In the vast majority of cases a GP will be able to advise you that these symptoms are benign but some doctors will often refer you to a neurologist for their opinion, if this should happen it is not value laden as regarding a possible diagnosis but rather would be the standard format for how you present to the doctor.
This thread is good news, it is good news because it has had to be written, it is good news because hundreds, maybe thousands of people have logged onto this board and countless other anxiety forums totally convinced that they are suffering from a neurological condition despite being told by health care profesionals that this is not the case. All these people ask the same questions and all these people have the exact same worries as you are having now. If this is you, if you have been to the doctor, maybe even a neuro, maybe even two neuro’s, maybe even had an MRI, maybe even two MRI’s, well, you get the picture, if you have been told by your health care profesional that you are healthy but you are struggling to believe this you may find some help from this thread.

Actually, my guess would be that your doctor has told you that you are suffering from ‘just’ anxiety and, if you are lucky, you may have been given some leaflets, you may have had some books recommended and you may even have been given some medication.
So, what took you to the doctor? Was it the tingling? The pins & needles? That damned annoying twitching eyelid that just won’t let up? The reason we Google is because of a basic human need at a time of stress, we are scared and we want reassurance, the problem is nothing you ever read on the internet will give you the reassurance you need, you will unwittingly discard the plethora of evidence that tells you that you do not have a neurological illness and instead will latch onto and inflate those things which seem ambigous, why would you do this? I suggest that at this point it may be adavantagous for you to look in the Genaralized Anxiety Disorder folder on this forum and see the negative thought processes and over generalization and catastrophising that defines GAD, it just may ring some bells for you.
So, by the time you have gone to the doctor you are pretty much resigned to the fact that it is MS or if you are really unlucky ALS. If any of the above seems familier to you, believe me, you are not alone…as strange as it may seem the fixation on being convinced you have a neurological condition after being told that you are in actual fact suffering from anxiety in very common.
Firstly, you need to realise that both MS and ALS are rare disease’s. Not only are they both rare disease’s but they also tend to effect spefic groups based on ethnicity, age and sex so we are talking about rare disease with partial excluding factors. In contrast, anxiety is an incredibly common and debilitating condtion that effects people both physically and mentally.
Anxiety is generally percieved to be a mental condition, when we are anxious we are anxious in our head and this can kick in the flight or fight syndrome which in turn causes the physical reactions. These reactions are generally thought to be a racing heart and palpitations, sweating, increased adrenaline etc etc. Now, this is all well and good but how does this fit in with those symptoms that mirror MS etc so effectivly.
I personally believe that the reason most people fail to be believe that their symptoms are being genrated by anxiety is because the concept of anxiety is never actually expalined sufficently. A large number of doctors will often expalin to you that you are suffering from ‘just’ anxety and this usage of the term ‘just’ is supposed to make us somehow feel reassured. The problem is that this has the opposite effect, how can a ‘just’ something cause all these real physical symptoms. If anxiety is effecting me mentally how can it make me twitch, buzz and go numb?
For some people anxiety will surface in the tradional panic attack, much seems to be written on this side of anxiety and this is not what we are concerned with here. For a sizable group of people when anxiety starts to manifest itself physically it is through physical sesnations that effect various aspects of our nervous system. This is why the sensations of this physical anxiety so closely mirror the symptoms of a condition such as MS, they actually effect the same part of the body, now, here is the crucial and all important difference, the symptoms of MS are caused by an organic condition which whilst treatable is irreversable and the physical sensations of anxiety are caused by the mind and are of course reversable. In short, you have to understand and accept that the mind can actually generate these physical sensations.
Whilst for many people physical anxiety can strike out of the blue, I am of the opinion that for the vast majority of people anxiety starts to become physical after whay could be many years of bad stress and anxiety management. You may not have even noticed this. We all have an anxiety threshold and the majority of people will probably never approach the blow off point, yes, a sudden and severe stressor could take someone right over the point from the baseline (think Post Traumatic Stress Disorder & Conversion Disorder etc) but most of us operate at an anxiety level that our bodies can handle. The problem is that if we stress ourselves constantly over a period of time, we do not allow our thermostat to reset and one sunny day something will happen, some stressor which can be a bad or even a good event and which we may not even realise the significance of will push us over the limit and it is at this point that our anxiety will effect us physically and more often than not impact on our nervous system.
This also happens to bring us to another crucial factor and what for many is the paradox that holds us back form accepting the anxiety diagniosis, how the hell can this be anxiety when I am not anxious? It makes no sense to me! What we need to realise is that once we have crossed the anxiety threshold no matter what we do we have to surrender ourselves to our mind and body and accept that we are now operating to a timescale that WE CANNOT CONTROL! We can think we are being as cool as Fonzie but we need to accept that the damage whilst reversible has been done and it is just a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. Our body is now in control of us and the physical sensations will only stop when our body and mind are sufficently recovered.
It is at this point where we commit the ultimate folly, do we do as the experts suggest and sit back and realx and float through this stage? Of course not, we do the total opposite, we monitor our body for every twitch and interpret this as a sign of a misdiagnosis, we become hypervigilant, paranoid, self absorbed…this behaviour just creates more and more anxiety and we do not allow our body and mind the time necessary to recover….we are, in effect, pouring gasoline on the fire and expecting it to go out.
If you read this forum you will find a variety of posts that will offer you suggestions as to why you are suffering from the physical sensations of anxiety. Some people will advocate medication, some Cognitive Behaviour Therapy etc etc but what you will realise is that there is no one right way. I am truly of the belief that recovery is all about acceptance and learning to respond to fear correctly but how we do this is very much an indvidual thing. It could well be that you have issues with GAD and you can see how patterns realting to that disorder resonate with how you currently feel about your health, for example, note how both MS and ALS are diseases with which we lose control of our bodies. It could also be that you have issues with OCD, traits such as reassurance seeking and body and symptom monitoring could suggest this. There may well be suggestions that you could be sufferring from elements of depression, there is as school of thought that believes that the mind will somatise physical sensations when there are aspects of your life that your unconcious is unhappy with etc.
I hope this has helped if you have just visited here convinced you have MS etc and you are feeling scared and confused. You may have noticed I have not mentioned anything specific about MS or ALS and that is because there is no reason to...you do not have those. Your doctor has told you you are suffering from anxiety and therefore you are in the right place. Refrain from researching about diseases you do not have and instead concentrate on dealing with what you have today. Of course, what you have today doesn’t guarantee you won’t have MS or ALS tomorrow and if that thought fills you with fear use your time here wisely and believe me, it becomes a lot more bearable.

Lately, both in person and on this sub, I have seen a worrying amount of misinformation spreading about the political party Aon Tu. This misinformation either states that they are a left/liberal party or that they are not right/conservative. This is however clearly wrong as any amount of inspection of their statements and social media makes clear; any clear dive into their policies and statements make it clear that they are instead very right wing, if not far right. They use the many familiar terms associated with similar parties, hold the same stances, and even retweet them and their content.
In order to illustrate this below I am presenting the various tweets made by Peadar Tóibín (the current leader of the party, their founder, and currently sole elected official) as well as their official twitter account. I have limited it solely to tweets due to time and space constraints, I have also had to limit the amount of tweets due to the same constraints There is more and I strongly encourage anyway to check their accounts for themselves. If there is interest I can do a deep dive into their other socials and statements, however I do not think there is a way to access the backlog of debates they have had on RTE and radio unfortunately. I believe this thread will stand on it's own however and other such threads won't be needed.

i have always been a numbers guy. math came quick to me, specifically arithmetic. In 2nd grade when we did those pages full of addition or subtraction they had to give me two pages because I’d finish a paper (albeit one or two mistakes out of 50ish problems) and just be sitting there. Then in 4th grade I had 2 multiplication or division papers as well. I didn’t enjoy the theory based math nearly as much, so I didn’t pursue past Calculus II. I liked it because it was still math, but I couldn’t see it being useful to continue into, at least for me.
Now I am in my 4/4 year of college and I should be graduating with my Undergrad this year. I have figured Accounting was it after a grueling two years of economics/finance, again not into theory. Since then, accounting has just become natural to me, i like debits/credits, i understand depreciation, i actually enjoy doing taxes whether it be individual, business, or even not for profit, i feel like I am finding that i genuinely enjoy accounting topics that i am being introduced to.
To be more clear, I had a tax internship this past tax season, first time i had dipped my toes in the actual career field. I enjoyed every second of it. I was working at my other job 30+ hours a week and did 15 hours of taxes every week, I can actually say, I can picture myself doing taxes for 10hrs a day or 55+ hours a week.
For context, internship offered me full time starting april 16th right after my internship. Mcol on West coast and making 55k while i still have 1 year left in college.
Am I going to hit a roadblock at some point? Or has this reigned true for others during the start of their careers? Is this maybe foreshadowing an enjoyment filled career? Or will I eventually crash and fall, maybe when my CPA desires start to approach. I just feel like I do not resonate with a lot of people on this subreddit and i want to know if it’s a me problem. I'm designing a LEGO mini-figure stand made from 3D printed matte black plastic to display mini-figures neatly. The mini-figures attach using real LEGO bricks. The nameplates are modular, and I'm working on bases and display arms for LEGO Star Wars ships. The pictures are an example of how the mini-figures from set 75337 could be displayed. I’m working on creating a group of 8 based and 6 different sized arms that could be used to display the majority of ships.

Hi When I connect the Insta360 X4 and take interval photos (camera controled by the Iphone app), all photos of the interval shot get the same GPS coordinates in their exif data, even when I move around during the interval shot. For my usecase, this makes the interval shoothing function useless.
Is there a way to ensure that every single photo of the interval shot gets the actual coordinates where it was taken?
Secondly, is there a way to get the camera to record its oritentation/direction into the exif data in addition to the GPS coordinates?
Last but not least, would using one of the INsta remote controls in combination with the X4 solve the above issues (correct coords in every picture, orientation of the camera)?

TL:DR; This is a journal of how i started astrophotography starting from just random noise to an actual photo of the stars, and while there isn't anything fancy like a nebula, this is just to show that while you may believe you can't do it with the gear you have, you certainly can get photos of the stars at a very reasonable quality, just don't expect to get anything amazing like deep space photos.
Day one: Never tried astro before, i've been using my partner's 1100d since he recently upgraded and while he mentioned i couldn't do astro on that camera i really wanted to try, LIKE I REALLY WANTED TO TRY. so i stuck my head out my window and tried to take some photos,
it was a very cloudy night and not to mention i live in the city, while i couldn't see a star in my sight i really just wanted to believe i could capture something, and while at the time i thought i was capturing something, i learnt about pattern noise in the days to come (can't really recall what it was called now but i think it was that)
so while i stacked all this up in sequator, for the night i slept happy thinking i captured something.

Day two: now at this point the skies were clear, and i really wanted to capture something,
(in reality while the light pollution is bad in my area, it's not as bad as other peoples so i had to at least try to take something good)
now this time I ran 5s shutter, f/5.6, 1600 ISO (Shooting raw for all my photos)
and for another day i was extremely happy, i also believed i had caught some amazing photos.
For someone's second day without anyone really there to give me solid advice, no fancy telescope.... or even basic telescope, just an unmodified DSLR and a window using the lens cap as some sort of stabilizing makeshift tripod under my lens.
at this stage my partner had already lost interest in what i was doing in the dark in the bedroom, BUT I WASN'T DONE YET! while in my mind i wanted to believe this was an amazing photo for me inside i still had doubts that some of this could have been random noise.

The third day: that day I went on the hunt for information about astro, i learnt about the ISO i should be using for my camera and for the best dynamic range,
I learnt about ISO variants, unsure if that's what you call it, but to sum it up quickly some cameras can have the same quality if you increase the EV+ to match a higher ISO and i knew mine didn't have that, and even though i knew it didn't i still went and performed the test to see, and from my results, 100ISO moved to 800ISO equivalent was the same result as 1600ISO, just a bit of food for thought.
while i was doing these tests I put my camera in a dark place and took a photo, and this was when I realized my first photo was just a bunch of stacked noise, So what did i do about it? I went and researched calibration frames,
I didn't do flats since at this point the sun was slowly setting and i didn't really have the confidence to do them,
so I made a bias master using DSS, I shoved my lens cap on and shoved my ISO to 1600, I ramped up my shutter speed to 1/4000, and took 70 photos just like that, i used the auto continuous mode to do ten at a time, and then stacked them up,

Now i went to the window once again, and found the brightest star i could find, I opened my aperture to the max, for me this was f/1.8, and with the ISO at 1600 my shutter speed had to be set to 0.6, now i shot the star for 10 shots using the auto continuous mode, then moved the camera ever so slightly over, i zoomed in on live view and made sure to keep the star within the box at 10x, and i repeated this 7 times, leading to 70 photos,
and while this is a low amount for this i wanted see the results,
after my shoot I did my darks, lens cap on, same shutter speed, same iso, and did 50 photos of just my darks before exporting everything to my computer,
Now i've never used DSS properly, It looked intimidating and that's why i went and used sequator HOWEVER TODAY WOULD BE DIFFERENT,
i setup DSS, shoved my bias master in (that i had also made in DSS), shoved in my darks and my lights, and let it get to work, and then i saw them, the stars, I was so happy, I then jumped into darktable to increase the EV to see if noise would occur and to my surprise it was the cleanest image I've taken of the stars, there wasn't any noise or pattern this time, I showed my partner and they just mentioned "it's just stars" before turning back to their phone, but to me it felt like i actually captured something, a light that comes from thousands of miles away, to me it was special and to be able to capture that from my window was an amazing feeling.
while i had to export the file as a jpg from darktable i still have the Raws/Tifs, from being told i couldn't take pictures of the stars less than 3 days ago i really tried even though i don't have any fancy tracker or telescope, i really just wanted a picture of the stars,
while i was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY LUCKY to have clear skies, during all of this knowing that my first picture was just a bunch of noise to actually getting a picture i was happy with, all the information i learnt to try to take even better photos, i really was on a journey to finding a new hobby.

I wrote this all on imgur first privately and copy and pasted it over to save time but I wanted to express my feeling and thoughts while i was taking these photos so that it hopefully also motivates some beginners to try to take some photos of the stars, while i know they aren't up to the quality of any nebula photo or moon photo shot on a mobile phone (which i think is absolutely amazing and yet mind-blowing) they are still special to me and while "they are just stars" it's the beginning of something great.

First of all, I want to clarify that I have no intention of trading these. I’m simply curious. Over time, I’ve looked at 5 random tokens; I tracked all the wallets from minting to volume washing, identified coordinator accounts, calculated profits, etc. Their strategy became quite evident after a certain point, with few variables. The ones I examined closed completely between 2 minutes and 1 hour with profits ranging from 8 to 50 Solana. None of them had any real interest behind them. The websites, Twitter, and Telegram accounts were created the same day with minimal fake activity, and no real promotional efforts were made.
So, my question is, how do the people who buy into these tokens even find them in such a short time, and what criteria do they use to decide that a particular token is worth gambling on? Do they watch for new tokens on BirdEye and throw money at everything? Or do they use bots with no actual prior evaluation? But what bots do they use and with what settings, if they’re even buying into tokens where LP tokens aren’t burned and the Freeze Authority isn’t renounced? By the way, in the case of the 5 fully tracked tokens mentioned, these specific red flags were not present - I didn't see the point of investigate those to such an extent. I’m really curious about the background of this.

I checked but no NAT gateways were active in any region. i Have already mailed for a waiver but would like to know how or why did this occur and how to prevent it. I would also like to know if there are any other things that i need to watch out for. Also do the default VPC's also charge? i seem to have one in all regions. I also have 6 subnets in my region and more than one in several regions. I have added an image for reference. the documentation i was referring is also linked below.
