2024.05.15 01:51 Xeon117 New player here. I blindly went into vault 51.

Shooting myself in the foot first of all because I should know better than to walk into any vault at low level so imagine my surprise when I make it all the way to the end and my level 8 ass has to fight a Scorched in Power Armor. I died three times. 1st time, I challenged him with an upfront assault and quickly went from home invader to missing person. 2nd time, I blew all my stealth boys trying to take out his fusion core. It's fun being new, because nobody's really there to tell you these things don't work until you find out the hard way. My final stealth wore off and I received my test results, I'm 100% USDA Prime. My final death, let's just say user error. The upside is I now know how throwing grenades work. I return one final time and that's when I realize he never leaves his room so I position myself at the end of the hallway where his Gatling laser can't reach, and begin slowly hammering away at his ankles with my scoped .44 Revolver. It took just about 15 minutes for him to finally go down and I get jack shit for a reward. The only thing I'm truly upset about, I wanted that damn Power Armor. One hell of a learning experience, but maybe a minimum level pop up when entering certain zones.

2024.05.15 01:51 tryingredditlol My Story + Some Exciting News

I received some very exciting news from my doctor today - my LEEP results came back and my margins were clear! I’ve been receiving bad news for almost a year now, so I’m so, so happy to finally get some happy news.
Everything started almost a year ago in June when my Pap results came back abnormal. I technically wasn’t even supposed to get a Pap for another year and a half (based on the 3 year guideline for my age at the time - 25), but since I was going to a new doctor I decided to get one anyway. I’ve never had any fear about what the results of my Pap would be - very naive, but I just didn’t think it was common at all to have abnormalities. I was shocked and terrified when I got those results. My results were “Atypical squamous cells, cannot exclude high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion.” I was told I needed a colposcopy and when I made my appointment the quickest they could see me was a month away. I didn’t know how I was going to make it the month without an answer. The day before my appointment my doctor’s office called me and said I needed to reschedule because my doctor was sick, and the next available appointment was another month away. I couldn’t believe it. And then, a few days before the rescheduled appointment my doctor’s office called me AGAIN and said it needed to be rescheduled AGAIN! I didn’t end up getting my first colposcopy until September.
I was terrified to go to my first colposcopy appointment, but I didn’t feel any pain and it was very quick. My doctor seemed hopeful, and said there was only one little spot. Unfortunately, I received the results a few days later which showed CIN-2. Once again, shocked and terrified. My doctor explained I could wait 6 months to see if it regressed or I could proceed with the LEEP. I was terrified to move forward with such an invasive procedure, so I opted to wait the 6 months and receive another colposcopy.
My second colposcopy was in April. I was once again terrified. The procedure went well with no pain and again, my doctor seemed hopeful. I was told if it stayed the same or got better we could continue to monitor it, but if it got worse, I would need a LEEP. I received the results a few days later and it showed CIN-3. These results hit me the hardest out of all of them.
My LEEP took place last Wednesday. I was given the choice to receive local anesthetic or general anesthesia, and I decided I would do it in the doctor’s office awake with the local anesthetic. I had pain free experiences with the colposcopy and I was told I wouldn’t feel anything, so I thought this was the right choice. I took 600mg of ibuprofen before my appointment as instructed, and felt nervous but overall okay. First came the local anesthetic, which I’ve read can be very painful. I din’t feel too much pain, but all of a sudden my legs were involuntarily shaking and I felt an extreme wave of anxiety. Next came the LEEP, which they had to do 3 passes. Each time they did it I felt extreme pain. After the first pass, I was heavy breathing, trying to breathe through the pain and keep myself calm. However, the nurse didn’t seem to like that and told me “You need to calm down! You’re going to make yourself sick! You shouldn’t be feeling anything!” That made me so unbelievably angry because 1. I am breathing heavily because I’m trying to calm myself down and 2. I certainly feel pain. The whole experience felt so barbaric. I truly regret not opting for the general anesthesia.
It took just under a week to receive the results. I felt so defeated after receiving continuous bad news that I had pretty much already accepted the results would be less than ideal. I received the call from my doctor today and the first thing she said was “I have good news.” I cried so many happy tears and felt a sense of relief that I haven’t felt in so long.
Thank you so much to everyone who has shared their experiences here. I felt so alone when I first received my results, but I felt like I had a support system here, hearing from so many women going through the same thing. Much love.

2024.05.15 01:51 AdvisorLevel148 New Senegalese Friend

Hello all. I have some questions about Senegalese Culture. I recently have been talking to a man from Senegal who lives in my complex here in America. Though from different cultures we seem to share the same philosophy on hospitality. Through our broken french and english communication assisted by Google Translate I established that If he ever needs anything that he can come to me and I will assist if I am able. He did. and asked me for a sum of money that i was unable to assist with. He is here and has no job yet but has roommates and community here. I am curious as to whether an inability to assist with this request is understood by him? If i am able to help in that way will he assume he can always ask and I be able to support his request or should I establish a boundary in this regard? I have offered to help in other ways with what I can do as far as opening up my home and pantry to him if he needs, transportation or picking something up from the store while I am out. Is his willingness to continue building a friendship based in whether i help him financially? How do Senegalese few financial assistance. Will it be reciprocated if I ever need to request something?
Also aside from that another thing i find peculiar is when we chat he is very frequently adjusting his crotch area and scratching as if to make it noticeable. And he is also frequently lifting his shirt. Is this just a common male thing to do or is he possibly being suggestive. I am aware that male relationships tend to be more intimate both emotionally and physically on the African Continent and Muslim culture but this gesture seemed interesting.
I know this post sounds ignorant and it is. This is my first experience with senegalese culture and I am learning.
Thanks

2024.05.15 01:49 jollyroger009 Jacob Grey twc9 for $2k now, hold out for Bul, or DS9

After a lot of research I guess its time to get other people’s opinions. Been really itching for a nice 2011 after the tisas won me over and finding a weekly idpa match near me. I’m not trying to win matches. Just looking for a nice 2011 that fits the carry/duty role and I can have fun with at matches.
Started checking the Bul armory website religiously for the last two weeks hoping for a tac to come in stock. It’s starting to get a bit frustrating. I’ve never been know to have much patience when it comes to these things. Also the bul uses proprietary mags and I will have to pay tax on the purchase so brings the cost about even with the Jacob Grey.
Recently learned about the Jacob Grey option. Lots of hate on this gun but most of that comes down to looks and the lack of grip texture. People with first hand experience seem to love it though. Very well built, comes with optics plates, can be found for just over $2k, and shares mags with the tisas.
Third option is cough up the extra grand and get the ds9 hybrid. Personally I would prefer a commander length gun to be able to conceal, but not a huge deal. Also have to pay the extra $150 or so for an optic plate. Gun seems really nice though.
Or get a staccato p?
Any insight would be much appreciated.

2024.05.15 01:49 lostandconfuzzledd Rant about entitled man thinking he knew what was best for me

I (32f) don’t understand why men just feel like they must know better than I, a lowly female. I went to the doctor to deal with an issue. I knew what the problem was since I had to stop taking a med due to dental surgery and now needed to have new drugs to ‘catch up’ and then go back to normal. However I got stuck seeing a male doctor (70+) as opposed to one of my normal female doctors and it was the worst experience. Nurses went through everything with me and had no issues with what I needed and were going to handle it until this guy steps in because he is the doctor. He proceeds to do an entire exam and then tell me that what I want was going to be a bad route. He wanted to me to do an entire procedure because if I was his daughter I’d be doing that. Told me that my way was going to be painful and I’d be home all weekend long completely bedridden. Said procedure was easy and they just put you to sleep handle what is needed and then you go home with your caretaker. Few issues, 1. I was by myself and had no one who I could call to be able to come meet me and drive me home after nor would I want to inconvenience someone with that when I DONT NEED A PROCEDURE and 2. I am terrified of any type of procedure where you are knocked out. I said no, I want to go with my original plan of extra dose of meds here and then be on my way, I had dealt with it before and I could deal with the pain. This doctor laughed at me and said ‘ok we will see if you are saying that when I see you back here in 2 weeks.’ This man had no idea of the medical issues I’ve dealt with nor the trauma I endured the last 2 years of my life. Achy joints weren’t going to kill me. He did finally just give me what I needed but of course explained the instructions for how to take a pill every 4 hours to me 3x. I did spend my Saturday night in bed with some heating pads but honestly the ‘rona shots gave me worse side effects. It just really annoyed me that this man tried to get me to not do what I wanted to do, what I had done in the past when I had issues like this, because he knows the pain a female can handle and this was going to be just too much for little ol me. If it was just to be like, listen what you want is fine but as a medical professional I just want to let you know that I wouldn’t recommend this because a b and c but it’s your choice, I’d have no problem. But the audacity of this 80+ year old man acting like he was my father and knew best for me really pissed me off.

2024.05.15 01:47 imogene_13114 Non-Scientologist (28M) dating a Scientologist (25F) - anyone have experience/advice? Sorry if you saw multiple posts (I'm new to Reddit).

I (M28) am in a 3-year relationship with my partner (F25). Everything about her and our connection/relationship is amazing except for the fact that she is a Scientologist and has indicated that she doesn't see us working out long-term unless I'm able to adopt those beliefs. I've known this about her for nearly all of the relationship and have always supported it because of the positive impact I've seen it have on her life. We share many of the same values and that's really what's important to me.
As nuts as this may sound, I don't really have anything against the beliefs... I'm not very spiritual myself and I'm not going to judge someone for what they believe if the outcome is an amazing person with similar values, etc. With her and her family I have never seen the negative side of Scientology that so many people reference.
Anyways, my hesitation is more along the lines of this becoming a conditional relationship/marriage in the sense that she will only want to be with me if I become a Scientologist. Even if I give it a try and learn more about the beliefs, who's to say that I want to practice it and have it be part of my life indefinitely. What I want is for her to tell me that no matter what she will love me and find a way to make it work but at the same time I do understand where she is coming from and could see potential issues down the road if we both aren't "believers".
For additional context, she is a third generation Scientologist and her family is heavily involved. Grandparents in the Sea Org, family far along the bridge, etc. This is 100% something she is committed to and not something I would want to pull her out of.
My questions is... has anyone been in a relationship like this specifically with Scientology or another cultlike religion and have any advice in how to handle it moving forward? How did things turn our long term for you and what would you have done different?
TLDR: Me (M28) and my partner (F25) have been dating for 3-years and its been amazing. We're ready to take things to the next level but are stuck because she is a Scientologist and doesn't think we will be successful long-term unless I become one. This is giving me hesitation not because of the beliefs but more because she is turning this into a conditional relationship. Looking for similar experiences and advice.

2024.05.15 01:47 wishuponausername Tracking dog farts

I've only been watching slash knowing about the existince of Kenji ('coz youtube via Babish) for about 4 or 5 years now. Holy Hell have I learned a tonne!
I just read the bit on soaked vs. non-soaked black beans on seriouseats.com and damn near lost it at "Turns out that tracking dog farts accurately without specialized equipment is actually quite difficult unless you're willing to get even more down and dirty than I am in the name of good ol' gonzo journalism."
I do think Hunter S. would be proud of Kenji. I also hope Kenji didn't go to Tolstoy to rid himself of the fart joke karma, 'coz in my experience you just end up in a waking coma.

2024.05.15 01:46 Radiant-Picture4709 Special tax regime Belgium

Hi fellow reditters,
I am looking for some information for a friend regarding the special tax regime that is offered to the expats in Belgium as it's quite confusing and doesn't lay out finer details.
My queries: 1. Does it extend to company car allowance, if the company is offering a cash allowance instead of a company car 2. Does it cover on-call premium allowance.
This is my first post ever on any social media so apologies in advance if I am not following the etiquettes and protocols.
I also know people frown upon the special tax regime but I have exhausted my options with Google and am hoping if someone can help.
If someone has benefitted from the regime, please share your experience and learnings.
Thanks in advance.

2024.05.15 01:46 CoDAWUAV Possessed 1988 Yamaha FZR400, a modified engine with a mind of its own

Just a few words to start off with: this will be a pretty long post since I want to be up front with as much detail as possible to avoid vagueness, but I'll try and break it into sections, and put a quick TL;DR at the end, as well as my best guesses for what's going on. I'll also state now that I'm originally a car guy that's worked solely on newer, fuel-injected car engines, so this whole experience of working on an old carbureted motorcycle has presented a lot of new things to me. My apologies if I get anything wrong here or have proceeded with anything under an incorrect assumption. Anyway, a major thank you to anyone that reads this!
- - - - - - Context - - - - - -
In the past month, I took on a restoration and road-legal-ification of my dad's old '88 FZR400 he raced back in the 90s. During its heyday, my dad had done some mods to the engine, of which I can't really remember exactly what off the top of my head; they had at least included intake or exhaust porting, though, and maybe a stroke or bore (? again not sure). Needless to say, upon dyno tuning it back then, it apparently made around the stock brake horsepower, but at the wheel.
After my dad retired due to injuries, picking up car racing, and starting a family, the bike sat for many years, until he fixed it up a bit to be sold in the early 2010s. However, after he found no takers due to many other things going on for us as a family at the time, he eventually let it sit for the past decade. Unfortunately, he didn't run it dry before letting it sit, which according to him, was likely because he assumed he'd continue trying to sell it, so I've spent most of the past 30 days un-gunking the carbs and fuel tank of degraded ethanol and whatnot.
While I can say I've made fairly consistent progress, I've continually hit roadblocks with it, from starting one day to dying off idle the next and such. But, just the other day, I had a massive breakthrough where I got it to start, idle, hit redline, and ride around the lawn up to 2nd gear. Later that same day, though, it began to refuse to idle and consistently died a short few seconds after every start.
- - - - - - A/F Fiddling - - - - - -
I've been a bit confused with the powertrain on this thing since it's seemingly sentient and has a vengeance, as whenever I get it to do something I want it to do, it quickly protests by doing something else undesirable, or even the opposite of what's expected. For example, after cleaning the carbs four times (I'll get to those in a bit), I eventually deduced that the hesitation and sensitivity to rev off idle, as well as its behavior on closed throttle (rev drops) could be due to an A/F mixture issue; so, I messed around with the air screws on each carb:
  1. This is where I became even more confused, though, as the stock (or at least how it was when I received it) 2-turn setting was acting very lean (hanging revs, hesitation to rev, overheated really easily).
  2. Tightening the screws to make a richer mixture seemed to have no effect, even making it act as if it was leaner (revs hanging even more, refuses to start or idle at times).
  3. Backing out the screws to around 2.5 turns out, however, seemed to not even really change the behavior from the "rich" screw setting.
  4. Going back to the original 2-turn setting, the bike began to run great and is the setting that allowed me to take it for a ride on the lawn. Thus, I deduced that despite a cleaning and visual inspection, maybe the screws were just holding some gunk or something in the perfect, hidden place.
Problem solved, then, right? Wrong. Like I said, it refuses to stay running now. Regardless of that fact, though, even when it was able to run, the hesitation to rev off idle was so bad that I could intentionally stall the bike whenever I felt like it just by giving it too much throttle too quickly at idle. It was as if the engine was a glass cannon, working amazingly under the right circumstances, but would fall apart at the blink of an eye if something changed.
At this point, I'm just kind of confused since the various things I've tried have seemed to have no impact or positive change most times, and when I do end up doing something right, it seemingly makes the bike run for a totally different reason or behave in an unintuitive manner. To close, I'll just list some of the things I've tried in an effort to make it work properly.
- - - - - - Carb related changes - - - - - -
- - - - - - Carb unrelated changes - - - - - -
- - - - - - TL;DR (and possible solutions) - - - - - -
Restoration of an old '88 FZR400 set up for track racing that sat with gas in it for a decade or more, but I've run into weird and inconsistent engine behavior surrounding what I believe to be fueling. Sometimes it'll start, sometimes it won't, I've taken it for a ride on the lawn, but it stopped starting later that same day.
Here are some of my thoughts/guesses as to what could be going on:
  1. I suck at cleaning carburetor passageways: the possibility of me taking apart a carb four times and still missing certain things is very real, since it's the first carb I've ever touched. But, from the various successes I've had with it, I can't see why it would somehow randomly get much worse out of nowhere.
  2. Imperfect jet needles: I only used some fine steel wool on the needles in my 2nd carb cleaning in order to not damage or scratch them up too bad. Because of this, they're still, ever so slightly (seriously, barely noticeable), sticky when fully seated. My hope was that they'd polish themselves up as time went on and since a lot of my problems are idle related, I don't think this is the main issue, but could be doing something undesirable, not sure.
  3. Bad-good fuel: I've been using 87 octane in the tank for all my testing purposes up until the lawn test day, where after I noticed the bike starting to want to not start, I went and got some 93 in my can simply because I felt like it. Still refuses to start. I doubt this is the issue, since why would a higher octane perform worse in any situation? However, this makes me think that maybe the fuel filter has just coincidentally gave up at the worst time.
  4. Bad spark plugs: not sure this is really the cause, but just an option since I keep forgetting to buy brand new plugs. But, I have inspected and gapped both sets I have and they seem to be in order.
  5. Valves out of spec: I will be honest, I have intentionally avoided this since I really don't want this to be the problem, but I'm beginning to suspect that maybe the bikes rude awakening after a decade of sleep may have shocked some things out of whack.
  6. Vacuum leak: a lot of people online keep mentioning this on different forums for other bikes, but I can't see where there could actually be one on this specific bike. Still a possibility, though, I just can't see where it might show up.
  7. Desynched carbs: this is definitely something I will be doing just as a maintenance thing soon down the line, but perhaps the idle issues are mainly because of this. Don't know why it's sometimes pretty difficult to rev, though.
  8. Something I haven't thought of: I think there are probably a few things I've left out of here since I've just forgotten them at the current moment, so if any of you can offer any advice or thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

2024.05.15 01:45 SmMilky Word Games

I’ve always had problems with my dyslexia so I learned to stay away from word games. But recently I started playing the word searches on iMessage games (which was hard at first) but I learned to recognize the patterns making it really easy for me to play. A lot of people say I’m lying about my dyslexia since I’ve actually started getting better than others after ALOT of trial and error but I feel that it’s got nothing to do with my dyslexia and everything to do with my ability to recognize patterns. I wanted to know if others had this same experience or if it’s just me? The letters are also very large on the iMessage games so I think that plays a part in it too along with the fact that being dyslexic was a huge problem for my school so I forced my self to learn to read well.

2024.05.15 01:44 poulain_poulain pronunciation questions for words ending in -ille and -eu

Compared to English, where there is more variance with pronunciation (e.g., "rough," "through," "though," "cough" all end in -ough, but sound different), French is said to be much more predictable and stable.
This is largely true, in my experience. But, there are some exceptions. I wonder if anyone can share when certain words may take on one pronunciation or another. In particular, I have questions about -ille and -eu words. (I could only think of -ille and -eu as word endings that have some pronunciation variations, but please feel free to share others.)
For example, with -ille words. "Ville" ends with an L sound, but "fille," "vrille," and "grille" do not.
Another example, with -eu words. "Eu" (as in "j'ai eu") does not rhyme with "peu," "jeu" or "feu."
Is there a grammatical reason behind these differences in pronunciation for the -ille and -eu words? Or, to put it another way, if a native speaker encounters a new word with those endings for the first time, how do they figure out its pronunciation?

2024.05.15 01:44 Neko_998 -A Life Without Cheese-

A Life Without Cheese
In the serene town of Willowbrook, where rolling hills and lush forests painted the landscape, there resided a man named Oliver. He was a figure well-known in the community, not for any grand accomplishments or flamboyant personality, but for his unwavering devotion to cheese. Oliver's love for cheese was legendary, a passion that bordered on obsession. From the pungent blues to the delicate camemberts, he savored each variety with the reverence of a connoisseur.
On a brisk autumn afternoon, Oliver decided to venture into the nearby woods, drawn by the allure of nature's splendor. As he wandered along the winding trails, a glint of movement caught his eye. Nestled amidst a cluster of fallen leaves, he spotted a peculiar creature—a small, tick-like insect with an unusual yellow hue. Intrigued by its uniqueness, Oliver reached out to examine it closer, unaware of the danger lurking within.
With a sudden flash of movement, the creature sank its minuscule fangs into Oliver's flesh, injecting a potent venom into his bloodstream. At first, Oliver felt nothing more than a slight prick, dismissing it as a harmless encounter with nature. However, as the days passed, he began to experience a series of alarming symptoms.
It started with a persistent itching at the site of the bite, followed by a spreading rash that crawled across his skin like wildfire. Soon, his throat grew tight, constricting his ability to breathe, and his body erupted in violent fits of coughing. Panic surged through him as he struggled to comprehend the sudden onslaught of agony.
Rushed to the town's modest hospital, Oliver was met with a flurry of activity as doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to stabilize his rapidly deteriorating condition. Amidst the chaos, one word hung heavy in the air—cheese. Through a series of rigorous tests and examinations, it was revealed that Oliver had developed a severe allergy to cheese, triggered by the venom of the enigmatic creature that had bitten him.
The news struck Oliver like a thunderbolt, shattering his world into a million fragmented pieces. Cheese, once his greatest pleasure, had become his greatest enemy. The thought of indulging in his favorite delicacies now filled him with a profound sense of dread and despair. The cheeses that had once adorned his kitchen shelves now mocked him from their confinement, taunting him with their forbidden allure.
As days turned into weeks, Oliver found himself ensnared in the suffocating grip of depression. His once-vibrant spirit withered like a flower deprived of sunlight, leaving behind only the hollow shell of a man consumed by sorrow. The laughter that had once filled his home now echoed off its walls, a haunting reminder of happier times long since past.
Desperate to escape the torment of his own mind, Oliver withdrew from the world around him, retreating into the solace of solitude. His friends and family, though well-meaning in their efforts to offer support, found themselves powerless in the face of his relentless anguish. Each day became a battle for survival, a relentless struggle against the invisible chains that bound him to his suffering.
Alone in the darkness of his room, Oliver wrestled with his demons, tormented by memories of a life that once brimmed with joy and vitality. He longed to reclaim the simple pleasures that had once brought him so much happiness, but the specter of cheese loomed over him like a shadow, casting a pall of despair over his every waking moment.
And so, on a cold, moonless night, Oliver made a decision that would irrevocably alter the course of his fate. With tears streaming down his face, he fashioned a makeshift noose from a length of frayed rope and ascended to the rafters of his attic. With each step, the weight of his despair bore down upon him, threatening to crush him beneath its unbearable burden.
In the silence of the night, Oliver's life came to a tragic end. His body swung gently from the rafters, a silent testament to the cruel whims of fate. And as the town mourned the loss of their beloved cheese aficionado, they were left to ponder the fragility of cheese and the devastating power of a passion turned sour.

2024.05.15 01:42 mirexs Should I pursue?

hi everyone! i’m a girl still in highschool (sophomore and soon junior) and it’s that time that i should start focusing on a specific field, i really admire and interested in being a nurse practitioner.
i’ve always really wanted to have a job where i would get to talk to and help a lot of people, which is why med seemed good for me.
i wanted to be a dermatologist, but it sounds unachieveable: competitive and the schooling (13 years). then i turned to nurse, but my friends mom is a nurse and advocates for all young people to NOT. she says and i know that it’s very physically and mentally tough and tiring, for little payoff. things like surgeon and doctor look like too much responsibility because i know i wont be able to handle such high stress and it would take a very heavy toll.
nurse practitioner seems to me to be a very fulfilling job (with good hours and patient care!!) while having good pay to support myself.
i wanted to know people’s experiences with being a NP, like how you achieved it, and especially how the job is! if people could share the education and courses they took (like college major) and how their job is?
thank you all so much!

2024.05.15 01:40 Comprehensive_Lab896 Why I crave to become a housewife

From my Fetlife. Prepare for cringefest. Tell me your thoughts about my cringe.
Hello, everyone. I'd like to introduce myself to you.
Ever since I turned 20, I've been dreaming of becoming another woman's housewife (or, as I like to say, a "wifey"), but I've never exactly known how to make it become a reality. I've always been an extremely submissive person and life hasn't treated me very well both for being like that and for trying not to be like that. I score extremely highly in agreeableness and I take great pleasure in serving those I care for. Specifically and preferably, a woman I love and who also loves me. Today, I'm looking for a romantic, ordinary and 100% monogamous relationship with a woman, but one that includes the element of dominance and submission and the possibility of me being her full-time housewife. While she works, I take care of the house. When she comes home, I take care of her. Always very lovingly and completely given to her body and soul as well as to the household's domestic duties. In practice, I want to be the woman in the relationship. I want to go far beyond the basics such as cooking and cleaning: I want to be responsible for doing her nails, her make-up and giving her massages whenever she wants them. I want to learn to cook everything she likes to eat. Maybe even learn gardening to take care of her plants. Perhaps the origin of this is an innate need of mine to be necessary and useful to someone and I guess that is how it is.
Inevitably, I believe this relationship would also include elements of platonic worship. The reason for this is that I have always harboured an adoration for the female figure, the female energy, the female essence and the female appearance. None of this is sexual. In fact, I feel that this element of platonic worship is so strong that I would even feel uncomfortable seeing my dominating partner naked because it would make me feel the same dirty lust for her that I'd feel for porn actresses when I'd watch their movies and I feel that this would be disrespectful to her and to what her image represents to me. This adoration for the female figure is also one of the reasons for my gender transition, which began in September of 2023. I admire the feminine image so much that I want to make it a part of me. I don't like being a man, looking like a man, being treated like a man, behaving like a man and, God fobid, dealing with masculine gender roles. I have an enormous need to feminize my gender expression because that's what makes me happy.
For reasons that are far beyond my control and that may sound cheesy, I always end up seeing women whom I find beautiful to be superior to me. Not in a bad way, but simply in a kind of hierarchy where I'm below them. So, for some reason, I feel fulfilled imagining myself serving them in a completely devoted way. In a way, I can sum myself up as a human Golden Retriever in terms of loyalty, perhaps to pathological levels. Such a level of unexplored and repressed loyalty that I can easily imagine myself getting so deeply involved with the right woman and creating an emotional bond so indestructible that I would go as far as burying a body with her without giving it a second thought. It's as if there were a hurricane inside me waiting for the ideal conditions to form and destroy everything in its path to reach its goal. My goal is domestic servitude within a romantic relationship and this storm inside me will only grow larger and larger over time. I don't see much value in ordinary work as in working for a company. I only see meaning and purpose in domestic work in a relationship for and with a woman I love with great obedience, dedication, submission and gratitude. I don't see myself as a leader, but as someone to be led.
I come from a place where I suffered a lot of verbal abuse directed at my appearance for being too thin and I see that the world today is full of evil people with an evil intent who get off at doing evil things and also of people who omit themselves when they observe evil being done and end up becoming accomplices by omission. All of this makes me really want to put myself in a kind of safe space with someone trustworthy where I don't have to be constantly watching over my shoulder in order to check whether there already are vultures circling me from above waiting for the ideal moment to pounce. I look like an easy victim for predators and I've always attracted them without any difficulty, unfortunately. I am soft and highly sought by them. I want to be able, if only for a few hours, to let my guard down completely knowing that I'm not in danger and that I'm with someone well-intending who, at worst, doesn't wish me harm and, at best, actively cares about my well-being. In other words, a relationship like any other. I very much want and like the idea of giving myself body and soul to a woman who has consideration for me, for whom I have value and who is in charge of the relationship (FLR). As I said, I want to put myself in a situation of total vulnerability in a controlled and safe environment with a person I can trust and who means well. I want to put myself below them in every situation and always put them before myself unconditionally. I want to live under domestic servitude, as well as having a romantic, ordinary, monogamous relationship like any other. If there's no love, there's no point. I can't explain exactly what I feel, but I see this dynamic as the most honest way I can express love to my owner, mistress and friend. This is the rawest and most sincere manifestation of my personality. And please don't get me wrong: I'm not here trying to "cure" myself through BDSM or draw attention to myself by talking about my problems that nobody cares about. I'm just putting all this into context and explaining objective reality as it is, that's all.
I have no idea how I'm going to fulfill this dream and where I'm going to find this woman. I see a lot of profiles here of dommes who are only in it for fetishistic reasons and to make money and that makes me a little sad. But I understand, since a relationship can end up being a very big responsibility and many women don't want this kind of burden in their lives. Not to mention that the temptation of financial gain must be too great for them not to take advantage of. And in an economy like this, I think it will be considerably difficult to find a woman who will want to keep someone at home without generating income just taking care of the household chores. The odds don't seem to be in my favor and the entire setting seems less than ideal.
I feel disgusted by and abhor any fetish scenario that involves the element of being a housewife, maid and the like, especially if it includes elements of humiliation for carrying out such activity. I understand that for some it can be pleasurable, but for me it's despicable. I can't associate being a housewife with something humiliating and if that's your intention with me, don't get in touch. As for sexual activity in general in a relationship, I don't have much to say. Hormone replacement therapy completely obliterated my libido and I see no purpose in any activity that promotes my sexual pleasure. To all intents and purposes, I've become somewhat asexual. I'd accept being penetrated by my domme if she wanted to, since I'd put her wishes before my own, but I feel it's hardly something I'd ask for. I'm much more interested in the emotional side of the relationship than the sexual.
Still on the subject of sexuality, I feel that the word "virgin" isn't accurate enough to describe myself. This word is used to refer to people who have never had sex, which is my case, but I've also never had any other intimate experience with a woman. It's not that I've never had sex, I've never even hugged a woman in bed. I've barely experienced any degree of intimacy with a woman before. I suppose this complete lack of sexual experience will be viewed in a very bad light by the women I seek, but I don't think there's much I can do about it. I have no interest in having these first experiences with, for example, a prostitute because I'm looking for a real emotional connection in a legitimate relationship. I'm a romantic and I have no choice but to wait.
I can't imagine a life in which I allow this dream not to come true. It can't not happen. If it doesn't, I'll have an extremely bitter deathbed full of regrets.
When it comes to the woman I'm looking for, I only have three demands: don't be a drug user (cigarretes included), be a gentle domme and unconditionally monogamous.
My gratitude for you will be eternal and my debt to you unpayable.
I hope the woman I'm looking for is out there waiting to be found.
