2024.05.14 01:57 Immediate_Peanut5096 Red circular raised itchy rash keep appearing on mainly lower extremities only.

I am 23 y/o F, H: 5' 2", W: 145 lbs, Race: South asian, currently living in US.
cc: experiencing red, circular, raised, itchy rash, warm to touch mainly on my legs. REFERENCE PHOTO
These rashes first appeared when I traveled to South Asia last summer. I woke up with chunky rashes all over my thighs and shins. You could see each individual bumps, they didn't all mesh together into one huge mass. They were circular but not perfectly. About 1inch in diameter. I used a very strong steroid to cope with the itching. As the rashes healed, they became blue bruises and then left small dark scars on my legs. It took about 2 wks for them to clear up.
After coming back to US, I had 1 flare up of these rashes about 4 months ago. Same in appearance and healing time as the initial rashes.
1 month, I started getting these rashes out of nowhere again. Same in appearance and healing time. Unlike the last 2 episodes of these rashes, where I would about 10 bumps all at once and they would go away within 2 wks, this time, I keep getting 2-3 new rashes every other day. Right now, I only have this one big rash at the back of my right knee ( SEE HERE ) and 2 small ones on my ankles that are almost done healing. It's extremely itchy and hot. The one behind my knee is SO RED. I have never seen any of these rashes look THIS red so it's kind of scaring me.
Also, noting that most of my rashes have only been on my legs. Except for the current episode that started 1 month ago, I got some on my lower back-upper buttock area and 1 bump on my arm.
Please help me figure out what might be going on. By the time, I manage to get any derm appt, the rashes go away and I always end up consulting the docs on the scars rather than the active episodes.
I do not drink/smoke/do drugs. Don't have any severe food allergies that I know of. I have gotten allergy tested before for ~30 allergens and nothing causes me hives. I haven't been spending time outdoor where I can attribute these rashes to bug bites. I haven't used any new cosmetics or eaten anything new. Nothing foreign in my environment that I can note.

2024.05.14 01:48 Few-Experience-2760 Dreams of astral projection

So this is weird… I have been trying to astral project for a while and came really close a couple of times. But recently, I’ve been having these really vivid dreams of me leaving my body and doing things. While I’m out of body in the dreams it feels super real, yet I’m not in full control of myself. I usually feel like I’m really drowsy and I have to focus hard on accomplishing simple tasks like walking or trying to turn around. But the weirdest part of this was the last dream I had like this. I could see my body on the bed and I was just floating. But while I was floating, something grabbed my leg and began to drag me down. My intuition was telling me that is was trying to take me to some lower vibration place. I was being drug through the ground and it became incredibly dark. After a few seconds of being drug, I mustered up as much strength as I could and yelled for it to stop, but it wouldn’t. So I began flying in the other direction as hard as I could. My leg felt hot from the tension of it pulling me in the other direction and me pulling against it. Since we were at a standstill, i turned and tried to attack it and as soon as i did, it let go and I remember waking up in my body. But once I did, this creature with these tentacles and dark markings on it was seen! And I only caught a glimpse of it because it was trying to escape. It just simply started going down through my bed.. I want to say it was a dream but it felt so real. Anyone have any thoughts about this?

2024.05.14 01:40 No_Handle4672 My xxx story

open, and again I heard a loud moan, and my heart was pounding in my chest. Before this, I was afraid I ruined this girl’s innocence, and now my cock was rock hard with lust and desire to see more. I inch my way to the door and what I see changed my life forever.
Samantha was laying down on her bed, wearing nothing at all, watching a video on her phone (I later found out she was watching the video she took of me). She had her legs spread out, rubbing herself, her fingers damp with her wetness coming from her small but plump, pink pussy. Her moans were soft then loud, then I heard her moaning a name… my name! “Ugh, Sebastian… I need you so bad… MMM… I need your dick… fuck me…”
It didn’t seem like she knew that I was there, but I decided to surprise her, so I undo my belt and fly, and walk into the room. She had her eyes closed so she didn’t see me in her room, as I began stroking all over her. I position myself right over her body, and in that moment she opens her eyes in shock and surprise, but quickly continues her self-indulgence. The lust in her eyes was visible, her switching between staring at my dick and staring into my eyes. Seeing this eleven year old beauty sexually stimulating herself as I am stimulating myself was almost enough to push me over the edge. It took me everything I had to not cum immediately. This little angel was making me think the unholiest thoughts, wanting to ram my cock inside her tight preteen love hole.
Eventually I cannot hold on, as I shoot my love seed (even more than earlier) all over her body, and that also sent her over the edge, screaming and panting as her legs shook uncontrollably. As we both were coming down from our post-orgasm high, I lower myself unto this young girl and kiss her on the lips, and then we started to add a little tongue. My hard never did not lose any of its hardness, and quite frankly it felt like I didn’t need a break to start up again, but at the same time I had just blown two huge loads, so I was probably near wasted. I lowered a hand and started to feel her wetness, which I made sure to cover my hand with it, then I licked it all off my hand. She in turn did the same with my cum, licking and sucking her fingers. We returned to kissing, both our mouths filled with each others cum. After a few minutes, I hear a car arriving, which was my father coming with my mom, who was the cook for the family. I got up and helped her get dressed, and I begged her to not tell anyone what we did. She gave me a devilish grin and said, “I won’t only if you promise to do this with me every time we can”. Then she showed me her phone and said, “If you don’t, I’ll show them this and you’ll be in so much trouble”. I can’t believe I was getting blackmailed by an eleven year old, but it wasn’t hard to accept the offer anyway. This began our life as lovers, even though I was just the butler.

2024.05.14 01:38 CORRUPT01 Really worried please help 😞

I'm using my husbands account as i dont have one.. Okay so I'm a 31 female, for the last 9 months I've had excruciating pain in my lower right abdomen, I feel sick regularly, my tummy sticks out, I've gained weight, I'm extremely tired all the time, like I feel drunk with tiredness and worn out everyday and I'm always stiff in my back and legs...I had some tests done and they said my iron was a little low and wanted to investigate why it keeps dropping..I then told them about this pain last week that I have had for the last 9 months and they did a blood test called CA125 and its come back high, they also said something to do with lympites is high and my inflammation markers are high and my platelets are at 543 which they said is high..they did an ultrasound today and said I have a large complex cyst on my right ovary where I'm having the pain and a cyst on my left ovary..now my doctor even said on paper this doesn't sound good, and said its unlikely that it's cancer but it's possible, I'm so worried with all my tests not being good. I'm having to go for an xray tomorrow and she's arranging an urgent CT scan..I am peeing so much and can't hold it anymore if I have to go I have to go there's no holding it!
I guess I'm asking what were your symptoms of OC? I'm terrified that I've got ovarian cancer, I know I'm young but I know nothing is impossible, my GP told me to try not to worry but she knows I'm going to.

Was this a good trade? More info in body
I was looking to get more Ninjago minifigures by trading duplicates of mine for ones I didn't have. It just so happened that a friend of mine had a ton of minifigures collecting dust wherever she kept them. I asked if she wanted to trade, and she replied that yes, we could.
The first photo is of the minifigures I received from the trade including: 1. Little Nelson 2. A red Vermillion Warrior 3. Hands of Time Lloyd 4. Ultra Violet with the Oni Mask 5. A Stone Warrior with a red straw hat and a chest-plate 6. Movie Kai with hood 7. Day of Departed Cole with his Earth Punch power and a chest-plate.
The second picture is my side of the trade with the ones I gave my friend, including 1. Legacy Jay 2. Lord Ras Season 2 3. Hooded Sora 4. Dragons Rising Zane 5. Dragons Rising Lloyd 6. Wolf Mask Warrior 7. Dragons Rising Kai
Important things to note regarding the quality is that the Minifigures I gave were in mint condition. No arm cracks, stiff head-neck connection, no cracks overall, and pretty much everything that comes with new minifigures. On the other hand, the minifigures I received all had questionable stiffness in the arms, head-neck connection, legs, and more. The Hands of Time Lloyd has a significantly faded face, mainly on the left eye. Nelson’s hood comes off very easily. The Oni Mask of Hatred on Ultra-Violet’s helmet is barely stiff at all.
Some other things, there was no money involved in this, solely seven minifigures for seven minifigures. I gave no minifigures with weapons and neither did my friend.
So, what are your thoughts? Was this a good trade?

2024.05.14 01:12 bukiblu HELP ME WITH JEANS PLEASEEEE

Hello! I'm an interesting body type. I'm a 6ft tall girl, I'm 125lbs, I have a 28" waist, 37" hips, and a 40" inseam. I am ALL legs. I cannot find jeans for the LIFE OF MEEEE. No one sells jeans that are 28x40, or anything near it. The closest thing I've found were $200 27x38 jeans, the waist is a tad tight, the butt is a bit loose, and the jeans aren't long enough to wear over my cowgirl boots, though I can get away with wearing them with my vans. (they still don't touch the floor, but they make it to the sole of the shoe, whereas with the boots they don't even touch the top of the boots). Not only were those jeans wayyyy too expensive for me, but they're still not quite right. I need help really bad, even when I try to order custom jeans, they don't even go up to my inseam. Is it worth it to pay for tailor made? I need a couple jeans, and I don't have a lot of money to spend on them, but I am willing to mildly splurge. I don't think I could pay for multiple tailor made jeans, but I can't have just one pair. Is there a company y'all know about that sells my size? I'm looking for boot cut, ideally tighter around the butt and thighs, and loose enough around the lower half to fit my boots. I'm so desperate y'all, it's not even funny. Please help me.

2024.05.14 01:00 ClipperSmith Want to improve your running technique? Get a jump rope.

Here is an article I recently published on my Substack. If you'd rather read (or listen to an audio version) it outside of Reddit, you can do so here.
Why jump rope isn’t already touted as a leading running drill tool is completely beyond me. But then again…
I'm by no means an "experienced runner"—having started running in 2021 at the age of 34. So, at the time of this writing, about 3 years.
Despite this, I managed to silver-medal my age group in my first race ever.
And it was a 10k. And I was wearing barefoot-shoes.
And I had only been running before that race for about 3 months.
How the heck did I manage to pull this off?
The answer eluded me for a while. Then I remembered—ah, I’ve been jumping rope nearly every day for 2 years.
But how do those connect?
But first, why the heck would some guy start jumping rope at age 32?
About 2 years before I started running, I took up jump rope really just as a fun outdoor hobby.
Even though I was pretty inactive and a bit overweight, that’s not the reason I started skippin’.
One day, I came across some footage of boxer Lulu Hawton doing some jump rope training.
In addition to her seemingly effortless rope handling skills and rhythmic footwork, what caught my eye was a giant grin that spread across her face about 45 seconds into the video. While she was probably skipping to warm up for a match or a training session, something was abundantly clear.
She was having a blast.
And this was from a prize fighter! None of the usual boxer mean-mugging—she looked more like a kid on a carousel.
So, after buying a $10 jump rope on Amazon, I took to the driveway in my swim trunks (yes, I was so inactive, I didn’t own gym shorts).
And…whoo, did I suck.
After a few months of making puddles of sweat in my driveway as well as wheezing sounds so loud that I’m surprised the neighbors didn’t whistle EMS, I eventually got pretty decent at it.
And I lost about 45 pounds in 6 months—probably also from making some lifestyle changes merely to make jump rope less of a slog. Not the original plan, but hey, not too shabby.
After about a year, I found myself constructively critiquing other people’s beginner jump rope videos.
But how did that turn into running?
Though jumping rope is inherently enjoyable, 30-minute skipping sessions of staring at the wall without something in your headphones can be a bit drab.
One fateful day, about 2 years into being student of the jump rope, I began listening to the book Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall.
Even before I got to the end of the book, running—just like jump rope— sounded fun**.**
Yeah, I know that sounds counterintuitive—unless you’ve read the book.
“I knew aerobic exercise was a powerful antidepressant, but I hadn’t realized it could be so profoundly mood stabilizing and — I hate to use the word — meditative. If you don’t have answers to your problems after a four-hour run, you ain’t getting them.”
Ok, ok—I’ll bite.
I proceeded to dive into all of the normal “Couch to 5k” running programs I could find and took my jump rope to a nearby park with a 1k walking path—sprinkling in running between jump rope sessions.
But something wasn’t adding up.
There was a lot of advice about walk-running to build endurance until one could run a block, two blocks, a mile.
Not to brag, but I wasn’t experiencing most beginner snags.
**“Ah, I know why—**I did most of my newbie wind-sucking two years ago!”
This isn’t to say I wasn’t still periodically sucking wind but after two years of consistent boxer skips and double-unders, getting gassed felt like part of the fun and not a medical emergency.
I also felt much springier than the average beginning runner—able to run for miles all over the city in the most minimal of footwear.
And so, I tried my hand at my first race—a donut-themed 10k. And silvered in my age group.
(Ok, there was only two of us…but my time was still respectable. 😂)
Running became an amazingly freeing activity, like getting my driver’s license for my legs.
But I still didn’t understand why running was coming easier to me than the average newcomer.
Digging still deeper, I unearthed another exciting revelation—this time from multi-decade sub-3-hour Boston Marathon runner and one of the foremost running experts on the planet, Dr. Mark Cucuzzella.
“Running with a jump rope is also an amazingly simple drill for posture, balance, and rhythm.”
In other words—form. Overall technique.
Digging a little keeper and experimenting on myself, I discovered just how similar proper running technique and proper jump rope technique were.
Both require:
And so many other commonalities. The list unraveled before me on every run.
And like running, without proper technique, jumping rope just doesn’t work—though the consequences are different.
For a jump roper, due to the lower impact, the risk of injury is quite minimal.
Most newbie rope slingers will report sore calves, slightly tender Achilles tendons, and the odd shin splint if they go full Rocky at it. No need to worry, though—most of these injuries see themselves out as the skipper becomes more experienced.
However, for runners, the injury story is more severe.
The next time you’re at a park with a good path, take a seat on a bench and watch the runners. See if you can spot folks reaching far out in front of them with straightened legs—smashing heels into the pavement.
This style of running results in everything from screaming knees, plantar fasciitis, lower back pain, to hips issues.
But why do all of these occur to new runners, but rarely to new jump ropers?
Most new runners commit a major physiological no-no when they begin their running journey: they treat running like fast, aggressive, airborne walking.
“Well, what is it supposed to be?”
Synchronized jumping.
Simply put, proper running is nothing more than a series of coordinated single leg jumps through space with each landing compressing the springs for the next stride.
To compare this synchronized jumping to the aggressive airborne walking of heel-led running, you can test these in just a few seconds.
Step 1: Stand up.
Step 2: Kick off your shoes.
Step 3: Jump up and down three times.
How did you land?
Probably on your mid-foot, knee bent slightly, with your weight stacked above your pelvis.
And did you use your compressed “leg springs” to launch you into the following two jumps?
Oddly enough, if you were to add a jump rope to this, you would on your way to spinning side swings like Lulu Hawton.
If you were to take this same technique one foot at a time moving forward, you would be running in a way that increases speed, preserves stamina (springs!), and drastically decreases your likelihood of injury.
Let’s try the same test with a few tweaks.
This time, jump, but land on your heels.
Your knees probably remained fairly straight and you felt the impact in your ankles, knees, hips, and possibly even your lower back.
Now, imagine attempting to jump rope this way.
It simply doesn’t work.
Not only would there be no second jump due to the lack of spring but the pain would stop you in your tracks—even in cushioned shoes.
But if jump rope technique and proper running technique are nearly identical, what are aggressive heel landings doing in running?
While a jump roper landing on their heels would resemble Frankenstein’s monster in an express lane to an orthopedist, this is how many people perform the aggressive airborne walk—aka, a heel-striking, over-striding run.
But why do we run this way? Well, our shoes let us get away with it.
Thick heel cushioning and a bit of forward momentum do a great job of masking the pain of repeated blows against every joint up the chain—for a while, anyway. Eventually, the chickens come home to roost in the form of stress fractures, meniscus tears, plantar fasciitis, “runner’s knee,” IT-band syndrome, and more.
Not to brag (and maybe to knock on some wood), I have never experienced any of these injuries in my three years of running.
Is this because I’m some kind of running genius with all of the cheat codes? Haha, I wish! It’s simply sheer luck that I started out with jumping rope before running—an activity that shares the same injury-preventing techniques.
So, are the shoes totally to blame? No.
It is possible to run with proper form in shoes with raised, cushioned heels. But it’s not as easy.
When your heel is totally cushioned, you will be able to run with a heel strike in the same way you can hit your head against a brick wall while wearing a football helmet. And in both instances, it will eventually become less about the forces outside of the foam and more about the forces inside the cushion against each other that do the most damage.
“So, how can getting a jump rope help me become a better runner?”
Jump rope is a tremendous training tool for runners for the same reason why running barefoot can also be helpful—the feedback is immediate.
Though running with inefficient and injurious form is possible, the feedback from doing so isn’t so immediate. When it comes to jumping rope, however, you won’t get through too many skips if you don’t learn to utilize the springs in your legs. The rope doesn’t pull punches.
So, get a rope and get started.
If you’re new to jump rope, I would recommend acquiring two pieces of equipment.
Firstly, find a jump rope with a little bit, but not too much, weight to it. The weight will help you feel the position of the rope during it’s entire rotation and remain in better sync with your wrist spins
My favorite rope for this purpose is a 7mm PVC model called the Hererope, which costs a whopping $15. If you find this to be too thick or heavy, a cheap 5mm PVC model will work as well.
Secondly, to protect your rope and provide a nice jumping surface, I would recommend a large foam-rubber exercise mat. My favorite is a massive 78” mat for $32—which is probably the cheapest jump rope mat you will find.
When it comes to footwear, barefoot is ideal. This will help strengthen and mobilize your feet—including your likely overly-supported neglected arches.
And just how does one begin to jump rope?
Start with short seasons hopping with both feet—maybe 30 seconds on, 30 seconds rest. Aim for minimal muscular activation, instead, using the recoil of your tendons and ligaments for suspension and launch as much as possible.
From jumping with both feet, move onto learning an alternating leg bounce—essentially a jog skip. Right, left, right, left—all while keeping an imaginary belt level with the horizon.
By now, you’re essentially running in place with an extremely efficient technique.
Now, apply your jump rope skills to your running!
This is going to seem quite bizarre, but it is possible (and even beneficial) to take your jump rope for a run.
And there you have it!
You may find it quite helpful to return to this drill once or twice a week. Also if you find your form slipping a bit or becoming slugging mid-run, feel free to skip imaginary rope to try to correct your technique mid-stride. It will restore lightness and springiness to your running.
I still find myself bringing my wrists to my pockets and spinning imaginary jump rope handles if I feel my technique is collapsing a bit or if my running is becoming less springy.
And remember, most importantly—have fun. 👍

US dollar stabilises ahead of Powell, PPI, USD/JPY eyes 157: Asian Open May 14, 2024
The US dollar has regained its footing heading into a Powell speech and US PPI report, whilst USD/JPY looks set to break resistance and head for 157.
By : Matt Simpson, Market Analyst
The US dollar index traded in a tight range during a relatively quiet session on Monday and held above 105 for a second day. This follows on from a small bullish inside week to shows stability has been found after the prior bearish engulfing week temporarily slammed prices below 105.

Traders like binary outcomes as it can provide clarity for expectations and cleaner trends. Yet the pause of the dollar's demise may be attributed to the fact that traders are grappling with higher-for-longer rates alongside hopes of cuts.

Taking NFP as an example, perhaps traders were too quick to price in cuts given job growth is still knocking out 6-figure gains and unemployment remains low by historical standards. Yet inflation expectations are higher, even if confidence is softer. Mixed data calls for a mixed response.

For the wheels to truly fall off of the US dollar, incoming data needs to point to disinflation, not just pockets of weakness here and there. Overall, I believe the US dollar has topped for now and that inflation will eventually behave. But we might see some US dollar upside before its next leg lower materialises.

US dollar index (DXY) technical analysis:

The weekly chart shows a high-volume engulfing week ad three failed attempts to close above 106. Yet the small bullish inside week shows a hesitancy to break immediately lower, and the daily chart shows prices holding above 105. Furthermore, Friday’s NFP bearish engulfing day was on relatively low volume, meaning bears lacked conviction on the day. Therefore, my bias is for the US dollar to pop higher from here and potentially see a false break above Friday’s high, before bearish momentum returns and prices head for at least 104.50, the bullish trendline or Q3 open.

Economic events (times in AEST)

We have two key themes to watch for today, which revolve around the BOE and Fed. UK earnings and employment data could provide some last minute bets for whether the BOE will hint at a June cut at Thursday’s meeting, where hotter figures could diminish expectations of a dovish tone and potentially send GBP/USD higher. We also have a talk from the BOE’s Chief Economist Hew which will include an economic outlook, making it a key event. The attention will then shift to US producer prices, which could set the tone for the key CPI report released tomorrow, or the warm-up act for Jerome Powell’s speech later today.

The rise of USD/JPY is beginning to remind me of every stock-market rally hater miss out on. But like it or now, USD/JPY is rising, even if there is a growing concern the BOJ may intervene once more. But it has got this far, why not one final burst for 157?

A bullish trend is apparent on the 1-hour chart although prices have stalled just beneath monthly pivot point and key swing high (the third prominent leg lower). Perhaps we’ll see markets tease with a break of resistance today, which might provide some less-than-friendly price action and a pullback towards the 20 or 50-bar EMA. At which point dip buyers may be tempted to load up for the real break. But if we see a 1-hour close above resistance, bulls could seek to enter on lower timeframes (seek consolidation patterns) with a view on targeting the high-volume node or 157 handle.

3 pick flex entry but one leg is ruled out before game
I have this flex entry if two legs hit I can still win, but Donovan Mitchell was ruled out before the game. If I land on the two picks will I get paid out at the lower flex or will it get bumped to the “true” odds? Seems unfair to be paid at the lower flex odds

2024.05.14 00:22 GreatJothulhu Microsoft 3D Movie Maker & Project Caligula

Do you remember Microsoft 3D Movie Maker? A free demo of it came with Windows 95. If you really liked it, you could buy the full version on CD-ROM. Basically, you could make your own 3D movies using preset actors, props, and scenes. You could even add your own dialogue & sound effects using the computer's mic. It was such a hit that it developed its own cult fanbase.
A little-known fact is that if you go to the intro page of the talent book and type in “socrates,” you'll find a live-action featurette on the making of 3D Movie Maker, originally known as “Project Socrates" to the developers. It's a pretty fun watch, and I highly recommend it!
What I do not recommend, however, is “Project Caligula.”
I am (very begrudgingly) going to explain the process by which you can access Project Caligula. To start, you must make a movie, choosing Misty City as the scene, and the small café as the camera angle. As a prop, select the sphere, color it red, flatten it all the way, and put it under the left most table. As actors, select S'kelly and Augustin. Change Augustin's outfit to the tuxedo and put him in front of the café door, between the tables. Place S'kelly horizontally at his feet. You can do this using the adjustment tools in the part of the toolbar that is initially covered up.
Next, change the music to “Geist Evil Theme.” Select the Sound effect “Laugh Maniac" and place it on Augustin. Finally, make his action “At Rest" and have him stay like that for EXACTLY 17 frames.
Conclude by clicking “New Movie.” A prompt will ask you if you want to save your movie. Do so and save it as “caligula” (all lower case, no quotes). When the screen comes up, go to “Open Movie" and select caligula. Unlike other movies, whose preview pics are the first frame of the film, the screenshot will be a 3D graphic of the phrase “Welcome To Hell" in the font Bloody (which is not available in the original edition of the game) in front of a black background.
When you open the movie, instead of the preview pic, you will see a blood red background. Again, this is the first of many things you'll see that are not presets of the game. Clicking play will play 21 frames of the screen with an off-key version of Lacrimosa by Mozart playing on piano in the background. The screen will then spiral wipe to the actor Bongo in front of the black background for 13 frames. Then, his skin appears to melt off quite graphically, followed by subsequent layers of muscle, tissue and even organs, until it reaches the skeleton. This skeleton, unlike the default S'kelly, looks eerily... well…
…like it belongs to Bongo.
The shape, lines, and even proportions, are fitted to Bongo's unique build. The music gradually fades, replaced with a crescendo of tortured screams. The skeleton then opens its mouth and says one of the preset lines:
“Those bullies won't bother me now!”
While this IS a line attributed to Bongo, the line is distorted to sound deep and very demonic.
The final thing you see is a text in front of one of the basic backgrounds from the Nickelodeon edition of 3D Movie Maker. The front is hard to read, not only because the color almost completely blends in with the background, but also because it's in a strange font. When translated, it reads:
“Let all those who see this film beware! For whosoever seeks to make it their own shall suffer a fate worse than death.”
I had heard about a member of the 3DMM community who did try to modify the movie, so I found out where he lived to ask him about it. When I got there, the lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed for days, and there was several days worth of mail & papers present. I knocked on the door, but no one answered.
I looked in a nearby window and saw that most of the house was covered in blood, urine, feces, and various entrails. I opened the door only to have the severed torso of the person I was seeking fall towards me. His skin was gone, as were his legs & hips, he was covered in blood, and I thought he was dead.
Until he grabbed my ankle and gasped:
“Why… why won't he let me die?”
“Who,” I asked.
“E… Edgar…”
I called 911 immediately. The doctors made a startling discovery when they examined him: A piece of his brain was missing. According to some psychologists, this part of the brain…
…alerts the body when it dies.
As to the identity of Edgar, according to my research, he was apparently a programmer for Microsoft working on Project Socrates. He was fired for making horrifically graphic movies and later committed suicide. His suicide note read:
“You'll regret this."
I know I did...

2024.05.14 00:15 DarkenRevan Home and relaxing after ACL reconstruction surgery today!

Luckily there was no other damage in my knee. They did a hamstring graft for the repair and I can definitely feel the stiffness and discomfort in my hammy. Feeling pretty groggy (but totally chill) from the meds and am not looking forward to the nerve block wearing off. I’m determined and motivated to start the PT exercises and recover! PT doctor liked where I was pre-surgery with leg strength and flexibility so I hope I can rebound smoothly 🤞

2024.05.13 23:59 capri_gurl F20 I grow upper body way easier than my lower body

I know it’s partly genetics when it comes to what muscles people grow easier. I also know that the legs and glutes consist of larger muscles that may take more time to grow or see results with. I have a slim hourglass shaped body, with legs that are pretty proportional to my upper body (idk if it matters). Is there anybody, specifically females, that can relate but found a way to up the growth of the lower body??

2024.05.13 23:47 putneygal Need help with potential diagnoses for 6 month old

relevant info: nearly 6 mos, female, 15.5lbs, medication is Prevacid 6ml per day. Since my daughter was a few months old, we’ve noticed that she does odd things with her muscles. She seems to have low muscle tone in her chest, does not bear weight on her arms or legs, and has “brisk” reflexes in her legs. She goes from being normal to stiff frequently. She has hit all milestones thus far except for pushing up on arms and sitting using arms to balance. She is extremely bright and i have no concerns about her cognition. She already claps, laughs, smiles, bangs toys together etc. Our pediatrician thought that her movements were concerning so we were referred for more testing. Bloodwork showed slightly elevated creatine but nothing really concerning. All metabolic testing via blood and urine was normal. An MRI was done with non-specific findings. Based on the imaging it is unclear if there is lack of myelination of the anterior limb. All other images looked normal. Can someone tell me what we might be looking at? I’m afraid that my daughter may never walk and am struggling with not having any answers. Another MRI will be done in 3-4 months to see if myelination has progressed since she’s under 2.

2024.05.13 23:33 Breaking_PG I'm on a Journey, Man. Part 3

Season 3
Fukushima entered the second tier of Japanese football, the J2 league, for the first time in their history and they were looking to make their mark where as I was finally moving out of my hotel and into a lovely apartment in Fukushima itself, admittedly, not far from where the hotel was but at least this was mine! And with a new season, brought new faces, AML Jung Ji-Yong came in on a free transfer along with striker Serinsariu Joppu following his release from V-Varen Nagasaki, Kiyotaka Hayashi was an aging CB and Taiki Hirato was reinforcement for the AMR position both on free transfers, the only money spent was Ghanaian striker Clinton Osei, a humoungus £34k from Romanian outfit Marosvasarhelyi, I'll leave the pronunciation of that one to you. Masashi Wada and Naoto Miki went out the door for £220k and £190k respectively. Meaning I had repaired Fukushima's financial issues that I definitely did not not cause and you can't prove it.
The season started as the previous ended with victories over Tochigi SC and Yokohama S Marino's with Yuto Nobe scoring 4 out of our 6 goals so far, we were flying high, riding a wave of confidence and belief, but let me tell you something brother, the walls came crashing down and it hurt both inside and out, we went 6 games without a win, Nobe couldn't hit a barn door with a bazooka and we were falling down the table despite our positive start. Included in this was a 2-2 home draw with Yokohama S Marino's in the YBC Levian cup and we were staring down the barrel of being less than mediocre, that would be fine for a consolidation season right?
We sat and waited for the arrival of Thespa Gunma, at the time top of the table to come put another nail in our coffin and they were on the verge of pulling the dirt over ourselves as we went 2-0 down. Now, I don't know what is in the water of Fukushima (Radiation probably) but Nobe clearly drank more than his fair share as he helped his team mates with 2 assists and himself to 4 goals, leaving us running out 6-2 winners. We continued our exploits in the Levian cup beating Yokohama Marino's 5-3 in the second leg showing that the team were truely starting to believe in my score one more than you philosophy. Klopp fancies himself some Heavy Metal football, this was some kind of crossbreed between heavy metal and Japanese fastidiousness creating a new kind of metal, a BabyMetal if you will.
Following this our form became inconsistent a couple of wins followed by a few losses, very few draws though and continuing through both cup competitions, up next was Grulla Morioka in the YBC Levian cup round of 16. We lost the first leg 2-1 at their place before bringing them back to Toho stadium, where a 3-1 victory pushed us into the quarter finals. Up next would be Tokushima Vortis in the second round of the Emperors Cup but before that, something happened.
J1 side Kyoto Sanga were struggling in the league above us, in the relegation zone and having sacked their long standing manager Sang-Hyun Kim were willing to take a chance on a young(ish) Englishman who'd proven himself in the lower leagues of Japanese football and on the grill of McDonald's. An interview was offered and, of course, I attended, as stated in part 2, my skin was turning purple already.
Clearly, my potential defection affected the players as we were knocked out of the Emperors cup by Tokushima in a 2-1 loss for us. The next day, I was offered the job at Kyoto Sanga. I said my farewells, packed my bags, and hopped on the first high-speed train to Kyoto.
I'd only just unpacked.....

2024.05.13 23:28 JeT442 Fork Lower Service Flub??

Was attempting to service my lowers, as I’ve done in the past (Fox 34, Fit 4). As I took the lower legs off, not only did suspension oil come out but also a bunch of red fluid from the dampener side. I assume this is dampener fluid and, at this point needs to be rebuilt?
My question: what would have caused that to happen?
Thanks!

2024.05.13 23:26 jrichar Singlet underwear recommendation with flat seams

Hey guys. I am having trouble finding quality underwear to wear underneath my singlet. Most people recommend compression shorts but compression shorts always stick out lower than the legs of the singlet which I think is a terrible look. There are some compression shorts that are super short but you can see the ring imprint around the quads below the singlet. I have also tried boxer briefs but they all have very thick seams that leave very visible imprints.
I am looking for a pair of briefs with extremely flat seams that are essentially invisible under the singlet.

2024.05.13 23:25 VaellusEvellian Can a perforated appendectomy site drain into the right leg?

My partner (23F) had a laparoscopic appendectomy 2 months ago following intense stabbing pain in the lower right abdomen. The pathology report said that she had "acute appendicitis and periappendicitis". No problems were present during a post-op appointment a month after the surgery. Recently, she has started experiencing a stabbing pain in the exact location where her appendix was that she says is identical to the feeling she had prior to her surgery. We went to the emergency room and she had a CT scan and her blood drawn. According to the radiologist, nothing appeared out of the ordinary, but she had a very high white blood cell and platelet count. She was discharged with instructions to come back if it got worse.
It's been a week, and she is still experiencing pain at the surgery site, and her right thigh has swelled up a little bit and is painful to stand on. She has also experienced nausea and has swollen lymph nodes. We have tried calling the office of the surgeon who performed the surgery, but we have been turned away two times by the surgeon's nurse, who says that they cannot do anything because my partner "does not have an appendix". Presently, I am worried about a potential for a stump appendicitis, or at the very least a perforation of the appendix stump which may be draining into her right leg. Since stump appendicitis is so rare, I think that the nurse doesn't know it's a thing can even happen.
My partner is hesitant to head back to the emergency room as she is worried that they will just tell her to go home again.
My question is this: does this sound serious, and if so, who do we turn to given that this same nurse has turned us away twice now?
Patient Information:
Age: 23
Sex: F
Height: 5' 6''
Weight: 240 lb
Race: Mixed
Existing Medical Issues: Polycystic ovarian Syndrome (currently being treated with medications below)
Medications: Vraylar 3mg per day, spironolactone 200mg per day, Metformin 1000mg per day (She hasn't been taking the metformin recently).
She drinks occasionally, smokes rarely.

2024.05.13 23:24 milki01000 should I go to a different ER?

22f. 150lbs 5’4 medications: lexapro. the last 3 weeks have been hell to say the least. it started out with joint aches in my lower legs, then went to a back ache and turned into hot flashes and dizziness. I thought i was coming down with something but i went to the er (april 19th) 4 days after it all started and got a flu and covid test. as well as urine and blood tests. everything came back normal including kidneys, wbc, and liver. i got out of the er in two hours and was given tylenol. my aches continued and i went to my doctor the following tuesday. (april 23rd) and i explained everything going on, ive been completely stressed out about something else so maybe thats what caused all of this. i tend to vape more when im stressed out and was told im going through a nicotine overdose. i was then put on lexapro and given anti nausea meds for the dizziness. ever since that day i have not been dizzy. magically disappeared. i started to feel better a couple days after, however the past week ive been having pains in my entire body. i can mostly feel it when im laying down. my left side hurts and my lower back feels like something is pressing on it. ive been having diarrhea, tingling feet and hands, all over body aches, muscle spasms. when i lay down it feels like something is moving around on my sides and they tingle. my body aches are on my shoulders, lower legs, wrists, knees, feet, fingers, breasts occasionally. its mainly when im laying down, if im walking around or standing i feel nothing basically. i have an appetite, im not more tired than normal, not losing weight, no fever. nothing is swollen but i cant tell if its bone or joint pain at this point. i dont know what to do. im convinced i have the c word. im afraid im slowly dying, my anxiety is to the max. do i book a sooner appointment with my doctor? or go to a different er? i have another doctors appt in june and get a blood test a week before. do i wait?

2024.05.13 23:23 AcademicTheme3896 Worried About My Hormone Therapy as a Previous Late Bloomer

I'm turning 21 in a week or so and have been on intramuscular HTR for a year and 6 months, but almost NOTHING has changed. The only things I've seen have been more leg hair, some hairline changes, a tiny frail barely dark line of hairs on my stomach and acne. My voice hasn't deepened unless I force a lower pitch on purpose and even then it's not much (I still get ma'amed on the phone), and my doctor has me on the highest dose able to prescribe. I started on small amounts and went up, so the dosage isn't the problem. In fact my levels were too high so she put me on a lower dose, but that's recently. So it shouldn't be the issue either- it's been from the begining.
Let me clarify that my original puberty didn't really end until I reached 18 and I started normally around 10. It took 9 years where the normal range is 6. I also didn't get curves until 18. Idk if there is something wrong me, as there hasn't been any function issue or need to see a endocrinologist, but I'm really worried I won't have any effects on T.
I'm scared that it just won't work or take the same amount of time as my first. Being on T for 3 or 4 years and just then getting basic milestones down makes me feel hopeless and depressed. I already can barely enjoy living around others and being myself so I'm a little frazzled.
Thanks if anyone has any info or similar situations. I've searched this problem for hours and nothing seems to match lol.
