask me. They make these things too smart.”

-----

“I think I miss the colour red. The blue-shift was beautiful at first, watching the distortion of all these colours I knew so well around the cockpit, but it’s gotten old. It makes the onboard entertainment noticeably worse, too. You never really realise how many jokes and plotlines centre around colours until they’ve all been modified. The vast expanse of space outside doesn’t look any different from when I first set off. Frankly, I would believe that I’m perfectly stationary right now if it weren’t for the blue shift. I guess that’s a reason to appreciate it. Nineteen days.”

-----

“I’ve officially gotten bored enough to talk about the bathroom situation. I considered it early on, but it felt embarrassing at the time. I haven’t had to do it too often, because that nourishment juice runs rather efficiently, but nature calls. Hang on, let me get a timestamp of this milestone… Right, the clock tells me this is twenty-seven days in. I made it longer than I thought I would without going here, I suppose. Anywho, it’s a tube. It’s a big tube with a sort of cup on the end of it. It’s awkward giving it a proper seal, but there’s no gravity, and I’d rather not taint what I’m breathing in. The ventilation cycles and refreshes itself, obviously, but it’s still not a pleasant thought. I guess that’s another note to touch on - bathing. It’s essentially the same as turning the ventilation up to maximum. I just cycle the ventilation in the cockpit with enough force that it washes me off and gets filtered out in the purifier system… thing. I’m not a technician, alright? I can’t really smell through the liquid all that well but this is how they told me to do it, so I’m hoping it’ll pay off when I’m on the other side.”

-----

“I spend most of my time exercising, watching random telly shows, listening back to my logs, and making more logs. That, and sleeping. Well, with the inclusion of sleeping, that’s actually what I spend all my time doing. Honestly, I’ve re-listened to my first log so many times that it feels like a different person. You know, I wonder if it would have been worth the risk to just stretch the FTL just a little longer. I think I would have been able to skip all the time that’s passed so far in just a few seconds if I kept going just a little further. I really hope the eggheads got that calibration right. Thirty days. Big three-nil. I’d celebrate with a cake if they came in liquid form. My whole damn life’s a series of different liquids.”

-----

“With how much time I’ve spent exercising, I hoped that I would start to build some muscle. Unfortunately, with the weightlessness, I’m pretty much just breaking even to avoid atrophy. Shoot, I’m just imagining what a beast I’d be if I spent all this perfectly good boredom in an environment with gravity. I’d be the beefiest Dossur alive. Hah, what a concept. Thirty-five days.”

-----

“Hey, future me? This is the one to skip over. Right, well, I’ve remained chipper in my logs thus far because I know I’ll be the first person to listen back on them, and I really need that, but I think I just… need to feel like what I’m thinking is being heard… by something, at least. I’m not having a good time. I’m… really not having a good time. Every day is the same. I’ve kept my logs varied for self-entertainment’s sake, but everything I pretend is a passing errant thought is always something I’ve been thinking about since nearly the first day. I’ve just been rationing my last thoughts as a person who remembers a time before this pod to keep cycling them back to myself. Maybe half of them aren’t true. It really does feel more like I’m putting on a show for myself than actually recording anything when I make these logs at this point. I don’t know. Forty-six days, or so the clock says. I’m not sure I believe it.”

-----

“I saw a bubble today. I didn’t think there were any left. I haven’t thought about bubbles in so long until I just saw one. There were a good few bubbles in the early days of the trip, when there were still pockets of gas that were dissipating with the ventilation, but I thought they were all gone. It was nice. There are so many orbs off in the unchanging distant space around me, but this one is mine. I tried to move it towards the corner of my lounge in the hopes it will stay there, but I’m dreading the fact it will probably be filtered by tomorrow. I thought maybe I should give it a name, until I said that out loud. I need to keep my wits about me. Forty-nine days.”

-----

“I didn’t hear my name on my last day on Mileau. I keep thinking back to that day, because it really doesn’t feel that far away. With how monotonous it is up here, it felt like launch day could have been yesterday. I didn’t hear my name. Everyone just called me ‘Bullet.’ It makes sense, because they’d been doing it for months, and the project was clandestine, but I miss it. I guess I’ll have the bot here read my name back to me, in a voice I can’t even hear from my own mouth. Anlon. Anlon. Anlon? Anlon. Anlon! Anlon. Anlon. Anlon. Anlon. Anlon. That’s me, I’m Anlon. Operative Anlon, at your service! I’m Anlon, ‘the Bullet,’ of Project: Bullet. More like Project: Anlon! Anlon, I tell ya! I sound bloody insane. Time? Oh, right, it’s the fiftieth day. Whatever that means with this blasted clock. [sigh] Sorry, future Anlon. I didn’t put the disclaimer at the beginning of this one.”

-----

“I want to turn back. I can’t say with a straight face that I have just ‘thought about it.’ I know this pod is still FTL capable. I know a lot of people put way too much into this project, though. I keep reciting to myself that I just need to keep my wits about me. After all, in such a tiny pod, where would my wits have to go anyhow? Hah, just another little quip to ensure the quip cortex of my brain is intact. Another great joke is the concept of time. Just read the internal properties of the damn log if you need to know that.”

-----

“I’ve thought about… No, fuck it, I’m not logging that. Bloody fucking hell I’m probably already going to die of embarrasment from half the shit I’ve logged at this point. Is it worth saying? I suppose this internal monologue I’ve gone through about a thousand times is worth saying. This is the vitriolic extent to which I consider what act I’ll put on for the day to record in a log.
[This log remains silent for a period of several minutes.]
Wankin'. That’s what I was gonna spare some bloody commentary for. Haven’t done it because of the limitations of my space, but I’m right fucking bored, okay? Sue me.”

-----

“I keep having to remind myself of my purpose on this vessel. There’s a reason they needed to subject a pilot to this unbearable wait time. I’m the backup generator, in a sense. When I talk about the ship being able to shut down power completely, I mean completely. There’s no idling system to be ready to start everything back up once a threat is gone. Even the smallest current can be detected. I’m here to reconnect the two in case I need to employ that countermeasure. The point of the ship is to be as close to impossible to detect as possible. I’ve… I’ve thought about what if I was detected. I’d probably die by day’s end, but… No, that’s a bad idea. I know that’s a bad idea. I just… want to see another living being. I guess I could turn back? I just can’t escape the feeling it would make all of this a waste of time. I don’t want this to be a waste of time. Oh yeah, and I’m also here for the main objective of the mission, I guess. Espionage and whatnot. I get the indication my job on the surface could’ve been done by a bunch of drones, but seeing as they were already putting all the systems in place to use a pilot for stealth, they probably just wanted me to feel useful.”

-----

“I think I’ve run through every permutation of strapping the elastics to all the hoops on the walls. In all honesty, I spent a good while just trying to break one of the elastics. It would probably be a waste, but it was something new to do. I wasn’t successful, if you couldn’t tell by my wording. Hah, ‘you.’ What a joke of a word that is. Let me phrase it how it is - I wasn’t successful, if I’m not able to tell when I listen to this in the future.”

-----

“The shows are so bloody boring. I’m going to keep watching them, of course, because there isn’t much else to do, but I realised that trying to think about any of it deeply is a fool’s errand. It’s something that sprang up when… I admit this will sound a bit crazy, but I sort of tried to engage with conversations with the characters as I watched. I considered how I’d actually respond to what they’re saying in the context of the episode, and it never matched what the actual conversing character would say. These ‘people’ are two-dimensional plot drivers. You know, some of my earlier logs I spent just rambling about my coworkers. My thoughts on them. How Lantry was intimidating, Nirlo stirred a fine brew and even finer conversation, Tyul was a bit of a troublemaker, and Lea made for a good neighbour to my tent of a home. It doesn’t mean anything. I wouldn’t care which one of them I saw, if I just got to see one of them again. To me, they’re all just people, real people, and that is invaluable. I miss them. I miss everything.”

-----

“I broke my old record for sleep today. Made it a full day unconscious this time. In the past that might have worried me, for how long I’m leaving myself vulnerable, but nothing has come near me for the whole time I’ve been up here. The best part is that I’m still tired, enough to go back to sleep. Maybe I’ll make it a whole day again.”

-----

“I’m killing the nonce who proposed this project when I get back to Mileau.”

“the more I know, the more I realise I know nothing” - Plato
Hello, nice to meet you. Juri is my name. I am 23 years old and I live since 2 years in Asia. I am writing 3 books (economics, personality development, relationships). I’m working on my own app, but right now I’m focusing on my own fashion business (I had in February a bad motorcycle accident and almost killed myself. I destroyed my clothes. Most clothes don’t fit me because I’m tall, the quality sucks, so I decided to accept this side quest) (producing everything by myself. I’m not that satisfied by the work of workshops I work with, so that’s why I decided to sell my time here. I’ll invest all the money I make into my own factory/workshop)
I don’t know where to start, so I will list down bunch of things to save your time:
As you see, it’s all about getting work done, making money, and we all are happy. I like project/business management. I’m good with planning, executing, responsibility, security, holding keys/passwords that you don’t trust freelancers (your credit card is connected with GCP/AWS, imagine someone suddenly makes you a $99999 bill), same with crypto projects.
I wrote many times “I know this I know that”, but as I stated at the start “the more I know the more I realize I know nothing”. So I’m humble ofc and know I’m just a fool, blinded by my own perception, and there are always other perspectives and more deeper realisations out there.
