Hello I recently got a Fenix7x Pro Saphire Solar, I’m loving it but several times so far the power save mode has randomly activated during my workouts, essentially clearing all progress/time in that workout so far.
At first I thought it was maybe due to battery life because the first time happened on lower battery, but today it happened again when the watch was fully charged about 24 hours ago.
Is this something I’m accidentally doing like hitting a button? Is there a way to turn it off/make it stop so this doesn’t keep happening? Thanks!

I've been thinking to dip my toes into the homelab scene for quite some time now and after spending the last week reading up on hardware and software I've finally decide to buy some parts for my first homelab. I’m looking for a replacement to my 2021 MacBook Pro M1 8/256, after 3 and a half years the 8GB of RAM are starting to not be enough (I’m a backend developer, work with AWS, Docker, Rust, Typescript, all that stuff). I’m trying to choose between the T14s / P14s Gen 4 AMD, which is gonna run Ubuntu LTS. What’s your recommendation for this? They’re both at discount in my country, being around 1300€/1180€ respectively (both with 32GB RAM, 512 SSD, R7). I know that the T14 is the same as the P14s, but that one is running for the same price as the T14s.

I think this qualifies as borderline home networking but just to be safe I wanted to post here. (Originally posted in networking but not sure if they'll take my post down.) Anyways, I work for a small company and my laptop has been connecting to certain things extremely slowly. Sometimes videos will load slowly, games are unplayable because of how much lag there is (which may be by design). Other people on the network have reported that their *wireless* devices are having issues too. Wired devices work perfectly fine.
Here's a basic network topography
I did a few tests to try to narrow down possible issues. First was a speedtest (for reference, the company has a gigabit coax plan), which seemed to turn out okay.
Then I wanted to test possible packet loss over WiFi using iperf3 and a server hosted on the same network with a gigabit connection to the switch.
The result of the UDP iperf3 test is as follows:

I've rebooted the network, I've added this device to the top of the Linksys device priority list, and I'm within close proximity of the router. Here's a microsoft paint based mapto give you an idea of how its laid out.
My only working theory at this point is wireless interference between the Spectrum Router and the Linksys Mesh Access Point since they're about a foot from eachother and other devices *could* be interfering but that's about all I have.

First lets take a quick look at some of the trades the Blue Jays have done mid-season in 2024:

• IF Tanner Morris (26) to MIN for $$$
  • Some sad news off the get go...after hitting just .149/.281/.213 with a .494 OPS in AAA, Morris has retired from baseball mid-season. Placed on the voluntary retirement list until his current contract expires at the end of the season.
• LHP Jimmy Robbins (26) to TEX for $$$
  • Has taken the role of emergency depth for the Rangers AAA team and has pitched just 7.1 innings and is rocking a 8.59 ERA, .321 OBA & 2.18 WHIP.
• RHP Wes Parsons (31) to CLE for $$$
  • Filling in his usual role as he uses up his last year of options. Has pitched 4.0 innings in MLB allowing 0 ER and 14.2 innings in AAA having a solid 1.84 ERA. Solid depth pitcher for them but not a mainstay.
• RHP Mitch White (29) to SFG for $$$
  • After allowing 6 ER in 10.0 IP with TOR he was DFA/Traded to SFG where he allowed 7 ER in 5.1 IP before again being DFA/Traded to MIL where has has allowed 2 ER in 3.2 IP. Seems like teams think they can fix him considering they are trading for him. MIL has also been hampered with injuries and internal demotions to their bullpen so his stay might not be long when arms return.

Now lets take a look at some of the players that left the organization in the off-season through trade/waivers that were at one point on the 40-Man roster:

• IF Santiago Espinal (29) to CIN for RHP Chris McElvain (23)
  • Not a great season for Espinal as he has declined even further from his past seasons in all aspects of the game. He is hitting just .200/.252/.284 with an .536 OPS. His defensive metrics suggests he is now a negative player on defence as well. Due to injury he has been given a solid amount of playing time too. McElvain has been solid in A+ but still looks likely to be a future reliever.
• UTL Otto Lopez (25) to SFG for $$$
  • DFA due to the middle-infleid depth the Jays had was then DFA by the SFG even when they were awarded another option year with him. MIA got him for free on waivers as the only claiming team and he has been very solid for them. He earned a quick call-up after having a 1.526 OPS in a week and is carving himself a role in the Majors with some solid hitting and strong defence. He is batting .282/.333/.564 with an .897 OPS in 39 PA. His early power display is very unsustainable though. He is already half way to his career minor league high.
• RHP Yosver Zulueta (26) to CIN via DFA Waivers
  • There was a lot of anger amongst the fanbase with his loss on waivers and while his stuff is still good the production is still no where near where it should be. In 14.1 IP in AAA he has a 5.65 ERA, .267 OBA & 2.02 while striking out 18 and walking 13. Still not sure how he remained on prospect lists as long as he has. He just hasn't been good for awhile now. He does give the vibes off the guy that will randomly break out at age 30/31.
• C Tyler Heineman (32) to NYM to BOS via DFA Waivers
  • Remains the trusty #3 catcher we knew him as. He is just 0-for-1 with 1 HBP at the Major League level but is staying warm in the Red Sox minor league system until he is needed once again. Batting .257./395/.286 with a .681 OPS in AAA. Severn is an upgrade in all departments though except the lack of magic tricks.

Finally, lets take a look into the players that left the organization in free-agency:

• 3B Matt Chapman (31) to SFG (3 Y x $18 M w/ Two Player Opt-Outs)
  • Easily the most talked about departure this season and it feels like beating a dead horse at this point but Chapman has been super terrible. Hitting just .206/.258/.341/.599 with a 73 wRC+ (1.0 bWAR / 0.1 fWAR). His strikeout rate remains as high as ever but his BB% has been nearly cut in half. He has already made 6 errors and his defence has dipped further for the 4th straight season. Chapman has just 2 extra-base hits over his last 82 PA despite having some of the best swing-rates and exit velocities in baseball. Looks like Chapman will be a SFG for the full 3 seasons.
• RHP Jordan Hicks (27) to SF (4 Y x $11.0 M)
  • Arguably the only "big" contract the Giants have signed that have given them their value for their money. Converting back to a starter has worked wonders for him as he has posted a 2.44 ERA / 3.21 FIP, .220 OBA & 1.15 WHIP. He has taken a good 3 mph off his fastball which has led to a decrease in strikeouts, whiffs and more harder contact against but it has led to an increase and sustained improvement in control. 5.0 IP does seem to be his limit most nights and there are some long-term questions about stamina and durability but so far he has been worth ever penny. If things do now wrong e can always be converted back to an RP and his contract still won't look bad.
• 2B/OF Whit Merrifield (35) to PHI (1 Y x $7 M w/ Club Option for $8.0 M)
  • Age seems to have properly caught up to Whit who is just hitting .188/.261/.300 with a .561 OPS in 80 AB with is just a 62 wRC+ (0.1 bWAR / -0.1 fWAR). His savant page portrays him as one of the worst hitters in baseball and his defence is now of negative value. Phillies had him hitting lead-off for 3 straight games recently where he went 1-for-15 before being demoted again.
• RHP Adam Cimber (33) to LAA (1 Y x $1.65 M)
  • After struggling with injuries and inconsistency at the end of his Jays tenor he has rebounded back with LAA to being a solid mid-usage arm. Posting a respectable 4.00 ERA, .214 OBA & 1.00 WHIP. His numbers are misleading though as outside of 2 meltdowns he has been shutdown. He is one of the heaviest used bullpen arms in baseball and has only allowed an ER in 3-of-19 appearances. Should fetch the Angels a decent prospect at the trade deadline.
• RHP Jay Jackson (36) to MIN (1 Y x $1.3 M w/ Club Option for $3.0 M)
  • Jackson has not had a great season with MIN as he is rocking a 6.20 ERA, .244 OBA & 1.28 WHIP.He has allowed at least 1 ER in more than half his appearances. It seems like MIN will likely not pick-up their club option on his contract at this rate. It is unfortunate to see after how important he was for us last season. Glad he got his money though.
• SP Hyun Jin Ryu (37) to Hanwha Eagles (KBO) (8 Y x $1.6 M)
  • Ryu signed the largest contract in KBO League history this offseason which keeps him in the organization until his mid-40's. In 49.0 IP he has 5.33 ERA, 1.45 WHIP & 47 SO vs. 14 BB. Haven't watched him nor seen his game-to-game production but the face value numbers don't look great. To be fair he was likely never playing most of the contract anyways.

Over the years I’ve spent a ton of time (maybe too much) researching pedals and planning out different pedalboard configurations. I’ve used various of tools to do this in the past but I’ve always wanted them to do so much more.
That’s why I’ve been working on pedalboard.app. If you’re familiar with existing pedal planning tools, then you already know the basics of how it works. Here are some special aspects of pedalboard.app:

• Explore pedalboards built by the community. Are you in need of some inspiration for your next pedalboard? Trying to build an ambient board or a board for metal but don’t know where to start? The homepage of pedalboard.app lets you browse pedalboards by the genre they’re used for.
  
• Save pedalboards. Have more than one layout idea for your pedalboard or see a pedalboard you want to reference later? You can click the save button on any pedalboard to keep it in your account (accounts are optional).
  
• Share your pedalboard with a link. Want to show your pedalboard to someone? No need to send a screenshot or share a diagram made in MS Paint (i’ve tried it, wouldn't recommend). Every pedalboard saved in pedalboard.app has a unique link that can be shared anywhere. Click the link and there’s your pedalboard.
  
• Check compatibility of your pedals & power supply. I’ve helped several friends & bandmates debug issues with their power supplies and have always felt that it should be way easier to spot incompatibilities between your pedals and power supply before you buy. In the pedalboard.app, if you add a power supply to your board, it will check the compatibility between your pedals and power supply for you automatically!
  
• Simulate the cable space on your pedalboard. Knowing the space your cables take up on the board is critical to making sure your pedals are actually going to fit. Pedalboard.app is aware of the cable and power input locations of every pedal in the database and you can even choose they type of patch cables you’re using, either standard or flat, to dial in a realistic fit.
  
• Browse through a huge collection of pedals, boards & power supplies. It’s a personal goal of mine to compile the largest collection of pedals on the web. I’ve got a long way to go before I hit that goal but there are already a few thousand pedals available so far with more being added daily. If I’m missing your favorite pedal, board or power supply please let me know! You can also always add custom pedals or boards to your pedalboard if something you need is missing.

Hi all. I am a hobbyist/DIY enthusiast/handy-home-gamer. I’d like to start (re)building my core hand tools kit.
While I’ve picked up quite a few general construction, auto and powebattery tools, I’ve realized that my primary hand tools are still based around a big-box-style Crescent 150 pc starter kit (ratchet, wrenches and sockets) supplemented with inexpensive impacts, one-off Craftsman or Husky-type items. I don’t mind investing in quality, but my livelihood doesn’t depend on it and I’d like to keep a reasonable budget.
Seeking advice on brand and selection. Should I starts fresh with Icon, Quinn, Pittsburgh Pro, other? Build piecemeal or start with a ‘master kit’ (even if duplication of existing items). Thanks so much!!

I’m running protect on my Cloud Key 2+ and have 4 cameras set up. I notice a huge difference in system speed from when I only had 2 cameras. When I get a notification that one of the cameras has detected motion it takes several seconds before I can watch the footage. I’m guessing the Cloud Key is just not powerful enough. Thinking of getting the NVR Pro. Will that help, or is the protect software just slow after X cameras?

He'd move to America and use his talents to pull off high-scale burglary, working for any group that could afford his fee, including the Communist party, Hydra or the Green Goblin. His elicit activity brought him into conflict with the Hulk, Iron Man and most often Spider-Man, all of whom had to act with great caution when the Chameleon was in town. After all, which one of them could tell if that unassuming civilian or their own ally was preparing to stab them in the back?
Dmitri has some mental hangups over his time with the Kravinoffs. He’s managed to repress the memories and considered himself good friends with his half-brother Kraven. In reality, he was more like a whipping boy and slave to the Hunter, and when he has to wrestle with those feelings, he can mentally revert to that scared little boy with no strong sense of identity or independence. But when he’s able to move past these feelings, the Chameleon has proved himself as a powerful, manipulative force, finding his place as temporary Crime Master of New York and member of the Sinister Six.

He also had a specially designed costume that reacted the same way to stimuli. All of these pieces allowed the Chameleon to completely copy someone’s appearance and replicate it through thought alone.

• He kidnaps Spider-Man and imprisons him in Ravencroft Asylum. He then unmasks the hero, puts a realistic mask and straightjacket on him and attempts to gaslight Peter, through the use of psychoactive drugs and fabricated evidence, into believing he’s another man named Herbert Smith. This ruse does convince Peter for a good while until he later remembers his life with Mary Jane.
• He implies that he might be able to disguise his psyche from the telepathic X-Men member, No-Girl, although the claim is not actually proven
• Off-panel, he killed a man, cut off his face and used it for a temporary mask

   I work very slow. I don’t have problems working faster for a while, but if is too much starts to annoy me. We works humankind needs recurses to act and solve our existencial and material problems. But i can’t exclude other forces among work like capital, the human “progress”. The parameters for my work is something abstract, technological, creative and philosophical. I often like write about ideas, deal with machines and computers, reading about political philosophy. I have problems to get a job on those areas because i dont have iniciative to chase it.
   
2. How do you determine the quality of work? How do you determine the quality of a purchase? Do you pay any attention to it?
   I determine the quality of work if it brings expected results and seems organized. The same for a purchase. I don’t pay any attention for it, i just want may these things fulfill their role, whatever the cost.

I would know he is a professional because he/she have a whole theorical and pratical (how to do) informations about something. Well informed, decisive, calm and chill, deeply in their knowledge.

Hierarchy is an “effective” way to organize most people in society, and its a good way to exploit at the same time. I dont need it, i work better for my own because i have a good vision of situations. Hierarchy its just a way to organize people with no imagination, inteligence or self control to works better and become “usefull” for society. Its a tool for efficience and control.

Classification is a way to agroup similar things or parts of the whole for better understanding. As a said before is for best understanding. I just became independent of them. I organize my life in a way i can’t be bothered by them. When i need to do, or defend my interests i just use argumentations and my polite nature to get it.

I don’t find it. My room is usually a mess. My harmony It’s disturbing when someone takes that relaxation away from me.

No they not change. The essence of people’s character never really change. People just change when they make a good self critic and its very hard sees someone who does that.

1. How do you feel and experience time? Can time be wasted? How? Yes. You can estimate how much time a task takes. You can plan how you wanna use your time. You can set deadlines for whatever you are doing. Time can be wasted on things you don't value because you can't gain back time.

Time is very important to me. I can see things very distant in my imagination but act abour this is hard. So i waste times often with relaxing times or doing activities out my plans. I dont set deadlines, i just know what i want to do and for how long to give the next step. I guess the absence of deadlines destroys my progress.

No it isnt exist. All things can be described by words instead being difficult to do.

I usually antecipate the worse possibilitie and act towards that to avoid it. I think if this worse never happen, i’ll be surprise for something godd and will be prepared for anything bad.

Every situation. We need to know how long you can waste time and when stop. Waiting for a rigth momment is important for not waste energy with bullshit. The right momment is always builded before.

Hello all, this is my first post on this sub (this is also a new Reddit account, though I’ve technically been active for 7+ years) and I’m hoping that some of ya’ll could offer some help / advice.
I want to start by saying that I am 31 year old male, 5’8” and 165lbs. I have absolutely zero motorcycle experience, I do (personally) consider myself an above-average driver, but not anywhere near professional or semi-professional level. I’ve never rode a dirt bike, or any 2-wheeled motorized vehicle that features a clutch and sequential gearbox. The extent of my motor-vehicle experience is cars, pickups and quads/atvs.
My father is 65yo, and he’s been riding on 2 wheels since he was 12, throughout my childhood he always seemed to own at least 2 motorcycles at any given time. He now rides an R1200RT. I have ALWAYS wanted to start riding and I have always had interest in buying one, but previous stupid financial choices in my life kind of prevented me from wanting to get one. Recently, I’ve felt more prepared to pull the trigger on a bike.
Right now, with my current given knowledge and understanding, I was thinking of a bike somewhere between 300-400cc
How I figure it, is I’m looking for something lighter and nimble with lower seat height, but also with just enough power to ride at 60-70mph without the bike struggling. So I guess, I’m looking for the minimum size/weight bike that can still handle 45 mins at freeway/highway speeds?
Currently, the Duke 390 and the MT-03 seem to both appeal to me.
With my lack of experience and knowledge on motorcycles, is this a good place to start or should I totally be looking at something else?
Any advice and recommendations would be tremendously helpful. Thanks.
TLDR; is 300-400cc range, more specifically bikes similar to Duke 390 and MT-03 good beginner motorcycles for a guy with absolutely ZER0 riding experience?

I have been using Windows most of my life and I am at a point where I need to walk away from it. Microsoft has become worse than what Norton used to be. My exposure to Linux is limited, but I have extensive technical background and I am able to fix most things by doing proper searching on the internet. I know that Linux will have some hiccups, but I want to put my time and effort to make it work to my expectations. But I have a few concerns that I need to iron out before I make this transition. Firstly, my plan is to run Linux Mint, maybe the Cynammon version, with a Windows 10 LTSC VM machine for work tools that I will have to use and that are not available on Linux. 1. Are there ways to force HDR into Linux right now? I've read articles that there is work done on this front and also that Steam OS might have some options built for the Steam Deck, but I am not quite clear if HDR is impossible right now, or if it's just something that needs a lot of tinkering to achieve before something better is developed. 2. I have a gaming laptop and I need to know in what state are the nVidia drivers right now. I know that there were issues before and I have a system with an AMD processor and Nvidia 3070 gpu with a mux switch and I am a bit concerned to have issues on this front. 3. Because I needed a full security package, I use BitDefender VPN, not often, but it's essential that I have it for ocasional work related stuff. What is the current state of VPN clients on Linux? Since Kape technologies has butchered most VPN companies, I am a bit out of the loop. 4. I need an advanced power configuration tool to do stuff like limiting my battery charging to 70%, to extend it's lifespan. How is the Linux part of this? 5. Finally, what are some things to look for while doing a fresh install.
For almost everything I have already did my own research, but I am also looking for some other opinions. I can't go on with Windows anymore for my personal stuff. Since windows 8, they have been worse and worse.

I used to be a die-hard Windows gamer, but this year, I took the plunge into university life and needed something more portable. Enter the M1 Pro (1TB). I gifted my trusty gaming rig to my dad—his old PC was on its last legs, and it felt like the right move.
I was pretty happy with the Mac for everyday use and school tasks, but I thought my gaming days were on hold for a few years. That was until I discovered Crossover and some emulators. Talk about a game-changer! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this little beast running triple-A games like a champ.
And then came Ryujinx. Running games even better than my Switch? I was sold. So much so that I ended up selling my Switch, which I had originally bought for some casual gaming, thinking my Mac couldn’t handle it.

I recently switched racket from my usual HH (Astrox 70 BG 66 ultimax 24-26 lbs) to an even balanced racket (Arc 7P Exbolt 65 23 lbs). I missed the decisiveness, control and speediness of this racket. I was just amazed last night as I was doing my drills and net shots. At first I thought I’m going to lose power while doing clears and smash but it wasn’t the case. Net shots and drive shots were a piece of cake. I was in love with the racket all over again. I might stick with the 7 Pro for a while and see how it goes.
P.S. the 7 pro was my 2nd racket when I first started learning badminton. Initially, I was training with a 3U Arc11 P and it was hurting my shoulder. So, I switched to a more beginner friendly racket.

I am using the UDM pro since 3 years now and a week ago I got the Cloud Gateway Ultra which I bought for testing.
