There was zero irritation around the spot, other than some redness, nothing extending like a rash or anything indicative of an allergic reaction, no hives and no itch. It wasn’t painful, but was sore to the touch. Being human, I googled “Apple Watch wound” and the photos that came up all looked exactly like what was on my wrist and said their watch had burned them.
So I reached out to Apple, assuming there must be something malfunctioning on the watch itself. When I gave the reason for my call I was immediately told I’d need to speak to a “senior safety technician” and was transferred. He was nice enough, but asked me about a dozen questions about the “irritation spot” (he never used the word burn or wound), my personal medical history (any history of allergies, eczema, or skin conditions) and asked for photos of the wound as well as a clear photo of the front and back of my watch. I was told he’d send the report to their advanced engineering department for investigation. I found it a little odd that they didn’t have me do any kind of diagnostics with the watch, but he told me someone would call me back Tuesday and I thought maybe that was when we’d go through some diagnostic steps.
Cut to today, the same person called me back to tell me it had been determined that what likely happened is I’m having an allergic reaction to something in the watch itself, and/or some kind of irritant got onto the back of the watch and I need to clean it “better”. I’m a little offended because I wasn’t seeking their opinion on the wound itself, if it gets concerning I’ll reach out to an actual doctor, not an engineering technician who is only looking at a photo.
I told him I am only reaching out to Apple to have them investigate potential issues with the actual watch, and I find it unreasonable that they can tell me there’s nothing wrong with the watch because they looked at a picture of the front and back, and didn’t check it in person or run any kind of diagnostics. He said if it made me feel better, he’d set me up with an in person appointment at an Apple Store to have the watch checked in person.
I am concerned that they are going to look at the watch and claim there is nothing wrong with it. I haven’t been wearing it because I want to let the spot heal, which it is, and I know that I can’t operate on what if’s. I guess what I’m looking for is advice on anything I should or shouldn’t do or say. I don’t want to forfeit any future liability against them should something happen again with the same watch, but I also am not looking to start some huge class action lawsuit. I honestly just want to be able to wear and use my watch again without worrying that it’s going to harm me. I just get the feeling they won’t admit to any kind of problem with the watch because then they’d be admitting liability to the wound, and I’m stuck with a watch I either can’t wear anymore or will wear but it’ll potentially continue to cause physical issues.
I did not go to the doctor, because it’s a mild wound and doesn’t appear infected. It’s healing and I’m keeping it clean.
Watch is an Apple Watch series 9 45mm GPS purchased from Apple in September 2023. I wear it with a braided solo loop band purchased with the watch and I always wear it in the same spot on my left wrist, for about 12-14 hours per day since I got it without any issues or signs of skin irritation. I do not sleep, shower, swim, or exercise with it on. Prior to this I had a series 6 that I wore the same way on the same wrist for about 2-3 years. I did try wearing it on my right wrist the day after this happened, and noticed a red spot where the face makes contact after about an hour so I took it off. I will say, though, it’s much more snug on my right wrist than my left. The watch is still under warranty with Apple Care+. I clean it about once a week with a microfiber cloth, and do not use any kind of cleaning agents on it.
I am located in Michigan, if that matters.

We all know the general rule about extended warranties. We all go in there ready to decline. But at some point it's worth it.
And there's something that I don't think people think of when it comes to weighing this. People think why would they do $1000 if on the average you're going to need $1000+ of service in the future, they'd lose money! But that would be overlooking the fact they don't charge themselves to repair your car, it costs them a small fraction of that $1000+ you would have had to pay. So that means that they can sell you an extended warranty for a price that you're slated to use all of on the average, but that from their point of view (using their in-house repair costs) still makes money. Both sides can win.
I had plans to wait until the base warranty was up and then shop around for one, but this seems pretty good, no? I'm not even a peace of mind guy, I will take my chances for sure. But I am the type to pay hundreds of dollars to fix some little thing that could easily be ignored; I like fixing everything.

I gave a new Pixel 7a that is about 25 days out of the box. I had a 7a for about 9 months prior to this, that I ended up dropping and breaking by accident (I am normally quite careful with my phones). I have not dropped this new one.
I almost always used my pixel stand to wirelessly charge it. About a week or two ago I turned off adaptive charging and did the settings setup for the "fast wireless charging" or whatever the stand kept prompting me to do with this new phone. I don't think I ever did either with my previous 7a.
Last week I let the battery die completely, which I don't normally do. When I went to put it on the wireless charger it wouldn't charge. Which I thought was odd since it supposed to work even when the phone is off, but I figured maybe it was too low and needed the cable. So I plug in the cable. Still nothing. So I go grab the original and official charging cable from the box (still had it sitting around). Still nothing.
Finally figured out that (for whatever reason) I can get the phone to charge when connected to my PC. But it only charges slow (it literally says "xx% - Charging Slowly". And only my PC.
Also, in the last couple of days the microphone has become really spotty. When I am on calls my voice goes normal volume to very, very soft and in-and-out like that periodically, per the other callers. I first got complaints of this a couple weeks ago before any charging issues, but it was in-frequent enough I brushed it off as a bad connection or something. But it is happening almost every call the last handful of days.
I purchased from Best Buy with no warranty, so the return policy was 15 days. But when I went in I even heard one manager say to another that the device was likely defective (they didn't examine, so who knows if they're correct), but they couldn't return due to the policy.
Any idea what is going on or tips please? I would greatly appreciate it.

So I’m into a 2024 Outback Premium with the 11 inch display. Do I need to add the extended warranty to cover all the electronics, etc beyond the first 3 years?
I plan on this being my last car as I’m 62. I do want to travel via car, but as for mileage I will keep it low otherwise.

So the first time I sent my z13 back to asus, it was 5 months old and couldnt keep the battery charged while gaming, they said the battery was faulty so replaced it and the gpu as well. So since then 7 months later, been working well. Now the keyboard hinge is failing (it now only works if its flat, rather than raised and snapped together).
I sent an RMA request and they accepted it, they picked it up today, I gave them a description of the issue. Now my warranty was about to expire before I took out the extended warranty. I am glad I did purchase the extended deal, a replacement dockable asus keyboard is like £300 new.
I did see warnings that people have had the same issues (on this reddit) with the hinge being so small and prone to failiure, that it might wear the cable out, just literally 1 week after the original warranty expired, the cover started failing to work.
Well here we go again. I love my unit, but it is a pain in the ass for technology.

Thinking of buying Audi service plan “All-in” for a 6 year old car , are there any catches? My car is 2017 Q5, and I was considering the all-in due to it’s included 2 year warranty, my concern is that it’s too good to be true I.e. the plan is cheaper than the extended 2 year warranty from Audi.

With summer actually upon us, we thought it would be a great time to let everyone know about Tenant's Rights to have a Portable Cooling Unit! As a reminder, SETA is not a law firm, and any information and resources we provide should not be considered legal advice!
Between May 1st and September 31st, landlords cannot outright ban Portable Cooling Units for Tenants! There are a lot of guidelines, so here is our breakdown!
Which Portable Cooling Devices can a landlord restrict? Note, the following are the restrictions a landlord CAN impose. If a landlord hasn't outlined a restriction in writing, it is unenforceable. Additionally, landlords MUST include with any written restrictions whether they will operate a community cooling space on/near the premises when an extreme heat event for the county of the premises occurs.
Installation Restrictions:

• Any device that would damage the premises, puncture the envelope of the building, or requires brackets or other hardware which would damage or void the warranty of a window or frame
• Any device that would violate building codes or state/federal law, or violate the device manufacturer's written safety guidelines
• Any device that is not adequately drained to prevent damage
• Any device that would require the removal of historical architectural features on historic buildings

Safety Restrictions:

• Any device that would block a necessary egress from the dwelling unit or the device would interfere with the Tenant's ability to lock a window if the window is accessible from the outside
• Any device that is not properly installed in a manner that prevents risk of falling
  • Landlords are not responsible for damage/harm caused by falling units if installed by the tenant
• Any device that would require amperage to power the device that cannot be accommodated by the power service to the building, unit, or circuit
  • Landlord must prioritize allowing use of Portable Cooling Devices for any tenants who require a reasonable accommodation for a portable cooling device. Landlord is not responsible for power outages that occur due to Portable Cooling Devices under these circumstances.

What can a landlord require in order for a tenant to have a Portable Cooling Device?

• Installation be performed by the landlord or agent of the landlord
• Inspections and servicing of the portable unit by the landlord or agent of the landlord

Notices of Termination Related to Violations of Restrictions:

• If the tenant receives a notice of violation regarding any restrictions on portable cooling devices by a landlord AND there are days designated as extreme heat events during the notice period, then:
  • The date of the termination AND the deadline of a cure period (the time allowed for a tenant to end the violation and stop a termination from occurring) will be extended by one day for each day there is an extreme heat event

Hello, first of all i want to thank anyone willing to offer help. I have an Altima that has had transmission issues for 6 months to a year. I’ve had to stop driving it. It’s sitting in my driveway because i can’t afford to fix it. When i called Nissan it was 7-8k+ to replace it. I can’t afford that in cash and don’t have the credit to finance it on my own. It has a warranty that was extended but I’m not certain it will cover it, and I’m pretty sure it won’t pay it upfront. The warranty ends in the next month or two. Will Nissan help me finance it with awful credit?

I'll try to keep this short. I purchased a legion 7 laptop back in 2021 from a coworker. He owned the laptop for approx. 8 months before I bought it from him. The laptop still had a valid 1 year warranty (which I confirmed at time of purchase), and remained valid, when a few months later I purchased a full extended warranty for an additional 3 years. All was good as the warranty was added to the product and I have my invoices for the extended warranty purchase. Another note that the warranty follows the laptop and not the original buyer, so I would have no issues there.
That is until mid 2023 when I attempted to make a warranty claim repair (approx. 18 months after the laptop was originally purchased and 6 months after my extended warranty purchase), Lenovo randomly voided my extended warranty a couple months before without informing me.
I called Lenovo back in September and was assured it was a mistake and my warranty should be readded within a few days. So I wait. 1 week. 2 weeks. Nothing. So I call back again and am assured the same thing, so I wait again.
It's now been 8 months of this and I still do not have the warranty added back on, and no reason as to why. I'm literally on the phone right now and the agent can't even give me a reason why, and there's nothing they can do. I've tried escalating this with multiple supervisors and departments, but I end up just getting ghosted and I have to start the process all over again.
So I've had enough. They gladly took my $400 for the extended warranty, but won't honour it. I'll be filing in small claims court against Lenovo Canada as I'm out of options at this point.

Just bought CPO 2021 Nissan Rogue with 25k miles. Dealer offered extended bumper-to-bumper coverage on the balance of manufacturers powertrain warranty (7 years/ 100,000 miles - so about 3.5 years left) for $2,800. Seems steep. What have others paid for extended warranty?

I am going to buy my first car either baleno or i20. Baleno comes with 2 year warranty and i20 comes with 3 years. Should I purchase extended warranty though I have added add ons in the insurance ( RTI & 0 Dep). Please suggest
