🎵The Throwback Thursday Supervote🎵 - Semi-final 1

2024.04.04 12:02 SkyGinge 🎵The Throwback Thursday Supervote🎵 - Semi-final 1

Welcome to the semi-final stage of the Throwback Thursday Supervote, our quest to find the subreddit's favourite Eurovision songs ever! The community has now voted on every contest from Malmö 2013 to Malmö 2024, and 96 songs remain in contention. This week we're voting on the first 32 remaining entries.
EDIT: The vote is now cancelled, stay tuned for the results!

~Format & How to Vote~

As in the heats, the 8 entries which receive the highest number of votes will advance to the Grand Final. In addition, the 9th placed entry with the highest number of votes will qualify as a wildcard to complete the final 25.
If you want to listen to the songs to help with your ranking, listen to this playlist!
To vote, please submit your ranking as a top-level comment in this thread. You can either submit your top ten or your full ranking of all 32 entries. Your ranking will then be transformed into a Eurovision style vote - 12 points for your #1, 10 points for your #2, and so on. The vote will be open until Sunday 7th April 23:59CET; the results will then be posted in a separate post at the start of the next week.
u/TrollHunter87 will very kindly be using his automated script to collate these rankings. Please note that the submission instructions are slightly different as a result of this format including multiple entries from the same country. If you want to ensure that your vote counts, make sure that:
  1. You write both the country and the year in the row (e.g. "Bulgaria 2017" or "🇧🇬 2017") OR write the song title
  2. You write the countries in separate lines, and the lines start with a number (example: "1. United States")
  3. You can't have a tie between songs
  4. Don't just put "1." at the start of every row and let reddit do its thing. Actually put the all the numbers from 1 to 10 in the markdown
  5. If you're unsure, just look at the other comments. Almost all of them are valid.

🎵The Throwback Thursday Supervote🎵 - Liverpool 2023 Results & Semi-Finals Introduction
After eleven trips down memory line, we have finally completed the first round of the Throwback Thursday Supervote, this year's special vote on every Eurovision song from Malmö 2013 to Malmö 2024. Last week we voted on the most recent edition, Liverpool 2023 - in the busyness of the week we had a slightly reduced number of participants as 125 community members submitted valid rankings. After transforming these rankings into sets of Eurovision-style votes, the top 8 songs with the highest points have qualified for the semi-finals in April. Again, the fight for the last qualification spot was very close!
The eight qualifiers from 2023 are, in alphabetical order:
The rest of the results are as follows, compiled in a simple table:

Spain missing out is the biggest surprise of this entire vote for me so far!
And thus, the first round is now complete, and we move on to...

The Semi-finals

96 songs remain in contention. These songs have been drawn semi-randomly into three semi-finals of 32 songs, and within that drawn into three thirds, from which I have arranged running orders. As in the first round, the top 8 of each semi-final will qualify for the grand final. In addition, the 9th placed song with the highest number of votes will receive a wildcard to complete the final 25.
Here are the full semi-final line-ups:
Semi-final 1: 4th April

2024.03.09 16:03 AnuragVohra Recliner-JS: A local REST CouchDB in your browser, another tool to offline first PWA

Recliner-JS

A CouchDB like DB, which runs in your browser. Access your saved attachments locally with REST API: html
GITHUB_LINK

Features

  1. Uses same REST API like Couch DB.
  2. Implements CouchDB replicator protocol for seem less replication with backend.
  3. Can Lazy load Blobs(video media) from cloud.
  4. Partial content and stream supported.
  5. Uses IndexedDB as its backend DB and hence no storage restrictions.
  6. Mango like queries for searching and replication.
  7. Typescript based client to access REST API.

PWA: Simplify Offline first exprience for devloper

As its a DB (build over indexedDB) that recides in service worker and is access via rest api to service worker. It can feel like a native DB for the devloeprs

Usage

In your service worker add this: js import {Recliner} from 'recliner-js'; const recliner = new Recliner();//create instance self.addEventListener("fetch",(e)=>{ const url_path = Recliner.getPathFromUrl(e.request); //mounts recliner if(url_path.startsWith("/recliner")){ e.respondWith(recliner.process(e.request)); }else{ // do whatever else } }); Now you can access docs and attachments saved in your recliner DB via URL html

CRUD with DB

There are two ways to interact with DB: 1. Using regular fetch in your JS code using REST API similar to CouchDB*. js const getADoc = await fetch(`/reclinedbname/docid`); if(getADoc.status === 200){ return await getADoc.json();//{_id,_rev,ok: true} } See complete list of Rest API
*Though many , but not all Couch REST API is supported. See Difference from CouchDB section.
  1. Use the a client instead: UsageDAO ```js import {UsageDAO} from 'recliner-js'; //Create await UsageDAO.postADoc(dbname,{name:"person1",age:30}); //Retrieve const doc = await UsageDAO.readADoc(dbname,docid); //Update await UsageDAO.updateADoc(dbname,doc._id,{name:"person1",age:34}); //Delete await UsageDAO.deleteADoc(dbname,doc._id);
//query const findResult = await UsageDOA.findByPagination({ dbanme, selector:{ age:{$lt: 40}, income: {$within:[10000,20000]}, loc: {$isinpolygon:[]}//has some GIS capability } });
//Save Attachments await UsageDAO.addAttachmentsToDocID(dbname,doc._id,{ "my_doc.pdf":DOC_BLOB, "my_video.webm":VIDEO_BLOB });
//Save attach wth a cloud URl. //this way when such docs get replicated the Attachments are not sent. As they can be downloaded at end system using the cloud URL await UsageDAO.addAnAttachmentToExistingDoc(dbname,doc,attachment_name,blob,new_edits,cloud_url,content_type); //CRUD with attachments on DOC is available
//Replication: say fetch last 10 post await UsageDAO.replicate({ selector:{ post_id type:"post", time:{$lt: now} }, limit: 10, source:{ url:"/reclinemy_db" }, target:{ url: "/proxy/couchdb/dbname", headers:{ token:"some_token" } } }); ```

Partial content and Media streaming

Save the document with a cloud_url in a _attachments property. js await fetch("/reclinedbname/docid",{ method:"PUT", body:{ _id:docid name:"person1", _attachments:{ "my_video.webm":{ cloud_url:"some_valid_cloud_url_which_supports_partial_content", } } } });
Now this is can be streamed using: html

await fetch("/reclinedbname/docid",{ method:"PUT", body:{ _id:docid name:"person1", _attachments:{ "my_video.webm":{ cloud_url:"some_valid_cloud_url_which_supports_partial_content", } } } });
Now this is can be streamed using:
The video player will automatically stream the video via recliner. Using the cloud_url, the docs will be partially downloaded and saved for offline use, and then streamed to video element. So next time when user stream the same video, its pulled out from the local cache.
However for all this to work, you need to configure recliner for what all mime type you want to support for streaming.
import {Recliner} from 'recliner-js'; const recliner = new Recliner(24,{ "video/webm":1000_000,//1MB of partial content size for streaming "audio/mp3":1000_00//0.1MB of partial content size for streaming });
When configured this way, then whenever an attachments of type webm and mp3 are requested, they are automatically streamed. If partial content of a doc is not present locally, than using the cloud_url its partial content is first pulled from cloud, saved in indexedDB and then streamed to the corresponding requesting GUI components like : video and audio tags. Next time same partial content will be streamed from local DB, instead of fetching it from cloud_url.

REST API supported

"/recline:db"; "/recline:db/_design/:ddoc"; "/recline:db/_find"; "/recline:db/_index"; "/recline_replicate"; "/recline:db/_changes"; "/recline:db/_bulk_get"; "/recline:db/_revs_diff"; "/recline:db/_local/:docid"; "/recline:db/:docid"; "/recline:db/:docid/:attachment"; "/recline:db/_db_design"; "/recline:db/_run_update_function"; "/recline_delete_recliner";

Gotchas

  1. For a multientry search the field name muts end with _m
  2. Supported query operators: $lt,$lte,$eq,$ne,$gte,$gt,$exists,$within,$nin,$regex,$in,$isinpolygon,$isnotinpolygon,$nwithin

Difference from CouchDB

  1. DB level design docs, saved via UsageDAO.putADBDesign, can be used to configure various function at DB level :

export interface DBDesignDoc{ //name of the DB for_db:string; //before insertion docs are validated using this doc_validation_function?:string;//this is stringified JS function //used for map reduce map_functions?: Record; reduce_functions?:Record; //can be used to mass modify docs using a selector update_functions?:Record; /** * Used during remote to local replication using view query as source. [one can pass viewQueryUrl to replication info, to start view based replication] * This functions are used to filter view result before replicating them to local DB. */ view_result_filter_functions?:Record; }
  1. Views are not supported, however Indexes, Map and Reduce is still supported using UsageDAO.postQueryToDBDesign(dbname:string, query:MapReduceQuery). 3. Design docs are not replicated by default when doing remote to local or local to remote replication. However for local to local replication design docs are copied. By local means database present in the browser. By remote means the one located and accessed via HTTPS on DB server(or via a proxy). 4. _local attribute can be added on doc. They remain solely on local machine, and is removed when are replicated. So some values you wanted to keep in doc, but don;t want to send to server can be saved here. CouchDB Local Docs is supported, which are never replicated.
Though the most important API, to deal with docs and attachments and Database is implemented. And many which deemed insignificant where dropped.

2024.03.09 15:11 AnuragVohra Recliner-JS: A local REST CouchDB in your browser

Recliner-JS

A CouchDB like DB, which runs in your browser. Access your saved attachments locally with REST API:

GITHUB_LINK

Features

Usage

In your service worker add this:
import {Recliner} from 'recliner-js'; const recliner = new Recliner();//create instance self.addEventListener("fetch",(e)=>{ const url_path = Recliner.getPathFromUrl(e.request); //mounts recliner if(url_path.startsWith("/recliner")){ e.respondWith(recliner.process(e.request)); }else{ // do whatever else } });
Now you can access docs and attachments saved in your recliner DB via URL

CRUD with DB

There are two ways to interact with DB:
  1. Using regular fetch in your JS code using REST API similar to CouchDB*.

const getADoc = await fetch(`/reclinedbname/docid`); if(getADoc.status === 200){ return await getADoc.json();//{_id,_rev,ok: true} }
See complete list of Rest API
*Though many , but not all Couch REST API is supported. See Difference from CouchDB section.
  1. Use the a client instead: UsageDAO
    import {UsageDAO} from 'recliner-js'; //Create await UsageDAO.postADoc(dbname,{name:"person1",age:30}); //Retrieve const doc = await UsageDAO.readADoc(dbname,docid); //Update await UsageDAO.updateADoc(dbname,doc._id,{name:"person1",age:34}); //Delete await UsageDAO.deleteADoc(dbname,doc._id);
    //query const findResult = await UsageDOA.findByPagination({ dbanme, selector:{ age:{$lt: 40}, income: {$within:[10000,20000]}, loc: {$isinpolygon:[]}//has some GIS capability } });
    //Save Attachments await UsageDAO.addAttachmentsToDocID(dbname,doc._id,{ "my_doc.pdf":DOC_BLOB, "my_video.webm":VIDEO_BLOB });
    //Replication: say fetch last 10 post await UsageDAO.replicate({ selector:{ post_id type:"post", time:{$lt: now} }, limit: 10, source:{ url:"/reclinemy_db" }, target:{ url: "/proxy/couchdb/dbname", headers:{ token:"some_token" } } });

Partial content and Media streaming

Save the document with a cloud_url in a _attachments property.
await fetch("/reclinedbname/docid",{ method:"PUT", body:{ _id:docid name:"person1", _attachments:{ "my_video.webm":{ cloud_url:"some_valid_cloud_url_which_supports_partial_content", } } } });
Now this is can be streamed using:
The video player will automatically stream the video via recliner. Using the cloud_url, the docs will be partially downloaded and saved for offline use, and then streamed to video element. So next time when user stream the same video, its pulled out from the local cache.
However for all this to work, you need to configure recliner for what all mime type you want to support for streaming.
import {Recliner} from 'recliner-js'; const recliner = new Recliner(24,{ "video/webm":1000_000,//1MB of partial content size for streaming "audio/mp3":1000_00//0.1MB of partial content size for streaming });

"/recline:db"; "/recline:db/_design/:ddoc"; "/recline:db/_find"; "/recline:db/_index"; "/recline_replicate"; "/recline:db/_changes"; "/recline:db/_bulk_get"; "/recline:db/_revs_diff"; "/recline:db/_local/:docid"; "/recline:db/:docid"; "/recline:db/:docid/:attachment"; "/recline:db/_db_design"; "/recline:db/_run_update_function"; "/recline_delete_recliner";

Gotchas

  1. For a multientry search the field name muts end with _m
  2. Supported query operators: $lt,$lte,$eq,$ne,$gte,$gt,$exists,$within,$nin,$regex,$in,$isinpolygon,$isnotinpolygon,$nwithin

Difference from CouchDB

  1. DB level design docs, saved via UsageDAO.putADBDesign, can be used to configure various function at DB level :

export interface DBDesignDoc{ //name of the DB for_db:string; //before insertion docs are validated using this doc_validation_function?:string;//this is stringified JS function //used for map reduce map_functions?: Record; reduce_functions?:Record; //can be used to mass modify docs using a selector update_functions?:Record; /** * Used during remote to local replication using view query as source. [one can pass viewQueryUrl to replication info, to start view based replication] * This functions are used to filter view result before replicating them to local DB. */ view_result_filter_functions?:Record; }

2023.12.23 22:56 sidereum-luscus org indo ketika baca/denger quran, tahlil, maulid, ato doa doa yang panjang bhs arab itu pada tau artinya ngga?

terutama jamaahnya yg aamin aamin, tau lagi minta apa sebenernya?

2023.06.26 23:20 OriginalTrip5759 Audio not working

To start, this is not a brand new issue for me on a fresh install where I'm too lazy to read manpages or anything like that. I've been trying to troubleshoot this problem for well over a month now in silence, and to be honest this is the one thing keeping me from using Openbsd as my daily. There are quite a few other posts online about this issue, but none of the fixes have worked for me so far. I'm going off of this page:
https://www.openbsd.org/faq/faq13.html
which is the OpenBSD multimedia section of the FAQ. I've read all the relevant man pages, such as audio(4), sndio(7), audioctl(8), mixerctl(8), sndiod(8). It may be a very simple fix and I'm just missing something basic, or I'm thinking maybe my hardware isn't supported.
Here's what I think would be the relevant info from dmesg:
uadio0 at uhub0 port 6 configuration 1 interface 3 "KTMicro KT USB Audio" rev 2.00/1.00 addr3
uaudio0: class v1, full-speed, sync, channels: 2 play, 1 rec, 5 ctls
audio1 at uaudio0
uhidev2 at uhub0 port 6 configuration 1 interface 3 "KTMicro KT USB Audio" rev 2.00/1.00 addr 3
uhidev2: iclass 3/0, 84 report ids
ucc1 at uhidev2 reportid 1: 7 usages, 6 keys, enum
wskbd2 at ucc1 mux 1
uhid2 at uhidev2 reportid 75: input=10, output=10, feature=0
uhid3 at uhidev2 reportid 84: input=10, output=10, feature=0
*****
Not sure if that's all the relevant dmesg data. Would be happy to post more if needed.
So I start with a plain vanilla install and try multiple audio options to see if it's working or not. I've tried at least five brand new installs, same issue every time. Can't get audio working. This didn't happen in a VM before I did a bare-metal install, so I didn't know I would encounter this issue. I've tried playing .au format with aucat, mp3 format with VLC, and minitube (front-end client for youtube) and nothing works.
From a fresh install, I run syspatch then reboot. Then copy /etc/examples/mixerctl.conf to /etc/mixerctl.conf and uncomment "outputs.master=200". Still no audio. If I run:
rcctl set sndiod flags -f rsnd/0 -F rsnd/1
rcctl restart sndiod
Still no audio. If I run mixerctl as root, it returns:
record.enable=sysctl
If I run sndioctl as normal user, it returns:
input.level=0.000
input.mute=0
output.level=1.000
output.mute=0
server.device=1
app/minitub0=1.000

If I try to manually change the audio server (correct terminology ?) with sndioctl server.device to either 0 or 1, still no audio

When I try to run: cat > /dev/audio0 < /dev/zero &, it returns:
[1] 15808
openbsd$ ksh: cannot create /dev/audio0: Permission denied
So then I try with doas or as root, still same output, except for root is says: Operation not supported by device.
So then I just run "audioctl play.{bytes,errors} anyways and get:
play.bytes=0
play.errors-0

But I don't know if I'm running this command properly. This is probably a very simple and easy fix, but for some reason it just seems to be beyond me. So perhaps someone could walk me through what they would do to configure the audio from my dmesg output on a fresh install, which is what I have right now. Thanks so much.

2023.05.22 19:40 Karma-Duck Karma Duck's attempt of yuppie repairs #1 (declaring lost ipod shuffle nano before repair)

1 - kindle eReader that may just need a battery replacement
nano green w/bad screen / possible water damage / heavy scratches, etc / play music
nano green w/cracked glass and "needs itunes" bootloop / heavy scratches, etc
nano green nearing DoA or EoL? / w/dime sized black "burn" spot on lower right glass (environmental or age damaged lcd = needs replacement) / bootloop (check battery) / heavy scratches, etc
nano black 3 lcd lines / has photos but no contacts / play music
nano black water damaged / heavy scratches, rust, etc / non-responsive click wheel = can not test
shuffle silver DoA? / charging issues / doesn't play music
shuffle pink DoA? / charging issues & battery expansion (click wheel also sticks out from housing) / doesn't play music
shuffle pink plays music, but why IS music on there?

I am PUBLICLY declaring all of these as lost, even though some of them might not be lost. I am not sure if I'd be able to directly contact all owners in a timely matter, if at all. At least 1 device has an unreadable serial number.
stage 1 - "If I own it, I should have the right to repair it" But really, check if you own it.

less question-able:
2 ipods that were leftovers from someone else's attempt of repairing. (One was reset, the other has issues.)
1 - mp3 player defective from factory (um...I see droplets in the usb and the buttons sounded crunchy)

Let's get this out of the way:
Of course stealing is wrong, that's why I am declaring all of these items as possibly LOST before I start needlessly opening up the devices.

Some of them don't boot into the software, so to figure out there is still an owner I'll need to do some troubleshooting. At least two of them needs battery replacement before I can get anywhere with them. I had to open one of the ipods because of battery expansion. I'm not sure what to do if I replace the battery and I hope that the board isn't cracked.

I've read that Apple doesn't contact the owner based on their privacy policy.
Turn them all into the police? 1- I doubt any of them have the minimum value required for the police to take them. 2- If I give them to the police and they can't find the owner, they'll only pay me their appraised value and recycle the device. (State doesn't allow finder to claim things as the new owner.) People who look the other way could possibly allow the state to make a profit off the same device numerous times.
I wonder if attempts to find owners will bring anyone closure. And, I learned that it's cheaper to replace tablets than to repair them.

Thanks for any help.

SOLVED: thanks to u/purplebrewer185 for provinding the solution; it was sufficient to add the following line:
www-client/firefox -clang
Inside of a file in /etc/portage/package.use/ and after that it all compiled successufully.
also consider giving a look at Gentoo bug 838373 in case you have similar problems.
Thanks again for your help.

2022.07.25 12:39 icadkren FPI bukan Salafi/Wahabi.

Rizieq: Lupa Qunut Subuh Harus Sujud Sahwi: source YT
FPI Melakukan Maulid: source berita
Tahlilan: source berita 1 source berita2
