relevant info: I am 22, my husband is 22 and a navy veteran.
i gave my brother my old iphone 11 when i upgraded in 2022. i cant remember if i factory reset it or not.
Selena lives in Grant County, OR. My father lives in Walla Walla, WA. My parents got divorced in Oct 2023, and my mother and sister (9)came to live with my myself, my husband and our daughter in Hampton Roads, VA.
the 5 of us are currently driving back from va to wa.
My brother is trans. (FTM)
in summer 2023, my brother, Jaxon (16m) asked if he could go spend a school year with my moms (Liz, 40F) best friend at the time (Selena, 41m). He wanted to do this so he could work on Selena’s dad’s farm and save money for a car. My mom thought it would be good for him, so she signed a power of attorney agreement that expired when the school year was over (june 7, 2024), meaning at that time she relinquished guardianship back to my mother and father, and Jaxon would be driven back home to my parents.
During the school year, i received many middle of the night calls of him sobbing and saying he “couldn’t do this anymore.” he vented to me, sent me videos, and told me these things:

• she misgendered and deadnamed him constantly, forced him to dress femininely
  
• she didn’t pay him for the work he was doing on the farm (from 4 am until school (8AM), then after school (4pm) until 11pm, forcing him to stay up extra late (1-3AM) to complete homework.) i should also note that i have access to his bank account and i have not seen a single deposit for over a year.
  
• she screamed at him constantly, telling him he was a failure (his grades had started slipping from a Bs to a Cs), that he needed to suck it up and quit being a crybaby (he was exhausted and depressed because of poor sleep, being overworked, not being allowed to have friends)
  
• she constantly took away the only phone he had (his only line of communication to myself and my mother) whenever she felt like it. (usually just when she was pissed off)
  
• shoving him, destroying his art projects (he’s a clay sculptor), throwing away his homework if he left it on the table overnight, and much more.
  
• my mother and i both have recorded phone calls of Jaxon secretly calling us while she was screaming at him about something or other
  
• she forced him to detail her truck and he found coke and meth in the truck. he called me, telling me he thought he found drugs. i asked him to describe it to me, and it turned out to be a bag of meth and a bag of coke. i had him send me pictures, which i still have.
  

being across the country, my mother and i couldn’t do anything to help him get out of that situation. every time we offered to buy a plane ticket for him so come to VA, Selena would say “(he) needs to finish school” and my father was out of the country for work until May this year, so he couldn’t do anything either.
we did call the sheriff of grant county for a welfare check (multiple times) and they told us they couldn’t do anything unless there were visible marks or Jaxon’s life was in imminent danger. we called DHS/CPS (in december, when the problems started) and they told us they’d look into it. nothing ever came of that.
The day before school was officially over, Selena searched Jaxon’s backpack and found weed in it. (she had previously told him she didn’t care about weed because it’s legal in oregon) but she flew off the handle, screaming at him for HOURS. (he called me during her rant and some of the things i heard made my blood boil.
She then decided to STRIP SEARCH MY 16 YEAR OLD FTM BROTHER. this was his breaking point. he waited until about 2 AM, when he knew she was in bed, on June 7, then called one of his friends. they drove him back to my fathers house. (from john day OR to Walla Walla, WA.) when Jaxon told me he was with my dad, i relayed the info to Selena. She said “ok good”
about 2 hours after Jaxon had returned to my dad’s care, Selena texted me this:
“(Jaxon) has 24 hours to get (his) ass back here before i go to the police to charge (him) with minor in possession.”
i ignored her, not wanting to engage with her rage baiting. she sent more texts, all threatening to charge my brother (in Oregon) with a MIP (he doesn’t have drugs on his person currently, there is no video/photo evidence that the weed was even Jaxons, and he is back with his legal guardian in WA.)
when she got no response from myself or my mother other than “he’s with his dad”, she switched tactics. and texted me this:
“Please have (Jaxon) call me so i know he is safe”
i replied “ok” and relayed the info to my brother. he refuses to call her because she was horrible to him and he doesn’t want to be screamed at.
when he didn’t call her yesterday, she texted me, telling me she would call CPS on my father, the police, anything she could think of to try and scare me.
i texted her this yesterday at 8 AM after she tried calling me 10 times and texted me over 50 times with no reply.
“(Jaxon) is safe, he's with his parent (which trumps your power of attorney, which is over anyway. boo hoo.) thank god i don't have to pretend to like your snake ass anymore. go ahead and call cps, (Jaxon) has said (father) makes him feel safe, especially from you. so yeah!! go ahead, call CPS, and when they do nothing, go cry. sorry that you can't use my BROTHER for slave labor anymore, guess you'll have to actually HIRE someone at the farm now (boo hoo again). this is your official notice that any further contact with (father), my mother, or (Jaxon) will be documented for a harassment case and restraining order. have a fun life doing meth and being crazy, but don't involve us in it anymore. toodalooo!!!”
she then began texting my mom, threatening me with CPS for videos of me smoking weed (that i sent him on snapchat) and me talking about my struggle with cocaine addiction. (i’ve been clean since Halloween 2020). i haven’t replied to anything, simply screenshotting the messages and call logs, adding them to a folder to turn into police once we get to washington. harassment charges and restraining order.
after no replies, she once again started BOMBARDING my mother with texts. i’m copy/pasting some texts but changing names. my mother also didn’t respond, simply screenshotted and sent the pics to me for the folder.
“If she (referring to me) wants to continue to run her fat mouth....I have no issues releasing the videos I have to the police. Videos that she has no idea I have....from (Jaxon's) phone! I have 2 notebooks full of writing from (Jaxon) and countless screenshots as well as....this is the best part....the entire storage of (his) iPhone. Backups from every social media platform (he) has!!!”
(i know for a fact the backups off the iphone are bullshit bc he’s part of my iphone family and i would be notified if she tried to download anything from the cloud onto an unrecognized device. not to mention that she doesn’t have the icloud password. but that is neither here nor there.)
“"I want you to get the message across to (father) that I'm not playing. (Jaxon) needs to contact me....NOT (father) ....so that I know (Jaxon) is.... SAFE Mentally Stable /not suicidal Not on drugs I'm actually amazed that you and (father) think having her contact me after I have been the one caring for her is to much to ask. It screams dishonesty and feels like you guys are hiding something. There is no reason whatsoever (he) can't speak to me on the phone! If (he) is mad...to bad. If (he) is crying and claiming (he) don't want to talk to me for whatever reason.. oh fucking well. (Jaxon) has always been safe in my presence and in my care so I know for a fact (he) can not claim otherwise.”
“So again armed with enough shit to not only have everyone facing a bunch of charges, but to be garunteed that cps will be knocking at your door in Virginia as well...you might want to have (him) give me a call so this will end before it really truly begins.”
“I'm headed to the police station now. Done playing games. Couch Lusco is also willing to testify in my favor. As is two other teachers that (he) has made claims of abuse to.”
at this point i called my brother, and asked him to just text Selena to get her off my moms back.
this is their entire conversation:
J: I'm safe, mentally stable, not on drugs, and looking to further educate myself over the summer as well as apply for a job or two to pay my way.
S: Call me. Or I'm going to the cops with all the videos. Simple. You don't think I don't know your sister cant access your fb page
J: My sister has access to literally everything on that phone because of the cloud backup. She could wipe it all clean with the press of a button, not to mention a cop isn't gonna take me in for an mip of a cigarette or a blunt. It's not that deep.
(he is referring to the iphone Selena supposedly “backed up”)
Jaxon sent mom the screenshot of their convo, and she sent it to Selena. the following convo ensued:
S: Lmao that was (kyber) on (Jaxon’s) account! IM NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL I KNOW THAT CHILD IS SAFE (Liz)!!
L: No it was not. I got those DIRECTLY from Jaxon. (mom didn’t reply to any texts after this)
S: I'm going to make everyone lives a giant fucking mess until (he) contacts me....PERIOD Pretty fucking simple. I'm going to take all the information (he) has given me that supports my reasons to be concerned and let the authorities do the rest.
S: Whats funny in all of this is that there is no reason (Jaxon) can't contact me. What am I going to do? Hurt (him) through a phone? Don't be dumb (Liz). Ypu are the only level headed person enough to see the bullshit games this kid will play as well as a good enough mom to understand why I am worried.
S: And (Jaxon) is right...they arnt going to take (him) for an MIP....but they ARE going to investigate the videos further I garuntee that! (He) is a minor and I promise you that they won't take any of it lightly!!!
S: You need to understand that (Jaxon) has already told me what (kyber) does. I know that wasn't (Jaxon) on Facebook because (he) wasn't caught with a fuckkng blunt.

i’m just wondering what to do in this situation? she is threatening to call CPS, the cops, whatever she can do to try and intimidate me, mother, and father.

Session 2 "Futures Past" (June 7th, 2024)
New York: Wednesday, August 9th, 1995
05:00am - 2:30pm, EST
Following the first day of investigation, Agent MAIN is the first to wake. An early-riser after years in the military, he leaves a note for Marsha. The two will meet again, of course. Arriving at work, he gets chatting to some Navy mechanics about the little weird diagram on the napkin. About the best answer he gets (after a successful check), is that one of them remembers seeing something like a clockwork giraffe as an attraction in South America. Studying it on that basis, MAIN concludes it's an artist's attempt at design because he can't see a way for this to work or even what it might really be for. He also checks in with USN and asks a friend to track down some vintage US Arms gear (he noted the serial numbers on the radio and dud-grenade). Not being from the same branch of service (and a failed check), it will take somewhere between 24-48 hours. (I decided US Armed Forces would probably be better at digitizing records, he'll get something either way).
MAVERICK isn't far behind MAIN, starting his day as usual being one of the first into the FBI NYC Field Office. As far as the FBI is concerned, he's on the Wright case now it's in their jurisdiction. Unprepared to wait for the prints to be matched (failed check on Bureaucracy), he instead does it himself (successful Forensics check). Abigail was never arrested, but her father handed in a hairbrush she kept at his and his wife's home. The prints match. It took MAVERICK a little time (it was a close pass), because part of a second, unidentified print obscured one of Abigail's, He can discount himself and the team, and likely anyone in law enforcement as he assumed they would've gone gloved.
Next, he follows up on Art Life and makes a call. He gets on the phone with Cynthia LeChance and in the course of their conversation is able to intuit there's something she's unsure or hesitant about. Being the honest-to-goodness, earnest Agent Cooper type, MAVERICK is able to organise a lunch meeting with her as part of follow up. He doesn't have many questions, he assures Cynthia and it'll be on the FBI's dime. She agrees to meet at 12pm.
(It's worth mentioning I ruled there was no reason MARCUS (Case Officer, M-Cell) or the Agents themselves wouldn't have or be able to obtain pagers they could use to stay in contact. Definitely an incidental expense as far as I am concerned.)
MILHOUSE, after his morning run to campus, follows up on his research from the previous day. He identifies the Ars Goetia and learns there's an 18th century copy in the special collections. Luckily for him, he's able to get about an hour with the book. The book contains the names of some 72 demons, their associated heraldry and symbols which they must "pay allegiance to." The book also contains the supposed means of summoning said entities, but MILHOUSE's time is over before he can get much further into it.
He's the first to arrive at the apartment, late morning/early afternoon (roughly around MAVERICK's planned lunch interview). At the coffeeshop, he's treated to a free beverage by Marsha, who thanks him for bringing his friend in the other day. Sadly, by the time MAIN arrives, her shift is over.
MIRANDA lies awake, watching the minutes tick by until about five minutes before she'd usually be walking into the Village Voice's office before making a call. She's really sorry, but she'll have to take a personal day, but does her best to reassure her editor she's still on for the grill party on Saturday. Of more immediate concern is the missing demonic symbol she is unable to locate. The polaroid she snapped is still in her possession, but she can find no trace of the symbol drawn on its piece of brown wrapping paper anywhere in her apartment. Nor can she find any evidence her home was broken into (she has the right skills to determine that for...reasons).
She makes a quick call to her criminal contact, Hugo. It's been less than 24 hours, but she wants to just follow up to perhaps create a sense of urgency. Hugo says he might have a couple of people on the hook, but it would help if he had more to work with than just "weird and esoteric." MIRANDA will be in touch. Before heading to Kips Bay, she decides to follow up on trying to locate the cab and its driver she photographed the other day; the driver looking down the barrel of the camera at her.
It takes her most of the morning, but MIRANDA locates the garage and office. Mostly making calls asking about a cab outside Abigail's address the previous day. She knows the time, more or less. She finds a schlubby office manager who stonewalls her until money changes hands. MIRANDA gets a name and the cabbie's usual pick up and route. Guy likes to work around the Port Authority Terminal most days, she can probably find him there. She doesn't want to go alone and makes her way to the Macallistar where she expects to find the others.
A night owl and late to wake by nature, MALATESTA hits snooze on his alarm maybe only twice today. Packing up the weird crystal in a ziplock bag stowed in his backpack, he takes himself to the Mercury Gallery. He's got an angle he wants to try and it works, if not quite in the way he perhaps expected.
The gallery owner, Santiago, isn't sure what to make of the skater-grunge kid who rolls into his gallery, but he's not exactly out of place and to be truthful, his story is almost too outlandish not to be true. Through a combination of good roleplay and an opposed check, MALATESTA explains a "dude he's working for" heard about Abigail's exhibition and wanted to know if there were any paintings of hers left unsold.
As it turns out, there are. Santiago explains they're not the cream of the crop: "Most of the others were more abstract and, I would say, exemplary. She did well, especially for an artist in New York. The one or two I have left are a bit more...prosaic."
At about this time, MAVERICK makes his meeting with Cynthia. He's not hard to miss; there is no reality in which he was not a Federal Agent and Cynthia easily marks him across the street. She takes him to a small Italian bistro where she usually has lunch and begins talking. This is what MAVERICK is good at; getting people to talk. Everyone wants to, after all; it's about letting them and knowing where to push and where not.
Cynthia explains how weird the Macallistar has been for her to manage. The building has never been filled to capacity as far she can recall and those units which were occupied never remained so for very long.
MAVERICK: "Did you know Abigail?"
Cynthia: "Not really. I met her once or twice. Went with her and her dad to view the apartment." She smiles. "He was worried about her having a ground floor unit in the city, but it was the one she wanted. Never any complaints from her or from other tenants about her. Then...the rent stopped."
MAVERICK: "Yeah, we saw that."
Cynthia: "No. You don't understand. The rent stopped. No one in the building has been paying rent since March this year."
MAVERICK: "What does that mean?"
Cynthia is nervous. MAVERICK picks up she's worried she might be in trouble and he reassures her she isn't. Far from it, in fact.
Across town, MALATESTA is shown one of Abigail's unsold paintings. Santiago unveils it; a landscape, the frame longer than it is tall. A park, with a city-skyline in the background. In the centre, a statue. There are people. Some gathered in a crowd, others walking in various directions. MALATESTA feels uneasy. Then he sees them: five figures gathered in the shadows of the statue around a sixth, seated on a bench. Merely brushstrokes, details and faces indistinct. One may be a woman. Another appears to be holding a skateboard.
Santiago, distant as MALATESTA gave the painting his full attention, becomes clear again.
"See what I mean? Like something you'd see in a doctor's office."
"Yeah." MALATESTA passes a SAN check, but still takes one.
He was there just yesterday.
This was exhibited in November of last year (1994).
He tries and fails to argue Santiago down on the price and is very unaware that the gallery owner is hitting on him. Wrapping the painting, MALATESTA asks if Santiago can check on where some of the other paintings might have ended up or ask around about Abigail in general. Since it means they will meet again, Santiago is all too happy to oblige and hands MALATESTA a business card, writing his own number on the back.
MALATESTA: "Cool, man. I'll be in touch with the deets."
Santiago: "Sure...the deets." (I think it pained him to say that word)
Before leaving, he lets go something Abigail mentioned during the exhibition. While unable to recall the name, he thinks she said she got her inspiration from a book of some sort. He thinks the name might have been something French.
Across their lunch table, Cynthia explains she thinks Art Life upper management are content to wait for eviction notices to be served to the remaining tenants.
Cynthia: "I think even if everyone paid what they owe and next month's, management wouldn't change their mind."
MAVERICK: "Why?"
Cynthia: "I think they want to renovate the building. Getting everyone out lets them do that. Spruce it up, hike the rent...I lie awake at night wondering if that's legal. I've never evicted a whole building."
MAVERICK: "One of my colleagues bumped into one of Abigail's neighbours. Mr. Post, Lewis Post I think. Same story with him?"
Cynthia: "Yeah, same as the rest. More or less."
MAVERICK: "More or less?"
Cynthia: "He called me the end of March this year, said he'd be late on the rent, but not to worry and then he started asking me about the building."
MAVERICK: "And you did?"
Cynthia: "Yeah, but I wish I hadn't."
She names a few books she picked up, as Lewis wanted more than just what Art Life had on the Macallistar. MAVERICK wonders why, but she explains Lewis was nice and she was curious herself.
"It's a weird building. Always made me feel...off, being there. I can't remember the last time I went in person."
MAVERICK: "What did you learn? I have the architect's name. Daribondi."
Cynthia: "Asa. Asa Daribondi. The Macallistar was built in 1921. He designed it. He...there was a fire at his office on Mott Street in 1950 and he disappeared. He...he was a murderer, Agent Delapore. They found a child's body on the premises. After that, I stopped looking into it."
There's a long silence. The MAVERICK asks her for keys to the unoccupied apartments. He tells her a story about how when he started out in the Bureau, he was involved in a missing person's case. A little girl and in the end, they found her hiding in her treehouse.
Cynthia: "You think Abigail's still in the building? In one of the empty units?"
MAVERICK: "I don't know, but I can't discount it. I don't think she was in a normative state of mind before she disappeared."
Cynthia considers things. The plates are cleared and the coffee served.
Cynthia reaches into her handbag and removes something. "If management don't care about the building, I don't see why I should either." She hands him a master key. "Don't lose this and borrow it for...give it back to me when you're done."
True to his word, MAVERICK pays the bill.
"I hope you find her, her find something to maybe help. She was nice."
MAVERICK and Cynthia say their goodbyes and he heads to Kips Bay.
In the interim, MIRANDA has joined MILHOUSE and MAIN in the coffeeshop, with MALATESTA arriving with weird painting in tow not long before MAVERICK's arrival.
Unable to contain his excitement, MALATESTA nearly unveils the painting right then and there.
MALATESTA: "You won't believe-"
MIRANDA: "Let's not talk about this here."
MALATESTA: "No, I know, but-"
Coffeeshop patrons are giving the table weird looks.
MIRANDA: "Let's not talk about this here."
MALATESTA: "I was jus-"
MIRANDA: "Let's not talk about this here."
Some of the people are frowning, scowling almost.
MILHOUSE (to the other patrons): "Sorry. Sorry."
MAVERICK arrives not long after and the team reconvenes in the apartment to share what they've learned and determine any plans.
Unable to contain himself, MALATESTA reveals the painting. Everyone except MAIN passes the SAN check for the realisation of what it depicts. MAIN takes 4 SAN loss and does not project. Closing in on his breaking point, MAIN is confused and unable to fully process what's going on and throws himself into another search of the apartment.
MIRANDA is concerned about further exposure to the para-natural and wonders if there is anything they can do to take care. All they can do is be cautious.
MAVERICK wants to make a sweep of the empty apartments in the building. MILHOUSE agrees to partner up with him on that front after informing the group of the Ars Goetia. MIRANDA makes a phone call using a booth in the street to reach Hugo and give him the name.
MAVERICK & MILHOUSE examine the results of their experiment about the weird fridge. It looks like whatever is happening in the apartment, it's not just the fridge. (The book could not in anyway have given me anything to account for that, so I just ran with it. Felt appropriate). MAVERICK takes no damage from his SAN check despite failing. He expected to find it that way. MILHOUSE is also fine.
I'm sure that means nothing...
MALATESTA and MIRANDA stay with MAIN in Abigail's apartment to conduct a further search. The three who remain received a +20% bonus to their search rolls and all pass as MAVERICK & MILHOUSE leave to check the building (They can make rolls in the apartment on their return).
They exit the apartment at 2:30pm.
Within, MALATESTA, MAIN & MAVERICK find the following:
A rent receipt with Abigail's name, undated and signature unreadable.
A page of typed script which appears to be a play Abigail was writing. Several names are mentioned: Michelle, Mark & Thomas. Michelle is the first name of one of Abigail's neighbours, right?
A plane ticket in the name of Michael Witwer from Las Vegas to Boston, dated June 6th, 2015.

Post-Mortem
Five players going in different directions was a little tough to juggle, but they were happy with the pace of play and I made sure everyone had something to do.
I knew we weren't going to get through an entire in-game day about an hour in and I should've taken a bit more time to line up what everyone wanted to do at the end of the previous session, but everyone still had fun. Lea put it well: it feels like there's a dam with information gathering against it and it's going to burst.
With four out of the five players having children, I took a short aside during MAVERICK's rp with Cynthia to do a table check. I know the players and they know me and I handled it in the right way as far as they were concerned.
Two sessions in and MAIN is the first character to close on his BP, being 3 or 4 (one bad roll) away from his first disorder. I appreciate this and his reasons for not projecting make sense, in-character. We'll see how that pans out.
In terms as to what's changed compared to the book, I saw no real reason not to give MAVERICK more info on the architect. Rewarding good roleplay is something I enjoy doing and as far as I'm concerned, he did everything he needed to in-character to get what he got. I also saw no reason why the phone call between Cynthia and Lewis Post could not have conceivably happened. So far, all he has are book titles and info about Daribondi's misdeeds and little else. Getting more will require time investment and skill checks where appropriate.

Hello, I'm writing in hopes of helping my friend whom I'll call "K." She is a disabled 36F and lifelong medical abuse and neglect victim of her caregiver mother with (medically documented) Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. K is very frail and has been assessed in and out of adult failure to thrive (AFTT) four times in the last few years and has a slew of chronic illnesses including genetic (made worse by the mother for decades).

K's mother died withholding her medical, legal, & financial records in mid-2023. This has continued to make getting most resources all but impossible (as necessary records are 7+ years old and no longer available from any medical institutions).

The two remaining family members continue to withhold Ki's records (even utility bills and notices pertinent to her residence and records from she and her mother's business). The family does not want K to get SSDI/SSI and asserts (utilizing family friends to harass Ki online as their method of conveying information) that Ki needs to get a job and give up on wanting SSDI especially as a DAC (disabled adult child) (in which she'd receive is a higher monthly amount based on her parents' income and work history rather than hers).
Both remaining family members are vehemently against K getting any type of resources. They say Ki doesn't deserve to collect a monthly check based on her parents' hard work simply because "someone ran a red light at the wrong time" when K was 19 (inflicting a traumatic brain injury, spinal damage, migraines, sensory processing disorders, tinnitus, and more).
This toxic family dynamic has existed since K's disabling injury where she been prevented from getting resources due to the family withholding information and making false reports by calling DHHS and the SSA to ruin her attempts. K's mother kept her as a cash cow per her two personal injury settlements while frequently starving her and then she simply abandoned K when her settlement money ran out. There was no continuation of care put in place.
K's therapist suggested asking Adult Protective Services for help and Ki agreed despite her last APS agent behaving in a (documented) inappropriate way and then leaving APS altogether.
"JR" became K's APS Specialist on May 6, 2024. On May 7, 2024; an account with the relatively unique last name of JR showed up on her OnlyFans account. She initially thought it was a weird coincidence.
On May 21st, K asked JR via texts (that I've seen) if the account was his and he acknowledged it was. JR "explained" to Ki that part of his job is looking at a client's social media.
K countered that to look through her OnlyFans, which is not a public website, JR had to enter a credit card as part of the signup process due to the adult content. JR also had to subscribe to her specifically to even show up as a "subscriber" on her end.
(Please bear with me as I am not an OnlyFans user and am writing this based on screenshots and what Ki told me about how the platform operates.) K has also taken live video recordings to demonstrate his subscription and that the screenshots are not altered.
In the text exchange, JR asserts he "definitely didn't subscribe (to her OnlyFans), that's for sure." Then JR ended his client relationship with her two hours later.
In addition to lying about subscribing to her OnlyFans, JR has continued to stay subscribed. K has been documenting that JR logs in about every other day; sometimes during weekday work hours. At the time of this post, JR is still currently subscribed to K's OnlyFans.
JR recently messaged K through the platform in a mocking way. Ki has resisted blocking JR thus far to continue to document all that he is doing so that she might be taken seriously in the future.
K's therapist has been unable to find to whom to report JR. They called the APS hotline and were given the phone number to the APS Ombudsman's. JR apparently has a "big" supervisory role.
K is terrified that JR ruined her reputation via however he wrote his reports about her. She feels he probably sabotaged her ability to secure future APS help.
Of note: K's first/last APS agent was documented as behaving "inappropriately." K is terrified to report JR because it will give her a history of looking like she's faking being a victim when 2/2 past APS agents behaved inappropriately to her.
K's mental health has been profoundly affected by this and she is still surviving with major unmet basic needs.
Has JR behaved illegally or just immorally? Either way, what is the proper course of action in this scenario? Is this now harassment, too, since he's taunting her at her place of employment?
I realize that due to the nature of this post, it may sound fabricated. Please note that everything I've included is based on objective observation. This is not a shitpost. Thank you for any suggestions or advice.

I just started watching the show and every time Sammy is so excited to see Emily and reacts the way he does, it really makes me wonder if Jack ever twigged that she might actually be Amanda, especially when fake Amanda shows up and he doesn't trust her as his alleged original owner. Maybe it's a reveal later on, it just makes me wonder if it ever crosses his mind or he's completely oblivious to it and just thinks it's nice his dog has taken to a supposed stranger and seems to keep match making them. I figure at some point fake Amanda would expose herself accidentally and that would be it, but surely an animals instincts would make you question a person.

Every week I get paid rent from tenants without having to do any of the work involved with traditional property/tenant management. It all happens through a company called RealT, who I have invested through for three years now. I started out with just $500 just for testing and have since grown my investment both through dollar-cost-averaging as well as the investments growing. They are definitely my go-to place for investing when the opportunity arises. I make 11.1% off my "property" which are essentially small pieces of many different houses/apartments, that are legally in my name. The return on my combined investments now sits at 18.7% of the amounts I have invested. The difference between the 18.7% and 11.1% is the result of the value of the properties growing. This can obviously also work against the investor, shall the underlying property fall in value. Another thing to take intoc consideration is the fact that your weekly rent payments rely on the properties being rented out. They are the majority of the time, and the tenant management in my experience has been amazing with only slight periods of time between tenants, when there has been a switch.
Because the fractional properties are legally in your name, the investment is off limits to some people. Namely non-accredited US investors but available to practically everyone else.
About RealT
RealT is a company that uses the technology to fractionalize properties and invites anyone to invest in these properties. It is still possible to invest without the know-how, especially with their "Walletless" feature but the possibilities and features you get with having your own wallet is definitely worth it in my opinion. If you want to know more about them i suggest visiting their website and other social media channels. It definitely took some time for me to trust them, but they have certainly gained my trust in the past 3 years of investing with them.
They have a rather large team behind them and they also do weekly community calls (both in English and French) where the investoviewer can learn about them and the developments, both in terms of properties and technology.
How Buying Works
There are essentially two ways to buy; on the RealT official marketplace or on the "YAM", where you can buy and sell between other private individuals.
On the official marketplace you can pay with either credit card or by invoice. The transactions throughout the entire ecosystem takes place through the Gnosis Chain, which is a chain that practically eliminates all of the usually very high fees. You can buy and sell Gnosis (or xDAI, which is the primary currency on this chain) on many of the major exchanges. When you buy property here it will either get sent to your wallet or to your account, if you have chosen the "walletless" feature. Again, i highly suggest going with an actual wallet for reasons discussed later. These properties will pay out your portion of the rent collected every week. The rents are still collected by the company on a monthly basis, but distributed to the investor weekly.
The second place is on the YAM. Before, there used to be an unofficial official marketplace for third parties to buy and sell tokens, but RealT has since developed their own place for investors to do this. I'm very happy about this, as there were alot of "fake" tokens beforehand but that issue has been addressed with this. These transactions occur using your wallet and the tokens within. This is one of the reasons i prefer using a wallet. There are no fees on the YAM expect the minuscule fees which is typically 0.1 cent or less so 0.0001$< per transaction. They are typically priced higher here than on the official marketplace because the demand is larger than the supply. Because of this, a lot of properties also sell out quickly when they are sold on the official marketplace.
When buying through third parties, you either have to already have bought some of the property you want to buy, or be whitelisted through their process on the website. This is due to each property being limited to x amount of investors due to U.S. regulation and laws.
How Selling Works
You can either sell your tokens back to RealT at purchase price minus some small fees (2%). This is limited to $2000 per week. I have used this once myself and can confirm it works. You will be paid via xDAI on the Gnosis Chain, which you can sell to any of the major exchanges.
You can also used the aforementioned YAM to sell your tokens. Like I said, here you can often get more than purchase price for them, at least if they yield +10% which is seen quite often, because they sell out so quickly. You will also here get paid via the Gnosis Chain.
Borrowing Using Your Tokens as Collateral
You can use your already purchased properties on the RMM to borrow xDAI or USDC (the two go-to currencies both fixed at $1). You will still get paid rent when using the properties as collateral. Most properties have a LTV (Loan-to-value) of 60%, meaning you can borrow 60% of the collateral property's value. So if you have $100 deposted in properties on the RMM, you can then borrow $60. You can in theory do with the borrowed money as you want, but I certainly recommend keeping it in the RealT ecosystem and reinvesting into other properties, either on the marketplace or YAM.
If you fail the make the repayments on the loan and the liquidation threshold is "broken", your collateral will get liquidated and you penalized 10% of the borrowed amount. I have never failed to make the payments so I don't know how this works in practice, but that's the idea of it.
The interest rate varies and is quite high at the moment. The variable rate is dependent on how much "liquidity" there is, i.e. how much xDAI or USDC there is deposited and borrowed. You can also make money through lending this way, where you can deposit your xDAI or USDC and make money through the interest collected. Currently, the borrow APY is 15%, which is unusually high, and the loan APY is 12%, which is the money you'd make by depositing. However, it can never go above 27.5% when the utilization rate (the amount borrowed compared to how much currency is deposited) is 100%.
Appreciation and reevaluations
RealT attempts to reevaluate each property annually to give an accurate indication of its value. This is not included in the estimated returns and can be seen as an "additional bonus". Typically the rents are adjusted when the underlying value increases, but RealT has made it quite clear that would rather keep a tenant happy and a property rented for a long time rather than kick them out and increasing the rent, which would cause a period where no rent is collected. When the property value goes up, so does your investment. This can, like I mentioned in the beginning, also effect your investment negatively, shall the property fall in value.
In the past three years I have made a 57.56% return. I don't expect this result to be replicated in the next three years but I certainly hope it does.
I am not a part of the RealT team in any way, shape or form but I am a very happy and satisfied customer.
If you plan on investment, I suggest joining their community channel or Discord to get notified of when new properties release. There is a window between the announcement and when the sale goes live, so you can decide if you want to buy. Good properties (+10%) sell out very quickly so if you plan to purchase, you have to be ready when they go on sale.

A lot of language learners on the Japanese subreddit are buying books off of Japanese amazon. That's fine, not illegal, and I do it too, they ship to the USA.
But they won't sell you kindle books unless you are in Japan. So what people do is, set up some fake billing address in Japan to trick amazon into selling these things. They pick the address of a hotel, or just some random address somewhere.
This strikes me as illegal, and for the record I don't do this (I read paperback books anyway), but would like some info on this.
The reason I want some info (besides being curious) is that people keep advising other people to do this spoofing trick, and I'd kinda like to tell people if what they are advising is not legal.

Included in notable bootlegs such as Self-titled MP3 Collection released 2010. ~Fake demo debunked by (Friend of Matt Pelissier) and SpaceyRaygun (The track's original source).

Sister to Sleep - One of the earliest songs written for Revenge, revealed in a 2003 interview as conceptualized for The Freddy vs. Jason Soundtrack before licensing fell through. It was re-conceptualized around The Sandman series of comics, where sleep is anthropomorphized as the titular Sandman, and his sister as Death. In its released form, the lyrics explore sleep as an analogy for death and themes of insomnia and institutionalization. Ultimately, the track was cut from release by producer Howard Benson. Two live recordings (1) (2) of this song have circulated the fandom for a number of years, with one found more recently all from the same show played in NYC's the Knitting Factory on 6/26/2003. On 10/17/2022, it was played once more in Inglewood during the RETURN Tour, albeit slightly different lyrics. Later, Frank spoke on a 2023 interview about using live footage for practice, likely explaining the difference in lyrics. In 2013 the band had stated in an interview potentially none of the members still possessed a copy of Sister to Sleep's demo recording (A claim still supported by Frank in a 2022 interview) except possibly for a soundcheck library recording Mikey was given from the Knitting Factory show. With renewed interest in the song, Matt Pelissier was asked via Twitter about the track. ^{If community sources \}1]) ^\2]) ^{are to be believed, a Twitter user "Martin" asked Gerard the whereabouts and existing number of these demos, Gerard would share that they lost the only existing copy moving from coast to coast a number of years ago. The Paper Kingdom - Proceeding DD's touring cycle, the My Chemical Romance began work on their 5th studio record before scrapping the album due to burnout, depression and unhealthy habits. (1) (2) Some of this material was likely posted by a user named Excalibur and sold for $10k+ on the leaked music website Leaked.cx in late September 2022. Snippets of these tracks with added auditory watermarks were provided by the leaker for legitimacy from tracks with the filenames "Dark Cloud", "Witch" and "Wake Up!". However, these clips were taken down by Warner both on leaked.cx and on other sites' reposts, likely validating the leak's legitimacy. One track recognized by Warner's automatic content ID system was entitled "Paper Swords" by My Chemical Romance.

The Foundations of Decay Sessions - According to comments by Excalibur made under leaked.cxs TPK leak, they also possessed demo sessions for the My Chemical Romance's 2022 release The Foundations of Decay. I (19F) have been close with my adoptive father (45M), who I call an uncle despite not being biologically related, ever since I was a baby. My biological father was never really in my life for numerous reasons, but chiefly, because he and my mom split before I was born and he only got visitation. Which he rarely made use of. I grew close with my adoptive father, who I'll call Joel (fake name), in the absence of my father and the fact that he stepped up to be in my life. We used to spend all of the time together, and even went on a long trip abroad together. He's also the adoptive father of my little brother, who I'll call Caleb(12M), even though he isn't as relevant to this particular story. Now comes the hangup that's made our relationship complicated:
I'm a transgender woman. I've been out for about two years, and I tend to make no secret of my identity. I thought that Joel would be accepting of it, as before I was transgender, I was openly pansexual and had a boyfriend- which he was okay with. Yet, when I came out to him as transgender, he got really uncomfortable and said 'I don't think I could ever see you as a woman'.
I tried to maintain a relationship with him, but the problem was that he just sort of chose the route of pretending that my transition didn't exist. For a long time, he used my little brother's unawareness (I feel this to be the case, anyways) of the fact that I was transgender and the fact that he didn't want to 'confuse' him (in quotes because those are his words), so that I would just present as male around him. Well, my brother found out through my mother, and ever since I feel that he's made much less effort to speak with me.
I'm, frankly, really hurt by his response. I've tried multiple times to get through to him, but all have failed. I even asked him if he could just use my preferred name, or no name at all, and the pronouns I prefer (or avoid them altogether). Even if he didn't believe that I could ever be a woman, and even if he thought he was lying to me by talking to me as though I were (his words also), I saw it as a matter of respect. I drew it to be similar to how while I call him Joel, that isn't his legal name, and it is instead something else that he doesn't like to be called. He wasn't down for that.
Essentially due to his behavior surrounding this, I am debating whether or not to include him in my birthday celebration, which is still somewhat of a big thing in our family. We tend to make a big deal out of it for longer than others might, but I am not sure what is the norm. On one hand, I want him to be there. I want a relationship with him, because I think the bond that we had is special, and it was very important to me. On the other, I want him to understand that I don't want him to keep treating me this way, because I think that it's unfair to me. It's a really tough situation for me, because he's the closest thing to a father I've ever had and has done so much for me, but his actions recently have wounded me.
So, am I overreacting?

Basically I've realized that the only way to deal with sites like OF is to assume that everything you're seeing and hearing is a lie.
Get a message that says it was sent only to you but is suspiciously lacking in any info specific to you? It's a lie.
They say they will send you X if you go and like/comment on some amount of their posts? Probably a lie.
You bought a dick rate? They probably sent the same text/video response to 100 other people.
In fact, you might not even be talking to the person you think you are. Many creators will just hire someone else to handle the chatting or have their partner do it or something.
Ok, you don't want to pay for rates or sexting or anything that could just be a complete lie, so you want to buy a custom thing that ensures the creator must actually do at least a few minutes of work themselves? That will be several hundred dollars please. (Also you might never get it because it could turn out the entire account was fake and OF will side with the scammer)
Those "spin the wheel to earn a prize" things? Total scam, the creator can just pick which one they want to do, it's not up to chance.
The disclaimer things in their bio making various legal threats if you do anything with their content? Mostly BS. The only way you have a chance of seeing legal consequences is if you redistribute their content to others in a way that can be tied back to you.
Some of these disclaimers are hilarious and even try to prohibit DOWNLOADING the content... I'm sorry but did you think the internet worked by opening magical inter-dimensional portals between people's screens and nothing is ever stored on the end user's machine? If you thought that I have some bad news for you; if anyone can see any of your content, they have already downloaded it. End of story. These disclaimers are just more lies trying to scare you. You are safe to download as much as you want, as downloading it is a prerequisite to viewing it at all.
A creator is running some kind of contest/sweepstakes thing? Good chance it's a scam. You won't win and they won't provide any proof of giving something to the winner, so how would you know? Also some people host "fuck a fan" contests??.. Which is literally just prostitution except most people get nothing. Not really sure how that's legal.
Any basic demographic info you see like name, age, location, etc is probably also a lie, although I get that in those cases it's partially about anonymity.
I understand that some users want to be lied to because they are trying to live out some kind of fantasy with these sites. I also understand that many creators on the site are well-meaning people trying to make an honest living. But the sheer extent of the lying and lack of any kind of regulation or standards just makes it an awful experience. This subject follows along from the general conclusion of infantilism, i.e. if we agree that infantilism exists in a culture that therefore all aspects of (such a culture) must be examined as to how they are impacted ‘by’ that infantilism, as: infantilism constitutes an undeveloped form of a thing; here (without covering absolutely every single aspect of it, as this could be a book in and of itself) we explore ‘sexual immaturity’ and its promulgation and consequences (of which we could easily make the case of the consequences as to be the cause of ‘all social ill’).
In an anthropological view; as if like we are looking at a chimpanzee colony, both procreation and familial-tribal child-raising takes place in our contemporary Western societies in a very clumsy sort of way; with the latter (i.e. the actual raising of children) not occurring at all, with the consequence of ‘arrested development’ – usually we would recognize and name it as that, if we ever thought very deeply about it:
However, the notion that all of this could be reduced to and fathomed as ‘sexual immaturity’ is an interesting (and unexplored) avenue to approach these matters from; certainly the act of actual procreation is deliberately accidental (I mean here in the contemporary West) in that a Woman does “not seek a mate” and then become pregnant, i.e. she does not even consider the sexual act to be procreative, rather: she accidentally becomes pregnant (“it was a miracle”), having beforehand and all throughout the duration and beyond it a culture which is far detached from the physical reality of things and thus a new human is created with no forethought for its care or provision and no security net in place to provide for it and ensure its prosperity and intelligent up-bringing, and increasingly there are fewer and fewer intelligent older persons around who are capable of providing the education and care for that child as would naturally exist in the large familial-tribal unit of an extended family where, historically, we all came from and of which is still the norm across much of the world (i.e. village elders who would otherwise raise the children up to be intelligent even if the Mother herself is too young to be a real parent - if we imagine as the species norm would be that most Women historically had their first child at around the age of fourteen or fifteen). Without, then, that familial-tribal unit to instruct and care for the child’s intellectual development and without either land to make a living from to provide for it's economic development then we find a cursed life, that is: a life far more difficult than it otherwise ought be had it been born in a more wisely chosen environment.
My point here is that ‘procreation’ is considered almost never at all by our society as being the most basic step in the creation and promulgation ‘of’ a tribal unit; with procreation itself being left down to blind chance and more often either legitimately accidentally or feigned accidently so as to attempt to cement a relationship (see: divorce and break-up rates in the West), either way this is the material circumstance into which children are born.
To say, then, that not grasping this reality ‘is’ itself a product of sexual immaturity; i.e. a Woman who does not understand what a new human is, seems to me to be far more of an accurate view of the thing than to declare it as ‘sexual immorality’ as it is usually insisted by the Abramic types, as: rather obviously it is ‘Sexual Immaturity’ rather than ‘Sexual Immorality’ that is the really cause of (the above scenario), that is: it is not Men and Women knowing too much about sex but of Men and Women knowing virtually nothing at all and therefore absent of a practice and familiarity necessary for Sexual Maturity, with Sexual Maturity itself being the very thing declared to be Immorality - an irreconcilable paradox.
It seems to me, then, that the habits we observe of ‘accidental pregnancy’ are the natural occurrence in such an unnatural society; that is: a consequence of misplaced moralism over the vital mechanical sexual functions of the human body (a thing which may well dominate and drive our unconsciousness entirely) have been rendered so alien to our expression and consideration but of which are so incessant and irrepressible; that sexual release is habitually denied, I mean here societally (i.e. “it is not polite”), and only finds ‘permission’ to appear in extreme drunkenness in fits of frenzy, and so on, so that when procreation actually occurs it is sporadic and neither at that moment nor before it was the adult rational mind involved – again, this is plainly a consequence of ‘sexual immaturity’ ‘before’ it could ever be said to be a consequence of ‘sexual immorality’.
It’s worth considering, of our own society in contemporary times, how far removed we are from most of the world which practices arrange marriages in one form or another (i.e. whether we are speaking of large tribal units or smaller family units) and what the consequence of this is on our own communities being absent of that; that is: the most fertile years of our lives are not spent having gotten procreation out of the way by having five or six children by the age of twenty or nineteen (so that when the child is fifteen you might be thirty, which seems to be the age where the sexual drive begins to dissipate or has anyway lost its novelty), and instead (i.e. without of being match-made far earlier in life) procreation instead occurs – if it does at all – accidentally and well-past the most fertile and healthy years, with such children being often quite sickly and the strain on the body being significantly more risky to the Mother (haphazardly enabled only then by massive external resources which would not have been required at all beforehand). I do not mean to seem as if I am advocating “having five or six children by the age of twenty or nineteen” only that in our natural environment this has always been the way of the thing due to natural sexual exploration when we are at that age.
At the same time, at the beginning and at the end of this “waste of time” (as I would say) of those most fertile years in which our sexuality is forbidden to us; that culture which we examine here as being simply Sexual Immaturity, it has been the case that that “Immaturity” persists well into later life by those afflicted adults who were forbidden to practise their natural sexuality when they were at the age where they wanted to, that is that the culture and mentality of such persons subjected to such restrictions quite demonstrably can be shown to have regressed them to the point that, as then as adults, they dress as children, speak and think as children, shun adult responsibility and seem altogether to have matured intellectually no further than the age of twelve or thirteen years, despite physiologically and neurologically having surpassed far beyond that early almost larval-like stage of our development where the body and mind are both only partially formed.
Instead it has been the “dragging-out” of that childlike insensibility, again: to no useful outcome, which has by that point in time essentially mitigated most of their procreative potentiality in that 1) physically having children is then far more difficult for them, and 2) they are now twenty-five years behind where their familial-tribal unit might otherwise have been, i.e. they do not have five or six twenty year old children bringing in incomes to the Household (to purchase a Household in the first place if they did not possess one before) or working the land (or likewise to purchase land) so that their prosperity will not have developed beyond mere subsistence off of the external labour market so as to escape the poverty and dependency traps inherent in the cities – which nominally constitutes their entire existence ‘to’ escape such miseries. All in all it is a lot of hard work by that point and I could not help but notice, of my own generation and those slightly older, how this outcome would have been entirely altered and set on a more prosperous trajectory if, say, at the age of sixteen a couple had been put together and had a few children, as: by the age of twenty the best seeds would have been sewn and they would not have to even think about “having children” ever again which is itself a thing, I observe anyway, that is so daunting and bothersome later in life that it really is something better gotten out of the way as early as possible in the manner that we would have done quite naturally otherwise.
If the idea here is to build up that familial-tribal unit then this methodology serves the purpose in the most optimal manner; the adults are freed up and enjoy their liberties, the younger adults (i.e. the teenagers) are preoccupied quite happily fulfilling their single greatest biological urges to have sex as much as they like, and the population figures begin to climb up at a rate of replacement which is far superior, e.g. a thirty year old parent of a fifteen year old only has five years before that fifteen year becomes a physically matured adult ready to contribute to the unit, whereas by contrast a thirty year old parent of a five year old has a great longer time to wait for physical maturity so that the distance between the two age groups becomes fragile and thin the further it is stretched with a concurrent loss of replacement manpower by a space of ten additional years.
There is something to be said for the older more experienced Father, of course, I remember quite well that the children I grew up with whose Fathers were in their forties and fifties and whose Mothers were in their twenties or very early thirties were quite better-off in their disposition and intelligence (whilst those with older Mothers tended to be sickly in one way or another); simply put though I think it is more to do with the experience of age as the influencing factor than anything else and a functional familial-tribal unit would have this influence in far greater capacity.
If we add to this factor the notion of polygamy (something shunned as ‘pagan’ by the Abramic religions yet advocated for in their own holy books, indeed: it was the universal norm) then we find the whole circle being completed in that young teenagers do as they please with each other, becoming familiar with relationship and their sexuality, and then when they reach a more mature age they might marry each other or other people properly so as to begin families of their own; but that by that age they may well have produced several children already via multiple partners so that the actual ‘legitimate children’ (in the sense of inheriting land and titles) of a more formal marriage is superfluous to population replacement insofar as the tribe is concerned, as: they have already increased the headcount quite massively by comparison. It is worth mentioning here the legal problems of land inheritance and the seeming inability for people to ever work this all out amongst themselves as being one of the most desirable points of the introduction of some of the Abramic religions, when they first appeared, as rules were laid out of who could inherit (some rules more effective than others, some quite ruinous in fact) which provided a framework in perpetuity (but on the other hand, with all children being considered legitimate in some instances, i.e. the children of concubines, this produced the problem of “all children” being in competition for the single title or, in turn, a vast spread of land, i.e. a Kingdom, being broken apart “to make it all fair”: this did not differ in form from, say, Imperial China to the late Ottoman court whilst the European Monarchies to their credit, somewhat, temporarily solved the matter by the allocation of specific titles to be given to the first born, second born, third born, etc., and then bouncing back to the Monarch upon the death of that Duke to be allocated again – although some would say this is a feeble manner by which to govern large polities it differs not very much from the essential ‘oversight’ duties over local governments as practiced in the Roman Principate rather than direct-governorship over those provinces themselves).
The tribal influence in real terms upon children cannot be understated in its superior effects upon the character and long-term capacity of the children themselves (when compared to others); I have some experience in my own up-bringing with this and really the outcome (again: compared to the infantilism, i.e. arrested development, you will almost always find in the nuclear family type, which we might easily compare to factory farmed within four walls and a hen-pecking parental authority vs. free range) is a quite more matured and capable disposition (call it “street smarts” if you like; they follow what actually works rather than what is ‘pretended to them’ to work, which is typically nothing more than the parents own whimsical desires of the moment) amongst all the children when they are simply freed up from the poor influence of an unfit parent even without the good influence of a more fit parent of which, then, the fit parent itself could be determined to be largely superfluous, as: of their own accord they learn amongst themselves and become naturally fortified against being instructed into error by a witless or ill-inclined adult, whereas a child stuck under the thumb of a witless ‘parent’ has no means to disobey that witless parent without facing severe punishments and so there the child is sculpted into a helpless fool, later embittered in life and at the tender mercy of their peers, as: even as they might innately know-better (than to do the foolish thing their parent demands they do) they are forced nevertheless, either physically punished or emotionally coerced, into adopting the ‘silly walk’ and ‘dress’ of the witless parent, which is to say: they are forced into conforming toward the cultural idealism determined by the parent with no thought whatsoever for the practicalities of life, e.g. the matter of “how will my child earn a living” is addressed neither by parenting nor by schools thus begrudgingly selling themselves auction block of the labour market turns out to be the only method, whether they were deluded into thinking that their aspirations to be a professional athlete or an astronaut were entertained and encouraged for them at the expense of informing them about any other means of paying the rent or not.
I should say here that when I say “familial-tribal unit” I am broadly referring to any number of groupings, in whatsoever local forms they may take shape, but that the decisive factor, most chiefly, will be a large extended family network of which, if it ever needed to pool its resource together, would constitute a decent size force in land, resource production and manpower – but chiefly it is the possession of land which enables everything else:
More ideally, to my mind, it would resemble (or be very close in composition to) that Roman ‘Familia’ (the origin of the word ‘Family’ in our English) where a fairly large blood family of at least five generations inhabited in and around the same House or group of Houses (see: Palace, Villa and Manor Economy), with servants and adoptees and associates (business partners) likewise being considered as extended kin; altogether forming, as it were, a little nationality. In the sense of ‘Nationality’ it is, it ought be said, more a return to how we actually were prior to the ‘naming conventions’ of the 1700’s or so where the stupid surnames made up on the spot of many Europeans were forced into Law over what would have originally been clan and tribal identities and from which there came that fake sense of disparate ‘Nationality’ (i.e. cut off from tribe and forced into atomization; identity through a very small family unit alone) from which the misnomer of ‘Race’ would be made-up to lend credibility to. In many ways a great deal of the urbane ‘neurosis’, let’s call it, stems really from this absence of ‘true tribe’ with it having been eradicated either by the fecklessness of urban societies; societies of strangers and thieves, and also more directly via those religions which pretend to fill the void of ‘true tribe’ with their witless rituals and effete pretences – things which are a wet-blanket over true fellowship wrought in such a manner as comes in all reality perfectly naturally the moment the screws holding foolishness in place are undone and cast away – and really here, when we stack these observations together one upon the other, we are really speaking of a sound and strong society certainly immune to the shallow perversity created by denialism toward the basic mechanics of the human body – in addition to any other considerations which follow from that.

THE OVERALL INFLUENCE (OR LACK THEREOF) OF A TRIBAL-FAMILIAL UNIT

It must be considered quite seriously by the reader as to the overall influence, or lack thereof, of a tribal-familial unit as to what fills its place in the education of people otherwise and, as I began this text by considering for myself, how much of the ‘dysfunctionality’ can be attributed to the “lack thereof”.
Along with the cultural instance on sexual immaturity as to produce the consequence of delaying and drawing out for decades a fetish of normal sexuality which ought naturally be done with by a person after reaching the age, say, of maybe seventeen, there is the greater point which I am trying to relay here in this text of how many other aspects of ‘bad culture’ are singularly anchored to and thusly totally dependent upon that sexual immaturity – that is: we would be hard-pressed to imagine how really many of the pernicious scenarios in our contemporary society would even arise if that foundation stone of ‘sexual immaturity’ were removed from the equation:
For instance, how much of a ‘relationship’ is spent and sculpted (either by the Man or the Woman or both) on jealously and worry of the other ending the relationship for having found another person or another means to fulfil their sexual gratification? If a ‘relationship’ is based upon, let’s call this, “mutual masturbation” then at the heart of that is sexual immaturity of the mental age of maybe fourteen years whereupon a person has been sort of coaxed into dependency for orgasm on a third party; they are fraught and fearful that this should be taken away from them – it being so vital as like a mechanical necessity for either sex – that the entire content of their ‘relationship’ revolves around it; seeking it, coaxing it, demanding it, guarding it from be lost, and so on, of which I think it is not exaggeration to say that such concerns constitute 100% of the verbal interaction in such a ‘couple’; either outright or in the back of the mind so as to reinterpret all scenarios and verbal expressions as being related to that end-goal of maintaining the “mutual masturbation”.
Simply put this ‘relationship’, then, revolves around twenty minutes of sexual activity in a day – if that much (or even if every day), yet dominates the entirety of the mind; that is: the entirety of the ‘relationship’, when this action itself is something that a servant or a slave or a prostitute would be used for in many societies, with the ‘content’ of the marriage, say, being concerned more with running the business of a Household or concerned with procreation to produce legitimate children to inherit the business, the title, the land, whatever. My point here is that neither Man nor Woman are elevated or their dignity improved, somehow, by this absence of sexual maturity but rather that both are reduced; i.e. greatly lowered, to the cognitive and social standing of the “servant, slave, prostitute,” in that as far as they think of and conceptualize themselves as part of a Household at all it is singularly the concern with simple sexual acts which dominate their interpersonal interactions and their ideas about their own self; it is their ‘social currency’.
If this seems alien – I mean my observation on this – consider how much neurosis goes on in the daily grooming rituals of Women or those sad excuses for Men who “lift weights but cannot fight” (not to mention the ease at which a thin muscular physique bleeds out at the slightest of puncture wounds, see: Roman Gladiator training), i.e. whose only concern is that of admiring their own bodies in a mirror, this being intellectually identical to young Women. Is this not the mentally of a slave? If so, even if we shy away from saying it plainly, then we must ask “what forms the mentality of a slave (i.e. where does it come from)” – in the above equation a slave in a Household is more like an object fulfilling a function than He or She is a person with any autonomy (well, obviously there is no autonomy for a slave) so it is almost to be expected that in such an environment that the intellectual trajectory of an object-person goes away from externalities and becomes entirely absorbed with self-presentation and equates their social status from that, and if groups of such persons will set this to be the common culture; deriving status in that manner among themselves – although still these are slaves possessing no ‘status’ to speak of, as being object-people. This is evidenced also in victims of sexual abuse or those, in general, suffering at the hands of third parties whose autonomy is in some way or another restricted; that their singular focus becomes that of sexuality as like depression is “rage turned inward”, thus too it seems for sexual infantilism.
I cannot pass up this subject without mentioning a series of interviews describing, a thing quite novel to me, the notion of American Christian ‘Purity Culture’ from the point of view of those heavily indoctrinated into that; instilled with Catholic levels of guilt over the normal function of the body, who have then left their small churches or megachurches, or whatever, and spoken plainly about the mentality of those inside of it as relating to sexuality. It is a thing I think long suspected but seldom expressed that, as it was described, the mentality of such persons is that they are “horny all the time” due to the relentless guilt inculcated into them; that due to denialism of sexuality their ordinary sexual impulses are magnified to an incredible degree and that, consequentially, their entire being is animated by repressed sexuality so that their thoughts are ‘impure’ all the time whilst verbally they express strong denialism and shame over the thing. I think this is no real difference to any such religious malinstruction; be it Muslim, Jewish or Christian, in that the perpetual infantilism of their surrounding society stems first of all from their own bedrock religious culture (i.e. whatever religion which is at odds with the human body, etc.) were due to such ‘culture’ they never really get over, say, an early adolescent view of sexuality where they are driven entirely by it and never learn to overcome it, no pun intended, but utterly unrealized – which would take them leaving their religion – is that this process demonstrably brings out the absolute worst in their character and disposition with the process itself being the promulgation ‘of’ those very “Viceful thoughts ” that they claim to be “at War with in the world”, in other words: it is just they themselves who, for example, look at a young teenage girl (or god help us, a small boy) and thinks all manner of sexual rapacity – and that this animates them politically to campaign for restrictive legislation to be put into Law to police “all society” as if “all society” existed at their low level is an incredible thing to consider. But I do not think their broader societies are any exception to this, rather point here is that their broader societies are comprised of persons exactly like them; that the Christian or the Jew driven by a lifetimes shaming over their normal sexuality adopt, in turn, the most depraved expressions ‘of’ sexuality as a self-affirmation; that is: the extreme self-identification with a simple sexual action, for example, came to literally define a persons personality in such places to the point that (Americans anyway) seriously put out the notion during the late 1990’s and 2000’s that a fleeting sexual act 1) defines a persons entire character, and 2) it is also inborn, e.g. as like to say that whether you prefer this or that on the menu at a restaurant is something determined genetically; this is utterly stupid and utterly, in my opinion, a consequence of society which has not wanted to evolve beyond the ‘sexual immaturity’ of which physiologically seems to occupy a very small window of the middle to late teens and of which repression during those ages quite demonstrably creates madness and retardation – I mean that if their culture did not peripherally do this to them then the manner by which swathes of their cultural-historical institutions do this to them ‘outright’ by inculcation into this process in particular certainly does it to them, and merely it is the unwillingness to fully condemn these Religions and relegate these influences to the dustbin which keeps the entire thing ticking along with “just enough” of the population bent out of shape by it to present those same persons, seemingly confused as to where they came from, lumbering through the broader society and serving as examples of lunacy and degeneracy.
In short - and I may as well add this here also, the aim to abstain for a while from sexuality was a custom introduced by the Ancient Romans and was designed to heighten sexual pleasure; in effect, then, foreign barbarians coming to this culture much later on with nobody to really explain it to them ended up unwittingly engaging in what they would probably have recognized as ‘sex magic’ whereupon the denial of their own mechanical sexual function was ‘abstained’ by them; i.e. they saw the value in holding off on doing drugs or having sex for a while, – but they did not understand what the effect or the outcome of that was ‘intended’ to be in that one would abstain specifically ‘to’ heighten the senses toward that pleasure; and this is evidenced chiefly in the Lunar Orgies and the Fast/s of Ceres. Interestingly, Jesus himself in (i think the Gospel of Thomas?) mentions to his followers that “they will hate him for what he says now,” and that he says that “fasting brings out all the worst in them” – in other words, engaging in periodic abstinence will turn them all horny. Knowing this from a relatively early age it was no surprise to me at all why celibate priests ended up diddling children or member of their own congregation or why the most outwardly pious zealots proved to be the most morally weak people to be found as even with the most ‘clean’ example, let’s say, of a person who has never drank wine, for example, they have not ‘overcome’ that thing but have rather avoided ever experiencing that thing so that it will always be a novel temptation to them of which they will have no understanding of and which they can be leveraged by in various ways primarily due to their ignorance of which ‘experience itself’ would otherwise render them far more fortified against:
A good example here is the ‘pot scare’ of the early 1930’s in America when it was seriously believed by a wholly ignorant chunk of the urbane voting public that smoking cannabis (and drinking alcohol, for that matter) would turn a person into a serial killer, this is totally bizarre to us now, but notice that this was the same society whose moral standard was that “a table leg” should not be uncovered because it reminded them of a Womans bare leg – although here we might better understand why they were so preoccupied by thoughts like that (I think very seriously in their heightened state of perpetual arousal any little thing would send them to buggery of a farmyard creature)! Hilarious. But – notice also that this was the same society which was engaging in some of the most casually egregious inhumane criminality that history had ever seen, as if they ‘were’ high on narcotics and their rational senses dulled; I do not mean here to bring American notions of ‘Race’ into this as to be seen to ‘condemn Black Slavery’ in the fashion of my own day (although we mentioned family-tribe as a better form of so-called nationality earlier) but the ghastly images of actual Country Fairs where smiling families with children by their knees would pose for crude photographs with the charcoaled or bloated rotting carcass of a burned or lynched Man is beyond my ability to play-down or normalize. I mean here to say, that: far from the pretense of ‘clean mindedness’ of such persons about themselves that we find these same persons are the filthiest and most depraved characters around, being those few persons who walk amongst us who are actually capable of doing those inhumane things (again, see: Banality of Evil) as would be unthinkable to a person of normal rational healthy conscience. We might connect this, also, to the historical BDSM extravaganzas which took place in the Christian monasteries and public squares for many centuries where young Women were sexually tortured by celibate clergymen as to recognize how deep and quick a plunge it is from a person or their culture going from the denial of normal healthy sexuality into the kettled and sadistic gore fetish of outright murder.
It is always worth reminding the reader who wishes to minimize these more egregious aspects of the subject (as rape is still rampant among the clergy); which are consequential of sexual immaturity, that it was not ‘reason and rationality’ per se that stamped this out from European society but soldiers kicking in the doors of such Churches, Town Halls and Houses with muskets, rifles, long knives and grape-shot and physically eradicating the perpetrators and their willing congregations from America and France for the practice itself of sexually torturing a Woman and then burning the evidence on the fake pretexts of obviously made-up accusations of “she turned me into a frog” to actually be ended. That is to say that the ‘mentality’ and ‘culture’ which provided the framework for such inhumane activities was never formally realized or educated-out of a people, so to find it lingers along into contemporary times; animating the otherwise dormant farmyard animal-like character of such persons “like powers of evil”, is not surprising to me in the least. What was more surprising to me is that as so much of these religions are so obviously outright ‘evil’ that more persons do not speak of the intricacies of the things in such necessary detail these more ‘egregious’ cases would qualify, and then to spool back to discover the cause of every evil action in the mentality of every perpetrator – generally speaking, for instance, it will be a character with a disposition of infantilism and perhaps this is more easy to understand without needing to connect it to sexual immaturity though, to my mind, these are not distinct enough to warrant any separation; as: infantilism is always going to be immaturity and immaturity is always going to run concurrent with a lack of adult intellectual development where a mature and experienced view of a thing, sexuality in this case, has likely been within the powers of a person to have gleaned naturally through experiences – in which case there would be no argument with anything I say here, or of which such experiences have been prevented by external powers from being gleaned by the person in question; in which case they remain ‘as if’ they were fourteen years old with the allure of mysterious unknown sex acts utterly dominating their consciousness at all times and yet physically being thirty, forty, fifty years old – well past the age (certainly physiologically) where they should have gotten it all out of their system but of which they have not, chiefly because their experiences have been rather dull and monotone and so much social currency has been valued by it ‘being’ dull and monotone, e.g. monogamy, legal repercussions binding two people in place, the atomized kettling nature of the disconnected nuclear family unit, living amongst strangers in large cities where it not so simple as just going topless to change the local culture, control through the selective denial of the sex act itself (as William Reich and Esther Vilar both write on), the sexualisation of young people by adults, the accidental ‘perversity’ (in the real meaning of the word) of unfulfilled (or poorly fulfilled, or repressed altogether) sexuality and its effects on the brain and society, and so on and so on.
I am always inclined to think when considering this subject, and I may as well end this text in conclusion with this recurrent thought of mine, that ‘sexual perversion’ really begins in the mind of ourselves as young teenagers when the normal human body is leeringly presented to us as being something ‘illicit’, e.g. the breasts of Women are concealed in our society and so due to ‘hiding them away’ they become objects of mystery and fetish which they otherwise are not. I do not think this is deliberate reverse psychology (as god help us few enough people even understand the concept to understand what they do inadvertently) but it produces the same consequence of reverse psychology, whereupon quite arbitrarily a certain piece of the body, say, an ankle, is all of a sudden declared by a mad Adult to be “evil, sinful, lustful, of the devil,” when no such notion existed in the minds of people otherwise, as then: their natural curiosity is piqued by this imposition and so they develop a perversion dervied in chief part – as a sense of lewd pleasure – from bucking the arbitrary nonsensical imposition forced upon them by that dictate of which such a scenario never would have had cause to occur if not for that imposition having created it. I feel that this ‘perversion’ (again, in the real meaning of that word) stands in the way of a fully realized and fully pursued sense of actual sexuality and, from it, of a more resonant concordance between Men and Women whose interactions are otherwise thrown off balance by such impositions as they are dragged back down to sexual immaturity all the time; or into fear and jealously etc., as like a dozen avenues are presented in any conversation and virtually of them are strewn with piss, vomit and polyfoam which had no reason to be put there in the first place, or more accurately: it was put there through the carelessness of an atomized and witless peoples who knew no better than to do this to themselves but of which a familial-tribal unit would have drummed out of them quick sharp if for the actuality of nothing else than “we are all in this together” being something that is tangibly true and not merely shallow political rhetoric when it is said of a tribe vs. when it is said of a state polity comprised of countless strangers.

MINOT — On March 4, 2021, the North Dakota House of Representatives stopped its busy legislative schedule to consider harassment accusations against state Rep. Luke Simons of Dickinson.
The claims against Simons spanned years and included not just staff at the Bismarck Capitol and news media members but also some of his fellow lawmakers, such as Grand Forks Rep. Emily O'Brien and Casselton Rep. Brandy Pyle, both Republicans. Ultimately, the House made the unprecedented move of voting to expel Simons, something that had never happened before in state history.
That expulsion has become one of the fault lines in the North Dakota Republican Party, dividing traditional conservatives from an ascendant faction of MAGA populists closely aligned with former President Donald Trump.
Many outspoken members of the populist faction — including former lawmaker Rick Becker, who is currently seeking election to the U.S. House of Representatives and opposed Simons' expulsion during floor debate in 2021 — have claimed that Simons was removed improperly and wasn't afforded due process.
Now Simons, who has stayed active in politics, including providing a recent defense of a Williston-area Republican lawmaker who has refused to resign after berating law enforcement officers with homophobic slurs during a DUI arrest, is accused of a years-long history of mental and physical abuse against his wife and children. That's according to court documents in a divorce proceeding his wife filed in June 2023. The filings, in which she is the plaintiff, indicate that the two have been separated since October 2021.
Forum Communications Company does not typically name the survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
"Throughout our marriage, Luke has a history of assaulting myself and our children," states a declaration filed in the case by the plaintiff on March 1, 2024. "Social service reports exist that document Luke has beat our children with a 2x4, extension cords, and also used a crowbar for spankings. He has run into me with a 4 wheeler, attacked me until I was on the floor, punched my nose and broke my glasses and phone."
"Luke punched the walls of our home and choked me until I passed out," the declaration continues. "We have been separated following a significant domestic violence incident in October 2021, in which Luke assaulted me and bit one of our daughters, requiring the intervention of Luke's father and our church."
The filing includes photos of the bite wound. The plaintiff alleges that Simons bit another of their children after becoming frustrated while teaching that child to drive.
One exhibit in the case is a testimonial from Simons' wife dated November 2021, just months after Luke Simons' expulsion from the Legislature. Titled "My Story," it contains allegations of abuse by Luke Simons against his wife dating back to their wedding night in 1999.
Describing it as "such a happy, scary, time for a young lady," the plaintiff indicates that she "did something wrong or said something wrong and made him upset" at which point "he pushed me out of bed and I slept on the floor" with "no clothes and no blankets."
She also alleges that Luke raped her in the basement of his parent's home after a Wednesday church meeting, and that he perpetrated physical abuse against her — everything from kicks to punches to choking and slaps — during the more than 18 years they lived together on their ranch. "I found out that chains really hurt and even leave chain shaped bruises," she wrote.
She claims that Luke accused her of being deficient in her "Bible studies" because she was "missing the part about wives being submissive to their husbands." She says Luke claims she was talking "with a bad attitude just like liberal Democrats."
Under a section of the document titled "Reasons to get away," the plaintiff wrote, "I don't remember the last time I felt 100% safe and secure in my own home." She also wrote that she wants to "get away from Luke and his weird ideas about women and girls and their proper place."
In his own court filings, Luke Simons doesn't dispute that abuse occurred in the marriage.
"Plaintiff alleges Defendant was abusive throughout the parties' entire relationship," a pre-trial brief filed by Luke Simons's legal counsel states. "Defendant does not deny that abuse occurred but does deny that it occurred to the extent Plaintiff claims. He admits that he has made mistakes in the past and has sought counseling to overcome his issues."
At least one member of Simons' own family also acknowledges that abuse occurred in the relationship. One of the exhibits in the plaintiff's filings is a text message sent by Ben Simons, brother to Luke Simons, to the couple's children in which he refers to "wrong" perpetrated by his brother even as he opposes the divorce.
"Your mom is still proceeding with divorcing your dad," he wrote in the Aug. 10, 2023, text. "There is not one spiritual leader in her life that has condoned this. Your mom is being wrong. I know your dad has been very wrong for a lot of your growing up years but now it's your mom that is in the wrong."
"I wished so bad that your whole family would've not covered up the wrong that your dad did and maybe your family could've been helped sooner," Ben Simons, a former Republican candidate for the Legislature, continued. "I was so mad at your dad when I found out, I couldn't even talk to him. Now I don't want to cover up what wrong your mom is doing."
I sent a list of questions to Jamie Haynes, attorney for Luke Simons in this proceeding. I asked him which specific allegations of abuse Luke Simons denies.
Haynes told me his client declined to answer. "This is a private family matter that involves children. Luke won’t defend himself. He loves his family and hopes that this can be reconciled in the future."
Sandra Kuntz, an attorney who is representing the plaintiff in these proceedings, declined to comment on behalf of her client.

I dont even know how to explain this. Ok I got into an accident last month and I know I am at fault. The incident was minor, i thought the light turned green and let go of the gas. It left a minor dent and paint scratch. The lady i hit drove off before we can exchange insurances and file a police report. I still stayed and filed a report. Mind you, i have my own insurance. Last month i got a mailed in letter from progressive about the accident. Called my insurer, they said they’ll handle it. Today, i get another letter from Progressive about the same claim and for some reason, they also sent a claim for my accident to my mom. She has progressive. I am in no way shape or form in her policy, she did not buy my car, sign my car, nothing to do with me and my car. Yet somehow she got a claim against her insurance for my incident. The only thing is that i am living in her house. Not on the lease but her address is on my ID. Before someone asks if its fake, its not. We checked. For whatever reason they are now going after my moms clean perfect record insurance for my incident. Now they are forcing her to cough up $1k. I tried searching online for this with no results. Is this even possible? Legal? I live in the state of Florida if that helps. Im just so confused and new to all of this considering this is my first ever accident.

So, about this morning.
I got to the clinic in KCK by 8:00 a.m. and Kevan the Wife Beating Womb Sniffing Hillbilly Street Preacher was already there, but he and three other people were the only ones who showed up. I think most of the womb sniffers were over on the Missouri side trying to fix themselves up with drag queens at Pride. 🤣
My brother and then Moe showed up not too much later. We were there until about 11:00, I think. One of the escorts' husbands came and sat with us on the sidewalk for the last hour or so while his wife escorted patients. Most of the appointments at that clinic today were going to be done virtually anyway, so there wasn't a whole lot of traffic, but I believe that the staff at that clinic has been more proactive in warning patients not to engage with people on the sidewalk, because none of the patients even looked the way of any of the protesters. We kept reminding Kevan of that, but he was too annoyed with me for calling him a wife beater every chance I got to think much about that.
He claims I'm lying about him being a wife beater and that God counts all the lies coming out of my mouth and will one day take it out of my sinning hide, a prospect I'm sure that he masturbates to with disgusting regularity. 🤪 I told him that since he insists on lying to patients about abortion being murder, then he deserves to be lied about, and if he doesn't like it, he should shut his big fucking yap and go the fuck home.
My brother had sat out in the heat for just about long enough, and I didn't blame him for deciding to call it a day at that point. Moe and I decided to go down to the Overland Park clinic, since there were a large number of Catholics there and only four or five defenders. The fake clinic vest people were also there, which is unusual for a Saturday.
The fake clinic vest people have become more bold over the last few weeks, attempting to speak to patients and being much more belligerent than they had been. I already knew this as I was driving from KCK to Overland Park and the farther I drove the more pissed I got thinking about it. They, with their orange vests and their fake traffic cones and their thinking that the FACE Act doesn't apply to them, really had me pissed off. So I called a friend who works for the Department of Transportation, to ask if she knew anything about the laws concerning traffic cones. I know she's not a lawyer, and I was taking a chance on using her as a source, but she told me that it was her understanding that unless a property owner or lessee puts traffic cones down or authorizes them to be put down, no one else has a right to.
So I got out of my car across the street from the Overland Park clinic, and in much the same fashion as I had done when I got out of my car across the street from the KCK clinic and the first action I took was to dash iced tea all over Kevan's precious sidewalk chalk renderings, I walked across the street and knocked over each of the traffic cones, one by one. Both of the fake clinic vest people started telling me that I couldn't touch their property, and I told them that since they weren't the property owners, they had no right to put down traffic cones. They immediately called the police.
While they were waiting for the police, the same whiny little bitch that I caught on video on Thursday called her supervisor, which resulted in several more orange vest clowns showing up to try and intimidate us about their "rights" on the sidewalk and to private property, which was highly amusing to me, Magic Mike, Moe, Brian, Steve and the rest of the crew, because here they are attempting to intimidate patients into stopping for them, but when it gets turned around and they are being intimidated, all of a sudden they're whining about how we're being intrusive.
The police came and stayed across the street, but the fake clinic vest people went whining over to them. I stayed put on the sidewalk, figuring that if they wanted to talk to me they could come talk to me. They never did. The police were told that I was being vulgar and profane toward them on the sidewalk (who, me? 🤪). The police told them that I could say anything I wanted to as long as I wasn't threatening them physically because of my first amendment rights. The police were told that people were pushing into them. The police told them the same thing that I had told the little bitch the other day, to wit, that her feet aren't nailed to the ground, so if someone is getting too close to her she needs to back away. They complained about Brian filming them. The police explained that there's no right or expectation to privacy when you're standing on a public sidewalk.
So to recap, when they want to stand on a sidewalk and attempt to stop people who are entering the driveway, that's okay. But when other people show up and keep them from doing this, suddenly their rights are being infringed.
The police never even came across the street, although I was quite prepared to tell them all about what these people do in the name of their religion, and how they might not like my nasty vulgar mouth, but my nasty vulgar mouth keeps them from bothering patients as much as they would if I were not there to stop them. I have fucking had it with these people. And if the Overland Park Police are not going to enforce the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act of 1994, then I and the group of defenders will do it.
When the orange vests came back across the street, looking sulky, they packed everything up and left.
I know there are people on my friends list who don't agree with me about abortion. I know there are people on my friends list who don't agree with my tactics on the sidewalk. I know that there are people who think that having defenders at a clinic just adds to the confusion for patients. But I'm not sure that's true. A woman came from the parking lot to speak to us while the whiners were across the street with the police. She wanted us to know that she had brought a patient from (an east coast state) for an abortion. They had to fly here. That is on top of paying about $800 for the abortion itself, the cost of losing work days, the cost of hotels and food, and all the practical obstacles that happen when you have to travel several states away for a medical procedure that you should be able to get in your own town. This person approached us because she wanted to thank us for what we were doing. I have never seen anyone walk up to the protesters and thank them. In fact, I've seen a lot of cars drive by flipping them the bird or yelling out the window. Maybe some of them yell at me too, as I know not everyone agrees about the legality of abortion. But making abortion illegal doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It means that it's no longer safe to obtain for a lot of women, because when something is illegal, the price can be driven up, and the methods can become dangerous and or ineffective.
Magic Mike, one of the defenders who is gifted with the ability to speak to these people with a lot more calmness than I can, tried this morning to tell them that all they were getting was a taste of their own medicine. That as long as they continue to harass patients, they were going to get pushback from people who didn't think that they should be harassing patients. I don't care how long it's going to take to get that through their heads. Moe and I were like the Katzenjammer Kids walking around knocking cones down after they started putting them back up. The cones eventually stayed down after they finally figured out we weren't going to stop knocking them down. The cops saw us doing it a number of times, but they never came over and asked us not to, because what we were doing was not illegal.
My late brother used to say that if you want to run with the big dogs, you'd better be able to piss in the high grass. And he was right. Score for the defenders today.
