Yeah I know, 12 yo is kinda “too young” to be worrying about this but I promise I honestly think it is vital for my health or else I might turn overweight. I am about 200 pounds and 5’6 and I don’t look it. I ask around what weight I look like I have and most answer 120-140 and it’s never even close to higher unless they joke and say 300. I felt like the strongest guy in 5th grade last year because I could beat most people in a race and everybody in an arm wrestle but now my “strength” is starting to wither as what I thought was strength was just some muscle and more fat. I saw some of my P.E classmates flex their abs which I didn’t think was that possible at our age but now I’m growing a habit of jealousy and I’d like to fill that hole. How do I start to either lose weight or start gaining muscle at this age. I feel that this summer could be the perfect time to start as I have all the time in the world. My sister has dumbbells and we do have a rower in the garage but what can u do just to be more subtle and gain muscle or to eat well on a better diet for this age as I don’t know how much of a difference my age could effect the way I achieve my goal as I am not a professional or an adult. I also have kids already started making sugar free açaí bowls everyday with chia seeds, flaxseeds, and hemp seeds to start to clean my digestive system (I think that’s what it does) and I would love to also know how much that is helping and if I’m consuming too much everyday ( I use one tea spoon per ingredient). Please if you have any info I would love to hear it.

I 17f have been working at a company for over 2 years. Recently I have been really busy and I have a lot of stuff going on in my life. From high school graduation to injuries to sickness, you name it, it happened this past month. Some context: I am on antidepressants that make my immune system a little bit weaker than normal so I’m more prone to sicknesses and the only reason I stay on it is because it works like a charm my grandmother who is my legal guardian has been extremely busy for the past year because we adopted two little girls, her step-grandchildren. one of whom had gotten sexually assaulted. So she’s busy with court and therapy and everything for them. I lived with my grandmother and grandfather since I was 2 months old, all the way up until June of last year. this has been extremely hard on me as I have nowhere to direct my anger. I don’t wanna sound like a stuck up little brat, but I’ve always been an only child. This happened out of nowhere, and we was also told that they would only be there for five months max, it’s been over two years. I cannot direct my anger at those little girls because I’m not that kind of person and it is NOT their fault that they got sexually assaulted, I also cannot direct my anger at my grandmother or grandfather bc They were just trying to do a good thing and help these girls. However, I no longer get to go out on Saturday girls dates with my grandmother and my my grandfather never gets to take me fishing anymore. They are old and they will not be here much longer, I would love to spend my time with them, but I can’t because they are so busy. They didn’t even come to my senior prom Pictures.. i’ve been struggling on where to put my anger. Which has left me tremendously depressed and always angry and anxious. So excuse me if I don’t wanna work my shift a day. because I have no motivation. I literally feel like I lost my family. They were like my mother and father and it’s almost like they are just gone. My grandmother as I mentioned is always busy so I don’t direct my anger towards her at all and I don’t want to sound like I’m being mean but I told her in December 2023 that my Therapy Place had appointments for me, one of which was my one year therapy assessment, my one year medicine assessment, and a nursing assessment, all of my Therapy Place would not let me schedule as I’m not 18 yet. I don’t know if she simply just forgot or just didn’t care, however I have slowly been running out of medicine and I am now taking 25 mg of a medicine that I’m supposed to be taking 150 mg of. This is the same medicine that causes me to be sick occasionally. it really happens whenever I take one and then forget to take one the next day so this drastic change of 150mg to 25mg in the span of 2 months has not been ideal. It’s making me sick and angry and sad and crazy. All of this has also been causing a lot of issues in my relationship with my boyfriend 18m. We’re arguing all the time and it’s not helping anything. So I have a lot going on. And yes, I have been calling out a lot, however, everything with graduation I told my ex boss about a MONTH ago. This is not new information. Out of NOWHERE he scheduled me to work around 40 hours (my normal hours are about 15-20 a week as I’m working on school and applying to colleges and focused on graduation ) However, today he feels the need to call me and explain to me in passive aggressive words how I am making his and everyone else’s life harder and saying a few other things which all equaled up to “your a big inconvenience for everyone” This alone really hurt as my boss and I always got along ok. He knew what I was going through but assumed I was a liar despite me being a manager for 2 years now and still felt the need to call me and tell me how much of a problem I am. I was honestly going to let this slide and work my last shift and then tell him not to put me on the schedule anymore. But this is when I called my best friend for advice! Then she proceeds to tell me, my boss and another female coworker were stalking my social media accounts to see if I was really hurt. ( I had an ankle injury caused by tripping over my dress walking out of prom.) And I’m not going to lie to you. I really really really hurt my ankle. I was wearing a boot. I have been cooped up in the house for about a week and a half and I was sick and tired of it. My sister and her boyfriend and my boyfriend were all over and we decided we want to go to topgolf. I figured I had rested enough and I was really eager to get out of the house. I got all dressed up and was wearing my boot as we went into Topgolf! Only to find out that we had to be 21 or older to go past the certain time. We tried to get our older siblings to come, but they were busy! I had gotten all dressed up for the first time in a while and I wanted to take some Instagram pictures. That way it didn’t feel like I got dressed up for nothing. I took my boot off and slipped a regular shoe on as I didn’t want to wear a big ass boot in my instagram photos. The girls that get it get it! In all of these pictures, I either have my hurt foot up off of the ground or I am holding it up equal to my knee. Because as I said it really hurt. So I posted my pictures and all was fine. I also made a few tick-tock‘s. Well apparently both of these actions were illegal. As my boss and his suck up of a coworker felt the need to stalk my social media to see if I was lying I guess. Here’s the reasoning behind why he’s a creep: - 40 yr old man who only hires teen girls. -Would always show up 5 mins after my shift started claiming he had work to do but then would sit in the office with me just to try and chat. - anytime he would arrive I would simply move my things out of the office and set out by the serving area to which he would say “ I didn’t kick you out you can come sit back here with me” - gave me sexual looks more than one time. - places security cameras in odd places such as facing the backs of his workers so he can look at their asses I’m guessing ( it’s not just one camera it’s all of them) - there’s been claims of him sexually assaulting his workers in the past (just found this out) from a previous coworker who was told this by someone who worked at a different location of the company -multiple workers have quit because they felt uncomfortable around him.

* Smut/erotica - I don't mind romance or even sex if it isn't described in detail. I just don't want any XXX scenes weirdly in the middle of my action/adventure stories - infrequent "R-rated" equivalent scenes are fine.
* Harem - Even when they aren't smut and they aren't misogynistic, I don't want that much relationship stuff/romance in my action/adventure stories
* Any kind of hate - Mostly I've only encountered misogyny, but a couple of the translated Russian authors I've read are homophobic - more ignorance than hate, but I'm still not interested.
Thanks in advance! I know that this is a tall order, but I see a thread like this every few months and I get a lot of great recommendations out of them, so I know that these help more than just the OP.

I've been really starting to enjoy Palia. I still have my issues with the game (mostly the fact that it's not an MMO and really COULD BE) but I think they've made some good improvements and hopefully the trend continues. So for fun I'd figured we'd all discuss systems and features that could improve Palia or something we'd just like to see in the future. That being said here is my comprehensive list of things that I think would improve Palia. (If theres anything in my list that has been confirmed by the devs plz feel free to mention it. I just play the game I don't pay much attention to possible rumors ect.)

1. A MUSEUM. Oh yes we getting straight into this. I'd love to have a museum to add items to. Perhaps make it shared with community members or server wide (each player gets a donation displayed in the servers museum.) This would make the community feel more connected for sure and to go into my next point.
2. Consistent servers!!!! Now I'm not saying servers should be bigger (they should lmfao) BUT my point is that going to my home should not put me in a new server. I should choose a server for my character OR choose a consistent server upon login. If this is a social game we really need this server issue solved.
3. Neighborhoods? Ok so I don't HATE having the housing plot completely alone BUT being able to access other players houses by some way of walking there (even if its other gates that load me there idc) being able to wander around and see others players housing would be really cool and feel more community based. OR having a housing board to visit any players home across any server like a gallery would be VERY cool.
4. CHAT BUBBLES. I think its hilarious they added proximity chat just to not add chat bubbles. If somebody walks up to me and tries to speak and I'm not paying attention to chat, a chat bubble would be a serious life saver and much more immersive.
5. Seasons/Weather!!!! I have no idea if this is planned for the future but seasons and weather that affect crops as well as seasonal crops, special items that drop during specific season/weather. Stuff like that. GOD i want to have rainy days in palia with special fish to catch based on weather PLEASE. SNOWY PALIA WOULD GO SO HARD.
6. Ok I know it's a stretch and I know a lot of yall hate combat. But really simple combat would be FUN. No overland enemies just dungeons to enter and explore. To keep it more chill and stress free I don't even think it needs a hp/dying system (or keep it in the dungeon only like health pots on the ground as you run the dungeon). Literally just let me whack monsters with a sword (or my fancy bow *wink wink* and add a snazzy dodge button. Even big shared bosses for players to collect rare mats/items.
7. ANIMALSSSSS. Let me have chickens and cows PLEASE IM BEGGING AND SCREAMING. I WANNA RAISE ANIMALS AND COLLECT MY OWN MILK BRO.
8. Last one but a COMMUNITY CENTER. Not like in the town but each community can make a community center. I know a ton of yall got tons of furniture you're not using. It would be cool if the community leaders (idk if theres a leadership system in there but if there isn't add that to the list lmfao) could buy a plot for shared spaces for members to build on.

BONUS. A BARTER BOARD. there's already a request system so just turn that into a board in town and then make them into trades. So if joe needs some carrots I can be like "hey joe i got carrots but you got tomatoes?" and then he can accept my barter. BARTER BOARD.
Most of my suggestions are based around the multiplayer aspect but S6 keeps calling this game an MMO so they need to start treating it like one. Its definitely not an MMO in its current state lmfao. But it could be!

Love it or hate it, this topic is essential for everyone to chew on, the sooner, the better. Esp the whole lot of PAP supporters that would come over here can spam the downvotes.
This would be what I would deem as Lee Hsien Loong's most damaging legacy in political office - his use of state organs to cultivate political idolatry in Singapore.
Case in point, his use of tax dollars to create social studies and national education in Singapore.
If you have been through the education system or had a look of social studies textbooks from cover to cover, which is not difficult to do so, you will notice a few things - 1) these materials are personally written by the PAP-controlled MOE's curriculum planning division. Textbooks of other subjects are written by private publishers. 2) In these materials, we can see one general theme - "PAP's policies are the best". "PAP is the best". "Only the PAP is good for Singapore". "Only The Leader in Lee is good for Singapore". Few discussion on the downsides to or criticisms of PAP policies, and if there are, its always in favour of the PAP's narratives.
Now, some of you might say or think, "these textbooks are for Secondary School students, they are not ready to digest issues of policy or political debate". I would say, I don't think so. In Geography and History (esp that on international issues), different sides to an issue would be presented, especially in Geography, when topics such as development and "geography of food" is discussed. Hence, why can't at least the downsides and criticism of policies like Singapore's healthcare policies, foreign talent policies, the GRC system, just be stated in these MOE-written social studies textbooks, for the sake of balance and objectivity?
Because there is no intention for such. The purpose of National Education and social studies is not for objective discussion. It is to ingrain in the minds and hearts of the people of Singapore that only the PAP, in particular LKY, made Singapore so great, that she is machiam the "best the in the world". It is to cast the PAP and the Lees as the quasi-gods of Singapore, in an unspoken manner. Case in point, just look at all the CNA documentaries on LHL the weeks leading to the leadership handover - all gushing over how LHL is the best, the most brilliant. No qs asked on very questionable things that happened under his (LHL's) watch, such as 38 Oxley Road, the "presidential election" of 2017, or the constant increases of GST, in particular, that slated for 2023-24, all while $900 million of taxpayer dollars was used to bail out SPH, even though 1) SG would not be in a "no media" scenario if SPH sinks and 2) the money could come from Temasek Holdings' investment monies!
This deliberate cultivation of political idolatry is the most damaging part of LHL's legacy, even possibly LKY's legacy - when his son launched National Education (the vehicle for the problem in qs) (https://www.nlb.gov.sg/main/article-detail?cmsuuid=44fa0306-ddfe-41bc-8bde-8778ff198640#2), LKY refused to speak up against it or stop it behind closed doors, even though he might at least have some leverage to do so as Senior Minister.
The Lees were painted as "servants of people" and "people who gave their lives to Singapore". But this act of cultivating political idolatry raises serious qs on that narrative - are they really people who "gave their lives for Singapore", as altruists? Or are they only interested in ensuring that their family legacy and political power remains entrenched? (Sidenote - there are serious qs on this, esp in how LHL is still very much in cabinet as Senior Minister. At the very least, there is the impression he will still have a significant measure of power behind the curtains. If indeed LHL is really not interested in political power or legacy, why don't he step aside completely, like what Hu Jintao of China did when his term expired in 2012, in resigning from all his political offices?)
And at what cost? Maintaining authoritarian cultures in schools that prioritise conformity. How are these useful in producing students with the innovative dexterity to adapt to this new economy? Is it any wonder why Singapore has been criticised for having a dearth in innovation, or, if there are articles praising Singapore for innovation, these so-called innovation are copy-cats of existing models, like how Grab is a copy-cat of Uber?
And the other qs is, is producing this Singapore sonderwag healthy for Singapore? Mao Zedong's cultural revolution was able to succeed through his ability to cast himself as the quasi-god of China, of whom the people are obliged to bow their knee at the altar. Some scholars have (partially) attributed Hitler's rise to the long running German sonderwag - "Germany should not adopt British ways of liberal democracy, and German authoritarianism and ways are what made Germany the great nation she is".
Sounds familiar? As such based on precedence of history as laid out in the above para, it would be foolishly naive if we think the legacy of Lee's actions won't come back to haunt us, down the road.

Hey all,
My museum suffered its first artifact theft since I've been there and it's been quite disheartening to say the least. Luckily for us/me it was a modern artifact so I can easily replace it.
Long story short, we are more of a reactive and less proactive setting. I advised in initial development we needed to do something to secure this exhibit and it's items and my concerns were dismissed. Now that the theft has occurred its my responsibility to find a solution to prevent it from happening again.
I'm hoping anyone can point me in a viable direction. Caveats that make it exceptionally difficult:

1. I'm being told that "we" have $0. Unfortunately, as a defacto Curator I'm not allowed access to the budget so while I know these statements are not accurate, I don't have much cash to work with and have 0 insight into a realistic budget for any solution.
   
2. Our space focuses on design and esthetic above all else. Installing cable locks or another very apparent and present solution won't be approved as it'll "ruin the experience".
   

Current measures already include a robust camera system, roving docents, and some (but not all, because you know...design) artifacts are tied to their displays utilizing fish line.
Does anyone have any creative, less visible deterrents that they've deployed successfully?

Kylea was unable to walk and talk without becoming and staying short of breath. That is abnormal for someone who claims to have walked daily for almost 3 years. 🤔
   

She is proud of herself for the "courage" it took to book a cheap flight because life is short. I think the Missouri Courts and hospital system would be proud of her if she paid her medical judgments instead.

False allegations are dangerous, and I walk a fine line in these recaps. We are to the point, I felt the need to provide a domestic violence resource and say this: I feel it is inappropriate for Kylea to repeatedly produce monetized content where "Joe" appears to make posts under her account and name. Furthermore, it is not okay to influence 138k+ followers to emasculate their partner, treat them like a servant, imply you control access to preferred foods, and shared finances in your absence. Concern is growing. This type of monetized content is triggering for victims of intimate partner violence and needs to end. ☮️

1. Slurpees at 7-Eleven: Kylea claims she remembers her 1st Slurpee from when she was 3-4 years of age. Debate erupts when Kylea claims her 32oz Fanta Dragon Fruit Slurpee is zero sugar, and a wise follower informs her it has "about 36 grams of carbs and almost 800mg of sodium." Kylea argues with this woman and eventually deletes the post instead of issuing a statement with the proper nutrition information. I feel that Kylea does not understand the basics of carbs vs. sugar. Influencing followers with complex medical conditions to drink a 32-oz Slurpee is inappropriate without a disclaimer.

I may or may not have swallowed my tongue piercing yesterday (the whole thing) and it showed back up a few hours ago. It has since been soaking in pure vinegar since I don't have rubbing alcohol at home right now but it doesn't feel safe to wear yet. Especially since it's my tongue and the piercing made a trip through my whole digestive system. How do I properly sterilize it? Boiling? Or should I ask a piercer nearby if they can and would sterilize it for me?
Forgot to add, it's surgical steel. I know titanium is better but since I have no nickel allergies I'm not in a rush to replace all of my jewellery at the same time. I do it piece by piece

Heres the truth: you don't smell like shit because of constipation. You smell like shit because the vagal nerves essentially is halfway online from lack of proper nutrition or nervous damage. The digestive process that suppresses the smell of shit from certain amino acids such as tryptophan and methionine is not receiving signals from vagal nerves thus making you give off the poop gas as food is being formed into stool.
Best supplements for it are wild cod or alaskan fish oil, lipoic acid, althiamine and CDC choline. The fish oil, lipoic acid are most important.
Also be sure to look up exercises for vagus nerve, meditation practices, and other forms of therapy including aromatherapy. DM me for anymore information. The smell should go away regardless if you have to shit or not within 3 days or less. No need for any bullshit diets.

Well... as the title says. My son is 12 years old and I am at a complete loss.
These issues have been going on for 2 years.
He managed to get around parental controls to download discord by getting into my email and approving the download/deleting evidence. I had stopped checking his phone because I thought I had everything ironclad this time. There are multiple conversations between him and other people. I am certain one of these people is an adult, while the other one is a teenager. The three others spoke like they were trying too hard to be child-like, so I deduce they were also adults.
Extremely graphic, inappropriate conversations were had. Images were exchanged as well, either of themselves or of furries.
I want to take his phone completely away because what I am currently doing is not working. What I have been doing for the past 2 years is clearly not working. Every single time he has his device back, something like this happens. I have had the conversation with him millions of times. I've had him watch internet safety videos. I've explained all the dangers, both physical, mental, and emotional. I understand that children of today's world are being raised in the true age of technology, where it is exceedingly difficult to prevent their access without it taking an emotional/mental toll. This is because children, much like adults, are addicted to the great internet.
Today, he told me he went to bed at 8pm because he was so tired. When I looked at his phone, he was awake until 3am on a NSFW voice channel with the teen. I'm disturbed by this and he simply will not stop. The lies were easy to believe and that bothers me, too.
I only checked his phone today because he was talking to me about various guns and I was confused as to where that was coming from. I also discovered he was using Roblox (which is a known no) as a way to meet other furries and have interactions with them. It is mostly boys/men.
Would I be an absolute asshole if I just did not give him his phone back? Reset and pocket it?
(When I tell you we went through this in great detail, I mean I made a PowerPoint presentation. I made an interactive worksheet for him. I went through and found the best, most informative, easy to digest videos that help children understand internet safety. I have spent 2 years teaching my own seminar on internet safety, internet etiquette, and so on. I was as thorough and vigilant as I possibly could be. I did everything I possibly could and it did not work. Not sure how to navigate this moving forward as I have covered all the bases.)
& I feel it would be too much trouble to change my password routinely to prevent this from happening again. My daughter talks to her grandparents & aunts using my devices, and my partner also uses my devices on a day to day basis. It isn't a feasible option. I don't know what to do. I don't want to be mean/restrict him but at this point, idk what else to do. Sorry this is a long post. I am trying to make this all make sense. My reaction to the entire thing was: "Go sit down and read a book until I'm ready to talk to you." So that is what he is currently doing. I have a hard time reacting in the moment because I have to sit and process before determining the right response. Right now, I struggle (autism).
If this post is removed, can anyone tell me where do I even go to ask for advice? I know that I'm a parent and I should figure everything out on my own. I've been doing that; I just feel really lost.

Hormagaunts both have a digestive system and are capable of reproduction, and assuming that other bioforms are capable of doing so, or even evolving or adapting, a planet could have a Tyranid presence without the hive mind or genestealers.
I was thinking about a feudal world that had a Tyranid infestation long before they joined the imperium, and the imperium just supplied them with gene spliced horses in order to get a sort of self training knightly rough rider regiment. I wanted possible canon examples to compare to.
I remember the start of the mechanicus dlc for Inquisitor Martyr had a planet that was infested by feral Tyranids, but I wanted more canon examples.

I'm hoping you can give me ideas on next steps for my system, as I've lost over half of my tilapia at this point and I'm not sure what else to do. First, here are details about my system:

• It's a https://www.aquaponicsusa.net/fgs-65 which includes
• 500 gallon tank
• Two grow-beds that are each 8'x4'x1' and filled with leca
• Large pump that cycles to both grow beds and includes a strong jet of water that provides some aeration
• Two large air-stones connected to an air pump that provide a lot of aeration
• Four Mars Hydro FC-4800 LED lights, two above each bed

Started with 75 blue tilapia fingerlings almost a year ago. Five died over the first couple of weeks and then everything was stable until about four weeks ago. Fish grew, plants grew, water chemistry remained stable.
Then, we started seeing tilapia die off, some with visible lesions. Water chemistry was unchanged. Tried the following over the next days and weeks:

• Stopped all feeding for a few days to see if that would have any effect
• Next two 50% water exchanges over a period of a week
• Then an antibiotic water treatment I found at a pond store
• Pulled many of the plants from the beds in case there was a pocket of anaerobic bacteria somewhere or rotting roots
• Also pulled the pipes for the bell siphons and cleaned out any debris (some roots from vegetation we'd grown in the beds and small bits of leca)
• Sprayed the surface of the leca with 3% hydrogen peroxide several times
• Most recently tried Fritz Bacter Shield

The die-off has gotten much better, going from a high of losing four fish in one day to one fish per week, but I'm not sure what else to try now. Water chemistry remains good. I don't know of any water testing companies that could diagnose micro-organisms in the water. I tried finding a veterinarian who dealt with fish but there isn't one in my state.
Some of the tilapia who died have lesions or "blushing" that could be bacterial, but could also be parasitic or viral. I don't know tilapia enough to recognize the difference, and what I've read on other sites seems inconclusive. Other tilapia died without anything visibly wrong.
I'd appreciate any help from the community. I'd love to know what I've done wrong or am doing wrong and fix it before I lose many more.
