There's a screenshot of text in a fic I'm reading, and due to the size of the image it's blurry. The author mentioned in the comments that there's alt text, but I can't figure out how to view it. This might be a stupid question, but does anyone know how to do that? Edit: I was able to view it through inspect element, but I feel like that's probably a more roundabout way to do it than intended.

Each week I post a summary recap of the week's top stories, which I cover in depth with sources in the full edition. Let's dive in... ___ STAT OF THE WEEK: Kohl's sales have shrunk by $2.3B since 2019. During that same period of time, the company lost 1.3M customers who no longer shop with the retailer. ___ BigCommerce is exploring a sale after attracting takeover interest, according to sources who chose to remain anonymous due to the confidentiality of the information. The sources said that BigCommerce asked investment bank Qatalyst Partners to solicit interest from potential buyers that include private equity firms, but that the discussions are at an early stage and no deal is certain. ___ Squarespace announced that it will be going private in a $6.9B all-cash deal with private-equity firm Permira, who agreed to pay $44 per share (a roughly 30% premium). Although Squarespace never lost 90% of its share price like BigCommerce, it has experienced a tumultuous time on the market since its IPO in May 2021 — opening around $49.50 and at times trading in the low $20s. Shares rose nearly 13% to $43 in pre-market trading upon release of the news. ___ ByteDance filed a lawsuit in US federal court seeking to block the new law that would force the sale or ban of the app within the country. The lawsuit challenges the law on constitutional grounds, also citing commercial, technical, and legal hurdles, as well as opposition from Beijing. Legal experts say the legal battle will play out in the courts in coming months and likely will reach the Supreme Court. ___ OpenAI unveiled its newest model, GPT-4o, designed to turn ChatGPT into a digital personal assistant that can engage in real-time, spoken conversations and interact with users using text, screenshots, photos, documents, and charts. The new version of ChatGPT also has memory capabilities, which means it can learn from previous conversations. It will be available to both unpaid and premium customers alike. OpenAI also announced that it would be launching a desktop app with the GPT-4o capabilities, giving users another platform to interact with the technology outside of a web browser. ___ Amazon launched in South Africa last week, marking its first marketplace in sub-Saharan Africa, and bringing its total number of marketplaces worldwide to 22. To launch the new marketplace, Amazon is offering free delivery on first orders and on subsequent orders above R500 (about $27), access to 3,000 pick-up points, status updates via WhatsApp to track orders, 30 day refunds, and 24/7 customer support. The marketplace was supposed to launch in the country in 2023, but got delayed due to changes in priorities within Amazon. ___ In an unlikely partnership, Instacart is partnering with Uber Eats to expand into the restaurant delivery business. Instacart will add a new tab for restaurant delivery to its app in the coming weeks, the listings will be provided by Uber, and the food will be picked up and delivered by Uber Eats drivers. Customers will receive the same prices on both apps and Instacart will receive an affiliate commission on orders. It's a strange partnership though given that Instacart and Uber Eats actively compete on grocery delivery. Are they planning to merge? Uber says no. ___ Apple's advertisement for its latest iPad Pro sparked criticism for showing an animation of musical instruments, paint cans, cameras, record players, and other symbols of creativity being crushed by a giant machine, with the output being the new iPad Pro, which the company says is the thinnest Apple product ever. In this context, “crushing” was supposed to symbolize “consolidating” and “compacting” — with the visuals meant to showcase how the new iPad Pro puts the power of all these tools into the hands of creators in one thin device. However online commenters criticized the ad as insensitive and as symbolizing a “destruction of the human experience.” The ad hit the web on Tuesday, and by Thursday, Apple issued a mea culpa and apologized for the campaign. ___ Google is encouraging merchants to enable conversion annotations on their Google Shopping ads, which offer social proof that highlight a product's popularity. Conversion annotations like “best selling” or “3K shopped here recently” would provide visual cues about a product’s popularity or sales performance directly in the ad unit. Annotations like these are par for the course with e-commerce retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and Temu, which all employ similar tactics. They can provide valuable info for shoppers and also help with conversions. However they also open data privacy concerns, given that Google is not the actual retailer or marketplace selling the items, so a merchant would have to share this purchase history data from their e-commerce platform with Google — which technically most already do by giving access to GA4. ___ Shein is attempting to join the National Retail Federation as it pursues regulatory approval to go public in the US. The company believes that NRF membership would boost its chances of receiving SEC approval. However so far, Shein has been rejected numerous times. An anonymous source familiar with the matter said someone with heavy influence at the NRF is strongly against the Shein's admittance. However board members who spoke to CNBC said that Shein's membership application hadn't come up in meetings, and that they aren't involved in deciding which companies are granted access. ___ Amazon is leading the way with selling home goods, capturing 18.8% of consumer home furnishings spending, compared to Walmart's 7.3% market share. Notably, Amazon’s gains in the furniture category come in spite of the company’s decision to phase out two of its three furniture brands last year. ___ Stanley, which is projected to do $750M in sales this year, up from $73M in 2019, after seeing its water bottles become a status symbol thanks to TikTok, is now expanding into trendier accessories. The company is launching a line of bags called the All-Day Collection which include a mini cooler, backpack cooler, and Quencher Carry-All, designed for someone to sling their Stanley over their hip. ___ Jack Dorsey left the Bluesky board and deleted his account on the service he helped kickstart, claiming that Bluesky was “literally repeating all the mistakes” he made while running Twitter. Dorsey says he never intended Bluesky to be an independent company, but rather, an open source protocol that Twitter was supposed to be the first client of. He also confirmed that he is financially backing Nostr, another decentralized Twitter-like service popular among crypto enthusiasts and run by an anonymous founder. ___ Amazon is deploying 50 electric trucks in California, which it claims is the largest EV fleet in the country, as part of its mission to eliminate pollution from its global operations. Disillusioned Tesla enthusiasts in India say they will now buy a car from the company only if they see it in a showroom, or they'll buy a different electrical vehicle from a company that actually exists in the country. ___ Target is limiting its Pride Month collection to select stores this year instead of rolling out the merchandise nationwide like it typically has for the past decade, due to backlash the retailer experienced last year. Last May customers in certain stores knocked down LGBTQ+ merchandise displays, angrily approached store employees, and posted threatening videos on social media from inside the stores. ___ E-commerce spending from Jan 1 to April 30, 2024 rose 7% YoY to $331.6B, according to Adobe Analytics. The Magic Eraser tools in Google Photos are impressive when used well, and I love the way Messages can create "Photomoji" by removing the background of an image very quickly. I would love to use this function as an image editing tool, but the Photomoji are only for text messages. So you can text yourself the PNG image, but it's very small compared to the original. The Magic Eraser in the Photos app can only seem to remove objects in the background and fill in the space with AI-generated filler. I don't see a way to remove the background entirely and create transparency. The tools are clearly capable of what I'm after, but I don't see a way to do this. Any creative workarounds?

Each week I post a summary recap of the week's top stories, which I cover in depth in the newsletter. Let's dive in... ___ STAT OF THE WEEK: Kohl's sales have shrunk by $2.3B since 2019. During that same period of time, the company lost 1.3M customers who no longer shop with the retailer. ___ BigCommerce is exploring a sale after attracting takeover interest, according to sources who chose to remain anonymous due to the confidentiality of the information. The sources said that BigCommerce asked investment bank Qatalyst Partners to solicit interest from potential buyers that include private equity firms, but that the discussions are at an early stage and no deal is certain. ___ Squarespace announced that it will be going private in a $6.9B all-cash deal with private-equity firm Permira, who agreed to pay $44 per share (a roughly 30% premium). Although Squarespace never lost 90% of its share price like BigCommerce, it has experienced a tumultuous time on the market since its IPO in May 2021 — opening around $49.50 and at times trading in the low $20s. Shares rose nearly 13% to $43 in pre-market trading upon release of the news. ___ ByteDance filed a lawsuit in US federal court seeking to block the new law that would force the sale or ban of the app within the country. The lawsuit challenges the law on constitutional grounds, also citing commercial, technical, and legal hurdles, as well as opposition from Beijing. Legal experts say the legal battle will play out in the courts in coming months and likely will reach the Supreme Court. ___ OpenAI unveiled its newest model, GPT-4o, designed to turn ChatGPT into a digital personal assistant that can engage in real-time, spoken conversations and interact with users using text, screenshots, photos, documents, and charts. The new version of ChatGPT also has memory capabilities, which means it can learn from previous conversations. It will be available to both unpaid and premium customers alike. OpenAI also announced that it would be launching a desktop app with the GPT-4o capabilities, giving users another platform to interact with the technology outside of a web browser. ___ Amazon launched in South Africa last week, marking its first marketplace in sub-Saharan Africa, and bringing its total number of marketplaces worldwide to 22. To launch the new marketplace, Amazon is offering free delivery on first orders and on subsequent orders above R500 (about $27), access to 3,000 pick-up points, status updates via WhatsApp to track orders, 30 day refunds, and 24/7 customer support. The marketplace was supposed to launch in the country in 2023, but got delayed due to changes in priorities within Amazon. ___ In an unlikely partnership, Instacart is partnering with Uber Eats to expand into the restaurant delivery business. Instacart will add a new tab for restaurant delivery to its app in the coming weeks, the listings will be provided by Uber, and the food will be picked up and delivered by Uber Eats drivers. Customers will receive the same prices on both apps and Instacart will receive an affiliate commission on orders. It's a strange partnership though given that Instacart and Uber Eats actively compete on grocery delivery. Are they planning to merge? Uber says no. ___ Apple's advertisement for its latest iPad Pro sparked criticism for showing an animation of musical instruments, paint cans, cameras, record players, and other symbols of creativity being crushed by a giant machine, with the output being the new iPad Pro, which the company says is the thinnest Apple product ever. In this context, “crushing” was supposed to symbolize “consolidating” and “compacting” — with the visuals meant to showcase how the new iPad Pro puts the power of all these tools into the hands of creators in one thin device. However online commenters criticized the ad as insensitive and as symbolizing a “destruction of the human experience.” The ad hit the web on Tuesday, and by Thursday, Apple issued a mea culpa and apologized for the campaign. ___ Google is encouraging merchants to enable conversion annotations on their Google Shopping ads, which offer social proof that highlight a product's popularity. Conversion annotations like “best selling” or “3K shopped here recently” would provide visual cues about a product’s popularity or sales performance directly in the ad unit. Annotations like these are par for the course with e-commerce retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and Temu, which all employ similar tactics. They can provide valuable info for shoppers and also help with conversions. However they also open data privacy concerns, given that Google is not the actual retailer or marketplace selling the items, so a merchant would have to share this purchase history data from their e-commerce platform with Google — which technically most already do by giving access to GA4. ___ Shein is attempting to join the National Retail Federation as it pursues regulatory approval to go public in the US. The company believes that NRF membership would boost its chances of receiving SEC approval. However so far, Shein has been rejected numerous times. An anonymous source familiar with the matter said someone with heavy influence at the NRF is strongly against the Shein's admittance. However board members who spoke to CNBC said that Shein's membership application hadn't come up in meetings, and that they aren't involved in deciding which companies are granted access. ___ Amazon is leading the way with selling home goods, capturing 18.8% of consumer home furnishings spending, compared to Walmart's 7.3% market share. Notably, Amazon’s gains in the furniture category come in spite of the company’s decision to phase out two of its three furniture brands last year. ___ Stanley, which is projected to do $750M in sales this year, up from $73M in 2019, after seeing its water bottles become a status symbol thanks to TikTok, is now expanding into trendier accessories. My (F28) and my family all went to celebrate my brother (M30) and his fiancé's (F30ish) graduations. My brother received a doctorate at noon and my almost-SIL (ASIL) received her's at 3pm. The college that we traveled to was at least 2 1/2 hours - 3 hours away to drive without stopping. So, it was a long day. My parents and my sister (F39) and her son (M12) all went for this big day, too. So, the ASIL is SUPER sensitive compared to our family. She's not used to joking around or teased, which is "funny" because that's how my brother always was when we were growing up. They love each other dearly and I fully believe they make each other better. She's also VERY sheltered. My sister, on the other hand, has a short fuse. She's not in a healthy relationship, her son was out of control messing with people, they traveled even further than us, she had a MASSIVE headache, and she recently stopped smoking cold-turkey. I believe our family is used to giving each other shit and handing it right back, but we can be mean at times. We may apologize or just let it go, because we are actually a really close family and have an on-going text thread that we talk to each other almost every single day. -with the exception to my brother not being very active because he worked full time and just got his doctorates degree. OH, AND HE'S ABOUT TO MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY! Okay, so here's where it gets messy. My sister was already having a bad day from the already mentioned reasons. Apparently, when my ASIL tried to speak to my sister, my sister was very short with her and walked away soon after. I wasn't there, but my mother called me asking what we should do because I guess my ASIL ended up crying about that interaction for a long time after everyone had left. It was a long and happy day for everyone, I thought. BUT my sister was also short with me several times and I shrugged it off because I knew she was not having a good day, even though she was super happy for my brother and ASIL to be achieving these huge accomplishments. My sister is the kind of person that will just "be done" with someone, which I don't think she'll do in this situation, but she still might hold a grudge. And my sister and I don't really know our ASIL that well because there's been so much distance and all of our lives are busy. We seem them usually once or twice a year briefly. I do not believe that my sister would INTENTIONALLY be mean or rude to ASIL. I also don't doubt this didn't happen because I'm used to it and don't take it personally. She really does have a much more difficult daily life than me and especially my ASIL have ever experienced. I think my ASIL is very sweet and kind-hearted. She's got that gentleness to her that nobody in our family has lol. BUT she is also very sensitive and she won't say anything to anyone that these things bother her. My brother informed my mom and I don't think that his fiance knows he told my mom. I think she'd be horrified that my mom and I know. My sister doesn't know that our ASIL cried about it and we don't know if we should say something. If we say something to my sister and she spills too many beans, then ASIL will know that my brother said something. If we don't say anything to my sister, then ASIL may be very offended and distant in a very close family environment. I'm not asking if my sister is the A-hole, because I know she can be or come across like one even when she doesn't mean to. But seriously, we don't want this to blow up. So, anyone have any ideas on how to confront my sister in a way that she doesn't make things worse?

I've bene trying to troubleshoot BSOD errors for a friend and I've been trying to isolate the issue from the minidump files using WinDbg. The motherboard had already been replaced through warranty due to similar networking issues, however the NETIO BSOD has returned. Previously to the new motherboard I had done numerous things including a Reset then USB reinstall of Windows. Troubleshooting thus far post-new motherboard: SFC /Scannow System Restore As indicated by Research- uninstalled AVG VPN, Auto Driver Updater Programs in use: AVG, Zone Alarm As it has returned it would seem to indicate that a security program is at fault or, perhaps, there is some 'toe stepping' on memory access. Most recent research as also indicated a uninstall reinstall of NIC drivers. I don't often go Dmp diving. I hope someone with more experience in this area can assist in locating the culprit for the NETIO. I hope its something glaring that I'm just missing. If possible could the reading for the solution be explained so I have a better idea of how to procced in the future in these instances. Thank you for your time and efforts. DMP File

I didn't maintain conversations or meet any women during this time. To my ex, though, it didn't matter. According to her, if I was truly committed to making things work, I should've never been on the app in the first place. It's tough because, as a way to demonstrate my commitment, I gave her access to my location and tried to establish that if I was seriously pursuing other women, why would I give her my location? It made no difference. She went on to block me (which she's never done) and told me to leave her alone so that she could heal from this/move on. So, I respected her wishes and didn't contact her. To start for some context my(26F) parents(59M)(45F) are not bad people, they adopted me when I was 12 and I have had a fairly good life, there were issues as the abuse I suffered in the foster system was worse then what was documented in my file as is most of the time with the foster system. I was cold and standoffish, inappropriate behavior and some degree of autism and ADHD that made it so understanding my surroundings was difficult. My parents were ill equipped to deal with that level of trauma and it lead to our relationship getting worse and worse as the years went. When I was 19-20 I had a break down from the pressure and destroyed my life, my parents took me in and helped me financially get back up but that wasn't easy. My mom made living there awful, they were in control of my finances as I had blown my money in my break down, I was given 50 dollars every two weeks from my paycheck(I was always working while trying to recover financially as not having a job is unacceptable) for any supplies I needed including food as I was over 18 and there were not going to cook for me. my dad did offer to help buy me some toiletries every now and again. It was my responsibility to get up, go to work and figure out everything. My mom wouldn't let me forget she had to "bail me out" and that she would never help again. Then in October 2020 I moved out into an RV someone was offering as a way to have my own space and to stop the constant fights me and my mom would have. Since then I have been completely finically independent, I do have a phone line through my parents that I pay for monthly, and if they asked I would get my own line, I stay for convivence as the price I get for the data cannot be beat. After genuine improvements both on an individual level and relationship level, I got caught being on Hinge after making an account while on an international trip. I didn't meet with any women and used the app purely because it was a passive distraction. She has since ended the relationship once and for all and we haven't spoken in two weeks. I am trying to determine if the relationship is officially over or if I should attempt to reach out over time to demonstrate that I still care and want to fight for this as I have the last few months... I've taken responsibility for what I've done from the start, began therapy, and I was making active (and recognized) improvements to show that I was committed to change. For context, my ex and I broke up in the Summer of 2022 because of mounting fights and because I was unable to commit to a move-in date. During the breakup, I downloaded Bumble and matched with a girl that I could maintain good conversation with. We texted/phoned a few times, but we never met in person. Eventually, my ex and I got back together about roughly a month later, I ghosted the Bumble girl, and my relationship with my girlfriend moved on. Fast forward to about a year later (fall of 2023) -- I was out one night at a local bar and the Bumble girl was there on a date with another guy. She texted me later that night noting how funny it was that the first time we saw each other in-person was when she was on a date. We continued to text and I eventually made the poor decision to go out on not one, but two dates with her. We didn't sleep together and I broke things off after the second date because I realized how stupid and selfish I was being. Fast forward to five months later (January of this year), the Bumble girl posted me on the above-mentioned Facebook group... I'm still in disbelief that she'd do so after only two dates, but word got back to my girlfriend and things went as you'd expect. Things were turbulent, she broke up with me, said that she couldn't forgive me for what I did, and that was that. However, after a couple of weeks, we began to reconnect. We began spending time together, sleeping together, and I made it a point to highlight how sorry I was and that I'd make the necessary improvements to show her that I was committed to her. As time went on, we began making genuine improvements as a couple, and things were steadily becoming good again... Until I made another poor decision. In mid-March, I went to Japan with a couple of friends and I downloaded Hinge simply because I was curious. Despite getting matches, I didn't meet with anyone and purely downloaded it out of curiosity. Unfortunately, I never deleted the app upon returning home. Time went on and my ex and I maintained our continued progress and we were on the brink of becoming "official" again. Drill isn't as popular as Drake thought it was --- that 2nd verse off Family Matters is an incredible performance but for whatever reason drill beats haven't been hitting like that in the mainstream ever since Pop passed (RIP). Drake doesn't have a killer instinct --- his Meek and Common wins were based on his opponent's missteps. He's never truly walked anybody down.
Drake fears intimacy and maturity --- all important human interactions require a level of maturity and initmacy to be effective (e.g. violence, love, relationships, etc). Drake's strength is focusing on his own image and popularity but he struggles IMMENSELY with focusing on other people.

It wasn’t much of a draw, but it was certainly noticeable. “Right, best make this quick then,” he tried thinking to himself, feeling the flow peak as he did. “Who is this? Make what quick?” an ethereal sounding female voice replied. It did sound a bit like how he remembered Joelina sounding. Though she did not exactly sound calm. “Uhm… Hello? Anyone there?” “Yes hello. Who is this? What must be done quick? Answer me at once!” “It’s Tom… Is that you, Joelina?” “Yes of course it is! Stupid dragons taking ages, I have questions for you! So many questiiioooonssss...” “Yeah I figured that… Fire away I suppose.” Tom replied a little uncertainly as to just what he might be in for. “Firstly! Did you read the letters?” “I did yeah…” “Disregard them, I have learned much since they were written! So much more yes, cursed blessed knowledge…” “So you do know we have gone to space then?” “What? No, I re-experienced the memory you had of the movie about the moon mission. It was evident on the second watching that it was trickery of the eye! These matters are above her station!” “Hasn’t she been in the Inquisition longer than you?” “She has yes. But she is no inquisitor. The talk of them possibly getting attacked even before the snow came wasn’t really that encouraging. But Dakota tended to speak her mind, and she was probably right. And to Dakota’s credit she did seem to recognize she hadn’t really managed to rile them up. “Didn’t you hear me?” she tried again in a slightly more humorous tone. “Eat, drink, and have fun! And put those tables together, don’t want you brooding in your corners.” That did get a bit more of a reaction, as well as some good humored chuckles. People started getting up and set about moving the tables closer together. It was a little rude to split up their guests in the same way as they normally did. Saph carried one of the benches over to the new spot, glancing around for any sign of Maiko, but there was no sign of him anywhere. Feeling a little miffed, she sat down with the others as Ray came back with one of the small kegs of cider looking very excited. “We should have a taste, right?” “Oh yes please!” Pho called out, Essy giving her a slight slap on the wrist. “This one is only for those who paid for it. You will have to do with whatever you bought. Or the ale I’m sure they intend to serve.” “Aww man. Not even a sip?” “Okay, maybe a sip,” Essy relented. “Oh, I should get Koko his gift.” “You got him a gift?” Saph questioned with mirth in her voice. “Of course, that is what people do for each other… you did get Maiko something, right?” Saph felt her expression slip a little as she prepared to disappoint their chief people person. “No, not really…” “All that money and you didn’t get him shit? That’s cold girl,” Pho laughed, clearly finding it hilarious. “Oh shut up, not as if I got something for Unkai either,” Fengi added, springing to Sapphire’s defence, though it seemed like the delivery had Fengi second guessing herself as well. Esmeralda did look a little saddened by the news, but she was far too nice to say anything. Tirox however had no such filter. “Oh don’t worry about it, just gotta go with a different sort of gift.” The diminutive guard laughed heartily at his joke. Udanti found it quite funny as well, and Pho certainly loved it. Bo just shook her head a little and went back to a small puzzle of some sort she had been working on, on and off, for most of the dinner by now. “So uhm… One mug each?” Ray questioned, having been left hanging at the keg. “Oh yes sorry, just the one, this stuff is expensive,” Saph replied, holding out her mug, Ray pushing it back down. “One moment.” And she produced a wooden mallet and one of the metal taps. It looked like one of Raulf’s, so it was probably old as faded dragonscales. Ray gingerly placed it against the cork and raised the mallet as the table fell silent in anticipation. With a whack the tap went in clean with hardly a drop spilled, and Ray breathed a visible sigh of relief. “Right there we go.” There was a quick round of cheers from the table, and Ray started pouring servings. “Oh got yours open, have you?” the voice of Balethon came as the guard came walking up to the table, mug in hand and lizard on shoulder. “You all know we are gonna have to work out who got the better stuff, right?” “Oh does it always have to be a competition with you, Balethon?” Saph questioned. She had just wanted to enjoy the cider. “Look who is talking… And yeah of course we do! Just think of the bragging rights.” Ray didn’t look too thrilled, nor did any of the girls who had actually paid for the keg. The rest of the table seemed to think it was a brilliant idea, even as Balethon’s voice carried and heads started to turn as people started to mingle between the now closely together tables. “I’ll be the independent adjudicator!” Tirox declared, not receiving much attention as the full mugs started to get passed around. “Oh come on. I’ll be fair!” “Shut it pipsqueak, you’ll end up taking 10 rounds of tastings before you make up your mind,” Udanti scolded, though in good humor. “I might…” the guy relented, looking to Balethon. “Ey, by the way. Did you teach the brainlet any tricks?” “Sure, Skitters can do a few things.” “Aside from chasing the food?” “You know what I think he might yeah,” Balethon replied sarcastically, gently tapping the static lizard twice on the head. The lizard didn’t do much save skitter about on his shoulder to face Balethon’s head, one eye pointing in whichever direction. ‘That thing just looks so dumb,’ Saph thought to herself as Ray handed her a mug. “Oh thank you.” “Okay, Skitters. Up,” Balethon went, raising a claw into the air as if he wanted the lizard to jump. Or perhaps stand up. “Up… come on.” There was no reaction from the lizard aside from it jerking to the left a bit, possibly having spotted a fly or something. “Weeeell obedience might need some work,” Udanti chuckled. “Have you tried with some food in your hand?” “Sure, then he just tries to eat the hand. Come on, Skitters. Up!” Balethon tried again, doing the gesture once more. And this time the little lizard jumped into the air. The little legs stretched out, taking its pitiful excuse for wings with it, and it half-fell half-glided to the floor where it hit with all the grace of a 6 year old on his first lesson. The slightly fat lizard bounced once, then rolled over twice before coming to a stop, looking around confused. “Aaayyy! That’s a good boi,” Balethon went, going to pick it up again before someone stepped on it or it ran off under the tables. “And now you get a treat.” True to his word Skitters was fed a small piece of something or other which it seemed quite happy to snap up. Fengi leaned in to whisper to Saph. “Was that the trick or did it just get sick of staying there?” “I have no idea,” Saph replied, holding up her mug. “Cheers though.” “Cheers,” Fengi replied as they clinked mugs. “Oh hang on now, wait for me,” Essy protested as Ray finished pouring her mug and started on her own, looking to the girls as she questioned “Oh, also what about Jacky? Should we wait for her?” “Who knows how long that will take?” Fengi replied, holding her mug impatiently. “I’m sure she won’t mind. She is with Tom. We’ll let him have a mug as well,” Essy added with a reassuring nod, looking up to the high table. “Oh but we are missing Lin!” “Oh right yeah she paid too… I can’t remember, did Edita chip in?” “I don’t think so,” Sapphire replied, shaking her head as Essy got up to go fetch Linkosta. Balethon decided to take her place, a big grin on his face. “So what else is going on over here?” “Oh not much, hellooo little guy,” Pho went, trying to give skitters a scritching. In exchange he tried to eat her finger. “Oh… I mean I guess it doesn’t hurt.” “Oh yeah, he can’t hurt a fly… well he can, but nothing more.” “Shame he won’t get any bigger either,” Udanti added, nodding sagely. “Would have made a good rat hunter.” “Nah… toe hunter though. Also where is the ale at?” “Oh Raulf and Wiperna are getting ale and some of the bubble beer.” “What is bubble beer?” Udanti questioned, tilting her head. “Oh you’ll love it,” Saph interjected, waiting patiently as she saw Essy and Linkosta returning to the table out of the corner of her eye. “It’s an ale but it’s all fizzy.” “Riiight… I’ve heard of fizzy beers before.” “Oh yes, but this one is so much more fizzy.” “It’s light and almost springlike.” “Light ale? You mean for kids?” “No no no. Just trust us it’s good.” “Right right, I trust you,” the archer replied, looking to Essy and Linkosta, who seemed to be looking for a place to sit. “Should we not just put two end to end rather than this scrunching up business?” “Yeah we should… Right get the craftsman table over here then. We don’t wanna have to smell the guards,” Saph called out, holding up her mug. “Hey! That was uncalled for,” Balethon protested as Ray passed a mug to Linkosta. The girls all raised their mugs and had a sip, not willing to wait any longer. They all smacked their chops a little, looking down at the golden liquid. It was slightly fizzy too… and it tasted like the brew of the gods themselves. Ray was looking at them all visibly tense with anticipation and perhaps a twinge of fear. “Ray… You have not disappointed,” Saph declared, nodding her approval, a smile creeping onto her face once more. “Oh this is the best drink I think I’ve ever had,” Fengi added, taking another gentle sip. Ray looked visibly relieved, her expression changing to one of ecstasy as she too took a sip herself. “Oh it’s even better than I remember. I’m glad you liked it.” “Like it?! I love it!” Fengi cheers, Essy giving an appreciative nod to Ray before looking to Lin. “Sooo?” “It’s very good… Do you think we could try and cool it down a little? Imagine this cold.” “It is often served cold, yes,” Ray confirmed, nodding her assent. “I’ll go get the powder!” Saph called out, getting up. “I have got to try that.” __________________________________________________________________________________ The strange ethereal world that had seemed so all-consuming started to quickly fade. Holes grew as light and reality started seeping in, sounds and noise starting to build around him. “Oom-Tom… Tom, are you okay?” came the familiar voice of Jacky as his eyes shot open and he blinked a few times as he returned to reality proper. “Yeah yeah, I’m here… That is trippy, but hey, I think it worked.” “How many fingers?” Jacky questioned, holding up her hand. “4. Clear as day.” “Pheeew. Okay look around, anything strange?” Tom obeyed, sitting up a bit straighter and glancing about the room. “Nnnnn, nope all good. Just like last time I used one of these.” “Right, good. Now what did she say?” “Oh a bunch of stuff… mostly we chatted a bit about how she’s going a touch mad. Even Glazz thinks she’s falling apart at the seams apparently. She was also not happy I wanted a break.” “Oh don’t tell me you have to do this every day from now on?” “I said she had 3 days to get ready to try again. Hopefully she’ll have her case worked out by then.” “Here’s to hoping… also how is your head? Does it hurt?” “A bit, it’ll go away I’m sure.” “Right,” Jacky replied, looking at him skeptically. “If it gets worse, tell me. But dinner was served a while ago I think. So I went to top up my phone the same as I usually do searched "three top up" the first sponsored result is not the three website. The second screenshot shows it's URL up the top with "three" spelled as "theer", every other button on the website goes nowhere but looks aImost identical to the real one in the last image. I copped as after I put in card details it asked for a 6 digit confirmation code to be texted which I've never seen before, then I noticed the URL. Froze my card on the BOI app immediately and rang them up, they said there were multiple attempts caught after I'd frozen it so I was quite lucky. New card is on the way. I'm usually reminding my parents not to be clicking any links on dodgy texts but they genuinely got past me on this one today so just watch out

The short story is when we were dating, my husband went on a date with a woman, kept in touch with her, and tried to go on another date 2 months before he proposed. We recently went to an alumni event for his graduate school, and when we were there, a woman came up to me and we had an awkward conversation- she started off by saying that she was inviting herself to my wedding (we got married on paper and are having the ceremony later) and made a comment that “husband sure does know what he wants”. On the way home, husband said “you know how I said that a girl flirted with me very aggressively and groped me? That was her”. The thing is- he absolutely never told me that. When I said he never told me, he insisted that he did. I asked that he give me more information and he told me that she had invited him out to lunch, she was so attractive that he didn’t think she would be hitting on him, she flirted with him, and he shut it down. This happened when we were officially dating about 5 months into our relationship. Something did not seem right about the story so I pressed him for more information and he said that they had also tried to meet up for tea one more time but it didn’t happen then he got angry and said that he was trying to be patient but I was over reacting so I let it go. The next day, I brought it up again and asked for more information because I was upset that he had tried to meet up with her again. He then changed his story and said that the second meeting was going to be at a Super Bowl party and he would have brought me along. He said that he never said that he would have met her for tea and I should hear how ridiculous I sounded. I then had to go to work so I said I would text him. When I was at work, I asked for her Instagram handle because I wanted to get her side of the story. She said that they met up once, kept in touch, had tried to meet up again and she didn’t show up. She specifically said it was not a date. I told her that my husband had said that she was flirting with him and if she had been I wasn’t upset with her because she would have had no way of knowing he was in a relationship. At this, she got offended and said that if he had thought that he should not have asked her out again and say that she would be unfollowing him and would not talk to him anymore. I reached back out to my husband to let her know what she said and he got angry and said that she absolutely had flirted with him. I asked him again for more information and he said that he walked her back to her car and on the way, they also stopped at a boutique and then she looked at desserts. This is getting long, so in short : I got home and looked at his phone. He had deleted parts of their conversation and it turns out that he asked her out, they took selfies with her holding his arm, him with his arm around her, spent 3 hours at the first restaurant, took funny pictures at the boutique, went to a second restaurant and spent an hour there. They then kept in touch and he literally never mentioned me once. They had not made plans to met at the Super Bowl party, he had asked her out again to the same restaurant and she literally stood him up. He still talked to her after that and remembered her birthday. He also tried to meet up with another woman that he had been dating when we were not exclusive well into our relationship. When I ask him explain, he either says that he doesn’t know why he did it, he forgot it happened or he didn’t think it was a big deal. This is part of a continuing pattern though where he disregards my feelings. I am really struggling because this absolutely breaks my trust but it never got physical so I’m not sure if it is really that bad?
