As a player who spent 10+ years playing in casinos before the arrival of the deckmate #2s, all I can say is that I’ve seen a difference in the “action” created amongst hands dealt when a dealer hand shuffles vs it being done by a deckmate #2. I WILL NOT ever play cards in a casino that uses these specific shufflers for many of the reasons mentioned in other posts. People want to argue with you and say your not being cheated but you really can’t prove that you aren’t. A lot can be done when you introduce technology into anything. My theory is the casinos use the machines to create MAXIMUM RAKE and maximum hands per hour. Also, if the machine can read the cards and put the deck in a set order, why couldn’t it choose a seat to deal more winning hands to? Anyways, I‘ve spent enough time playing pre deckmate#2 and after to see the difference with my own eyes. Call me crazy, a conspiracy theorist or what ever you like. You will never see me sitting at a table that is deckmate#2 shuffled and dealt.

I think the technology has at least helped them gain a better margin from the card rooms in many ways.
Doug polk comments on one of Joey ingrams videos about the deckmate 2 scam that happened at prime in Houston texas, saying the only way to really ensure the safety of deckmate 2s is the dealer riffling the deck once or twice after it comes out the machine then cutting and dealing and hes right. If it happened in a small card room in Houston whats stopping casinos to set certain algorithms in place for certain better action players overall for the casino to win more often in poker then going to the pits and dumping back to the casino. Or maybe have certain players win for other reasons that benefit the casino in other ways they see. I notice many players calling me a fish. To bring some light to this subject, I am a winning player. I have been since 2008 and the game has not “passed me by”. I never for once since 2022 even thought to blame the machines or even look at which machines were dealing the cards up until strange things started happening. In 2021 and 2022 I was in Vegas and I grinded the 40/80LHE at bellagio and the plo games at Wynn and aria stakes up to 5/5 rock. In 2021 I beat up the Wynn(shuffle masters) plo games and destroyed bellagio(shuffle masters) limit hold ‘em games but couldn’t for the life of me book a win at aria(deckmate 2s) and I just chalked it up to running brutally bad. Fast forward to 2022, bellagio does a remodel of their tables and switch their old shuffle master machines out for deckmate 2s and I begin to go on a massive downswing. I go from beating up the games to not being able to book a win for weeks then months. I continue to lose at aria all year but continue to crush the Wynn which still has shufflemasters. So then the idea starts to get planted in my head somewhat that something may be going on here and go down this conspiracy hole which has now led me to where I’m at now. In late 2022 I moved to st Louis to live with my gf and they use all the old shuffle masters as well as tunica which isn’t far(i’d go there for the circuit events). I’d say I ran very below average in the plo games but it was normal variance and overall had a good winning comeback year. Fast forward October 2023 me and my girl break up. I moved down to Dallas and I did well in the 3 months there at TCH(hand shuffle) but I don’t really know anyone in Dallas and didn’t really like the city so I wanted to leave and travel more anyways since my break up. I Goto Cherokee(deckmate 2s) for a month and run awful in both the soft NL and PLO games. I managed to win 8k that month but I ran BAD. I must have played 200 hours that month and I was card dead completely for about 90% of hands. The same way I ran at aria and bellagio with deckmate 2s, a run bad in a way where it’s so demoralizing because I would just go hours, days on end just never making hands or flopping any equity. Next I Goto to tampa(deckmate 2s) for the month of March and I run really bad, the same way I ran at the other deckmate 2 properties, the run bad where you never EVER get dealt anything decent or flop any equity or even if you played a ahitty hand and got out of line still would always lose come showdown. Just Extremely demoralizing. Tampa I lost like 5k over 3 weeks and I said alright I’m getting the F outta here and going to Orlando(shufflemasters) orange city. I instantly begin to run normal again and go on to crush these games for the next 3 weeks. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago I come home for the holidays to NY, relax, hang with family and friends. Now fast forward to Tuesday, I drive down to parx(deckmate 2) for their good action Tuesday games and drive down to borgata(deckmate 2 and shufflemasters) for the rest of the weekend for their borgata poker open. Parx I run the same dreadful way of never having playable hands or flopping equity. Not a normal run bad where you just run into coolers or lose a flip and other normal variance, the stinging run bad like everywhere else with DM2s where I never make a hand even. Now I arrive to borgata my home turf where I lived and grinded pro from 2016-2020 and did very good. Borgata now has like half their tables with DM2s and others with old shufflemasters and what do you know I win at the tables with shufflemasters and get annihilated at deckmate 2 tables. Also there are other players requesting to leave their better 2/5 NL games for the 2/5NL game with the shuffle master machine, so it’s in many players heads, not just me. Anyways, I get wrecked Wednesday & Thursday, go back to parx Friday and proceed to drop 2k on a 15 hour session where I may have won just a couple of small hands. Of course this weekend is a very small sample size but it was all on par with how I’ve ran with deckmate 2s everywhere I’ve played. Now back to my situation, I don’t know if this is all coincidence but I feel as if now I have reached a point where I can’t trust a deckmate 2. I don’t know what it is about the casinos disliking me, maybe I’m not a friendly enough player to the staff at these casinos and don’t give any action at all to pits. I just don’t know what to make of it but I have now reached a point where I truly believe there is something correlated with these machines, certain players and rigging the action to keep certain players casinos want in and others out.
To add, the aria is known for skimming on tournament buy ins and lie about the actual numbers of buy ins. They are very shady and at the top of my list for shady shit going on with them. The tribal reservations too, they can practically get away with whatever they want. Pretty certain cherokee had a young house player in our game just building massive pots pre and just smashing boards and people chalking it up to a young gun playing fast and running well. It’s so easy for rooms to do these things.

I went to Colonial (then a junior high) 1992-1994. One year (I think 1994) the principal went MIA and for months school lunches were like bologna sandwiches only instead of pizza or anything actually cooked.
The rumor was the principal took off with school funds and lost it all in Tunica. I remember teachers threatening to fail us if they saw we talked to news reporters that may have waited outside the school.
At the time all us young naive students were like “I guess shit like that happens” but now thinking back, I don’t remember seeing any news about it and how would a principal have school cafeteria funds like that to blow at the casino? Seems far-fetched. But the teachers being so defensive is still what gets me wondering what happened.
All that to say, did anyone else go to school there then or remember anything like this?

Sure there’s always action. 24/7 round the clock you can find games. I find the card rooms to be quite lame as opposed to a casino. It just doesn’t have the same vibe, it’s not lively, it feels like an office in a shopping center rather than a casino.
It’s also starting to become infested with pros. The Indian community and some other bad regs are good action in the Dallas area but aside from them it’s mostly solid regs. I felt like I was playing 5/10 NL at bellagio in comparison to the 2/5NL at TCH las colinas many times. 2/5PLO is very hit or miss but can be great. 1/2PLO match stack at Dallas is a better game for sure, much softer and plays deep. The 1/2NL is a 500 cap and loaded with ppl who are tight. Also, me personally paying time out of pocket 13/hr(ends up being 2k a month playing full time hours) feels like it adds up to so much more money you’re paying.
If you can afford to travel the circuit or play in the Midwest. The games at horseshoe Tunica and St. Louis are by far the best plo action I’ve ever played in even dating back 5 years when ppl knew nothing. It plays 1/2/10 and stacks get deep.
The 2/5 NL games are loaded with either drunk gamblers or tight old guys, with a small mix of a good player here and there.
Texas poker and the state in general blows. A lot of money there and opportunity but the whole flat landscape, extreme weather conditions, soulless people, barely any diversity or anything distinctive that stands out for the city(talking specifically Dallas, although I disliked Houston too) just is a huge no for me.

I have a trip to Vegas coming up in January. Will be staying at resort with $25 tables (Venetian), though I can walk across the street to TI where I believe they have $15 tables during the day. I've played a few times in MS - Biloxi and Tunica. $5, $10, and $15 tables only. I've watched countless videos from Color Up and Casino Quest. The times I've played before I've generally stuck with some sort of variation of 3-point Molly.
I'm not sure if I've seen the following strategy on either channel, but I cannot imagine they haven't rolled it out. Nevertheless, I wanted to bring it here to discuss so I know how much of a mistake I may be making. The numbers below are assuming $25 table.

I'm not sure if I've seen the following strategy on either channel, but I cannot imagine they haven't rolled it out. Nevertheless, I wanted to bring it here to discuss so I know how much of a mistake I may be making. The numbers below are assuming $25 table.
- Assume bankroll will be $5k.
- No passline bet. $440 on the inside and lay $800 on the 4 or 10.
- First inside hit, regress to $160 across.
- I usually press and collect from there. I usually collect approx 50% of the win and press the other 50%.
What else am I missing? Is there a better way to do this?
