So, it’s been suggested that we present a simplified overview of the recent essays (linked below) that I co-wrote with respected analyst Hanna Kahlert, of renowned London-based MIDiA Research, which covered so much territory of interconnected concepts that all affect the current and future viability of the music industry. This summary eschews the essays’ “$10 words,” (with the exception of using “eschews” here!) with which some have struggled, and is shared in the bite-sized, more digestible form of a survey and petition in combination with this summary/bullet point preface of some of the most salient points. The survey and petition presents the essence of our thesis in the uncomplicated context of a proactive social impact campaign format.
First, let me explain. I grew up in a Long Island suburb town (about thirty miles outside New York City) during the “English Invasion” of music. I’d first hear new releases on my FM clock radio tuned to stations that prided themselves on finding the “cool stuff” first. It was a time when we were met almost every day with another astounding, mind-blowing record and artist to discover, often with something worth thinking about and culturally significant. Sometimes these releases would even be life-changing. Many of these recordings would become iconic — classic evergreens with songs covered endlessly. Yes, like today, there were also dismissable records then. The difference would seem to be that there are more songs about nothing today, replete with de rigeur profanity that only further detracts and is anything but “cool." While there are some very imaginative productions and impressive singers, there are few records now that demand a cerebral, emotional response, and there is a dearth that will be remembered as moving the needle at all, so to speak. Even customary love themes are largely just recycled imitations of the greats.
Since I also relate to the sensitivity of empaths — someone attuned to the deep feelings of those around them at a personal level — I tend to gravitate to music with a message that connects with us viscerally, that which touches the soul. Especially in our currently fraught times, there clearly is a need for thought-provoking music and for more attention given to the evolution of this genre of what was once deemed “protest songs.” Socially poignant music is a category that disguises protest in metaphors and yet is just as potent. It will create community and superfans, lift spirits, and engender a large movement of positive social advocacy. I established Socially Driven Music to develop and market #Music4APurpose. The concept resonated with Hanna Kahlert and we set about to co-write what we envision.
While developing our conclusions towards offering actionable, viable value-propositions for the music industry, we took several months to sort our ideas, research, digest and assimilate the daily deluge of information about changes battering the music industry. While I wasn’t aware that Mark Mulligan, MIDiA’s Founder and Managing Director, was developing his “Bifurcation Theory,” it is validating to be in sync with his thinking and to be presenting what I consider to be the roadmap to implementing that theory. I am excited about offering takeaways that will hopefully propel many away from feelings of helpless, hopeless despair and towards optimism and positive activism through the enrapture we seek from our music and the communities built around it.
Socially driven music has traditionally been a powerful way to raise awareness about issues across the board, such as Discrimination, Climate, Democracy, Mental Health, Bullying, Substance Abuse, Antisemitism, Equality, Homelessness, Veterans, Suicide,Terrorism, Gun Control, Women’s Productive Rights, Food and Clean Water Insecurity, Cancer and other illnesses, Animal Rights/Protection, Environmental Justice, Oceans, LGBTQ+ rights, etc. Our mandate recognizes the crucial difference of a sustained campaign animated by a song.
Above all, we must always remember and honor “The Greatest Generation” (and all Veterans) who fought and died upholding ideals that they expected us to continue to respect. Political affiliation is most often indoctrinated and not questioned individually. Support traditional Republican philosophy if you must, but #MAGA is not the antidote to Democrats and is authoritarian and dangerous to our democracy!
All causes, including music rights, are affected by the influence of a common denominator — politics. Each social cause group is a large community which can be further grown and energized with the natural evolution of fans to music superfans. Compelling socially thematic music enraptures and beckons fans to demonstrate their proud commonality and membership in a next generation fan club that can actually impact society with its fervor and political influence.

Good evening y'all (it's 11 pm EST)
I'm currently a college student pursuing an IT degree and I was speaking with my father in law about an idea for a writing skills development program. The basis of the program/website is to teach students from Elementary school to the highschool and collegiate level on how to write essays. He posits that his students he has worked with do not have a good grasp on how to format their essays and papers, which then falls short in their future academic courses and he wants to make a program that will help them step by step.
My general layout right now is that it will be split into different levels of writing. From Levels 1 through 5: Elementary, Middle School, High School, College Prep, and Collegiate level writing skills. Within each level, I'll have writing tips and exercises to help the students learn the proper way to write their essays, with the Five Paragraph Essay as the format they will be learning.
Level 1: Sentence Structure, Formatting, and Composition. This includes things like spelling, capitalization, punctuation, etc.
Level 2: Adding in proper grammar, sentence continuation, paragraph structure, readability and comprehension, editing skills (rereading to make sure it is grammatically correct, has proper punctuation, sounds academically thought out, etc). We'll introduce how to write and connect multiple paragraphs as well as intro, body, and conclusion.
Level 3: Here we'll reinforce sentence structure for Intro, body, and conclusion paragraphs as well as citation and source material research. We'll start on how to properly write a Five paragraph essay with the hourglass/pyramid format (Broad introduction that gets more specific when it gets to the thesis sentence, body paragraphs with point evidence and example sentences, and then specific reintroduction of main points to a broad conclusion of the thesis). [I may have this in the Middle school Level 2 section as this is something I learned in middle school] We will also introduce different types of essays such as Argumentative, Systhesis, Compare and Contrast, Narrative, Persuasive, etc.
Level 4: In this level we will introduce the importance of rough draft, revise and polish, editing and formatting, and college entrance essays and college application questions. This section will mostly be open to Junior (11th) and Senior (12th) grade students who are preparing for their academic life outside of Highschool. We will also be introducing how to write cover letters, resumes, and exploring the other side of life outside of High school.
Level 5: Collegiate level writing will focus on precision writing, using the fewest words necessary to accurately convey an idea. Objectivity, using accurate, clear and relevant information. Logical Structure, using precise word choice and structure. Researching, Formatting, time management, and consistence and conciseness. We will also go back to resume and cover letter writing for those who are looking for a career after a degree. We will be adding a section to help students with term paper writing as well as advancement (Masters and Doctorate level) writing.
I wanted to reach out to former, current, and aspiring English Teachers to ask for feedback on this idea. Is this something that you would use in your class as a teaching tool for your students? What can be done for this to be implemented in your classes if this website/program gets published? What things should be added, removed, improved, or changed in the current idea to make it go alongside the current English course curriculum in your school district? For my final thesis in college this semester (yay me!), I was able to choose any research topic and execute collection of data and analysis. My topic? “How does the Baby Boomer Generation and beyond (ages 65+) use social media to convey a sense of superiority over young generations?”
Listen. When I tell you the essay basically wrote itself, I mean it. I was able to study how boomers online use comment sections and their own posts as a way to bash everyone else who isn’t them…. Even if the post had NOTHING to do with being negative!
Highlights: - every comment would start off normal, then turn into a drag session. Example of an actual comment: “I used to go outside and play with other neighborhood kids. (Normal so far) That is something children these days refuse to do since they have TV and iPads (there is it)” - Many comments noted that spanking children should be more common, despite the posts having nothing to do with discipline - Any woman commenter that doesn’t look entirely geriatric in her profile picture would always get a reply comment from a horny man telling her how beautiful she is - As an attempt to facilitate where the middle ground is, I created a post that asked “what is something you’ve taught your kids/grandkids from the old days?” I was met with absolute spitting anger about how even their own grandkids don’t appreciate x,y, or z. Truly heartbreaking. - Any post that talked about being outdoors or similar, there would always be a comment from an older man who added a picture of him in his early 20s holding a gun and some sort of dead, bloodied animal - Any post that featured keywords such as: mom, family, love, etc.. always had comments from mothers who were complaining they hadn’t seen their kids in x amount of years and how it’s not their fault.
Facebook community groups are a breeding ground of hatred and anger towards younger generations for boomers, after a month and a half of research, and sorting through over 1,000 comments, I can say I was only able to sort less than 50 in a “positive” pile— meaning there was no hint of negativity or anger towards a younger generation…. And that’s being generous.
And, please, don’t get me started on absolutely terrible situation the spam is in these communities. They are relentless, and boomers seem to be falling for exclusively the comments that say you can “triple your money” or “find your true love now”.
As sad as this thesis was to do once I compiled all of my data, it was still interesting. I’d like to explore more on where this sense of hatred comes from eventually.
TL;DR- final thesis paper this year focused on how boomers get angry about younger generations online. They are aggressive towards iPads, kids these days, and even their own kids and grandchildren, for seemingly no reason.

A few days ago, I received a file from a journalist friend who teaches at a private university in Montevideo. I known this person for years now and the exchange with her on our countless bar nights basically made me want to try to study journalism. After I started my career we became even closer and we shared concerns about the evolution of information, social media and the infamous cerebral callosity we acquired to endure the tragedy.
My friend, let's call her Valeria, was part of a public competition to accompany a minor scientific expedition to the Uruguayan Antarctic base. Her thesis was about investigating how information reception behaves in remote and isolated areas.
I barely read it , but basically tries to show that information circulates and is received in a particular way in these circumstances by a group of unfamiliar people living under extreme climatic and isolation conditions, having as an example, life in submarines and in military bases in Siberia. The Antarctic base gave her the chance to observe some of her postulates up close.
Finally, she was chosen and traveled with this scientific group in a commercial flight Montevideo - Santiago de Chile to later arrive at Punta Arenas and fly to the Antarctic base.
The last communication I had with her before she sent me the almost 90 photographic captures of the Journal, was on March 15, 2024.
We talked over the phone about how the weather was in Montevideo, that it does not stop raining and the cars are practically floating on the streets. She told me that the transport that was going to take them back was having mechanical problems and they would probably have to order spare parts for the plane from Punta Arenas. Then She told me that it is freaking cold down there and his colleagues are all very boring. Nobody has whisky for the evenings. We laughed about that part because I told her to bring at least one bottle of Grappa in her purse.
Before saying goodbye, she told me they had spotted some old metal structures south of the base. The soldiers told her that it was safe to go near that part so she was going to explore them. It wasn't there when they first arrived and that the recent and atypical heat wave probably must have exposed it. I told her to be careful and we said goodbyes.
Three days later I received an email. “Valeria shared a file with you.” As I start to see what it was about she calls me.
“Mauro? MAURO!, can you hear me?” She said in a nervous and excited voice.
“I can barely hear you, what happened?”I asked half asleep, while still lying on my bed.
“Listen to me carefully, don't talk, just listen” I could tell by her agitation that she was walking fast or maybe running. The creaking footsteps in the snow could be heard in the background. in the distance, a catastrophe-type siren was blaring.
“Are you alright? What happened? What's that noise?” I said, now sitting on the edge of my bed.
“I sent you a file. Transfer it to a flash drive, delete history and reset your cell phone, the computer and your email address. I'll explain everything later, it'll be worth it.”
“What? What are you talking about Vale?, what for? Tell me what's going on - I started to yell at her, in slide panic.
“Listen, I found something that is not supposed to exist. In the diary he explains everything. I'm going back to the base, I think someone is following me, I set off an alarm or something. Save that file for me until I get there and remember that... “
There were two loud booms and the sound of water invading the transmission. A choked bubbling and cracking sound reminded me of ice collapsing. My friend had fallen into the water, in Antarctica.
“HEY, are you OK?! What happened?!” - I kept screaming hysterically until the call was cut off.
I looked at my cell phone for a second. My hands were shaking, I tried calling several times but the phone went dead. I looked at the compressed file. I jumped up and ran to the dining room furniture, frantically looking for a white flash drive that had to be in a drawer somewhere. I couldn't find it, so I went back to my desk. I pulled the drawer so hard that it came off the rail and fell to the floor. I started to dig through my belongings on the floor, coins, papers, cards, nothing.
I thought, I struggled to remember where I had fucking put it. Finally I saw my backpack peeking out from behind the desk chair, I jumped on it and in the second small pocket from the inside, there was a cheap white 16G flash drive. I put it in the pc, downloaded the file directly there, took it out and fabric restored the entire system on the computer. I do the same with my cell phone as Valeria said.
At the time I didn't even question if those measures really prevented me from being tracked, and the idea that that was the reason made panic run through my body like lightning. Sitting on the floor of my room next to the mess, my body was numb with tension. After a few seconds, I rebooted my cell phone to try to call Lucia, her sister.
“Hello?”
“Lucia, it's that you? I think something bad happened to Vale, I hear her over the phone as if she fell into the water, and some rumbling. I don't know what I heard, I think she got into some trouble or some place she shouldn't have been - I realized that I was mumble and not saying anything clear. For some reason, I didn't mention the file.
“It can't be Mauro, I just spoke to her on the phone. She was at the airport in Santiago de Chile at the boarding lounge, we talked for about half an hour, she told me she was bringing a fancy bourbon to share and…”
I stopped listening, it didn't make sense, how could it be? what the fuck is going on!
“Mauro, are you ok? Is something wrong? it's too early, are you sure you didn't dream it?”
“Did you talk to her? half an hour ago? But...,” I exclaimed without being able to hide my confusion.
“Are you... sure it was her?”
“Yes, of course you moron, it's my sister! Did you smoke pot again on an empty stomach?”
“No, you're right, nevermind, thanks Lucia, talk to you soon.” I ended the call without letting her say goodbye.
Had I dreamt about it? I erased everything now, how will I know if I dreamt it? I hesitated absurdly.
This is surreal, I thought to myself as I looked at the flash drive in my hand. I refocused my attention and went to the attic looking for my brother's old laptop he left me before going to live in Spain. It was practically useless, but it was enough to see the file. I turned it on, waited for the decrepit Windows XP to load, and put the flashdisk in, opened the compressed folder and found two files.

I decided to open the journal first. From what I interpreted from the loading order of the screenshots, after reading it, I opened the image of the last page.

Day 243 of the 2nd mission 10: 40 am. March 12, 2019.
I am the head researcher of the Psychological Area at the UN Antarctic base; I'm currently assigned to Project Sisyphus categorized as the highest classified rank.
This is going to sound crazy, but the person living with my family is my clone.
It still surprises me when I say it out loud, but after being able to replicate the brain-muscular history (a perfect copy of our memory) of any person and having mastered replicating every cell of our bodies at any age, it was only a matter of time before the development of social biotechnology would emerge. Now and by worldwide agreement, as a complete secret.
There is absolutely no shame or a shred of ethics in what we do, there is no longer any constraint on what we can do to the subjects for the sake of research. That haunts me every day.
It all went to shit so fast, I doubt anyone will come to our rescue. The protocol says so, the base in the face of an imminent security risk will erase itself. The structure was designed to collapse methodically following a protocol of incineration and sinking. The immediate perimeter has underwater mines that make the ice collapse almost imperceptibly, but deadly to anyone who tries to leave.
No one can escape from the base, neither the research staff nor the subjects. Our place in the world is already taken.
I only hope that this journal along with my lab notes will be found at some point. I managed to construct a small insulating gasket for it so I trust it will survive in case this part of the building collapses as well.

At the exact moment I ended the reading I received a video call that made me jump with fright, it is...

With my pulse shaking, I answered the call.
“Hi you! The flight was delayed, can you believe it? This one is absolutely in my top three, worst trips of my life. I'm really hungry and everything is so expensive here. What are you up to? Tell me something, please, I'm soooo bored!”
I looked at her with confusion and I couldn't manage to pronounce words. When I was about to modulate an answer she interrupted me.
“What's the matter Mauro?, are you on pause? Is the signal OK? HELLO! Can you hear me? Can you see me?” She started to walk through the boarding lounge looking for better signal
“Yes yes, Valeria I can hear you.”
She laughed and looked at me with a face between sensual and serious, and continued.
“Do you miss me?” while raising the phone jokingly as she typically does in her selfie pose.
“Valeria, don't you remember calling me earlier today?”
“I? called you? Nop. Why? Ah! By the way, did you know there are penguins in Tierra del Fuego? I would have liked to go and see them.” She continued his verbose conversation in a carefree tone, with her typical hand gestures and playing with his hair.
“Well, at last!” She interrupted herself and shouted, jumping up from her chair.
“We are being called to board, see you in a couple hours!” She said goodbye with a smiling sonority, and began to walk towards the boarding gate.
But at the last second, before ending the call, her gesture changed. She looked directly at the camera with a hardened and emotionless face and almost mechanically, she whispered.
“(I'm going to retrieve that diary).”
My stomach dropped to the floor and I could feel as if my blood was running cold with fear. I could not shake the awful and eerie feeling that this person, who was returning, whom I had never in my life called by her full name, was not my friend.
So, the next couple of hours I put everything in to transcribe the rest of important passages of the diary. Something was compelling me to do it, i can't explain it, Some mix between moral duty, and morbid curiosity. Here is my selection of it.

First physical assessments: Normal, alert and inquisitive, exhibits some alteration to screens.
We place 100 cc of sedative in room air. The subject attentively follows the narrative of scenario B5 “The last mission”.
The subject responds positively to the premises of the story, where he is asked to address an audience threatened by a natural disaster, convincing them to choose a certain path out of the city.
He offers to collaborate but fails to articulate the message with the power to overcome the simulation.
We resort to pouring 125cc of concentrated Psilocybin into the air as stipulated in the protocol sheet.
The vocal frequency and body language reading receptors in the observation room are activated. The subject manages to formulate a series of premises articulately and with discursive power, circulating around the observation room.

Today we received a new lab assistant for the night shift. Much needed as I was covering these shifts myself and am really burned out. The underground operates at full power at those hours, the hum of the machinery becomes unbearable. This must be why the rooms have an insulating structure.

Day 112 of the 1st mission 19:00 pm January 08, 2017.
The new integration is not very bright. He labeled the transcripts wrong again yesterday and doesn't seem to fully understand the importance of these. I'm going to have to go through the whole method with him again. I don't have much patience lately, it's not his fault, he seems like a nice guy and it's real that I need a second of confidence. Better train him from now on. Maybe start a sketch of a short explanatory document.

Small introductory guide.
When the subjects conclude the incubation and breeding process (pages 19 to 52 of the manual), that is to say, that they have at least remembered speech and with it, depending on the time in which they lived, reading and writing, they generally begin to perceive themselves. Just before situational curiosity is when the psychology department comes into action. Either to run the “stand by” simulation or the main tests.
In each subject's file is the target of their cloning, the era in which they lived, and the recommended scenarios to trigger the desired response. If the file has X amount on the cover, this corresponds to the generation of the subject, whether it is the first or 10th time it is incubated.
Generally, it takes between 2 and 5 attempts to generate the correct simulation, and administer the appropriate drugs.
It took 5 attempts to come up with the correct amount of methamphetamine that subject AH X005 (Hitler) needed to function in the scenario, as the correct amount bordered on overdose.
Simulations are much easier since the implementation of multisensor AI. We managed to generate almost any scenario including temperature, smells, lights and sounds. We tried not to use familiar ones, as human smells are impossible to replicate. We found this out in a complicated way. We tried to recreate a conversation between RR subject X003 (Reagan) and his mother, but he recognized the fakery by the absence of body odor. His mind collapsed and we had to move him to the Underground. The people in Area C (Private Clients) almost lost a very large Chinese account.
After calibrating the subject, we ran both psychological and behavioral tests, scanned retinas, analyzed blood, as well as vocal and body language. But what has really yielded surprising results are the free interviews. It is amazing what some minds are capable of with the right environmental and chemical stimulation. That's why transcription is vital (!!)
Our area develops BC (Behavioral Algorithms) which are then bought by the private sector, and some government agencies.
To give you some examples: Twitter was an idea of subject JO X008 (Orwell).
Bots in social media and the use of big data was an idea of JG X002 (Goebbels) and KM X014`s worst nightmare (Marx) was bought by Amazon.
It is an arduous process and the success rate is low, but when we achieve the goal per subject, well, these results are a mein part of the latest revolutions of mankind.
So follow the lab rules, never refer to subjects by their actual historical name, and always remember, they are assets, not people.

Day 117 of the 1st mission 16:30 am January 12, 2017.
Today is a rest day all over area D. I miss many things from the old world that I thought I would never miss, taking a bus, standing in line with strangers, and today I miss Sundays. We only have one on the month. So as usual we gather in the rest area to listen to a liberated jukebox that tries to lighten the mood. I know, right? Why I wrote about this “Saturday” photocopy, well besides the same nostalgic drunks, I was approached by a person I didn't recognize.
From what I understood he was a rehabilitated alcoholic, maybe that's why I didn't see him on “Saturdays”. He must be in his 50's, he was portly and wore thick black-rimmed glasses, he seemed to have a slight limp, I noticed it when he went to refill my beer.
I am a very reserved person and find it hard to talk to people. Truth be told, I've lost the desire to talk to people here. What can you actualy fucking talk about here, if it's not about the same thing. Everything revolves around work and some inter-area gossip, which never escalates much.
But yesterday was Clara's birthday and to hide the remorse and sadness of only having shared with her the first 3 years of her life, I had a few too many beers.
We chatted about banal aspects of life in isolation, and the things we miss. For him it was going to the stadium to watch soccer with his grandchildren. I think it was loneliness and nostalgia that brought us together that night.
His name was Sigfried, I don't know if I spelled it right, but it was clearly Nordic, i notice because of some of the words he mixed up with English. He works as the underground level security manager. We all know that it is one of the most restricted areas and what we have learned in these almost 10 years in the project, is that the more restricted, the less questions you should ask.
But that day, I think I felt the urge to hurt myself, to go off the rails, so I asked what we all suspected but no one knew for sure. I asked about the blenders. I wish I hadn't.

Day 126 of the 1st mission 08:00 am January 21, 2017.
I almost can't express how furious I am today, but I'm going to try because if I don't, I'm going to punch the new assistant in the face. He has nothing to do with this, he's just mildly irritating.
Anyway, in Genetic Mapping or area A, they approved the incubation of another Anomaly. It seems to be an express request from a major shareholder and there is not much to say. Anomalies are very risky to reproduce, nature is wise, and for some reason it placed them in history moments where they had their limitations.
It seems that after the crisis of 2010 with “The Russian Devil” it is no longer scary enough. New school morons... If they had been there they wouldn't even dare to think about it. I AM FURIOUS.
The arguments are that this case lived longer, that the clone would be in his 70s, and that he possessed noticeably more “civilized” traits. As if the court of the last Zar had not been somewhat civilized.
Personally I think this is a big mistake. Since the discovery that some people possess unknown DNA components and with the 2010 background, they should draw the line. There are certain things, still beyond our ability to understand. But it is delusional of me to think that there are limits, someday the absence of them will consume us all.

Today was the last session with subject JON X012, I managed to extract the last retinal and body language readings, as usual before sending them to Underground level. We ran the dinner scenario, the truth is that is one of the best simulations we have achieved. The subjects are relaxed resulting in the best free interview environment. This one was no exception, I must say I understand the charm of the “messiah” turned out to be quite an entertaining subject. I hope his next generation will be similar.

I was tasked with the continuous monitoring of subject NT X004. I am not at all happy with this transfer. First of all, I know nothing about area B of engineering and technology. Secondly, I still think this is a really bad idea.
One of the laboratories has been set up with the essential simulation equipment and personnel. Tomorrow we start with the calibration.

Lab notes day 153 of the 1st mission 08:00 am February 17, 2017.
First interview with subject NT X004, we run simulation scenario 54-A, “Signal from another planet.”
Subject is observed to be receptive at first but quickly changes to paranoid. We administer 300cc of MDMA via air, according to protocol.
We introduce the reconstructed figure of a colleague in a cry for help speech.
The Subject laughs and doesn't believe a word, we move to a physical approach plane,
I volunteer myself with a room operator from the engineering area, we show him unfinished plans of an experimental vacuum propulsion engine.
He laughs again and tells us that we are not who we say we are.
We administer 50cc of DMT and move on to the next scenario.
From the screen an astronaut with non-human features sends a distress signal and intergalactic coordinates.
The subject looks thoughtful, reassesses, picks up the blueprints and begins to shout out values and what appears to be mathematical and physical formulas.
Air is charged with percentages of absolute sedation.

I'm not sure what happened today, this is the first time in 10 years that a subject overcame the deception of 3 simulations. We had to place absolute sedation in the air, as risky as we know it is. I recommended that we restart the process from scratch, but it was a resounding no, the client is in a hurry.
I need to get more involved in this case to recalibrate the subject. I don't know if I want to. The words before full sedation still resonate with me. “are you still using DC current? interesting...”

Something happened, I don't quite know what. The rooms have an emergency lockdown active. Outside hear security personnel mobilizing. I tried the intercom but it didn't work. The insulation prevents my screams from being heard from the outside. If this goes on another day I'm going to break the lock. I'm going to set my backpack to the bare minimum.

Day 157 of the 1st mission 21:00 pm February 21, 2017.
Yesterday I heard explosions in the B area. I couldn't take it anymore and broke the lock. Whatever it was I had to go out and see. The corridors were dark, and the underground buzzer went on, at least that worked.
I went right to the north staircase, down the 4 floors in near darkness, the power was failing. The entrance to the underground area was barricaded but I managed to see a figure peeking out from inside as they felt me making noises.
It was Sigfried, he pointed me in the doors direction and I entered through a heavily armored side door. I was surprised by the immensity of this section, it encompassed a large hall below almost all the sectors of the base. In front of us there were 4 large industrial pipes with switches and multiple smaller pipes coming out of their bases. These were repeated like mosaics throughout the area until they disappeared into the distance in the darkness.
Leaning against one of them were 3 officers in formerly white coats and a nearly dead guard bloodied on the floor. Poor guy, his legs were crushed with his flesh in the open. He was lying in a pool of his own blood.
He had a blank stare and was panting, it seemed from the pale of his skin, that his fate was imminent. My asthma began to pound in my chest sharply, so I reached into my bag looking for my inhaler. I told them between visible gasps of bad breath to please tell me what's happened.
One of the doctors had a badge from area B and another from area E which corresponds to bio-armamentistics. The latter burst into tears and said “We deserve it, every one of us, we deserve it”.
I knew the other guy, he is an engineer in area B. I could hear him babbling almost nonsensically about, as why they never thought about it, an issue with electrical power.
He looked at me carefully as if recognizing me and grabbed me tightly by my jacket pulling me close to his face transformed for the panic.
“He let them out, all of them!” but not only that, no no no no... he told them the truth. Nikola fucking Tesla hacked us and told them the truth.”
He began to laugh frantically with a face of absurdity until he burst into a choked cry. At that moment everything went dark. The emergency lights activated, and from far away and getting closer, along with the emergency sirens that began to sound, we heard a large mass of people screaming and running through the corridors outside.
Sigfried looked at me as they started to pound on the shielded door and said.
“We're fucked.”

After finishing the transcription, my whole body began to want to flee, the walls of my house were tinged with a faint blue light as the cloudy dusk came through the window, the lights turned off by my abstraction at the computer gave way to the dark corridors that began to feel alien. As I gently closed the pc my ears began to ring as if under pressure, my breathing became more present and the vibration of my cell phone interrupted my trance.
A call from the office. It was to tell me that I had a vacation week pending, that by schedule, I had to take it starting today.
Sons of bitches, now they even choose your time off - I thought at first, but at the same time I found the voice on the phone very strange, and to tell the truth, the procedure itself.
The anger turned into confusion that only added to the paranoia. The sounds in the street began to seem erratic, a chaotic and strangely familiar feeling came over me. My senses seemed increasingly acute, and they screamed:
Go away.
I grabbed the old laptop, the flash drive and headed for the bus station. The short trip from my house seemed like a long journey. People on the street looked at me with strange faces, the cell phone kept ringing with unknown numbers on the screen and a strange idea began to formulate in my head that whispered “Them, Valeria is one of Them”.
Already on the platforms I rummaged through my backpack where I confirmed that I had the key to the family beach house in San Luis, 60 km to the east of Montevideo. I turned off my cell phone, got on a bus heading to another and much far away town called Treinta y Tres. Sat near the last seat and slipped my cell phone in my front pocket of the seat in front of me, got off and commented to the driver with a clueless face, “I got confused, I'm going to the coast”.
I almost jumped onto the steps of the correct bus to where I was heading, unable to avoid the gazes of the passengers questioning me for the last minute drop in. I sat in my numbered seat and defragmented in dissociation, trying to understand what I was doing, I was running away, but from what?
The images of the last transcriptions were engraved in my mind, the last paragraph was repeated over and over again making me shake my head from time to time trying to get them away from my thoughts. The road was dark and I lost track of time, the digital clock within sight of the passengers jingling since we left, reading 10:40.
“San Luis Station!” - I heard the guard's shout in low volume.
I staggered to my feet, hurried to get off and with the same impulse I entered the dirt roads.
I zig-zagged through the dark, cold and silent beach town. The moonless night and the smell of the sea calmed me.
When I turned the corner to the gabled beach house of my family, on the steps of the front door lit by a white light, was her. Sitting, waiting for me. I stopped dead in my tracks and a chilling vertigo ran down my torso to my throat. We looked at each other for a short two seconds, until she stopped and started walking in sliding steps towards me, smiling and playing with her hands, crossing and uncrossing her arms. The growing sound of the wind through the trees covered us.
“Darling, how are you? How nice is the summer house, I don't think we ever came here, did we? Is it the one your grandmother left you?”
I felt the adrenaline rushing through my bloodstream, how could such a familiar attitude from such a familiar person transmit such panic to me? I had to answer something.
“Yes, this is it. I came to clear my head for a while, they gave me a few days at work and I wanted to take advantage of it.” I tried to excuse myself with failed dissimulation, since I stuttered in the middle of the words.
“Yes, I know! We arranged it with them, so you can be more relaxed and as a gesture for taking care of the file. Ah! and another thing. I think someone stole your cell phone at the bus station.” She looked at me with a smart-ass smile.
“Anyway, don't worry, they already found it on a bus on the way to “Treinta y tres”. You can get it back later.”
At this point I opened my mouth to ask for explanations, but as terrified as I was I only mumbled a “thank you”.
All this dialogue let us half a body length away, Valeria looked at me now a little more serious and stood at my side. She took my arm petrified and I could feel how a strong smell of neutral soap invaded me, as if she had rubbed herself in it too much.
“Shall we go inside? it's getting cold,” She said, finishing the sentence with a sweet gesture of pleading.
“Emm, shure.” I said.
My trembling hands managed to hit the lock on the 3rd attempt, we entered, turned on the lights and from his backpack she took out a red wine. Our favorite.
“Bring me some glasses, Mauro”. - She said to me as she sat down on the armchair against the window overlooking the gentle hills outside.
She poured wine until he almost filled the ex-cottage cheese glass, looked at me and in a toast gesture said.
“To... Dr. B?”
I slid a little smile and raised my eyebrows. Then I took half a glass in one sip.
“Well!” - She exclaimed, leaning over and resting the glass on the coffee table, and continued.
"You must be very confused, I understand, I saw it many times, the mind trying to adapt to a new, unsuspected reality and in your case all at once. It is not easy. First, make sure that no one is going to hurt you or anyone you know, second, what you read in that file, as you may have noticed, is not intended for public knowledge. Also to tell you”. I couldn't take the stress anymore, I exploded.
“You're not Vale. Who are you?! You're almost identical, but....”
“Ah yes, that one it's a tricky one to explain. Let's try, let's see:
“I'm a version of Valeria that she accidentally gendered when entered the lab. In one of the incubation rooms she touched a scan button that photographs her mind for 48 hours. It contains a micro needle that took her blood and thus generated me.”
“The thing is that we were in a situation of self-destruction of the systems, and that part of the programming code of the protocol was also copied in Valeria's mind.”
“And Valeria? She 's... dead?”
“Well, yes and no. If she tried to leave the base she's probably dead. if she's still there, she's probably frozen to death or killed by the cleanup command, but basically, if I'm here, she's not anymore.”
the coldness with which she answered me made me lose the little calm I had, I got up from the armchair and started to back away with my hands on my head, I couldn't stop repeating,
“this can't be happening, this can't be happening”.
“Hey! Mauro, calm down, it's going to be alright. I'm Valeria too. In every way, I'm still your friend, I know who you are and everything we went through, really, it's me, and when I finish managing the leak, the code, it won't work anymore, it will be erased from my mind and I'll be me. So don't worry. You only have to give me the flash disc and this issue ends here. We go back to normal life and nobody will know about anything.
“I'm not going to pretend that my friend didn't die! Alone, fucking freezing to death, I'm not going to let you take her place, I'm not going to let you!” - She interrupted me.
“Mauro, listen to me” - She came closer to me and grabbed my hands, her big, lined eyes looking at me with sweetness, like so many times before.
“I AM Valeria, I have the same fingerprints, the same blood, the same DNA, the same memories, the same scars, absolutely everything. Are you going to tell my mother that I died? to my sister? Are you going to report me? Nobody is going to believe you at all. If anyone even wants to believe you, how would you prove it? I am an exact copy”. - she told me, smiling with real sweetness and empathy.
I could only cry, for my friend, for the helplessness of the conclusion that she was right. I collapsed on the couch, and watched as the hills swayed in the night.
“Let's have the last glass and I'm leaving.”- she said to me.
“After I give you this, and that part of you disappears, will you remember that you are not... really Valeria?
“No, there is already a simulation on pause about Valeria's last week, she won't remember anything about this situation when she wakes up, because the memory is simply overwritten.”
“So I'm going to be the only one to know about this?”
“Take it as a gift Mauro, a glimpse behind the veil. And if you keep it that way, everything will be fine” - The threatening tone was soft but evident.
“Okay, hand me your PC and the flash drive.”
I looked at her evaluating all possible actions and if this decision was the right one, she stretched out her hand and smiled sympathetically. I gave her the old computer and the black 16G flash drive with the file. She inserted it, typed mechanically fast until the screen went black.
“Perfect, That would be all - She took out the flash drive, threw it on the floor and stepped on it violently with the heel of her shoe, put on his backpack and headed for the door.
“Stop,” I said.
“The things that Dr. B wrote... about the underground…
“Yes, they are true, it was the only way to be self-sustainable and to be able to isolate the complex from the rest of the world. Even the most morally flexible scientists would question the work if they knew where the subjects ended up, and what we were doing with their bodies... Anyway, I'm going home, Lucia called me 5 times already. Talk to you tomorrow.
“Love you,.” - She smiled at me and closed the door behind her. I felt a car slowly drive away from the house.
From my pocket I took out the white flash drive and looked at it. Now I had a decision to make.

Obviously this is a rather inciting bit of insight. It has high potential for controversy due to it targeting "no means no" (henceforth NMN) as being a valid means of conferring autonomy towards a woman's decision whether to accept carnal advances. Plus, it's entirely anecdotal and derived from an extremely small sample size. Bear with me, please, because I'm not discrediting NMN but rather posing an admittedly odd suggestion that it's being mis-applied in contexts entirely unrelated to its original purpose.
In my job, I come from a position of experience and regularly coach more recent hires. In my past, through years of trial and error, plus listening and enquiring about the different strategies that other people teach me, I would learn, adapt, and overall improve my performance and thus be confident in what I suggest. Even to do this day, if someone has a suggestion for me, then I listen. And if I don't automatically agree with the recommendations they provide or I don't understand how they reached their conclusions, then I ask questions until typically we reach a mutual understanding and both act in agreement. Through cogent arguments, we resolve differences to better ourselves and overall perform at a higher level. When both parties are being sensible about approaching a disagreement this way, it leads to such good results and should be considered common sense. Therefore, while I don't expect, nor necessarily want, the people under me to automatically agree with everything I propose, I do at least want them to intelligently discuss our different approaches and use reason to achieve understanding.
Younger men and older women (30+) tend to apply the direction that they’re given or they apologize for deviating. But, if they tend to be recalcitrant, their reasoning tends to be more goal-oriented: “I’m fast and generate the results you want regardless of method”, or “Doing what you want is reliant on external factors like corporate or customer cooperation that I don’t think will be appreciably affected by my efforts”, or “I’m just here for the paycheck and don’t really care to listen.” I don’t really like the cynicism prevalent in these kinds of responses, but at least they give me an idea of how the person is processing the recommendations.
However, I noticed a tendency for younger women (in their 20s) to apparently just shut themselves off when contested. They would say, "Well, I think my way is better" and, when asked "why" they think that way, they would say, "I don't have to justify myself", or "I just think it's better," or "please stop arguing", or "you just don't understand me," or they stop talking (acting like they agree with what I finished saying) and continue to do what they want. So, I would tell them something like how they're not making an effort to be compelling and so they can't expect their point of view to be persuading -- and then they just say something like, "I don't need to be persuasive" or "It doesn't matter, because I'm right."
For example:
Me: "If you want to convince someone that your method is best, then you need to establish how it's more efficient, right?"
Her: "Sure."
Me (condensed): "With my technique, you skip steps 2 and 4 without compromising performance."
Her: "Okay..."
Me: "So, what benefits would your strategy offer?"
Her: "I don't have to explain."
Me: So, how do you expect to persuade me, or anyone at all, with that kind of dismissive treatment? If you want to show me how you're right, then you should either counter my points or offer more compelling points."
Her: "I don't have to do anything for you."
That was a really disconcerting conversation. Her behavior, as someone who was only in the industry for a few months, was nonsensically antagonistic, made even more peculiar because I was both a longstanding member of the workforce and also her manager. I was flummoxed, because she seemed like an otherwise intelligent girl who was going through college for a science degree and it seems inconceivable that she would have gone through all of that education without developing critical thinking skills for the formulation of a thesis in various assignments. She may even have been trolling me, but then why would she ever debase herself with the surety that her stance was the end of discussion and that I was rude for not second-guessing myself? That is, she was acting confident -- and I doubt that someone would act confident if they understood that their behavior was deliberately being, well, dumb. It's like someone saying, "I'm right because 2+2 equals 56 and orange rhymes with blue": it’s patently insane and therefore no sane person would consider it and think they can "get away" with saying it. But, if they *believe* that they're sane, then I'm working with a large number of genuinely insane people; or they're just being rebellious trolls trying to get away with poor work ethic; or they are operating on some kind of premise that conveniently justifies what they want. Arguably, it has to be at least one of those, right?
I've debated a lot of people over the years on various topics and found many cases of flawed thinking. People can be rather egotistic and, therefore, automatically conclude that their conclusions are correct and they would, when contested, retroactively justify themselves. They would also disregard data, exhibit semantic inflexibility, jump to conclusions, make appeals to authority, and do so many other things that left me dismayed. It’s universal, so nothing to do with generations or gender. But that was mainly "flawed thinking" -- it wasn't "no thinking", this tendency to shut off completely from talking and treating any attempt to do so like it's an insult. But why are younger women, specifically, almost exclusively the ones observed to do this?
So, I wondered: in what circumstance can young women predominantly consider themselves justified for saying nothing more than "no" and have it be socially acceptable? Eventually, after several years, NMN, comes to mind.
There's probably several different versions of NMN:

1. Don't assault someone. Unless they provide enthusiastic consent, then any verbal or carnal activity directed towards them is considered assault. (Valid as it is, this is *not* the one I'm referring to for the purposes of this thought experiment.)
2. Don't pressure someone. If they refuse to provide enthusiastic consent, then the only correct course is to obey and abey. No-one is obligated to explain why they said no, and any attempt to ask is not only rude but liable to be considered pressure, which can be tantamount to harassment. NMN: "I reached my decision and staying in this topic means disrespecting my autonomy. No means ... no explanation needed."

Assuming that NMN in this 2nd context is being circulated and normally accepted, then is it possible that this proverbial "get out of jail free card" has been extrapolated for use to supplant general discourse and reason? I certainly hope not, because it's ultimately taking a matter of consent and transposing it onto matters of goal-oriented thought processes based on real-world, measurable factors external to one's moods and desires. They just can't be used together. But apart from the aforementioned insanity or puerile rebellion (which, allow me to insist, are both still plausible in a given case), that's the only other potential line of thought I found that's separate from those possibilities. This line of thinking has been disconcerting and I wanted to express it in writing to help understand it better.
Saying "no" and accepting it as a matter-of-fact is a ridiculously impractical way to function in a world that doesn't necessarily guarantee to match every one of someone's expectations, so how does it happen at all? If someone goes through life living with a mental rule like that which makes it impossible to address a roadblock on its own terms, then they're going to find many problems to be unpassable. They'll just get angry. At some point, when faced with enough problems that simply saying "no" can't overcome, then you'd think that people would quickly grow out of that myopic way of thinking. Or they'll simply act angry and closeminded whenever they're contested and hopefully the people talking to them just give up with exasperation -- being right by merit of being pure stubborn, so to speak. But then, why do they do it at all, regardless of the origin? Well, why not phrase it more broadly: why do so many people commit just general fallacies so common that these fallacies can be readily found online? Well, that requires some assumptions on my part. Maybe most people go through life unchallenged: they follow the status quo, or they don't feel comfortably experienced to define their own conclusions for many things, or they're tested in education for retention rather than critical analysis. Egotism, as mentioned above, can also play a role in deciding how one wants to approach life. Thus, they may not develop the skills to think nor the open-mindedness to consider anything besides their default. So, when they find an easy means to get the solution they want, then they ardently grasp it without necessarily considering the implications or limitations of using that approach, even if it’s only expected to be utilized a sparse number of times. I don’t mean that they hear about NMN and think, “Wow, I’m going to try that for other situations!” Instead, I think it’s more about getting a “sense” that the technique works and is socially acceptable and then that creates a sort of neural pathway, a mental shortcut, something that is meant to be used intuitively. They might rarely, if ever, need to use it, but they will continue to do so until they come to a point in their life when they realize it doesn't necessarily work well in all applications or even in general. If this is correct, then my hope is that they would accrue enough real-world experience to handle disagreements in a less confrontational fashion.

I made a post before going to bed last night of an oddly toxic situation in my final game of the night. I mean, I have nearly 2k hours and while I’ve had people stay to camp my body until the match timer runs out, I’ve never had it specifically within the context of my last post. I don’t care how it was received — you can go read it if you want. The important context is that I was in a fight against a team that made it abundantly clear, through their gameplay, that they only cared about not letting me extract. That’s fine with me, a lot of not-so-good players tend to extraction camp and I’m used to dealing with it. I played their game, and lost. Then, one of the teammates took my bounty, extracted, and the other teammate stayed to camp me for the remaining 15 minutes in the lobby timer. I respawned ONE time after I heard my bounty token extracted, and he insta killed. I then started spectating, and watched him sit there for 12 more minutes until the match timer ran out. really the most toxic but dev-enabled gameplay that currently exists in Hunt: Showdown.
Now, whats making me lose my mind is not how I died. I simply used it to generate discussion. But some of the replies just irked me this morning.

Are you serious? Is this what it has come to? Where is the voice of players who actually care about the game? The entire gameplay loop revolves around extracting bounty. When playing with a team, you extract bounty together. Yet, there’s a wave of people ready to showcase their ignorance at a moments notice by just accepting that this is acceptable and part of the game? Leaving your bounty teammate to extract alone and forfeiting the bonus XP from the bounty, all because you want a kill? Sitting and staring at a dead body for 15 minutes straight, only stopping because the match timer ran out… that’s acceptable to people?
Fuck that, and forgive me for saying it, but it’s the truth — you people are 100% the problem with the game. It’s asinine, toxic, bullshit gameplay. I can’t even comprehend why it’s being defended. This post isn’t even about the gameplay, because that was the last post. This ones about the community response.
Bounty is what matters. Staying in a match for 45 mins to get ONE kill means you leveled up your hunter maybe one time. Getting in and out with bounty in 10 minutes can level you up 20+ times. There’s a reason kills hardly count for shit.
I could turn this post into a PhD Thesis with the amount of information I have that explains, on a fundamental level, how this was never an intended play style for Hunt. It’s pure toxicity, and at the end of the day, perfectly represents the shit-show the developers have turned their game into. If you, as a player, are supportive of that type of gameplay, Crytek’s hiring. You will fit right in, apparently.

For the sake of transparency, I am not the architect of the following discoveries, and am just helping to forward their message and clean it up. Introduction
If you think you know anything about MAGA. Trust me, you know nothing. Not even his most devout followers or haters will have considered the following. And for the sake of our democracy and way of life, I hope people read this.
This work may very well help to shift the narrative on Trump in a meaningful and foundational way, but I don't want this work exacerbate any feelings of ill will to MAGA members, for they have been prey to possibly one of the largest con jobs our world has ever seen, especially without the help of this counternarrative.

As I work on tidying up the master file with the helpful dms I got, allow me to post just the most contentious part of it below, now that it’s able to stand on its own.
MAGA didn’t begin in 2015. I argue it began in 2001 on 9/11, while also harnessing and funneling decades of anti-government resentment till many Americans would openly call for a “wrecking ball” figure to help “drain the swamp.”

A Key Fueling Factor To American Outrage- Inflation
Many elements contributed to growing American anger that would later contribute to MAGA, this is a snippet from the larger work.
Rising Cost of Living
o In 1950, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 24.1. By 2000, it had risen to 168 (a 597% increase), and by 2023, it had reached 304.7, a 1163% increase from 1950.
o Housing prices saw a drastic rise overtime, with the median home price increasing from $7,354 in 1950 to $388,700 in 2023, a staggering 5185% increase.
o While rising rent costs can contribute to overall inflation and cost of living, even the left has largely failed to address how exponentially increasing real estate prices impact the cost of living. This omission has made many other conspiracy theories seem more plausible in its wake.
o If we don’t find real solutions for real estate that also aren’t extreme, then society will feel more and more pressure to accept “unreasonable solutions” like Trump, even though he’s the last person on earth who could solve it, considering his business acumen and history.
MAGA Dynamics and Blind Devotion
In 2016, it wasn't just the left calling the MAGA movement a cult. Trump famously said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters." Even the left failed to grasp the gravity of this statement. As someone who nearly died in a deadly cult and based on my research, I don't know of a single cult where the founder could openly commit murder without losing members. Trump didn't just believe he'd created one of the largest cults ever; he believed he'd created the most fanatical. Let's hope his followers prove him wrong by showing a willingness to criticize him, regardless of their vote.

The MAGA Question
Instead of challenging MAGA supporters on fallacious beliefs, ask them this question to see if they’re at least able to see a world where Trump isn’t a biblical King: "If Trump admitted he was behind 9/11 and used resulting insurance money and donations from hostile governments to create false “grass root” campaigns. And did it all in a way to make it seem like others committed his own atrocities. And that he intended to destroy America in every way if he got elected, would you still vote for him?"

Yet even then, getting through to a MAGA supporter inevitably refers to 9/11 “research” out there when they realize individual positions are usually fallacious. This quagmire me decide to investigate this tragedy, to see if there was a more plausible counter theory. Honestly, the more I looked the more surprised I became. Here are my findings that are but a snippet of my full thesis on MAGA.

9/11 Conspiracy Theories and MAGA
Conspiracy Theories and Credibility:
o First off, conspiracy theories should involve some effort to verify narratives, rather than just repeating claims across multiple sources that mistake themselves as evidence; like a bunch of people who repeat “bob farted” across multiple websites may see that as evidence, when in fact, it was Sean. Sorry Sean.

Early Origins of MAGA:
o Although some believe MAGA began in 2015, its roots lie as early as the 1980s with Rush Limbaugh and later became "serious" on 9/11.
o 9/11 conspiracy theories claim controlled demolitions were used, but the lack of any cellphone recordings of explosions weakens this theory.

Suspicious Factors:
o The official narrative involving chaotic jet fuel leading to a straight fall seemed questionable.
o The collapse of a third building (WTC 7), which wasn’t directly hit, fueled suspicions.
o Airline stocks were heavily shorted before the attacks, raising concerns about insider trading. Harvey Pitt, Republican SEC Chairman at the time, investigated this and claimed there was nothing amiss, but was criticized for later crimes and forced to resign.
o It’s also suspicious that in Trumps 2000 book “The America We Deserve” that he stated, “I really am convinced we’re in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the [1993] bombing of the Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers. No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen*.”*
§ Yet democrats would largely miss this point entirely and obsess over his false claim that he called for Bin Laden to be killed, when he had not. Somehow conspiracy theorists would find this ‘cool’ rather than suspicious.

Reports and Simplified Narratives:
o FEMA's 2002 report and NIST's 2005 report provided technical explanations of the tower collapses.
o However, the Port Authority Chairman stuck to the oversimplified narrative that "jet fuel melted steel beams," even though he knew this was a half-truth, as detailed in the next section, fueling anti-government conspiracies. The question is why.

Potential Impact:
o 9/11 conspiracy theories sowed distrust in the government, which may have been one of the attackers' objectives. Anyone that heavily profited from this tragedy, and helped further those objects, should be questioned.
o The ‘Loose Change’ “documentary” pointed out suspicious parts of the story, but failed to give any clear claims as to who was purportedly behind it. It also failed to note the Twin Towers titanic design flaw that could result in a straight fall. Even the 2015 version of this film fails to mention nearly all of the known facts in this report.
o The Director of that film later states:
“I DON’T THINK WE’D HAVE PRESIDENT TRUMP IF IT WEREN’T FOR 9/11”
“9/11 created a culture of fear, of xenophobia, this sense of entitlement and everything we’ve seen. Warrantless wire-tapping, Guantanamo Bay, everything that’s happened led us to this point, we wouldn’t be here without 9/11. They want to kick out all the Mexicans and Muslims because of this culture of fear and bigotry and xenophobia that directly led to the election of fucking Donald Trump. [laughing] That’s our world now! We had Reagan before, and Governor Schwarzenegger. But President Donald Trump? It’s just weird. Everything is just weird.”

o However, his lead “researcher,” Jason Bermas, would turn out to be a full blown MAGA wingnut.

Architectural Pitfalls of the Twin Towers:
· The Twin Towers had unique architectural flaws due to the excessive heavy load on their exoskeletons to allow for more floor and leasing space, which greatly contributed to their straight collapse after the 9/11 attacks. This was the first and last skyscraper made in this way.
· For anyone who said that “any other building would have fallen sideways,” you were right, though perhaps not entirely how you may have imagined. A "Coke Can" analogy shows how a similar weakened structure can result in a straight fall, contrary to conspiracy theories claiming controlled demolitions. This isn't something I'm asking you to take for granted, or to read from media sources you don’t trust. This is something you can verify on your own, in person, in real time, in reality.
· However Trump, despite being close friends with Silverstein as we’ll cover later, claimed "It wasn’t architectural defects, you know, the World Trade Center was always known as a very, very strong building” per the attached PolitiFact article.

Larry Silverstein, The Leasor Of The Twin Towers:
· Nearly went bankrupt after losing his main tenant Drexel Burnham in 1980 after he built tower 7 with him in mind.
· I don't know how many of us understand the level of desperation a situation like this can cause in someone and how many potential crimes it can easily push them towards.
· He is known for then saying, “…looking up at the twin towers and thinking, my building is huge, but it is made diminutive by the twin towers. So I said to myself, wouldn't it be incredible someday to own those?" That's not the statement of a sane person who nearly went bankrupt, and if anything, hints towards jealousy.
· He managed to secure Salomon Brothers two years later, which later paid $300 million in securities fraud penalties casting suspicion over the entities who saved Silverstein, in addition to their overall plans for the future.
· How he would become able to outbid everyone else in 2001, for the right to lease the twin towers, would become a mystery we will untangle later.

Historical Context and Redevelopment Plans:
· A redevelopment plan commenced in the 1990s by Gov. Pataki and Mayor Giuliani, spurred a commercial revival in downtown Manhattan, making the World Trade Center prime property. Pataki would go on to criticize trump, while the other would prove to be one of this wildest, if not craziest, supporters to truly fanatical degrees.

The bidding for the World Trade Center lease involved only a few major real estate firms as allowed by the Port Authority Chairman. Below are the allowed bidders and their estimated worth at the time included:

· Donald J. Trump’s Organization:
o Worth around $1.5 billion in 1996 after multiple bankruptcies. Confirmed only by Forbes magazine in 2005.
· Tishman Speyer:
o Valued at approximately $1.8 billion in 2000, would soon face ‘tenant issues’ with many scrupulous legal claims against them.
· Gale & Wentworth:
o Worth a few million.
· Mortimer Zuckerman’s Boston Properties:
o Mortimer Zuckerman alone was worth around $2 billion.
· The Rouse Company:
o Mainly a shopping mall operator.
· Brookfield Properties:
o A Canadian firm valued at over $20 billion in 2000.
· Vornado Realty Trust:
o Worth an estimated $2-3 billion. Had the highest bid, but was unexpectedly outed by the Port Authority Chairman, paving the way for Silverstein’s win. CEO of Vornado Trust, Steven Roth would later do many deals with Trump in 2005 and beyond.
· Larry Silverstein:
o As mentioned, was nearly bankrupt in the 1980s, and was mysteriously awarded the right to lease the World Trade Center contract at $3.2 billion, twice the original asking price of 1.2 Billion. It would still be owned by the Port authority of NY and NJ, he would just own the rights to lease it.
o Port Authority Chairman, Lewis Eisenberg, made this unexplained decision, who also later became Trumps lead fundraiser in 2015.
o After putting down only $125 million, as per the contract, Silverstein would be getting back $100 million just 6 weeks after his bid and with an uncommon terrorist insurance addition. His exaggerated bid and insurance contract would also greatly inflate the amount of money he could get from an insurance claim. If the winning bid was 1.5 billion, the insurance payout would also have been much less.
o In real estate, its quite rare for a prudent investor to bid twice the asking price, as demonstrated by the other companies that backed out, of which I find no connections to Trump.
o If anyone had known about 9/11 ahead of time, like Trump claims he did, it would become drastically easier to outbid all competitors, knowing that for pennies on the dollar, you would be getting much more back.

Giuliani’s Gangster Acts
Arguably, if the above points are what they objectively appear to be, that would be a bad thing. You’d think that would be enough. However, Guliani would say “hold my beer’ to those sentiments.

1. Outdated Equipment for First Responders:
· Due to Giuliani’s inadequate leadership, first responders used old equipment that failed to warn them to evacuate the towers. Which contributed to their deaths while they searched for survivors.

4. Survivors Threaten To SUE Guliani For Relief Funds
· Even after privatizing the twin towers fund, Giuliani would make it incredibly difficult for the victims to receive their fair share. Requiring many of them to spend unnecessary money on advisors and consultants.
· Even with their legal pressure, he only agreed to “give the remaining 100 million to victims,” out of 170 million, if he could first put the money into the bank account of a charity in which he controlled.

· Giuliani tried to cancel the 2001 election to stay mayor longer. He even considered removing term limits with Governor Pataki’s support. Similar to how Trump has “joked” about increasing his own term limits.

· In 2000, Guliani unfortunately got prostate cancer. We have to be willing to ask if this was a motive for his corrupt acts.

Silverstein’s Unscrupulous Greed
1. Initial Settlement Demands and Profit Claims:
· Despite only having been out for $25 million, Silverstein initially sought nearly $8 BILLION in insurance settlements and argued for "loss of revenue from those buildings," which is quite an uncompassionate claim considering how many lost their lives. Talk about a prime example of the working and lower classes making sacrifices while rich elites complain they didn’t profit enough from the same tragedy.
2. Rebuilding Contributions and Insurance Payout:
· Despite the fact that he only owned the leasing rights to the twin towers, ‘Silverstein Properties’ received up to $4 billion from insurance payouts, instead of the Port Authority, which would be customary as the owner.
· While it's assumed that most of that money went to rebuilding, this isn't actually known or proven. It would be different if he had a separate insurance policy that was not connected to the rebuilding of the towers, with different monies going to the Port Authority to rebuild. This was not the case.

When most people witness a tragedy, especially of this size, it takes time for their brains to comprehend what happened, it takes even more time to process it. Thus, anyone who was able to brag about their own assets hours after this tragedy on a radio show, is at least worthy of Investigation, especially if this very event helped reshape a misinformation landscape in which he would thrive as its King.

o Trump also boasted that with the fall of the Twin Towers, his building became the tallest in Manhattan—an inaccurate and insensitive claim given the context.

Meanwhile, survivors and first responders faced challenges in securing support, highlighting the disparities between their experiences and the political maneuvers at play. Again morbidly juxtaposing the struggles of the poor and working class versus elite swamp members such as Trump and his ilk.

While being, arguably, one of the more suspicious Americans of potentially “being an insider," Trump would go on to cast doubt everywhere else with his new holier than thou rhetoric and hints and claims that “it was an inside job” for the next 15 years.

Now in a world where Trump's followers already discount reality, the emergence of AI-generated deepfakes threatens to further distort the truth. This technology could transform legal standards of evidence, making it easy to dismiss genuine evidence against the right as fabricated, while baseless accusations against the left might be accepted as the long-awaited proof.

The Potential Escalation of MAGA Actions
Given the willingness of MAGA supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6th, bolstered by Trump's incendiary rhetoric, the potential for escalation is alarming. The advent of fabricated images and videos could present unprecedented national security threats.

Elon was once very much a leftist, unfortunately in more and more far left “activists” continue to attack him endlessly for not agreeing with them on their own singular issues and perspectives. His actions since acquiring Twitter—such as promoting unfounded conspiracy theories and making high-profile firings—suggest a departure from his initial free speech advocacy.
Especially when considering he fired Don Lemon from his platform for an interview he found offensive. Canceling opinions you find offensive isn’t free speech, it’s literally the opposite. I’m sure many people were offended by the examples below. What about them?

The Need for a Critical Approach
Supporters of Trump should critically evaluate why he did not pardon the January 6th insurrectionists during his term, despite using them as political leverage now. This pattern of using allies until they are no longer useful is evident throughout his political and personal dealings.
What better example could there possibly be as to what trump truly thinks of his supporters, how sacrificial he sees them as part of his endless narratives, then his refusal and failure to pardon January 6th insurrectionists while still in office?
Of course, anyone “just on the grass” or outside the building should only get a day in jail at most, however people that barged inside the capital should naturally get much more.
And while trump refused to pardon those people before, he now calls them “hostages” and is using them as political bait to a truly wild degree. It's very likely he will make good on this promise to further embolden the narrative that “Democrats are trying to take you down and only I can save you.”
His supporters need to seriously ask, “Why didn’t he pardon us before?”
Also, remember when he claimed he would pay legal fees for supporters that were violent at his rallies, but then seemed to falter and change his mind. Much like how Amber Heard donated her money, “by pledging it.”
List of allies he was quick to discard or dump. And let's face it, all of these people have done more for him than the average MAGA supporter. The only person he cares about is himself.
Trump claims that Mike Pence, the man he vetted more than anyone else, “has gone to the dark side.”
Trump seems to have supported the chants to “Hang Mike Pense,” at least in jest? We hope? There are also no links of him condemning them. Yet admittedly this one point doesn’t have hard evidence like a recording or video as far as I know, it certainly fits his brand.

Trump admits Flynn lied on his behalf, accidentally testifying against him, but does pardon him. As long as you’re colluding with Russia you’re ok it seems?

Trump's rhetoric about overriding constitutional norms to address what he calls "massive fraud" hints at authoritarian aspirations. His praise for dictators and divisive language further aligns with dangerous historical precedents.

If you think you know anything about MAGA. Trust me, you know nothing. Not even his most devout followers or haters will have considered the following. And for the sake of our democracy and way of life, I hope people read this.
This work may very well help to shift the narrative on Trump in a meaningful and foundational way, but I don't want this work exacerbate any feelings of ill will to MAGA members, for they have been prey to possibly one of the largest con jobs our world has ever seen, especially without the help of this counternarrative.

As I work on tidying up the master file with the helpful dms I got, allow me to post just the most contentious part of it below, now that it’s able to stand on its own.
MAGA didn’t begin in 2015. I argue it began in 2001 on 9/11, while also harnessing and funneling decades of anti-government resentment till many Americans would openly call for a “wrecking ball” figure to help “drain the swamp.”

A Key Fueling Factor To American Outrage- Inflation
Many elements contributed to growing American anger that would later contribute to MAGA, this is a snippet from the larger work.
Rising Cost of Living
o In 1950, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 24.1. By 2000, it had risen to 168 (a 597% increase), and by 2023, it had reached 304.7, a 1163% increase from 1950.
o Housing prices saw a drastic rise overtime, with the median home price increasing from $7,354 in 1950 to $388,700 in 2023, a staggering 5185% increase.
o While rising rent costs can contribute to overall inflation and cost of living, even the left has largely failed to address how exponentially increasing real estate prices impact the cost of living. This omission has made many other conspiracy theories seem more plausible in its wake.
o If we don’t find real solutions for real estate that also aren’t extreme, then society will feel more and more pressure to accept “unreasonable solutions” like Trump, even though he’s the last person on earth who could solve it, considering his business acumen and history.
MAGA Dynamics and Blind Devotion
In 2016, it wasn't just the left calling the MAGA movement a cult. Trump famously said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters." Even the left failed to grasp the gravity of this statement. As someone who nearly died in a deadly cult and based on my research, I don't know of a single cult where the founder could openly commit murder without losing members. Trump didn't just believe he'd created one of the largest cults ever; he believed he'd created the most fanatical. Let's hope his followers prove him wrong by showing a willingness to criticize him, regardless of their vote.

The MAGA Question
Instead of challenging MAGA supporters on fallacious beliefs, ask them this question to see if they’re at least able to see a world where Trump isn’t a biblical King: "If Trump admitted he was behind 9/11 and used resulting insurance money and donations from hostile governments to create false “grass root” campaigns. And did it all in a way to make it seem like others committed his own atrocities. And that he intended to destroy America in every way if he got elected, would you still vote for him?"

Yet even then, getting through to a MAGA supporter inevitably refers to 9/11 “research” out there when they realize individual positions are usually fallacious. This quagmire me decide to investigate this tragedy, to see if there was a more plausible counter theory. Honestly, the more I looked the more surprised I became. Here are my findings that are but a snippet of my full thesis on MAGA.

9/11 Conspiracy Theories and MAGA
Conspiracy Theories and Credibility:
o First off, conspiracy theories should involve some effort to verify narratives, rather than just repeating claims across multiple sources that mistake themselves as evidence; like a bunch of people who repeat “bob farted” across multiple websites may see that as evidence, when in fact, it was Sean. Sorry Sean.

Early Origins of MAGA:
o Although some believe MAGA began in 2015, its roots lie as early as the 1980s with Rush Limbaugh and later became "serious" on 9/11.
o 9/11 conspiracy theories claim controlled demolitions were used, but the lack of any cellphone recordings of explosions weakens this theory.

Suspicious Factors:
o The official narrative involving chaotic jet fuel leading to a straight fall seemed questionable.
o The collapse of a third building (WTC 7), which wasn’t directly hit, fueled suspicions.
o Airline stocks were heavily shorted before the attacks, raising concerns about insider trading. Harvey Pitt, Republican SEC Chairman at the time, investigated this and claimed there was nothing amiss, but was criticized for later crimes and forced to resign.
o It’s also suspicious that in Trumps 2000 book “The America We Deserve” that he stated, “I really am convinced we’re in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the [1993] bombing of the Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers. No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen*.”*
§ Yet democrats would largely miss this point entirely and obsess over his false claim that he called for Bin Laden to be killed, when he had not. Somehow conspiracy theorists would find this ‘cool’ rather than suspicious.

Reports and Simplified Narratives:
o FEMA's 2002 report and NIST's 2005 report provided technical explanations of the tower collapses.
o However, the Port Authority Chairman stuck to the oversimplified narrative that "jet fuel melted steel beams," even though he knew this was a half-truth, as detailed in the next section, fueling anti-government conspiracies. The question is why.

Potential Impact:
o 9/11 conspiracy theories sowed distrust in the government, which may have been one of the attackers' objectives. Anyone that heavily profited from this tragedy, and helped further those objects, should be questioned.
o The ‘Loose Change’ “documentary” pointed out suspicious parts of the story, but failed to give any clear claims as to who was purportedly behind it. It also failed to note the Twin Towers titanic design flaw that could result in a straight fall. Even the 2015 version of this film fails to mention nearly all of the known facts in this report.
o The Director of that film later states:
“I DON’T THINK WE’D HAVE PRESIDENT TRUMP IF IT WEREN’T FOR 9/11”
“9/11 created a culture of fear, of xenophobia, this sense of entitlement and everything we’ve seen. Warrantless wire-tapping, Guantanamo Bay, everything that’s happened led us to this point, we wouldn’t be here without 9/11. They want to kick out all the Mexicans and Muslims because of this culture of fear and bigotry and xenophobia that directly led to the election of fucking Donald Trump. [laughing] That’s our world now! We had Reagan before, and Governor Schwarzenegger. But President Donald Trump? It’s just weird. Everything is just weird.”

Architectural Pitfalls of the Twin Towers:
· The Twin Towers had unique architectural flaws due to the excessive heavy load on their exoskeletons to allow for more floor and leasing space, which greatly contributed to their straight collapse after the 9/11 attacks. This was the first and last skyscraper made in this way.
· For anyone who said that “any other building would have fallen sideways,” you were right, though perhaps not entirely how you may have imagined. A "Coke Can" analogy shows how a similar weakened structure can result in a straight fall, contrary to conspiracy theories claiming controlled demolitions. This isn't something I'm asking you to take for granted, or to read from media sources you don’t trust. This is something you can verify on your own, in person, in real time, in reality.
· However Trump, despite being close friends with Silverstein as we’ll cover later, claimed "It wasn’t architectural defects, you know, the World Trade Center was always known as a very, very strong building” per the attached PolitiFact article.

Larry Silverstein, The Leasor Of The Twin Towers:
· Nearly went bankrupt after losing his main tenant Drexel Burnham in 1980 after he built tower 7 with him in mind.
· I don't know how many of us understand the level of desperation a situation like this can cause in someone and how many potential crimes it can easily push them towards.
· He is known for then saying, “…looking up at the twin towers and thinking, my building is huge, but it is made diminutive by the twin towers. So I said to myself, wouldn't it be incredible someday to own those?" That's not the statement of a sane person who nearly went bankrupt, and if anything, hints towards jealousy.
· He managed to secure Salomon Brothers two years later, which later paid $300 million in securities fraud penalties casting suspicion over the entities who saved Silverstein, in addition to their overall plans for the future.
· How he would become able to outbid everyone else in 2001, for the right to lease the twin towers, would become a mystery we will untangle later.

Historical Context and Redevelopment Plans:
· A redevelopment plan commenced in the 1990s by Gov. Pataki and Mayor Giuliani, spurred a commercial revival in downtown Manhattan, making the World Trade Center prime property. Pataki would go on to criticize trump, while the other would prove to be one of this wildest, if not craziest, supporters to truly fanatical degrees.

The bidding for the World Trade Center lease involved only a few major real estate firms as allowed by the Port Authority Chairman. Below are the allowed bidders and their estimated worth at the time included:

· Donald J. Trump’s Organization:
o Worth around $1.5 billion in 1996 after multiple bankruptcies. Confirmed only by Forbes magazine in 2005.
· Tishman Speyer:
o Valued at approximately $1.8 billion in 2000, would soon face ‘tenant issues’ with many scrupulous legal claims against them.
· Gale & Wentworth:
o Worth a few million.
· Mortimer Zuckerman’s Boston Properties:
o Mortimer Zuckerman alone was worth around $2 billion.
· The Rouse Company:
o Mainly a shopping mall operator.
· Brookfield Properties:
o A Canadian firm valued at over $20 billion in 2000.
· Vornado Realty Trust:
o Worth an estimated $2-3 billion. Had the highest bid, but was unexpectedly outed by the Port Authority Chairman, paving the way for Silverstein’s win. CEO of Vornado Trust, Steven Roth would later do many deals with Trump in 2005 and beyond.
· Larry Silverstein:
o As mentioned, was nearly bankrupt in the 1980s, and was mysteriously awarded the right to lease the World Trade Center contract at $3.2 billion, twice the original asking price of 1.2 Billion. It would still be owned by the Port authority of NY and NJ, he would just own the rights to lease it.
o Port Authority Chairman, Lewis Eisenberg, made this unexplained decision, who also later became Trumps lead fundraiser in 2015.
o After putting down only $125 million, as per the contract, Silverstein would be getting back $100 million just 6 weeks after his bid and with an uncommon terrorist insurance addition. His exaggerated bid and insurance contract would also greatly inflate the amount of money he could get from an insurance claim. If the winning bid was 1.5 billion, the insurance payout would also have been much less.
o In real estate, its quite rare for a prudent investor to bid twice the asking price, as demonstrated by the other companies that backed out, of which I find no connections to Trump.
o If anyone had known about 9/11 ahead of time, like Trump claims he did, it would become drastically easier to outbid all competitors, knowing that for pennies on the dollar, you would be getting much more back.

Giuliani’s Gangster Acts
Arguably, if the above points are what they objectively appear to be, that would be a bad thing. You’d think that would be enough. However, Guliani would say “hold my beer’ to those sentiments.

1. Outdated Equipment for First Responders:
· Due to Giuliani’s inadequate leadership, first responders used old equipment that failed to warn them to evacuate the towers. Which contributed to their deaths while they searched for survivors.

· Giuliani delayed proper search and rescue operations for days, possibly costing lives of citizens and first responders who didn’t know they needed to leave.

· Giuliani privatized the Twin Towers relief funds, making them unauditable.

4. Survivors Threaten To SUE Guliani For Relief Funds
· Even after privatizing the twin towers fund, Giuliani would make it incredibly difficult for the victims to receive their fair share. Requiring many of them to spend unnecessary money on advisors and consultants.
· Even with their legal pressure, he only agreed to “give the remaining 100 million to victims,” out of 170 million, if he could first put the money into the bank account of a charity in which he controlled.

5. Attempted Election Cancellation in 2001:
· Giuliani tried to cancel the 2001 election to stay mayor longer. He even considered removing term limits with Governor Pataki’s support. Similar to how Trump has “joked” about increasing his own term limits.

· In 2000, Guliani unfortunately got prostate cancer. We have to be willing to ask if this was a motive for his corrupt acts.

Silverstein’s Unscrupulous Greed
1. Initial Settlement Demands and Profit Claims:
· Despite only having been out for $25 million, Silverstein initially sought nearly $8 BILLION in insurance settlements and argued for "loss of revenue from those buildings," which is quite an uncompassionate claim considering how many lost their lives. Talk about a prime example of the working and lower classes making sacrifices while rich elites complain they didn’t profit enough from the same tragedy.
2. Rebuilding Contributions and Insurance Payout:
· Despite the fact that he only owned the leasing rights to the twin towers, ‘Silverstein Properties’ received up to $4 billion from insurance payouts, instead of the Port Authority, which would be customary as the owner.
· While it's assumed that most of that money went to rebuilding, this isn't actually known or proven. It would be different if he had a separate insurance policy that was not connected to the rebuilding of the towers, with different monies going to the Port Authority to rebuild. This was not the case.

When most people witness a tragedy, especially of this size, it takes time for their brains to comprehend what happened, it takes even more time to process it. Thus, anyone who was able to brag about their own assets hours after this tragedy on a radio show, is at least worthy of Investigation, especially if this very event helped reshape a misinformation landscape in which he would thrive as its King.

o Trump also boasted that with the fall of the Twin Towers, his building became the tallest in Manhattan—an inaccurate and insensitive claim given the context.

Again morbidly juxtaposing the struggles of the poor and working class versus elite swamp members such as Trump and his ilk.

While being, arguably, one of the more suspicious Americans of potentially “being an insider," Trump would go on to cast doubt everywhere else with his new holier than thou rhetoric and hints and claims that “it was an inside job” for the next 15 years.

Now in a world where Trump's followers already discount reality, the emergence of AI-generated deepfakes threatens to further distort the truth. This technology could transform legal standards of evidence, making it easy to dismiss genuine evidence against the right as fabricated, while baseless accusations against the left might be accepted as the long-awaited proof.

The Potential Escalation of MAGA Actions
Given the willingness of MAGA supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6th, bolstered by Trump's incendiary rhetoric, the potential for escalation is alarming. The advent of fabricated images and videos could present unprecedented national security threats.

Supporters of Trump should critically evaluate why he did not pardon the January 6th insurrectionists during his term, despite using them as political leverage now. This pattern of using allies until they are no longer useful is evident throughout his political and personal dealings.
What better example could there possibly be as to what trump truly thinks of his supporters, how sacrificial he sees them as part of his endless narratives, then his refusal and failure to pardon January 6th insurrectionists while still in office?
Of course, anyone “just on the grass” or outside the building should only get a day in jail at most, however people that barged inside the capital should naturally get much more.
And while trump refused to pardon those people before, he now calls them “hostages” and is using them as political bait to a truly wild degree. It's very likely he will make good on this promise to further embolden the narrative that “Democrats are trying to take you down and only I can save you.”
His supporters need to seriously ask, “Why didn’t he pardon us before?”
Also, remember when he claimed he would pay legal fees for supporters that were violent at his rallies, but then seemed to falter and change his mind. Much like how Amber Heard donated her money, “by pledging it.”
List of allies he was quick to discard or dump. And let's face it, all of these people have done more for him than the average MAGA supporter. The only person he cares about is himself.

Trump seems to have supported the chants to “Hang Mike Pense,” at least in jest? We hope? There are also no links of him condemning them. Yet admittedly this one point doesn’t have hard evidence like a recording or video as far as I know, it certainly fits his brand.

If you think you know anything about MAGA. Trust me, you know nothing. Not even his most devout followers or haters will have considered the following. And for the sake of our democracy and way of life, I hope people read this.
This work may very well help to shift the narrative on Trump in a meaningful and foundational way, but I don't want this work exacerbate any feelings of ill will to MAGA members, for they have been prey to possibly one of the largest con jobs our world has ever seen, especially without the help of this counternarrative.

As I work on tidying up the master file with the helpful dms I got, allow me to post just the most contentious part of it below, now that it’s able to stand on its own.
MAGA didn’t begin in 2015. I argue it began in 2001 on 9/11, while also harnessing and funneling decades of anti-government resentment till many Americans would openly call for a “wrecking ball” figure to help “drain the swamp.”

A Key Fueling Factor To American Outrage- Inflation
Many elements contributed to growing American anger that would later contribute to MAGA, this is a snippet from the larger work.
Rising Cost of Living
o In 1950, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 24.1. By 2000, it had risen to 168 (a 597% increase), and by 2023, it had reached 304.7, a 1163% increase from 1950.
o Housing prices saw a drastic rise overtime, with the median home price increasing from $7,354 in 1950 to $388,700 in 2023, a staggering 5185% increase.
o While rising rent costs can contribute to overall inflation and cost of living, even the left has largely failed to address how exponentially increasing real estate prices impact the cost of living. This omission has made many other conspiracy theories seem more plausible in its wake.
o If we don’t find real solutions for real estate that also aren’t extreme, then society will feel more and more pressure to accept “unreasonable solutions” like Trump, even though he’s the last person on earth who could solve it, considering his business acumen and history.
MAGA Dynamics and Blind Devotion
In 2016, it wasn't just the left calling the MAGA movement a cult. Trump famously said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters." Even the left failed to grasp the gravity of this statement. As someone who nearly died in a deadly cult and based on my research, I don't know of a single cult where the founder could openly commit murder without losing members. Trump didn't just believe he'd created one of the largest cults ever; he believed he'd created the most fanatical. Let's hope his followers prove him wrong by showing a willingness to criticize him, regardless of their vote.

The MAGA Question
Instead of challenging MAGA supporters on fallacious beliefs, ask them this question to see if they’re at least able to see a world where Trump isn’t a biblical King: "If Trump admitted he was behind 9/11 and used resulting insurance money and donations from hostile governments to create false “grass root” campaigns. And did it all in a way to make it seem like others committed his own atrocities. And that he intended to destroy America in every way if he got elected, would you still vote for him?"

Yet even then, getting through to a MAGA supporter inevitably refers to 9/11 “research” out there when they realize individual positions are usually fallacious. This quagmire me decide to investigate this tragedy, to see if there was a more plausible counter theory. Honestly, the more I looked the more surprised I became. Here are my findings that are but a snippet of my full thesis on MAGA.

9/11 Conspiracy Theories and MAGA
Conspiracy Theories and Credibility:
o First off, conspiracy theories should involve some effort to verify narratives, rather than just repeating claims across multiple sources that mistake themselves as evidence; like a bunch of people who repeat “bob farted” across multiple websites may see that as evidence, when in fact, it was Sean. Sorry Sean.

Early Origins of MAGA:
o Although some believe MAGA began in 2015, its roots lie as early as the 1980s with Rush Limbaugh and later became "serious" on 9/11.
o 9/11 conspiracy theories claim controlled demolitions were used, but the lack of any cellphone recordings of explosions weakens this theory.

Suspicious Factors:
o The official narrative involving chaotic jet fuel leading to a straight fall seemed questionable.
o The collapse of a third building (WTC 7), which wasn’t directly hit, fueled suspicions.
o Airline stocks were heavily shorted before the attacks, raising concerns about insider trading. Harvey Pitt, Republican SEC Chairman at the time, investigated this and claimed there was nothing amiss, but was criticized for later crimes and forced to resign.
o It’s also suspicious that in Trumps 2000 book “The America We Deserve” that he stated, “I really am convinced we’re in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the [1993] bombing of the Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers. No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen*.”*
§ Yet democrats would largely miss this point entirely and obsess over his false claim that he called for Bin Laden to be killed, when he had not. Somehow conspiracy theorists would find this ‘cool’ rather than suspicious.

Reports and Simplified Narratives:
o FEMA's 2002 report and NIST's 2005 report provided technical explanations of the tower collapses.
o However, the Port Authority Chairman stuck to the oversimplified narrative that "jet fuel melted steel beams," even though he knew this was a half-truth, as detailed in the next section, fueling anti-government conspiracies. The question is why.

Potential Impact:
o 9/11 conspiracy theories sowed distrust in the government, which may have been one of the attackers' objectives. Anyone that heavily profited from this tragedy, and helped further those objects, should be questioned.
o The ‘Loose Change’ “documentary” pointed out suspicious parts of the story, but failed to give any clear claims as to who was purportedly behind it. It also failed to note the Twin Towers titanic design flaw that could result in a straight fall. Even the 2015 version of this film fails to mention nearly all of the known facts in this report.
o The Director of that film later states:
“I DON’T THINK WE’D HAVE PRESIDENT TRUMP IF IT WEREN’T FOR 9/11”
“9/11 created a culture of fear, of xenophobia, this sense of entitlement and everything we’ve seen. Warrantless wire-tapping, Guantanamo Bay, everything that’s happened led us to this point, we wouldn’t be here without 9/11. They want to kick out all the Mexicans and Muslims because of this culture of fear and bigotry and xenophobia that directly led to the election of fucking Donald Trump. [laughing] That’s our world now! We had Reagan before, and Governor Schwarzenegger. But President Donald Trump? It’s just weird. Everything is just weird.”

Architectural Pitfalls of the Twin Towers:
· The Twin Towers had unique architectural flaws due to the excessive heavy load on their exoskeletons to allow for more floor and leasing space, which greatly contributed to their straight collapse after the 9/11 attacks. This was the first and last skyscraper made in this way.
· For anyone who said that “any other building would have fallen sideways,” you were right, though perhaps not entirely how you may have imagined. A "Coke Can" analogy shows how a similar weakened structure can result in a straight fall, contrary to conspiracy theories claiming controlled demolitions. This isn't something I'm asking you to take for granted, or to read from media sources you don’t trust. This is something you can verify on your own, in person, in real time, in reality.
· However Trump, despite being close friends with Silverstein as we’ll cover later, claimed "It wasn’t architectural defects, you know, the World Trade Center was always known as a very, very strong building” per the attached PolitiFact article.

Larry Silverstein, The Leasor Of The Twin Towers:
· Nearly went bankrupt after losing his main tenant Drexel Burnham in 1980 after he built tower 7 with him in mind.
· I don't know how many of us understand the level of desperation a situation like this can cause in someone and how many potential crimes it can easily push them towards.
· He is known for then saying, “…looking up at the twin towers and thinking, my building is huge, but it is made diminutive by the twin towers. So I said to myself, wouldn't it be incredible someday to own those?" That's not the statement of a sane person who nearly went bankrupt, and if anything, hints towards jealousy.
· He managed to secure Salomon Brothers two years later, which later paid $300 million in securities fraud penalties casting suspicion over the entities who saved Silverstein, in addition to their overall plans for the future.
· How he would become able to outbid everyone else in 2001, for the right to lease the twin towers, would become a mystery we will untangle later.

Historical Context and Redevelopment Plans:
· A redevelopment plan commenced in the 1990s by Gov. Pataki and Mayor Giuliani, spurred a commercial revival in downtown Manhattan, making the World Trade Center prime property. Pataki would go on to criticize trump, while the other would prove to be one of this wildest, if not craziest, supporters to truly fanatical degrees.

· Tom Leppert was the CEO of Turner construction which right wing conspiracy theorists claimed helped ensure the towers would fall straight down. He also became part of Trumps transition team. The bidding for the World Trade Center lease involved only a few major real estate firms as allowed by the Port Authority Chairman. Below are the allowed bidders and their estimated worth at the time included:

· Donald J. Trump’s Organization:
o Worth around $1.5 billion in 1996 after multiple bankruptcies. Confirmed only by Forbes magazine in 2005.
· Tishman Speyer:
o Valued at approximately $1.8 billion in 2000, would soon face ‘tenant issues’ with many scrupulous legal claims against them.
· Gale & Wentworth:
o Worth a few million.
· Mortimer Zuckerman’s Boston Properties:
o Mortimer Zuckerman alone was worth around $2 billion.
· The Rouse Company:
o Mainly a shopping mall operator.
· Brookfield Properties:
o A Canadian firm valued at over $20 billion in 2000.
· Vornado Realty Trust:
o Worth an estimated $2-3 billion. Had the highest bid, but was unexpectedly outed by the Port Authority Chairman, paving the way for Silverstein’s win. CEO of Vornado Trust, Steven Roth would later do many deals with Trump in 2005 and beyond.
· Larry Silverstein:
o As mentioned, was nearly bankrupt in the 1980s, and was mysteriously awarded the right to lease the World Trade Center contract at $3.2 billion, twice the original asking price of 1.2 Billion. It would still be owned by the Port authority of NY and NJ, he would just own the rights to lease it.
o Port Authority Chairman, Lewis Eisenberg, made this unexplained decision, who also later became Trumps lead fundraiser in 2015.
o After putting down only $125 million, as per the contract, Silverstein would be getting back $100 million just 6 weeks after his bid and with an uncommon terrorist insurance addition. His exaggerated bid and insurance contract would also greatly inflate the amount of money he could get from an insurance claim. If the winning bid was 1.5 billion, the insurance payout would also have been much less.
o In real estate, its quite rare for a prudent investor to bid twice the asking price, as demonstrated by the other companies that backed out, of which I find no connections to Trump.
o If anyone had known about 9/11 ahead of time, like Trump claims he did, it would become drastically easier to outbid all competitors, knowing that for pennies on the dollar, you would be getting much more back.

Giuliani’s Gangster Acts
Arguably, if the above points are what they objectively appear to be, that would be a bad thing. You’d think that would be enough. However, Guliani would say “hold my beer’ to those sentiments.

1. Outdated Equipment for First Responders:
· Due to Giuliani’s inadequate leadership, first responders used old equipment that failed to warn them to evacuate the towers. Which contributed to their deaths while they searched for survivors.

· Giuliani delayed proper search and rescue operations for days, possibly costing lives of citizens and first responders who didn’t know they needed to leave.
· 20 Years later he would claim that some of Bidens actions were so reckless that… “It would be as if I got down to ground zero and said take out the firefighters, all you civilians see if you can get yourselves out.” Self report?

· Giuliani privatized the Twin Towers relief funds, making them unauditable.

4. Survivors Threaten To SUE Guliani For Relief Funds
· Even after privatizing the twin towers fund, Giuliani would make it incredibly difficult for the victims to receive their fair share. Requiring many of them to spend unnecessary money on advisors and consultants.
· Even with their legal pressure, he only agreed to “give the remaining 100 million to victims,” out of 170 million, if he could first put the money into the bank account of a charity in which he controlled.
· From the attached article: “But Harold Schaitberger, president of the International Association of Fire Fighters, said that he remained adamantly opposed to any transfer of funds to Mr. Giuliani's charity.

5. Attempted Election Cancellation in 2001:
· Giuliani tried to cancel the 2001 election to stay mayor longer. He even considered removing term limits with Governor Pataki’s support. Similar to how Trump has “joked” about increasing his own term limits.

· In 2000, Guliani unfortunately got prostate cancer. We have to be willing to ask if this was a motive for his corrupt acts.

Silverstein’s Unscrupulous Greed
1. Initial Settlement Demands and Profit Claims:
· Despite only having been out for $25 million, Silverstein initially sought nearly $8 BILLION in insurance settlements and argued for "loss of revenue from those buildings," which is quite an uncompassionate claim considering how many lost their lives. Talk about a prime example of the working and lower classes making sacrifices while rich elites complain they didn’t profit enough from the same tragedy.
2. Rebuilding Contributions and Insurance Payout:
· Despite the fact that he only owned the leasing rights to the twin towers, ‘Silverstein Properties’ received up to $4 billion from insurance payouts, instead of the Port Authority, which would be customary as the owner.
· While it's assumed that most of that money went to rebuilding, this isn't actually known or proven. It would be different if he had a separate insurance policy that was not connected to the rebuilding of the towers, with different monies going to the Port Authority to rebuild. This was not the case.

When most people witness a tragedy, especially of this size, it takes time for their brains to comprehend what happened, it takes even more time to process it. Thus, anyone who was able to brag about their own assets hours after this tragedy on a radio show, is at least worthy of Investigation, especially if this very event helped reshape a misinformation landscape in which he would thrive as its King.

o Trump also boasted that with the fall of the Twin Towers, his building became the tallest in Manhattan—an inaccurate and insensitive claim given the context.

Meanwhile, survivors and first responders faced challenges in securing support, highlighting the disparities between their experiences and the political maneuvers at play. Again morbidly juxtaposing the struggles of the poor and working class versus elite swamp members such as Trump and his ilk.

While being, arguably, one of the more suspicious Americans of potentially “being an insider," Trump would go on to cast doubt everywhere else with his new holier than thou rhetoric and hints and claims that “it was an inside job” for the next 15 years.

Now in a world where Trump's followers already discount reality, the emergence of AI-generated deepfakes threatens to further distort the truth. This technology could transform legal standards of evidence, making it easy to dismiss genuine evidence against the right as fabricated, while baseless accusations against the left might be accepted as the long-awaited proof.

The Potential Escalation of MAGA Actions
Given the willingness of MAGA supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6th, bolstered by Trump's incendiary rhetoric, the potential for escalation is alarming. The advent of fabricated images and videos could present unprecedented national security threats.

This speech, coupled with his undermining of constitutional processes, underscores the risks and intentional deceit of his rhetoric. Too bad Republicans senators and our Supreme Court have either claimed he was above the law, or continue to postpone his court dates till after elections. A wild position when treason is on the table. Did that dude commit treason that claims he wants to become a dictator? I dunno, lets let him potentially get elected and then find out!

The Need for a Critical Approach
Supporters of Trump should critically evaluate why he did not pardon the January 6th insurrectionists during his term, despite using them as political leverage now. This pattern of using allies until they are no longer useful is evident throughout his political and personal dealings.
What better example could there possibly be as to what trump truly thinks of his supporters, how sacrificial he sees them as part of his endless narratives, then his refusal and failure to pardon January 6th insurrectionists while still in office?
Of course, anyone “just on the grass” or outside the building should only get a day in jail at most, however people that barged inside the capital should naturally get much more.
And while trump refused to pardon those people before, he now calls them “hostages” and is using them as political bait to a truly wild degree. It's very likely he will make good on this promise to further embolden the narrative that “Democrats are trying to take you down and only I can save you.”
His supporters need to seriously ask, “Why didn’t he pardon us before?”
Also, remember when he claimed he would pay legal fees for supporters that were violent at his rallies, but then seemed to falter and change his mind. Much like how Amber Heard donated her money, “by pledging it.”

Naturally there are endless possibilities of what MAGA and dictators around the world decide to do this year and into the future. I believe that the one thing that insinuates when it's time for their next evil actions is dictated by their standings in the polls or when a fellow dictator needs a little more political pressure from war torn inflated oil prices etc.

So right now I'm in Year 9 and we just started looking at an Inspector Calls. I'm keen to improve my writing to prepare myself for my GCSEs in two years. I know it's really early but I'm hoping that the earlier I start improving my writing, the better it will be by the time I do my GCSEs.
So some things to note about the responses to the questions: I purposely chose to answer the questions with points that I knew would be hard to argue for, in order to prepare for a difficult situation like if I was given a question that asked "How is Gerald presented as obsequious in an Inspector Calls?" Also, these wouldn't be my full response to the questions. In the case of an assessment, I would write a thesis statement, three of these paragraphs and a conclusion. Q1-
One way that Priestley presents Gerald in an Inspector Calls is as being obsequious. This is demonstrated through his sycophantic behaviour to ingratiate himself with the Birling family, before his engagement with Sheila. For example, in act 1 Gerald describes Birling's callous dismissal of Eva Smith as being unavoidable saying he “couldn't have done anything else.” The noun “anything” demonstrates that Gerald understands Mr Birling, and accepts more capitalist views than the rest of the younger generation in the play. Gerald’s unfaltering agreement with Mr Birling’s views illustrates the extent to which he seeks to curry favour with the Birlings. On the other hand, one may argue that Gerald’s agreement with Mr Birling highlights Gerald’s detachment from the plight and suffering of the working classes. Priestley’s unsympathetic portrayal of Gerald as being unctuous may be intended to demonstrate the degree to which capitalists prize monetary connections. Moreover, despite Gerald’s portrayal as a charming and witty character, his immoral disassociation with the plight of others may demonstrate Priestley’s belief that Capitalists only concern themselves with the wellbeing of their monetary connections. This is further demonstrated through Gerald’s addressal of Mr Birling as “Sir”. The noun “sir” implies that Birling is a man of higher social standing than Gerald, which the audience and characters know not to be true. However this may be intended to please Mr Birling and show him what he has to gain from a union between their families. By using this title, Priestley demonstrates to the audience the guile of capitalists by highlighting the extent to which capitalists will fawn over others in order to secure financial connections.

One way Priestley presents the theme of generational divide in An Inspector Calls is through each generation’s differing viewpoints. For example, the older generation is presented as being fixated on their own beliefs, and disapproving of new ideas. This is shown when Sheila uses the colloquial term “squiffy” to describe Eric’s intoxicated state and Mrs Birling reproaches her saying “the things you girls pick up these days.” The plural noun “girls” demonstrates that Mrs Birling refuses to acknowledge anyone who carries a differing opinion to hers as an adult. Furthermore, the noun “girls” ordinarily refers to children, and by choosing to use this, perhaps Priestley intends to highlight the difference in not just age, but opinion between Mrs Birling and Sheila. Moreover, the phrase “these days” demonstrates Mrs Birling’s disapproval of modern culture, her rigid beliefs that the status quo should be maintained and her belief in the traditional ideas of how women should behave. Additionally, this may demonstrate that Mrs Birling believes that people should live in a way dictated by societal expectations, rather than living freely. This would make a post-war audience, accustomed to freedom and relaxed societal expectations, disapprove of Mrs Birling, the older generation and their traditionalist ideals. On the other hand, the younger generation are presented as being open and susceptible to new ideas and teachings. This is illustrated through Sheila’s direct contrast to Mr Birling when she says “But these girls aren't cheap labour- they’re people.” This juxtaposes Birling’s view of the working class as commodities as the plural noun “people” demonstrates that Sheila is able to recognise the humanity of the lower classes. This illustrates that the younger generation can empathise with the plight of the working class and advocate for change. Perhaps Priestley meant this to espouse the audience with his hope that in the future the younger generation will deviate from the path created by the older, and accept his message of social responsibility. Priestley communicates that the younger generation are more capable of change and empathy, and so will be vital to create a better society for all. Through the theme of generational divide, Priestley conveys his message of socialism to the audience while denouncing traditionalist views.

One way that Priestley presents the change in Sheila’s character is that she matures over the course of the play. This is demonstrated when, initially, Sheila is presented as being naive and childish. For example, when Birling reprimands her for not listening to his speech she says “Sorry daddy, actually I was listening” By reacting to her father in this way, Sheila demonstrates her naivety and lack of maturity. The noun “daddy” connotes the image of a young child speaking to their father. This is further supported by her amenability to do what her parents ask of her. Furthermore, Sheila being so quick to apologise demonstrates that she is eager to please her parents and behave well, similar to a young child. On the other hand, at the end of the play, Sheila is shown to have grown in maturity and assertiveness. This is demonstrated when Mrs Birling unknowingly speaks of punishing Eric and Sheila interrupts her yelling “Mother- stop - stop!” The short, exclamatory interjection demonstrates that Sheila feels able to interrupt her parents, unlike at the beginning of the play, where she was eager to please and obey them. Furthermore, the use of the noun “Mother”, demonstrates that Sheila has grown up from her initially childish disposition. Additionally, her insightfulness in trying to prevent her mother from saying anymore is a direct contrast to her naivety at the beginning of the play. Through the change in Sheila’s character, the audience becomes sure that Sheila will go on to be a better person, and be different to her parents. Furthermore, perhaps Priestley showed such a dramatic change in Sheila’s character to illustrate to the audience that they too can change for the better and help create a better society, different from the restrictive ideals of the early Edwardian era.

Non-Satanists always seems to have opinions/presumptions about why Satanists are Satanists. This may be unique among religions; if you convert to Islam, people may have opinions, but they probably don't insist you're just mad at your parents (unless of course in your case that is the actual reason).
So I started thinking--what really attracts people to Satanism? Obviously this is a big question and depends a lot on our own perspectives; this list was originally part of a larger project, but I cut it because it was running long and didn't suit the tone.
It's very important to emphasize that a) THESE CATEGORIES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE EXCLUSIVE--it's very, very likely individuals will overlap with two or more, b) that this is by no means a comprehensive list and is very much a work in progress.

*Anti-Christian Satanism: This is what many people assume all Satanism is, and you certainly will meet some people who embrace the image of Satan as a formal rejection of Christian social hegemony, or at least against their idea of it. Protest against other religions--I've met former Orthodox Jewish, Muslim, and even Neopagan Satanists who are very much invested in disengaging from their past religious identities--are included here for ease of reference.
For people dealing with religious trauma, particularly people who were raised in churches or faith environments that they perceived as hostile or where they were subject to abuse, this can be an expression of healthy and necessary anger and/or an important step in reclaiming their own agency. Some may find their hostility diminishing with time and the development of affirming personal religious identities–but others may simply remain angry.
**Belief In the Devil: While atheism remains the norm in Satanist circles, some people do practice Satanic devotion because they believe the devil is in some sense real. While this may be less common, it’s perhaps the most straightforward embodiment of the concept.
There seems to be essentially no orthodoxy among believers, who tend to cite “revealed personal gnosis”--that is, the belief that Satan or a messenger of Satan has communicated spiritual truths directly to them. Anecdotes about dream communications, visions, or contact through magical rituals, drug hallucinations, or all of the above are fairly common, although by no means necessary. Devotion to more obscure devil-like religious figures, such as Set, Angra Mainyu, Lilith, or other historically demonic expressions may either supplement or replace devotion to the devil per se.
***Romantic Satanism: Also perhaps called Literary or Post-Romantic Satanism, Romantic Satanists revere the devil as depicted in art, literature, and popular culture, particularly from the late 18th through early 20th centuries, when many radicals, freethinkers, libertines, and reformers adopted Satan as an icon of new social, artistic, and political movements.
Although "Romantic" is the term (and movement) emphasized by religions like the Satanic Temple, ANY devil from any work/period/genre could serve the same ends--Decadent Satanists, Anarchic Satanists, etc; The intent of the original artist or writer is not necessarily that important, as the Satanist’s subjective analysis of the Satan figure almost always takes precedent.
****Political Satanism: Increasingly, Satanic sects like the Satanic Temple are in the news for direct action, political lobbying, or litigation challenging religiously motivated lawmaking, church/state breaches, and double standards in public life. For many non-Satanists, these brief items may be the first and only exposure they ever get to real Satanism; a small but not insignificant number of these may begin identifying as Satanists themselves for political or social reasons, or simply because they find the idea fun.
In the past, we have been reluctant to qualify these examples as (as much as we hate to use terms like this) “real Satanists,” as in our opinion a religious Satanist should have at least some kinship with, ya know, Satan, in whatever myriad and diverse ways we define that term, and the idea that Satanists are “trolls” or “just atheists” is actually quite annoying. That said, it is possible that as time goes on that this kind of Satanic identity will grow and perhaps become significant in its own right, and within a generation we may see conflict between purely “secular,” “political,” or even “social” Satanists and religious Satanists–time will tell.
#*Cultural Satanism: Some people may adopt a Satanic identity or milieu by pursuing a related interest or by falling in with a scene. The most prominent example of this is surely the Black Metal movement; while not every Black Metal band or fan identifies as a Satanist, those who do are generally not regarded as unusual. Dr. John Skutlin’s thesis notes a similar albeit less widespread trend in Japan’s goth and occult subcultures, and some of the aforementioned Romantics might ironically have been called Cultural Satanists as well.
Again, we may be tempted to ask to what degree is this “real Satanism” and to what degree is it merely fashion, aesthetic, art, or personal expression? These questions, however, presume that these are all distinct terms. For some devotees, the pose of Satanism may be no more significant than the patches on their jacket, but others may find personal and religious fulfillment through music and fashion; a spectrum between these points is easy to imagine.
#**Folk Satanism: Similar to Cultural Satanism, Folk Satanism happens when inherited cultural beliefs about the devil yield unexpected results; Swedish scholar Mikael Hall relates how when the Christianization of northern Europe reclassified traditional nature and forest spirits to demons, many people continued invoking their blessing in hunting and fishing in traditional ways, such that the devil himself was sometimes even propitiated in this fashion
Anyone identifying as a Satanist on social media today will inevitably receive messages from strangers in various North and West African countries asking for devilish help in securing material success, as Christian missionary myths have yielded similar results to the historical Swedish example. This can happen in “witchcraft” communities as well, where the taboos against anything perceived as devil worship or black magic inevitably make those themes enticing to some.
The difference between Folk Satanism and Cultural Satanism is that in this case the association with the devil is NOT encouraged by the culture providing the Satanism model but happens anyway, as a direct but unintended consequence of those beliefs.
#***“I Read the Satanic Bible”: For many, this is as complex as Satanism gets. In many cases, different devotees may extract wildly different perspectives and values from the same text (even if they all assume they are roughly in correspondence with each other), but this of course is a common outcome with virtually every religious book. While the LaVey Bible remains clearly the most prominent example, it is probably possible for this to happen with any number of other works.
#****Anti-Social Satanism: Finally, there are a small number of people who may adopt Satanic religion simply because they feel that it dovetails with some extremist view they want to promote; Neo Nazi Satanic antics are perhaps the most common, but we may also see purely individual and even more extreme cases, such as serial killer Richard Ramirez, who seems to like to affect Satanism to get a rise out of people. This would not include the likes of “rebellious teens,” “shock rockers,” or “trolls,” but is reserved for those with truly malign intent.

Other possible classifications:
-"Generational Satanists" may simply inherit shared religious perspectives from parents or other key figures from childhood; since I assume such people would be influenced by their parents' perspectives, I don't see this as independent, but that may change.
-"Queer Satanists" may identify with Satan for what we might call political reasons but not in a political way; Stephen Bradford Long, for example, qualified what he called "natural blasphemy," noting that being a queer man makes him in some way inseparably associated with the devil even if he were not to act on that association, making this a kind of passive partner to Political Satanism; "queer" is here a placeholder term. This may be similar to what Joseph Rose calls "Outsider Satanism"...but I stopped listening to Rose years ago, so I don't know.
-"Faux Satanists" admittedly stretch the word/concept to the breaking point; however, a great many erstwhile Christian youths will experiment with "the occult," very much believing that Tarot cards/Ouija boards or whatever are literal tools of the devil but still feel attracted to them both because and in spite of this.
The difference between Faux and Cultural Satanism is that the Faux Satanist experiments with Satan specifically to bolster their faith in some other religious identity, and they will in years to come speak in breathless terms of their "witchcraft phase." Again, I admit it's hard to qualify this as Satanism at all, but indulging in devilish taboos in such an intentional way like this makes it not quite orthodox religion either.
EDIT: I'm also considering a category of "empowering" or "affirming" Satanism--people whose primary Satanic expression is an assertion of their own self-worth. This obviously would have a lot in common with some of the above categories, but in this case it's possible the Satanist has no specific idea or model of Satan in mind but instead just find the deviance of the word/concept empowering.
For LaVey types who imagine themselves to be "elitists," we might also call this Egocentric Satanism...although I would disqualify some/most of those because in my opinion worshiping the self is an entirely different idea that really has nothing to do with any Satan at all.

The student’s project was supposed to build on my Ph.D. findings. Thus, the student was given materials I generated and my manuscripts. When she submitted her thesis my work was temporarily embargoed and so the software that checks for plagiarism would not have picked up on anything.
I don’t want to damage anyone’s reputation if the claims are untrue. I cannot check for myself because her thesis seems to be permanently embargoed. So I thought I can contact the academic misconduct department of the University she attended and ask them to compare my thesis, which is publicly available, to restricted/embargoed theses in their system via dedicated software. This way I don’t have to give the students name, thesis title etc in advance. My concern is that her supervisor is very powerful (and not a shining example of ethical conduct) and that Universities do not want bad rep. Can I trust them? What other routes can I take without harming anyone at this stage?

Hey divers! I am currently in the process of getting funding for my PhD project. At my university its common practice to work in projects which are related to the planned thesis. Since I am in this sub, I obviously love diving and I really would like combine my work with diving.
I work in the field of polymer based additive manufacturing. So mostly FDM or SLS printing on a material or process sciences base.
Ive come across projects like the ocean clean up or Ghost Diving i.e. and think what they are doing is completely awesome.
So my first idea would be something with generating thermoplastic reinforced thermoplasts, CFRP, composite printing in general i.e. made out of illegally disposed fishing nets or gathered polymer debris.
I would like to ask you weather you know of anything (projects, organisations, institutions..) that could grant funding or people who are interested collaborating in a project.

Over a week ago, I decided to re-download Pokémon GO so I could have fun with my friends; do some Suicune raids, participate in the regional Battle event, get my third Master Ball, things like that. Unfortunately, I am unable to play the game, and my thesis is that something that my avatar is currently wearing is unable to load properly, which is crashing my game on the "Stay Aware of Your Surroundings" screen. For those who are unaware, that is, for instance, the "Do not play Pokémon GO while driving." disclaimer warning screen.
First, I deleted the application on April 1 following Niantic's decision to remove Normal AR for catching from the game unilaterally with no explanation. Since then, I have only played twice; first during Bellsprout Community Day (4/20/2024) and when that concluded, I deleted the app again. On 4/29/2024, I caught wind of Normal AR's return so I played hard for a few hours. Then, I learned that Niantic removed Normal AR again when people were very happy about it, but did not cite that it was "a mistake" that they made, but we all assumed so. I deleted the app and frustratingly went to bed. In both instances, the game was loading fine, but behaving in Niantic's standards as per usual.
Second, I remember wearing the Cofagrigus mask and the full body suit that comes with it. The game was running mostly smoothly. Nothing appeared to be seriously wrong. However, this is no longer the case, as you can hopefully see and understand, since something on my avatar is prohibiting me from loading up the overworld. I can confirm that a friend of mine put both of those items (the mask and body suit) on, and her game doesn't crash. My avatar is wearing SOMETHING ELSE, which I do not know WHAT since the last time I changed my avatar was the day the new Avatars released (because, of course, I wanted to hide my character in shame from the horribly designed Avatars that released), and whatever it is I'm wearing is the culprit for this mess.
Third, I have been told three suggestions beforehand: reinstall the app (a friend), turn off native refresh rate (a reddit poster - no, I cannot even toggle that switch if I cannot sign in, why was this even a suggestion), and to clear all the caches from my phone including web browsers (Niantic Support) which didn't help at all. The game still crashes on the DisclaimeWarning screen. This further proves my thesis that some item on my Avatar, since the last three updates, is the cause of my inability to load up the overworld and interact with any of the buttons, because the game simply freezes and then crashes on the "Stay Aware of Your Surroundings" screen.
Finally, I've signed into a different account, I've had my friends check their accounts - all of them work fine, until they interact with ANYTHING that has to do with my account. More about that in the video exhibits, which I will describe now. There is a short video (please watch and share it out) about the problem that I uploaded to YouTube containing three different exhibits regarding what happens when anybody interacts with me, whether it being myself or a friend viewing my profile.
Exhibit A: Inability to Play In this exhibit, you can clearly see that my game is loading fine on the main screen. The loading music is playing, the bar is progressing, and then I get the black screen. Right when my game shows the "Stay Aware of Your Surroundings" screen, you can see that the "OK" button doesn't work. You can still hear the music. I swipe out of the application, and can hear the music from my games folder. I tap Office Jerk (seriously, THAT was the chosen thumbnail by YouTube for this post?!), and could still hear the Pokémon GO night music in the background while Office Jerk was loading. It also kept playing while I was playing the app (unpictured).
Exhibit B: Notification Error On a spare phone, I load up an alternate account to test the theory that something on my avatar is blocking me from playing the game. The overworld loads fine, and I get past the "Stay Aware of Your Surroundings" screen. An in-game notification appears shortly after, "Jiquor received 8 items from your Gift!" My profile icon has a green background with an anonymous grey old-looking Avatar. If you look closely when that loads, the small white circles that float around abruptly stop, and I try to tap the Daily Adventure Incense (D.A.I.) icon, where it simply refuses to respond. Exhibit C: My Avatar is Dead, and It Will Kill You Too (Sounds like a title for a Pokémon GO CreepyPasta.) Here, you can see another alternate account that I haven't used in years. The game loads fine. I can catch stuff. I can interact with every button. Things are fine... Until I open my friends list. This account has my profile and one of my closest friends listed as friends. I begin by tapping my closest friend's profile, and it loads fine - Avatar, Buddy and all. I can still interact with everything. Finally, I tap my account's profile, and once it loads the shadow - yes, the SHADOW, - my game freezes, and then crashes. Keep in mind that my avatar shows the Cofagrigus Mask (implying "I am dead.") and the whole game still works, which was a surprise. But when you tap my profile, that's when the freezing and crash occurs.
Overall, all of these exhibits clearly demonstrate in three different ways that my account is wearing an avatar item that is prohibiting me specifically from accessing Pokémon GO. I have tried so many suggestions, I've contacted Niantic, and I've used a different phone all in the last week to figure out a resolution. Since Thursday, May 2, I've been completely unable to play the game after reinstalling it on May 2, and reinstalling/updating again and again. I am not banned. I am not terminated. I am only restricted because there is something my character is wearing that is broken, thus disallowing me from continuing further into the Pokémon GO application, and disallowing friends who get notifications about my account and who view my friends list to further interact with Pokémon GO. Niantic has not fixed this in the last three updates, their support line was unhelpful and likely A.I. ("Artificial Intelligence") generated, and I only hope the word about this issue can be spread further so I can hopefully seek a resolution.
GO Fest is fast approaching. I have a PAID TICKET to access the New York City festival and the Global Event. I had bought my plane ticket and hotel WAY in advance (bought in early March, a month before the "RediscoverGO" stuff). Keep in mind that I still want to attend Go Fest N.Y.C. very much. Besides the point, if this continues to persist through July 6-9, then it's possible further escalation may be warranted.
T.L.D.R. - Something my character is wearing is crashing my game, and other people's games. I've tried countless resolutions with no fix, and the videos clearly demonstrate that an item on my Avatar is the culprit for this problem.

Hi! So, I'm Chilean, born and raised a few minutes after the dictatorship. Also a bit of a US-obsessed political junkie, which had me dreading Civil War but also a bit excited. My short take is that I really loved some parts, but overall... Roxana Hadadi at Vulture said it better: It became trapped in its own cynicism and went too ambiguous in its politics for it to say something with a punch. That being said, there were clever moments, like the fact [SPOILERS AHEAD] that nearly all the refugees in the camp the protagonist stay at are BIPOC. Or more pointedly, that when the neonazi militias kidnap Jessie and Bohai, it is Sammy, the only Black person among them, who realizes that "negotiating" with them is a waste... just plow through them with what you have at hand.
But in all, and as someone from a country who carries the intergenerational trauma of dictatorship and civil strife (not to mention the uprising of 2019), this movie reinforced an opinion I have: White Americans and Non-Irish Britons still can't fully grasp what it is to live under a dictatorship and/or civil conflict*. Even for those who migrated from an European country, by the second generation, they assimilate into an experience that blocks them from understanding what it means to have your civil rights stripped from you, if not the entire infrastructure of life as you knew it. It feels like in real life as in the movie, they generally become spectators of foreign tragedies, one that every once in a while grazes them (9/11, the IRA bombing campaigns in England), but has never really touched them... so far. And in being spectators, they tend to gloss over the causes of the conflict (9/10 times, something the US or UK fucked up). Civil War should've explored further the causes of the conflict beyond the "neutrality" of the journo main characters.
Which leads me to my biggest gripe with Garland's decisions: He based a lot of this second civil war to ones like the Lebanese Civil War, with its multiple parties clashing and switching alliances, all committing similar levels of war crimes, the ultimate thesis of the movie being "war is brutal, don't do it". But in the current context we are in, it becomes clearer that this CWII would look more like the Bosnian-Kosovo War: Both sides commited war crimes, but one did it on a much larger, systematic and state-sponsored scale, and sometimes conflict is just the only option you're left with against a tyrannical force. That is a conversation we're having in Chile as of recently: Were the scattered armed resistance groups agains the dictatorship justified? We were lucky to have the "Good Ending" (conditions apply), the dictatorship was ousted via referendum, but the evening of said referendum we came this fucking close to the dictatorship just stealing the election and the country being plunged into a similar civil war, and me probably being born in the US Embassy or something (long story).
But people in Syria, Bosnia, Kosovo, Sierra Leone or Thailand haven't been as lucky. So I would love to hear how was the Civil War Movie Experience for y'all. Do you believe actually Alex Garland got it? Did it hit different? (BTW, marginalized folks from the US are welcome too, of course)
