I am looking for direct download links to the latest version of VMware vCenter Server Appliance (8.0U2c) and VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi ISO) image (8.0U2b).
I have the licences for both products (I saved them when everything was still on the vmware.com site), but I am now unable to see my licences and even download the products on the broadcom.com site.
I can download all software I am entitled to from the omnissa.com site, except for vCenter and ESXi.
I opened a support request yesterday (we paid for production support), but I did not get an answer so far.
So if anybody got an alternative location I could download the software from I would really appreciate.

Hi. I recently just ran into an issue where I realized I accidentally deleted a video from my computer that I still needed. And when I say "delete", I mean even "emptied the recycle bin delete".
I really need that video and I've tried looking up the answer, but nothing has really helped. Can someone please help me figure out how to recover the video?

I simply slapped TrueNAS on it without any research, booted it up and found TrueNAS is one of those Github/Linux bullshit where you have to type in sudo commands to do ANYTHING.
Then I slapped on CasaOS, the webUI looks promising but I can't even manage my storage. For now I only got the built-in 1TB SSD for the PC, it shows I have 1TB drive but somehow only 100gb available and I can't create any partitions on it either, it's just like I can't access the other 900gb at all for some reason. Also all the apps open in their own browser tabs, require their own login and password, who wants to deal with this nonsense? Plus all these apps have access to all the garbage Linux root folders and lost&found I hate seeing that shit, I want to only see my own clean folders I created myself.
Now I'm trying to install Unraid but it keeps saying my USB drive is not compatible, incompatible my ass I just installed the other two systems with this exact drive, plus I always install Windows with this drive how is it not compatible? I tried to manual download but the download is a zip not ISO, why can't it just be ISO like any other regular OS install? I tried just copying the files to the drive formatted in FAT32 but the install process just gets a bunch of errors and stops.
I've been using a Qnap NAS for several years it works ok except the performance is awful for the price I'm paying and it never has enough RAM. I want to run Qsearch on it but apparently 4GB is just not enough, and running it will gradually slow down my basic file access to a crawl.
Now I got this mini PC with 8x zen3 cores 16GB RAM it idles at 3w, has a bunch of super fast USB ports for storage it's perfect for a NAS server but there's no software, do I just have to slap Windows on it so there's no Linux terminal bullshit to deal with?
What I need:

• NAS storage that can connect a couple 2.5" SSDs in various types of RAID
• USB ports for external backup to some HDD in a non-nonsense format like exFAT
• SMB & FTP
• torrent accessible via web GUI
• NO terminals and sudo bullshit
• hopefully a fully indexed search function that can quickly find any file via file name only

PC 1: CPU: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Deepcool LS720 SE 85.85 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card 68900 Power Supply: Corsair RMe 750 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply I updated by thumb stick with latest arch ISO and used Rufus burn the ISO into the thumb stick. But now its not boot up. I'm able see the boot screen which shows the arch install. Might be noob question hence adding it in this forum. Things already tried: 1. Downloading a different iso and burning the image to the thumbstick again. I dont have another PC to try out the thumb stick woop woop :-(

I have been struggling to build the Windows 11 image on VMware, some help would be greatly appreciated.
I was able to configure HCL/Packer when it comes to VMware configuration (mostly I hope).
At the moment, Windows 11 gets provisioned until the moment that system boots with the Windows OS screen, and then it hangs, I believe that WinRM is not properly started via the XML answer file. I can confirm that answer file works because Windows settings for the setup are processed and Windows installation finishes.
Also, I could not use the floppy drive, since its not supported with UEFI and TPM, so I am mapping the VMware tools from the datastore, and will include in the answer file the part to install the tools - my doubt is, is the WinRM even started if the Packer can't connect with the IP?
I am having trouble to understand how to troubleshoot the answer file, its really cumbersome.
My packer console says waiting for the IP.
Any suggestions are very welcome, thanksss!

Rebooting put me in Grub's recovery command line. <strong>It seems like something important to look out for, but I have no clue how this occurred so it can be avoided. What potential things could have happened to cause this?</strong> <br /> Context: I recently had my Fedora installed computer update which unfortunately came with new kernels. dmesg blew up with problems and the Nvidia was taken down alongside missing kernel modules that were not updated for the new kernels for whatever reason. I did not know that at first. Missing WiFi, Bluetooth, and many functionalities. I removed Nvidia because it was usually a cause of that. I tried using older kernels. No change. Then I encountered another issue after installing kernel 6.8.5 with the boot partition not working right. Henceforth the concerns. <br /> I took a draconian approach to fixing this by using a Fedora Linux 40 Live ISO. I used dnf's installroot feature to install the "Fedora Workstation" group into a folder. I replaced my computer's root directory with that folder while making sure to preserve SELinux contexts to get rid of anything unusual. I wiped /boot and /boot/efi. I then mounted /boot, /boot/etc, /sys, /proc, /dev, /run accordingly then used chroot.
