This is the second time I have noticed during one of my OB that I have a spot about the size of a quarter on my thigh (raised) red, it doesn’t hurt or anything about the same area as the one before similar to a rash. Does not itch, doesn’t look like an OB, or lesion but it appears to occur during an OB. Anyone else experience anything like this?

Hi, I have rosacea and PD and this red rosacea like itchy rash developed around and into my nose. The inside of my nose is super itchy and the redness looks horrible:( my Dr gave me doxy for a month 100mg/2x a day but I could only tolerate 3 weeks. It helped the redness at the time but not really the itchiness and after stopping it has come back the same as before.
I've recently started yaz bc to try and help the acne bumps, but is there anything else I can do to help the redness and itch in my nose?:(

Hey! I picked up a very docile and somewhat skinny stray last night in Houston. Male, maybe 1-2 years old, short hair mixed breed (some German shepherd but that's a guess), maybe 50 lbs, no other signs of illness.
Generally his coat and mouth seem very healthy. He had snails all over him which we picked off and a couple fleas. We gave him a bath with dawn dish soap and cleaned out his ears.
It looks like he has a rash in his armpit; pink, light red, and skin color bumps in about the area of my palm - 2 or 3 of the bumps are larger almost looking like a pimple on a human. He has not been licking the area. Does anyone what it is and what might help it?

So before i start, i wanna say that i havent been diagnosed with crohns and dont have any common symptoms of crohns. But i wanted to ask you guys about this because you know better than me.
So since i was 13 i have these weird symptoms sometimes after pooing. Itching on anus and inside, burning (but not always) and very small (dried, not fresh) specks of blood on toilet paper (during those days) but never in stool.
Now (20 years old) i have these things sometimes but especially after hard stools or diarrhea (diarrhea also causes rash around anus and red anus) and then when i start walking. Now apparently it can be due to hemohrroids or anal fissures, which is completely normal. Can be very very annoying but it gets better after a day or 2 when it all heals. I asked my father if he also has same symptoms and he says that he does but apparently he does have hemohrroid diagnosis.
Now, because i am very curious i googled about my symptoms and ofc it was hemohroids and anal fissures. But i dug very very deep until i came to you guys lol. I am hypochondriac and became scared of perianal crohns (mostly stoma but yeah) .But apparently it can also cause fistulas and other things that i dont have (i only sometiems have zits on buttocks but taht is normal, it is never very big or inflamed). It would prob get worse by now, right? Also people with perianal crhons have symptoms of general crhons disease too. I dont have anyone in my family that has crhons disease and i am pretty sure my symptoms havent gotten worse since i was 13.
Now ik some people will say that i should go to the doc but as i said, it doesnt bother me and does get better.
So my question is... Is perianal crohns a complication of years of crohns disease itself? Even if it comes first, other symptoms would arise too? Because i am pretty sure my symptoms are due to other things but still... Health anxiety

So I’m a teenager who has had fairly good skin for most of my life and recently I found a scaly rash on my neck area that was red, dry itchy ect and I assumed it was the colder weather that was occurring, I got cream for it anyway and that helped clear it up. Now my neck is pretty much back to normal but I just discovered my skin is peeling and flaky on the hairline right beside my ear and it’s looking red. A family member seems thinks its dermatitis but just thought I’d ask before going to a dermatologist as I’m not familiar with skin related issues.

I upped my dose just a few days ago (still steadily increasing in a few days) from 37 mg to 55.5 mg. I started developing some rash on my lips yesterday. They're numb and tingeling. It's like tiny tiny blisters and a bit of redness on the inside of the lips, just where the mucous membrane starts. Could it be the med?

I wash my ears daily, moisturize, no acrylic or cheap metal. I’m not out getting sweaty and my diet hasn’t changed. But I have an upcoming surgery and was asked to start birth control for it. It’s been two months of BC and my ears smell like I have died. Like I can’t turn my head without smelling them. Would adding a few drops of tea tree oil make them fall off? Someone suggested Vicks. There’s no discharge/dry/rash/flakes/redness. They look as they always do but smell like a foot carved of parm cheese and barf.

I have a bunch of lumps under my skin. They are mostly very small except for one on my leg and on my lower back which are slightly larger. There is one on my arm, and two under either side of my jaw which feel rubbery and moveable. I’ve also had this red dot like rash on and off and this is freaking me out because I saw online that these symptoms can signal cancer. I’m going to see a doctor soon but I’m hoping someone on here can help me out or tell me something else this might be.

2024.05.16 10:31 Comfortable-Door-393 Almost 48 hours post op, sudden chills, swelling
Hey yall I just experienced an episode of shivering akin to waking up from anesthesia except it's beyond 24 hours post op. I still have a ton of gas moving around in me (abdominal surgery) and am in pain. They gave me exparel injected at the site. I've been taking mostly just ibuprofen every 8 hours, 800mg and a half of a percocet so far.
I adjusted my position getting ready for bed and felt a twinge, and then I started shivering as if I had just woken up from anesthesia. No blood, I see no rashes, just some more swelling at one of the incision sites but it doesn't look abnormal, not red just puffed a bit.
Is this all normal??

 | Around 2 weeks ago I scraped my shin, it didn’t seem deep so I left it alone to heal, then after several days it started to look infected so I applied triple antibiotic cream and covered with a bandaid. I did that for about 3 days and the wound improved. Now, this red rash has formed around the healing wound. It is intensely itchy. I am applying triamcinolone… any other thoughts?? I keep getting these spots that get a little itchy but usually don't form a pimple, they just kind of stay red and then disappear after 1-2 days. They are completely flat but turn super red and stay that way the whole day. I didn't have this problem when I was on 20mg(i just cleared up immediately), maybe because it was so low but my derm has me on 60 mg, I'm 159 pounds so I feel like I shouldn't be having this reaction as it's not that high of a dose relative to my weight. I have even had to cut down on shaving to once a week because I got a TERRIBLE razor rash for an entire week from the dryness. I've been drinking tons of water and use vanicream (tub) am and pm, I just bought lrp cicaplast so I might try that.
Wondering if these spots are caused by the dryness and if anyone found a way to deal with them if they had similar experiences

2024.05.16 06:43 Julikinzzz Rash on face caused by Crohn’s?
So I have a mild to moderate case of Crohn’s, but ever since my symptoms got really severe before my diagnosis, I’ve had this awful red rash all over my face that refuses to go away. Has anyone else experienced this?
I’ve had eczema my whole life and have been on countless steroid creams that do work on my body. But I’ve never had problems with eczema on my face up until my Crohn’s symptoms started. I’ve been prescribed two different steroids for my face that seem to work for a few weeks, but then the rash comes back just a day after being off the treatment. Even when I’m not going through an eczema flare up, the rash is still there.
I’m currently on Remicade that has done wonders for my Crohn’s symptoms, but I’m thinking about switching to either Skyrizi or Rinvoq to treat the rash on my face. I’m not able to take Dupixent due to the risk of taking two biologics at once. I was on Prednisone last June and it cleared my face rash up immediately, but it came right back when I got off it.
Does anyone here have skin problems as a result of Crohn’s? And is switching to a new medication my best option?

I’ve had eczema my whole life and have been on countless steroid creams that do work on my body. But I’ve never had problems with eczema on my face up until my Crohn’s symptoms started. I’ve been prescribed two different steroids for my face that seem to work for a few weeks, but then the rash comes back just a day after being off the treatment. Even when I’m not going through an eczema flare up, the rash is still there.
I’m currently on Remicade that has done wonders for my Crohn’s symptoms, but I’m thinking about switching to either Skyrizi or Rinvoq to treat the rash on my face. I’m not able to take Dupixent due to the risk of taking two biologics at once. I was on Prednisone last June and it cleared my face rash up immediately, but it came right back when I got off it.
Does anyone here have skin problems as a result of Crohn’s? And is switching to a new medication my best option?

First of all I have an appointment with my PCP next week and getting a dermatology appointment is literally a 6 month wait so I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this.
Female, 24yo, Caucasian thyroid condition as well as some minor underlying issues which are unlikely to be a cause /have an effect.
I've only ever been allergic to penicillin but for the past 5 days I've been on and off with a rash mainly on my wrists. It started as skin colored / slightly red raised bumps (almost like a zit starting to form) and also slight swelling which could ofc have been due to my scratching.
It all started about 1 month ago when our dryer broke and we had to wash and dry our clothes in a public laundromat for 1 (!!!) wash only. The day after I was super itchy in my work clothes but all over my body and I suspected that either someone that used the laundry machine before us used a chemical I'm allergic to or washed something e.g. with fiberglass.
However since then I've occasionally gotten itchy on parts of my legs (calves), single points on my scalp, around my nose and - mainly - my wrists.
It's really odd because nowhere else seems to be a rash forming but the one on one of my hands has been, slowly but progressively, getting worse. I'm taking 5-10mg cetrizine atm and it has helped quite a bit with the itching however the past 2 days it seems like it's coming back around late at night and I'm just at a loss.
The raised bumps stay for about 24-48h after the itching has subsided, some have stayed all these days. On my right hand it has been slowly progressing past my wrist and I've been worried it's hives however my husband has experience with this and assured me it's a simple and very mild rash. He also denied it looking like scabies.
I get that it's likely an environmental thing like a newly developed allergie to pollen as the amounts here are moderate however I'm not sure if and when to be concerned. It all seems very disconnected and not related to specific clothes or anything that would touch my body, new soaps etc etc.
I'm also 90% sure it's not shingles as I've unfortunately had them before due to stress and that looked and felt different and wouldn't be all over my body.
When the rash starts flaring up it hurts a tiny bit (about 1-2/10) but subsides quickly.
Would just like to know what's a likely cause here bc every time I try to look up my kind of rash I only get pictures and cases of either clear scabies, hives, horrible horrible rashes etc. - nothing that looks like mine!
Basically I just want to know if I need to see urgent care tomorrow or can leave it be, even if it's slowly progressing up one of my arms, until my appointment next week.

Wondering if anyone has other odd symptoms possibly related to POTS? I have the typical high heart rate which is worse in the morning, but I am on Propranolol so there is some improvement.
I think I get what people explain as adrenaline dumps in the middle of the night always around 2am. I wake up and my body thinks it's done sleeping only after 3-4 hours of sleep. I land up laying in bed until my body cools off and I fall asleep maybe somewhere around 5am for another hour or so.
Some of my worst symptoms are pressure changes in my ears when standing up in the morning. This rarely goes away, except when I am at my best on those rare good days. Headaches are daily with varrying degree's of severity, usually behind my eyes and in the back of my head and occasionally throbbing in the temple area. The other one is a stiff neck. I have crunching crepitus all night long, and very limited movement throughout the day. Constant pain in my neck and upper back, which I resort to using Tramadol every day to relive it, and even that doesn't help most days.
Another weird symptom I have been getting for the past year or so is an oval shaped red rash in my armpits. At first it was just one, but now it is in both. I have tried all of the usual things and my Dr. doesn't have any idea what it is. It is usually the worst first thing in the morning after a night of adrenaline.
Difficulty swallowing in the morning, black floaters in my eyes, tingling in my face, fullness on one side of my face, pulsatile tinnitus at the end of the day, tinnitus that gets worse after lunch, horrible brain fog, and I am sure there are more, but I can't think of them now.
Diagnosed with POTS by a cardiologist that specializes in it, and I agree with the diagnosis, but I feel like there may be something else going on. I was check for a spinal fluid leak a few years ago, but there was no conclusive evidence of one.
I have a follow up soon and I wanted to ask my cardiologist about some of the other symptoms, but I don't know if they are even related.

Male, 6 years old, Houston TX. My son got many mosquito bites this weekend. One on the back of the leg (applied triamcinolone once over weekend). He woke up Monday and the bite was itchy with about 2.5 inches of redness around it. I applied more triamcinolone and some neosporin to the inner part of the bite. When he gets home from school it looks like a bullseye rash (from the steroid cream?) and was warm to the touch. I panicked. Instantly thought Lyme disease but I help him shower every night and I am very observant. TBH ticks and Lyme disease are a fear of mine so that’s probably why my mind went there. Anyways the rash is almost completely resolved so from start to finish it was 2.5 days long (minus the weekend because I’m not sure what day he got it). Also he has no other symptoms.I did take him to a dermatologist who said it’s definitely not Lyme and it’s a hypersensitivity reaction to a bug bite.
