Chapter 03
Unlikely Friendship
Unsurprisingly, Finn was already facing the first challenge of his new life in the form of a large, detailed map of the academy and its facilities. Not even 10 minutes after entering the academy's reception and heading down a random corridor, Finn was officially lost. With a bit of luck and mindless wandering, he, fortunately, or unfortunately, came across the map he was currently staring at with a frown in a random empty room.
His hands darted from left to right as he tried to understand even the slightest detail of the map, why was learning to read a normal map not on the list of priorities in school? He could make sense of a digital map, yet he was stumped by the map that could have easily been hundreds of years old! The design was clearly primitive in design and not intended for someone born in this day and age, why would the academy leave such a useless map strung up on a wall!? Finn’s brows furrowed at the thought. Maybe he was right, but he still needed to figure out how to get to the dormitory, was shouting internally at something so pointless going to help him here? The minutes passed by and Finn had made no progress in understanding the map, he was honestly about to give up and start walking mindlessly through the academy once again, until he was startled by a curious voice from behind.
“Excuse me!” the voice said from behind.
Startled by the sudden intrusion from behind, Finn physically jolted and spun around at what seemed like an impossible speed. As he spun around Finn’s eyes met the eyes of the person who had snuck up on him.
Pretty, Finn couldn’t help but think to himself. He was more than justified with that thought as the young girl who stood before him was nothing short of a natural beauty. The short-in-height girl’s medium-length auburn hair flowed down almost majestically to her shoulders and seemed to shine under the dim light, and her bright blue eyes reflected the image before them as though they were a mirror. She was dressed in normal attire, short white shorts followed by a long, peach cardigan. Finn couldn’t help but stare almost creepily at the girl, because compared to the girls from his hometown she was a top-tier model.
The young girl raised her hand and placed it on her neck, “Uhm… Sorry to startle you like that, I just thought you looked a little bit lost,” she suddenly said as she pointed toward the map.
Finn suddenly snapped back to reality, and nodded sheepishly after realizing what she said, “Yeah… I’m trying to figure out how to get to the dormitories, but can’t quite figure out the path,” he explained.
“I see!” she nodded assertively, “I can help you with that!” she announced.
Finn’s eyes opened wide upon the sudden revelation, “Really!? I’ve been stuck here so long-” he began, before adding, “I mean… cough, only a couple minutes,” he said, his tone changing to a more confident sound.
She giggled, “I sure can,” she paused as she reached out with her hand, “I’m Lyla, nice to meet you.”
Finn smiled as he reached out to grab her hand, “I’m Finn, nice to meet you.”

The unlikely duo began trekking through the academy, with Lyla leading the way while making small talk between each other, meandering left and right, down several corridors, and past several academy facilities. Fortunately, the academy was moderately quiet and empty because classes were still not due to start for another 2 days—Finn had decided it’d be best to come 2 days earlier to settle in. So they only passed by a couple of students along the way. The duo eventually entered a large, separate building and then into a long, empty corridor where they continued chatting.
“So you’re not even from the capital?” Lyla asked.
“Mhm. I’m from Velrid, quite a long way away from here,” he explained.
“Velrid? So you’re basically a country bumpkin,” she giggled to herself.
Finn shrugged in response, he can't really argue with that since it's mostly true.
“Even so, how did you manage to get into this school? 99% of the students are from the capital and or major families. You must be pretty amazing considering you were able to get in coming from Velrid,” she said, her joking tone changing to a more serious one.
“I wouldn’t say that. I guess I just worked harder than others,” he tried to brush off her statement.
“Maybe, but even with hard work you still need plenty of talent to be accepted here,” she shrugged, “Anyways,” she suddenly stopped and paused, “This should be your room,” she said, pointing to the door right next to them with a grin.
“Huh?” Finn looked at her, dumbfounded, “Oh!” he gasped, after coming to a realization, “I see, that was quicker than I expected,” he said.
“Well, that’s because I took one of my amazing shortcuts!” she said as she almost physically patted herself on the back.
“Of course. I will need to take note of your ‘amazing shortcut’,” he said, his voice tinged with a hint of sarcasm.
“Huh! It really is amazing! Did you not see how fast we got here?” she replied with a pout.
She's weird, but also funny, I like her, Finn thought to himself with a smile. “Sure. Anyways, thank you for leading the way, I’m not sure I ever would have found my way here without your help,” Finn said, thanking her sincerely.
“No problem. I didn’t have much to do anyway, classes don’t start just yet as you know,” she brushed it off before adding, “Ah! We should exchange contact details just in case you get lost or need help again.”
“What? I’m not that bad I swear,” he joked, “But sure, ‘just in case’ I get lost, exchanging details could save me,” he said with a shrug.
They reached out with their arms and touched each other's watches against each other gently, followed by a light “ding” sound, confirming they had exchanged details. Shortly after, they said their goodbyes, and Lyla left back the way they came. Finn smiled as he watched her move further away down the long corridor. She was quite energetic, but hey, I basically made a new friend already, right? He thought to himself excitedly. That was a surprisingly eventful encounter, maybe it was a good thing he got lost. He was surprised they got along so well, her excitable and energetic personality was almost the opposite of Finn’s, but hey, friends a friend.
Finn shook his head with a smile as he turned around and faced his door, only to be shocked to see there wasn’t a door handle, and neither was there a keyhole.
“Huh?” Finn audibly gasped.
Finn suddenly remembered back to earlier in the day, when the clerk at the gate had said his identification card was the key to his dorm room. He nodded in understanding, reached into his warm pocket, and pulled out his small identification card. He held the small, weighty card in his hand as he looked at it with intrigue, just how was this a key? He questioned to himself. He spun the card around in his hand, only to find nothing that could help on the back. He thought for a moment before raising his shoulders, maybe if I just touch the key against the door it will magically open? He chuckled at the thought.
He shuffled the card towards his fingertips and slowly reached towards the freshly painted, brown door. The moment the card came into contact with the door, Finn felt a light amount of mana get absorbed from the card and sucked into the door, disturbing his senses. Shortly after followed a sudden burst of dim, white light, that forced Finn to squint his eyes to keep them open, and just after the sounds of gears twisting and turning filled his ears, eventually followed by a light-clicking sound only for the door to suddenly swing wide open, without being touched or influenced in any way by Finn. Finn stood outside the open room, dumbfounded. His eyes were open in awe and his jaw was almost at the floor. What on earth just happened? He questioned to himself. A few seconds passed as he stood still, shocked by the door opening itself at just the touch of the identification card. Until he finally shook his head. He steeled his resolve, then confirmed that he was to study that door one day, something that cool couldn’t be left alone, it needed to be studied. Taking one final deep breath, he finally stepped forward. This was his new home, his new home for the foreseeable future.
Finn’s eyes lay upon the barebone room in all its glory, and he couldn’t help but smile. Sure it was basic, bare, and somewhat small, but he felt it was perfect. He could make it feel as homely as his room back at home with a bit of decoration and renovation. The room was square, with the nearest right corner to the entrance cut off for the on-sweet bathroom. In the back right of the room lay a small single bed, with simple white sheets and a thin duvet set. Right next to the bed was an old wooden drawer set with a small glass lamp illuminating the room resting on top. Just above the drawers was a small window overlooking the almost endless, luscious garden surrounding the academy. As he looked out the window into the seemingly infinite garden, he saw that the sun was now nowhere to be seen, as the dark of the night had enveloped the surroundings. Opposite his new bed lay a medium-sized closet, perfect for storing his limited amount of clothes.
Saying to himself that he would unpack everything tomorrow, Finn let his suitcase lean against his bed as his exhausted body sank into the soft mattress. Finn smiled as he breathed a deep breath of relief, the fresh smell of the newly renovated room, filling his nostrils. He wasn’t a big fan of the smell of fresh paint, but he honestly didn’t care right now. All he wanted to do was rest. Finn slipped off his shoes without sitting up and pulled the duvet over to cover himself. Closing his eyes, he reflected upon the long journey and the big step forward toward his dream that he had taken today. He was happy and proud of himself. The anxiety he had once felt during the morning was almost nowhere to be seen as he pushed it down to the depths of his mind, Finn truly felt like nothing could stop him now. Twisting onto his side he let his mind wander, and let the warmth and softness of his new pillows overtake him, pulling him into a deep, well-deserved slumber.

Finn’s unruly slumber was eventually disturbed in the early morning by the sounds of his stomach growling angrily. As it turns out, due to how busy he was the day before, he hadn’t had time to eat anything. Awakening with a muffled groan, Finn forced himself out of bed and over to the bathroom he had yet to check out. He wouldn’t normally get out of bed this fast, but he felt that if he didn’t eat anything soon, his stomach might start eating him from the inside out. Washing himself up quickly with the basic sundries provided by the academy, Finn dressed himself in similar attire to the day prior and headed toward the door. Opening the door with just a simple touch of his identification card, he stepped out into the corridor and watched the door close behind him autonomously with awe. Definitely going to learn how that works, Finn affirmed to himself once more. Racking his brain quickly on how to get to the cafeteria he nodded, thankfully Lyla’s “amazing shortcut” had taken them past the cafeteria yesterday.
As he took in the details of his surroundings and tried to push down the still lingering sense of anxiety he felt, he found himself pleasantly surprised to see the active flow of students funneling out from their rooms. Even a day before classes officially started, it seemed the academy was filled with plenty of life and activity. The morning sunlight shone through the tall windows that lined the walls and illuminated the path toward the exit of the dormitory building. Taking a deep breath, Finn let the energy of the cheery students around him invigorate his tired, anxious demeanor and began to follow the flow of students, through the long corridor, through the twists and turns, and out through the exit.
Immediately the fresh air of the summer day entered his nostrils as the warm, summer sun gently warmed the exterior of his skin. Finn breathed several deep breaths, before he began to walk through the lively academy grounds, his curiosity being piqued by the interesting mixture of classical and modern architecture of the buildings and facilities he passed, giving the academy a feeling of timeless charm. As he walked, the sounds of chatter continued to fill his eardrums, along with the sounds of people working busily inside the many different facilities he passed. He couldn’t help but notice the diverse variety of students that he passed. Magyo was home to a majority of the populous, allowing people of different nationalities and ethnicities to blend and thrive together. Despite their differences, there was a sense of camaraderie between them, a shared journey toward knowledge, growth, and power. Finn nodded in understanding and pride as he walked among them, who could have thought someone like Finn could find himself in a place like this?
He continued down the path, past the many unique facilities and buildings until he finally arrived at the cafeteria that sat near the heart of the academy. As Finn entered the cafeteria, after meandering his way through the tide of students arriving and leaving, a mouth-watering aroma wafted into his nostrils. As he took in the sight of the cafeteria, his jaw couldn’t help but open wide at just the sight. The cafeteria was a long, very tall, rectangular shape, with multiple different levels and stories seemingly floating above with hovering platforms bringing students up and down effortlessly. There were dozens of benches and seats on each floor, easily capable of occupying thousands of students. Finn’s eyes danced from left to right, up and down in awe with his jaw wide agape.
Everything in this academy is simply insane! He excitedly thought to himself. Something like this simply didn’t exist anywhere else in the world, Magyo was simply incredible. Finn eventually snapped back to reality and headed over to an empty bench. As he took a seat, he was immediately startled by the sudden intrusion of a translucent screen popping up in front of him. Before he could get annoyed he realized that the screen was actually the menu, and was how you ordered your food. Finn’s eyes lit up like fireworks at the revelation, this was even cooler than the floating floors and platforms!
He took his time in deciding what he would order for breakfast, before eventually deciding upon a popular dish he had been wanting to try for almost his entire life from the city in the north, Nordiff. It was a mixture of meat, vegetables, spices, and seasoning only found in the north. Somehow, it tasted so much better than anything he had ever tried, and he devoured it in less than 2 minutes.
Finn sighed a breath of relief, his stomach had finally stopped rumbling! That’s definitely going to be my go-to choice for my time here, he chuckled cheekily to himself. He let his food go down for a couple of minutes before finally leaving the cafeteria. Sure, he could stay there all day and try different foods and drinks, but he had other much more important things he wanted to do today. Mainly, check out the famous academy library! The Magyo Magic Academy was famous for many things, but one of the main reasons was its simply unparalleled library. The library held more knowledge and history than a single person could ever even begin to comprehend, and not only that, it held countless spells and detailed descriptions of magical appliances and weapons! He could study and learn of anything there, within his access level of course.
After asking a nearby smart-looking student for directions to the library, which he offered happily, Finn made his way toward the library. He took his time on the way, taking in all the details he had missed all around the academy, such as important landmarks or facilities he would almost definitely need in the future, before he eventually, after a long, relaxing sight-seeing walk arrived outside the library. Finn had to take a double take at the library building, he simply couldn’t comprehend how this shabby, wooden shack was the famed Magyo Magic Academy library.
“Hah,” he scoffed, “That boy must have played a trick on me, right?” he questioned with a dumbfounded expression.
He shook his head and was about to leave with a dismissive gesture before he caught a glance at a small wooden sign hanging above the dwarf-sized door labeling that it was in fact, the famous library that he had heard many magical things about. Finn’s face had a look of doubt as he stared at the shabby wooden shack once more, before finally shrugging and walking towards the door. If it really was the library, there must be some kind of magic at play, right?
What is there to lose? May as well check it out, he thought to himself.

I’m too lazy right now to write a whole essay on this. But I think we should take a moment to appreciate the technology of video calling in how it allows for global communication. Now it may seem like when video calling was introduced, it seemed like a nice novelty but was ultimately not as revolutionary as something like international mailing systems, or phones, or e-mail, or texting, or instant messaging. This makes sense with the common assumptions of the world that language is essentially entirely about words as deliberate symbols.
However, as Platonists we may be more keen to understand how language and communication is something a little richer and deeper than just the words that lay on the surface— how we inflect our sentences, how we choose words, the context in which things are said, and even the very subconscious and subtle expressions on our faces can all have an effect on what is communicated to us, as forms of language. Video chatting, out of anything invented before, is the only way that all of these conditions can be reached with someone on the other side of the globe.
Of course, the context aspect isn’t something video calling helps with, and instead requires that you actually know a person or know the particular circumstances fueling what they’re saying. But this has always possible with a loved one across the globe whom you may communicate with by letter, or phone, or otherwise. The ability to provide and receive context to one another was never much hindered by technological limitations, as long as this passage of context was displayed in some other way like with voluntarily shared words or a previous proximity shared between the two parties. Yet to know a loved one across the globe’s facially emotive contributions to your conversation, this was still impossible until video calls came along.
To be able to truly communicate with someone— not in the sense of some True Form of Comminication, but instead of a sense of how we have naturally always communicated with those proximally close to us, that is with all communicative tools at display, and not as some precontemplated and emotionally bereft set of symbols (words) that are expected to be analytically dissected— this sense of true communication finally became possible across the globe.

I think, if we constantly focus on obsessional doubt and possibility to stutter. Then incipient stuttering that might not be sufficiently noticeable, can turn into developed (aka severe) stuttering.

But in reality, it leads to imagining more doubts by seeking information we already know, rather than grounding us in reality
• reinforcing perceiving themselves to be abnormally error-prone, rather than accepting that their language and speech production capacity is mildly impaired
• reinforcing information that aligns with their existing beliefs while ignoring positive beliefs / consequences / evidence / the bigger picture

• Resulting in Anticipatory Struggle: Believing that speech is difficult, and immersing themselves in a subconscious image of themselves as a stutterer: if the stuttering stops for a long enough time, it is as if the subconscious becomes ‘worried’; it receives a message that the status quo is changing. The subconscious then tries to restore the status quo by increasing base-level tension. This higher base-level tension has a twofold effect: renewed stuttering, plus a disruption of the newly acquired fluent behavior. As a result the stutterer resumes his stuttering and the subconscious is ‘reassured’
• Stutterers may find it difficult to really come to terms with his new fluency achieved. If we speak fluently, we likely think: "But this isn’t me!". Because our mind/body wants to subconsciously get back to that old (and 'safe') self-image of ourselves stuttering. Then the mind/body might use all the tricks there is, such as, physiological arousal, or bringing us further from reality and more into stutter problem land. Focusing on obsessional doubt and possibility to stutter - is based on a good story, not on sense information or a sequence of events; We make the trigger more vivid, personal and meaningful - resulting in making the sensation of loss of control more real or giving it more credibility. Viewing triggers (or speech errors in the speech plan) as real/powerful rather than for what they are (just meaningless passing thoughts or feelings)

This answer might be yes for some people and no for others. Likely, 'yes' for most people who persist, I think.

Hi everyone. I've been dealing with some stuff that I've been surpressing up until recently, but that has made me lonely and I want things to change. I'm feeling pretty confused and thought this seemed like a good community to ask for advice.
To start, I am very into crossdressing. My interest started around puberty when I was 12-13. This is usually when people start thinking about sex and masturbation, and while at this point I never sought out sexual imagery intentionally, I realized that I was extremely aroused at the idea of myself dressed up in women's clothing. I never actually crossdressed in real life, but when I would masturbate I would mainly do it to imaging myself as female characters.
During this time, I considered myself straight. I was only attracted to girls in real life and I had never really thought much about sexuality. Plus due to my crossdressing kink I didn't really look at actual porn, and with the rare exception that I did it was straight stuff.
As I got older I did began looking at more porn, usually furry, animated, or softcore stuff since the dynamics of regular regular porn felt fake and even gross to me. It was around this time that I did come across a lot of gay porn while I browsed since that is pretty common in the furry community. A lot of it was femboy stuff. I sort of just scrolled past and had a mental rule that I "shouldn't" look at it, since I was straight.
This went on for a while until a year ago when I finally decided that was stupid, and realized that I was really turned on by feminine furry or animated guys. For the first time, I also told my therapist about my crossdressing fantasies. I still had never actually done it due to shame and embarrassment, but she reacted really kind and positively and made me understand there was nothing wrong with me for it. So I started crossdressing in real life, albeit mostly in a private sexual context. I was glad this didn't have to be a dark secret anymore, as it was contributing to my deep depression and other mental health issues.
With shame no longer as much of a barrier, I began to really explore this part of myself for the first time, and I looked at femboy stuff a lot more. A few times even real life images and they did turn me on.
With that being said, my expression of this stuff has only been in a solo or anonymous online context. I still feel very lonely and want a community I can be myself with or discuss this stuff in real life. But I don't know what to call myself. I feel I relate more to the LGBT/queer community more than the heterosexual world, and recently I wonder if I might be a part of it. But I worry if I would be intruding or an outsider - since I've mostly thought of myself as straight, and the guys I'm attracted to are only femboys and often usually drawn or animated, but not always. After a lot of thinking I don't think I'd be opposed to hooking up in real life but idk cause it's never happened. I'm still a virgin with no sexual or dating experience and have never really met guys who crossdress irl.
So what am I? What should I call myself? I know labels aren't everything but I think it would give me a sense of belonging and be easier to meet people if I had one, because the loneliness still hurts me. I went from never doubting I was straight to being curious if I'm bi-curious, idk why I struggle so much to just say if I am. My therapist encouraged me to reach out to somewhere like this to see if I can meet others who relate or understand, and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me.

Context: I just got a new pop-up camper and am relatively new to the battery world. The flooded deep cycle batteries that came with the RV were shot so I replaced them with what I thought was the appropriate battery.

The battery, AutoZone website, not the Duralast website list anything about this battery's amp hours.
The question (finally): are the amp hours not listed because this is a starting battery not be used for running standard RV features? Or just that the amp hours simply isn't listed?
I bought these fairly hastily as I have a trip coming up so I wouldn't be surprised if I bought the wrong thing. One would think a battery labeled for RV use would be usable for RV shit but now Inam second guessing myself since the amp hours isn't listed.

Or you are not good enough
I feel like I don't have any talents
And if I did have talents it's limited due to my Agoraphobia and Social Anxiety
and Panic Attacks Generalized Anxiety and Bipolar disorder I have
Feel like Capitalism kinda brutal
If you have a Disability which this issue is disabling
Makes me really sad
Just take the advice of my therapist and try not to dwell on it
Because if I do I probably wouldn't be alive right now . So I try to watch movies or listen to music
Or workout when I feel like that
Doesn't get rid of the feeling of not wanting to live
But it distracts me
Working out definitely does
It just my workout equipment really helps me
It's like having a support animal
Just feel like I'm not ready for a Service Animal or Support animal
I have difficulty leaving my house
And that wouldn't be fair to a animal if I couldn't take them outside to urinate or defecate
So I'm trying to wait until my condition improves so I can maintain another animal
Plus I live alone and don't have a wife or anything that would watch my Animal if I could not do it
Which Is not their responsibility it's mine since it's my animal
So working out at home really helps
I be scared of what my neighbors think
Because I literally tip-toe around my house which is not normal
Because I be scared I'm disturbing the neighbors
Even when I work out I have Silencer Pads that literally absorbed the vibration and sound of my weights
And I don't even drop my weights like a lot of people do
I don't Deadlift I only do bent over rows
And I gently put the weights on my silencer pads
When I lift dumbbells I don't drop my dumbbells on the floor
I gently put them down on my silencing pads
I squat lightly
I ride my cardio bike quietly
I bench press quietly
Just be scared my neighbors would complain
Even though I'm very gentle
And tip toe literally around my house
Because I be scared
I don't even play loud music
Like I have a neighbor that does play loud music
But he doesn't bother me
But I gently have on my noise cancelling headphones
But I'm scared because July 4th is coming up
And fireworks and Gunshots
I get nightmares and bad anxiety
Flashbacks of being shot at by my dad

A gunshot you feel vibrations a gun has more velocity and force

I remember you could get a 2 bedroom in a bad area for 700$ in 2006
On Simpson road you could get a 2 bedroom for 500$
But very run down and of course the bluff is across the street

The music scene Is okay

And TIP came out with I'm Serious
But I never liked the music scene
I was stuck On Outkast and the 90s East and West

I try to mute sounds if a gunshot scene comes

This really a big issue
But people don't see that when I have to mute my TV
They also don't see
When I have bad days

I try to get laughs in
Because laughter is natural medicine
To distract from the negative thoughts I have everyday
They don't see due to my meds
That have me very sleepy which I take at night.. but carries on to the next morning
Sometimes I wake up at 12 pm sometimes late as 5 pm
Seroquel just does that
Even I tried waking up early I end up going back to sleep
I literally have to take a pre workout supplement
Which has caffeine which makes my anxiety worse
Just to fight it the medicine
Like I workout it's the best medicine
Better than any Prescription drug I don't do recreational drugs
But it naturally gets rid of my anxiety while working out at home
Didn't work In a commercial gym.
Which this gym equipment saved my life
It really helps me
If I lose that I probably will kill myself
And I was at risk of Type 2 diabetes
And my blood work was off due to I couldn't work out since I didn't leave my house
And of Course mentally I got really depressed since I didn't have no coping mechanism
I be depressed Alot but working out helps me cope with the thoughts I have
And temporarily gets rid of my anxiety
But only last 1 hour post workout
And anxiety comes back
Some people think I'm on steroids
Which I think I'm small
But I can't keep a stable job
Plus steroids cost money
If I can barely afford food and amino acids
Which comes from protein and food
How can I afford steroids?
I never took a steroid
I don't even take creatine anymore
Because my kidneys
And I have health issues which my natural testosterone is ok

PRELUDE
A few Dynamites before All In – London, The EVPs of AEW, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson have an announcement. Inspired by the 2024 Paris Olympic games, where athletes from across the globe represent their nations, the EVPs want to hold a tournament for trios wrestling, but with teams representing their nations, not their personal allegiances or business.
The championship will be a tournament of trios matches, where team members will share the same nationality; originally or by heritage. All the matches will be scheduled to one fall, except the finals, that will be an elimination trios match.
Immediately after revealing the tournament, The Elite (Young Bucks & Jack Perry) name themselves the representatives of Team USA! Just to be interrupted by the BCC, disagreeing with that. Yuta, Mox and Danielson want a piece of that, so they’ll face next Collision to represent Team USA.
Meanwhile, other wrestlers come together preparing their teams to represent their nations in the Trios tournament, that’ll start after All Out. Some join together fast, others have matches to determine who’s joining the team. Tournament finals will be held at Wrestledream.

However, they lose a trios match against Top Flight w/Andretti. He beats them down, but comes Adam Copeland for the rescue! They join them to represent Team Canada. They now win a preparation match against Premier Athletes.
But Christian has an ace under the sleeve: he wants to recruit Adam Copeland! Put their differences aside and tag again… with a third member. Someone that’s back into action. KENNY OMEGA!Angelo Parker and Matt Menard aren’t happy about this, so they protest. They also have someone under their sleeve, an old friend: Chris Jericho!

Okada suffers an injury in ringside and the match is about to be stopped, but he fights his way into the ring to continue. Despite his injury he pulls an impressive effort, just like Rush wrestling a 1v2 for almost 20 minutes! Rush seems done for, but a masked man attacks Okada. It's MJF! He remembers his feud with Rush where the mexican earned his respect, and MJF is now feuding with Okada! Rush takes advantage of the situation and scores the win!

MEXICO WINS THE GOLD MEDAL!

Barely standing and gasping for air, Nathan takes a moment to stop running and realizes he has no idea where he is going. He begins looking around to see if there’s anywhere to hide or even, hopefully, find food or at least water. After a moment, he finally spots a few buildings in the nearby distance. With high hopes, Nathan sprints past the remaining trees ahead and makes it to the buildings. Only one specific building catches his eye. A large sign that reads GROCERY stares at Nathan from the top of the building. Without hesitation, he rushes inside and much to his amazement, there are aisles! Nathan quickly but quietly scans each aisle. Sadly, he sees nothing. Not until he sees a small pile of snacks lying next to a fallen end cap at the end of an aisle. Excitement dances through Nathan’s body as he runs to the food and begins eating it like a wild animal. He devours every ounce of food he finds until he suddenly hears an unnerving sound. Listening closely as possible, Nathan hears the sound of cracking bones and ripping flesh. Afraid, yet curious, he looks around the corner of the aisle and spots the legs of a woman lying in her own blood and entrails. Upon further inspection, Nathan sees what he believes to be the creature he and Charlie had seen before. It’s a large thin four-legged animal that most likely was a wolf at one point but is now just a beast. It’s feasting on the entrails of the woman’s corpse and refusing to take its taste buds away from its food. That is until it hears Nathan, who accidentally steps on a bag of chips. It swiftly averts its attention to Nathan and the sight of its face is terrifying. Its face is half torn and its eyes show exactly how bloodthirsty it is. With blood and entrails dangling from its teeth, the beast fully turns its body to Nathan and lets out a deep and disturbing growl. Believing this to be his final moments alive, Nathan backs up and stumbles into the wall with his eyes closed and fists clenched. He is ready for the reaper to take his soul. The beast closes in on him and readies itself to charge its prey but is suddenly distracted by the voice of unwanted company. “Heel, you stupid mutt!” It’s once again Subject Zero, who is this time covered in large amounts of blood. The beast diverts its attention to Subject Zero and prepares for a fight. Unsure as to why Subject Zero didn’t just let the beast kill him, Nathan, stands and stares in terrified confusion. As Nathan watches, Subject Zero is attacked by the beast after a failed attempt at taming it. Directly after its attack, the beast is grabbed and bashed against a wall then thrown to the floor. The animal, no longer looking like a beast compared to Subject Zero, stands again and viciously sinks its teeth into Subject Zero’s arm but its life is soon ended. With a large and swift pull on the animal’s rear legs with its teeth still bore into Subject Zero’s arm, its body rips apart and its entrails fall out onto the floor. “I knew you were a waste,” Subject Zero says with disappointment in his voice. Nathan quickly snaps back to reality and runs out the nearby emergency exit. No longer caring about hunger or thirst, he just keeps running and doesn’t stop even when he stumbles from exhaustion. Inevitably, any hope he once had, is lost when in the not so far distance he hears, “Just because the mutt didn’t kill you, that doesn’t mean that I won’t!” Still running further into the woods, Nathan begins to stumble. He finally stops and falls to his knees as he begins to believe he is going to die here. He falls onto his back and lies in the grass around him while releasing a long but relaxing sigh. Nathan can feel the cold hard ground beneath him as he looks up to the sky. Filled with raging guilt and regrets, Nathan stares up to the sky in silence. It gets so silent, he can hear everything around him. He hears the wind sing through the leaves of trees. He can even hear water flowing nearby. Water! Unsure of where, he looks up quickly and listens. Finally, he spots a creek nearby and climbs to his hands and knees. Unable to fully stand, Nathan crawls his way to the creek ignoring all of his surroundings. He reaches the creek and practically bathes himself in the near freezing water in an attempt to feel refreshed. Afterwards, he begins to guzzle the water in handfuls. After many handfuls of water, Nathan notices something odd. The water tastes metallic as if you were sucking on an old copper penny or silver spoon. Upon this realization, he also notices the color of the water seems off. Unsure of why, he looks around only to find something far more disturbing than he imagined. An amalgamation of mutilated corpses sit nearby rotting on the rocks of the creek shore. Realizing he had just drank water contaminated with rotting corpses of innocent people, Nathan starts getting a sick feeling in his stomach and attempts to look away but can’t get his eyes off the sight. Finally breaking, he begins gagging vigorously. He loses control and starts puking uncontrollably before ultimately collapsing from pain and disgust. Nathan finally gets up after lying on the ground for a moment. Hoping to find at least some form of shelter, he manages to get himself up to his aching feet and stumbles his way down the creek. Eventually, he reaches the end of the creek where a large pipe is sticking out from the ground at an angle. The pipe, being large enough to fit a man, seems like a perfect place to shelter in. Before fully deciding to sleep there, Nathan looks inside hoping that it may lead to an exit from the dome but is quickly disappointed when he sees only dirt and mud. Nathan no longer cares and decides to climb into the pipe. He manages to make it an adequate resting area. Soon after, he is unable to keep his eyes open and finally falls asleep. “Nathan, wake up. You’re going on live television.” A very familiar voice whispers to Nathan. He opens his eyes expecting to see different surroundings, but instead, he sees Charlie sitting next to him in an unfamiliar building. Obviously confused, Nathan hesitates to even move but decides to go with it. He’s led out to a room with a male interviewer, revealing that he is on a live television interview. The interviewer looks to the camera and says, “Welcome to TalkTime, I’m your host, Tim Wiesly, and today, we have Nathan White. Just in case you don’t know, Nathan is a brilliant reporter and reports anything in the most brilliant ways. One specific story he covered about his near-death experience is what we would like to talk about today. So, Nathan, could you tell the viewers more about your experience?” Nathan hesitates at first but oddly starts believing that he made it out of the hell he was in and just dissociated. He starts telling the interviewer everything that happened to him. “Well, Tim, for starters, my colleague and I had found evidence that Envirodome was a test facility. Little did we know, one test they ran there was still in the facility after decades. We then found all the missing people over the years but they were unfortunate and passed away at the hands of the facilities test subject. I eventually lost my colleague and had a run in with a rabid animal as well but I got away and managed to find a place to sleep. After that, I climbed out and decided to… to…” Nathan stops in his tracks as he realizes he can’t remember what happened after the tunnel. “Wait. Wait, this can’t be real. I vividly remember Charlie going insane. And all those other people started losing their minds and they all started killing each other. I remember all that, yet I can’t remember a damn thing after falling asleep in that tunnel! What the fuck is going on?” Charlie comes running out and attempts to calm Nathan but fails as Nathan screams back. “You’re dead! You’re fucking dead! I know you are! You aren’t real. None of you, none of this! None of it is real!” Soon after realizing everything is fake, all of Nathan’s surroundings start changing. Everything around him becomes morbidly dark and people become mutated corpses, all of which walk over to him. They all start screaming at Nathan, resulting in him breaking and he loses his mind to the brink of insanity. Out of the dark shadows, Subject Zero walks into the area as if he were a dark god who created him and was ready to destroy him. Suddenly, everyone surrounding Nathan abruptly stops screaming and looks at him. Then they all in perfect sync say, “You’re losing control, Nathan.” Nathan angrily stands tall and yells, “Leave me alone!” After this fierce scream with his eyes shut, Nathan suddenly hears nothing but the sound of running water. He opens his eyes only to find he was still in the town under the dome. Only, now, it is somehow nighttime. Suddenly, he’s startled by the sound of splashing water. Nathan quietly looks up from the inside of the tunnel he’s lying in. In a decent distance away, Nathan sees two mannequins throwing multiple bodies into the already corpse-filled creek. Although, one body stands out amongst the rest. Charlie's. His body is mangled and mutilated. Nathan feels sick and guilty as he stares at his dead friend. Soon, Subject Zero’s voice is heard, resulting in Nathan realizing he needs to sneak out of the area. He quickly climbs out of the tunnel and looks around. He decides his best option is to go in one direction until he hopefully reaches an edge of the dome. He believes it may help him reach the overseer’s office where the self-destruct button is. With his new plan, Nathan quietly sneaks away until he accidentally rams into the edge of the dome. He becomes angry at first for being dumb enough to run into it, but eventually realizes he could be on his way to salvation. Nathan, still tired, stumbles around the edge of the dome and looks strange considering the walls are simulated to look like more land. Even though Nathan can barely handle all the stress, he still forces himself to keep moving with high hopes to avenge his deceased friend. He keeps going until he stumbles over a small brush pile. He falls onto his face and notices blood pouring from his nose. Assuming his nose has broken from the fall, Nathan quickly checks it but oddly there is no pain and the bleeding has already stopped. He’s confused but doesn’t care as he’s determined to escape. He gets up and eventually reaches an odd looking spot of the dome wall. With a closer look, he realizes it’s a door. Full of hope, Nathan quickly opens it and discovers a staircase leading to the overseer’s office. Nathan runs up without hesitation. He reaches the top of the stairs and makes it to the controls. Being dark, Nathan feels around for a light switch but as he thinks it, the lights come on. Now with light, he sees papers lying everywhere, all with information of the dome. Apparently, the government had the technology to make all this without ever letting the public know. It was built with a self-destruct button as safety measures if anything within the dome went horribly wrong. Although Nathan thought it would be an explosion as most self-destruct buttons cause, the dome was made to disassemble itself as it counted down, allowing the slight possibility of reaching the only entrance and exit doors of the facility. Nathan realizes he may actually have a chance to escape this hell and avenge his friend. After a small pause, he gets back to searching for the self-destruct button. He stumbles across a glass casing labeled ‘FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY’. Nathan opens the casing and prepares to press the button but is quickly distracted as a voice breaks the silence. “This place hasn’t been real after all these damned years?” Subject Zero reacts angrily as he slowly walks toward Nathan. “I knew this place seemed a bit small, but now that I know I can get out of here, I’ll bring my tests to the whole damn world!” “Why would you even want that?! Every single test you have done with that fucking serum has been a failure!” “No… No, I’ve perfected my serum.” “What the FUCK do you mean?” Without a single other word, Subject Zero rushes toward Nathan. Nathan quickly reacts and raises his arms in defense. Suddenly, Subject Zero flies backwards as if he was shoved with incredible force. They both now know Nathan was the cause. “That. That is what I mean.” Subject Zero says with a grin on his face. “No, no, what the fuck. How?!” “You really think I didn’t take the opportunity to inject a new version of the serum into you.” “But- but there wasn’t an injection hole. Everyone else had one.” “That’s the great thing about it. I perfected it so much that your healing is far greater than even mine AND you didn’t lose your mind like I did. That’s all I ever wanted…” “Screw you…” Nathan clenches his fist and swings a punch at Subject Zero. Realizing things move just from his thought now, Nathan opens his hand and telekinetically throws things at Subject Zero. The two begin to have an all-out super powered brawl as Subject Zero explains to Nathan that the serum is why every pain he’s felt while in the dome went away nearly immediately. The telekinesis just happened to come into play later on. Then suddenly, Nathan is slammed through and out the overseer’s office windows. Subject Zero jumps down onto him. Nathan gets weaker with each hit he takes but still fights on. Before he gets up, he notices that where the broken window is, the walls show their true colors of concrete gray and glass. Aside from the window, Nathan notices the door to the office is still wide open. He quickly gives Subject Zero a powerful kick to his abdomen and jumps up to run. Nathan runs quickly up the stairs and to the self-destruct button after leaving his enemy on the ground outside. As he reaches the button, Nathan looks out the broken window at Subject Zero and prepares to press the button. Nathan slams his hand onto the button as Subject Zero yells out in hatred. Nathan, expecting something to happen, waits. Subject Zero laughs hysterically but then suddenly is cut off by a loud voice projecting across the whole dome. “COMMENCING SELF-DESTRUCTION SEQUENCE.” Nathan notices Subject Zero is distracted and uses this as his chance to escape. 10, 9, 8…… The countdown begins and the sun begins to rise as Nathan runs out of the office and past the unaware Subject Zero. 7, 6, 5…… The countdown continues and the facility begins to collapse as Nathan passes through the woods where he drank from the creek and soon passes the concrete room where the other people were held captive. 4, 3, 2…… The countdown gets closer to an end as the dome collapses quicker and Nathan rushes past the old house he was stuck in before. Soon enough, he gets onto the road that led him and Charlie to the town inside the dome and gets even closer to the door but suddenly Subject Zero is following behind. This time, he’s so angry and determined, Subject Zero uses his telekinetic powers to control the mangled corpses that he’s kept. He’s headed for either the door or Nathan, but Nathan doesn’t care. 1…… The countdown comes to an end and the entire dome collapses above. Subject Zero, far behind with his army of corpses, stops and accepts what is coming but Nathan keeps running in hopes to escape before the weight of a million tons comes crashing down onto him. Soon enough, the dome becomes nothing but rubble. The entire area where the dome once stood, is now a ginormous pile of rubble and all that stands are a few trees and small bits of buildings. Nothing could have lived from inside. Unless you were close to the doors. Nathan, barely standing or even really alive, stumbles around the rubble. With his new powers, he uses his telekinesis to move a large piece of steel revealing a small group of men nearby. Within this group are a couple of men who are clearly scientists of some sort but the others are clearly military. Nathan runs to them with hopes of help but suddenly… “Stop right there!” One of the men yells out angrily but with a quiver in his voice. “Put your heads above your head and don’t speak!” “Wait! I just need help!” “I said put your hands above your head!” Nathan is confused so he looks around in the hopes that maybe Subject Zero is who he spotted. Sadly, the guns are all being aimed straight for him.

Going forward: * Stories involving Solar Girl, the Solarian, and Moonshine will only be canonical if they're published under the Pick-n-Μix Comix label. Same goes for almost everything else, but I've had a special thorn in my side dealing with all the pre-Pick-n-Mix stuff and what I want to do with it in regards to what is or isn't part of the overall canon and continuity, so it's important to point this part out first now that I've figured it out. * The content once belonging to the story-cycles of Supergirls In The Spotlight and The New Adventures Of Solar Girl is now going to be under the Lethericon Books label, which means they're non-canonical to everything in the current stable. * Everything under Lethericon Books is going to be a different format than the Pick-n-Mix Comix stuff. I wrote a lot of different, sometimes slower-paced and less adventurous stuff before I started finalizing the format I wanted for the main continuity and they've been in a really weird limbo of canon, but now they're under this label because that's what it's for. This'll be slower-paced, literary, chapter-by-chapter, less-focused, often very introspective, experimental storylines and extra stuff that are related to the main canon but are not themselves canonical; so, AUs like the Comix universe (a coming-of-age story I've been working on now and then where Grace and Gallo are in high school together — obviously completely incompatible with current canon, for a number of reasons), older stories like Supergirls In The Spotlight that don't fit current formatting standards for what is now the canonical works of Pick-n-Mix (and, at least in that one's case, is reprinted from much older work anyway, so nothing new in regards to new content there), and literary or prose outings (like copies of Certain Kinds Of Sadness and The Lethericon). * (For reference, those last two are just older, introspective art pieces I worked on a long time ago and have no real other place to go — I might put them up for pay at some point, but I just don't know. In any case, Certain Kinds is a bunch of super pretentious "poetry" a different version of me I knew once wrote a long time ago, while The Lethericon is the basis for the imprint's name — a dictionary and glossary of neologisms and new words I made up, and occasionally still contribute to sometimes, and their associated definitions and intended usages. So, just fun, meaningless artsy pieces; nothing related to the Pick-n-Mix adventures, but at a more ruminatory period in my life, it felt worthwhile to explore those things.)
Some additional notes: * I know who Moonshine is now! This has been another thorn in the development of workable Solar Girl stories since the very first iteration of Supergirls In The Spotlight, because I wanted Moonshine to be Solar Girl's best friend and sidekick but the dynamic and civilian identities I made for her never caught on and it kept changing with every new draft of the storyline, so often that I never had one single, consistent origin and identity for her. But, I've been developing stories for the Pick-n-Mix core for Solarian/Solar Girl continuity — an ongoing called Solarian Comix, which I'll talk about momentarily, or in its own post — and things have aligned so that the new, 100% canonical version is more or less set in stone now. * As expected, this was one of the reasons I decided to pull prior storyline outings out of canon entirely and render Supergirls In The Spotlight and The New Adventures Of Solar Girl non-canon. The version of Moonshine in those stories was Caitlin Deckard, a friend of Sarah Gardner's from school, the daughter of a previous generation's superheroes (who are nonexistent in the current Pick-n-Mix canon), and she's a very difficult, emotionally-troubled character — but I've since incorporated a version of Moonshine into the Pick-n-Mix version of Inglenook's history as a major operator during the canonical 'Lonum Wars, after which she moves to Spotlight City and eventually teams up with Solar Girl — meaning, of course, that not only are Inglenook and Spotlight City connected, but that Moonshine has to be much older than Solar Girl by default now and that I have a fairly solid timeline to connect events in Spotlight City too, referencing back to crossover events where their world connects to Inglenook and the Other Realms. * This was the final deciding factor in decanonizing the previous Solar Girl stuff. Supergirls In The Spotlight and The New Adventures Of Solar Girl are set on Earth, which doesn't exist in the Other Realms. I'm very adamant about this; which meant, of course, that any canonical crossovers between Inglenook stories and those Solar Girl stories are functionally impossible. I tried to do a storyline in New Adventures to fix this — the whole series was meant to connect Supergirls into current continuity, actually — but it just didn't work because of the fundamental origins of the setting. So, they had to go.
So, current canon: * Everything under the Pick-n-Mix label is canon. Supergirls In The Spotlight and The New Adventures Of Solar Girl are not. One version is set in the fictional Spotlight City on Earth in 2012 and 2024; the canonical version (that is, the version that slots in with everything else I'm building in the unified Pick-n-Mix universe, which mostly serves to adapt and standardize all this stuff into one overarching canon specifically for this reason and purpose) is a completely isolated, standalone city. * This version of Spotlight City is floating through space, kind of like the space colony of Terra Venture in Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy or the colony of Solaris in Jason X (which we never see the surface of, but we might remember its iconic destruction when Jason causes the archaeological ship Grendel to crash into it and destroy the whole thing). Every Other Realm has its own gimmick, though, so they all have funky origins and they're all tied together; New Galatée from a serial I'm working on called Milk was created when folks from the Inglish nation of Galatée decided to live without association to the Kingdom and left for a brand new realm, for instance. * This means fun stuff like Spotlight City gets brand new historical stuff and its own worldbuilding now! And there can be one solid timeline, one central set of origin stories that are absolutely canon (since that also changed for each draft of the story I've been working on, especially for Solar Girl and Moonshine), and lots of crossovers between realms without being too confusing or introducing multiversal counterparts or anything. (EG, the Solarian can now appear in Inglenook sometimes, and Dr Connector and Captain Mytho can show up in Spotlight City, and it'll all be pretty much continuous and canonical, no worries, easy as. Simple.)
Final notes about the Pick-n-Mix stuff: * Moonshine is Sarah's friend, still, but she's older. They're not in the same age bracket anymore, but kind of split the difference and cover both brackets previous versions have straddled. Here, Sarah (who is still Solar Girl, although not the first Solar Girl) is a high schooler attending New Dawn High School; Moonshine is Margaret Deckard, who works as a janitor at New Dawn and is in her late 30s, meaning Solarian Comix is set sometime in the late 80s, at the very least. (Note: this is the Inglenook version of the 80s, not ours. Timelines across the Other Realms are usually in sync, unless I need them not to be, and there are some aesthetic similarities, but Inglenook and the Other Realms are still fantasy worlds, so it's a brand new 80s and not ours.) Margaret and Sarah are kind of the weirdos at the school, obviously, and Sarah likes Margaret's vibe so she ended up befriending her and they have a weird friendship. At the start of their timeline, Margaret is not Moonshine — but, she was. * Before coming to Spotlight City, Margaret lived and grew up in the Kingdom of Inglenook. Urban fantasy, magic, superheroes, all that fun stuff. From 1968 to 1972, Inglenook got involved in the realm of Carillon, a parallel world home to the corvics (crow-people) and a store of scale oil that was useful to the Silvani people. Inglenook established the colony Oiltown there under Queen Charlotte's purview, but eventually it was discovered that the oil they were drilling had been infected by a nearly-indestructible black goo called the Black Regard, forcing Inglenook's hand. Things erupted, and the 'Lonum Wars started — lots of heroes and members of the Royal Protectorate participated, either by choice or by draft. Jack Scorcher of the Legendeers (although not at that time) was one of them; Margaret Deckard, operating under the name Moonshine, was another. * During this time frame, Moonshine was partners with Nightwalk, a shadow caster who died during the war, leaving Margaret deeply traumatized, along with everything else that happened. Once the war was over, she sought to retire from operations as a masked persona, especially given what she was involved in while she was in Carillon, and so eventually moved to Spotlight City to put everything behind her. * No one knew her in Spotlight City, so she's just Margaret Deckard now. But, in the first few origin stories as depicted in Solarian Comix, her friendship with Sarah Gardner puts this retirement at risk — Sarah becomes the new Sunbearer, Solar Girl, and accidentally creates her foil and initial arch-nemesis, Socialighter, from a rival girl at school. Their fight drags Margaret into things, and Sarah eventually discovers her friend's secret history while cleaning up Margaret's attic. Finally, they're able to be spun off into the title Solar Girl & Moonshine, obviously set in the same continuity — I'm still working out the focal details and central storyline gimmicks for it, but it should be focused heavily on this stuff, and on exploring Moonshine's history in Inglenook especially — and things continue and carry on from there. * (This "found in the attic" storyline was brought in from one of the many possible origins for Solar Girl, incidentally; where the idea was, she'd find a box including the solar crystals, the suit, and the pixie Flare in her mother's apartment, discover her mother either was supposed to be Solar Girl, and take up the identity herself. And what other titles are being worked on? * Solarian Comix is one of the many ongoing titles I'm developing for Pick-n-Mix Comix, a line of serials adapting all my content and intellectual property into one solid canon, for easy digestion and continuity purposes. They're all in the format of issue-by-issue comic titles — sometimes miniseries, sometimes ongoings, sometimes graphic novels, etc. This one is all about Spotlight City, one of the Other Realms floating through space, protected by an artificial sun that gives the Sunbearers their power. The previous Sunbearer was the Solarian; the current one is Solar Girl. Solarian Comix is something of an anthology that jumps throughout the city's timeline, telling stories in recurring features about the Solarian, Solar Girl, and other characters and heroes throughout the city's history, since there's so much content to cover. Regular features include The Sensational Solar Girl, focusing on Solar Girl's rise to power; Silver-Age Solarian, focusing on the Solarian in Spotlight City's "Silver Age" (likely lasting from the 40s to the late 70s or so); and a bunch of other headliners, such as features centered around the realm-hopping witch Hexcellence, the living glitch Glitchboard, the light-manipulating Emerald Flash and Mock Mirage, and so on. * Related titles currently include Solar Girl & Moonshine, Solar Girl: Meanwhile, and Glitchboard: Tales From The Geistmaschine, which are standalone and aren't published in the chapters and pages of Solarian Comix, but do spin off from them.

Each issue is a multi-chapter story, with the first issue in progress, depicting Grace's first several days in Grimshaw — her discovery of the place, her fight with the Spring-Heeled Ripper, her meeting with Gallo Belgrave, and more. It comes as it comes, so it'll be finished at some point, and there are obviously a hundred more and then some storylines planned for future issues, so it'll keep me writing for quite a while. * Help! The Monsters Are Lost Here Too. The period is part of the title, yes. This one's a dungeon-crawler isekai-style story about the new character of Jaden Crofter, who becomes trapped in the Bridgery, a liminal and parallel dungeon world, and discovers that — not only is it filled with weird, strange monsters beyond the imagination — but that it's also trapping the monsters there just like him. So, pretty simple. He teams up with a knight from another world called Sydney Storm, and they get the heck out of there. Not much of it is written currently, but there are some worldbuilding notes and potential excerpts available if you like getting an eye into the behind-the-scenes writing and development process for serials like this. * Idyllville Mysteries, which is largely being reworked into Idyllville Mystery Theater, was an early attempt at an ongoing. This one was an anthology that told short vignettes about the city of Idyllville in Inglenook, and was originally exclusive to redditserials here on Reddit (posted using a corporate account I might continue using for Pick-n-Mix stuff, but maybe not). It's still archived on AO3, but because it doesn't fit current formatting standards, it's being heavily retooled and the original ongoing is basically cancelled. Some useful bits of plot details in those tales, though, and writing it helped me work through some stuff at the time while I was writing it, so I wouldn't be here if I hadn't been there. Thought it was worth mentioning, at least.

I wrote a lot of different, sometimes slower-paced and less adventurous stuff before I started finalizing the format I wanted for the main continuity and they've been in a really weird limbo of canon, but now they're under this label because that's what it's for. This'll be slower-paced, literary, chapter-by-chapter, less-focused, often very introspective, experimental storylines and extra stuff that are related to the main canon but are not themselves canonical; so, AUs like the Comix universe (a coming-of-age story I've been working on now and then where Grace and Gallo are in high school together — obviously completely incompatible with current canon, for a number of reasons), older stories like Supergirls In The Spotlight that don't fit current formatting standards for what is now the canonical works of Pick-n-Mix (and, at least in that one's case, is reprinted from much older work anyway, so nothing new in regards to new content there), and literary or prose outings (like copies of Certain Kinds Of Sadness and The Lethericon). * (For reference, those last two are just older, introspective art pieces I worked on a long time ago and have no real other place to go — I might put them up for pay at some point, but I just don't know. In any case, Certain Kinds is a bunch of super pretentious "poetry" a different version of me I knew once wrote a long time ago, while The Lethericon is the basis for the imprint's name — a dictionary and glossary of neologisms and new words I made up, and occasionally still contribute to sometimes, and their associated definitions and intended usages. The version of Moonshine in those stories was Caitlin Deckard, a friend of Sarah Gardner's from school, the daughter of a previous generation's superheroes (who are nonexistent in the current Pick-n-Mix canon), and she's a very difficult, emotionally-troubled character — but I've since incorporated a version of Moonshine into the Pick-n-Mix version of Inglenook's history as a major operator during the canonical 'Lonum Wars, after which she moves to Spotlight City and eventually teams up with Solar Girl — meaning, of course, that not only are Inglenook and Spotlight City connected, but that Moonshine has to be much older than Solar Girl by default now and that I have a fairly solid timeline to connect events in Spotlight City too, referencing back to crossover events where their world connects to Inglenook and the Other Realms. * This was the final deciding factor in decanonizing the previous Solar Girl stuff.
