I was extremely unhealthy before being medicated.
I don’t really want to get into details but I had poor personal hygiene, was a NEET, and contemplated self-harm/hospitlization.
Nowadays, medication has me in a much better place, and those thoughts are no longer on my mind. With my new mental state, I was able to build my life up and restructure all of the bad habits that I had created. I started working out, eating healthy, taking care of personal hygiene, etc. It's surprising, but people have started to notice - saying I look better and seem happier.
Even more surprising, my health has massively improved. My diabetes numbers have dropped a lot, to the point where my doctor is talking about stopping some of my meds (a1c 13% - 5.5%). I still indulge in what I want, but I've stopped binging, which seems to have made the difference.
Studying has become a pain-free endeavor for me now. This newfound ease allows me to concentrate and learn for longer periods. I know I didn't overcome the pain head on, but I still feel really proud! These past few months have been a real turnaround for me, and I'm happy to have made it this far!
Medication marked a turning point for me. However, the journey to find the right dose was far from easy. It took a grueling two months of trial and error, with numerous obstacles along the way. Even with the right dose, it is not all "Sunshine and Rainbows". Let me share with you my latest setback. (Feel free to skip ahead if you're not in the mood for a slight downer. It is hidden!)
One of the bad habits I tackled was my diet. As I said before, I used to eat anything I want, but now I'm on a 1800 calorie, high protein/fiber diet. However, since making this change I noticed my medication severely lost its effect. Studying is painful again, walking my dog feels annoying, and I've skipped some hygiene routines/chores, etc. But I think I've found a reason?
I saw on this subreddit recommend that lowering acidic foods, and increasing protein may help stimulants metabolize better. But since my diet change, I’ve actually increased my protein intake and have eaten extremely healthy and clean. My theory is that since being on the diet, I’m getting less dopamine from food which causes the feeling of stimulant tolerance. If this were the case, then I simply need to increase my dosage or binge eat again to meet normal dopamine levels. Maybe my theory is just me coping really hard LMAOO.
I came across a recommendation on a subreddit suggesting that reducing acidic foods and increasing protein intake might improve the metabolism of stimulants. But despite my diet change, I’ve actually increased my protein intake and have eaten extremely healthy and clean. My theory is that since changing my diet, I'm receiving less dopamine from food, leading to a feeling of stimulant tolerance (I love food). If this is the case, then I need to increase dosage or return to previous eating habits to meet normal dopamine levels. Maybe my theory is just me coping really hard.
(tldr: dealing with tolerance maybe due to diet. Probably will be fixed!)
Despite the decreased effectiveness, I learned how to distinguish good/bad habits and draw on past experiences to stay on track. My diagnosis has undeniably been life-changing and impactful, but from my experience I'd hope no one views stimulants as some sort of "miracle drug".
Medication creates a path but it is up to me to walk down it. Like a child dreaming of a Winter Wonderland, I struggled a lot to achieve such experiences. Now, with medication as my tool, some days it offers a shovel, others a spoon. But it's up to me to scoop the snow, shape it, and to create all the wintery wonders I've dreamed of!
I never fathomed that’ll be able to accomplish all these things.
:D

2024.05.15 00:51 DeatonationgGrenade Side/main character additions for my book Anastasius!

Hello everyone! I’m running something for my book that I’m sure you’ll enjoy! I’m writing a book titled Anastasius which is Greek for Renewal. But I was thinking of a fun way to raise money for the book and a fun way to interact with potential readers! So I was thinking, if I give the characters who will be in my book, perhaps there could be a fundraiser for this! It will be $10 USD per character and there is no limit to how many characters you’d like! I’ll post the sheet for each character and you can pick and choose which tribe you’d like create your own character! If you have anymore questions I’ll be happy to answer! I take payments through PayPal as it’s the only thing I understand how to use!
Creatures of Renewal:
As written by Wyvern Scholars
Amphiptere:
Amphipteres generally were said to have light-colored feathers like a sunrise, a serpentine body, bat-like wings with feathers covering most of the forearm and often greenish in coloration, and a long tail much like a wyvern's tail. Others are described as covered in feathers with a spiked tail, bird-like wings, and a beak-like snout.
These small dragons are known to go after smaller prey like rodents and birds, as their habitatsavanna's heat, leavingrests. However, large colonies have been known to live in constructed settlements. Still, any knowledge of a leader has yet to be discovered. It has been rumored that the Amphiptere changes leaders when either the current one dies or willingly gives up the position of tribal leader.
Habitat: Forests, Jungles, or the forested remnants of human cities.
Arctic Dragon:
These giant, wooly dragons stand five feet taller than the most significant polar bears; their powerful muscles and jet-black skin under their blueish-white fur dominate most northern regions. Human settlements are where they prowl, waiting for humans hidden in these desolate territories for the perfect time to strike. These areas are far too cold for most dragons. Still, the Arctic dragon has adapted to survive in these brutal conditions. However, females only move southwards when their young are ready to be born. Once the younglings are old enough to walk short distances independently, the mother and cub begin trekking back toward the tundra.
Diet: These dragons hunt down various arctic prey, ranging from the smallest Arctic hares to the giant whales. Anything these dragons can get their talons on is food to them. Although young Arctic dragons do not have the speed or endurance their parents have, they rely on their parents to bring them back something they can eat.
Coatyl: The most noticeable feature of Coatyls is the feathered wings. These wings comprise a humerus connected to a radius and an ulna connected to metacarpals. The wings of a Coatyl allow it to fly, which is the primary method of locomotion. In unbonded Coatyls, the scapulars and front feathers are dark green, the covert feathers are light yellow or tan, and the primary and secondary flight feathers are red. Coatyls have pressurized sacs in the back of the mouth of a highly volatile and slightly acidic chemical known as coatalic acid. When threatened, muscles surrounding these sacs contract, pushing the coatalic acid out of small holes in the mouth and spraying it. When it comes into contact with air, coatalic acid undergoes a chemical reaction that causes it to ignite and become highly adhesive, sticking to whatever it lands on.
Diet: Coatyls primarily prey on small rodents like mice or rats. Coatyls cannot bite or tear their food to pieces, so they instead swallow their prey whole. They can do this as the upper and lower jaws of a Coatyl are not rigidly attached and have multiple joints, allowing them to open their mouths wide enough to swallow prey whole. While digesting food, Coatyls will typically avoid trying to fly and will instead travel along the ground.
Habitat: These dragons are usually found in the same territories as the Amphiptere. However, these Coatyls have been seen further south in the rainforests due to being more of a tropical species. Their size makes them easy prey for larger animals if they are not careful.
Dragon:
The Western European kind, with four legs, two wings, and (usually) fiery breath. Depending on how the work classifies things, these may be the only ones called "dragons." Otherwise, they're typically called authentic, Western, or European dragons. The Western dragon tends to be massive and heavy, with sharp claws and bat-like wings. They are usually with reptile features but may also have fur or feathers. Sometimes dark colored but always shiny. Some have forked tongues, others crests, fringes, or some other adornment. It always has the ability to spew forth blazing fire and fumes. In the West, dragons live in caves or mountain dwellers and predators. Cave dweller dragons stay in the coldness of the dark most of the time. The caves, filled with fire and water, are easily guarded and located close to towns, where food is convenient. Mountain predators live in cave-riddled mountains that provide an invincible tower and protection.
Diet: Western dragons tend to be considered carnivores. They like meat, flesh, and blood as their primary food source and are too fussy about the source. Sheep, cows, oxen, lions, elephants, or even humans, anything of a reasonable size and with warm blood and flesh to feast on, are their primary food sources. However, dragons haven’t shown a preference for the age or gender of humans. One interesting thing to note is that although they eat the flesh, they have a particular taste for blood. Sometimes, when in need of a quick burst of energy, they will only drink the blood of their prey and leave the flesh. This is seen as barbaric by most other species of dragons. Still, with western dragons being the second largest species, we tend not to mess with them and their dietary habits.
Drake: The drake is a dragon with four limbs, much like a lizard, although usually far more significant in size than the average lizard. A potent example of a drake in the natural world is the Komodo Dragon, a large species of minotaur lizard in Indonesia. These creatures have low-slung bodies, like crocodiles and alligators, with bellies across the ground. However, due to their natural habitat and human greed, wild drakes have been increasingly difficult to get notes from and other scholars to talk with. Drakes who are found are highly hostile and not open much to talking, but with enough food and gold, these dragons could easily talk your ear off.
Diet: These family-oriented dragons hunt together in packs; their size and numbers are easily strong enough to take down small herds of water buffalo, wildebeests, elk, and moose.
Feydragons: These dragons are about the size of a cat, each having an iridescent coat of scales that reflected all colors of the rainbow, predominantly reflecting one particular color, which changed with age. They had a long, prehensile tail and platinum-colored, butterfly-like wings. Like true dragons, faerie dragons grew stronger with age but matured much more quickly and lived shorter lives. Because their predominant scale hue ran the colors of the rainbow over their lifetime, their color directly indicated their age and power. The scales of a young hatchling were almost always red, and those of a fully mature dragon (over 50 years old) were violet. Most dragons leave these small ones alone because it is not worth expending calories to catch these little critters. But these small dragons are known across the globe for their beautiful woven tapestries and the symphonies they create with their wings.
Diet: Their diet mainly consists of small bugs caught in the air, from trees and bushes, and off the ground. They also fed on fruits, berries, nectar, and butterflies, which they ate to get the color and look of their wings.
Sea Orc: A Sea Orc has no arms or legs. It sports fins on the top portion and every few meters across its body, including one long fin that runs from the bottom of its head to its tail. A Sea Orc has little in the way of bones; it slithers through the waters like a snake. This assists the Sea Orc in attacking its prey. Sea Orc eggs cannot be fertilized in deep water, and smaller Sea Orcs cannot survive the pressure. Adult Sea Orcs have to head to shallower waters to mate. It is believed that the Sea Orc typically goes to warmer climates for mating.
Female Sea Orcs lay their eggs at the shoreline, close enough to the surface to be safe from the environmental killers but far enough from the water line that the parents can still protect their offspring. The eggs will grow for several months and will be born after size months.
Diet: These massive beasts eat mostly fish and aquatic life, anything they can catch; on rare occasions, they will eat a dragon, but that only happens when a rowdy juvenile dragon decides to go after a Sea Orcs calf.
Wyvern: The Wyvern is about the same size as the Arctic dragon, though in weight, they are closer to their brother, the Drake. The Wyvern is a two-legged dragon with two wings. They are believed to be faster than the more enormous Dragon. Their head is large and round, and they have a more petite mouth than most dragons. The body is thick but with a soft underbelly. The tail of the Wyvern is the most deadly. It is long serpentlike with a large mass at the end. They can also have a load of spikes within the ball or a significant spike at the top. The Wyvern uses this ball as its primary weapon, capable of smashing through most creatures, including other dragon's scales.
For its size, the Wyvern holds a large amount of weight. Most of this weight is within its thick scales. Anyone who has fought a Wyvern will inform you that getting through their body is next to impossible. The scales overlap several times, and underneath them is a thin net of tissue that absorbs impact and is resistant to being cut.
Diet: Moose, Elk, and Caribou are everyday staples of a wyvern diet, although anything that moves fits the wyvern needs as they have to eat at least 400 pounds of food every three days.
Humans: Not much is left from humans after they destroyed themselves; greed took out most of them, and the explosions hurt the rest. Humans have flocked to their caves deep in the ground. Most dragons leave humans alone, but humans have tried to take back their world a few times, but us dragons have quickly stamped out those little uprisings. Although some dragons keep humans as pets, their crafty little grabbers are relatively good at crafting the little things they need. Some dragons keep them for wealth status, and others just eat them for a rare treat.
Prey animals: Not much needs to be said here; anything a dragon can catch and eat is a prey animal.

2024.05.15 00:50 bisexualmidir Is there a way to stop periods without taking oestrogen or IUD?

18F (female-to-male transgender, irrelevant to the issue as I am pre-medical transition)
I have had crippling period pain since I was 11, being left unable to walk upright and causing vomiting and severe bloating (as in I look as if I could be 6 months pregnant).
However, I am unwilling to take birth control pills as I am worried about the side effect of increased breast size. I already have a large chest, which causes physical pain, and I don't want this to be worsened.
I cannot get an IUD, as I have some kind of genital issue (possibly vaginismus or some kind of malformation) which makes it physically impossible for anything to be inserted vaginally.
I want to get a hysterectomy, but it is extremely unlikely any doctor would permit this due to my age.
Are there any forms of birth control that do not have feminising effects and are not the IUD? Or is this situation hopeless.

2024.05.15 00:49 Thesavagepotato06 Throwing up near daily, which birth control is the culprit?!!??

Hello hotties I’m 18F, and in the midst of a bout of near daily nausea triggered by literally everything, eating, drinking, smelling anything. But this started when I began desogestrel.
Okay so it’s not as simple as that I’m in the process of an endo diagnosis and therefore have been on a lot of birth control since I was 11.
So I have the Mirena hormonal IUD currently atop of the desogestrel pill as of 3 months ago round about. Up until I started the pill I had been on the Depo shot consistently for about 8 months and the IUD nearly a year.
I couldn’t bare the side effects of the Depo shot atop of Marina and begged to try something else so it’s the pill.
But I need to know, is coming off the Depo shot the one affecting me and making every smell a bad one or being on the pill on top of the IUD making me sick?!
I can’t keep throwing up it’s been like this for nearly a month now.

2024.05.15 00:46 SPstandsFor [WTS] Tegris EDC/Inner Belt V2. Coyote/Black. Various Sizes. $40

Timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/gfbzcTb
PLEASE DONT USE YOUR PANTS SIZE! DO NOT USE OTHER COMPANIES BELT SIZING!
Back again with the remainder of my belts. I only have 6 stainless buckles left so these are the last for sale until more come in. The black still uses tan webbing, but only a tiny part of that is showing. There's an example of what it would look like in the pics.
V2 has Velcro going almost end to end and a tapered tail, while V1 has 1 inch of bare webbing near the loop and a squares off tail. Comparisons can be seen in pics. Black belts still uses the tan webbing, but now the Velcro loop goes almost end to end so only small parts show up.
Up for grabs is 6x 1.5" Coyote/Black Tegris EDC/inner belts. $40 each shipped to your door. Buying multiple will knock $4 off since shipping is included. PayPal F&F or Venmo only. I am now nearly out of materials, so if you fuck up your sizing, I might not be able to make a replacement for a long time. SO DONT MESS UP YOUR SIZING!
Do you hate how flimsy EDC belts are? Have you ever bought a belt marketed as "super rigid!" only to find it super floppy? Do you hate the $3 inner belt that shipped with your $200 battle belt? Are those cheap plastic loop buckles a pain while in the restroom? Well, boy do I have the thing for you!
This belt is made with a 6 layer Tegris reinforcement that goes the entire width of the belt, and anchored to heavy duty belt webbing. This means that your guns don't sag when carrying or during draws. An outside layer of loop Velcro means that you can throw your battle belt on in no time at all. The stonewashed G-Hook is made from 304 stainless and makes taking a whizz and adjustment super easy.
These are sewn by me in Texas with materials that are all sourced from US manufacturers AND Berry compliant. Everything from the buckle down to the thread is American made. And all just for $40 a pop!
I honestly believe this is the most rigid EDC belt out there. Like, no joke guys, this belt is stupid stiff. Like Mexican blue pill stiff.
HOW TO KNOW YOUR SIZING!
DO NOT USE YOUR PANTS SIZE! Pants sizes have too many variables, so use the actual measurement of your waist in inches. When measuring, include your holsters for your pistol and mags. If you're in between sizes but on the higher end, move up a size. For example, someone who is a 35" or 36" would get the 34"-38" belt.
If you don't have a measuring tape, wear your normal belt outside the loops and make a note of where the belt meets. Then measure it with your ruler to know your approximate size.
I am now nearly out of materials, so if you fuck up your sizing, I might not be able to make a replacement for a long time. SO DONT MESS UP YOUR SIZING!
Sizes (in inches) are:
COYOTE
32"-36"
34"-38"
BLACK
28"-32"
30"-34"
32"-36"
36"-40"
The buckle and loop might be a bit stiff so here's a handy guide on the best way to put them on. It'll break in after getting the buckle on a few times.

2024.05.15 00:39 Prudent-Situation508 Am I helping or harming my dog's quality of life.

Disclaimer: Post is unorganized and wordy, im trying my best to form my thoughts!
26 F ive had star since she was 6 months we essentially grew up together, shes my first ever pet now we live on our own. I'm a huge fan of raw feeding my dog after watching 'petfooled' (2016), made the change to her diet immediately; Swapping her kibble to grain free incorperating raw meats, fresh bones, vegetables hip & joint suppliments. Realized at the time, I was too inconsistent with that kind of feeding. (pre neurologically-based disability diagnois) kept her on the rachel rays grain free Chicken kibble hoping that would improve her longevity. At that time she was catching a UTI so frequently (monthly) Drs wouldnt perscribe antibiotics without running tests, cause still unknown. Observational learning told me that, on top of her seasonal allergies she could be allergic to poultry, changed from chicken to salmon, it helped the shedding! Since 2020 shes had a whole host of ailments come up, I'm sure that's due to her senior age. She does go get regular check ups. pre hypothyroid diagnosis ive always struggled with her weight from adolesence to middle age which would range from 75-80, that was without any treats and 20 min walks at the time she was only getting 2.5C of food daily per drs instructions. her dr is less than helpful when it comes to quality of life improvements: dissmissing my concerns with "shes just fine of shes just old" then finally getting her to test positive for hypothyroidsm was a big one.
Since living on my own in '22 I've made some consistent changes low impact exercise (collected) 3 orthopedic dog beds, a cooling comfort bed, ive even changed my standard matress to an orthopedic one just incase she sleeps in my bed.
Star a 2012 F 29kg/65 lb. American Staffordshire Terrier model with hyperthyroidism, Cushing Disease, chronic UTI's and repaired CCL rupture.
Her 2x Daily meal is : 1 Levothyroxine every 12 h 2 Fluoxetine every 24 h 3 Benadryl every 12h 8oz Rachel Rays Grain free salmon kibble 117 G of ground raw dog food from a local butchers consisting of turkey, bones and offal. not a fan of it being turkey since poultry allergy. 12oz Brutus Beef Bone Broth. Misc. Vegetables has about 3/4 water bowls around our living space.
I've slowly incorporated those items into her diet over the past couple of years and it seems to help in other ways. Con her fur continues to thin her tail is nearly bald, pro now only seems to get Uti & incontinence when im out of her raw dog food. i wish i new the science behind that. con/pro? shes extreamly thin now- boney and lethargic. Am i doing whats best? should i make more changes? is this what its like preparing for them to cross the rainbow bridge? any feed back/conversation would be helpful.

2024.05.15 00:37 river_stein I feel no joy in everything I do

First of all, I would like to apologize beforehand for my English writing skills, since I am not native to the English language.
Ever since my ex-girlfriend left me half a year ago before Christmas time, I feel empty.
I feel like there is no joy in everything I do and I completely forgot the feeling of euphoria.
Maybe its my very rational nature. I see in black or white. Wrong or right.
I rarely get sad about things. Because I know that, if there is nothing about it that can be changed, I shouldn’t waste any recourses being sad about it. But so am I rarely happy about things.
Of course, when I meet my friends and catch up with them, I might feel happy for the time being, but deep inside its still emptiness.
I miss knowing that there is someone waiting for me. Someone who’s overloading with joy just at the glance of me. Someone I can always rely on. Someone to fall back on.
For context: the relationship lasted 2.5 years and I am turning 20 very soon. She was my very first girlfriend as well.
I know this makes me very young and some of you may say „it’s normal to feel this way. You’re young. Let time heal your wounds.” Or “you already got a girlfriend. There won’t be any trouble finding another one” (which I am very certain about as well. I would rate my appearance at a good 7 or low 8)
But that’s the point. I don’t want my happiness depending on another person.
For all I can remember I did everything for our future. I worked throughout Highschool and saved 90% of everything to finance our vacations and maybe a house one day (these days you got to start early).
I consumed red/black pill content even before the break up. But always with caution and questioning the contents. I started working out. Because I wanted to be the best version of myself for her and for us.
I successfully applied for a dual study program at a big insurance company with high profile jobs in hopes of securing our financial prosperity.
I knew everything I did had a purpose.
Now I continue to do the same. I work. I work out. I prepare myself for the studies starting in August. That’s everything I do. I feel stuck like being on a treadmill. Knowing that all I do is objectively right. The optimal path for guaranteed success. But I feel like I’m still not moving forward.
All “fun” activities feel not the same anymore.
I really do like my friends. But going to a lake or to the swimming pool with anyone feels like a chore in order to keep my social life healthy and maintain friendships. I rather work and make money in the meantime.
Gaming doesn’t feel the way as it used to. Even tough I have a lot more time now.
I just wanted to tell this somebody who doesn’t know me with a completely new and unbiased point of view.

2024.05.15 00:35 Elizabethmurphybaxt It’s not about wanting to stop- I literally can’t

I’m twenty and I am so badly addicted. I literally cannot stop being sick. I can’t eat unless I binge and even when I manage to stop for a few days I find myself struggling to eat at all out of fear of it becoming a binge. I told my family when it began but they don’t seem to care unless it’s within sight or I’m crying and then they get angry. (My mother is bulimic and my father has mental limitations- dyspraxia, dyslexia, autistim he struggles to understand emotions etc. so let that paint a picture!)I have nothing to do outside of my job or uni assignments. I don’t have friends or anything to keep busy and I live in rural Ireland with poor transport so getting into town to do something as shit as just bowling in a 2000s alley, is a nightmare. I have really bad people skills and have been diagnosed passively by therapists with everything from social anxiety to autism on account of my inability to make friends and awkwardness. I feel trapped and stuck and can’t imagine a future. Binging and bulimia is all I feel like I have to do that brings me joy which is awful but ultimately it’s true. I was a passionate runner but a lot of the time now my body is so wrecked I can’t. I just don’t have anything or anyone to make me stop.I’ve been in hospital crying whilst being forcibly treated for heart problems caused by my bulimia because I just wanted to die so badly. That was a year ago and now I refuse to go to check ups because I don’t want to be saved again to be put through more of this. Some people don’t get better and I think that might be me now. If I’m not vomiting all day what is there to do?I go insane on my own when I can’t binge. I just feel so lost I’ve done the whole therapists and antidepressants, mood stabilisers, sleeping pills thing but I didn’t feel better and the side effects messed with me more than it benefited me. I feel like I have been defeated and would happily give up on my life but I don’t seem to have it in me. Someone just please write back share what you’re going through or even if u have something similar going on I am so broken and just want to put my pain somewhere. Maybe you need to do the same.

2024.05.15 00:35 olivegardenau Berry candy (perhaps?) with red dispenser box from 10+ years ago

Hey all, wonder if anyone has any idea what candy I'm trying to remember, asked around and done some online searching but I can't find anything close.
Something that I had probably ten years ago, but even then they were probably old and out of date. (Grabbed a pallet of them when clearing the estate of a family member) (This was out in cen. FL if that's helpful)
They were little hard candies, small enough to make them hard to chew. They reminded me in texture of those tylenol melts. They honestly resembled pills and were shaped like triangles with rounded edges, purple/redish in color. They were some kind of berry flavor, unpleasant but they were all we had around when I was a teen.
They came in small red plastic boxes, (a bit smaller then a box of cigs) that had a white plastic top that you could push down to dispense the candies out the bottom. I can't recall the logo or font but I do remember there being a few berries on the front, perhaps in front of a triangle.
thanks yall

2024.05.15 00:34 Throw4way80808080808 Ftm Fitness Troubles.

hello, i am a ftm trans person (pre t) who spent the last year dieting (and fucking up my metabolism) thinking that that would make me look lean and give me the results i wanted, it obviously did not, i know i screwed up.
where should i go from here though, i am skinnyfat, (although i am lifting now) and feel bad when i put on weight thanks to my inherited body dysmorphia, even though i know putting on muscle mass (and fat to some degree) is what i should be doing i cant help but be very self conscious and frankly gross.
i just feel worthless, and i feel like i failed already since i know i probably lost a shit ton of muscle dieting unsustainably (less than 1000 cal a day sometimes...) i dont know how much i weigh know cause the scale is very triggering for me, although i am guessing i am like 135-140 (i am 5.ft 6) and from looking at the body fat percentage picture scale thingy i would guess i am 25 percent body fat, after being at around 20 percent and weighing 124 for a while being where i am now feels like i let myself go, i am constantly very body conscious.
i am now a lot better thanks to family support, eating around 1700 to 2200 cal a day, weightlifting to failure at least 4 days a week, (i enjoy that a lot) and am generally more happy and mentally sharp.
sorry is this is kind of jumbled as its kind of just a collective of my thoughts i am too scared to talk about and needed to get off my chest, i would apreciate if someone gave me advice on where to go from here, diet, bulk, cut, muscle groups to develop for a more masculine frame, and also maybe some kind of coping mechanism for the skinny fat place I'm in. thanks.

2024.05.15 00:34 Psychological_Ad5987 My(19F)boyfriend(20M) seems to not care about me that much but at the same time loves me a lot. How do I deal with a situation like this?

My(19F)boyfriend(20M) seems to not care about me that much but at the same time loves me a lot
Well, me(19F) and my boyfriend(20M) go to the same uni. We’ve been dating for nine months now We were at the library and he usually carries my bag for me cause it’s heavy sometimes. But he never lets his friends see it because he used to make fun of people carrying their bags for their girlfriends and he doesn’t want to be seen as a hypocrite ig. I usually don’t mind when he gives me back my bag when he sees people but today my back was hurting so I kinda got upset when he said he would give me bag back if he sees his friends. And I have anxiety issues and I’ve recently started taking anti anxiety pills too. Sometimes I get really overwhelmed and cry. And I cried a while after he refused(not completely of the situation but was feeling overwhelmed in general. He told it wasn’t fair for me to cry. I went back to my room. i called him and he refused to sort things out and kept saying he was right. I had a really bad breakdown and he was there to help me through it on call but when he had to leave he told me he loved me but he loved himself more and that he had to sleep. My roommate wasn’t there and I usually can’t sleep alone and I wasn’t fine mentally but he told me he can’t take care of me right now even though I kept telling him I needed him.
What do I do in a situation like this? Is it worth trying to make myself feel understood?
Tl,dr: my boyfriend cares about me but only to a certain extent.

2024.05.15 00:30 IndividualPost5214 Combined oral contraceptive pill and recent onset headaches

22F, 165cm, 62kg, White British (living in UK)
I've been taking the COCP since I was 17 for PCOS and it has been a godsend. I only stopped taking it twice when I was having surgeries, to reduce the clotting risk (I don't have any other clotting risk factors, it was just a regular precaution for the procedures). I had my last surgery in November, and I re-started the pill about 2 months ago now.
In all those years I've been on it, I never really had any issues. But for the last few months, I've been having daily headaches. I could have sworn that a few days before I started taking the pill again, I thought, "I'm glad the headaches started before I re-started the pill, otherwise I'd worry that's what caused them" - but I also thought I'd tracked them on my period app, and now it's not there which is making me doubt myself. So to clarify that, I seem to think the headaches preceded me starting the pill again, but I'm not 100% sure.
My headache today has been really bad, worse than it's been so far in the last few months, to the point where I haven't wanted to do much of anything all afternoon/evening. I don't have an aura, which I know is a big red flag/contraindication of the pill. But a key feature of my headache today (if relevant), is that I noticed it gets much worse when I stand up, and then semi-resolves when I sit/lie down.
So now I'm basically just having a mini panic that the headaches might be related. I'm due to take my next pill pretty much now, but I'm skipping it because I'm worried. Not a huge deal really, I'm not taking them for contraceptive reasons. But is this something I should be worried about?
Thank you :)

2024.05.15 00:30 olivegardenau Candy Identification

They came in small red plastic boxes that had a white plastic top that you could push down to dispense the candies out the bottom. I can't recall the logo or font but I do remember there being a few berries on the front, perhaps in front of a triangle.
thanks yall

2024.05.15 00:29 businessnewstv FAQ: How to Validate the Quality of Pet Products Sold Online

Importance of validating the quality of pet products

Validating the quality of pet products is of utmost importance when purchasing them online. It ensures that the products meet the necessary standards and are safe for our beloved pets. One key aspect of this validation process is establishing better communication with the sellers and manufacturers. By maintaining open lines of communication, pet owners can address any concerns or questions they may have about the product. This not only helps in making informed decisions but also allows for a seamless exchange of information between the buyer and the seller. Therefore, better communication plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of pet products.

Common challenges in validating pet products online

When it comes to validating pet products online, there are several common challenges that pet owners face. One of the main challenges is the overwhelming amount of options available. With so many different brands and types of pet products being sold online, it can be difficult to determine which ones are of high quality. Another challenge is the lack of physical interaction with the product. Unlike buying from a physical store, pet owners cannot touch or inspect the product before purchasing it online. This makes it important to rely on other indicators of quality, such as customer reviews and ratings. Additionally, pet owners may also face challenges in verifying the accuracy of product descriptions and claims made by sellers. Some sellers may use misleading language or exaggerated claims in their advertisements. Therefore, it is crucial for pet owners to do thorough research and consider multiple sources of information before making a purchase.

Benefits of purchasing high-quality pet products

When it comes to purchasing pet products online, there are numerous benefits to choosing high-quality options. Firstly, high-quality pet products are designed with the well-being of your furry friend in mind. They are made from safe and durable materials, ensuring that they will not harm your pet or break easily. Additionally, high-quality pet products are often more effective in meeting your pet's needs. Whether it's a nutritious diet, comfortable bedding, or engaging toys, investing in high-quality products ensures that your pet receives the best care possible. Lastly, purchasing high-quality pet products can save you money in the long run. While they may have a higher upfront cost, these products are often more durable and long-lasting, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Overall, opting for high-quality pet products is a worthwhile investment that benefits both you and your beloved pet.

Understanding Product Labels

Decoding pet product labels

When it comes to decoding pet product labels, it is important to understand the information provided and make informed decisions for your furry friends. Pet product labels can be filled with complex terminology and misleading claims, making it crucial for pet owners to be aware of what they are purchasing. By carefully reading and interpreting pet product labels, you can ensure the quality and safety of the products you choose for your pets. Additionally, if you have any questions or concerns about a specific pet product, it is always recommended to reach out to the manufacturer or consult with your veterinarian for further guidance. Inspiring action through email is a powerful tool that can be used to advocate for better pet product labeling standards and transparency in the industry. By contacting pet product companies and expressing your concerns, you can help drive positive change and ensure that pet owners have access to accurate and reliable information about the products they buy.

Identifying key information on labels

When it comes to identifying key information on labels, it is important to ensure that the quality of pet products sold online is validated. This is crucial for pet owners who want to make informed decisions about the products they purchase for their beloved pets. By carefully examining the labels, pet owners can gather essential information about the ingredients, nutritional value, and potential allergens present in the products. This helps in determining whether the product is suitable for their pet's specific needs. Additionally, labels also provide information about the manufacturer, certifications, and any additional instructions or warnings. By paying close attention to these details, pet owners can ensure that they are purchasing high-quality and safe pet products online.

Evaluating the credibility of product claims

When it comes to evaluating the credibility of product claims, it is important to consider various factors. One such factor is the Canva 2023 guide. This comprehensive guide provides valuable insights and information on how to validate the quality of pet products sold online. By following the guidelines outlined in the Canva 2023 guide, pet owners can ensure that they are making informed decisions when purchasing pet products. The guide highlights key aspects to look for, such as product certifications, customer reviews, and ingredient transparency. By utilizing the Canva 2023 guide, pet owners can have peace of mind knowing that they are purchasing high-quality and reliable pet products.

Researching Brands and Manufacturers

Finding reputable pet product brands

When it comes to finding reputable pet product brands, there are several factors to consider. One important aspect is to look for brands that have a strong reputation in the pet industry. This can be determined by researching customer reviews and feedback, as well as checking if the brand is recommended by veterinarians or pet professionals. Additionally, it is crucial to consider the ingredients and manufacturing processes used by the brand. High-quality pet products should contain safe and nutritious ingredients, and be manufactured in facilities that adhere to strict quality control standards. Lastly, it is advisable to choose brands that have a transparent and responsive customer service, as this indicates their commitment to customer satisfaction. By considering these factors, pet owners can ensure that they are purchasing pet products from reputable brands that prioritize the health and well-being of their furry friends.

Investigating manufacturer's reputation

When it comes to purchasing pet products online, it is crucial to investigate the manufacturer's reputation. This step is essential in ensuring the quality and safety of the products being sold. By researching the manufacturer's background, customer reviews, and any certifications they may have, pet owners can make informed decisions about the products they choose for their beloved pets. Taking the time to investigate the manufacturer's reputation can help avoid potential risks and ensure that only high-quality pet products are purchased online.

Checking for certifications and accreditations

When it comes to checking for certifications and accreditations, it is essential to ensure the quality and safety of pet products sold online. Certifications and accreditations serve as indicators that the products have met certain standards and regulations set by reputable organizations. These certifications and accreditations provide reassurance to pet owners that the products they purchase are reliable and trustworthy. By verifying the presence of certifications and accreditations, pet owners can have peace of mind knowing that the products they choose have undergone rigorous testing and adhere to industry best practices. This not only safeguards the health and well-being of pets but also contributes to workplace productivity.

Reading Customer Reviews

Importance of customer reviews

Customer reviews play a crucial role in the decision-making process when it comes to purchasing pet products online. They provide valuable insights into the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of the products. By reading reviews from other pet owners, potential buyers can gain a better understanding of the product's performance and suitability for their pets. This is particularly important when it comes to garden supplies, as the quality of these products can directly impact the health and well-being of pets. Therefore, it is essential for online shoppers to carefully evaluate customer reviews and consider them as a reliable source of information before making a purchase.

Analyzing the credibility of reviews

When analyzing the credibility of reviews, it is important to consider various factors. One such factor is the use of auto templates. Auto templates are pre-written review templates that can be easily copied and pasted by sellers to create fake reviews. These templates often contain generic and exaggerated language, making it easier to spot suspicious reviews. By identifying the use of auto templates, consumers can determine the authenticity of the reviews and make informed decisions when purchasing pet products online.

Identifying red flags in customer feedback

When it comes to identifying red flags in customer feedback, there are several key factors to consider. One of the first things to look for is an unusually high number of negative reviews or complaints. This could indicate a potential issue with the quality of the pet product. Additionally, pay attention to recurring themes or patterns in the feedback. If multiple customers are reporting the same problem or concern, it may be a sign that there is a genuine issue with the product. Another red flag to watch out for is overly positive or overly negative reviews that seem suspicious or biased. These could be fake or manipulated reviews, which can skew the overall perception of the product's quality. It is also important to consider the credibility of the source of the feedback. Reviews from verified purchasers or reputable websites can carry more weight than anonymous or unverified sources. By being vigilant and considering these red flags, consumers can make more informed decisions when it comes to purchasing pet products online.

Comparing Prices and Value

Determining the true value of pet products

Determining the true value of pet products is essential for pet owners who want to ensure the well-being and safety of their furry friends. With the increasing popularity of online shopping, it can be challenging to validate the quality of pet products sold online. However, by considering a few key factors, pet owners can make informed decisions and choose products that meet their pets' needs. One important aspect to consider is the reputation and credibility of the seller. Pet owners should look for trusted brands and sellers with positive reviews and ratings. Additionally, checking for certifications and quality standards can help ensure that the products meet industry standards. Another factor to consider is the ingredients or materials used in the pet products. Pet owners should be aware of any potential allergens or harmful substances that could be present. Lastly, comparing prices and researching the market can help pet owners determine the true value of the products and avoid overpaying. By taking these steps, pet owners can make confident choices when purchasing pet products online.

Comparing prices across different platforms

When it comes to purchasing pet products online, it is important to compare prices across different platforms. This allows pet owners to ensure they are getting the best value for their money. By comparing prices, customers can identify any price variations or discounts offered by different sellers. Additionally, comparing prices can help pet owners avoid overpaying for products that may be available at a lower cost elsewhere. Taking the time to compare prices across different platforms is a simple yet effective way to validate the quality of pet products sold online.

Considering long-term cost-effectiveness

When considering the long-term cost-effectiveness of pet products sold online, it is important to take into account various factors. One such factor is the branding of the product. Branding plays a significant role in determining the quality and reliability of pet products. For photographers, it is essential to choose products that align with their brand image and values. By selecting pet products from reputable brands, photographers can ensure that they are investing in high-quality items that will last longer and provide better value for money. Additionally, reputable brands often offer warranties and customer support, further enhancing the long-term cost-effectiveness of their products.

Seeking Professional Recommendations

Consulting veterinarians or pet experts

Consulting veterinarians or pet experts is an essential step in validating the quality of pet products sold online. These professionals have the knowledge and expertise to assess the safety and efficacy of various products, ensuring that they meet the necessary standards for the well-being of your pets. By seeking their guidance, you can make informed decisions and choose products that are suitable for your pet's specific needs. Whether it's selecting the right food, toys, or grooming supplies, consulting veterinarians or pet experts can provide valuable insights and recommendations to ensure the health and happiness of your furry companions.

With the increasing popularity of online shopping, it is important to be cautious and thorough when making purchases for our furry friends. 2024.05.15 00:29 SaintPatrickMahomes Does alcohol really screw up your blood pressure and your body that much? I see the change in my own body but it’s unbelievable it’s this bad for you.

I decided to just flat out quit drinking 2 months ago.
No real bad event happened for me to make the decision, I just out of the blue decided to quit. I dumped my whiskey out and decided to not drink it again. It was bad for me and it’s probably not a good idea to do it, so that was that.
Anyways, prior to this my blood pressure was 138-95 or something that’a bit high. It was getting up there.
I made no change in my diet, no change in my lifestyle or anything. Just plain cut the alcohol.
And voila. I just measured multiple times and my blood pressure is at 118-80. Which is normal.
I also dropped like 6-8 lbs and I weighed myself after I ate 3 slices of pepperoni pizza and 2 ice cream cones for lunch lol.
Now I see it with my own 2 eyes but was alcohol really that bad? Like wtf. What was it doing to my body to spike my blood pressure that eating pizza and ice cream couldn’t?

2024.05.15 00:29 B-chPlease AITA for telling my mom she has to move out?

I’ll start this off where it’s relevant. Me and my partner were looking to buy a house and when we found the one we wanted of course my mom wanted to do a walk through with us. So we did the walk through and she thought it was nice and even joked about the basement being all set up for a mother in-law suite. To which my husband replied we don’t have any intention of renting it out and we don’t know if we will need that space yet.
Later I was at her house visiting getting some help doing out taxes and she was on the phone then asked my about giving her landlord notice. I was busy I didn’t really hear her or know what she was asking and just said “ya ya, give me a minute.” And she walked away and I figured she’d ask me again after think it was about lunch or something. She never brought it up again but we had talked about it in the past and I always told her the same thing my husband had. We don’t plan on rent out the basement and we will probably need the space.
Fast-ward we just finish moving our stuff not even unpacked yet and she needs to move out cus she’s given her notice and of course I felt terrible saying “ya ya” not know what I was saying yes to. I convinced my husband to let her move in and his wasn’t happy but we moved her into the basement. We did say a few rules not smoking in the house there is a detached heated garage for that. The upstairs was supposed to be our space. And don’t overstep boundaries or our parenting.
That’s when all the issues started. My mom would make plans for me with little notice and monopolies my and my kids time. At first it was fine to get to spend time out with her and the kids but it became an issues when she wouldn’t respect my boundaries. Like I need more notice cus I do make plans with my husband to do family stuff or friends. Or I don’t want certain people around my kids and she would bring us there or invite them over. If I invited friends over she’d come upstairs and take over the conversation and not let me talk and try to bring them downstairs to sell them stuff she’s made. She never respected the upstairs was our space rule.
She would talk down to me in front of my kids why isn’t the house spotless. Why are there dishes in the sink etc.. she would complain about everything but never help. She would not listen if I told hethe kids no to something ex. Candy before dinner. Me: No you can’t have candy before dinner, maybe after. Her: They are only kids once let them have it. And would give it to them. They need to eat lunch but “oh she was on a diet.” And so on
It got to the point where she would tell me she doesn’t have to listen to me cus she’s my mother. My kids started to throw fits and say I was mean and “they wanted nana cus she gave them anything they wanted.” Or “why do I have to listen to you when nana doesn’t have too?”
One Christmas I was working to afford a better Christmas and help pay off the line of credit we needed for the house. We hosted the Christmas dinner and had family and friends and everyone helped out. I cooked all day and then took a nap while everyone else was enjoying dinner as I had to work the night and was already going to be running on fumes. When I got up to my surprise everyone was still there. They were helping put the food away and had made me a plate for work. When I got home the house was clean and I was relieved as I was exhausted and just wanted to get some sleep. My mom told me she did all the dishes for me and cleaned to kitchen.
I worked for a few months before and after Christmas and during this time my mom was chain smoking in the basement. Her bedroom right below ours and our kids rooms. Me and the kids have asthma and my husband has crippling migraines that helped encourage him to quit smoking years ago. I didn’t notice the smell unless I was down stairs but he noticed it immediately. Saying he can’t sleeping and his crippling migraines had come back and the house smelled like cigarettes smoke. I confronted my mother and she said no of course she would smoke in the house but all her stuff clothes, furniture, smells that way cus she use to smoke in the house at her old place. (Mind you she was living with us for months now, and some of her future was new and we only just started having a problem suddenly after months with no issues related to smoke/smell)
Me and my husband fought over this as I really didn’t want to believe she would smoke in the house. First off it’s illegal here and second she knows off all our health issues. And you can get in trouble with child protective services if they thinking your smoking in the house which is considered endangering the health and safety of your children. And asthma can be considered the fault of the parents if they are smoking around them. You can’t even smoke in the car if a child is in the car with you
So my husband got a nicotine testing kit and when it finally came in we put it to use. The house was completely clean when we moved in. We found next to nothing upstairs but downstairs was a different story. My mom’s bedroom and kitchen being the worst. I was so mad that I decided I would look around to see if I could find an ashtray. Well I found it in her nightstand right beside the bed…. I was pissed. I can still remembered her fallling asleep with a cigarette in her hand on multiple occasions as a kid and how lucky we were that she never burned the house down back then
I confronted her when she got home and her instantly denied it till I showed her my proof and that I found her ashtray “your husband didn’t want her there always” was her response. I was floored. The whole time I stood up for her after confronting her the first time. she was lying saying “I’m so sick, I’m not even smoking right now, I’m quitting.”
He had bin upset at first but the first few months were great till all the issues started. But I quickly realized that no matter what I said I’d be wrong and she wouldn’t apologize. She had no remorse or sympathy not even when I mentioned the kids health or mine and my husbands. As she was my mother I felt it was my personal responsibility to hold her accountable for her actions we were going to give her till the spring as she is old but her response infuriated me.
She made it clear she didn’t have any level of respect for me or my husband and didn’t care about her grandchildren’s health…. I told her she had till the end of the month to move. She was pissed. She wanted to die here and how could I pick my husband over her and allow him to force her to move and in a month no less. I told her it was my choice to only give her a month and that I couldn’t stand to look at her. And this was the straw that back the camel’s back.
After that she avoided us and would hide in the basement when she wasn’t at work. A day or so later I woke up in the middle of the night to a noise only to find my mother in kitchen going through our cupboards…. I asked her what the H she was doing in my kitchen in the middle of the night? After that I started double checking the door separating the basement from the upstairs was locked at night.
She didn’t want to move so naturally I helped her looked for a place. Did the walk throughs with her till she settled for a place and of course she complained the whole time. How could I do this to her, look at the house I was forcing her into. (She picked it) and it was the nicest one we looked at. In her price range. And it was still close enough to visit and come help her if she needed it.
She refused to pack so I ended up packing everything for her and as I was packing her things I kept coming across things she had stolen from us. A can opener, canned goods, cereal, shopping bags, a blanket she had knitted for the family for Christmas and other things she had got the kids among many random things she must have wanted. I was growing more upset as the days passed and I told my husband everything I had come across while packing her things each day. He told me not to bother taking anything back because she would probably forget she stole it and claim we were stoking her things. He said she could have anything she wanted and hopefully with time she would remember that we still gave her whatever she wanted and there might be hope to fix the relationship with her in the future.
We called a couple friends to help us move here. We even put the furniture in the rooms/spots she asked for them to be put and we them up. As for the boxes I was going to help her empty them and put everything away but the first night she refused to let me touch anything and I just ended up sitting there while she berated me. “You’re a horrible daughter!” “A horrible mother!” “You’d let your own mother live in this dump!” “Who going to take care of me now? I might as well just die” “if I die it’s because of what you put me through” and those are only thing things a can remember
She keep my there in till 2 in the morning after that I said I couldn’t help her because I still had kids at home I had to get up with and she wouldn’t let me help anyway just berate me the whole time.
Me and my husband both agreed that we wouldn’t stop her from seeing the kids but she would have to respect our boundaries or we would have to put a stop to it. She refuses to see us or the kids. She refuses to apologize or admit to any wrong doing. She going around telling everyone I’m dead to her and take we took everything from her and we used her and abused her. We stopped talking to her all together and stopped trying to visit her.

2024.05.15 00:26 Psychological_Ad5987 My(19F)boyfriend(20) seems to not care about me that much but at the same time loves me a lot

My(19F)boyfriend(20M) seems to not care about me that much but at the same time loves me a lot.

2024.05.15 00:24 ZiSynn I know that being self conscious about your body is normal, but I think I need to do something about how I try to ‘fix’ it.

For context I am a 16 year old girl who only weighs slightly more than the average for my height. I go to the gym and have a relatively high muscle mass compared to my friends, so I use that as an excuse. I am noticeably bigger on my stomach, especially after I eat, I can almost look a few months pregnant and although it may be how I see myself, I have become very insecure about it.
This insecurity has caused me to swing between unhealthy habits. For days on end I will not eat, followed by a binge, then possibly a week of throwing up my meals. Eat faze only lasts until a change of routine, for example throughout the week then stop at the weekend. I know they are bad, but especially when I go without eating I almost feel better with my body.
I have tried a diet before, but it was too limited (I cried 2 weeks in because I couldn’t eat bread - it was homemade and delicious), and I can’t think of many imaginative ways of making a salad. I believe I would rather not eat than only eat salads for weeks. It sounds fussy, but I love red meat and Asian food.
A few times I have tried calorie counting, and although I monitored what I ate, I realised that even eating like I normally do (2 meals a day - a salad or lettuce filled sandwich for lunch), I am either not nearing or hardly overtaking the calories needed. I asked my friend who was doing a similar thing, and she was overtaking her goal (200 more than mine) almost daily. It seems I don’t eat enough when I pay attention, then too much every other time.
Currently I don’t think I have any self control, I swing from eating to not. A few years back I remember eating almost nothing everyday, and I was noticeably thin because of it, but now I almost envy the control I must of had - and the body.
What can I do that doesn’t degrade my mental health, but brings me down to a healthy and more confident weight.

2024.05.15 00:23 Xandure Went to the doctor, got a shot and some medicine. Now what?

About a week ago, I posted to the subreddit about my recent lower back pain. Following some advice, I fast tracked a doctor's appointment I already had to see about the pain. The doctor didn't do any of the slump test or straight leg tests or whatever, but did talk to me about the pain and felt my back and all.
Coming out of it, the doctor said it was muscle spasms, I walked out with two shots (solumedrol and ketorolac) and three pill medications (Medrol, Tramadol, and Methocarbamol). The Tramadol was a 3day supply, and the Medrol was in a pack that decreased the dosage every day, so today I'm basically just on the Methocarbamol; I have maybe like 5 days more of the medicine.
I feel a lot better recently, but I don't know how much of that might go away when I stop the Methocarbamol, as that's the muscle relaxant. I'm hoping there's not return of too much pain, since the medicine makes me a little foggy, so I'd prefer to be off it. My sleep still sorta suffers, and the positions that I've found to help (on my side with pillows) is sorta unnatural to me, since usually that was a way of making my back feel bad (I have to like curl up a lot more than usual).
But in the meantime, some other issues have cropped up. I've recently been having some upper back pain, though this is a more traditional stiff back sort of pain. Perhaps my upper back is in some way compensating, or it's not used to me sitting with a proper posture. Similarly, I've also been getting a stiff neck; it feels like a I have a crick in it that I can't crack. (Also, though not really an issue, my back cracks really easily? Like, if I'm sitting down, and realize my posture is slightly off, shifting to that posture cracks my back? It's weird.)
I've also started to sit with a more proper posture, get up more often from my desk, and I have started doing the "Big 3" exercises and some glute exercises, in the hope of mitigating future back pain. I'm basically following this exact webpage entirely, so hopefully everything there is correct. I didn't realize how much the Big 3 exercises were like, actual exercise, so I'm currently doing them like every other day instead of every day.
I'm just wondering is there anything more I can do to help my current situation, and to help prevent issues in the future.

2024.05.15 00:21 Psychological_Ad5987 My(19F)boyfriend(20) seems to not care about me that much but at the same time loves me a lot.

My(19F)boyfriend(20) seems to not care about me that much but at the same time loves me a lot.
Well, me(19F) and my boyfriend(20M) go to the same uni. We were at the library and he usually carries my bag for me cause it’s heavy sometimes.
Tl,dr: my boyfriend cares about me but only to a certain extent.

2024.05.15 00:20 ulisescy Beginning my carnivore journey!

Hi there, Ulises here.
I'm starting my "official" carnivore journey today for a month. "Unofficially," I started 4 weeks ago with a "Ketovore" diet.
How I landed here:
I was almost fainting last month, almost like those movie scenes where one of the characters is about to pass out, and everything is shaking around him. You try to reach out your hands to break your fall, but you can't because your brain isn't sending the signals, or things get shaky around you, and you are about to pass out.
I have almost always tried to avoid any kind of fat because my stomach and my heart react to it and make me feel worse. However, I had no choice at this point, so I did a "do or die." I started adding different fats (nuts, avocado, salmon, anchovies, fatty meat) and also changed my diet. The symptoms improved and eventually went away.
But I still had all my other health issues. I had already heard of carnivore a couple of times before; it just seemed crazy, until I found this guy "Kerry (HomeSteadHow)." Some of the problems he had were quite similar to mine (throat closing, walking like a zombie—I know what he is talking about with this one—obesity; in my case, it's the exact opposite: underweight, very skinny, and almost no muscle no matter what I do). Only "fat ladies" will ask me what is "my secret." I've had at least three of them asking that this year so far.
Goals:
I have many health issues, but there are three I believe to be the main problems:
In that order.
I'm following this diet as an elimination diet, so I will reintroduce food that is not causing problems as I go.
Next month, I will transition into Ketovore and then try to move to Keto. It's still to be seen.
We have to keep testing and tracking, and then make decisions. (Although some people recommend staying on this diet for at least 3 months, but we'll see.)
Reflections and Lessons so far:
Results so far:
Positive:
Negative:
Disclaimer:
I will still eat some seaweed from time to time for my thyroid as well as ginger, which is also helping. As I mentioned, I'm doing it more as an elimination diet. If I add another food, I will update as well, I will be testing and tracking as I go.
I welcome any feedback, words of encouragement, comments, likes, dislikes, criticism, etc.
Thank you!

2024.05.15 00:19 MomentSlow9545 Feeling a little slutty after last weekend

Let me (23f) start out by saying I’m not that experienced sexually. I’ve kissed and made out with my share of guys, but lost my virginity to my college boyfriend at 20 (we dated 2 years). He’s the only guy I’ve ever slept with.
I moved to my current town a little over a year ago. Since then I met a guy (Keith, 25m) who is extremely charming with a killer smile, but also an on and off girlfriend, so I kept my distance. I also knew he was trouble since the day I met him, just not very good for me. But I’ve been attracted to him and he has pursued me, and had short make out sessions a couple of times with him (when he was on a break from his gf).
So, last Saturday I went to a wedding (solo). Had a great time with friends, had drinks. When I was home afterward at my house (I live with 2 roommates), Keith called at 1am. He asked if he could come over. In a moment of weakness, I said yes.
He came right over, and he insisted he was again on a break with his gf. We started making out on the couch. It got hot and heavy quickly, he’s a persistent guy. I felt myself kind of giving in. My dress came off, and the way he was touching me was really turning me on. My underwear soon came off as well. I didn’t even bring him to my room - we had sex (fucked, really) right there on the couch. Roommates asleep in their rooms. No condom (I’m on the pill), and I let him cum inside me (I know, I know).
He didn’t even stay the night.
And now I am feeling slutty about that night. Am I wrong? Just looking for words of wisdom, I guess.
