Does anyone else's nparent(s) immediately jump down your throat the MOMENT you mention switching jobs? My current job has been overworking me by adding things to my workload that are 100% in whole other departments' job descriptions, so I'm resigning probably next week. I'm working on building up the skills and clientele to make my creative businesses take off (I'm a wig stylist, DJ, music producer, and drag queen amongst other things). Obviously, this takes time
My parents (one nparent and one enabler) found out because I've been open about it (my bad) and even so much as yesterday immediately got mad when they asked me if I had another job lined up yet when they knew the answer was no when I said no. Turns out, success for them only comes in the form of money (nparent's own words) and to be unemployed and focus on myself is considered lazy and they get increasingly more involved in every aspect of my life when all I want to do is be left alone. Every time I get in an argument where I raise my voice or yell with my mother or my sister, I feel like I need to go to confession.
Yesterday, I screamed at my sister, called her a brat, and berated her. The yelling was loud and violent. Not violent in the sense that it was physical, but I know that yelling in a certain way is the same effect as violence.
I have a sincere desire to acknowledge my sins and to repent.
Here's where I get tripped up. My sister came to visit for a few days. She is moody and has ways of indirectly dealing with it by taking out her feelings of upset on me. She was doing dishes in an angry way and stacking them on the rack such that it was inevitable that something was going to fall and break. My mom quickly called me over to dry the dishes. I was confused because she normally does not do that, but after a minute I realized that it was because my sister was concocting a situation so that she had an excuse to get angry, namely a broken dish. I told her to stop stacking the dishes until I could clear some of them from the precarious pile. She snapped at me. I snapped back and it went from zero to 100 in all of two seconds. I screamed at her and told her she was acting like a brat. She fled to her room, realizing that she had gotten caught and wasn't going to get to blame someone else this time.
In my family, I have always taken the blame for this kind of thing. It used to be my dad when I was a kid. My dad was an addict and would always be angry. He would create a situation so that he could get upset and take it out on someone. I was frequently that person. And my mom and other family members let it happen so that I can absorb the shock rather than have any blame go to the person who is perpetuating it, in the past my dad and, yesterday, my sister.
I hate getting angry and yelling because I was the victim of verbal abuse and I know the harm it does. I know it is a sin. I ask myself how I can patiently suffer a wrong because that seems like the Christian answer. But, my sister has abusive tendencies. She will push and prod and poke underhandedly at me for days and days. And no one calls her on it because my family does not have common sense responses to bad behavior. Abusive behavior is met with denial and coddling. I feel like she needed to be yelled at to get the idea that "no," you cannot act like a brat to me incessantly and not expect to get told to f*** off.
I vacillate between the feeling that my sister was truly asking for it and knowing that anger is a sin. Every time I yell at her, I know that I need to make a confession over what I did. But I ask myself, if I were to truly repent and resolve not to do it again, what would that look like? Some kind of response was justified, and I felt like it had to have a violent quality. My sister is the kind of person that will f*** with you and f*** with you until you make it clear, using violence (not physical, but I consider a certain kind of screaming to be violent), that it has to stop.
It seems like confronting a bully.
I just try to confess factually what happened, acknowledging the violent quality of my actions, and also looking at how I have hurt and resentment that motivated them. But I do feel some justification on the inside, which also weighs on my conscience.

With no knowledge to fill the paper, I was certain of failing for the first time. However, in the last 30 minutes, a teacher provided answers, enabling me to pass all exams. I achieved 60% without studying for two years. My parents were disappointed with the results, believing I had studied diligently, but I alone knew the truth.

This year, I am venturing into a field quite different from my current one. I am preparing for the Chartered Accountant exams and will need to begin from the basics, as I have never studied the subjects before. I would also appreciate your advice on this matter.
My tendency to procrastinate, neglect my studies, and cheat has led me to feel like a failure. I'm reaching out through this post for help to get my life back on track, to be the good son to my parents that I once was, and to achieve something that will make them proud. My mental health has suffered because of a girl. I'm constantly thinking about her, and I can't bring myself to delete our chats, fearing it would mean losing her completely, though I feel I already have. I need guidance to overcome this.

Five humans, missing...
Undertale Yellow is a fan-made prequel to the hit indie game Undertale. While Undertale follows the story of Frisk, the seventh human child to fall into the monster ruled Underground, Undertale Yellow follows the story of their immediate predecessor. Meet Clover, the sixth human. Unlike the humans that fell before, this gun-toting cowboy is unique in the sense that their journey to the Underground was no accident. Clover entered the Underground voluntarily in order to investigate the disappearances of the previous five humans and, if it turned out they perished at some point after their fall, hoped to avenge their deaths. See, while Frisk possessed a red SOUL that embodied Determination, Clover's SOUL is yellow for the trait of Justice. Clover's journey would lead them all throughout the Underground, meeting some monsters that will be familiar to those who have played Undertale and some brand new faces as well.
Like Undertale before it, Undertale Yellow's story can be altered significantly depending on the player's actions. Perhaps Clover befriends the monsters they meet and determines they were unfairly trapped underground, deciding to sacrifice themselves to bring monster kind closer to freedom. Or maybe Clover will blame the monsters for the deaths of the previous human children, avenging them with swift cruelty. Either way, Clover will act in the way they believe they can best embody Justice.
So How Do the Fights Work Anyway?
Like its predecessor, Undertale Yellow tends to treat RPG mechanics as literal aspects of the game's world. Due to the abstract nature of fights in both Undertale and Undertale Yellow, with enemy monsters targeting Clover's SOUL rather than their physical body, it's understandable that there may be some confusion about how Clover actually scales to certain monsters. Luckily, this is a bit more clear in Undertale Yellow than it was in the original game, as the reveal trailer shows that the attacks of monster are things that Clover physically has to react to and dodge (we even see this same attack utilized in game) even though the battle menu only shows their SOUL.But this is just for when encounters have already begun, what about before that? And what triggers encounters anyway? There's an area in the Wild East where boulders are falling onto the path that Clover needs to dodge. If they fail to avoid them, this begins an encounter too, where Clover is given the opportunity to avoid the "attacks" in the battle menu to negate damage. Other examples include Clover escaping damage from hot steam after touching it and avoiding damage from Axis' energy balls after they hit them. What this means for standard versus fights is a little vague, but it likely means that any attack that would deal meaningful damage starts an encounter and that it would be impossible to simply kill Clover with a sneak attack. Even if it hit them, Clover would still get the opportunity to dodge before the proper fight begins. That said, there is one example of Clover dying without triggering an encounter at the end of the Neutral Route. It's possible this is because it was an unescapable situation but the mechanics of it are still vague and unclear.
As seen with the previous examples such as the falling boulders and steam, it seems that attacks that hit Clover's SOUL and their physical body are more or less interchangeable. Or rather, it isn't possible to circumvent the SOUL to only hit the physical body because even attacks that hit Clover's physical body will trigger an encounter that can then be dodged or endured by the SOUL.
Finally, it's worth noting that the sizes of objects can vary from their appearances in the battle to what they look like in the overworld. We see Clover's SOUL alongside their physical body a few times throughout the game and it's pretty consistently a little larger than their torso. So this thread will describe feats with that scale in mind.
Other Things To Note
- At the end of certain routes, Clover acquires certain abilities/powerups that don't necessarily apply to the rest of the game. Feats or items that are limited to those routes will be marked with the corresponding route.

- Like your standard RPG's, Undertale Yellow possesses a leveling system that will increase the more enemies that Clover kills, with certain abilities being unlocked after certain levels are achieved. However, in the Genocide route Clover showed off the ability to level up rapidly simply by being filled with enough righteous fury. Abilities that are locked behind certain levels will also be marked accordingly.

However, at the end of the Genocide route Clover levels up enough to steal Flowey's control of the timeline, ultimately taking the SAVE ability for themselves which they can use to SAVE and LOAD in the middle of battleLV 20

Note that while Clover can store excess items in boxes they find around the Underground, they can only carry eight items in their inventory not including their current Weapon, Ammo, Armor, and Accessory. Later in the game they discovered the Dimensional Satchel which allows them to access the boxes from anywhere, but they still only have eight slots to bring into an encounter.Weapons

- While the Toy Gun only fires once per turn, the Wild Revolver is fired six times in a row
- While the Wild Revolver looks and functions like a typical revolver, note that Blackjack does say that he made it so as not to be lethal (though the following line about how anything could be lethal if used enough times consecutively makes this seem more like a meta joke about RPG fight mechanics, even going so far as to mention the ballet shoes that are a weapon in the original Undertale)
Note that cutscenes will always play out the same regardless of whether the Toy Gun or Wild Revolver is being used, so while the Revolver is obviously the more powerful of the two the Toy Gun is much more powerful than it's name would suggest and the following feats apply to both weapons.

For anyone following we’ve had a few good weeks and things seem to be trending towards actually recovering and reconciling.
I also have recently been taking new medicine for my anxiety and while it’s helped quite a bit, when I take it as it’s new and we’re adjusting the dose, it causes spikes in my anxiety and then it feels like someone else is driving my body sometimes.
Anyways I was having a bad anxiety day. I couldn’t stop my thoughts from racing and drawing conclusions. My WW had thus far been honest with me and I may have fucked it all up. I let my anxiety control the conversation and I told her I can’t do this anymore. My brain wasn’t letting me reconcile what she was saying to her AP, and the reasons why she was saying those things (my love, cutie, sweetheart, or sending her love songs).
Her reasoning for not cutting off AP was because she said that AP is still dealing with a lot of grief with the death of her sister so my WW is trying to “be there and support her”.
This, obviously did not add up for me. I didn’t understand what was going on or why. The AP would often not respond to the cutesy stuff or leave her on read. I knew these things but still didn’t understand why my WW was saying it. Her reason wasn’t good enough.
It came to a head then the other day. I said I couldn’t do this. Hoping she’d help talk me down. Calm me down. And she tried but I let the anxiety control the conversation. I told her it didn’t make sense. That I don’t know why she’s saying those things. When she told me it would be platonic.
Well, the conversation devolved and I ended up having a panic attack and had to take like an hour or so and just breathe.
WW messaged me again and we were able to work through most of it. What I said. She had sent an email as a “declaration of love”. Highlighting how much she misses AP. AP hasn’t responded.
I knew she sent an email, not the content, and that came out in my spiral. She did send me it and I saw all the contents.
She maintained she “didn’t cheat”. I confronted her on this. Told her what I assumed happened. She tried to say that she was sorry I was hurt but supposedly I should’ve known when she said it was done that she was okay to do whatever.
I said nudes, and sexting, and making out is cheating. She agreed. So then I said you cheated. As I don’t do those things with my “friends”.
WW tried to justify it and when I simply said “Whatever” was when she took accountability. Stating that “Fine, it was a shitty thing to do.” I said I wasn’t sure she believed that.
She said, “Maybe I do believe it and I’m trying not to feel like a shitty human being and move on. Something you keep saying you’d like to do and then you continuously remind me of how shitty I am.”
Which 1) She hasn’t actually ever acknowledged or said something like the above. Surprising me with what seems to be the truth. 2) She says I remind her but it’s only a reminder because I was asking questions on things for clarity. And because I wasn’t willing to let her rug sweep.
So those two things together, make sense. It’s better than I never did that or I do XYZ with a lot of my friends.

It’s still a hard place to be. But she’s here. She’s trying. I have to trust the process. Trust her. Which is something that I caused/had issues with before she cheated.

I also have recently been taking new medicine for my anxiety and while it’s helped quite a bit, when I take it as it’s new and we’re adjusting the dose, it causes spikes in my anxiety and then it feels like someone else is driving my body sometimes.
Anyways I was having a bad anxiety day. I couldn’t stop my thoughts from racing and drawing conclusions. My WW had thus far been honest with me and I may have fucked it all up. I let my anxiety control the conversation and I told her I can’t do this anymore. My brain wasn’t letting me reconcile what she was saying to her AP, and the reasons why she was saying those things (my love, cutie, sweetheart, or sending her love songs).
Her reasoning for not cutting off AP was because she said that AP is still dealing with a lot of grief with the death of her sister so my WW is trying to “be there and support her”.
This, obviously did not add up for me. I didn’t understand what was going on or why. The AP would often not respond to the cutesy stuff or leave her on read. I knew these things but still didn’t understand why my WW was saying it. Her reason wasn’t good enough.
It came to a head then the other day. I said I couldn’t do this. Hoping she’d help talk me down. Calm me down. And she tried but I let the anxiety control the conversation. I told her it didn’t make sense. That I don’t know why she’s saying those things. When she told me it would be platonic.
Well, the conversation devolved and I ended up having a panic attack and had to take like an hour or so and just breathe.
WW messaged me again and we were able to work through most of it. What I said. She had sent an email as a “declaration of love”. Highlighting how much she misses AP. AP hasn’t responded.
I knew she sent an email, not the content, and that came out in my spiral. She did send me it and I saw all the contents.
She maintained she “didn’t cheat”. I confronted her on this. Told her what I assumed happened. She tried to say that she was sorry I was hurt but supposedly I should’ve known when she said it was done that she was okay to do whatever.
I said nudes, and sexting, and making out is cheating. She agreed. So then I said you cheated. As I don’t do those things with my “friends”.
WW tried to justify it and when I simply said “Whatever” was when she took accountability. Stating that “Fine, it was a shitty thing to do.” I said I wasn’t sure she believed that.
She said, “Maybe I do believe it and I’m trying not to feel like a shitty human being and move on. Something you keep saying you’d like to do and then you continuously remind me of how shitty I am.”
Which 1) She hasn’t actually ever acknowledged or said something like the above. Surprising me with what seems to be the truth. 2) She says I remind her but it’s only a reminder because I was asking questions on things for clarity. And because I wasn’t willing to let her rug sweep.
So those two things together, make sense. It’s better than I never did that or I do XYZ with a lot of my friends.

With this in mind, the middle range is perceived to the utmost, there are no dips and curbs there, and it is just excellent.The result is a 'smooth', but vibrant and simultaneously informative sound delivery with a stable low-frequency basis, perceived as 'dynamic' and 'detailed'. It is ten kinds of cool, simply brilliant tuning that retains its uniqueness and accuracy far beyond the price category of these earphones. The car I'm looking to get is a 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited, with $8,000 downpayment and the dealership 3.99% APR, I'd be looking at a $650 car payment with a $130 car insurance payment, which would bring my take home down to $1550. Is this a smart move? Are my finances okay in general?

I know if I was good at maths, I could take say the nutrional values of a 111g avocado and take the average values of a 100g avocado and add whatever those extra 11 grams would equate to by division and subtraction and addition and stuff.
I can't do any of that, yet (bad at maths). So is there a site where I could put say "how many calories in 294g of a cucumber?" like roughly get an answer for that exact number? I know these things aren't 100% but it beats me trying to find out. If for example, 100g serving = 10g fat, 6g protein. Then how much fat is in 136 grams using that chart. Sounds like a basic maths question but again I'm one bad day away from thinking 2+2=5, big brother needn't bother trying with me.
Myfitness pal is telling me "190g carbs, 75g protein, 50g fat" I can't reach those exact numbers unless I can know exactly what's in each food, roughly.

I never really paid attention to waht cards I have to optimize my money (be it rewards or cashback), but this site has helped me take this more into consideration and I am working on changing that. I typically travel 2-3 times a year (1 international, 1 domestic, 1 domestic/international) so I was leaning towards making my next card a travel card. Although not 100% sure, it seems like the kickr core will be included in the 20% off sale. Right now the price is $500 but this does not include Zwift cog + virtual shifting which retails for $80. The REI listing says it does not include casette? But the picture does have one. So would I need to purchase one separately? If so that would be another $50. And the zwift membership is $200. REI charges $30 for shopping. All this would come up to $760 that is considering this has the 20% off.
Even if I purchase gift card to use for this purchase, I would only get 15% back as a gift card later on. That plus $45 worth of co-op member reward. I’m not too keen on cashbacks as much as upfront costs.

Recently we had a discussion in a local group of programmers and there was a newbie question about which mac laptop he should buy. He wanted a mac because some tasks required a mac. My immediate advice was to buy an m1 since he was trying to optimize the budget. And my argument was that it is fast and will handle all his workloads. But I got a little push-back saying that "Android Studio" was not fast enough on some of the group's m1 macs and they switched to m3.
Opinions were divided when we discussed this in our group in about 50/50. Some people were saying that they have m1 macs and it works perfectly and others saying that it is ok but was lagging on some tasks.
My surprise is that I remember when m1 came it was like a product from future aliens. It was miles ahead of any competition and nobody had a single thought that it couldn't handle anything. I remember at the time Jonathan Blow (game developer) on his stream was answering a question about m1 and said something along the lines "Yeah it's fast but I don't care. Give it a couple of years and software slowness will catch up to it and it won't matter". At the time I was fascinated with the product and John seemed like a grumpy old-school programmer. But now it feels weird. I am not saying that m1 is slow or bad but just the idea that we are discussing if it can handle some basic programmer workloads and it is not 100% "of course" is strange.
I was wondering if it is similar in other groups or if we had just some statistical error in our group?
