In this episode, we finally have some real football news! We’ve got Travis’ reaction to his new Chiefs contract, Jason addressing the rumors he’s making a move to TV, and we’ve finally reveal the launch dates for our videos recapping the insanity that was our live show in Cincinnati.
We also have breakdown of Mother’s Day gifts, a No Dumb Question about swapping bodies with another athlete, and Travis recaps his weekend in Vegas raising money with Patty Mahomes.

There’s also a lengthy discussion about NFL butts, thoughts on NFL scheduling rumors, and an incredible sneak peek at our interview with Joe Burrow. Episode Notes: 92%ers we are back with another special guest episode of New Heights sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings. Let’s Go Sports Bar!
In this episode, we got a chance to sit down with the insanely talented rapper, actor, producer, director and most importantly, die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, Lil Dicky!
The guys talk to Lil Dicky about what’s next for him after the release of his album “Penith” and the news that his show “Dave” is going on hiatus. Lil Dicky also delves into the making of his show, what it was like shooting scenes with Brad Pitt and which guest star he’s most surprised agreed to join the show.
We then get into Lil Dicky’s early career beginnings, funding his first music videos with bar mitzvah money, his musical background, as well as the intensity of his high school tennis team! Dave also shares his “Welcome to the Industry” moment.
We also talk all about Lil Dicky’s lifelong Philadelphia sports fandom, including what makes Philly fans so different and why Jason’s Super Bowl victory speech means so much to him. Lil Dicky then gives his thoughts on “The Process,” explains his rap name origin story and gives us his Mt. Rushmore of rappers-turned-actors.

2024.03.21 19:43 my_name_is_juice Gas to get to the food bank
Hi everyone. I made a ridiculously long post on here the other night, detailing how i came to be in my current difficult situation, if you care to know the story.
But i'll keep this post short and simple. Sitting parked at a QuikTrip, tank on empty. Have an appointment at noon (currently 11:30) to pick up food from the food bank.
Hoping someone out there would be willing to help me buy some gas to keep going.
https://quiktrip.cashstar.com/store/program?locale=en-us You can buy a gift card online there, and send it to my email, if you want to help send me a dm and i'll give you my email, would rather not just post it out here to start with.
You can buy any amount from $5 up, 5 would get me to the food bank, anything more than that would be immensely helpful as well but would be happy just to be able to go pick up this food. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help and if not thanks for reading anyway

2024.03.05 19:04 muppetdisaster Mini Food Review for the …Lemon Bar Tea Latte at the QuikTrip
| I know, I know. Unfortunately, I really still am not going out to eat much and when I do, it’s to restaurants I already like. As well as ones that are well established. Unless y’all want me to do a Mannaweenta review that’s just: MAN THIS DORO WOT AND INJERA CHANGED MY LIFE, MY WORD. But you know where I did go recently? The eastside QuikTrip. And while I walked across that frankly super large parking lot to the store, I pondered upon having not had a gas station latte in quite a while. So, I went inside the store to the cappuccino/latte machines. And then I saw it. "Food" Review The Ordering: I walked up to the latte machine. I saw the words lemon bar tea latte. I looked up to the heavens (the sign above the coffee bar). I saw that the largest size latte was 2.09. I said. Wow. Love is real. Then I filled up the largest cup. Tip to many: Fill up the cup, then when you release the button to stop the stream of beverage, quickly snatch the cup from underneath before those last really watery dregs deposit themselves into the cup. The Ambiance: It’s a gas station. The Food: This tea latte tastes like a little slice of heaven. It tastes like if you condensed a lemon bar and fruity pebbles and milk and a sprinkle of love into a drink. When you first sip it, you immediately taste warmth and a unspecified fruity creaminess, then the bite of the lemon comes through. It’s not overly too much or distracting, it’s a really gentle lemon flavor. Less pine- sol sharp, more lemon meringue pie. You can’t really taste the tea used in it and frankly I don’t know what tea they use. I read that it is caffeine free, however. But overall, it just tastes like a warm- milk- with- a- hint- of- lemon-hug. The Price: 2.09 for a large. Rating: 9/10 tea lattes from a gas station that are suspiciously better than all tea lattes I’ve gotten in town recently TLDR; I went to the eastside QT and experienced nirvana. 2024.03.03 01:22 Alkshinaynay Do you think Quiktrip food is really really good up there with restaurants?
Obviously, we all love our kwik trips. I got into an debate with a friend about that their food is top-notch and I was like then you must not have been too many excellent restaurants if you’re comparing kwik trip gas station food with five star restaurants’ chicken. What’s do you all think? Personally I think they have good selection yes, but I think it’s a bit overboard to say it’s as good as restaurants.

2024.01.27 04:59 lonely_nipple Roller Grill Delivery
This is a silly, weird, short tale.
About 1.5 years ago, my partner and I opened the door to our apartment to find a bag sitting in front of our door. The same way you'd expect a "leave it at my door" food delivery to be. Except we hadn't ordered anything.
Upon investigation, it turned out to be full of gas station roller grill food (unboxed, just loose in the bag) items from the QuikTrip down the street.
To this day, we have no idea why or how someone would leave a full plastic baggie of hot dogs, taquitos, egg rolls and sausages outside of our apartment specifically. I wish I could get closure on this.

2023.12.21 00:10 phoenix8987 Which apps offer free food on signup or just in general right now.
I’m away from my regular area and I don’t want to dumpster dive in this area and draw attention to myself when I’m headed to my parents for Christmas.
What apps offer free food on sign up? I’m on the south east coast near Atlanta so I can’t use Casey’s or quiktrip which have free Christmas stuff.
I’ve seen so many on signup posts in the past I’m sure there are a bunch I can redeem.

2023.11.08 13:08 Vixen22213 Can I get some help with gas?
My fiance was arrested after an argument with me. He has a TBI after a pedestrian vs car hit and run in February and I got a TBI in my car accident last month, so our arguments can get bad. Nothing physical, just loud. He's dented but, I love him. Anyway, the police came and he was arrested as is normal when police come out for a DV call where we live. Fast forward a few days and the part of his brain missing skull is so swollen on a video call, it looks normal. He is immediately careflighted to another state and I drove 4.5 hours to meet the helicopter.
The doctors here will not be able to perform the surgery for 8-10 weeks and we are both unemployed. We are staying in this state because it is easier to get assistance, but currently have no gas money and we are stuck at a QuikTrip in a city neither of us are familiar with.
My attorney is helping with the rental car for 2 weeks. Can someone help somehow with gas? He already got food stamps here, but I have to get a hold of our previous state and cancel my benefits when I get my phone working again. The provider changed, but the person that started helping left for the day and has not made the change permanent. Her co-workers do not want to poach her $0 sale.
Thank you in advance. For al those wondering about the service dog, he did not come yet. He will come when we get more established.
Edited to add that I have PayPal and CashApp.
Edited again to ask for $75. That should fill the tank and maybe give me a little extra to do laundry at a laundrymat. An extra $20 and we can eat fast food.
3rd edit: Still no assistance, but I finally traced the edge of his skull last night. (I was afraid to hurt him before since it is just brain there.) The patch of skull removed in February was larger than my hand. He is losing motor skills, has had an increase in seizures, and has become mostly paralyzed on the left side. I have an interview Monday, and we both have doctor's appointments next week. Next week we should also hear back about his nicotine test.

2023.10.10 17:37 littlewitch1923 Homeless Guy told me and my sister some good advice
Me and my sister went to quiktrip when we wanted some snacks, and this time we saw a homeless guy sitting on the sidewalk near our place. He asked if we had any food, and we had just bought some so we thought, what the he'll, why not? So we gave him our danishes and jerky, plus one of our taquitos because it was a little cold outside and thought something warm might be good for him. He said thank you and told us to be careful, people can be dangerous for young girls. We said thank you, and we will be. When we got home we thought about what else he might be needing, so we brought some of our other food at home, and a small thing of some weed because who doesn't want some weed? So we go back and try to give it to him, but he politely refuses. We offered to smoke with him because it's always better to smoke with others, and ended up talking for hours because he was so kind. He told us that we don't need to live our life the way others want, that we have our whole life to enjoy. He showed us the song America's Sweetheart by Elle King and told us he showed this song to his daughter. Idk, he was just a cool guy and you shouldn't judge people for their circumstances. Be nice to everyone, it's worth it.

2023.09.27 19:40 Mystic575 Does the Costco Credit Card give 2% back on Food Court purchases?
Probably a very niche question, but I’ve been buying a few pizzas every Costco visit for events and such. I was planning on getting the Costco card to get some extra cash back on my gas and grocery purchases there, and wanted to know if it would apply to the food court as well.
Also, does anyone know if Quiktrip correctly flags as a gas station for 4% cash back? Or will I be locked to Costco and other nationwide gas chains?

2023.07.23 09:11 mossanddirt some issues I think ive seen as a new hire. any more experienced kwik trip ppl have any comments? esp about meal times
So, I am on my third day of working on the floor after doing extensive training online, and it’s a lot! I really like all my coworkers so far and I am trying my best to keep up.
But I’ve noticed that things are not to the standard that was expressed in the online training or the interview. The stocking has barely any rhyme or reason to it, you just take out boxes and then scavenger hunt where they go, and they told me to mix-and-match items and shove them into boxes to condense the space, so when you open the box it just has a whole bunch of random stuff with all kinds of different dates on it .
For the most part I haven’t been directly trained on anything except for the register, when I do other tasks they just point out some thing and tell me to go do it, and I always say I did what I thought I needed to do, but I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing so I kind of guested. To which they say “okay!” I am very new! So there is that! But everything seems very chaotic and I don’t feel very secure in what I’m doing, except for the register which I’m getting comfortable with very quickly, and I love to do work with guest interactions, cuz that’s what I’m good at.
Today was my first full shift, 2 PM through 10 PM, I’ve done many eight and nine hour shifts of course, But nonetheless, I was nervous. By the time that 630 rolled around I was pretty hungry and asked if it would be a good time to go on my meal break. They said they “don’t really care when my break is as long as I tell someone.” Which I thought was weird because I’ve never had a job that didn’t have a break schedule.
Come to find out that we don’t have a break room at all, it’s either the office which you can’t even fit three people in, or the storage room which is filthy and has tons of boxes in it and people going in and out to retrieve stock.
I bought a decent amount of food because I hadn’t eaten since 10 AM and I was a little nauseous, I set a 25 minute timer for my meal break, but just to be sure I asked a coworker how long I should make my break (Because he was in there doing loud busy work while I was eating, because it is not a break room) And he said “ oh, well, technically legally we get two 15 minute breaks in eight hours that we can condense into a meal break if we choose to, but realistically that’s probably not going to happen for you, and you’re going to want to take 10 or 15 minutes ”
I was pretty shocked and said “oh! Well that’s pretty terrible, they can’t even give us a place to eat, or the time to do it!”
And he just said “yeah, it sucks, but that’s the way it is.”
When I told my other coworker that, he said I shouldn’t complain because a year ago they only got “10 instead of 15, if that!”
And he is a very nice guy, so he wasn’t saying that to be condescending or to dismiss my feelings, he was being serious!
With how much reading I had to do on “company culture”, and “treatment of the workers”, I don’t think that this is up to what quick trip strives to be.
At my old job at a furniture store I would work eight or nine hours, and legally we got two 15 minute breaks and 30 min a meal break. I did not always take my extra 15, but I’m not ashamed to say that I took a 15 and a meal break most days! And I will tell you what, I was always extremely motivated and happy to do the work. I was one of their most productive employees. They treated me well! I only quit because management got very unpleasant towards the end, but the job itself was very good.
I’m wondering what I can do, if anything, or if this is normal. If this is secretly how Quiktrip is, disorganized, no space for the employees, and no meal breaks, then I might just crawl back to my old job lol. Poor management is better than that.

2023.06.23 14:29 Deja_ve_ A real life event affects my thought process for disaster/apocalyptic worldbuilding
Hello, everyone. Just wanna give a quick rundown on my recent experience with a natural disaster and how it’s influenced the way I treat doomsday world-building in fiction, as I’ve never really been in a situation like that before. At least from what I remember. So with the 4 1/2 years of writing experience and 18 years of life experience I’ve obtained, I’ll brisk over it.
October 17th, 12:05am. Modern house, Oklahoma. I was wanking off to some Violet Myers, as I was feeling quite vanilla and exemplary that night. In the midst of all of that rubbing, I receive an amber alert. Though not of one that heeds useless warnings of kidnappers we’ll never hunt down. But one that warns of mother nature’s egotistical rage. My eyes falter as my pupils laid across the line, “DESTRUCTIVE 100 mph winds.” That is when I decide to take a look outside.
At first, all I saw was a clear sky with a moon partly covered in the distance. Then I obscurely gleam behind my house, and see the faintest of black rolled into an evil blunt. Three titanic and dark cumulonimbus clouds that were so midnight black that even Winston Churchill would be overshadowed by this Darkest Hour.
The spirit of Jesse Owens had possessed me to sprint inside and lock my doors with prominent haste. I could see my dog in her bed, the little wiener dog shaken to her obese stomach. Riddled with anxiety, all I could manage was to take her into the bathroom with me and mask ourselves in the tub.
I call my dad, as he was on a 10 day cruise during this time, and was only getting back tomorrow. No response. Call again. No response. I had reckoned he was already bunkered out in his hotel bed next to his girlfriend. Next, I turn on the news. I could make out that the the storm is already above us, and could hear it too, as rocks were apprehended and slingshotted at our roof at who knows what speeds.
Boom. Like a guitar, the Thunderstruck, and I could feel the A/C loose it’s momentum. At 12:17am, all the power cuts out. Then comes back on. I lose connection to the news, so I switch to mobile instead. To virtually no one’s surprise except mine, I observe that Verizon was shitting themselves harder than the Stockbrokers 93 years and 8 months ago. YouTube and Safari could barely load, and the only thing that had the ability to load were the gonads to Violet Myers only 20 minutes prior.
Boom again. After flickering for two minutes, all the lights cut out. Complete darkness. I hid in the bathroom with my dog for nearly 30 Minutes before swiftly exiting as the storm died down ever so slightly. With my phone at a mere 37%, I use the flashlight to navigate around the house. After 15 minutes, through the phase of my maw being agape after hearing the tornado warning on my phone and the slight aura of tornado sirens in the background, I was able to locate candles and lighters. I light one and set it on my counter, acting as a mortal reminder for when God’s servants such as myself can be dwindled back to The Flintstones, as the divine so chooses.
I go to my local McDonald’s which is closed due to no power. You would think that Nikola Tesla would’ve come to shoot electric bolts at the whole community with how 400,000 homes across Eastern Oklahoma were without power. But nope! I decided to go to the McDonald’s that was farther away. And oh boy…
Lines were backed all the way to the other street light (about a Titanic length. Yes, 883ft long or about 270 meters if you’re Anti-American). I waited 35 minutes just to get a goddamn egg burrito and some orange juice. THEN I finally wallashed my way towards a QuikTrip, which was also more full than Riley Reid in that one video. Again, yacht-length lines plagued the area in commercial buildings. The QuikTrip I went to eventually ran out of gas in the next few hours, and most of their food inventory had already disappeared into the howling abyss. I even heard people were going to commercial distributors themselves and getting supplies like food.
Walmart was packed to the brim, people were buying 30 different rolls of toilet paper and all the backup generators in Walmart were sold out. Like the Cookie Monster had the runs and decided to get all the preparation he needed for a big shit.
Police were everywhere, and fire departments as well. We had to stay in a hotel for 3 days because our power took a while to come back on. Restaurants and hotels were sold out, traffic was filled with migrants trying to escape the millennial blackout of the century in Oklahoma. Literally in the middle of nowhere.
So after that entire long and exhilarating story I told, which I could’ve TL;DR’d but decided not to, what info does it bring to the table?
What I had just described, specifically in the last 4 paragraphs, is the first step of societal breakdown whenever a damaging event happens. Whether in your fictional world it’s an alien invasion, zombies, pandemic, robot takeover, civil war, meteor impact, nuclear attack (though it varies on where the nuke occurs), it still works. This will be the synopsis of what to expect within the first waking hours of Armageddon. Multiply the events I went through by twelve, and you’ll get the general idea of what you should scope out when making this.
Let’s take zombies or even an alien invasion, for example. Some of the more difficult challenges to make decent in fiction compared to the rest of the list. A threat outside of society, that makes society sort of unify, and challenges the psychology of humanity. In these scenarios, individualism will persist and greed will encapsulate the human spirit, as seen with the Cookie Monster bullshit. But it can show collectivism through groups forming to fight the struggle, and order still being shown and adhering to a sense of moral responsibility, even with society tinkered up (The beluga whale size lines at fucking McDonalds is one example).
In something like a nuclear apocalypse or a civil war, paramilitary will more than likely formulate to keep order, as well as small groups within a large group. It’s quite hard for a country that’s new, at least in Western Culture to be centralized. It’ll more than likely be federalized to keep control, as it’s too anarchic to stay authoritarian for too long (unless some Jesus-like figure comes down and turns water into hot steamy breast milk and they start worshipping them, then that could be a possibility. This is within the first waking moments of the apocalypse, of course. Authoritarianism could thrive long while after).
Infrastructure is the most important piece in the puzzle. The more it deteriorates, the more society deteriorates. Demand and need for resources will scour the Earth. Then stores, money, law, military. Anything within a hierarchy will start to settle like brittle snow, and an avalanche of full freedom will march down for survival.
In the very first stage, society is it’s most active. EVERYONE is active and EVERYONE is on the dot. Open shot, A-Train on the line, race to the finish, fate of the universe, something something something, I think I’m done here.
Thoughts? Something to add? Reply.
PS: I got my first speeding ticket ever. Apparently, cops were a lot more… active than I expected.

2023.06.07 14:25 jczz23 I stole from work all the time and I dont regret it
I used to work at Quiktrip, was there for a little over a year, and in my time there ive probably stolen over $3,000 in cash and merchandise. Seriously, while i was working there i noticed how easy it was to steal from there as a clerk, shit its still pretty easy to steal as a customer if you know what youre doing. If youre working the register and you have decent slight of hand skills, its super easy to nab some cash for yourself, and as long as you know what youre doing, you can get away with it without any suspicions towards you. Yea theyll notice when they see theyre short, but if you do your job right and youre good at hiding it, youll never be suspected, even more so if youre good friends with management. Apart from money ive also stolen lotto scratchers, food, cases if drinks, ive even stolen a pair of wireless earbuds that a store had once. When i stole the scratchers i would always get the $20 loteria ones, or i would grab a couple benjis from the register and use the nice blue machine to get the $50 or $100 ones, funny enough i also learned that those super expensive scratchers you rarely ever win on em, if at all.
I think back often and wonder if it was worth it, i say yea it was. I was never caught and now Im in a much better job now and i regret nothing.
