- Active: Tahm Kench swallows the target champion for up to 6 seconds, rendering them untargetable and displacement immune. Devour can be cast on enemies only with 3 stacks of An Acquired Taste.
- If the target is an ally, they become to unable to act and are granted a shield, which decays in strength by 70 every 0.5 seconds after they are Regurgitated. Tahm Kench will also gain 60% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds and is unable to cast movement spells besides Abyssal Dive Abyssal Dive while an ally is swallowed.
- After 3 seconds, Tahm Kench can cast Regurgitate within the duration, and automatically does so afterwards. The swallowed ally can also input a movement command to force this cast in the target direction, unless they are immobilized. An Acquired Taste: The target is suppressed while swallowed. Tahm Kench will also be grounded and slowed by 30% while an enemy is swallowed. If Tahm Kench is performing Abyssal Dive, Regurgitate will not automatically cast until after he finishes.

 | My goals were to maintain her builder identity and instead of removing her charges/build up mechanics instead engage them and use them to make her more lethal/threatening as a support especially submitted by Sparkle_SS to Overwatch [link] [comments] Her beam gets a significant nerf in theory with lower damage and ammo but a 1.5m range increase allows for more damage potential Her 275HP also lets her to stay in the fight longer The passive enables allies to protect her longer meaning you actually get to use the beam The orbs remain the same damage wise but get a shorter charge time from 1s to 0.7s, the travel speed is decreased from 50m/s to 25m/s which is the speed of her OW1 2022 orbs My idea for these orbs is to maintain the damage for a support and make Symmetra feel more fluid with the fast charging but reduce the speed so you can use them for efficiently for area denial Sentry turrets and Teleporter got a divorce.. Since turrets can no longer be used to TP bomb and potentially returning the 120DPS bombs she is allowed to have 4 turrets Removing teleporter hurt but in pro play it keeps her from getting buffed and it's difficult to balance even receiving two reworks during it's lifetime Symmetra never really had a movement ability so I decieded to remove it in the end as we really are used to it TP's place is taken by a new healing ability called Photon Fountain: The build time is exactly the same as TP and you place it the same way, it heals allies in a 10m radius by spinning hardlight waves resembling water from a fountain PF has three stages like her beam, it starts off weak for three seconds with the healing being lower than Mercys but after 3s levels up to 65HP/s which is slightly higher than her Valkyrie healing and if enemies keep ignoring it like they do with her turrets it goes up to a high healing amount of 80HP/s until it's destroyed after 3s aswell. I was debating if I should make the duration 10s/CD 14s so the high heal could be 4s making it more rewarding but I want to hear your thoughts on this, I also got an idea that she could potentially teleport to the well once which reminded me of old translocator, should this make it into the kit? Photon barrier stays as her ultimate as it fits the Support role well but it gets to be cheap again as with the lower damage it would take longer to charge, it's duration is decreased to 10s and it now releases a healing over time at 1.5s for 70HP in a 10m radius aslong as allies are not behind cover, 35HP for 0.75s then the other 35HP Her passive ability: Perfect Harmony makes her the shield generator herself, if she takes the risk and engages with her beam which maintains her DPS playstyle we all know and love allies receive temporary shield health if she can see them for up to 8m for a maximum of 75HP, LVL 1 adds 2.5HP/s until it reaches lvl 2 after 2s LVL 2 adds 6HP/s until it reaches lvl 2 after 1.5s LVL 3 adds 12HP/s until you let go or it looses charge One second after you get LVL3 if your allies took no damage they would have about 35 extra health, if you risk to keep going you can get the max 75HP and they would keep it for 7s Your allies shield health will not regenerate if it doesn't reach 75, up until then it's basically just overhealth with no ult reduction It's not quite healing but this allows you to do very high damage for a support while keeping your team alive, its 12HP per second but its immediate and you likely will kill your enemy before they kill your ally so keep that in mind I would be happy to hear your thoughts even if you think its bad haha |

I'm sure most of Chicago/Booth/Kellogg have heard of this company by now, but they also started recruiting consultants/MBA for their other branches (T25) so I made a post.
TLDR: If you're toxic, there's more worthy places to climb. If you aren't toxic, you will either be disgusted or turn toxic. This place will tank your resume/career progression if you stay for more than 2-3 years.
Quick Intro: McMaster-Carr is the Amazon of Industrial Supplies. They ship to the US Miltary, manufacturers, engineers, technicians, etc... Their customers are the engineers but the bills are paid by the Finance Dept hence as long as McM do a consistent good job delivering to the engineers, they can charge exorbitant amount (e.g $30 screw and $50 shipping; real example.) Their margins on most items are between 50% to 250% and revenue is $5B+. This is how they can pay entry managements with 0yoe $170k (bonus included, deferred saving excluded; see more below) and middle managers (3-10YOE) up to $300k.
Path/Exit: You will get a random rotation every 6-18 months. The rotation can be literally anything from Warehouse Operations Management Role to HR to Finance/Fraud. Management Trainee (0-18m depending on your background/initial performance). Supervisor (no pay raise as MT are expected to become Sup eventually; can be skipped if you have pre-MBA exp and did well in your initial performance.) ManageSeniorM (3-5yoe/5-8yoe; most people languished here until they decided to go all in or all out with McMaster.) After this come Regional ManageDirectoVP. You can leave at M/SM and might still be able to transition to a new careeindustry afterward. Otherwise, it's a tough sale. Even before the mid-2023 general market downturn, I knew Regional/Directors who took 1+ year just to switch to another manufacturing/industrial/supplychain job. Not even an industry switch.
Their Targets: In the past, 95%+ of management came from straight out of Ivy/Top Liberal Arts undergrad. This breeds an incredibly toxic environment since many of them are not mature/don't have leadership experience (the cream of the crop don't consider McMaster) and it's a case of the blinds leading the blinds. McM had a purge of toxic leaders back in mid-2010s but this problem returned. Since then, they have tried to recruit a few more consultants rather than depending solely on fresh grads. This recruiting effort has and continued to go miserably. Despite mass reach-out effort every single year, they only got some ex-B4 (1 Parthenon but the rest is regular B4), but they couldn't get anyone from T2 or MBB.
Nature of the work: (Micro)managing individual contributors and troubleshooting outdated issues (that are only found in 40yo+ warehouses) if you get a warehouse rotation. McM tries to sell you on these, but from my post-McM interviews as well as McM managers' outcomes, these skills are worthless. For once, the ICs get paid quite well so they work very hard. Management, in an attempt to justify their outrageous salary, tries to micromanage all the time even when outclassed by 20+ years of knowledge. IC vs Management issue will be further discussed in the Cons section. Another issue is that managing blue-collar is no way the same as managing white-collar so most hiring managers don't really care for this exp. The company doesn't really do marketing, M&A, or new market (it took them 30+ years to just now opening a new branch in Texas because McM's tech couldn't handle having 6 warehouses instead of 5.) I'm not kidding. They passed on growth opportunity for 30+ years because they didn't want to change... Also because the company doesn't do marketing, they are not good at customer behavior analytics, resulting in their website redesign that took 2+ years to get scraped ater 1 week due to customer complaints.)

• Their pay. McM has a 2.9 Glassdoor rating despite having a 4.6 rating in Compensation and Benefits. Pay include:

• There’s another purge/headcount reduction going on right now. A tidbit is that management above your level can see the performance review of everyone below them. This contributes to how much drama, backstabbing, and rumors float internally. Recently, an ex-Trainee even wrote a long post calling out his spineless manager and backstabbing coworkers in a GroupMe with 100+ members of management. The manager left soon after. The ex-Trainee even told McMaster to blacklist his undergrad for recruiting. Absolute legend.
• The operations and tech stack are very constrained and not replicable. The company uses 80s IBM Tech for CRM/ERP so unless you’re working on a Website-related project (which you can sometimes use Python/SQL), you will be writing outdated queries to pull data. McM also doesn’t use Powerpoint so you will have to learn Adobe Indesign. The company’s warehouses themselves have a ton of makeshifts and outdated stuff. If you get a warehouse assignment, you will be putting out fires arose from issues not addressed by the original warehouse design. If you think you will be value-add to a company like Amazon after your McMaster’s experience, you are wrong. Amazon warehouses are built in the early/mid 2010s and have about 30 years of new automation/technology integrated to them. McM is still tinkering with their first automated warehouse. Experience putting out fixed/nonexistent issues is worthless.
• This company hire fake review writers. You will notice the positive reviews are all generic and one line whereas the negative reviews (from both Managements and ICs) are all super long and super informative. You will also notice that there’s no longer a “Most Helpful” sort on Glassdoor. This is because all the negative reviews get liked so much. Now it’s just “Most Popular” which is just fake reviews with 0 like/dislike.
• Relationships between Management and Individual Contributors are more fraught than ever. The situation has always been incredibly tense because ICs were viewed with incredible disdain by Management (most of whom are rich Ivy/Top School graduates) but has only gotten worse with automation and market uncertainty.
• Management’s official policy is to never promote Individual Contributors. A fresh grad (0YOE) can instantly become a supervisor but somehow an IC needed 8+ years of consistent excellent performance to be considered. Management can become Manager in as little as 2yoe out of Undergrad, whereas IC -> Manager is so rare I can count the Chicago Branch on two hands. And no, it’s not because ICs are not qualified/hardworking. Just imagine how hard it is to work at Amazon-pace for EIGHT YEARS just to be equal to a college brown-nose.
• Management’s unofficial policy is to avoid eye contact or saying hello to ICs unless the ICs initiated it. ICs were afraid to take more than one food/souvenir item during an open house event even though we had so much leftover. A manager even complained that other managers were making fun of ICs for work-place injuries (think Amazon warehouse-like injuries such as overexertion, nerve damage, wrist/knees/back issues.) Absolutely devoid of humanity.
• The company had been automating part of the Atlanta and Chicago warehouses. Managements assigned to be tour guides of these automated warehouses were told to lie say that no IC headcount reduction will occur. Obviously, there were a rise in suspicious performance evaluation after these were built. Also, I was one of the tour guides and were asked by multiple ICs where the observation cameras will be in the ceiling. The fact that multiple raised this seemingly-joking-yet-alarming question tells you just how much Management has trained ICs to become paranoid over time. If you’re a new-hire consultant at McM and feels related to this meme, just know you will be holding the mop to clean up and not the lightsaber.

Welcome to Paragon everyone! We are a Mythic progression guild that started in October of 2023, right before the beginning of DF Season 3. We are built on the foundation of CE leadership coupled with many experienced mythic raiders. Achieving 6/9M in our 1st season together a guild, while we are proud of that accomplishment we are not satisfied and are working towards becoming more CE compliant in the coming raid tier. We are using Season 4 to bring individuals in to trial and continue building and tweaking our roster to perfection before the release of TWW.Requirements
Raid Attendance / Reliability - Each week we require you to signup for each raid via a signup channel in our discord. Attendance and punctuality is imperative when it comes to progression raiding. We require 90% participation.Knowledgeable / Competitive Oriented Players: We expect players to at a minimum know their class, know their rotation, defensives etc. We do not have time to teach players how to play their own class. We may opt to give criticism and help individuals but for the most part we anticipate that each player is constantly striving to be the best they can be at their chosen class.
Active Outside of Raid: Although Season 4 is a bit of a meme season, generally during a real raid tier we encourage players to fill their vaults with as high of keys as possible to help progress their toon not only in the raid but outside of the raid as well. It is crucial to early season progression that our members put the time in to stay up to date with gear and do not fall behind the curve in the first few weeks of the season.

The company uses 80s IBM Tech for CRM/ERP so unless you’re working on a Website-related project (which you can sometimes use Python/SQL), you will be writing outdated queries to pull data. McM also doesn’t use Powerpoint so you will have to learn Adobe Indesign. The company’s warehouses themselves have a ton of makeshifts and outdated stuff. If you get a warehouse assignment, you will be putting out fires arose from issues not addressed by the original warehouse design. If you think you will be value-add to a company like Amazon after your McMaster’s experience, you are wrong. Amazon warehouses are built in the early/mid 2010s and have about 30 years of new automation/technology integrated to them. McM is still tinkering with their first automated warehouse. Experience putting out fixed/nonexistent issues is worthless.
• This company hire fake review writers. You will notice the positive reviews are all generic and one line whereas the negative reviews (from both Managements and ICs) are all super long and super informative. You will also notice that there’s no longer a “Most Helpful” sort on Glassdoor. This is because all the negative reviews get liked so much. Now it’s just “Most Popular” which is just fake reviews with 0 like/dislike.
• Relationships between Management and Individual Contributors are more fraught than ever. Quick Intro: McMaster-Carr is the Amazon of Industrial Supplies. They ship to the US Miltary, manufacturers, engineers, technicians, etc... Their customers are the engineers but the bills are paid by the Finance Dept hence as long as McM do a consistent good job delivering to the engineers, they can charge exorbitant amount (e.g $30 screw and $50 shipping; real example.)This is how they can pay entry managements with 0yoe $170k (bonus included, deferred saving excluded) and middle managers (3-10YOE) up to $300k.
Path/Exit: You will get a random rotation every 6-18 months. The rotation can be literally anything from Warehouse Operations Management Role to HR to Finance/Fraud. Hey guys. I live here for about 6-7 years or even more. In my teens I never had issues with anything like this, I had some sleep paralysis here and there but nothing bad. Well.. my father passed away in 2021 and since then my life went downhill, I even stopped sleeping in my own room for a year or so and always slept in a room with my mom. Long story short I healed most of my wounds and I decided to get back to my own room, got completely new furniture.. also because I noticed that I developed a cat allergy so I wanted a room where I can sleep peacefully without my allergies kicking in. I have slept in my own room for over a month now and there wasn't a day I slept good. My sleep keeps getting disturbed, I feel nervous in there all the time (at night when sleeping), I even had night terror which I never experienced in my life before.. and most important: Sleep paralysis constantly. Heavy. I see shadow figures, I hear someone calling my name sometimes.. I just feel like there is something evil in my room. So I tried sleeping elsewhere and see there: I slept perfectly. Like a baby. Now we thought this could be because i'm not letting my cats sleep with me anymore.. since they are seen as protectors :) so I decided I will try sleeping in my room again but with my door open so my cats can enter. But again: horrible sleep. So now i'm convinced that there must be something bad. Now... meanwhile all of this, I met a man who is a shaman, he told me there is something that steals my energy.. something like a Demon? He said its passed down from family.. but I don't know if this is true, I don't understand why it doesn't happen in other rooms then and only in my own bedroom?
Do you guys know what this could be and what I can do? I can't sleep at all because of it and it doesn't let me have peace.

 | This was fun to make so I wanted to post it too, don't take this so seriously but I will explain my reasoning for changing/removing some stuff submitted by Sparkle_SS to SymmetraMains [link] [comments] My goals were to maintain her builder identity and instead of removing her charges/build up mechanics instead engage them and use them to make her more lethal/threating as a support especially Her beam gets a significant nerf in theory with lower damage and ammo but a 1.5m range increase allows for more damage potential Her 275HP also lets her to stay in the fight longer The passive enables allies to protect her longer meaning you actually get to use the beam The orbs remain the same damage wise but get a shorter charge time from 1s to 0.7s, the travel speed is decreased from 50m/s to 25m/s which is the speed of her OW1 2022 orbs My idea for these orbs is to maintain the damage for a support and make Symmetra feel more fluid with the fast charging but reduce the speed so you can use them for efficiently for area denial Sentry turrets and Teleporter got a divorce.. Since turrets can no longer be used to TP bomb and potentially returning the 120DPS bombs she is allowed to have 4 turrets Removing teleporter hurt but in pro play it keeps her from getting buffed and it's difficult to balance even receiving two reworks during it's lifetime Symmetra never really had a movement ability so I decieded to remove it in the end as we really are used to it TP's place is taken by a new healing ability called Photon Fountain: The build time is exactly the same as TP and you place it the same way, it heals allies in a 10m radius by spinning hardlight waves resembling water from a fountain PF has three stages like her beam, it starts off weak for three seconds with the healing being lower than Mercys but after 3s levels up to 65HP/s which is slightly higher than her Valkyrie healing and if enemies keep ignoring it like they do with her turrets it goes up to a high healing amount of 80HP/s until it's destroyed after 3s aswell. I was debating if I should make the duration 10s/CD 14s so the high heal could be 4s making it more rewarding but I want to hear your thoughts on this Photon barrier stays as her ultimate as it fits the Support role well but it gets to be cheap again as with the lower damage it would take longer to charge, it's duration is decreased to 10s and it now releases a healing over time at 1.5s for 70HP in a 10m radius aslong as allies are not behind cover, 35HP for 0.75s then the other 35HP Her passive ability: Perfect Harmony makes her the shield generator herself, if she takes the risk and engages with her beam which maintains her DPS playstyle we all know and love allies receive temporary shield health if she can see them for up to 8m for a maximum of 75HP, LVL 1 adds 2.5HP/s until it reaches lvl 2 after 2s LVL 2 adds 6HP/s until it reaches lvl 2 after 1.5s LVL 3 adds 12HP/s until you let go or it looses charge One second after you get LVL3 if your allies took no damage they would have about 35 extra health, if you risk to keep going you can get the max 75HP and they would keep it for 7s Your allies shield health will not regenerate if it doesn't reach 75, up until then it's basically just overhealth with no ult reduction It's not quite healing but this allows you to do very high damage for a support while keeping your team alive, its 12HP per second but its immediate and you likely will kill your enemy before they kill your ally so keep that in mind I would be happy to hear your thoughts even if you think its dumb lol |

Shelly will have both Shell Shock and Band-Aid. Spike will get both Curveball and the other star power (I don't even remember what it is 💀) The requirement is, your brawler must be at least power 9 and own both the star powers. This can be a modifier-ish mode, i.e. 2 of the 6 game modes will be allowing this modifier at any given point and it will rotate every 24 hours. The benefits of implementing this idea would be:
There can also be a Duo Bonus: if 2 of the 3 trio brawlers are in your team, both brawlers will get the benefit of whatever gears you've got equipped, but only if they're both power 8+. For example, you're playing Emz with speed and damage gears. Your teammate is a Mortis with shield and gadget gears. You'll both get the extra gadget + speed + shield + damage gears. Same gears do not stack in effect. My original idea for duo bonus was that you get both your gadgets available in the match but that would be complicated to implement and require a new button for the second gadget. So i went with the idea of gears. Let me know what y'all think about this. Personally I would give anything to be able to play Nita with both Hyper Bear and Bear with me 🐻. |

Essentially I've made a system in Godot that takes the advantages of Multi-Meshes (combining all meshes of the same type into a single draw call for improved CPU performance) while mitigating the disadvantages (unable to separate/cull individual meshes, which harms GPU performance). Note: written in C#.
It is recommended to know a bit about how Multi-Mesh instancing works; this isn't a full tutorial. Not that I won't answer questions about it either :)
The way it works is:
VisibleIDs = [0,1,3]
And then on the MultiMesh object, VisibleInstanceCount = 3.
So far it's straight forward. Just keep adding/removing elements from the VisibleIDs list.
Transform3D transform = new Transform3D(Basis.FromEuler(new Vector3(0, rotation, 0)).Scaled(scale), position);
And then put that into a list of arrays:
return new float[] { transform[0][0], transform[1][0], transform[2][0], transform[3][0],
transform[0][1], transform[1][1], transform[2][1], transform[3][1],
transform[0][2], transform[1][2], transform[2][2], transform[3][2] };
Later we'll unpack all of these when we're doing an UpdateAll. They will get "added" to the giant MultiMesh Buffer array.
There is a method in Godot on the Camera3D for checking if a position is behind the camera. But I found it faster to replace it with the Godot method where you use the Mathf Dot product.
To get even better performance, I replaced it with System.Numerics.Vector3 Dot.
Quick performance comparison:
Camera IsPositionBehind() - 1.16ms on 16,384 objects Godot Mathf Class - 0.51ms C# Maths - 0.07ms
For those wondering "is this due to marshalling / C#-C++ overhead?" The answer is probably no - the Godot Mathf class is in fact re-written for C# as far as I can tell. I understand that IsPositionBehind will be slower because I think it does use C++ AND in the other two methods I am caching as much as I can before looping through them. But I honestly cannot see a reason why Godot Mathf would be considerably slower than using C#.
The actual maths is:
Get the transform of the camera: camera.GlobalTransform.Orthonormalized() Get the Vector3 "eye direction:" -cameraTransform.Basis[2].Normalized(); Compare: System.Numerics.Vector3.Dot(eyedir, diff) < 0 (this tells it to HIDE the object).
The second test is to simply test the distance. Again, using System.Numerics.Vector3 LengthSquared instead of Godot's math helped. Caching the camera transform data into System Numerics variants is important to avoid many conversions.
By combining multiple of these, you can have a mesh that only shows in the far distance and others that only show up close to get the benefits of LODs.

It is recommended to know a bit about how Multi-Mesh instancing works; this isn't a full tutorial. Not that I won't answer questions about it either :)
The way it works is:
- "Objects" are de-coupled from Meshes. So I essentially have my own RendObj class that doesn't inherit from Node3D. These can request an ID from the MeshManager. It makes it simple to keep the "logic" separate from the actual rendering method, to swap in whatever I want.
- The MeshManager has a Dictionary of
- The reason for tracking IDs is that we want to be able to only send visible meshes to the Multi-Mesh each frame. That means if there are 5 objects and 3 are visible (object 2 and 4 are invisible) it will look like:
VisibleIDs = [0,1,3]
And then on the MultiMesh object, VisibleInstanceCount = 3.
So far it's straight forward. Just keep adding/removing elements from the VisibleIDs list.
- Because this changes dynamically, we need to update the buffer size in the MultiMesh. So to keep things simple, the default size is set to 4 (set via MultiMesh.InstanceCount, which can be different to VisibleInstanceCount luckily). Each time we want to go beyond the current InstanceCount, we clear all buffers, double the capacity, and then set the new instance count to that capacity. So it goes 4, 8, 16, 32...
- For performance reasons, we're going to set the Buffer array directly on MultiMesh rather than use SetInstanceTransform() on each. Therefore we need to:

ok so, bit of a background, I’ve had eczema only when I was a child but around the age of 3/4 it disappeared completely, it was mostly for a dust mite allergy and never had it again, until just a random neck flare up in march 2021(I was 16) (it disappeared without doing anything after some days) then, randomly, in November 2022 I started having flare ups on my neck and around my eyes but just as before they disappeared in some days maybe a week without applying anything, another flare up came back around February 2023, I saw a dermatologist, he prescribed me a mild topical steroid (advantan 0,1%) and disappeared once again, I sometimes just had random patches of dry skin on my neck or face but no sign of eczema, summer went great, but then around octobeNovember 2023 came back also in places I’ve never had it before and since then it has never left me, I did everything, removed fragrances, bought all the specific products for eczema prone skin, did some rounds of topical steroids, I had maybe some days or weeks where my skin was so great like I never had eczema but sadly it always came back. I took the prick tests and everything came back negative, also blood test still for allergies and were all negative, I have the patch test scheduled on last week of may, really hope to find out I’m allergic to something so this shit will go away. my eczema usually disappeared in spring so I was so happy about april and may coming but sadly this year my skin said Hell naw. tried lots of moisturizers, many didn’t work and some did help, but only with dryness. It’s really exhausting since I have it mostly on my face and neck, I do have some random patches on my arms , bigger ones on my inner elbows, but everywhere else my skin looks great, but my face, neck and shoulders look so terrible, it’s spreading on my face, steroids seem to not work anymore, it’s hard having a social life and keeping my relationship with my boyfriend healthy while I feel ugly, dirty and powerless. just so u guys know I do smoke and I noticed my eczema starting to worsen when I mostly switched to heated tobacco cigs (iqos), and also when i started taking the combined pill as birth control, also I really had a stressful life and fought against mental health for a long long time, finally doing better and then boom the universe wanted me to suffer some more (funny how when I had so many problems with my mental health my skin was literally perfect) looks like I’m finally fine and my body is expelling all the stress?? literally going crazy trying to understand my triggers or what’s causing it. also alcohol makes it so itchy I’ll sadly have to skip my glass of wine lmao If anyone wants to see the pics I’ll send them! I was thinking about the time between releases and being annoyed about it. That lead me to the thought that I could do it faster. This had me ask how long it would take for me to release a new chapter, so I started to think about it. This lead me down a rabbit hole of exponential amounts of work to make the next chapter. If someone dies then they are, obviously not there anymore which could lead to even more exponents. As an example let's say if you take Eiden's deal when you meet him for the time and he kills Daren that theoretically leads to more exponents. Daren isn't there to heal FlowePetal when they get cursed by the orge shaman, they then die. This leads to you not getting saved during the ambush by the apprentice royal guard. It also has Arraka having no where to go when she escapes during the final fight in the end of book one. Might have mixed some details since I have very busy lately.
