Me and my gf have pretty different lives, and it kind of creates an imbalance in moods and how we converse.
She works at a place that doesnt treat her well, she doesnt have a lot of work experience so she can be a little naive about bad management (she admits), her family is extremely reliant on her to be financially available and tethered to them all the time, restricted due to responsibilities that stack 24/7, and she just stresses on where shes going to go next in life to the point shes just exhausted every day of the workweek and it ends up being a case of both of us not being in the same mood to do certain activities.
Im in a chill moment in my life and have been for about 3 years now. Good job, dont rlly stress about finances, not tethered or bounded by responsibilities that get in the way. I have freedom to do whataver i want, when i want. Now I wasnt always like this, ive done shitty jobs like fast food and warehousing with management that doesnt give a shit about you, and ive struggles with being poor and broke too, and i was sick of it so i improved myself to be in a career path where I can be happy. Will it last forever? Probs not! But im makin the most of it!
And tbh, she speak a lot of negative thoughts about her struggles. And its become quite a bit to always hear and bear. It actually drags my mood down when i hear about it so often and i get angry for her, and want to solve her problems. But i know i cant, she has to solve it on her own. But it kind of aggravates me that she doesnt take action in areas to where i would. But also, I cant control her, shes her own boss, she has to choose her path.
It rlly sucks, and i hate feeling kind of annoyed always hearing her negative vents very VERY OFTEN. I dont want to feel this way BUT I CANT HELP IT! Its not stuff i can really relate to enough to be invested all the time. I cant always be the emotional dump she wants me to be, and it really takes a toll on me mentally.
People bond over complaining i feel like, and because i dont have much to complain about. I find it hard to relate to others including my gf at these moments. So i struggle to really reciprocate anything back.
Look, complaining about life is nothing new. EVERYONE DOES IT. And thats fine, and i dont mind being involved being in a conversation every once and a while complaining about work or life struggles and how its so hard currently. Every now and then is fine, because its sparse. But she just does it so much that it takes a huge toll on my mental well being and ruins my mood.
This is more of a vent than anything that i dont know how to handle. I dont really have an answer for this other than just to suck it up bc she needs emotional support. But theres gotta be a middle ground here where i can voice this to her and not sound like a complete asshole right?

Hey guys I'm a 28 yr male and been diagnosed with CPTSD as well as a couple other things and have been struggling I had a prescription for sertraline and my health insurance was cancelled due to me falling out of the income requirements for it in approximately 6 or 7 days I'll be out of meds and honestly I've already been having thoughts of checking out does anyone know what I can do to deal with this? Without insurance I don't have my therapy or meds anymore and have been struggling with disassociation and my mental health in general

I thought I had been really clever but my maths has let me down and I am due to move upto 7.5 at the end of a week in France at half term. I’ve not had much in way of side effects. Day before shot day I tend to get urgent toilet 💩situation (TMI) but apart from that a bit of nausea but very manageable.
How was the shift to 7.5 from 5? I’m concerned to be travelling and going on a ferry but I like the routine of the injection day and I don’t really want to change anything.
Has anyone got any words of encouragement or should I wait and do it when I get home which would be a shift from Thursday morning to Sunday afternoon.

First off I am thankful that on the grand scheme these are relatively uncommon for me. Started up when I was 15 or so and used to get them a lot more. 20 years later I have had a few several month long episodes in the past decade or so but mostly clear.
Maybe I'm just used to it but now but when they come I don't get 10/10 agony episodes like I used to when I was a teenager. I take rather meticulous notes and most of the attacks are a 7.5-8/10 on the pain scale and last 1-1.5 hrs like usual. I'm sure you know the drill
0-5 minutes first twinge that it's coming, really just a sense
5-15 minutes hurts mildly, you know you're on the come up but it's not truly painful yet
15-25 minutes it starts to hurt pretty good
25-50 minutes to now you're above the "plateau" that constitutes severe pain, brief spikes into agonizing pain
50 minutes first time in ~25 minutes you experience a moment where the pain ticks below the "plateau", you know that you are on the way down
50-60 minutes pain winding down now, a few brief spikes back to the "plateau" level but they are short
60-70 minutes fading and very mild, similar to the feeling you get from 5-15 minute window except you know you are on the way down and not up
The only difference between episodes now and 20 years ago is that the pain highs aren't as bad. The length and cadence of them remain the same, but the heights of pain reached seem lower. I can't decide if they actually are lower or if I have just gotten used to them after all of these years.
Even today, I still know it's a really bad one if my eye starts to involuntarily water, but even so at peak these days I reach maybe 8/10 in pain, whereas when I was a teenager I would call it a 9/10. That said my average peak is probably 7.5/10, manageable and not that bad.
In fact I was only formally diagnosed 5 years ago when after a months long series of episodes my eye watered so much for an hour and I woke up the next morning to see that one of my pupils was smaller than the other.
Anyway glad to pontificate with you all here. I need to read up on more of the lingo and try the red bull trick. Usually I just wait it out and sometimes if I am at home hop in the shower. Sounds weird to say but even as a kid when these started happening I kind of just knew I had to live with it from time to time, yes it is excruciating at times but you get through it pretty quick anyway

A lil background lang. I'm a 3rd year medtech student and 1 sem na lang, intern na ako. I'm a transferee dito sa current school ko so as usual, overload ako this sem because I really wanna be an intern na. Tinake ko minors and majors ko na hindi pwedeng buksan ng summer.
My schedule is Monday to Saturday, 7am-5pm, and afternoon lang ng Monday ang free time ko kasi morning lang naman pasok ko. Kapwa ko MT students know that 3rd year is TIRED year for us. Nakakabaliw 2nd sem subjects lalo na CC2 and HEMA2. I'm surprised that I'm not yet crazy but all I know is I put all my worries and trust in God because without Him, it would be impossible to survive this sem without failing one of my subjects.
Prelims, I slacked off kasi I don't know what to do and my body and mind are still adjusting to this new schedule of mine. I failed most of my exams and yeah, I failed most of my subjects, too. Then here comes the testimony of our newly passed alumna. Ang tumatak talaga sa'kin ay yung sinabi niyang, "Ma, gagawin ko best ko kasi ayokong my pagsisihan." And that's the time I told myself, "Ngayon lang 'to and everything will be okay na after. Need ko lang tiisin."
From laging absent nung prelims due to anxiety and fatigue to always showing up no matter how tired I am. Walang tulog? Papasok. Pagod galing community? Papasok. Anxious kasi parang hindi enough yung inaral ko? Papasok. I am confident to say na not once did I miss my classes this midterm. Even in my Saturday class, I always show up. And believe me, may mga opportunities akong nakuha just because I showed up. Yung pag-aaral ko for exams, sinisiksik ko sa time ko kahit 3 hours na lang tulog ko. Sabi nga nila, "Ang tulog, mababawi, pero ang grades, hindi."
I was fucking losing it during our exams nitong midterms and after my last exam, nasa gate pa lang ako ng bahay namin, nag breakdown na ako due to pent up pagod and frustrations tapos sinalubong oa ako ng dalawa kong chanak, edi hagulgol so much na ako. 😭 I hugged them until I felt better. Good thing I have them kasi seeing them being all happy pag umuuwi ako from school is such a boost of serotonin for me. They're one of the reasons din naman why I'm doing my best.
Yesterday, I got the result of my HEMA2 major exam and long quiz. Kabado pa ako niyan kasi I'm overthinking baka bagsak ako and di ko na ma-clutch hema ko kasi super baba ng grade ko nung prelims. Nasa line of 6 ako that time and I even asked my prof if kaya pa ba mahabol and she just said, "Wag ka lang ma-late." Meaning, was ma-late at be always present para walang ma-miss na quizzes and activities. Tinignan ko and boom! 28/40 LQ ko and 64/90 major exam ko with 67 as our highest and tumaas ng 10 yung overall grade ko this midterm. From line of 6 to line of 7! Iiyak narin sana ako sa harap ng class namin kasi sobrang proud daw ni ma'am sa'kin. 😭
Ang daming bagsak sa major exam namin dahil sa malalang pa-case analysis ni prof and sobrang naiiyak na ako during and after exam that day. Lahat kami nahirapan at sabi nga ni prof, marami raw ang bumababa ang grades this midterm at kakaunti lang ang tumaas. I prayed to God na kahit 60% lang but voila! He gave me more than what I asked for! My hard work paid off. 😭 Hindi ko shinare sa family ko kasi I'm working hard in silence. Only my bf knows how hard I'm working to pass this sem and this achievement of mine.
Mas lalo akong ginanahan hahahaha! And I pray na yung ibang exams ko ay pasado rin!

hi guys.. so two weeks ago, i took a plan b and i took one again 6 days later. a few hours after i took the second plan b, i started bleeding a little and i kept light bleeding for 7 days. now yesterday (on the eigth day) my bleeding got a bit heavier like my regular period, along with some cramping. im still bleeding today on day 9. what is thissss 😭

Yesterday for the first time since the breakup in August 2022, I became so angry. Bungee was literally born in a barn. He was one of 7 in his litter. He was the smallest. He has a congenital deformity of the spine, but he has found a way to survive, thrive, and make life as adventurous as possible!
Bungee will need an experienced adopter or someone who is willing to learn, as he needs help going to the bathroom due to his spinal deformities. Bungee is able to wear a diaper quite easily because he has no tail! But he will have to be expressed at least 2 x a day. It is not difficult to learn and we will be right there to teach you, and to help whenever you have concerns.

Hi everyone, should start out with saying I am 27 female and work out almost every day, eat healthy and usually get 6-7 hours of sleep, take vitamins.. all the good things. I have a full time job and usually do work on the weekends and evenings for my side business.
In the last couple of years I have gotten sick more than I have my entire life.. It is usually a head cold or some type of sinus infection and takes about a week to go away but it will completely knock me out for that week and take me away from work friends and working out.
