Hello, new to this S.R. I am constantly switching up my landscape, and after poorly setting concrete pavers as a border, I ripped them up and sold them on marketplace! Paid $0.25 each, sold for $0.33 each. Yes Profit, regular Price is $0.69 each. Nonetheless I want to simplify and create a true 4 season garden.

1. I want to add lighting to my back and front yard. Looking at some VOLT Lighting Kits on sale at Lowes. I believe $260 for 6 lights, 100W transformer, and all the wiring, etc. Regular price is $400. Thinking of getting one if not two (I live on 5 acres and my yards are big! Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thinking of uplighting a couple exterior walls and the 4 trees in my pack yard as well as my new flagstone patio.
   
2. I just purchased roughly a ton of bluestone flagstone on Marketplace for $40, yes $40. Tons of work to load and unload, but worth it. Roughly $400 value I found. I don't know if I want to do a moss joint or a polymeric sand joint. I have heard of stone dust and all of that. I want this patio to be rip-up-able, if I change my mind in the future. A nice moss and maybe creeping thyme joint seems nice. This patio will be in my japanese maple, hydrangea, hosta, heuchera , elephant ear, stone sedum area. It gets morning sun and is shaded in the afternoon, natural moss grows where my Bermuda grass doesn't. Moss seems like something that will soften the area. Make it feel older and like its been there a while.
   
3. Looking to introduce some garden/landscape antiques in. Any inspiration pictures would be greatly appreciated. Looking for an antique millstone, or antique cast stone/concrete statuary. Anyone want to stand in my yard posed like Altas or Persephone? Will cook you really good food from the Potager garden!

My post begins on a sunny morning at the office. I was sitting in my cubicle with a cup of coffee in one hand and last quarter's sales report in other. Tom, my team lead, dropped by my desk with a sigh. The silence spoke volumes about our department's lackluster performance and it seemed like we were all stuck in a rut.
During the next team meeting, Tom dropped the bombshell and announced that it’s time for a shakeup and that we should all adopt a “growth mindset”. Seeing our blank expressions, he elaborated saying it means learning from mistakes, maintaining confidence, and avoiding the fear of failure. It sounded like new-age jargon to me but I was willing to give it a shot.
I decided to start with improving my communication – a skill I have always struggled with. So, I started by actively seeking feedback. I made a habit of asking for input after every presentation or meeting. It was painful to hear the shortcomings. But as Carol Dweck had said, “In a growth mindset, challenges are exciting rather than threatening. So rather than thinking, oh, I'm going to reveal my weaknesses, you say, wow, here's a chance to grow.”
This newfound perspective changed the way I communicated. I began to take the criticisms less personally and started focusing on improving those areas. Moreover, I started using the “Zoom In/Zoom Out” mental model. It’s about understanding when we need to focus on finer details (zooming in) and when we need to step back to look at the bigger picture (zooming out).
This simple shift in perspective allowed me to better understand my team's requirements and to communicate my ideas more effectively. It was no less than a revelation to me when I realized that a change in mindset can really lead to personal growth and development. Now, I am an ardent advocate of a growth mindset myself and encourage others to adopt it too.
P.S. - Now don’t go thinking that this was all a piece of cake. Transitioning to a growth mindset is as easy as nailing jelly to a tree (Hint: it’s not!). But hey, the effort is worth the growth, and no, my office doesn’t actually serve jelly during our meetings. This was a hypothetical scenario just to give a glimpse into how mental models could be integrated into our daily life. Keep smiling, keep growing!

This will be a small rant with some questions because this rabbit hole has stripped my life away.
I (college student, current B2.2 in Hochdeutsch) live in Iowa, not far from a few large (comparatively) Amish communities. For reasons undisclosed, my family and I were exploring some of the shops and meeting the people there. In a little shop that sells flour, we found a little book for sale. It is a children's book titled "Bivvel Shtories fa Kinnah" (educated guess: Bible Stories for Children/Bibelgeschichten für Kinder.) After lamenting that I hadn't the money to buy it, my mom drove back the next day and got it for me as a birthday gift (aww) and so I set out to translate it, but not before trying to make sense of what I could on my own. It was really weird the things I learned, like how they put definite articles before proper nouns (Da Adam un di Eve.) And sentences I can make out: Da Goliath voah en grohsah giant.
But there is something about this book or maybe the specific dialect in which it is written. For one, there seem to be English words sprinkled about: Di soldiers henn nett vella een fechta (educated guess: the soldiers had... a fight) I wonder if this is some type of 'Denglisch' that real world Amish people actually use. But even more odd, the language is like no other source I can find. It was my thought that Amish people speak Plattdeutsch and that Plattdeutsch was nearly synonymous with the Amish, but this book is starkly different that any Plattdeutsch manuscripts I can find. For one, the Plattdeutsch use the word "Bibel" to refer to the Bible, not "Bivvel" as this book does. So I googled what languages the Amish actually speak and I got three answers: Plattdeutsch, Pennsylvania Dutch, and Pfälzisch (aka Palatine German.) From what I understand, Palatine German is either a dialect of Plattdeutsch or Plattdeutsch is a dialect of it or they are both sort of sister dialects that coexist as dialects of German in a similar geographical region. Also I did see that Palatine German has its own sub-dialects namely West- und Nordpfälzeisch which, if you ask me, makes Palatinian its own language but there's a reason linguists don't consult me before making these categories, isn't there. Anyways, as for the alleged Pennsylvania Dutch language, which even the book's author claims the language to be ("At last, some of our favorite Bible stories have been written in the everyday language of the Pennsylvania Dutch!") can I not even tell if it be a language or not. My first thought is that "the language of the Pennsylvania Dutch" or "spoken in Pennsylvania Dutch" as written many times in various sources discussing the Amish/Pennsylvania Dutch (which is just a term that means Amish... right?) is just a way of referring to Plattdeutsch without saying Plattdeutsch because then they have to explain what Plattdeutsch is and how it's not standard German and the whole story of religious oppression that led to the mass migration of Northern Germans to (eventually) North America where they rejected change and held fast to their traditions blah blah blah. So it's easier to just say Pennsylvania Dutch. But based on this book being spoken of as having been written in Pennsylvania Dutch and the fact that this book is certainly not written in any Plattdeutsch I have seen before or since, I am starting to believe (and asking for confirmation from you all) that Pennsylvania Dutch as a language is something different in at least some ways from Plattdeutsch. My guess would be that Plattdeutsch refers to some dialect spoken in Germany (maybe in the Northern Rhine Region with all that Franco-Pfälzisch influence) and the Pennsylvania Dutch language was at some point the same but all these years of geographical separation has caused a rift in spelling and jargon that has warranted a debate of whether or not they are to be referred to as the same or as different names and that I am caught in the middle of this debate now. Just a guess. Or perhaps it's a classic example of a lack of standardized spelling in which a word like Bibel might also be spelled Bivvel given the extensive linguistic history of the 'B' and 'V' sounds intermingling.
So there we have it folks, the fruits of the tree that is me not sleeping and pacing in my room over a children's bible story book. So I ask y'all to tell me what you can about Plattdeutsch, the Amish's linguistic habits, Palatine German and history, and also if you can find any good dictionaries/translators for any of the aforementioned, as what I found was lacking at best. I would be happy to scan and send you a copy of the children's book on request. Thanks for reading and I hope such a rant was enough to inspire any baby German learners into learning more.

I have a small landscaping business. I have about 23 customers and they give me about $25,000 in sales in the summer for lawn cuts. This does not include upsells like tree trimming mulching clean ups etc.
How much would I be able to sell this business for. Would I be able to sell each customer to another business? How can I get something out of this! Instead of losing my business.

Hey, this is my first time posting on this reddit page. I just wanted to introduce myself before giving a full on theory in relation to my thoughts and predictions for any rdr content. I have been thinking, what if rdr2 had a dlc? How would rockstar do it right? There probably won't be a dlc or anytime soon so I came up with a storyline for the dlc in my opinion. It should include Sadie Trelawny and Charles within a switch character feature like in gta5. Sadie is deep into bounty hunting now, she is more quiet, living in the wetlands of Brazil and bounty hunting is paying the bills. But she is still thinking of the loved people she left behind, anyway, Sadie meets a nice young teenage guy who is also a bounty hunter and they are working for the same sheriffs around, let's say he is 'Fred'. Fred reminds Sadie of Arthur or at least a younger but wiser version, and this interests Sadie more into Fred, but she doesn't know why, Sadie is more quiet and Unsocial so why does she care? From dialogue, we know what her and Fred and thinking, there is a gap that needs to be filled with trust. One of the biggest criminal outlaws in Brazil who is let's say 'pedro' has captured a series of hostages and is holding them in a bunker in Southern Brazil, one of those being Fred, but sadie is in northern Brazil and it would be a really long journey, Sadie is scrambling and confused on what to do , if I save him will he just end up like everybody else I ever loved? She doesn't Trust herself to keep him safe, she agrees with a sheriff that she is only doing detective work but deep inside she needs to help him. While questioning one gang member in particular, he sees clear through Sadie and tells her that he knows who she really wants to save and why she's afraid, exposing the idgaf persona Sadie had. Sadie is angry and brutally beats this guy till he tells her what she wants , but she doesn't want to hear what she needs, he is beaten to a pulp and finally states where the bunker might be, and adds that there may be multiple bunkers. Anyway, Sadie thinks alot about what he said and she questions why she's even so interested in Fred. She then remembers Arthur, which brings a side of weakness in Sadie, crying in her rented hotel rembering Arthur's kindness and sacrifice. She figures out why she's so interested and finally decides to go out and look for Fred and the hostages herself. She asks, what would Arthur do? I'm doing this for him, is what she is saying to stop the truth from coming any longer. The truth is Sadie needs another 'Arthur' in her life, she can't stop holding onto him cuz she scares at losing him again, but she can't try again at loving people so she hides behind heroic personas and excuses to escape while on her journey. But she runs into Pedro in a garden party at a palace and they talk for long, Pedro is a parallel of Sadie, They are both bloody and brutal but Pedro at least understands what he wants and what he needs, he's wealthy but not spoiled with greed, he moves smart and kind. Anyone in his way is killed immediately, ok this is bout to get a lil pg18 so keep touch. Sadie decides to trick Pedro into giving info on the plan, with ultimate guilt, she flirts with him and they end up in a private bedroom upstairs the palace. He finally admits while succumbed in Sadie's seduction, funny thing is, this is WAY out of character for Sadie right? Because she's scrambling with emotions and truthfully she would do anything to find Fred, but she says that she'll do anything for her job and stopping Pedro. In the admist of seduction, lawman and police break into the hotel room and arrest Pedro immediately. Of course, Sadie is put to interrogate Pedro, this is where we finally get a hint of Pedro and Sadie's dynamic. Sadie is disgusted by Pedro's accused actions but she is also deeply disgusted by what she had to do to get here. anyway, Pedro is seen externally as a mob and rider killer with dark thoughts , internally as a smart and thoughtful man with a secret and deceitful truth, hiding behind a persona he tries to believe in, just like Sadie. They are both fighting a battle. Sadie believes she is saving them for her honor, but truthfully she is really saving Fred. As Sadie gets closer to saving Fred the more difficult it gets to hide. Before the climatic battle, Sadie and a few other lawmen find the final bunker and see amber disguised as a hostage tied up. Sadie sees through it and just loses it, she takes one look at beats him to death while screaming why he is hiding behind his true self. This is Sadie talking to herself. The law men are mortified and traumatized and do not speak to Sadie for the rest of the search. When they find the hostages, Sadie scrambles looking for Fred but doesn't find him, one lawman suggests that he is in Pedro's main house. They find the main house and funnily enough he is right, Fred is held hostage by Pedro. Once they raid Pedro's room they capture Pedro but he reveals dynamite strapped on Fred's back which is lighting from the door handle in a long line. Saide freaks out and tears the dynamite just as it is about to blow and throws it away but accidentally throws it near the lawmen but sadie doesn't seem to care, only if Fred is safe, see Fred is like Arthur, but Arthur is HIM, so Fred can never be an 'Arthur' but he can be Arthur emotionally for Sadie to move forward. Sadie and Fred escape the mansion in the big climactic gunfight where they fight together and walk of into the distance with dead bodies all around them, such as like the red dead revolver ending. Sadie has come out, while not romantically, Sadie and Fred are great friends and Sadie gains faith in society and love again, not romantically lol.
Okay let's switch to Charles. Canada, btw it is spring season so it is really cold and snowy. Charles is more quiet and older but he still has a really close friend of his, his best friend, Victoria, a woman he met on the coast of Canada when he arrived. They have a really great friendship and fit together perfectly, they've been friends for a year and have bonded together really well. The opening scene should have Charles and Victoria chatting to show Charles character when he's with and without her. So basically, these guys for really well and the small town they live in, like Jackson in TLOU2 , knows that they could make a great couple. Suddenly, an agent pops up and tells Charles in a cafe that Victoria is a convincted felon and criminal of the country, but so far, Victoria's character is easily likeable by her importance to Charles, we mostly hate micah cuz what he is to Arthur. Same dynamic here, if Charles loves her, easily likeable, but she is also a genuinely good person, so just like Charles we are confused and refuse that fact because, this agent let's say is 'micheal' Mike seems very greedy and rude in their first encounter. But all of a sudden, Victoria disappears, and cannot be found near their town. So now both Charles and Mike are fighting the same goal, but their is internal conflict their, because mike represents everything Charles hate but Is also everything Charles would take a life for a decade back. He is like Dutch and Charles seeing that questions, if Dutch was that manipulative, then why isn't Mike? Because he didn't seem to be confident is saying that Victoria is a criminal in fact with very little research. This builds suspicion of motive in the antagonist which intrigues us into mike and his motive. As Charles searches for Victoria, he constantly thinks of Dutch and had encounters with Mike that even us the player cna see Dutch inside him, bringing up the plan meme and in one encounter, Mike and Charles fight, but Charles turns this guy into a pancake and flattens him. But Mike seems happy and just walks away. Okay lemme skip forward a bit, Charles keeps encoutering with Mike and keeps getting closer to Victoria until he finally finds Victoria in a jail cell in a sheriff's office in the middle of nowhere at night. He busts her out with his sheir strength and breaks the rusted bars, but Victoria seems to avoid Charles and is distancing herself from him. They talk and Charles asks why she is being distant on the horse ride back to the town and just as Victoria is about to say , a long line of trees beside the road begin to start falling and they ride forward dodging the falling trees in the snowy weather, like that scene in the opening fight of gow Ragnarok. They ride fast and eventually stop in an open snow field and looked behind at the fallen trees and even within the fog Charles spots a group of masked gunmen rushes and taking cover on the fallen trees. Charles immediately dismounts and fights of the gunmen while forcing Victoria to ride away into the distance. One last gunman is left and Charles asks why they are attacking him. He refuses but Charles beats him till his admits, turns out it's not just Mike. This is the wider government, spread out across all of north America, and we find out how agent Ross easily tracked down John and reveal that agent ross' glazer after Javier dies is part of this government organization, the Pinkertons remastered. They are all hunting for them and some undercover agents are killing them through love. This is where truth is revealed. We are given cuts to an agent slicing Reverend Swanson's neck in a hallway, a group of male agents grabbing Mary Beth in a restaurant, and one of Pedro's men, the one who sadie tried to interrogate in particular. This make sense as he was trying to get more out of Sadie but failed and was beaten, something that we thought held no purpose as a scene turned out to leave hints when we okay it back. This makes the organization very unlikable which gives a heavily hated antagonist as we see the characters we love get shamed and beaten. Charles and Victoria have a talk after in a rented motel, Victoria admits that Mike was telling her lies about Charles to tarnish his name but seemed very unconfident in saying it and showed evidence by bruises for their fight. So why is he constantly lying? Is he a bad liar? That is what they say. This talk shows the internal view from both sides, Charles wants to have a family with her and Victoria wants to know about his past. Charles is focusing of future while she is focusing on past, in order for them to move forward. Victoria has to love him, but in order to love him, he has to tell her about his past to form trust. They agree to work together to find out about this organization. This creates a fun gaming experience but also story wise it can transform the theme so quickly in game fashion, something only rdr could do. Throughout the search, they get closer and closer to finding out the truth, but also to each other. They form a dynamic with love, trust and teamwork. In the climax, Charles and Victoria meet Mike together for the first time and they are said to kill mike once and for all. Mike is fishing near the Atlantic ocean and they approach him in the fishing hut. They are supposed to find a gun owned by agent milton and hostages. This scene builds tension like the iconic one in Inglorious Bastards. Charles brings up wolves and ravens and their relationship. Which in subtext means Charles and Victoria's relationship, and how they find prey together, which means them finding Mike together. Charles brings up how the wolves and ravens see each other as equal but see prey as lesser, but prey can be whatever they like with teamwork. Charles finally asks if Mike is hiding hostages and Mike says yes. They find the gun and the hostages and as soon as they exit, they find a group of armed suited gunmen at the door and realize that this is a setup. We get a glimpse of a shotgun shell pressed against the door like the glimpse of the Jews in Inglorious Bastards. Charles duels the gunmen and he finally kills without thought, he kills without Mercy and hastily. Charles always says he kills when he needs to, to protect who he loves but he could have easily overpowered these guys, they had jammed guns and all so he could just beta them and run. But he doesn't, he kills them, he takes their lives. This shows he truly loves Victoria, breaking his one rule just to fully assure her safety. But maybe it was also for the hostages safety right? No, he looks at Victoria and just that one look was enough for him to get to killing. The final gunfight ensues and Charles and Victoria are keeping the hut away from the incoming gunmen which gives the player flashbacks to the final John mission in rdr1, building tension and suspicion on what could happen. In the end, Charles kills Mike in a standoff and gets his leg shoot in the process. He passes out and awakes in a warm bed, he looks to his right and sees Victoysnd immediately smiles, but he looks down and sees his leg is Missing. Victoria explains that they had to amputate his leg to avoid infection, Charles seems worried at first, but a simple gesture of putting her hand on his chest is enough to calm him down. The talk they have is admitting something. Finally, they hug and kiss and boomm that's the end
Okay with Trelawny we can move quick cuz this is getting good. Trelawny has always been distant on the gang and he has always despised the way the gang moved believing there is always a way with peace. In New York, the most violent side, Trelawny gets a first hand at what the gang had to do to survive. He bumps into a man in a bar and they entice s bar brawl which Trelawny walks away from. Trelawny is more quiet and intelligent now but still avoids violence. In the morning Trelawny find out he has sparked a war with a gang let's say is 'Jack Grinners'. These guys are the most dangerous gang in this side of the city, the other sides are the mafia and stuff. He is being hunted and isn't safe there so he moves to the more mafia motioned streets of NY but is still in trouble because he has a daughter and she may be killed. In sorrow, he bumps into another gang member, but a Mafia member instead , expecting a fight he immediately apologizes and the guy is super nice and kind, Trelawny kind of bonds with him and explains his situationb and he helps Trelawny, let's say he is 'Gary' (weak ahh name Ik). Gary is part of a heavily respected Mafia family and Trelawny with no other place to turn asks for advice on how to deal with the guys. Gary suggests he should build his own gang, Trelawny immediately disagrees stating his disgust in violence. Fast forward, Trelawny keeps getting pressured by this gang and they hold him to a state where he is homeless and his daughter is starving, he has no other choice. He visits a priest but the priest seems to only want money so that was hopeless. He even attempts to take his life, but finally he decides to start a gang, but a Mafia like gang. Mixing both parts of the town. At first, Trelawny starts a bar business with the little money he has left and hangs posters for the bar. He gains a lot of customers very fast due to the alcohol issues in NY. He one day takes all of these volunteers to a basement as begins his plan, they start with cattleman revolvers but ease up. At first they refuse but eventually Trelawny reveals why he needs them and they agree in the pitiful moment. They start weapon deals with the mafia and the Jack Grinners' rival gangs. This adds a new feature in the rdr franchise, leading a gang, similar to camp in rdr2 but ur the leader and you call shots and you can make your own parties and stuff. This liquor business slowly becomes a large gang association and Trelawny gets more and more money for the player's own grind. And eventually, Trelawny's name and gang is a public statement and he is now respected for his authenticity as a leader and as a man while other gang leaders rely on sales or henchmen to be authentic. This heavy respect makes Trelawny finally gain the respect of the Jack Grinners but he feels something missing, these guys took everything from him and he wants revenge. Even though his daughter pleaded he begins his rivalry.. okay fats forward, the rivalry is at an all time high, but also taking a toll on Trelawny's mental state, he is filled with pride and vengeance he's forgotten the people that built him up. Ignoring raising his daughter and even ignoring and power abusing his men. This slowly crumbles his personality and makes him more and more brutal and heartless. Even one night beating his daughter after she yelled at him for sleeping with multiple women and prostitutes. In the climactic ending, Trelawny enters a fancy and luxurious bar at night with intent to meet someone who has been seen taking his guns and oil. He sits down and has a tensing conversation with him with both bodyguards behind their seats. Things go hellwire and Trelawny reveals he has bombs planted all around the bar and will blow everyone up. He has officially lost it, in the beginning he had concern for every life, he was never loyal to the gang. Now, the gang is all his has left to be loyal to, and doesn't care about any human life including his own. He explodes the bar while exiting but he gets vision of his daughter and looks behind to see her crying on her knees just as he presses the button. He runs back in to save her but it is too late. She is dead. All of a sudden, Trelawny wakes up in his mansion with his guards beside him. His body is Corrupt Trelawny but his mind is Old Trelawny. He awakes in a mansion confused and walks around realizes what he has done. Pride had destroyed him and it ends with him trying to cross the road while limping and a wagon moving fast hits him and a fade to black just before we see it hit him.
These stories explore different topics about the characters and how they cope with the loss of the gang they once had, and how they chose to move forward, how they've changed. With Charles the only one knowing that John has died, he goes back to Beecher's hope in a post credit scene of the dlc credits. And he buries John with javk and a fade to black again.... Boom the end. These stories cover love, pride, corruption, Depravity, romance, sacrifice and reputation. These stories dive deep into the characters and give them what they didn't have enough time to give on screen in rdr2. These antagonists fit perfectly with the characters and their motives and philosophies. Sadie believes that she can never love a human again or care for one, Pedro challenges that by testing her belief to the fullest making a person that embodies her of the last man she ever cared about and seeing if she is speaking or hiding, by making her do some out of character things like seduction or brutally beating a man to death. Mike is the one thing that stops Charles from having a future but is only the one thing that makes Charles go back to the past, by Victoria. Charles wanted a family and future for himself and believed only to kill with meaning. Mike challenges that by forcing himself or be so unlikable and dangerous for Victoria that there is no other escape than by killing to save the person he loves, not the people. Because mike was an embodiment of Dutch and Charles was riding with Dutch but had that rule at the same time which caused Charles to question his past, but also Victoria by lying to both of them intentionally causing confusing and need for truth for both of them, using manipulation as a tool, just like Dutch. The real antagonist of Trelawny's story was pride and in the end pride won but story wise it was the Jack Grinners, Trelawny's one rule was to never use violence if someone just gets in your way, but by riding with Dutch he was told that they aren't getting in the way, they're stopping the way. A philosophy he refused and never inflicted violence on anyone, the Jack Grinners push that move to the furthest to see what would happen if Trelawny was given the burden of Arthur and the potential of Dutch, it made him prideful and spoiled his spirit and harmed the people around him, forcing a vision of only power and not leadership, there is a big difference. My personal favorite is Trelawny's story but what about you

Sorry if this isnt the place to ask this, but me and my sister have started a world together where we are stuck on an island for a challenge. The only trees we have here are oak. I was wondering if there was anyway to get other saplings or any type of other wood without going to any mainland? (The rules are that all of our resources must come from the island, under the island, or in the ocean.)
I was thinking maybe wondering trader but many have come by and none have had a sapling for sale yet, and i also dont have any emeralds lol. Also, I usually play java, but this time were on bedrock since thats what my sister plays on.

Hey all -
Summer is finally rolling around up here in the Willamette Valley (8a) and the good news is my garden is 75% in the ground. However - I had an empty sunny spot left, happened upon a plant sale, one thing led to another... and now I have two mature Chandler blueberry plants in planter pots. I want to transplant them into the new spot, but they already have fruit. I want to avoid transplant shock (or worse) but I'm honestly not confident either of them will survive the summer in their current pots.
Not sure what to do - what do you think?
If it matters - previous owner had a thriving rose garden in that spot, so while I haven't tested the soil, my instinct is it's acidic enough. Our soil around here is generally acidic anyway. I also worked in some compost ~2/3 weeks ago. The spot is against the west-facing side of our house but gets some mid-afternoon shade from a tree; supposed to be in the high 60s to high 70s for the next several weeks, so I don't think there's much risk the plants just absolutely fry.

I (m19) had a big collection of my favorite game series called skylanders (if you don’t know what skylanders is it’s a game where you scan figures that will appear in game and then you can play as this figure) I had this collection since I was in the 1 grade.Every year we have a big gathering in the woods where we grill we bring presents for everyone except my aunt (F43) she would always criticize my presents that I made myself when I was 4.When I turned 5 we couldn not go to the woods because of construction near by I was in my room playing skylanders spyros adventure on my ps3 when I heard my door open the he was my little cousin she had him 2010 but decided to bring him now.Paused my game as I was at the final boss my cousin wanting to play whit my figure I had limited version of a train character that was fully red I really loved this figure, so I handed him a broken figure that didn’t worked. He loved this figure it was the character stealth elf when it was 2014 he was 4 and I got the newest game at that time skylanders trap team he even brought me some traps ( if you didn’t know this games gimmick was the traps that you can trap villains in and play as them) I managed to trap gulper when my aunt came running in. She looked panicked as she forgot a gift for my cousin as she saw a figure in the second game of the series the newest skylanders are the giants and if you brought the ps3 version of the game you get a special figure of the character tree Rex, she picked it up and gave it my cousin. I love collecting rare figures of the character amd I was mad when she took him from me i asked for him backed and she screamed at me „it is a stupid figure“ my father told her to give it back. Forward to 2018 i came home from school to play Fortnite whit my friends when I remembered that my parents had their monthly garage sale and this time they told everyone in my family if they help they can keep a little bit of money and of course my aunt had helped them. I didn’t think much of it I went to my room and noticed that my skylanders collection was gone I old my parents not to touch my collection since it was expensive I later found out that my aunt soled everything and took the money. I ran to my aunties house since she lived 3km away I saw my cousin paying on a new ps4 I asked my aunt where she got it and she told me to mind my own $hit. I later found out that she soled my 2.805 euro skylanders collection for a ps4 I told my parents and after a lot of shouting she gave me not enough money and the buyer didn’t want to give the collection back I started to rebuild my collection pice by pice my aunt disappeared after quarantine

I've been playing for 50+ hours and recently realized I really enjoy building new camps. Problem is, I have just a few camp items from Atomic Shop (greenhouse, log cabin kit). Don't get me wrong, I’m quite happy with my creations so far but I’m looking for even more flexibility.
So currently the New Home Mega-Bundle is on sale for 1750 atoms. I wonder whether it’s worth picking it up or if I should focus on staple items like Contemporary CAMP Bundle for 1200. Or maybe something else entirely?

So many of you know all the Pokémon professors were all named after trees, Oak, Rowan, Birch, etc. Some of you may also know that tradition was technically stopped by Sada and Turo being named after Pasado and Futuro, Spanish words for Past and Future. However the tradition is living on through Director Clavell and our homeroom teacher Jacq. But I realized something, Miss Tyme the math teacher is probably named after Thyme, the herb. I started doing research and I realized every teacher at the academy has a plant or tree name.
Hassel: Not exactly a plant, but a dish made with a plant, Hasselbeck potatoes.
Dendra: Might be a stretch like Hassel, but she might be named after Rhododendron with an "a." instead of an "o."
Raifort: If you look up "Pokémon scarlet and violet teachers." her name comes up as horseradish which is what also popped up when I looked up Raifort plant.
Miriam: There's many flowers with the name Miriam or Myriam.
Saguaro: Is a tree-like cactus.
Salvatore: I think he is the least likely to have his name after a plant or tree considering in his classes he said his name means "Savior.", which is Italian. There is a plant called Salvia Salvatore Blue.

Hey guys, I've been grinding the british tech tree (both ground and air) and I'm going to buy the Challenger DS pack and a air premium pack on the summer sale but I don't know which one to buy.
I wanted to ask which air premium pack would be better to buy. The Wyvern S4 or the F-4J(UK) Phantom II?
I think that both would be pretty good for cas but I don't know which one would be better for grinding the air tree.

so I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to do some research. Will be sharing some info and screenshots in the comments.
So as we know Barnes & Noble used to own Gamestop ($GME) back in 2004. It was seperated and spun-off to become it’s own. Barnes & Noble Education is the part of the company that has locations within college campuses to provide students with a variety of books and services including other retail items for sale. Recently Immersion Corporation $IMMR finished acquiring a bunch of shares for BNED. But why would a company like Immersion work with Barnes & Noble? So Immersion actually owns a ton of patents for software and haptics which is also associated with… GAMING! In fact they have also work with other large names like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. As we know, Gamestop not only sells games but also gaming consoles. A huge amount of profits generated by Gamestop comes from retail locations.
Barnes & Noble Education has locations all over different College Campuses… and who loves Gaming? Well I’m sure College-Aged students like doing their fair share of gaming! With Gamestop locations fading away in decaying malls, how strategic would it be to partner with Colleges to have a location in their campus! Or better yet… acquire the company that birthed them and therefore having now the ability to put their products on sale in major campuses booming with the demographic that happens to also love gaming?
Acquiring BNED would allow for expansion to College Campuses thus generating more sales! Now with Immersion, Gamestop would have a partner (or perhaps acquire aswell) to help create new accessories, gaming consoles, and gaming software to expand this part of the business. Immersion owns a TON of patents. Working with them would allow Gamestop to create state of the art products and even games generating much more profit!
So as we know, BNED converted a ton of debt into shares. If the company wasn’t doing well, why would a company accept shares instead of cash unless they believed BNED was on the road towards success? Why would BNED work with a company like Immersion and why would they want to acquire a ton of shares of BNED? Lastly, Gamestop announced today that they had over a $1 Billion in Cash and even issued more shares. What is Gamestop preparing for? Could it be to purchase Barnes & Noble (and Barnes & Noble Education)?
In 2019, Elliot Investment Management purchased Barnes & Noble for $683 Million Dollars. Barnes & Noble has approximately 600 retail stores across the US. If Gamestop acquired Barnes & Noble, they would also have 600 additional locations to market their products.
Gamestop and Barnes & Noble would become the ultimate Entertainment retailer! It would only make sense that acquiring Barnes & Noble would allow for expansion of retail locations especially in College Campuses filled with young adults who may also love gaming! Partnering or maybe acquiring IMMR would also help pave the way for Gamestop to create their own softwares, games, consoles, and more!
I believe that an acquisition from GME is not too far fetched at all and may be exactly what BNED and IMMR are preparing for!

In regards to Roaring Kitty’s Memes.
Roaring Kitty always talks about how GME has potential for growth and he started believing in them and made the initial videos 3 years ago… then on his stream yesterday, he mentioned he still believes in the company and hinted that something might be happening… why else would he purchase so many June 21 calls? And the picture of the gamer sitting up means he saw something that caught his eye in regards to GME. Perhaps expansion in retail through the acquisition of the mother company Barnes & Noble? He posted that picture early to mid May I believe when deal was coming out between Immersion and BNED.
On the ET Video posted by Roaring Kitty, I found a user on Reddit mention how ET’s home planet is called is called the “Green Planet”. As we know, Green Haven has a 10% stake in BNED. This user on Reddit mentioned how perhaps Green Haven is representative of the “Green Planet” with ET being Gamestop returning home to Barnes & Noble.

On May 17, Roaring Kitty also posted a video from Coldplay’s The Scientist where a man is walking backwards. At the end of the video you see a bunch of trees. Greenery … again. “Green”. Walking backwards could represent Gamestop going back to it’s roots with Barnes & Noble. Perhaps Greenhaven facilitating the deal.
Also on May 17, Roaring Kitty posts another video where the man asks if the papers were “originals”, as we know GME was originally part of Barnes & Noble. The video then shows a picture of a Kitty saying “Hang in there”. This could also represent Roaring Kitty saying the plan is the same as 3 years ago with his projection that Gamestop will continue to grow as a company and further emphasizing to his followers that he is solely invested in Gamestop with the original intentions as before.
On the video before the “Originals”, Roaring Kitty posted another video on the 17th with a man opening a box that says “Gamestop” and later 2 men asking “what’s in the box”? As we know Gamestop just sold shares to collect more money but what could they be using the money for? Could it be to acquire the original company Barnes & Noble?

I bought these young trees from my park district’s native plant sale (Illinois) and planted them 3 weeks ago. I think they are in transplant shock but I’m not sure. Any advice on how I should be caring for them?

PART ONE THOUSAND AND TWENTY

Sunday
Without Maddy in the room, things became rather heated between the humans and Llyr, with Sam’s dad absolutely refusing to budge on his stance despite how ridiculous he was being. Tiacor warned Miss W to calm down as her agitation was beginning to aggravate her young, and everyone agreed to sit down rather than stand and shout.
Lucas sat between Levi and Sam’s parents, for despite Maddy being the source of the argument and Levi being her father, Lucas had a better chance of reasoning with Llyr. Or, at the very least, not get murdered by him. That would upset both Sam and Miss W.
The final push to end the argument abruptly came from an unlikely source. Robbie walked through the door with his arms full of bags and grocery boxes, not all of which were labelled in English. The guy had gone on an international shopping trip.
“Hey,” he said, until the vibe of the room hit him with all the finesse of a Mack truck, and he drew to a halt in front of Llyr’s chair. “What’s going on?” His tone was cautious.
“Llyr doesn’t want Maddy to stay here in case she hurts Miss W,” Lucas said, bringing the situation down to its bare bones.
“No problem. Tiacor is always with Miss W,” Larry said, following Robbie in with bags of his own. “And with our speed, the kid won’t do squat that we can’t intercept.” He lifted his gaze to the true gryps healer standing in the walkway between the sofa and the kitchen island behind Miss W. “And why didn’t you say that?”
“Ivy is my charge,” Tiacor answered, standing her ground. “Not what happens to others in this household.”
Larry nudged Robbie to keep going and followed him into the kitchen. “You gotta get with the program, girl,” he growled, placing the bags on the island so he could do a slow helicopter-style circle with one finger while death-staring at Tiacor. “This whole apartment is part of the assignment. Every person staying here is important to the health and well-being of everyone else. You can’t do your job if you don’t see that, and I can’t believe I’m the one telling you. You’re the healer.”
Tiacor tensed, almost as if she were about to argue, but then she relaxed and nodded in agreement with the reprimand.
Robbie opened Voila and began putting all manner of grocery items in it, many of which Lucas didn’t recognise. Even the cold and frozen went in, though Lucas didn’t draw any attention to that fact.
As he worked, Larry went back outside and brought in more bags.
“Feeding an army?” Levi asked as he and Lucas both got up to help.
Lucas grabbed his brother by the shoulder and shoved him back into his seat. “Get off your busted foot, you moron,” he said and went down the gap between Sam’s parents and the coffee table.
“Always,” Robbie laughed at Levi’s comment while Lucas waited for Larry to come through with his next load before heading into the hallway outside. “I normally do this through the night, but I was kinda busy last night with Charlie.” He waggled his eyes. “If you get my drift.”
“Really?!” Levi groused while Lucas laughed at his indignation. “You have to talk about our sister like that?”
“You know he loves her, so shut up,” Lucas snarked, passing through the alcove and out the front door. It was a good thing he’d offered – there were like fifty more bags out there. Robbie must have remembered Levi and Maddy were in the apartment and came through the front door carrying only what was humanly possible. He leaned back into the apartment. “Ummm…Llyr, you wanna come help with all of this? I don’t think he left anything in any of the shops.”
Lucas fully expected Llyr to ignore the request and was mildly surprised when he appeared a few seconds later to help.
“I never said I didn’t want the child staying with us,” Llyr said, sliding several bags onto his arms and gathering more handles in his hands. “I said I wouldn’t be responsible for my actions should the child accidentally harm Ivy or worse. And if you think I’m alone in that mindset, you haven’t looked in on Sam lately. He’s terrified for his mother’s well-being.”
“I did see that at the party yesterday,” Lucas admitted, having been caught by surprise at Sam’s explosion at Jonathan.
Between the two of them, they grabbed over half of the remaining bags before Llyr spoke again. “So long as Ivy is protected, I genuinely have no problem with it.”
Which meant they’d been arguing for well over an hour for nothing. Dammit, Tiacor.
Robbie then unpacked some things into the fridge and the pantry, but those were items that the household would be grabbing out for themselves as snacks—things like ice cream and potato chips.
Once all the groceries were inside, Lucas went back into the alcove. He grabbed the larger clothes bags that held two sets of summer clothes, two sets of winter clothes, a summer and a winter pair of pyjamas and underwear, all in Levi’s size (Lucas knew the sizing, for despite being taller, Levi was a size smaller than Lucas and always had been).
He brought it back into the room and tossed it on the sofa beside his brother, where he’d been sitting.
Levi began pulling it out, quickly realising it was all for him. “What the hell is all this?” he demanded.
“I’ve seen what you look like when you stagger in after an emergency call-out. If it comes down to it, you can crash here until you can see through both eyes. I’m not putting Maddy in a car with you when you’re wrecked like that. I’ll arrest your sorry ass first.”
“You’re not paying for all of this…”
“For God’s sake, Levi. Will you just say ‘thank you’ and go and get changed?”
“This is crap,” Levi snapped instead.
“You talk like that in front of your little girl?” Miss W asked, arching her eyebrow reprimandingly.
Levi’s eyes dropped to the coffee table. “No, ma’am.”
“Good. Then go and get changed, and let Lucas wash the rest.” Her parental gaze then skewered Lucas next. “You were going to wash all those new clothes for them, weren’t you?”
Lucas wasn’t dumb enough to look at Robbie, who had been doing the laundry for everyone since … forever. “Yes, ma’am.”
Ivy smirked. “Good answer.” She clambered awkwardly to her feet, and Llyr was right there to help her. “I’m thinking I might go out for a bit this afternoon. Head into the office and see what’s been going on while I’ve been on leave.”
“Ivy, it’s Sunday,” Llyr argued.
“And if you think that matters to Ben Pomerac, it’s been too long since you’ve interacted with him, boo. Come on. You two got along like a house on fire before.”
“We were passionate about the cause,” Llyr agreed, letting her move ahead of him down the hallway towards their room.
“Would you like me to throw you together a picnic lunch to take with you?” Robbie called after them.
“Yes, please!” Miss W called back.
“Wow,” Levi said after they were gone, and Robbie had turned his back on them to busy himself in the kitchen, over-enunciating the syllable.
Lucas smirked at his brother. “I know, right? Reminds you of a certain matriarch in our family, doesn’t it?”
“That woman would eat Mom for breakfast.”
“I dare you to tell either of them that.”
“Hell no. I like breathing.” Levi then looked at the clothes. “I do appreciate this, Luk—as. But are you sure I can’t…?”
“Positive. I’m saving hundreds of dollars every week by living here rent and board free.”
“Wait, you don’t even pay for food or utilities or anything?”
Lucas shook his head. “I told you Llyr…”
“Yeah, but that’s Llyr. Robbie just paid a fortune for food…”
“And if you can get him to accept my money, you’re better than me. He’s even managed to put a block on money transfers from any of us after Boyd and I tried to sneakily put it into his account. He’s told us flat, ‘When you have even close to the same amount of money in your account that I do, then you can start paying your way. Not before’.”
“But he’s got millions in his account!”
“Yes, I do,” Robbie said cheerily from the kitchen, still putting together the picnic lunch as fast as humanly possible. “And if I wanna feed Lucas and anybody else in this place, it’s no one’s business but mine.”
“But you’re turning him into a kept man.”
Robbie’s scowl was instantaneous, with Lucas not far behind him. “Really?” Robbie growled. “That’s your read on this? That me sharing my good fortune with my best friends, who I happen to live with, is your idea of making your brother a kept man?” Robbie shook his head and made a negative buzzer noise. “No one is kept here, bozo, and I like cooking for everyone. The ingredients I use now are ridiculously expensive, and I’d never ask any of them to hand over that kind of money. This is my gift to them, and you aren’t taking that away from me.”
Lucas looked at his brother and arched a ‘tolja so’ eyebrow at him. “And I’m paying that gift forward with stuff you and Maddy need. So going back to what I said earlier, say, ‘thank you’ and go and get dressed before I kick your sorry tail down the hall.”
Levi climbed to his feet, hopping once to balance his weight on his medical boot. He then held his hand out to his brother. “Thanks, Lucas.”
Lucas took the hand and pulled him into a back-slapping embrace. “Anytime.”
“What clothes did you get Maddy?”
Lucas shrugged. “I’ve no idea. The shop assistant helped me out.”
“Good lord, do I even want to know how much they cleaned you out for?”
“Actually, she felt sorry for me since I was standing in the middle of the kid’s clothing section and wondering where the hell to start.” With an evil grin, he added, “Oh, I did buy something else for Maddy.”
Levi squinted one eye without saying a word, waiting for him to come clean.
“They had these cute little vet kits in the toy section. I bought her one of each.”
“Are you going to help me pay for her college degree in veterinary science?” Levi grumbled half-heartedly.
“If that’s what she wants out of life, absolutely. You’re a single dad trying to do it all on your own. It’s commendable but dumb. In fact, are you okay with me starting a college fund for her using the money I don’t spend here anymore?”
Levi huffed out a frustrated breath. “I don’t know, man. It seems … I don’t want you to think that’s…”
“You really don’t want to finish that sentence,” Lucas warned.
Levi snapped his mouth shut and breathed silently through his nose for a beat. “Well, I suppose a college fund … to be added to what I put away,” Levi insisted, determined to save some face in the matter.
Lucas knew ol’ bat ears in the kitchen would’ve heard every word, and whatever funds Maddy needed for her education would be paid for in full the day she signed up for the courses, regardless of whether the money was there or not. Charlie would probably want to pitch in as well when she found out, and Maverick had been riding Levi hard about letting him help pay for Maddy’s education, but somehow, in his brother’s eyes, it had seemed so wrong.
In this case, Lucas was simply forwarding money that should have been earmarked for something else. “Done,” he said before Levi could change his mind. He would need to check with the rest of the family to see if anyone else had the same idea but was doing it on the sly.
Their parents were at the top of that list, having put their oldest two through college. They hadn’t needed to with the rest since Maverick landed a full athletic scholarship, he and Levi had left school (ignoring the stint in rehab for his busted leg) and gone into emergency services, and Charlie went straight into Paul’s auto shop.
As such, Lucas was willing to bet that four-person nest egg was still sitting there, waiting for the grandkids to reach that age. It’d be weird if they all rocked up on day one of Maddy’s higher education, each with thousands of dollars to pay for the same courses.
Levi grabbed one of the summer sets of clothes and a pair of underwear and made his way around the sofa to the room he and Maddy had shared.
As soon as the door shut, Robbie stopped prepping the picnic lunch and realm-stepped away. Movement in the alcove said he hadn’t gone far. “What are you doing?” Lucas demanded, rounding the corner to see Robbie grabbing out fistfuls of clothing from the bags and dumping them on the floor. He stayed in the doorway to keep an eye out for Levi.
“Giving everything a quick clean,” Robbie answered without stopping. “Keep a lookout for me, will you?”
“Already am.” A couple of minutes later, his brother hobbled into the living room. “All good, bro?” he asked, more for Robbie than Levi.
“I’m still not overly comfortable with all this,” his older brother admitted.
Robbie swept all of the clothes he’d cleaned into Lucas’ arms and then realm-stepped away while he was still hidden from Levi’s sight. It took Lucas a hot minute to realise that, in doing so, the two brothers had been left alone for the first time since Levi and Maddy stayed over.
Thanks … this isn’t awkward at all, he thought to himself as Levi stared at the clothes in his arms. “Umm … this is pretty much all the clothes I got for Maddy…” he hedged, hoping like crap his brother would accept the gift without having another meltdown.
He braced himself for either when Levi hobbled around the sofas to reach him and pulled out a rainbow-striped dress with ruffles around the hem and on the thin shoulder straps. The torso was drawn in with a thick band of elastic. “I’m glad you told me the sales clerk helped you,” he said, grabbing a pair of underwear and breaking the tags off both with his teeth. “There’s no way you’d have picked this, and she’ll love it.”
“I bought shoes and slippers for her, too, in case you had to grab her from daycare or something and didn’t have time to go home.”
“Are you okay if I add you and whoever else you recommend to her pickup roster, in case I have to go straight in?"
"Sure," Lucas agreed, mad that he wasn't already ON that roster.
Levi nodded, still staring at the dress. "We’ll leave her shoes here,” he said, his emotions finally getting the better of him. “She can wear the pair she wore yesterday home.”
Lucas dumped the rest of the clothes on Llyr’s chair, gripped his brother’s shoulders and squeezed. “We’re family, man. If our positions were reversed, you’d do all this and more for me. It’s what family does.”
Levi nodded with a pinched smile that fought against the tears welling in his eyes, and then he bowed his head and rested it on his brother’s shoulder. Lucas hugged him close until he broke away with a silent sniff that was meant to appear like a sinus cleanse and headed down Llyr’s side of the apartment in search of his daughter.
“We’re all here for you, man,” Lucas whispered to his retreating back. "You don't have to do it alone."
