2024.05.16 16:39 jdbazemore Mercedes M272 - problems after intake manifold swap

2010 Mercedes E350 Coupe, 117k Miles
I’ve just completed an intake manifold conversion/swap to the M014 composite manifold, including a flash tune from OETuning. Also did the CCV kit from FCP Euro at the same time (oil separator, centrifuge, drip pan, hoses, plugs).
During reassembly it seems I failed to properly reconnect the plugs on the engine wiring harness that’s clipped on the ECU mount (circled in this picture https://imgur.com/a/Id9TEUf).
It was dark, I was holding a flashlight, and working with one hand, I pressed the plugs together but apparently didn’t push them far enough for them to click. Called it a night and forgot to recheck my work when I came back to it the next day.
On initial startup the idle was extremely rough, lots of misfires and flashing CEL.
Pulled the codes from OBDLink and got the following:
P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected P0304 - Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected P0305 - Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected P0306 - Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected P0273 - Cylinder Injector 5 Circuit Low P0348 - Camshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit High P0393 - Camshaft Position Sensor “B” Circuit High P2092 - “A” Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low P2094 - “B” Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low
So…errors from pretty much everything on the 4/5/6 Cylinder bank led me to believe I’d missed a plug. Pulled the air box and started checking and that’s when I discovered the loose connection previously described. Reconnected that plug, also disconnected the ground wire, cleaned the contact surfaces, and reconnected for good measure. Checked all the plugs on the injectors, camshaft adjuster magnets, and camshaft position sensors - all were solid.
Started the car up again, no more misfires and flashing CEL, engine seems to be running fairly smoothly however the CEL was continuously illuminated and there was quite a bit of lifter noise from that side of the engine now (Bit of backstory, I replaced all four camshaft adjuster magnets about a month ago and went to 0w-40 oil which completely eliminated the lifter noise).
Thinking maybe clearing the codes would help, I tried to do so through the OBDLink app and it was unsuccessful (maybe because it’s really more for BMW’s), so I tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes to clear them that way. No luck, when I started the car back up the CEL was still on with same codes, and the lifter noise persisted.
At this point I’m wondering if that plug being half connected has damaged the injector, adjuster magnets, and position sensors in question and they need to be replaced? Or could something else be going on?
My plan at this point is to start pulling the engine harness on that side of the engine and basically redo the assembly to see if I missed something else I’m not catching in visual inspection.
Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.

2024.05.16 16:19 AWierzOne Weekly development round up 5.16.24

Big Reveal: East Side Endeavor Health Center - Buffalo Rising
Endeavor Health is proposing a new behavioral health center at the corner of Broadway and Goodyear on the East Side. The two-story building will include 16,000 sq.ft. of space and surface parking for 45 cars.
The center will replace Endeavor Health’s existing facility located at 1131 Broadway which is outdated, undersized, and in need of substantial repair to continue in useful service to the community. Endeavor’s current facility provides 41,995 treatment visits per year with 2,870 adults.
Former Record Theatre complex ready for re-use (buffalonews.com)
Work by BRD Construction is nearly completed on the $8.4 million redevelopment of the former Record Theatre complex into a new mixed-use residential and retail project, with the first new apartments ready for rent as of June 1.
About 20 months after kicking off construction on the adaptive-reuse venture, the five partners from Common Bond Real Estate, Urban Vantage and Preservation Studios are finishing up their effort to restore and revive the buildings at 1786 Main St. and 1040 Lafayette Ave., which had originally been a car dealership when they were built in the 1920s...
Now redubbed "The Monroe," it will feature 17 workforce housing units, affordable for households earning less than 80% of the area median income, as well as 11,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.
Residents, Town Board clash over future Grand Island growth (buffalonews.com)
The latest skirmish in the long-running Grand Island warehouse war took place last week.
That’s when boos and cries of “shame” rained down on the Grand Island Town Board after a board majority rejected a new law that would subject massive warehouse and distribution centers to heightened scrutiny.
Residents had packed Town Hall to implore the board to pass the oft-debated zoning change, contending it was needed to protect them from the traffic, pollution and loss of green space inflicted by these large facilities...
D'Youville pauses construction of new med school building (buffalonews.com)
Just months after starting construction on a $175 million project to construct and open a new osteopathic medical school on Buffalo’s West Side, D’Youville University has called a halt to the work that was already underway as it considers whether to proceed or to abandon its plan in favor of a cheaper alternative...
Details on what had happened or why were not available, but financing problems appeared to be the culprit, as the cost of the project has soared because of higher interest rates, as well as construction, material and labor costs. But those have been factors for all construction projects for the past two years, yet there was no prior indication of any problem for D’Youville, until now.
Jemal lays out $4.2M plan to transform Main Street block wgrz.com
Douglas Jemal has detailed his plans for new apartments and facade renovations in several buildings on the 500 block of Main Street.
In a series of applications reviewed this week by the Buffalo preservation board, Douglas Development described a combined $4.2 million worth of work across three related projects and 515-521, 525 and 529 Main.
Two Homes Planned for Main/Woodbridge - Buffalo Rising
The site of a proposed apartment building at the northwest corner of Main Street and Woodbridge Avenue is now targeted for two single-family homes. Property owner Nick Giambra is seeking to split the parcel into two lots oriented towards Woodbridge Avenue. The change in plans comes after pushback from the Central Park Homeowners Association and to comply with deed restrictions on the site that only permit single-family homes.
(Note: I'd prefer main facing properties to have a larger footprint than a SFH, but at least these won't be empty lots much longer)
Financing for new MusicalFare Theatre in Amherst up in air (buffalonews.com)
The Amherst Town Board has reversed its decision to borrow up to $11 million to pay for a new MusicalFare Theatre building at the former Westwood Country Club, an abrupt reversal that leaves the fate of the project up in the air.
The move came after the borrowing received withering criticism from a group of town residents who collected enough petition signatures to put the MusicalFare bond up to a public vote.
Construction Watch: The Lawrence - Buffalo Rising
Work on The Lawrence, a Fruit Belt apartment building, is underway. Symphony Property Management is building the 132-unit apartment project on a site that fronts both Michigan Avenue and Maple Street at the edge of the Medical Campus.
(Note: I really wish this had a commercial street level component to it)
Developer sought for project at former Bethlehem Steel site (buffalonews.com)
With Ciminelli Real Estate Corp. abandoning plans for a new warehouse project at Renaissance Commerce Park in Lackawanna, Erie County is now putting the same property and more out for bid to other developers in search of another light industrial project to add to the growing complex along Route 5.
The Industrial Land Development Corp. – the land development arm of the Erie County Industrial Development Agency – is asking developers to submit proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of 23.73 acres at the former Bethlehem Steel campus.

2024.05.16 15:48 dildacorn From Skeptic to Fan: Why I Now Prefer the G303 SE Shape Over the Original

Hand Size: 7x4 inches or 17.8x10 centimeters.
Grip Style: Mix between Pincer claw and fingertip grip (Situational grip style)
Mousepad: Skypad 3.0 XL White
Mouse Skates: x4 TJ Exclusive “PlastiX Skates” on 4 corners of the G303 SE skate area (These skates are game changing and deserver their own post)
Let me just start off by saying I have mained the original G303 for over 7 years playing Counter-Strike in my youth. When I began attempting to switch to other mice I didn’t realize how much of a struggle and challenge it would introduce in my gaming time. This is what began my mousereview journey in investigating, testing, and continuous use of different shapes…spilling money, regretting purchases and finding inspiration and newfound reasoning why the G303 and G303 SE shape are so special.
The G303 and G303 SE are so unique that there is literally no alternative. Even if you fingertip grip the G303 there are considered alternatives but none of them feel similar in the slightest. Some users with bigger hands from what I understand have switched to the Endgame Gear XM1 and some users with smaller hands have found themselves stuck with the original G303 because they couldn’t get a comfortable grip on the new G303 SE in practice.
Let’s get one fact out of the way; Fact: The G303 and G303 SE are not comfortable shapes BUT that’s to the users benefit. I’ve found this uncomfortable diamond shape to be super beneficial for aiming scenarios. There are freedom of movement downsides but the positives outweigh the negatives in my use of this shape.
After long term use of forcing myself to use the G303 SE, I’m thankful for the slightly enlarged shape that Shroud inspired Logitech to produce. Once you’re eventually somewhat comfortable with this shape you begin to realize this is the best claw grip mouse you can perform a somewhat natural baseball grip on while still feeling there is an arrow in your hand pointing you toward your opponents.
If you own a G303 SE and find yourself disappointed with the shape in comparison to your beloved OG G303, I want to inspire you to try to main the G303 SE for two months. See if the shape really is a downgrade and let others know your thoughts. Sometimes it just takes using a mouse for a while to eventually click with the shape. Our minds learn to adapt to new shapes and given the G303 SE is the closest thing to the original G303 I think we can all learn to adapt and aim just as well if not better with a slightly increased mass of the G303 SE. If you’re still not sold on the G303 SE then continue to keep your eye out for the upcoming ARYE FCC-1.
In the past 2 weeks I decided to do a 150mah battery swap on my G303 SE. The improved weight has been significant enough in use that I recommend others to perform the mod if you’re comfortable, but don’t expect the mod to be massively game changing. The battery lasts around a week in heavy use now which is more than fine. I was using a HSK Pro 4k @ 4k hz polling rate and the battery was only lasting a day and a half or two so I understand bad battery life and doing this battery swap isn't giving me any problems. The G303 SE charges so fast I can basically go cook an egg on a pan or take a restroom break and it would be near if not already 100% to last another week anyway. It’s nice having a battery that lasts over a month+ but it’s super unnecessary in practice especially sense it sacrifices weight and can hinder your aim performance if ever so slightly.
I want to add that I received the TJ Exclusive PlastiX Skates a couple of days ago and in combination with my Skypad 3.0 they are actually the best skates I've ever used and possibly the best on every glass or ceramic surfaces currently. PTFE still feels slightly better on softer cloth surfaces to me, and I have a hunch that the PlastiX wouldn’t be fantastic for a plastic mousepad surface. They do however preform amazingly on harder surfaces so if you use for example a MID Artisan mousepad, they could be fantastic in those use cases.
The G303 SE sides angle inward a bit more aggressively than the OG G303. This one change essentially forces a claw grip in most scenarios which is either a good or bad thing for stability and movement situations. This change has been the most significant to me in comparison to rear hump change.. It's made the G303 SE more aggressive in practice and depending on how you look at it can be a positive or a negative change for your grip.
I'm going to continue using the G303 SE for the foreseeable future. Till something releases that competes and is of higher quality for an affordable price. The soon to be releasing ARYA FCC-1 is a bit pricey for me @ $220... It's a (maybe) mouse depending on how bad I want to try it and if it's in stock for me to try in the future.
I'm going to continue using the OG G303 at work as a reminder of what the G303 SE could have been.. I think both shapes have there pros and cons and as I keep saying the G303 SE has more pros than cons over the original G303 that it's enough for me to keep using it as my main gaming mouse.
I can't wait for the G303 inspired shape uprising! It's going to happen and it's only a matter of time!
Thanks for reading!

2024.05.16 15:29 QuantParse Long Seat Depth needed - seeking recommendations

Am 6’ 3” / 275 pounds. Would like to buy an office chair that has a long seat depth. Have used HM Original Aeron size C in the past and currently have the HM Remastered Aeron Size C w/aftermarket headrest.
The current chair pretty good but there is a 4-5 finger gap between the back of my knees and the front edge of the chair. Lately that has been giving me discomfort in the hamstrings. Also the side edges of the seat pan tilt up. I am looking to get a chair that has more seat depth , and as a bonus if the seat pan is flat or flatter.
Anyone have any recommendations or experience with good ideas or ones to avoid? Basis numbers the Haworth Zody 2 without lumbar seems to have a lot of seat depth (20” possible) but then on here I read that there is a big uncomfortable gap at your butt if you actually move it forward. That said people seems fairly negative on the Zody build quality and actual comfort for tall users. Seems it is smaller than avg or avg sized users who like it. Anyone have experience with it who is 6’ +?
Are there chairs where the seat depth adjustment actually makes the seat surface area larger rather than just shift it forward? Some kind of waterfall expansion?
Any other chair ideas? I was specifically also looking at the HM Embody gaming. In the stats it doesn’t seem to have a big seat depth. But the pictures of it next to other chairs make the seat depth look big. I have no back issues and don’t care what type of back it is, so won’t mind whatever the back thing is.
One person here mentioned big and tall chairs from BTOD (ergocentric aircentric 3 and the sitmatic good fit. But I could find no other info about them.
Anything else i should consider from Crandell or Steelcase ? Thanks so much.

2024.05.16 14:56 Free_runner Lone Peak 7. Pretty Good. Not perfect but not terrible, if you have narrow feet.

Just throwing this into the mix for consideration.
For me the LP7 isn't as bad as it has been made out to be. I moved to LP's from Superiors as the Superior 6s just felt like a massive regression (The 4.5's were peak in performance and looks imo). I tried a pair of LP8 but the colour was just awful compared to the picture so they got returned even though they seemed to fit well from a cursory pad around the house.
Anyway the LP7. Its not bad....for me. I have incredibly narrow feet but as I've worn barefoot and zero-drop shoes since around 2011 my toe splay is quite substantial by now so I do require some decent toebox room. But even though they're reported to fit narrower than other LPs I find the LP7 has just enough room for me in the toe box. I would say however that this is about as narrow as I would want a shoe to be in the toe box. It's right on the limit. I can see why anyone with average or above average width feet wouldn't like them.
I don't get any hotspots, numb toes or find them at all sloppy either on hikes or runs. I primarily use them for hiking on sharp and rocky terrain from distances varying from 6 to 15 miles. Runs are done for fun as and when, maybe once or twice a week, from 5 to 15km on mixed surfaces.
The only things I don't really like about my LP7's is the look of the green foam and the stack height. I much prefer the sensitivity offered by the Superior stack height as well as the stability from the lower centre of gravity. I have felt a little wobbly on the LP7 from time to time, but not enough to put me off them. It was just an adjustment I had to make. One thing I REALLY miss is the wrap-around tounge of the Superior. I find myself having to recentre the LP tounge quite often.
I think I have around 140 miles on my LP7s at the moment and they're showing no real signs of wear yet and remain as comfortable as they were on day 1. I do of course retain some apprehension in this area given the durability issues Altra have became synonymous with in recent years.
Anyway, if you can snag a pair of LP7 for cheap like I did, then they may be worth a try. They'll work for me until I see what Altra are going to release next because if their next batch of shoes aren't up to snuff then i'll be moving on and trying Topo or something similar. I hope Altra are paying attention.

Microsoft's decisions, like seemingly rowing back on Surface, Start Menu ads, closing studios, and porting AAA games to PS5, show a short-term financial focus
  • Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has revitalized the company's fortunes, positioning it at the forefront of the A.I. revolution while leaving behind a trail of questionable corporate decisions.
  • Despite their strides in technology, Microsoft's inconsistency and failure to fully commit to their hardware and software projects have resulted in lost opportunities and led to customer trust issues.
  • The company's focus on short-term gains over long-term value and social responsibility is harming its reputation among customers, partners, and employees.
  • Microsoft has faced significant security challenges, exemplified by a massive hacking scandal, pointing to an underinvestment in this critical area.
  • Microsoft's decision to potentially move Xbox exclusive games to PlayStation could undermine the brand's unique value proposition and console market presence.
A personal anecdote shared in the article highlights the ordeal of trying to resolve a security issue with Microsoft 365, culminating in nearly three weeks of frustration due to inadequate customer support. This story serves as a microcosm of the broader issues of underinvestment in customer service and security infrastructure at Microsoft.
"We want to move from people needing Windows to choosing Windows, to loving Windows. That is our goal."
Despite its success, Microsoft's leadership under Satya Nadella has been criticized for prioritizing immediate financial results over the cultivation of long-term technological innovation and customer loyalty, revealing a possible disconnect between the company's public ambitions and its operational strategies.

2024.05.16 14:04 megalodorid I've been here before

I have dreamed about this place many times and as others have said, they are incredibly vivid dreams, those dreams that stay in your head all morning after waking up. This might get a bit long, so apologies in advance.
For me the mall is a huge place with REALLY high ceilings and a lot of floors. The architecture is modern and kinda luxurious with glass featuring prominently and every surface clean and shiny, at least in the "main" area of the mall. It is a very luminous space and even though I never paid attention to the ceiling, I reckon it must be made of glass allowing the sunlight in.
The weirdest thing is it is super hard to navigate. There are multiple stairs, escalators and elevators but you never know exactly what floor they will lead you to. For example, to get to floor three you might have to take an elevator to floor five, then go down some stairs to floor four, cross half the mall and then find another set of stairs that finally lead you to floor three. The layout of the place is also a complete mess outside of the main courtyard area. Wide corridors in every direction, dead ends, weird roundabouts...
When I'm in this place I always feel a vague sense of dread. There doesn't seem to be any danger and the environment is objectively pretty, but for some reason I never feel content or calm in there. There is a sense of melancholy, like remembering an old memory, but it is kinda bittersweet and, while not exactly terrible, makes me want to leave the place as quickly as possible. And that's what I usually spend my time doing there, finding the exit, though sometimes I'm searching for something else, someone I was expected to meet or a certain place, I never seem to remember once I wake up.
The place is usually quite empty considering it is a huge mall, but you still can find some people milling about here and there. I never try talking or interacting with them for some reason, maybe the fact that I feel kinda like an outsider that shouldn't be in that place. There are also plenty of shops as you would expect from a mall but, once again, I never enter or pay them much attention. Nonetheless, since the place is so easy to get lost in, I usually use them as a kind of "landmark" to be able to get my bearings.
That would be the "main" part of the mall but once you stray far from the central courtyard area things start to change, sometimes in a perceptible gradual way and sometimes, in purely dreamlike fashion, abruptly and without me registering the change until later.

Val-d'Or, Quebec--(Newsfile Corp. - May 16, 2024) - Bonterra Resources Inc. (TSXV: BTR) (OTCQX: BONXF) (FSE: 9BR2) ("Bonterra" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update at its 100% owned Desmaraisville project. The Company has now completed the compilation and interpretation of the results from the 2023 15,000 meters ("m") drill program and as well the analysis of the two geophysical surveys completed in November and December 2023. Several prospective geological, geophysical and drill targets have been identified and will be subject of field work in the coming weeks. The purpose of the field work is to prioritize drill targets in preparation for a 9,000 m diamond drill program scheduled later this year. Please refer to the press releases dated December 4, 2023, December 14, 2023, February 5, 2024, and February 27, 2024, for exploration updates on the Desmaraisville North and South projects and the surrounding area.
The Company is pleased to announce that it has retained the services of Dr. Michel Jébrak for technical support on the upcoming drilling campaign. Dr. Jébrak is a well-known professional geologist with a deep understanding of the Desmaraisville camp geology, gained from prior work in the region. He is an emeritus professor at University of Quebec's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. He is a former Vice-President for Research and Creation at UQAM and holder of the UQAT-UQAM Mining Entrepreneurship Chair.
Marc-André Pelletier, President and CEO commented: "We are excited to commence field work at our 100% owned Desmaraisville project under the guidance of Dr. Michel Jébrak. Over the next few weeks, our focus will be on investigating multiple high-grade gold values and new types of mineralization, all within four kilometers from the Bachelor Mill. Importantly, Dr. Jébrak's expertise promises to offer insights into the exploration potential of the property.
"At our Phoenix JV, operated by Osisko Mining Inc. ("Osisko Mining"), exploration efforts are progressing well, with approximately 35,000 m drilled to date. Currently, two drill rigs are focused on regional targets, while five are dedicated to the Moss target, bringing the total of operational rigs on the Phoenix JV to seven."
Highlights of the Field Work
At the Desmaraisville South and North Properties, the field work is scheduled to commence late May 2024. The field programs will consist to: 1) evaluate several gold showings located within or at vicinity of the Opawica-Guercheville and the Wedding-Lamarck corridor of deformation where previous exploration works have returned very high-grade gold intersections in drilling and channel sample with values of 234.0 g/t over 0.4 m and 582.0 g/t Au over 0.53 m respectively, 2) map and sample outcropping areas with potential near surface gold bearing structures on both properties, 3) assess low-density circular features (Bouguer anomalies possibly corresponding to late felsic intrusions like the O'Brien Syenite Intrusion) interpreted from the high-resolution airborne gravity survey, 4) evaluate OreVision® 2D IP conductors and resistivity anomalies at the Desmaraisville South Property and 5) map and re-sample old gold bearing trenches to better assess their gold potential (Figure 1). Any positive results from these programs will help the Company to better focus and prioritize its diamond drill targets. The proposed 9,000 m drill program will commence later this year.

Noobie needs to stain and finish this new pine panel wall. High gloss. I'll take any and all advice.
I was thinking of using Varathane oil wax (I found a color that I like) and then using some kind of a brush on gloss poly finish. I already have a can of Triple Thick but the reviews on it are quite mixed.
image: https://ibb.co/5Yjy1Yq
The boards are brand new pine paneling.
I've done small coffee tables (purely amateur) but never such a big area or on a vertical surface. So I'm asking for any and all advice on products and techniques!

2024.05.16 13:19 Tenahsin Not getting Enough Volts

I am working with a PAA process that i need to hit 15V to meet a standard. my old frame works fine. but thee new stainless frame is struggling hard, only getting about 8.5v of the 15v being pushed by the rectifier. ( i am maxing out on amps the rectifier can do as well, 500amps) I can only think of two issues i may have created for my self here but would like to pick the community brain.
first is i just have way to much surface area in the frame & part?, my rectifier it 20v:500amp system and the tank is large, 1500-2000gallons
Second is i have made a capacitor out of the frame? frame is made from tube stainless 316 steel, welded construction and mostly closed off to the acid. The part is isolated from the main frame and connected to current via a grounding slip (part rotates in the tank)
Any thoughts or suggestions on why i am getting such low readings would help

2024.05.16 13:15 Dimetro_Sparks I've decided to put my take on the Internet popular "Mothra: Queen of the Monsters"

I've decided to put my take on the Internet popular
Hope you all enjoy the show! (Fair warning, it's very long)
We start off as a flashback during early Ancient Egypt times, where Mothra was flying over the deserts, peacefully scattering her godly lights over man and animal alike, bowing down to her in reverence and becoming docile respectively, before she senses a disturbance somewhere. She rushes over to it, and sees Abaddon (using my idea for him, a huge-ass Dragonfly with a functional mouth, a stinger tail, and the forelimbs of a Praying Mantis) using his swarm to hunt for food.
Mothra dispels the swarm and attacks Abaddon with her God Rays, with Abaddon territorially attacking the Queen, and Mothra, in a show of stubbornness, engaging his challenge, and both insectoid Titans engaged in a brutal aerial battle as the Ancient Egyptians watched. It looked as it was going well for the more nimble Mothra, until Abaddon trapped Mothra in his raptorial forelimbs, brutally slamming and dragging her across the sands, before he lifted her and raised his stinger. It cuts to the Ancient Egyptians, who gasp and look on in horror as the sound of a sharp object and crunching sounds fill the air. Abaddon drops Mothra's lifeless corpse as he flies away, having satiated his hunger, while the screen zooms in on Mothra's eye. Whatever epic opening your mind makes happens, before the title lights up.
We follow Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall) and her surrogate daughter Jia (Kaylee Hottle) again, this time joined with the Chen Twins, Dr. Ilene and Dr. Ling (both played by Zhang Ziyi) as Jia dreams about Mothra…'s hatching, that is. That's right, sometime after the battle in Rio de Janeiro, Mothra has flown to the Borneo Jungle and laid an egg there, and the main cast arrive to witness it in person, and naturally, when the larva hatches, it was a magnificent sight for all involved. When the night falls and Jia goes to sleep in the Borneo Outpost, she once again shares a dream with Mothra, joined by the Chen Twins, due to their history with the Queen… until the dream started going out of control, wildly flashing and prophesying, among other things, a high-pitched whining sound, unblinking red eyes, the earth collapsing, and darkness enveloping the skies.
Everyone in the dream, from where they are, wake up in a cold sweat, until they get an urgent call that the Mothra Larva was displaying an unnatural and out of character level of agitation, proven correct when they see the slightly nervous Mothra pulsating yellow and orange, before breaking free of her containment and vanishing into the forest. It was pretty easily seen that something big was about to go down if Mothra of all Titans was getting upset. And soon enough, it looked like it came true when a devastating earthquake shook a large part of Asia, splitting the ground asunder and causing ruin, all while energy signatures shows Mothra venturing into Hollow Earth. At this point, the humans knew something was up. So it was decided, one team, with Dr. Ilene Chen, would stay up on the Surface World and monitor any more earthquakes or disturbances, and another, with Dr. Ling, and newcomers to the series Lance Gibson (Donny Lucas) and Scarlet Wilde (Emilia Clarke) would venture into Hollow Earth to keep track of Mothra.
As Team Hollow Earth follows Mothra, understanding that she is sensing something they don't, they keep a close eye on her. Mothra continues making a beeline, hauling ass towards wherever, until she enters a foggy quarry and sees a flashing light that comes closer to her, causing Mothra to tense up, until the fog dispels and she sees… Battra. The flashing light was his horn, and Mothra, seeing this larva that shares the same similarities to her, softens up. Team Hollow Earth were stunned at seeing another Moth Titan, especially with scans showing they share the same genetic material. Mothra appears to be slightly taller than Battra, with Lance suggesting the possibility of them being siblings, and Mothra having hatched first, something that everybody agrees on. Battra has sensed Mothra's presence and vice-versa, with the Queen of the Monsters being visibly overjoyed to be an older sister. Until Battra's horn glows red, and he glows in agitation, before beckoning Mothra to follow him, and the humans trail after them.
Mothra and Battra's venture in the rest of Hollow Earth lead to the Moth Siblings getting ambushed by a large and aggressive Praying Mantis Sub-Titan called a Scymantis. Battra, who has never been in a serious battle before, was scared and hid behind Mothra, who fortunately, did know how to fight. Mothra does battle with the Scymantis, and Mothra, filled with a huge protective big sister instinct, had actually led to her killing the Scymantis, a move that stuns everyone watching, even Mothra herself, though she quickly collects herself and continues on to follow Battra's signal. Both Moth Siblings take a breather in a large beautiful grassy plain, where they see large glowing aphid-like creatures called Flight Lights, one of whom Mothra grabs and directs it's abdomen to her mouth, before eating in a delicious (to her) substance like an ant eating honeydew from an aphid. Battra tries to do the same as his sister, but he doesn't know how to, which visibly saddens him. Mothra, seeing the trouble her younger brother is facing, teaches him how to properly eat from a Flight Light, and does so properly, causing him to light up in happiness.
Meanwhile, with Team Surface World, Monarch is helping the areas of Asia that has been led to ruin by the earthquake, when they see the skies slightly darkening, something they identify to be a sign that Abaddon is arriving. Sure enough, he does indeed show up, his swarm following him. Abaddon was highly aggressive, something that confuses the Monarch team up above, until Abaddon reaches in and pulls out a huge insectoid Titan. The humans back away as Abaddon engages in a battle with the creature, before killing it, and feasting on it. Abaddon leaves, but the humans are left to ponder at what came out. Back in Hollow Earth, the Moth Siblings a large chasm in the ground, going several kilometers down, called the Gaping Maw. The Moth Siblings leap down the chasm, falling underneath and dispelling a veil of natural steam, with the humans following them, until they reach the bottom.
Mothra bravely treads ahead, while Battra cautiously trails behind her, his horn staying red. Until the humans manage to direct the two of them to a veil of what looked like webbing, with Scarlet confirming it not belonging to the Moth Titans. Both Moths rip it open, and see a huge hive, all filled to the brim with Meganulons, almost all of whom stop and stare at them. Battra was nervous, but Mothra crawled forward. Up until she sees a Meganulon about to fall to its death, at which point she rushes forward with no hesitation and saves it. As the Meganulon stared at her in what looked like awe and wonder, a loud screeching is heard, and all the Meganulons back away as both Moth Siblings. Battra looked terrified, while Mothra was defiant, as the Queen of the Meganulons, Megaguirus, emerged and hovered down to greet the newcomers.
Megaguirus sniffed Mothra out with her antennae, and understood that she came from the Surface World, which is good news for her, seeing as she wants to expand her hive. Until she sensed something else on the Surface. One of her own was dead, murdered. The same one that Abaddon killed. Furious at one of her brood's death, Megaguirus engaged the Moth Siblings in battle (yes, she treats her subjects with remarkably more respect and kindness that Skar King). Mothra valiantly fought her, even as a larva, while protecting the terrified Battra. While it looked like Mothra was doing well, Megaguirus, due to being mature, being incredibly speedy, having razor-sharp wings, and able to fly, managed to overpower her, grappling her in a deadly lock with her pincers and stinger tail, and even absorbing Mothra's energy with her stinger. Battra was scared, but upon seeing Mothra struggling, he decided to charge in and his horn lights up with yellow electrical (what looks like it, anyway) energy, and using it to force Megaguirus off of Mothra, who tag teams the Meganulon Queen and slams her to the ground.
They would have continued, if not for Megaguirus' wings glowing and letting out a roar. Suddenly, the ground erupted, and out came Megalon, whom Megaguirus treated almost like a brother, with Megalon in turn, being unfailingly loyal to her. And so, used his abilities over the earth to severely injure Mothra and Battra, forcing them to retreat. As the humans escape the Gaping Maw and bring the two Moth Titans to a secluded but humongous cavern to rest, the humans found ancient tunnels with writings of an ancient tribe, explaining that their God, Megalon, created the Vile Vortexes to Hollow Earth, but after getting touched by a "Golden Ray of Light", he had become destructive after meeting Megaguirus, a "kindred spirit", and have a solution should they ever attack the world. Unbeknownst to them, the Moth Siblings found that solution: a huge influx of Hollow Earth radiation, not only healing their wounds, but supercharging them, and accelerating their growth. When the humans finally notice the blinding lights behind them, they saw the double cocoons, and the literal blinding beauty of both Moth Siblings gracefully emerge in their Imago Forms.
Battra was amazed at his new form, while Mothra makes a dash and flies out, zooming out. Meanwhile, Battra flies back into the Gaping Maw to keep an eye on the Meganulons, he sees that Megaguirus is on the move, with Megalon and a crap-ton of Meganulon Warrior drones to assist her in her invasion of the Surface World. Battra flies back to the humans and warns this to Jia, who relays it to the humans, until Lance asks where the hell Mothra went to, with Scarlet bringing up scans revealing she went to the Surface. Back up in the Surface World, the team there reads Mothra's signatures erupting as she flies out, but she is making a straight beeline for a specific Titan. To Abaddon. Mothra is directly provoking him to get him to follow her to combat this threat, which worries Dr. Ling, seeing as she was aware of what Abaddon was capable of. Sure enough, the two Insect Titans collide in Bangladesh, where a furious Abaddon engages the challenging Mothra in combat once again. It seems as if history is going to repeat, until Battra steps in between the downed Mothra and Abaddon, and explains the situation. Abaddon was motionless for a few moments, before he backs off and follows Mothra and Battra to Hollow Earth.
With Team Hollow Earth, they were now tasked with holding the line between Megaguirus' forces, and the Vile Vortexes to the Surface World until Mothra comes back, knowing that they're in big trouble if they manage to get there. While this happens, Battra and Abaddon get into some skirmishes about one-upping the other due to Battra's newfound confidence with his powers and Abaddon's dislike of anything moth, but manage to hold it in enough to get to their destination. Soon enough, the three insectoid Titans arrive at the battlefield, where they charge in as Megaguirus and her forces do to. Mothra engages in a dogfight with Megaguirus, Battra attacks Megalon on the ground, and Abaddon makes some snacks out of the Meganulons, as the humans attempt to both escape and join in on the fight. During the brawl, Megalon manages to make the ground unstable enough for him to fall into a Vile Vortex, causing the other Titans (and humans) to follow suit.
In the Surface World, all the combatants find themselves in Barcelona, Spain. Megaguirus commands her hive with a high-pitched whining to arrive, with Megaguirus' absorption of Mothra's ability darkening the sky in a huge electrical superstorm, one Meganulon almost grabbing the humans, until Abaddon swoops in to save them, and the Moth Siblings follow suit. Their battles takes them to the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone. During the clash of insects, Battra realized brute force wasn't going to work on Megalon, so he continued beating down the huge beetle, until he grabbed the fatigued Megalon, and aerial suplexed him, making the ground give way and having him plummet to the depths of the earth. Now without her biggest ally, Megaguirus attacks more furiously, but fails when both Moth Siblings tag-team her with slashes and stabs, as Battra amplifies Mothra's own abilities, when Mothra grabs her and stares her down. Megaguirus roars defiantly, which is when Mothra flies up to the superstorm and throws Megaguirus in there, electrocuting her, before Mothra slams Megaguirus down on one of the volcanoes, immolating her to death. Both Moth Siblings and Abaddon roar triumphantly as Mothra uses her God Rays to dispel the superstorm. Mothra looks at Abaddon, who seems to give her and Battra a look of respect, before he flies off.
Mothra is seen patrolling over the skies of the Amazon Rainforest, until she is greeted by Battra, as both the Moth Siblings exchange a cute little bioluminescent show of affection towards each other. Both teams of humans watch as Mothra and Battra fly off, casting a bigger light than the sun, and fade to white as the ending scene before credits roll.

2024.05.16 12:36 vSTekk Deco Pro M (gen 2) bulging in top right corner

Hi,
I have been caressing gently my new-ish tablet recently and as i have been running my hand in art glove over the surface of the tablet i noticed that the top right corner of the drawing surface is bulging slightly. Right around the corner of the "active area." Now I have to wonder if it can be a case of spicy pillow, aka battery that is bulging and might be a fire hazard, or is it just a normal surface unevennes due to tech being crammed into this incredibly thin case.
Can anyone with the same device try running their hand flatly on its surface and see if the top right corner is bulging / uneven?
Thanks

Perfect for Public Spaces: In public restrooms, restaurants, and healthcare facilities, maintaining cleanliness is paramount. Foot pedal faucets ensure that users do not have to touch potentially contaminated surfaces, making them ideal for environments where hygiene is crucial.

2. Significant Water Savings

Eco-Friendly Water Use: Foot pedal faucets are designed to be highly efficient. With precise control over water flow, you can quickly turn the water on and off as needed, preventing wastage. This is particularly beneficial in high-traffic areas such as commercial kitchens or busy households.
Automatic Shutoff: Many foot pedal faucets feature automatic shutoff mechanisms, meaning the water stops flowing as soon as you release the pedal. This helps in conserving water and can lead to noticeable reductions in your water bills over time.

3. Ultimate Convenience

Multi-Tasking Made Easy: Whether you’re a chef juggling multiple tasks in a busy kitchen or a parent with your hands full, foot pedal faucets offer unparalleled convenience. You can wash your hands or rinse vegetables without having to manually turn the faucet on and off, allowing you to keep both hands free for other tasks.
Accessible Design: Foot pedal faucets are also an excellent choice for individuals with mobility issues or disabilities. The easy-to-use pedal mechanism makes it simple for everyone to access water without the need for dexterous hand movements.

4. Enhanced Durability and Longevity

Less Wear and Tear: Traditional faucet handles can wear out or break over time due to constant use. Foot pedal faucets, however, experience less physical stress because they are operated by foot, which can extend their lifespan and reduce maintenance costs.
Built to Last: Designed with high-quality materials, foot pedal faucets are built to withstand heavy use. This makes them a reliable and durable choice for both residential and commercial settings, ensuring they remain functional and efficient for years to come.

5. Improved Safety

Prevent Accidents: In environments where safety is a concern, such as commercial kitchens or homes with children, foot pedal faucets provide an added layer of protection. Since the water flow stops immediately when you release the pedal, the risk of accidental overflows or slips due to wet floors is minimized.
Temperature Control: Many foot pedal faucets come with pre-set temperature controls, reducing the risk of scalding accidents. This feature is particularly beneficial for homes with young children or elderly family members, providing a safer water access solution.

Conclusion

Foot pedal faucets are a game-changer in both residential and commercial settings. They offer a blend of hygiene, efficiency, convenience, durability, and safety that traditional faucets simply can't match. Whether you’re looking to improve the cleanliness of your kitchen, save water, or provide easier access for everyone, foot pedal faucets are a smart and innovative choice. Consider making the switch to experience the numerous benefits they bring to your daily routine.

Stick to Paint or switch to Vinyl Wrap?
I have spray painted the sides of my Obsidian a while ago with black. And it always bugged me that a small nick on a hard surface would chip off some paint, like the metal armrest of my chair. I then would just re-spray the chip off.
I have some extra vinyl after resurrecting my Fightstick V3. And I guess my question would be which is more durable between spray paint and vinyl wrap. As it's really bothering me that I can barely take my stick out to events due to the fragility of the side panels.
Black side panels
small chip, but there are more on some areas.
