I'm hoping for this to become a weekly, long-term game that can see some serious development over time. Expect things to be a bit different from the traditional Tolkienesque adventurer fantasy (though there'll be plenty of action and excitement!); the world of Galrea is my personal 5e setting, designed with an eye towards my strengths as writer and DM! Some big inspirations are Fullmetal Alchemist for themes and handling dark topics, Star Wars for worldbuilding, Fallout New Vegas for intrigue and factions, The Order 1886 for many stylistic and plot elements, and FFVII for getting fantasy elements to work with firearms and an industrial setting. And as for the campaign pitch proper:
For 50 years the elves waged a campaign of subjugation against the human nations of Galrea. The war devastated much of the known world, and saw the rise of many new innovations; well-developed firearms have become the standard ranged weaponry while the armored, hulking, tank-esque constructs known as juggernauts now stalk the battlefields of Galrea. At great cost, through blood and steel, the Osinyan Empire finally broke the elvish invaders - and in turn united two-thirds of the mortal realm under one banner for the first time in history. The Empire is ascendant; a new era of history has begun.
But now, 17 years after the Union, the cracks in this order have become increasingly apparent. The once backwater collection of city-states to the East have reorganized themselves into the Ancian Federation, a rival power capable of effective opposition to the Empire. In the new territories, Osinyan rule has proven unpopular with many, who sometimes even resort to violent insurgencies. All the while the Empire struggles with itself; falling victim to the corruption and internal rivalries that have plagued Osinyan society for nearly as long as history can remember. For all its size, power, and industrial might - the Empire is stretched to the limit.
Within this oversized polity is an organization of exceptional people known as the Imperial Knights; a group your character is expected to be a junior member of, or perhaps simply associated with. For the most part, the Knights do whatever needs to be done to keep the empire running in situations where throwing manpower, metal, or money at a problem isn’t viable. This ranges from monster hunting to espionage to arcane research - even confronting eldritch terrors. Most knights typically specialize in a couple of areas, but the group as a whole are multipurpose enforcers. (The Knights aren't really the traditional, plate-armored kind - the title is more about the nature of their service than it is about a specific role.)
A skilled knight can expect lavish rewards for their service. Riches, land, noble titles, and political capital are common, but it is far from unheard of for an important individual to request more creative favors. The party are not yet full knights, lacking some of the formal authority and informal influence that come with the title - but as initiates they're acknowledged as candidates for the title, should they prove themselves clapable.
But, don't let the above limit your character ideas and backgrounds too much! The Knights have a large amount of freedom in how, exactly, they resolve the situations they are faced with; so long as the problem goes away, their methods needn't conform with traditional Osinyan thinking. (I'm pretty specifically trying to avoid an evil campaign here!) And your character doesn't have to be on board with the whole imperialism thing to have good reason to join; perhaps they might want a measure of social mobility, to use a knight's influence to support unpopular reforms, or simply to stop the bloodshed of a second war. (The one major restriction I have on character motivation is to avoid an outright double-agent type who is expected to backstab the party at some point. I want to make sure everybody can stick together as a cohesive group!)
This campaign is a living world and in many ways a sandbox for the players. In practical terms, while the party is expected to pursue tasks assigned to them, the methods you choose in doing so are entirely up to you, and you'll have increasing opportunities to set your own objectives as your influence grows. All the major people you encounter are probably playing an angle of some kind - you're encouraged to work towards your own ends, too! Don't be afraid to be a driver of the plot in your own right; you'll lose your head in the Empire if you only ever do things you're told. Play your cards right and you might just be able to change the fate of the world.
That’s all the important player buy-in out of the way for now. So, as for some details, I’m wanting one player to round out a group of 4, with the party currently being level 7. (We started at 6, so still quite early in the overall game!) I do have some moderate house rules, the most notable of which is “gritty realism”, though I mostly like it as a pacing tool as I’m not fond of overly much grit nor realism. I love to build themey decks, and I have a project I've been working on for awhile; a Baldur's Gate 3 EDH deck set.
The first one is the Tav & Company deck; I chose Tiamat as the Commander to put the Dragons in D&D, but Garth One-Eye would be an appropriate second choice. I included all recruitable party members, and focused on rolling d20s.

But the party is not all there is to the story! I also wanted to represent the villains of the game, and I did so through a set of decks, because I struggled to fit Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul into a single deck (although they do have a lot of overlap)

I also wanted to represent the Cult of the Absolute, and I did so with Gut in a fun theft/sacrifice deck: Cult Conscription
The final deck I'd like to make for this project is one that centers on [[Raphael, Fiendish Savior]], but I'm having a hard time brewing it. The ratio of creatures to non-creatures seems to always feel wrong, and while Raphael gives a good boosts via lifelink and his anthem effect, choosing which demons and devils work best together seems tricky.
My first iteration was just sort of "Rakdos Goodstuff" with a bunch of demons and draw spells. You can see it here: The Devil You Know
In my goldfishing and playtesting, it just seems to wind up with an empty board a lot. Demons are expensive and targets for removal/wipes, and it doesn't rebuild very quickly.
Today I brainstormed a different approach, this one focusing more closely on Raphael's second ability (make a devil token at each end step if a creature card was put into your graveyard). It has a lot of looting effects to try and maximize the token production, Dance with the Devil
That being said, I'm not completely satisfied with it, either. I am seeking advice from the hivemind on helping figure out these commanders, keeping in theme where we can. I usually try to keep a budget under $150, but I'm willing to bend that rule if it helps the deck be more flavorful and fun, that being said, slamming expensive staples like Dockside Extortionist, Jeska's Will, Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick aren't really high on my priority list.
I'd greatly appreciate any insight or advice you may have for me, on Raphael's deck in particular, but on any of the others as well!

I have built many different Treasure themed decks, Joleen, Ognis, Korvold, Magda, none ever stuck for one reason or another. Enter Vihaan.
Even with the extensive goldfishing, and even a few games at an LGS, I still can't seem to get this deck dialed in. I want to be doing aristocrat stuff by creating and sacrificing the treasures, preferably as creatures for additional value. Beating face is a backup wincon. Play pattern right now is mull for a treasure creator, draw and lands; Get treasures and bodies down; Play Vihaan.
I guess the strengths are its amount of mana that becomes available after getting treasures, being able to pivot from aristocrats/ping to beat face and its unassuming presence in the early game.
Weaknesses include, artifact hate, boardwipes and inconsistent opening hands/turns.
It feels like some openings I set up perfectly and the whole thing is pretty much online by turn 4 or 5. Other turns it feels like by turn 6 I am rocking 4 lands and finally get my first treasures on board. As a side note, I just started a playtest on Moxfield and I am currently mulling down to 1... Not 1 single keepable hand where I wasn't relying on the heart of the cards.
I can't afford crazy shit right now like Mondrak and fetches, what I have in here I already had in my collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First time Reddit poster. Started watching in 1998 and wound down in 2011.
I read/hear a lot about how Shawn Michaels/HHH pulled a last minute swerve for Shawn to win the European Championship over The British Bulldog at the 1997 One Night Only PPV. The detractors say that although Shawn's excuse was that he was doing it for "heat" and to make the title mean something, he didn't really do much with it and treated it as an afterthought joke. The D-X vs Hart Foundation feud happened a little bit before I started tuning in, but over the last 10-15 years, especially with more "shoot" interviews available, books/articles published, etc. it's possible the narrative of what happened at One Night Only is a mischaracterization of Shawn Michaels.
What We Know: In 1997, The British Bulldog aka Davey Boy Smith -- a member of the heel stable, The Hart Foundation -- is the European Champion and is always expected to "go over" whenever the WWE travels to Europe. 9/20/97 is the One Night Only PPV, in Birmingham, England.
What has been said by a few sources: Up till the day of the show, Davey was under the assumption that he was not going to lose the title to Shawn Michaels, since England is obviously within Europe. What made this event extra special is that there had been a plan for him to be escorted to the ring by his sister who was sadly stricken with a terminal illness. There would've then been cheers all around for this valiant hero and the 11,000 fans would then be sent home happy with a feel-good story.
Here is where things get murky: The same sources state that Shawn and HHH decided to pull a fast one on Vince McMahon an hour or so before it was show time. The two demanded that Shawn beat Davey for the European Championship. Has Shawn or HHH ever independantly admitted that it was in that short of a turnaround and that the two went behind Davey's back? Even Jim Ross says that Davey was with Shawn and HHH when the idea to change the finish was pitched and blames Davey for not "protecting himself." That means Davey agreed and was not forced. As mentioned earlier, the excuse that has been used is that Shawn felt that it would be a great way to draw "heat" since there was very much a pro-Davey crowd watching and so the return match in the Spring of 1998 (when they headed back to not just the UK, but this time in Manchester which was The Bulldog's billed hometown) would have a massive redemption arc which would be that much greater for the fans. In the meantime, Shawn would have good matches and elevate the European Championship, something, quite frankly, he was better at than Davey. It ties into the reasoning that has been given in that Shawn (arguably being at the peak of his ability), would be able to make that title mean something (like what he did for the Intercontinental Championship).
However, because of the backstage Kliq stories which continue to come out, the manner in which Shawn later dropped the European Championship, and the fact that there really was no return match for Shawn vs. Davey since both were out of the WWE by then, many fans have pointed to this PPV as an "obvious" example of the weight Shawn and HHH carried backstage. In recent shoot interviews, Bret Hart (who would leave the WWF six weeks later in spectacular fashion) has said this match was simply a way to make Davey and the rest of the Harts look foolish.
What you can't deny is the heat in the arena, after the match, was white-hot.
Okay with that background established, let's look to see why I feel that what happened at the One Night Only PPV is a mischaracterization of Shawn Michaels:

• The Hart narrative.
  • It's hard to put a lot of stock into "he said, she said," but in case you want to take it as gospel...in Page 256 of Shawn's book (yeah, yeah, I know) Heartbreak & Triumph, he details that Davey was on board with the plans -- with no mentions of if it was pitched an hour before or days earlier. If fans are ready to believe Bret, why can't they leave wiggle room for Shawn?
    • While Shawn certainly has excuses (and apologized) for his sophomoric hijinx and makes himself sound like a creative genius, Bret has consistently come off as two things: 1) Making himself look heroic 2) Making himself look like he's had a perpetual gloomy cloud over him at every stage of life. His book, My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling, briefly mentions this match and some nonsense of how he "saw the light die in Davey's eyes that day, darkness seeping into a heart that was giving out." Statements like that (and ones he continues to say) are dangerous, essentially telling fans that Shawn is partly responsible for the death of Davey Boy, stemming from this match. Huge mischaracterization.
  • Bret points to how Davey told everyone he expected to win, promised everyone that he was going to win the match for his English fans and especially his sister...as proof that Shawn swerved plans at the last minute just to needle the Harts ("It was designed to make us all look stupid." -- Inside The Ropes ).
    • What? There's literally thousands of instances where wrestlers lose in their hometown and use real life to push stories. And finishes change all the time. The new storyline made long term sense and Vince/Creative agreed. It could have been great, but no one expected Bulldog to quit six weeks later because of the Screwjob. No one expected Shawn's back injury to happen a couple months after that.
  • Diana Hart Smith (Davey's wife and Bret/Owen's sister) in 2012 said, regarding the changed finish, you "have to do what you're told." However, she is not credible, by Bret's own words, stemming from his reaction to a largely fictional biography on the Hart Family, written by Diana (Under the Mat).
• Davey was still booked to look strong, despite losing.
  • The RAW before the event, Davey had his knee "injured" from chair shots by HBK/HHH. And yet Davey still didn't "quit" when locked into the Figure Four at the PPV (even with HBK getting help from all the members of D-X). The match was stopped, akin to Stone Cold vs Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13. Diana Hart Smith even got involved in the post match antics with Chyna.
  • I don't believe, for a moment, the Hart family -- especially Bret -- didn't fully agree to how it all precisely happened especially when you're getting non-wrestlers involved inside the ring. If they wanted to change it, they could've.
    • There's been no mention from Bret about going to bat for Davey and them getting rejected.
• Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation still had a lot of backstage influence.
  • This wasn't Savio Vega or Dean Douglas eating an unnecessary pin. There is an established history of the Harts wanting to do things their way. Bret was World Champion and by far the highest paid wrestler on the roster so although Shawn had stroke, Bret certainly did too. And Davey had been with the company and had success far longer than Shawn (though in interrupted stages). DQ/Countout results are a common occurrence for situations where two powerful wrestlers/factions don't want to "job" to one another. In fact, the 10/6/97 RAW had Bret changing a finish where he was supposed to eat a pin from HHH (via HBK interference) into a Countout.
  • Yes, certainly, maturity was something Shawn and HHH lacked but you have to remember that unlike the Harts, they were not nepo-babies raised in the industry. And they were much younger (Shawn is 8 years younger than Bret whereas HHH is 12 years younger). Even Davey could be considered a nepo-baby since Dynamite Kid was his first cousin and he debuted in the WWF largely because Stu Hart cut a deal to include his son-in-law.
• Bret's possible thought process
  • My opinion (yes, speculation) is that Bret knew he was out the door and so he didn't care too much about what happened to Davey's European Championship since he had his own issues he was dealing with, regarding WCW contracts, Wrestling with Shadows, and dropping the World Championship. He mentioned how stressful all that was. What is fact though is that Davey wasn't someone Bret held in high regard. From talking about him not being able to construct matches, to being under the influence, to personal life issues, to even forcing Davey to cut his long braided hair because according to Davey's family, Bret said it was starting to look too much like his (even though it wasn't the same type nor color).
  • I also feel that with everything that happened between that period, and to Brian Pillman, Owen, and Davey dying very young, it understandably left an awful taste in their mouths. It all gets magnified a bit. Then add that Bret's time with WCW wasn't really anything extraordinary (for his standard), and his constant reminding us of how Goldberg ended his career makes me believe that there still is a grudge with HBK/HHH which will never truly go away. And unlike Shawn who seemingly has moved on, Bret hasn't. Which is why he keeps establishing the narrative that the Hart Foundation was always in the right and the D-X was always in the wrong.
• Finances
  • 1997, the WWF was in peril. House shows and merchandise were selling, but PPVs were not. Having a swerve on a PPV makes the next one "must see TV" (again, this was a world before streaming). In this instance, the next time they came to England. Nitro was still beating RAW.
• Storyline
  • Shawn had only recently turned heel (after SummerSlam, a month earlier). The plan was established from back then to have a heel Shawn face Austin at WrestleMania XIV. This was an era where there really was only one major show per week (and some on tape delay) and most fans did not have internet access at home, so establishing quick, obvious heat was important. What better way than to "screw" Davey in front of his fans and family? Beating Davey in the USA wasn't going to do it because, remember, Davey was a heel in the USA. 9/29/97 (two days later) Davey faced Vader in New York. Vader was about to beat him clean and then the Harts stormed in and used weapons on Vader, resulting in a DQ.
    • If not beat Davey, a former Intercontinental Champion, then who? The talent roster was quite thin and a memorable Undertaker program was upcoming. Also, Shawn had not had a singles belt since Feb 1997. Nevertheless, the ratings jumped towards the end of 1997.
• Defending the European Championship
  • How many of you remember Davey ever defending the European Championship on RAW or a PPV? From the moment he won it on 2/26/97, over the next seven months, he defended it only four times on non-house shows. Even if you include house shows, the vast majority of the defenses were in the USA so it was hardly a Europe-only belt. All the four RAW or PPV matches ended in DQ/Countout type finishes. I'll be honest, I haven't watched every single one of those matches but I do see that he beat HHH via pinfall, as one of his first defenses on 2/28/97. Davey regained the belt on 10/26/99 after he came back, but lost it six weeks later on 12/12/99 as he started spiraling, defending it only a handful of times on TV.
  • Shawn, unlike Davey, really could make that belt mean something so I do believe the Manchester return match in the Spring of 1998, after he dropped the World title to Austin, would've been big (not unlike Hart vs Bulldog at SummerSlam 1992). Even his most ardent haters will admit to HBK's talent. Yes, he dropped it to HHH in a comedic fashion on 12/11/97 but what was the alternative? With Bret leaving/gone and Shawn in a program with The Undertaker (who didn't need the European Championship since he was about to face Kane), as a World Champion (earlier than he thought he was going to be -- Screwjob plans were hatched later than Sept) him randomly losing the European title would've made him look bad even if it was lost in an underhanded fashion. Losing it to Owen could've been a possibility but Owen would win the Intercontinental Championship on 10/5/97 so that wouldn't really make sense neither. That said, the two of them faced one another on 10/20/97 in a title for title clash (No Contest). Owen later beat HHH for the European title on 2/26/98 (and then lost it back) and the two later had a WrestleMania XIV match for it. So dropping it to HHH made sense. Look at the roster back then and tell me who an alternative could have been?
  • Shawn gets a lot of heat for not defending the European title as often as some feel he should have. But as of 9/20/97, the WWE didn't know what Bret was going to do. Shawn infamously won the World Championship on 11/9/97. I'm not going to rehash the backstage Montreal play-by-play but I firmly believe that if Bret stayed with the WWE for a bit longer, Shawn would have had more time to have matches for the European title. The problem is everything happened so quickly. Unlike Davey, it's not like Shawn spent seven months as European Champion and defended it only four times on TV. Shawn did defend it three times on TV but in 2 1/2 months including an epic with Shamrock on RAW on 11/3/97, before he won the World title from Bret. Between a program with The Undertaker, leading D-X, and becoming World Champion sooner than he expected, there was no time (or really justification) to defend the European title even more often, when he had a program with Austin coming (in arguably the biggest title change in history).

TL:DR Even if (big, if) the finish was changed an hour before showtime, Davey agreed to the finish (with what I believe is with the Hart family on board -- but seeing how it all played out over the next few months and years left a bad taste and narrative change). Shawn winning the European Championship was what was best for business. Therefore Shawn flexing his backstage power "just because" or "only to hate on the Harts" makes zero sense.

My relationship with gluten has always been ~confusing~
I initially cut it out about 12 years ago when I was just getting sick all the time. I had a Dr. who pretty much recommended the paleo diet to all of his patients, and I got on board with this and gave it a try. I had a massive weird detox with a major months-long rash, and then ended up losing some serious weight that I eventually gained back. Maybe there's some merit to paleo, but it wasn't for me, and I'm pretty anti-"diet" in general.
For some reason, when I quit paleo, I felt that I should continue to avoid gluten, dairy, and sugar -- maybe because they're so present in social media rhetoric about healthy eating? Over the next ~5 years or so, I oscillated constantly on whether I was eating each of these three food types or not. I feel like I drove my friends and family crazy. I guess to some degree, I played around with different combinations of reintroduction.
For the last 7 years now, I've been pretty stably gluten free, and there are no other foods I regularly avoid. But sometimes, I eat gluten and absolutely nothing bad happens. However, sometimes I eat gluten, and I feel like my face gets red/hot/puffy (not in an allergic way, just in a slightly inflamed way) and I get the "gluten fog." Honestly though, I'm not sure that avoiding gluten makes me feel any better, and I really feel like the reactions are psychosomatic sometimes.
I just had a daughter, and I really don't want to put any eating baggage on her (I know that I got a lot from my mom - she was the one who initially took me to the Paleo Dr. mentioned above when I was seventeen, and I grew up with her always being hugely into fad diets). I don't want to make my daughter gluten free unless she ends up having a sensitivity, but I also don't want to eat different meals from the rest of my family every night. I've been toying around with re-introducing gluten fully, but I feel like I'll just confuse and frustrate everyone around me who has gone out of their way to accommodate me for these last ~12 years.
Sorry this is long and relatively pointless, but I guess I'm just here to ask: has anyone else had a similar experience? Sometimes I worry that I'm just appropriating a food sensitivity that I don't actually have, but I also am so afraid of becoming a gluten-eater again after avoiding it for over a third of my life.

What Ideas do you guys have for board themes for maybe the next game.
Toy Dream is one of my favorite boards of all time and I love the aesthetic, so my Idea was a board called Toy Town and it would be very similar to Ribbon Road from Mario Kart as it takes place in a bedroom but there would be lots of different toys all around and covering the board.
I also love the idea of a board where the main feature is a waterfall and the board is split between a top and bottom section with different events and ways to swap between the sections. It would cool if you could go behind the waterfall aswell. The overall area could be inside a jungle.
I would love your ideas on what cool themes they could do.

Tl;Dr: my mom is mad I won't let her or her boyfriend hold my newborn after he travels internationally. I'm annoyed.
So I'm due with my second baby at the end of August. My mom's boyfriend lives in England and we live in America. He is planning on visiting the first week of September. I don't have the best relationship with my mom, but it's... fine. I had my first baby during lockdown, pre vaccine, so we had to be careful then too. When my sister had hers, my mom stayed with her for two weeks to "help" and that would be a situation I would never agree to anyway lol.
Her boyfriend is actually a great guy. It's a bit of an odd story, but I've known him all my life and he and my late dad were good friends. I'm looking forward to his visit, but out of precaution for my newborn, I don't feel comfortable with him holding her after he's traveled from England, stayed a few days in New York City, then makes his way to my mom's house.
I told this to my mom on Mother's Day and it didn't go over well. She had apparently made plans of taking an extended leave from work both for his visit, and to help with my newborn. I never agreed to that, and will not be changing my mind. I told her I'm also not comfortable with her holding and cuddling my newborn when he's here because if he has any sicknesses, she would be carrying it too. I'm fine with visits if the boyfriend says they're feeling fine, just not holding the baby.
My mom was a nightmare during COVID and was deceitful then too. Another weird story, but I found out through the local news of all places she was lying to me about visiting family who are huge COVID deniers and were living life as if COVID weren't a thing. I wasn't falling for it anyway and still not letting her visit, but I was furious she had been lying. It wasn't surprising though.
My immediate family avoided COVID until last year when she showed up for our scheduled plans with COVID, said nothing, and accidentally sneezed in my husband's face. I would trust her boyfriend to tell me if anything we're going on, but I know for a fact my mom wouldn't and I don't want to risk it.
This is really just a vent since it feels like even out of the pandemic, my mom is trying to push every boundary again when she is my children's grandma and should be on board with not giving a literal newborn any risks to sickness. She is the most drama filled person I know and is just exhausting in general. I'm good at holding boundaries and cannot and will not be persuaded, but the fact it has to be like this is just beyond annoying.

Two years ago my friend and I (30f) met and made a group of friends at a local park. The group consists of 3 dads and 4 moms. Late 20s to early 30s. Me and one of the dads hit it off and became good friends. We’ve met up with our kids to hang out at arcades and other places. We obviously have chemistry that everyone has picked up on but haven’t ever said anything to each other revealing our feelings. When setting something up amongst the group to hang out without kids he seems hesitant and makes up excuses on why he can’t come. He is on board when hanging out with kids. We recently drove together on a 4 hour trip with our kids to a theme park. We had a lot of fun and the conversation was great the whole ride. We have been to each others home for play dates. Everything seemed to progress. 6 months ago he told one of the dads he likes me. He never pursues me and we don’t really talk much outside of the park excepts making plans to hang out with kids. He travels a lot and is outgoing. I’m genuinely confused on the dynamic. Is he scared to pursue me or is he just not that interested?

Evening all,
I have noticed and it has been pointed out to me that anytime someone gives me a compliment, or shows intrest in my career or hobbies, I imedalty put the activity (not the person) down with comments like "yeh it's alright, what about you what do you do for a hobby" then just shift the conversation onto them.
This has led to me realising that now no collages or friends ask me about things, and when they do I lack taking the complement on board.
Has anyone got advice on how to stop my self from just deflecting praise or intrest.
TL:DR when ever anyone pays me a compliment or shows intrest in something I deflect and change the subject, how do stop?

The next step for me was Improving My Overall Health. Living well with Chiari starts with living well everywhere else.
Meditation:
If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times. Meditation is good for you. It’s not a woo woo thing. It’s a creative thing.
My first real experience with meditation was with Dr. Joe Dispenza. His book You Are the Placebo was the catalyst that started me down another road--one that didn’t involve doctors who didn’t know what to do with me, and reliance on prescription medication.
The catalyst for major change in my life, and my introduction into healing myself.
If you haven’t heard of Dr. Dispenza but you’re at all interested in changing any facet of your life, health, personality, or habits, he’s worth Googling. The guided meditation that accompanied You Are the Placebo was intended to change something about my health by helping me create and connect with the version of health that I wanted to experience instead. Every time the mediation ended, I felt strong, empowered, and hopeful. And I don’t think it’s any coincidence that today I feel (almost) as good as the version I created in my own mind, long before I saw any physical change in my body.
We forget--especially when we are sick and in pain--that we have so much more power over our circumstances and our bodies than we realize. Dr. Dispenza seeks to remind us of who we are and what we are capable of, and show us how to actually change our minds to change our health.
You don’t have to get on board with Dispenza (though you can find his free meditations on Youtube). Admittedly, his work goes deep, and you might not be interested or ready to go there. Any meditation, even sitting for five minutes of quiet breathing is going to help calm your raging thoughts and the body that’s probably feeling too much.

Hydration:
Simple, right? Drink more water. Fluids in a well-hydrated body flow better, and let’s face it—for those of us with crowding at the back of our skulls, flow is vital. Flow is life.

Put Good Stuff In:
Fruits and vegetables
High quality vitamins/supplements—the best you can budget
Detox—naturally with food or with the help of a detox program. I have done Alejandro Junger’s Clean program a few times, and felt amazing afterwards. It’s an easy to follow program outlined in his book Clean. You don’t need to buy the food/supplements from him (I didn’t) but that used to be an option—not sure if it still is. I also use the supplement Clean Slate by Root.
Juice—and not the kind out of a bottle. Juice your own fruits and vegetables for a nutrient bomb to your cells. Check out the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead if you want to see how beneficial fresh juice can be.
Smoothies—some would argue it’s better than juicing because with smoothies you keep the fiber. I like them because they are a great way to get nutrients into my body quickly.

Limit the Bad Stuff:
This should be a no-brainer, but it’s very easy to get caught up in habits and not as easy to change them.
Prior to the Chiari diagnosis, I smoked for a few years. I’m not proud of it, but there you have it. As soon as the Chiari pain started—which was triggered by coughing—it was easy to quit. I haven’t smoked a cigarette since.
Alcohol was a different story. I have a long, complicated history with alcohol. For part of this journey, red wine actually helped relieve the coughs, and that’s part of why I drank 1-3 glasses every night for years. I kicked that nightly alcohol habit in January 2024…long after it stopped being necessary to keep me from coughing. Now I’ve noticed that if I do partake in a few drinks, the Chiari wakes the fuck up with a roar. It honestly takes the fun out of a cocktail! I had to be several months out of that habit, though, to realize how much better I felt on a daily basis without it.

Essential Oils:
I know, I know, they aren’t for everyone. But they’ve helped me so much that I will post separately outlining how I use them with Chiari.
Enzymes:
I debated mentioning this because I know they won’t be available for everyone. Since they do play a significant role in my overall health, it wouldn’t be right not to talk about them.
The enzymes I’m referring to are made by Loomis, a company that specializes in enzymes for nearly every organ and system in the human body. The catch? You need to order them through Loomis practitioners. Until a few years ago, I happened to work for one. If you’re interested, you can search for a practitioner near you from the Loomis website.
These aren’t your average digestive enzymes (though the importance of a healthy gut cannot be overstated). Mostly I use certain formulas to help ward off that old familiar foe: the cold bug. Just as I never go a day without essential oils, I never miss a chance to take certain enzymes at the first sign of trouble. And like the oils, they’ve done exactly what I need them to do.

This is just the beginning. It’s true that nothing changes if nothing changes. And changes—even positive ones—can be hard, especially when living with Chiari can suck the life right out of you.
I feel better. Genuinely better. Most days I don’t experience any symptoms. It’s not magic, but I had to pull myself out of the dark and make some changes. If I can do it, so can you.

My pcp keeps billing insurance as if he is doing psychotherapy but I see him for 5 or 10mins to follow on my meds and get a monthly scripts.
This incorrect code is triggering a $25 co pay and if they coded correctly I would not have a co pay.
I have been back and forth with insurance many many times and even though insurance resubmits these claims and I show on the insurance app I have a $0 responsibility the office insists I owe this money and have even refused me to to see the Dr unless I made some partial payment.
Changing dr is very difficult for me due to the meds I'm on, my history, and other Dr's in the area having a very long wait to get in and no guarantee they are willing to write my scripts.
I have even looked into reporting this as fraud and balance billing to Medicare and state insurance board as well as insurance but that solves nothing for me because then I could not receive the care I need.
I feel defeated. What can I do?

So, I was watching Splitsie's "Underground Alone" series a while ago, and on the "Board meeting" episode, I got some inspiration. I need some help though.
TLDR at the bottom;
Background
First, is a VERY simple small grid combat drone I used in my EFM (Escape From Mars) playthrough.
Literally just a few small atmo thrusters (the design predates flatmos); 1 left, 1 right, 1 forward, 1 back, and two lift thrusters. The "main body" was a connector (again predates small connectors) with 2 forward facing gats on the 2 ports, and a reloadable rocket launcher above the connector. On top of that is the battery. It was not very durable, but that wasn't the point.
Well, when Splitsie himself said that the drones in his series had thrusters dialed up to 11 and unlimited ammo, I realized that the one shortcoming my drone had was that it could be taken down with a pistol, could instead be overcome with quantity. So I immediately set about making a carrier to launch 10 of them. The carrier is also small grid, and is meant to be slow, and armed with rocket turrets. The entire point was meant to force the player to intercept the carrier before it launched its drones. Otherwise, the drones would both soften up and preoccupy the player's defenses while the carrier just hung out of range firing rockets at the player's base.
TLDR;
Can I have the carrier to get within a set distance of an enemy (read as player-owned) grid before the drones launch, make the carrier only detect stations, and finally, restrict how close the carrier can get to said enemy station, all without needing scripts?
BTW: The carrier is named the "Andrew Wilson"-class, and the drones are now called "Surprise Mechanics", in homage to the theme Splitsie has for the enemies in "Underground Alone".
I have plans to make a large, well-defended base that will initially start by spawning more and more MTX's up to 5 to attack the player, before spawning "Andrew Wilson" class carriers, first one at a time, then two, and topping out at a fleet of 3 "Andrew Wilson"-class carriers, which will have a whopping 30 MTX's between them. I still need a name for the base, so some suggestions would be appreciated too.

My players (all 10th level now) rescued an elderly self-described "experimental and theoretical" wizard. At the end of the session, he told them he would be sending them a unique artifact from his research. I had a rather silly idea that this item would take them into a "game show" dimension. The item will come with instructions and tell them to use it immediately. When they use it, I will tell them everything goes black and that they only hear some music faintly playing. The music starts to get louder and, on my phone, I'll queue up the theme to "The Price is Right" on a Bluetooth speaker. They find themselves in an audience with all kind of strange beings. The music stops and they hear each of their names called, " COME ON DOWN!" The announcer ends by welcoming their host - "Zod Zarkar!" A well-dressed Djinn appears with a thin microphone and starts the game.
I'd love to hear some ideas on some fun ways to incorporate D&D themes into The Price is Right. I would like to make it as interactive as possible. I've found a cheap Plinko board and think I can make some of the other games for them to actually play during the session. I don't think I can recreate the Big Wheel but I'm sure I can come up with something with dice. I even want to try to pull off a Showcase Showdown!

Hi guys i recently failed my Cbat with a score of 80 (i know it sounds low) for pilot which required 112, and only passed 2 roles, however heres the thing, except for Pilot and RPAS, the only domain i failed in was Psych (TRT, MAFT) and I know i messed up bad on TRT but did okay on MAFT, i had been using practicing on the CBAT ready app for TRT and was doing good, but on the test i messed up because i was confused by the unknown targets message, so i pressed basically everything yellow, and i think this brought my score down by quite alot, so theres that for my score, then for pilot domains i failed the SMA & RTT and FLAG, SMA - i thought the footpeds were abit awkward to use so couldnt keep it centered, RTT - sometimes accidentally took a photo when the target switched suddenly, however out of RTT & SMA im not sure which one drove my score down. FLAG - I guess i underestimated how much time i had to answer questions so probably missed alot of the arithmetic questions and wasn’t paying alot of attention to the callsigns either.
This isnt me blaming the test or anything, i know i messed up on some parts and think i would have had a higher score if i hadnt made silly mistakes, on my scoresheet i mostly got greens across the board by really just got my score dragged down in some areas, my question is to you guys is: if i had gained a decent score in the tests i stated previously, would i have stood a chance for pilot?

TL;DR I messed up bad in some areas and i think it tanked my score. But if i have done differently would i have got the score i needed?

tl:dr; I travel with a baby and my partner, and I usually preboard to install the car seat while partner and baby load last to limit time on the plane with the baby (and thus, time spent crying). How to deal with other passengers being super angry about preboarding and “saving seats” in this situation?

First I’ll say that I’m not a habitual Southwest flyer. For better or worse, the SW flights out of my home airport are not cheap, and I’m a personal-item-only bargain basement traveller in general, so I usually pick Spirit on cost alone. HOWEVER, I recently flew SW with family and fell in LOVE. Now, I have a 1yo, and we are flying SW for a total of four flights, two each way, with pretty tight connections.
I purchase a seat for my baby and usually preboard with the car seat because it genuinely takes a little bit longer to get checked by the FAs, install in the seat, get baby’s stuff set up, etc. I have done it both ways - with and without preboard - and the time I tried it with regular boarding, I felt very much like we may have held up the FAs closing the doors bc everything wasn’t installed yet.
All that to say, after jointing this subreddit, I am very concerned about preboarding. Everyone here seems really…. angry about people preboarding, regardless of the reason.
To compound the potential problem, my partner stays off the plane as long as possible with the baby to reduce the time she is on the plane (and hopefully limit crying on the flight!). This has worked well on other airlines with assigned seating, but with SW does mean that I would be on the plane “saving seats” with the car seat and for my partner, even though they would also qualify for preboarding.
How do I go about this? I have no problem politely interacting with other passengers on the plane and explaining why I need this half row, etc. But this subreddit kind of makes me think I might encounter some very angry people and I just want to be prepared for that.
I appreciate everyone’s input. I am honestly just trying to be prepared and be as educated a passenger as possible.
