Hi, new to this subreddit, but have done a fair bit of lurking recently. Y’all seem like a wonderful bunch, so, I thought I’d give this question a shot.
As many of y’all probably know, the housing market… well, let’s just say it ain’t a “buyer’s market”, that’s for sure.
At current, my wife and I own a very small house that, if we wish to start a family, is just too small. We are also permanently residing with my wife’s mother. So, picture it, there’s three of us in a 2 bd/1bth house. So, yea, it’s a bit cramped to say the least.
However, our cost of living is practically highway robbery, we actually took the house over from my wife’s mom (she bought the house in, I wanna say… 2012). We live in Los Angeles and our mortgage is currently approx. $1,300/month. We cover the entire cost/maintenance of the home for an insanely affordable price.
At current, we’re in our early/mid 30s, want kids, one actually, but aren’t in a rush. We’ve been married five years, life is good. However, we would really love to travel and haven’t really gotten the chance to do so yet.
So, I’m wondering — what’s your opinion, should we penny pinch to afford a bigger house first OR should we start making travel plans and see the world beforehand?

So I’ve been thinking about this game for a long time, but nothing I search seems to bring me any luck. I feel like this might be a shot in the dark but it’s worth trying. I played it sometime in my childhood on an IPad. It was essentially Pokémon, so I would say it was an adventure game. I unfortunately cannot remember what year it would be for the life of me, or if the game was new or old when I played it, but it was likely somewhere around 2012-2016? It had a BEAUTIFUL art style, I want to say hand drawn but professionally. It was an extremely well made game. Sort of like “bread kittens”, but much more cleanly drawn, but a similar layout to that game. I don’t think where was any specific characters, but rather enemies you’d meet in the way. The game was essentially going through different levels, which were maze like, with a clear path and a start and finish, collecting these characters, and fighting the enemy at the end to get to the next level. There Pokémon type creatures were super unique and not like Pokémon at all, but themed around different elements. The things I remember most is the beginning, I swear there was some sort of boat in the sky that brought you to the island. There was also multiplayer battles in an arena type area. I know this is a bit generic, but it was a really well made game and besides the concept of catching and fighting creatures, didn’t feel like a rip off at all. It definitely has a community around it somewhere

I've recently got into pc gaming so forgive me if I'm being an idiot but when I try to play the game it shows an error saying I need visual c ++. I've tried downloading this from windows website but the only one i can download is the 2008 version. When I download the file for the 2012-22 version and click the app download to install it does nothing at all. Any help would be massively appreciated.

Like the tittle say, my better cr is finna follow my life. Expect few things is changing. I’ll be more active and doing some sports I’ve been wanting to do everything. Hanging out with friends and more. All of my middle school teachers will be the same. My friends are the same as well. My parents are different people expect I have no siblings. I know I said this many times. I’ll be living my childhood home Ik the whole layout of my childhood home. I act the same way I act in school & in classes. I can’t wait to go back 2012 and have fun. I will bonding close with my parents especially my dr mom. Both my parents will be married in my dr. I fixed up my slowly I’m so excited to shift there. I’ll be having the same class there like I did there. I’m in some clubs in middle school. My middle school was kinda fun. Especially like spirit week or whatever. I loved my teachers I had in my middle school. Once I shift it’ll be couple days before the first day of school. Then I got my first phone before middle school. Also be meeting my first best friend in my middle school. But we didn’t start getting long wanna say first few week of school. Then the next day we got long. It happen in my cr but somehow we got super close. I can’t wait go back 2012 because I can see all of my friends. Almost every night I think about my better cr. Needless to remind people of the good old Deccan Chargers days. I was young and didn't follow cricket at that time. My dad would always watch it, so I would catch glimpses of CSK playing in 2011 and 2012 times. Soon, I had an interest and wanted to support a relatively unknown team, or an underdog if you will. In 2013 with SRH being announced, I wanted to properly support a brand new team. I was still learning to understand the game; I was 15 at the time. Loved watching Steyn and just always loved watching good bowling more than batting. Of course, I enjoy the batting powerhouse we have become. But throughout this journey of being an SRH fan, I have noticed the love affair we have had for Aussies and Sri Lankans in our squad. Gilchrist leading DC to a title, then the great Sanga leading us to the playoffs in our first season as SRH. Perera's all-round show. David Warner in 2016 leading us to a title when RCB were cruising the chase. Who could forget Ben Cutting's best all-round performance in a final. Yuvi striking like crazy in that game. Bhuvi defending 18 runs off the final over by conceding just 10!
Now fast forward to 2024, we have David Warner's role split into 2. The duo of Cummins with captaincy and Warner 2.0 batting with Travis. And should we play a final like this again, maybe even against RCB, we'll have a similar squad. We have Nitish who has risen, and dare I say may even be our Ben Cutting with all-round stellar show we have seen from him thus far, not quite up to Ben's level but still. I know before I wanted Samad to be our Ben Cutting, but I think Nitish is more suited for that because he can bowl too, gives us 2 or 3 overs. Bhuvi is, of course, still with us, regaining his confidence, just like the 2016 Bhuvi. We have Yuvi's presence again through Abhi. Bipul Sharma, left-arm spinner, we now have Shahbaz. We have quite a few upgrades now for our wicket-keeping in Klaasen, 6 hitter in Samad (once he regains his confidence), Nattu who is reliable at the death, Pace train in Umran, and a genuine spin bowling option in Vijayakanth, the Sri Lankan flair coming back. Few interesting similarities about Vijayakanth is that he's relatively unknown like Mustafizur was back in 2016 and in 2018 we had a spinner that performed superbly for us, you know the name... Could it all be coming together for us? Could he be our missing piece, especially on a slow Chepauk track? Could Mayank play an anchor role like Dhawan and redeem himself? Time will tell.
Of course, it would have been nice to give Glen Phillips a try, and who knows, maybe he's our trump card? Maybe Cummins and Vettori are planning something we just don't know yet, or they are happy with the setup we have now. But there's yet another similarity if Glen Phillips is to sit out... remember in 2016 we had Trent Boult, Kane Williamson, and even Eoin Morgan sitting on the bench! Any other team, they would have been a regular in the 11! We insisted on Fizz, we insisted on Ben Cutting and Moises. Did it work out? No, not really, other than Ben Cutting; the other two had an average game. And remember, we won! We WON the final! Not sure if there is a certain luck aspect associated here but in 2016 both Kiwis did not play and in 2018 when we had a kiwi playing despite his amazing 700+ season, our title hopes wasn't to be. Another luck aspect to think about is of course the jersey, SA20 back to back winners, Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
I'm perhaps getting a bit too ahead of myself thinking of a final, but the fact of the matter is we have done so well thus far because it has been Cummins and Vettori's team through and through. They are sticking to their guts and saying this is what we are doing. Mayank, Tripathi, Sundar, Umran, Jansen, and Markram, our former captain, half the side that played in the 2022 season, dropped! They have good reasons for it, and that's okay. Just trust them! We were the underdogs at the start of the season once again, just like we were in 2016. THIS is our key. No one sees us coming; people still don't rate us though we have shown the world how T20 batting is done. I want us to be the underdogs; I want us to keep surprising; I want us to be the calm and composed fans that we have prided ourselves to be. Let's not become toxic, it was never our style. Please don't abuse the players or foul mouth other teams. Appreciate and enjoy them. Even if we lose both games and we don't qualify, I'm okay with that, same with winning the cup. Whatever happens SRH forever! We as the fans have had a season to remember for the ages.

You are going to T20 World Cup as a T20 bowler when people doubted your abilities in the shortest format after picking you at the auctions. Hi, I found a very old Iphone I would like to get some pictures off of. My computer doesn't recognize it, but it connects to wifi, so I think my best bet would be try to message it to myself. I'm trying to log into my apple ID to get Imessage to work, however I think it's rejecting it because now its requiring 2 factor authentication ... but I don't think this phone understand what that is. I don't have a pop up option to enter in my code. Anyway around this to get imessage to work? Or another way to get old photos off of it? I'm not sure which Iphone it is, I bought it in 2012 or 2013 - it says version 6.1.3,

So very recently I went back to work and have been re-connecting with old friends and acquaintances. As a result of this process I have started to think a lot about one of my old friends from 12 years ago. We knew each other for a few years and were very close. She ended up moving away back in 2012 and I haven't seen or spoken to her since. Part of me is really craving to reconnect with her, but I'm so anxious and nervous about what she will say or think of me after all this time, that I can't bring myself to do it. Does anybody have any helpful methods for going about this without being utterly rejected or making a complete and total fool of myself? I already have a great fear of rejection and to be rejected over simply saying hello is way too overwhelming for me to even contemplate.

The interviewees from the Australian side in the clip (including lawyer) said they cannot assume every single target was just innocently targeted, but the primary issue (correctly) is abusing sovereignty. Famously some things intelligence apparatuses never do /s. Genuinely there would be greater trust if relations were not Cold War coded. The reporter is Echo Hui and some of her professional background as a journalist Some things to note: The former agent who speaks out (called Erik) was originally a member of (by the own reporter's admission) "was a member of a u.s-based pro-democracy organisation" known as the China Social Democratic Party (CSDP). He was one day called for questioning by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) First (1st) Bureau: Political Security Protection Bureau (PSPB). My mother has been having horrible nightmares for about 6 weeks now but has yet to come clean and tell me or anyone else about them. But first, let me give a brief background about the dreams we have had. My grandpa (mom's dad) had the "6th sense"/ESP or whatever you'd like to call it. I thought that it was complete bs growing up until he appeared in my mother's dream one night. At this point in life my grandpa had been in a hospital for 6 months then was just switched to a nursing home for the last 6. He and wasn't able to talk much but still fully coherent to his surroundings. One random morning in November 2012 my mom woke up me and my brother in a panicked state crying her eyes out and we could tell immediately that she knew something that she could not even try to explain at that moment. On our way to the hospital we are asking her what's going on and all she could say was "Daddy told me to go to him because he was fixing to leave." We were speechless. My grandfather had not said a full sentence in months yet somehow told her he is leaving?! When we made it to the nursing home the doctors/nurses were still trying to give him CPR. He wasn't even pronounced dead yet when we made it to his room. She eventually told us what actually happened when she was able to calm down. She says that he sat up out of a casket and pointed at his watch (that man ALWAYS wore one) and told her "Amy, come here my darling. It is time for me to go." That made me a whole hearted 110% "6th sense/ESP" believer to say the least. 6 weeks ago my My mom randomly calls me at 4:30am on a Wednesday and asked me if me and my brother were okay. ( We Travel together for work All over the country) I said of course we are and left it at that. Well earlier I was at her house cleaning up her kitchen and cooking some food for supper and she wakes up in a frantic State and immediately calls out for me and my brother. I would not let it go this time and begged her to tell me what her dream was and when she confessed...

We live in hcol I work full time and pay for our health benefits, (he has an office in the apartment and we still split rent 50/50 (when he has the money to) and pay for all household goods and groceries (unless he is working and he will pay for half) I do most of the large purchases, car, insurance vacations, electricity and water and cell phones and he has the internet. He had liked to live month to month while trying to work as little as possible. I enjoy being with him when he has time for his own pursuits and he doesn’t like 9-5 life so I’m very happy with him not working as much as I do.
The thing is, is that he has been telling me that I don’t do enough, or that he doesn’t ask anything of me, or that I don’t spend enough quality time with him. He doesn’t like that I spend time after work reading or listening to audio books, scrolling Reddit or watching Tv. He says that he wants to see me being productive. He talks about how I need to have more productive hobbies. Like instead of reading, writing, or if I’m reading, blogging or reviewing it. He wants me to go on walks. He says I’d be less depressed if I did more things. He calls the time I spend in the evening mindlessly scrolling and said today that all the time I spend on my phone I could be spending with him. My screen time average is 2.5 hours/day. I’m pretty sure he thinks I’m just wasting my whole life away, it makes me think that he thinks very low of me.

It’s still hard for me though because I always have to make sure I have the money because I never know if he will be able to contribute or not. I don’t really want to work a bunch either. I am also just a work enough to survive kinda person.
The biggest issue I have is that I don’t think he respects me. Because how could you have such a low opinion of someone you respect? Why does he keep saying that I don’t do anything or that he doesn’t ask anything of me. How can he love someone who doesn’t do anything? He says that he is just trying to better me but I’m okay with myself. I’m not perfect but I’m not bad.
It’s true, I’m depressed and love to get cozy in the couch for hours at a time while listening to an audiobook and scrolling Reddit . I do clean on weekends that I don’t also work. I do the dishes twice a week and vacuum and clean the toilet every weekend. I do the litter box every other month. (It’s the crystal that get changed monthly) I buy the cat food and we split feeding them unless I’m working. I don’t do the dishes daily though(I get depressed with the endless daily tasks) I offered to buy a dishwasher because I had no problem doing that daily but he didn’t want me to spend money on it. I prefer to do larger weekly tasks because it’s hard for me to have the energy daily. I don’t like to cook after work so I’ll order us dinner or pick groceries that are quick meals. This is not what he considers healthy though and prefers to cook us healthy meals.
To me this relationship is me finding compromises and him finding reasons why I’m not doing things right. I am trying my best but I just feel like it’s never enough.
Am I crazy for being hurt by his attitude towards me despite him saying it’s to better me? Is my depression and laziness after work making me a bad partner or is my partner not being understanding of my needs?

First-time poster here: Trying to fix a separate problem with my fiance's 2012 Lincoln Mkz (v6 engine) where the oil pressure warning comes on when braking and idle, but i need diagnostics to see what the pressure is actually doing beyond an on/off warning switch. When I went to attach my OBD bluetooth dongle that I've used on two other vehicles with no problem (with Torque app), it didn't work. I replaced the blown fuse for the OBD connector, and several things happened.
First, the car wouldn't start, saying that my battery was dead, oil was low, that I had no fuel, check engine light, etc. I had the vehicle maintennanced today before messing with the OBD, and have verified that there were no codes before this and that the battery was functional. Following this, I pulled, checked, and resituated the ignition switch fuse in case it was the issue. The car was able to start after this point, but still had instruments reading that there was no fuel, a dead battery, a check engine warning, and several other alerts while it was running. I pulled the dongle off, and all instruments returned to normal except a solid check engine light that I can only imagine is whatever codes the glitch threw. Though, I obviously can't check on the codes to confirm this as long as the OBD port keeps acting up.
I'm wondering how this device could even cause this? Could a short in the connector do it, or would this have to be some deeper kind of electrical issue? I'm open to the possibility that i messed up something in the fuse box, although i only pulled and replaced two fuses. Also, how is an OBD Bluetooth dongle messing with the instruments this much? I thought this was only capable of reading sensor info, not actually doing any sort of interference with the ECM or anything. Lastly, I'll take any recommendations for how to test and fix the problem. I'm happy to add any further info that I can, if needed. However, my car knowledge doesn't go very far beyond replacing tires and changing oil.

Issue with vehicle running lean at idle and highway speeds if you have any I sight and don't want to read the whole thing
So i have a question, hoping someone might have some insight. I recently bought a modded 2012. Didnt know exactly what was done besides the usual. Well I thought that the snout bearing and/or isolator was going bad so I ordered a gm snout kit amd proceeded to attempt an install. Got the supercharger off to find it has a solid isolator already but more importantly, the snout and blower are ported. Meaning I cannot just install the new snout.
So I resealed the snout and supercharger to vehicle. I also installed a flex fuel sensor at the same time. After I was done drove vehicle to find it went lean. Hp tuners says fuel trims defaulted to zero and vehicle is running off of mass airflow. Defaulted to no fuel trims is another issue altogether. The main concern is when it does read it is +24 to +30 fuel trims in both banks. I already was home at this point so I had limited tools. Started spraying around with carb cleaner thinking I messed up a seal or sealant. No change when spraying around, but I couldn't quite get to the underside. Next, I unplugged the mass airflow sensor to find fuel trims return to normal. This tells me either the sensor went bad for some reason or there is unmetered air in the engine. I did some more looking around at my vacuum lines and everything but nothing came up. Blocked off evap purge and pcv system, no change. Removed and plugged vacuum lines to the vacuum actuator, no change. Finally removed supercharger again and inspected all my sealant, and everything looked good but I resealed it anyway.
Fuel trims are still high, mostly around +25. Brought it in and connected a power smoke machine to it set at 5psi. Can only see some coming out of the air raid intake pcv port. Sealed up the port and reinstalled, no change. Mass airflow at idle before was 2.1 lb/hr and now it is 1.9 lb/hr
Only thing I can think of at this point is something was wrong before and it was tuned for whatever was wrong and now that I "fixed" something it is now tuned incorrectly. Posting this on hp tuners as well but figured maybe someone has some Information

2024.05.14 01:54 Jesse-Murray I’ve had it with this bike! It's Running Rich has Loud Backfires and keeps Stalling Out on the road. Does this bike have a fix?
I’ve got a 2012 Suzuki S40 Boulevard, and ever since I bought it the bike hasn’t run properly. The private dealer sold me the bike and it had a rebuilt title and they didn’t tell me. It only has 3,800kms on it too
My issues are:
The bike runs rich and eats through fuel like crazy, the spark plug has carbon build up and so does the inside of the exhaust.
it sputters and bucks as I drive and backfires on down shifts. Sometimes if I give it a lot of gas or if it runs for 10 mins the backfire will be as loud as a rifle.
A lot of people have been saying to replace the petcock so that’s the first thing I did, I replaced it with a new factory petcock. That did nothing, However I’ve heard that the Raptor petcock bypassing the vacuum is a much better option. So maybe the new petcock I got was also faulty?
I did a full Carb clean, it had 0 Gunk or carbon build up, It was as clean as a whistle. That did nothing, now I was wondering because I couldn’t find a straight answer. The jets in the carb are screwed all the way in right? Or do I need to count the turns for all the jets?
The rubber hoses for a few of the Carb lines are looking rough so I should replace those and see what that does. If the Petcock vacuum hose has a small leak, would this cause my problems?
Replaced the air filter, nothing…
My muffler was rusty so I check for exhaust leaks and it doesn’t have any. The pipe on the head was actually kind of loose so I tightened it and it did nothing.
My next steps are:
Raptor Petcock, Replace Carb lines, New muffler, maybe a new carb or a proper rebuild but mine is basically brand new. After this I am stumped, I have no clue what to do. I might just pay to have a shop inspect it and see what in the world is going on. Every fix I find here on the internet doesn’t work.

My issues are:
The bike runs rich and eats through fuel like crazy, the spark plug has carbon build up and so does the inside of the exhaust.
it sputters and bucks as I drive and backfires on down shifts. Sometimes if I give it a lot of gas or if it runs for 10 mins the backfire will be as loud as a rifle.
A lot of people have been saying to replace the petcock so that’s the first thing I did, I replaced it with a new factory petcock. That did nothing, However I’ve heard that the Raptor petcock bypassing the vacuum is a much better option. So maybe the new petcock I got was also faulty?
I did a full Carb clean, it had 0 Gunk or carbon build up, It was as clean as a whistle. That did nothing, now I was wondering because I couldn’t find a straight answer. The jets in the carb are screwed all the way in right? Or do I need to count the turns for all the jets?
The rubber hoses for a few of the Carb lines are looking rough so I should replace those and see what that does. If the Petcock vacuum hose has a small leak, would this cause my problems?
Replaced the air filter, nothing…
My muffler was rusty so I check for exhaust leaks and it doesn’t have any. The pipe on the head was actually kind of loose so I tightened it and it did nothing.
