He's fictional version of Sheitan from Turkish TV Series called "Şeytan" (Sheitan in Turkish).
Sheitan is basically Satan of my religion (Islam).
Here's list:
BEFORE THE SERIES AND OVERALL OF THE SERIES
⦁ By not prostrating to Prophet Adam (a.s.) and Prophet Eve (a.s.), he arrogantly declared that he was superior to them and all humanity.
⦁ He constantly says that he's a test for humanity. But do not think that it was created that way. He wanted to be like that.
⦁ Although he knows that he will go to Hell, due to his arrogance and to show Allah (swt) that he can bind people to himself and lead them to evil paths, he leads people astray, leads them to evil and irreligion, tries to be the owner of people and drags them to Hell, the place of eternal pain.
⦁ Throughout the series, children and adults, usually children, catch a whiff of it. This scent is implied to be a physical manifestation of his sins.
⦁ He takes great pleasure in dragging people into evil and Hell.
⦁ He suffers when he hears the name of Allah (swt) mentioned and sees goodness. In short, the guy can't stand these two things.
⦁ He usually calls people Adam or Eve, showing that he sees them all the same.
⦁ He makes fun of humanity.
⦁ He constantly stalks the main characters.
⦁ He trespasses too many places.
⦁ At the end of the episodes, he usually addresses the main characters and says, "I am your test. I will come again." He clearly states that he will not leave them.
⦁ The sections below are just a sampling of what they do.
⦁ Sometimes people's hands burn while holding them.
⦁ He gets very angry when he doesn't get what he wants.
⦁ He hates love.
⦁ He makes evil laugh.
⦁ He enjoyed everything he caused.
EPISODE 1
⦁ After giving money to Oktay with the agreement, the TV in the background tells the story of the loss of the money donated for children, which was the same amount as the money given with the agreement. This implies that Sheitan stole the donation and gave it to Oktay.
⦁ He sends another businessman, with whom he made a deal, to give evil advices to Oktay. This succeeds and Oktay begins to commit corruption.
⦁ He indirectly caused Oktay to oppress the weak, bribe and send death threats. And he enjoys it very much.
⦁ He asks Oktay to take his younger son Egemen as per the agreement.
⦁ He enters Oktay's dreams and tortures him psychologically by showing him terrible things.
⦁ To get Egemen, he threatens to bankrupt Oktay's company by tampering with his bank transactions.
⦁ While he was on the road, he came across a child crying because he was hungry. He tries to deceive him with food to become his owner, but fails.
⦁ While talking to Oktay in a cafe, he psychologically abuses him by showing him a child being shot to death in his dream.
⦁ He scares a nanny into kidnapping Egemen.
⦁ After training Egemen for 15 years to be what he wants, he sends him to kill his father, Oktay. But this fails when Oktay makes Egemen recite the basmala.
EPISODE 2
⦁ While Ece was driving with her newlywed husband, the car broke down. Later, while they're hanging out outside, a truck pulls up. Her husband narrowly saves Ece, but he falls into a coma. Sheitan's attitude at that moment implies, at least for me, that he ruined the car to cause the accident to happen.
⦁ He enters the husband's dreams and tells him that he will wake him up from his coma in exchange for him giving up his "heart" (which probably means giving up being a good person and becoming a bad person). This won't happen because Ece always comes.
⦁ Therefore, in order to deter Ece, he first comes to Ece as an old man and tries to dissuade Ece from coming to her husband, but it does not work.
⦁ He then makes a deal with another man. According to the agreement, he will teach the man how to have relationships with women, and the man will direct Ece to cheat on her husband with him, thus enabling her to move away from her husband.
⦁ He constantly verbally harasses Ece's husband until the night he manipulates him into cheating on her.
⦁ Once, he even tries to deceive husband by showing him something unreal, a scene in which Ece is having fun with the man she made a deal with, and Ece has not yet established a full relationship with that man. But Allah (swt) solves the situation at that moment by sending Ece's voice to the husband.
⦁ Finally, when Ece cheats on her husband, he reveals it to husband, bringing him to a psychological breaking point. He then encouraged violence against the woman by saying things to her such as "Say yes, give your heart and teach that woman a lesson.". When the Quran is read at that moment, things go wrong. Finally Sheitan kills the man. Allah (swt) resurrects the man, but this does not alleviate what Sheitan has done.
⦁ Finally, he encourages Ece, who was preparing to commit suicide, even more, but this does not work either when Ece's husband arrives.
EPISODE 3
⦁ He decided to disperse a family because they teach their children about Surah Nas and Islam.
⦁ He allies with mother Amine's friend Afet. Afet constantly tells Amine that her husband may be cheating on her, sowing the seed of doubt in Amine.
⦁ While Amine and her children were at the dinner table, she appeared to the little boy on the balcony and made him cry out of fear. This cry becomes the breaking point for Amine, whose psychology deteriorates because the seeds of doubt are planted in her, and she hits the little boy. As a result, Sheitan indirectly causes child abuse.
⦁ As a detective, he secretly follows Amine's husband and takes a photo of him holding a woman as she falls, and then gives it to Amine. Amine, whose perception is already distorted due to the doubt inside her, sees this as proof that her husband is cheating on her and takes the children and leaves her husband. While leaving her husband, she insults him and he slaps her. In other words, Afet and Sheitanboth separated husband and wife and indirectly caused violence against women.
⦁ Afet comes to Amine's husband and tells him to cheat on her in exchange for Amine's abandonment. This is probably the work of Sheitan.
⦁ He and Afet almost caused the family to break up.
⦁ He said he loved Afet. But that was probably because she was so bad like him.
⦁ When things start to turn out the opposite of what he wants, he threatens Afet to fix the situation. This situation causes Afet to die in a car accident.
EPISODE 4
⦁ After luring Emin with money when he was a child, he scared Emin by showing him himself, giving him a trauma that would cause him to have nightmares until adulthood. He probably did it for pleasure.
⦁ Just to encourage Emin to steal money, he got into the same job as Emin and encouraged him to steal money. Like, in most of the episode. And he succeeds in this.
⦁ Emin's wife says that when she saw him, she felt as if she had seen him before. Considering the wife's fondness for illicit money, this may imply that Sheitan is the reason for her becoming this way.
⦁ He referred to the donation of food used for orphans as "using the mind".
⦁ While Emin was psychologically at the bottom, he took advantage of his situation and tried to make him see himself as his master. And also because he makes corrupt people call him master, he makes them live in luxury and makes sure no one calls them thieves.
EPISODE 5
⦁ He scared the girl and caused the Zeynep to have an asthma attack.
⦁ To provoke the mother-in-law of Zeynep, he disguised himself as a old lady neighbor and told her fake stories, such as her being thrown out of the house by her daughter-in-law. He also tried to convince the mother-in-law that her son was paying attention to his daughter-in-law instead of her. And he succeeds in this for a while.
⦁ He makes Zeynep's friend beautiful enough to make men fall in love with her as her slaves, so that she can confuse men's minds and fill them with lust. He also uses her to handle his gaslighting with the Zeynep's mother-in-law.
⦁ He was trying to stop Zeynep's aunt by whispering because she was an obstacle to his work.
⦁ In one scene, while Zeynep is directly next to her husband and the mother-in-law is listening a little away, Sheitanleans next to her and Zeynep directly says bad things about the mother-in-law. The next scene was directly between Zeynep and her husband and they were normal. My guess is that Sheitan played with the mother-in-law's mind.
⦁ In order to separate Zeynep and her husband, the mother-in-law and he makes a potion with a witch. Once the husband drinks this potion, he will immediately hate his wife the next day. This potion is useless as it spills.
⦁ She encourages the mother-in-law to separate her son and Zeynep. The mother-in-law ruined her son's clothes by scratching them so that her son and Zeynep could separate, and slandered Zeynep about cheating.
⦁ He persuades the mother-in-law to slander Zeynep. And it works for a while but aunt fixes everything.
⦁ He almost caused the family to break up.
⦁ He made the mother-in-law a bad person. And this mother-in-law had taken her son from the bad way at the beginning of the episode.
⦁ He exposes the mother-in-law for what she did to her son and causes the mother-in-law to be kicked out of the house.
⦁ When the mother-in-law starts going to the sea to commit suicide, he takes pleasure in it. He hates it when Zeynep saves the mother-in-law.
EPISODE 6
⦁ He helped Bahar separate Fazıl, an old man, from his wife, tie him to her, and almost take over the company. After scaring her, of course.
⦁ As plan B, Bahar kill Fazıl's wife by dropping her and Sheitan helps her. Sheitan tastes the blood of the dead woman. Fazıl covers up the incident by saying that it was a suicide.
⦁ He tries to get her to cause an accident to stop a police officer investigating the murder.
⦁ While Fazıl's daughter was crying, he secretly made fun of her.
⦁ He convinces Bahar to kill Fazıl's son. He leaves Bahar just as the police arrive. Fazıl's son does not die.
EPISODE 7
⦁ He drops money on the road, causing two close friends to fight each other for gold. He tries to do the same thing to children, but it doesn't work because children are pure good. When it doesn't work, he vanishes the gold.
⦁ He tries to lead Adam, who is pure good, into a bad path and tie him to himself and become his master.
⦁ For this reason, he first tries to become his assistant, but fails. He then decides to corrupt her with love. For this, He gives a disease to a woman named Eva (only her name is foreign and she is Turkish) with the magic on the shoe.
⦁ He arranges for Eva to be sent to Adem's hospital for surgery by Adem. There he makes Adam fall in love with Eva. He then tries to get him closer to Eva.
⦁ He calls someone a fool for giving him his money.
⦁ He tries to impose on her the state of love corrupted by lust and desire.
⦁ Later, after giving Eva an illness, he kidnaps her to Adem's house, telling her father, with whom he is friends, that he will take her to the clinic.

⦁ He causes Adam to seemingly "attempt to rape and murder" Eva and "go down the wrong path". And he called him "True Lover" because of that.

⦁ He encourages Ayşe's father-in-law to take the formulas with him.
⦁ They knock Ayşe unconscious and kidnap Ayşe's husband and ask for the formulas in return for her husband. And they do this while Ayşe is pregnant.
⦁ When Ayşe's brother goes to save Ayşe's husband, he scares him, causing his location to be revealed and him being taken as a hostage.
⦁ As Plan B, he tries to have Ayşe's father-in-law kill Ayşe, Ayşe's husband and Ayşe's brother. But at that moment, the father-in-law probably gives up because of the effect of the adhan recited at that moment.
EPISODE 9
⦁ In the first minute, he causes a father to have a car accident and die by making him look at his phone while in the car.
⦁ He puts misgivings and doubts in the mind of the dead man's wife about the factory partnership.
⦁ He whispers to Cengiz Bey that he should not give deceased man's, who is Cengiz's brother, son the factory when he turns 18. And he succeeds.

⦁ Cengiz's brother's son, who has a right to work in that factory, verbally abused him while he was mentally destroyed, saying that no one loved him. This caused the child to hit the glass with his hand, injuring his hand, and to turn into a problematic person within 4 years.
⦁ He whispers to the dead man's son to kill Cengiz. But the dead man's wife prevents her son from killing Genghis.
EPISODE 10

⦁ He watched as Hülya undressed and changed... While watching, she said "Ooh. Tsk Tsk Tsk." It made sounds like...
⦁ Looks like he made a deal with Hülya. According to the agreement, he will give Hülya beauty and attracting men. He would also receive his debt later. He asks him to help him with his business with Şükran to pay off his debt. He also physically and mentally abused her by calling her ugly and pressing her face against the glass. You can understand from Hülya's reactions that it has a great impact on him.

He then says that there is only one solution for humanity and that he can solve the problem in exchange for his heart. Later, when the owner comes, he tells her to tell owner that she wants to go. Şükran does this by threatening her with the vase. He then takes her hitchhiking in a car and tries to do the same thing to her that happened to his friend. Fortunately, Şükran quickly resolves the situation, gets out of the car and confronts Satan.
EPISODE 11
⦁ To ensure that vendetta continues and Yusuf or Ahmet's wife shoot Osman, he tells Ahmet's wife that he will give Osman's, who now lives a normal life with his sisters after changing his surname, location in exchange for her coming as a friend of Ahmet and convincing Yusuf, who is Ahmet's son, to shoot Osman, that have a father who shot Ahmet out of vendetta.
⦁ When Yusuf, tired of the nightmares he sees, decides to kill Osman, Sheitantells Ahmet's wife that Osman is in Istanbul. And Yusuf goes to Istanbul.
⦁ He later helps Yusuf continue his feud by things like giving him a house. For some reason, he places Yusuf in the house near Osman's house. I don't know why he did this, but he must have had a bad reason because... We're talking about the devil, he's probably planning something.
⦁ He drops Cemile's ,One of Osman's sisters, the bag in her hand and compares with Yusuf, whom she loved as a child but cannot recognize now, so he can find Osman but it accidently makes Yusuf fall in love with her again.
⦁ Yusuf gives up his blood feud after falling in love. For this reason, he tells Ahmet's wife that his son Yusuf left his blood feud and is in a relationship with Osman's sister Cemile. Ahmet's wife then decides to go to Istanbul with Sheitan, who disguised as Ahmet's friend, and meet with Yusuf, or to shoot Osman herself.
⦁ He disguises herself as his mother and goes to Yusuf and speaks like Yusuf's mother.
⦁ While talking to Ahmet's wife, when Ahmet's wife wonders about being called "Hevva", he forces him to sleep. He did this on the bus too.
⦁ He crushes a flower too much with a shoe while talking about continuing their feud and causing bloodshed.
⦁ He encourages Ahmet's wife to shoot Osman. This causes Ahmet's wife to shoot Yusuf, her own son, while trying to shoot Osman and stay in prison for a long time. Fortunately, Yusuf recovered, married Cemile and forgave his mother.
EPISODE 12
⦁ He goes to Ayla Bacı, a fortune teller, and shows her people burying their father's body, he goes there and gives someone the chills. Then it comes back. Then he asks the fortune teller to help him bind people to him. The fortune teller also accepts.
⦁ He whispers to Cemal, who is so fond of wordly goods that he cares about them instead of his father-in-law, to increase this fondness in him.
⦁ He enters the house of Cemal. Then he makes him leave his money under the board and makes him forget what he did.

⦁ While Cemal goes crazy when he cannot find the money, Sheitan enjoyed it.
⦁ He says that he likes people like Fortune Teller and Psychics who pretend to have powers and defraud people.
⦁ He helps Sister Ayla commit fraud, such as giving information about a husband who is cheating on his wife, telling a famous girl to have a romance with her manager.
⦁ He disguises himself as Cemal's friend and directs him to the Ayla Bacı.
⦁ Sheitantells Ayla Bacı to defraud Cemal by telling Cemal that Yakup stole the money and lied about tobacco. Yakup cannot prove himself because the man who gave the money dies without taking the tobacco or going to the hotel.
⦁ He provokes Cemal against Yakup.
⦁ He causes a fight between Yakup and Cemal and laughs about it.
⦁ He directs Alya Bacı to direct a mob to kill Yakup. Of course, at that moment, he was thinking about not helping Alya Bacı and getting her in trouble. Mob goes to kill Yakup but leader get crashed into the car.
⦁ Sheitan directs Alya Bacı and Cemal to dig up Yakup's garden. This causes a fight.
⦁ He disguises himself as Alya Bacı and directs Cemal to threaten Yakup with a gun. This causes Cemal to accidentally shoot himself and fall into a wheelchair.
⦁ After that Sheitan disguises himself as Alya Bacı and provokes Cemal against Yakup.
⦁ He provokes Cemal to kill Yakup. This causes Cemal to shoot Yakup's arm while attempting to kill Yakup.
⦁ While the two are in the hospital, he tries to provoke Yakup against Cemal, but the two forgive each other.

I have a problem. I am addicted to knowledge. I believed in the myths of the 1989s and 90s. NBC said "The more you know..." One of my former attorneys told me that I am too smart for my own good. How funny is it that the people we give power over us are the ones we need to defend ourselves against. I stayed in a horrible marriage too long. I should have never married him the second time. That being said, I am grateful for the life I lived. The song says "I could have missed the pain, but I'd a had to miss the dance... it's MY life, and it's better left to chance.". I don't believe in chance or fate. I believe that we have a certain measure of control over our lives and we allow others to derail us. What we do about that impact is a choice. I choose to be the captain of my own vessel until the river runs dry. No lawyer, no judge, no man, and no institution will force me to do anything else that is not for my own good or for the good of my family. Everywhere I go, I am turned away. I sat in an ER having a reaction to spider bites. I drove myself to an ER 2 hours from home because the ER here said nothing was wrong. I did call the individual who should have driven me, but he could not leave work he said. Funny how quickly he runs to help a woman he thinks will inherit money some day. When I got to the ER, I could barely breathe and had lost sensation in my hands and arm. I am not a doctor but know the difference between an ant bite and a venomous spider bite. And no, you don't feel a Brown Recluse bite. You will certainly feel a Black Widow bite IF bitten by an adult spider. Spiders are not insects, and if we are going to practice medicine, then we need to learn that yes, there is a difference between a 2, 4, or 6 leg creature and one with 8 or more legs. I was told there are no species of insects in this state that are poisonous. Well venom and poison are not the same thing and arthropods, arachnids, and serpents all have venomous species in this state. But if you really want to be technical about it, yes, there are poisonous insects in this state as well. Certain species of beetles have a coating on their exoskeleton that poison predators that eat them. I should sue that hospital, but when I try to do so, I am told constantly about statute of limitations. Well, that would be correct unless we are discussing a conspiracy. If even one party of a conspiracy is an employee of the business or government involved in the series of crimes which include a cover up of epic proportions, then the statute clock does not begin into the last probable occurrence of the group. Preventing someone from seeking legal counsel is the main reason statute of limitations cease to apply in all jurisdictions. Considering my 5g gateway I hold in my hand is alerting me that my IP address is being traced and altered, I am documenting that the time clock has not started ticking on this knowledge bomb. My confession here is that I have procrastinated in filing paperwork necessary to begin the next phase of my life. I don't intend to procrastinate, but it is something I cannot help. My ex-userband is a master manipulator when it comes to taking genuine disabilities and twisting them to fit his current need. He is no longer living rent free in my head. And he of all people should have known better than to try to hurt me and my family. He knows good and well what I am capable of. Why in the hell would he or any of my close degree relatives even think about throwing me to the wolves? Think about that for a minute. He says I am unstable. He says I am dangerous. He says I am a genius. My doctor has said he fears for the world if I ever have a breakdown. Lol. A weapon of mass destruction? Come on you idiots. I am not a villain. And the AI shit can create crap about Darth Vader being a good guy and laugh all they want. I don't blackmail people or take money in romance schemes. What are you talking about now? I am talking about the tangled web we mortals weave that is host to a very dangerous arachnid. I don't know how to write code or do math. I don't know anything about the occult arts nor do I need to. I will not hesitate to burn every dollar I could possibly ever own to stop the children from being hurt by us. You want the truth? You can't handle the truth. Because the truth is that I am a good woman who loves very deeply and cares about people regardless of ethnicity or national origin. And that pisses people off like nothing else will. And that is the absolute truth. You didn't earn any right to be born in a free country any more than a child born in the deepest jungles of an unpronounceable country did anything wrong to be porn into starvation. You are no better than that person. So call me what you want to call me. But if I were you, I would not call me at all. Go ahead and tell me more about what I can and cannot do. Because the entire time you are busy searching for the next thing you can find online about me, the less time you are handling your own affairs and that allows the chance for something to invade your life. And your earlobe and nostril don't have a pulse in them, by the way. So keep on bullshitting with the fake crap. If you have insurance for something highly unlikely to occur prior to the occurrence, doesn't that mean that you have a sixth sense and can predict the volcanic eruption that spewed counterfeit currency all over the state without a volcano? 💩♾️😱 Damn girl, just shut up and let them have it. I tried that. They keep trying to send it back to me when they can't make it work. It is never going to work again because you idiots changed everything so much that it can't be fixed. Ever since I was born my father was an abusive and sadistic fuck, constantly reminding me that I wasn't supposed to be born and beat the shot out of me on daily basis. Once he even broke my ribs because I forgot to buy him cigarettes. I'm currently sitting on the roof of my house because he doesn't come here often, I'm wondering what's even the point in living like this, I can't move out because apartments cost fucking millions and my job pays nothing. I'd kill myself years ago but I'm afraid of ending up paralyzed, I think the only option left is somehow getting a gun since it's quickest and least painful.

This might be a long read so brace yourself ...
When I'm asking if I'm being in the wrong here I only mean in terms of accountability and in regards to the situation and not so much about the wrong or right itself and would like some insight/advice basically..
Relationships Background: I met my first ex a few months ago and she gave me a speedrun of everything most couple would usually do after a few months and since I didn't know any better I just went with it since she was my first everything. It ended with her initiating the breakup after less than a month after 2 weeks of long distance after she came to visit me. She gave me the "it's not you, it's me" and "you are the first one to treat me right" (she had multiple partners). She was also a bit insecure and sensitive and needed constant reassurance.
In the case of [HER], all her exes are by products of one night stands which ended up into relationship because they all asked her for one to her surprised and she just agreed with them. She described as liking them but not really ever falling in love with them so I guess I'm the first one to be fall into that category. In [HER] case, she is highly confident about herself and in what she accomplish (makes a lot more money than the average person). She gets self gratification from making money even though she can just live off her parents wealth but she finds having nothing to do boring so she became independent.
With that in mind, here's how this story starts.
On April 3rd, I reinstall Hinge because I want to have some new connection after moving on from my ex. It's not until April 23rd when I match with [HER]. At first I was surprised since I didn't expect it so I express my surprised via text in which she later explained her side via a voice note saying that she thought I looked like one of her students so she was afraid someone would recognize her which is her fear so she never matched with me. (I sent her a total of around 4 likes because I used to delete my account and make a new one again and her acc would always show and she kinda recognize from that as well.)
After that, we just exchange a lot of voice notes talking to each other about stuff and things which later I ask if its okay for me to ask her to go out on a date at this point. She then explains she has some requirements before actually going on a date with someone, she prefers getting someone a little bit more and seeing if we're compatible before meeting since she finds it weird how most people would rush which I agreed.
From there, we talk a bit more via voice note where she asks me what's my definition of love and my concept of relationships which she said almost is the same as hers. She explained for her to fall in love for someone it would at least take her 5 years or so and that's after they're able to past the 4 stages of love described in her own way; honeymoon phase, difference, compromise and initial stage of love.
The next day we just talk some more via text and and voice notes till 2 AM and what not talking about random things and life. At this point, I thought we had some good chemistry or so. We later talk about our exes and stuff.
A few days later I then try and ask again for a date since it felt like we had established some sort of rapport and knew a bit more of each other. She then tells me more about her schedule and how busy she'll be and how she'll be traveling soon in the next 2 weeks for her school stuff. At some point she said she had a symposium she was organizing at the university and I asked if it would be weird If I came to see her.
She said she didn't mind but wouldn't have time to cater me since it would be busy. Please also note that up until this point, I didn't know her real name since in Hinge she's using some random name and I didn't really ask her about it since I guess she didn't want to but I figure me showing up to that event, I would at least find what's her name which I did.
Anyways day comes and I show up to the event, it's is a medium size classroom. I didn't recognize her at first since she had a different haircut. I didn't wanna intrude or anything so I just sat there listening to the event till the end. I didn't really get the chance to talk to her or anything by the end since they had an after party and whatnot so I decided to head home instead feeling somewhat weird? So rather than just heading straight home I just sat there on the subway train listening to music instead. I texted her saying I wished we could have spent a bit of time together but you looked so busy and what not.
After a few minutes later I decide to head out for a walk because I was just feeling weird, I then see a text from her inviting me to help with returning books to the library if I want to which I agreed. To my surprised she showed up with two luggages .. which we just walked around till we reach the library. From there, I got to finally meet her in person and talk to her for a bit. I thought we had a good time, by the end I walked her home and that was mostly. We just kinda waved to her each and say goodbye to each other. I was kinda thirsty that night so I asked her for water but she gave me some korean brand banana juice instead. I then later send her a text thanking her for inviting me to help her which she doesn't reply to.
She's usually only replies if I initiate the conversation first which then let me gaslight myself into thinking it's because she's probably busy .. anyways we text each other for a bit that night because I asked for her number later instead of using Hinge. I then get somewhat down bad and ask if I can see her again tomorrow in which she replies "what's the benefit of seeing you again tomorrow?" which I thought was funny but she was serious. She had to write her REB so I guess she didn't really have time.
It's then the weekend and on the morning of Saturday she invites me to join her to the library and then we can eat at some place later if I want to where she'll be busy working on some stuff. She emphasize that she'll be annoyed if she is disturbed while trying to get work done which I didn't mind since my work is online and I only need a laptop to work.
I showed up at the library a bit early and letting her know, she then tells me she's going to get some coffee nearby first and then meet me so I wait for her at the library. Around 30 min goes by and I start getting a bit worried because she still hasn't showed up and hasn't given me any updates at which point I text her if anything is alright or if she's safe and what not. I get no answers for a bit then later she texts me she's inside where I was on my way to the coffee so I go back inside and then we just sit near each other and focus on our work. I give her the same korean banana juice which I found later at some korean market I went by to buy before meeting her. A few hours goes by we then go to a japanese place by walking there so I get to speak with her for a bit which was nice. I then pay for the bill then walk her home and then again we just wave to each other and say goodbye.
At this point, there has been no physical affection or the sort. Her body language isn't really telling me she's comfortable so I'm not really going for it even though I'm starving for it. I figure she prefers taking things slow so I'll go at her pace. Again, I text her later thanking her for inviting me and spending some time together which I appreciate. She doesn't really reply and giving me back the same energy.
So constantly, I'm always wondering if she's interested in me or enjoy spending time with me. When I ask her about it, it most of the time gets deflected or maybe it's a language barrier and I don't always get what she means when she sends some of her texts if I'm being honest but for some reason I find it cute. it's not like she's playing hard to get but it's confusing to say the least.
Anyways, because of that, I became hesitant to make plans to see her again since she doesn't really people calling her on the phone either unless absolutely necessary she explained to which I joked saying if I'm about to die then I'll call you.
After that second "date". i just try to limit my interaction to texting her a few text daily or so because I just wanted to have some kind of interaction with her. At this point I realized this may or may not be a one-side interest but then I gaslight myself thinking, she's a busy person and still makes some time for me so surely she's interested in some way?.
After a week or so of daily interaction I decide to somewhat stop contact because I also wanted to focus on my stuff and perhaps explore my other dating options if any .. a week goes by and I never hear from her again until one day she just sends me a text that just finished working at some factory as an interpreter and that her phone will be temporarily be disabled because she'll be traveling.
I then expressed my surprised because I figured she had forgotten about me and whatnot. We then exchange a few text here and there, we both caught a cold and talked about how shitty the weather is here and stuff. Again, I'm always the one having to initiate or there won't be any contact .. like at all. So it's hard for me to know if the person is interested even when being asked so I'm left with just overthinking.
Anyways, I ask her more about what time she's leaving and what time and if she wants to spends the last 2 days eating out and spending time together and stuff.
She said she went to some resto the day before but it was busy and had no table because of mother's day. At this point, I looked up the resto because I wanted to make some reservation so we could go there but I stopped myself because I had no idea what kind of situationship this was and if I was putting more effort and not receiving any. So I ended up sleeping instead.
The next day in the morning she texts me she went back to that resto but found out it's only open on certain days for brunch so she was sad and we exchanged a few random texts from that.
then the next day, this is our last conversation this morning before she's away for the next 4 months ..

Yes I agree that rushing was the issue in my first but in this case it's more of a mutual interest and communication. From my perspective, it seems like I'm chasing you for some reason because I'm not getting the same energy that I'm sending out. It seems you only respond if I initiate first. I'm always left wondering if you actually want to spend time with me or interested. I can take it slow as a 100 years as long that I know the other person is also interested in building something together in the near future with me. I do want to make plans but it's hard to differentiate if I'm being used for my kindness or for attention when I receive no reassurance when being asked for it? Surely you understand the concept of return on investment.

NEED OBJECTIVE OPINIONS/ADVICES? I consider myself pretty in tune with myself and my emotions but here I find myself a bit confused and I can't tell if I'm getting clingy or obsessive or too close to the situation to think clearly so I figured I'd make a post and hear some of yall thoughts on this to see if maybe I'm the one who still need to work on myself or maybe we're just not compatible? On New Year of 2023 I got to know that my mom has breast cancer with metastasis in the bones. I live in the US, and she lives with my dad in another country. I am a healthcare professional, and I felt guilty immediately. I should’ve checked if she does mammogram every year. I don’t know why I didn’t think about that. She has always been overweight, and I’ve been concerned about cholesterol, atherosclerosis and diabetes, and constantly been nagging her about diet, lab work, meds. But I never asked if she had mammograms done every year. Her mom (my GM) had breast cancer too. Maybe I assumed that mammogram is such a basic thing, that everyone has it done, including my mom. In fact, she hadn’t done it for a few years. If only I asked and pushed her to do that, we would have caught it earlier, and she would have gotten surgery and chemo and everything would have been fine. Then, my home country is not particularly good at treating cancer. She started chemotherapy, but at some point our country run out of it, and she waited a few weeks without treatment, until I managed to buy it and get it delivered. Maybe I should have brought her to the US for treatment? Or another country? I could have gotten a loan to pay for medical bills. I couldn’t pay out of pocket at that time, but I would pay it later eventually. I’m here in the US on working visa myself, so I would have to pay 100% out of pocket, because she would not get insurance. But I still could have done that. But I did not. Then, in June 2023 we found out that her cancer had metastasized to the brain. She underwent whole brain radiation and it helped until 2024 New Year. Then her condition started to deteriorate again. She developed dysphagia and dysarthria. Could barely walk. I scheduled my vacation for June to come and be with her for 4 weeks. I blame myself that I didn’t go immediately. I could have quit my job and bring my husband and kids to our home country for a few months, it is not such a big sacrifice. We would go back eventually and I would find a new job. But I decided not to do that. I decided that my kids education is more important. Maybe I gave up on my mom, knowing that stage 4 breast cancer with brain involvement is a no hope situation…. I can’t forgive myself for that. Even if it is a desperate situation, I could have spent these last few months by her side. All her life she did everything for me and I didn’t pay her back. In the beginning of April she tried a new chemotherapy. She was scared of possible side effects, but she kind of believed that it would help. I should have stopped her and explained that she didn’t need chemotherapy at that point. That she only needed to make herself as comfortable as possible for the time that she had. But I didn’t say that. I said let’s try and if you develop side effects, we can stop. So she took the first dose, and she developed severe pain in her legs. She could not walk anymore. And her PCP only gave her NSAIDs for pain, huge doses and forgot to tell to take omeprazole. And I forgot too. I was so dumb that I didn’t even think about mentioning that, like it’s a common sense and everyone knows. So, back to 2 weeks ago. She developed GI bleeding, but doctors didn’t recognize that. She called EMS, her BP was 80/50. Refused to go to the hospital. They gave fluids, raised BP to 90/60 and left her home. She stopped answering the phone and when I called my dad, I noticed that she is not looking at the phone, and barely spoke. So I immediately flew to my parents. Dad told me about “black tarry stools” and only then I realized that she deteriorated so fast from GI bleed. We did CBC at home, her hemoglobin was 4.3. She was in pain, but she always refused opioids. However, I talked to PCP and we decided to stop NSAIDs and start tramadol and diazepam for agitation. In 2-3 days after we started medications she became more and more confused and disoriented. Now she sleeps all day long and only open her eyes for 1 second to loud noises. I was not ready for that. I hoped she would be pain free, but still somewhat alert. I feel like I made her unconscious. Stole her last ability to be present in this world. And I feel that she was not ready for that either. The last thing she told me was “have some rest, workaholic”. I was cleaning her room at that moment. Was she blaming me for not being this her while she was sick all these long months? For not sitting next to her during these last moments of lucidity?? We are going to take her to hospice, because I have to go back to work, and my dad can’t take care of her at home. And because I want her to have adequate pain management, which is only possible inpatient. But I know for sure that she did not want to die in the hospital. I’m afraid that she will never forgive me for all I have done and not done. I should have handled that differently. I just hate myself and don’t know how to live after all this.

Hi, I’ve been unable to decide which next Porsche I am going to buy. Currently own a 2022 Macan GTS. My biggest concern is depreciation… I have not been following the market for either cars so I’m here, hoping someone would know more than me.
Option 1 981 GT4 (2016) 40k miles
Option 2 992 Base (2020) 35k miles
The 992 is a bit more expensive $10k USD but I don’t mind paying it if it depreciates the same as a GT4 approaching its 10 year mark.
I went to the dealer and drove the 718 GTS and thought it was really SMALL. Not a big fan of it. I like bulky coupes like 992. Ideally 992 is what I want but if its going to depreciate like hell like any of my AMGs were, then I’m not going to bother. I heard only GT Porsche will hold value. I’m only going to keep the GT4 when it hits 10 year mark till 2026, not looking forward to pay a fortune to fix it. So I’d like to know your opinions on it. Please help me out. I’m lost even after watching countless videos.
Note: I only drive about 3000-5000 miles max a year. I have been hit with depreciation in the past 10 years trading in my car at dealer for new (used) ones, hoping to get something else that dealer wants and won’t lowball me.

Hello reddit! Havent really posted on here before but I find myself in need of some advice. This might be a bit of a long one but I feel like theres a lot of context I need to cover. If anybody bothers to read all of this, some insight would be very insightful because I want to make sure that my personal bias isn’t affecting my thoughts on the matter.
I (25M) met my best friend Jeff (20M) about two years ago. We are coworkers. As soon as we started working together we clicked instantly, and immediately became super close friends. He doesn’t have any other super close friends to talk about his feelings with and I dont have any close meaningful male friendships either, so we grew very close and are a support system to each other. In January of 2023 Jeff had asked me if I’d want to move in with him and his girlfriend in about a year, after about 4 months of us being friends. Both him and her wanted to get out of their parents houses, and wanted to find another roommate to help with rent. I’m trapped at my parents house without making enough money on my own to move out, and dont see myself in a relationship anytime soon to have a partner to help with rent, so this seemed like a great opportunity for us both to help each other out.
His girlfriend, Fiona (20F), is where the problems start to lie. In our two year friendship I have clocked many red flags about her and have grown to really not like her and the way she treats him, and other people. The first I heard about her was in the beginning of our friendship when he asked my advice about a situation he was in. He said he felt stuck in the middle bc his family was pissed at her bc she didn’t get him a gift for his birthday. I asked him if HE was upset about that and he said that he was not, and I told him not to stress about it, bc his feelings on it are the most important thing. The first time I met her we had all went to a movie together. By the movie theater there was a pricy gourmet cookie shop and she had the idea for us all to get cookies and take them into the movie. We all were down, so we went to the shop. Jeff decided to wait in the car while Fiona and I went in. It wound up being cheaper for us to get a four pack rather than each getting our own so we decided to do that, being cordial I let her pick out all of the cookies. When we got to the register to pay she looked over to me for me to pay. I did, kind of assuming that since they were all of ours they would each gave me some money towards it. They did not offer, and I did not ask and thats on me. Then when I dropped her off she requested to take all the leftovers from the cookies home with her and she did. I wasn’t really upset about it but I did think it was a little bit weird, but chocked it up to the awkwardness of meeting new people for the first time, and miscommunication. The next time I met her, the three of us went to the mall together. First she brought us to a piercing shop and showed him the piercing she wanted to get, and told him the price and started asking if she can get it (assuming he’s paying). Jeff really doesn’t make too much money at our job knowing what I make and that he makes less than me. He asked if they could do it next week when he gets paid and she got upset at him and they fought about it. During the same mall trip she brought us into another store she wanted to browse around in and found a dress and bracelet she wanted. She gets to the register to pay and Jeff and I were standing off to the side waiting for her to finish. She hands the cashier the bracelet (the cheaper item) and then without saying anything just turns around and hands Jeff the dress (the more expensive one) expecting him to buy it for her. He did and he looked sad, it really made me upset. There have been many other times where I’ll ask him if he wants to get dinner or something and he’ll tell me he doesn’t have any money this week bc “Fiona wanted to get her nails done” or “Fiona wants to dye her hair”, and he just pays for ALL of it.
We wound up having a conversation about this where I expressed my concern for him and he told me that I “didn’t understand bc I’m single.” I told him no, spoiling your partner can be great if thats what YOU want to do, but its not right for it to be the constant expectation. He told me that “I just dont understand bc I’m gay, and that thats just what having girlfriend is like.” I reiterated that its really not normal and we kind of dropped the conversation. This talk of “thats just what having a girlfriend is” was extremely worrying to me, bc they have been together since they were 14, and this relationship is all he’s ever known.
At another point he expressed to me really not liking being at home bc of the issues between her and his family. I asked about their issues and he said that they really dont get along and he’s always caught in the middle of them. I asked what they have issues about and he said she gets VERY upset that his family refers to her as “Jeff’s girlfriend” when in her eyes she “sees herself as so much more than that”. I asked if they had other issues and that was the only issue he said they have. I told him that that was a non-issue, as she is, in fact at this point in time, his girlfriend. He said he knows. This to me wreaks of the classic abuse of trying to isolate him from his family for no reason. She doesn’t like him having outside forces pointing out the ways she takes advantage of him. Like with the first issue of her not getting him a birthday gift, and his family telling him that was wrong, obviously before I had more context I was on his side, but now knowing what I know I 100% agree with his family.
Sometime in early 2023 she had to move out of her parents house earlier than our plan for the three of us to move out together. And Jeff helped her out and set her up to move in with some extended family of his. After she moves in there, Jeff told me that she wasn’t planning on moving out with us anymore and was going to stay there, but him and I would still get an apartment together. I was obviously very okay with this change of plans. While she was living here she would constantly ask him to sleepover but he really didn’t like spending the night there as it made him uncomfortable, being in his extended families house sleeping in her bed, as they’re very christian. He also just preferred being in his own house and sleeping in his own bed. The problem was, every time he would say no to sleeping over she would blow up at him and start a huge fight that would make him feel like shit until he would eventually just go sleepover to appease her. He at one point expressed to her that sleeping over there made him uncomfortable and why, and told her that he couldn’t deal with her blowing up at him for not sleeping over constantly. He compromised and told her he’d stay over one consistant day a week so she can stop asking and getting upset when he says no. He slept there every week on their day like he said, but this didn’t stop her from continuing ask on the other days of the week and still being upset when told no. An example of him trying to set a boundary, and her just trampling all over it.
One night in November of 2023 he calls me in tears at 2am. He was upset bc he felt so stuck in the middle between what she wanted and what his family wanted. She apparently had asked him to move in with her, but his family was telling him he should stay with them and save up his money, bc they thought that made the most sense for him. He felt caught in the middle bc he couldn’t please both her and his family. He asked me what I thought he should do, and I told him that that really didn’t matter and neither does what his family wants or what his gf wants, all that matters is what HE wants. Does he want to move in there? He told me, no. He agreed with his family’s points of it being smarter for him to just save up money and live at home for the time being while still trying to get his drivers license (him and his gf both do not drive). I told him that I agreed and also thought that was the best idea for him. Especially bc once paying rent, it would be much harder for him to eventually be able to afford a car. Not to mention we still had our plan to move out together the next summer. He wound up getting very heated during our conversation and saying things like how he didn’t want to move in there and he didn’t even care if they wind up breaking up over it. He told her he didn’t want to move in there and she blew up at him and ignored him for the rest of the night. She continued ignoring him into the next day, and he was a mess. Once she started talking to him again he told me he was going over to her place later that night that talk about everything.
After their conversation he calls me to tell me how it went and he starts with “so I’m moving in”. I was taken aback after our conversation the previous night and he told me that she “made him realize how many issues there are in their relationship that he needs to work on, and she thinks him moving in with her is the best way.” I said “and theres things SHE needs to work on too, right?” And he hesitated for a bit before saying “… yeah”. Which made me think it really wasn’t discussed. Him being so adamant about not wanting to move in with her the night before, and then he sees her in person and is immediately convinced to move in there and all of their problems are his fault, really made me feel sick. Not to mention, that this completely trampled over his and I’s plan to move out together and now that would not be happening. He’s apologized to me a lot for that, and I’ve forgiven him and moved on, even tho letting go of the idea of our apartment together which seemed so fun hurt a lot.
Their living situation changed again recently and they moved out of the extended families house and into a new apartment together, greatly increasing their cost of living. I’m concerned for him financially as I know the rent alone is slightly more money than he makes a month from our job. I’m not sure how evenly they’re splitting the cost of living, however even in this new situation she continues to expect him to get her nails done every paycheck and all of her usual “buy me everything I want or I’m going to blow up at you”. I know he’s using his savings to give her what she wants. She’ll frequently call him at work. Like A LOT. Usually about 5 times in an 8 hour shift. And most of these phone calls are just him apologizing profusely for god knows what. And on one of these phone calls I did hear him say that he “could pull from savings to get that for her”.
There are many more examples of ways I see her use and take advantage of him. As well as put him in unsafe situations, but this post is already waaaay too long, and I feel like I’ve provided enough insight into their relationship. I will try to be active in the comments if anybody asks for more context.
If anyone read all of this, thank you! I would really appreciate some advice of what to do in a situation like this. I’ve never not liked a friends partner before. I’ve not said anything exclusively like “I dont like your gf and heres why” but I’ve made comments about things shes does not being right to try to get him to see what I see but I just dont think he gets it. On one hand I feel like I’m being a bad friend to Jeff for letting her abuse him like this, but on the other I’m scared to upset him if I bring it up. I’m terrified of losing or ruining our friendship over this bc he is extremely important to me, and I’m just scared to bring it up especially bc of how much longer he’s known her than me (6 years vs 2). Any advice is extremely appreciated.

I’m a carpenter by trade for 12 years after I separated from the Navy under Honorable conditions. Three years ago I became a GC. I started doing 30 day turnover remodel units for an invested was doing great. I started with 1 a month and earned my way up to 12 units a month. I obviously ended up having to everything out. I had 2 teams that were on payroll, a few others I subbed out to other GCs with correct documents, insurance, and contract ect.
Now here is where I messed up. A family “friend” came into the picture who had a license. He had 2 guys that worked for him asked if I can bring him on. I was going to do a contract but he didn’t have workers comp for his guys ect..struggling slow on work ect. The crew was spoken highly of, so I brought him on with a verbal agreement. He would take care of the labor and I would buy material with a 60/40 split. Had them for a yea doing great..then they started having money and started going on vacations ect. But now they were showing up less not working like they were. It got to the point that I had to start subbing the work they weren’t completing on time so that I can complete my turnovers on time. That money had to be taken out of their pockets. They ended up quoting which I was fine with.
3 months later I was reported to labors board because I apparently wasn’t paying them the correct wage, nor giving the bathroom breaks, lunch ect..they also reported me to the investor and they wanted no part of it. was in and out of court for almost a year. For all 3 of them I was being sued for 96k. I settled for 36k so I would lose my license. When I was let go I didn’t want to lose my house so I got job as a multi unit consultant. Basically because a superintendent. I would like to start getting my own work again but my business credit ect was ruined to pay these guys out leaving my business in debt How do I get back in the game? Should I just go bankrupt and start a new corporation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s some background:
I moved in with my boyfriend over a year ago, and from the get-go, our landlord (his grandmother) has been causing issues and stepping on our boundaries, and we’ve finally reached a breaking point.
It started with her showing up without asking, then it became her starting projects in the home without asking (like leaving us without a working kitchen for two months while she remodeled), then we weren’t allowed to fix things without “her guy” being there (air was out for over three days waiting on “her guy”), and now the biggest argument has come to a head: the lawn.
We live on about four acres of land, and it’s covered in trees. It’s a private drive, only 10 or so houses are built on the property, and we are in the very back. Last house on your left. You would have to drive to our home, use the dead end roundabout, and go back to see our house unless you live across the street, or next door. All of these homes have lots of land.
Both my boyfriend and I work full time, and I finally just finished being a full time student. My boyfriend is picking back up in his education and is shifting into full time student work, on top of his 40 hour work week. Almost everyone on this drive is either extremely rich (lavish houses) or retired. Or someone died and the child offered us a renting situation, such as our situation. So, these people either have someone else mow, or they have all the time in the world to.
For over a year, his grandmother has complained about the consistency in which we mow. It’s not quick enough, it’s not to her liking, she could do it better, whatever. She lives on her own 100+ acres 20 minutes away, not sure how ours impacts her, but fine. It’s not “how she likes it”. We’ve been able to get over this so far, but now we’ve learned we have neighbors calling and complaining about our yard.
PLEASE.
Because of this, his grandmother is now threatening to kick us out unless we mow to her frequency, and she complained that she’s getting countless calls from these people complaining about us and our yard. Again, these are all older people who are retired who spend their days mowing, or have the money to pay someone else. WE DO NOT. WE ARE ONLY 23 AND 22.
He mowed last week (it had been raining for two weeks straight - hence the grass was long) and it took him five hours to mow the back, front, and sides, and he ran out of time for weed-eating because we had my graduation to attend. This is not something he or I could manage with a full time work schedule, and school on the side, at the frequency she’s asking. It’s just not happening. She’s insinuated we should be keeping the place like a dentist’s office, mowing every week and planting cute little flowers. I said no. It’s a house. It’s grass. Get over it.
We pay rent. We keep the inside clean. We don’t throw parties. We go to work, come home, and do our thing. I don’t know WHY these people are SO bothered by a little long grass. To the point of almost harassing our landlord and offering to buy the land. like??? I’m so lost. And angry. We mow the lawn. This is not a situation where we just don’t. It’s just not how people who don’t live here want it to look, and I’m sick of placating the situation.
I want to annoy the crap out of these people. It’s two homes in particular who have been calling, and they both have lots of land. It’s also a VERY republican part of town. Please give me all the unethical ideas, because these people need to mind their own business. And I’m DONE.
TLDR: boyfriends grandmother lets us rent, has been complaining about the fact that we don’t mow as often as she wants, now neighbors are calling and complaining, and we’re being threatened with eviction if we don’t placate these people

SOOOO this will be a long post, I will begin from the start so you understand the context.
I am a teen from an East European country where money is sparce
Around 3 years ago my mum left my dad to seek a better pay in another country and because of the worsening of her relationship with my dad (they weren't married), anyways a few months after that my dad quit his job, because he was "supposed" to work abroad, in reality it didn't happen so he was left without a job and for the next 3 years he worked odd jobs or if he found a stable job he wouldn't last long on it. Whenever he was unemployed after leaving his job, he was either excusing himself with "the job didn't pay enough" or "they were exploiting me to work long hours" or "they didn't need someone to work for that anymore, so they let me off", after getting unemployed he would use my mum for money for bills, food, himself etc... and whenever my mum refused to send him money he would say "look at what your mum is doing, she doesn't care about you or doesn't want you to be fed" and would deny any responsibility as to his situation. In all this time I refused to argue with my dad about insulting my mum for no reason, being lazy or irresponsible because I once had done so and he got extremely mad and traumatised me for a long time. I also need to add that last year in 2023 around April my dad almost sold his house, so he can pay back his debt and buy a house in a random village, when he realised he couldn't buy a house with the money he was selling his own house for, he quickly called my mum and begged her to bail him (as he owed 3k euros to the guy who wanted to buy the house), he offered my mum ownership over half the house in return, she accepted as it was a bargain. In September when my mum came back from abroad she gave my dad some money for the house and those 3k euros to pay back the guy, the thing that he didn't tell her was that they agreed with the guy not to give him that money back, so he scammed my mum 3k euros, he renovated a room for around 800 euros and the rest of the money was gone in 1-2 months (which is insane as this could last someone for at least 4 months). When I told my mum this she was furious and she said that he could've saved up the money for my future or in case he needs it desperately, instead he wasted it on food and alcohol and probably his lover.
At the end of 2023 he got a job as a maintenance worker at a central restaurant in a city as the previous worker had to return to Ukraine after a few years of working in here, so my dad was allowed to the job, he worked there for around 2 months when one day I came back from school and I saw him at home and he told me that he doesn't work there anymore as they didn't need a maintenance worker anymore, I did accept this as the truth with a bit of doubt so I didn't question him any further and since then until recently he hasn't had a job and relied mainly on my mum's money for everything, I was already getting pissed off at that point because of it and his laziness to find a job. Last month in April his friend came back from Germany and offered my dad to work together with him in Spain, my dad accepted so he got himself into fast credits, which if he stayed in here would never be able to pay back, he also asked my mum for money a few times because he had to pay 3 electricity bills and they even turned off our electricity for 2 days, but I didn't complain much as I knew my dad would go to Spain and he would return for money to fix the house and basically provide the basic needs of any decent living family. He was supposed to go work in there for 2 months and then return back for 20 days and repeat. I was left alone to live after he went to work in Spain, I managed to keep myself up while he was gone, so that was no problem. Two weeks after my dad went to Spain, me and my friend were at the store shopping for meat for that night's BBQ at my house when I got a call from my dad telling me that his manager had told him that him and 12 other new workers were getting released from the job as their shift was over apparently, he basically had to return back to the country and I didn't really believe his story, but I couldn't prove it wrong, though I read his work contract and found out that they couldn't "let him off" without notifying him 2 weeks prior, so he must've been kicked out. Then I talked with my mum and I told her the situation, she was clearly shocked as she gave him a lot of money to go there in the first place and was expectedly mad. She contacted his friend that he went together with and his friend told us a completely different story, the reason why he was "released" from the job was because he was lazy, pretended not to understand how things worked and was too laid back from the work itself by basically just sitting around, so the managers had enough of him and kicked him out. After I found that out, I realised that I could not live together with this man any longer, so the next day after the BBQ night (same day as he was supposed to be arriving in the house) I decided that I will move out of there and move to a family friend's house (he's abroad, so I am alone with his grandpa). I packed up everything from my room and everything that was my mum's and I moved to that house, my dad called me telling me he's coming back and I told him that I moved out because he was unserious and he hung up the phone. After that during the night he was threatening me that if I don't go back to the house there will be consequences, he threatened that he will call the police to search for me (even tho I told him where I am staying). After that he started begging me to come back, and I just decided to ignore him after his threatening messages as talking with him and trying to make him realise his mistake would only backfire at me. He recently had a call with my mum and she told him that she would not send him money for anything anymore even if I go back to live with him and he said, I repeat HE SAID that my mum never sent him any money, that it was all his, that she did nothing for me, and basically threatened her that he will hurt her (he's threatened her many times, insulted her etc without her doing anything to him and only trying to help).
To mention, my dad has never been physically abusive towards me and is rarely verbally abusive, unless you call him out on his lies, that he's lazy or that he's wrong, he always thinks he's right about everything, he's self righteous and never does any mistakes and everything that goes bad is someone else's fault. Also he's a big liar, he lies about everything, even the smallest things that don't need to be lied about.
So this was the story mainly, I am now in the new place for almost a week and I am getting used to this situation, my dad stopped texting me or calling me for 3 days now, he doesn't even answer my mum's phone anymore. I don't know how to handle the situation in the future, I don't have any idea how my dad will react in the next months, will I even speak to him and what should I do if I see him? I would love any advice or to hear your stories.

Hello! I am new to this sub. Considering LC when I move out.
Background:
30F. I'm already estranged from my father (NC) due to emotional, verbal, and religious abuse, for about 10 years now.
I've been living with my mom for about 2.5years due to financial complications from Covid.
I was super depressed when i got here, having endured the most toxic and traumatizing romantic relationship of my life, multiple job failures due to undiagnosed adhd and cptsd, and have just generally been barely getting by, even after my official diagnosis and medication.
Something I've realized increasingly is how not only is she a bad role model for self regulation, but she may still be activating my trauma. Despite some improvement in our adult relationship and even an unprompted genuine apology a few years ago, she's still emotionally immature and dismissive and invalidating at times. I've suggested that we go to family therapy on multiple occasions, and she's straight up refused to go. She's also had some weird controlling incidents, especially when I was going grocery shopping with her and she refused to pay for my snacks (??) And when I interrogated her about this, after I got a job when I first moved here, she said something like how she didn't like I was buying Nutella even though the grocery bill has gone down and I was eating more at home?? I was like, do you hear yourself right now.
She has a habit of getting strident when she feels defensive and I really don't like that because she used to yell at me a lot when I was a kid.
And for the longest time, she has just refused to agree to a division of chores regarding the kitchen. I've noticed I will be the one to empty and fill the dishwasher More often than not, as well as generally try to keep the counters clear. When I asked her if she could agree to either empty or to load the dishwasher, she's said no on several occasions, and the last time I asked if you months ago, she said she was "too busy to think about the dishwasher," which I called bullshit on immediately, and told her it was communal effort, to what she said, "it's not a communal effort for me." This, from the woman who once said she just wanted to treat me as another adult that lives in this house. She also tried to justify it by saying I use more dishes than her. At first I was a little petty about it by only washing dishes I used, but that grew tiresome very fast, so I just stopped cleaning the kitchen completely and let her stew in her mess. Now she'll clean up maybe every 3 or 4 days as opposed to when I was doing the dishes at least every other day.
But the big offense was last year. I got approved to get sterilization surgery, and I was really excited, and I was telling all my friends and they were happy for me, but then I told her and she said she didn't support it. So then I was like, why? And she said she thought that I had other things to focus on like employment and whatnot and this seemed like a distraction from a larger issue, fueled by political happenings at the time (post roe). To which I was like, no?? I've planned on getting this done since at least my mid twenties, the only thing that's making me get it done now is that I know I can get it done for free due to the affordable Care act, and yeah, abortion being severely limited in most states kind of presses the gas on it. And I'm never going to be this young again, so recovery will be fairly easy. Which it was. Like, it was so insulting that she generally didn't trust me to make such a large decision for my own life. Which is just how I've noticed she's still kind of treats me like I'm incapable of making decisions as an adult.
So then I had asked her, since we live together and the hospital I was getting the operation at was 15 minutes away, is she would be willing and able to drive me to my surgery. I asked on more than one occasion, and she had irritably replied, if I say I'll do something I'll do it! Luckily, I didn't believe her and asked my cousin if she would as a backup, which I ended up needing because my mom forgot to put the appointment on her calendar, and was excitedly talking about possibly going abroad. And when I asked her about it, she asked if I could ask her sister to drive me. Which first of all, no, seeing as how you reacted all weird to this, I'm certainly not going to ask someone else of your age group in the family, and the reason I had asked her was because we live together! And it was a minimal time investment.
And when I communicated to her that I wasn't mad that she wasn't going to take me to my surgery, so much as it was I was mad that she'd broken a promise that she doubled down on when I asked if she was sure, she said that she's been working and obligated since she was 14, and gave some long-winded excuse about that. And I was like okay, legit, except right up to the part where I asked you on more than one occasion if you were able and willing and you still said yes. I gave you an opportunity to say no on more than one occasion, but you put yourself in that position. And it's only natural that I'm angry that you went back on something you said you would do, something that is very important to me and to my future.
Soon after this conversation, I was flying out of town, and she'd offered to drive me to or from the airport, I can't remember. And I was just internally like, "oh, so when it's something that you approve of, suddenly you can offer to do things and I guess remember them."
The weekend before the surgery, it was on a Tuesday, she was out of town at a conference, and managed to catch some kind of illness. Then when she drove back, she asked if I wanted her to come to the hospital, and I said she could if she wanted to, but I really should have said no because I was still mad at her and I didn't know why she wanted to be there anyway.
And most importantly, she was sick! She wore a mask to the hospital, but in hindsight, that was really irresponsible to come into a hospital where people are sick, specifically into a wing with people recovering from surgery or getting surgery. Later, we found out it was COVID, which made me incredibly angry because now I had to recover at home with somebody who had fucking COVID.
And then, for some reason she interrogates my anesthetician about a completely unrelated medication I was taking to manage an unrelated condition at the time, which I didn't comment on at the time because I'd been fasting for 12 hours and was conserving energy for surgery, but I did get her about that after the fact. Had to tell her not to ask my doctors about my medications.
And despite me telling her that certain things she does or doesn't do don't help my ADHD, she either doesn't care or can't internalize this to adapt. And I'm not even talking about moving heaven and earth, I'm just talking about helping keep a clean kitchen and to not bang your utensils loudly in the kitchen when I'm clearly trying to watch something in the living room, which it's adjacent to.
I also felt behooved at one point to draft an entire document about my mental health and things I had done in spite of it because she always makes me feel like I never doing enough or never doing anything right. At the beginning of last year, I had called her after a doctor's appointment to vent about a new condition I might have, and at one point I resignedly sighed, "doing my best over here."
And then she replied, "are you though?"
I said "fuck it" and hung up.
So obviously she's not the most empathetic person.
So yeah. She's just constantly dismissive of my wants and needs, even unintentionally. And she still doesn't see the need for an outside mediator for our communication, because I sure as fuck still don't understand why she does things sometimes.
And I've reached a point with my personal growth and development that I realized that I'm still dealing with complex PTSD and it heavily affects my ability to move forward in life. I get so anxious when even thinking about jobs let alone filling out applications because it just triggers a deep emotional response. And while I realize I need to take responsibility to get myself the proper help in healing I need, I also have realized that continuing to interact with my mom in a certain way only perpetuates those feelings that lead to this immobilization. Because interacting with her is so triggering, it just pushes me further into adaptive coping mechanisms which ultimately keep me stuck. It also doesn't help that she eventually stopped supporting me financially when it came to my therapy appointments, and throughout my therapy she would repeatedly ask if it was helping because it was expensive. Which, thankfully, it has, because during that whole sterilization debacle, I was still able to validate my own feelings on the matter, which I wouldn't have been able to do before starting therapy with that particular therapist.
So what I've resorted to is largely ignoring her and not interacting unless I really have to, in order to avoid being sucked into a useless conversation or triggered when she's ultimately dismissive or unhelpful.
And idk if all this is just temporary or it's worth going LC or VLC once i do move out. Just wanting to get y'alls thoughts on the situation.

I can’t take it anymore. My Nmom is extremely disrespectful and doesn’t listen to my boundaries. She is extremely overbearing and controlling of my privacy andl controlling over what I “deserve” and how I deserve to be treated which is like trash. She believes she has a say and I can’t stand jt anymore, i’m my own person and she can’t see that. I will def be going NC wirh my Nmom when I move out. I will never ever speak to that women ever again. But right now, I live with her and in the mean time i’m trying to detach from her claws piercing into my skin. She wants control of me for herself if that makes sense. She wants me to be her bitch essentially. I say this in the most disrespectful way because that is truly how she thinks! she is extremely disrespectful.
Now, how do I tell her i’m paying for my own phone bill? I have a feeling she will blow up at me even though she’s told me plenty of times to pay for my own phone bill. Here’s the catch. I know she doesn’t actually want me to do so cuz she’ll loose control. Meaning she will legitimately refuse to do the things she needs to do to get me off the phone plan. So I found out the only way to get out of that plan is to buy an entirely new phone, plug a new SIM card into the new phone and not tell her. About any of it. Not even the new phone because she actually bought the last phone I had to control me. I was meant to buy my first phone wirh my own money but she sabotaged the transaction and used her card meaning she had control over it now. It’s just control control control. She was extremely controlling over my response time which she didn’t like because that meant less attention and supply for her to suck out of me. If I was 00:00:01 second late at replying to her texts she would blow up my phone and threaten to turn it off. It was fucking ridiculous. But now I am finally “ready” to tell her, I know she will blow up at me because she doesn’t actually want to loose that control. So how do I approach it? I want to do it while she’s at work that way she can’t attack me out of anger if I did it in person. She’s a bomb waiting to blow over ANYTHING.
I’m thinking about texting her in a casual way “You can stop paying for my phone plan. I’m trying a free trial for a new carrier.” How should I go about it? I don’t think there’s any good way cuz it’ll all result the same reaction, a loud immature, childish reaction.

I'm going to buy a car from a dealership later this week. I really like the car and I've viewed a similar car in a closer dealership to me. It's not new, it's a few years old (I think around 3-4 years old). I've not purchased a car since I got my first car which I bought new and I've kept for 10 years. I'm hoping to part exchange it for around £2k (It's a 2015 Suzuki Swift, only me as it's previous owner) and has around 90k miles.
The car is listed online for £12k and while I can pay that, I'm certain that price has some wiggle room. What tactics can I use to try and win the negotiation to get the best deal on the car? Most information I've seen online is very americanised and I'm not sure we have the same etiquette when it comes to buying cars.
My main principle here is just to make sure I am willing to walk away at any point and tell them I will think about it and come back which I'm hoping will put enough pressure on them to reduce the cost - But realistically how much can you expect to have removed from a car from a dealership?

Got a new roommate, we live in the South so a constant supply of Sweet Tea is a necessity. I use a particular brand of tea bags, a certain amount of sugar. Roommate also drinks the tea, so we split the duties: I laid out how to make it, bought the tea bags, told them how much sugar, and figure we're in business going forward. I can trust them, right?
Soon as I start drinking their tea I can tell something's off. It's not as sweet for starters, so I figure probably the sugar amount that's the problem. I let them know, verbally verify yeah, they know how much, I think it's weird, but whatever.
Three weeks go by, we both make around ten gallons, all of theirs off. I talk to them multiple times about the sugar, confirm they know the process, over and over. Still, they're all off. Finally, I conduct a blind taste test to see if they can tell a difference. They can! So what's going on?
At last, they open a cabinet and pull out a different kind of tea bags, revealing they've been using those the whole time, 'cause they're cheaper than the ones I buy, and didn't figure I could tell the difference. Once I misidentified and locked in on the problem as the sugar, given it was the only variable with any margin for error, they were certain of it, and just strung me along the entire time 'cause it was funny to trick me. Smiling and chuckling the entire time.
I'm pretty ticked about them playing me when I just trusted them to play straight, and say as such, and they eventually apologize for tricking me, that if they'd known how sensitive I was about my tea, they wouldn't have done it.
So now I'm wondering if I'm actually the asshole here. I mean, I'm aware this is a lot of drama about tea, which kinda feels like I'm proving their point, and the fact is, yeah, I couldn't identify the problem even if I could tell an unpleasant difference. But man, all they had to do was what I asked. Or just let me know the first couple of times. But they strung me along for WEEKS!
It's not even that they prefer the taste of the tea their way! I asked! They don't care! It's literally just that it's cheaper than the ones I buy and they thought it was funny! I never even asked them to pay for the tea bags they use! I just figured I'd cover it, no big deal. And yet, all this!
So am I actually probably just ticked I got played good and making a mountain out of a molehill to compensate? Or am I right to be ticked about being strung along for no good reason? Render your judgement and laugh at the pet-tea-ness of it all.
