Six Feet Under was originally formed as a side project by Cannibal Corpse frontman Chris Barnes that became his full-time commitment after he was dismissed from Cannibal Corpse in 1995. Barnes helped elevate Cannibal Corpse with his super low brutal gutturals that helped lay the groundwork for the Brutal Death Metal sub-subgenre. Despite being a genuinely great vocalist in his Cannibal Corpse days, Barnes today has a reputation for being one of the worst vocalists in all of metal, with his trademark eeeee screeches being heavily memed on. Is his vocals really that bad or they some kind of Avent-Garde choice most are too peasant to understand? Yeah no they just suck. I’m not gonna even pretend as a bit.
Amputator amputates any chance this album has of starting off with a bang. The instruments are solid and have a nice groove but there sounds like there is some muddiness to the guitar that makes it it feel like bleeds into the other sounds, its not nearly enough to ruin the track, that’s Barnes’ job, but its a noticeable negative. Barnes sounds tired and exhausted, grunting out his vocals with all the enthusiasm of an oil rig worker that just got done with a 12 hour shift now being asked to do the dishes. He ends the track with one of his trademark “eeeees.” There is a solo that goes nowhere and adds nothing.
The only things i remember about Zodiac is Barnes grunting “Zodiac” over and over. I’m typing this right after listening too.
The Rotting has the gall to start with one of Barnes’ eeees, probably the worst song so far just because of how much he uses the eees here. At least it has a passable solo and instrumentals.
Death will Follow opens with a nice bouncy riff that is pretty much immediately tanked by more Barnes. He even throws in the brief “e” yet, to the point where i wonder why he chooses to use them. How does someone who was so good once listen to this shit and still think he sounds good? And what is the though process behind why some “eeeees” are long and earsplitting, short and earsplitting, or just normal tired e’s? I might be going insane just thinking about this. The song eventually ends on a fade out.
The next song is named Migraine which i suppose is probably what the album is trying to inflict on its listeners.. Honestly this one is just boring bad, the riffs aren’t bad but they don’t add much. They’ve almost got a little bit of stoner metal texture on the guitar tone that is solid. For some reason Barnes is quieter in the mix than normal. Still sounds bad.
The Noose is the best and worst track on the album. If you’ve heard a track from this album its this one. Its got the best riffs by far, but it makes the mistake of not only still featuring Barnes, but also making him the emphasis of several parts of the song. The guitar will go quiet at several sections to spotlight Barnes’s monotone, spent vocals. “The body just twitches eeeeeeeeee, The Noose.” If you haven’t given this one a listen and are looking for one song to experience, this is the one.
Barnes sounds faint in the mix again in Blood of the Zombie. The riffs are pretty solid too, so the combination of the two makes this one of the better songs. We also get a decent bass driven bridge. Just wish Barnes would shut the fuck up. The solo feels like it goes somewhere this time.
Self imposed Death Sentence is song. Its a cymbol that sounds like its echoing through and some riffs and more worn out Barnes vocals. Sorry if that feels lazy but i’m tired of putting in more effort than Barnes.
Dead Girls don’t Scream has some gross incel fantasy lyrics that are surely just done for shock value but i’m already disgusted at the quality of music so i might as well be disgusted at the lyrics too.
Drink Blood get High is probably the best riffs after The Noose but you’d actually have to drink blood and get high to enjoy Barnes’ vocal performance.
No i’m not enjoying the ride Chris, listening to your vocals feels like its own Labyrinth of Insanity. This one has two solos which is nice cause it means less Barnes.
Barnes didn’t even have the decency to let this last one be instrumental, fuck off. Another solid set of riffs but shit vocals. He throws in a few eeee’s as one last headache inducing parting gift.
So yeah Nightmares of the Decomposed is solid instrumental tracks with some dogshit vocals. Could be a 3-3.5 star album if they had a good vocalist, but they don’t. So 1 out of 5. What do you think of Six Feet Under? What should i review next? Let me know down below

The day of the G1 Cosmic Tenkaichi dawned upon Brightmoon, gathering everyone as per Juliet's request. Finn broke the silence, unable to contain their curiosity. "So, Juliet, what's the big deal? Why did you summon us all here?" Juliet and Adora exchanged knowing smiles before Adora spoke up. "We've got some important matters to discuss, folks. First off, our team needs a name. And since we're proudly representing both Etheria and Eternia, we shall be known as... Team Grayskull!"
In response, Glimmer conjured a box, revealing a collection of jackets adorned with a fierce fanged lightning bolt emblem. "Damn, these jackets are seriously awesome!" exclaimed Iyexi. Angella rolled her eyes and chimed in, "I swear, the slang of your generation is beyond me, Iyexi."
Micah, seeking to comfort Angella, interjected, "You know, it's quite peculiar how close the son of She-Ra and the daughter of Hordak have become."
Meanwhile, Juliet was busy inspecting the bracket on her tracker pad when Catra approached her abruptly. "Hey, Juliet, let me see that bracket!" demanded the magicat, lacking any manners.
Juliet obliged, turning the tablet towards Catra, who was taken aback by what she saw. On the bracket, there was a gray magicat bearing short red hair and piercing green feline eyes.
"Her name's Kazari, and it seems she's running solo," Juliet revealed.
"Gods above, the resemblance is uncanny! But nah, it couldn't be..." Catra muttered, her disbelief evident.
Juliet, noticing the exchange, inquired, "Is there a problem?"
Before the conversation could delve deeper, Catra was struck by a fit of coughing, though fortunately, no hairballs were expelled this time. Falling to her knees, Catra found herself joined by Adora, concern etched across her face. "Don't worry, Adora. I'm fine," Catra assured her, rising to her feet.
Just then, Finn burst into the room, interrupting the tense moment. "Moms, is everything okay? It's time to head out for the tournament!" they announced.
Adora nodded in affirmation. "Right, go warm up Darla!"
Finn acknowledged the command and hurried off to prepare Darla, their anticipation mounting.
About an hour later...
Glimmer gazed out of the bay window, her voice filled with determination. "Alright, everyone. We're just a couple of minutes away. I have one final piece of advice for you all: FIGHT HARD! HAVE FUN! KEEP YOUR EYES CLEAR AND YOUR HEARTS FULL! AND REMEMBER, WE CAN'T LOSE!" Bow placed a calming hand on Glimmer's shoulder. "Take it easy, Glimmer," he reassured her. Finn's voice cut through the tension. "We've arrived!" they announced.
Team Grayskull rushed to the windows, their eyes widening as they took in the sight before them. The stadium stood vast and vibrant, with seats filling up quickly. At one end, a massive stage reminiscent of a grand concert awaited, its ramp stretching all the way down to the ring. On the canvas, a yin-yang symbol was prominently displayed.
As Darla touched down, Adora led the way, followed closely by the rest of the team. "Come on, Finn. Let's find Rohan!"
"Hey, Finn! Aunt Adora!" a voice called out.
"Well, looks like we won't have to search for long," Adora remarked.
A boy around Finn's age stood just a few feet away. He sported a lavender headband that held back his long red hair, a trait inherited from his mother, Teela. Not far behind him were King Adam and Queen Teela.
Adora, despite her changes over the years, retained her jock-like demeanor and lack of grace. Spotting Adam, she couldn't contain her enthusiasm. "ADAM!" she exclaimed, launching herself at her brother and planting a wet, sloppy kiss on his cheek. Teela and Catra swiftly intervened, pulling Adora away. Adam simply chuckled and said, "Good to see you too, Adora."
Rohan raised an eyebrow. "Mom, Dad seems to be taking that quite well," he commented. Teela rolled her eyes. "Not surprised. Adora once proclaimed, in front of gods and everyone, that apart from Bow, Adam was the only man she'd go straight for..."
Retro Adora approached the twins, breaking the moment. "As much as I hate to interrupt this lovely reunion, we should probably head to the locker room."
"Hey, other Adora," Adam greeted.
Retro Adora nodded in greeting just as three women approached the trio of warriors. "Wow, you're She-Ra, He-Man, and the other She-Ra!" one of them exclaimed.
"We're like your biggest fans! Will you sign our... uh, autographs?" The three women simultaneously lifted their shirts, revealing an array of ample bosoms in various shapes and sizes. Adam gasped, while Adora, true to her jock-like nature, spewed a spray of blood in surprise. Retro Adora maintained her composure slightly better, but being an Adora herself, she couldn't help but drool like a dog on a scorching summer day as she signed her name, remarking, "I just love being me!"
In the locker room...
Kazari paced back and forth, her nerves getting the best of her. Artemy and Pigeon tried to offer some comfort. "Take a deep breath, Kazari. You'll exhaust yourself before your first match," Artemy advised.
"Yeah, try to relax and have fun out there," Pigeon added.
Kazari nodded, taking their words to heart. Just then, Team Grayskull entered the locker room. While Kazari was briefly distracted, Adora and Catra stole glances at the magicat. However, Finn approached Kazari, breaking the silence.
"Hey, I'm Finn. She-Ra's offspring. Good luck out there," they said, extending a hand.
"Thanks, Finn. If you make it to the finals, I'd be honored to take you on!" Kazari replied, winking playfully.
Before the conversation could progress further, Adora swiftly pulled Finn away, leaving Kazari confused.
"All competitors, please report to the main stage for the opening ceremony!"
The Main Stage...
All the tournament teams stood on their pedestals, each adorned with their respective logos. The announcer took hold of the microphone, gesturing toward the teams. "Welcome, one and all, to the 8th Annual G1 Cosmic Tenkaichi. Let's give a warm welcome to the teams who will be battling for supremacy!" The Princess Alliance had secured seats in the skybox as the teams were introduced one by one.
"Representing Planet Zachin, it's Team Junga!"
"From Planet Cimexxo, give it up for Team Thunderstruck!"
"Making their presence known from Planet Panjax, let's hear it for Team Gingas!"
"Representing Planet Sahars, put your hands together for Team Corona!"
"From Planet Shuddah, it's Team Express!"
"Hailing from Planet Santhex, give a round of applause for Team Thenia!"
"Coming straight from Planet Primus, let's welcome Team XeXalla!"
"And representing both Etheria and Eternia, give a thunderous roar for Team Grayskull!"
Team Grayskull waved to the excited crowd, Finn chiming in, "Wow, they're really into us. Let's put on a show, everyone!"
"And lastly, fighting unaffiliated, all the way from our very own Planet Xisaeus, it's Kazari!"
If the uproar from the crowd was any indication, Kazari being the hometown fighter had surely stirred their enthusiasm.
"While the teams prepare, please enjoy the opening ceremony!"
Adora let out a sigh, retrieving her tablet. As she glanced at the match card, one particular pairing struck her to the core.
Round 1, Match 1:
Team Grayskull's
ARCHER (He/Him)
vs.
Kazari (She/They)
It was time for the first match of the tournament.
Archer burst onto the stage, absorbing the sight of the massive crowd before him, exuding confidence inherited from his mother, Glimmer. Adora held Catra's hand as Archer struck a pose, triggering alternating bursts of pyrotechnics from either side of the stage. Adora tensed at the sudden explosions, but Bow and Glimmer offered a reassuring squeeze. "It's alright, Adora. It's just pyro," Bow reassured her. Adora managed to calm down, with Bow and Glimmer cheering on their son as he made his way down the ramp.
Now in the ring, it was Kazari's turn to make her entrance.
Kazari exuded even more energy as the thirteen-year-old magicat jogged back and forth on the stage before
heading down the ramp. Midway, she stopped and locked eyes with Archer, striking a pose that unleashed a massive stream of pyrotechnics.
Micah glanced at Catra and Adora, voicing his thoughts. "There's something... off about that kid. I can't quite put my finger on it."
"I don't know, but the resemblance is uncanny. We'll have to keep an eye on her," Catra responded. Adora remained silent, her gaze fixed on Kazari as she entered the ring. The ring announcer grabbed the microphone.
"Ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary individuals, this match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, representing Team Grayskull... Archer! And their opponent, fighting unaffiliated, Kazari!"
After a brief pause, the bell rang, signaling the start of the match. Archer swiftly teleported behind Kazari, aiming a punch at her back, but Kazari landed on her hand and countered with a mule kick. Archer teleported out of harm's way just in time.
Now standing face to face, Archer wore a smug grin while Kazari seemed unfazed. "Alright, Archer," Kazari said, a hint of excitement in her voice. "I'm glad we're paired up. I need the opportunity to practice these powers!"
Archer appeared perplexed. "Powers? What powers?" he inquired. His question was soon answered as Kazari's fist glowed with a dull green and purple aura. Before Archer could react, he found himself on the receiving end of a powerful uppercut, knocking him out cold. Kazari swiftly pinned his shoulders to the mat, and the referee began the count. "1... 2... 3!"
"With that, Kazari secures her first win of the day. Let's see if Team Grayskull can bounce back against Team Junga!"
Glimmer clenched her teeth in frustration, but Bow offered a comforting squeeze. "It's alright, Glimmer. Our son is much stronger than that. Right now, he needs our support."
In the infirmary...
Archer sat with an ice pack pressed against his head, surrounded by Finn and the Best Friend Squad. Bow offered reassurance, saying, "Don't worry, Archer. You did a great job!"
Finn chimed in, determined and confident. "Yeah, we'll get the win in our next match. We've got this!"
Adora kept her distance, lost in thought. The energy she felt from Kazari earlier... it reminded her of Havok. She couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling.
Next Match: Team Grayskull's Finn (They/Them) vs. Team Junga's Cymbol (He/Him)
While Cymbol was already in the ring, Finn walked confidently toward the ring, limbering up as they made their way down the ramp. Catra shouted, "You've got this, Finn!" Juliet reflected, "This is it, Finn. Time to show them what it means to be the child of a She-Ra. Make us proud."
Finn and Cymbol bowed to the referee and then to each other. As they retreated to their corners, the referee signaled for the bell. Finn swiftly lunged forward, dodging an extendo arm attack from Cymbol and delivering a powerful blow to his face, knocking him out immediately. Finn prepared for another attack, but the referee intervened, calling for medical attention for their opponent.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Cymbol is unable to continue. Therefore, the winner by knockout is Finn," the referee announced.
"Wow! What a turnaround! Finn secures the victory with a knockout. We'll take a short break, but we'll be right back with more action!"
In the locker room...
Kazari watched the monitor in awe of Finn's display of power. "Wow, Finn is going to be tough to beat. I hope I can keep up," she remarked.

Team Grayskull's Finn (They/Them) vs. Team Thenia's Shrumo (He/Him)
While Shrumo was already in the ring, Finn walked slowly toward the ring, determined to make Shrumo acknowledge them and Team Grayskull. They knew it wouldn't be an easy match. Shrumo was much bigger, but Finn, as the product of She-Ra's lineage, wouldn't go down without a fight. They were ready to show the world the sheer power of being She-Ra's child and Juliet's student.
"Let's go, Finn! You've got this!" Adora cheered. Finn climbed up the top rope and pointed toward Adora and Catra. The crowd joined in with a loud cheer, showing their support. Finn locked eyes with their opponent as the referee rang the bell.
Finn swiftly rushed in for an attack, but Shrumo countered with a series of German suplexes followed by devastating slams. Although these attacks landed, Finn hardly showed any signs of damage. They quickly got up and delivered a powerful kick to Shrumo's face, sending him to his hands and knees. Seizing the opportunity, Finn climbed the top rope and performed a curb stomp, finishing off their opponent. Finn pinned Shrumo as the referee began the count: "1... 2... 3..."
"The winner of this match... Finn!"
Finn raised their hands in victory, and Adora and Catra couldn't be prouder.
Later on...
Maila displayed her impressive skills in the ring, circling around her opponent from Team Xexalla. In the skybox, Seahawk cheered enthusiastically, while Mermista maintained a more reserved demeanor.
With a well-executed hook to her opponent's inner thigh, Maila rolled through and transitioned into a superkick, securing the win.
Next Match: Team Grayskull's Iyexi (She/Her) vs. Team Corona's Bret (He/Him)
It was now Iyexi's turn to fight, and this match held great significance. A win for Iyexi would propel Team Grayskull to the semifinals. Her opponent from Team Corona, Bret, appeared stoic and formidable. Despite the challenge, the 13-year-old half-spacebat was fearless. Iyexi relied on her understanding of basic math and geometry to devise her strategy. As the bell rang, Bret charged at Iyexi, but she skillfully used his momentum to slam him into the turnbuckle. Seizing the opportunity, Iyexi executed a devastating bridging suplex, nearly securing the victory with a close 2 count. However, Iyexi had planned for this scenario. Springing to her feet, she swiftly caught Bret with a roundhouse kick to the head. Demonstrating irony, as the middle rope was known in some communities as "Bret's Rope," Iyexi finished off Bret with a split-legged moonsault from Bret's Rope, sealing her win.

Kazari found herself in a similar situation to Iyexi, needing to win this match to secure a spot in the semifinals. Jack, representing Team Express, proved to be faster than Kazari had anticipated, landing several elbows and forearms. Eventually, Kazari was forced back into a corner. Determined, she gritted her teeth and prepared to turn the tide. Jack moved in to finish her off, but Kazari swiftly retaliated with a Havok-infused knee strike to Jack's forehead. The impact reverberated throughout the stadium, creating an explosive sound. Catra turned to Adora, expressing her unease. "I'm getting some serious bad vibes from that Kazari girl," she said. Adora nodded in agreement, observing Kazari with a thoughtful gaze before being brought back to the present by the others.
"Mama mia! What a knockout victory! Kazari advances to the semifinals!"
The crowd erupted in wild excitement, cheering for the hometown underdog. However, the young magicat gingerly made her way out of the ring, clearly favoring a noticeable limp.

Team Grayskull's Riley (He/Him) vs. Team Gingas' Leosh
Back in the skybox, Adora glanced at Spinnerella and Netossa, a mixture of excitement and nervousness in her eyes. "Riley's up next. How are you feeling about it?" she asked. Spinnerella let out a sigh, her worry evident. "Excited, but nervous. I can't shake off this fear that Riley might get hurt," she admitted. Netossa squeezed Spinnerella's hand reassuringly. "We've trained him well, Spinny. Our son is capable, and he'll do just fine," she reassured. Spinnerella managed a small smile, appreciating the support, though her nerves still lingered.
Meanwhile, in the locker room, Kazari sat on the bench, her knee throbbing with pain. She winced as doctors examined it, hoping for a glimmer of good news. "Tell it to me straight, doc. How bad is it?" she asked, trying to brace herself. The doctor let out a concerned sigh. "I'm not entirely sure. With some ice, a knee brace, and an Advil, you might make it through the semi-finals, but going further than that might be a challenge," he explained. Kazari's gaze fell upon a monitor displaying the ongoing matches.
"And with that, Riley scores another victory for Team Grayskull!"
Back in the skybox, Netossa wrapped an arm around Spinnerella's waist, offering comfort. "See, I told you there was nothing to worry about," she said, a hint of triumph in her voice. Adora, however, couldn't shake off her unease as she watched the next match commence. Juliet approached Adora, noticing her troubled expression. "Take it easy, Adora. Is it that Kazari girl that's bothering you?" she asked, trying to piece it together. Adora let out a sigh, her concerns palpable. "There's just something off about her. Her movements are different, more defensive. I need to pay close attention," she admitted.
Juliet attempted to ease Adora's worries. "Let's not jump to conclusions, Adora. We don't have the full picture. It could just be some random magicat," she suggested. Adora's glare towards Juliet showed her frustration. "How can you be so calm about this?" she retorted, her anxiety getting the better of her. Juliet maintained her composure, trying to reason with Adora. "I'm not calm, Adora. I'm just saying we shouldn't make hasty judgments," she explained, hoping to soothe Adora's concerns.
Some time later...
"It has been an epic and action-packed semi-final round of the G1 Cosmic Tenkaichi. We're just one match away from the finals. Who will join Finn in the main event?!"
Adora tensed up once more as vibrant towers of fireworks shot into the sky, illuminating the arena with a dazzling display. Catra took Adora's hand, offering solace. "It's okay, Adora. It's just the fireworks," she whispered, her touch providing a sense of calm. As the fireworks subsided, the next match was announced without delay.

Team Grayskull's Iyexi (She/Her) vs. Kazari (She/They)
Iyexi knelt at the top of the stage, gathering her focus before springing to her feet and striding purposefully towards the ring. Hordak and Entrapta couldn't make it, so they had everyone wear welding goggles to show their support for Iyexi. Adora turned to Retro Adora, sharing her excitement. "Imagine if we win both the Overall and Grand championships. It'll be a testament to this new generation," she remarked. Retro Adora nodded in agreement, acknowledging the significance of such an achievement.
As Kazari made her entrance, Catra leaned in close to Adora's ear. "I need to use the restroom. I'll be back as quickly as I can," she whispered, assuring Adora of her prompt return. Adora's gaze remained fixated on Kazari, analyzing her movements with an intense focus. "Hmm, something's different about Kazari. Her stance, her demeanor. She seems more defensive," Adora observed. Catra nodded, her eyes mirroring Adora's concern.
Iyexi and Kazari circled each other in the ring, ready to clash. Adora's attention honed in on Kazari's stance, a sense of realization dawning upon her. "Kazari's stance has changed. Her left knee is dragging, and her right knee is in a support position. Almost as if..." she trailed off, interrupted by Catra's return.
"Hey, Adora. I'm back!"
Adora turned to Catra, relief washing over her as she saw her beloved wife. However, she couldn't ignore Catra's pallor and slight sweat. "Catra, you don't look well," Adora noted with concern. Catra brushed it off, assuring Adora. "I'm okay, just a cough. So, what did I miss?" she asked, trying to catch up.
"Not much, the match just started."
Iyexi wasted no time, launching a swift kick towards Kazari's knee, which Kazari had to block with her hand, wincing in pain. Adora's gaze shifted to Catra, urgency in her voice. "Look, Kazari is already on the defensive. She must be hurt," she remarked. Catra nodded, her worry aligning with Adora's assessment.
Iyexi, too, recognized Kazari's injury, capitalizing on it by going for her bad knee with a pounce attack. Kazari utilized Iyexi's lowered center of gravity, executing a cartwheel to evade the blow, ensuring she landed on her good leg. But the respite was short-lived as Iyexi grabbed Kazari in a belly-to-belly overhead suplex, causing her to land painfully on her injured leg. A hiss of pain escaped Kazari's lips as Iyexi advanced, ready to strike. However, Kazari rolled back, pivoted onto her hand, and delivered a mule kick to Iyexi's jaw.
Using the ropes for support, Kazari pushed herself up, determination etched on her face.
"IYEXI! YOU HAVE TO FINISH THIS RIGHT NOW!!! DO IT!!!" Adora's voice boomed with a mix of encouragement and urgency.
Iyexi prepared to deliver the final blow, stepping back to line up a decisive strike. But Kazari didn't back down. As Iyexi gathered momentum, Kazari raised her bad knee, spreading her arms at a 45-degree angle. With all the speed and power she could muster, Iyexi lunged forward, only to meet Kazari's ROUNDHOUSE CRANE KICK head-on. The impact sent Iyexi crashing to the ground with a resounding thud. Kazari stumbled slightly, then went in for the pin.
"1...2...3!"
"Can you believe it?! After a topsy-turvy match, the main event is now set! Here is the final matchup:
MAIN EVENT
TEAM GRAYSKULL'S FINN (They/Them) vs. KAZARI, UNAFFILIATED (She/They)

Y’all are so allergic to being called racist or being corrected that you routinely choose to react defensively to simply being told discrimination exists in our community. Stop. Just, seriously, stop. Just listen. Acknowledge that since we all grew up in a racist society, we all hold racist ideas, and that if you are a member of the privileged white class, many of the issues POC experience will simply be invisible to you. When you do a racism, just fucking accept it and work on it. That’s all you have to do.
And for the love of god, please amplify black voices and posts. I would anecdotally calculate that black selfies on selfie subs get 10 times less upvotes on average because the cultural standards of beauty is racist and white-centric. It doesn’t cost you anything to like a post by someone you aren’t personally attracted to. It might not seem like it matters, but y’all don’t even know that we (POC) exist on these subs. We can tell by how you talk about trans issues.
I’m not saying y’all are bad people. I’m just saying pay attention to how you engage with us, or don’t. When’s the last time you specifically read about a trans POC perspective? Saw a POC video essay on YouTube? Natalie Wynn and Abigail Thorne are fantastic allies! I love both of them dearly. But watch some FD Signifier, some Soulbunni, some Anansi’s Library for a change. Edit: thank you for the voices of support! It means a lot to me and I’m sure it means a lot to other POC. I hate to add more thoughts that might be seen as negative, but just to give one really salient example of how racism (and really all isms and phobias) manifests in insidious ways in our communities: the “I’m too tired to deal with this shit” comments. I’m not talking about the feeling. Lord knows I have to turn off the politics sometimes. I’m talking the posting of that sentiment on posts calling out bigotry and bias within our own community. It is inherently discriminatory and dismissive because the only reason to post that is to tell the person complaining that their issues are not important enough to warrant consideration from “the community,” IE other white people usually. It silences the voices of trans BIPOC, and it serves to inoculate others against caring about our unique struggles, especially when we offer opinions and solutions that are not immediately beneficial to white people. Stuff like reparations. The ability to say “I’m too tired to deal with your issues” is privilege. I do not get to dismiss the issues I face due to being a black trans woman. And I do not get to dismiss the struggles I face due to being a white trans woman. As a light skinned mixed race person, I pass as white in certain contexts. But more than that, almost every issue White trans people face is an issue all trans people face because white is assumed to be the default, which is privilege. When I hear “I’m too tired to care,” what i hear is “I get to not care and I choose to exercise that privilege because I don’t care about you enough to bother putting in any effort to help you.”

Edit 3: so as expected, I got a couple of comments that did exactly what I was complaining about here. Not sure if the mods deleted the comments or they did, but I just want to highlight what happened here: one the commenters denied this was a problem, twice, claiming they see posts like this all the time (true) but that they personally don’t see any issues of POC erasure in our communities. Let me be absolutely clear because I see this all the time: THAT IS WHITE SUPREMACY. Like, the really bad thing. Even if that person isn’t white themselves, they are directly trying to silence black voices, which aids white supremacist structures in our community. But what’s worse, they clearly see this complaint all the time from actual people of color, and they assume that all of us, collectively, must be full of shit and too sensitive or something, while they, presumably a white person, is enlightened and knows about the issues we see better than we do ourselves. That’s fucking racist as FUCK. Like, that’s some East India Trading Company shit, converting “savages” to Christianity and capitalism because you’re doing the “lesser beings” a favor kind of racist. And it pisses me off to no end, because you don’t even have to know any race theory to just not be an asshole in the first place. Because telling someone their OWN FUCKING EXPERIENCE is invalid is gaslighting and abusive toxic assholery. Fuck people who do that shit. And thank you to the vast vast majority of y’all who were amazing dealing with a very difficult post that could have turned very toxic! 天上の楽園 ソラリス潜入！ (Heavenly paradise — Infiltrate Solaris!)

• Japanese has a habit of truncating sentences in ways that can seem utterly puzzling if you're not used to it. Japanese is a "verb-final" language, and leaving out the verb seems like it'd just outright destroy many sentences. It's not that bad once you've seen or heard it enough times and learn to infer via context. When the party is discussing teams for the Solaris operation, Citan says, translating literally, "Well, if possible, here..." which the official translator wisely rendered, "Well, if possible I would like to..." as Citan is clearly turning to Elly to ask her to be an integral part of the first team. Elly agrees, and the next part is a little odd. Fei says, "I'll go too. I'm a little concerned if it's Elly." I think most people with "JRPG translation sense" understand that he means "I’d just worry about Elly otherwise," though there had to be at least one person who thought he'd suddenly developed reservations about Elly. Elly's next lines have another one of those half-sentences. The translator put down, "What are you...? Wait, I didn't mean it like..." This isn't correct, although the disdainful side of me doesn't care because this is, in fact, a botched "tsundere" line. Elly is actually saying, "You’d what? Hey, wait just a minute. I, I don’t need you fawning all over…"
  
• When Citan says to Yui, "If I happened to be overcome by the darkside..." that's fine I guess, but the Japanese line doesn't invoke Star Wars or anything. It kind of makes you think that Citan might betray the party for vaguely magical reasons later on, when he's perfectly capable of doing it for rational ones. Literally, he's saying, "If I am to be taken in by dark thoughts…"
  
• When you set out for Solaris, Maria declares, "I'm coming, Solaris! Siebzehn and I shall be the dark wings which carry you all to your deaths!!" If, like me, you were wondering if this was an embellishment by the translator: No, it's not. That is word-for-word what she says. Scary!
  
• Oh, wow, it's been a while since I've been able to write about Hammer. When Siebzehn drops everyone off at the edge of Solaris, Hammer says, "Don't worry, I'm good at gathering info!" This is a bit more Hammer-esque in Japanese. I'd put it as, "Don’t you worry, brothers and sisters, Hammer the Information Station is here!!" Rico then exclaims, "You just like to watch other's misery!!" Uh, nope: "Hey, we don’t need any damn rubberneckers!!" Hammer's reply: "Forgive me...!! Sorry!!" Also nope: "I ain't made of no rubber!!" Well, actually he says, "I ain't no horse!!" but of course we have to adjust the joke ("rubbernecker" in Japanese is "heckling horse").
  
• When you reunite with Elly in F Block, she explains, "There's around 20 blocks each with land dwellers in them. We Solarians are privy to all personal info... Everyone's DNA structure is inscribed on a molecular level. And even their class..." This is notably wrong, though in all fairness the Japanese isn't worded all that well. What she's really saying is, "There’s about 20 blocks all in all, each one with people from the surface set up in segregated isolation. In the eyes of Solarians, all manner of personal data, right on down to fundamentals like DNA, are your brand. Even for the middle class, actually…"
  
• The whole long stretch with Krelian's naval review, the Lacan flashback, and Fei and Elly bickering actually has no meaningful errors or omissions. Hooray!
  

逃避行 なつかしの我が家 (Runaway — Home sweet home)

• If you talk to Elly's housekeeper, you can get her de facto ultimate weapon, the "Psycho Rod." コテンパン is a noun/adverb that denotes someone or something has been "beaten to a pulp," or something of that nature. A more faithful translation might have been like, "Beatdown Rod." Not that this really matters in the grand scheme of this project, I know, but I used to look at these more in the earlier segments and hey, I find it interesting...
  
• I've talked before in this series about how Citan has a bit more humor to him in Japanese. If I haven't mentioned this yet, there's kind of the opposite thing going on with Elly. Like, there's that scene we went over after Fei and Elly fight where it's more apparent in Japanese that Fei is lucid with his own feelings and Elly isn't. And then there's that first bullet point from this segment, as well as that part where Emeralda insults her and she gets snippy with Fei over it. Here in Elly's house, we have evidence that others have noted her prickly nature. Before Medina goes out shopping, she says, "Elly never invites her friends over. I'm glad you're here." In Japanese, she teases her: "Elly [aggravated name appellation] never invites her friends over, or anything. Please get along well [disdainful verb suffix]." We can translate it thus: "This one never invites her friends over, or anything. I hope she won’t scare you away!" On second thought, maybe "Psycho Rod" was fine...
  
• OK, I said back in like Part 2 that we were going to talk more about Elly's name. Here we are. I'm hardly the first person to note that the password scene in Elly's house doesn't work all that well unless you translate Elly's and Miang's names with some degree of consistency. So, you might be wondering if the Japanese version of this scene has their names in kana, just as they appear at the top of the game's text boxes and in the actual dialogue. It doesn't. That kind of thing doesn't work so well in Japanese. Elly spells out both words with Latin letters, effectively giving us official Romanizations: Elehayym and Myyahele. I've seen some observers mark this down as a straight blunder on the part of the translator, and on some level it is—but the truth of the matter is that this scene doesn't have immediate impact in Japanese, either. Like, the game does give you a rendering of Elly's full name, エレハイム, but it only ever refers to Miang as ミァン, which is... well, "Miang," or perhaps "Mian" or "Myan." So, even if you're a Japanese player—one who hasn't read Perfect Works prior to playing for the first time—and you have enough familiarity with the Latin alphabet to be able to parse the scene out to a semi-meaningful degree, it still doesn't have incontrovertible, absolute impact. "Myahhele" isn't her full name in the way that "Elehayym" is Elly's, and the phrase hasn't even been evoked anyway to this point in the game. Will it ever be, actually? I guess I'm going to need to put another pin in this until pretty late in the game.
  
• During the confrontation with Erich, Fei says something super nice about Medina that wouldn't fit in the text box: "The way she looks at you, the way she acts, that’s nothing if not a mother’s way."
  

Bonus

A few weeks ago, on the /Xenogears Discord, someone wondered out loud, "That Samson segment is so weird. I wonder if they were trying to imply something with his resemblance to Fei's village buddy or if was just a weird plot beat they forgot?" First of all, I checked to see if there was some additional nuance to his and Fei's dialogue in Japanese. There isn't, although in English he kind of implies that he remembers everything, whereas in Japanese it's more like he's saying "I have some memories left over." So, what's his deal? Well, the easy explanation is that the developers were working through the Solaris segment and said, "Hey, we need someone to facilitate this whole segment where Fei and Elly move through F Block, should we make a whole new sprite?" and the response was, "Nah, just do a recolor." So someone on the art team picked Timothy's sprite out of a hat, reworked it, and offered that up, and the storyboarding department was like, "Er, players will probably notice that this looks like a key character from earlier in the game. Well... maybe we can just make it kind of a joke in the game and call it a day."
Then I got to thinking—maybe it is Timothy. I mean, we saw him get shot, and everyone talks about him like they definitely saw him in a continued dead state as they lowered him into the ground, so that's probably not the case. But what if Solaris did snatch up some of the wounded in Lahan? We know that Solaris does abduct surface-dwellers to bolster their labor force. Samson says he still remembers things, but how does he know he can trust his memory, like in Blade Runner? And yeah, he looks a bit different, but you'll recall the thing about Jessie's plastic surgery and how Billy didn't quite recognize him. It's not ridiculous to assume that Solaris would alter their abductees' looks. Then, why is he called Samson? Well, saying for the moment that it is Timothy, his arc does sort of resemble that of Samson from the Bible. In a figurative way, maybe? I dunno.

but, i'm typing on it, it's working now. idk, can reddit shadow ban subs from being searched. don't know. i know they can ban subs. incels and trump, but i'm not promoting violence. i'm trying to say it's bad. not very well, cause you know, i'm crazy. but, so. anyway.
it doesn't matter. nothing ever matters anyway, it's just do this thing until you get to the next thing to do and forever just grind it out. contemplate and work, that's all there really is, been contemplating, you know. what to do now. cause, now i gotta change direction and do something else. this has come to end, you know. well, no. i didn't tell anyone.
but, meleangeons are people who traded passage to the new world for work. so, the, mostly portaguse, but other races of that region, too, they traded work on the ships for passage here during the spanish inquisition. the spanish had slave markets set up in the carolinas, and the sailors would get off the boats there, then the spanish would trade them out for african slave and complete their voyage before proceeding around current day flordia into the gulf, then onto to slaughter the aztecs and the myans. incas.

so, they'd get there, and that's the reason for the fresh bodies. that's why they set up the slave market, as part of their war machine. so, they'd pick up the slaves in the carolinas, have them work all the way over to current day central america, then put them off the boats and making them fight the natives. it's brutal.
history is brutal.
so, then, they you know, went about conquering the people and stealing the gold that they got greedy and loaded ships back with and set set to sink their greedy asses in the ocean. in the name of god, of course.
i'm pretty sure most of the world's gold reserves are sitting in at the bottom of the ocean thanks to the spanish.
i guess they really liked it back in the day. that's why the english navy was so much better, they formed their society around spices they don't like to use. i guess they just like to show 'em off cause they damn sure don't put them in food.
but, they were probably so very expensive that people would want to just them sparingly. the french took the other route and use spices lavishly. that's why they're foods so good. spices. the spanish grow their own spices, that's why they didn't take that social ... idk, spices are just the status symbols of old. you know. that's all. spices and gold, they were status symbols of the wealthy and they killed all people to show out to their friends. you know, that's all that was.

i used to read a lot more, not so much anymore. i've been reading stephen king's billy summers. it's a story about a hitman, reminds me a lot of ... mark. slow going reading that book. also, working on my 100 and 10th read through of the art of war. i like to read about history and pop horror. sometimes, social commentary, but like old social commentary. the classics. literature. you know, the things the people are doing in fictional books tell you a lot about how society was constructed during the day
and, of course, it's the society of the wealthy you're reading about, life wasn't like that for the vast majority of people. the majority.
it was only like that for the few. and, it's always been like that. under every system of government. for as long as. you know. it comes down to how the system of government is. and, you know, the masses want a government for the people by the people, that's democracy. that's what the majority of the people want in their life.
the ideal of it, anyway, in practice it's not so great.
or, maybe we ain't doing it right. maybe there's something wrong with our democracy. it doesn't seem like it best suits the people. the masses. you know. the majority. i feel completely disenfranchised and like my government doesn't really stand for what's in my best interest.
you know, like those stories that the fed keeps pushing about the need to lower wages. i know the fed isn't the government, but they operate under that guise. cause, you know, most people don't know how it works. what the fed is. but, life's getting harder and harder out here in real world land and they're trying to take away your means to support yourself. or, just make it harder.
and, you know, every company's like "record profits" and yeah, that damn inflation, it's just cause the farmers and the truck drivers and the rain that falls on the plain, i guess. or, don't rain. nestle stole everyone's water. i mean, all that shit's kinda crazy and not really in the best interest of humanity as a whole.
everybody just go ahead and spend your life chasing scraps of paper and don't ever look up. don't you fucking dare. right. yeah.
you took my love for granted. that's why it hurt so much when i left. when i wouldn't. when i did or did not. you took for granted that i would be devoted while you never bother with that.

it was a chance and opportunity to build a new community of their own in a new land. it was the opportunity to self govern. and, they took it.
that's how a lot of colonizers landed here. the quakers, the amish, the mennites. all of them, same shit. that's the driving force behind social improvement, humanity's driving want of self governance. that's the seed of revolution.
this fucking place, i swear. you know. if not watch the news. dig around. i only just skimmed and was pretty horrified. that's some fucked up shit. and, that's a fucking statement. idk, i'm just looking. i ain't got a dog in fight.
the will of the people, i guess, guess that's what the people want. who am i to argue. seems kinda fucked up to me, but ok. whatever. that was the very last instance of such a thing. new technolgoy and all. people had some way to get their own and put it out. you know. look here. look what they did
but, they'd been doing that kinda shit for years. years and years. you know. that's how they used to operate around here, that's just how it was done. i mean, in such a small town it's impossible to not know every other person and even if you don't want to know, you can't help but see it. the doings and goings ons of others. i mean, it's not something you can't not see
and, so everybody always knows whats going on. most times, anyway. so, all you can do is just ignore it. you know. can't help what other people do, you know. just try to shield yourself from that. you know. and, that's why i'm a law abiding citizen.
idk, that shit might have been necessary in the 70's, this is a wild ass place. you know. it's just nothing but crime through and through here. you know, not everyone and most people are just trying to live, but there's also a lot of criminal stuff that goes on. drugs. drugs are real bad up here. it's bad, bad. the drugs.
and, the addiction causes people to turn to other things, you know, to get the money to pay for the drugs. prostitution, there's a lot of hookers here. and, i don't just mean, you know, the ones who sell pussy online. or, those going by the name of girlfriend. or, wife that you ain't. no paper, no marriage.
right.
yeah, that's how that works. i'm just curious about why all those rich guys with the sugarbabies aren't concerned living in a state that offers palimony. that seems stupid. like, you're setting yourself up for court. you know. there's probably a lawyer out there right now trying to make a case for it, i know, it. i'm sure.
it's not like you can have a contract. when it involves money, then that's what makes it a crime. so, i guess that's just why, but no. they get allowance. that's just a subscription hooker.
they had their own religion. it was a mish mash of things, you know, that's what meleangeon is, a mish mash. so, when it was time for their kids to marry and have their own kids, they didn't go looking for spouses inside the community. that's how you end up with a king like that.
they hated royalty. they hated it and that's why they were willing to do such a thing. a deep seated hated of the monarchy. my people, the meleangeons. a lot of sailors kept dairies. and, passed along the stories. people in my family like to tell stories about people who've died. you know, they'd like to make the wildest stories to keep their stories told. an oral history.
and, those old people would tell those stories a lot. you know. so, that's why, some were criminals, or people who were poor and just thought it would be a better way. the reasons the early colonizers came to the states. and, that's what my people are. early colonizers. and, you know, since they didn't bring no women with them, they just married what was here and we're super mixed. and, then, when it came time to marry, they'd look outside the tribe. in those early days, cause after a couple of generations they'd be too closely related to have, you know, decent children. not inbred. so, they always took wives outside the community. the first six or seven generations. but, by then, you know, the community had built up around, and there were other different colonizers living next door. now, most of them stuck to the colonies, but my people, when they first settled there were blacksmiths, and they had trade between other meleangeon communities that formed, and the natives, once they stopped fighting with one another over land, then they'd get settled down and trade. a lot of intermarrying.
and, small communities typically breed their own livestook, so, once you're settled and no longer nomadic, you start noticing different things, you know. being nomadic doesn't give you the time and space to invent and discover. well, it does, since you're mostly just chasing food all the time you invent and discover new and better ways to catch food. you know, and, hunting just leads itself to war. and, willing to fight. i guess. being able to hunt.
being able to kill. but, your higher brain functions need carbs to work. like, your brain needs carbs. so, an all meat diet didn't allow them the needed calories and headspace or whatever for introspection. not a very introspective people. that comes with a roof. but, it seems that once people get settled in, then other improvements start to begin. you know. so, once things settle, then people start looking for meaning.
churches and writing and just the practicalities of life, keeping yourself alive. you know. and, then once people get that settled, it frees up time to, you know, think about better ways to do things. or, something else. whatever. whatever other people let their mind wander. so, anyway, i have to find a better way.
and, that always mean make more money. so, you know. anyway, i really need to concentrate on that, it's ok. i don't mind working, i just wish, you know, it paid more. my life as it is now isn't really sustainable to me, i can't spend the rest of my life like this.
i'm not happy with this at all. i have a real particular thing i want and i'm going after that. i feel like it would make me to feel free. and, it ain't even that much. i don't really require a lot, but i'd like more consumer goods and you know, it never goes away, the want of new things.
i mean, no matter how hard you reject capitalism, you have to deal with it daily, it never goes away, and i still want a new playstation. so, you know, i hate it, but i really enjoy the benefits. but, that doesn't mean there's still not a better way.
people shouldn't live like this. last nigh a pizza guy came in and used his tips to rent a room for a homeless couple. they were in their 60s and on death's door. and, sleeping out, you know. he told me what he was doing, and i just take the money. you know.
right. so, in the morning when i put the breakfast out, the little old woman comes down. and, she's in really poor health and belongs in the nursing home and not sleeping out in the street. or, something, i mean, the first thing they did was take a shower, she was clean and bright eyed, but unwell. and, you know, i know she just worked herself to death only to be thrown out in the street when her use is used up. what kinda life is that.
and, they call it wage slave for a reason. it's practically unescapable. and, in a lot of ways, i feel like that's what the educational system in this country is preparing kids for. to just be worker bees for some faceless corporation who only knows you as a number. but, you know, workers are necessary to society. clearly they're necessary in order for society to function.
but, there ain't no money in that.
making society function just don't fucking pay.
and, it was during the lockdowns, you know, back in 2020, that's when society recognized, even a little bit, how important the workers actually are. society simply does not function without workers. but, for the ones holding together all the bits and pieces we're just scrounging around for the least.
and, that's how pay seems to be structured in this country. it seems like the more you can see someone and the more necessary their job, the less they get paid. the more forward facing you are to the customer, the less you make. and, it's a hard way to live in a capitalist society.
you know, you're subjected to the expectations of the person with the money. and, sometimes they can be a little more than unrealistic. and, these are largely people who are contributing the absolute least to society. the people who contribute the least have the highest demands.
it's crazy. by the time you get off work, you spend the next six hours processing the headspace of the day. it leaves no room for introspection. i just get exausted dealing with other people, and it's most probably the people i hang around, but i been trying to not hang around you my whole life. you know.
always just trying to get away, form you know, the judgement of others, and, it's not that i even fucking care, i super duper don't care what you think of me. and, i have zero interest in taking your advice. i don't even know what the fuck that is. i mean, i think they'd just be happier if i didn't exist.
so, they want me to, idk, work for free, mark and hueser. they want me to work for free on this and that and all kinds of stuff. it's a lot. it's a lot of my mental effort expent dealing with those two. and, they do it for money, they get money off the things i explain to them or work out for them or do for them. you know, it gives them money. and, i get nothing.
and, if i try not doing it, or do it in a way they don't like, they cause some kinda stressor in my life. until i get back onto what they think i ought to be doing. and, idk. there's always a lot going on, and then also at the same exact time, nothing. a stale boredom mixed with external pressure to preform.
it's great. i love it. yay
and, at the same exact time i'm always trying to find a way out of doing whatever it is that they want me to do. stuff i don't want to do. and, then they're like, oh, no. this is for your benefit, you'll grow from this experience. i'm doing you a favor.
but, you know. fucking up my shit isn't doing me a favor. and, idk, instead of finding ways to force me to grow as a person, how about you grow your own self and see that you're way the fuck out of line. and, then, i know. i know you're not helping me grow as a person with this bullshit. this ain't it.
you're preventing me from it, that's what you always do. come by and fuck up whatever i got going so i can't progress my life. this is the work of narcissists.
and, i'm so fucking tired of these people butting into shit that ain't their business just to cause trouble. ain't even no other reason half the time. just to fucking do it, i guess.
you know, and it was 12-21-12, the myan end of days day, that day, that night. that's when i finally just stopped responding. like, we used to keep touch on this game forum. like, private game dms. and, yahoo chat. we used to yahoo chat a lot. hueser and i. we used to keep in touch. like, online. and, sometimes in person. but, the in person parts and the online, all of it, kept a secret.
over his mom. sometimes during we were both actually single.
that's my longest relationship. i'm a side chick to his mom. it's great. really
but, then, on that day, that myan end of days day, he was supposed to and didn't. did something else instead, that's what he did. and, then i was just done. he tried to talk to me on gamechat the next day, i just deleted the link from my saved sites. i just quit playing the game. and, then other places, he tried to reach out online, you know. tried to talk to me.
but, no. that was it, that was the last chance. that was it. i just stopped using the internet and quit going around certain people. and, that was that. i just would not. i just wouldn't do it anymore. you know, just didn't want to.
and, i'd already made myself unfindable and then the ex moved in the house. and, for the first two years of our relationship - he wouldn't leave the house. like, never. he wouldn't leave the house. and, a lot of things had happened to him, and he wasn't really dealing well. and, at that point i was making a pretty decent living at this company.
i had a job that i was paid fairly for the first time in a long time. i was doing ok money wise. but, i worked a shit ton of fucking hours. so, i was better off, and, then you know. this was 2010, and technology had picked up and gotten smaller. and, people started breaking into the place i was living. like, when i was out, it was pretty obvious that someone came in while we were out.
i'd thought for a while before my laptop got stolen, but after that, i really realized it. you know, just from the stuff they'd take, socks. dirty fucking socks. i'm not great at keeping up with laundry, that's no lie. but, you know. i'm usually real good at keeping up with my socks. i only lose five or six a year to whenever the hell socks go. idk, so, i keep a close eye on it, my sock count. like, really. in the past it used to be real hard for me to keep socks so i started counting, you know. i'm real particular about how i mate socks.
so, it was at that point, that i was finally making enough money to move, to be able to afford something not so easy to access. and, that's where i went. that's what i looked for. where i used to live there's a lot of old cabin rentals that used to be for tourists, but now they're for locals. those, well the way they're set up, you don't have to put utilities in your name, so, idk, it makes you harder to find. don't forward your mail

i live my life out in the open while hiding from the world. but, no. that's how you have to do. go quickly and keep a secret about where you're going, or even that you are. the quicker i can catch them unawares, the better, i mean, they fuck with me by, you know, manipulating those around me. so, and, most times the people don't even know they're being manipulated. and, the gossip
always, the gossip and then people who know me are somewhat apt to believe a lot of it, i mean, cause it's true shit, for the most part. but, they never gossip the reasons or what caused that. only just, you know, what i did. and, hueser takes advantage the way my sister did, they both know me, know me, you know. and, i don't have to wonder what they know. it's always a thing.
i like being a stranger, i don't like it when my reputation proceeds me. cause then people start making judgements before they even meet me, and it's not that i care about the judgement, but i do care whether or not they'll, you know, hire me or rent me a house or some kinda shit like that. i mean, your reputation is your social currency. and, it's hard to get by when there's a bunch who likes to mess you life up in some kinda way, you know, you get pushed into having to make terrible decisions.
making choices that people really should not have to make in today's society.
anyway, you know. that's just what life is, i guess. but, you know. a lot of people in my life make things harder on me. as punishment. that's what they say. i'm being punished for something or another. idk, i don't remember quite what. but, maybe i'm in the mood to do it again i'm so mad. lol.

laughing, laughing together, and i got mad about it and never spoke to him again.
i mean, i scrape and i struggle and you're out and about prancing around with that, wearing my fucking clothes. ok. fine, then. fuck you, too.
it's not even like the betrayal of it all was bad enough, you know. just the betrayal, but then they kept piing on disrespect. it drove me fucking mad. and, i was just done, you know. but, anyway, i was pretty upset about it, you know, he'd been lying to me and saying how bad everything was, but then i saw him and it just didn't look that bad for him at all. and, i was mad over it.
so, you know. it was later that he decided to check my loyalty and i failed, i guess, but it wasn't like he was even in my life. you know, he was with them. having lots of fun is what it looked like, so fuck him, you know. i ain't loyal to people who ain't loyal back
and, that's how i ended up in atlanta with skanka and all of them. like, you know. that's how that came to be, it was just a set up to see how i'd react, you know, it was his expectation that i wouldn't remember or idk, idk what he expected, but not that.

i was living with nj and it was around that time that i realized i'd made a terrible mistake letting him move in with me. like, he didn't work, he was claiming he was too depressed for work
but, i was working two jobs to support us and losing my fucking mind. he would do this thing, which i kinda see as manipulation now. when i'd get home he'd go on and on about how proud of me he was and tell me how great of a job i was doing
i was floundering, but because he kept piling on praise, i didn't feel like i could say it. you know. not everyday, but a lot of days on the way home from work, i'd have to just pull over. just pull over on the side the road and scream.

i felt like i was being driven mad by it. just the work. the all day of work. and, i was on probation then for some bullshit. that was stressing me out. couldn't smoke, you know. but, i still had to buy smoke,
being the fucking provider to this fucking guy, it was bullshit. the whole fucking thing was bullshit. and, on that day. that myan end of days day. that fucking heuser was supposed to..
i don't even know what. you know. but, that day. that day, he didn't show up.
that's the day i stopped using the internet. that's the day i stopped letting them trigger me. i stopped participating. or playing games. or looking at any social media. or sharing anything.
that's the day i quit the internet. i didn't pick it back up until election day of 2015, i was at the hospital. i'd broken my ankle. i'd broken my ankle two days prior and didn't want to go to work and needed a doctor's excuse and went to the hospital

I have mentioned this before and many have disagreed so I thought I'd finally explain why it is perfect for him.
First, it was made by Shiro Sagisu for Evangelion. Sagisu is the genius behind bleachs music as well, which is why it feels like something that would be in bleach.
The lyrics fit well with Yhwach and the instruments and sounds do well to represent him and TYBW as a whole. I will discuss the lyrics first, and then the orchestra.
The lyrics deliver a chill down your spine, especially once you understand the words, like most of Shiro sagius works. At first you may think it is a separate language but it is Infact English. They add onto to the atmosphere of the theme and represent Yhwach surprisingly well. When viewed as if all the lyrics were an inner monologue of Yhwach, it actually fits very well.

The first line says, What will the future hold, which is perfect for yhwachs ability the almighty. What will the future hold is probably what he'd think to himself many times throughout the war.
The next lines are
How will I be rewarded? Have I the right to riches In a world where there are no prizes
These 3 lines don't have direct similarities like the others. If looked at from yhwachs perspective you can say this is him contemplating the end result of his war. After defeating the soul Reaper and finally killing his father, did he really win? When there is nothing to really win in this world? Will the world really change for the better? He wants to set his father free but he will also lose the current world as its cost. Perhaps his father would have wanted it like this and maybe the world truly is better off like this. Regardless he will go through despite never finding all that out.
Who makes the clock tick by
The soul king is the one and Yhwach knows that. Once he absorbed his powers it was then Yhwach who made the clock tick by as the supreme ruler. Maybe this is a reminder of yhwachs objective, of relieving the soul king and becoming the ruler in his place.
When will my fate be ready Do I get prior warning Am I told? Are there no surprises
These 3 lines aren't a direct fit either but they can work. What is Yhwach final fate. Death. defeat. Victory. Perhaps something worse (CFYOW😱) Would he get any clear warnings? Any surprises? You can refer this to yhwach scoping the future with the almighty again, to figure out and change his fate. He is looking at whether things will go according to plan or if there will be surprises, like ichigo and uryu.
Finally, the next part fits surprisingly well to yhwach.

I have to count my blessings, which could symbolize yhwachs shrifts which he bestowed to the his fellow Quincy. Blessings would be the actual shrifts or even the sternritter members.
I have to learn my lessons, would stand for yhwach using the allmighty to learn as much as he can to survive and win this war.
My fate is in the balance. His fate rests upon the balance. This could represent the fate of world now resting upon yhwachs hands or, the shrift of his most trusted man jugram haschwalt, the balance. Jugram takes over yhwachs power when yhwach sleeps making him just as important as yhwach. That is why the balance is of utmost importance to his fate.
I must go on believing. Yhwach must believe in his cause, his self no matter what. No matter what others think, he knows the truth and knows what the righteous path is. He knows of the dark past of the soul society and the betrayal of the soul king. Despair is only a tool to bring upon to others, a weapon to cripple his enemies as it has no space in his mind.
All of this is what yhwach will do in an attempt to win this war for his kind. If looked at it like that, it seems like something that yhwach would repeat to himself, reminding himself of what needs to be done.
Imagine how badass that would be, with yhwach chanting this verse in his mind whenever he is in hardship.
With the lyrics now covered I will go through the background music.
The theme has snare drums beating throughout it. The snare drum has always been used to march in the military, giving it the kind meaning that the quincys are on the verge of war. This fits very well with the TYBW. That said the snare isn't the only drum there also is another one in the background hidden in the shadows. The bass or tom drum that's not as audible but nevertheless there orchestrating in the background, just like the quincy hiding in a shadow where you least expect. Along with the drums, the cymbol rings loudly, representing the brutal clashes of the TYBW. Accompanying the drums are the strings giving a regal and majestic feel to it, well fitting of yhwachs godly lineage. Finally the trumphant trumpets blow showing the sheer importance of this war. Trumpets have always been used when an important figure like a leader enters. It starts with a low pitch and slowly becomes louder, similar to the dire and dangerous circumstances we see in the tybw. You can also say it is like yhwach and his overwhelming power getting stronger just like the trumpets.
The glory and peaks of war the epic highs and adrenaline of battle all fit well with the climax of the theme that is amplified by the instruments and the lyrics.
All of this combined gives sort of an imperial sort of sound, as if a proud nation was marching into war. This theme doesn't make yhwach seem like the bad guy, which despite what majority of people think is absolutely right. I had alot of people say in a previous post that he needs to have a more menacing and I disagree. If you read CFYOW, you would know that his goals were not that evil, especially compared to Tokinada who really deserves menacing theme. Yhwachs goal was understandable when you take in that he wanted to save his father from an eternity of "suffering". I feel once he absorbs the soul king, a darker theme would be cooler, but I feel this is the best for him for every other situation. I have seen a few people remake nothing can be explained into a more darker version and I think that would fit in very well for that situation.
Yhwach has his vision on the world and it is questionable but he isn't inherently evil and I feel Fate portrays that well. It really gives off the vibe as if he's the final weapon, the last and greatest hope for the Quincy race. The triumphant last march in this holy war that lasted a millennium.

Ok guys. As I said before. I believed the human race was a product or experiment of a higher race or species. Well since I made that post a few had sent me links to this website with much more information. As I said there documented ex military personnel who have said species like the Reptillions very much so exist. Well I've learned much more about them and the species we call "nordics" or Tall Whites.
And before I start this. I do have a link I'm newer to reddit but I'll try to make sure it's in there. Or I can give it I have already previously posted just this link. The website and much more info but for now I'm gonna stick with what this guy got out of a interview with a Reptillion. He said he had a friend who claimed he had met one and talked to one. And that prior to this he never believed in aliens or any of this and thought his friend was crazy. Until they set up a meeting and he sat down with the "being" and seen she was real and this is what came of it.
The Reptillions originally evolved into a intelligent species in the what we call the Jurasic Era. They were apart of the dinosaur kingdom long ago and I assume the way we see animals around us. They seen dinosaurs. This gilt reptillion who calls herself "Lacerta" which is a name for us to understand cause we can't pronounce thiers. Anyways during that time she says the other species known as the Tall Whites found earth. And at first communicated with thier species and seemed good. It wasn't until later they found out their real intentions. Which was not resources which surprised the Reptillions but the unadvanced ape like species that inhabited the planet. She said she thinks it reminded them of themselves or how they evolved or she assumed. The issue arrises when they wanted to take 10 to 20 thousand of these animals to thier world to excelerate the evolution process 10 fold. Which BTW normal evolution takes much longer time then we think. She says look at the animals on the planet. They have only evolved so little and its been 148 million years from the cataclysmic event. (I'll get to this in a second)
The issue here. Was that the plan for the Tall whites was to advance these ape like beings into intelligence and then bring them back to this planet and let them evolve. Obviously the reptillions have a major issue with this. Since it is thier world. I mind you again this all happens during Jurrasic time periods. What follows is a galactic war between the reptillons and the Tall whites. In which at some point the Tall Whites used some sort of nuclear super Lazer aimed at earth that was what we thought was a asteroid crater was in fact the impact of this super destructive weapon that killed most of all life on this planet almost completely whiping out the dinosaurs and the reptillon species. Only some survived she said. Ones like Sharks, Crocodiles, certain lizards and snakes on some of our ancestors.
Eventually I believe the rest of the Reptillions burrows into the depths of the earths in oceans and hard to find caves. They built cities inside these huge places. What we wanna call a "hollow earth" theory isn't right though. But you get the picture.
She said that modern humans are not the original humans. But that we are the seventh installment of us. And that we have no prior knowledge of the others. But the fact the pyramids were built by the 5th installment of humans some near 75 thousand years ago. And that the Egyptians only happened to stumble upon them and try to replicate thier own
This means humans have evolved prior times. Built cities most likely and clearly strictures. She also said most the cave paintings we see were from these older versions of ourselves.
Now during my research and listening to testimonies from ex military. Some of them claimed there is alien species that live in bases deep within the earth. And they use ships to come out.
These ships are the white cigar or "tic tac" ones Captain David Fravor chased. These ships belong to the reptillons. They also say they have had meetings with us government and even president Eisenhower. Which this is quite creepy as the new American Horror Story literally has a part where Eisenhower meets with the aliens and makes deals for tech. So oddly times AHS.
Anyways. Let's cover what else was said. She said the war between the Tall Whites and Reptillions ended only 5 thousand years ago. And that we were present for it. But that we were at the time still so unadvanced that we couldn't comprehend what was happening so we written it down as religion and based religious stories about it. And that much of the Bible includes parts of this and thier kind. But thier kind is seen as the "serpent" the evil race. Because the race that created us and started this war lead us to believe they were the evil ones. Now it's getting interesting huh? Trust me. I know. Take it for what you will. But I before reading this interview. Knew that reptillons were considered one of the species visiting earth. Little did I know that this was actually their planet first.
So she was asked why there was no skeletons of them or what not but are ones of dinosaurs. She said that there is but that our scientists kept putting them in the form of a "reptile" instead of what would be a humanoid bipedal intelligent being and that not only that but most museums have inaccurate representations of many of the dinosaurs. And even some completely made up ones. And that even some of thier bones were used to help create the Iquandon creatures skeletons and that neither were connected.
She also says that the sums rays make them smarter. Heats up thier blood and even gives them what we would consider a sexual arrousel stimulation. But since they've been forced into the depths of earth they use artifical sunlight which isn't as good but they basically lost the war on this planet.
She called us the Tall Whites Zoo experiment. And that's what we are. (Since I was little I always pondered this being the actual origin of our species) and at points during the interview she clearly sees the need to talk down on us. As we're inferior especially in the mental aspect of things.
They have mind techniques. Telekinesis, telepathic and so forth. Also a thing called Mimicry were they can project a image in our heads to make themselves appear human to us. To blend in. And that it's easier then normal because the Tall Whites or Nordics put capacitors in our minds and switches to do so. So that both species could stay undetected while we evolved as much as possible.
They eat things similar to us. And she even said she loves surface fruits like apples and oranges the most.
She states her species before us when living on the surface was already galactic. Made homes on the moon. Mars. Moons of Jupiter and so forth.
She says humans are very behind in the mental aspect of the universe and conscious. But that her species isn't even that great compared to many of the other species that visit earth.
The interviewer asked how many species is there visiting or staying here?
She said at least 14 from what she can tell. And to not ask him to name them all because much like her species we wouldn't be able to pronounce thier names and that her kind can only pronounce 6 of them and not the other 8
And that's so far what I've covered. I'm about halfway along in this interview. And going to read more.
As I said. I'm skeptical. Yes. But I do know that reptillons have been named as one of the species by humans. And that means there's a high chance this is a real interview.
What questions I'm left with. Is how to feel. Because I had already come to the conclusion myself we must have been produced by more intelligent beings. Now evolution can create intelligence. But it takes much more time then previously thought and that our evolution has been around 2 million years. When all animals we see have only evolved that far in 148 million years.
Our process was jump started by the nordics. Why? Idk. Not only that but if this is true we are not the 1st. Or 2nd. Or 3rd or 4th or 5th or even 6th. But 7th version of human. Like we are some new iPhone that comes every 15 thousand years.
Were the cromags? Neanderthal? And others alike the other versions?
The pyramids being built by an older ones much longer ago. I assume the Spynx as well. Which BTW not long ago it was discovered the sphynx had decades of water erosion damage. What does that mean? That it was built not in a time of dessert. But rainforest. Which putting that knowledge with this interview. Means it truly was made something like 75 thousand years ago. When the terrain was much different because of the tectonic plates.
I'm not done studying. Learning. I'm gonna be making one of these on the nrodics and what they are like and how they had hands in our religions. But also I think these are "our" creators.
If you ever watched Ridley Scott's prometheus movie I believe it was. They were looking for thier Devine creators. And found them and they were like very tall light skinned humanoid things. I feel it feels something like that to me now.
I feel the world as we know it. Us as we know it. Is much wrong. Much a lie. And the reptillion said parts of government know of them and thier species. But that it's a good thing that we don't know of thier kind.
And she reiterates that many times during the interview. That's why the developed tech to hide thier craft and use thier minds to hide their true self.
But why? Is it in threat or the nordics? What about the other 12 species occupying us ? She claims there are 8 I believe that are forms like us. Physical. 1 from a "bubble" and 3 from what she called a different "plane of existence"
All I'm saying. Is if this is what the government knows. It is starting to make sense for the secrets. At the same time we need to get this over with and out in the open. I get it. I'm still not understand myself how to digest this knowledge. Or what to do with it.
Dr Steven Greer said our US government is plotting a false flag operation with the back engineered crafts we man made to unite the world in a war against these aliens. And to make the aliens seem like a threat.
And thay reptillons have been in talks with us about the part they would play In this galactic war.
This is scary territory. Maybe why the whole needs to be secret has happened. Cause this is talking of galactic travel. Space wars. (Which we created space force for) and the revealing of our true nature. Now remember we were only excellerated evolution. I believe our ancestors would have evolved. If givin the millions or billions of years it took. But we are engineered into intellect.
This is what I've gathered. I started with all yjr eye witness testimonies from Greers work with ex military and eye witness accounts. And now this link. And so much makes sense to me. Though I'm skeptical of it. I can see now we have lived a sheltered existence and life.
Not only that but consciousness is so much more important then tech and so much more deep then we can can fathom. And the truth is we are inferior to every other species with these abilities.
Mind over matter takes on a whole new meaning for me now. Our conscious never dies it just goes into another Astral plain
Also. You know how people who lose limbs have what's called phantom limb syndrome? That's because thier spiritual form still has the missing limb. It's only the physical body that is missing it. Interesting stuff indeed. The reptillon also said in our early versions they were referred to as gods. Seprents. And that our race looked up to them and that many of the incas and myan cultures knew about these creatures because they traveled in these caves in Mexico. She said that they use technology to cover the doors in the caves that lead to their world. And If you ever find yourself in one know your in very big trouble. Another thing. Somewhere in the website I read about it was these reptillons thay created what we think of as "mythical" creatures. The centaurs, mermaids, half human half lizard serpents and so forth. That mermaids very much do exist in the deepest depths of the oceans. They stay far from us for what I can only assume is because they see how we treat the oceans and creatures within it. How we kill them endlessly for little gain. Poison the waters with oil etc... so these mermaids have chosen to delve deeper into the ocean.
Share your thoughts. I've been stuck delving further into this mystery. And excited and very scared at the same time.

As a child, in good faith, I took church leaders at their word when they told me the BOM was a "true", real, ancient record. The problem is, after believing this, I went down the path of what that would REALLY mean....which unfortunately leads to a dead end.
Just think if you REALLY found a document of an ancient people, isolated from other cultures and allowed to develop its own unique world... The book would be a treasure full of all sorts of unique, quirky facts.
One great example of a real, authentic quirky detail is how the Myan used coco beans as currency. This is such a unique piece of a real culture, dripping with richness and "you cant make that up" authenticity. The BOM should have been full of these unique and complex details, and not read like it was written from someone who could only paint using the limited pallet of western ideas when attempting to build a culture.
Another example is in 1 Nephi 17. where Nephi makes metal tools. Of all the things to document, he says he made "billows" and then describes how he hit two rocks together. This is NOT rich detail. now watch this video of all the steps that are really required to smelt ore. The gathering of ore, the building and operation of the bloomery, the making of charcoal, the layering of ore and charcoal. These are the meaningful details, if I was Nephi, i would carve in the plates. but instead, we get minimal detail that really creates the image of a blacksmith's forge, which is probably what Joseph was thinking of when he thought of metal being worked.

I love that music that blasts from the back of trucks in the religious processions and from temples like the one on kangding Rd in ximen, but most westerners seem to find it irritating. There's a lot of high pitch horns, drums and cymbols. It's quite a din when it gets going but I really miss it.
I can only find 1 example on YouTube and it's not quite the thing I'm looking for.

I'm a daily smoker and I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't like that people associate weed with him. The guy was on the JRE a while back and I remember listening to him talk and realized (and I don't mean this in a mean way, but) the guy is pretty dumb. He seemed clueless about a lot of things. Some of the things that were being discussed he would formulate opinions or questions that were so off the wall, or made so little sense I felt like the guy might be bordering on "the slow side"
Normally I wouldn't care. He seems like a super nice and friendly dude, so it's nothing against him or his personality; but I realized something after the podcast. Anytime some douchy person does a "stoner impression" they are basically just doing a riff on him: "Hey myan, why don't you just, like, chill or whatever... " or something like that. I theorize this because decades ago, people associated heavy weed smoking with that kind of personality and many people assumed he was like that from smoking too much weed, but in fact it's just kinda who he is as a person.
Again, I think he's a cool dude, and I'm so glad he's an advocate for legalization; but through no fault of his own, unintentionally had the public set a stereotype of a stoner being "dumb and lazy"

Just started to watch the episode where she comes across the monkeys and holy shit the cgi is sooo piss poor, I mean not Ex-Arms abysmal but some what close!! Like holy fuck I live the manga, but I cant get past the shitty cgi, myane if they used it like other animes do, like only for large battles, like how slime does it!! I got curious and purchased a Hiby R3 Pro Saber from a guy on Reddit who didn't want his anymore. The primary reason that I was even curious about it is the MSEB feature that lets you fine-tune your sound experience - keyword there, FINE TUNE (you want it set to Fine Tune range, 0 - 20. Not 0 - 100 which is "Extreme" range).
First off, I already had a Fiio M3K that I bought earlier from EBay for about 50 dollars. Used the M3K for multiple months and quite enjoyed my experience with it. It lacks the super fancy features like MSEB, but it does have an EQ with spaces for 3 custom configurations.
M3K sounds perfectly fine and with 320kbps 16 bit or 32 bit MP3 files, I would say it's definitely comparable to CD audio. (My two primary listening devices are a set of oval cup One Odio A71 ~NON-BLUETOOTH~ over ear headphones, and a set of wired Skull Candy Ink Plus earbuds).
With the Fiio M3K, you pretty much hear everything that you were meant to hear. It's pleasant. Nothing is really shrill or irritating so even without it having Hiby's MSEB feature, it's still a damn good player. But its goodness depends entirely on what you're listening with and at what bit rate your MP3 files were encoded at.
The Fiio M3K has absolutely ~fantastic~ battery life. A full TWENTY FOUR HOURS. You could listen to this thing for an entire DAY and I'm the kind of person that would do that, and I like being able to put off charges for a long time. I also like to sleep to music on an old Memorex MA9310MS "dock" that was originally meant for use with iPod, the wide gap in the middle area is the perfect spot to place a smartphone or an mp3 player and in my opinion that little Memorex dock has pretty good sound.
The M3K lacks one thing I really would have liked and that is an FM Radio receiver - the crappy little Rofeer I had before this had an FM Radio in it. My ~phone~ has an FM radio in it. I don't see why Fiio couldn't have included one in the M3K.

On to the Hiby R3 Pro Saber.
It's all metal - and I suspect this contributed a lot to the hefty price. And it isn't just some thin little shell, no. It's frigging THICK. Like car part thick.
There's two audio out ports. The standard 3.5mm headphone jack - and a "Balanced" jack. I don't have or use Balanced headphones. I have no idea what they are and I really just stick to normal headphones and earbuds. So unless it adds extra power for the bass I don't feel compelled to seek out Balanced headphones or earbuds anytime soon.
The sound on the Hiby R3 Pro Saber - even ~without~ the MSEB turned on - is pretty good. Though it has waaaaaaaayyyy too much treble to the point it causes me physical discomfort. I prefer a "dry" sound rather than a "wet" sound. Suppressed Cymbol Crashes with hardly any shine. Reduced sibilance on the "S" sounds. That's what I'm after.
With the MSEB I can get the sound ~I~ want. And it's easier to manipulate the sound with MSEB than it is to fiddle with an EQ bar.
Again - the Range needs to be set to something more nuanced before you can really use it in a way that isn't like trying to use a 10 ton wrecking ball to drive a nail.
Setting the Range to "Fine Tuning" helps substantially and your ears are going to be the best judge - you know what sounds good to you and what doesn't - so just pay attention to the shape of the sound when you're moving the sliders around.
I tried a lot of different music to get an idea of ~how~ I want the MSEB to make my music sound. Hip Hop. (Arsonists - Language Arts) Japanese Metal. (Dir en grey - Sajou no Uta). 80s Pop Rock. (Pat Benatar - Promises In The Dark). I wanted to have it pretty much be a Swiss Army Knife for whatever I'm listening to.
Before adjusting the MSEB, there was entirely too much treble for my tastes. After adjustment, it had a "warm" sound that didn't aggravate my ears with shrillness.
There are also settings for a Low Pass filter and Phase Correction. I honestly can't perceive any significant difference when I fiddle with these settings. I hear the most perceivable change when messing with the MSEB, and that's even with only a 0 - 20 range specified.
There's also a High Gain setting and a Low Gain setting. The High Gain makes it so you don't need to crank the volume all the way to hear your music, but it does seem to drain the percents off the battery faster. Low Gain is quieter but you can compensate by increasing the volume.
There's a "Minimum Volume" and a "Max Volume" - Minimum Volume is a nice way to set a volume that the player will automatically start at when you power it on, and the Max Volume is a great way to put a cap on how far you can turn it up so that you don't accidentally deafen yourself while trying to turn up a song.
One big gripe I have is that whether or not you have Gapless Playback or Crossfade enabled, it STILL skips the beginning of a track. So if you have songs that start with a word right up against the very beginning of the waveform, the Hiby is going to eat it. You won't get to hear the true beginning of the song, so be prepared to have to go into Adobe Audition and ~manually~ add a full 2 seconds of silence at the beginning of your tracks if you want to hear the start of the song. This isn't a problem on the Fiio M3K, it plays ~everything~ from the beginning of the waveform to the finish.
Navigation of the menu is pretty much similar to the Hiby Android App. It's a learning curve and coming from a very simplistic player like the Fiio M3K, it can take a while to figure out. The album art on songs is nice and big, but it's pixelated because this is still an old style TFT LCD like the one on the Fiio M3K, it's just bigger. About the size of half a phone screen.
If you're like me and you just put an album on and shove the player in your pocket or your back pack and go on a walk or a scooter ride, then the lack of an HD display isn't really going to bother you very much. It's a DAP, not a smartphone. You're not going to be looking at it all that much.
If you want a big clear screen that doesn't make your album art look all pixelated, go buy a used Motorola e5 Play. It won't sound super amazing but it'll play music and display your album covers nice and big and clean. Plus you can pull the back cover off of it and put a new battery in it when the old one runs out of juice. You CAN'T do that with any DAPs... (Would be super cool if you could).
And if you do get an e5 Play, you'll get an FM radio! The thing that Fiio and Hiby didn't think to include in their players.
I find myself swapping a lot back and forth between the Fiio M3K and the Hiby R3 Pro trying to make comparisons and I have to say that the M3K has a much more "Neutral" sound. Almost unexplainably "Nostalgic." Like listening to music on an old portable CD player from the late 90s. It's not overly bright and shiny. It's tight and clean.
But the Hiby R3 Pro Saber seems to have something about it that just makes it sound "off" with or without the MSEB turned on. What I mean is, some elements of a song are harder to hear - like certain instruments in a mix. And sometimes it's when rappers do their "ad libs" in between their crafty lines or their over-dubs where they stress a certain rhyme. They sound ~buried~ in the mix, and that's even with MSEB turned off. If most of what you listen to is Hip Hop, maybe this won't be the best player for you.
Vocals sound ~overly~ prominent in the mix. Again - without even applying the MSEB. I find myself preferring the M3K's sound, simply because it feels more "Organic" to me. More "Transparent" I guess? Heck. I dunno. Maybe I'm just weird in the ears or something?
Hiby R3 Pro Saber isn't a bad music player at all, it just doesn't sound very natural to me. With a little MSEB fiddling it does get there, but that suppression of certain instruments and burying of rapper's ad-libs and vocal overdubs is still there and it's very weird to me. It reminds me of when the cable on a set of earbuds would get partially broken and it sounded all screwed up because certain stuff was very obviously missing. It was like tearing the earbuds accidentally unlocked a magical hidden Karaoke Mode.
(Note: A vocal overdub is a technique used by both singers and rappers to put emphasis on a phrase - it's basically an extra vocal layer. "Shadows of The Night" by Pat Benatar has Vocal Overdubs. Mostly coming out of the left channel).
Maybe Hiby should have added another bar to their MSEB - "Stereo Separation."
The popular VST "RC20" - a vinyl simulation software for Adobe Audition, has a stereo separation knob and a bunch of other things that help shape and color the sound. I used it to make a "fake vinyl mix" of Kate Bush - Breathing. It sounded pretty damn good. I'm not asking Hiby to include a whole dang VST in their Digital Audio Players, that would just be silly. But a Stereo Separation adjustment slider would be a nice feature to have.
Anyway, enough with the sound.
On to the other stuff.
The battery life advertised on the Hiby R3 Pro Saber is 19 hours on the regular plug, 16 hours on the balanced plug (that I'm probably never going to use).
The Fiio M3K already has that beaten because it's got a full 24 hours of playtime.
I charged up the Hiby R3 Pro Saber to 100 percent battery capacity and I listened to Pat Benetar's "Best Shots" album, front to back and watched the percents start to roll down. It felt like for every 5 songs it got through, it would lose a percent on the battery gauge.
Maybe it's all just in my perception? Maybe the M3K loses percents that fast too, and the only reason I don't actively perceive it is because it doesn't have numbers but just some bars? Maybe if I disable the numbered percents on the Hiby R3 Pro Saber I won't really notice the battery life ticking away?

Maybe I'll get some One Odio A70 Fusion Bluetooth over ear "cup" headphones and try the Bluetooth out and see if the R3 is worth keeping. The A70s get up to 50 hours on a single charge. That's more hours than what the Hiby R3 itself has. The player itself will run out of juice before the headphones will.

When they first started the show they wanted a cool image to flash at the start of every episode. Alex wanted a six fingered hand but another show did it so they couldn’t. Alex told some of the team: “how about we do some, Myan, zodiac, cipher wheel thing? Yeah. Alex’s sister was obsessed with pigs which inspired waddles. Also one of the crew used to have a pig named waddles.
Alex said that in his mind when Dipper goes back into the party in “Double Dipper” he does dance. Maybe not with Wendy, but he does get into it.
Alex said that during the entire series they never thought about children once and just wanted to make each other laugh.
Also that he pushed for a lot more occult and boundary pushing things in the show, but Disney blocked them all.
