Is there anything to the idea of going out fast early because you'll be tired in the second half anyway so you might as well get as much as you can when you're fresh?
I paced someone for a 100 recently who showed up so early I had to pick him up at the next AS where he came in at 7th. He told me he was trying to bank time early because he knows he's going to feel like crap in the last part so get as much as you can out of the 1st half. Well, it seemed to blow up spectacularly in that he couldn't muster a good form the entire time we were together from 40-70, and apparently walked most of the end. Was he onto something at all?
I'm watching some other stuff and from talking to people I hear a lot of, don't go out too hard. That does seem to make sense. One video says it's easy to go out too hard, but it's impossible to go out too slow.
Is that true? Is there a point at which it doesn't matter whether you went out slow or fast, you're going to be fatigued anyway, and you won't have the ability to speed up? Or is it really that if you take the first half light and walk a lot, you may be able to run some of that 80-100 while everyone's staggering.
I know it's all individual experience but I'm curious what others thoughts are on this. My 1st 100 is this weekend.

Hi! I was dating a guy, and we had an incredible chemistry! On the fifth date we started having sleepovers! Cooking, kissing, watching movies and cuddling.... I brought all the things I needed to spend the weekend at his house but the first night I slept over with him, he lent me his clothes to sleep in and I will never forget the look on his face when he saw me wearing his clothes! And I must admit I looked super cool in his t shirt and sporty overalls!
So from the first time I never wore my pjs to sleep! Even the next day, he would ask me not to wear my clothes until we had to leave, so while I was waiting for him to cook breakfast and then we would eat I was still wearing his clothes!

26 F ive had star since she was 6 months we essentially grew up together, shes my first ever pet now we live on our own. I'm a huge fan of raw feeding my dog after watching 'petfooled' (2016), made the change to her diet immediately; Swapping her kibble to grain free incorperating raw meats, fresh bones, vegetables hip & joint suppliments. Realized at the time, I was too inconsistent with that kind of feeding. (pre neurologically-based disability diagnois) kept her on the rachel rays grain free Chicken kibble hoping that would improve her longevity. At that time she was catching a UTI so frequently (monthly) Drs wouldnt perscribe antibiotics without running tests, cause still unknown. Observational learning told me that, on top of her seasonal allergies she could be allergic to poultry, changed from chicken to salmon, it helped the shedding! Since 2020 shes had a whole host of ailments come up, I'm sure that's due to her senior age. She does go get regular check ups. pre hypothyroid diagnosis ive always struggled with her weight from adolesence to middle age which would range from 75-80, that was without any treats and 20 min walks at the time she was only getting 2.5C of food daily per drs instructions. her dr is less than helpful when it comes to quality of life improvements: dissmissing my concerns with "shes just fine of shes just old" then finally getting her to test positive for hypothyroidsm was a big one.
Since living on my own in '22 I've made some consistent changes low impact exercise (collected) 3 orthopedic dog beds, a cooling comfort bed, ive even changed my standard matress to an orthopedic one just incase she sleeps in my bed.
Star a 2012 F 29kg/65 lb. American Staffordshire Terrier model with hyperthyroidism, Cushing Disease, chronic UTI's and repaired CCL rupture.
Her 2x Daily meal is : 1 Levothyroxine every 12 h 2 Fluoxetine every 24 h 3 Benadryl every 12h 8oz Rachel Rays Grain free salmon kibble 117 G of ground raw dog food from a local butchers consisting of turkey, bones and offal. not a fan of it being turkey since poultry allergy. 12oz Brutus Beef Bone Broth. Misc. Vegetables has about 3/4 water bowls around our living space.
I've slowly incorporated those items into her diet over the past couple of years and it seems to help in other ways. Con her fur continues to thin her tail is nearly bald, pro now only seems to get Uti & incontinence when im out of her raw dog food. i wish i new the science behind that. con/pro? shes extreamly thin now- boney and lethargic. Am i doing whats best? should i make more changes? is this what its like preparing for them to cross the rainbow bridge? any feed back/conversation would be helpful.

I binged watched both seasons of The Gilded Age in two long nights. I loved it. Though this series is fictional, it is based in the real historical years, between 1870s - 1900. I don't know what parts of this series could and could not have been accurate. My following comments are general and don't give away the plot.
First off, I must applaud the casting director! Every actor did a brilliant job. There wasn't a weak link. The Gilded Age is an acting tour de force, and I kept trying to find flaws. I couldn't. I am familiar with Cynthia Nixon, Audra McDonald, and Christine Baranski. All of them played characters very distant from previous roles, as if to say to Daniel Day Lewis, "We too can become invisible and match your method acting." I was stupified.
All of the other actors were great too and, because I didn't know the actors, they felt like real people in a real world. Carrie Coon, as Bertha, I mean... Mrs. Russell, was excellent. In a world of women, Morgan Spector, as George Russell, clamped down on aggressive, predatory manhood the way we would expect a robber baron to do. The excesses of The Guilded Age were a result of slavery and the exploitation of forced labor.
I am not a historian so I am not convinced of the believability of Peggy and the Scott family's storyline. The racism the Scott's face was written into the screenplay but the friction was not felt to a large degree. Perhaps black families in this area of Brooklyn could lead relatively peaceful lives? Perhaps Peggy could live in high society with little pushback. I don't know. These are thoughts and questions I have. In defense of the screenwriters, there is no directive for them to write about the "typical" black experience. This is the Scott family how they envisioned it. Accept it.
There are more pressing issues for me. As much as I loved all the different dress changes on the women, no one wore the same dress twice. This didn't seem believable. Of course, Bertha Russell had unlimited resources and wouldn't wear the same dress twice but Ada Brook, who moved into her Aunt Agnes's house would surely have a limited collection. I would expect Peggy Scott to have a limited wardrobe too. All the wardrobe changes seemed unrealistic to me, though it was a feast for the eyes. The costume team deserves great applause.
Another critique is that the cinematography and special effects teams worked on too tight of a budget, and it showed. Sometimes it felt as if we were watching a Merchant Ivory film through the lens of Mary Poppins. The production teams did the best they could but naturalism and realistic rendering of light, shadow, and absolute believability was suspended to save money. Outdoor scenes were especially shaky. There was a time when HBO spared no expense for the production teams, for instance, in Carnivale, Rome, and Deadwood. I'm glad that HBO is bringing back The Gilded Age for a third season but I also hope that they give the lighting team, cinematographers, and special effects team more money to create a more realistic and immersive experience.

I have been trying for a long time to find a zombie movie I watched when I was little, but I couldn't find it. I even gave ChatGPT all kinds of details, but to no avail. The movie starts by showing a couple traveling by car. Then they hit a zombie on the road but they didn't know it was a zombie so they let it in the car. After a while the zombie in the back seat wakes up and bites the man on the neck. The woman escaped from the car and went to a farmhouse-like house, but there were a lot of zombies there, like a barn, and she was trying to get rid of them. I also seem to remember a scene in the movie where she kills zombies in high heels. And at the end, a group of people put the zombies in a cage, but the woman in the main character was also in the cage. So I don't know if they are accurate but I think there were details like that. Please tell me what you can think of and I will look them all up.

Listen i hope this post doesn’t offend anyone , I’m gonna just keep it honest and it will probably maybe make me look stupid or come across horribly
This is probably something i should discuss with a therapist but hey i live rural and all i can say is that therapists up my way don’t have great reputations
Ever since i was young i used to love movies , TV shows and especially reality TV. I became quickly obsessed with the whole idea of celebrity wanting to be one from a small age. I remember seeing Big Brother 7 UK when i was only 6 and becoming obsessed with it and wanting to go on it my whole life. When i finally turned 18 and it got cancelled i was furious. I know that I’m deluded one part of my mind keeps me grounded knowing i would be one in a million getting on a show like that but this other part is oddly convinced that i was born for this , my purpose is to be famous on this earth to the brink that it hurts. Nearly all i think about is about being famous and i would metaphorically kill for it.
Even in general I’m obsessed with celebrities i know so many random facts about thousands of celebrities. The moment i watch something I’m usually googling stuff about the cast. Most my convos with friends lead back to reality tv shows i watch like housewives etc. i know i probably drive them crazy with it.
I sound so ego centric and i guess i am with it all in a huge way i do see myself as the main character and even the villain at times but although i have this ego side I’m also very self conscious and critical of myself. I hate the way i look i hate that I’m not good enough. Sometimes i just feel I’m moving on a different wave length on this world to other people. I see them as characters in my life at times. I often feel way more bonded to my pets the only thing that keeps me to reality i love animals with all my heart even more than fame etc
I get upset sometimes in my job which is quite a good job for my age that it just isn’t me being famous. I get sad and depressed that i don’t have fans following me , i would want nothing more than the paparazzi chasing me and caring about me. People coming up and being star struck. It’s just a dream i know is wrong and cant shift. I don’t know why I’m like this my mum is the opposite of this and my dad who i had a strained relationship with hates celebrities etc. it was my gran who passed that got me into to films and i used to like “performing” for her putting on shows as a kid there some of my good memories. She was one of the only family members who fully appreciated me

Am I even alive anymore? I dont even feel like it. I just go to work, go home, and lay around till i have to work again cause i simply don't have the will to make myself get out anymore. Ive always struggled so much with sharing, but for a few years i actually had friends, A girlfriend, a free year of college, and yet i somehow ruined all these things and i can't even rationally explain why. Each time i was so terrified. I feel so much fear. I just don't know what the point of living is when i have nobody to share any of it with. Im so antisocial but entirely out of fear, i fear i give the impression i just enjoy being alone. I probably do give off that impression, but am i supposed to actually show how utterly destroyed my soul is to my coworkers? No. They are just there to work. My parents know but theres nothing they can do to make me talk to people. Im an adult. And so I am left with a few old friends that occasionally chit chat every few days over text. But it's just not right. I cant stand being alone like this constantly but i just don't have it within me to pull myself out of my funk. At this point im so use to feeling awful, im even scared to feel anything else. I know theres nobody that can fix me but me, but without a gf or something that gives me the purpose to get out bed, I just don't know how to escape this self-imposed isolation. The solution is obvious, go out and talk to people, but paralyzing fear is a hard mountain to conquer ill tell ya what
