Hear me out.
Cassiopeia currently possesses 630 base HP, 350 base mana, 18 armor, and 32 magic resist. She operates out to a maximum range of 700, after which her DPS falls off a cliff as only her Q can reach further.

Mana

At level 2, Cassiopeia has 393 mana before items and runes, going up to 700-750 with the full combination of starting tear, and getting manaflow stacks. Cassiopeia's Q takes 0.25s to cast, and 0.65 seconds from input to detonation, factoring for cast time. Every missed Q is 50 mana. Every missed E is 50 mana.
A level 2 Annie with a 65 HP rune and a Doran's Ring possesses 788 HP and 31 Magic resist (30.94). In practice, this is 1031 Effective Health (give or take).
Before AP, this is would require 14 spellcasts to kill assuming we have no AP, or 12-13 if we do have AP runes. This is 600-700 mana.
At level 2, if we do not have full mana, we literally cannot kill a full HP Annie by committing 100% of our mana to the kill without the aid of runes. Even then, we can only barely skirt over the threshold if we hit literally everything. Remember that this is a character who literally has to start Tear of the Goddess in most matchups because our mana economy is that bad, so we're at a stat disadvantage.
This is not to say Cassiopeia should win lane. It is to say that if we are at 75% mana, we should not have to cower in fear because we literally lack the damage to kill an Annie 1v1 before we are out of mana. God forbid they have Barrier or Heal, because we can't do a damn thing then. This is why we often build Rod of Ages even though it's not a very good item. Catalyst of Aeons actually gives us mana to burn in fights.
When compared to Swain, Swain starts with 118 more mana than Cassiopeia, better range, and lower mana costs. When compared to Annie, Cassiopeia possesses less mana, but lower mana costs roughly even with the lower mana pool.

Damage

Noxious Blast has a 90% AP Ratio over its full duration, in spite of literally never being used for its damage. Miasma has a 70% AP Ratio. Twin Fang also has a 70% AP Ratio. In practice, only Twin Fang is really seen as a damage ability. Cassio doesn't really need, nor should she be encouraged to try to use her DoTs as damage abilities, and we could easily reduce the AP ratio on both Miasma and Noxious Blast to curtail Cassiopeia's poke potential and push her more into the close quarters battlemage that the rest of her game flow says she is.

Durability

Cassiopeia is a 700 range mage. Caitlyn is a 650 range marksman, and RFC increases that past Cass range. In practice, ADC's tend to have better burst mobility than Cass' mobility strategy of "Hit a raw 0.65s trigger time Q from 850 range or less to get movespeed.". However, in spite of this, Cassiopeia currently possesses the worst armor in the game, tied with a few other character, coupled with HP slightly higher than an artillery mage and lower HP growths. At max level, Cassiopeia's HP is equivalent to Xerath, and her Armor is lower than Xerath. In exchange, she possesses higher level 1 HP and 2 more Magic Resist at all levels when compared to an Artillery mage who's signature role is being able to hit things from so far away he is not visible. Xerath has a range of on average over 50% more than Cassiopeia before considering ultimates.
Hell, Xerath has higher HP regeneration than Cassiopeia, meaning he literally possesses more staying power.
Cassiopeia possesses durability only slightly higher than Annie, a Burst Mage. Annie possesses higher Armor, higher HP Regen, and 70 less HP with equivalent HP scaling. However, Annie starts Doran's Ring, and Cassiopeia starts Tear. As a result, Annie has 20 more HP than Cassiopeia, 1 more Armor and 2 less Magic Resist.
Annie is a Burst Mage. Cassiopeia is a sustained damage mage.
Comparing again to Swain, another sustained damage mage, Swain possesses less HP (but also starts Doran's Ring and has a passive that increases his HP). 8 more armor and 2.5 more Health Regen. This is in addition to outranging cassiopeia (725 effect radius Death's Hand vs 700 Range Twin Fang, Nevermove ties with Noxious Blast).
Cassiopeia possesses a sustained lifedrain effect on Twin Fang, scaling with AP. However, due to having no base value and a 75% effectiveness reduction vs minions, this does not impact the laning phase and does not typically matter in teamfights due to her low baseline durability.

Conclusion

Cassiopeia possesses durability and mana economy akin to a Burst mage, but the playstyle of a Sustained Damage mage. She is on average less durable than Artillery Mages who focus on sustained damage, while possessing range barely beyond that of an auto-attack character and shorter than many dashes. This results in not having enough mana to pressure opponents in lane, while often being outranged or outtraded by other mages. In exchange, she has particularly high damage ratios that are backloaded by her need to hit a poison effect in order to deal meaningful damage.
According to Lolalytics, Cassiopeia is particularly strong at the moment, but inspection of her build is telling. Cassiopeia takes Resolve as a secondary rune with Bone Plating and Overgrowth, starts Tear, rushes Rod of Ages into Seraphs into Blackfire, before going for Rylai's. And she takes Barrier. As the game will typically be over after this point, that means that Cassiopeia is taking a durability Summoner, Durability Runes, and building 3 different Durability items, as well as 3 different Mana items.
Because Cassiopeia is exclusively taking Durability and Mana items, and yet is rated highly, this suggests that her current kit is very lopsided towards requiring Durability and Mana to the point of locking her out of other items. As such, I believe that increasing her durability and mana while reducing her AP ratios at a few points would lead to a more balanced item distribution as opposed to seeing full durability items.
This is neither a call for a buff, nor a nerf. Simply an adjustment to balance out her kit.

i don’t know who needs to see this but you’re going to lose yourself in your twin flame journey if you don’t learn to choose to rise above & choose yourself.
i know it quite literally seems impossible right now but never let that out of your subconscious. a twin flame journey isn’t a journey to union, it’s a journey to self.
i’ve been out this sub for years but i finally broke free & i want someone else to see there’s light 💡 at the end of the tunnel. albeit after INTENSE suffering.
i met my twin flame 2yrs ago & meeting her triggered my kundalini. at this time i didn’t know what the hell was happening. i legit thought i had lost my mind & needed to be mentally examined. i went on a random date trying to score & i left with what was a spiritual awakening. i had never felt love (emotionally unavailable) & the ONE time i felt it, she didn’t feel the same way back. my ego death was horrific. i had to practice meditation & mindfulness to get me back on track.
what happened over the next 2yrs was a chase & run story for the ages. highs & incredible lows. it got so bad i was up at 2 in the morning googling whether i had a love spell cast on me.
after 2yrs of chasing i finally found the strength to move on & accept it wouldn’t be. it’s not easy when they constantly show up in your dreams & your feelings for them is like igniting 5 gas stations ⛽️ simultaneously. but i chose to move on. after ghosting, embarrassment & near moments where she teased us getting together.
after 5 months of ZERO contact, i was driving home 🏡 when i thought i saw her walking & looking worried. i legit thought i was hallucinating because we live hours apart & here she was. alone. walking. right next to me. i pulled over & she was a little surprised to see me. she then told me she had just lost her puppy 🐶. it had run out while she was staying at a friend’s & i spent the next 2hrs with her driving & walking down the entire neighborhood calling after this dog.
i prayed we’d find it. but we didn’t. i wished her luck 🍀 & drove off. but what stuck with me the most was, the universe had literally carved up a 2hr session of CLOSE contact with my flame 🔥 in an effort to see whether i had truly moved on. i had! i didn’t ask for her contact or nothing as i had deleted all that & to be honest i still want to be with her, but i don’t want to be with her if she doesn’t want to be with me & that is how i passed my twin flame test. i was offered a chance to be a shoulder to cry on but i knew it was going to be a waste of time. she doesn’t feel the same way & that’s okay. i made peace ☮️ with that & i gave the universe the all-clear that i’m ready for new chapters & new love.
whether you end up with your flame or not is up to you focusing on yourself. you’ve been given a divine chance to live a reality ANYONE would be jealous of & the only thing you have to do is love ❤️ yourself. whether they’re a part of that new life or not does not matter. it’s YOU that matters. choose yourself.

Kokushibo is, without a doubt, the greatest new gen villain. His character embodies the themes of envy, his strive for perfection and power, ambition, and the consequences of one’s choices. Every action, thought and emotion that Koku has stems from his internal conflict. His conflict can be broken down into so many different sectors: his relationship with his brother, with Muzan, with Tanjiro and even himself. Thus, in return, we get an amazingly detailed character, allowing the viewers to be fully immersed in his conflict, making him a character who’s journey we can resonate with.
At his core, Kokushibo is driven by a profound sense of envy and inferiority. Born as Michikatsu, he is the older twin brother of Yoriichi - the undisputed ‘strongest’ Demon Slayer and the creator of the Sun Breathing technique. Despite Koku’s prodigious talent, he lived in the shadow of Yoriichi’s unparalleled abilities and innate potential. This sibling rivalry is pivotal, as it plants the seeds for Koku’s transformation. His envy is not merely a superficial desire to outshine his brother; it is a consuming force that corroded his sense of self-worth.
Michikatu’s decision to become a demon, taking the name of Kokushibo, is a manifestation of his deep-seated fear of mortality and failure. Unlike his brother, who’s strength is tied to his humanity’s compassion, Koku seeks power through any means necessary - even if it means losing himself in the process. This transition accentuates a key theme in Demon Slayer - the moral and existential costs of ambition. Koku’s transformation into a demon represents his ultimate surrender to his insecurities and rejection of the human values that his brother upheld.
Koku’s hybrid nature, retaining his Demon Slayer skills whilst embracing his demonic powers, creates a unique duality within his character. His Moon Breathing technique, which he developed as an answer to his brother’s Sun Breathing, symbolizes this dichotomy. The technique’s beautiful yet deadly implications reflects his internal conflict - the struggle between his remaining humanity and the overwhelming corruption of his demonic powers. This quality is further emphasised by his grotesque appearance, the Six Eyes.
In his interactions with his battles with the Hashira, his disdain for weakness contrasts with moments of introspection and regret. For instance, his encounter with Muichiro Tokito, a descendant of his lineage, triggers a rare moment of reflection. Despite his overwhelming power and contempt for others, Koku’s brief acknowledgment of his human past and fleeting moments of regrets added layers to his character.
The tragic dimensions of Koku’s character are emphasised by his downfall. Despite achieving immense power, his defeat by the Hashira is not merely a physical loss, but a culmination of his internet struggles. In his death, he realizes his quest for power ultimately led to his own destruction. This moment deepens the futility of his ambitions and the hollowness of the power he sought. He’s confronted with the painful truth that his relentless pursuit of strength only worsened his sense of loss.
Koku also serves as a powerful foil to Tanjiro, the main character. Both characters are driven by the loss of family and a desire for strength, yet their paths diverge dramatically. Whilst Tanjiro’s journey is marked by empathy, compassion and a commitment to protect others, Koku’s path is characterized by self-interest and envy. This dynamic highlights the outcomes of their respective choices, reinforcing the moral framework of the main theme of the show - true strength lies in compassion and selflessness.
Koku seeks to surpass his brother, yet is ultimately subservient to Muzan, who’s the pinnacle embodiment of a Demon. The irony is, in seeking to escape his brother’s shadow, he becomes a pawn for Muzan. He could never escape his past, and was always destined to be number two, never achieving the recognition he so greatly desired.
Kokushibo’s character is a fervent exploration of the human condition, the destructive nature of envy and the consequences of one’s choices. Through his backstory, abilities all the way to his interactions and his fate, he serves as a multifaceted antagonist who’s arc is a mirror to the struggles and virtues of both Tanjiro and Yoriichi.

United States Special Forces on March 5 destroyed an Air Force Boeing 747 that had been airborne over the Texas Panhandle when inexplicable fires erupted on February 26, a source in General Eric M. Smith’s office told Real Raw News.
The YAL is a modified Boeing 747 with an airborne laser (ABL). It was a collaborative project conceived in 2004 by the Department of Defense, the Air Force, and DARPA as a testbed for intercepting and destroying tactical ballistic missiles while in the boost phase. In 2011, then-Secretary of Defense Gates announced the project’s cancellation, claiming the airframe would need a more potent laser (20-30X) to prove viable on evolving battlefields such as Iran, and adding that the development of such a weapon was financially and technologically infeasible given the current state of technology. In February 2012, the prototype—ostensibly the only one produced–landed at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona, where it was purportedly placed in storage at the “boneyard” operated by the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group until it was ultimately scrapped in September 2014 after all usable parts were removed.
Our sources, however, said the decommissioning story was a ruse to conceal a catastrophic accident. As the story goes, technicians were evaluating an upgraded chemical oxygen iodine laser (COIL) when the platform misfired and vaporized the airplane and six workers. What the Air Force placed in the “boneyard” was a plastic and Styrofoam mockup, our source said.
Moreover, the DOD built four YAL-style aircraft for $26 billion, including development and research. YAL­-2, of which there is no public record, caused the Texas Panhandle fires.
On March 4, White Hats learned that YAL-2 took off from Fresno Yosemite International—a joint military-civilian airport—at 3:00 a.m., February 26, and flew southeast toward the Texas Panhandle. It reached Amarillo airspace approximately 2.5 hours later, loitering there at an altitude of 37,000 feet for another 45 minutes. During that time, the plane circled above Pampa and Fritch, Texas, uncoincidentally close to what would be named the Grapevine Creek and Smokehouse Creek fires, the most devastating in Texas’ history. YAL-2 then climbed to 39,000 feet and flew northeast, landing eventually at Wright-Patterson Airforce Base in Dayton, Ohio.
Since a YAL holds 64,000 gallons of fuel and can remain airborne for 16 hours at cruise speed without mid-air refueling, the roughly 8-hour trip was well within its tolerance.
Our source would not share how White Hats obtained evidence of the flight’s existence—it does not appear on publicly available flight tracking applications—but said the proof compelled General Eric M. Smith to orchestrate a surgical, boots-on-the-ground operation, hopefully before YAL-2 again took to the skies.
“General Smith considered inquiring with supposedly friendly forces at Wright-Patterson, but then figured he better not. If any of them were double agents, they could’ve told the Deep State and got that plane in the air right away. Discretion is the better part of valor,” our source said.
The general asked 5th Special Forces Group commander Brent Lindemen to task his best soldiers with infiltrating the base and finding and destroying the plane.
Special Forces clandestinely penetrated the base at 1:00 a.m., March 5, and identified a hangar they believed housed YAL-2, as it was the only one guarded by four United States Air Force Security Forces members, the branch’s equivalent of Army MPs. Special Forces immobilized them using non-lethal force prior to entering the hangar and rigging the airframe with incendiary charges and accelerants attenuated to render the aircraft and laser worthless, without triggering a concussive explosion. YAL-2 burned to a crisp, a fitting end for a plane that itself caused unimaginable destruction.
White Hats received official confirmation of the plane’s destruction that afternoon. U.S. Army Cyber Command overheard a phone conversation between a high-ranking Air Force officer and a Democrat in the House of Representatives who is also a member of the House Armed Services Committee. The officer said, “Looks like we lost one.”
Our source was disinclined to share additional operation details, saying doing so could hinder the hunt for YAL-3 and YAL-4, the crew of YAL-2, and officials who had foreknowledge of the flight.

Real Raw News is aware that other airborne or orbital DEW platforms exist. It’s broadly accepted among qualified researchers that similar tech was used against the Murrah building in 1995 and the Twin Towers in 2001. This article focuses only on the specific plane responsible for the Texas inferno.
Our source said YAL-2 caused the Maui fires, but we have not heard enough about that incident to write an article.
As an aside, it’s both frightening and amusing that reality mimics Hollywood: Airborne DEWs were first seen in the 1985 film Real Genius, in which a group of college nerds build a fifty-megawatt laser for the Air Force, only to sabotage it after realizing the government planned to use it as a weapon of mass destruction.

I'm just broadcasting this in hopes somebody with better attention span and position can make progress.
In the daydreams of rebuilding the vintage motorcycle I often wish I could skip a generation of technology or make something compatible for ease of use and power gains. While contemplating the Carb to EFI conversion I came across an expired patent for a combination spark plug/direct fuel injector. https://patents.google.com/patent/US6955154 I hope some company finds that patent and makes a product kit and software the end user can have full access to the ECU with. This type of "miracle wish ECU for vintage bikes/small engines kit" would allow for direct cylinder fuel injection and ignition timing control in one piece of hardware, for singles, twins, 4 cylinders, possibly even I6 and V8 engines, with an inline fuel pump and coil over plug ignition.
Since the location of most of those components are in close proximity on a motorcycle the install would be rather simple. Remove the old spark coils and install the ECU and fuel pump under the tank. Feed 4 fuel lines to 4 injectospark plugs with 4 trigger wires for ignition. One fuel feed line from the tank to the pump, you could even hook a return line into the secondary petcock if your tank has 2. Rather compact and simple setup when you consider the only custom part would be the 1 to 4 intake manifold/throttle body (which could be sized and spaced for carb boots instead of directly mounting to the engine with gaskets) and welding in the exhaust o2 sensor bung/nut (which I would just put on a flat metal hook bracket in the slip join mid exhaust where they slide together anyways). I would want another source of ignition timing like a crank sensor for higher Pulse per revolution computation, but I'm sure it could be functionally mapped with a single crank pulse like most CDI or Points provide.
So far I don't know of anyone who manufactures a combination spark plug fuel injector.

Just wanna say love u so much Charlotte and love all my fellow potatoes!!! More power to our queen! A very dramatic and long story of my friend's wedding that happened 2 years ago. All names have been changed but I did get permission from the bride and groom, and the bride's brother to post this story.
This was 2 years ago but I can still remember that day very well. Let me start by saying I'm not really sociable and I'm usually very awkward because of my insecurities with my body and mental health which have greatly improved but still comes up every now and then. Cath - the bride in this story - is my best friend and one of the sweetest girls I know since HS. She's kind, very pretty, very athletic, and smart but she was never a bitch or a bully.
Her family is also wonderful, and her husband - still fiancé during this story - is also a wonderful man, Nathan. I'm so happy for her and they deserve each other. Nathan's family is also like Cath's family - they're nice, lovable, and despite their wealth, they're very lowkey about it. 99% of Nathan's family is nice, except for his younger sister, Ana, who is the same age as me and Cath. Nathan is 5 years older than us, and he and Cath met through Cath's brother, Leo. Leo is the same age as Nathan, and is very similar to Cath in terms of popularity, and he's also very handsome - I describe him as handsome and tall that is always smiling and greenest flag male lead in romance novels - so yes, I've had a huge crush on Leo since Day 1, which Cath cannot believe that I had a crush on her brother. Safe to say, other girls like him too including Ana. Ana has been very open about her crush on Leo; and I would admire her for that if she wasn't a bitch to every other who likes Leo too. She bullied whoever she found fancied Leo and even went out of her way to ruin his dates with any girl he went out with. Leo has always been firm and straightforward in telling Ana that what she was doing was out of line, and he has multiple times expressed that he does not have feelings for her and her behavior was not making him like her. I knew all of this because Leo got shit drunk one time while I was hanging out at their family home and he accidentally spilled his stress about her with me and Cath. Cath got enraged and called Nathan, and Nathan's family were horrified about Ana's behavior that they actually cut her off financially for 3 years.
Well, the week before the wedding, Ana's parents decided that maybe she has finally learned her lesson because she has mellowed and gave her a bit of financial support and this triggered Ana's bitchy attitude again. She would be mean to Cath during wedding preparation, be a pick me girl whenever she hangs out with us, and worse, make fun of my weight. Don't get me wrong, even I make jokes every now and then and I can take some digs towards me but to constantly hear them every single time I see her has become exhausting and has driven my anxiety to new heights. Cath always called her out for this but she didn't stop and always brushed it off as a joke until Cath decided it was enough and told Nathan about Ana's behavior towards me. Nathan reprimanded Ana and threatened that to tell their parents her behavior and risk another financial disownment unless she apologized to me. Ana begrudgingly apologized and has stayed clear of me every since.
That was until the wedding. The day before the wedding, something traumatic happened to me so I wasn't really in the best mood during the wedding. Cath was so worried about me that I actually started to feel bad that she was fussing over me instead of focusing on herself for her day. Leo picked up on Cath's worried gazes on me and my shitty mood that he told Cath he would stay with me during the entire wedding to help me get through any difficult moments. Both Cath and I agreed (I mean yeah, I wouldn't pass a moment to spend with Leo) and so Leo and I were constantly together during the wedding ceremony and reception. We were always in the same group of conversations, same area of the venue, and we were having fun. I think Ana saw this and did not like it. Halfway through the reception, Leo left our table to pick up a phone call and I was left alone for a while. I didn't mind it because the party mood was just so lively and I felt great that I've been doing well without any anxiety attacks. Ana saw that as an opportunity to strut to our table with her other bitchy cousins and picked a fight with me. No I'm not kidding, there was no warning, no preempt actions, just went to my table, picked up a glass of water and splashed it on my face. I was stunned to react and I think I blanked out for a few seconds because the next thing I knew, Nathan, Cath, and Nathan's parents were all over Ana and the cousins, while Ana was screaming on top of her lungs about me being fat, not worthy of Leo's attention, and if it weren't for my skills in makeup, I wouldn't be pretty - those actually sting and I started to quietly cry. I felt bad about my self and for causing a scene on Cath and Nathan's wedding when they have been nothing but kind to me, and I felt mad at myself for being so helpless and a doormat.
And then, Leo was kneeling in front of my seat and held my hand. I couldn't really remember what he said to me but he looked so worried and sad for me. I could remember him squeezing my hands and even pulled me for a hug as Ana was dragged by her parents out of the venue. Ana was cut off by their parents and kicked out of their home for her behavior after that. I went home after that fiasco - I said sorry to Cath and Nathan, and to their parents as well. And to give an epilogue to this disaster and long post already: A week after the wedding, Cath and Nathan were having a housewarming party, and I decided to attend. As soon as they both saw me, I was welcomed by tight hugs and Cath's mom even shoved Leo so she could hug me next. Nathan's parents were still apologetic and promised to make it up to me. The party was lively, Leo and I were next to each other again during the party and that helped me felt ease. Cath and Nathan even did a slideshow of their wedding photos for the family to see. Every one was laughing, cooing at the couple's photos, when a photo of the table I was sitting in flashed next. There were 6 of us seated at the table but you could clearly see in the photo that Leo and I were facing each other, laughing at what we were talking about. Cath's mom was the first one to speak up and say "Oh would you look at that! OP looks so cute!" She then turned to Leo who was next to me and said "Isn't she cute, Leo?" To which Leo agreed. He looked at me and smiled, "Not a surprise, she is the prettiest girl I've met." Holy mother of waffles I swear I thought I was dreaming. I heard Cath make barf sounds with her brother's words, while Nathan was laughing.
So here we are, 2 years since that eventful wedding of Cath and Nathan's, and it was my turn to walk down the aisle last weekend for my wedding. Cath and Nathan's adorable twin girls were my flower girls, and Leo looked handsome as always as he waited for me at the end of the aisle by the altar. Yes, my husband agreed to me writing this post and was gracious enough to fill me in on the lines he said.

For those of you who have fibroids and took Omnitrope during stims, did it cause your fibroids to grow?
It has been added as part of my stim protocol for my third retrieval but I'm very hesitant to take it due to my history of fibroid tumors. One of the side effects listed is potential growth of tumors. I had a myomectomy last year to remove 14 fibroids, the largest was the size of a cantaloupe. I'm lucky that my surgeon was able to save my uterus. My uterus probably wouldn't survive another myomectomy though.
About me: almost 41, AMH 2.37, mini protocol (200 follistim, 20 units low dose hcg, ganirelix, dual trigger with 10,000hcg and Lupron)
Round 1 - (only one ovary accessible because of a fibroid) 9 eggs retrieved, 2 mature - both fertilized and frozen day 3
Round 2 - after myomectomy - 16 eggs retrieved, 3 mature - all 3 fertilized and frozen day 3.
I believe the low maturity rate is a trigger timing issue. My clinic tends to trigger patients on the early side. I will push them to wait until follicles are at least 18mm for upcoming round.
Would omni help with maturity? Is the potential benefit of omnitrope worth the risk if you're prone to fibroids?

2024.05.21 14:28 mgttc9 First ER results 29F/33M with low AMH and low morphology

Hi all, I've looked at a ton of hunger games results throughout this process and figured I'd throw mine in as well. I also love details so I tried to include everything even potentially relevant.
Results 20ish follicles 15 retrieved 14 mature 11 fertilized with ICSI 7 blasts frozen (2 day 5s, 4 day 6s, 1 day 7)
Context We have been TTC for 3.5 years with no pregnancies. Treatment history includes 5 medicated TI cycles and 3 IUIs (all with letrozole).
My spouse had low T discovered 1.5 years ago and has been successfully medicated with clomid and anastrozole for low sperm count. Motility is good but he consistently has 0-1% morphology. My RE defaults to ICSI for any MFI (zymot was not mentioned).
My usual AMH is around 0.8ng/ml and my AFC is around 10. A few months ago my AMH was randomly 1.8ng/ml and my AFC at baseline for my ER was zero after 3 weeks on birth control. My RE hoped for 5-8 eggs from this cycle.
Protocol My RE insisted 0 AFC was not a problem to move forward and started me on 300IU follistim and 150IU menopur for the first 5 days. On day 6 of stims, they saw 24 growing follicles which was a huge surprise.
Added ganirelix that day and dropped to 225 follistim and 75 menopur; further dropped follistim to 150 on day 8 when they counted around 20 follicles.
Last monitoring appointment and doses of follistim/menopur were on day 9 and we triggered with 10,000IU HCG the following night (shout-out to my husband for jabbing that huge needle in my butt at 1:00am on Mother's Day lol).
Continued ganirelix daily through ER and the following week. Also added letrozole and cabergoline to prevent OHSS. Had a standard course of antibiotics (doxycycline).
Symptoms and side effects On stims, my biggest side effect was feeling crazy emotional. Everything had me crying or raging. The constipation hit me like a truck on stim day 9 and lasted a week after ER.
That whole week I was bloated and uncomfortable and it took a few days for my ovaries to calm down. I drank a lot of electrolytes, took my prescribed meds, and did not develop OHSS.
Genetic testing and future plans PGT-A was a complicated decision but we ultimately decided not to test. We are hoping for one child and do not plan on another ER at this time.

I just wanted to share my IVF journey so far in case it helps out anyone else! I know I was scouring the internet trying to find someone who had anything similar to my experience.
Age: 32 year old female, 32 year old male
Reason for IVF: We had been trying for almost a year with nothing happening. Went to a clinic and did all the testing and found nothing wrong with either of us and were diagnosed with undermined infertility. Since there was nothing wrong from the tests we decided to do a couple rounds of IUI to see if that did anything. At the first IUI my partners sperm count dropped dramatically between the pre and post wash. Went from having average numbers to numbers that were below IUI standard. We decided to go through with the IUI and hoped it was a random event. Went in for the second IUI, and the same thing happened again. With this happening twice in a row they looked further into the SA and diagnosed us with MFI. Apparently viscosity can be to high in seminal fluids which prevent the sperm from moving as fast as they should. With this information we moved onto IVF.
IVF Protocol: 150 Menopur, 150 Follistim, for 8 days. Decreased by half for both starting on Day 9 and decreased again for Day 10 and 11. Ended up triggering on Day 12 with 5000 HCG because my E2 was at 4900 the morning of the trigger. My clinic's threshold for OHSS is 5000, so with being just under they wanted to reduce the trigger from 10,000 HCG to 5000 HCG.
Here are my E2 results each time I got a blood test done.

I think I should have triggered on Day 11 but I saw a different doctor that day and she measured things differently than my normal doctor and she wanted to push it one more day. I don't think they were expecting my E2 levels to jump that much in 1 day.
Here is what my follicle numbers looks like on each US. I only kept track of ones larger than 10 mm.

IVF Results: 22 total eggs were retrieved, 16 mature, 12 fertilized, 7 day 6 blasts, and 5 Euploid, 1 high mosaic, and 1 Aneuploid.
I do think that I ended up with a very mild case of OHSS. I was very bloated to the point where it started to hurt (for reference I have IBS-C and am very familiar with bloating) and that took about 7 days to start go down. Overall wasn't terrible, definitely didn't help that the morning after the ER I woke up with the cold my partner had brought home a couple days previous (not COVID, tested every other day until the ER).
Currently am on day 5 of my post ER cycle and am still experiencing some bloating (jeans are still not comfortable). I did keep track of my weight starting on Day 1 of stims so that way I had a baseline of how much my weight can fluctuate throughout the day and I never gained more than 1-2 pounds outside of the normal range from the previous weeks. This definitely helped keep my mind calm while I was waddling around due to bloating.
We are getting ready to do our first Modified Natural FET in the next week or so. I will update this post once I have information on how that went. I am sure I will make more tables/charts to help quell the anxiety.

2024.05.21 00:14 Wexflaw Hope, desire, a way out of this matrix.

Lost, going through heartache, loneliness, fear, abandonment. Not looking for sympathy. Looking for advice. Many times throughout my life I have felt these emotions from parents, family members, friends, lovers. I was exceptionally mentally and verbally bullied and abused from my dad. Mom neglected. Now 43. The past 3 years, I have become very spiritual and started learning about the universe, energy, thought pattern waves, sound therapy, optimistic outlook, knowing that we are all on the right path. Stood my ground from all the narcissistic people surrounding me and ended up loosing 100% of my family and friends. I have people that I could call, but I do not want to bombard anyone as we all have issues we're dealing with. Couple days ago I ended a 3 year relationship of a person who called herself my twin as she also had a horrible past. Sounds like trauma bond relationship to me, however, we had many life sycranicities of possibly meeting and to many coincidences which left me unsure if she was a twin. I ended it because she was exhibiting many narcissistic traits. Of course she does have a loving side to her as to why I was with her. She did help me a ton more then anybody ever has. So what was I supposed to do? Allow the narcissistic traits from her and be not seen, heard or listened too and stay with her? I had a rough 3 years as we broke up many times. This time, i do not want to go back because i am at my lowest ibhave ever felt or been. Completely alone from everyone. Overtime, I felt depleted, not my own self, depressed, needing her love instead from within myself. I kept going back to her as I had no-one else. I feel bad leaving her because she does not deserve that either because she really did help me in other ways big time. What am I supposed to do? I get blamed for everything and she plays victim everytime. I finally left her a couple days ago and now I am left with my two cats. Home, car and fear of being alone. Doing my best to survive and stay in the present moment right now. To find myself. I am not happy. I'm very hurt and feel deserted by everyone. I think to myself, am I on the right path?? Show me some kind of miracle as I have yet to experience one. I am 43 years old now and look like I'm 30 which doesn't help for any respect from others my age. Of course English and Grammer is my worst subject as I am writing this the best I can. 😆 I focused more on the truth of why we are all here and where do we really go and why, why, why. So now, my train of thought to bring the vibrational friends, lover, family I desperately so desire is yet to come. Right??? We are to clear the space to allow for something new to come and the universe provides. We'll, the problem I have with that is I have been clearing everything out of my life for 3 years now and I am literally at rock bottom now and alone. Can I ask, why I deserved such a horrible life to this outcome when all I want to do is help people and grow spiritually? Yes I am not perfect and have harmed and hurt people throughout my life due to what was taught to me growing up. I always had this love within my heart to help, and want to do better, but then I get triggered and lash out to the world in anger. I am learning to transmute the anger to mother earth instead. Chakras balancing, clearing my Karmatic debt, soul piece retrieval that were stolen from me by my parent's. You all probably think I sound crazy, however this is what I have been learning. Is it true? I don't honestly know because I stated above, "yet to see if miracles exist or see..." it is like I am blinded by it. I don't hear intuition, it's just my thoughts. I don't see things out of the ordinary. I have asked the universe many times for help, support from my guides, etc... nothing but pain is what I recieve it seems. What keeps me going is I am to cowardly to give up and feel I have much work to be done in this life. Doing my best to focus on the present moment, set goals, eat, gym, financially stable, being alive. How is this any fun if I cannot connect with anyone with the same desires and not be used as an emotional punching bag? Sorry for the rant, I don't expect anything from anyone. Just lost, hurt, suffering and looking for a way out of this mess or anything I am missing. Please help if you can. I send love and compassion too all and I am glad for those that made a success with people, family and life many adventures. I desire to join those kind of people.

2024.05.20 21:28 Kora1517 any hope for my very first/only retrieval embryos to turn around day 6?

So may 15th was my retrieval. 15 mature. 13 fertilized ones was trying to catch up.
Day 5 first thing in the morning only one expanded blast out of 13 fertile! I'm devastated. I think she said I have 11 morals they will watch and call tmw day 6!
They didn't fertilize my eggs until like 1pm they were saying, before I went in for retrieval. So to call at 8am on day5/today seems to early to tell me anyways. But I only have one!
History I used zymot and have taken supplements for a year prior. I'm 36. Lean pcos I had high est. At over 4000 and had to use lupron only trigger. With 75 folli and 75 menopur. They lowered to 50 the last day or 2 of stims. He has ok sperm but no DNA frag test. We've lost 3 chemical pregnancies before this. I have s.a.d.s, Sjogren's, fibro and a histamine build up problem where I breakout for no reason.i also had a natural twin pregnancy where one was in my tube and it ruptured and I lost my tube and both babies before all of this or knowing I had lean pcos 2 years ago.
Did anyone hardly get 1 day 5 embryo out of 13 or more and still end up with day 6 or 7 catching up? I'm so scared. I put all my saving and took a loan out to do this. No insurance and all out of pocket. I don't have a bunch of chances and retrievals because there is no way I could afford it.
What were your outcomes?

2024.05.20 20:34 bettaboy772 Twin pregnancy but nothing in either sac

Went in for my scan today at 7w2. I had an ultrasound at 5w2 to confirm placement was in my uterus because I was having some light spotting. We saw one sac measuring 5w2 with nothing it in and was told that it’s too early to see anything. I go back in today and the ultrasound tech was squinting at the screen. She looked concerned, as if she were studying her own ultrasound. I could see on the screen that were wasn’t anything but a sac but then we see two sacs. She said “it looks like it was trying to be twins” and I said “but there’s nothing in either one right? And there should be something by now.” She said yes, I’m so sorry. She found a small SCH which explains the spotting. From the very beginning, I had this weird specific concern that “I’m going to go in for my ultrasound and there won’t be anything there.”
The bigger sac was measuring 6w3, and the other one was a little smaller. I know and everyone else knows that the only realistic outcome is a bad one, but they wanted to do an HCG to get more clarity. They said that they want me back in 2 weeks to repeat the ultrasound, but that this is very likely a miscarriage. They want me to stay on the progesterone in case there’s a rare chance that the pregnancy just needs a little extra time to progress. I think if it was going to be okay it would already be okay by now, but there’s just two empty sacs at 7w2. I’m not sure why I need to waste 2 more weeks of my time to confirm something that is already very clearly a miscarriage. I’m feeling so pissed off and just want to end it so I can move on with my life.

2024.05.20 18:26 BrokeMillennialLawyr 9 Blasts with PCOS

I recently completed my 2nd round of IVF. I just got the call and was told that my results are “amazing” and that I currently have 9 blasts, and three more embryos likely to form into blasts tomorrow!
Some background: I’m 35 and I have PCOS. My last cycle was not great. I did full stim, and went into OHSS. During my 3rd monitoring ultrasound, the nurses were counting and measuring my follicles aloud. I was trying to keep track but lost count at around 50 follicles! At the end of the ultrasound, I asked how many follicles I had, and they said “too many to quantify” and informally categorized it as a “shit ton”. It was extremely painful and became difficult to do routine things, like getting out of bed or up from a chair. Because of the OHSS they told me to stop taking shots, and replaced my trigger shot with one without HCG. I was still extremely optimistic because if I have so many follicles, there would have to be a few good eggs in that batch, right? I was wrong. Out of all of those follicles, I only got five embryos, and by day 7, I got one poorly formed early-blast (4CC) that had so few cells that they couldn’t biopsy it because it would get damaged.
This time around, I did a MINI stim IVF cycle (about half the dose) and I took an hCG trigger shot. My doctor said her aim in the change of protocol was to get quality over quantity, and to avoid me going into OHSS. I still ended up with 23 eggs, which made me a bit nervous about what the quality would be. But 20 of them were mature, 17 fertilized, and on day one I had 13 embryos being monitored. I received my update call and was told I have 9 blasts:
Day 5: 2 blasts (4AA and 4BC) Day 6: 7 blasts (two 5AB, two 5BB, and three 5BC)
And the doctor’s office says there are three more embryos likely to turn into blasts tomorrow (Day 7). So I may end up with 12!
Given the results of my first cycle, my PCOS and a recent endometriosis diagnosis, I was extremely nervous about my post retrieval update. I am extremely hopeful and optimistic this time around and I’m praying I receive more good news when I get the PGT testing results. Maybe I’ll even be able to have my first retrieval this year. Fingers crossed!

I had four follicles on my third retrieval: on the day of trigger they had these sizes: 20,20,23,16
My doctor said one was a cyst and one was not mature so she got two eggs and later she said out of those one was also not mature so I ended up with one embryo. Has anyone had this issue and was it because of early trigger or something else? What changes did you make to help? I used hcg and lupron for trigger.

UPD: Please don't give me advice like "gender is a myth, just be yourself", "you don't have to transition" and such. I don't struggle with that. I have already gone through this aspects on my own and knowing it didn't help me. I don't struggle with "I feel like I should do something I don't want", I know that I want it but I struggle with figuring out if my wants are real.
I'm 25 AFAB, FTM. And I was dealing with doubts about my gender identity for a very long time now. For context, I'm currently pre-everything and closeted IRL, since I'm living in transphobic household. Sorry for a long post, I'm autistic and afraid of missing important details, and I feel like chronological order of events is important.
I didn't had signs of dysphoria in early childhood. In fact, I was totally fine with being perceived as a girl until puberty (12-13 years old), with wearing dresses, playing with "girl" toys, etc. But I admit that I didn't had circumstances for distress from not getting enough "male role" at that time bc my parents weren't limiting me in my choices based on gender - I could get any toy I wanted no matter if it was a Barbie or a battleship, I was allowed to read both about dinosaurs and female etiquette, and noone forced me to choose dresses over pants so I could freely choose (the only exception being school uniform bc I used to associate "business style" women's pants with those annoying old ladies that shouldn't be allowed to be teachers until they get therapy, so I was heavily against wearing pants to school bc those style of pants was my option, but I quickly changed my mind after invention of skinny jeans since the black ones were allowed to wear at school). At this period of my life, gender was a bit more of "why does it matter at all", with only exception being bullied at school due to my autism and getting "it" treatment, it was the only situation when I was starting to point out that "I'M A GIRL", and generally liking the Disney princess aesthetic. And I liked having long hair just because I have natural curls. So until puberty I was just accepting that I'm a girl in a "yeah, whatever the adults say" manner, and in general only thought of myself as a girl bc my personal taste aligned with aesthetical aspect of being a girl. However I have always subconsciously wanted to be included into the "boys" category when it was about games organised by teachers, or helping with cleaning the classroom.
But when puberty started, the things start getting... Strange, let's call it that. I didn't had any hatred to my body, and at that time I was sure I didn't had dysphoria at all. But I was seeing the changes in my body and had this background feeling of wanting to reverse it and get back to my old body without curves and breasts. And any attempts of my mother to put a dress that was amplifying my curves was uncomfortable - not in a hateful way, but in a "I just don't want to see my body like that" way. But I was still wearing dresses time to time because well, the clothes were beautiful and my mother was equaling "I think this dress is beautiful" and "I want to wear this dress", same with jewellery. So I ended up hoarding a ton of stereotypically female clothing and jewellery which I was barely wearing unless reminded to do so. At the same time I started to wear more and more of oversized clothes, genuinely believing that I look better like that. And the genuine reason for me thinking that way was literally the fact that having a soft sports bra under a 2 sizes too big T-shirt worked surprisingly well to make my C-cup breasts barely noticeable.
Also at the same time I got on social media. At first I tried to present as female online bc I had a feeling that being a girl it's what I should do. But from the very beginning I have picked up a different name, for several reasons: I wanted to have privacy from my parents and classmates, I was planning to hang out in English-speaking spaces and my legal name is a Slavic name nearly impossible to properly pronounce for foreigners, and also I started to feel like my name is too... sweet and soft, I don't know? So I first used a name of one of my favourite characters, and then switched several names getting progressively less and less feminine.
I also got hooked up into text roleplay community. At first I was making female characters because most people around me were roleplaying characters of the same gender as their AGAB and I took it as a kind of a rule. Later on I took some male roles when playing roleplay-flavored mafia (a forum I was hanging out on was hosting online mafia games where we were also roleplaying as characters from different franchises), and since then I was roleplaying almost exclusively male characters. And I had an interesting quirk that when I was roleplaying as a guy I was insisting on keeping he/him pronouns in the discussion chat even though most other girls were switching tho she/her, and if I was making friends there I would stick to he/him even in DMs and even after I have long left the RP itself and don't have to be "in character" anymore. And I remember clearly than when one of the girls I was roleplaying with said that she could tell that I'm a girl from how I wrote my male character but it was way harder that with other girls, I was simultaneously happy and sad - I wished to not have any signs of being a girl at all, but at least it was harder to notice.
Also at this time I have learned about existence of trans and non-binary people... And since I have already had some feeling of not belonging "with the girls," it didn't took much time for me to start thinking it might be me. But I completely disregarded the possibility of being a binary trans guy since I didn't know of the possibility of not having strong dysphoria and still being a binary trans, so I just assumed that if I don't hate my body and I can be okay with being perceived as female, I must be some flavour of non-binary. And spend the next 10 years trying to find or even create a label for myself because I felt more in a "strong masculine combined with strong feminine" way rather than "soft blend of masc and fem" most of non-binary labels felt like.
It was this way until 23 years old when I started playing Genshin Impact. I remember that when I first started playing, I took enormous effort into figuring out which twin should I pick. I liked Aether for some reason more, but the community was clearly favouring Lumine, especially the fem half of the fandom. In the end I took Aether and it felt like a right choice. Three months later I tried to enter a different server and took Lumine out of curiosity. And this account got abandoned after AR 5 because playing as Lumine just wasn't vibing, I could self-project myself as much as it was with Aether even though the plot stays the same. And I also was exposed to a completely new type of masculinity I haven't seen before - what Genshin and later HSR definitely do well is adding stereotypically fem traits like long hair and decorated clothes to their tall male characters while still keeping them inherently masc in nature.
It was a kind of a trigger that finally put the pieces of puzzle I already had in their places. When I allowed myself to consider the possibility of being a trans guy, it suddenly started to feel like I was a trans guy this whole time, just maybe with alternative gender expression. And I think that the "feminine" part of my gender might actually be the desire to have access to stereotypically fem traits as a man.
But I also started to regularly get intense cases of impostor syndrome, since my mind keeps fixating on some aspects that make me doubt myself.
  1. If I'm a trans guy, why didn't I had childhood signs? Why it took me 23 years to realise?
  2. Why haven't I felt any clear dysphoria?
  3. Isn't it weird that my trigger for self-realisation was a videogame?
  4. Why I was okay with being a girl before?
  5. Is it possible that I have unintentionally convinced myself that I'm trans?
  6. Why do I keep to self-misgender even after 2,5 years?
When I have this doubts it's so intense that I literally start crying sometimes. And even though I clearly answer "yes, give me that male body" on all variations of the button test, my brain still manages to invalidate it. I'm afraid that I'm imagining things and that I will regret transitioning even though I want it - I didn't had clear thoughts about transitioning before accepting I might be a guy, but I did had thoughts about reverting to pre-puberty body without curves, wanting a deeper voice ect.
I will be glad if someone can help since what I might need is a perspective of people who did end up going back to their AGAB. Maybe if I won't resonate with such experience it will finally be the last piece of puzzle I need to calm down.

I had GD with my last pregnancy (insulin ‘controlled’).
I’m now 8 weeks pregnant and have started taking my fasting blood sugar each morning out of curiosity. I am waking up SO thirsty and my blood sugars have been high the last 3 days (since I started testing).
Is it possible to have GD this early?
I’m also concerned I may be pregnant with twins (very high HCG) - could that cause GD to kick in earlier? Or is that not a thing…
First Ob appointment on Thursday, and she’s already planning an early GTT:
Other than a previous GD pregnancy, I have no risk factors.
