Any Rivian owners between Denver and Trinidad Colorado have their NACS adapter yet?
2024.05.16 09:58 5C4MM3R Any Rivian owners between Denver and Trinidad Colorado have their NACS adapter yet?
If you do, I'd LOVE chat with you about possibly renting $$$ your adapter for 2 weeks (road trip: CO -> New Orleans -> Orlando).
I was really hoping I'd get my adapter by now (VIN ~17xxx, already opted-in), but unfortunately no follow-up email yet.

2024.05.16 08:36 The_professor053 A little secret about the Crossrow spotted in the concept art
https://i.imgur.com/k2kdr3V.png There are two birds on the lower left of the concept art released for the Crossrow, one of the libraries of the Watchman's Tree, and the big one with a white head is a laughingthrush. From what we know, the Crossrow is in New Orleans, and there aren't any laughingthrushes in North America...
Except, perhaps, for one
I also think the other brown bird on the lower left is worth mentioning too, but I have no idea what species it's supposed to be. It
does look like a kiwi, but none of the Aviform hours are connected to them (and its beak is too short). That said, if any hour was, I would expect it to be the Velvet, and that's only
partly because kiwis look like moles: they're small, scurrying, ground hugging birds that live in lush, sodden forests. And, they're nocturnal, so they only scamper around in the dark. I can easily imagine the Velvet sneaking beneath the meetings of the Roost and listening in... so maybe there really is a connection here.
But it could also just be a beige dove. If it is a Kiwi, I have no idea how it got in that tree. It's certainly not a crow or a kite.
Finally, the other set of birds in the image on the roof look... dove-like... but it's hard to make out. Since they're bright white, I think there's a connection there too to another one of the hours of the roost, but I admit it could just have been an aesthetic choice to match the building.

2024.05.16 06:17 RiC_David Lonely Souls - Season 2, Episode 7 [Monumental Spoilers]
Even having now watched this bombshell episode for the fourth time, since discovering Twin Peaks seven years ago, this is still one of, if not, the most moving episodes of television I've ever seen.
I don't remember my exact reaction upon first learning the identity of BOB and then immediately witnessing such an appropriately disturbing depiction of murder, but knowing it's coming and dreading every second is its own experience.
The scene at the Roadhouse has always been one of my favourite series-defining scenes, but I'd forgotten just how masterfully interwoven it is with the Palmer house scene. I don't have anything new to say, I just had to talk about it a bit, because it's such phenomenal art.
Many TV series have episodes you both look forward to and writhe at the thought of having to go through again, but this has to be the most emotional for me, Maddie's killing feels like it gets more disturbing every go around, because it's so visceral with all the extended toying. I also noted how this is the first time we hear the trademark Palmer scream from herâit being Laura and Sarah's signatureâas they teased it a few times, so it felt like her fulfilling her tragic fate.
Besides that, I'd forgotten that this was when we see Katherine's identity reveal too, in another instance of the double feature theme.
That's all, it's a hell of a ride.

2024.05.16 06:05 cheekyandgeeky A positive discussion (hopefully!) Lol
With all the negative Nancies talking about how horrible theme park rides are in a Disney themed game (Even though this theme was literally picked from a survey they did previously where the majority picked theme park/attractions)
-ANYWAY- lol Can we talk about how awesome the starpath will be that goes along with Tiana's debut??? I'm soooo excited. I'm sure they're gonna give us some awesome New Orleans or bayou themed items đ€© and OMG imagine if the house she gets is Tiana's Palace!! Ahhh I can't wait lol. I'd honestly love to see Louis walking around playing his trumpet, but I doubt that'll happen lol. What items would you love to see in that starpath and/or her friendship items?

2024.05.16 05:26 NotAgainNOLA70119 BEWARE of Silver Lining Marketing!!
Disillusioned with the current job market? I get it, I really do. As if sifting through thousands of opportunities, writing a cover letters, going through 3 rounds of interviews, and all of the âhomework assignmentsâ isnât enough? But we CANâT forget to add a deep dive search into your potential employerâs background to the list because the amount of pyramid scheme/predatory companies out there is only increasing and theyâre getting more and more sophisticated.
Iâm have one intention; to prevent others from falling prey to the same predatory and morally corrupt situation that I found myself in. Thank god (or whomevewhatever is pulling the strings out there) for good friends with a knack for uncovering company's secrets or I would be working for a MLM right now. The company is called Silver Lining Marketing Inc. and theyâre office is located in Gretna, LA (but operates in the greater New Orleans Area). They have an actual office, with employees and everything. They even make their employees wear business professional clothing so as to appear more legitimate. They have a functioning website, which once I actually read everything on their website, I realized that they arenât really marketing the non-profits they fundraise for, but rather they are marketing job opportunities and personal growth within their company.
I applied to a job listing on indeed for an executive management position with Silver Lining Marketing Inc. with $75-100K compensation, which sounds great, right? You go through 3 rounds of interviews which end with an in-person interview with one of the âTeam Leadersâ and then their CEO. Everyone is SO nice and they do a great job of making the office feel âfun and supportiveâ. They donât give you the job on the spot but rather wait at least a day or two to contact you after your final interview, so it appears as though this is a competitive and desirable position. Once youâre hired the switch flips and youâre finally made aware that you will not reach the executive manager position for about a year and this is how they get you!
First you will start out in an entry level âtrainingâ position for about a month where the pay is a measly $12/hr, but you get 20% of one-time donations and 1X monthly donationsâŠwhich I donât know how anyone sees any of that âbonusâ money because they are still training and not âout in the fieldâ. It was at this point that I asked what âout in the fieldâ meant. I wrongfully assumed that in this position I would be doing event planning for galas, dinners, and any other kind of fundraising eventâŠbut man was I wrong! âOut in the fieldâ actually translated to going to Walmart, CVS, various grocery stores, ect for 8 hours with a clipboard and harassing strangers for donations to various non-profits. Thats how they make their âbonusesâ and I HIGHLY DOUBT that the people they coerced into donating their hard-earned money would still want to donate if they knew that approximately 40% of that donation would be going in to the pocket of a for-profit marketing firm. They have you wear clothing with the non-profitâs logo on it so that people think you work for the non-profit and they also tell you to never tell the donors that you take a (hefty) percentage of the money that they think is being donated in its entirety to the non-profit.
After about a month you move up to a leadership role. The leadership level is split in to 3 tiers; Jr. leader, Core leader, and Sr. leader. Youâre still making $12/hr by the way, BUT WAIT, now youâll get 20% of any one-time donations you 1.5X any monthly donations you receive. When you move to the Core leadership level you get a âgrowth bonusâ which I was told is $200, hooray?? Upon reaching the Sr. leadership role youâre still at $12/hr but now you get 20% of one-time donations and 2X monthly donations. According to the employee I spoke to, new employees typically spend around 16-20 weeks in this role. At this point you are responsible for set up and break down of âeventsâ in âthe fieldâ, your team of $12/hr cronies, and the money collected at the âeventsâ. To move to the next tier, which is assistant manager, one must first indoctrinate 4 other people and at least 1 of those 4 people has to make it to a Sr. leadership role. This means you have to get at least 4 more suckers to work for 12/hr before you can be promoted, is this starting to sound familiar? In addition to your recruitment goals, you must also get at least 10K in one-time donations and 1K in monthly donations for 2 weeks in a row.
When you get to the third level you become assistant manager and you are STILL MAKING $12/hr, but donât get your panties in a bunch because WOAH now youâre make 20% on one-time donations and 3X monthly donations. The assistant manager role typically last about 8-12 weeks and it is in this role that you learn the scripts and necessary brain-washing tools to start your very own MLM! The fourth and final level is executive manager and in this role youâre supposed to be making 75k-100k and be in charge of your own entire office of brainwashed underpaid employees and you get to rinse and repeat with all of the new hires.
These companies brainwash people in numerous ways. Every morning there is a meeting for an hour and half in which you stand up, yell mantras, clap, and get hyped up for a long day of skimming donations from various non-profit charities. They make sure everyone looks professional and has a âgood attitudeâ to prevent people from getting spooked or god forbid thinking for themselves long enough to realize that theyâre part of a pyramid scheme. How is this legal, you say!? Well, unfortunately it is legal but it absolutely should not be. See this particular company isnât making you buy a product and then sell said product to make money, no no no, instead this company hides behind the good names of the charities that it ârepresentsâ while skimming money off the top of each donation. The Charities are getting donations they otherwise wouldnât have so they're not motivated to do the necessary research in to the practices of the company that is paying them. I would also like to note that I donât think that all of the people that currently work for or have worked for Silver Lining Marketing Inc. are terrible, morally corrupt, individuals because they at their core victims of this heinous system that judicial system has allowed to persist. This company targets kind-hearted individuals that want to help charities, individuals who typically donât take a job just for the money. This allows them to guilt you in to working for an unlivable wage because, hey, you're making a difference and if you just work hard enough for a while then youâll make lots of money and get to start your very own business!
I watched a youtube video on pyramid/MLM schemes called âThe Slave Circle (Direct Marketing Devil Corp. Documentary)â and this video gave me the confidence I needed to tell the company that I would not work for them and why. I highly recommend watching the video if you think you might be falling prey to a company like Silver Lining Marketing Inc. Hereâs the link;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyCRzBt7GuY Additionally, the Lula rich docuseries on amazon prime is worth a watch.
Lastly, I would like to say that if you or someone you know has been a victim of a fucked MLM like this, donât turn to anger or vengeance. Donât let this discourage you, these companies are so sophisticated and have scripted responses for every possible situation. They prey on good people and you are not a bad person if you fall for it, just donât make that mistake again, learn from your errors, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post about your experience on reddit, glassdoor, and anywhere else you feel comfortable so that you can prevent others from falling victim to the same situation!!
I really hope this helps others and if anyone has any specific questions, let me know in the comments and Iâll try to check in every so often and answer them.

2024.05.16 04:57 Background_Baker3138 Joanâs career choice
Rewatching and Iâm on the episode where Joan discovers she doesnât want to be a lawyer anymore. In this episode we find out she has interest in fashion and decorating form her convo with William and her application to a fashion school. When she talks to the girls at the restaurant she mentions flipping houses and Toni shoots her down. I actually think that wouldâve been a better choice for Joan than a restaurant. The restaurant does get successful later but flipping houses wouldâve been great for both her and Toni. Toni could help sell them and theyâd both get profit. Plus it matches Joanâs interest better. Like she literally went to New Orleans to build houses and then helped her boyfriend remodel his house! I know sheâs shown to be a good cook but the restaurant didnât even hinge much on Joanâs cooking. Thoughts? What else do you think Joan wouldâve been good at doing after quitting the law?

2024.05.16 04:35 Fearless-Scar7086 Anyone still struggling with articles? Have any new/cool/cheap ones?
Hey yall, I have a confession to make.
I lost it all in bitcoin and now Iâm trying to make it as a struggling writer and I managed to buy all of my vowels but now I learned that they make you buy articles too?! Oy vey, and I JUST got my Brazilian butt lift which in hindsight I didnât really need but here in Peru it is kind of necessary if you donât have the local dialect down.
Anywho, now I need 3,000$ for the three articles (1,000 each of course) and I was able to find some Ebonics articles for cheap- deez, dose, dem, etc so I am writing about a gang in New Orleans using Ebonics prose who gives up being âhardâ to be Mormon stylized charity entertainers like Mr beast- which was more lucrative. Oh I am a Mormon.
But the problem is I was going to have them go on an excruciatingly detailed 5 chapter Mecca journey to Salt Lake City but that means they have to encounter white people! And they are going to all sound REAL strange without their articles. Personally, Iâm just using the google type subscription to use articles and vowels on the internet but I havenât bought any publishing word rights yet besides vowels. HALP!

2024.05.16 03:55 acutemisadventure Let's talk 2024 NFL & CFB bet strategies and hypothesis from what you learned from last year
I've been watching more nfl than cfb so I'll definitely be looking forward to hearing people's thoughts or expectations for the college world
- Actually have a strategy.
- No more 16+ leg parlays anymore...........unless if it's less than %10 of your roll' and even then I feel like they should be roundrobins
- I have this theory that incentives or game strategies can definitely correlate to play contracts in certain instances.
- Shedeur Sanders will crack 4k passing
- Last I ignored or chickened out on calling week one in the nfl. I made a video of it for the sub in last year so check it out. But here's how I think it'll go down. Mind this is what I think if 90% of key players are healthy throughout training camp and preseason:
Ravens over Chiefs. Why? They'll have a top legit run game and andrews will be 100%, passing game opens up and the D will be stronger than ever. Chiefs lose because of multiple new receivers, super bowl hangover and who gives a shit of they lose the first one
Eagles over Packets. Why? Eagles D will help carry them to victory. Hurts ability to run adds more dimension than Love. D line will feast on love. Close game. I think jacobs takes a step back or needs a few games to find his groove. I'd personally would go +12 Packets for wiggle room
Falcons over Steelers. Why? Cousins needs to prove to every person with higher percentages of melatonin in this home opener in ATL that he's not a scrub and that he earned his 100$ guaranteed contact. He has every weapon known to man to succeed on that team plus a not to shabby D. Steelers, Tomlin, Tomlinson, Wilson, WizKhalifa and Justin fields can kick rocks and get their wins after this game.
Cards over bills. Why? Mostly because idk why but figure out the finer details yourself. But seriously, I believe they won't be able to contain Kyler. He's got more to prove than Josh Allen and the bills finally having a full season back from injury. I'd argue the Cards D will be hungrier as well.
Bears over Titans. Why? Caleb Williams seems to be more mature and focused on success than what reports initially were. I think he's gotta play a lil hero ball but I think with the receivers and the D being near top 10 at the end of the season last year the make a statement to the city that Da Bears are back. Levis will have a good team behind but.. ehh.. I think the D let's him down. They'll be good after this first week
Bengals over Patriots. Why? Because Boston hates black people but jokes aside I hope I don't have to explain why.
Colts over Texans. And that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!!! I'd like to leave this one up for discussion but I just feel that texans have had everything go for them since last season. Tripping up week 1 wouldn't be a knock to them but I think the O coordinator for the colts, Richardson, Pittman and Taylor..uh.. actually never- mind the Texans win. I think it'll be an interesting match though.
Phins over Jags. Why? Because the women in south Beach are approximately 100x hotter than the ones in Jacksonville. I think speed kills. If the D can pressure Sunshine(can't think of his name) then it'll be though to win the in state battle.
Saints over panthers. Why? Because unless Bryson added 'growing 5 inches' to his off-season todo list or unless all New Orleans floods again then the opener is going to be hype and Carr needs to prove he's not a waste. Also Legette and his southern draw isn't going to draw up anything special to make Carolina magically win this game. I don't give a shit if he can run as fast as his horse qwatah hoaw Dolla Bill.
Vikings over Giants why? I hope I don't need to explain this.
Chargers over Raiders why? Idk why
Seahawks over broncos why? Either Sam Howell or Gen Smith and the receivers and D have absolutely no god(s) damn business losing to a rookie in Nix or Zach Wilson or even Stidham. Also, I don't have better reasons
Browns shit on the Cockboys/Cowgirls why? I really don't feel like typing anymore
Bucs over Commanders why? Last year I said to every Viking living Nordic person in a bar to not under estimate Baker. Quite honestly I don't think Dan Quinns strikes any fear into any teams expect maybe the giants from last year so why would a guy like Baker with a new contract and still a cup on his shoulder and a team with a mostly super bowl caliber players give a fuck now?
Lions over Rams why? Reference Falcons summary and partially the superbowl caliber type players reasoning from above
Jets over the 49ers why? Because Rodgers will be closer to Pacfic ocean. Why does this matter? 76% of the dolphins that used those high frequency sound waves will be in the Bay area that night. That's essentially the equivalent of Super Man fighting near the sun. Quite frankly I don't know how this is even remotely fair or legal. JETS D puts the clamps on the Shanahans scheme picks purdy a couple times, Rodgers throws around 250ish yards and Hall runs for atleast 75 yards and a TD
Would like to know what you guys think.

2024.05.16 03:39 xoxoReginaGoose Texts from Laura Owens (Claytonâs accuser) to Greg Gillespie, another man she accused of being the father of her unborn twins
| Before Clayton, there was Greg Gillespie â yet another victim of Laura Michelle Owens that she accused of being the father of her unborn twins and attempted to coerce into a romantic relationship in exchange for getting an abortion. Their encounter took place in June 2021 and Greg was tied up in legal battles and court proceedings through November 2023 that has cost him $100k+. The court documents from Owens v. Gillespie can be found on the JusticeForClayton wiki - Court Documents page so you can see the lengths that Laura has gone in order to further victimize Greg. She continues to try to pass off her arts and crafts as the work of Greg to explain her ever-expanding web of lies. The following are screenshots of messages that Laura Owens sent to Greg Gillespie from 5 separate numbers/email addresses between August 1 and August 24. The different colors are for the different emails/phone numbers that Laura used to contact Greg. The texts are further discussed in Dave Nealâs live There has been NO evidence or proof that Greg is a master hacker who can plant fake ultrasounds in Lauraâs sent emails/texts. Laura Owens is the one with a history of altering medical documents (which she admitted UNDER OATH) that have been used in court filings, which is the case with Owens v. Echard. Laura Owens has said that she didnât claim she was having twins with Greg and that he made it up. However, these messages show Laura referring to two babies and one âisnât doing wellâ, potentially due to the abortion pills that she (improperly) took. On August 6th, 2021, Greg recorded a phone call with Laura where she refers to two fetuses. The phone call can be found here. In that phone call, when Greg says that there is only one baby, LO says that she will send him a screenshot (this can be seen on slide 4). This screenshot shows the Fiverr logo that was uncovered during one of Dave Nealâs lives (same video as the texts discussed above) In Laura's complaint against Greg she claims she got pregnant on or around June 30th, 2021. The "ultrasounds" were allegedly done on August 6th and August 8th and are dated 5 weeks and 5 weeks 2 days gestational age. This is not how pregnancy dating works. The ultrasounds were allegedly done 5 weeks after their sexual encounter, but the pregnancy would be in the 7 week range at this point. Laura continues to not research what it's actually like to be pregnant. Two days later (August 8th), Laura contacts GG from yet another email address with a new ultrasound and a copy of the summons for the law suit she intends to file. The new ultrasound shows one fetus and in her texts she references losing the second fetus multiple times. A comparison of the two ultrasounds here. Did Greg also manufacture this conversation? The messages include the filing paperwork for the lawsuit SHE filed and includes a manifesto which lays out her case. What would Greg's motive be to fake this message? Worth noting: Laura's messages contain a double space after every period which is a common characteristic in her writing (and her mother's). This is not something we see in messages from GG. Not proof as Laura will just claim he faked her style, but still an interesting observation.
