Hp pavilion 751n audio driver

After troubleshooting blue screens of death, my HP Pavilion no longer recognizes my hard-drive after bios update.

2024.05.29 05:45 hexgirlfriend11 After troubleshooting blue screens of death, my HP Pavilion no longer recognizes my hard-drive after bios update.

Device: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-A0032d
So, the problems started last night when my computer kept shutting off in the middle of the game giving me the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH.

The first blue screen message was "Non-HP battery detected".... after a few consecutive startups and shut downs out of no where the new error message was just the basic "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart," the general BSOD.

So I trouble shoot this first issue, "Non-hp battery detected" online, one solution is to update BIOS, which I went ahead and did through the support assistant I believe. I restart my computer after this bios update. THEN I started getting the Boot Device Not Found (3f0) error, no longer being able to get into windows AT ALL.

I did EVERYTHING recommended for this, diagnosed everything in the UEFI and everything passed..... followed THIS HP GUIDE from top to bottom, all the way up to system recovery. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06101701
(if the link doesnt work, its just the customer advisory page for: HP Consumer Desktop PCs - Boot Device Not Found (3F0) or Automatic Repair Errors)
So, this final step is where I'm stuck. When I finally had no choice but to attempt to recover through the windows cloud recovery software that I uploaded onto 32gb usb, DOING EVERYTHING IM SUPPOSE TO, clicking esc, f9, boot with the usb, IM STUCK AT THE HP LOADING SCREEN, it doesn't go past the hp loading screen, in fact the little loading spinner spins for a few times then FREEZES lol. I've retried the process several times, even did "windows recovery" instead of trying to boot the system through a flash drive. I have NO IDEA what is going on

2024.05.29 05:39 NeoHyper64 Arcade1Up won't build it, so I did... Soul Calibur XL is here!

Arcade1Up won't build it, so I did... Soul Calibur XL is here!
Some of you may have seen me drop hints here and there (or a full preview on the Super Gameroom Dudes), but 4 months later, I've finally finished my biggest Arcade1Up mod project to-date:
Arcade1Up NBA Jam Shaq XL is now... Soul Calibur XL!
There's a lot that went into this cab, and I basically built the entire thing 2 or 3 times over because of all the trial-and-error as I used new tools, tried new materials, got measurements wrong, etc. It was FAR more complicated than my prior NeoGeo build, but the results are better, too. Here is where I ended up with what went into this beast.
Cabinet ($600):
  • This started life as a standard Arcade1Up NBA Jam Shaq XL cabinet. I didn't want that game, only the shell. So, I only assembled the frame of it.
Control Panel:
  • The 4-player deck was replaced with a fully custom 2-player deck of my own design. I started with a sloped, Midway-style design, but the angle wasn't comfortable for my height (I'm 6'2"), so I settled on a raised, flat design that felt much better. The whole thing is made of melamine-coated half-inch plywood, so it's super strong.
  • The entire deck slides over the factory frame, and re-uses a modified version of the Shaq XL sub-frame to provide full support from below. I also re-used the factory "shelf" with some adjustments (used spacers to make it higher, and moved the mounting poins out to the sides to allow more room for controls and wiring).
  • There's a piano hinge on the back that allows the deck to open so the joystick and button wiring can be accessed. There's also a wireless keyboard in case the PC needs to be controlled.
  • The top features an acrylic panel that was a bugger to measure and cut, but I finally got a version that's about 1/16-1/32" accurate in every dimension. It also attaches to the deck with 4 bolts, just like the Arcade1Up versions (though it's not strictly necessary, because unlike A1U plexi, I put the panel under the button surrounds like real arcades would do).
Art ($300):
  • I contacted several graphics vendors, but some never responded, and others didn't have any Shaq templates and didn't seem to want to get involved. But I'd used Escape Pod in the past with good results, and they had a Shaq template. They also had a Soul Calibur design they had used for a full-size cab. So, we collaborated, and they produced the custom art package that made this happen, including marquee with plexi, side panels, kick panel, and the entire control panel. They're great!
Monitor ($100), Mount + Bezel ($108):
  • Dell 20" 2007fpb 4:3 monitor came from eBay. It only has a DVI input for digital. Everything was de-cased, and the controls were screwed into the back. It's a great looking monitor!
  • Of course, Shaq comes with a crap 19" monitor, so the Dell is a definite upgrade, but not a 1:1 fit. So, I contacted Gus from Karv Design on Etsy, who had done work on my NeoGeo build, and he came through. He had never done a Shaq cab before, but I gave him the exact dimensions and he custom-built a monitor mount, and black acrylic bezel. I messed a few things, but his stuff was spot on! Can't recommend him highly enough!
Audio ($166):
  • Dayton Audio KAB-2150 2x150w Class D Amp ($30) and power supply ($35)
  • Visaton 3.3" speakers ($30) and grills ($11)
  • Powered subwoofer ($90)... this makes such a difference it's not even funny
  • I wanted a "stock" look with the audio and not get into making a custom panel, so I stuck with the same size speakers, but much better quality and power handling. The amplifier is admittedly overpowered for this project, but it had two, important features that were surprsingly hard to find: external controls AND a dedicated subwoofer output. This had both!
Controls ($86):
  • Industrias Lorenzo Eurostick (x2) ($34 total)
  • Happ Competition Pushbuttons (x16) ($34 total)
  • Easyget (Dragonrise) Zero Delay Encoders ($18)
  • I went through probably dozens of combinations of buttons and switches and ended up with something that has a shorter through and minimal click. I wanted a fast response. For the joysticks, I never considered anything other than ILs.
Games ($162):
  • I started with a Raspberry Pi 5, which WAS capable of running Soul Calibur I and II, but it was finnicky. The controllers would randomly disconnect, AND it has a stupid design that lacks an audio out, so I had to pickup an HDMI audio/video splitter that ended up not outputting the video signal accurately and decreased the audio out level significantly. It also added several extra wires. The Pi setup was a total PITA that cost me nearly $200 with everything it needed (board, case, cables, splitter, power supply, etc.).
  • SO... when DIY Retro Arcade started offering the pre-built Core i5 computer with "no junk" Batocera 38 build ($162), I jumped. And boy, was it worth it! The i5 is so much more capable, not to mention STABLE, and getting rid of the HDMI splitter reduced cable clutter AND improved the audio quality significantly! The Batocera build is really good, too! No junk, and lots of good stuff (yes, every Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, KI, NeoGeo, and other fighting game). This really makes the system.
Special ($152):
  • Faux Coin Door from Arcade1Up ($20)
  • Coin Door Lights from RETRO 530 ($21)
  • Isobar Surge Protector w/ Switch ($105)
  • Control Panel Hinge ($22)
  • LED Strip Light ($6)
Other Materials ($418+):
  • PVC Edge Banding ($20)
  • Melamine Edge Banding ($20)
  • Hand Roller ($9)
  • Side Edge Trimmer ($33)
  • Flush Cut Trimmers ($18)
  • Super 77 Adhesive ($12)
  • Planar Knives ($16)
  • Weatherstripping ($7)
  • L-Brackets ($12)
  • DP to DVI Cable ($12)
  • 12v Power Supply ($9)
  • Various bits, blades, screws, and tools (picked up here and there)... oh, and WOOD! Experimented with lots of MDF, melamine, and acryclic ($250+).
  • And many, many things I ended up not using (t-molding, Pi 5, arcade-spec power supply, lots of buttons, etc.)
Tools (N/A):
  • Some of these tools I had on hand, some I inherited, some I bought. But I used a lot of different stuff... table saw, radial-arm saw, jigsaw, circular saw, drill press, heat gun, iron, hand roller, T-squares, speed square, hand drill, power sander, drill driver, various clamps, X-acto knives, squeegee, various screwdrivers, hammer, tape measures, shop-vac, etc.
TOTAL COST: $2,092 (excluding most tools and everything I bought that didn't get used, or that was thrown out, etc.)

Would it have to cost this much? No. I'm not a woodworker or craftsperson, but I am a perfectionist. So, the two things combined meant everything took longer and cost more than it probably should. But I also don't think you could legitimately do this build for anything less than a grand, unless you happen to have everything you need sitting around (including a PC and monitor) and can get cheap art, etc. All told, it probably cost me at least $2,500 if I include things that didn't make it into the final product.
So, wouldn't it be better to just buy the real thing? That isn't the point. This is "built not bought" kind of thing. I wanted to see what I could do. And I wanted to prove what an XL could be... I think this did both. And I've owned a real arcade machine... tt was heavy, huge, and finnicky. Not again. And either way, good luck finding an original Soul Calibur machine. They weren't made in large numbers.
Why not just build your own? I could, but that also wasn't the point. Building from scratch is a whole other endeavor, whereas using an Arcade1Up means it "inherently" has Arcade1Up-style dimensions and will fit in with my other cabinets. I also just wanted to do something in the XL size.
Why Soul Calibur? It's a legit awesome game. It has a Metacritic score of 98, making it one of the highest scoring games of all time across all platforms and consoles. And it's easy for anyone to start playing. I have lots of fond memories playing on the Dreamcast, but with its very limited arcade exposure, there's less-than-zero chance Arcade1Up will ever make the game.
Why use the Dreamcast version instead of the arcade game? Surprisingly, Soul Calibur originally ran on Namco System 12 hardware, which was an upgrade of the Namco System 11 hardware that itself was based loosely on the original Playstation 1 hardware design. That meant the arcade version of Soul Calibur was actually worse than the Dreamcast version of the game that followed a year later. The Dreamcast version added better visuals and 3D backgrounds, along with a whole bunch of extra features. This was reported to be the first time a console game performed better than the arcade version upon which it was based.
Would you do it again? No, and also no. I proved it was possible and built the game I wanted in the way I wanted. And it plays great and looks cool. But it cost too much time and money. I learned a lot, and that was invaluable, so I recommend it on that level. Practically speaking, however, there's really no justification to do something like this again unless the market just completely fails to produce the products we want.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who made it this far. I have a lot more pics and some video, and am happy to answer any questions. I also want to thank all of the vendors who helped make this happen, as well as the kind words from PDubs and other supporters along the way.
So, now it's your turn, Arcade1Up... bring us the XLs!

From Shaq to the Legend That Will Never Die!

Yes, that's actually a light under the control deck illumuninating downward.

The edge banding on the control panel mirrors the factory A1U edge banding.

Yes, the entire control panel lifts up to access the controls!

The top panel has audio controls, lighting control, and a master power switch.

Behind the marquee is a powerful amp, upgraded speakers, and full tone controls.

Yep, those are Happ ILs (and that's a piano hinge across the back).

The full back section, complete with acoustic stuffing up top and a subwoofer down below. That's a custom shelf for the PC, too.

A look inside showing inside the control panel from the back.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!

2024.05.29 05:38 matreddit1995 can a damaged motherboard onboard audio cause randomly audio popping / crackling?

Hello
i have a b550m gaming plus and i´ve hearing some rare crackling / popping noises ( rare to diagnose)
i did not change anything on my system yet i hear the popping
Is there a way to test the motherboard audio or is there something that i could do to diagnose better?
it doesn´t follow a pattern , it just happens randomly
I´ve checked motherboard traces and they are apparently ok ( as well as motherboard overall status)
my cpu is ryzen 7 5700x and 16gb ram 3200 mhz no OC (system has no oc at all)
also latest drivers
Thanks

2024.05.29 05:16 Champuted Audio in left ear much quieter and muffled than the right.

There is no option to balance the left and right audio for me
I'm having an issue that randomly started a couple of days ago where the audio in the left side of my headphones sounds more muffled and significantly quieter than the right. I have tried other headphones and they all have the same issue.
I have done everything I can think of to solve this problem to no avail. The way I have it setup is that I plug in my headphones through my external microphone's headphone jack to receive output. I have tested that it's not a hardware issue because I still have the problem when plugging my headphones directly into my computer's headphone jack. I have also reinstalled audio/video drivers, updated the bios and drivers, updated any microphone firmware (to make sure it wasn't the microphone causing the issue). I don't have the option to balance or manually change left/right audio as prefaced in the beginning.
I would really like to solve this without having to factory reset my computer. If anyone can help it would be very greatly appreciated!

2024.05.29 04:53 cookiezaremine Touch pad removal

Touch pad removal
My cursor keeps teleporting to the calender, even with no input. It’s been doing this non stop, I’ve restarted and checked for viruses, none worked. I looked up a tutorial but none came up, and the ones that did required me to remove half of the laptop itself when it’s just a touch pad. Anyone have advice of how to take it off or fix it? It’s a 2018 HP Pavilion laptop, if that helps.
Extra info: I’m not using a mouse at all, my Bluetooth isn’t connected either so that isn’t an option

2024.05.29 04:48 Croue Opinions on current factions and skills

Wall of text warning: I was writing a comment on another post but I figured I'd just make my own topic on it with my full thoughts on each faction and their skills, balancing, etc, after about 20 hours of playing (enough to get a decent idea). Personally I don't feel like any particular faction is especially strong currently and I think the balance of the factions is actually pretty decent overall.
Cleaners are the weakest by far (not very far, though) and seem to suffer from some confused design choices. The Firebomb is great for punishing bunched enemies or denying area but this is a ranged game at the core so it often is completely useless on many maps or just makes you vulnerable if you try to use it aggressively, and particularly in mobile modes like Escort where there is high kill turnover and less opportunity for anyone to keep a strong foothold. The Incendiary Drone is decent, does what it should, not a lot to say about it. Strong alternative skill to Firebomb for mobile modes. Their Incendiary Ammo is a bit useless in a vacuum due to the nature of the TTK because most of the time it will not result in a kill you wouldn't have already gotten and it doesn't deal enough damage on its own to really speed up the TTK in any meaningful way. You still have to shoot someone the same number of times to get a kill and if you stop shooting to let the DOT tick instead you'll just die. On top of that, Incendiary Ammo actually reduces your weapon optimal range, and as mentioned before, this is typically a ranged game. The Incendiary Ammo shines more in situations where someone is running away and a teammate can finish them off instead since then it may have done enough damage or canceled their regen enough. It seems as though the Incendiary Ammo might be meant to offer a counter to Libertad's healing-oriented skills but it usually doesn't make a great deal of difference even there. Weirdly, the best weapons for taking advantage of Incendiary Ammo are snipers since it more or less guarantees a kill no matter where you hit someone with the Tac-50 even if it's a leg or arm shot, and guarantees a kill with the M44 in the body, in spite of the "reduced range". Personally the times I've seen Incendiary Ammo end up killing me is right after I had already killed them first anyways, so it was more of a kill guarantee after death than a true advantage in the fight itself. The Cleaners are still playable, just kinda why would you choose them over anything else if you aren't playing them because you like them. Also the Cleaner ultra is ridiculous if you get in a good spot to use it because it instantly kills anyone you hit but again its range makes you vulnerable. The Cleaners biggest strength at the moment seems to be that they have messed up hitboxes, honestly. I think that the Cleaners really need some kind of help on their skills as they are now, they are weirdly situational and difficult to safely employ, but I suppose that is the real philosophy of the Cleaners as it is, they run around with explosive tanks on their backs that instantly kill them in The Division so an exploding flaming firebomber that may or may not live through their skill is oddly appropriate.
Echelon is strong by nature of being a crutch. Intel Suit lets the enemy team know you're nearby and can see them thanks to the notification, smart/skilled players will just listen for you and it's not a huge advantage against them, below average players won't pay attention to it though and it's quite strong against players that don't have good audio or are unaware of where their flanks are. However, the main advantage of the Intel Suit is that it reveals the enemies for your whole team no matter where they are. While you have to be in closer range to detect enemies with it, your teammates can be on the opposite side of the map and still see exactly where the enemy is which is a massive advantage. Digital Ghillie Suit is honestly a pretty balanced skill, someone paying attention will still notice you and Intel Suit counters it (weirdly, same faction counter) but it has a lot of outplay potential and lets you reposition or get into weird spots that the enemy team might not expect if they are distracted. It offers a similar advantage that Phantoms skills do in that it can easily be used to disengage a losing gunfight back into your advantage for a kill instead. Not much wrong with it, it's a well designed skill-expression skill. Echelon passive is kind of whatever, I don't feel like it's a great advantage because it gives you no direct benefit in a gunfight or even while traversing the map most of the time, it's another thing that is strong against unaware or distracted players. The Echelon ultra is of course quite strong in even an average-skilled players hands thanks to real-time wallhacks and a Golden Gun, although the sound it makes and sonar waves effects do put a bit of a target on you and sometimes the OHK gun doesn't actually get a OHK (somehow) but even being guaranteed just 2-3 kills for the duration is still enough to wipe an objective and some players will even try to hide from it. Echelon is overall a strong faction to use against players that are worse than you (likely why it is the most popular faction seemingly at the moment) but it doesn't provide any major meaningful advantage against equal or more skilled players since that will come down to your more practical gunfighting skills instead the majority of the time. Digital Ghillie offers some potential to outplay even skilled opponents but aside from that their skills heavily depend on their opponents being distracted to take advantage of them fully. Given that, the faction is pretty well balanced even with multiple players spamming Intel Suits on one team, since it only offers opportunities, it doesn't exploit them for you.
Phantoms are my personal favorite faction because I feel as though they have the widest degree of skill expression over any of the others. Mag Barrier used smartly can completely turn a lost gunfight around in your favor, especially if there is a choke point or corner you can use to make enemies chase you. Mag Barrier is one of the few skills in the game that is actually a punish skill when you use it correctly by letting an enemy get caught out if they try to ego on you or think they are winning the fight. That's on top of everything else it does. The EMP grenade is only a "counter" to it if someone is mindlessly spamming it because when used correctly you don't have time to throw an EMP grenade. You would have to pre-emptively EMP the Phantom player for every encounter if they use it well and that's not very feasible in a dynamic scenario. That said, Mag Barrier is fairly weak in terms of pure cover and a determined player can chew through it in a few seconds if you carelessly use it without exploiting the advantage it gives, or grenades can be thrown around it, enemies can run through it, its strength comes down entirely to the user. Blitz Shield is also a strong punish skill but currently the way player collision works makes it difficult to use against anyone that is experienced or skilled because no enemy player collision means they can jump through you. You can't really use the shield to turtle 1v1s since enemies can just run through and behind you, even if you're in a corner. Most players won't do this or know it's possible, so it can be a bit of a crutch against less skilled players at least. The Blitz Shield is mainly strong for punishing around corners if someone chases you since you can typically swap to it fast enough to surprise them before they get around the corner. It's also good for absorbing damage at range or aggressively disrupting enemy players on an objective for your team to pick off but that depends a lot on how good your team is and less on the shield itself. Phantoms passive is honestly extremely strong, and IMO the best passive in the game currently. Having 20 more health is massive when 110 damage OHK body shots exist since it allows you to survive hits no other faction can and combined with the other skills it offers retaliation and outplay potential no other faction has. The Phantom ultra is a bit mediocre in terms of kill potential, due to lack of range or mobility, vulnerable to grenades, and various other problems that come with moving slow and telegraphing yourself to the entire map as a giant target. The ultra's primary purpose is of course simply being a big shield to deny area to the enemy team or offer your team a safe place to stand on objectives for pushes. The Phantoms are a well-balanced and strong faction currently that offers a lot to players that know how to take advantage of their skills properly.
Libertad is probably the most well-balanced faction in the game at the moment. It's very straightforward and easy to grasp for players of all skill levels and doesn't depend on a lot of gun skill, map knowledge, or general experience to perform decently. Since none of their skills are directly offensive, they are easy to employ in a variety of situations, like fortifying an objective or pre-emptively giving your teammates an advantage for a push, refreshing a teammate after a close gunfight, using mid-gunfight for a surprise comeback, etc. El Remedio is such a strong heal that it can greatly increase your EHP in a straight gunfight to the point you need multiple extra hits to kill if the enemy misses any shots, and if you manage to break contact with them briefly you can set up the heal on yourself for a surprise punish similar to the Phantom Mag Barrier. It forces the enemy to decide if they try to kill you or break the canister first and assuming you are equally skilled, you will usually end up winning the 1v1. The main downside to El Remedio is its fairly long cooldown so you have to use it smartly or else you won't have it for major moments when your team might have needed it. It's strong and has some skill expression to it in a variety of ways. BioVida Boost is one-time instant version of El Remedio with similar uses, but it works much better with a unified team push and has a shorter cooldown which makes it much more useful for a more mobile style of play. Not only that but its heal is essentially instant, again being very strong if you manage to break contact for a moment in a gunfight to come back with full health before the enemy got their natural regen. Libertad's passive has no strings attached, simply natural regen with no downtime for you and any teammates near you, doesn't require you to do anything and is always active which makes it great for people of all skill levels since it's always being taken advantage of. The Libertad ultra is literally just an even bigger version of El Remedio that also increases your and teammates max HP massively, it can guarantee a last second payload push or let you lock down a critical objective to break out a losing zone match. Libertad is generally the best faction for anyone that's really new or isn't that great at FPS games since it doesn't depend on your technical skill too much aside from simply staying alive to give your team a constant advantage. Another nice thing about Libertad is they synergize incredibly well with the Phantoms' huge health pool. The only outstanding weakness of Libertad is the old classic: your teammates. It has very little potential to actually carry and under focused fire their healing is pretty irrelevant so you're not exactly going to go tank a payload by yourself. Even with the ultra on, a single person can chew through it and kill you if you give them long enough (not very long).
I've not gotten to play around a ton with DedSec yet but my initial impression is that they are very similar to Phantoms in terms of skill expression and offer a ton of flexibility that other factions don't have through being able to hack enemy deployables and regenerating devices. I would not call them imbalanced, but I do think they are the one faction that currently does lean the most into that because they counter every single other faction. Being able to shut off enemy skills and ultras is huge, even if it takes their own ultra to do it. But you are effectively turning everyone on the enemy team into the Rookie from Rainbow Six Siege temporarily while all the players on your team get to keep their skills. If you have multiple DedSec players on your team and properly chain the ultras then you are looking at a free objective push every single time. The Spiderbot is fairly alright, but it's currently bugged and sometimes enemy players can't destroy it properly which makes it stronger than it actually is, and that's on top of it taking more than one hit to kill anyways which I personally think shouldn't be a thing either. In its current state it is basically a guaranteed kill on anyone you hit with it if you use it aggressively, though, and I do think it should be adjusted in some way after they fix the desync issues with it. Hijack isn't always super relevant because at the moment deployables aren't very long-lived or common, but being able to flip a Phantom Mag Barrier is wildly strong and is the only counter play to a choke point punish in that it punishes the punish. Hijack is fairly useless though if the enemy team all happen to pick Echelon or Cleaners (which is a fair possibility). I think the skill is still a good skill expression skill and fine, though. The DedSec passive is unsurprisingly very strong because being able to throw two proximity mines on an objective or get multiple uses of grenades is obviously something no other faction can do and those things are one per life for a reason. The passive doesn't benefit if you don't live long enough to use it, though, so it can be kinda useless depending on the situation: if you never throw your grenade or mine, the passive literally does nothing. DedSec is currently in a very strong state overall, while I wouldn't say it's imbalanced, it's definitely one of the better factions if only for the fact it can shut off every enemy skill and ultra and has a way to essentially guarantee a kill.
If I had to "tier" each faction in terms of their effectiveness in a vacuum regardless of skill, I'd probably rank them (from best to worst): DedSec > Phantoms/Echelon > Libertad > Cleaners. But that is a very shallow slope with all factions being very much viable to play and do well with.
All of this is also given without thought to the current state of weapon balance generally speaking, while I do feel that Phantoms have a particular advantage currently due to the prevalence of Tac-50s. Echelon's Digital Ghillie also helps them get in close to employ some of the better weapons in the game currently like the MP7 or double barrel. DedSec's spiderbot sets them up for kills with all kinds of weapons, particularly the Tac-50. I don't see any of these skills being worse off without the existence of those weapons, however.
If I were to speculate on any adjustments that should be made: Spiderbots need to be fixed ASAP so they always properly appear on the targets screen to destroy them (not really an "adjustment", a bug fix). Libertad needs some kind of light buff in my opinion, maybe a bonus effect on a skill like slightly increasing max HP (good to help deal with prevalence of OHK snipers) or an alternate mode that poisons or debuffs enemies (Viviro would make sense because it's the chemical weapon made by the same company in Far Cry 6). Cleaners need a little bit of help, maybe allow them to also select Molotov cocktails as grenades that make small fire puddles that aren't quite as strong as their skills as a form of area denial to sort of solidify their "stay the fuck away from me" presence as a faction. The big one people talk about is the Intel Suit for Echelon but I honestly don't see much issue with this. The game literally highlights enemies for you already as it is, seeing them through walls briefly isn't a huge stretch when you can already hear people running around anyways since (thank god) we don't have anything like Dead Silence/Ninja/Covert Sneakers in this game. Echelon is a noob stomping faction and that's why it's generally popular right now but I think once more people get access to DedSec we will start to see more of them instead.
Anyways, that's all for today. I do really hope Ubi upkeeps this game well and makes smart balancing decisions that keep the game fun and engaging without oversimplifying or nerfing anything for the sake of salty people. If it were up to me, they'd reduce the TTK to 4 body shots max like original COD4 and then we'd really be cooking (after they fix the netcode, that is). Also hoping for The Division themselves to be introduced as a playable faction with deployable drones or even seeker mines...

2024.05.29 04:38 gnit0 Audio volume cutting in and out (Muting) Dynaudio

My Dynaudio audio keeps ?Muting? at random, sometimes constant and sometimes every few seconds. Volume level does not matter, source does not matter. I cannot figure this out for the life of me. Even with Stock Radio this happens.
I've inspected the amps electronics and everything seems fine, nothing blown. I've replaced every single internal and external Fuse (Prev owner did not maintain the vehicle well) but not the relays, New battery (Costco H6 AGM), Tried every radio configuration settings on the Android head unit (built in amp on and off). I ordered a replacement BCM off ebay today in hopes that its just dying because of other faults I've seen (image below)
does anyone have any idea what could cause this and how I may be able to fix it? I have OBDEleven Pro if that helps.

2024.05.29 04:23 derpyderp3213 Microphone on Wired Headset Will Not Detect on Windows 11

I have a Lenovo Legion PC that I got in 2020 and when Windows 11 came out I updated to that. I recently got a new wired headset a friend recommended to me. The audio is honestly amazing but, my main issue is that the microphone will not detect at all. I have been literally everywhere in my sound settings that people recommend but every time I go to advanced settings the input device is just not there. The microphone is detachable and I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in a million times on top of just unplugging and replugging the whole headset and plugging it into different jacks and it changes nothing. I even redownloaded my audio driver but it still won't show up. I'm at my wit's end and I seriously just don't know what to do. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My Dynaudio audio keeps ?Muting? at random, sometimes constant and sometimes every few seconds. Volume level does not matter, source does not matter. I cannot figure this out for the life of me. Even with Stock Radio this happens.
I've inspected the amps electronics and everything seems fine, nothing blown. I've replaced every single internal and external Fuse (Prev owner did not maintain the vehicle well) but not the relays, New battery (Costco H6 AGM), Tried every radio configuration settings on the Android head unit (built in amp on and off). The left speaker of my 2023 Zephyrus is much quieter than the right. Any ideas for a fix?
Restarting and hardware resetting seem to fix the issue, but only for a day or two. Reinstalling any audio driver doesn't seem to fix it. The speaker connector doesn't appear loose on the inside. I'm torn between whether it's a hardware or software issue. Any help would be appreciated!

2024.05.29 03:28 G-Sus_714 Lost audio when I replaced the HDD with an SSD

So I have an older desktop of my dads that I've been using as my living room setup for netflix and such. Its an ASUS prebuilt with an AMD A-10 7800. The hdd was a toshiba, and I replaced it with a teamgroup vulcan z. When the old HDD is plugged in audio works fine, when the ssd is plugged in, no audio devices.
I've tried uninstalling drivers, and reisntalling, both in manage devices and directly from the asus website.
Any leads or ideas would be amazing, I can always put the old HDD in, but its so fast with the ssd if I can get audio to work.

2024.05.29 03:19 CocaineTwink Boomhauer Stopped from Smashing Car Windows, Threatens Me Over It

The post about “this man is kidnapping a child” reminded me of this, because he wanted to be the big hero and got denied. It would’ve been late summeearly fall of 2016, because my twins were just a couple of months old.
I nearly had a boomer smash in my car windows because my ex had run into Walmart and left me and my infant twins in the car (which was running with AC on). The kids are finally sleeping. I’m sitting there, playing on my Gameboy. Some old man walks up, starts hollering at his wife to record because there’s babies alone in a car and he’s gonna free them, blah blah blah dumb parents leaving kids in hot cars to die. Again, running with AC on, and he never once checked the front to see if any adults were in the car.
I flew up out of the driver’s seat and told him to back the fuck away before the cops hauled him away for vandalism and child endangerment, ‘cause a couple babies don’t need glass raining on them. He called me a bitch, presumably because I ruined his big hero moment, and started in on leaving kids in hot cars and threatening me over it. Paraphrasing because the twins will be 8 soon and my memory blows, but I basically said “bro, are you too fucking stupid to realize the AC is running and the car is on with an adult in it?” He spewed some more BS and threatened to call the cops on me. For what, sitting in my car that I legally own with kids that have my name on their birth certificates and enjoying AC in a vehicle for the first time in my life? Told him go ahead, but made sure he knew my dash cam picked up audio. (For reference, my state is single party consent, so cops couldn’t have done a thing about the fact that I record everything.)
I probably took it too far when I sarcastically apologized to his wife that I wasn’t in the mood for violence that day. Paraphrasing again, but vibe was “Telling your boss some rando absolutely annihilated your brain dead husband would’ve definitely scored you a few days off work.” My ex came out around then, and boy was she pissed at me for waking up the twins. 😅
On the way home, she had my back after getting the full story and called Boomhauer some interesting names.

2024.05.29 03:10 Fake_plastic_rhino My rig…..

My rig…..
My rig isn’t exactly where I want it to be….. however, I am pretty proud of what I’ve accomplished with it so far….
The effect loops are and amps are ran to the side of the board through 2 4Xmods The board is a temple audio trio 43. That way I can unplug the board and take it anywhere. Then plug the amps into the sides and it just be super clean.
Morley ABC box feeds into mini Marshall Silver Jubilee, fender bass breaker, Marshall SV20
The jubilee has a boss RV6 in the effects loop.
Then in the front of the jubilee I’ve got a tube screamer, MXR FET driver, keeley katana, Morley volume/wah.
The bassbreaker has a ditto looper in front, and a MXR chorus, and boss DD in the effect loop.
The SV20 I have a DL4 for a looper in front and run it dry.
I’m chasing Eric Johnsons rig, but in a smaller home setup.
I want to get 2 loop switches. 1 for a dirty Rhythm for the fender, so I can go from clean to dirty. Then another one for the SV20 to go from a fuzz face and delay to dry.
Most of the time I loop clean on the fender and then switch to the jubilee for soloing. I’ll add the SV20 in and it really bring in the bottom end on the lead sound.
The jubilee doesn’t have the bottom end the plexi has.
Contemplating on switching the bassbreaker out for a deluxe reverb or a 2X12 deville. It’s not as bright as other fenders I’ve owned even though it has a bright switch. Even thought about swapping it for a supersonic 22.
I hope to have everything sorted out by Christmas.
Anyways….. roast away or feel free to ask any questions

2024.05.29 02:50 Collinnn1 Solutions for using Focusrire 4i4 ASIO drivers on FL Studio running with wine?

HI all. I have some hardware which i want to use for audio recording and loopback on FL Studio. Specifically, a Scarlet 4i4, and a Shure X2U mic. Both are class compliant and work fine on native linux software, but when I try to use the focusrite ASIO In FL Studio, which is running in wine, I am coming across issues, specifically, my 4i4 is showing up under DirectSound Devices, instead of ASIO Devices.
https://preview.redd.it/w9r0zotzi93d1.png?width=875&format=png&auto=webp&s=4cc178a2e8242929a8015ca7d7f754e8d2d0f0a9
Additionally, when I use the DirectSound version, the audio is horrendously distorted and unusable.
Anybody have any solutions for this? I am pretty new to linux, and I'm on the newest version of cinnamon mint. I have heard a lot about wineASIO when researching this myself, but I've also come across a lot of useless information as well, so I am unsure about downloading software off an internet browser.

2024.05.29 02:29 Patient-Simple-8126 Input Audio Glitching, NOT Buffer or Sample Rate Issue. Affecting Livelihood, Please Help

Hello,
I have been recording with a microphone, with all of the hardware listed at the bottom, for years without a problem. Only recently, when arming a track to record, did I notice this problem: My microphone quality when coming through Ableton suddenly sounds horrible; with a very quality-compressed, glitchy sound and frequent audio dropouts. At first, I assumed it was a buffer size problem because I've experienced the buffer size being at the wrong level before. However, after researching through multiple articles and changing and trying the sample rate and buffer size at every option and combination imaginable, I have realized that CHANGING BUFFER SIZE AND SAMPLE RATE DO NOT CHANGE OR FIX THE ISSUE.
For some reason, the microphone and interface just sound absolutely terrible when inputting into Ableton. I have tested them both out on other programs on the mac; for instance I recorded audio on OBS (screen-record application), and the audio sounds perfectly fine on everything besides Ableton. I have attached a video comparison of how the audio sounds anywhere else (in this case, OBS), compared to how bad it's sounding thru Ableton.
I've Tried so Far:
I am at my wits end because all the sources I've read online just almost always say that the solution is "change your buffer size or sample rate" and that does not fix my problem.
Obviously I'm on a mac so it's just running through CoreAudio, and theres no ASIO drivers or anything that need to be updated. Recording and engineering is my livelihood and I do not know what else to do to fix this issue, please help.
My Hardware:
USB-C connected third-gen Scarlett 2i2. There is a OC-16 Microphone connected in input 1 with an XLR Cable. There are Kali speaker monitors connected, and a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-m50x Headphones in the headphone port.
The mac is a 2023 M2 Macbook Pro

2024.05.29 02:07 KarmaIsSmexy audio is buggy?

Hello, my girlfriend's computer has recently been having this audio issue (see video) and the audio seems to be stuttery? glitchy? laggy? basically, it just doesn't seem to be normal. We've done many things such as reinstall windows, uninstall then reinstall both the audio and bluetooth drivers, see if cords were broken, and changed values to the highest (don't remember what exactly, I think it was the audio hertz?) She uses Bluetooth headphones, as well as a speaker. However, Bluetooth on it's own seems to be fine as she also uses a Bluetooth mouse but that isn't "choppy" at all. Audio doesn't come from her monitor so there's no way to test if it's the things connected to the PC, or itself. The headphones and speaker work fine on her phone so it's something related to her computer for sure. We're so stumped and don't quite have the money for repairs so we were wondering if anyone here knows at all what we could do, or just what the issue could be? Her OS is windows 11 if that helps. Thank you!

2024.05.29 01:50 AdmiralGriggs232 Need Help!

Hi, so my company I'm working for is shutting down and was selling their VR's for a super cheap price. So, I was lucky enough to get one of them, and it looks good! It's a HTC Vive Pro 2 Headset with everything with it.
So, here's my problem. I only have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop, 16-a0xxx gpu, and I've been trying to hook it up all afternoon. I think the only problem is the display port, mainly because I'm not too sure if my laptop has one (I'm sorry I don't know, I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to this sorta stuff). Could someone please help me figure out what I need to start even trying to enjoy this vr headset, or should I just sell it and get something else?
