In 1979 a Puerto Rican man would observe an abduction event while simultaneously being mocked by one shark-toothed grey alien
The following account comes from the magazine Evidencia OVNI (No.1) by way of Puerto Rican ufologist Jorge Martin, and was later translated and published in the 1997 V42N4 issue of Flying Saucer Review. The text below is the back and forth interview conducted and translated as it appears in the FSR edition. Note: The comments 'G.C.' within this post refer to FSR editor Gordon Creighton.
We learned recently from a Sr. Luis T., Rodriguez of Sabana Grande that, according to an informant known to him, this informant had witnessed the kidnapping of a man near Tallaboa, between the towns of Ponce and Peñuelas, in the southern part of the Island of Puerto Rico.
This informant, named Héctor Maldonado, a resident of Ponce, was a night-time employee of a local firm. After very great difficulty, due to his pronounced evasiveness, I did finally manage to contact this man Maldonado (aged 39, resident on Calle Isabel, Ponce), and gradually extract from him the details of his story and get him to take me to the spot where it had happened. It had been at about 9.00 o'clock one morning in November 1979, and he was out jogging near the saltings and mangrove thickets of Ponce Salt, near Tallaboa, and right by the sea, on the southern coast of Puerto Rico Island.
He said: "I chanced to turn round suddenly, and there were five or six strange beings there, between 5 ft and 6ft tall, thin, with bald, biggish heads, big almond-shaped glowing eyes - just as though lit up with bright lights - not in the slightest bit normal! It was broad daylight, so it was not a case of some sort of light reflected in their eyes in the way it is at night with animal eyes. That light came from inside their eyes!" (He does not give the actual colour -G.C.)
"They had thin necks and long arms, and long hands and fingers. I didn't note how many fingers - I was too shaken to notice it. The strangest thing was that their skin was a greyish-blue colour. I couldn't see any clothing on them - unless that greyish-blue stuff was itself something that covered their entire body, but to me they looked naked. I spotted no sign of any genitals at any time, though to be honest I didn't fix my attention specially on that.“
"The astonishing thing was that they had got hold of a man and were taking him off. He was a human, olive-skinned, about 5ft 9 in height, with lank black hair, and apparently unconscious. He looked as if he were petrified, with his eyes closed, and they had got hold of him by the armpits. They appeared to be very strong, because two of them were lifting him off the ground with ease. He wasn't even dragging his feet; I didn't get a clear view of his face, because I could only see him from the side. "Behind the beings, above the sea, a bit beyond the mangroves, there was a machine hanging stationary in the air. It looked more or less oval in shape, with a cupola on top, and its sides sort of fluted or grooved, and on the top it had a narrow, curved, projection with lots of lights - just like a garland of lights that you see at Christmas time. The thing was of a silvery metallic colour, and big - really big. And just hanging there in the air, not making a sound."
"Suddenly one of them, who had been kneeling and seemed to be looking at something on the ground, got up and signed to me, and then I felt something as if it were inside my mind, like a voice, - but a bit strange - different from that - coming seemingly from that being. And I heard him say jestingly to the others: 'LOOK AT THAT ONE - HOW HE'S RUNNING'." (The eyewitness had in fact not stopped jogging).
"AND THEN THE BEING HIMSELF STARTED RUNNING, AND MAKING FUN OF ME. Then I got the impression that he said: 'Now - just look how I run,' and he started moving at a quite fantastic speed. Then he halted beside the others, and in my mind I heard him say to them 'WE'LL TAKE HIM TOO. The others replied something like: 'Not him - leave him alone'. ... Something like that. When he was mocking me he had got great big teeth - and pointed ones — like a shark's teeth.” (See the sketch based on the eyewitness's description).

"Next", he said, "That one that had laughed at me and wanted to take me, gestured towards me with his hand and threw something like a great big drop of some sort of cold liquid, which hit me on the chest. Where that had hit me, I at once began to feel very queer - as though my body was swelling up and I was feeling stiff. Like a sort of cramp. But I was so scared that I forced myself to keep on running. And, as I went on, that queer feeling began to lessen, and so I was able to go on.”
"And when I did look back, I saw that they were taking the man towards that craft. I just carried on running, and didn't want to look back, and when I did finally look back next, the craft, and they and the man were all gone. And I just carried on running until I'd got right away from there. "I was terrified. And I didn't tell a soul about it. I was so scared, and felt sure that nobody would believe me. Who was going to believe a story like that? They'd say I was mad, and I wasn't going to expose myself to that, No Señor!"
We asked Maldonado to give us more details of the man they were carrying off.
He said: "Well, he was olive-skinned, with black hair. I don't think he would have been more than about 30. Slim. He was wearing a two-piece suit, with a check pattern, and of a creamy sort of shade. But I didn't get a clear view of his face because - as I've told you - he was sideways on to me all the time. And yes - the man was unconscious or dead. I imagine unconscious".
We asked: "Didn't you notify the Police about what you had seen?"
"No", he replied. "As I've already told you, I was very scared. I didn't think they would believe me. For a long time I have felt bad about what might have happened to that chap that they were taking, because I've no doubt whatsoever that they were indeed taking him. But my fear was too great, and I did nothing. For a long time I carried in my mind the scene of what happened. I couldn't stop thinking about it. But bit by bit I got control of myself and was able to bear it".
I asked: "Did you continue to go jogging at that place?"
He replied: "For a long time I didn't go back there, but after three years, when I was feeling calmer, I did go back there. "One day, I was running there again, on that same sector, and I fell down suddenly, because there was a change of level in the soil there. And when I looked to see the cause, I perceived that the soil there had sunk, forming a perfect circle about 100ft. in diameter. It looked just as though something large and heavy had rested there. I was astonished to see that, but I also noticed that over on the further edge of the circle some individuals with a red minibus belonging to the Civil Defence Dept. were checking the circle. That was around 1982 or May 1983. It's near the place on the salt-flats where they spread out the shrimps in the sun.”
"After that, I lingered there for a while, and talked to those people, and to others, all of whom had seen UFOs thereabouts. "Furthermore, when I read of other things that you had investigated and that you had published previously in the review ENIGMA, showing more or less similar beings that have been seen in the Island and in other places, by other people, then I realized that I wasn't the only one to have seen them.”
"It's true, and for some reason the Governments hide it and cover it up. But as I see it, there's far too much going on, and in the end they are going to have to give some sort of explanation and say what it is that is going on."

2024.05.19 16:46 Atomatic13 Here's a guide to beat "evacuate high value assets" on helldive difficulty

This mission is my favorite type. I hear a lot of people complain that it is too hard, but I believe its actually one of the easiest when you have the right strategy. Using this method you can pretty consistantly beat 9s assuming none of the bugs/glitches happen to you.

THE LOADOUT

All players should choose this loadout
-Armor: since there will be little movement in this mission, and a whole lot of explosions, I reccomend bringing either heavy armor, or "Democracy Protects" armor.
-Primary: for Terminids, I would reccomend the Breaker Incendiary, or the Scythe if you don't have it. For Automatons, use the Scorcher, or the Scythe if you don't have that.
-Support: for Terminids you will want to bring EATs and/or the Recoilless Rifle since bile titans can only be killed with Anti-tank. For Automatons you will want to bring the Laser Cannon, the Autocannon, or the Anti-Material Rifle. Personally I would reccomend the Laser Cannon since it shreds Hulks and Striders to pieces, and does do damage against tanks too.
-Strategems: for both factions, you want to bring both the regular mortar and the EMS mortar. This leaves 1 slot left for an "extra" strategem. Fill this with: EAT (automatons), Orbital Laser, either rocket or autocannon sentries, Eagle 500kg, or 120 Barrage. DO NOT EVER BRING THE 380 BARRAGE TO THIS MISSION.
A good combo for Terminids worth noting, however, is to bring the QuasaRR AND EATs. Shoot once with the former and spam the latter to kill.
From my experience, it may be helpful to have one player bring majority red strategems to deal with heavies that get too far.

SETUP AND STRATEGY

From the moment the game starts, you want to be calling down as many EATs as you can in a location close to or in front of the first door (closest to the generator). Closing the doors on this mission on level 9 does little to no good, and only prevents you from shooting back. Always place your mortars behind a wall where the enemy cannot get to them easilly. If you brought AC/rocket sentries, place them close to the 1st doogenerator so they can kill Bile Titans/Striders just in case they get too far. On the "spiral" map, my favorite area to place them is behind the L shaped wall by the landing pad. When the mission starts, your mortars should be killing all the "fodder" enemies like Devastators and Raiders. You can help this out by shooting explosives (Autocannon, Scorcher) into the dropships before they drop the enemies. You want to stay close to the first door in order to give heavies time to walk, since it takes a while for you to kill them (Bile Titans are FAST). You want to be placing your full attention on heavies whenever they spawn. If you brought EATs for Automatons, use them first to destroy the big cannon on top (it can snipe the generators on the spiral map) then destroy the machine guns using your Laser Cannon, rendering it harmless. Use the laser to focus on the eye slit to kill it. When facing Terminids, ALWAYS shoot bile titans in the head.

BUGS/GLITCHES

Unfortunately while this is the most fun mission type, its also the most broken. Some notable bugs to look out for is:
-On the "Spiral" map, dropships/bug breaches can sometimes spawn on the landing pad, giving them a straight shot to the generators
-Factory Striders on the "Spiral" map can snipe the generator off spawn and can also snipe the generators through the open section of the wall. This is why you always prioritize destroying thier cannon first.
-If players join or leave during the mission, there is a chance progress will freeze and you will he softlocked.
I hope this guide has been helpful! This is my favorite mission type because it feels like a "tower defense" corridor mission. I really hope Arrowhead will add more of these types of missions in the future, as it perfectly encapsulates the feeling of "defending" a planet.

I'm really liking this shape but I'm clueless on ideal specifications to get the best light performance. I've read a few sites that recommends to stay away "crown angles that are too shallow (<32.5) or too steep (>36.5) which can negatively affect a diamond by decreasing its fire or brilliance". I'm not sure it applies to every single shape or how it corelate to other measurements ( crown height, pavillon ect)? Let me know what you think.

2024.05.19 15:02 Mobile_Effective_819 I feel like my fiance doesn’t want me

Well, I guess I should start by saying today is our 2 year anniversary. I’m a stay at home mom with limited personal income so gifting looks slightly different these days. Nonetheless I made him some chocolate covered strawberries, took care of our dinner and order him a cake in the shape of a 2, a romantic playlist with songs that made me think of him and a home made charcuterie board ECT. He works 9-5 the actual anniversary date so we agreed to celebrate Friday night and Saturday since Saturday was his day off. Saturday morning (yesterday) he spent a good bit of the day playing his PlayStation which usually isn’t a problem for me, but our anniversary weekend I anticipated us getting our children settled (with my mom) and to have his full attention. Friday night was the same story, on the game with his friends until around 11 pm so I’m a little tired by this point. I still try to stay awake and make the most of it, no big deal but then flash forward to Saturday evening after the day was pretty much finished, my mom calls and asks if we still planned on leaving the house and if she needed to come up and watch the kids, so i look to my boyfriend (who can hear my mom talking) and ask if he still wanted to go somewhere and he shrugged his shoulders. My mom said “just talk about it and give me a call back when you decide “ so we talk about it and finally decided we can do find something to do “he said he doesn’t need to plan anything” so we were going to go figure out something to do for our anniversary. I call her back and we decided that around 6:30 pm we could manage to be dressed and ready to go. He gets in the shower while I get the gets ready (we decided to bring them to my parents house instead of my mom coming to ours) I walk into the bathroom to tell my fiance I was excited and of course to join him in the shower but when I came in the bathroom he acted suspicious and turned around. I noticed he was slightly hard but I didn’t pay it much attention since he covered it with his hand but then I look up and see his phone playing a video. So I drawback because I was home, I was available but yet you chose yourself over me? I just honestly feel like this weekend wasn’t important to him like it was to me. I felt like we were growing and moving past some pain from the past and finally getting to an us again but I feel like he doesn’t want me. I ask for sex often and he’s not all that interested. (I’m 5 months PP) and it feels like he hasn’t been attracted to me since I’ve had the baby. I haven’t been angry towards him cause it’s not like he cheated but my heart hurts. Honestly and I just feel unwanted, undesired and lonely.

2024.05.19 14:49 dblyuiiess Help

Help
Hi all.
So, I’ve been working at a very specific/nonsensical donut shop for the last 2.5 years (and now own the place). I created the donut recipe that I use as well as all the glazes/flavors/toppings. I use a roux in the recipe bc of early feedback from people that wanted them to stay fresh longer (and since we are frying the donuts to order, it greatly expands my proofing window). We divert from being a regular donut shop bc we fry the donuts to order. This aspect has made us popular enough to still be open and doing business, however I am being driven to the edges of my sanity with quality control issues. Mostly, size and shape. To save my life, I cannot get even half of my donuts to turn out as circles. So many of them, from day one, distort and become elongated. Sometimes the effect is minimal, other times it’s just too aberrant and I don’t serve them.
Details about the recipe- Flour- all purpose Hydration (as water)- 75% Roux- 4.5% Fat- 9% Sugar- 13% Applesauce (in place of egg)- 9% Salt- 2% Yeast- 1%
The dough is mixed to slack then goes in the fridge overnight. The next morning it is folded, rolled, and cut by hand. I use a pretty standard 3.5 cutter. I have tried the punching method, I have tried firmly pressing to cut, I have tried cutting and turning the cutter a few degrees. All result in the exact same misshapen donuts by the time they are proofed.
Any ideas? I’m legit desperate to not serve ugly donuts. And please don’t try to talk me down on them being “not that ugly.” This is capitalism and unfortunately good enough just isn’t good enough.

2024.05.19 14:32 Bagzbannco Need Advice on situation regarding warranty repair.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to hear the unbiased opinion of people that know a thing or two about guitars because in this situation I don’t know if I am in the right or not.
I don’t think I will be able to be concise, no TLDR because the details matter, sorry.
Here’s the deal:
Bought a 7 string in February (ESP LTD H3 1007 baritone, €1200).
At first I didn’t have access to my recording equipment and only played it either acoustically or with an old Zoom pedalboard and headphones. Everything seemed fine but didn’t spend much time with it. Action was too high and lowering it introduced too much fret buzz.
In the first days of March I finally had the chance to record with it and noticed heavy fret buzz in the output sound (even using a reasonable distortion created a mess, no crazy high-gain) and some choked notes higher on the fretboard. The action was noticeably higher than my other guitars. It was almost impossible for me to play cleanly.
(note that for some days I thought that I was the problem, since I haven’t been playing for a couple of months and that was my first 7 string)
Inspecting the guitar closely, I noticed that the nut was cut very high, partially explaining my inability to play cleanly. Plus I didn’t quite like the factory 10-59 string set that came with it: too little tension on the bottom strings and too much for the top ones (the high E broke the first few days with a simple full tone bending around the 15th fret, not the right gauge for a 27” scale length imo).
Nothing that a nice professional setup can’t fix, I thought.
(Unfortunately, not anticipating the issue that was about to arise, I didn’t save any recordings documenting the state of the guitar before going to the luthier. Lesson learnt)
So, I brought it to a luthier. We decided that it was best to approach the problem step by step, instead of doing everything at once.
1- First he would change the strings (I opted for a 9.5-64 set) and do a basic setup WITHOUT making changes to the nut, just in case I didn’t like the new set of strings. If the buzzing remains, then we go to the more expensive step 2.
2- Nut filing and fret height adjustment.
After step 1 everything was the same: very noticeable fret buzz and choked notes.
I decided to contact Thomann’s assistance before step 2.
Why? I realised that the root of the problem was more serious than I originally thought. The luthier told me that he couldn’t guarantee that the additional work would fix everything so he advised me to contact Thomann before spending €200 on fret leveling.
For a €1200 guitar you would expect that the fretwork would be good, am I wrong?
I explained the situation to the assistance team in detail with the original state of the guitar in mind, thus forgetting to mention the work done by the professional (I know, my bad. I specified it after their first response from them) and included a recording of the fret buzz (direct input from a Focusrite scarlett straight to pro tools, with and without distortion).
Upon hearing the recording (that was done after the luthier setup) they reached out to confirm that, indeed, the fret buzz was intrusive.
When they received the guitar (March 22nd and it's still with them to this day) they told me the following (translated in English by me):
“Our relevant department informed us that the string gauge was changed to 10-65/66 from 10-59 without doing a bridge setup*. This caused the neck to warp and damage to the nut slots. In this case there is no warranty coverage […]”*
I was very disappointed whit this response.
So having just the strings changed by a professional is enough to void the 2 year legal warranty?
I contacted a lawyer friend of mine to help me write a legally solid answer.
In short, we stated that the setup has been done by a professional, the (plastic) nut was left untouched and the truss rod and bridge were set properly; having done everything in good will and within what is considered standard maintenance, I claim to be entitled to have the guitar fixed under the 2 year Legal Warranty.
Eventually they sent some photos that only proved that the nut was damaged (I was very surprised to see it) but nothing to assess the neck warp. (I will include the photo in this post).
Although the nut slot on the 7th string was proven to be damaged, I claim that it is only a minor aesthetic issue because it does not interfere with its function. If the damage was significant enough it would lead to some buzzing on the open string, right? However, the open 7th string sounded clean even after the visit to the luthier. I also never claimed that I had problems with open string buzzing in my support request, only with fretted notes, and never asked for a nut repaisubstitution. Regarding the neck warp, isn't it completely reversibile ? Why is it mentioned as if it was a warranty-voiding condition? I would get it if it had been shaped into a noodle with a hammer, but when I had it in my hands it was almost straight.
I believe that the ideal way to fix the guitar is a PLEK setup to level the frets and adjust the action because everything suggests that the root of all these problems are the uneven frets. Unfortunately, in their last email they still maintain their first opinion (reported above in this post) and told me this:
“We can offer you a setup at your expense or we can send the guitar back. There is no way that you can get a free plek setup […]. We ask you to be concise and definitive in the next email. Further emails that do not offer a definitive answer will be ignored and the guitar will be sent back in the current conditions.”
Basically, they made it impossible for me to keep defending my case after only 2 emails of mine (one addressing their initial report and one after they disappointingly responded repeting the same things). It also feels like they didn’t even bother to fully read those emails since they never elaborated on my lawyer’s valid points.
I honestly don’t know what to do and feel hopeless.
I’d like to hear your opinions; I genuinely can’t tell if I messed up. I feel like I have done everything correctly, I doubt that the nut slot damage is the luthier’s fault. Here are a few questions for you now that you know the whole situation.
- Do you think I’m in the wrong?
- Do you think that a plastic nut can get damaged like that by the strings alone?
- Do you think that asking for a setup under warranty to fix bad fretwork for a €1200 guitar is arrogant and that uneven frets are to be expected ?
Thank you for your time and patience, sorry again for the lengthy post.

Nature of Humanity Ch 67 A NoP fic

A Fanfic of u/SpacePaladin15’s work “The Nature of Predators.” Thank you for the story!
___
Memory transcription subject: Silvera, Factory 13 Manager
Date [standardized human time]: November 4th, 2136
If it wasn't for the clearly artificial sky above my head someone could possibly convince me I was outside in a new park. The neon blue screen with a white dot to represent the sun was nothing like the actual pale gray visage a mile above. Yet, it did have an enjoyable warmth to it.
A smooth artificial wind swept through the saplings ensuring that they would develop healthy stress wood. It also pleasantly cooled the fur of anyone in here, providing a nice little respite from the heater simulating the sun's unbearable hatred of us. Fuck you fake sun!
Any flora used to decorate the park would be exotic to Frozen Mountain, even if it came from the nearby tundra, but my humans decided to do something interesting. While they had covered most of the ground with a soft short-growing Terran clover, they chose to make the rest of the decorative plants functional. All of the saplings were different types of fruit trees that, when mature, would be free for anyone to harvest as much as they want. Even the decorative topiary isn't hardy tasteless plants, but berry bushes that would provide a variety of sweet treats relatively soon.
Agurcorp was more than happy to allow its failed startup out here to be turned into a local park. Well, so long as they didn't have to pay for this expensive mistake of theirs. The Mayor was all too happy with this, especially since my humans were happy to let him have all the credit so long as they got to design the park. With voting season right around the corner, the Mayor that ‘Brought life to this blighted land’ was a shoo-in to get re-elected. Or would be if he also wasn't ‘The idiot who allowed predators into the city.’
With everything that's happened I am still a bit surprised at everyone currently enjoying the park. A small herd of Venlil are exercising in the open field. A family of Gojids are walking along the cobblestone path. All the while, some humans are playing a very weird game of throwing a round plastic plate into chain nets. It's almost as if this city didn't have two separate riots on the same day.
The sound of wheels traveling across a bumpy path caught my attention. I glanced across the way to see an embarrassed-looking John driving an electric wheelchair over to me. His eyes locked onto mine before quickly switching to the ground. He tried to laze in a chair designed to enforce good posture and looked rather silly as he adjusted himself.
He came to a stop just a foot away from where I sat, “Hey Silv… I, uh… I don't actually need the wheelchair but Mikvia threatened to break my legs if I didn't use it, so I'm just humoring her.”
Oh, don't freaking tell me. Why are humans like this… “John… you were hospitalized with a punctured lung. Sure, doctors have some miracles they can perform these days, but you know you shouldn't be stressing yourself by walking.”
He huffed, “Please, I'm fine. Really. It wasn't as serious as everyone is making it out to be.”
I thumped my hind paw against the ground, “John.”
He threw his hands into the air with a huff, “I'm in the damn wheelchair ain't I? Gawd…”
He grasped his nose before calming down, “I apologize. Shouldn't have raised my voice like that. I mean… I am using the wheelchair and not lifting stuff. Doctor's orders. They even said getting out in this park would be fine. Said it might even help!”
We let out a deep sigh together. I hopped down from my bench and back up onto his lap, “Let's go for a ride… while we figure… us out…”
I could see John's guard drop as the exhaustion crept back onto his face, “...alright...” He pressed his controls forward, and we slowly began our first lap of the park.
John wrapped one of his lanky ape arms around me like a fleshy seatbelt and I laid my head on his chest appreciating the contrast of his warmth with the cool artificial breeze. I could have slept like this. The beating of his heart was rhythmic, and his deep breaths sounded a bit like waves washing up on a shore.
I even heard his heart quicken as I cleared my throat, “So… we aren't really dating are we?”
His exhaustion was quickly replaced with unease as he started to fidget a little, “I'm sorry…”
I held his hand and stared into the ocean blue eyes of his, “Don't be sorry. I think we were both drunk when we agreed to go on a date…”
He shook his head, “I still should have said something before then.”
It wasn't like I couldn't have taken the initiative and talked to him sooner too, “I know you were going through a lot. Actually, I know you still are… I'm really only able to guess but… Are you one of the types that thinks Xeno-dating is weird?”
He looked ashamed as he scrambled to smooth things over, “I- No- well, yes- but- it's just… ok. Let me start over… alright… yeah… so… uhm… the thing is… how do I put this… it sounds bad… well, it is bad… it’s just…”
My tail wagged involuntarily at the rather cute display of embarrassment radiating from John. I leaned in and let him have a doey-eyed look to help heap the embarrassment on.
It felt like John tried to stop the next words from rolling out of his mouth, “Sometimes I have trouble thinking of you all as people.”
John came to a complete stop as I just stared at him wide-eyed. My brain struggled to grasp what he was saying and the implications of it. He cringed and covered his face with his hands, “Gawd, that sounds horrible. It's just… It's not as bad with you and the others… I talk to y’all a lot. It's easier for it to click that you are people too.”
I was desperately trying to see this from his angle, “Wha- why does this happen in the first place?”
His hands drug down his face trying to drag the flesh with it, “I think it’s cause you are always naked. Like your back brace helps a little bit, but still everything else is… That and I hear your voice and the chip in my head then gives it meaning. Like its disjointed. Then it's the way your body language works and- and- fuck. Just…. Fuck me man. I don't even think that's all that's wrong with me. It’s just… like you look, sound, and smell like animals. It's just not really what my mind had in place for aliens. So- like- ugh! Why can't I just explain it!?”
It's difficult to explain, but his words connected to a deep sad memory, “It's like everything is just too… slightly wrong…”
It felt like I had been whisked back decades to my own childhood. I could still smell the bleached halls of the Venlil orphanage on Nevis. My heart whimpered when the Sivkits who came to adopt me shuddered with fear and disgust. Their strange voices sounded slow as they spoke a strange version of Klipic. Like hearing a pale imitation of yourself, try and pretend to be just like you.
My eyes locked with his as I carried on “It’s like you look at them and a part of you knows what they are, but your brain just snaps back to… to what you think reality is.”
I could see a glimmer of hope well up with his tears, “Y-you know? I-Iv've felt like such a monster! How can I- How can I look them in the eyes when they took me in and say- say- that I can't see them as people sometimes!? After everything they've done for me?! They want to adopt me and I- I- I can't even!”
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he buried his face in mine. It felt like he could crush me with his arms, yet they held me gently. What was causing me pain was this damn back brace. The blasted thing was trying to force my arms down while it hunched me over. I wiggled out of John's embrace and ripped the freaking thing off and chucked it as far as I could before burying myself in his embrace again.
We held each other as he drew in shuddering breaths and let his emotions flow out. John’s grip eventually began to loosen and we both took a moment to calm down. I gently tugged at the shirt covering John's torso, “So… Us not wearing clothes constantly is… disconnecting for you?”
He nodded his head, “Y-yeah… It’s like… every person I have ever known wears clothes. Animals never wear clothes and at most wear like a collar or harness if someone owns them. Then a few months ago, a bunch of nudist aliens show up and… well, my brain lops them into the animal category and the translator isn't helping.”
I glanced down at my body and suddenly felt… exposed, “So now that I am no longer wearing clothes…”
He cringed, “You look more like a large rabbit thing than a person… when you had the brace on it helped a little, but you were on all fours… When you were wearing your weather suit and had your hood off, It felt like you were a person, just different.”
An idea crossed into my skull, “Ok then… so your brain attaches personhood with a level of nudity, body plan, and familiarity… take your shirt off and give it to me- Don't give me that look! I know you’re male and are far less sensitive about people seeing your nipples. So gimme.”
He begrudgingly took off his shirt, revealing a pelt of fur that caught me off guard. I shook off the confusion as I slipped his shirt overhead and stuck my arms through the sleeves. It immediately tried to slip down my body and off. Mostly due to how large the hole for his head is, but also due to my utter lack of true shoulders. Another gift of my freak mutation. The ability to walk upright as well as sprint on all fours like a fucking Arxur.
I bunched up the collar and knotted it on itself, solving the slipping issue. With a small twirl, I spun in a circle, “So how is this?”
A smile formed on his face, “You look adorable!”
I happily flicked my tail, “Is that girlfriend adorable or pet animal adorable?”
His grin beamed with happy, mischievous energy, “Little sister adorable.”
I stomped my hind paw again, “Wha- why?!”
He held out his arms and I hopped back into his embrace, “Its cause it's my shirt. Jamie would wear my clothes sometimes, and they were so baggy on him, and well… on you that's practically a sundress! … you’d look really nice in like… a yellow sundress with like a straw hat.”
My mind tried and failed to make an image to match his description, “Hrm… well… I wouldn't know where to even start getting a… sundress.”
John carried on like clothes shopping was a normal intergalactic thing, “You would have to go to a tailor and have it custom-made. Like you already had to adjust my shirt cause you don't have shoulders like we or the Gojids do.”
We sat in a comfortable silence as John started the wheelchair back on its path. I almost fell asleep in his arms before I asked, “So… Are we dating?”
John didn't hesitate to bend over and freaking bite the top of my head! I, rather fruitlessly, slapped my paws against his face as fast as I could and only managed to elicit a laugh from him. Jumping up, I got a mouth full of his cheek in my teeth.
I made sure not to crush as I mimicked what he had done to me back, “Ah! The turns! They've tabled! I'm sorry! We're dating! Augh!” I spit out the lump of flesh between my teeth and sat down rather proudly.
It was only then I looked around to see most of the nearby groups staring at us. As well as three silver suited flame whack jobs walking our way. One of them held up his paws to try and seem as big as possible, “YOU! PREDATORS! DON'T MOVE!”
John growled at them, “YOU FUCKING IDIOTS. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?”
The trio froze in their steps and reached for weapons they didn't have. The boldest one took another step forward and shouted, “SHUT UP PREDATOR!”
John held his issued jacket up, letting the reflective emblem of the guild shine for all to see, “I WORK WITH YOU NUMB NUTS! I'M JOHN! ADOPTED SON OF YOUR FUCKING CHIEF! RING ANY BELLS?”
The trio halted in their tracks and the most skittish of them turned a one-eighty on their paws and began to walk away. The boldest one’s paws slowly dropped, “J-John?! I- I've never seen you without the mask or artificial pelt… wait! You're supposed to be in the hospital!”
Johns voice grew cold, “They said I could go out around the park so long as I mostly stayed in the chair. If it pleases you, you can talk to Loke. He's right over there with his wife and two kids. I bet he'd be thrilled to learn you three are going around accusing people of being predators.”
The bold moron took a fearful half step back, “D-d-d-d-don't twist my words! You bit her and she bit you back! I have witnesses! That's predatory!”
John leaned back and stroked the fur on my cheek, “No, it’s erotic.”
I could see the gears turning in the bold one's head grind, “What.”
John pressed his lips into my neck, “Ya know… sexy. It’s like… gently grooming your significant other's neck from behind but more playful.”
They looked revolted, “That's disgusting.”
John cocked his head to the side like a confused Gojid, “That’s odd.”
The look of revulsion quickly transitioned back to confusion, “What?”
A smirk grew on John's face as his fingers massaged into the sore muscles on my back, “It's just, that’s exactly what your mom said last night, but she grew to like it.”
I slapped my paws to my mouth to avoid laughing as the rage flared up in the bold one's eyes, “WHAT!?”
I let out a happy purr as John began to work at my sore muscles and utterly humiliate the idiot bothering us, “Yeeeeah. You weren't supposed to find out like this, but I'm your dad now.”
Their ears pinned back in rage, “You're lying to me.”
John waved a hand at our surroundings, “We are in a hermetically sealed park. There is no way for any significantly threatening animal to get in here. You are only here looking for trouble and I assure you, this will be looked into. Go clean your nose and keep it clean. Understood?”
They both tucked their tails, “Understood, sir.”
John nodded his head and calmed his tone, “Dismissed.”
As the trio of troublemakers left, we sat in relative silence as John continued to work away at the stress in my muscles. If you proved this was how humans prepared their food before eating it, I would argue that it's still worth it.
His rough voice messaged my ears, “Hey Silv?”
I stretched and enjoyed the pops my spine made as it took its natural shape, “Hrm?”
A hint of curiosity hung in his voice, “Why did you understand what I meant? Shouldn't… You've lived with aliens being a part of everyday life for… Like… ever right?”
I slumped against John and thought. Dredging up old memories that I almost wished I didn't have, “It was… a very long time ago. My doctor told me I was making up false memories to cover up a traumatic event and make it to where I was normal and everyone around me were the weird ones…”
I could hear John doubt my doctor's claims, “That sounds… fishy.”
Despite John's odd word choice, the meaning still fit perfectly, “It feels like it, but I just have no proof. I swear to you, I remember running along a beach, with my parents on two legs. Every Sivkit I knew as a child walked on two legs. It’s like… well…”
I grabbed John's hand to stop it from distracting me, “One day I woke up, and I was unbelievably cold. I thought I was a corpse. There was this strange… tentacle thing with bulgy eyes standing above me. His words didn't match his lips, but I understood him. It was terrifying.”
“He scooped me up and started running. Said I was in grave danger, and he was going to keep me safe. I didn't trust him one bit. He jumped into some strange ship and told me I had to be very quiet. The bad people would attack us if they heard either of us talking.”
“Eventually, he crashed the ship into something and pulled me out of it. I was surprised to see we had been on a submarine that entire time. That and the sky was the wrong color. I didn't even have an opportunity to think about it as he carried me to a weird looking vehicle that once again surprised me as a giant wall turned into a window.”
“I had never even heard of spaceships before, and I watched as we went up and just moved into space like it was nothing. He tried to calm me down, but he told me my parents were dead. I- just remember sobbing in his tentacles for hours. Eventually, I calmed down enough for him to play with me.”
“For a few days it was just me and him. Then we met up with another ship, and he left that one to drift in the void. He said we were meeting his friend Aylin on Nevis… a Venlil colony not too far from here, actually. I got to meet more aliens on that ship but Kalova- sorry that was the name of the Kolshian who took me out here. Kalova didn't want me to talk about anything to anyone. Said to just say I was his adopted daughter, and he just got a job on Nevis managing the new colony.”
“He never saw it. I didn't know what they were at the time but the Arxur attacked. They were trying to raid the colony and the Gojids and Venlil where desperately trying to protect it. I remember the alarm going off the second the ship’s captain announced we were leaving FTL. Kalova sprinted through the ship carrying me. He placed me in an escape pod just before that terrible lizard spotted us. He pulled the lever and my pod jettisoned down to the surface.”
“I was in that pod for three days before the Venlil found me and put me in an orphanage. Every time I met other Sivkits… they made my skin crawl. There's something wrong with all of them. I swear to you, we Sivkits are supposed to walk on two legs. We also aren't supposed to be that… stupid. Between how they talk being just… off, and the fact what they said was often either retarded or downright wrong, I couldn't ever feel like one of the so-called Grand Herd.”
“Eventually, I aged out. Graduated college, top of my class. And started working out here when they began to rebuild my plant after it burned down. That’s all there… Well, there is more, but It's not actually relevant to your question.”
John leaned down and kissed the top of my head, “Thank you for sharing that with me.”
I groomed the tip of his nose in return, “You're welcome. … Hey John?”
I could see a small bit of… hope in the back of his eyes, “Yes Silv?”
“Can you tell me about your past?”
He frowned as memories came back to him, yet he smiled still. “Yeah… it’s not a happy story either.”
I pressed myself into him, “Well… we can both be sad together, at least.”
John's hands began to absentmindedly work through my fur again, “Yeah… That doesn't sound as bad.”

Important question, do you want a chapter dedicated to John retelling his story? Or would you like it smash cut out in favor of more of their first real date? I am not sure how I want to do it and am happy with both, so please let me know.
John and Silvera finally had the relationship talk! Woooooo! John's confessed something he'd rather never bring up, but knows he needs to address to start living a happy life with his new family. Aaaaand, It's time for Silvera’s tragic backstory! (Trademark pending). Strange names though, right? Kalova… weird how John's old boss has a missing brother with the same name as an alien Ivan the Arxur knows! And Aylin… strange they share a name with Talen's dead wife! Man that's just weird!
Special thanks to u/JulianSkies for proofreading! Seriously it felt like my eyes were melting out of my skull and your feedback was everything I needed!

🔗Tru-Sharp Stainless Pocket Trimmer with Blue Bone Handle

https://preview.redd.it/rjw3u3ljbd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8776196bf63001f64c3f3f4cfb34dced8a3efbe8
Recently, I came across a Case Knife Blue Bone Trapper, and I must say it's a gem. The vibrant orange synthetic handle made it easy to locate when I was outdoors, especially on my hunting trips. The clip and spey blades were incredibly versatile, making it an all-around useful tool for my projects around the house, outdoors, and hunting.
One of the standout features was the Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel blades, which held their edge much longer than conventional steel. Plus, the extraordinary blade strength and corrosion resistance added to the durability of this folding knife. It served as a great everyday pocket knife for me, and I found myself reaching for it often.
However, I did notice that the knife's closed length was slightly larger than I would have preferred for pocket carry. Also, the non-locking slip joint lock felt less secure compared to locking mechanisms. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Case Knife Blue Bone Trapper proved to be a reliable and beautiful addition to my collection.

🔗Handcrafted Carbon Steel Knife with Dark Red Bone Handle

https://preview.redd.it/29po69wjbd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=51dc46cf756e55d62991b81c56c4cf0c9c9f95fd
I recently had the chance to use the Case XX USA - Small Congress Dark Red Bone CA31949 Carbon Steel knife in my daily life. The first thing that stood out to me was the carbon steel blade, which offered a sharp and sturdy cutting surface. The Dark Red Bone handle provided a comfortable and solid grip, perfect for various tasks.
One of the most impressive features of this knife was its handcrafted design, showcasing the artistry and attention to detail of the U. S. A. -based craftsmen who created it. The carbon steel sheepsfoot blade and pen blades were mirror finish, giving the knife an elegant and unique look. However, it's worth mentioning that the knife is not lightweight, as it weighs 1.2 oz.
While using it, I also noticed the nickel silver bolster(s) and the inlay shield, adding a touch of sophistication to this functional tool. The boxed packaging was an added bonus, making it a great gift for someone special.
Overall, I found this Case XX USA - Small Congress Dark Red Bone CA31949 Carbon Steel knife to be a high-quality and reliable tool. Its distinctive design and solid construction make it a worthwhile investment for those who value craftsmanship and durability in their cutting instruments.

🔗Beautiful Navy Blue Bone Stockman Pocket Knife

https://preview.redd.it/f1q6zwckbd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fd9cd53e57899855c1b36bbba96e05ca8db5013
I recently tried out the Navy Blue Bone Stockman Pocket Knife, and I must say, I was impressed. From the moment I took it out of the package, the quality was apparent. The handle, made of jigged bone with a Tru-Sharp SS blade, felt comfortable in my hand, and the blue color added a nice touch to its appearance.
One of the best features of this knife is its versatility. The 6.5 cm blade is just the right length for everyday tasks and can easily be carried in my pocket. The weight, at 65 grams, is also perfectly manageable. It's perfect for everyday use and outdoor adventures.
While I loved the knife's construction, sharpness, and size, there was one thing that bothered me. The knife was delivered by a less-than-ideal shipping method, which caused it to be placed in my neighbor's mailbox instead of mine. I would have preferred it if the shipping was more streamlined and the knife was delivered directly to my doorstep.
Overall, I'm really happy with my Navy Blue Bone Stockman Pocket Knife. It's well-crafted, functional, and a great addition to my collection of everyday carry items.

🔗Yellow Mini Trapper Pocket Knife for Kids

Recently, I found myself using the CASE Mini Trapper pocket knife in my daily life. This versatile tool has made all the difference in my outdoorsy adventures, as it fits perfectly in the pocket and is easy to access when needed. The bright yellow handle really stands out, not only making it easy to spot in a backpack or bag but also adding a touch of personality to it.
I've noticed the knife has two full-length blades, the 'clip' blade and the 'spey' blade. The clip blade is perfect for detail work or cutting small items efficiently, while the spey blade is an all-purpose utility blade that can handle most tasks. The knife is constructed with the robust chrome vanadium steel, known for its excellent edge-holding ability and easy resharpening. Although the steel isn't as resistant to rusting as stainless steel, it adds to the knife's unique charm, making it a lifelong companion.
However, an aspect that I found less appealing was the susceptibility to potential rusting. While it may not be a deal-breaker for some, it's worth considering for those who plan to use the knife heavily or in humid environments. Nonetheless, its solid build, smooth operating mechanism, and durable construction make this pocket knife an undeniable staple in my kit. If you're looking for a reliable tool that adds a touch of style while still maintaining practicality, the CASE Mini Trapper pocket knife is worth a try.

🔗Old Red Bone Case Hawkbill Knife for Everyday Use

I've been using the Case Trapper Pocket Worn Old Red Bone Knife for a while now, and I must say, it's a beauty. Every time I take it out of my pocket, I can feel the quality in my hands. The red bone handle is not only eye-catching but also provides a comfortable grip.
The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are another highlight - they're sharp and hold their edge really well. The knife is perfect for those who enjoy trapping and skinning small game, as it's lightweight and has both a Clip and a Spey blade.
However, there is one downside. The knife is quite large, which can be a bit inconvenient when carrying it around in your pocket. But overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. It's like having a piece of art with me at all times that also happens to be a useful tool.

🔗Amber Jigged Bone Stockman Amber Bone Knife with CV-Carbon Steel Blades

A couple of months ago, I decided to try out this Case Large Stockman Amber Bone pocket knife, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Firstly, the amber jigged bone handle not only adds an elegant touch but also provides a perfect grip. This knife was designed to serve many purposes, and it shines in each one.
The sheepsfoot blade was a game-changer for me, making it smooth and convenient to use, perfect for carving and getting those clean cuts. But the icing on the cake is the clip blade, which is incredibly versatile, coming in handy for all the everyday tasks around my place.
One thing that did catch me off guard was the resilience of the chrome vanadium steel used in making the blades. While some might worry about its susceptibility to rust and discoloration, I found it easy to sharpen and maintain.
The thing that I absolutely love about this pocket knife is its construction and build quality. It is solid, and it oozes class. However, if you're a fan of stainless steel, you might not appreciate this aspect as much.
In conclusion, I'd say this product is the epitome of quality and craftsmanship. It's an all-in-one knife that's both a collectible and a utility knife. Sure, it has its pros and cons, but the experience of using it outweighs any minor drawbacks. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

🔗Stained Glass Trapper Folding Knife with Natural Bone Handle

I recently had the pleasure of using this Case Trapper Angel Wings Folding Knife, and let me tell you, it's a beauty to behold! The stained glass angel wings on the handle make this knife truly unique. The natural bone handles, featuring a color wash and black definition, catch the light perfectly.
With a Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel blade, I found that this knife held its edge quite well and was surprisingly sturdy despite its lightweight build. The knife comes with both a Clip and a Spey blade, each serving a different purpose. The Clip is excellent for intricate tasks, while the Spey is versatile enough for any everyday use.
One particularly impressive aspect of this product is its construction with Case Tru-Sharp stainless steel. This material ensures the blade stays sharp for longer and offers impeccable corrosion resistance. The quality of this knife is evident from its handcrafted design in the United States.
In terms of packaging, the product arrives in a sleek black velvet box, perfect for storing and displaying the knife. Overall, my experience with this Trapper Angel Wings Folding Knife has been nothing short of delightful – a must-have addition to any enthusiast's collection.

🔗Handcrafted Gray Bone Case SM Congress Jigged Bone Pocket Knife

I recently had the chance to try out the Case Small Congress Jigged Bone 58422, and let me tell you, it's quite a find. This little pocket knife is not only a perfect addition to my everyday carry, but it also has a unique charm to it.
The curved handle, made from gray bone, fits my hand nicely and gives a sturdy grip. The craftsmanship is evident in the way it was handcrafted in the United States – you can tell a lot of care and attention went into making this pocket knife.
The blade itself is made of carbon steel, which might seem a bit heavy for some, but I found it to be quite sharp and durable. It comes with two blades – a sheepsfoot, perfect for trimming hooves, and a pen blade for lighter work.
However, as much as I love this pocket knife, it's definitely not for everyone. Not only does it weigh a little more than other pocket knives, but the carbon steel blade might also be a bit of a risk when it comes to rust.
All in all, the Case Small Congress Jigged Bone 58422 is a fantastic choice for those who enjoy a traditional, compact pocket knife with a little extra heft and sharpness. But be sure to take proper care of it, and you'll be rewarded with a reliable and functional tool.

Recently, I had the chance to try out the Aquarius Trapper from W. R. Case & Sons, a premium American brand of handmade knives. This versatile pocket knife, crafted from the highest quality materials, instantly caught my attention with its durability and performance. Made by skilled artisans in the United States, it offers a wide range of features that make it a must-have for anyone in need of a reliable and durable tool.
One of the standout features of this Trapper knife is the Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades that provide excellent cutting capabilities. The clip and spey blades are a nice touch, offering versatility for different tasks. Additionally, the handles are made of durable Corelon Aquarius, which adds to the knife's overall durability and quality.
While I loved the attractive design and vibrant color options, I did notice that the knife seemed a bit prone to scratches when carried in my pocket. This prompted me to suggest that the manufacturer consider providing a cloth pouch to protect the knife during transportation. Overall, the Aquarius Trapper from Case Cutlery is an impressive tool, crafted with precision and care that makes it stand out among other pocket knives in the market.

🔗Case 50954 Iraqi Freedom Knife: Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel and Natural Bone Handle

Imagine walking into a dimly lit room, the scent of old leather and polished steel lingering in the air. In one corner, nestled among antique weapons, you find a knife that instantly catches your eye. It's a Hawkbill Knife from the War Series, designed in the image of a classic Iraqi Freedom pattern.
The blade is made from Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel, a choice that ensures durability and precision. The handle, carved from natural bone, fits comfortably in the hand, a testament to the craftsmanship of its creators. Handcrafted in the United States, each knife bears the mark of its origin - a symbol of quality and pride.
With a closed length of 4.13 inches, this Hawkbill Knife is compact yet potent. The spey blades, mirror finish stainless clip, and nickel silver bolster showcase the attention to detail that has gone into its creation. As you hold it, the Iraqi Freedom handle embellishment stands out, a unique touch that adds a layer of depth to your experience.
Unfortunately, there are a few aspects that could be improved. The weight of the knife at 4.0 ounces might not be suitable for everyone. Moreover, the overall design may not appeal to all, but for those who appreciate the history and craftsmanship that goes into each piece, the Hawkbill Knife from the War Series is truly special.

I've been using the Antique Bone Trapper for a few weeks now, and it's been quite a pleasure. The handle in jigged bone, with a rich, caramel brown tone, exudes an elegant, classic feel that makes you want to hold it and use it every day.
Plus, the Tru-Sharp SS blade adds durability and smoothness to cutting through tasks. However, I do wish the knife had been sharpened out of the box - just a bit of extra effort on my part before it could perform at its best.
Don't let this minor inconvenience deter you from trying it out. The Antique Bone Trapper is a fantastic addition to any collection or daily toolkit.

I was intrigued by the Case XX 02845 SM Congress Blue Bone knives. The mirrored stainless steel blades and blue jigged bone handle were visually appealing. But the slipjoint lock was a bit unwieldy.
It took some practice to get the hang of it. The Tru-Sharp Surgical Steel blades held their shine for a reasonable amount of time, which was convenient. However, for a small knife with a 3-inch closed length, it lacked maneuverability in some situations.
Nevertheless, I appreciated the American craftsmanship that went into making this compact, pocket-friendly knife.

I recently had the chance to try out the Case XX Mulberry Synthetic 4254 Trapper. It's a handsome little knife, featuring a beautiful Mulberry synthetic handle that gives it a lovely, slightly textured grip. The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are quite sharp, and the spey blades are perfect for those who like a little added functionality.
One of the things I appreciated most about this knife is that it's handcrafted right here in the United States. The attention to detail is evident, from the mirror finish stainless clip to the nickel silver bolster. However, something I noticed that might be a drawback for some is its weight - at only 3.7oz, it's a pretty light knife in comparison to others.
Using this knife daily, I found it quite versatile and practical. But overall, the Case XX Mulberry Synthetic 4254 Trapper is a product that combines both beauty and functionality, making it stand out among its competitors in the market.

I had the opportunity to test the Case 32402 Mini Trapper, a tiny pocket knife packed with impressive features. One of the highlights that stood out to me was the Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel, which provided durable sharpness that lasted through various tasks.
The Navy Blue Synthetic Handle offered a comfortable, ergonomic grip, allowing me to navigate my way around the miniature knife with ease. In addition, it added a touch of style to the design, making it stand out.
However, I did experience a small disadvantage - the Mini Trapper's manual-open design made it a bit challenging to access and open with just one hand. Despite this minor inconvenience, I still found great value in the United States Air Force W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. 32402. Overall, it was a reliable and aesthetically pleasing addition to my daily life.

Buyer's Guide

A Case Hawkbill Knife, also known as a pen knife or a pocket knife, is a versatile and practical tool. It offers a variety of functions, including cutting, opening, and even breaking objects like nails. This buyer's guide will provide an overview of essential factors to consider when purchasing a Case Hawkbill Knife, as well as some general recommendations.

Materials

https://preview.redd.it/jj9ke12sbd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f437e0147541de2c0e36542b8d78f424aab20e2a
One of the first things to consider is the materials used to make the knife. Good-quality knives are typically made from carbon steel, stainless steel, or high-carbon stainless steel. These materials provide durability, corrosion resistance, and sharpness. Consider the climate where you'll use the knife, as well as the type of objects you'll be cutting. Stainless steel may be a better choice if you live in a humid or salty environment. Meanwhile, high-carbon steel could be preferable for a more precise or versatile edge. Remember to check if the blade locks or unlocks securely when using it.

Design Features

There are several design features to consider when buying a Case Hawkbill Knife. A locking mechanism is essential for safety and ensuring that the blade remains closed when not in use. Popular locking mechanisms include friction locks and spring-loaded locks. Pay attention to the size and weight of the knife, as well as the design of the handle. Some handles are ergonomic for comfortable use, while others have built-in features for opening cans or bottles caps.

Brand Reputation

Another important aspect to consider is the brand reputation. Case has a long history of producing high-quality knives with excellent value for money. However, new brands or lesser-known manufacturers may offer excellent products as well. Research online reviews, customer testimonials, and manufacturer's warranty policies to ensure that you're getting a reliable and durable product.

Maintenance Tips

To extend the life of your Case Hawkbill Knife, proper maintenance is essential. Always clean the knife by wiping the blade with a cloth and removing any debris on the handle. To prevent rust, you should avoid submerging the knife in water or storing it in a humid area. Regularly re-lubricating the hinges and locking mechanism is also recommended. For the blade, sharpen or hone it as needed to maintain its cutting edge.

Price

The price of a Case Hawkbill Knife can vary based on factors such as materials, design features, and brand reputation. Shop around for the best deals and consider your budget when purchasing one. Remember that spending a bit more on a well-built knife may save you money in the long run by offering better durability and requiring fewer repairs or replacements.
