Mid-40s 8 Months Post Op Double Jaw

2024.05.16 09:55 UnableAssist3089 Mid-40s 8 Months Post Op Double Jaw

Posting because I don't see many people posting months out about their experience nor people out of their 20s.
If you are wondering if you need this procedure or "should get it," talk to medical professionals as this is a serious medical procedure.
Eight months post op double jaw surgery and here's where I'm at:
I sleep much better.
The movement in my upper and lower jaw feels like a lot (you could fit the old position of my upper teeth directly behind where they are now... odd to think about. Fell asleep in the living room around others on Thanksgiving (about two months after surgery) and, after waking, was told that I didn't snore... even a little bit. My sleep is generally more restful and if it's feeling disordered, is most likely due to stress, caffeine intake, etc.
I still have numbness / tingling / sensory issues.
I am still experiencing numbness in my teeth, gums, chin, lips, and the "smile lines" area. My Invaslign trays tend to exacerbate this. Massage (including lymphatic drainage) have definitely seemed to help me as has avoiding hard food (even at 8 months things like tortilla chips are uncomfortable). As the months have gone on, the numbness has lessoned a great deal and things are feeling more "normal". Also, my last Invisalign scan seemed to yield trays with a better fit and wearing them these last few months was not the challenge it was in the immediate aftermath of the surgery.
The facial changes are real.
I was feeling cute before surgery: to have a new face (one that I didn't "design" in advance) was a lot to handle as the swelling lessened and I could begin to see what I might look like. Yes, things have settled (it takes a long while for swelling to go down), but my face definitely has a "new" feel. Part of this is the natural process of healing tissue and me acclimating to the (honestly) minor changes. My nose is straighter, my jaw more prominent and, honestly, my second face it is not bad at all.

Can wrinkles around the eyes be removed? How can they be removed?
Wrinkles around the eyes can be effectively alleviated. Through medical aesthetics, the treatment of eye wrinkles is fast in effect and obvious in results, and is the preferred choice for many beauty-conscious people. Generally, four anti-wrinkle methods are commonly used in medical aesthetics:
https://i.redd.it/e4199jsamq0d1.gif
  1. Collagen anti-wrinkle
Collagen is a high molecular protein, and the filamentous collagen fibers can keep the skin firm and elastic. Collagen, together with elastic fibers, forms a network support structure, providing a stable and powerful support for the dermis layer. By injecting collagen, the capacity of skin tissue can be increased, thereby playing a role in filling and smoothing wrinkles, which is a better anti-wrinkle injection material and can effectively deal with static wrinkles and dynamic wrinkles.
  1. Botulinum toxin anti-wrinkle
Botulinum toxin is a nerve conduction blocker, which can block the connection between nerves and muscles, so it can be used to fade expression wrinkles, which are dynamic wrinkles. It usually takes a week to two weeks to take effect after injection.
  1. Hyaluronic acid injection
Hyaluronic acid is hyaluronic acid, which is injected into the skin folds and depressions in the dermis to achieve the effect of filling wrinkles. It is mainly used to remove static wrinkles, but cannot remove dynamic wrinkles.
  1. Gold micro-needle anti-wrinkle
. The Gold Micro-Needle is a device used for skin tightening, which aims to improve overall sagging of the face, making the facial skin tight, moist, and radiant, and used to remove static wrinkles.

Ayurvedic Self-Massage Techniques for Better Sleep

In today's hectic world, achieving quality sleep can sometimes feel like a luxury. With the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to overlook the importance of restorative rest. However, Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers timeless wisdom on holistic health practices, including techniques for promoting better sleep through self-massage. Regardless of age, incorporating these Ayurvedic practices into your bedtime routine can help the way for deep, comfortable sleep. Consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor in Prayagraj can provide personalized guidance tailored to your needs, ensuring you derive maximum benefit from these ancient practices.
Understanding Ayurvedic Self-Massage
It's crucial to understand the principles behind Ayurvedic self-massage, especially in Naturopathy in Prayagraj. According to Ayurveda, the body is composed of three doshas – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha – each representing different elements and qualities. Imbalances in these doshas can lead to various health issues, including sleep disturbances. Self-massage helps balance the doshas, promoting relaxation and aiding in better sleep.
The Role of Self-Massage in Ayurveda:
Self-massage, known as Abhyanga in Ayurveda, is considered a vital aspect of daily self-care. It involves massaging warm oil onto the body using gentle, rhythmic strokes. This practice not only nourishes the skin but also calms the mind, balances the doshas, and promotes overall well-being, including better sleep.
Simple Ayurvedic Self-Massage Techniques:
  1. Choose the Right Oil: Begin by selecting a suitable massage oil based on your dosha type or specific needs. For Vata individuals, opt for warm sesame or almond oil to ground and soothe. Pitta types may benefit from cooling coconut or sunflower oil, while Kapha types can invigorate with warming oils like mustard or sesame.
  2. Create a Serene Environment: Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. Dim the lights, play soft music, and ensure the room temperature is warm enough to facilitate relaxation. Creating a calm atmosphere sets the stage for a deeply regenerating self-massage experience.
  3. Warm the Oil: Gently heat the chosen oil until it reaches a comfortably warm temperature, as advised by experts at the Ayurvedic treatment center in Prayagraj. Avoid overheating to prevent burns.
  4. Begin at the Scalp: Start by applying a small amount of oil to your scalp and massaging in circular motions using your fingertips. This helps release tension and promotes mental relaxation.
  5. Move to the Face: Massage your face with upward strokes, paying attention to the forehead, temples, and jawline. This can alleviate facial tension and promote a sense of calm.
  6. Don't Forget the Ears:The ears are often overlooked in self-massage routines, but they hold tension that can interfere with sleep. Apply a few drops of oil to your fingertips and massage your earlobes, outer ears, and behind the ears using circular motions. Massaging the ears stimulates acupressure points associated with relaxation, helping quiet the mind for a peaceful night's sleep.
  7. Move Down to the Neck and Shoulders:The neck and shoulders are common areas of tension, especially for those who spend long hours sitting at a desk or staring at screens. Warm up some oil in your palms and apply it to your neck and shoulders. Use long, sweeping strokes to massage these areas, applying firm but gentle pressure to release any knots or tightness. Focus on breathing deeply as you massage, allowing the tension to melt away with each exhale.
  8. Focus on the Body: Remember to apply more oil to your body and massage in long, sweeping strokes along the limbs and torso. Use circular motions on the joints and abdomen to stimulate circulation and aid digestion. And if you're experiencing any discomfort, be sure to consult a Doctor for slip disc in Prayagraj for professional advice.
  9. Pay Attention to Feet and Hands: Spend extra time massaging your feet and hands, as these areas contain numerous pressure points linked to relaxation and sleep.
  10. Finish with Self-Care: After the massage, allow the oil to penetrate your skin for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off in a warm shower or bath. Pat yourself dry gently to retain moisture.
Benefits of Ayurvedic Self-Massage for Better Sleep:
  • Relaxation: The gentle, repetitive motions of self-massage help relax the muscles and calm the nervous system, preparing the body and mind for restful sleep.
  • Stress Reduction: By promoting relaxation and reducing stress hormone levels, self-massage can alleviate stress and anxiety, common factors of sleep disturbances.
  • Improved Circulation: Massaging the body stimulates blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues and promoting relaxation.
  • Balanced Doshas: Abhyanga helps balance the doshas, addressing underlying imbalances that may contribute to sleep issues.
  • Enhanced Sleep Quality: With regular practice, Ayurvedic self-massage can lead to deeper, more relaxing sleep, leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed every morning.
Conclusion:
Incorporating Ayurvedic self-massage techniques, as practiced in the renowned Ayurvedic hospital in Prayagraj, into your bedtime routine can be a game-changer for anyone seeking better sleep quality. By nurturing the body, calming the mind, and balancing the doshas, this ancient practice offers a natural and holistic approach to achieving delightful sleep. So, whether you're 20 or 80, why not enjoy the refreshing benefits of Ayurvedic self-massage tonight? Your body and mind will thank you for it.

2024.05.16 04:45 semiurge D20x5 Staristocrats of the Faufreluchean Future

Inspired by Solomon VK's Faufreluche posts.
D20 This staristocrat's badge of office
1 is a golden diadem which projects a hologram of Old Sol from its highest tine, as well as the rest of Man's Cradle-System orbiting about it.
2 is a hideous diamondoid mask made in the image of an alien demi-god from whom their esteemed house claims descent.
3 is an auroran magneto-cloth cape which flares with the oscillations of subtle fields.
4 is a porous meteoric amulet that echoes with the music of the spheres.
5 is a blade of enchained magnetic monopoles channeling ouroboric tangles of plasma - ever-glowing, their patterned glows expressing the cyclical yet self-degrading nature of the cosmos, able to cut through all but the most unnaturally enforced materials.
6 is a scepter containing a degenerate micro-verse within its topping globe.
7 is a battered helmet pulled from the suit of one of the first humans to reach outer space.
8 is a battle standard bearing the heraldry of their family, and topped with the head of a lion, preserved and animated to roaring unlife by cybernetic tubes woven through its flesh and bone.
9 is a halo of abstract mathematics, written directly on the fabric of space-time rather than mere matter.
10 is a pauldron of fused silicon, the remains of an artificial intelligence which almost overcame humanity.
11 is a dilating-lens lantern of an indestructible, orange-green alloy - fully unleashed, its actinic brilliance can guide in a ship from high orbit.
12 is a vial of their own, genetically-perfected blood, crystallized into a ruby-like gem.
13 is a crown of golden rings hovering about each other, each engraved with the zodiac of a different solar system.
14 is a famous artifact of Earth preserved within a temporal stasis-orb.
15 is a set of infrasonic pan pipes that can manipulate the minds of men and machine alike.
16 is a holy book written by the first settler of their world, in an eclectic script unreadable by anyone yet living.
17 is a shield with a brazen, hypercubic boss and a rippling purplish forcefield about.
18 is a labrys bearing edges honed to subatomic sharpness with whetstones hewn from the preternaturally dense heart of a collapsed star.
19 is a bowl holding a fractal bonzai grafted with branches of every fruit-bearing tree of humanity's homeworld.
20 is the head-sized smaragdine egg of some voidborne beast, the inevitable hatching of which is said to herald the end of the universe.
D20 This staristocrat's holdings
1 lie under a dimming sun, weakened by its fusion-harvest which forms the foundation of the staristocrat's wealth.
2 contain no life-bearing worlds, its population sustained only by technocratic hydro-pneumatic despotism.
3 bear the glassy-green sheen and asymmetrical mutations left by ancient nuclear war.
4 are mineral-rich but poor in organics and water, expending most of their export-wealth on life-giving imports just to survive.
5 produce a unique and inimitable spice, and are thus coveted by an extra-solar rival.
6 are either watery or gaseous, with dry, solid ground an unimaginable luxury - the populace living on great rafts or aerostats.
7 have recently absorbed a mass of refugees fleeing a black swan xeno-threat.
8 were enclosed from the common space of comet-cowboys, who plague it with their raids to this day.
9 are nestled among the ruins of an extinct alien civilization, probed only gently for fear of waking their automatic guardians.
10 are slowly but surely having their life-giving atmospheres stripped away by the rapacious solar wind of their red gigantism-suffering sun.
11 are deliberately kept ignorant of the wider galactic community to reduce their capacity to revolt, and so that the ruling class can portray themselves as deific through their technological capabilities.
12 are undergoing a long and delicate process of terraforming which structures cultural and religious cycles around these artificial seasons and critical thresholds.
13 are overgrown with a police state only nominally under the staristocrat's authority, and the computational bureaucracy that's arisen to process all their surveillance.
14 are infamous for their permissiveness, and abound in every sort of vice.
15 are torn apart on a planetary scale for the sake of resource-harvest and industry, and what unruptured ground exists is blanketed in choking smog outside sealed habitats.
16 were recently seized from a treasonous vassal and bestowed upon this staristocrat - the old holder's sympathizers still lurk within the population, evading the claws of inquisition.
17 exist mostly fictitiously, as moving shell-games of companies and titles.
18 are centered on an ecumenopolis with some roads paved with stones hewn before humanity's ancestors came down from the trees - its corners hide occultic dens of our darkest imaginings.
19 are generally scorching, deserts or liquid hells, their structures mirrored and extending tubes of heat exchanges and radiators like a seraphim wings.
20 are verdant in all forms of life - none go hungry, yet many are eaten, and a clan of masked physicians go about the populace to rebuke the tides of plague.
D20 This staristocrat is attended by
1 a harem of genetically-engineered Willendorfian Venuses, bearing a continuous stream of heirs who will duel over the matter of their inheritance in the arena of their crèche.
2 artful historians hunchbent over data-tablets, preserving every moment and detail of the staristocrat's life in imperishable crystalline records.
3 nigh-invisible bodyguards swaddled in light-bending metamaterial cloaks, heat haze auras ready to strike down any offense against their master.
4 clanking cyborg-knights - behind their cuirasses are tanks preserving the most loyal and chivalrous parts of their mortal brains.
5 slaves bearing explosive collars - the tribute of many conquered worlds.
6 a squadron of musclebound eunuch-janissaries raised from childhood with size- and strength-stimulating hormones and non-stop brainwashing.
7 clones of themself educated according to various traditions as diverse yet biologically-partial advisors.
8 the cryogenically-preserved heads of their forefathers, which sometimes dispense shivering, crackling counsel.
9 hovering laser-turrets fitted with targeting algorithms able to anticipate their master's desire to kill before it's consciously felt.
10 an enormous parrot with impeccable skill at mimicry, whose mind has been overwritten with every song recorded by humanity up until the time of its creation.
11 a pair of titanic wolfdogs, with metallic teeth that could rend apart a tank and hides that have turned aside artillery-shells.
12 the plush animatronic companion of their childhood, its digital personality updated to be a competent advisor.
13 a caste of butlers who've served their family for generations, bred like pedigreed dogs.
14 a choir singing their praises, the choir's lungs replaced with cybernetic jet-intakes slatted between ribs, so that they might sing unceasing.
15 a former whipping boy, their oldest friend, bearing the delicate scars of tremendously sophisticated tortures.
16 tumbling jesters dressed in patchworks of impossible colours captured from the coronas of half-real suns.
17 technotheologic angels dancing through the air on wings of incandescent blazons.
18 abductees from primitive worlds fitted with neural implants which make them believe they are simply in an extended dream.
19 a team of chefs who can prepare the delicacies of a dozen worlds, never repeating the same twice in their master's lifetime.
20 grey masters of anagathic science, whisper-arguing over the injections and ointments that will quicken them a while longer.
D20 This staristocrat's court
1 is entertained by a vapourous alien intelligence which takes possession of lesser courtiers through a fanciful hookah.
2 has its lesser members partially memory-wiped when they attend it - able to recall their skills, yet unable to remember much of their own identities, and so how to apply those skills for personal benefit.
3 is deliberately, performatively humble, held in barns and suchlike.
4 is overlooked by a cine-dome showing stars, moons, and constellations in fortuitous alignments.
5 is addicted to novelty, and constantly seeks new performances and grotesques.
6 is made up nepotistically of their siblings who did not win the contest to inherit the throne.
7 are waited on hand and foot by fragile ceramic robots imprinted with the tightly-enchained engrams of political criminals.
8 takes place entirely remotely - members are provided radio-devices with frequencies that trigger voice-like vibrations in great bells this staristocrat is in the constant presence of.
9 were at first ironically and now legitimately entranced by a bloody cult of sacrifice and agonies.
10 has been forced to accept elected representatives from among the populace by a revolt - to the grumblings of those who attained their positions through inheritance.
11 is wracked by a scandal involving mistresses overspending from public coffers.
12 is perpetually-wrapped in augmented-reality projections of mythic mimesis.
13 is burrowed among the roots of the biggest mountain of their throne-world, so that it could survive all but the most devastating attacks.
14 are all accompanied by a member of an order of courtesan-assassins implanted with acid-glands in case their charge shows overt disloyalty.
15 solve disputes among themselves with duels, and drill daily with various weapons and fighting styles.
16 is held within a hollow pyramid, with this staristocrat at the top point and many stairs and levels filtering petitioners between them and the entrance at the base.
17 is largely taken over by a conspiracy to poison this staristocrat, and even the uninvolved have begun to circle like vultures.
18 is a ring of stone thrones built to scale with the renown of the one who sits upon them - this staristocrat themself sits like a small child on a throne fit for giants - their seneschal on a stool.
19 is held around a colosseum, where gladiators and vicious alien beasts fight for their amusement and haruspexies.
20 is itinerant, a grand airship which hovers above the realms of hosting vavasours.
D20 This staristocrat's noble flaw
1 is hubris - they believe they can become like God by funding breakneck scientific process.
2 is bravery - they will fight to the last in the face of overwhelming odds, even if better options present themselves.
3 is honour - their thinking is rigid and totally un-utilitarian.
4 is generousity - they give without thinking, disrupting economies and fostering dependence with their largesse.
5 is parental love - they spoil their children on a terrible, cosmic scale.
6 is a thirst for justice - a continent has burned due to their need for a punishment fitting a truly awful crime.
7 is filial piety - their increasingly-senile dowager-mother has them tied around her bony finger.
8 is tolerance - they've cultivated cosmopolitan communities, yet failed to confront division and rising extremism.
9 is an aesthetic sense that is souring into decadence.
10 is persistence - they are a dogged obsessive.
11 is realpolitik - they've alienated possible allies with ruthlessness.
12 is faith - they lean often into outright zealotry.
13 is cautiousness - they often dive into outright paranoia.
14 is competitiveness - they're innovative, but often only in the tortures applied to defeated rivals.
15 is cleanliness - they have advanced to a purgative germaphobia.
16 is contentment - they have come to peace with all things, even if others demand their action.
17 is honesty - they will never lie, even if it benefits them and their people.
18 is is humility - they are overly-convinced of their own incapacity.
19 is romantic love - their spouse manipulates them to their knowledge yet total acquiescence.
20 is imagination - their fancies often end up unproductive or outright destructive.

Just got a 2024 RX350h premium plus. Thought I’d share some accessories and ideas I bought for her
So I just purchased the 2014 RX350h premium plus and just spent some time accessorizing her. I don’t want to junk up the car with crazy items I want to keep it clean, organized and classy so kept items very basic and neutral. I think you have to scroll to the left to “see” all pics
  1. Weathertech floor mats-never owned a car with these. Love them!
  2. Cup coasters in front and back seat cup holders
  3. Flat leather like trash bag for back seat. Don’t like the big bulky bags
  4. Sunglass visor magnetic holders. Like these better than using the actual sunglass holder
  5. Car insurance and registration thing for glove compartment
  6. Cylinder tissue holder for door slot along with cylinder mini trash for receipts and straw wrappers
  7. Screen protector. I went with the Spigen brand
  8. I hate the charger built in doesn’t work very well in my opinion so bought a lightening charger that sits flush with out thing that works really well and charges super fast
  9. I wanted to organize my middle console and front tray area. I used GUM packages to organize this area which fit like a glove in the front area. Along with my hand sanitizer and a screen cleaner thing
  10. My middle console I used clear acrylic bins to organize the items I wanted quick grab access to

How did Kim Kardashian appear before?
The Kardashians’ signature beauty has captivated audiences for years. US Weekly sheds light on a potential contributor: Dr. Jason Diamond, a Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon. Diamond reportedly utilizes collagen production treatments for skin tightening, a procedure many of his patients undergo. This focus on collagen is said to play a significant role in achieving the Kardashian’s youthful and radiant appearance.
Another technique gaining attention is “Face Shaping,” a non-surgical method that reportedly reshapes facial features to achieve the desired “golden ratio.” While this treatment involves facial bones and tissues, it’s claimed to be non-invasive. For those seeking to emulate the Kardashian aesthetic, Dr. Diamond suggests a combination of these procedures.

What is the timeline of Kim Kardashian’s cosmetic enhancements?

Kim Kardashian’s ever-evolving beauty continues to spark debate. While plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer suggests potential procedures like fillers and tightening treatments, Kim maintains she uses minimal intervention like Botox and denies having undergone rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, or liposuction.
Experts like Dr. Shafer analyze changes in Kim’s cheeks, lips, and eye area, pointing towards possible fillers and volume-enhancing treatments. However, Kim consistently refutes these claims, crediting makeup artistry for her current look.

2024.05.15 09:06 DrCharbelMedawar Dr Charbel Medawar Addresses your Rhinoplasty Concerns as You Mature

Dr Charbel Medawar Addresses your Rhinoplasty Concerns as You Mature
Rhinoplasty, while offering long-lasting results, doesn’t freeze time. As we age, our facial features subtly change, including the nose. However, with realistic expectations and proper planning, rhinoplasty can remain a beautiful and functional choice throughout your life.
Let’s explore your questions about aging and Rhinoplasty in the context of Beirut, Lebanon, and the wider Middle East region:
What happens to my nose as I age?
As the supporting tissues weaken, the nose may slightly widen or droop. This is a natural process, independent of whether you’ve had Rhinoplasty.
Will my Rhinoplasty results change with age?
Generally, the reshaped bone and cartilage remain stable. However, minor changes in the surrounding tissues can subtly affect the overall appearance.

Should I wait until I’m older to get Rhinoplasty?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some prioritize addressing concerns early, while others prefer waiting until their facial features have matured. Discuss your goals and timeline with a qualified surgeon like myself during a consultation.
Does having Rhinoplasty young affect how my nose ages?
Not necessarily. Skilled surgeons consider future growth and aging patterns when designing the new nose, aiming for a result that complements your changing face.
https://preview.redd.it/2t53mz4rhj0d1.jpg?width=3264&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7974cb61b0833f43b0c30b529889766b0e949ce
Can I get revisions later in life to address age-related changes?
Minor adjustments are sometimes possible to maintain harmony with your maturing features. However, extensive revisions are complex and may not achieve the original result.
Is Rhinoplasty safe for older patients?
Generally, age alone isn’t a barrier. However, your overall health and specific medical history will be carefully evaluated to ensure a safe procedure.

2024.05.15 04:55 BettyBlue1122 Septoplasty and mini FESS preparation

Hi all,
I'm about to get a Septoplasty and mini FESS (to remove a fungal ball that's been causing chronic sinusitis).
I just want to see if there's anything I should add to help with recovery. I've done some research but want to make sure I haven't missed anything.
So far I have - Humidifier (I also have a range of essential oils if anyone would recommend I use any?) - Lip chap - Tissues - Panadol (Australia's Tylenol) and ibuprofen - Lots of pillows - Nasal aspirator (like used for babies) - Q tips, facial cleaning wipes and cotton pads - Loose, comfy clothes. All freshly washed - Microwave meals, I've opted for all softer meals and soups. - Lots of ice packs - Bottled water
Thanks everyone!

Side/main character additions for my book Anastasius!
Hello everyone! I’m running something for my book that I’m sure you’ll enjoy! I’m writing a book titled Anastasius which is Greek for Renewal. But I was thinking of a fun way to raise money for the book and a fun way to interact with potential readers! So I was thinking, if I give the characters who will be in my book, perhaps there could be a fundraiser for this! It will be $10 USD per character and there is no limit to how many characters you’d like! I’ll post the sheet for each character and you can pick and choose which tribe you’d like create your own character! If you have anymore questions I’ll be happy to answer! I take payments through PayPal as it’s the only thing I understand how to use!
Creatures of Renewal:
As written by Wyvern Scholars
Amphiptere:
Amphipteres generally were said to have light-colored feathers like a sunrise, a serpentine body, bat-like wings with feathers covering most of the forearm and often greenish in coloration, and a long tail much like a wyvern's tail. Others are described as covered in feathers with a spiked tail, bird-like wings, and a beak-like snout.
These small dragons are known to go after smaller prey like rodents and birds, as their habitatsavanna's heat, leavingrests. However, large colonies have been known to live in constructed settlements. Still, any knowledge of a leader has yet to be discovered. It has been rumored that the Amphiptere changes leaders when either the current one dies or willingly gives up the position of tribal leader.
Habitat: Forests, Jungles, or the forested remnants of human cities.
Arctic Dragon:
These giant, wooly dragons stand five feet taller than the most significant polar bears; their powerful muscles and jet-black skin under their blueish-white fur dominate most northern regions. Human settlements are where they prowl, waiting for humans hidden in these desolate territories for the perfect time to strike. These areas are far too cold for most dragons. Still, the Arctic dragon has adapted to survive in these brutal conditions. However, females only move southwards when their young are ready to be born. Once the younglings are old enough to walk short distances independently, the mother and cub begin trekking back toward the tundra.
Diet: These dragons hunt down various arctic prey, ranging from the smallest Arctic hares to the giant whales. Anything these dragons can get their talons on is food to them. Although young Arctic dragons do not have the speed or endurance their parents have, they rely on their parents to bring them back something they can eat.
Coatyl: The most noticeable feature of Coatyls is the feathered wings. These wings comprise a humerus connected to a radius and an ulna connected to metacarpals. The wings of a Coatyl allow it to fly, which is the primary method of locomotion. In unbonded Coatyls, the scapulars and front feathers are dark green, the covert feathers are light yellow or tan, and the primary and secondary flight feathers are red. Coatyls have pressurized sacs in the back of the mouth of a highly volatile and slightly acidic chemical known as coatalic acid. When threatened, muscles surrounding these sacs contract, pushing the coatalic acid out of small holes in the mouth and spraying it. When it comes into contact with air, coatalic acid undergoes a chemical reaction that causes it to ignite and become highly adhesive, sticking to whatever it lands on.
Diet: Coatyls primarily prey on small rodents like mice or rats. Coatyls cannot bite or tear their food to pieces, so they instead swallow their prey whole. They can do this as the upper and lower jaws of a Coatyl are not rigidly attached and have multiple joints, allowing them to open their mouths wide enough to swallow prey whole. While digesting food, Coatyls will typically avoid trying to fly and will instead travel along the ground.
Habitat: These dragons are usually found in the same territories as the Amphiptere. However, these Coatyls have been seen further south in the rainforests due to being more of a tropical species. Their size makes them easy prey for larger animals if they are not careful.
Dragon:
The Western European kind, with four legs, two wings, and (usually) fiery breath. Depending on how the work classifies things, these may be the only ones called "dragons." Otherwise, they're typically called authentic, Western, or European dragons. The Western dragon tends to be massive and heavy, with sharp claws and bat-like wings. They are usually with reptile features but may also have fur or feathers. Sometimes dark colored but always shiny. Some have forked tongues, others crests, fringes, or some other adornment. It always has the ability to spew forth blazing fire and fumes. In the West, dragons live in caves or mountain dwellers and predators. Cave dweller dragons stay in the coldness of the dark most of the time. The caves, filled with fire and water, are easily guarded and located close to towns, where food is convenient. Mountain predators live in cave-riddled mountains that provide an invincible tower and protection.
Diet: Western dragons tend to be considered carnivores. They like meat, flesh, and blood as their primary food source and are too fussy about the source. Sheep, cows, oxen, lions, elephants, or even humans, anything of a reasonable size and with warm blood and flesh to feast on, are their primary food sources. However, dragons haven’t shown a preference for the age or gender of humans. One interesting thing to note is that although they eat the flesh, they have a particular taste for blood. Sometimes, when in need of a quick burst of energy, they will only drink the blood of their prey and leave the flesh. This is seen as barbaric by most other species of dragons. Still, with western dragons being the second largest species, we tend not to mess with them and their dietary habits.
Drake: The drake is a dragon with four limbs, much like a lizard, although usually far more significant in size than the average lizard. A potent example of a drake in the natural world is the Komodo Dragon, a large species of minotaur lizard in Indonesia. These creatures have low-slung bodies, like crocodiles and alligators, with bellies across the ground. However, due to their natural habitat and human greed, wild drakes have been increasingly difficult to get notes from and other scholars to talk with. Drakes who are found are highly hostile and not open much to talking, but with enough food and gold, these dragons could easily talk your ear off.
Diet: These family-oriented dragons hunt together in packs; their size and numbers are easily strong enough to take down small herds of water buffalo, wildebeests, elk, and moose.
Feydragons: These dragons are about the size of a cat, each having an iridescent coat of scales that reflected all colors of the rainbow, predominantly reflecting one particular color, which changed with age. They had a long, prehensile tail and platinum-colored, butterfly-like wings. Like true dragons, faerie dragons grew stronger with age but matured much more quickly and lived shorter lives. Because their predominant scale hue ran the colors of the rainbow over their lifetime, their color directly indicated their age and power. The scales of a young hatchling were almost always red, and those of a fully mature dragon (over 50 years old) were violet. Most dragons leave these small ones alone because it is not worth expending calories to catch these little critters. But these small dragons are known across the globe for their beautiful woven tapestries and the symphonies they create with their wings.
Diet: Their diet mainly consists of small bugs caught in the air, from trees and bushes, and off the ground. They also fed on fruits, berries, nectar, and butterflies, which they ate to get the color and look of their wings.
Sea Orc: A Sea Orc has no arms or legs. It sports fins on the top portion and every few meters across its body, including one long fin that runs from the bottom of its head to its tail. A Sea Orc has little in the way of bones; it slithers through the waters like a snake. This assists the Sea Orc in attacking its prey. Sea Orc eggs cannot be fertilized in deep water, and smaller Sea Orcs cannot survive the pressure. Adult Sea Orcs have to head to shallower waters to mate. It is believed that the Sea Orc typically goes to warmer climates for mating.
Female Sea Orcs lay their eggs at the shoreline, close enough to the surface to be safe from the environmental killers but far enough from the water line that the parents can still protect their offspring. The eggs will grow for several months and will be born after size months.
Diet: These massive beasts eat mostly fish and aquatic life, anything they can catch; on rare occasions, they will eat a dragon, but that only happens when a rowdy juvenile dragon decides to go after a Sea Orcs calf.
Wyvern: The Wyvern is about the same size as the Arctic dragon, though in weight, they are closer to their brother, the Drake. The Wyvern is a two-legged dragon with two wings. They are believed to be faster than the more enormous Dragon. Their head is large and round, and they have a more petite mouth than most dragons. The body is thick but with a soft underbelly. The tail of the Wyvern is the most deadly. It is long serpentlike with a large mass at the end. They can also have a load of spikes within the ball or a significant spike at the top. The Wyvern uses this ball as its primary weapon, capable of smashing through most creatures, including other dragon's scales.
For its size, the Wyvern holds a large amount of weight. Most of this weight is within its thick scales. Anyone who has fought a Wyvern will inform you that getting through their body is next to impossible. The scales overlap several times, and underneath them is a thin net of tissue that absorbs impact and is resistant to being cut.
Diet: Moose, Elk, and Caribou are everyday staples of a wyvern diet, although anything that moves fits the wyvern needs as they have to eat at least 400 pounds of food every three days.
Humans: Not much is left from humans after they destroyed themselves; greed took out most of them, and the explosions hurt the rest. Humans have flocked to their caves deep in the ground. Most dragons leave humans alone, but humans have tried to take back their world a few times, but us dragons have quickly stamped out those little uprisings. Although some dragons keep humans as pets, their crafty little grabbers are relatively good at crafting the little things they need. Some dragons keep them for wealth status, and others just eat them for a rare treat.
Prey animals: Not much needs to be said here; anything a dragon can catch and eat is a prey animal.

2024.05.14 19:59 arty_ms Poshmark Support WTF?!

Are there any actual living people at PM Support? This is just a rant because ultimately the issues I’m describing here were resolved in favor of both parties but both times I have had to reach out to support they fix the wrong problem.
In March a sale was delivered to the buyer’s Post Office (Alaska address so this didn’t seem weird to me). The item sat at the post office awaiting pick up, so after a few days I reached out to PM Support. I briefly explained the situation and essentially asked, “how long before my funds get released?” I thought they would send an email reminding the buyer to pick up their item. A couple days later they sent me a message that they considered the item “lost”, although the tracking information clearly stated it was delivered and awaiting pick up. They refunded the buyer and released my funds. I never got any communication from the buyer and they did not open a case so idk if they ever received the item they bought. I figured best case scenario; the buyer got the item free and I still got paid, so no harm no foul.
More recently I sold a set of items that arrived to the buyer with half of the set broken. They immediately opened a case. I responded asking if the buyer wanted a partial refund or return. The buyer asked for a partial refund. I submitted a 50% refund offer. The buyer never responded to or accepted the refund offer. Again, after a few days I reached out to PM Support asking for guidance. I included a screenshot of the convo with the buyer where they asked for and I submitted the partial refund. I was essentially asking them how to resolve (close) the case if the buyer doesn’t respond to the refund that they had requested. I thought maybe they would send the buyer an email explaining that a refund offer had been submitted and instructions on how to accept the refund. However, today PM sent me a message stating that they refunded the entire purchase amount to the buyer and released my funds. They also chastised me for not packaging the item better. These were plastic candle holders that I wrapped in tissue paper, then bubble wrap bags, and a padded foam shipping material on the top and bottom of the box.
I’m glad that the issue is resolved for my buyer but a little annoyed that PM doesn’t seem to actually read the information that is provided when I reach out for help. I’m also concerned that these issues will ultimately end up counting against my account in some negative way and that if I have issues in the future PM will not address them properly again. Anyone else have problems like this with support, should I do something different next time?

2024.05.14 18:33 Hollie_Paperwell Derm appointment

I thought I would write my experience here,I just had my derm appointment after doing a lot of research and trying to find a solution! They did start injections on my keloid, which I was prepared to ask for in the first place, hopefully that will work and I will update later! My doc said couple of things that I would like to share ,they said it’s good to start a treatment as early as possible before it takes a year for a keloid to fully develop,it’s easier to get rid in the first stages, also massaging 3 times a day is beneficial with any treatment you choose, because it helps to soften the scar tissue,I’ve read that before and has been massaging it with a facial roller..I’m not claiming that everything that I was told and researched myself is 100% and affective ,just sharing my knowledge and experience with keloid, hopefully it will help someone..

Burberry outlet Bangkok Haul - Olympia shoulder bag
I previously shared photos from my trip to Siam Premium Outlets in Bangkok back in March, but forgot to update you on my purchases from the Burberry outlet. Now, after using this gorgeous Olympia bag for a few weeks, I wanted to share an update.
I ended up buying this bag along with a blue card holder (last picture) for approximately 24,000 Thai baht or USD 653.
The Olympia bag has quickly become my go-to accessory, thanks to its versatility. It easily accommodates my essentials - a small wallet, sunglasses, lipstick, and keys, with room for my phone in the inner flap pocket. Additionally, the two outer flap pockets come in handy for storing tissues.
While the pictures were taken indoors, you can refer to the second picture to see how it looks in daylight. I believe it's a fantastic bag that complements many of my outfits, and I'm thrilled to have found it at such a great price.

2024.05.14 05:52 Strange-Cold-5192 Extremely loose, baggy skin (EDS-like), but only from head to shoulders

This has been bugging me for awhile now, and I think I have some pictures up on an old post showing me pulling skin off my neck/jaw area (and note: it got even worse since). My doctor gave me a referral for a dermatologist, but I still have some time before the appointment.
As I stated above, I can pull my facial skin almost like I have EDS; however, I have no other symptoms of EDS, and the skin laxity ends around my shoulders/collarbone. EDS was the first thing my doctor said before I showed her I did not have the same laxity on my forearms.
I’m only 27 (and male, 5’10”, 225lbs— probably useful info), but I’m becoming horribly prematurely aged, and it’s killing my confidence. The bizarre thing is, though, is that my skin quality is actually looking really good. Red light therapy has made my complexion look better than it has in years, cleared old scar tissue from pimples I popped, and gotten rid of all but a few stubborn forehead wrinkles I’ve developed from raising my brows to keep my vision clear of excess skin and my nasolabial folds. My skin is soft and thick, almost too thick, and it’s like almost like everything underneath the skin has melted. I really think that’s the problem— the fat and muscles that once held my face together are either disappearing or dropping, and I’m left with one amorphous, gelatinous blood pooling into my jowls and neck. Despite being overweight, I can feel every last bump and crevice in my cheeks, around my eyes, along my jaw and brow, etc. Yet the skin just covers over all of it like a mask, and it just makes me look fat (and as I just said, I am overweight, but my upper body does not look horribly so. I have massive legs, so people often think I’m a good 20-30lbs less than I really am). But it’s like all the fat has drained off my face and is sinking downward.
I’m at a loss. I keep thinking it can’t get worse, but it does. It’s affecting my vision, it makes my head feel heavy, I can feel my skin fold with every movement of my neck. Obviously, it’s destroyed my confidence and desire to be in public or date. And now as I read about stuff like acquired cutis laxa, I’m worried it could even be tied to stuff like cancer.
It’s worth noting that these symptoms really took off after a COVID infection. My case was very mild, but it was afterwards that things got bad. Tremors, spasms, heart palpitations, blood pressure spikes, brain fog, joint pain, muscle strains, you name it, I probably had it. I lost fat passing in my hands and wrists as well (strange thing to notice, but very evident as a powerlifter, golfer, and baseball player. Things start feeling different in your hands, your gloves stop fitting right, stuff like that). The tremors, heart palpitations, and all that cleared up last November after I upped my water intake from about a half gallon to at least one gallon a day, and all labwork was normal, if not better than before I was sick (no more vitamin D deficiency, testosterone up as my prolactinoma was finally under control after several years), except for positive antihistone antibodies. The rheumatologist said not to worry about it for now because everything else was normal, and he expected I had had an inflammatory reaction to the virus and the flare up was over.
I’m at my wit’s end. This is ruining my life, and not one doctor aside from my PCP seems to care because they dismiss it as a cosmetic concern.
