2024.05.19 17:39 villainfvcker (after making stuff up in my head for an hour) wow.. everyone is out here thinking what a loser and stupid bum i am. i just have to become depressed and withdrawn over this for the next 5 days (im so sorry for the big rant)

i hate get togethers with my insanely more successful cousins. i just had the WORST day yesterday, and i couldn’t stop thinking about every single thing i did that was wrong and not correct in a very obvious social situation.
like, after the initial hi and hellos, i fell silent as my mom and my younger sister immediately started laughing and joking around with them. my cousins are also in their early 20s like me, but theyre very successful with great jobs and they travel all over the world. i’ve known them my entire life but our visits are rare so each time i fumble over how much they’ve changed, how many stories they have and how affluent they can make themselves be just by the way they act. anything i say or add in on the conversation just falls flat because it sounds so unfunny and lame. i am just a failed artist who is just working at a bookstore now, there’s not much to talk about there.
i was so awkward, every time i tried to ask them something new about their life or plans i got all my words tangled and stuttered so i just paused and pretended to laugh it away as they continued being a lot more interested in my younger sister’s conversations.
my aunt made a lot of food so she called everyone inside to get some. idk anyone else but i hate getting food around so many people i’m shy around. everyone was easily grabbing plates and forks and loading up on different platters but i just froze and stood outside on the deck, pretending to scroll through my phone. i never know how to act normal when getting food—i feel like i will look greedy and stupid as i awkwardly shuffle around spooning food on my plate and look for somewhere to eat it. so i just stood on the deck until i heard my mom be like “where’s (my name)” and she saw me outside and sighed really loud. she handed me a plate and fork and told me not to be shy right now. i could tell she was so annoyed by my inability to be normal and just get food on my own like a grown person, and to my embarrassment at this point i had TEARS POOLING IN MY EYES. oh my god i was scared shitless that they would fall as i was trying to quickly spoon pasta onto my plate. WHY WAS I ON THE VERGE OF CRYING OH MY GOD??? my uncle was across from me and he was like “oh no chicken?” and i stuttered out something about being a vegetarian and everyone nearby chuckled and i dont even know if the tears dropped or not but i just immediately stepped out onto the deck again.
at this point all my cousins and my sister had their chairs in a circle as they conversed really loudly and laughing as they ate. one of my cousins waved me over to bring my chair to the circle, but there was literally no space for mine so i just awkwardly placed it a few feet away from the circle and ate in silence as they continued their talk. i was silent the entire time, nobody asked me anything about myself or my life, just politely asked if i wanted more food or drinks to which i obviously said no to even though i was still starving from only scooping like two scoops of pasta on my plate. my sister who is years younger than me was so much better at this. she talked and laughed and made them all collapse with laughter.
my mind always goes blank whenever i want to say something funny or cool around other people. i get so, so shy. i start to have this stupid waver in my voice and i always look like i have tears in my eyes. my words never ever come out in the right order.
one of my aunt’s friend was there and she was like oh “why does (my name) not talk much she’s just sitting there?” and my mom told her that i’ve always been a quiet and shy person and that i like to be by myself. obviously my mom is not at fault here but in my head i was like no!!! no i do not like to be by myself please talk to me everybody just start the conversation with me first and ask follow up questions so i can keep continuing it please talk to me!!!! please i can be interesting and funny too just bring me into the conversation more please!!!
oh i am just so fucking bad at this i will keep looping everything i did wrong for the next week.

2024.05.19 16:26 Mother_Branch_5630 Almost 13 month old doesn’t feed himself

First time parents. Baby loves most food if we feed him it. Occasionally he will take a preloaded baby fork or spoon and use it, but most times we hold it for him or try to guide him and he pulls back and gets mad. He will also not eat food on high chair tray, instead, he will do the wipers and throw on the floor. He will pickup his sippy straw bottle just fine and suck away, he will pickup baby puff and put in my mouth but not his. We’re at the point of considering a feeding OT. But figured I’d see what people think first, before going that route. Thanks!

2024.05.19 15:22 turbo_sc300 Reverse gear grind while feathering the clutch ?

Since the day I installed a new r154 directly from Toyota, reverse grinds after engaging and only if I feather it. I have a 6 pick ceramic clutch so it’s super grabby, it’s difficult to reverse without feathering it. While it grinds, it never completely slips out of reverse. Just sounds terrible.
If I let it slip without giving any gas and let the clutch fully grab, it’ll never make noise besides the normal straight cut gear sound.
Could my clutch be too aggressive for this transmission ? I assume the aggressive grab/slip is causing it to do that. It’s a driftmotion stage 3.5 ceramic clutch, has about 25k miles on it. Along with a new oem flywheel, pilot bearing, clutch fork, slave and master. It’s fully manual swapped.

The full deck contains all the words from levels A1 to C1 found in both 'The Oxford 3000' and 'The Oxford 5000', comprising 12,693 cards! Currently, it is only partially completed, as I have created/checked only 700 images out of the 12,693.
For now, I am sharing only a sample of the deck, which contains 565 cards. I am eager to hear your thoughts on the sample deck and whether it needs to be fully completed. The project requires a lot of time and effort, and I have already spent about 2 years on it, with approximately 2-3 months dedicated to the images. Additionally, €350 was spent on the GPT-4 API to generate prompts and eventually on the Leonardo AI API to generate images – Unfortunately, resulting in ~70% being unacceptable. That is why the images must be generated and picked by hand. Essentially, the future of the project depends on your feedback and support ♥

2024.05.19 14:50 theswillmerchant The Great Serpent, The Formless Mother, and The Blood Star

The Great Serpent, The Formless Mother, and The Blood Star
I believe that the Great Serpent of Mt. Gelmir and The Formless Mother are related through Red Glintstone and The Blood Star. The nature of their relationship is unclear at this time, and although I have a theory I will not make any claim of certainty. Still, I think there is strong evidence that they share some significant ties to one another, and these connections lead to some interesting questions/observations about the nature of the Outer Gods.
Before I start I should acknowledge that:
  1. This game’s lore is often purposefully obtuse and it’s extremely difficult to say anything concrete.
  2. While mechanics and lore interact really well in Fromsoft games, sometimes a mechanic exists because it’s fun and cool, and not because it reveals some deeper truth about the story.
  3. I am not an Elden Ring Lore expert. I am also not a real life anthropologist, historian, writer, or anything else that would give me any real insight into these games and their lore or themes. I just think this stuff is neat.
Red Glintstone and The Blood Star
With that out of the way, let’s begin by talking about Red Glintstone. Most of the information about it comes from a few items, The Staff of the Guilty and Alberich’s Set. The Staff of the Guilty is a staff wielded by Thorn Sorcerers, found in certain areas of Liurnia and the Mountaintops of the Giants. The Thorn Sorcerers are criminals who have been punitively blinded with briars, and placed into servitude as soldiers under the Fire Monks. An excellent video by SmoughTown (which I will reference heavily from this point on) goes into much greater detail on the nature of these aberrant mages.
Alberich’s Set is the clothing of Mad Tongue Alberich, a former servant of the Roundtable Hold and heretical sorcerer. Most players will encounter him when he invades on the ground floor of the Roundtable, however his set is acquired from the Roundtable’s physical counterpart, the Fortified Manor in Leyndell.
The Staff of the Guilty reads:
“A heretical staff fashioned from a smoldering, withered sapling that turns the blood of sacrifices pierced by it into glintstone. Similar to hex magic.
Sorceries are scaled with faith rather than intelligence when wielding this staff which enhances Thorn sorceries in particular.”
Alberich’s Set (specifically the robe) reads:
“Mad Tongue Alberich's robe.
Set with red glintstones said to be formed by the blood of sacrifices. Strengthens thorn sorcery.
Alberich was an aloof yet disturbed heretical sorcerer said to have been driven mad by jeering tongues during his service to the Roundtable Hold long ago.”
What we learn from these items is that Red Glintstone is a form of Glintstone created from the blood of sacrifices. This is an odd property for any type of Glintstone to possess, since all other sources of information surrounding Glintstone imply that it is heavily related to the Stars and the Primeval Current, not something as terrestrial as blood.
The beginnings of an explanation for this come from the descriptions of two spells, namely those used by the Thorn Sorcerers and Alberich himself. These spells are called Briars of Sin and Briars of Punishment which read:
“An aberrant sorcery discovered by exiled criminals. Theirs are the sorceries most reviled by the academy.
Wounds the caster with thorns of punishment, sending a trail of bloodthorns running over the ground to impale enemies from below…
The guilty, their eyes gouged by thorns, lived in eternal darkness. There, they discovered the blood star.”
So the Blood Star seems to be a celestial body that appears to the guilty after they are blinded. Again, SmoughTown’s video goes into great detail on this topic, but the brief summary is that it is an entity in and of itself, as many stars appear to be within Elden Ring’s cosmology. It is also the source of the astral properties necessary for a stone formed of blood to function as Glintstone. Through a combination of faith in this entity, bodily sacrifice, and this specific variant of Glintstone, aberrant magic can be wielded.
Another possible mention of the Blood Star, though less direct, comes from the description of the Great Stars weapon:
“Huge bludgeon with three stars at the striking end. Though primarily a striking weapon, the stars' spikes cause blood loss.
A blood-stained star is an ill omen, a fact not lost upon those against whom this weapon is brought to bear. Landing attacks slightly restores HP.”
The phrasing of this “ill omen”, along with its ability to restore HP, will become relevant later.
The Formless Mother
A logical leap that many people have taken when researching these topics is to assume that the Blood Star is in some way related to The Formless Mother, the Outer God that bestows blood-related power to Mohg and his followers. At the risk of sounding repetitive, SmoughTown again explores this relationship, noting their similarities mechanically (the fact that magic from these sources causes the Hemorrhage/Blood Loss status effect) and thematically (the fact that both of these entities seem to seek bloodshed, demanding sacrifices explicitly or wounds generally). He does however say that there are enough differences in the information known about these figures to cast some doubt on them being one and the same. I agree with this, however I do still believe they are related in a way that I will discuss after mentioning the other source of Red Glintstone present in the game.
The Great Serpent of Mt. Gelmir
In the war ravaged landscape of Mt. Gelmir stands Volcano Manor, home of Praetor Rykard. Within this fortified castle’s prison town are the Man-Serpents, the results of a blasphemous breeding process who patrol and defend against intruders. And one particular man-serpent wields a staff, the Gelmir Glintstone Staff.
“Staff with a forked tip, embedded with red glintstones. Enhances lava sorceries.
The Man-Serpents of Mt. Gelmir draw from faith in addition to intelligence to enhance the potency of their sorcery.”
Once again we see Red Glintstone used in a spell catalyst, and again it imbues this tool with properties reliant on faith. For further detail, we need to look at some of the aforementioned Lava Sorceries that are enhanced by this staff.
Magma Shot reads:
“One of the sorceries developed from the magma of Mt. Gelmir. …
After discovering the ancient hexes of Gelmir, Rykard, son of Queen Rennala, brought them back into practical use as new forms of sorcery.”
These sorceries are ancient, originally practiced by the adherents of a pagan religion that worshiped the Great Serpent of Mt. Gelmir. The timeline of events is not explicit, but it is a reasonable assumption that Rykard's incorporation of these hexes into modern sorcery was a component of his adoption of the ancient Gelmir religion, and his worship and great sacrifice to the Serpent.
In addition, the practices of the Gelmir Pagans provide another tie between Red Glintstone and ritual sacrifice. The Serpent-God’s Curved Sword says:
“Curved sword fashioned in the image of an ancient serpent deity and tool of a forgotten religion practiced on Mt. Gelmir.
Formerly used to offer up sacrifices, this sword restores HP upon slaying an enemy.”
These sacrifices are likely the source of the Red Glintstone used to channel the magic of Mt. Gelmir.
The Connections
Red Glintstone, through its presence in the Gelmir Glintstone Staff, Staff of the Guilty, and Alberich's set, ties together the Thorn Sorceries, and by extension the Blood Star, with the Gelmir magics. If you agree with the idea that the Blood Star and the Formless Mother are also related, then this also bridges together the followers of Rykard and Mohg. But Red Glintstone is not the only commonality between these factions and practices.
In no particular order:
Both Gelmir Sorceries and the Staff of the Guilty mention “Hex Magic”. Along with this being a nod to Dark Souls 2’s magic system, this language seems to distinguish these schools of magic from other Sorceries or Incantations. In particular, it groups both of these into a class of magic deemed heretical by current magic practitioners.
As mentioned above, both the Gelmir Religion and the Blood Star explicitly mention sacrifices as a source of their power.
(Credit to u/rukh999) All of the concepts/factions mentioned here share the theme of Heresy. Rykard and the Gelmir religion are "Blasphemous". The Briars and the Blood Star are tied to "Sin". As for the Formless Mother, the Bloodboon Incantations reads:
"Sacred incantation of Mohg, Lord of Blood.
Thrust arm into the body of the Formless Mother, then scatter the bloodflame to set the area ablaze.
...
The mother of truth craves wounds. When Mohg stood before her, deep underground, his accursed blood erupted with fire, and besotted with the defilement that he was born into."
Given the fact that the "underground" referenced here is likely the Shunning Grounds, a place for the outcasts of Leyndell, along with the explicit usage of the words "accursed" and "defilement" it is clear that the Formless Mother deals in these same themes.
Both Thorn Sorceries and many of the skills of the Formless Mother require a tithe of the user’s blood to be paid. Thorn Sorceries and the skills Seppuku, Bloody Slash, and Blood Blade deal damage to the caster in addition to their enemies, incorporating the thematic idea of sacrifice into gameplay mechanics.
Again speaking mechanically, both the Formless Mother and the Great Serpent offer their adherents methods of healing via combat. The Blasphemous Blade, Serpent-God’s Curved Sword, Devourer’s Scepter, Taker’s Cameo, and Rykard’s Great Rune are all holy artifacts of the Gelmir Religion, either from the ancient era or from Rykard’s. Critically, they all confer the power of healing by defeating enemies, or simply by attacking them in the case of the Blasphemous Blade and Devourer’s Scepter weapon skills. While there are a few other methods of achieving this effect scattered amongst the factions of the Lands Between, one of the most notable practitioners is Mohg, who uses his Sacred Spear to heal himself with his Bloodboon Ritual. It is worth noting that one of the only other ways to achieve the effect of healing via combat is with the Great Stars, providing another possible tie between these groups. Here I will acknowledge that this line of reasoning does not include the Greathorn Hammer, Butchering Knife, Assassin’s Crimson Dagger, or Malenia’s Great Rune, the other notable examples of this type of mechanic. For those curious, I believe that Malenia’s healing is at least partially explained by VaatiVidya in his video on the topic. Vaati is a small up-and-coming lore channel and I’m sure the little guy could really use a like and a sub!
Perhaps most significantly though are the Recusant Finger and Bloody Finger items. These items, bestowed to the player after joining the ranks of Rykard and Mohg’s cults respectively, are functionally identical tools that allow invasions of other players’ worlds. Both are used for the express purpose of spilling Tarnished blood, and I do not believe it is a coincidence that they are related to the two demigods in question.
Given these threads connecting The Formless Mother, the Blood Star, and the Gelmir religion, what is the nature of their relationship? There seems to be a developing theme of "Similar but Different" as if these groups are warped reflections of one another. In my opinion, these cultures and practices share some kind of common ancestry. Again, while I don’t feel confident enough to state it with certainty, I will provide a possible explanation informed, ironically, by the Greater Will.
A Star Bearing a Beast
Most mentions of stars in the game’s text come from sources that are associated with the Glintstone, the Astrologers, Raya Lucaria, Astel, etc. However there is at least one mention of a star that sheds some light on their relationship to Outer Gods, the description of Elden Stars:
“This legendary incantation is the most ancient of those that derive from the Erdtree.

It is said that long ago, the Greater Will sent a golden star bearing a beast into the Lands Between, which would later become the Elden Ring.”
It’s worth noting here that a topic often discussed by lore enthusiasts is the voice of the narrator in item descriptions, and the fact that it seems to change between items and vary in its reliability. For instance, rather than saying anything with concrete certainty here, it reads “It is said…” implying there is something apocryphal about the information. It is also worth mentioning that this description in particular is infamous in the community for muddying the waters on the nature of the Elden Ring, inscriptions found in Farum Azula, the timeline of the Lands Between, and many other topics.
Still, if we take this description at face value then it seems to imply that some stars, along with being entities themselves, are within the dominion of Outer Gods, and can be sent to the Lands Between “bearing beasts”. In the case of the Elden Star, a safe assumption would be that the beast in question is the Elden Beast, of frustrating boss fight fame.
Another item that relates ephemeral Outer Gods to corporeal creatures is the Twinbird Kite Shield:
“Shield featuring a vividly painted twinbird.
The twinbird is said to be the envoy of an outer god, and mother of the Deathbirds...”
Once again a presumably physical beast, the Twinbird, is said to be the envoy of an unnamed Outer God. If these two items represent a trend, then we can assume that Outer Gods have the ability to install “Beasts” in the Lands Between. The reason for this is unclear. They may be sent as sentient weapons to fight in proxy wars. It’s also possible that they are intended to be physical manifestations of the Outer Gods to spur worship. Thanks to the existence of the Two and Three Fingers, the Fire Giant, and Malenia, there is no shortage of evidence that the Outer Gods either require avatars in the Lands Between to communicate for them and exert their will, or at the very least prefer an indirect relationship for unknowable reasons. Regardless, it leads me to propose a theory:
The Theory
The Formless Mother, an Outer God, controled the Blood Star. This star was sent long before the current age to deliver a beast to the Lands Between, and this beast was the Great Serpent. Whether simply due to great expanses of time, the dominance of the Greater Will and the subsequent shunning of other Outer Gods, or some other reason that is left undiscovered, the link connecting these entities became faded, if not severed entirely. As a result, their once cohesive goals and principles diverged. The wounds craved by the Formless Mother became the sacrifices of sinners offered to the Blood Star, and the sacrificial practices of the Gelmir worshippers no longer satisfied the Serpent, now driven by world consuming avarice. These once merged forces were now fragmented, fated to fade into relative obscurity. Each sought new adherents in the sewers below the Erdtree, in the mountains overlooking it, and in the sinners exiled from it. The faithful of each deity created their own manner of worship, similar but different. This process can be observed in countless real world cultures who share common ancestry but diverge into discrete civilizations or religions. I believe that this explains the overlap between these seemingly disparate factions, while also accounting for their clear separation. Fromsoft has proven time and time again to be a team obsessed with the layering of culture and the echos of half-forgotten history, and I feel that this is yet another example of this theme.
I will say again that I am far from certain of this, as obviously there is no direct evidence of the Blood Star being "sent", or that every Outer God manifests a Beast. The Outer Gods are difficult to interpret at the best of times, and making generalizations about them is often unwise. Still, I believe strongly that some relationship of this type exists between these groups. I hope that with the DLC looming we may be given more information about the ancient era of the Lands Between and the various religions and cultures that existed prior to the dominance of Marika's Golden Order, but knowing Fromsoft I think it’s likely we’ll get more questions than answers.
Epilogue
If you’ve read this entire thing then the toilet seat is likely cutting off the circulation to your legs and you should stand up, but I greatly appreciate your time. Please let me know what you think of this theory, or if there’s anything you think I’ve misinterpreted or left out entirely.

2024.05.19 10:11 ardouronerous Chopsticks makes you appreciate the food better

I just eaten in a Vietnamese restaurant and the utensils used are chopsticks.
I have noticed that, eating with chopsticks makes you appreciate the food better. With chopsticks, you are eating slowly, slowly picking and grabbing the food with the chopsticks and savoring each bite, unlike with spoons and forks, you are shoveling the food into your mouth quickly, eating quickly.
I know that you can choose to slowly eat with spoons and forks too, but with chopsticks, you are forced to eat slowly and savor the food.

I've been using the BHeadCat Electric Lunch Box for quite some time now, and I can't tell you how much of a game-changer it's been. As someone who spends a lot of time on the road, this little device has been a lifesaver. The fact that it comes with two separate power cords for home, office, or car use is a godsend. I don't have to worry about searching for a microwave every time I get hungry.
One thing I love about this lunch box is its 75W fast heating. With energy-efficient PTC heating components, I never have to worry about overheating my food. Plus, the low-consumption heating cycle keeps my food warm and ready to eat in 20-30 minutes. No more cold, unappetizing meals while I'm driving!
Another great thing about the BHeadCat Electric Lunch Box is how easy it is to clean. The food-grade PP material and premium stainless steel make it safe for dishwasher use. The detachable tray is also a nice touch, making it easy to separate different foods. Plus, the included plastic compartment is perfect for storing smaller items like utensils or snacks.
The portability and leak-proof design of this lunch box are fantastic. The built-in rubber seal and four snaps keep my food secure and prevent any spills. And the carry handle? I don't know how I ever lived without it. Whether I'm at work, in the car, or just out running errands, I can bring my heated lunch box with me everywhere I go.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my BHeadCat Electric Lunch Box. It's made my life on the road so much easier and more enjoyable. If you're someone who's always on the go and needs a reliable way to keep your food warm, I highly recommend giving this lunch box a try.

Once upon a time, I found myself needing to take hot, home-cooked meals to work. I came across the TRAVELISIMO Electric Lunch Box and my life changed for the better. This electric lunchbox heats up your meal in just 20-30 minutes with its powerful 80W power. All you need to do is plug it in, close the lid, and wait for your meal to be hot and ready.
One of the things that stood out about this lunchbox was its leak-proof design. The enhanced lid and secure snap-lock system prevent spills, making it a reliable companion for transporting any type of dish, whether liquid or not. I could even carry soup without worrying about it spilling all over my bag.
The TRAVELISIMO Electric Lunch Box is also incredibly versatile. With its various voltage settings (12V/24V and 110V), it suits cars, trucks, or office desks. I love how it allows me to enjoy homemade, healthy meals on the road, avoiding fast-food stops with ease.
Cleaning the lunch box is a breeze, another feature that I really appreciated. Made with top-tier 304 stainless steel, it ensures food safety and durability while also being dishwasher-friendly. The stainless-steel container is very easy to clean, which is a big plus when it comes to lunchboxes.
However, there were a couple of downsides worth mentioning. First, the power cord is a bit short, which can be inconvenient if you're trying to use it in a car or at a desk without an extension cord. Second, the lunch box can take up quite a bit of room in a bag, so it's not the most portable option out there.
In conclusion, the TRAVELISIMO Electric Lunch Box is a great choice for anyone looking to take warm, home-cooked meals with them on the go. Its leak-proof design and easy cleaning make it a reliable and convenient choice. While there are some minor drawbacks, overall, this lunchbox has made my life so much easier and my meals healthier and more delicious.

I've been using the Axgear Electric Lunch Box for about two weeks now, and I must say I'm quite impressed. Its large capacity has been a lifesaver for my workdays, allowing me to bring a balanced meal in the morning and enjoy it warm later in the day. The removable containers are a game-changer, making it super easy to fill up, clean out, and even reheat my food.
However, there is one downside to this lunchbox - the heating time. It can take anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes to warm up my meal, which can be a bit of a wait. But that's the price we pay for safety, as the 40W power ensures that my car remains safe from overheating.
All in all, I'm really happy with the Axgear Electric Lunch Box. It's perfect for busy people like me who need a reliable and safe way to enjoy a warm meal on the go, whether I'm at work, running errands, or simply enjoying a picnic in the park.

I recently purchased the BEVCEKNS Electric Lunch Box for my daily commute, and I've been pleasantly surprised. Not only is it sleek and stylish, but it's also incredibly efficient at keeping my meals warm throughout the day. The 80W heating function ensures that my food stays hot, even after hours in the car.
The highlight of this lunchbox has to be its portability and convenience. I can easily take it with me wherever I go, whether it's to the office or on a camping trip. Plus, with a capacity of 1.8 liters, I can pack enough food for multiple meals.
However, one downside I've noticed is that the leak-proof seal isn't as effective as advertised. On a couple of occasions, some liquid has seeped out, but overall it hasn't been a major issue.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an electric lunch box that's not only functional but also visually appealing, I highly recommend the BEVCEKNS Electric Lunch Box. It's perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy hot and healthy meals on the go.

When I first saw the Hotlogic Mini 12V, I knew I had to give it a try. As someone who spends a lot of time on the road, I was tired of eating cold meals and dealing with microwaves. This little device has completely changed my lunch routine.
The Hotlogic Mini is incredibly easy to use. All you need to do is place your meal in a container, insert it into the pouch, plug it into your car's 12V outlet, and let it work its magic. You don't even need to monitor it; just go about your business and enjoy your hot meal when you're ready.
One thing that stood out for me was the even cooking. I've tried other food warmers before, but they always ended up burning or drying out my food. The Hotlogic Mini ensures your food stays moist and delicious without any extra effort from you.
However, there are a few cons to consider. First, the heating time can be a bit slow, especially for frozen meals. It's not a big deal for me since I usually have plenty of time while I'm driving, but if you're in a hurry, this might not be the best choice.
Second, the power cord is quite short, which can be inconvenient if your car's 12V outlet is located far away from your seat. I've had to make do with a few extension cords, but it would be nice if the cord was longer.
Overall, the Hotlogic Mini 12V has made my long drives much more enjoyable. It's a convenient, portable, and easy-to-use device that keeps my food hot and delicious. While there are some minor drawbacks, I highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a way to enjoy warm meals on the go.

As a busy mom who needs to bring hot meals for my kids, I recently came across the VIGIND VECH Electric Lunch Box. It's become a game-changer in our daily routine! The moment I received it, I noticed how well-constructed and compact it was - perfect for school lunches.
One highlight that stood out was its stylish appearance. Its round cover design not only gives it a unique look but also keeps food fresh. I also appreciated the use of PTC heating elements, making it safer and more energy-efficient than other lunchboxes I've tried.
However, it does take slightly longer to heat up than advertised. But once it gets going, it keeps the meal warm and fresh without any loss of flavor. So, while there may be a minor inconvenience during the initial heating process, the overall experience with this lunchbox has been excellent.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable, stylish, and well-functioning electric lunch box for your kids' school lunches, the VIGIND VECH Electric Lunch Box is definitely worth considering. I recently purchased the PremiumPlus Electric Lunch Box, and it has quickly become a game-changer in my daily lunch routine. It's not only a convenient way to heat up my food at the office, but also perfect for when I'm on the road in my truck.
One of the standout features of this lunchbox is its rapid heating capability. In just 20-30 minutes, my meals are nice and warm, ready for me to dig in. It's also leak-proof, which means I can confidently toss it into my bag without worrying about any spillage.
Not to mention, the lightweight design makes it super easy to carry around, and the three compartments allow me to pack a variety of foods. It's like a mini microwave that keeps my meals tasting fresh and delicious.
On the downside, the power cord is a tad short, making it a little difficult to plug in when using it in the car. Additionally, the car adapter could be more durable, as it tends to get a bit hot during use.
Overall, the PremiumPlus Electric Lunch Box has been a fantastic addition to my daily life, making heating up meals on-the-go a breeze. While it does have some minor drawbacks, the pros far outweigh the cons, making it a worthwhile investment.

As a busy trucker, I always look for solutions to keep my meals warm and fresh while on the road. That's when I came across the Letaaka Electric Lunch Box Food Warmer. This little device has been a game-changer in my daily routine. The 1.5L capacity is perfect for a filling meal, and the real 304-stainless steel inner box ensures quick and even heating of my cold food.
One of the standout features of this lunch box is its safety. The outer casing is made of food-grade PP plastic, which is high-temperature resistant, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. But my favorite aspect of this lunch box is the leak-proofing design. The sealing ring prevents any liquid from spilling in my truck, making it perfect for those bumpy rides.
Another perk of this lunch box is the variety of accessories it comes with. From the insulated lunch bag to the stainless steel spoon, fork, and knife, I have everything I need to enjoy a hot and delicious meal on the go. The charging cables for both 110V (home) and 12V/24V (car) make it convenient to use wherever I am.
Despite its many pros, the Letaaka Electric Lunch Box Food Warmer does have some areas for improvement. The capacity, while generous, might not be enough for those with huge appetites. Additionally, the charging process can be a bit slow, adding a few extra minutes to my mealtime.
Overall, the Letaaka Electric Lunch Box Food Warmer has been a reliable companion on my long drives. Its safety features, leak-proof design, and generous accessory set make it a worthwhile investment for any trucker or office worker looking to enjoy a hot meal on the go.

I recently got the opportunity to try out this nifty little gadget - the Electric Lunch Box Food Heater. As someone who needs to eat on the go most days of the week, I can't express how much I've been loving this product.
Firstly, it's incredibly easy to use. All I have to do is put my food in the 1.5L container, plug it into my car or office power outlet, and voila! In no time, my food is warm and ready to eat. Another feature that really stood out for me is its leak-proof design. It's kept my car clean and free of spills, even when I've been driving on bumpy roads.
However, one thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't actually cook your food; it only reheats it. So, if you're planning to cook your meals at work or in the car, this might not be the best choice for you.
Overall, I'd highly recommend the Electric Lunch Box Food Heater if you're someone who's always on the go and needs their meals hot and ready.

I recently purchased the Car Food Warmer by TALC to keep my meals warm during long workdays. The compact design fits perfectly in my car's cupholder and doesn't require much space. The adjustable/detachable shoulder strap makes it easy to take with me on picnics or road trips. It's been a game-changer for lunchtime convenience!
The highlights of this portable oven include its ability to work with various container materials like metal, glass, cardboard, and ceramic. Its automatic temperature control reaches up to 90°C (194°F), ensuring that my food stays nice and warm. The aluminum insulate bag not only keeps my food warm but also maintains a safe thermal condition during transportation.
On the downside, the heating plate dimension is relatively smaller than I initially expected, which limits the amount of food I can heat at once. Additionally, the heating plate isn't as durable as I would like it to be - I had to replace it after a few months of regular use.
Overall, the Car Food Warmer has made my daily lunch routine more enjoyable, but I wish it had a larger heating surface and a slightly more durable heating plate.

I've been using the Eocolz Electric Lunch Box for a few weeks now, and it's been a game-changer in my daily routine. This convenient little device has turned my cold lunchbox into a warm and comforting spot for my meals.
It's incredibly easy to use - just place your food in the stainless steel compartment, plug it in, and wait a few minutes. It even comes with a car plug, making this perfect for long drives or road trips when you need a hot meal on the go.
The highlight of this product is its heating power. I tried it with various foods, including burgers, salmon, and even some soup, and it worked perfectly each time. The best part was that I never had to worry about uneven heating or dry out my food.
The capacity of 1.5 liters is more than enough for a filling lunch, but it doesn't take up too much space in my bag. And speaking of space, the additional plastic compartment is a great feature that allows me to keep my side dishes separate from my main dish.
There are a few cons though. The lid can be a bit difficult to latch down, requiring some extra effort. Additionally, the power cord is on the shorter side, which may limit where you can use it.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Eocolz Electric Lunch Box for anyone looking for a convenient way to enjoy warm meals wherever they are. Whether you're in the office, school, or on the road, this little warmer will make your lunchtime more enjoyable and satisfying.

I recently took this portable electric lunch box on a week-long business trip, and I must say, it has been a game changer for me. No more cold, unappealing meals or relying on expensive and unhealthy fast food options. The ability to enjoy a hot, homemade meal anywhere has made my travels so much more enjoyable.
The 80W power ensures quick and efficient heating, and the various voltage settings make it suitable for use in cars, trucks, or office desks. The leak-proof design provides peace of mind when transporting saucy or liquid dishes, while the stainless-steel construction ensures durability and easy cleaning.
On the downside, it does not have a timer function, which would have been a nice addition for those who prefer to set and forget their meals. Additionally, the lid can be a little difficult to secure at times. However, these minor issues do not outweigh the overall convenience and quality this lunch box provides for people on the go.

Warm, Balanced Meals On-The-Go"
After using the electric lunch box for a week, I can confidently say that it's been an absolute lifesaver. The convenience of being able to heat up my food in my car or at home is invaluable. I'm a busy person, always on the go, but this lunch box has made sure I don't have to compromise on eating a warm, balanced meal.
The highlight feature for me is the dual voltage capability. Not only can I heat my food in my car using a 12V power source, but also at home with a 110V power source. It's versatile and perfect for my lifestyle.
The removable stainless steel container is another standout feature. Not only does it keep my food warm, but it's also incredibly easy to clean. Plus, the separate power cord and hidden power plug make it safe and convenient to use.
However, I'll be honest and say that the heating time could be quicker. It usually takes around 30 to 40 minutes to heat up my meal, which can be a bit long if you're in a hurry. Also, it's not recommended for use in the microwave, which might be a downside for some.
In conclusion, this Electric Lunch Box has been a game-changer for me. It's made eating a warm, balanced meal on-the-go incredibly easy, and its unique features make it a must-have for anyone with a busy lifestyle.

To make the most out of your car food warmer, remember to preheat it before placing your meal inside. This will help maintain even temperature and prevent overheating. Another tip is to avoid filling the warmer with excessively wet or greasy foods, as this could cause issues with the heating element or create a mess while driving. Lastly, always allow your warmed-up food to cool down briefly before eatings – hot foods can be difficult to consume safely while on the go, so give yourself enough time to protect yourself from potential burns.

What is a car food warmer?

A car food warmer is a device designed to heat up food while you're on the go. It plugs into your vehicle's 12V socket and uses thermal heating to maintain an ideal temperature for your meal. This allows you to enjoy hot, freshly-prepared dishes while driving, commuting, or during long road trips.

Car food warmers work by heating the interior of the warming container, which in turn heats up the food inside. The device usually includes a power cord that plugs into your vehicle's 12V socket, providing battery power to generate heat. Some models may also have temperature control features, allowing you to set the desired warmth level for your food.

What types of foods can be warmed up with a car food warmer?

How long does it take for a car food warmer to heat up food?

The time it takes for a car food warmer to heat up your meal depends on the specific device and the nature of the food. Generally, you can expect it to take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes for your food to reach a warm temperature. Some models may offer faster heating times, but this will vary by product.

Can a car food warmer be used to cook food?

No, a car food warmer is not designed for cooking food. Its primary purpose is to maintain a warm temperature for pre-cooked dishes or reheat meals that have already been prepared. For cooking, you'll need an appliance specifically designed for that purpose, such as a microwave or stovetop.

How do I choose the best car food warmer?

  1. Consider the size and capacity of the warming container. Choose one that can accommodate the types of meals you typically prepare.
  2. Look for a model with adjustable temperature settings if you want more control over the heating process.
  3. Choose a reliable and well-built car food warmer from a reputable brand to ensure durability and safety while using in your vehicle.

Trying this again because I keep getting anxious about it. Anyways, Hi! 😊 I'm a giant nerd with a bunch of of hobbies (cartoons, sci-fi, retro gaming, cars, motorcycles, model building, 3d printing, baking, etc), and always looking for new anime recommendations. I've been on HRT for a year and 10 months now, I live in the western part of the state and looking for people nearby or at least within a couple hours (just not looking for a long distance thing right now, I'd like to be able to meet for in-person dates).
As far as physical compatibility goes, I'm 5'7 and curvy. The best way to describe myself is demisexual Bambi lesbian. I prefer forms of physical intimacy like hugging, kissing, cuddling, snuggling, spooning, etc over sex. I can do sex, but I need a strong emotional connection first before I'm comfortable with or interested in doing that, so it's going to take time to get there, and even then I don't particularly want it or need it much (I go from sex-repulsed to sex indifferent). I like the intimacy of it more than the physical sensations, if that makes sense. My idea of a romantic evening is snuggling up on the couch and watching studio Ghibli movies🥰 That all said I tend to be more of a bottom or a stone femme, I just don't like being touched sexually.
As far as hard boundaries: I don't do drink or do drugs, I don't mind if you do either but if you're a heavy user of either (especially hard drugs) I'm probably not a good match. Also I'm strictly monogamous and will not get involved with anyone that's poly, I've had really bad experiences in this regard and this isn't negotiable.

2024.05.19 02:30 snailm0ther How old were you when you found out you had synesthesia and how did it happen?

I was 19 and told my ex that I didn't like the sound of metal clattering like silverware in a drawer because it would fill my mouth with the taste of metal to the point it felt like I was being force fed a giant spoon. He seemed both concerned and confused as to what I was talking about, which sent me on a frenzied Google search worrying that I'd been crazier than I thought my whole life,, to this day I'm in absolute disbelief that ALL people don't taste/smell (often arbitrary) stuff when they hear certain words or phrases????

Cat will not stop splashing water
My cat is driving me crazy. He splashes out any water I give him all over the floor! I have tried 3 different fountains, ceramic bowls, gravity feeders, metal bowls, and everything else under the sun. Today I tried to set up the gravity water tank since I’ll be going out of town and have a friend stopping by to check on him. He made a giant mess on the floor so I put it in the sink while I cleaned and he started going at it again! He will aggressively paw the water and the headbutt the bowl until he knocks it down, and only THEN he will drink. I don’t know what else to do, I have wood floors that can’t be constantly saturated with water! I tried moving the water into the bathroom and I slipped on it and almost broke my neck. I’m so frustrated! Does anyone else have this problem??

2024.05.19 00:11 DDThrowawayName Best way to teach imitation?

What the title says. She is in preschool, speech, and is in the process of finding a new OT. I spend most of the day/night with her during the week. My husband and I tag team weekends.
I have a non-speaking 3yo. She doesn't imitate gestures, expressions, actions, or vocalizations. Not what she sees in person or on TV. Shes never tried to dance or clap or make an animal sound or throw a ball or blow a bubble etc. She won't use a spoon or fork. She's doesn't appear to understand verbal instructions either. I'm not clear that she understands 'no' so much as she is afraid of a loud voice.
There have been a few glimmers of hope. I do remember 3 or 4 times that she's pointed at something. I think she waved 'bye' once? And she tried to run a brush through her hair once. Put a spoon to her mouth a few times. I get excited; the breakthrough action never happens again.
She will half heartedly use art supplies to make a sloppy line, but more just wants to taste them.
She mostly does exactly what she wants. Racing up and down the hall, sorting stickers, lining up Little People, climbing, or emptying drawers and shelves.
Is this something any of you with preschoolers/older kids struggle with, too?

2024.05.18 23:00 AutoModerator What is #VALZUBIRIAGENDA and some ideas and insights

The 3 basic parameters of hashtag #Valzubiriagenda:

  1. We artists and everyone else can write and self-publish art- and artist-related books: memoirs, biographies, art books and art catalogs. Books are forever. Pamphlets and brochures are not books.
  2. We announce a schedule of increasing prices of our art pieces, which includes quantities (scarcity numbers) per price point and overall (the total quantity of art pieces we might ever make). This helps art traders, art investors and art collectors speculate or even stop speculating and instead join a community of investors working together to hopefully skyrocket to the higher announced prices in a shorter span of time.
  3. We can use the NFT world, because NFTs provide the tracking (who owns what) and trading.
We can also not be involved with NFTs. Stores and individuals can help sell art using online presence and our catalogs in the stores. If this trends, or once this trends, even expensive art can be sold by neighboring businesses, without exclusivity. Commission systems do not have to be standardized. Art investors can produce their own catalogs to leave at the cafés. Even the cafés can produce their own catalogs.
Valzubiriagenda NFTs
NFTs only came about a few years ago. But I had been working on this since the 1990s. I wrote a book, Valzubiriagenda, along with fellow artist Silverio Perez, and released it in 2018 (Amazon and elsewhere), tackling everything related to #1 & #2. We'll come up with #3 in a later book/ memoi marketing book.
Any artist, including tangible artists can release 10,000 NFTs if the artist chooses to do so. For tangible artists, the NFT first becomes an Art Commission Contract for sight unseen, yet-to-be made art. Once the art is made, the NFT becomes proof of ownership that the actual, tangible art is theirs.
Warehousing our tangible art
Another related idea is that the tangible art may be warehoused by the artist so that the NFT traders continue to trade. This means that even 10-ton 10-foot tall sculptures can be owned and traded by anyone without worrying about shipping, reshipping, scratches, smudges, parts breaking off, etc. The newness of the pieces remain because they are stored by the artist, source, gallery, etc. The art piece gets shipped to the art collector, the ultimate owner.
An artist who makes ceramic coffee mugs - smaller art pieces, can release 10,000 NFTs with a schedule of increasing prices so that NFT traders can trade immediately. The 10,000 coffee mugs can get damaged, so as they are made, they continue to be stored by the artist, until the time when art collectors decide to have the art pieces shipped to them.
Why only now?
I decided to write as many book-length memoirs as I can before I came out to promote this.
I'm an artist and an author. Both need time to "master." I would not even fully use "master" on myself, because there's always something new, even to my own art, my own writing and publishing.
I am now claiming that I'm the visual artist who has produced the most artist memoirs in the world. I have 5 on Amazon. I count Valzubiriagenda as both a marketing book and a memoir-of-sorts, because it has a lot of my own life lessons on writing and publishing. I would not care to contest my claim of having the most memoirs. I will release 5 more over the next 3 years.
BARTER! Get help to write, photograph art and publish your books!
Anyone can hire 11 ghostwriters for 11 memoirs. If you can make art, but you cannot write, then barter your forever art with those who can help you produce forever books.
I don't feel the pressure of writing and publishing because I feel my focus should be on art students and art experts who would study my art and my books 100 years from now. Don't expect relatives and friends to read your books.
I call myself the Dollman
For my NFTs, I am proposing to make dioramas - my original, costumed, bejeweled porcelain dolls in backdrops that will also have precious metals and gemstones. This way I can incorporate precious metals and gemstones in my work, to make sure that people perceive my art as expensive, just in case I myself don't become "famous" - there's no need to get world famous. We are artists and all we need to do is to satisfy the art niche.
Use your laptop now!
I will encourage you to start writing your book-length memoir. Write, Edit and then Self-publish it. Get help. Why wait a hundred years for someone to write about you when all you need is a laptop and a nearby coffee shop.
Don't start counting chickens before the eggs hatch. I have encountered a lot of would-be writers who immediately see themselves as bestselling. world famous assets to society. Two even wanted me to sign NDAs (Nondisclosure agreements), because they did not want me to steal their book ideas.
Here's a suggestion. I would not personally do it. From one manuscript can come 2 books: The Original Draft (unedited, with misspellings, considered to be an art piece, scanned pages(?) of your handwritten original effort), and The Final Edition (edited).
PROVENANCE!
Another way to enhance our investability, tradability and collectability is PROVENANCE - how art ownership proceeds through time. The way this can be done is also through publishing books. Everyone can write their memoirs, biographies, art books and art catalogs, including traders, investors and art collectors. In effect, we artists can continue to be included or mentioned in even more books, without any additional effort by us.
You as an investor, reseller, trader, art collector should be able to publish a catalog with 250 works by 250 different artists, but they need to agree to this right from the start - it's your money, you should require them to follow your version of the hashtag #valzubiriagenda parameters, which preferably should include permission for you to publish their art. Why would you track down 250 artists later?
No exclusive contracts
If you're a café, you can call for artists, and come up with a book with for example, 30 artists, with a chapter devoted to each artist's profile and images of the artist's art.
You can distribute your catalogs to businesses and individuals near and far and online.
The book Valzubiriagenda even cites that funeral homes and janitors closets can sell art, with or without exclusivity. Airline catalogs can include million dollar art pieces. Car manufacturers, showrooms and even car repair shops can sell art as well. Everyone should be able to do this, anywhere in the world, especially not just because of the pandemic, but right now, we are in really bad economies.
What's with the name #Valzubiriagenda
I was into conspiracy theories in 2018, and this term, "The Mandela Effect," was popular. I had read many times that an artist coined the term, but I had to research online, for her name, many times, before remembering it. I'm not good at remembering names. It took me a year and a half to finally tell you that Fiona Broome coined "The Mandela Effect."
I also thought I might have to research trademarks and copyrights just to come up with a generic name. So I decided on "Valzubiriagenda." I was not really sure at first, but I decided to use it as the title for my book (with co-authoartist Silverio Perez) so that there would be no turning back and I can move on.
Am I a FUTURIST?
Someone I recently met this May 2022 just called me a futurist.
In the 1990s, I proposed to a pension fund that they can raise billions of dollars, especially for emergencies, or as needed, or out of desperation, if the pension fund purchases a quantity of art from an artist who not only has a current, reasonable price, but an announced future price that the artist wants to reach.
That future price would obviously be higher than the current price. The art commission contract for multiple art pieces can be taken to the fund's financial lender for a loan. The higher future price can be used for financing purposes.
The pension fund's treasurer, a publicly elected official, said this idea might work, but we had to keep this a secret and discuss this some more, because other pension funds might copy and do this prematurely. This idea had to come from the two of us. The treasurer needed his votes and I needed credentials.
Added into the pot was my idea that I, as the artist, will also write one book-length artist memoir. This was and still is a strong factor, because the leadership and marketing books I had read then mentioned a strong tip. If you want to advance in your field, write a full-length book that is related to the field.
Unfortunately, the elected official, the treasurer of the pension fund, who was also a friend, passed away - he was old and had ailments. At that point in time, I cannot just approach another pension fund treasurer to share this idea with.
I realized I had to write a few memoirs. I needed to set an example for other artists, so I needed to write more than one memoir. Then I felt I should also make ready another book - the how-to of what I'm up to. I wrote Valzubiriagenda, which was a memoir of sorts. I knew how long it would take me to write a book, so I had to make sure I can also consider this book a memoir.
In 2008, I imagined that someone like Bernie Madoff, or a fund like Lehman Brothers, would be desperate enough to use this to save themselves and their companies. I was not ready. I had only written 1 manuscript for a memoir.
In 2012, I released Dollman the Musical, A Memoir of an Artist as a Dollmaker. Once again, I was not ready because writing it depressed me a little, and I knew I had to write more.
In 2014, I released 3 memoirs, and re-released Dollman the Musical. Besides releasing regular books, I released special editions of the 4 books, which had a "Special Secret Insert for Bankers," which explains my ideas of an announced schedule of exponentially increasing prices, to satisfy investors, and the publication of artist memoirs, to satisfy art collectors.
In 2014, I also issued out a press release. Google "Can Billion Dollar Artist Save Investors and World Economy Valentino Zubiri PRWeb August 19 2014" and you will see the press release.
What I did was stake a claim on my ideas. I did not promote my books and the press release. I just wanted them to stay online, like a sleeping giant or a dormant volcano. I even designed 3 of the book covers to look like indie books from the 1980s. I was planting the seeds, thinking they will eventually grow and bear fruit in the future.
In 2015, I was interviewed by Richard Syrett, about one of my memoirs, Hocus Pocus Lately. This book is my memoir with paranormal stories. I could have pursued promoting my paranormal stories, but I wanted to be known first as a visual artist and memoirist, so I allowed myself one interview related to Hocus Pocus Lately. Richard Syrett has(had?) his own syndicated radio show, The Conspiracy Show with Richard Syrett, about the paranormal. He also guest hosts on Coast to Coast AM, another internationally syndicated show about the paranormal.
In 2018, I released Valzubiriagenda (co-authored by artist Silverio Perez, a fellow artist). Finally, this book is "the how-to of what I'm to."
I'm going to end this with some strangeness. In 1986, a lady at a religious gathering went into a trance and left a good number of messages. Supposedly, anyone who got into a trance would have messages, but once the trance was over, the person would not remember what was said.
I was not part of the group, but the lady turned her head to face me. She "foretold" that whatever I would decide to do in the future, it will take time, but it will be the right thing. This is one of my stories in one of my memoirs, Hocus Pocus Lately.
The Tulipmania of 1634-37
I discovered that there was this incident of rare tulips becoming collectible during the Dutch Golden Age. There were tulips so rare and so well-desired that their prices equaled to that of a house. You can read more about this online (Wikipedia) or watch a few YouTube videos about it.
Here is the most useful idea that I gleaned from the Tulipmania. The tulip bulbs remained safe inside nurseries. The traders were carrying the deeds of ownership to the tulip bulbs.
Then NFTs came to the forefront
I started learning PHP, an HTML scripting language, and MySQL, the database that PHP can connect to in the background, in 1999, when there were only 3 books about PHP and MySQL at the bookstores.
By 2014, I was trying to figure out how to make the "ledger," or database that can be used to update ownership and who can be contacted. If we are trading art, then the art ownership should be updated.
Then NFTs came about. This can be used as our ledger. Everyone can immediately trade NFTs of future, yet-to-be made art pieces, especially because it takes time to make tangible art.
NFTs actually went a step ahead, by allowing digital art to be traded.
The only setback with NFTs, in my opinion, is that it still lacks a commission system for resellers and representatives.
For example, if a café wants to represent me, then they can promote me at their café and on their online pages. If I make one piece of art that will be exclusively represented by a gallery, then that commission will be different and more specific. As ownership is transferred, the subsequent owners should be able to reset the commission. We should also have the option of giving commissions to hundreds of representatives at one time with different percentages if need be.
The recent crypto crash
Lately, we have observed that NFTs and cryptocurrencies have been behaving like the stock market and other markets. They have been fluctuating.
I believe that it is time for a trend which discourages fluctuation of prices.
I have also seen YouTube videos where social influencers are encouraging us to be on the lookout for exponentially profitable ventures, because we have all seen this happen with the exponential increase of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Let's see if #Valzubiriagenda trends
We can announce present and future art prices. The galleries won't do this (yet?) because they follow a more traditional approach to the business of art.
We have a choice of using incrementally or exponentially increasing prices. We still reserve the right to change things in the future, so everyone should know to follow the latest update.
If this trends, if you as an artist simply announces that you will write an artist memoir, or that you will include the future works in future art books, you might have more art traders, investors and collectors approaching you.
Get your pen, paper and calculator
Imagine yourself as an artist, where you are right now. Let's just say you still do not have a book about yourself and your art yet. Imagine now that you have a memoir out there. Don't you think it makes sense to charge more than what you are charging now? Writing and publishing books is just the beginning. I'm just standardizing this approach. The books also say to do other related projects. In my case, getting Dollman the Musical onstage is one idea. You will have other related projects, but the publication of memoirs, biographies, art books and art catalogs will help all of us.
You can also imagine that a law firm that has meeting rooms, with someone who wants to form a local #valzubiriagenda group, can have meetings. A local café can do the same. Local photographers for your art, writers, editors, book designers, proofreaders and others can join in.
I suggest have printed books to share. 15 copies of your memoir or art books will be better than an e-reader or laptop or your phone to show. These gadgets can be stolen, sabotaged, broken, have coffee spilled on them, etc. 15 printed books means simultaneously showing to 15 people. You can even give them away to potential resellers, investors, traders and collectors.
When it rains, it pours, as in the days of Noah
There's a saying, "When it rains, it pours." There is a negative interpretation and a positive interpretation.
Negative: When trouble comes, they cascade to even more.
Positive: When opportunity comes knocking, more follow suit. We can assume that if one gets our art because of #valzubiriagenda, more want to do it now, because of the rising prices, and FOMO - fear of missing out. What will they lose if they miss the boat?
As I have said earlier, if the #valzubiriagenda trends, if you announce a future memoir or art catalog, you might have an increase of investors, traders and art collectors who would want to check you out. You might encourage more sales. Just remember to write and publish that memoir and art catalog.
There's this saying, "As in the days of Noah." Imagine Noah, building his ark, with members of his own family, putting all his time and effort into it. Noah was a nice guy. I'm sure every once in a while a neighbor offered him coffee, or chai latte, or whatever refreshing drink they might have back then.
Here's the lesson to be learned. Just because they offered him some type of bubble tea drink, or coca cola, they still didn't make it to the ark. Rubbing shoulders with actors does not make you an actor. I have told my artist friends to write their memoirs. They told me that once they see me succeed, after all these many years of seeing my seemingly useless efforts, then they will write their memoirs and follow the road that I had paved for them.
Good luck to them, but if I were you, act now, get my art or make art. Support the 5-year old artist whose parent promised to release a comprehensive art catalog. If you get that 5-year old's art, and mine, I would be honored to be in the same art catalog that you will produce. I'm already successful at that point. You have gotten the mission just right.
I have already claimed to have written the most book-length artist memoirs in the world. Dethrone that claim. Barter. Use ghostwriters. Success to me means facing God one day and saying, I wrote my memoirs and left the world a legacy of books and art. I will not tell God, smiling and proudly, that I encouraged a run for my art by announcing a schedule of exponentially increasing prices that reached 9 figures. I'm sure God knows we had fun.

2024.05.18 20:30 Ultim8_Lifeform Featuring the Penguins of Madagascar! (Madagascar)

The Penguins of Madagascar

"Just smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave."

The Penguins of Madagascar are four ordinary penguins turned secret commando team. Born in the frozen wasteland that is Antarctica, Skipper, Kowalski, and Rico spent their childhood in boredom, waddling along the ice with seemingly no destination in mind. They were constantly told by the rest of their colony that it was a dangerous world for a penguin, and something so "cute and cuddly" shouldn't take any risks. One day, the group witnessed a lone egg rolling down the snow towards an icy cliff. When they realized no one was going to help it, the three baby penguins leapt into action. They rescued the egg from certain doom, but in the process were separated from the rest of their group, stuck on a lone iceberg and floating towards an unknown future. It was that moment that Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and the new hatching Private, became not only a team, but a family.
Fast forward a few years, and the Penguins of Madagascar have grown into a skilled group of elite commandos, partaking in various missions that have taken them all over the world, from New York to Madagascar to Africa to Europe. Over the course of their dangerous careers they have accumulated a wide variety of friends and allies. These range from the residents of the Central Park Zoo to the members of the spy agency North Wind. However they have also made no shortage of enemies, including Hans the Danish puffin, the Red Squirrel and the maniacal Dr. Blowhole.

Respect Threads

Skipper

"Cute and cuddly, boys. Cute and cuddly."
Skipper is the leader of the group, devising tactics and gives orders. He is calculating, strict, paranoid, short-tempered, stubborn, and has a great disdain for hippies. Skipper's raving paranoia and tendency to view even the most ordinary activities as a military operation, combined with his experience in covert ops, has driven him to prepare for nearly any situation, no matter how bizarre or unlikely. While his antics do tend to alienate other animals outside of his commando team, more often than not his paranoia is proven justified, as he and his team have saved the world on multiple occasions.

Kowalski

"Okay Kowalski, wow me."
"Behold, a portal to times past. The Chronotron!"
"So, its a time machine?"
"Well, yes."
"So why not call it a time machine?"
"Sure, yeah. And while we're at it, let's call the Great Wall a fence, the Mona Lisa a doodle, and Albert Einstein Mr. Smarty Pants!"
Kowalski is the brains of the operation. He is a brilliant inventor, creating a multitude of different inventions and gadgets to help the penguins on their missions. If given enough time, there are few things that he couldn't invent. Unfortunately, most of the time his inventions cause serious trouble for the team, either falling into the wrong hands, turning against Kowalski, or just exploding. Not to mention, despite his intelligence, he cannot read (although he still carries around a clipboard to record drawings of their plans). He tends to over-analyze situations, trying to perfect every minute detail of a plan before he acts. This often causes the team more harm than if he would just act. That being said, he is still an invaluable member of the Penguins. Without him, they would simply be a couple of ordinary penguins that can do flips and karate chop people.

Rico

"B-but that shouldn't have worked! It breaks all known rules of science!"
"And that's why we call Rico a maverick. He makes his own rules."
[BLEH BL-BLAH BL-BLUH BLAH BLEH]
Rico is the group's weapons and explosives specialist who mainly communicates through grunts and squeals. With a stomach that defies reality, Rico swallows a plethora of useful tools and weapons and regurgitates them when needed, including ones that appear to be too large to have been swallowed in the first place. Rico has a few screws loose, so the other Penguins need to keep him on a tight leash lest he lose his mind in a dynamite filled frenzy. That said, Rico's love for explosions and destruction is an asset that Skipper has no problem letting lose on their enemies or any problem that the team may be facing.

Swallowing/Regurgitation
Rico is able to regurgitate whatever Skipper needs as long as he has it locked away in his intestines. As soon as an object, weapon, or tool is needed he can produce it almost instantly.

Private

"Private, options."
"Hello? I'm the options guy!"
"But not when it comes to matters of the heart. That's where young Private here shines."
Private is the emotionally sensitive, British-accented rookie of the Penguins of Madagascar. Though younger and less experienced than the other penguins, he is the most down to earth and compassionate. Private tends to offer simpler, more commonsense solutions in response to Skipper and Kowalski's complex strategies, often in an understated tone while those strategies are falling apart. He also has an affinity for unicorns.

Using the Penguins on WWW

While it may vary from episode to episode, the penguins are all around the same ballpark in stats and skill. They're pretty well rounded, being able to withstand blows that damage stone and metal walls and can dish out those same kinds of hits. On top of that, most have dealt with minor esoteric damage types like heat, electricity, and cold. While they're not too crazy speed wise, they're all capable of aim dodging lasers and can avoid slower projectiles like darts. Combine that with their absurd agility and small size and these four will be extremely difficult to hit for opponents that are on their physical level.
However, it's the areas outside of physical stats that let the penguins fight above their weight class. They're all capable in close quarters combat, with Skipper being the clear standout (though Rico and Private have both shown to be able to hold their own against him under the right conditions). Rico is a walking armory that will give them access to any weapon in their arsenal at any time, Kowalski has plenty of inventions that most opponents won't have resistances too, and Private's hyper cuteness could certainly catch their opponents off guard.
The best way to beat these four is to split them up and fight them individually. They've shown many times that they are far greater than the sum of their parts, engaging in hit and run tactics or using one of their various haxes to battle opponents above their weight class. Kowalski and Private in particular are vulnerable to losing their composures if things aren't going their way in a fight (though I wouldn't exactly call that a strength for Skipper and Rico either).

2024.05.18 19:42 goobyCon PvP is hard to engage in. Plus I feel old since I been on since launch day.

I like killing, I like looting. It takes along time to destroy someone's base! Sometimes I have to run around attacking anyone just to get a reaction. Bring back Nuclear winter! I remember when the wayward was under construction. And on top of that I gosh darn miss the wild wasteland days. Where everyone was just out to get your paper bag of junk. now all I do is share my chems and run around picking up spoons and forks for a few hours. Drop some items in a few donation boxes and talk to my cousins om the game. I end up at nuka world taking some Daddy-O and playing cowboy.
